Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome true crime enthusiast to another chilling episode of Bloodstained Backstories.
I'm your host, Jase and I'm Summer.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Today we delve into a case that Grippton Nation, the
murder of a thirteen year old girl, Tristan Bailey by
fourteen year old eight and Fuci. This case highlights the
disturbing reality that sometimes the most terrifying monsters are those
we least expect.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
The tragic events unfold in Saint John's County, Florida on
May ninth, twenty twenty one, which was Mother's Day. Tristan Bailey,
a popular middle school student and cheerleader, was reported missing
by her family after they couldn't find her in her
room that morning.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
The same day, a chilling discovery was made. Tristan's lifeless
body was found in a wooded area near a retention pond,
having been brutally stamped one hundred and fourteen times. Forty
nine of those wounds were defensive wounds. This heneous act

(01:05):
left the community in shock and fear.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
The investigation quickly zered in on Aidan Fucci, a fourteen
year old classmate of friends of Aiden, told detectives that
he often talked about killing and drew pictures of mutilated bodies.
They didn't take him seriously, thinking it was just morbid
fantasies of a kid. Things such as this are often
warning signs, and it is important to remember that if
someone is behaving this way, you should report it to

(01:31):
a trusted adult immediately.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Maybe if Aden's friends reported it, the life of Tristan
might have been spared. Fucci's girlfriend at the time shared
that he frequently spoke about wanting to kill someone, claiming
he would find a random person to drag into the
woods and staff. Despite these disturbing remarks, his friends and
girlfriends didn't believe he would actually do it, after all,

(01:56):
they were just kids.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Upon interviewing aiden friends, deputies learned that Aiden and Bailey
were at his house and were seen leaving together at
about one in the morning. Aiden initially claimed he was
walking with Bailey until she turned down the road to
go home, and then he walked around for a little
while and arrived home at approximately three thirty in the morning.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Investigators pressed for details, as it is only a thirty
minute walk from the friend's home to Aiden's home. This
is when Future changed his story, stating that he and
Bailey got into an altercation after she tried to touch
his private parts. He claimed that he pushed her away,
which caused her to fall and hit her head.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
The evidence told a very different story. She was stabbed
one hundred and fourteen times, and forty nine of those
were defensive wounds. She had the word karma written on
the inside of her left angle and a smiley face
drawn on her right ankle. A buck knife with a
missing tip was found in the pond near Triste body
with the missing tip lodged in her scalp. Bloodstained clothing

(03:04):
and a matching knife sheath were also found in Fugi's home,
leading to his arrest for second degree murder, and it
was later changed to first degree murder.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Fuchi's mother faced chargers for tampering with evidence after attempting
to wash the blood out of his genes in the
bathroom sink. Though later released, she pled no contest and
received probation with the condition of serving thirty days in jail.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
In February of twenty twenty three, as jury's selection was
about to begin, Aiden pled guilty to first degree murder.
The judge, deeply affected by the case, remarked that this
crime was committed out of a twisted desire to experience killing,
not out of any usual motive like passion or revenge.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Aidan was sentenced to life in prison, eligible for parole
after twenty five years at sixteen years old. His harrifying
actions left an indelible mark on all those who followed
the case. The tragedy of Tristan Bailey's life cut short
will forever be remembered.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
While in the Duvall County jail, Aiden threatened officers, menacing
and extorting other teen inmates, and has been sprayed twice
with chemical or strength. Reports have portrayed Aiden as combative
and bullying, fighting another teen inmate and forcing others to
provide him items from the jail commissary. One reported that
Future manipulates and extorts inmates by threats and intimidation. Fuchi

(04:35):
was unable to provide a commissary receipt for the large
amounts of commissary items in his cell, and it was
verified to whom the commissary items rightfully belonged to. When
officers entered his cell to obtain those items, he became
highly agitated and made threats against the officer's life. He
threatened to kill their families while beating on his cell
doors in a loud, vicious manner. Reports say Aiden has

(04:59):
on a case as ben placed in a restraint chair
and put in isolation cells for the safety of inmates, officers, himself,
and property.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
A Christmas date fight in twenty twenty one has the
report stating that Aiden began a fight by striking another
inmate in the face. Officers tried breaking up the fight
with chemical spray and Future eventually complied, but the other
inmate continued to strike Fuji and was eventually hit with
the taser. After the incident, Fuchi was sent to solitary confinement,

(05:32):
and since the incident, Fuchi has been relentless in his
threats against the inmate's life. Fuci, now eighteen, has been
transferred to another correctional facility, but it was said it
was a routine transfer.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Could this tragedy have been prevented had Fuci's friends spoken
up about his disturbing behavior? Should they be charged as
accomplices for knowing about his intentions and not notifying anyone?

Speaker 2 (05:57):

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
