Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome back to another episode of Bloodstained Backstories. I'm your
host Jace, and I'm your host Summer. Today, we are
going to introduce you to Eileen Wernos, an American female
serial killer. Aileen was a street prostitute along the highways
in Florida. She claimed her clients had either raped her
or attempted to rape her, and so she shot and
(00:23):
killed all seven of them and robbed them while claiming
it was in self defense.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Aileen was born on February twenty ninth, nineteen fifty six,
in Michigan. Her mother was just fourteen years old when
she married Aileen's father, who was eighteen years old. Diane,
Aileen's mother, gave birth to a boy named Keith, and
two years later, at the age of sixteen, gave birth
to Aileen. Diane and Aileen's father, Leo, divorced two months
(00:54):
before Aileen was born.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
In nineteen sixty seven, Leo was sentenced to life in
prison for kidnapping and raping a seven year old girl.
He was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and he hung himself while
he was in prison. Aileen never had the chance to
meet him.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Diane abandoned her children by leaving them with her parents,
who by the way, were both alcoholics. When Aileen was
almost four years old, Diane's parents adopted both Keith and
Aileen in nineteen sixty and they moved to Michigan.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
By the time Eileen was eleven years old, she was
engaging in sexual activity at school in exchange for cigarettes, drugs,
and food. Eileen claimed her grandfather sexually assaulted her and
beat her when she was a child. Before he would
beat her, the grandfather would force her take off her clothes.
(01:48):
At the age of fourteen, Eileen was raped by her
family friend and she became pregnant. She went to a
home for unwed mothers and gave birth to a baby
boy and placed them up for a option. Within the
next few months. After giving birth, Eileen dropped out of
school and her grandmother died of liver failure. At the
age of fifteen, Ellen's grandfather kicked her out of the house.

near her old home and made money supporting herself as
a prostitute.

disorderly conduct and firing a twenty two caliber pistol from
a moving vehicle. Later, she was charged with failure to appear.

had a temper and at one fun point hit her
husband with his own cane. He proceeded to get a
restraining order against her all within a few weeks of
them getting married. They know their marriage on July twenty first,

but was arrested on July fourteenth, nineteen seventy six, at
a club and charged with assault and disturbing the peace

corner pocket that she was looking for.

the stolen car. Aileen just was not able to stay

detained Aileen for questioning when a male companion accused her
of pulling a gun on him and demanding two hundred dollars.
