Speaker 5 (01:37):
It's gonna be a festive Friday weekend. It's gonna be
a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Man.
Speaker 9 (01:40):
Before we we tap into the weekend and what everybody
is doing, I gotta say, man, Shep and kool A,
you guys are really adamant about the Braylen's breakdown, Braylen's
breakdown by breakdown, Brayn's breakdown I'm talking about so much
so when after we did the first one, it was like,
we gotta do it more, more and more and more.
I say all that to say this man, like the
engagement on the engagement on social the comments, you know,
(02:02):
and people saying today this is how they like to
watch the show, This is why they come to this show.
Speaker 5 (02:06):
I'll come to the network. We appreciate that. Man, We're
all a part of that.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Man.
Speaker 9 (02:10):
Ryan gets to put it in, kool Aid gets to
put it in. Shall we go over to plays and
Fear where we're gonna talk about like this is.
Speaker 5 (02:16):
It's great to be a part of the show. It's
great to be a part of you guys.
Speaker 9 (02:18):
Man, And thanks for commenting and liking and saying those things,
because now we know Braylan's breakdown on the Brailin nevers
Chp show. This is what you guys want. So now
we're gonna make sure that we do more and more
and more feature it, do better things, and eventually the
graphics everything will get better and better. So appreciate you
guys for being honest out there.
Speaker 8 (02:36):
And Freddie Felder the chat real quick.
Speaker 10 (02:38):
He says, I'm adamant, adamant about the Brailen's breakupsolutely Freddick.
Speaker 6 (02:44):
I said this before we even aired the first one.
It's the best stuff on television streaming. And if you
want to carry.
Speaker 5 (02:53):
You'll like Steve Nate Smith and Ryan Clark yelling each other.
Speaker 6 (03:00):
I don't understand why I don't up with da put
it grab a big pin that says ba, ba badass
out right here or Braylan Edwards if you want to,
or pray or the Bee number.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Self promote left and right.
Speaker 6 (03:14):
Hey, look, I'm glad people said this about Braylan's breakdown
because it's justified. Yes, I mean it is real, okay,
And personally, I love learning.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
It's one of my favorite things to do, working.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
With people like you, working with others I've worked in
the booth. I learned from things. I asked questions a lot,
but we'd learn it off a lot. You taught a
lot of people a lot of different things yesterday with
those three clips. And we're not just gonna do it
with lions.
Speaker 5 (03:38):
No.
Speaker 6 (03:38):
You notice he didn't do it really with wide receivers either,
trying to make it a lot of different stuff. See
the other stuff.
Speaker 9 (03:43):
It's fun too, is like somebody pointed this out when
I was having a conversation about it. And if you notice,
like this isn't just the play like Brian Bodimer does
not love Baldy body does a great job.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
But this isn't him.
Speaker 9 (03:54):
Talking through the play and having the camera or the
little digital line point to something. This is me getting
excited as I watch it. I'm actually learning more. Like
yesterday when I was breaking down the plays on the show,
there was more things that I saw that I didn't
see the first time. And now I'm getting excited, like oh, okay, okay,
now run that back. Let me tell you what I
just noticed. Like that stuff is fun, but it happens.
(04:16):
I want you guys to go in the mind of
the player, like I'm seeing this thing live and I'm
realizing what's happening as this play is taking shape, how.
Speaker 5 (04:26):
It got to be a successful play.
Speaker 6 (04:27):
It's fun for us because as I've said about football
at probably at nauseum, is everybody watches just the ball. Now,
I've been around a lot of players in my life,
and I've been fortunate. So what we do is they've
always taught me to watch the guards, and I watched
the guards, and then my eyes eventually take me to
the football, but I concentrate on the interior part of
(04:49):
the offensive line.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
What you did yesterday.
Speaker 6 (04:52):
Is you showed us not just where the ball was
going and why it was successful, but also the other
little nuances that take place in football. The ultimate team
sport to make that play successful, but future plays successful.
And I think that's a really important piece. And I
hope and I bet you people are gonna watch games
(05:13):
differently after watching Braylan's breakdown.
Speaker 5 (05:15):
They could think about it too.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Schep Man.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
It's like this would be a long season. You know
we're only into.
Speaker 9 (05:19):
This is what week three, now week four for the
Detroit Lions and the four it's eighteen weeks in the
season and then you got the playoff. There's a lot
of growing that this offense will do. There's a lot
of growing that this defense do, and through these breakdowns
we can chance to watch it grow and watch.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
It take shape together.
Speaker 9 (05:34):
You'll see different things and how they use certain plays
to set up certain things that we may bring back
something from that Dave Montgomery run. How they set all
the action up on that play and it was the
inside is on run. Next time we show that play, shop,
don't be surprised if we're showing you the insie set
up run and he puts the ball hand in the stomach,
takes the hand out that means the ball's right there,
and throws the ball down the field to a Khalif
(05:56):
Raymond who cracked down on Kyle Hamilton or two of
Alma Ron Saint Brown or jam going on the deep over.
So we'll bring that back. I guarantee you'll see.
Speaker 6 (06:03):
I don't want to misleap people. We didn't start at
the beginning of the regular season. He started in training camp.
His first breakdown was genius was unbelievable. Catch his second
breakdown with a Meek Robertson on Great Coverage. Listen every
once in a while, I can remember a few things,
and we were asking, I kept tell me a little
(06:26):
bit about this Isaac Tesla and what you like about him,
And by golly, that week he had Isaac.
Speaker 9 (06:32):
Touchdown this week, by the way, touchdown this week, touchdown
touchdown alert, touchdown alert.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
I like everybody, everybody touchdown alert.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
We gave you predictions later on today we can, I hope.
Speaker 9 (06:42):
So you know in that case, I'll save it. But
you see where I'm going. I do see where I'm going.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
We'll talk about defensive line so much. This will be.
Speaker 10 (06:52):
I will say that y'all know me, man, there's players
that we can latch onto and it's awesome when they
the kool aid, right.
Speaker 8 (07:01):
Kay cunning In was one of those guys, and I
thought Isaac tulseall.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Was just bring up Kate Cunningham.
Speaker 11 (07:06):
Hold on, son, I literally feel like I literally feel
like Denzel Washington.
Speaker 9 (07:13):
I said, so we got to keep k Cunningham at
that happened to day when you're about to tap me, Yeah,
said that's how much time I have.
Speaker 5 (07:26):
Equalizer seven.
Speaker 6 (07:28):
You and I gotta have side bets on how long
it takes kool aid to mention cunning.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
In for the Pistons.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
Equalizer down Wick equalizer.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Oh right.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
First of all, let me I've never seen John Wick.
Speaker 6 (07:38):
Okay, okay, because I'm not a big Keanu Reeves frame
big Denzel Washington fan saw all three. Literally watched it
the other day while I was working, and my son goes,
are you kidding me? You're watching this again? I said,
Equalizer three, baby, Yeah, I'll do it.
Speaker 5 (07:54):
Equalizes Oh you oh, equalizer all day?
Speaker 12 (07:58):
Equalizer not the TV show, no, no of.
Speaker 5 (08:04):
No offense to her. She's queen.
Speaker 9 (08:06):
Look, but here's the thing, like she's the queen of
another thing. She's not the queen of the equalize right right, right, Yeah,
I would take I'll take Denzel's character as well. I
think it was slightly more believable, although either one, neither
one of them are believable. But Denzel Man when he
locks in in the third movie, we saw a darker
(08:26):
side of Denzel. Obviously, he gets saved by the girl
at the end so he can tap back into the
serene side. But the stuff he was doing in part three,
I said, man, who.
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Hurts you where he's making a guy walk on the street.
Speaker 9 (08:38):
In the beginning in the beginning crazy, like the first
scene when he goes into the house.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
He just seems like he's too old to be doing that.
Like when I watched The Equalizer, I'm like, all right,
he kind of like sixty. Is he really out here
just breaking people's necks like this?
Speaker 9 (08:51):
Because he's one of the greatest actors of all time
for some reason, believe it.
Speaker 7 (08:55):
A little bit all the time.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
I love because I love how Zenny is. But I'm like, man,
get out of here.
Speaker 6 (09:01):
Yeah, I loveel any less believable than Liam Neeson and Taken.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Oh man, I don't get me started on Liam Neeson.
I can't stand that a particular excuse, right, you know what,
this is.
Speaker 8 (09:12):
The perfect segment.
Speaker 10 (09:13):
I told KG this, I'm gonna leave you guys up
on the screen while I'm talking.
Speaker 8 (09:16):
Look, I'm gonna leave them, okay, because I need to understand.
Speaker 10 (09:18):
I need to know where do I go and get
this bodyguard stouter kid from Its kind of looking like
y'all about met somebody up in the back door.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Bro.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Yeah, all black back in Black Man.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
He's had an influence on.
Speaker 9 (09:35):
I'm like that, you look comfortable, love the city muscles
right now.
Speaker 6 (09:41):
I cannot match this, but he hasn't. I used to
wear just T shirts, defense cool like.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
Shirts.
Speaker 6 (09:49):
And my wife says, you know, she sees how he dresses, right,
so she goes out and buys me short sleeve shirts.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
But they're a little dressier, right, a little bit.
Speaker 7 (09:59):
Yeah, Hey, it's hugging the gun show a little bit.
Speaker 8 (10:03):
I see it.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
I see it.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
I try to every once in a while, I work out.
It just I work out. It just doesn't turn your head.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
Tell you something, man.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
My sister sees him at the every day.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Every morning.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
She is constantly telling me that.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Family get togethers. Oh my god, I've got to bring
She watches my nephews. I gotta bring her grandkids. I
gotta see brain.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
They will just he's so strong, he's so muscular. They're
gonna be just blown away by that.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
I was out of breath when I saw her this morning.
Like legitimately, as.
Speaker 9 (10:38):
I walk out of the weight room, you walk out
to get a breather in between sets. She's walking in
to go down to another room, which is a fitness
room where she teaches a class and she's going, I'm
walking out and she sees me and she's all polite,
very fluffy in the morning, has all the energy.
Speaker 5 (10:53):
Hey, Brandon, how's it going on? Let me get a.
Speaker 6 (10:58):
Breathing, does not get where, does not drink, does not yell,
or she's perfect.
Speaker 3 (11:04):
What I wouldn't say that.
Speaker 6 (11:11):
It's funny, but she obviously really likes Brailan and for
good reason. Who doesn't. And it's not because of Braylan's breakdown.
It's just because of the type of person he is.
That's what happens on this show. He brings it in.
So it's great to have everybody here. It is really excited.
Ryder Cup is underway. The US sucked in the morning
the morning.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Isn't this the consistent of the last decade or so?
Speaker 4 (11:32):
It is?
Speaker 9 (11:33):
Man like, this's the one where I'm like, I'm really
turning into the rare way and Blue I put it on.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
I'm like, you guy's got to do something that in
the Olympics.
Speaker 3 (11:41):
Of course, of course this is likewise same thing.
Speaker 6 (11:44):
I mean, I'm anytime there is you know, my kids
roll their eyes anytime there's a major champion tennis match.
Speaker 3 (11:51):
Or golf event. I'm rooting for the American That's just
the way I roll.
Speaker 6 (11:54):
But uh, the thing that bothers me is there's there's
reputations for teams and players and coaches all over the place.
The US reputation was they're selfish, they don't play.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
As a team.
Speaker 6 (12:08):
And as many times since they try and tell us
that's not true, they go out and perform the way
they did in the morning, and it just people can't
help but bring it back up.
Speaker 9 (12:21):
What it seems like is just from the outside looking in,
and I think this is all sports. It seems like
the other countries like they kick it, they buy and
it's not that deep. They don't take themselves as serious
some of them do. They're a holes everywhere, and they's
selfish people everywhere. But it seems like there's far more
few in between over there, and they rock together at
least with their countries or you know countries. I mean, yeah, countries,
(12:42):
the same continent, the whole nine yards over here. It's
the same in all sports. The catch this the territorial. Yeah,
the territorial. Like I like my success, I like my
slice of power, my slice of heaven, Like I'm rice
and d Schambo, I'm Brooks Koepka, I'm Dustin Johnson, I'm
insert player here, and you only see a couple of
them that vibe together. She's like Dustin Johnson, not Dustin Johnson,
(13:03):
but like the two didn't look alike Speith and uh, JT,
Speed and JT and and JT and Tiger and Tiger
and Rory.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
Outside of that is a lot of individualism. It's like
that in.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
Tracks weren't great two years ago. Though okay they got
they got their rest kicked.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
It seems like that.
Speaker 6 (13:20):
It just seems I remember when Hal Sutton put Tiger
Woods and Phil Micholson together at Oakland Hills. I covered
that in two thousand and four. They lost eighteen and
a half to nine. It was an absolute butt kicking.
Speaker 9 (13:33):
They don't listen to each other like it's one of
those things where you can see even through the TV,
you can legitimately see.
Speaker 5 (13:41):
That is your exactly.
Speaker 9 (13:44):
Make sure you can see him through the TV conversating Hey, look,
you know I would do this or I would do that,
or you know on this maybe take this, or what
do you think about your three iron? What do you
think about Like this just natural conversation, and sometimes you
see him tapping like maybe I'll put this back in
the bag, maybe I'll use this, or maybe you're right,
maybe this is best for the team in this moment
with USA, It's not that it's like, this is my situation.
(14:07):
This is what I'm going to do, regardless if it's
the right player or not. It's my play, it's not
the team play.
Speaker 5 (14:14):
Am I wrong in it?
Speaker 6 (14:15):
No?
Speaker 3 (14:15):
I think you're right.
Speaker 6 (14:16):
It sure seems like Europe embraces this event more than
the United States. Scotti Scheffler's the best player in the world.
It's one of the best players you've ever seen. He's
one of the best ball strikers you've ever seen. He
lost five, and was it five and three or five?
Speaker 7 (14:30):
I heard he didn't have a good show.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
And then this afternoon he's getting his ass kicked together,
not him but him has group. Yeah, he and his
I think he's with He was with Russell Henley this morning,
which to me was a very strange pairing. But he's
losing again today, big, big time. I think he's down four.
Speaker 9 (14:48):
Is it that Europe takes this an event more seriously?
Because no, I agree with you. I'm saying because of
the dominance of USA in the majors outside of this
and the dominance over the years, and when you look
at the last thirty years, like there's only a couple
Europeans that held the title or got to the number
one spot or were in the top three consistently, and
that's spot as dominated by Tigers, Scheffler, Dust and speed,
(15:11):
Tom has insert, Bubba Watson had his run. Like it's
just been nothing but USA and the majors and the
jackets and the things. This is the one thing where
they've been cooking with grease and so this is the
one thing that they just continuously dial into and we
can punish them here.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
Let's never let the foot off the gas.
Speaker 6 (15:27):
Yeah, So that's why I wanted to bring it up
and ask you about that track can be a very
singular sport, yes, unless you're obviously right, you were an
elite track athlete and then you got a football where
you're the ultimate team sport. Now in golf, maybe it's
a little different because it's the same sport, but it's
just a different format.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
It's singular.
Speaker 6 (15:50):
I gotta beat you, and then suddenly you and I
are playing together, okay, and playing alternate.
Speaker 3 (15:54):
Shot, you know, best ball.
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Whatever.
Speaker 6 (15:58):
The difference in the mindset of a singular event us
a track athlete and football, how do.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
You change it? And what was the biggest adjustment for
those two sports?
Speaker 9 (16:08):
Do you think, uh, yeah, well track, it is the individuality.
I was a high jumper, I was one hundred runner.
I was a two hundred running indoor season. I was
a sixty meters dash runner, so you know, running those
individual sports. Like I'm cooking, this is what I do.
I'm dialing on, warming up on my own. I got
my huge I have my headphones. I'm getting ready for
this race. I'm preparing to beat the field. You know,
even if guys are on my team in this particular race,
(16:30):
stay or not. And my job is to get to
the finish line first. So I was always doubt into that,
But then when you get me into a relay, I
can turn that off because I know that in order
to win this race, I have to be tapped into
the team. I have to make sure that I'm starting
at the right mark. I got to make sure that
I turn around to get the baton at the right
point because I am a team guy. But that team
(16:50):
that in relay it comes from playing football. I started
playing football track at the same time. Football is the
ultimate team sport, so I'm able to tap into that
when I'm running track. Like if you don't run, if
you don't play football, and you're just tracked. That's why
you see the team in USA. But they won this year.
Congratulations the USA and women and the men. They struggled
with the baton for the last thirty years because everyone
(17:13):
has an ego, like they just believe that because we're
the fastest four hundred runners in the US when we
go to Olympics, will win. No, you have to do sticking,
you have to practice, you have to make sure your
marks are together. You got to make sure that you
leave at the right point every time, and all these things.
But they're so arrogant. They don't want to work with
the other guys, the other women. They don't train together,
they don't go to the same cities. They just figure
(17:35):
they can do it at the Olympics.
Speaker 5 (17:37):
And what happened. They go out there, they.
Speaker 9 (17:38):
Drop the batah, they step outside the own they don't
they don't qualify. That's been the USA for It's been
the USA in and off and on for the last
thirty years.
Speaker 6 (17:48):
It's hard to change that, isn't it. It's really hard
yet the ego aspect of it. For some reason, it's
much more relevant and prevalent for the United States than
it is anywhere else.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Wonder why that is.
Speaker 4 (18:01):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (18:02):
I don't think you have an answer. I don't know
if anybody has an answer. It's just a very interesting dilemma.
And it's continuing in the afternoon so far. Actually, the
US is up to and I think they're tied in
two others, so maybe they're making a little bit of
a run here.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
That would be great.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
We'll keep you updated throughout.
Speaker 6 (18:16):
The Braillan Edwards Show. And of course it's going to
be a really exciting weekend. You've got Tigers and Red
Sox all weekend.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
Tigers got.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
There, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
It was Texas in uh Cleveland a little.
Speaker 6 (18:29):
Well, Texas is not playing for much spoiler. And I
know I didn't say that it's a meaningless game. I
think every game is meaningful. It may not be for
you and I.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
But when it wasn't meaningful.
Speaker 6 (18:44):
Well, yeah, there are players who are trying to put
some decent tape together.
Speaker 5 (18:49):
They're trying to show.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
Hey, you know what, I'm still I'm sure they're incentives
for certain players, but Cleveland obviously, the the sense of.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Urgency is higher for Cleveland. Yeah, Detroit going to Boston.
Speaker 6 (19:01):
Boston did not qualify yet because they were beaten by
Toronto last night six to one. Boston's played some pretty
good baseballs as of late, and of course we you
know what Detroit is playing for.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
So that's gonna be a hell of a series.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
It really is.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Now when I don't think we'll work in our favor,
I don't know. I want to have hope, but hey,
just based on what I'm seeing right now, and it's
cool day got the win last night with Trey Melton,
but I just don't know going forward, that's a tough series.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Like you said, well remember the series we really got
to keep an eye on is is Houston.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Yeah, and so Houston.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Didn't want to go to get Angels.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
They're not saying the Angels are a pushover, but a
favorable series for.
Speaker 6 (19:37):
Houston again, a situation much like Cleveland, where Houston's playing
somebody that doesn't have as much incentive as the Astra
has been playing like crap. I mean, they won last
night eleven to five. They put up double digit hits.
That's fine. But now they go to Los Angeles they
still lost five of the last six.
Speaker 5 (19:54):
Yeah.

a really good example. We had it in our group chat,
really good example of a guy. I would have no
problem with him starting a game in the polls postseason.

None.

(25:33):
which gota do it every week? Go to Planet Fitness.
This is another reason why.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
Hey, hey, I got a quick question for all of us.
Speaker 6 (25:39):
What up though, just before we get into the game
that might intrigue you other than Lions.
Speaker 7 (25:45):
And Brown Okay, I see lay it on me.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
How many teams in the NFL A must.
Speaker 7 (25:52):
Watch small handful, I'll say that.
Speaker 5 (25:55):
You know how.
Speaker 6 (25:56):
We were talking yesterday about where Detroit ranks among executives.
There's an athletic a piece out that had the Lion's
rank ninth best front offices. Okay, we talked about it.
Don't need to get into that. But I got to
thinking about this. I'm like, man but everybody wants to
watchachther They're a fun team to watch, is that fair?
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (26:16):
Probably the funnest out of all of them.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
If there is such a word. Yeah, I would say so.
Speaker 6 (26:21):
I enjoyed watching like the Colts back in the day
when Manning was at the Helm. I loved watching the
Niners when Montana was at the Helm. The Saints, you
just felt like they were gonna score all the time.
What are the teams that are must watch right now?
Speaker 9 (26:34):
And yeah, fun to watch or must watch? Because there's
a difference.
Speaker 3 (26:39):
That's a good question. Yeah, can I say both?
Speaker 9 (26:42):
All right, fine, I'll give you minds right now. Okay,
fun to watch, there's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
Speaker 5 (26:50):
Eight, fun to watch, fun to watch.
Speaker 9 (26:53):
If you want to say fun to watch, give me
the Bucks because you know at the end of the game,
Baker's gonna do something specially.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
Give me the Packers. It just is what it is.
Speaker 9 (27:00):
Is you can watch the defensive side of things, have
some fun with what they're doing.
Speaker 5 (27:02):
On the offense side things.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Sometimes you get for bringing up the defense.
Speaker 9 (27:05):
So it's not just no, it's not no no that
it's because of the totality.
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Beautiful.
Speaker 9 (27:10):
The Rams, they're a fun team to watch, offense and defense.
Bills Josh Allen, plus they do some things well. Chiefs
Now is where it starts to get triggered. The Lions
and Bengals in the Ravens Bengals only offense, but must watch.
There's Lamar Raven. I mean's well Samar Jackson for the Ravens.
There's Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. There's Lions.
Speaker 6 (27:33):
Hmm, you didn't say one of the teams that first
right away, and that's who Philadelphia.
Speaker 5 (27:41):
They're not must watch because they're born.
Speaker 7 (27:43):
They are boring.
Speaker 9 (27:43):
They're like it's like watching paint Drive. Really their offense,
it's like watching paint Drive.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Like right now, I suppose, But I love their talent,
it's a lot of it, But I'm waiting for their
talent to jump off the screen at me.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
I think they're gonna fix gonna fix it at some point.
Speaker 9 (27:57):
Even last year, you had a ton of games where
it was like waiting for Jalen Hursts to get his
rapport with A. J. Brown, waiting for him to figure
it out with Dallas Goddard. Like, yes, the element of
Sakwon Markley made it amazing. And that's in the second
half of games, in the second half of the season.
But watching paint ry, Jalen Hurts running around, not throwing
the ball downfield and getting forty yards here, sixty yards here,
(28:19):
making plays the touch puts where they're off side every
single time. Remember I told you it was gonna take
something to change the rule. Maybe it's been being off
side when they do it, but it's a boring offense
to watch. Must watch. I gotta watch Lamar Jackson. I
have to watch Josh Allen. I have to watch the
Lions and what they're gonna do. That's it.
Speaker 5 (28:38):
Because the Chiefs, now, the Chiefs haven't been must watching
four years.
Speaker 7 (28:42):
Joe Burrow is hurt.
Speaker 9 (28:43):
And that's why IM saying Joe Burrow is hurt. Yeah,
three teams for if Burrow. And it's not even the team.
The team is a must wat the offense is must watch. Yeah,
three teams. Okay, that's good.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
That's that's well well said, well documented kool aid. How
many of are out.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
There that healthy Bucks team?
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Is it?
Speaker 5 (29:02):
Okay?
Speaker 9 (29:03):
Healthy Bucks team is a silent for Yeah, because I
like watching the Bucks. Yeah, I like watching Baker. I
like watching the defense.
Speaker 6 (29:10):
But but you said the Rams too. The Rams are
playing on both sides of the ball and they've got
an electric offense. Because so it's five. So that's fine, okay, good?
All right, So Bills, Ravens, Lions, box Rams, and I.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
Tell you like this. Yeah, and here's another one. No,
this isn't.
Speaker 9 (29:28):
This isn't another one. If it wasn't for Josh Allen,
the Bills are not must watch.
Speaker 7 (29:34):
That's the fact.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
I would agree with that. But that's like saying if
it weren't for Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 9 (29:37):
The Ravens, but the Ravens were must watched before Lamar Jackson.
The Baltimore Ravens have always been a must watch team
because of how good the defense was, and then even
Flocco figured it out for a point.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
Like they were must watched the Black on Black.
Speaker 9 (29:51):
I think they were a must watch team, maybe because
I played in the division on biased to it, But
the Ravens have been a must watch team for twenty years.
Speaker 7 (29:58):
But it's flipped. Used to be defensively because.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
At least a strong twelve.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Yeah, now it's offensively because of Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 7 (30:05):
And I get that.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
I'm just saying I don't know if I could see that.
Speaker 6 (30:09):
I'm saying, if you take him out, I sure don't
think they're not there must watch.
Speaker 7 (30:13):
Not from offense, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (30:14):
Yeah, and the uniforms, I don't, I mean, I don't.
I don't take that as much into consideration. I suppose
Otherwise I'd probably say Dallas with their uniforms, and I
sure would never do that.
Speaker 7 (30:23):
Okay, they're like I was about to say, it is
Dallas won.
Speaker 5 (30:26):
That was but not but only because of a train ride.
Speaker 9 (30:28):
Yeah, I agree on And I wasn't gonna say because
they're good the chaos, how bad are they gonna beat?
What are they gonna stupid? How are they going to
almost beat the Eagles up just to not beat him again?
Speaker 7 (30:41):
What is Jerry gonna say after the game?
Speaker 9 (30:43):
Because because of the the bs, the the bauchery, say
that top five over time, Bright, Rams, Lions, Ravens, Bills, Bucks.
Speaker 10 (30:53):
Yeah, and the team that I would add to that
is the Chargers. I like the I like what they're doing.
Speaker 8 (30:59):
I like Justin. I believe where the trajectory is.
Speaker 10 (31:02):
And if I did pick them to knock off the
Chiefs in this division, then that to me is what
elevates them just a little bit.
Speaker 8 (31:07):
And I think that justin Herbert's arc.
Speaker 9 (31:10):
No, no, no, no, you're right, they're gonna knock the Teeste offs.
They're good, but they are the AFC version of the Eagles.
They're born like like and even if like, even when
Justin Herbert has three hundred yards past.
Speaker 5 (31:21):
It's still like it's like it's.
Speaker 6 (31:25):
They're really good to make some unbelievable I think he's Yeah,
but where's the the Chargers were.
Speaker 9 (31:32):
They were more of a must watch when they had
Mike Williams and Keenan Allen. The offense was out of
this world. Then they had Bolsa and then they had
Khalil Mack. They couldn't beat anybody, but they were fun.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
To watch still. But yeah, and we don't have Keenan Allen.
Speaker 5 (31:46):
But this was the first.
Speaker 10 (31:48):
Yeah, you're not you're not buying the Herbert windows. He
been back in some throws. Man, he's not must watched.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
I don't, I don't.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
I don't go into it.
Speaker 7 (32:00):
Up until this day, he was a glorified game manager.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
I hate watch this.
Speaker 7 (32:04):
I hate to say I said glorified.
Speaker 2 (32:07):
He has the arm talent to be elite, but the
way they run their offense, he is a technically a
game manager.
Speaker 5 (32:13):
I disagree with that.
Speaker 9 (32:14):
I feel like he had some bad offensive coordinator. I
think he was better than that. This is how you
judge a must watch game. You when it's Sunday and
you are either looking at the schedules to see what
games you're gonna follow, looking to see your parlays, what
teams you want to bet on. The teams that you're
looking for, those are your must watch, Like the teams
(32:35):
that you're looking for, who you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 4 (32:37):
All right?
Speaker 5 (32:37):
Who do the Ravens play?
Speaker 4 (32:39):
Like?
Speaker 5 (32:39):
Where are the rams on this list?
Speaker 4 (32:41):
Where?
Speaker 5 (32:41):
If it's the Eagles for you, where are those are
your must watch?
Speaker 9 (32:44):
The teams that you're looking through the schedule, and or
I need to have a touchdown, I need I need
pooking the core to have a touchdown, I need Lamar
Jackson to do his thing, those are yours must.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Watch, So you will play it this way. If you're
watching red zone or you're a red zone watcher.
Speaker 6 (33:01):
Put them and there's another game on that you know
that is strictly that game. You're not watching that game
through the red zone lamp? Which one are you watching?
If I'm watching that other game, that's must watch for me,
right right? And the teams that you mentioned is are
much watch for me. I do like watching the Eagles
(33:21):
because I think they've got a lot of talent. They
may not be utilizing it the right way, but I
do believe they're a team. That is what makes green
Bay must watch.
Speaker 5 (33:32):
That's what I'm trying to I didn't put them in
my muscle watch. I put them in like to watch,
fun to watch, fun to watch, fun to watch.
Speaker 9 (33:40):
Green Bay is a fund to wise, They're not. I
don't have to watch green Bay.
Speaker 7 (33:43):
They fun to watch every other week, and.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
Last time I had to watch two weeks.
Speaker 9 (33:46):
Last time I had to watch green Bay, it was
like Aaron Rodgers and like fourteen, yeah, fifteen, like back then,
like fifteen sixteen, back to nine.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
Yeah, that's when I had to watch green Bay.
Speaker 6 (33:57):
What I liked most is that you actually brought up
the defense, because I can be entertained by a really
good defensive football game. I think so many people just
look at it like, oh, I need the offense, I
need the passing.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
I don't necessarily need that.
Speaker 7 (34:11):
I'd like it a little bit.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
I don't want it to be ten to three.
Speaker 6 (34:15):
Yeah, but if it's low scoring, and a lot of
people think like twenty three, twenty is low scoring. Similar
to what we saw last night, Arizona and Seattle.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Like both those. I was thinking about you guys today
because last night I'm watching that again, I'm like, man,
why am I watching this?
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Right?
Speaker 7 (34:30):
I'm watching it.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
I'm watching it.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
Because it's football.
Speaker 7 (34:32):
Yeah, of course, okay, and if all got you, and
what the hell's.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
Am I gonna watch Division Arrival?
Speaker 6 (34:37):
I mean, I'm not watching another clip of the Office.
So I wanted to watch that, and I was trying
to find a way that it keeps me engaged and
outside of the game of football.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
It was a little bit of a struggle for me.
Speaker 9 (34:51):
It was a struggle game if you just take the
car and this, for example, if you stay on that
side of the ball, like it's just another season. Like
he's just not it. Yeah, he's just not the answer.
When I see him, it's Kyler Murray. Not Marvin Harrison
who found his way to the end. Thank you, congrats
to him.
Speaker 5 (35:05):
It's Kyler Murray. It's just another year. Like, oh my god,
here we go.
Speaker 9 (35:08):
We gassed him up, we said he can get out
of pocket, and he's fast, and people eventually come to
the point where you know, you know what he did.
He didn't make it to two playoffs games. He's not
he's not it. He's not the answer for them. Now
you don't have name.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
Twenty two old time against the NFC West.
Speaker 9 (35:21):
And now you don't have James Conner. See who James
Connor was. It's not just a very serviceable. In fact,
above service were running back. He's the leader. And when
people hear that's like he lost a leader. He can
still be on the sideline. It's a difference when the
guy's in that huddle like when Marvin Harrison. You heard
the commentary, Like when Marvin Harrison in struggle, that's the
guy that can go over the Hey, what's going on?
Speaker 5 (35:39):
Let me get you back in the game.
Speaker 9 (35:40):
Kyler Murray is not built to lead this team as
quarterback and then also do all those things. This is
not him and he showed you that in the playoff
games when he's sitting way at the opposite side of
the bench when all hell's breaking and any once you
point out Jalen Hurts, he said, what about Jalen. Jalen
does that every game? Yeah, fact, that's who Jalen is.
That Kyler did that in that moment because he had
(36:02):
nothing I do.
Speaker 6 (36:03):
Like what Kyler Murray said after the game though, when
he was protecting Marvin Harrison, He's like, hey, listen, guys
are gonna drop balls.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
Okay, I'm not perfect.
Speaker 6 (36:10):
Guys are going to miss as Signmon's guys are going
to miss tackles in so many ways and so many words.
He said that I love his defensive of Marvin Harrison Junior,
so I give him a little bit of credit there.
Somebody in the in the chat, really good one. I
love to watch Green Bay and Chicago lowse that's fun,
which is so true for.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
So many You brought up Sam Darnel.
Speaker 8 (36:30):
I had that one teed up.
Speaker 6 (36:31):
Oh digit, sorry about that. Clearly, No, you talked about
Sam Darnold, and it's a really good story, man. I mean,
he was so bad in the other stops, and then
Minnesota he came back. He was so good. I'm not
saying he's all pro worthy. I'm just saying he had
a really nice comeback. It was a really good story,
and he's been pretty good for Seattle so far. Sometimes
(36:54):
it's just you got to get the right coach and
the right teammates around you, don't you.
Speaker 9 (36:58):
Yeah, it's not where you it's not when you go
a lot of times everybody's you know, the where you
get drafted first, second, third, ten, fifteenth, twenty or thirtieth.
Speaker 5 (37:08):
Tom Brady. Yeah, it's where you go. It's where you go.
Speaker 9 (37:10):
It's where you go to a place that believes in you,
that can put some time in you, that can put
some time around you, that can give you some grace.
And then they also are are competent. Like a lot
of times, these quarterbacks, they get drafted early and they
go to these franchises that aren't competent. They have new
head coaches. The head coaches don't know what to do.
They're fighting for their job from day one. They don't
(37:31):
dial into the wild. I mean the quarterback. Quarterback has
to carry a franchise at twenty. Sam Donald got drafted
at twenty. You're twenty, you're twenty one, you're young, you
don't know much. And they've been bad franchises for a while.
Sam Donald goes to the New York Jets, and I
love my Jets, Jets, but the Jets haven't been anything
since I left, nothing since I left. They drafted a
(37:51):
bunch of quarterbacks since then, and look how it's worked
out for them. So when you look at Sam Donald
in the Monday night game against against the Patriots that year,
and he's somebody I see ghost out there, Well, I
bet he sees, goes because Adam Gaze is his head coach.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
How he got that head job? I do that? I
never know.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
I don't know either, to the game with.
Speaker 9 (38:11):
Coolest and then he goes to Carolina, starts starts off
four and oh, people forget that. And then it falls
apart of Carolina. Then he goes to Minnesota. Minnesota and
Kevin O'Connell, who's a capable head coach, who's a capable
OC who will put him in good spaces. Obviously he's
a ton of talent around him, and you see that,
Oh this looks like USC.
Speaker 5 (38:31):
I see what the Jets saw. He goes to Seattle.
Speaker 9 (38:37):
That's why I say, you see what's around him when
I talking about Jay jeedis Addison Hockinson, Aaron Jones last
year when he was good, and then I draft him
this year in my bad, I'm sorry. But so then
you go to the Seahawks. Seahawks and Mike McDonald, young
head coach. He goes from U of M, has it together,
has an offense, put weapons around him, takes his time
surround him with to running backs K nine, Zach Charberney,
(38:59):
and it looks different. He looks like a quarterback that
can be serviceable to get you to the playoffs, maybe
even win you a playoff game. Meanwhile, look at Carolina,
still a dumpster. Look at the Jets, still a dumpster.
Like still a dumpster. So like, so it's always it's
never not about getting to the right spot. And now quarterback,
excuse me, now, GMS owners are trying to draft quarterbacks
(39:21):
that fit that coach's system. I feel like that's what
some quarterbacks are getting lucky. But it's not about winning,
you go. It's where Sam Donald's like a whole new quarterback.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
Baker Mayfield, he's.
Speaker 9 (39:33):
The next one because guess what Shane Steinken said. One
of the dopest things that I've heard in the last
ten years as it relates to a coach understanding of player,
this is when he had Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts went
from getting drafted second and third round, second round, them
them putting them in there and not necessarily looking like anything.
(39:53):
And then they bring Shane stinking in and then halfway
through the season this one in the beginning, halfway through
the season, they said, let's not talk about what he's not.
He's not this, he's not that he can't do this,
he can't do that. Let's talk about what he can do.
Why did we draft him in the second round? Why
did he get chance to go to Alabama? Why did
then he goes to Oklahoma? Why did he finish third
in the highest running Why did we draft him? So
(40:15):
then they meet him where he's at, they go to
the Super Bowl, And you made a point yesterday he
out played Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl. Shane Stinkin leaves.
But anyway, Shane steink is now with Indianapolis coach. He
knows that offense, he knows what to put around him.
Now you have a good defense, you have a good
offensive line, you got some weapons around you wide receivers,
got one of the best running backs in the NFL,
(40:36):
complete running backs, and now all of a sudden, it
looks like it looks like Marron might have got it
right and the Giants by drafting him. It's where you
go if you can have somebody to wrap their arms
around you like a Ben Johnson, And let's not say
Ben Johnson like a Detroit to Jared Goff. Hey, Jared,
let's bring you in. Let's wrap our arms around you.
Let's work this thing out together, like a Sean McVay
(40:58):
who put a battery pack in Baker Mayfield. No, it's
all good, big fellas. You just go out there and
be Baker. You just go out there and be Baker.
Cleveland didn't let him be Baker. Carolina didn't let him
be Baker. Sean McVay said, you go be Baker found
himself in that game, and now he's finding himself in Tampa.
You just gotta have people that believe in you, and
that's what you see. And Daniel and also a defense
center running back.
Speaker 6 (41:19):
Who's the guy right now you believe could benefit from
that change of scenery.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
Well, let's put it this way. That change of a
coach and.
Speaker 6 (41:30):
Some additional weapons that you see at least has some
potential to be the next in line of Daniel Jones,
who followed Sam Darnold, who followed Baker Mayfield, who followed
Dot Dot Dot.
Speaker 4 (41:43):
Man.
Speaker 9 (41:43):
Tough question, it is because I'm looking I'm like looking
at the slate of quarterbacks right now.
Speaker 5 (41:48):
I don't think it's a justin Field situation. I want
to say justin it happened with Gino Smith.
Speaker 3 (41:53):
Yeah, it did happen with you.
Speaker 5 (41:54):
Pete Carroll because where's where's Gino? Now he's still with
Pete Carroll, so it can happen.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
Three interceptions Week one.
Speaker 5 (42:01):
It was bad.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
You're right, it's bad, right, Look what he did last year.
He had a really good year last year.
Speaker 5 (42:06):
Yeah, I don't. I don't.
Speaker 9 (42:11):
It's a harborm right now because it's a lot of
young quarterbacks, or it's a lot of quarterbacks out of
Russell Wilson that are already determined, or it's a lot
of quarterbacks that are with their guy. So it's hard
to try to figure out who could be next.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
But so so then that comes to mind, maybe the.
Speaker 9 (42:25):
Jaguars tref because he still hasn't figured it out yet,
that's true.
Speaker 5 (42:30):
Like a lot of people don't believe he will.
Speaker 9 (42:32):
But I think he's the last one and I have
some faith right now that can get something figured out.
Speaker 7 (42:36):
He has a skill set that'll work in the NFL.
Speaker 9 (42:39):
Other than that, it's I don't think there's one right
now that you could take from a squad.
Speaker 5 (42:44):
Is it too that you're looking.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
For somebody in the chest? Shout out to Artemis Robbins.
He says Shudor would benefit as far as young players
I don't even.
Speaker 5 (42:57):
Know yet, that's true.
Speaker 9 (42:58):
Yeah, he hasn't even been on the field in terms
of like the regular season, but so we got to
see what that looks like. Chepsmore will talking about guys
that are played, got three fourth seasons.
Speaker 6 (43:06):
Something holding them back. If it's not them all right,
for Tua, it might be just him. Yeah, I'm saying
from Braylan's eyes, what does he see if he sees
the guy who has Bryce Young for example? Okay, yeah,
the one is he a guy who's being held back
because he doesn't have the talent around him and he
doesn't have the proper head coach Shadu or we don't know.
(43:27):
In fact, I talked with somebody from Cleveland this morning.
If Joe Flacco gets benched and they don't think he will, yeah,
Dylan Gabriel is coming in.
Speaker 7 (43:35):
I think that's.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
What we haven't seen.
Speaker 6 (43:38):
Him that's done. That makes us think either one. That's
why I say when it's.
Speaker 3 (43:46):
We haven't seen practice, No, that's fair, that's fair.
Speaker 5 (43:49):
This is what I think. This is what Toua is.
Speaker 9 (43:50):
I don't think he's just getting to a different place.
I think it's it's a problem of compound things. I
think one is the concussions. It's the concussions. And let's
not forget what happened before the concussions. It was the
hip injury. Yeah, hip injury at the ankle, hip injury
at the ankle. Then the concussion started. And they're not
just concussions. They're not just concussions. They're not moments. And
(44:13):
when we hear about it, or we saw one and
it's like three or four, a little small and we
saw it's like four. We saw moments where like it
got to the point where people were chiming in on
social media.
Speaker 5 (44:23):
And usually when people come.
Speaker 9 (44:24):
Out of nowhere and they like the woe was me
fan that really doesn't care, but they just want to
carry in that moment, I might knock it up. I
actually was looking at some of these fans, I say,
you know what, there might be something to it in
terms of him doing this, or him retiring or him
taking space. That happened, but then also was his first quarterback,
excuse me, his first head coach experience.
Speaker 5 (44:43):
Brian Flores didn't want him. Brian Flores never wanted the draft,
and guess what we wanted the draft.
Speaker 9 (44:48):
The guy that we were just talking about Justin Herbert,
but instead they take to it. So he's got that
coach not liking him. Concussions, two major injuries, then a Swiss,
a change over in Mike McDaniel. Mike comes in, he
calls him on the G five. Hey, can't wait to
work with you, So glad to be there now. Mike
mcdoniel is the next crash out. So now your head
coaches at the podium, looking like he's relapsed, and I
(45:10):
said looking Keep in mind, I said, looking looking like
he relapsed, And that's not what you're dealing with. Two
head coaches that you can't tell heads and tails, injuries,
and then it's just it's two.
Speaker 6 (45:23):
I think there's a little bit of a circus too
with Terrek Kill since since he's been there over the wall. Yeah,
I think all those things had.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
I forgot about that, you know, So last question.
Speaker 6 (45:34):
And then we got to go to break and then
we'll get to the game that you know, we want
to see other than Lions and Browns.
Speaker 5 (45:40):
Who's the guy the Dolphins and the Jets?
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Definitely not the Dolphins and Jets. A man, Who's who's
the guy who if he left.
Speaker 6 (45:49):
Their situation with good talent? Around him and a solid
coach would go and be just fine. And I suppose
when I see Joe Burrow, yes, give him a franchise
that cares.
Speaker 9 (46:04):
Give Joe Burrow a franchise that cares. And I guarantee
you you will see what all the hype is about because.
Speaker 6 (46:11):
You've had guys, You've played with, guys you have friends
right now who you thought were going to be outstanding
players in the National Football League but couldn't do it
because something prevented them. Lack of talent with them, poor ownership,
bad decisions, bad coaching, right just never came together.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
There are certain guys you truly believe in with.
Speaker 9 (46:32):
That, yeah, one of them saying, there are a lot
of guys that I played with over time. And I
played with the Brons for four years and you know,
four and a half, and you just see guys, You're like, man,
you got out of here, Man, Like you just got
to the spot where it was running backs, offensive lines,
especially on the defensive side.
Speaker 5 (46:45):
We had a lot of really good defensive players.
Speaker 9 (46:48):
You're like, man, I feel bad for you, Like Joe
Thomas Brayley was one of those guys. Appreciate that I
was so happy when you went to the I was
like escape Alguatiz, I was out through that punch.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
I mean you had Mark Sanchez, but at least you
had a shot.
Speaker 5 (47:06):
But I got a chance to win. But you mentioned
and it was Carson would have been great. Oh yeah, Carson, if.
Speaker 9 (47:13):
He could have got out of Cincinnati. Once again, look
it's Cincinnati, you know right, it's the Brown family. Like
Carson could have got out. I mean he did get out,
and look what happened. Like he was Cardinals and he
was on the way up, I think towards a c
l and ended up finishing retiring with the Raiders.
Speaker 5 (47:28):
Carson Prime. Carson was like he was.
Speaker 9 (47:31):
He was one of the ones where not often does
someone deserve the number one pick, like they just get
picked out of circumstance. Well, I love Alex Smith. He
got picked out of circumstance, Like that's a circumstantial number
one draft pick.
Speaker 5 (47:43):
Carson Palmer was number one quarterback. He was, He was nice.
Speaker 6 (47:48):
You talked with your good friends with Larry Fitzgerald. Larry
Fitzgerald actually he he felt like he played with a
couple of really high level quarterbacks and used to say
to you, look, I mean if you were with somebody
of that ilk, think about how much more your numbers
would be increased.
Speaker 5 (48:06):
He did.
Speaker 9 (48:06):
I used to always run in the Larry at whether
it's the super Bowl, whether it was the events when
we would play them, go out to dinner, and I
was like, man, like, what are you doing in the
off season? To doll In, he said, Man, don't give
me all that. He said, Look, if you had a quarterback,
he said, I've had Kurt Warner. To Carson Palmer, He's
Kurt Warner, Carson Palmer. Kurt Warner won the MVP twice
(48:27):
hit once with the Rams and once with Arizon Super
Bowl and then with the two the most underrated super
Bowl of all time.
Speaker 5 (48:33):
In my opinion, I love that that Super Bowl is great.
Speaker 9 (48:35):
It was especially the last minute of the half man
through the whole second half. But he had, he had
a Heisman Trophy, winning a two time MVP. I don't
get much better than that unless you Jerry Rice.
Speaker 6 (48:49):
Jerry Rice is pretty bad. But I say this all
the time, Jerry Rice made them better. They made him
better too. That's what a good combination is.
Speaker 3 (48:57):
We used to have that debate all the time with
Calvin Johnson.
Speaker 6 (49:00):
I think Calvin Johnson was one of the best wide
receivers the league's ever had. When people say he made
Matthew Stafford, it's bull crap. They both made one another.
He made some unbelievable catches. Stafford made some unbelievable throws.
There's nothing wrong with saying it's a great one to
two combination. It doesn't have to be all one sided,
per se.
Speaker 9 (49:19):
What helps Matthew Stafford in that in that conversation is
the fact that he then out He then went and
created a triple Crown winner in Cooper Cupper and with
the Rams, So it lets you know that no, no, no,
it wasn't just one of the greatest wide receivers of
all the time.
Speaker 5 (49:36):
Nine was like that too.
Speaker 6 (49:37):
Yeah, even in Detroit, That's what I'm saying now, when
Golden Tate was there, He'll he'll tell I mean his
best year was with Matthew staff When Marvin Jones was here,
When Brandon pettigrew okay broke two tight end records in
Detroit with Stafford as the quarterback, and Nate Burlison did
the same thing, had his best year.
Speaker 3 (49:56):
I believe iust Matthew st.
Speaker 9 (49:58):
I was always so envious of Detroit, Like I wanted
to play in Detroit, not only because I was from here,
but because I knew Detroit was gonna throw the ball
all season long. Yeah, like Detroit, Like once Barry left,
they abandoned the running game. He had James Mitchell. I mean,
you had James Stewart for a second, and Kevin.
Speaker 5 (50:16):
Jones and James Stewart.
Speaker 9 (50:18):
He had an then he had a bunch of what
was the running back, Jai Best. You had a bunch
of running backs like Reggie had a good year. He
messed his ankle up, but and then one year though,
So you had a bunch of guys like that that
they knew they weren't going to rely on in the
running game because we're a passing team.
Speaker 5 (50:34):
Kinda had five thousand yards.
Speaker 7 (50:36):
He did, but that's because they was behind in a
lot of games too.
Speaker 5 (50:40):
But that's what I'm saying. That's why I wanted to
be here.
Speaker 6 (50:44):
For the Brown You wanted the Scott Lenehan philosophy, and
Scott Lenaham wanted to throw the football.
Speaker 9 (50:49):
If you're a wide receiver, you're playing a bad team.
The team is always behind. Like Calvin, you can do
the things that you're supposed to do. Like Calvin came
here and did the same stuff he did at Georgia Tech,
I would have came here and that off the same
things at.
Speaker 5 (51:00):
The University of Michigan to I don't care if we
behind is what.
Speaker 7 (51:03):
It is, right, I don't care if I'm double coverage.
Speaker 3 (51:05):
Kenny Kenny Gallady made a lot of money going to
New York.
Speaker 2 (51:07):
That's a fact because we've seen them since.
Speaker 5 (51:16):
They pay that man twenty million dollars.
Speaker 4 (51:18):
Fools.
Speaker 7 (51:19):
We always what.
Speaker 6 (51:21):
It's called irresponsibility. That's what you were talking about before.
Speaker 3 (51:24):
It's not.
Speaker 9 (51:25):
It's the giants though, and we know who I'm saying
in them top ten.
Speaker 6 (51:28):
Yeah he was saying for a fact. Yeah, there, they can't.
They don't know what the hell they're doing. That's the problem.
Speaker 3 (51:35):
Okay, I know Les Stanford knows exactly.
Speaker 5 (51:37):
What Jesus Christ thing. Even though they were.
Speaker 6 (51:41):

Speaker 6 (57:50):
There one football game in the books, Arizona in Seattle.
We all look forward to Lions and Brown's. But what
about the reunion between Micah Parsons and Dallas Michaeh Parsons
in green Bay will be in Dallas this weekend to
(58:11):
play the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (58:13):
It is, and rightfully so the Sunday night game of
the week. Like, yeah, it used to be really big
where it's just a Monday night football game.
Speaker 6 (58:20):
Right now you've got Thursday night, You've got Sunday night.
So green Bay at Dallas. That's one of those. Like
we were talking about must watch teams. May not be
either one of these teams, neither one of these teams
maybe must watch for me, but this game is definitely
must watch for me.
Speaker 9 (58:37):
Did you start off by asking me, is there a
game outside of the Linds that I'd rather watch?
Speaker 5 (58:41):
Or is it just leading into this and talk about
this game?
Speaker 3 (58:43):
No, that's the leader.
Speaker 9 (58:45):
Okay, well perfect, because there is a game that I
actually want to see more than this. Oh wow, there
is a game I want to see more than this,
not talk about after this.
Speaker 7 (58:52):
I'm gonna try and see if I figure it out.
Speaker 5 (58:54):
You will if you take it like a schedule.
Speaker 9 (58:57):
But in terms of the energy surrounding this game, in
terms of the storyline in this game, there's there hasn't
been a game like this that I want to watch,
probably since Dion left the forty nine Ers and went
to the Cowboys because then they played the forty nine
ers and the forty.
Speaker 5 (59:10):
Nine ers ran rough shot at Dallas Stadium if you remember,
but I just remember want to watch that game.
Speaker 9 (59:14):
It was like, oh, man, like Dion left Jerry now
Jerry's man because Jerry Sanders, I mean, Jerry Rice was
actually saying some comments in the media that week, and
I'm like.
Speaker 5 (59:25):
This isn't Jerry, this isn't what Jerry Rice does.
Speaker 9 (59:27):
And then Dion hass for comments and then he went
back out there and then my guy, which is why
we're eighty BEFORELD War.
Speaker 5 (59:33):
One, he went out there and backed it up.
Speaker 9 (59:34):
But no, you want to see this match because one,
you know, the bad bloove between Micah and Dak Prescott.
Speaker 5 (59:39):
I don't think anyone.
Speaker 9 (59:41):
I don't think anyone dislikes that as much as Michaeh
Parsons and I know a lot of people on that
team still don't like that, none of them more.
Speaker 7 (59:50):
Why is that?
Speaker 5 (59:54):
How do I put this right?
Speaker 7 (59:55):
Because they played two different size of the ball.
Speaker 9 (59:57):
Yeah, but company guys the media because he's Jerry Jones,
boy Ah, like he's Jerry Jo's Jerry Jones boy in
the sense of like he's always Jerry.
Speaker 5 (01:00:09):
He's a comedy man.
Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
Why isn't Ceedee Lambs Jerry Jones boy.
Speaker 9 (01:00:13):
Jed No, no, no, Jerry paid him. Like Cede Lamb's not
going to Jerry's house. He's not going vacation with Jerry.
He's not hanging out with Jerry. He's not not hanging
with the team and being with Jerry Jones. That's what
dak Presscott does, and that's where a lot of people
in the organization player wise don't like.
Speaker 3 (01:00:29):
That special treatment.
Speaker 5 (01:00:30):
Almost I've never seen the situation.
Speaker 9 (01:00:33):
I'm lying, it's been a long time since I've seen
the situation where a guy that's a defensive end doesn't
like the quarterback that he formerly played with, and now
he gets an opportunity in less than less than two
months to go out there.
Speaker 5 (01:00:45):
Man, this is gonna be get your popcorn. I can't
wait to.
Speaker 9 (01:00:48):
See the conversations after the game either, because it's gonna
be fireworks.
Speaker 6 (01:00:52):
Here's what Jerry Jones had to say one O five
point three the Fan earlier this week about rekindling the
relationship with Michael Parsons. Of course, I've said this time
and time again, I think the world of Mica as
an individual, and of course, knowing well, I might say
wishing well, accept its obvious. I don't this weekend in
terms of the Green Bay winning the game, and so
it makes for an exciting time.
Speaker 9 (01:01:13):
So I mean, at the end of the day, it's
not hard feelings like he got him out there and
he sent them to a place where he got way
more money than he would have got in Dallas. In
the whole nine yards, So Michael, I think it's just business.
Like I think on Michael Parsons, he wants he just
wants to prove something. He wants to go out there
and have an amazing game.
Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
But he's just gonna go play ball.
Speaker 9 (01:01:29):
I think on the opposite side, Dak Jerry, the whole
nine yards, I think this is a bigger game for
them in the sense of how they got it, little
angst and the things that they're gonna say or do,
or how they're filling in the moment about the game.
Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
How will he be received by the Dallas audience.
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
He won't get booed mercilessly. I know that he might
get boobed, not mercilessly.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
I don't even think he'll get booed.
Speaker 9 (01:01:52):
I don't think Michauld get booed because it's it's so
much frustration with the front office. It's so much frustration
with the Dallas team. They're gonna be happy to say him.
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:02:01):
People take what people take sides all the time. Yeah, okay,
And we've experienced it in this town in Dallas because
Jerry Jones is so front and center, and because he
makes things so public and about him so frequently. The
person to hate, you have the person to hate, and
you have the person to support. So whether or not
(01:02:21):
you like Michael Parisons, whether or not you think it
was right or wrong on how he went or how
he handled his situation, you can't side with.
Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
The other guy. Yeah, that's what's we're experiencing that in
Detroit right now with Chris Illic.
Speaker 6 (01:02:35):
Trying to take his side is nearly impossible. I mean,
Bray and I just yesterday had KG. You weren't here,
but all we said was, look, he has spent money.
He doesn't spent it wisely, right. We don't think that
he has stood in the way of Scott Harris from
acquiring somebody at the trade deadline. What we would have
(01:02:56):
liked to have seen just like every other Tigers fan.
Is him going to Scott Harris and saying, by the way,
go for it, right, all right, and this is not
a Channel four segment, go for it. Bring me And
as Bray said, I want the Rocky scene where Talia
Shire is in the hospital bed, looks at Rocky wakes
(01:03:17):
up from a coma and says win, and he goes,
Holy Kyle, start playing survivor.
Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
Let's go here, we go right.
Speaker 6 (01:03:25):
That's what I think, That's what Tiger's fans wanted more
than anything else. We don't know that it didn't happen,
but it sure doesn't feel like it did with Dallas.
Speaker 5 (01:03:32):
You ever notice how she's never had to fight.
Speaker 7 (01:03:35):
She ain't.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
She was at the she was at the very first fight.
Speaker 9 (01:03:38):
No no, no, no, no, I'm talking about that one when
she wakes up in hospital.
Speaker 5 (01:03:41):
She didn't go to fight.
Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
Now.
Speaker 5 (01:03:42):
Oh she didn't know why because.
Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
She was because she said, I'm tired of this series.
It's way too long.
Speaker 5 (01:03:49):
Because she was filming. Uh, she was filming Godfather too,
so she wasn't there.
Speaker 9 (01:03:54):
That's why they did the hotel scene when she's watching
the hotel.
Speaker 5 (01:03:56):
She couldn't be there.
Speaker 9 (01:03:57):
Yeah, so they had that she was in the whole
tell where she was filming Godfather too inteln. So that's
why what about that, I'm a Rocky gay.
Speaker 6 (01:04:12):
Edward breaking down football games and he's breaking down movie
and whether or not actresses are in the right place
if you don't.
Speaker 7 (01:04:20):
Know, And he was the Rocky reference.
Speaker 5 (01:04:24):
But I bought that. But I bought that fact. To
about that fact, that's business.
Speaker 6 (01:04:31):
You said, there's another game you want to take a
guess it was one. I think it's Baltimore. I think
it's Baltimore taking on Kansas City.
Speaker 7 (01:04:39):
That's the easy money.
Speaker 5 (01:04:41):
I know what it is.
Speaker 7 (01:04:41):
I got you Eagles, but.
Speaker 9 (01:04:44):
There it is because I want to prove that the
Eagles aren't that good, and I think this is the
game because look, no Mike Evans, no Caliza Cans.
Speaker 5 (01:04:53):
I still think Bucks win this game.
Speaker 9 (01:04:55):
And when they win this game, it's going to show
you how good the Bucks are and also going to
show you that the Eagles they're just an okay team
right now that could get better, but they haven't figured
it out right now. And I'm not saying that they're
not going to get back into the super Bowl. For him,
it's early in the season, so they still are the
Super Bowl champion right now. They're not informed and I
think they're vulnerable. I think Tampa ran away. They beat them.
Speaker 5 (01:05:16):
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
Speaker 6 (01:05:17):
Remember I said Tampa. I said Tampa's the sneaky NFC team.
I think they can challenge for the NFC championship. I
said Detroit, Philadelphia, Tampa's the team you gotta look out for.
Speaker 9 (01:05:27):
I've picked Tampa in the NFC South the last three years.
Speaker 6 (01:05:30):
Like yeah, and that that does make sense. That that
division is horrible, man, absolutely horrible, and it might be
worse this year.
Speaker 9 (01:05:38):
But that's the game I think because I think the
defenses they match it well. It's can be a physical
game and I want to see also Twon just like
Elijah Cantsi's not out Lane Johnson. Yeah, Lane Johnson's out
for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
So love this.
Speaker 9 (01:05:53):
That's the game that I'm most paying attention to. The
chief center Ravens. That'd be what it is.
Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
I think one in three Bowl I think that I
think the Chiefs win that game. By the way, really think.
Speaker 3 (01:06:03):
They're going in a bad way right now.
Speaker 6 (01:06:05):
They can I think if all of those two teams
Baltimore can afford the loss more.
Speaker 5 (01:06:09):
Than the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (01:06:10):
That's just because of the division, that's true.
Speaker 6 (01:06:11):
But the reason I said Baltimore can's city is just
because anytime Lamar Jackson's playing, I know you're in front
of the television set with everybody out of the room
and closing everything.
Speaker 5 (01:06:19):
This is true.
Speaker 9 (01:06:20):
But you know what I'm I'm I'm just I don't
like watching right now. I'm pissed, Like I'm pissing the team.
I'm pissing what it doing. I'm pissing Baltimore.
Speaker 7 (01:06:26):
Yeah, because they want to should be better than what
they are.
Speaker 9 (01:06:30):
No, I'm not mad that they lost the Lions. I'm
mad how it looked against the Lions. I'm mad how
it looked offensively in terms of trying to rush the
ball against the Cleveland Miles. I'm mad how it looked
in the last six minutes of the game against the
Buffalo Bills. Things like that pissed me off. Like whether
it's Lamar or not, it's the full team that I
support as bs, So I'm not trying to watch the
Chiefs who are hanging on by a thread throwing the
ball at Jujusmith Shuster Marqu's Brown and I'm not watching
(01:06:52):
Lamar Jackson right now, who just can't seem to find
it with his team.
Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
I'm gonna be watching the Bucks.
Speaker 10 (01:06:56):
Needs, Okay, I gotta jump in. I will be looking
for more Derek Henry crashed outs on the sideline.
Speaker 7 (01:07:02):
But I need to go off the Ravens for that.
Embarrassed the Chiefs. It's going to be they pissed off
after a game like that.
Speaker 3 (01:07:09):
Well you don't think Kansas pissed off.
Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
No, they are, but they just don't have enough pieces
to facilitate that being pissed off.
Speaker 5 (01:07:15):
Problem is, problem is.
Speaker 6 (01:07:17):
You better be here Monday when he when Kansas City
wins stick around.
Speaker 9 (01:07:22):
The problem with Baltimore Ravens is lacking is the offensive
line and that defense that's where the Chiefs are struggling
is an offense. So you're playing the defense is struggling
and your offense is struggling. That helps the Chiefs because
that offensive line from the Ravens they can get bum
rushed by the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
D Lin, what about the Chiefs offense like thinks they
can win this game?
Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
They have not shown It's that's a good point.
Speaker 9 (01:07:44):
I mean, they tell you I think the Chiefs win
this game, just in the sense of this was once
again one of those moments that this is one of
those games for Lamar and the Baltimore Ravens. This is
not a must win, but this is a must win.
It's a press situation and it's him.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
I think it's the beauty of football and really, quite honest,
the beauty of sports.
Speaker 6 (01:08:00):
We don't know, like what has given I would agree
with you, what's given us any inkling the Kansas City
is going to do that? Did Carolina give you an
inkling that they could score thirty on Atlanta's.
Speaker 4 (01:08:10):
Not at all? Okay?
Speaker 3 (01:08:11):
Did Cleveland give you an inkling that they could beat
Green Bay? They did not?
Speaker 5 (01:08:14):
What gave Meland?
Speaker 6 (01:08:15):
I don't.
Speaker 8 (01:08:16):
I don't Sometimes I.
Speaker 6 (01:08:16):
Don't believe my eyes. With the NFL, that's the beauty
of what the league is built.
Speaker 9 (01:08:20):
Well believe the track, because the track Wreker is l
Mark can't beat Patrick Mahomes. Lamar can't be any any SAI.
Speaker 7 (01:08:26):
What in the postseason? Not the regular season?
Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:08:29):
True, but big games, I'm telling you, like this is
a big game.
Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (01:08:32):
I just I just feel as though they have their number.
I think Patrick Mahomes. He's been quiet, rightfully, so you
got you got to crash out because you got Travis
Kelsey crashed out on the side of the Battle of
the Crash.
Speaker 7 (01:08:44):
I'm looking forward that.
Speaker 6 (01:08:45):
That's why I want to watch watch experienced player. I
want mister Swift to crash out again on the side of.
Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
The Ravens and the Cheese. I want to see anybody.
Speaker 9 (01:09:00):
I guarantee you if Lamar crash out, then you'll believe
that they're in trouble.
Speaker 6 (01:09:05):
That's not but yeah, but I love fairness to Lamorrow
and you love him more than anybody in this room.
Once he crashed out, I'm talking about this year.
Speaker 9 (01:09:14):
No, he hasn't, but I'm saying if he crashes out,
then you will believe that the Ravers are in more trouble.
Like everybody else right now, it's because of how good
Lamar is, and then it's because.
Speaker 5 (01:09:23):
Of what I said, the last thirteen years of Baltimore.
Speaker 9 (01:09:26):
We just always believe that John Harbaugh and Lamar will
be okay. It'll be alright.
Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
Matta Beekway is out for the season. Van Noy is
not coming back.
Speaker 9 (01:09:36):
Like these are major injuries, major injuries for them in
the offensive line is trash. And I don't say that
because the Lions did what they did. Know they did
it because they deserve to. They had a plan and
execute it. But they're trash.
Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
Real.
Speaker 6 (01:09:50):
Somebody sets us in the chat. I'm in Tampa and
I still can't root for Baker.
Speaker 7 (01:09:56):
Okay, that's a personal bias, let's seems.
Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
Yeah, but we all do that, I think in sports. Yeah,
we all have certain guys that we don't like and
no matter what it's gonna they can't win. I would
it's in Tampa.
Speaker 5 (01:10:10):
I would ask him, who do you cheer for in college?
He's in Florida. Who do you cheer for in college?
Maybe that's it?
Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
Back to Oklahoma.
Speaker 5 (01:10:17):
Maybe I don't know.
Speaker 8 (01:10:18):
Yeah, I tell you what a lot of people are
cheering about.
Speaker 4 (01:10:21):
I do.
Speaker 8 (01:10:21):
Gotta cut in here and call this out.
Speaker 10 (01:10:23):
Someone just jumped to number one top fan with the
Crown Detroit Boy Richardson. He says, new segment idea Braylan's blueprints.
I noticed your predictions for the Ravens game. We're dead
on as regards to how they can win.
Speaker 3 (01:10:36):
Keep it up.
Speaker 10 (01:10:36):
I love the knowledge from Detroit. In Nashville. Now, he said,
there's a huge fan base here, So shout out to
Detroit boy Richardson, thank you for the support. I had
to appreciate Itville.
Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
Man, Hey, real quick, I wanted to ask all this
because I asked this on the earlier shows.
Speaker 7 (01:10:55):
Won in three Bow.
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
If one of those teams loses, already done.
Speaker 6 (01:11:01):
You're talking about Kansas City Baltimore. Yeah, which I just
I just said. I don't think Baltimore is done. I
think they're gonna win.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
So if kansasas City loses, they're done. Like in terms
of Super Bowl, they're.
Speaker 6 (01:11:09):
Done only because I think the Chargers and Broncos are
much more formidable threats in their division than and I
picked the Chargers of the year. Then Baltimore gets from Pittsburgh.
Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
Fair give me.
Speaker 9 (01:11:23):
I think the Ravens have done if they lose, Oh wow,
I think the Ravens have done. The Chiefs they still
got people coming back this year. True, they still got
the best wide receiver coming back this year. That's gonna
look a lot different. And also I stand by this.
We saw the Chiefs look like this three years ago
and it was like, oh it's over. Oh wow, the dynasty,
Oh wow, the Tom Brady compares. Oh Wow, it's over.
Speaker 5 (01:11:44):
It's over. Super Bowl Champs.
Speaker 3 (01:11:46):
Yeah, it was three years ago and.
Speaker 5 (01:11:47):
I can't even tell you who the wide receivers were.
Speaker 6 (01:11:49):
But mister Swift wasn't who he is now. So that's
I think that's a little different. With Kansas City. I
don't I don't like counting out a guy like Lamar Jackson.
I just think they're going to figure it out. And
I wouldn't fund out a guy like Derrick Henry. I
think he'll figure it out. I think John Harball will
figure it out. Not that Andy Reid wouldn't. I just
think I think Baltimore has more talent than Kansas City
(01:12:11):
does to get back into their race, than the chart
than the Chiefs do.
Speaker 9 (01:12:15):
I believe in Andy Reid more than I'm believing John Harbor,
and I believe in Patrick Mahons more than I'm believing
Lamar Jackson Lamar Jackson more.
Speaker 4 (01:12:21):
That's fair.
Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
Yeah, that's good.
Speaker 4 (01:12:23):
I really like that.
Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
I really like it. Anything else, School aid you want
to get to.
Speaker 8 (01:12:27):
You know what?
Speaker 10 (01:12:28):
The chat has been really really active about some of
the picks that are going on for this weekend. So definitely,
in addition to what we do, Lions Browns continue to
give you NFL takes.
Speaker 4 (01:12:37):
Yeah, we'll do that.
Speaker 6 (01:12:39):
Yeah, we'll do that, probably at the bottom of the
hour when we come back. Though, I do want to
talk a little bit about John Morton's comments about his
running games, Jim Schwartz's comments about how his team can
stop John Morton and the Lions.
Speaker 7 (01:12:55):
When is he ever?
Speaker 9 (01:12:57):
We will do that after I was in that as
a player, the infamous Oh yeah, you was hardball Schwartz.
Speaker 5 (01:13:04):
I was playing for the forty.
Speaker 4 (01:13:05):
At that game.
Speaker 6 (01:13:06):
Yeah, man, that was that was something else that was
a little over the top.
Speaker 5 (01:13:10):
Either way.
Speaker 3 (01:13:11):
Nothing's over the top. And you go to black Rock,
it's such good food.
Speaker 9 (01:13:15):
The only thing over the top at Black Rock is
how good the food is and how good the service is.
Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
Man, you should go.
Speaker 9 (01:13:19):
Ahead, go down and you check out the steak and
lobster for just nineteen ninety nine. But it's only for
a limited times. So if you want to get that
steak and lobster, you come on down. Nineteen ninety nine

gotta go.
Speaker 9 (01:13:43):
And also remember you get twenty percent off that football

Speaker 5 (01:13:47):

Speaker 9 (01:13:49):

Speaker 5 (01:13:54):

Speaker 9 (01:13:55):
But now, once again I told you about our brands
and who we partner route and why because I was
trying to give the fans something back to and don't
forget Lions.
Speaker 5 (01:14:04):

Speaker 9 (01:14:05):

Speaker 6 (01:14:29):

Now you're really gonna make me hungry.
Speaker 5 (01:14:33):
Unless you reverse the process eat the dessert.
Speaker 6 (01:14:36):

Oh we are We all watch a lot of sports here, Okay,
it's the best reality television.
Speaker 5 (01:19:54):
That there is.
Speaker 3 (01:19:56):
You're watching football Arizona.
Speaker 6 (01:19:58):
They CAUs come back and then Seattle one in on
the last second fifty two yard field goal. Marvin Harrison
Junior has gone through a lot, Okay, in a couple
of years, he had ten targets. Last night he had
six rocks sixty six yards in a touchdown. We could
bring up some of the negatives. What appeared to be
a give up on one pass, what appeared to be
(01:20:20):
another drop. What's your judgment on a guy like that
who many people thought was going to be not just
the best receiver in the draft, of perhaps the best
player in that draft.
Speaker 5 (01:20:31):
I'll start here.
Speaker 9 (01:20:33):
There's no excuse for not finishing your round and let
it lead to an interception, because that's exactly what happened
on two of the plays. He then drops the play,
drops a pass, and that leads to an interception. So
you can't do that as a wide receiver. Those plays
are on you. You didn't finish to play for whatever you thought.
Maybe you thought the ball shouldn't have been thrown. Maybe
you thought you were gonna get blown up.
Speaker 5 (01:20:51):
Ie.
Speaker 9 (01:20:51):
You gotta make the breakup. You gotta make the stop
with that. Man said like, it's frustration. It's frustration. You
draft the guy. I think he went fourth overall. You
draft them fourth over last season. This is a guy
that you saw Thehiose State. This is a guy whose
father is in the Hall of Fame. You know what
they talked about. This guy's gonna help change your franchise.
But what's his offensive system? What's his quarterback? Because we
(01:21:12):
sit up here, didn't you just talk about Kyler Murray Ill.
Didn't you just say the same thing, that's his quarterback.
That's his reality, and now you don't have an offensive system.
They've been struggling since last year. It's looked like watching
paint drys look chaotic. This is what he's been born into.
It didn't look like that Ohio State for him. So
now you've got a quarterback that you're trying to figure out.
Offensive coordinator is trying to figure it out, and it's
(01:21:33):
looking bad.
Speaker 5 (01:21:34):
Now your man guy, James Conner, he's gone.
Speaker 9 (01:21:36):
He's off of the season, he's no longer on the sideline.
It's just frustrations. I've been in these meet rooms where
you got these offensive coordinators that don't know what the
hell they're doing, and you legitimately know going into the
week like this is bad. It's a bad game plan.
Like I know what it's gonna look like. We play
against Seattle. Seayall's defense is real. They got a good
defensive coordinator.
Speaker 5 (01:21:54):
Oh, here we go again.
Speaker 9 (01:21:55):
So you go into the game frustrated, and it leads
to players like this. It leads to bring like this
because you start to tune out the week in practice
because you don't like the game, the play calling, you
don't like what the system looks like.
Speaker 5 (01:22:07):
You're not watching film.
Speaker 9 (01:22:08):
You're pissed off, and then you get in the game
and you have ms like they all go hand to hand.
And that's why I started with you still have to
do your job. You still have to and case in
Poyne you talk about Calvin Johnson. Calvin was one of
those cheats, drafted second. Overall, A lot was on him.
He played on some bad teams. He had a lot
of bad stuff said. It was a lot of times
where he could have tuned out, but he didn't. He
(01:22:29):
stayed the course, he stayed working, he stayed hungry, and
he figured it out along the way.
Speaker 5 (01:22:34):
That's what Marvin's gonna have to do because it's bad
right now.
Speaker 9 (01:22:36):
And this has been This has been the Cardinals. They're
typically the bid Wells who owned the Cardinals. They typically
aren't bad franchise for the most part. This is what
they do. So he's just got to tap into that
professional space. But the thing for him, who is your
pops call your dad on the phone, or your dad
has to call you. He has to out a lot
(01:22:57):
of guys getting white.
Speaker 3 (01:22:58):
I mean, he might be doing that.
Speaker 9 (01:22:59):
I well, I'm just saying like, yeah, this is but yeah,
this is a diagnosis over eighteen months.
Speaker 6 (01:23:05):
Yeah, And just so people are clear, it sounds like
you're making excuses. There's a different between there's a difference
between excuses and explanations.
Speaker 3 (01:23:12):
This is all part of it.
Speaker 6 (01:23:13):
Yeah, I went, Look, I don't like the bid walls either,
but when they made the when they made the super Bowl,
that's when I lost it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:20):
That's that's when I lost it. And I'm like, how.
Speaker 6 (01:23:22):
In the hell do those owners that team make the
super Bowl and my team? Now, that's that's when I really.
Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Got upset, really got upset.
Speaker 5 (01:23:31):
All right, Cleveland they beat that year in Green Bay?
Speaker 7 (01:23:34):
What's that to get to the Super Bow?
Speaker 5 (01:23:36):
Could it beat the get to the super Bowl?
Speaker 3 (01:23:38):
Green Bay Bay?
Speaker 4 (01:23:39):
Right?
Speaker 3 (01:23:42):
The the the Cleveland Browns, I would say, pulled an.
Speaker 6 (01:23:46):
Upset last weekend, all right by beating by beating the
Packers all right, thirteen to ten. They were down ten
to nothing, scored all thirteen points in the last three
minutes and thirty eight seconds. I believe now they're trying
to do it again. You and I talked yesterday about
how real this challenge is for the Lions. Their defense
is really good. John Morton said this earlier this week.
(01:24:08):
He said, the Browns haven't seen a run game like ours,
yet we stick with it. He's right about that. Yeah, okay,
because they do stick with it. They don't give up
on it unless you are trailing, if you're playing from behind,
and that's what happened with them.
Speaker 3 (01:24:24):
In green Bay.
Speaker 6 (01:24:25):
They were trailing, they had to make up some ground,
so on, so forth. I don't think Cleveland has the
offense to run away from Detroit unless the Lions help.
Speaker 3 (01:24:34):
Them with some gifts.
Speaker 6 (01:24:36):
Okay, but Jim Schwartz then turned around and said this
Lions haven't seen a defense like ours. We've got that
sound from Jim Schwartz, let's hear it. And then brail
little comment about this little bulletin board.
Speaker 5 (01:24:50):
Mamial, if you will, Yeah, back and forth, man fired
up a little bit.
Speaker 19 (01:24:55):
I mean, we face some good running offenses. I mean
Green Bay was running the ball really well.
Speaker 7 (01:25:00):
It was Baltimore.
Speaker 4 (01:25:01):
Cincinnati is more of a passing offense.
Speaker 19 (01:25:04):
So you know, it's one of the major things we
have to do is stop the run.
Speaker 4 (01:25:10):
Two different running backs.
Speaker 19 (01:25:12):
You got to protect your edges, you got to defend
all fifty three to third, particularly with Gibbs. And then
there's a lot of passes that are just extension in
the run game, a lot of screen game, a lot
of quicks. Even the check downs are sort of an
extension of the run games. So our ability to play
run defense, our ability to tackle in the open field.
Speaker 4 (01:25:33):
You know, that's a.
Speaker 7 (01:25:33):
Major part of this this game plan going forward.
Speaker 3 (01:25:38):
An under underrated part of football.
Speaker 5 (01:25:40):
I mean in the back and forth.
Speaker 3 (01:25:41):
Well, no, no, I think the Browns ability to tackle.
They're good tacklers.
Speaker 9 (01:25:45):
Yeah, okay, that's in the lines where last year, in
a year prior to that, He's right, this defense is
really good.
Speaker 5 (01:25:53):
They do some things well.
Speaker 9 (01:25:54):
They harold Derrick Henry, who coming into a game had
one hundred and seventy eight the game before that against
the Buffalo Bills. I disagree about Josh Jacobs rang the
ball well. I think he ran the ball decent on
us at the end a couple like a runner too.
That kind of changed the trajectory of his stats. He
didn't run the ball well on the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 5 (01:26:09):
So it's.
Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
You don't think that's misleading because the Packers defensively kind
of dismantled us that that first week.
Speaker 9 (01:26:20):
Well, yeah, but they couldn't run the ball. Like when
they ran the ball that literally was like the last
six minutes of the game when they're icing.
Speaker 6 (01:26:25):
It, I think they only had like two hundred and
sixty yards of total. Yeah, yeah, there's nothing special there.
We the Lions just weren't who they usually are.
Speaker 10 (01:26:33):
Yeah, and I see my Cower just sent in this
five dollars super chatty shout out thank you for the
super chat as well. He says he believes the Browns
exposed the Packers for what they really are, but he
believes that the Lions will sow the league again.
Speaker 9 (01:26:45):
That we're him the thing and he bought it up
and he talked about, you know, more focused on Gibbs.
That might be a mistake, but it's the Lions have
success in the run game because they have the dynamic
duo in the backfield. Is because they have two different
style runners. It has and the thing about it is
both runners can do both things or all things. Jamiir
Gibbs can do to a certain extent what Dave Montgomery
(01:27:07):
do and vice versa.
Speaker 5 (01:27:08):
Obviously, Jamie doesn't run as.
Speaker 9 (01:27:09):
Hard as Dave Montgomery and Dave Montgomery is not as
fast and just get out the backfield terms of catching
the ball, but they have similar packages, so you don't
know where they're going to go. I think their defense
is really good up front, and we'll we'll see. But
when Johnny Morton says we stick with it, it means
they're going to stay the course. You know, they because
they know that you can't score points, so they know
it's not going to be attract meet. They are going
(01:27:31):
to keep running the ball and keep doing things, keep
creating some opportunities until they break you, until they crack.
Speaker 5 (01:27:37):
Because all it takes is one play. Somebody, you have it.
Go ahead.
Speaker 6 (01:27:40):
Sorry, somebody in the chat said this, They said the
Browns haven't seen an offensive line like the Lions.
Speaker 9 (01:27:47):
I would be I would be be careful. I would
be careful with that comment because.
Speaker 7 (01:27:53):
They've had a good two weeks because they got to
keep it going.
Speaker 9 (01:27:55):
Yeah, I want to say because Baltimore Ravens defensive line
was not at full strength. And I'm not making I'm
not taking anything away from the performance. They were not
a full speak because the two guys that weren't there
were all pro. Yeah, and then when they played against
the Bears, that Bears defensive line missed some guys as well.
Speaker 5 (01:28:09):
Really good job.
Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
This Green Bays offensive line gave Jordan Love all kinds
of time.
Speaker 5 (01:28:14):
He won Detroit.
Speaker 9 (01:28:15):
So this defensive line is that you're talking, You're seeing
numbers that haven't seen before. This is one of those
ones where you're like, this could be special if it
keeps going.
Speaker 5 (01:28:23):
Yeah, looking at it that.
Speaker 6 (01:28:24):
The only thing I would add to that is that
it's not just the offensive line. And I understand why
that's the obvious answer here, but when Detroit when they
go twelve personnel, when they when they have two tight
ends in there, those are good blocking tight ends. And
the other thing is that what's impressed us, I say
us is collectively is that Detroit does such a good
(01:28:47):
job of blocking with their backs, their running backs. And
you showed it on a Braylyn's breakdown last week. You
showed Jamir Gibbs how he squares his body and how
he was blocking one of the Chicago as defenders coming
in on a blitz. It was a beautiful breakdown and
it's something that I know they take a lot of
pride in. So I think that might make a little
(01:29:08):
bit more of a difference for the Lions. In addition
to what somebody said.
Speaker 9 (01:29:11):
In the true I think it's the physicality like the
Cleveland Browns. This is what could have been said by
Johnny Moore Cleveland Browns. Yes, they've been done an amazing job.
The defensive line of defensives are really good. They fill
all teams under well. Decession of the Ravens in the
fourth quarter, But they haven't seen the team as physical
because say what you want to about the Baltimore Ravens,
what we thought about them and what they were in
(01:29:33):
the past, they are not now. They're not as physical
as the Detroit Lions, and we saw that on full display.
You look at their game. The Browns, uh, the Packers.
That offense is not as physical as the Detroit Lions
offense is gonna be. Everybody in every level for the
Lions is a blocker and wants to smoke, wants to contact.
So I think when you see they'll wear the Browns down.
The Browns to start off good Browns made. The Browns
(01:29:54):
may even they may even force the Lions to a
three and out, Like don't panic that brown defensive line
is that real. Miles Garrett the most impactful player in
the NFL. Like Mason Graham's damn good too. And then
the secondary secondary has been real good for them as well.
Speaker 5 (01:30:11):
They're a really good defense.
Speaker 9 (01:30:13):
But the problem is, can you be that defense for
the whole first quarter, the whole second quarter, the whole
third quarter, to the whole fourth quarter and every time
that the Lions get the ball, and eventually they're gonna.
Speaker 6 (01:30:21):
Crack and do it in quick turnarounds, right because we
think collectively again that the Lions are gonna stop the Browns.
Speaker 3 (01:30:28):
They're gonna have three and outs.
Speaker 6 (01:30:31):
So that defense, as good as it is, it's gonna
go right back out there on that Ford Field turf
because the Lions defense is gonna make sure Joe Flacko
and company don't have elongated drives. What Detroit did against
Baltimore was perfect. Cleveland is probably thinking the same thing.
How do we keep that incredibly gifted offense off the field.
(01:30:51):
We do it by possessing the ball. Cleveland doesn't have
that capability in my mind, Yeah, and you.
Speaker 2 (01:30:55):
Gotta run the football to do that. You think Quinn,
Shawn Jupkins or Jerome Ford is beating this Lions.
Speaker 6 (01:31:00):
I don't think so. Yeah, Yeah, keep There's a lot
of things that have surprised me so far this year.
Speaker 9 (01:31:04):
Keep an eye on in Joku as well as Cedric Tillman,
because that'd be where they'll try to win. For Joe Flacco,
Joe Flacco is not new He's not He's not new
to this. He understands matchups, he understands what they don't
have and where it's gonna come from. Look for Cedric Tillman,
who will be matched up against you guessed it, Terry Arnold.
And then look for David and Joku, who will be
in the middle of the field. He's had some success
in games like this. Outside of that, I don't know
(01:31:26):
where they're gonna be the offphense from and Joe.
Speaker 6 (01:31:28):
It'll be interesting to see how much tearing on on
the place because A Meek Robertson's gonna get more time
this year.
Speaker 3 (01:31:32):
This this week. We've we heard that he got more
time last week.
Speaker 5 (01:31:36):
So look for the second dB and Cedric Tillman.
Speaker 6 (01:31:39):
Okay, if I gave you, if I gave you twenty
four points right now, would you take it?
Speaker 5 (01:31:48):
Yeah, yeah, it won't take it won't take more than that.
Speaker 3 (01:31:51):
Yeah, Okay, it's gonna take seventeen.
Speaker 9 (01:31:54):
Yeah, I'd say eighteen eighteen because in some bizarre world,
I can see Joe Flacco finding seventeen points. I'm not
saying it's going to happen, but I'm saying I could
see it. In a bizarro world, Eighteen will be the numbers.
So you give me twenty four.
Speaker 6 (01:32:08):
Well, the reason I say that is because it is
a defense. I mean, they get after the quarterback. They
get eleven sacks. That's third most I believe in the NFL.
They have been very good against the run. Who's first
in sacks?
Speaker 5 (01:32:21):
Yeah, I know Trey.
Speaker 3 (01:32:22):
Hendricks Hendrickson was leading for a while.
Speaker 7 (01:32:25):
Some of the I think defenses.
Speaker 6 (01:32:28):
Lions have eleven and two weeks, Yeah, the Browns have
is ranked third overall in sacks.
Speaker 3 (01:32:35):
I'll have to look that. It might be the Chargers,
it might be the LA Chargers.
Speaker 6 (01:32:40):
We'll have to look at that. We are going to
make our picks, and we'll do that when we come back.
All right, there's a lot of people in the chat
ready for those picks. Somebody wrote this, Let's say, KMG,
King Browns can't score, so we can run all day.
We don't need to score as many points to win
as twenty or maybe even seventeen to get it done right.
(01:33:00):
But it doesn't take much for a defense. For that
defense is getting after Jared Goff and it's proven that
it can, and it's stopping you run early. Here sometimes
when it forces you into a passing situation and they're
putting their ears back and you're playing nickel, there are
opportunities for interceptions, there are opportunities for turnover.
Speaker 9 (01:33:17):
Here's how you knowify a good defense. One you gotta
score early. They got to go up on this team.
Now that's not rocket science. It's not something I know
because I'm a player. You guys know it as well,
But that's what it is. They gotta score fast. You
put ten up, you know, you put ten up two first,
the first two possessions, and now the Browns have to
and then you come back.
Speaker 5 (01:33:33):
Here's a seven. You force the Browns who can't score
to pass the whole game.
Speaker 9 (01:33:37):
And a lot of three and outs, a lot of turnovers,
a lot of interceptions, a lot of bad field positions
for the Cleveland Browns. You got to take their ability
to play the good defense out of the equation. If
you keep them on the hills on offense to where
now they're chasing the Lions. It's too many teams in
the league that can chase the Lions offensively, so that
will help them out tremendously, get out early.
Speaker 6 (01:33:59):
The good news is that is that Cleveland doesn't force
a lot of turnovers, so they may sack and they they.
Speaker 5 (01:34:05):
May have famous last words.
Speaker 3 (01:34:07):
Yeah, famous last.
Speaker 9 (01:34:08):
War Jared six oh, No, I did that during the
Washington Commanders game right before it started. Legitimately true. I
was like, man, watch Jared hand throw four picks. I
said the jinks he threw four picks. I know exactly
what I said.
Speaker 14 (01:34:27):
He was.
Speaker 6 (01:34:27):
I'm just saying that that's a prediction. I don't believe
in the jinks. I remember people got mad at me.
Spencer Turnbull was throwing a no hitter in Seattle and.
Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
I mentioned it.
Speaker 8 (01:34:35):
What did you do?
Speaker 3 (01:34:38):
No, he did throw the no hitter. That's the point.
Speaker 5 (01:34:41):
That's the only reason he told this door.
Speaker 6 (01:34:43):
That's the reason he did throw the no hitter. So
I don't believe in jinxes. All right, when we come back,
we'll make some of those picks. And we've got the
mail bag coming up as well.
Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
Fifteen.
Speaker 8 (01:34:53):
Nice to know that chef can make people throw no hitters.
There you go.
Speaker 5 (01:35:02):
Last night, did you say they're gonna win? You call it?
Speaker 7 (01:35:04):
You will will Jeff going down with the ship.
Speaker 8 (01:35:07):
That's why to tell us post All Star breaks, it
looks spooky.
Speaker 6 (01:35:13):
The magic numbers doesn't make it very comfortable, not at all,
which is crazy.
Speaker 8 (01:35:18):
Hey, look shout out Michael Wherry's number two.
Speaker 10 (01:35:20):
We got the crowd for number two spots, the top fans,
He says, I respect Schwartz has DC, but he has
no clue running over the Browns, sonic and knuckles another
two hundred yard performance.
Speaker 5 (01:35:34):
And we're gonna see.
Speaker 9 (01:35:34):
I will say this, I would like to see in
this game Jamiir. Maybe not this game, but I'm keeping
my eye on Jamiir running between the tackles. A lot
of the success for him to come on the outside.
And I think that's the one thing in the run
game that they haven't gotten right. They got this own scheme.
Last game with Dave Montgomery, as we highlighted Braklen's breakdown,
and you saw that work. You saw the double saw
the double team. That wasn't Jamiir Gibbs story in the
(01:35:56):
last first three games. His success is on the outside.
I want to see more that because last year it
got to the point where he was running inside and
outside and that's when we feel comfortable. When Dave Montgomery's
her was like, it's all good because he's a number
one back.
Speaker 5 (01:36:08):
He can do all the things he can't. I just
want to see a little more of it.
Speaker 8 (01:36:12):
Hey, and you know what, first to the whist sue.
Speaker 10 (01:36:15):
Every Sunday, where do you go to get your Lions

Speaker 8 (01:36:30):

Speaker 10 (01:36:32):
Refer to myself like that, So I'm sorry, but you
gotta have kool aid over here in the TV booth
and stay tapped it because you are you know, the
whole slate, the pregame, the watch.

Speaker 3 (01:42:36):
Then you know I got your answer.
Speaker 6 (01:42:38):
By the way, you asked, Sacks, why so Seattle because
of last night tied with the Rams and the Broncos
with twelve. Then it's the Browns and the Lions with eleven,
and then the Packers with ten.
Speaker 5 (01:42:50):
So the Lions will be in third before last night.
Speaker 6 (01:42:52):
Yeah, So for what that's worth, you wanted the because
I knew question I got.
Speaker 3 (01:42:57):
To answer for. Yeah, Okay, there you go.
Speaker 7 (01:42:59):
So you saying we're good is.
Speaker 8 (01:43:00):
What you're saying?
Speaker 7 (01:43:01):
Yeah, damn, you're right.
Speaker 3 (01:43:05):
All right, let's get to let's get to our picks
for the week, shall we.
Speaker 5 (01:43:08):
Let's do it all right?
Speaker 3 (01:43:11):
I think we all had Seattle last night.
Speaker 5 (01:43:14):
So here we go. You ready, Yeah, go.
Speaker 3 (01:43:15):
Around the horn?
Speaker 6 (01:43:16):
Here these straight straight, just straight up who okay, you
know you don't have to bet with it. Minnesota is
at Pittsburgh, Braylin, Yeah, Minnesota at Pittsburgh. Second straight start
for Carson Wentz. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been better than
I thought they would be.
Speaker 5 (01:43:34):
Man, they ain't doing nothing in office. Give me the vikings.
Anybody believing Aaron Rodgers and that fakeness. Give me the vikings.
Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
But you let your sometimes, you let your hearket in
the way.
Speaker 9 (01:43:42):
How's but how's my heart in the way. I don't
love Carson Wentz. I don't love anything.
Speaker 6 (01:43:48):
No, but you said the fake Aaron Rodgers. If you
don't think their offense, that's fine. But Carson Wentz hasn't
really done anything yet either.
Speaker 4 (01:43:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:43:55):
What he did was filled into as system.
Speaker 9 (01:43:56):
We saw Sam Donald take the fourteen wins last year
and it looked similar to that last game to look professionally.
I have no ink stores Aaron Rodgers. I no disrespect
towards Aaron Roders.
Speaker 6 (01:44:05):
I like what the stillers I got all the thin
part of the problem with Aaron Rodgers is he's not fake.
Speaker 3 (01:44:12):
He says what's out his mind. I don't don't like it.
Speaker 9 (01:44:14):
But first of all, that's not me. So what you
feel about Aaron Ry has nothing to do with my comment.
My comment is the Vikings will be the Stillers because
I don't believe in the Stillers, which is why we
were ranking AFC teams. Even though there's Stillers are two
and one, I still don't have them in the top
five AFC teams.
Speaker 5 (01:44:27):
I don't because I don't believe in them.
Speaker 9 (01:44:29):
So this is nothing to do with the Vikings and
Justin Jefferson, and this is because they're a better team.
Speaker 3 (01:44:34):
Okay, kool aid.
Speaker 10 (01:44:36):
I actually have been pretty bullets on the Vikings for
a wild quarterback or no quarterback, I gotta go Vikings,
all right, k.
Speaker 2 (01:44:42):
Yeah, I mean I don't believe in a rodd either,
for all the reasons Braylan said.
Speaker 4 (01:44:46):
But it's just hard believing.
Speaker 5 (01:44:48):
Well yeah, put that on me.
Speaker 7 (01:44:50):
But no, you're right.
Speaker 2 (01:44:50):
But the Pittsburgh Steelers as a whole, it's unfortunate one
of my teams. But I hate Aaron Rodgers, but I
gotta go with Pittsburgh this week because Carson.
Speaker 9 (01:44:59):
Wentz, I mean you, Daniel Jones, I mean, come on, yeah,
I mean Smith, I mean at the right thing.
Speaker 3 (01:45:08):
We just had a full segment on that.
Speaker 7 (01:45:09):
Yeah, a little different.
Speaker 6 (01:45:11):
I'm actually I'm actually gonna go with Pittsburgh. I think
it'll be a close game. I'm gonna go with Pittsburgh,
although Minnesota's defense is impressive.
Speaker 3 (01:45:17):
Ryan Flores Washington at Atlanta Atlanta, Okay, even though they
got blown out thirty to nothing last.
Speaker 9 (01:45:25):
But it's just like you say, it's every it's every Sunday,
any given Sunday. You can't get blown out like that
again and then lose this game and keep your jobs.
Speaker 5 (01:45:33):
All right, Cool, I'm gonna go Washington.
Speaker 7 (01:45:37):
It'll be an ugly game Washington, though.
Speaker 3 (01:45:39):
I'm gonna go Washington as well, especially if Jayden Daniels
is back.
Speaker 4 (01:45:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:45:42):
New Orleans at Buffalo. I think we all want we
all picked Buffalo. There are we all picking the Lions? Yeahah,
we've broken that down pretty well. Carolina is at New England. Okay,
New England taking New England as well.
Speaker 7 (01:45:56):
I don't want to touched this game with a ten
foot pole.
Speaker 2 (01:45:58):
Give me Carolina, man, I guess love.
Speaker 7 (01:46:01):
Yeah, I'm just trying to be different.
Speaker 9 (01:46:03):
Sta Henry is the next feed.
Speaker 4 (01:46:09):
Fett.
Speaker 9 (01:46:09):
He's been in the league ten years he's the next.
Speaker 5 (01:46:12):
No, he's good, he's up.
Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
Net he's been good, he's up next.
Speaker 3 (01:46:18):
Kool aid. Who you got New England or Carolina?
Speaker 5 (01:46:21):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (01:46:21):
I got New England?
Speaker 4 (01:46:22):
This New England?
Speaker 3 (01:46:23):
Straight up.
Speaker 6 (01:46:24):
The Chargers are at the Giants. Giants are making a change. Yeah,
Jackson Dark is now their quarterback. Does it help them?
I'll take the Chargers.
Speaker 10 (01:46:34):
Chargers So you think so you're thinking let me take Chargers.
Speaker 7 (01:46:41):
Yeah, I was about to say, no, way, you're taking the.
Speaker 5 (01:46:43):
I think the Giants gonna cover though.
Speaker 7 (01:46:45):
I can see that.
Speaker 5 (01:46:46):
I think the Giants.
Speaker 7 (01:46:46):
I can see that the Jackson Dark era has begun.
Speaker 5 (01:46:50):
The Churches are.
Speaker 3 (01:46:50):
Favored by six and a half.
Speaker 9 (01:46:52):
If it was five and a half, I would take
the Giants. I'm telling you. I feel it's something that
this game is tricky.
Speaker 5 (01:46:57):
Yeah, this is just one of the games. I don't
think it's Charges might win by like two.
Speaker 6 (01:47:03):
We'll say your favorite here in a minute. Tennessee at Houston.
Anybody believing in the Titans.
Speaker 5 (01:47:08):
No, I didn't think so.
Speaker 7 (01:47:10):
Houston ain't much better.
Speaker 9 (01:47:11):
I don't believe in them either, but I made way
more than I believe in Titans.
Speaker 6 (01:47:15):
Indiana or Indianapolis rather at the Rams Rams. Okay, this
is where the Colts gravy train stops.
Speaker 7 (01:47:24):
Indiana Jones, Baby, why not?
Speaker 5 (01:47:25):
I just think you're going to why not? Upset alert?
Speaker 8 (01:47:28):
Upset alert, upset alert, understands TV.
Speaker 5 (01:47:35):
I will, I will.
Speaker 9 (01:47:35):
Say the upset alert when CAG and I used to
do the show together, like Cag actually won in the
twenty twenty three season.
Speaker 5 (01:47:43):
Did he won? He won the game. The wins and losses,
and to be honest, one you close.
Speaker 12 (01:47:48):
Yeah, I had a lot of six and people want
to show he was running away with the whole season
and in mass calling towards the end, and then I
think he won by six games, finished back six games
a lot.
Speaker 7 (01:47:59):
That is I'm not doing.
Speaker 5 (01:48:06):
Alright.
Speaker 11 (01:48:07):
I love the Jacksonville at San Francisco, San France, a Francisco,
San Franz.
Speaker 3 (01:48:18):
Undefeated.
Speaker 7 (01:48:18):
It's party back, not yet.
Speaker 2 (01:48:22):
I don't believe man Jackson obayo, mile y'all gonna keep
relying on CMC like the rest of the forty nine ers.
Speaker 3 (01:48:30):
Mack Jones are three touchdowns two weeks.
Speaker 5 (01:48:31):
Ago, three hundred. That's cool, all right, give me.
Speaker 3 (01:48:36):
San Francisco's favor about three and a half.
Speaker 9 (01:48:38):
By the way, three and a half magic number. Give
me the Jaguars. You're taking the Jags. I'll take the Niners.
Speaker 8 (01:48:44):
I'm taking the Niners.
Speaker 6 (01:48:46):
Jack all right, Chicago's at Vegas the trash cargo. I'm
gonna go back to back week weeks for the Bears.
Speaker 10 (01:48:55):
I don't even want to pick it, but yes, the
the Benedict Arnom.
Speaker 5 (01:48:58):
Okay, you can't even picking to beat the Raiders.
Speaker 7 (01:49:04):
Pete Carroll finds away.
Speaker 8 (01:49:05):
Baby, give me the Raiders.
Speaker 5 (01:49:09):
That's why you're not doing good on Yeah, I know.
Speaker 3 (01:49:15):
About the Packers of the Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (01:49:17):
Blow out, beat down.
Speaker 9 (01:49:22):
I'm talking about like they may beat them by thirty.
Speaker 5 (01:49:27):
Might be the first of all.
Speaker 9 (01:49:28):
Do you realize that the last six times they played
at home they beat the stuffing out of the Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (01:49:33):
It's just including that playoff class.
Speaker 5 (01:49:36):
Listen, give me give me the Green Bay Packers. I
think what they do.
Speaker 9 (01:49:39):
You got a guy on the end that wants to
get to their quarterbacks so bad, but it ain't about him.
Speaker 5 (01:49:42):
It's about the other guys as well. They will get
to him.
Speaker 9 (01:49:45):
The offensive line not necessarily the best, but that they're
gonna get to them and it's gonna be ugly. They
don't have CD Lamb and George Pickens. He's another crash
out way.
Speaker 6 (01:49:54):
If the Giants can score as much as they did
against Dallas, I think green Bay is gonna score even more.
Speaker 5 (01:50:00):
Russell Wilson had four fifty five and.
Speaker 7 (01:50:02):
Four crazy for fifty.
Speaker 6 (01:50:05):
Green Bay's favored by six and a half. I'm taking
green Back, cool.
Speaker 8 (01:50:08):
Aid, green Bay easy money man.
Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
Michael Parson's legacy game eleven sacks for him sack.
Speaker 5 (01:50:17):
Okay, take that to the bank.
Speaker 9 (01:50:18):
Okay, No, we got over under Michael Parsons sacks.
Speaker 5 (01:50:24):
I'm gonna set it that. I'll set it at two
and a half.
Speaker 7 (01:50:27):
Over three on that, okay, three on that.
Speaker 3 (01:50:31):
Two and a half has a big number. I'm gonna
go under. I'll go two sacks.
Speaker 9 (01:50:35):
Okay, I'm gonna put everybody down right here. You've got two?
You got over?
Speaker 5 (01:50:41):
Shut over? What do you have?
Speaker 8 (01:50:43):
I'm goodness gracious, I'm gonna go over.
Speaker 10 (01:50:47):
For who the player he is, as well as the
passion with this game could mean I'm gonna go over.
Speaker 5 (01:50:52):
I think he's gonna have four sacks.
Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
Wow, Okay, so I'm in the minority there right all
right here, here's a couple more ready, Baltimore at Kansas City.
You said Kansas City earlier.
Speaker 5 (01:51:05):
I believe somebody sees it. I'm gonna stick with my
pick Kansas City.
Speaker 3 (01:51:09):
Okay, cool Ad.
Speaker 8 (01:51:14):
Baltimore bounce back.
Speaker 7 (01:51:16):
I'm going Raven's embarrassed the Chiefs. You heard it here first.
Speaker 3 (01:51:20):
All right.
Speaker 6 (01:51:21):
I'm not sure if that's true, but I believe in you.
Philadelphia at Tampa. We got Tampa here is you.
Speaker 5 (01:51:28):
Know I'm going.
Speaker 9 (01:51:30):
I'm going with I'm going with the hidean trophy winning baby,
let's go. I'm going with the hides and trophy win
and and the true Oklahoma quarterback, true Oklahoma quarterback, not
the in person all right, impersonator, not that transfer, the
not the guy that left Alabama.
Speaker 3 (01:51:47):
DeVante Smith went to heids scho He did, so, which
one are you referring to?
Speaker 5 (01:51:50):
The one who plays quarterbacks?
Speaker 11 (01:51:51):
Oh okay, I'm gonna do like the quarterback of my
fantasy team.
Speaker 8 (01:51:57):
So that is one Baker Mayfield and the Buck.
Speaker 5 (01:52:00):
I feel like if.
Speaker 9 (01:52:00):
I I feel like, if I go against Baltimore like Lamar,
have a bad game and it's not gonna help the
fantasy probably not.
Speaker 7 (01:52:08):
Probably, This is why you should let me pick them.
I was trying to pick them. You took them from me.
Speaker 5 (01:52:12):
I'm gonna stick with.
Speaker 8 (01:52:13):
K you got.
Speaker 2 (01:52:14):
I gotta go Philly on this man, as much as
I want to take the books.
Speaker 6 (01:52:17):
All right, Philly, we got two more quick ones. Then
we gotta get to the mail bag. Uh, this is disgusting.
The Jets at the Dolphins.
Speaker 5 (01:52:25):
Jay E Tys and I believe that. I think they're
gonna win by twenty twenty.
Speaker 10 (01:52:30):
Yes, oh yeah, definitely the ag Jets from roetts.
Speaker 7 (01:52:34):
Bro it's the Dolphins. What are we talking about?
Speaker 2 (01:52:37):
My boy a breaking out the dance back till back
week said he gonna.
Speaker 7 (01:52:40):
Win this time. Give me the Jets.
Speaker 5 (01:52:42):
You got the Jets.
Speaker 3 (01:52:43):
Okay, give me the Jets. The Dolphins are terrible. They
fought horrible. They fought harder last week than they thought.
Speaker 4 (01:52:49):
Yeah they did.
Speaker 3 (01:52:49):
It's like give them a little bit of Cress run back.
Speaker 9 (01:52:51):
Yeah, that's the that's the thing to says some my offense.
He still have really good running backs.
Speaker 4 (01:52:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:52:56):
I think they're gonna simplify some things. They surprised me
last week week.
Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
I don't think Justin Fields is playing that I last time.
Speaker 5 (01:53:04):
I checked, it's even better.
Speaker 3 (01:53:06):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Dolphins.
Speaker 7 (01:53:09):
I'm gonna take the Dolphins. You are, I'll show man.
Speaker 6 (01:53:11):
But okay, Cincinnati at Denver. Oh, I'm taking Denver, Denver,
give me Cincinnati, Jake.
Speaker 2 (01:53:24):
Brown and Legacy game, give me CENSI all right, man,
give me this, give.
Speaker 7 (01:53:27):
Me give me the Broncos. And I'm big on bon Knicks.
Speaker 5 (01:53:32):
Man, give me Cincinnati.
Speaker 17 (01:53:35):
Man.
Speaker 6 (01:53:37):
Now, lastly, and I know we gotta get to the mailback.
Give me the final score of Lions and Browns.
Speaker 8 (01:53:46):
Sol Camon Brayle's right, man, what's up?
Speaker 9 (01:53:48):
B Already I was writing, no, no, no, that's all good.
All right, Lions.
Speaker 7 (01:53:55):
Scolast week.
Speaker 3 (01:53:56):
I just picked the wrong team. I picked Baltimore last week.
Speaker 5 (01:53:59):
But my my, I don't score.
Speaker 3 (01:54:00):
It was almost dead.
Speaker 5 (01:54:01):
Lions twenty seven.
Speaker 7 (01:54:03):
Don't take my don't take it.
Speaker 9 (01:54:05):
Yeah, Lion's twenty I want to get I want to
get them to thirty. But that defense is damn good.
Speaker 4 (01:54:11):
Uh, Lion's offense is better.
Speaker 5 (01:54:15):
Lions, Lion's thirty. Browns.
Speaker 7 (01:54:20):
You see how I go to them into stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:54:23):
I got Lions twenty seven, Browns thirteen.
Speaker 7 (01:54:25):
Oh you took my score, ship. That's what I knew you,
that's what that's why I stared you did.
Speaker 5 (01:54:31):
That's what I was going. It's all good.
Speaker 3 (01:54:33):
Seven yeah, seven thirty.
Speaker 10 (01:54:35):
I was looking at thirty one thirteen thirty one, OK,
the only one with.
Speaker 5 (01:54:42):
My own two numbers.
Speaker 4 (01:54:43):
You are correct.
Speaker 5 (01:54:44):
You guys got a number that matching thirty.
Speaker 7 (01:54:47):
Look at this good Joe.
Speaker 9 (01:54:50):
Look Joe Flak, I got I got the idea. Come
sit right next to me, man, right, come sit right,
you got a future. Just come sit over here. You
got the stick mic like.
Speaker 5 (01:55:00):
Joe Man, wouldn't you be out there? Whether we can leave?
Speaker 6 (01:55:04):
Thomas on the chat said thirty three sixteen Lions. Randall
said thirty five thirteen Lions. Hutchinson two sacks easy, super
Bowl thirty.
Speaker 3 (01:55:14):
One score, laughed my ass off. More Lions, one hundred
and fifty Browns three set out justin Yeah, there's a lot.
Speaker 6 (01:55:21):
Thirty one nothing super Bowl, super Bowl, Wilson says. Michael
Sosis says Lions thirty one thirteen. A lot of good
stuff in the chat. Let's get to the mail bag
before we're out of hearing on Friday.
Speaker 10 (01:55:32):
Hey, definitely, And I see another one there too, from
from mister Michael Werry, who said, uh, I think his
score is thirty five to six, So obviously the common theme.
Nobody expects the Browns to score, but a lot of
people aren't expecting much in my opinion of the Browns
defense too.
Speaker 8 (01:55:48):
And we're gonna see if that's a mistake. We're gonna
see if that's a mistake. But uh, gonna jump into
these mail bags.
Speaker 10 (01:55:53):
And I saw an interesting one here dealing with the
Tigers two that I'm gonna read first.
Speaker 8 (01:55:58):
It was a pretty low one.
Speaker 10 (01:55:59):
But Michael Werry also sends him two dollars super Chat
saying shop Jayden is out for Sunday.
Speaker 8 (01:56:04):
Just f y I. So I want to make.
Speaker 3 (01:56:07):
Sure we read. Yeah, that changes, that.
Speaker 9 (01:56:12):
Changes not for me, right, Trying to get this, I
wrote all down, So I'm gonna put these, put these
nice and tight.
Speaker 6 (01:56:21):
Yeah, and I got this first filing system back there, right, Jared.
Speaker 10 (01:56:27):
Sayers, is it worth pitching Schooble on Sunday? If the
Tigers lose Friday and Saturday and if Houston is one
and one going into Sunday, we own the tiebreaker. Pitch
Schooble to get into playoffs or save him for Game one.
Speaker 3 (01:56:39):
Great question that's been the questions, A great question.
Speaker 6 (01:56:42):
I had that question earlier this week on my radio
show Monday through Friday six till nine, somebody asked me
that I.
Speaker 2 (01:56:49):
Love the division doesn't matter at this point, Man, get
to the place it does matter.
Speaker 3 (01:56:54):
It does matter.
Speaker 7 (01:56:55):
I mean, if it mattered, they shouldn't have Blue to lead.
Speaker 6 (01:56:58):
Well, I'm not saying that. I'm not saying they didn't
think it didn't matter. If you're saying it doesn't matter
at this point, it does matter. You go to Cleveland
instead of Cleveland coming to you if you want the
last at bats, and if you think home field does matter,
they would like that atmosphere of course does matter. I
don't think they'll get there. I think they'll be the
(01:57:19):
wild card. Okay, I mean does it does it matter?
Do you think it matters between Toronto and New York?
Speaker 2 (01:57:25):
No, the Tigers were able to go to Houston and
win a series last year when nobody thought they could.
Speaker 3 (01:57:29):
And Kansas City did the same thing when they were on.
Speaker 5 (01:57:31):
The road they did.
Speaker 3 (01:57:32):
Yeah, but I think it does matter.
Speaker 6 (01:57:34):
And then reason another reason it matters is because you're
up fifteen and a half and you blew it, so
you want that division title. Don't kid yourself those guys
made it as a wild card last year. They want
to make it as a division winner this year for
sure be the first two thousand and four.
Speaker 4 (01:57:46):
Would you agree?
Speaker 2 (01:57:47):
Would you agree that the playoffs are more important at
this point? I would much rather have schoobl in a
series against a team that historically has kicked our ass,
like just flat stop, like, I think it's more important
to have Schooble going.
Speaker 3 (01:57:59):
And that I agree.
Speaker 6 (01:58:01):
Let me ask all three of you guys this, If
Detroit needs Sunday to win the division? Do you throw
Schoobl or do you just hold on him? I hold
off because you don't you don't know, if you may
not even know if you're in on Sunday. True, Okay,
so are you throwing him?
Speaker 7 (01:58:20):
I'm preserving him.
Speaker 5 (01:58:21):
Just me, Are you throwing him? I'm throwing them.
Speaker 3 (01:58:24):
I'm throwing them too.
Speaker 5 (01:58:25):
I'm throwing.
Speaker 10 (01:58:28):
I'm throwing. I'm throwing them up. I like the old
school baseball, like the Justine Orlando.
Speaker 5 (01:58:33):
I believe he's the type of picture that wants to
be thrown.
Speaker 9 (01:58:35):
I think he's the type of the old school guy
wants to go out there and do what he you know,
do what he can get it rock and roll and
get that momentum, maybe secure you know, in that space,
and be the one to do it riding no momentum
going into the playoffs, like as opposed to holding him
get in and then now let's go, because I would
rather him come in with some momentum, with some heat,
because right now.
Speaker 6 (01:58:56):
It's he'd also I am so with you on that,
But I will say it was a big disappointment the
other night, not not the loss, not the play between
the legs. You know this, I've already stated too many times.
I wanted him to come back out for the seventh.
I wanted him to make the the Mickey Lohlich, the
justin Verlinda, the Jack Morris statement.
Speaker 5 (01:59:15):
And we didn't get it.
Speaker 6 (01:59:16):
So so when does Detroit? How last thing before we're
out of here? Is Detroit a division winner, a wild
card advancement or not making the playoffs?
Speaker 9 (01:59:27):
What do you got, Bray, I'm going last, Well, I'm
going next to you, you go first case.
Speaker 7 (01:59:32):
It has gotta be wildcard at this point.
Speaker 3 (01:59:33):
Be a wildcard, okay, cool a.
Speaker 5 (01:59:35):
I was gonna say a wildcard.
Speaker 9 (01:59:37):
Okay, somehow they're gonna win the division, okay, Captain, Captain
positivity in here.
Speaker 5 (01:59:42):
They win the division school pictures on Sun.
Speaker 3 (01:59:44):
Captain love that I do. I think that's awesome. I
think they're gonna be a wildcard as well, but we'll
be talking about it on Monday, that's for certain. Braylan
Edwards Show.
