The exploits of Dan Garrett, a rookie patrolman who, by wearing bullet-proof blue chain mail, transformed himself into the mysterious Blue Beetle, a daring crusader for justice.
The Blue Beetle was created by Charles Nicholas. The character made his first appearance in August of 1939 in the comic book Mystery Men #1, published by Fox Features Syndicate.
The Blue Beetle radio serial aired from 05-15-40 to 09-13-40 as a CBS 30 minutes, syndicated series. Actor Frank Lovejoy provided the voice of the Blue Beetle for the first thirteen episodes. Later episodes were uncredited.
After his father was killed by a gangster's bullet, young Dan Garrett joined the New York Police Department, but soon tired of the slow pace and red tape of police work.

the child's apartment were securely locked andbolted from the inside. A later secret
investigation by Dan Garrett as the BlueBeetle discloses as the occupants of an adjoining

sabotage ring whose purpose is to destroya trainload of explosives and war munitions as
it passes over the Rocky Gorge Bridgefrom the United States to Canada. As

from an air pistol by a younggirl named Vickie, one of the conspirators.

Today's episode of the Fox feature TheBlue Beetle is the second part of
a story entitled Sabotage Incorporated. Inthe previous episode went with Bee, Charles,
president of Explosives Incorporated, has beenstabbed to deaths apparently with a knce
pick as he was poning the policeabout a shipment of munitions. Investigation discloses

no murder weapon and no clues tothe killer. All doors and windows of
the child's apartment were securely locked andbolted from the inside. A later secret
investigation by Dan Garrett as the BlueBeetle discloses as the occupants of an adjoining
apartment, a professor Dannisgiu, andhis male secretary, are part of a

sabotage ring whose purpose is to destroya trainload of explosives and war munitions as
it passes over the Rocky Gorge Bridgefrom the United States to Canada. As
the Blue Beetle confronts them, heis rendered unconscious by a suffocating gas shot
from an air pistol by a younggirl named Vickie, one of the conspirators.

As the episode ends, the conspiratorsplanned to dispose of the Blue Beetle
by jumping his bound and unconscious bodyaboard the munition's train, which is to
