Speaker 5 (01:56):
What's up, kool Aid?
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Hey? What up? Though?
Speaker 9 (01:58):
Man?
Speaker 10 (01:59):

Look, man, I got my rankings on the NFC AFC
as I currently standing. We'll talk about the keys to
the victory for the Detroit Lions. We'll get into that.
You know, I'm not necessarily off the Lions bandwagon, but
we will spread some truth here today. But before we
getting all the football stuff and everybody with you guys
are waiting on, let's just talk about life.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Man.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
How you doing?
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Man?
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Why are you excited for this weekend? And it can't
be Detroit Lions related.
Speaker 8 (02:30):
I'm just excited over your shirt, all right.
Speaker 7 (02:34):
Appreciate that the shirt's crushing it.
Speaker 8 (02:36):
I should have had Lions on it because it's rocking
the Honolulu blue kind of but that old school Oilers. Man,
I'm not mad at.
Speaker 6 (02:42):
You know, the love You're blue as they say back
in Houston. But you know it is respect to my
father who played for the Houston Oilers. He gave me
the shirt shout Dad, love you, and he also played
for the Detroit Lions. So it's kind of a Detroit
Lions deal by extension.
Speaker 8 (02:57):
If you will put a little patch on the shoulder,
you know it'll be good. But this weekend, I am
looking forward to more days of summer. We got about
ten in a row. It looks look so high seventies,
low eighties. Man, good for Lions games, good for anything.
Good for Tigers games. Let's go.
Speaker 5 (03:13):
I can see the verdiction, I can see the force saving.
There will be some sun Cruise in future.
Speaker 8 (03:18):
I'm not gonna lie like I probably should have led
with that. I am excited to get more sun Cruisers
in my system. I quit drinking like about eight years ago,
for five and a half years straight.
Speaker 5 (03:27):
This is the fact.
Speaker 8 (03:29):
Yeah, last two and a half years. I'll dabble here
and there, as you've seen on the postgame. But I
had some of these for the first time over at
Second Best, which we will be back at for the
pregame and then of course Gillies for the watch party
in the post game. But young Brendan got me to
crack one, and I gotta say I love the fact
that there's no bubbles. I really love that it's super light.
(03:50):
There's they're dangerous though, break because you just can't even
touch the tasty alcohol in them. So yes, I'm excited
for the weather, and I think Sunday Sun Cruiser has
me excited as.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
Well, well, just like till our viewers drink responsible.
Speaker 6 (04:02):
That's right, guys, Ryan, what you decided for it for
the weekend and you can actually say the game if
you want to.
Speaker 5 (04:06):
I'm perfectly fine with that.
Speaker 9 (04:08):
I'm just excited for tomorrow. You know, last Saturday we
worked at the Michigan Oklahoma live stream, then the Lions
game on Sunday. But you know, get to let loose
a little bit. Tomorrow I'll be on the Michigan golf course.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
Oh okay, well now wait, wait, wait, wait, what does
letting loose look like? For young Ryan? A graduate of
Central Michigan University a golf course, I gotta warn you
gets a little crazy.
Speaker 9 (04:33):
I yet to figure out what college graduate let loose.
I know what CMU student let loose Ryan looks like yellow,
but I haven't seen college graduate let loose yet, So
I'll be down there. I've been the golf course with
my CMU buddies and my family, so I'll let you
know on Monday what college graduate let loose Ryan is?
Speaker 3 (04:50):
All right?
Speaker 6 (04:51):
I hope the internet won't let me know because we
still got employd cut up too much, kool a.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
What you got going on this weekend?
Speaker 4 (04:59):
Saturday is very sacred for you?
Speaker 5 (05:01):
But what's on your agenda this week?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (05:03):
Definitely man outside of the family, time, outside of make
sure we get into the church and everything Lions, like, Hey,
all the time, bro, Lions, Lions, Lions, Man, I'm already
pumped up for this.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
I want them to go and destroy uh mister Benedict
Arnold himself. But that's what it is. And you know what,
it's cool too, because my kids.
Speaker 10 (05:22):
Man, it's it's cool to see my oldest kid kool
aid shout out to Anton who has helped his car
collection grow and grow, and JB.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Smooth and others.
Speaker 9 (05:30):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (05:30):
It's fun getting to see these games with him and
to see his passion and everything. It's reignited something even
more than I thought. So I'm looking forward to that now,
forging new memories with the same old team, not the
same old Lions, but my Lions, mister Anson, will, I'm.
Speaker 8 (05:47):
Looking forward to it. Man, Why y'all look at me? Hey, listen,
I'm not worried. You know, why break because catfish is
on the menu there, that's right, threaded deep frieda. I
don't care how you prepare it. Catfish is on the
menu this weekend, gentlemen.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 6 (06:08):
And we will get into the Detroit Lions going against
Chicago Bears this week games almost here. It's a big
weekend it's a big game for the Lions, and you've
heard Dan Campbell say himself, we're gonna win because we must.
Before we get into that my weekend, I'm just excited
for you to spend some time family, excited to get
up ann Arbor as always. But Grandma's birthday at black Rock, Man,
(06:30):
family mixed with business. It's gonna be a great time.
And I love going to black Rock. That's why we
bought them to you. They are a great partnership and
the food is good, it's amazing. So it's gonna be fun. Man,
Grandma you ready, thirteen people deep, we're gonna have to hey,
Heppy by today y'all Earl birthday to Grandma Mary, Happy birthday,
Happy early birth. I appreciate you yesterday. Let's get into
(06:52):
it a little bit. Green Bay Packers Washington and Commanders.
Another dominant performance by the Green Bay Packers as they
win to the tune of twenty eight to nineteen was
a final scorer.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
I believe in the game. Anson.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
I come to you first. You know, I've been trying
to have this conversation that green Bay may be a
little bit better than people. Let on a little bit
better than people. May think the addition to Michael Parsons
and what he's able to kind of elevate that defense.
Speaker 5 (07:17):
It seems like they are a for real team.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
They beat two teams that are two of the seven
that most people have peg to be in the NFC
picture as it released to the Detroit Lions last week
and now the Washington Commanders, and they were able to
corral Jade Dames, your guy from last year, the Cyborg,
able to corral him and not have them look as
comfortable as he has in the past. What did you
see in last night's game with the Green Bay Packers
(07:40):
and Washington Commanders.
Speaker 8 (07:41):
Well, if you guys have caught fantasy jerks, we're working
with an analytic company that's employed by the Vikings, the Packers,
and the Bears. They provide amazing analytics and they have
had the Packers as a top five defense all offseason.
They push them to number one, firmly number one defense
in the NFL after the acquisition of Micah Parsons, and
(08:03):
we've seen it. You see, they already had some guys
on that line that could get to the quarterback and
now none of them are getting double teamed because that
all that attention is going over to Micah, and I
think you know, there was so much trash being thrown
on Micah the last couple of years, whether it was
deserved or not, and I think that a lot of
(08:25):
that clouded his ability and his production because when you
look at what this guy's done, every single year, he's
had double digit sacks, and now you take it to
a new team where he's excited to play for them.
He loves being a packer and at this point, now
you've got a defense that was already tremendous, you add
(08:46):
him in there and they're dynamic now. And it caused
lots of problems for Lions, caused lots of problems for
the Washington comedies last night, And I just saw the Commies,
who did look great for Week one but still got
to win, look really out of sorts, the same way
the Lions looked out of shorts. So I'm wondering how
(09:07):
much the Lions offense was really bad in Week one
versus how much the Green Bay Packers defense is really
that damn good.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
Yeah, that's a fair question, and we'll get into that
because I actually have some something along those Lions to
explain that. But that's a great observation by you. Ye's
Green Bay Packers team. Man, they're bringing it on.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (09:24):
I think early on in the season you expected Jordan
Love to kind of be the catalyst for the Green Bay.
It was the Packers can go as far as Jordan
Love's arm is gonna go. Well, now to a defense
that's already good, already a top seven defense. Last year
you had Michael Parsons, and now.
Speaker 5 (09:40):
You elevate the level of play and soon they gave
up fifty.
Speaker 6 (09:43):
One yards last night in the rush, like the Washingt
Commanders were six four nineteen on third and fourth down.
They had four sacks against the Packers, four sackers against
the Lions. Michael Parsons last night another another another really
good performance. It's the energy level that's there for me,
like watching those guys. They're all flying around. Every time
(10:04):
you see someone get tackled for wearing a commander's uniform
last night, six five seven. I don't know why I
went out of order, but five six seven Green Bay
Packers uniforms around that player.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
You see the hats around there.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
Those guys are flying around, and also you're starting to
see other players up their game.
Speaker 8 (10:22):
John Gary Cooper, what Hickson?
Speaker 5 (10:27):
How good the Knicks to Hickson?
Speaker 9 (10:28):
Look?
Speaker 5 (10:28):
How good did he get fast?
Speaker 6 (10:30):
He had five pass breakups last night, he had two tackles,
just elevated his level of play. You're seeing a green
Bay defense kool aid that seems to be playing inspired
and by them playing like that makes it a little
bit easier for Jordan Love and Matlafulla's.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
Offense, you know what, man, And for me, that's been
the thing.
Speaker 10 (10:48):
I've wondered what this team would be and if Jordan
Love would be able to meet and rise to the occasion,
because everybody's been telling me how great of a quarterback
is and that he's supposed to be his top five,
top six tops and type guy, and I just haven't
seen it. The Lions have risen while the expectations have
been placed at his feet. But now you see that
defense get a little bit better. And you've continued to
(11:09):
say the key to green Bay package right now is
the fact that their defense is their key and that
pressure has gone down just a little bit on Jordan Love.
Speaker 4 (11:17):
And I believe that through these first two games. You know,
we talked about this before.
Speaker 10 (11:21):
I believe that he has the best two wins in
all of the NFL to start this early season, and
he's done it looking really, really good. I thought it
was a little bit pedestrian at first against the Lions
because you look at the overall numbers, but you look
at when the game was in doubt, when the game
was being decided, That's when he got his numbers. Then
you look at it the next week every single time.
(11:41):
First they got their lead, right pat at their lead
every single time the Commander score. What the Packers do
made it look easy right down the field. Man, it's
this is a team, like Mas was saying, it's starting
to look like they're winning in the ways that we've
seen our Detroit Lions do this thing in the past.
Too it together the way you've predicted already.
Speaker 6 (12:01):
Yeah, they're putting it together one hundred percent. I think
we'll talk about the NFC ranking and where I have them.
They're putting it together. Defenses leading them right now. When
the defense is leading, it makes it a lot easier
for the offense, you know, Michael Parson's we talk about that.
But just watching them in the secondary fly around, like
they were locking deebo up, they were locking Terry McLaurin up.
(12:22):
These are two receivers that in the last three years
at some point I've been in the top ten, in
the top seven in terms of what whyever he was
are and they just cannot get opened.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
Last night, kudos to that defense man.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
But watching the excitement run around them talking about the
Washington Commanders Jaydon Dames last night, Cliff Kingsbury, what does
it look like for them, Because we'll get into the
lines in a minute, But for the Washington Commanders first
two weeks it hasn't necessarily looked like we thought last
year looked.
Speaker 8 (12:49):
For Jane Days, Yeah, you're right. In Week one it
was because Cherry McLaurin had been out throughout the preciation.
He had just gotten back into the fall a week
before the game, obviously signed his extent, and he was
the catalyst for that offense last year. Scared he didn't
see him at all. Really, I think he had two
catches Week one. What the big deal for me was
(13:10):
and everybody slept on this and they just thought that
he was washed. To me, Deebo was the perfect addition
to that team, and they schemed.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Him touchdown seven catches, seventy seven yards, receiving.
Speaker 8 (13:23):
Week one, and he was fantastic, but the way they
used him specific you know, getting end a rounds and
screen passes for him. Where was that last night? You
know you got McLaurin back. He was involved latmore. I
believe he went six for fifty four something around there,
and he was active. But all of a sudden, Deebo
takes a back seat and you stop scheming for the
(13:45):
guy that got you over the top in week one.
So what does it look like for the Washington Comedies
offense this week while they get ready for Week three?
They have to go back to what they schemed when
they didn't have McLaurin there. They signed Deebo for a reason.
Now they lose Austin Eckler, which I think is a
blow to them. He's that consistent, experienced guy that can
(14:09):
handle all three aspects of the run game. But I
don't really know what the thing that they dial up is.
Is it mclauren. I don't think that is. I think
that McLaurin will get his overtime. They have to put
the ball through Deebo's hands because otherwise the running game
is not going to save him. I know everybody's excited
(14:30):
about Bill. But unless Jaden McDaniels or Jaden Danils excuse me,
has those downfield targets but also the short targets outside
of Zach Er, it's nothing worked yesterday.
Speaker 6 (14:41):
See, I can tell you what the issue is, and
I can tell you how you helped that. It's Jeff
Hafley and when he's doing with the defense for the
Green Bay Packers. That's the defensive coordinator for the package.
He's done it two weeks in a row. Because the
Detroit Lions looked the same, Like the Detroit Lions couldn't
get anything going because he was sending the hot they
were going four four down and still able to get there.
Michael Parson's call into some confusion. But now you go
(15:01):
to week two, what do they do? You see guys
take steps up. They've drafted a lot of first round
defensive players over the past five seasons, and now you
add Micah and now you ad Jeff Haffley.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
Now they're figuring some things out. They look the part.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
Guys that have been there for four years are starting
to take those next steps like Vaness Lucas Vness, he
looked good the last two weeks. Man so it's they're
rising the ships up, man, Like, what is it? The
rising tide waves all ships. Yeah, and that's what's happening
right now. Like he's come to that team and he's reinvigorated.
Just watching through the TV, it it feels like ninety six.
(15:36):
It feels like I am talking about Aaron Rodgers in
that Green Bay. It feels like when Brett Farb and
Reggie White were the excitement through the TV.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
At least, I'm not saying that's how.
Speaker 8 (15:44):
You're right, And they wouldn't have had that without the
Micah trade. Right, without the Micah trade. They know that
they are trailing the Detroit Lions. Lambeau Field is not
as loud as it is. I don't know if you
called aman RAS's podcast, he talked about all the problems
that the loud crowd at Lambeald cause for that offense.
I think we saw that again last night. But again
(16:06):
that is on the heels of signing Micah Parsons or
training and then signing Micah Parsons and then you beat
the two time defending division champs. You knew that stadium
was going to be rocking. So they have absolutely everything
in their favor. I think that Micah has inspired every
guy on that defense. And to kool Aid's great point, oh,
(16:30):
how much pressure's been taken off of Jordan Love at
this point, that whole team, their fan base. I'm not
saying that they're gonna relax, but they get to take
a deep breat because, like he said, kool Aid said,
they've got the two best wins in the books in
the NFL right now. Their team looks tight, defense looks scary.
(16:51):
It's going to come down to Jordan Love, though, at
the end of this year. As good as that defense is,
he has to get his his wide receivers healthy. Probably
lost j Read for the season. I don't care if
they're saying eight weeks Coyler bone for wide receivers bad news.
But they will get Christian back and at that point,
if they can stay healthy on the offensive side, they
are going to be a real problem in the NFC.
(17:13):
And I'm looking forward to seeing where you have them
in your rankings.
Speaker 6 (17:16):
Yeah, you gotta give some credit to Brandon gouten Kiss
as the GM for the Green Bay Packers. At the
end of the last season, when he lost the way
they did in the playoffs, he said, this will get corrected.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
He said, we will make some major changes. We will
do the things.
Speaker 6 (17:27):
What is one of the big things that Green Bay
has been lobbying for and asking for for all these years,
for these quarterbacks they have, Can you draft the first
round wide receiver? What did you do this year? He
drafts Matthew golds in the first round wide receiver. What
does he do before the season starts. He doubles down,
He goes out and gets Michael Parsons and gives away
the middle. He says, look, we're ready. Now, you got
to give that GM. If we're gonna give Brad Holmes
(17:47):
credit here, I guess Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin they're
doing the same for Brad goutonkis because those are some
major moves, some major issues that he addressed, and he
went after it. And it's paying dividends in two games
to the season.
Speaker 8 (17:58):
Yeah, and you know our regime, they had a far
more uphill climb to get this franchise to where they are.
And I think that the Packers needed to just readjust
we had a company.
Speaker 5 (18:09):
They did, We did two things that they had never
I was.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
Detegrating them by any means, but the fact that that
franchise has been so good for so many decades. They
just had to They just had to realize, Hey, there's
a new bully on the block. They're wearing Honolulu blue.
How do we adjust to be able to keep up
with them? And so it was just adjustments. What the
Lions are in right now is a franchise first from
(18:35):
the bottom build that actually worked. And now you're seeing
Lions fans freak out because we're extending our guys we
drafted to these long term, big money deals. And then
on the other hand, they're watching the Packers go and
trade their first two round picks for Micah Parsons. Everyone
is going to be talking about this trade all year long.
(18:55):
I think it's gonna be very interesting in two years
to see where the Packers are having given up as
much as they've given up versus the Lions tried and
true pace of just doing it their way. And I
know it's frustrating for Lions fans, but both these teams
will be there when the NFC playoffs come around.
Speaker 6 (19:13):
The good thing about it is Green Bay Packers don't
worry about two years from now because currently right now
they're two and oh two in the NFC, and they
look effing changed right now, so we're not.
Speaker 5 (19:22):
Worried about two years from now.
Speaker 6 (19:23):
A team that we hope looks good in week two,
that would be your Detroit Lions.
Speaker 5 (19:28):

It is Planet Fitness is the gym where you should

Speaker 6 (25:19):
I think Dan cam was trying to let the good
times cruise is coming Sunday against Ben Jonson. You said,
oh my pause, I was locked in and I was
locked into the transition that was already he's.
Speaker 8 (25:31):
Been skipping them because man, even when you scratch your head, man,
but to rip them sleeves, bro.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
No, no, no, no, no, Well, you know what, I
appreciate that, Thank you.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
I got people talking about Braylan's arms and the chat
and everything that.
Speaker 8 (25:43):
Was tak top front. It's a te.
Speaker 6 (25:52):
Okay, everybody good, Now your fitness is he sensed now
speaking of another ejacked individual, Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions.
You know what I'm saying, this is gonna be a
trying game for them. It's gonna be a big one.
It's gonna be a big one to the census. He
already said this is a must win. He said, we're
gonna win because it's a must win.
Speaker 5 (26:13):
Anson. What do the Detroit Lions need to do to
walk away with a victory this Sunday?
Speaker 8 (26:19):
Well, you said that a couple things about how big
of the game this is. It's a big emotional game
first and foremost. They have to keep their emotions about them.
This isn't just about a must wins and not going
on two. But you've got Ben Johnson, that's right, that's right.
And so you know, you look at some of the
stupid things that were done by this team that you know,
(26:41):
we knew those things well for many, many years, but
Dan came here and cleaned most of that up. So
the emotional part of the game has to be taken out.
Tesla needs to be on the field. More free plays
one touchdown? How about nine plays and three touchdowns? I
like that math. Laporta needs to be used.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Oh got to be well, more tough for the people
in the bat needs to be used.
Speaker 8 (27:05):
I know that everybody's focused on Jmo, but Laporta was
pretty damn good two years ago, and it seems like
they kind of forgot about him last year. So hopefully
they remember him, and then they need to tighten up
on special teams. I'm not gonna talk about running the
ball or hutch because I'm sure that we'll discuss that.
I'm talking about the stuff that we haven't been harping
on for a damn week straight. Special teams were terrible.
(27:27):
Special teams were not good, and that was a big
strength of this team. Anytime that we you know, failed
on offense, or needed a turnover or needed a fourth down,
you know, sneak play, we turned to our special teams.
And we need to turn to them again this Sunday.
They need to come up bick.
Speaker 5 (27:43):
Those are the good points. I love doing the show
with people that I prepare.
Speaker 6 (27:45):
Man do the research. I'm glad and I love it.
You talk about the emotional aspect of the game. Little
things like Brian Branch and the double Burry lash, and
little things like Brian Branch at the beginning of this
game this year.
Speaker 5 (27:55):
Things like that can't happen in this game. You can't
allow the game. You can't allow the moment. You can't
allow them the bleep talk and all those real talk.
You can't let that infect the game. The only thing
that matters is the outcome.
Speaker 6 (28:05):
You got to make sure you're doing the things because
it's not about an individual player, it's about the team.
Speaker 5 (28:10):
I love that aspect as well. Uh kool aid, Yes, sir,
what do you think? Man?
Speaker 6 (28:14):
Give me a couple because you know I had some
keys and I don't know if mine are different or
the same.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
But let me know what you think about the Detroit Lions.
What do they need to do this Sunday?
Speaker 10 (28:23):
Hey, you know what, as you're talking about Key's the victory,
I'm looking for Jared Goff to being that you call
my capacitis a force multiplier. That's what Jared Golf is
when that pocket gives them time. And when you looked
at the numbers, it actually did spell a different a
different game than we actually thought he had some time.
When you looked at Brandon's breakdown, you know what, it
told us he was missing wide open players. I look
(28:44):
forward to Jared Golf being the reason why this team
looks special on offense again, because if he's not right,
this offense isn't right.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
And I do expect the timing to be a little
bit better.
Speaker 10 (28:53):
I do expect the aspect of missing those like the
j mos, the Sambla portals, I expect that to be
a lot more cleaned up this week ahead. As it
relates to defense, this is one where I'm looking for
the secondary to be much more sound, much more sound.
I know you're playing against Ben Johnson. I know that
you can expect some shots down the field, but I
(29:15):
do expect him after kind of get embarrassed by the
Green Bay Packers, I expect this be a situation where
that secondary no safeties in particular, they get a little
bit more stingy in.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
That red zone.
Speaker 10 (29:26):
We've been able to rely on the last two years
underneath Aaron Glynn defense, those safeties locking everything down to
the tune of taking away the most amount of red
zone touchdowns. We need to see this Detroit Lions team
get back to effectively their bread and butter, and I
think it does start with the guys who are getting paid.
You look at Kirby, You're looking at Jared Goff. These
(29:46):
guys can call them a record. Kirby's had a record
at the time. Jared Goff, we know he moved the
needle at the time. But I'm rone, I get it.
I'm a Rods getting crazy coverage right now, you've broken
down he had four.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
So he's doing his job. That means Jared Goff has
to do his he has to.
Speaker 6 (30:05):
Yeah, you brought up a very good point. I mean,
these individus are getting paid. Everybody's getting paid, but certain
individuals are getting paid more. Jared Golf would like to
see you take a step up and make some more players.
There were passes there last week that he missed. Yes,
if you look at the numbers thirty one, thirty nine, two,
twenty five, a touchdown, an interception, those numbers will fool you.
That is not what the game looked like when I
watched it live and in real time. Those stats are inflated.
(30:27):
So Jared Golf, take a step up. This is your opportunity.
Everybody said that Jared Golf was a quarterback for the
Detroit Lions. Everybody said that Jared Golf could show it
the load that he had been to a super Bowl before.
So there are opportunities that will come up. You need
Jered Goff to step up definitely in those moments. And
the secondary that's a great one too, you know.
Speaker 5 (30:44):
Answer we talk.
Speaker 6 (30:45):
About it what Brian Branch means to this team, what
we believe he is. In turn, I think he's the
best defensive player for this team right now. And then
Kirby Joseph they were one and two in terms of
the safety. They have to step up. That secondary has
to be better. Tearing on or will he play, we
don't know, but we talked all season about him getting better.
Doesn't like he took this to MDG reach trying to
figure it out. So secondary could definitely get.
Speaker 5 (31:06):
A little bit better.
Speaker 8 (31:07):
Let's force some turnovers.
Speaker 5 (31:09):
Oh yes, win the turnover back.
Speaker 8 (31:11):
That was something that last two years. Goodness, and we
certainly lost it last week. But wear that though, But
we're plately. You know, Love is a guy, a pretty
controlled quarterback. I think I saw somebody in the chat
talking about him. You know, back heel interception in the
fourth quarter will do him in when they come here,
and I like that, But this isn't a guy that
(31:33):
takes a tremendous amount of chances enter the catfish. Catfish
is on the menu because they will get to him
because he likes to hold out of the ball too long.
And he also tries to fit the ball into spaces
that work for USC and they work in the preseason,
they don't work against this secondary. And I'm calling for
(31:54):
at least two forced turnovers from the Detroit's defense, not
necessarily all for the secondary. One of those two guys
gets to one.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
Pack, Well, you're getting hot right now, so I gotta
stop you right there, and I gotta go ahead and
get these keys the victory that my man Ryan in
the back set up because you were cooking with some
grease and I saw where you were going.
Speaker 5 (32:12):
I said, wait, man, I want them to take my thunder.
So kool aid, you can.
Speaker 4 (32:16):
Set them up. That's up on the screen right now.
Speaker 7 (32:20):
Oh here we go.
Speaker 5 (32:21):
He put them all on one. Okay, well I'll break
it down.
Speaker 6 (32:24):
We'll start with one offensive line has to man up,
man up when I'm talking about that as.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Look, this will not be lambeau Field. This will not
be the first start for Tate Rallies.
Speaker 6 (32:35):
This will not be the second star for Christian Mahogany
Graham Glasgow at the Center in lambeau Field where they
just recently acquired Michael Parsons.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
It's loud as I don't know what, so I'll get out.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
I get it.
Speaker 5 (32:45):
They're miscommunity miscommunication issues. We're good.
Speaker 6 (32:50):
This is game two. This game will be a ford Field.
This game will be silent. Count Jared Golf will be
able to calm ford Field down. You'll be able to
hear the community and communicate well with each other.
Speaker 5 (33:00):
I need you to man up. I need you to
block the man in front of you.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
I need you to put a hat on a hat
because run and pass pro is an attitude. It is
an attitude. And trust me, Tate Rallies, I know you
got attitude. I know you got attitude. I saw what
you did to my squad a couple of years ago.
I know there's attitude there. Christian Mahogany, there's attitude there.
Graham Glasgow, there's attitude there. You were on an offensive
line that was second in the league. And we know
(33:25):
about left and we know about right. So there needs
to be an attitude from the offensive line. You need
to display that. You need to show that in the
communication to be key. That's one thing that I am
coming around on in terms of playing a lambo versus
playing at home, this will be a good ease in
to the communication process of the offensive line. Number two,
it's that same offensive line work then with Johnny Moe.
(33:46):
Johnny Moe, I want you to establish the run early.
And the reason why I attached him to is one,
he's not just the offensive coordinator. It comes down to him.
It's just not about the offensive line pushing the big
uglies in front of him. That's about the play call
and get to how you dial things up. Do you
put Jared Goff in shotgun and get quick passes off.
So now that you get the defensive line kind of
(34:07):
off the line of scrimmage, and now you make it
a little bit easier to run those runs. You have
to help this offensive line, Johnny Moe. That is what
your job is. That was Ben Johnson's job. He's going
it's your job. They chose you to get them into
some situations. Answing to where you can get the ball
out of Jared Goff's hands, get it into JMO's hands,
some crossing route stuff. We ran no crossing routs last
(34:27):
week and they played man and man coverage. Get the
ball out of him faster, and then you will get
the linebackers running in coverage, backing up. That creates space.
Then you start to run the ball. Now they come
up and what do you do? Bing bang boom, play action.
That's how it happens. So, Johnny Mo, you gotta help
in establishing a run identity. Get the identity back.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
That's who we are.
Speaker 6 (34:49):
It's a running team. Everything that the Lions have did
had successful on anson. It's been predicated on being a
great run team.
Speaker 8 (34:57):
It's returning to their identity. And I didn't talk about
the offensive line because I knew you'd get there. You
touched on the fact that they're returning home. Crowd's gonna
be nice and quiet when they're in the.
Speaker 4 (35:07):
One nervous be nice and quiet.
Speaker 8 (35:11):
Well they're gonna be nervous too, But I am. I
mean what they dealt with it at Lambeau was a
double charge field after on the heels again person.
Speaker 5 (35:21):
And then it couldn't have gone. It couldn't have gone.
Speaker 6 (35:23):
It couldn't have gone any more perfect for an atmosphere
in Lambo because the guy they waited for, he came
out there and in the first play it happens, is theearing.
Speaker 8 (35:32):
Out and the momentum killer in the third quarter gets
called back. That picks six. Now you're looking at a
twenty to thirteen.
Speaker 9 (35:41):
Game and that pick in the red zone in the
first half.
Speaker 8 (35:43):
Oh yeah, Lands never had a chance and momentum in that.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
So that goes back to you know who. That goes
back to a Kool aid lou too is Jared Goff.
Jared Goff needs you to grow up in those moms,
all right.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
Get it back up there. What we got for number
three on Brelan's key.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
Oh number three, I think I think Anthon would like
this one.
Speaker 6 (36:02):
Get to k Love and I want to say, you
pronounce your catfish. Get to catfish as Anson College, What's
for dinner? One thousand percent? Look Caleb first series. He's
great plays on script, at least that's what he did
with Ben Johnson. But what he's always done is when
you put him in these situations where you get after
me and you run after him, he starts to create
(36:23):
dumb players.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
He does dumb things. He'll hold the ball, He'll even
run out of bounce after running back fifteen yards. I've
seen him do it twice. So you get to him.
Speaker 6 (36:30):
Use the crowd noise, the same thing that got the
Jay and Daniels yesterday, same thing that got.
Speaker 5 (36:35):
The Jared Goff and our offensive line. Use that crowd noise.
Speaker 6 (36:38):
Because what I heard last year and the year before
that is we have created the number one atmosphere as
it relates to a fan base downtown at Ford Field.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
You gotta use that.
Speaker 6 (36:48):
You gotta use that to your I mean you got
to use that to your advantage. Use it to your advantage.
So that means, y'all you gotta be loud Detroit man.
You guys got to get loud for the Lions. Man,
but use that because Caleb wants to give you the ball.
As Anson said, he wants to turn the ball over.
He wants to try to do too much and put
it in the spot he can't. This is a funny conversation,
but this is what you have to do with him.
You gotta use the crowdy, but you gotta get to him.
(37:10):
So that goes to number ninety seven. Okay, don't last
year at the beginning of the season when he's going
crazy talking about Aiden Hutchinson, don't tell me, man, he's
doing all that, he's beating double teams and triple teams
and he's gonna be defensive.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Player of the year.
Speaker 6 (37:25):
But then last week when he got double team, the
excuse was, man, Aiden's getting double team. Don't tell me
somebody has the best eyes to be defensive player of
the year and get mad when he get double team.
News flash, that's what the price tag asked for. Because
Michael Parsons got double team yesterday, Michael Parsons got double
team the week before that, and TJ.
Speaker 5 (37:43):
Watt and Miles.
Speaker 6 (37:44):
Garrett insert anybody else who Aiden is gonna get bread
like Trey Hendrickson. You gotta get off double teams tomorrow.
Got to get to the quarterback because if he's getting
double team somebody on his back side, I don't care
who it is, the ghost of Zadarius Smith, Somebody come on,
James Houston walking, Somebody come off that edge and get
shacked because it's one on one Mono e Minos.
Speaker 5 (38:07):
Get to Caleb Williams.
Speaker 6 (38:09):
You saw how Vikings started to get to him and
what that fourth quarter looked like. That could be you,
all right, number four? Yeah, just real quick man. You
were preaching as it related to what the fans can do.
There's only so much we can do to affect the game.
Speaker 10 (38:23):
You know, we could turn up to know at the
very least, we can go in there and do our job,
do our part, and not just what other fans will do.
We did this thing from coast to coast, from arena
to arena. Now we're kicking off this NFL season right
here against the Bears. This would have be the loudest
we've ever heard Ford field man.
Speaker 6 (38:42):
Man, let me tell you about the twelfth man influencing
the game. When I was playing for the Seattle Seahawks,
this would have been the remember the infamous Money Night
game with the Hail Mary with the with the the revs. Yes,
I was yes, with the with the replace base.
Speaker 4 (39:00):
So I'm in that game punch it through the back
of the end zone game?
Speaker 3 (39:03):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (39:03):
What?
Speaker 2 (39:04):
No?
Speaker 6 (39:04):
No, not the punch through. This was this was the
Green Bay Packers and the Seahawks. This is when Golden.
This when Golden catches the hell Mary and they gave
it to him first of all, but Golden never had
the ball in his hand l all, and they called
it hell made replacement reup. But there was moments in
that game. Century Link is so fing loud. The Twelfth
Man is so real that when we knew we were
(39:26):
gonna get Aaron Rodgers excuse me, and we were gonna
get them offensive line to jump off side and get
their defensive line.
Speaker 5 (39:31):
You know how many false starts Aaron Rodgers squid had
the game five? Like you beat me to it.
Speaker 6 (39:37):
It's five, see he called me. I'm like yes, oh,
he got it right. They had five false starts and
then they had three where they lined up off sides
of neutral zone like encroachment. Excuse me, that is real
and that's what you have Downtown man, So use it
because they definitely can use that.
Speaker 4 (39:54):
All right, number four, you'll definitely get this number four.
Speaker 8 (39:58):
I like this one, Bray.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
I don't know what the people would think.
Speaker 5 (40:01):
It is a handsome guy right there.
Speaker 6 (40:04):
Ah, get off the field on third down, ladies and gentlemen, Look,
it's not all bad as it relates to the Detroit Lions.
One thing you did good last week, decent if you will,
and did well last year. You got off the field
and third down last week you were four to ten.
That means the Green excuse me, that means that the
Green and Packers were forty percent on third down.
Speaker 5 (40:22):
You gotta get off the field.
Speaker 6 (40:24):
You cannot allow Caleb Williams to build some type of momentum,
build some type of dry That's what Ben Johnson does. Well,
that's what we saw here for four years, or excuse me,
for three years. When he builds momentum, oh man, it
starts to look good. He starts to get on time,
he starts to know when to call the plays at
the right time. That's what we're hoping Johnny Mo can do.
(40:44):
Don't let them get in rhythm. That means on third
down you gotta get off the field. Please please that
is very important to get up the field.
Speaker 8 (40:52):
And third This one's really important because the Lions were
the best third down defense in the league last year.
But on the other side of that, they were one
of the best teams in the red zone offensively last
year as well. Those are the two things that they
have to return to in this game. Go find that
identity you guys created the last two years.
Speaker 6 (41:11):
Yeah, one thousand percent. Man, get off the field and
third down the same thing as in fact, Michigan. Listen
to some of this stuff because it applies to you
as well. Third down, get off the field. Third and
seven for material gets the first down, Third and fourteen
for material gets the first down. Third and twelve from
material gets the first time. I'm sorry, I'm just reliving
the game.
Speaker 5 (41:29):
All right, here we go.
Speaker 6 (41:30):
They got off the field. That's what we're doing. The
last You can relive it all you want because there's
a loss. You enjoy me reliving those losses. And look,
continue to stop the run. This is something else that
the Lions did well. This is the best thing I
think that they did in the game this past Sundays.
They stopped the run. Josh Jacobs had no where to
go until the end on some garbage wild they had
one good run of garbage run. Stop the run, because
(41:51):
when you stop DeAndre Swift, who is DeAndre Swift? Where
I told you last week is DeAndre Swift?
Speaker 5 (41:57):
They got to pass the ball.
Speaker 6 (41:59):
And we saw how that in the fourth quarter against
the Minnesota Vikings when they had to pass and pass
and pass because they're not trusting Deandres with he's not
running the ball anywhere.
Speaker 5 (42:07):
When you stop the run and.
Speaker 6 (42:08):
You make Caleb become the guy that has to beat you,
he's not tried and true, he's not proven in that field.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Prove it to me.
Speaker 5 (42:14):
Show me where, Show me where Caleb has come back.
Show me where Caleb has made that move. Show me
where Caleb has been that guy.
Speaker 6 (42:22):
He hasn't been that so far in the NFL. So
if you make them one dimensional, if you make them
pass the ball, that'sh in that.
Speaker 5 (42:29):
These are my keys to victory.
Speaker 8 (42:31):
And you know, all the keys that we've all talked about,
they're awesome, they're all very good. But the Lions only
need to do about five of eight, you know, because
again two hundred and fifty yards. They gave up on defense,
They controlled time of possession, they dominated time of possession,
they had more first downs. So the momentum word that
you used a few times, I think that that's crucial.
(42:51):
Get the run game going early and get a defensive
big play early because both sides of the ball they're
lacking in confidence a little bit, even though I know
in Allen Park they're not really, But when that game starts,
if things don't go well early on, we could see
a really long game. Otherwise, these both units can get
the team as a whole going with just one solid
(43:15):
big play that momentum and the crowd will take them through.
Speaker 5 (43:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (43:19):
One of them saying, look the line like the excuse me,
what the Lions were last week is they were a
team that can get the ball from the twenty to
about the forty. They were a team that can get
the ball from their twenty two about the thirty five
of the Green Bay Packers. And that's not good enough.
You gotta get the ball to the red zone. Then
you eveventually got to get the ball to the ten
yard line, where's first and go. That's a place that
you want to be because getting to the thirty five,
(43:39):
that's not gonna do it. Jake Baks can't save you.
Jake Baks can't save you. Another thing is don't get
behind early. They don't get behind early because we haven't
proven that we have the offense yet to climb from behind.
Like we didn't mind if we got behind the last
couple of years, but we haven't proven I'm not saying
we don't have that, but we haven't seen it yet.
So don't get behind early. And I mean, fourteen that
can't beat this game, Let'm try.
Speaker 10 (43:59):
That's how it was to start last year. Unless the
offense is in sync, you don't have what you need.
Speaker 4 (44:04):
Later in the season.
Speaker 10 (44:06):
You felt a lot more comfortable if the team had
a hiccup or two. But to start off the season
they actually took an l because the offense wasn't in sync.
You can't afford to get behind while you're sputtering right now,
none at all.
Speaker 8 (44:18):
Well, I don't even think that these guys' mindset is
there right now to have to come back from a
deficit in the third fourth quarter. This is a new team,
even though there's so many of the same guys. You
take that whole summer off and you go out and
you get your ass handed to you. In Week one,
you need some mental help out there. You need that
big play on both sides of the ball to remind
(44:41):
these Lions of how good they are.
Speaker 5 (44:45):
Ah Man, Man, Man, what do you think this Sunday
looks like?
Speaker 8 (44:49):
I think it looks like a win. I think it
looks like a win. I think that Ben Johnson probably
probably gets in his own way, and I think that
he wants to embarrass the Lions. I think that he
wants everybody in the stands to know who was responsible
for that team. I have a source that tells me
(45:12):
the Lions were ready to say goodbye for two years
to Ben Johnson. So again I mentioned two years. So
he's just from a very legitimate source. When I look
at that that that word that I threw out early, No,
this is this source works for multiple teams. He had
(45:33):
worn out his welcome here. I'll bring it back to
the Quarterback Show when when uh Jared Goff was perfect,
Dan Campbell's handing out game balls. Didn't realize that that
Jared was perfect. He addresses that later on in the
postgame press conference, But in that locker room when he's
handing out game balls, third one goes to Ben Johnson
(45:55):
and he very seriously says it's about flipping time. That's
not Lions culture. It's one for all and all for
the Logans, you know. Absolutely, So they were ready to
rid themselves of him, or they were ready to say goodbye.
They weren't desperate to keep him, and I think he
wanted to be desperately kept, and he was. He's now
(46:15):
desperately hung on to by the Chicago fan base as
their savior. So I believe that the experience will outweigh
them Lions emotions, whereas Ben Johnson's going to bring his
emotion in here. You're gonna see trick plays, You're gonna
see him try and run up the scoreboard, and I
think that it gets Caleb in trouble after that first
(46:36):
scripted drive. I think that Ben is going to be
the problem. But I still think that the Lions are
just a better team too. Period.
Speaker 9 (46:45):
I think I think that's Ryan with the comment. I
think I think the Bears are going to score the
first touchdown. I think they're gonna get ahead early because
that scripted drive. Outside that against the Vikings, they didn't
do much. But I think later in that first half
there's gonna be a trick play or he's gonna try
to go for it on fourth down. There it's not
gonna work out, and then you'll slowly see the momentum swing.
(47:07):
I still think it's a close game because even when
the Bears were got awful, they still made it close.
Like the last two times Beforedfield, the Bears could easily
want Thanksgiving in the one where Justin Fields was dancing,
and then it didn't work out for him in the end.
But I think he's gonna do something dumb because he
thinks he's the smartest guy in the room all the time.
That's kind of the vibe I get from Ben Johnson.
He thinks he's the smartest guy in the room. But
(47:28):
I think the Lines are gonna come away with a
one score victory. But Ben Johnson gonna do something dumb
and it's gonna cost no.
Speaker 8 (47:35):
I agree.
Speaker 5 (47:36):
I think it's gonna be right there, even even dreaming
about that one, that one lockdown.
Speaker 9 (47:42):
I also lived last year with a couple of Bears
fans and they're telling me how great Caleb's gonna be,
how great Ben Johnson's gonna be, and I needed them
to find the shout off.
Speaker 10 (47:51):
Ryan, Do you have a dark board in your room
with Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams face night.
Speaker 9 (47:56):
No, no, but I might, I might think about it.
Speaker 4 (47:59):
I put something, if anything.
Speaker 9 (48:02):
I got a Ryan Day picture of my guys, his beard,
black Beard.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
Man.
Speaker 7 (48:09):
That nipple ring.
Speaker 8 (48:09):
I can't get over the I can't get over that nipple.
Speaker 5 (48:13):
Ring my head. Coach cann't have a nipple ring, man,
he can, he couldn't.
Speaker 4 (48:17):
I'm not.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
Lloyd.
Speaker 8 (48:24):
I'm kind of a decoration with Lloyd Carr have on
his nipple ring.
Speaker 5 (48:27):
That's my that's my transfer port letter.
Speaker 4 (48:30):
Coach.
Speaker 5 (48:32):
Yeah, I'm going ahead to get it out of your play.
Speaker 8 (48:34):
I'm getting press a little two out of that shirt, sir.
I need out here.
Speaker 10 (48:38):
You imagine getting on your head, bro for for doing
this the sparty, but he got a nipple ring.
Speaker 6 (48:43):
Take it serious, coaching nipple hard. I can't take you serious, Bro,
I can't take you serious. Everybody's echoing the same thing.
It looks like they got the Lions winning this game.
Speaker 4 (48:53):
Cool?
Speaker 5 (48:54):
And where are you at with it right now?
Speaker 9 (48:55):
Man?
Speaker 5 (48:55):
Where you at with everything we talked about this week?
Speaker 4 (49:00):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (49:01):
With the with the Detroit Lionsman, hold on one a second,
reset that for me one more time bruh.
Speaker 6 (49:07):
Yeah, so you know, everybody going around the room right now,
I feel like they're pretty confident with Detroit's gonna do.
Whether it's an ugly win or a decent win. They
believe the Lions will win.
Speaker 5 (49:15):
What do you think after we talked about the keys
of the game so far.
Speaker 4 (49:17):
Yeah, I definitely, Man, I believe that the Detroit Lions
will win.
Speaker 10 (49:20):
And I think it's because it's gonna look a little
bit more like themselves ironically against a former coach.
Speaker 4 (49:26):
Who helped them build this identity.
Speaker 10 (49:28):
But I do I believe the timing sitting with the film,
getting that that that kind of first taste of preseason
for them really because they didn't play preseason. So now
you've gotten hit, you've gotten the timing. If you've got
to put some things out there on film that now
you get to go and clean up. And one thing
that did make me comfortable because Dan Campbell said this
stuff last year.
Speaker 4 (49:47):
He was able to call this out and it worked.
Speaker 10 (49:49):
So even though there could be some fan worry as
it relates to what Dan Campbell has done in the past,
and we just had to believe it. He's like, look,
I see what it is all of this correctable. We
will get it together. He said the same things last year,
and they did work out. So I do expect the
Detroit Lions to look a little bit more like themselves
and go out there and pull out one of those
(50:09):
twenty four to seventeen type victories twenty seven seventeen, twenty
four to seventeen.
Speaker 8 (50:15):
Dante likes them thirty four to fifteen over the bear.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
Hey, you know what turn up then? Okay, I like that.
Speaker 8 (50:22):
Dante, you want to clean up some super chats for us?
Speaker 10 (50:25):
Yes, sorry, yes, sir, because I saw the people sitting
in the man Man, we got a got a decent
amount right now.
Speaker 5 (50:29):
Yes, I am about to pist the people off of
my take.
Speaker 4 (50:32):
Hold on, hold it, listen, Let's do the super chests.
Speaker 5 (50:35):
Keep yours about the pist the people up.
Speaker 10 (50:36):
Keep your Let's do some super chats. Let's get up
to some friends, and then we'll have Braylan give us
his take. But Dante won five to one ninety nine
super Chests, says this weekend, I'm excited for the Jets
to pull the upset against the Bills, say jests.
Speaker 4 (50:51):
He says, I'm excited for TC.
Speaker 10 (50:54):
Troll just to pull the upset and high school football
against Davison tonight, TC, Go Trojans.
Speaker 4 (51:01):
That's the first of our two super chats we have
in right now.
Speaker 6 (51:04):
I appreciate that right there. Yeah, no turn up, But
I think the Jet it sounds crazy to say that
have a chance. I wish the defense would have played
better last week against Aaron Rodgers and Pittsburgh. I'd be
a little bit more confident in saying that. But I mean,
anything is possible. I think they figured out something on
the offense side of the ball. They got some weapons,
and you always loved that backfield room. I remember when
the drafted Breeche you said, I remember they drafted Braklyn.
(51:26):
You said, So there's something there. And this is a
g you know, he is a large part of what
helped this team get turned around. So I don't have
I don't have a problem with that. I think it
could be close. I don't see it happening, but I
don't have a problem.
Speaker 5 (51:37):
If it does, Jets. If it doesn't, now that's do.
But then shout out to the show, Go Trojans.
Speaker 10 (51:48):
Yeah, and then you gotta beat Chram with a nine
ninety nine super chat. He is number two, right now
he has the number two prong in the chat. If
Johnny Mo doesn't work out, would your mind seeing Sean
King back in Detroit the deep cut?
Speaker 8 (52:02):
Wow, some people there asking who Sean King?
Speaker 5 (52:05):
Was your way to beautive?
Speaker 6 (52:09):
If we do got another bright Sean King, Sean Kingston
if you will. The only thing about that is you
essentially have agreed that this was the move to make.
You agreed that the move was to go back and
get Johnny bull in from twenty twenty two, had some familiarity,
and you brought him in.
Speaker 5 (52:27):
You worked all off season. This is what you built.
Speaker 6 (52:30):
This is what you built with A'mona Ross, Saint Brown,
Jameson Williams, Sam Laporta and everything everybody else.
Speaker 5 (52:36):
This is what you've built.
Speaker 6 (52:37):
And now to try to come and bring somebody in
in the twenty fifth hour in the season, which this
isn't just removing a coach and then going on about
an attempt to get to the playoffs or just attempt
to finish the season. Your attempted to win the Super Bowl.
So I would just be hard pressed to try to
bring a new offensive coordinator in, regardless of how it looked,
because trying to switch in the middle of the season,
(52:58):
the middle of Super Bowl season.
Speaker 8 (52:59):
It is tough to just be Dan doing it again
like they did last time.
Speaker 6 (53:04):
It would be it would be by committee. Should be Dan,
Scottie Montgomery and some players and then Mark. Mark Brunell
has been here since the inception. That's the quarterbacks coach,
so you have If anything, Mark Brunell would be my choice.
I know Mark I played with. I called a touchdown
pass for Mark Brunell. He would be the guy if
something had to get made because it's still in the
(53:25):
house and he's been here with Jared the whole.
Speaker 4 (53:28):
Practically a coach, you know, the whole staff man.
Speaker 6 (53:32):
I was on the same team as like six guys
off the staff and played against all of them, and
the Brayn's breakdowns have been on point. I play against
Dan Campbell, he crazy. I played against matter of fact,
the year they wore on sixteen, I played against y'all.
Speaker 8 (53:45):
Dang that did you feel bad beating us?
Speaker 4 (53:49):
No?
Speaker 5 (53:51):
You should have, absolutely not.
Speaker 4 (53:53):
Hey, we got another Super chat two from five dollars.
Speaker 10 (53:57):
How much did Tate Rilets skipping training care in preseason
to get money on a rookie contract affect him? Should
rookies get mandatory contracts.
Speaker 8 (54:06):
I thought they already did that right after we had
to sign Stafford. And then I'm gonna consue too crazy
crazy numbers.
Speaker 6 (54:16):
She's talking about, like the actual point being the actual same. So, yeah,
they do get mandatory contracts.
Speaker 1 (54:21):
Yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (54:24):
I don't know what the language was. I don't know
what the hold up was for them, But I don't
think it hindered because it sure didn't help. Okay, it
didn't help.
Speaker 6 (54:30):
But at the end of the day, if he would
have played in the preseason game that happened after he
was already here.
Speaker 8 (54:35):
Sure, I think he's just really saying that them getting
in just the time with Ota.
Speaker 6 (54:40):
Well, then that's not But that's then that's going to
be on the Lions, because that would be on the
Lions to understand that here's here's a rookie, here's a
rookie guard that we want to start and we expect
to have a big impact. Well, then cut off the
bs with the back and forth and the minutia that
you couldn't figure out, you guys, get that deal done,
because I guarantee it was not over that much.
Speaker 8 (54:58):
Mon How quickly did they sign him after ragnow retired?
I'd like to look into that because that because they
didn't have the catalysts that they needed to make it
happen quickly. But once Ragnow went down, I would hope
that that happened immediately thereafter. And if it didn't, then
to your point, yeah, the Lions need to recognize, Hey,
(55:19):
our offensive line might have some problem.
Speaker 10 (55:21):
I do have sound from Dan Campbell later because I
want to make sure you give your take on the game.
And we do got Brailen's top five teams and first
all right in the NFC and the AFC. We do
got sound from Dan Campbell. We might be able to
get to later. The show is flying by, but it's
on him talking about the two coordinators and that what
he's if they're meeting his expectation as well as the
(55:44):
adversity that they have to face.
Speaker 6 (55:45):
So and Campbell him that would sound good. Here's my
thoughts on Detroit Lions this week. What my prediction is
if you will, Oh, this is a tough one because
I really do not want to pick them. I don't
like what I saw last week out of detrop I'm
being honest. I don't like what I saw last week.
Got Detroit Lions it are not what I would expected
to see after how the season ended last year and
(56:06):
all the doubling and tripling down that you did.
Speaker 5 (56:08):
It just did not look good.
Speaker 6 (56:09):
The players didn't look prepared, they didn't get ready, and
the offensive line. Yes, they're miscommunications because it's lambeau Field,
but damn it, this is the NFL and that didn't
necessarily look like that, you know. And then you come
into this week and I have Dan Campbell doing interviews
talking about one I wish I would have played them
(56:29):
in the preseason. Wait a minute, we've been talking for
how long? And you said no, we didn't need to.
So that didn't look good. That didn't sound good. That
didn't feel good. And then lasting on top of it,
what did he say? He said, we will win this
game because what we must. What I don't like about that,
ladies and gentlemen, What happens if you don't Because the
first question from everybody in Detroit media, they're gonna put
(56:50):
the mic right in his face and they're gonna say,
now what because you said we must.
Speaker 5 (56:55):
I didn't like that. He said that.
Speaker 6 (56:57):
I didn't like that. If that happens, that's what's going
to happen. With all of that said, this is still
a better team, roster for roster. This is a home
game for the Detroit Lions. The miscommunication will get corrected.
This team that we've watched the last two years, this
is still the same team with the same identity. So
I believe they'll get a win in an ugly game.
(57:17):
And when I say ugly, you said ugly. It's gonna
be a ugly game. I could even see the score
being something eighteen and sixteen. Whatever the score is, it
will be two to three in Detroit's favorite.
Speaker 5 (57:27):
It'll be an ugly win. But that's what I got.
Speaker 6 (57:29):
And by the way, last time I checked, a win
is a wins, right, is a win. That's what I
have for you on the Lions game.
Speaker 8 (57:37):
I agree. I think it'll be closer. I'm gonna throw
this in here real quickly from I'm Salty Bray. It's
from Detroit. He knows we deserve better. We should have
found a way to get Bray on the Lions. Why
would you have wanted to do that to him?
Speaker 4 (57:48):
I can do both.
Speaker 5 (57:50):
I can do both jobs.
Speaker 7 (57:51):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (57:52):
I can go downtown. I'm in shape. You know what
I'm saying put me on the staff.
Speaker 8 (57:55):
You could have made that one handed catch.
Speaker 5 (57:57):
H Yeah, then my rotaar cuff with the cave out.
Speaker 4 (58:01):
No, I'm ready for Coach breadough Man, I'm ready. The
breaks breakdowns have been on point bro oh Man.
Speaker 6 (58:06):
There's one that I wanted to break down today too,
but I promise Chef that I wouldn't do it. I
promise Chep that I wouldn't do it. But it was
just about it was Jamison Williams on a blocking player.
I think it was one of Jamiir's biggest runs.
Speaker 5 (58:18):
From the game.
Speaker 6 (58:18):
It was when he broke on what he didn't break,
but it was when he got about seven yards up
the right sideline when they were backed up, and you
see Jamo he just comes inside, gets into the DB's
chest plate and then turns the dB right into the safety.
And when he got both of those, that's when you
see Jamo give the sideline almost get the first down
like that.
Speaker 5 (58:37):
That's the identity of the Lions. That's what I want.
That's the wide receiver doing that. Like the identity is there.
Speaker 6 (58:43):
Jamo took two guys on that play, so Jamier Gibbs
was able to get the first down and get free
on your side for a little bit. That's who the
Lions have been, That's what they are. And if that's
what wide receiver doing as I want to see the
big guys up front do it.
Speaker 5 (58:56):
That's why I want to see do it. So that's
why I say, offensive line, bring your game. Family.
Speaker 6 (59:00):
Let's take a quick commercial break, and when we get back,
we'll break down Top five NFC, Top five AFC, and
then we'll finish out. We have some fun lands and
I know he's got some stuff cooked up over there.

Speaker 5 (01:04:38):
To say, who is with Obie last?
Speaker 6 (01:04:41):
With Obie last year, breaking Wayne Gretzky's gold record, and
now you see Dereck Henry approaching Emmitt Smith's you know
he's two and a half, three years out, but he's
approaching that record being broken.
Speaker 5 (01:04:53):
You see Aaron Judges approaching five hundred. Are there any.
Speaker 6 (01:04:56):
Records that are almost about to get broken that you're watching,
that you're monitoring, Just quick, conbo, just decide.
Speaker 8 (01:05:04):
I'm always waiting for the fifty five game hits streak
to get approached fifty six. Yeah, that's that's honestly the
one that that just intrigues me the most. Obviously, you know, Kool,
I would think I'd go to hoops at this point,
but the hoops records are really they're funky now because
the offense is so different, and realistically, if we actually
(01:05:26):
kept true statistics, no one would be able to touch
Wilt anywhere yeah. So I honestly I want to see
somebody get over forty game and hit streak, and then
I want everybody to be talking about that. I don't
necessarily want it to go to somebody else, but that
one fascinates me the most.
Speaker 5 (01:05:43):
All right, what about you, Ryan, You got some you're eyeing?
Speaker 9 (01:05:46):
No, I just want to see someone score one hundred
points in basketball game. No, I want someone to score
one hundred points of okay, because do we really think
Will Chamberlain scored one hundred points in that game?
Speaker 8 (01:05:58):
Do we really there's a call, there's a radio call
on it, and there's a lot of people that back
that up. And there's a lot of Lebron fans, new
young generation kids that want to stick and poke holes
in that thing. But he had a quintuple double in
a game. Bro a quintuple double.
Speaker 5 (01:06:18):
Five doubles.
Speaker 9 (01:06:19):
Boy, I'm saying, I think someone can do it with
the way the NBA is now in basketball. And we've
seen Kobe have eighty one, We've seen Devin Booker have seventy.
I think Luca had over sixty this past year.
Speaker 8 (01:06:29):
Those extra twenty thirty points to requires so much commitment
from your teammates to allow you to do that, and
the game is too selfish.
Speaker 5 (01:06:39):
Now also too, You're absolutely right, I can see somebody.
I can see somebody. Maybe you can get into to
eighty again.
Speaker 6 (01:06:45):
But the problem is, like he says, it's those last
twenty points, because everybody's scoring those seventy that's seventy one,
Kobe at eighty one. They are going down to the
last second.
Speaker 5 (01:06:54):
Of the game.
Speaker 6 (01:06:55):
They're playing the whole game and then exhausting all the energy.
That's not like they score with seventy and took the
last seven minutes in game off. They use every single
second that was on their clock, so getting a hundred
would be tough.
Speaker 9 (01:07:06):
I also want to see someone break Emmitt Smith's Russian record.
That's gonna be Derek Hndy, because I was always told
that if Barry Sanders didn't retire, Barry would still have it.
He would And to think that Detroit doesn't have that
record and Barry doesn't have that record annoys me a
little bit, even though I was not around for watching
Emmitt Smith or Barry Sanders, but just I you know,
(01:07:28):
to think that Barry Sanders could have had it and
should have had the record I want it broken. That's
the other one I wanted.
Speaker 8 (01:07:33):
I got something to add to that. A former Lions
player that was a member at our golf club back
in the nineties was great and very close friends with
Walter Payton, and Walter on his deathbed, was very upset
that Barry retired because he did not want Emmett to
have that record. He wanted Barry to So I will
(01:07:55):
double down on that.
Speaker 9 (01:07:56):
Another reason why I want that one broke.
Speaker 8 (01:07:57):
I'd love to see Derek Henry and the Cowboys, especially
in the era where running backs can barely even get
a second contract after their rookie deal. So to see
a guy still clipping up over fifteen hundred yards in
his tenth year, however many years has been. I love
seeing that. Love to see Dereck Henry take that record.
Speaker 5 (01:08:18):
Yeah, I'm doing the math right now.
Speaker 6 (01:08:19):
It looks like Derrick Henry is about six sixty seven hundred.
Looks like he's yeah, he's about sixty actually five years.
That's pretty good math. It's about sixty seven hundred away.
Speaker 7 (01:08:29):
That's five well or strong.
Speaker 6 (01:08:33):
Think about this way. He's already on track this year
for two thousand yards, much like he was last year.
Last year, I think he finished with eighteen fifty. He's
on track for two thousand this year. Let's just say
seventeen hundred. If he has another seventeen hundred, boom, boom, boom,
that's minus fifteen.
Speaker 8 (01:08:47):
Five years at fifty at eleven a piece is fifty
five plus the seventeen. You're gonna get into that and
then you'll be about five hundred over. But yeah, it's
a tall order, he continued, I mean he's a he's
a Jim Rats. He's absolutely he can withstain the hits.
But can he keep that burst?
Speaker 6 (01:09:04):
That's what I was gonna ask, not even about the burst,
how long before the body like not falls apart.
Speaker 5 (01:09:08):
But how long before it slows down?
Speaker 6 (01:09:10):
Look, I know from experience, like the body does slow down,
especially when you start adding injuries up.
Speaker 5 (01:09:14):
He hasn't had a ton of major injuries. But he's
a guy that's six four and a half, he's.
Speaker 6 (01:09:19):
Two hundred and forty five pounds, and he's playing running
back in the NFL seventeen games this season, three playoff games.
Last year, the only played two playoffs.
Speaker 5 (01:09:29):
Nineteen games a year. Like, at some point that takes
a toll, as Calvin. If you don't believe, oh yeah,
you remember David Boston playing playoff games.
Speaker 8 (01:09:36):
You remember David Boston, one of Ohio.
Speaker 5 (01:09:38):
State, Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 8 (01:09:40):
He that great first year and then he got absolutely.
Speaker 5 (01:09:43):
To sixty five and he blew his knee out running
and that.
Speaker 8 (01:09:46):
Doesn't have guys can't maintain that type of size. But
when you look at what Derrick Henry is, and to
a lesser degree but in a smaller frame, what Saquon
Barkley has. Yeah, who's had more injuries? Very intrigued to
see how long those guys continue playing at a high level.
Speaker 6 (01:10:02):
Sounds good, zen Kwan Barkley. As they said, let's stick
with the AFC. You mentioned Derek Henry. Let's mention, let's
stay with the AFC.
Speaker 5 (01:10:10):
Kool aid.
Speaker 6 (01:10:10):
Yes, sorry, Top five teams in the AFC right now now,
ladies and gentlemen, the list will change.
Speaker 5 (01:10:16):
The list will change week to week. It is a
week the week thing.
Speaker 6 (01:10:19):
Answer you, but this is what I have right now.
I guess he did both all at the same time.
So here we go in the AFC. For me, right now,
I have, as you say, I have the Buffalo Bills,
the number one team in the AFC. Now, I still
think the Baltimore Ravens are a better team than Buffalo.
Speaker 8 (01:10:37):
You've come along, Waives since last year on those bells.
Speaker 5 (01:10:40):
You had to you know, you have to pay attention
to what you see.
Speaker 6 (01:10:44):
Buffalo Bills, I think, excuse me, the Baltimore Ravens I
believe are still the better team. However, when Baltimore plays
against Buffalo, when they play against the Chiefs, when they
get to the AFC, they can't pull the trigger.
Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
So until they can, I will have to put them
in two. I think the Chargers are three. We saw
what they did to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 6 (01:11:02):
Going into the season, I said, I believe the Charges
will win that division, so I'm gonna stick with it.
Another person in that vision to Broncos, I don't know
what last game was. I don't like what I saw
out of the Offensive Bowl Knigs, but I'm gonna stick
with it. It's week one. We're telling everybody to be patient.
Let's be patient with the Broncos as well. And then
the Kansas City Chiefs. I don't like how they are looking,
but however, their quarterback is still Patrick Mahomes and we
(01:11:25):
saw this two years ago where the Kansas City Chiefs
didn't start the season off. Well, it remind me what
happened that year Super Bowl. That's right, they went and
they won. On the NFC side, the Philadelphia Eagles, they
are still the number one team.
Speaker 7 (01:11:39):
In the NFC. I understand shocked.
Speaker 5 (01:11:41):
I thought you'd listen. I understand how well the Packers
are playing.
Speaker 6 (01:11:45):
But Philadelphia Eagles, that first game against the Dallas Cowboys,
let's just imagine somebody doesn't spit on somebody what that
game will look like. I think a lot of people
forgot about Jayleen Carter getting kicked out of that game.
Allowed them to move the ball a little bit. They
are the reigning, defending Super Bowl champs and they still
have a damn gar roster. They deserve the respect of
(01:12:05):
still being one. So I'm not gonna bump them. But
guess what you all notice because the Green Bay Packers
they're rocking and roll, and they beat the Washington Commanders
and the Detroit Lions in five days.
Speaker 5 (01:12:16):
They beat them both. It was at home. You can
say what you want.
Speaker 8 (01:12:19):
That's a deal.
Speaker 5 (01:12:19):
That is a big deal.
Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
In five days, they beat them both, and they dominated
both games. They dominated both games. No, it wasn't forty
to fifteen, but you all saw the same things I saw.
They dominated and they made it tough for both of
those offenses. Number three is the La Rams.
Speaker 5 (01:12:35):
They were the danger They were a dangerous team coming
into the season. The question is, is the Mats saffirs back?
How's it gonna be? What is the turnover?
Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
Loook like?
Speaker 6 (01:12:43):
I believe that they're still a good team. I believe
they're gonna be the team that win in the West.
I believe that they are a team looking to win
twelve games as well. Is that defense? That defense?
Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
It's crazy.
Speaker 5 (01:12:53):
NFC has a lot of good defenses.
Speaker 8 (01:12:55):
They continue to draft so well every damn year. It's
hard to put the Rams away anytime.
Speaker 4 (01:13:00):
Show.
Speaker 6 (01:13:01):
Isn't it crazy he went from f those picks to
actually drafting Well, that's crazy.
Speaker 5 (01:13:05):
That's crazy how that works? One hundred D line is good?
Speaker 6 (01:13:09):
Verse is a monster versus definitely in monster out of
Florida State, Minnesota Vikings, JJ big win on the road
Chicago Bears. And it's not just because JJ figured it
out with the offense in the fourth quarter.
Speaker 5 (01:13:21):
It's how that defense looked. Five, that defensive top five.
Speaker 6 (01:13:25):
Brian Flores had those guys run around and they were
physical at the point of attack, and you saw time
and time again. And also it is because Kevin O'Connell
was the head coach. At some point, we're gonna have
to stop looking at him as the whiz kid that
was on the team when Sean McVay won the Super Bowl. No, no, no, ladies,
Jim he is a good coach. He is a great
offensive coordinator. And just the moment that he had with JJ.
(01:13:46):
You can see the JJ belize and Minsota squad. So
the Vikings they are number four on us listen. Then
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I've always liked the Bucks.
Speaker 5 (01:13:55):
I don't know what it is.
Speaker 6 (01:13:56):
It's something about those Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield. They have
another good defensive line. I think they played good defense.
And then Baker he just has this resiliency about himself.
And oh, by the way, a Mecca Obuka, another Ohio
state wide receiver that can jump in the league and
get a thousand yards.
Speaker 5 (01:14:12):
Where did it get these guys from?
Speaker 9 (01:14:14):
My god, they recruit at a high level.
Speaker 6 (01:14:17):
Chryslave one thousand yards, Garrett Wilson thousand yards, Jackson Smith
and Jig but Marvin Harris and don't get me startled,
he was a bum.
Speaker 8 (01:14:28):
Best wide receiver in the league for four years straight.
Speaker 5 (01:14:30):
He had the most catches.
Speaker 9 (01:14:33):
What else?
Speaker 7 (01:14:34):
What else are we ranking?
Speaker 5 (01:14:35):
This is true, he wasn't the best receiver though.
Speaker 8 (01:14:39):
Best results anyway, they have the best results.
Speaker 6 (01:14:41):
But this is what I have AFC NFC. I know
you don't see a team on there. We can open
it up to the board, ladies. Gentleman, remember this is
just after week one, well week two for the Green
Bay Packers answering, I give it to you first. What
do you think, AFC NFC poke some holes, have some fun?
Speaker 8 (01:14:56):
Am I allowed to have the Lions on my list?
Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
You can?
Speaker 7 (01:14:59):
You have came, honestly, I first really just.
Speaker 8 (01:15:02):
Want to talk about the Packers and the Chargers. I
slept on the Packers. I still think they're the same
team that I thought they were, but Michael Parsons changes
so so much. I'm still not sure that they're better
than the Vikings. When all is said and done, I
put the Lions right there with those two guys. I
would put them over the Tampa Bay Bucks down in
(01:15:24):
that bottom slot right now. But I can't put them
in the top four. The Vikings and the Packers both
looked better in their Game one. Their quarterbacks looked better,
their defenses looked better. But the Chargers, as much as
I don't want to see Jim Harbass succeed, you saw
it last year him start to get this path or
(01:15:45):
this team on the right path. You know, QJ was
a disappointment last year. They were without Justin's number one
wide receiver in Allen, so they they turned McConkie into
this target machine.
Speaker 6 (01:15:57):
Can I say something about the Jim Harbaugh point that
you made. I saw that first up close in person.
In twenty eleven, Jim Harball goes to the San Francisco
forty nine ers. They bring me into training camp, and
I remember the guys the team in the locker room.
I remember the jokes about Jim Harbaugh. I remember, Oh,
this guy's corny, this guy's weird, this guy is this,
this guy is that? You know, this guy's nobody who's
(01:16:18):
got it better than us?
Speaker 5 (01:16:19):
Man, this is bs. What's wrong with this dude?
Speaker 4 (01:16:21):
This dude is quirky.
Speaker 5 (01:16:21):
I heard all those things and then you get the
first win of the season.
Speaker 6 (01:16:25):
It's like I mean, then you get win two and
then you look up and you're seven and two and
everybody's nobody.
Speaker 4 (01:16:33):
They buy in.
Speaker 6 (01:16:34):
Yeah, you know why people buy into winners, regardless of
all that other stuff. If you know how to win
and you know how to lead, what the hell I'll
follow you.
Speaker 5 (01:16:41):
That's right, you know. So that's what I've seen it before,
and that's that's exactly what the charges look like.
Speaker 8 (01:16:46):
And they're all falling in line. They've got a run game.
They get Herbert's number one wide receiver backed on sleep On,
Keenan Allen on your waiver, wy, I'm telling you right now.
But they have a polished offense.
Speaker 1 (01:16:57):
Now.
Speaker 8 (01:16:57):
They are three deep at quality wide receivers. Will Disley
is still their solid tight end. You get nausey to
back up this young stud in a Marion Hampton. But
the defense is terrorizing, I mean, up and down. This
is a team that can absolutely challenge the chiefs for
the AFC West this year.
Speaker 6 (01:17:17):
Here we go, my and I'm bringing this one to
ukol A. My first out because I did the first out,
my first out for the AFC. It was none other
than Pete Carroll and the.
Speaker 5 (01:17:26):
Las Vegas Raiders. That was my first out that's in
the sixth by and then for the NFC, my first
out one the Raiders at six after Week one. Wow, Okay, alright,
it's the information I'm.
Speaker 8 (01:17:37):
Against genty Man changes that team around.
Speaker 5 (01:17:41):
Brock Bauers being hurt. You know what I'm saying. Maybe
I'd be a little hastily to put that.
Speaker 8 (01:17:44):
Well, he's supposed to play this week, but you know
that new oc over there has been committed to using
Michael Mayer, who is a top notch tight end. More
as well, they have some legitimate options there Trey Tucker
shows up, So I like them to be a better
team this year, maybe even nine wins.
Speaker 5 (01:17:59):
First stout for the NFC, Lady Jones, I got the
Detroit Lion.
Speaker 7 (01:18:06):
Some point.
Speaker 6 (01:18:08):
Between them and the Commanders, between them and Commanders, but
I ain't like what I saw the Commanders. I think
the Trait will do better in their second game. So
that's where I'm at.
Speaker 5 (01:18:17):
My AFC and my NFC rankings after Week one.
Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
Man, I got to wed it.
Speaker 10 (01:18:21):
I feel about these things. But Bray, he's been right
since the preseason. So I was sweating a little bit
because I saw the first out on the first draft
I was no commander.
Speaker 7 (01:18:33):
But I like it.
Speaker 10 (01:18:33):
Man, as we continue to talk about this, you've you've
you've been real about the Lions, but you've continue to
instill the fact that you know, it's really about this
team getting back to their identity. And I do believe
it's as simple as that, no matter how bad that
they did look in that first game. And I think
this is gonna be the first steps in them getting
back to the identity.
Speaker 4 (01:18:51):
I do believe that you have them fairly ranked.
Speaker 5 (01:18:54):
Sometimes, man like it takes a second. Sometimes you come
off the rails.
Speaker 6 (01:18:57):
I was having a conversation I want to say yesterday
when I was telling you about the Jets. In two
thousand and nine, we go to the ABC Championship. We
lose to the Coats, who would eventually lose to the Saints.
All off season, we made moves. We added Ladanian Thomas,
and we added Jason Taylor. We added some more play
We added and Antonio Holmes, Antonio Coramarti. We had a
(01:19:17):
lot of guys. But we had all these guys and
then we get hard knocks. So now we're on hard knocks.
Now everybody's watching it, and now everybody's you know, the
expectations are there and you're watching and you get caught
up in it a little bit. And then we played
the first game. Guess what the first game. It's against
the Baltimore Raves. It's against rex old team, first time
he's coaching as a head coach, against the team that
he made great as a defensive coordinator. And we went
(01:19:39):
out there and look bad on offense, Like we didn't
score touchdown.
Speaker 5 (01:19:43):
We looked bad. We played horrible marks all over the places.
Speaker 6 (01:19:45):
Offensive line couldn't protect like receivers, we were running the
wrong rounds and it just was not a.
Speaker 5 (01:19:50):
Good cohesive game. We needed that button whooping by them.
Speaker 6 (01:19:54):
And then they knocked out Dustin Keller in like the
first quarter, so they set the tone on defense. Ray
lewis there he is again. We look bad, We look sloppy.
We weren't ready to play, We weren't prepared. We had
to go back to the drawing board.
Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
You know.
Speaker 5 (01:20:07):
It was a long week, but it was an honest week.
Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
You know.
Speaker 6 (01:20:10):
We had to stop smelling our own you know what,
because going intoday was a man We should have won.
We should have beat the Indianapolis close. It should have
been us to the super Bowl. Anyway, we're just gonna
take that same energy and we're gonna apply. Oh and
we got all these new players Calladonian Thomason and Jason Taylor.
Speaker 5 (01:20:26):
It did not happen that way, I was. It did
not happen that way. He was a player Purdue.
Speaker 8 (01:20:31):
I forgot about Keller.
Speaker 5 (01:20:33):
Purdue, Purdue University.
Speaker 7 (01:20:34):
Man don't.
Speaker 5 (01:20:37):

Speaker 5 (01:26:04):
The girl was the Pharaoh? No, I never said it.
I think I might sit in after the show.
Speaker 8 (01:26:09):
Pretty nice, you take your shoes off.
Speaker 6 (01:26:11):
I might go to the studio. That's why I needed
to go to the side here studio. I think it's
right up here.
Speaker 5 (01:26:16):
Boomfield.

Speaker 8 (01:26:29):
I just have an next girlfriend? Should be like can
we go to the furniture store and lay on different beds?
Speaker 4 (01:26:35):
Like we just going?
Speaker 8 (01:26:37):
I got one upstairs.
Speaker 7 (01:26:40):
Girlfriend.
Speaker 5 (01:26:41):
No, that wasn't the reason. Should be upstairs.
Speaker 9 (01:26:47):
Cool.
Speaker 5 (01:26:47):
And you said you have some some Dan Campbell sound,
because you know that's kind of where I'm at with.
Speaker 4 (01:26:53):
Yeah, we do. We got some sound on him talking
about a Q.
Speaker 5 (01:26:57):
Does he does he sound does does he sound a
little bit more kind least? Does he sound like he's
not nervous?
Speaker 10 (01:27:03):
He does sound a little bit more confident, you know,
people ask him about the adversity. People did ask him about,
you know, Johnny Moe and k Shep, and I'll play
those back to back, so about some forty five seconds
in clips.
Speaker 4 (01:27:16):
But you know it's our fearless leader one Dan Campbell Dan.
Speaker 16 (01:27:21):
Oh, well, yeah, they've both been great, man, They're what
I would expect them to be. Man, let's let's worry
about us and let's clean up our own issues. Let's
diagnose the problem. Uh, let's fix it, let's get better,
and let's move on. And I feel like they've done that.
Forced to compete is a good thing and I love that, man.
And we already knew what we were coming into this
(01:27:42):
year with this division. It's a tough division.
Speaker 1 (01:27:44):
Man.
Speaker 16 (01:27:45):
There's good players, there's good coaches. Competitive, but no, I
mean it's it's early in the season. I mentioned this before.
At some point every team's going to hit adversity, whether
it's early, it's in the middle of the season, it's late,
and it's just about playing your best football by the
end of the year. And so we can't worry about
the Packers, you know, we can't worry about Minnesota. We
(01:28:06):
worry about ourselves first, and then Chicago because they're the
next opponent.
Speaker 6 (01:28:09):
What I mean, all right, I'm good with it. I
mean it's all you really could get, you know, this
week and how this week is gone. I don't think
he could have early went up there and bombed that interview. Look,
this is what we're talking about. You're worrying about the
Detroit Lions. No need to worry about the Green Bay
Packers and what they're doing against the Commanders. No need
to worry about the Minnesota Vikings, and only need to
(01:28:32):
worry about Chicago Bears. Like you said, because your playing,
you gotta worry about yourself. And that's what the Lion's
got to do this week. They gotta worry about Numero,
you know, and they got to make sure that they're
doing things so they don't have the miscues, so they
don't have the bs that went in.
Speaker 5 (01:28:44):
He said, clean it up, fix it up. Cool.
Speaker 6 (01:28:46):
I just like when he says, I knew what we
were coming in too. I knew what this division was
gonna be. I knew the competition level. I'm gonna remember
that if this week doesn't look like I hope it does,
I'm gonna remember that if this season doesn't look like
we hope it does. Like we thought it was because
if you knew what this division was, if you knew
(01:29:07):
what the season was going to look like, and you
potentially didn't make the moves necessary to contend to compete,
that clip will get resurfaced.
Speaker 8 (01:29:17):
Do you think he's building in excuses?
Speaker 6 (01:29:20):
I'm telling you when he's made the comment the other day.
When he made the comment the other day, what was
the shoot? Yes, I didn't like it was oh the woman.
Speaker 4 (01:29:31):
He said, yes, we're going to win, and then he
kind of because we have to.
Speaker 10 (01:29:35):
I wish you would have just said either one of them,
just we're gonna win or we have to win, but
put them together was a little bit.
Speaker 6 (01:29:41):
Like, Nah, that wasn't the excuse. I didn't like that
at all because that didn't show confidence. The excuse was
the same thing that we've been talking about playing players
in the preseason.
Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
That was the excuse he said.
Speaker 6 (01:29:53):
He said, well, yeah, yeah, if we yeah, probably should
I probably should have played him in the preseason and
get some get some more.
Speaker 5 (01:30:00):
I don't be building excuses.
Speaker 8 (01:30:01):
Now. The rhetoric from him does feel slightly different.
Speaker 6 (01:30:06):
It doesn't feel as strong, confidence, as authentic as it
has in the last two and a half years.
Speaker 8 (01:30:13):
I agree, But this team, as somebody pointed out in
the chat, but I do have to question it. This
team doesn't lose back to back.
Speaker 4 (01:30:21):
Games, although they have it's been and a half seasons in.
Speaker 8 (01:30:27):
Is that the caveat? I'm pretty sure they lost their
last two games that mattered. That being said, this team
is really really damn good at not losing back to
back in season games.
Speaker 7 (01:30:40):
You're welcome that was for you.
Speaker 8 (01:30:42):
I think that this team, they they've not lost a
lot of games, lost regular season games last year, but
they have a script for how to handle a loss,
and we've seen them come back and be absolutely fine
and in fact pissed off after a loss. So there's
some things to clean up on the offense. I thought
the defense showed how good they were in the second half.
(01:31:05):
I thought the offense wasn't completely terrible. There's a lot
to improve on, sure, But I do think that this
is familiar territory for a team that loves revenge.
Speaker 5 (01:31:17):
The week after a loss, ran what you got, man?
Speaker 4 (01:31:20):
What do you have?
Speaker 6 (01:31:21):
We've already made our picks, we've already said we need
to say Detroit Lions, Dan Campbell, do you like the
confidence level that he exuded in this interview. Do you
like where he's at it to sound a little different
than it did maybe yesterday or Tuesday.
Speaker 9 (01:31:33):
Yeah. I like the confidence that Dan Camble's had. He's
had confidence ever since his first press conference, and I
like that.
Speaker 11 (01:31:40):
In my.
Speaker 9 (01:31:43):
One of my keys for this game is just fix
the fixable things. And I thought there's a lot of
things that they could fix in this game, and I
think that's what they've been working on all week. I
will say watching yesterday's game with the Packers kind of
gives me a little bit more confidence in the Lions
offensive line because that defense line is really good. But
I like the confidence it's Dan Campbell. I really hope
that it doesn't become bulletin board material for the Bears. However,
(01:32:05):
I think Ben Jonson has given the Lions a lot
of bulletin board materials in the offseason. Yea, But for
fair I mean, if you're not confident in your team,
you're doesn't I mean Raylan from when you're playing days,
don't you kind of feed off the coach's energy a
little bit on the on the field at all?
Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
Or is that kind of no?
Speaker 6 (01:32:20):
You absolutely do like what the coach is what the
coach feels like is what you're gonna feel like. It's
gonna be the injury you take. It's a reason why
Georgia went out well, I mean TCU suck, but it's
a reason why Georgia went out there and beat them
seventy seventy two because that coach came into that locker
room and that coach gave them one of them speeches
where you're like, yeah, it's gold time and that's what
a good coach can do. And Dan Campbell's been at
(01:32:41):
Dan Campbell's been at how many times have we looked
into the locker room after a game and you're just
listening to him speaking. You're like, there's that guy, whether
to win the loss, whether it's to win the loss.
Dan's been that guy in the locker room. So there
is a lot there to trust. To your point, I
just wanted to look consistent again, if you will one
under staying cool. There's some games this week. I know
we're going to heavy on the football. It's Friday, man,
(01:33:02):
We're excited. Finally, I feel like last week the games
were it was a lot of good games. It was
an if he's schedule, if you will for me. But
here's the storylines this week. Let's start here, Seattle versus Pittsburgh.
DK Metcalf going against his old squad. What do you
think about Seattle and Pittsburgh? Kol A, you go first.
Speaker 10 (01:33:20):
Hey, I'm somebody who was a little bit more I
wanted to be a little bit more bullish on Seattle.
But I think this is going to be a rugged battle.
I think it's gonna be one. It's gonna be really
a low scoring affair unless Anon Rodgers can work a
little bit of magic in that game and turn back
the clock just a little bit more.
Speaker 4 (01:33:38):
But I do expect this one to be more of
a sluckfest.
Speaker 10 (01:33:40):
One where it's one like one of those kind of
nineteen to sixteen, some type of twenty one to seventeen,
and you could really feel the intensity from a defensive
standpoint in this game.
Speaker 4 (01:33:51):
That's what I'm expecting to see out of this one.
Speaker 6 (01:33:54):
Answer, what we see more out of Cooper Cup with
Seattle in this game more or.
Speaker 8 (01:33:59):
Less doesn't matter. I mean cut Bro, I mean, honestly,
there's a reason he wasn't kept in LA. He's mostly
cooked and he's got a average quarterback. Maybe throwing him
the ball in Sam Darnold. To me, the story right
now is Aaron Rodgers. I think that people forget the
(01:34:20):
fact that he's still put up thirty nine hundred yards
last year with twenty eight touchdowns on a terrible team.
He had one guy that he could throw too. He
did have a good running back with that franchise as
a whole, they were in a completely different place than
what Aaron Glenn has them in now. I think that
Aaron Rodgers is for real. I think that he has
real targets. He has a solid running game. He's got
(01:34:44):
two tight ends which he's always utilized. But at the
end of the day, Mike Tomlin is a winner. Whether
he's won enough Super Bowls for Pittsburgh to be happy
or not, He's been there for the better part of
two decades and they just keep getting back to the
playoffs with who what quarterback? Now they got Aaron Rodgers
Hall of Fame gold jacket Aaron Rodgers, and he looks
(01:35:07):
the happiest his look in over two years. So I
ayahuasca grows in ayahuasca, Aaron, Baby, It does help, Baby
that di methyl trip to fame is a real thing.
So I gotta say, though, I think that that team
is playoff bound or at the very least just missing it,
and they're tied with that last place team in the playoffs.
(01:35:28):
I like what I've seen out of Pittsburgh. Seattle is
a year away from a rebuild.
Speaker 9 (01:35:34):
Cool.
Speaker 6 (01:35:34):
And I'm listening to depressing coming out of Ohio and
it seems as if the Cleveland Browns are forgetting who
they're playing this weekend at Baltimore Ravens, whether it was
the cornerbacks of whether it was safety Greg Delpit saying
that it's no challenge to tackle Derrick Henry. Now it
is no Last year he got a very nice black boy.
He got a very nice shot on Derrick Henry last
(01:35:55):
year in the game, and he put Derrick Henry down.
But guess what, Derrick Henry was not paying attention from
coming from the side. I say to you, kool a,
is there any danger in this Cleveland Browns defense who
actually played well last week against the Bengals to upset
the Baltimore Ravens coming off of lost to the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 10 (01:36:13):
Brother, I don't understand now when I don't know if
you're trying to psych your team up I don't know
if you already believe that you're dead on a rival,
So just do something to try and spark anything, because this,
to me, I don't understand, especially having seen how this
team has dismantled our lions when they were riding high.
For the Browns to be able to do this, I
(01:36:34):
don't know. You're talking about upsetting a lot of different
not just playmakers. When he talk about force multipliers, that
is Dereck Henry, that is Lamar Jackson.
Speaker 4 (01:36:42):
Why are you trying to wake up that horneousness because
the Ravens.
Speaker 8 (01:36:47):
The Ravens are the Ravens, and they I absolutely fully
support Cleveland in their hate for the Ravens. Now, I'm
a raven started, but they're gonna get housed. Listen, I
thought this team was trash again. I remember listening to
Mas a year ago saying, all the Cleveland Browns are
gonna be in the playoffs. They have a stout defense.
(01:37:10):
There's no questioning their defense, A healthy Jerry Judy healthy,
said Tillman. Now you get this Dylan Samson kid in here,
who actually looks legitimate. They've got two three guys in
the running back game. I love Rocket Raheem Sanders.
Speaker 5 (01:37:24):
Their quarterback is sixty.
Speaker 8 (01:37:29):
Rower get back as a game manager, and he was
slinging the ball around.
Speaker 7 (01:37:33):
Man, he listens, listen.
Speaker 8 (01:37:35):
I'm not saying they're gonna win because they're not.
Speaker 4 (01:37:38):
All right.
Speaker 8 (01:37:38):
The second loss with Baltimore Ravens will be in Week
three at home to our Detroit Lions, as I told
you months ago, but don't sleep on this being a
close game.
Speaker 5 (01:37:50):
I know that cannabis is legal in Michigan.
Speaker 6 (01:37:52):
I wonder what's legal in Ohio, cause what are they
talking where you can talk to Derek Henry like that.
Speaker 8 (01:37:58):
At the end of the day, you think psilocybin. But
that's Detroit.
Speaker 6 (01:38:00):
As the Baltimore Ravens were legitimately a couple, they were
a couple of man's away.
Speaker 5 (01:38:04):
From blowing out the Buffalo Bills. The only reason the.
Speaker 6 (01:38:06):
Buffalo Bills came back a couple of wacky plays and
the fact that they have Josh Allen, who is one
of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL. Don't let this
mistake you, because when they interview those guys from Cleveland,
they all were chippy.
Speaker 5 (01:38:17):
It's not that easy, it's not that hard.
Speaker 6 (01:38:19):
Blah blah, blah. They all had something to say. And
when he went to Baltimore and he interviewed Derek Herby,
what did he say?
Speaker 5 (01:38:24):
What's on Sunday? That's all he had to say.
Speaker 1 (01:38:27):
But were the.
Speaker 8 (01:38:27):
Bengals a super Bowl favorite in some circles?
Speaker 7 (01:38:31):
What circles are.
Speaker 8 (01:38:36):
I've seen a lot of people Burrows getting the super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (01:38:41):
You were an electric force.
Speaker 8 (01:38:44):
Oh, I've seen it on plenty of different sport publications.
I'm not talking about Bengals fans. I'm talking about people
legitimately saying that they are contender for the super Bowl.
And if you look at the run that they had
last year, that's not easy to think about unless you
realize that they're the Bengals. But I still think that
(01:39:04):
the Bengals are a damn good team. And I don't
have a problem with Cleveland being confident and feeling good
about knocking their in state rival off and then next week,
this week, they get to take on the team they
took their team away from them. Now, pinpointing Derrick saying
he's not tough to tackle might have been a step
(01:39:25):
too far.
Speaker 6 (01:39:25):
You do realize that I played in his rivalary five
years and when I played in his rivalry. On the
other side, there was edri There was Terrell Suggs. There
was ray Lewis, There was Trevor Price came, there was
Hello Nada, there was Samariro, there was Chris mcche. There
were all these players, and Elvis Doomerville was there one week,
(01:39:46):
all these all these game breakers. Not one time did
I do an interview in Cleveland in the locker room
and I tell the playing delivery anybody else that was
a Cleveland syndication? Did I say, not worried about ray Lewis,
not worried about Torrell, could care less about ed Rey.
Speaker 8 (01:40:04):
Edy can't tackle?
Speaker 9 (01:40:06):
What?
Speaker 5 (01:40:06):
Never heard it? I never heard of Dayly's Thomas.
Speaker 1 (01:40:09):
Who's this guy?
Speaker 4 (01:40:10):
Nobody's worried about defense?
Speaker 6 (01:40:12):
And I was in Cleveland. I understood the rivalry. I
know they took the team away Art Models sold the
team in Baltimore. None of my business. My business on
the field, which delpit you're gonna find out? You better
not try to come up tackle twenty two.
Speaker 8 (01:40:26):
You'll be a lot big on providing people with bulletin
port material in general.
Speaker 5 (01:40:30):
Yeah, after after after, for sure, after for sure, all.
Speaker 8 (01:40:35):
Right, we'll get will you an in game talker.
Speaker 5 (01:40:38):
Only if you talk stuff.
Speaker 8 (01:40:39):
Okay, you didn't start it, finish it.
Speaker 5 (01:40:41):
No, Because I'm a big wine, I can get tired
out there. Man, I'm like say, I waste my breath.
Speaker 8 (01:40:45):
Who was the biggest smack talker on defense that you
played against, man.
Speaker 5 (01:40:48):
Richard Sherman.
Speaker 6 (01:40:49):
Yeah, Richard Sherman and keep to lead like they didn't
stop talking the whole game. Like then, I played on
the same team as Richard Sherman, and you just watched
him the sideline.
Speaker 5 (01:40:59):
He's jaw jacking the whole game. Like the whole game.
Speaker 6 (01:41:01):
He has something to say every single play, and it's
different conversation. He's It's actually funny.
Speaker 8 (01:41:06):
If I could play like Sherman, I'd have been running
my mouth a whole damn time too.
Speaker 4 (01:41:09):
Man.
Speaker 5 (01:41:10):
All right, so you think yes on the Brownsie, you
have a shot. Everybody else's Ravens.
Speaker 8 (01:41:14):
I think it's gonna be a close game. But the
Ravens win that game.
Speaker 6 (01:41:16):
We already did the Bears Lions. We don't have to
talk about that one again. Broncos coach. Not necessarily that interesting.
Speaker 17 (01:41:22):
It is no Indiana Jones, I put it on here,
Indiana Jones and thirty points the new Brock Bauers and
Ty Warren, DJ Gettings backing up Jonathan Taylor, you're not
excited about them putting up thirty points.
Speaker 8 (01:41:38):
Might be an actual team this year.
Speaker 5 (01:41:40):
You like the underdog.
Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (01:41:42):
I see you gravitate to us. Y.
Speaker 8 (01:41:44):
I'm a Ty Warren and DJ Giddens fan. I'm not
a Colts guy at all. I love the nickname Indiana Jones,
and I gotta say that guy he was pretty darn
good his rookie year. That is, he was terrible most
of the time because us that franchise was terrible. Look
what Saquon did when he left. So is it that
(01:42:04):
crazy to think that Indiana Jones could be as good
as he was for the rest of the season in
Week one?
Speaker 1 (01:42:11):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (01:42:12):
Quite simple.
Speaker 6 (01:42:14):
Do you have anything in the superjet We gotta get
caught up with any super chatz. Anybody in the common
sex and talking crazy?
Speaker 10 (01:42:20):
Hey, you know what people are soo have been talking crazy,
but uh, the chat has been live. Man, I'm definitely
gonna keep my eyes peeled on some things. I'm going
Martin grab some stuff. I know B Martin had a
super chat in their.
Speaker 8 (01:42:32):
Fantasy question, which I did answer in the chat. I'll
say it out loud. Do I start Hollywood Brown against
Philly or Jamo against the Bears. Hollywood Brown is the
only healthy target on that team. You saw what he
did in three quarters of being the man six for
ninety plus that offense. That team they need a win.
Same kind of deal here for Detroit. But I don't
(01:42:53):
see us saying, hey, Jamo's the key to victory. The
run game and the offensive line are the key of victory.
Speaker 6 (01:43:00):
I gotta I got something funny before we go to
commercial break. We'll bring it down one last game. We'll
go to commercial break, we'll come back, we'll finish the show.
So the league that we're playing in for fantasy is
my first time playing in one of these leads. I
didn't know that I was supposed to put up a
bid for the trading block man. What so I was
going after I was going after Quentin Johnson too.
Speaker 8 (01:43:19):
You got him for a zero dollars, didn't you?
Speaker 7 (01:43:21):
You got him?
Speaker 5 (01:43:21):
Oh that's right, and I actually I play against you
this week. Got things?
Speaker 7 (01:43:28):
No I got, No, I got, I got.
Speaker 8 (01:43:29):
Kool Aid doesn't set his line up in basketball or football,
so it's a layup.
Speaker 5 (01:43:33):
Yeah, I was down eighty five and came back and
be cool aid on some lucky stuff.
Speaker 8 (01:43:38):
But I said that in front of kol Aid.
Speaker 7 (01:43:40):
He's smile over.
Speaker 8 (01:43:40):
Everybody says line up.
Speaker 4 (01:43:41):
Yeah, yeah, you got me up for folk? Now you
got me? I take that person.
Speaker 5 (01:43:46):
Man, who's on your team? Answer? Uh, Joe Burrow, that's
why you lobbying?
Speaker 4 (01:43:52):
So maybe now maybe Bingals here second team?
Speaker 8 (01:43:59):
Okay, No, I've never been a Bengal. I was happy
when John Taylor caught that winning touchdown over the Bungo.
I remember where I was watching that game.
Speaker 5 (01:44:12):
No, that was the second time they be That was
the second time.
Speaker 8 (01:44:14):
That was early eighties.
Speaker 5 (01:44:16):
Was the one of the Super eighty seventh.
Speaker 4 (01:44:18):
I couldn't tell you who.
Speaker 10 (01:44:20):
And I do have a question like before we you know,
get to the mailbag and everything. I want you guys
to be able to think about this as we are
saying what up though? To some friends our acts, what's

We appreciate you smash that like button place great question
before we tapped out real quick man, it was worse
Super Bowls of all time.
Speaker 5 (01:48:30):
Obviously you quickly bought up one.
Speaker 6 (01:48:32):
So I didn't even even added to the list that
rams Patriots super Bowl trash.
Speaker 4 (01:48:37):
I don't care.
Speaker 5 (01:48:38):
I don't care what the excuse is.
Speaker 6 (01:48:40):
Fine, it is great. No convo, cheeks, trash, halftime shows, trash.
See these are mine.
Speaker 7 (01:48:47):
Here we go.
Speaker 5 (01:48:48):
Forty nine Ers Broncos fifty five to ten. It was
a total butt whooping by the forty nine. Yeah, this
was nineteen eighty eight.
Speaker 6 (01:48:57):
That moment said, uh, Seahawks Broncos. We all saw that
when games started off with a safety, what did you.
Speaker 5 (01:49:02):
Think it was gonna ensue it? Game was horrible. Shout
to my former team. Only thing I'm mad about is
I played for him the year before.
Speaker 6 (01:49:09):
So thanks very much for the Super Bowl ring forty
nine Ers Chargers that'd have been ninety four. Ny Tron
Means and Stan Humphreys take on the forty nine. They
blew them out of the water game start to finished.
Dion had to pick Jerry s j Rice had almost
two hundred yards total offense. Ricky Waters and also my guy,
the lefty, Steve Young also Ravens Giants. We told them
(01:49:32):
arguably the greatest defense of all time the Baltimore Ravens
in two thousand. All the Giants had. Their only offense
was a kick return. That was all they had the
rest of that game, thirty four to seven. That Ravens
team was so bad in that playoffs, I want to
say they were only they were only like thirteen to
sixteen points scored by the opposition against the Ravens.
Speaker 5 (01:49:53):
And then you guessed it.
Speaker 6 (01:49:54):
Last year, ladies and gentlemen, the Chiefs and the Eagles,
how dare we not put them on that list?
Speaker 5 (01:49:59):
That was arguably the worst performers I've ever seen. No
longer fear you said, no longer, no longer fear they aren't.
Speaker 13 (01:50:06):
He is.
Speaker 6 (01:50:07):
But I wouldn't make that mistake if I was, If
I this week, if I was, the Eagles, don't go
into that game thinking they're not the same squad.
Speaker 5 (01:50:14):
He's a magic man. He is a magic man. But
I don't think it'd be I don't think it'd be
a game this week.
Speaker 7 (01:50:19):
For me.
Speaker 8 (01:50:19):
It was back mass and I were on the couch
for Super Bowl five when the Baltimore Colts defeated the
sixteen to fifteen, and there was eleven total turnovers between
both games. Probably the ugliest Super Bowl I was around four,
and then you know, I wasn't a big fan of
the Bears winning it in Super Bowl twenty and obviously
(01:50:42):
Patriots only put up ten points, got slacked by thirty
six points. But it was a Super Bowl five for me.
Speaker 5 (01:50:47):
That's your older voice, that's.
Speaker 8 (01:50:50):
Your I just asked AI and I eleven turnovers one game.
That's pretty nasty.
Speaker 5 (01:50:56):
As to how many by by his team that would
be the it that would be It's a good question.
Speaker 8 (01:51:00):
You know, eleven five Billio teams not combined, not sure,
but sixteen to thirteen Rowe.
Speaker 5 (01:51:05):
Barnburner sixteen to thirteen real bar at least was close.
Speaker 6 (01:51:08):
That cheas Eagles game. Man, we didn't talk about Chiefs Eagles.
Obviously this is a Super Bowl rematch, much being made
about it. It's just not the same team for the
Kansas City Chiefs. They have problems at the wide receiver position,
problems at the running back position.
Speaker 5 (01:51:20):
Is a Kareem Hunt is ije.
Speaker 8 (01:51:21):
But I'd like to see some Brishard Smith.
Speaker 5 (01:51:23):
Here you go, is a name.
Speaker 8 (01:51:26):
They need to figure something out because losing Xavier Worthy
and Travis Kelsey, Pfizer Swift being more interested in the
stands than the the down markers, they are desperate for
some offensive punching power and right now their defense is
good enough to get them through these games, the six
games that Rushie Rice is suspended for. All this team
(01:51:48):
has to do is make the playoffs, because we've counted
them out in week eight and week twelve, week four,
how many different times? And as you mentioned to start
the show, what did they go on to do?
Speaker 3 (01:51:58):
Ryan?
Speaker 6 (01:51:58):
I heard you when you give me your your bets,
when you're giving your bets for Caesars talking about Central
Michigan and University of Michigan happen? What is your true
thoughts on the game tomorrow, in which you and I
both will be in an our.
Speaker 9 (01:52:11):
My thoughts are the chipwalls are gonna cover, They're not
gonna win. But what's gonna happen is is they got
an army offensive coordinator. What are they gonna do? Run? Run, Ron, Run,
even when it's third and thirty. We've seen this season
they run the football. But no, But for Michigan's part,
I still think, yeah, exactly, they filter in three quarterbacks,
which means they don't have one quarterback. But but no,
(01:52:34):
I think that the Wolverines are gonna come out early
and we're gonna see the offense. It's still not quite
as cohesive as I would like. Yet, I still think
Michigan struggling with an identity at the moment. I don't
think they know quite exactly what to do with Bryce Underwood,
and I think they should let him sling it. But
I think that the chipwase. They're not gonna keep it close,
(01:52:54):
but they're not gonna lose by I think the lines
twenty seven and a half, they're not gonna lose by
four scores.
Speaker 6 (01:53:00):
I think they know what they're I think they know
what their identity is. They're just trying to get to it.
I think it's the same situation with the Detroit Lion.
Speaker 5 (01:53:06):
Cautiously get the Lions know what the identity is. They're
just trying to get to it.
Speaker 8 (01:53:10):
And you don't want to let him get hurt running
the ball, and you don't want to stap his confidence
throwing a bunch of touchdowns. Yeah, they and you know
I hate to side with with the corn and blue.
But he he's somewhere. He's very similar to Matt Stafford
what I saw to him early on. The guy has
like so many different throws the sidear. I mean, he'd
probably throw it behind the back, you know, but he
(01:53:33):
is there. I don't It's it's partly his inexperience, but
I think it's also partly the inexperience of Michigan having
a quarterback like that to figure out, you know, and
they they had a taste of JJ in that last
year and having a mobile quarterback, they kind of figured
it out, but it still wasn't until the fourth quarter
where JJ, much like last week, just rose above it
(01:53:54):
all and willed his team to a win. I don't know, man,
It's gonna take some time, and it might take a
couple of losses. But Underwood'll be just fine.
Speaker 3 (01:54:03):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:54:04):
I think so too.
Speaker 9 (01:54:04):
I think he'll be great. He's got too much talent
not to it's not to be good. And I think
that there's too much talent with Bryce Underwood that Michigan
is trying to, you know, when to dial up the
right part of Bryce Underwood, whether it's his legs, whether
it's throwing deep, whether it's play action, whether it's one
of the ball with Justice Haines. But I think Michigan.
I think as the three years of Bryce Underwood continues,
(01:54:26):
it's just gonna get better, better and better. But right
now they're still working out The offensive line still scares.
Speaker 8 (01:54:31):
Me, he said, with them.
Speaker 9 (01:54:33):
Yeah, but there's no way Bryce Unwood doesn't is not
there for all three years.
Speaker 8 (01:54:37):
You mean he couldn't leave after two I thought he
was the generational quarterback.
Speaker 9 (01:54:41):
Well, I don't think he's allowed to leave after two years.
Speaker 5 (01:54:44):
I don't think they have that contractual language yet, but
I think it definitely.
Speaker 1 (01:54:48):
Will be on the way.
Speaker 6 (01:54:49):
Here we go, let's do this before we get I
don't like I don't like uh where. I don't like
picking games and then not keeping track. So from now
on we will be keeping.
Speaker 5 (01:54:59):
Track on the scores around the league. Let's go. So
we'll start here. Giants, Giants, Cowboys.
Speaker 9 (01:55:07):
Ryan, I'm gonna go Cowboys, girls.
Speaker 5 (01:55:14):
Cool cowboys. I'm gonna actually take.
Speaker 1 (01:55:20):
The Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (01:55:21):
Okay, I thought he was gonna say, I really want
to take the Giants.
Speaker 4 (01:55:24):
Trying to make the Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (01:55:27):
Yeah, can I take the giants.
Speaker 8 (01:55:29):
We're all taking the girls.
Speaker 4 (01:55:33):
All right?
Speaker 5 (01:55:33):
I take the Cowboys. Here we go Stiller's Seahawks.
Speaker 4 (01:55:36):
What do you have?
Speaker 5 (01:55:36):
Anson Steelers? Stealers?
Speaker 9 (01:55:40):
Ryan Steelers are my sneaky playoff team stealers.
Speaker 4 (01:55:46):
Yeah, I didn't want to pick against them, but.
Speaker 5 (01:55:48):
I'm going to go Seahawks.
Speaker 8 (01:55:51):
Alma, that's all that pick is.
Speaker 5 (01:55:54):
Mike McDonald care less about that. I just think it's
that defense, Like I like that defense.
Speaker 6 (01:56:00):
That defense they were held last week on the forty
nine Ers like legitimately so and brock Prairie he could
move a little bit more than But what I'm saying
is brock Prairie was get around when he was playing
last week. Aaron won't be able to do that. Rams tightened.
This was either everybody taking the Rams.
Speaker 5 (01:56:18):
Yes, I should hope so alight right on that one.
Bill's Jets, Ryan Bells, you're.
Speaker 4 (01:56:26):
Gonna pick against Braylen's Jets like that Bills.
Speaker 5 (01:56:29):
By the way, Yes it's in New York.
Speaker 8 (01:56:32):
I'm gonna go with the Jets.
Speaker 5 (01:56:34):
Wow, shout out a g all right, cool Aid, I'm.
Speaker 4 (01:56:38):
Gonna go with the Bills.
Speaker 10 (01:56:39):
I feel dirty picking against mister Aaron Glenn and Tenor
x Strain, but I gotta go with the Bills on.
Speaker 8 (01:56:43):
This one, all right, I upset special up pray.
Speaker 5 (01:56:46):
I'm gonna go with the Bills as well. You don't start.
Speaker 6 (01:56:50):
I mean, the only thing is if you you know,
you beat Lamar Jackson the beginning of the year, and
you got too high and you rested on that laurel
of that, like, oh man, we beat them already.
Speaker 5 (01:56:58):
Are the distinct and we're good and go and get.
Speaker 8 (01:57:01):
Or Aaron Glenn yelling at you all week. We're gonna
defend this house.
Speaker 9 (01:57:05):

Speaker 9 (01:57:20):

Speaker 8 (01:57:20):
No, come on, no one's picking the Dolphins in anything
right now, not even why is your hand right right?
Speaker 9 (01:57:29):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (01:57:30):
It's the Pats, Pats and Dolphins.
Speaker 8 (01:57:33):
The Dolphins just looks so miserable. All stick with the Pats.
Speaker 4 (01:57:36):
I gotta go with the Pats.
Speaker 1 (01:57:37):
Man.
Speaker 6 (01:57:38):
The Dolphins will have the number one pick. It will
be them or the Panthers. I promise you it's gonna
be one of the other. All right, here we go, Bengals, Jags,
give me the Jags Bengals struggle nearly go into the Okay,

Speaker 5 (01:57:54):
They are one in twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:57:56):
Now I'm gonna go Bengals, though, I'm gonna go.
Speaker 8 (01:58:00):

Speaker 5 (01:58:02):

Speaker 8 (01:58:04):

despite their run. They've got to win this game. Like
