it's a big night, right, I mean, the ladies here
at Lady James are dressed up some as an official,
which is pretty funny. She said, I wanted to be.

(06:33):
I actually wanted to be a referee in the Kansas
City Chiefs game, and I was going to put on
Kansas City glasses to go along with my outfit, which
I thought was very creative. But she couldn't find them.
So next time. Perhaps she'll put, you know, some sunglasses
with the Kansas City chiefs logo on it. Who knows

(06:55):
you have some nurses out there, you have Hulk Hogan
out there, you have a lot of people got create
for Halloween. So in that realm the Halloween celebration, do
you pass out candy guys, or do you leave it
in a bowl?

Speaker 12 (07:11):
Full disclosure, Like I used to celebrate Halloween. Me and
my family used to celebrate Halloween. We no longer celebrate
Halloween because of our faith, because of our spirituality, we
stay away from it.

Speaker 9 (07:21):
But when I was younger, I.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Definitely pass out can definitely don't put it in a
bowl because you're somebody's you know how people.

Speaker 12 (07:30):
You want to regulate it, like, I'm not trying to
just give you two pieces or one piece, but I'm
not trying to have you come here and.

Speaker 9 (07:36):
Scoop up eleven on every scoop, so you know you monitor.

Speaker 12 (07:40):
Yeah, and then you get the kids a nice costumes,
say can we have one two mole?

Speaker 9 (07:45):
I'll give you four.

Speaker 12 (07:46):
Spread the but I'm not just putting that bawl out
there because you have to replenish it every twenty minutes.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Okay, and the kind of candy that was best served
from the Edwards home.

Speaker 9 (07:57):
And we were like the big bags and stuff. So
we give you like the full.

Speaker 12 (08:00):
Bag of Skittles, We give the full bag like you know,
gummy Bears or whatever.

Speaker 9 (08:06):
It was full Snickers, full, one hundred grands full way
that we were big into.

Speaker 12 (08:11):
I guess the Mars family would it be, but we
were big into the Mars family. Like Halloween for me
is I want the stuff that I see that I
want to get in the store all the time.

Speaker 9 (08:20):
Give me that they don't.

Speaker 12 (08:22):
Don't give me the candy corn Yeah, no, thank you,
no thank you on the tipsy roll.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
If you give me, if you give mettle, Honey's and Mary.

Speaker 9 (08:29):
Jane nuts, paus, don't thank you.

Speaker 11 (08:31):
I don't need any of that.

Speaker 9 (08:33):
Don't give me. Don't give me the candy that.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Don't give me cracker Jack.

Speaker 12 (08:36):
Don't give me the candy that you get for a discount.
Like when you go in to Myers or insert store.
You going there and they got this huge bag in
this box.

Speaker 9 (08:44):
In the very front.

Speaker 12 (08:45):
I don't want the candy in the box in the
front that you come here. I want the candy that
you have to go on the aisle and has all
the colors, like the Skittles, like the starbirds, like the
Reese's pieces.

Speaker 9 (08:55):
If you will give me the good stuff, so we're
giving you the good stuff. That's what the holiday was for.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Back.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Do you remember the candy bottle caps? Yes, you do.
People would give those pople. I just wanted to give
it back to them.

Speaker 12 (09:11):
What's the nasty candy that you like though, because everybody
has a secret candy that was like, is on this
list that they will eat?

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Well, okay, that's a good one.

Speaker 9 (09:20):
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
I a lot of my friends didn't like mounds, and
I like mounds. Okay, well there you go.

Speaker 9 (09:27):
Enjoy enjoy wiped off.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Yeah, I like those, and I like.

Speaker 12 (09:34):
It's not fair because you know what, you know what,
I don't like that because I can stereotype that you
like that in the fact that you do.

Speaker 9 (09:39):
Now I'm pissed.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
How can you? How can you? How do you stereotype
what kind of candy I like? Because nobody this is interesting.

Speaker 12 (09:46):
Nobody likes Miles is younger than fifty nine.

Speaker 11 (09:52):
That's true.

Speaker 12 (09:52):
Nobody that likes mounds is younger than fifty nine.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Oh man, I walked right into that. How about a heath.

Speaker 9 (09:58):
Bar, same thing, But those are good. I have no problem.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Okay, so they passed.

Speaker 9 (10:03):
Yeah, but you you started with one hundred grand the
other day.

Speaker 12 (10:09):
You immediately brought me into I said, that's why it's
my guy.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
But but most people I know like hundred grand. I
love hundred grand.

Speaker 9 (10:17):
Okay, so bad candy.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
So give me the bad candy that you like. I
don't like the dark chocolate Milky Way, all right, or
the dark chocolate Hershey's.

Speaker 12 (10:29):
It's so funny because now I'm about to be a
hypric because I just mentioned this candy and now I'm
about to turn around.

Speaker 9 (10:35):
So I do like Titsy Rose on Halloween.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Okay, I won't eat to I don't rolls now outside.

Speaker 12 (10:44):
I like the fruit color totty Rose. No no, I
said you're I said you're round. But I'm saying the
bad candy is totsy Row. I said I would eat
ttsy rolls the brown I eat.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
They gotta be chocolate. I mean, if you're giving me
a banana Toutsi roll, I'm throwing it away. Rawberry Totti roll,
I'm throwing it away.

Speaker 12 (11:01):
This has the thing about tutsy roll. They don't have
banana flavor. There's like lemon, like their yellow is not
bananas lemon.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Okay, it's sneaky, it's good, so still throwing it away.
It's got to be in the Tutti roll. It's got
to be. It's got to be the little rabbit dump
right there. That's what I gotta have.

Speaker 12 (11:14):
Pizza is the worst Halloween. I don't even to understand
how pizzas Halloween.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Can I understand? So I don't understand how it's an
Easter King marshmallows yea sugar up the ying yan. That's crazy.
So that's a good one, all right. So Tutsi roll,
I don't know if that would I don't know. I
don't like most people I know like Tutsi rolls, So
I don't know if that's a bad candy.

Speaker 9 (11:35):
How you go over and you see Tootsy Rolls just
chilling in the pants.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Well, I can tell you this. I mean my mom
had him constantly. Those and gum drops all the time,
gung driver and jelly beans.

Speaker 12 (11:46):
We used to have a which type of jelly beans
the branches, jelly bean starbus the old school, the old school,
so starbars, jelly beans are like the greatest thing ever ever, Grace.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
We had a candy bowl in our living room that
was always full of candy and just little like you'd
take a tutsi roll or do you take a you know,
a gum drop or you take a jelly bean or
something like that. My neighbors were not allowed to have candy,
so they would come over and literally just wipe you in.
Maullet yeah, wipe that. You were at the dealer, Yeah.

Speaker 11 (12:18):
Charging that.

Speaker 9 (12:18):
That was a good question you asked Mikayla. Stop.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
He just said I should have charged my friends for
candy that my mom bought.

Speaker 9 (12:25):
I mean, it's a different area everything. He's making a
dollar there.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
Ryan's trying to make a dollar. What were you gonna
say about Mikayla?

Speaker 12 (12:32):
You asked her a great question in terms of like
when do you know you're done Halloween trick or treating?

Speaker 9 (12:36):
What's the age?

Speaker 12 (12:36):
I think the age is thirteen, except for like twelve.
You still hold on to a twelve. You're in sixth grade.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
You're like, twelve is sixth grade, thirteen is seventh grade?

Speaker 9 (12:45):
Now thirteen?

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Seven?

Speaker 9 (12:46):
Okay, yeah, so like thirteen, yeah, because you were twelve.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
I feel like once you're a teenager. That's a tough
thing to do. Hey, what are you doing tonight? We're
going trick or treating and while everybody else is going
to a party.

Speaker 12 (12:57):
I think for me it was like I was at
you indeed jesuit at the time, I was at the academy,
and you know, it was tough. Like me and my
boy he came home to spend the night and we're
coming home. We have one shirt, tie, slacks, sports code,
like like this is the school I go to now,
And then you're telling me I'm about to turn around
like put a costume on.

Speaker 9 (13:15):
I was like, you're right, what are we doing?

Speaker 12 (13:16):
We're two grown So we just walked around like t
shirts and jeans. By the second block, me and my
boy Jordan's segu we looked at each other's like, nah,
this ain't it. Like this ain't anymore. You're trying you're
trying to go play a let's go play PlayStation.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Yeah, that's what its what it is.

Speaker 9 (13:32):
Yeah, thirteen kool aid?

Speaker 1 (13:34):
What about you? What kind of candies are you giving
out tonight? If you're giving them out, if you if
you got to keep the light on, Yeah, are are
you handing them out, you're putting them in a bowl,
And what's the worst candy that you actually liked that
nobody else like.

Speaker 8 (13:45):
I got a story similar to bray.

Speaker 13 (13:47):
But if it was giving out candy, it would have
to be Snickers. It would have to be It used
to be Skittles and a whacob when we talked about this.
Now I'm a dad, I give out the Giggles. That's
the responsible one without the fact did candy it tastes good,
got the cane sugar. But for me, I was more
like that mix of the like Snickers, Eminem's butterfingers is

(14:09):
definitely one for me. Skittles if you go on something fruity,
and I gotta get the sour gummy worms.

Speaker 8 (14:15):
If you had the sober gummy worms when I was
a kid, a legend to me.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I had to have those, all right, So sour gummies, yep,
those are obviously a little tart, but I get white
people like those. My kids used to love those. After hockey,
for example, are you are you putting it in a
bowl or are you're handing it out by hand to
the kids at the door.

Speaker 8 (14:36):
I had to hand it out for me. It was
the regulation thing.

Speaker 13 (14:39):
I know me, and so I'm gonna act like everybody
else is gonna act like me too.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
So how many how many bags of candy did your
wife buy for tonight?

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Do you think?

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Do you get a lot of people at your house?

Speaker 13 (14:51):
Let me think, I remember our first couple of years
we did this thing, and she would go she would
go all out.

Speaker 8 (14:55):
I would come home and it would look like you
grocery shop for the family. I'm like, what is this for?
We gotta for the neighborhood. I'm like, there's not that
many people over here. But then all of a sudden,
I started thinking.

Speaker 13 (15:05):
I was like, you know what, I could snap some
of these bags, some of my faves the kids won't know.

Speaker 8 (15:10):
But then I was like, you know what, I didn't
want wifey.

Speaker 13 (15:12):
I didn't want Wifey to come away, you know, with
the kids, like what the heck is this? So I
left some of the good in there so she could
also be praised by the neighborhood kids.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Let's face it, I mean, you don't want to take
all the extras anyway, because you're gonna end up eating
the minutes you just got story.

Speaker 13 (15:28):
Some of the rob sims in college. I was good
after college got married. My wife is can voted to
be throwing down. It was some trouble for some years.

Speaker 8 (15:36):
Man.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Uh, just the opposite for Rob Simms. What about you, Ryan?
Is your family handing out candy or do they put
it in a bowl? And what's the candy? You? You
absolutely like that? Everybody else hated.

Speaker 11 (15:47):
I haven't been home for Halloween in like four years,
so I have no idea what they do.

Speaker 9 (15:53):
You not even that old, Like you're home in four years?
You don't remember four years ago? No, I know too.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
You remember, I'll tell you what. No, when you be yes, Braylon,
he picks it up right away.

Speaker 9 (16:04):
No, I was over.

Speaker 12 (16:07):
I remember when you can't take me back four years old?

Speaker 9 (16:11):
I guess that was, you know. I.

Speaker 11 (16:12):
I honestly have no idea what they normally do. I
know they like kind of hang out with.

Speaker 12 (16:16):
Something before COVID. I'm sorry, it's Friday, man.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
I know.

Speaker 11 (16:25):
I know they typically hang out with just like the neighbors,
and I think they kind of do like a party.
But some people are gone, so I don't know what
they're doing. They might just pass out candy. I mean,
I won't be home tonight, but I don't know.

Speaker 9 (16:34):
What they're gonna do no regulation what your neighborhood does.

Speaker 11 (16:37):
No, No, I don't pay attention.

Speaker 8 (16:41):
Did you get the picture?

Speaker 11 (16:43):
I didn't see any picture from the slack.

Speaker 8 (16:46):
I guess I got some chats to here, man, I
want to get to them.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Just let me get through this.

Speaker 11 (16:51):
I can't even be kick cat, by the way. That
I can't even be a kick cat by the way.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
But everybody likes kit cat, don't they wrong?

Speaker 11 (16:57):
But it's like the only thing that's provided in my house.
So that's why I know.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
But the question was, what's the candy that you like
that not many other people like? Like? I said mounds
and he called me old. He said TUTSI rules uh
Khulaid said sour pats. What did you say?

Speaker 9 (17:13):
Oh?

Speaker 11 (17:13):
I got mallow cups.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
Oh that's a good one. I can't stand mallow cups, Like, yeah,
they're good. That does win. Hey, you're right, candy corn
is a really good one. I hate candy corn. We
have a we have a jar full of it. Nobody's
touched it, I think ever since I've been here for
three months. This is what we've got going. I'm not
gonna do a Brailans breakdown, but this is our house.

(17:37):
Right here. So my wife goes out, We've got the
M and m's, and the peanut m and ms. You got,
you got, you gotta get the peanut m and m's, right,
Milky Ways, when I when I called Michigan basketball Terry Mills,
and I would always have peanut m and ms. Don't
ask me why. It's actually kind of silly because the
peanuts can get caught in your throat. It's not a
good thing to do anyway. Twigs and Snickers, but those

(17:58):
are all the minis, right, and then we've got the
big ones too, for I don't know who's gonna who
deserves the bigger candy bars and who doesn't. But kit Kat,
the Hershey's with almonds and without, and the recess. And
we've got numerous boxes of those. If we don't get
as many kids, and we got a ton last year,
we went through all of them. I had to go
out and buy more candy. Last year we had so many.

Speaker 8 (18:20):
I'll say, how many of those you got with you
right now?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
I don't have any with me right now because I
knew I was getting a Smoothi King Smoothieay.

Speaker 12 (18:26):
Shout out to smooth King and you guys shout out
to Kirk at Smoothie King. Look, he set up the
he set up the package, he set up he waited
for us. We got there answering. Appreciate you, boots on ground.
Everybody contributed to it. Ah, you're laughing, so the pitcher
must have came through.

Speaker 8 (18:40):
Chef, I got a.

Speaker 12 (18:41):
Treat for you. You asked about costumes. You asked about favorite costumes.
But we appreciate our party. See with SMOOTHI King, they
are legit and they always always come through.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
All right, what is your favorite costume that you've ever had?

Speaker 9 (18:52):
Don't just go to it yet, but you size it
up the right way.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Okay, all right, we've got some things in the chat too.

Speaker 8 (19:02):
We're not footing all yet to the size right.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Look at him, Man, you are a cute kid.

Speaker 9 (19:09):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
I mean, I'm not sure sure now, but right there,
you're a cute kid.

Speaker 9 (19:14):
Back handed cop, back handed compliment. I appreciate that. Man,
this and I had you're going wait for the people
to see many all right?

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Who is that is that? Not?

Speaker 9 (19:29):
Segur Day nineteen eighty nine?

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Okay, all right, now.

Speaker 9 (19:32):
I remember the Debs eighty nine.

Speaker 1 (19:34):
Over there, Ryan, I'm trying to remember some longer than
four years ago.

Speaker 9 (19:38):
Four of them.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I'm trying to remember the four uh teenage mutant Ninja turtles.
There you go, okay, and then you've got Donna Tello Purple.

Speaker 12 (19:49):
Michael Angelo good Orange, Uh, the leader, he's a painter
as well.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
There you go Leonardo, he's blue, and you got rock
and red.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
There.

Speaker 12 (20:03):
I don't I feel he was the coldest. Raphael was
the coldest. He was the second and he was the
second oldest. But he had the attitude.

Speaker 9 (20:10):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
The last time Braylan wore red by the way back
all last time.

Speaker 12 (20:15):
But what you can't see here, but I know my
real shoe heads. I'm gonna just point.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
A little red there. Yeah.

Speaker 12 (20:24):
See when you see that hint of red and you
know it's nineteen eighty nine, just do the man.

Speaker 9 (20:30):
Yeah, you know what time it is. Those are the forest.
But you know who's kind of that's awesome?

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Is that your favorite costume? Ember?

Speaker 9 (20:38):
Yeah, it is because I Raphael.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Even when you were a little bit older.

Speaker 12 (20:42):
Well yeah, but that's that's a doupt that's adult life, Okay, dope,
life is when you get abs and muscles, and you
take your shirt off every Halloween naked.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Some people do, if you know.

Speaker 9 (20:53):
That's why I stopped celebrating. I was letting the devil man.
I'm sorry, man.

Speaker 12 (21:00):
This this was my favorite because I feel like this
was my last Halloween in Detroit before we moved to
Atlanta and did.

Speaker 9 (21:08):
Four years down there.

Speaker 12 (21:09):
I didn't really trigger treat too much Atlanta, and then
you come back by the time I came back figuring
it out, by.

Speaker 9 (21:14):
The time you figured it out, it's over. So this
was it for me.

Speaker 12 (21:16):
Raphael was got teenage muting Ninja, Turtles and probably ThunderCats
and X Men probably my favorite cartoons of all time.

Speaker 9 (21:24):
So it hits.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
I love that man, it's so innocent with his favorite costume.
It's so innocent. It's so different than mine. Kool Aid.
What is your favorite costume you've ever had? As you
bite into it and when I catch it right in the
middle of a bike, go ahead, do the lions have games?

Speaker 8 (21:40):
Forgot you? My favorite costume?

Speaker 13 (21:44):
It's actually I think my favorite one actually as an adult,
and it was Batman. I always wanted a Batman costume
going up. My family never got it for me. Like
growing up I got things like for whatever reason why
one year it was a Latin know why?

Speaker 9 (22:00):
This was like post Christopher Nolan, So this is Christopher
Nolan bad man.

Speaker 13 (22:03):
Okay, yeah, got definitely definitely. It was funny because the
kids helped put it together. They got suits and side,
they got me a mask and everything got the lights
and I was like I love that. Yeah, finally, like
after twenty five years of.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Warning, he felt like a kid again.

Speaker 12 (22:15):
I'm glad you didn't have enough money to go and
get the real tumbler and get the real things, because
then you got in trouble like Diddy.

Speaker 9 (22:22):
You got Joel like Diddy.

Speaker 8 (22:24):
Listen, if I have my family, be like, why is
this in our front yard?

Speaker 9 (22:29):
Who bought one? Is it Joe Burrow?

Speaker 8 (22:32):
Somebody?

Speaker 9 (22:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (22:33):
But he didn't.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
He didn't get it either delivered or he canceled, because
you get right, so he.

Speaker 12 (22:41):
I think twice he got ribbed. And then he got
ribbed for purchasing that batmobile.

Speaker 8 (22:45):
You rib twice?

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Oh I got you, yeah, because he he said that
he didn't he never got it. Yeah, he canceled the
the purchase or something like that. I forget what it was,
but it was right after he was he was robbed
while he was playing on the Monday night. Might got
in here and said, I might not want to do that. Sure,
and you don't want to brag about that. Yeah, somebody's
gonna take it. Ryan, a favorite costume you ever had?

Speaker 9 (23:05):
He doesn't remember.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Oh, that's right, I remember.

Speaker 11 (23:07):
It was like it was last year, two years ago.
It was last year at CMU. I was Bruno Mars.

Speaker 9 (23:13):
I wash, my god, that's a good one.

Speaker 8 (23:15):
Need the pictures now, bro.

Speaker 11 (23:16):
It was the twenty four carrot. I think I have
the short yeah, And I was like, yeah, I have.
That's what I hadn't I don't think I had the change.
I had the hat and the glass.

Speaker 12 (23:28):
You got fifty minutes to provide that picture, and I
went back to six years old Raphael, which is still
floating behind me.

Speaker 9 (23:35):
You have fifty minutes to find that picture.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Can you do me a favorite? Can you put that
up next to the other one? Since I'm not totally
familiar with Okay, I'd really appreciate that.

Speaker 9 (23:44):
Yeah, gotta love.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Yeah. For me. For me, I'm sorry out of my room.
Well I know that. For me, it was I was
at a party at my friend's house and we were
just I think we were still in college and it
was a last minute thing and somebody said, what are
you going to be? I put on long John's, white

(24:08):
long John's, and I took shoe polish and wiped it
all the way down the front and the back, brown
shoe polish. I was a skid mark, That's what I was.

(24:28):
And I can tell you this I went up to
when I walked in. I can't tell you how many
people came up to me. All guys, hey man, I've
seen that before. Hey man, I've seen you before.

Speaker 9 (24:39):
The girls didn't know, no smart, the.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Girls didn't know, and when they did, when they were told,
they found it very disgusting. And I get it, but
I was trying to get creative in a very short
period of time. But I got more comments from that
than I did anything else.

Speaker 9 (24:56):
It makes sense, Yeah, it does make sense.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
And bad looks. A lot of dirty looks, no pun intended.

Speaker 9 (25:02):
With the dirty looks you got me looking for, like
Halloween pictures.

Speaker 11 (25:04):
I know there's more, all right, I found. I gotta work.
I gotta bring in the Bruno Mars photo though.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
And there's the pizza there. Hey. Most people, I sound
like Koli. Hey, most people on Halloween, what do they do?
They order pizzas? Like we used to take the kids
around and when they could fit in little red wagons
and we would drink some beers while they would go
running up and get their treats, and then we'd go home.

(30:43):
And what would we do We get pizzas? Of course, right,

like chasing down costumes on Instagram. That's why Instagram sometimes
is a good thing, all right?

Speaker 1 (31:20):
Right, first, before we got to get our NFL picks in.
Jeffrey Pearce is joining us, so we've got that coming up.
We've got the mail bag, we've got super chats. We've
got a lot to get to. So let's get through
this so we can make sure the people who deserve
to be heard get hurt. Ryan, we asked you prior
to the break. Yeah, you got you and Bruno. Let's

(31:42):
see it and how close it truly is?

Speaker 16 (31:44):
Hey?

Speaker 1 (31:45):
You know what?

Speaker 7 (31:46):
You know what?

Speaker 8 (31:47):
That gets the passing? Great?

Speaker 11 (31:49):
That doesn't look that bad.

Speaker 8 (31:50):
Well done.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Let's let's go over the let's go over this. So
the hat is pretty close. The sunglasses are not broke, Bruno, Yeah,
are you supposed to are you is your finger broken?
Or are you supposed to do with that?

Speaker 11 (32:05):
I tried doing what he was doing.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
Okay, so you weren't close there. The chain. You need
to make a little more money to get more chains, right,
what do you What do we think about the outfit?
It's pretty close, right, it's pretty damn close.

Speaker 9 (32:16):
I think I think it's smooth. We just gotta get
him a watch or.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Something, yeah, or yeah, and a bracelet some rings.

Speaker 9 (32:22):
That's the cool thing about Halloween is costume jury is applicable.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
It is, It would be very applicable. Here, look at
the wonder in the bad I did see that. That's
Ricky Bobby right knights. Yeah, all right, that was a
fun night, though. I'll tell you that you look like
you're at the at the end of it and had
too much fun.

Speaker 11 (32:38):
No, no, no, that's that's the beginning. Yeah, that's the beginning
of the beginning of the night. Yeah, that's like the beginning.

Speaker 9 (32:44):
You know how you know it's the beginning of the night.

Speaker 12 (32:45):
Look just just look at just look at the table
tables dry there's no there's no residue on the table.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
A good point. I thought maybe the waitress was there
wiping it down already and said I want to go home,
get the hell out of here.

Speaker 11 (32:59):
No, that was probably right, you know how like Braylen
leaves sporting events early, I don't get the bars unless
until the deals start on the drinks. That's what I
was probably like right around there, getting there.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Okay, you smell that ecomy. I smell cheapness.

Speaker 11 (33:14):
Hey those two dollars drinks.

Speaker 9 (33:16):
It frugal.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
It's a great, great question. That's a great question. A
great question. It's a cheaper frugal Ryan. Anytimes somebody says,
hey I'm frugal, I've saved my money. Good for you.
All right, that's a passing grade according to Coola.

Speaker 9 (33:32):
Those were the costumes. Well, that was a costume.

Speaker 12 (33:34):
I was a kid that Raphael I sent him to
others and I told you this one I had to
get out of.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
All right, let's hear it two more then, Okay.

Speaker 9 (33:41):
One of them was like, all right, I'm going too far.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
Oh yeah, as a kid. As a kid, oh, this
is an adult.

Speaker 12 (33:49):
More so as an adult. In terms of what we
were having conversations.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
About oh all right, all right, well.

Speaker 11 (33:56):
You want the firefighter one?

Speaker 8 (33:58):
Sure?

Speaker 9 (33:59):
Why not?

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Hey?

Speaker 9 (34:00):
That was that was firefighting.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
Well, that's that's for a calendar. That's for a calendar.

Speaker 9 (34:07):
I went for as a Chippendales this one time.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yeah, that's what I mean. That's a calendar. So I
don't know if that necessarily counts.

Speaker 9 (34:13):
No, but the next one does.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Okay, let's see the next one.

Speaker 11 (34:16):
I don't know if it signed properly yet.

Speaker 12 (34:18):
But once I became Pastor Dab, I said, yeah, all right,
I'm done.

Speaker 9 (34:25):
Pastor. I was like, no, no, no, no more Halloween.

Speaker 8 (34:28):
Just for me.

Speaker 12 (34:28):
Let me get this this this holiday.

Speaker 8 (34:31):
This is when Mama said no more.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
I like the one in the lower corner.

Speaker 12 (34:35):
That's my barber right there. But yeah, this is uh,
this was Pastor Dab. This one the dad was was
was big.

Speaker 16 (34:45):
You know.

Speaker 12 (34:45):
I went to one of those stories, got the nun
roll if you will, and jazz it up a little bit,
put the guns out.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Looks good man. I think that one looks really good.
Appreciate the full beard is is, you know, flexing right there.
That's good stuff.

Speaker 8 (34:58):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Let's get to some super chats, shall we.

Speaker 8 (35:02):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 13 (35:02):
We got a lot of super chats in here today,
and I'm telling you guys, get more super chats in
if you like Top Golf, if you want to be
at an event that is supporting a great cause, you
know Athletes Unlimited, definitely the super chests and get a
chance to win a bay at the Top Golf.

Speaker 8 (35:16):
Outing.

Speaker 12 (35:16):
It's a fun outing tool, and I think so much
is made about it. When people hear charity, when people
here donating, when people hear Athletes Unlimited, the foundations that
you know, you tend to look at it as all,
this is.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
Going to be a game.

Speaker 12 (35:28):
I don't necessarily know it's gonna be stuffy. It's not
what it is like. That's what the outing is for,
that's what it supports.

Speaker 9 (35:35):
But the outing is fine.

Speaker 12 (35:36):
I've been to the last three years in Row like legitimately,
you go, you have a good time for you're drinker.
There's drinks there, there's food. Top Golf actually has pretty
good food. And then the it's Top Golf.

Speaker 9 (35:45):
It's golf.

Speaker 12 (35:45):
It's outside the heated lamps, the whole nine yard and
it's going to be fun. Swinging for seventy five is
what I'll be doing so it's gonna.

Speaker 9 (35:52):
Be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
Yeah. Look, you're so good with your time with those
charity golf outings, and this is no different. You're uh,
you're a big believer in it. So I'm all fortnite.
I'm glad people in the chat are recognizing it too.

Speaker 13 (36:03):
Go ahead, and I was gonna say no, Bray, you
and dmack have supported this calls for a very long time.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
Right, So some more, some more super chats before we
get to our picks.

Speaker 13 (36:11):
Yes, sir, Hey, Randall Small's fired out a super chat
he has process. I'm super bombed. My truck goes into
storage for the winter. Definitely super bombed about that, man.
Hey take it over to Jacks though before you send
it in.

Speaker 9 (36:23):
Yeah, please do. He puts his truck up for the winter.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
Must be a really nice trucker. Usually the trucks come
out into in the winter and you're putting the corvette
under a tarp and in the garage.

Speaker 8 (36:34):
That would confuse me a little bit.

Speaker 9 (36:38):
What is his truck you're talking about?

Speaker 13 (36:39):
And then uh, Freddie fell through on three he's number
two crown in the chat today. He sends in a
pair of two dollars super chats the first one.

Speaker 8 (36:47):
People who pass out pennies should be arrested.

Speaker 13 (36:50):
Thank you, pennies, apples floss two pays, well done, Freddy.
Then he says good and Plenty he bows from Joe Budden.

Speaker 8 (36:59):
Here he says good. Couldn't please taste like a two
pack of car.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Maybe, what do you think licorice? Thumbs up, thumbs down.

Speaker 9 (37:09):
But we're talking black liquor.

Speaker 8 (37:10):
Yeah, yeah, black liquors.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Blacker liquors either black or red.

Speaker 9 (37:14):
Yeah black.

Speaker 12 (37:14):
You can feel that, like you can get rid of
all black liquors in the world right now, that's ever
be given.

Speaker 9 (37:19):
I would never never feel the type of way.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
So so no good in Plenty.

Speaker 11 (37:22):
What if anyone likes them, arrest them too?

Speaker 9 (37:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 11 (37:25):
Good and Plenty sneaky, grab the handcuffs because I like,
you've seriously like black licorice.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
I wouldn't buy bless you, I wouldn't buy it, But
if it was available, I'll have a couple, sure, pink
and white with black liquors. Okay, you know it's great,
mellow cup, hang in there, chocolate.

Speaker 12 (37:46):
You know what's crazy is good and Plenty is oh
my god, every every once in a while, and I'm
talking three four years, like.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
I will eat it buy Yeah, every once in a while,
I will eat.

Speaker 12 (37:55):
Box maybe three four but three four years. It's not
every Halloween, but I will eat it.

Speaker 8 (37:59):
Eat it all.

Speaker 7 (38:00):
Why do this?

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yeah, right, it's that's exactly how I about twizzlers. I
could eat.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
Right.

Speaker 1 (38:09):
Okay?

Speaker 9 (38:10):
Do you cut? Do you cut in a little piece
off each end and uses a straw?

Speaker 1 (38:14):
I have not.

Speaker 9 (38:15):
When I was a kid, I did.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
That's a good idea. I might do that tonight. It
depends on what strawberry milkshake. Okay, so it's not gonna
work for beer, but it work for strawberry milksha it
will Okay.

Speaker 9 (38:26):
Juju fruits I like.

Speaker 11 (38:28):
I don't even know what that is.

Speaker 8 (38:29):
I don't know what that is.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Yellow box yellow gets to your teeth and pull your
molars right out.

Speaker 9 (38:34):
So do you like dots?

Speaker 8 (38:36):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (38:37):
Big time?

Speaker 11 (38:37):
Okay, If I like dots, then I probably would like that.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Yeah, you like juju fruits, They're a little tougher to chew.
But yeah, if seriously, if you have any type of
dental work, it's coming out. It's coming out in a
juju fruit.

Speaker 12 (38:52):
Speaking of that, the I mentioned the Star Wars jelly beans.
That's why I stop eating those. Those like that too.
They're like legitimly the best candy. Yeah, but they mess
your teeth up. So you know, just got you have memories.
Let's experience talking.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
It sounds like a line from the Rocky movies. It
will mess you up, all right, let's get through anything anymore.

Speaker 13 (39:13):
Yeah, look, they're sending the man Michael Werry two down
the Super super Chases anywhere here.

Speaker 8 (39:18):
Didn't like the d C heroes. I love DC.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
My favorite fact d C and women. D C is
different than Marvel Marvel over Marvel can he explained to
me one more time, because Braylan knows this inside now.

Speaker 9 (39:28):
Yeah, yeah, I'm listening to you.

Speaker 8 (39:31):
I was gonna say, I love it. Man, Batman, you know,
wonder Woman, Superman.

Speaker 13 (39:34):
That's like the d C characters iron Man, Justice League,
iron Man, but iron Man you're talking about Marvel Man.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
How does a does Batman d C and iron Man Marvel?
Where Spider Man at Marvel Marvel? Yeah, but we could
have a great quit Aqua Man mar DC's d C.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
D C.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Okay, So I'm not talking about where they live. I'm
just talking about other d C.

Speaker 9 (39:56):
The strongest, Batman, Superman the strongest. But who's the Batman?

Speaker 12 (40:01):
So me growing up, it was it was Marvel. Yeah, Marvel,
because the comic books were better. They were more in
terms of being a kid. It was more imaginative, it
was more fantasy, the colors were it was better. DC's dark.
It was detective comics. Is so I was Marvel.

Speaker 9 (40:19):
And then X Men came out early nineties.

Speaker 12 (40:22):
X Men, you know, so it took over one hundred
so it was Marvel. It was X Men versus Batman.
But when the movie started, see the movie switched because
d C is a better brand in terms of what
the heroes are with the antagging its are with the storylines.

Speaker 9 (40:37):
Are the Joker, the villains.

Speaker 12 (40:39):
D C is a much better storyline, much better comic book. However,
when the movies came out, Marvel had such a jump
like the Russo Brothers and Marvel like they're way ahead
of what DC did. So like if you may have
liked d C, the movies make you hate DC, like
the movie suck, like Outside Outside of which one is
for Nolan's Batman and Outside of the Man of Steel.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Okay, like all DC movies, which one is Halle Berry
as Catwoman. No, which one is it? DC? See? Okay,
well that's that's my favorite thing.

Speaker 9 (41:11):
That movie was horrible, But I'm not mad at.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
I'm not talking about the movie exactly. I really don't
care about the movie.

Speaker 9 (41:17):
I thought you like Sidney to win his haircut.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
Right, Yeah, it just got pretty eyes.

Speaker 8 (41:22):
Go ahead, they say she boked the internet for some reason,
but the haircut.

Speaker 13 (41:28):
Jay Rod Sayers man number three in the chat five
dollars super Chat. He says, well, Dan Campbell see forty
four jump fontest sixty six for total regular fine trip
fonts for total regular season wins by Lions coach by
end of the next season. Twenty seven games to do
it ten this season plus seventeen.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Next Yeah, probably not, probably not by next year? Does
that include playoffs? Regular season? Okay, just regular season. I
don't think he'll do by next year, but he'll be there.
Like he's already their best head coach ever. Yeah, okay,
I'm not talking about Buddy Parker way back in the day.
I don't know, but yeah, I think he's their best
coach super Bowl era. He's their best coach already. I

(42:08):
don't care how many wins and losses he's got it.

Speaker 12 (42:10):
Yeah, Like he's the first coach that if you replace him,
you're replacing an actual.

Speaker 9 (42:13):
Identity versus just right coach.

Speaker 12 (42:15):
Well, we've had a bunch of coaches that have come
and gone and it's been the same thing. If he
were to leave, you're taking the identity.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
Yeah, it's stupid. It's stupid saying we're building something good here,
Steve Mariucci, the bar is high. You know, Marty morning
Wig and I know he had the big talk at
the beginning of his tenure, but you know, with the
knee caps and stuff, that's so far gone now. I mean,
forget about it, right, people, good to Talian movie, forget
about it. He's you know, that's not I don't worry about.

Speaker 12 (42:44):
I'm glad you robbed the Lions coaches. One thing that happened.
Did you listen to Rob sim says when he was
talking about coaches and talking about guys. They all feel
that way about Jim. The only people that don't are
the fans. All the players feel that way.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
Yeah, and it's too bad that the fans don't. I
was fortunate because I got a chance to know him,
not like we sent Christmas cards, but I got to
know him. I liked the man, probably more than the coach,
but I respect both. He was I think it's really
important to be able to get the most out of

(43:16):
your players. Your players at some point have to want
to play for you, and you can tell that they
wanted to play for him. I thought it was a mistake.
I thought it was a mistake that Matt Millan fired
Gary Mueller when he did. I thought it was stupid.
I thought it was stupid that he got rid of
Jeff Harding. So those are two bad mistakes that he
should have them over, besides drafting. But he was a

(43:37):
player and it was one of the things that he
did wrong. I mean that in addition to you know,
drafting a Kika Alama Francis. But you know, Jim Caulbell
should have been kept, should have been kept his head.

Speaker 9 (43:47):
And he said that particular time.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
Yeah, agree, go.

Speaker 13 (43:49):
Ahead, one more, Okay, shout out the smoothie thing again,
rightat this one's for you Ryan. I'm sorry, he says,
does the t move version of Bruno Mars But any.

Speaker 11 (44:03):
Way, I mean, yeah, it's not wrong. He's not wrong.

Speaker 9 (44:06):
He's not wrong, ordered this and got this.

Speaker 11 (44:11):
That's who people thought it won't take it.

Speaker 1 (44:13):
Did people know you?

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Did?

Speaker 1 (44:14):
They say, hey, that's Bruno Mars Okay, well none that works.

Speaker 12 (44:17):
Yeah, the credit I will give Ryan and welling up on,
I will give him a little bit of credit. The
look that he naturally has looked like Bruno Mars. Well,
he didn't have to do a lot to get people
to realize what he was doing.

Speaker 9 (44:29):
I'll give him credit for that.

Speaker 8 (44:30):
Yeah, I give him credit for I have the confidence
to play into.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
Absolutely, I'll trust your guys words.

Speaker 13 (44:37):
And then he finishes, he says in all caps, so
I have to do it justice. It's high school football
playoffs today in Michigan.

Speaker 7 (44:44):
Let's go.

Speaker 9 (44:45):
Oh, we're going to games today too.

Speaker 1 (44:47):
A big deal, man. It's it's building. It's building quickly
toward Ford Field and the state championships. Right, thank you
for all those super chats. Really appreciate it. Let's get
to our NFL picks, and then we've got doctor Jeffrey
Pierce coming in after we hear from our friends Black
Rock and Lady Jeans. But first let's get to the picks.
We all picked Baltimore last night. That was a winner.

Speaker 9 (45:05):
All right, you're ready.

Speaker 1 (45:06):
Chicago is at Cincinnati. I hate rushing through these, but
we have to Chicago trying to bounce back. Braylan Chicago
or Cincinnati Cincinnati, Nati, Okay, Ryan, Chicago. I'm going with Chicago,
all right. So we're split there. I think we're all
taking the Lions, are we not? Yes?

Speaker 9 (45:23):
Okay, wait a minute, I don't know. Jaji mcrathy's going back.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
You can take Minnesota, all right, Minnesota. Caroline is at
green Bay. Come on green Bay? Yeah, Bryce Young? Bryce
Young might not even play, and even if he did,
it wouldn't matter. They could bring back Jake the loan
for crying out Now. Everyone's taking green Bay, right. The
Chargers are at Tennessee. Kool Aid chargers, chargers, same m

(45:50):
Come on, you're not taking Tennessee.

Speaker 9 (45:52):
I don't like the charges of the Chargers.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Okay, Ryan, Atlanta is at New England.

Speaker 9 (45:58):
New England for sure, Atlanta, I look up.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
You're just trying to be different, that's all you're trying
to do. You're taking New England.

Speaker 9 (46:11):
What makes us the New England can keep it going
like this?

Speaker 3 (46:13):
Is?

Speaker 9 (46:14):
This is your one for them?

Speaker 1 (46:15):
Yeah? You believe in their quarterback, you believe in their coach.
You believe in their defense.

Speaker 9 (46:19):
I also believe that Atlanta is a jackal and high team.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Okay, I'm going I promise you on Sunday afternoon in
the chat, I told you New England is coming your way. Okay,
all right, all.

Speaker 9 (46:33):
Right, New England. All right.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
San Francisco's at the Giants. This is an interesting one
because the Giants have played better football, right they've lost Scataboo.
I'm taking San Francisco, Yeah, San.

Speaker 11 (46:48):
Okay, sanfrian in a close one.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
I like that Braylan Indy is at Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh's reel
reeling a little bit with two losses in a row.
Indies won four straight and as you know, seven and
one on the year.

Speaker 12 (47:03):
Su I'm gonna stick with Indy on this one. Like
I want to choose as Stellers. I want them to
come back in the whole nine yards. But they can't
pass the ball to wide receivers.

Speaker 1 (47:12):
They can they don't go down field very often.

Speaker 12 (47:14):
They can't get the ball to DK. They won't go
down to the field. They can't get the ball to Austin.
They can't get the ball like they're legitimly passed the ball.

Speaker 9 (47:20):
To tight ends.

Speaker 12 (47:21):
And hoping that Jalen Warren does something for himself. I'll
stick with Indy.

Speaker 1 (47:25):
Kool Aid.

Speaker 11 (47:26):
Oh, Indy, I'm telling Pittsburgh. I think a letdown spot
for the Colts.

Speaker 9 (47:30):
I'm not mad at that.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
A letdown spot because because they've won four in a
row is what you're saying.

Speaker 11 (47:35):
Yeah, got and I think Jonathan Taylor had like three
touchdowns last game. So letdown spot.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
Yeah, I'm not a huge believer in letdowns at the
NFL level. I think you know, there's there's teams Falcons there. Yeah,
there's a letdown. Yeah, there's well, there's teams. I mean,
I think most most NFL teams are right here, and
then there's a few here, and then there's a few there,
and most are like right in here. I think Indy's
up here. I think Pittsburgh's in the middle. So I

(48:01):
think that's possible for sure. But after watching what green
Bay did to them last week, knowing that Indy's lines
are both better that I think than green Bay's. That's
not the defensive line, but the offensive, I'm gonna take
the Colts. Denver Is at Houston kool Aid.

Speaker 8 (48:17):
I'm gonna go with the Broncos.

Speaker 11 (48:18):
Okay, right, the Broncos will get it done.

Speaker 1 (48:20):
Okay, I'm going with the Texans. I'm going with the Texans.
It's a it's a must win for them. Ryan Jacksonville
is at the Raiders.

Speaker 11 (48:29):
Jacksonville ugly game. Will not watch, but Jacksonville.

Speaker 1 (48:32):
Uh, this is upset alert right here. I really believe
that Jacksonville is given two and a half. I'm taking
the Raiders in this game, Brayln.

Speaker 9 (48:42):
I just can't trust Gino Smith. Who am I putting
my faith in?

Speaker 1 (48:49):
By the way, they're they're playing Lawrence and Jacksonville. So
Trevor Lawrence, you've said, okay, okay, all right, Kool Aid Raiders,
all right?

Speaker 7 (49:03):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (49:03):
New Orleans is at the Rams. I'm taking the Rams.
They're one of the best teams in football.

Speaker 9 (49:08):
Rams, I think, yeah, easy.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
Right, Kool Aid Rams. Okay, yep, okay, we've got a
few more ready. Kansas City is at Buffalo.

Speaker 9 (49:19):
Braylan, I get to go first on this one, ye
casey hmm.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
Impressive. You see Patrick mahomes numbers over the last four games,
five games, unbelievable.

Speaker 8 (49:32):
For some reason, I'm leaning the Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (49:34):
Okay, I'm gonna take Buffalo.

Speaker 11 (49:36):
It always seems like when they beat the Chiefs, that's
in the regular season. So I'll go Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (49:40):
I'm taking I'm taking the Bills too, I am. I'm
gonna take the Bills.

Speaker 12 (49:43):
Until the Bills, until the Bills have a Number one
where I receiver. There's nothing the Bills can offer me.

Speaker 11 (49:49):
They being the Chiefs in the regular season before.

Speaker 9 (49:50):
Yeah, and it has to find Diggs back then, right.

Speaker 11 (49:52):
I think they get done.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Seattle's at Washington kool aid jayde Daniels comes back.

Speaker 8 (50:01):
I'm gonna go to Washington. Okay, I've been both this
on Seattle all year, though.

Speaker 11 (50:05):
I'll take Seattle. Game you field goal.

Speaker 1 (50:08):
I like Seattle's defense. I'm gonna go Seahawk.

Speaker 12 (50:10):
Give me Seattle because didn't what was the name just
reinjured himself again? Was deebo or was it Terry McLaurin.
It is Terry McLaurin.

Speaker 9 (50:16):
He injured his handy again. Give me give me Seattle.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
Yeah, good point.

Speaker 8 (50:20):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
The Monday night match up, Arizona is at Dallas Ryan Dallas,
Arizona stinks their coach is gonna be gone and their
quarterback might be gone. I'll take Dallas.

Speaker 9 (50:31):
Is Kyler starting or is it still Jacobysseatt.

Speaker 1 (50:34):
I think it's gonna be Kyler Murray. I don't know
that for a fact. We'll ask doctor Pierce when he
comes to defense. Yeah, they are trash.

Speaker 9 (50:42):
I'll go with to cowboys, but you're.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
It's it's a it's an iffy want.

Speaker 11 (50:45):
They put up points at home.

Speaker 9 (50:47):
That's true when Cardinals can't necessarily score. So yeah, give
me Dallas.

Speaker 1 (50:50):
Yeah, Cardinals have all kinds of issues, no doubt. Dallas
puts up points no matter what. By the way, that
the top three scoring teams in the NFL, Dallas, Indy, Indy, Dallas, Detroit. Okay,
Dallas put up thirty four last week they lost forty
four thirty four kool aid.

Speaker 8 (51:06):
Who do you got reluctantly Dallas.

Speaker 1 (51:08):
Okay, it's all a reluctance. Yeah, same here. I mean
we all feel the exact same way. All right. Doctor
Pearce is in the house. He's gonna join us. We've
got some questions for him about injuries, just like you do.
But first, this from some really good food and good apps.

Speaker 8 (59:15):
It's oh gosh, I'm already Okay, that's the wrong thing.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
That's all right, You're okay. Pickaball, same thing, doctor, you
play pickaball. You seem like a pickleball guy.

Speaker 19 (59:25):
You know they taken care of Huh.

Speaker 9 (59:28):
I said, that's fair. I don't think he did, but
he does seem.

Speaker 8 (59:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (59:32):
Do you play?

Speaker 1 (59:33):
I play it?

Speaker 7 (59:34):
Yes?

Speaker 9 (59:34):
I do.

Speaker 19 (59:35):
Yes, I I'm I an expert. No.

Speaker 9 (59:38):
We uh.

Speaker 19 (59:39):
You know a lot of the Red Wing guys play
and respectfully. They respect me, and I've had some of
their friends come and be treated. So one of them
was the one of the top female players in the state,
and the goal was if I fixed her back, she
teach me to play and I'd be out there. So,
needless to say, she was up and playing with him
five weeks and I've gone out and trained with her once.

(01:00:04):
So that's about right.

Speaker 8 (01:00:05):
That's about what.

Speaker 19 (01:00:06):
Look, pick a ball is huge. We can talk about
pickaball a lot. I mean the injuries. Actually, the big
stat is Medicare is complaining because the muscle skeletal injuries
for Medicare has gone up like forty two percent because
of pickleball.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Wow.

Speaker 19 (01:00:21):
And now it's a younger sport. I had my first
bad injury. It was a hockey player played Triple A
playing against his buddy who made it into the NHL,
screwing around playing pick a ball, and our player who
played Triple A tore complete terrace ac oh Man.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
So my friends, I wouldn't have guessed that about pick
a ball. I don't you don't have to move much.

Speaker 8 (01:00:42):
Oh you do.

Speaker 19 (01:00:43):
It's not it's not a big court, you do, but
that's quick movement. And if you play, if you play
one on one, like if you play, oh on two, yeah, yeah,
two on two. But you know these are like NHL
hockey guys, they.

Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
Want Well that's also because you're you're a bullhog. You
want to get to every bowl. Yeah, every bar, running
at all.

Speaker 9 (01:01:01):
I was yesterday we talked about that.

Speaker 12 (01:01:02):
I refuse to play pickle ball because I know how
that side to side, that dynamic movement you think that.

Speaker 9 (01:01:07):
You still have, Like, oh, I'm gonna go there.

Speaker 12 (01:01:08):
Guess what, Achilles gone.

Speaker 9 (01:01:11):
I don't want any smoke.

Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
I feel hip gone back gone for everything for me.
All right, let's get to some of the injuries real quick.

Speaker 8 (01:01:18):
We can go deep on pickleball.

Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
Michael Malcolm Rodriguez is back the lines. That's good. He
had a knee issue. What's the tentative push from a
guy like that when you're trying to come back for
the first time in a long time off a knee injury.

Speaker 19 (01:01:35):
I mean, look the way McNeil came back. You know
they're prepping, right, We're not pushing. What's nice is that
the Lions have depth, so we're not pushing. So when
these guys come back, like I even called myself out
last week that McNeil I thought would be two to
three games and he came out fire. You know, we're
we're a mature group from a player standpoint, but also

(01:01:58):
from a clinical trainings standpoint. I think he's gonna come
back probably eighty percent where he needs to start feeling it.

Speaker 8 (01:02:06):
And then that.

Speaker 19 (01:02:06):
Like we've talked a lot with Braylan, you got to
take that first hit, you got to make that first cut.
You got to test that need no matter what, even
if you're going in practice one hundred percent and you're
coming back with you know, in the game, practice is
in game, right, practice is practice cornda iris and so
it's true, but they need to feed that I'm in

(01:02:29):
the game. I got friendlies hitting me in scrimmage. I
got people that want to take me apart when we're
playing a real game. So once you get through that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
So easy, I manage what you're saying.

Speaker 19 (01:02:40):
But he's going to ease himself in right, he's gonna be.
He's not gonna be. So you know the other thing
is should be so soft unprotected, or you're too cautious,
or you're not in there. So there's that in between
mental that I'm playing. You know, you need a few
snaps and get in there.

Speaker 9 (01:02:56):
And that's the thing too.

Speaker 12 (01:02:57):
You know Dok talks about, you know, the difference between
practic this in the game and just you know, my
interpretation is in practice, there's control. In practice, your control
of the whole situation. The defense knows hey not to
go too hard. You know, I don't want to push
you too hard. Doc knows everybody is on page with
the control of the situation. When you get in the game,

(01:03:18):
there is no control your You're just one. They're not
taking the life. You're reacting in a way like shoot
you you can't. Hey, I'm mna just gingerly do this now.
When you're in the game, you have to go. So
that's more so the difference in being healthy and figuring
it out. There's control in practice, there's not in a game.

Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
I wonder if it helps him because he's more of
a special teams guy. He won't be starting instead of
Jack Campbell or Angeloni. Will see that progresses up, Yeah,
he'll get so many fantasy football players are all over
you know. Kyler Murray, he's coming back in all likelihood
Monday night. He's been dealing with a Liz Frank issue
as a quarterback. What's the danger there and how how

(01:03:58):
tentative can that be?

Speaker 19 (01:04:00):
I mean, it's your foot. I mean, like we talked
about we talked about the injury the Giants running back.
I mean, foot injuries are difficult, right and calmer. He's
a mobile quarterback, so when mobile quarterbacks are like that, Yeah,
we can tape it up, we can secret sauce that,
we can do all that, but it's that pressure. So
if he has a true fracture, which I think is

(01:04:21):
a partial fracture, you know it's it's a bone, it's
on the outside of your foot. So you're very concerned
on the push off. Is he gonna run more on
the inside his foot. Is he gonna have something padded
up inside his shoe to kind of throw him off
a little bit. He's gonna be a little bit out
of rhythm. But I again, col I mean, he's not

(01:04:41):
one to play through major injuries.

Speaker 9 (01:04:43):
He's not.

Speaker 19 (01:04:44):
I don't see him as one of those guys. I
don't know about you guys, but it seems like if
he feels something's out right, he's not going one hundred percent.
So I think it's gonna be a game time. See
how he's pushing off, See what he's doing. But you know,
he's being chased in the pocket, or he's gonna he
may throw that ball a little bit quicker away, he

(01:05:04):
may get you know, he's not gonna go for that
extra few yards like he normally does. I think just
sit back he's not a pocket guy, right, he's a
mobile guy.

Speaker 12 (01:05:14):
I always feel bad, like, you know, you have the
shorter quarterbacks and when they're young, when they're injury free.
Russell Wilson at the beginning, Baker Mayfield now at the beginning,
Drew Brees at the beginning, Kyler Murray's first two years,
especially in the second year for him. They're fast, they're explosive,
they can get out the pocket. They have the big arm,
the baseball arm. They can do all the things and

(01:05:35):
the works in their favor. That's what happens when you win.
Higres some trophies in that. But once you start having
those injuries start piling up and you're not able to
get out of pocket as much, and you can't see
as much.

Speaker 9 (01:05:44):
Now you're not as fast like you see the fall.

Speaker 12 (01:05:47):
Drew Brees and Doug Flutie are like outliers when it
comes to that space. Russell Wilson like, even though he
has a Hall of Fame ish career, you shot fast.

Speaker 9 (01:05:56):
That thing came off the rails with a lot of injuries,
ankle injury, things that nature.

Speaker 12 (01:06:00):
So that's the one thing when drafting a short quarterback,
no disrespect, it's if they get hurt, it's coming like
it's coming, because the thing that gets them in the
game is they can get out the pocket, they can.

Speaker 9 (01:06:11):
Roll over here, and they can do all the fun stuff.

Speaker 12 (01:06:13):
But what happens when at four to four becomes four
to six and now you're hampered by injuries that you
may have occurred year one, year three, or four.

Speaker 9 (01:06:20):
Now it looks different.

Speaker 19 (01:06:21):
The reaction times are huge. I mean what he's I
definitely agree. I'm not picking any short people today. But
you know, it's just you have more tools, right, But
a lot of times a quarterback that's missing certain aspects
are making it up elsewhere. And usually a short cardback
is speed, agility and thought in the in the smarts

(01:06:42):
of the games, Drew Brees is one of the smartest
guys to.

Speaker 8 (01:06:45):
Play the game, right.

Speaker 19 (01:06:46):
I mean, that's how he got Russell Wilson had some smarts,
but not you know, he wasn't like a professor Kyle Murray.
He's still figuring it out where I don't think he's
he's actually been able to figure it out if he
asks me.

Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
The Taylor Decker shoulder injury rotator cuff. I believe whether
he plays or not, I mean, how does that affect
one's ability to punch as an offensive lineman.

Speaker 19 (01:07:10):
Do you think to punch un Yeah, yeah, no, I
thought you were trying to be funny. Yeah, I mean
basically again, Decker and I think even Campbell said something,
we're gonna take it. We're gonna take our time, give
him their due rest. I mean, they got that extra
week off, that's huge, and these guys want to play,

(01:07:32):
they want to be out there on the line and say,
you know, you got to kind of hold them back.
And that comes from education from the medical team and
the trainers. You got to tell us you look good,
you look fit, you're doing everything you did in practice.
When you get in a game, there's another aspect. Like
with Decker, when he's in practice, he knows it's easy.

(01:07:52):
When he goes into the game, there's a different level
of adrenaline there, and he's that type of player where
he's going to see that he's going to play above
that injury. Right like right now, those guys just the
game makes them everything right. When you when you're in
the locker room, there's guys that kind of yeah, we're
gonna get to the game. And then there's guys that
are like beating on each other, putting their head in

(01:08:14):
the wall and things like that. Decker is one of
those guys.

Speaker 12 (01:08:19):
That's for right when in Washington. Yeah, gave himself a
neck Induason.

Speaker 19 (01:08:24):
Yeah, I mean it's he. Decker I think is one
of those. There's an extra adrenaline rush where he gets
through his his injuries with that and he'll worry about
it after the game.

Speaker 9 (01:08:35):
Before we go.

Speaker 12 (01:08:36):
Look, I want to get you a chance to talk
about athletes on limit. I'm excited for the event next week,
excited we got we got a lot of injuries and
debate that you're giving away. Talk about the event, because
I think so much is made when the people hear donations,
when they hit charity and foundation, they think it's some slow,
boring event.

Speaker 9 (01:08:52):
I'm trying to tell them and it's not that at all.
Talk about how much one we.

Speaker 19 (01:08:55):
Have, Well the actual event, I mean it's we've been
doing a golf outing for up to thirty six holes.
We've had two hundred and fifty people and it's just
it's great. I mean, I'm you know, obviously I've been
involved for the twenty nine years that it's been around,
but top golf gives a different aspect. You don't have
to be a major golfer. You're there for fun. Yeah

(01:09:16):
there's a little ball being hit with a club, but
there is just the whole team. And what's nice about
top golf where we have the whole floor so it's
all of us and then all of our athletes get
to come through. So like, I think your big surprise
was the first time you came is meeting all the athletes.
You know, the wheelchairs are there, the sleds are there.

(01:09:37):
I just it just gives you a different sensation that
I can't put in words of what you're feeling there.
I mean you're seeing like, oh, you hit a bad
shot and you got this guy in a wheelchairs smiling,
going crazy. I mean, you have young people And.

Speaker 12 (01:09:57):
The first time when I got a chance to talk
to Laddie, I've been in a couple of rooms with Laddie,
but you know, you want to respect his space spake
this time, everybody's trying to get a little moment with him.
So I never approached him and never went up to him.
I just remember being able to be in that space
to talk to you say, yeah, talk to him, Hey,
bring me over there and I was able to mention
to him. I said, I heard you pretty good at Uno,
and when I got a smile, Oh, it made my night.

Speaker 9 (01:10:21):
Man, it made my that month, really that year.

Speaker 19 (01:10:23):
Yeah, you know, the Uno part with Laddie was my
There's usually a point where I break down everything. So
I'm this tough guy, but at our charity events probably
the time I lose my control emotionally. But no, you
know from the Uno thing what you're talking about. So
it's Vladimir Konstantino. If everybody knows the Red Wings major defenseman.

(01:10:46):
He had the brain injury, he had a lot of injuries.
We've been doing giving away a scholarship for him for
almost since the injury. So I don't want to talk
about the years and all that, but basically for him
to be playing Uno and the troll people he just saw,
like even Bryan, He's just playing cards from a mental standpoint.
What that is from a cognitive from you know how

(01:11:07):
I talk side to side, right side, left side, brain working.
That's such a high level. And he's quick because there
was a speed to him too, and he challenged everybody.
I don't think he lost one round. I mean so
it's it's the colors, it's a change, it's the understanding.
So the cognition from what he came from from when
we treated him right after the injury to now was

(01:11:30):
just amazing. So you know, it just puts life in perspective.
And I think at the talk I didn't mention that
because people got like, oh, lad, he's playing cards with
pretty women, in which he loves to do. But it
was the with the rehab, the therapy, the doctor behind
me explaining the cognitive the dexterity, the movement. This guy
couldn't grip a fork or a knife or anything, and

(01:11:52):
now he's dealing with cards at a fast paced and
you know, it's like unbelievable. And that's what I do
with science too, that oh, what you're going to be
a year out is what you're gonna be. We don't
believe that anymore. There's a lot of we talk about
secret sauce, we talk about biologics, but there's a lot
of stuff coming out with everything we're doing that's helping

(01:12:13):
at the cognitive level also, So that's exciting. But you know,
I Vladdie's there is one of our highlights, but we
also have Olympic stars. We have young kids coming up,
we have chair wheelchairs that are there limitations like we
you know, athletes and limits. Really, life isn't meant to
be a spectator sport. We mean that. We mean that

(01:12:33):
because of that injury. We don't want cost of a
chair or anything else to be their limiting factors. And
there's a lot of training.

Speaker 1 (01:12:40):
Yeah, it's such a great cause. You have done such
a wonderful job of championing that club, that cause Athletes
Unlimited dot com. If you want to get involved, I
know Brainlan will be there. It's gonna be awesome. Congratulations
