Speaker 1 (00:00):
Those masks either anybody wear a mask, the sleep mask, yeah,
or lights. Well no, no, I was, I'm not talking
about I'm just talking about.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
The block division. Yeah, right now, I don't need those
all right? When I go, I go.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
I couldn't do I couldn't do a full mask. If
people have sleep apnea, I don't know how they do it.
I couldn't do a full mask.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
They told me one like. I went and got tested
for it because one of the NFL kind of testing situations.
They want to test all the things, and sleep apne
was one of them. So when I went and did
my test, they said, you know, you're whatever the level was.
I was fit like like twelve more above what the
level was. So it's not terrible, but you know, we
would recommend to sleep apney mask. I bet you would.

(00:43):
You're trying to get paid. I said, I don't need
no mask. I said, what's the other options? And they said, well,
you can do a mouthpiece. So so I got a
mouthpiece and I.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Was like, I wanted, I wanted, Yeah, I want. Did
that last?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
It didn't last very long. I said, you know what,
I'm just going to change the way I eat and
change the way I diet change the way I'm gonna
figure this stuff out.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
You think that's a that's a.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Once you put into your body, the rest time you
get the proper rest time, like all that masks working out.
Releasing those white blood cream.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
At nine o'clock is not recommended, is what you're telling you.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Because so I started doing these things. I started laying
off some things. Hint, hint, and I like, hint, hent
is enough? Okay, laying off something, all right, I wasn't smoking,
so okay, it wouldn't be smoking.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Okay, we know he paid well Broccolini.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Yeah, already probably helps.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah, all right, those things can help.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
But well I gotta take your mask. Okay, I'm not either,
because I'm doing that right now. I'm doing this smoking,
I'm doing this. I'm doing this, uh this sleep test
right now. It looks like a watch and it plugs
into something that you wrap around your finger and then
you do the Yeah it's weird. But then you've got

(01:58):
an app on your phone. So I've done it too nights.
I got to do it one more night.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I like stayed over night to do the testing. Exact
my testings right down the street in Troy. Yeah, I
went to the Sleep Center in Troy.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, people told me to go there to so I'm
not having anybody watch me sleep. I went there.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
It was weird because I checked in around like eleven.
I got there eleven fifteen. I ordered door dass.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Because I hadn't eat.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
It was a long day. It's a long day. I
went to an event. The event didn't have food, went home.
I got to the sleep center. I said, shoot, I
haven't eating, so I door dad some food, eat salad. Yeah,
it wouldn't sound this day. It was some bs, but yeah,
I got to sleep around twelve forty five. I woke
up like three thirty years the bathroom, and then when
I woke up at six fifty, they said, hey, we

(02:37):
can get you out here if you want. I said,
what did you guys really test? Like I really didn't
sleep enough. But apparently they got all the information that
they needed.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Okay, that's that's that's during the NFL. So that this was,
this was after this, This was.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
This was back in May.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Oh, so you've had it done twice. Yeah, okay, all right,
Yeah I don't want people watching me sleep. I don't
I don't need that. You know, there's certain things that
I'm gonna protect a little bit. You know, I don't need,
you know, me kicking and and meet punching and me
snoring and me drooling, and yeah, people watching, that's a
good point. Watch that is a good point. If they're

(03:15):
watching me right now, they're watching us have fun on
the Brailan Edwards shilluh, don't forget to uh, you know,
smash that like that, as KOOLI would would oftentimes say, well,
last night we watched a little Monday night football. I'm
sure you did too. Wow, I'm glad I didn't play
Jalen Hurts as my fantasy quarterback because I would have

(03:36):
lost my game instead of smashed that like Button won
that game and finished ten and four on the year.
So that was some type of ugly ass Philadelphia Eagles offense,
wasn't it.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Speaking of ten and four, go ahead and put up
those those fantasy.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Leave right into that, Kol.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
You said, ten and four, Yeah right there, your boy
brother wont with another Just look at the points the
less you know, I tell you have a bad team.
Look at my points and totally I got the lowest
points of any league.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
But you know what I'm looking at. I'm looking at
the ten and four record. That's what I'm looking at.
Have no reason a bitch about it. I'm your ten
and four man.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I mean, come in to my team's bady, So pete.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
If your team's that bad, how'd you get to ten
and four?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Because the right guys playing at the right time.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Alright, So Hallie Roseman is to my right. Now.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I was just about say we got coach Braying. Now
we got GM Bright.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
So here's my question. I got ridiculed by my sons
because I named my team Oldie but a goodie. Right,
all right, I'm the oldest guy in the group, So
are you cool? Do you like that? Do you like that? Okay,
oldie but a goodie? And my kids are like, wait minute,
you're supposed to name it after somebody on your team,

(04:53):
So maybe I could have named it Hurts so good. Uh,
Pat Stafford, I don't I don't know whatever. You named
it Team B one to goat B.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
That was no.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
I get that. You got the one to go? Yeah,
Brailan edis one to go. Did you get any ridicule
from people who I guess people did name their Justin
named it after his last name. I will say this, No, Vassaline.
Nice job answer, Well, where's where's kool aid? It's not
Big Tucky. He's in the bottom.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I just doesn't go that farm since he didn't want
to trade me Chen and I got.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
On, I didn't train and then they got hurt.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Where perlet go?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Maybe the name of his team is Vasoline.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Yeah, they said I TV like his faction was so hard.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yeah, I get it. I was just wondering if anybody
like Gon gives it, gives it to you give gives
v right there you go, voter thirteen to one. Boy,
Just bros, Bros.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
The squad is cheating. It's ridiculous how great the squad is.
But he drafted it right, Like that's just doesn't mean
that che just means like it's so good.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
It's sorry.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
You got some bro is like the nicest, most honest
guy you ever meet. He's got Jamier Gibbs, Jonathan Taylor
and Jackson Smith and ja that's just three.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
That's nuts.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
That three he had Dames Jones with Dames Jones was hot.
He got off Dame Jones got another quarterbacks, so that.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
A couple of Michigan guys at the top of that.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Hey, what I'm saying, Michigan want Michigan picture, Michigan crown
is yours as you see.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Yeah, I do see that he has the crown and
you've got a crown. How many ranking the playoffs in
this eight? Eight? That's the eight, all right? So you
gotta buy first week? Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (06:46):
I don't want to buy because I got Eagles defense
against the Raiders. I need that first with you on that,
And I got Christian McCaffrey back off by the week,
like I'm happy about this week. Yeah, not so much
as last week, but getting into last night and with
that game was for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles. It
was a bad game, but it really just lets you
know how good that team is, how good that defense is,

(07:07):
if you will, because they play a lot of bad offense.
And still they beat the raven the Rams, still, they've
beat the Packers as Still they were in this game
to win this game. Still, they were in the Bears
game to win that game. But it's on the offensive
side of the ball where there struggling. When you watch
the game, it's similar energy to the Detroit Lions. And

(07:28):
hear me out in that regard, you have a head
coach who's a good head coach, but a coordinator kind
of dependent head coach. Nothing wrong with that. A lot
of coaches have won multiple championship championships that way. Every
time Sirianni loses his coordinators, his team play drops where
it was a year they lost to the Chiefs, and
then he came back. The next year they were they
were ten and seven, snuck into the playoffs, if you will.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
I think they won the first I think they started
like and then and.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Then it fell off the rails once you had offensive
linement injuries and hint to where I'm going, then you
get kill themore. Last year, everything works out. Everybody's healthy.
It looks amazing.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
What's going on?

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Lindsey Hunter? I see you out there?

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Hey, wait, what's going on? Getting your haircut?

Speaker 4 (08:05):
In hair?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
I know he ain't getting your hair out of here?
Come on up here, what's up? I know this is
where you come get your haircut.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Don't you try to play that with me.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Lindsey is a forty nine Ers fan, so he'll appreciate
some of his NFC conversation. But just looking at where
the Eagles were with the Eagles are that offensive line play?
Getting back into this season, the offensive line player struggle.
Landon Dickerson's been injured the whole season. Lane Johnson he
got injured again. It was a different injury last night.
Lane Johnson's been out that He've had some injuries on
the other side. And now you have a quarterback that

(08:38):
is one of those quarterbacks that when you give him
protection and you give him a running game, he's very successful.
When you don't get him protection and you don't give
him a running game. The majority of the Johnson rushing
you that last night came off of a fake Tis
pu scenario. Now that quarterback has to beat you and
he can't, and then you look at the defense. That's
what saving him. I think it's similar to the Lions

(08:58):
eut of this year. You lose some coordinator, offensive line
nowhere near what it was offensive, they run the identity,
trying to figure it out throughout the year.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
It's good.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
It's very similar, really good observation. That's why I'm so
mad they didn't beat the Eagles. Remember I said the
Eagles are not a good out, They're not a good team.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
You're right.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
This is why I'm so frustrated how the Lion has
played that night because The Eagles are a very beatable
team for sure.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
And when you look at we always talk about pressure
with golf. I sent you this earlier, the numbers for
Jalen Hurts last night when pressured three for thirteen forty
one yards. Let me reiterate that, three for thirteen forty
one yards. It's a guy who's won a championship with

(09:41):
the MVP of the championship. I'll play the other guy
in his previous Super Bowl, even though they lost. I
think he's a good quarterback and I think he's a
great one. I think he's a good quarterback, and he
possesses a lot of trades people like to have, and
rightfully so.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
When you have the best offensive line in the NFL,
which I believe the Eagles have had for the past
four years, the Lion right there a number two, you
can interchange them. That's fine. I go with the Eagles.
When you have the best line in football, you have
weapons that play for you both both sides of the
ball for wide receivers and in the backfield. They've had
constant running backs in the last five years, including last year.

(10:14):
You get Sakuon Barkley. You see what he did when
everything's clicking. It looks like this now when it's not cooking.
Now when the offensive line is struggling. Now, when there's
some beef between the wide receiver and the quarterback, you're
asking Jalen Hurts to sit in the pocket and beat
you as a pocket passing quarterback. And that's not what
he can do. Put him under center, like, that's not

(10:34):
what they do. And you're asking, like when you watch
the defense to the Chargers, charges, aren't that good of
a football team right now? Like, I know what the
record says, they're not that good of a football team.
They lost their tackles and struggled a little bit. But
when you line Jayden Hurts up, put them in shotgun
and say hi, the secondary knows to put their feet
at a certain mart lined up, it's not going this far,

(10:56):
it's not going past this. You can put your heels
on the line, you can keep everything in front of
you and forcing to beat you. You become reactionary and
have a quarterback that's not built like that to beat you.
So that's what's going on with the Eagles. They're asking
Jalen Hurts to be somebody.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
He's not five field goals, man.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I mean He's an amazing player when all the pieces
are right, Like the Super Bowl they lost to the Chiefs.
He got to play Patrick mahon for sure. He got
to play Patrick Mahomes the Super Bowl last year. You
saw what he did, but everything was everything was a
line right right now, they're trying to ask him to
do something he can't do.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
Yeah, that's a bad look. And then of course people
will eventually look at what they'll look what You'll say,
bad loss for Detroit against Philadelphia. So I think that's
that's exactly it. Let's bring up our friend lind Hunter Lee.
Can you come on up your buddy, man? You look good.

(11:50):
You look so good. I just saw him the other day.
He looks good.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
You know.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Why is everybody saying about my hands?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
How's the tough world champion doing? All right?

Speaker 6 (12:03):
Pretty good man, pretty good? Enjoying his football season. I
was listening to what you guys were saying. I was
arguing with a buddy of mind about this. That exact
same thing, the exact same thing I told him. So
our argument is always top five quarterbacks in the league.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Right.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
I've always said that you want to start a conversation
if there's nothing going on a party. Okay, we've got
six people in this studio. Here's what you do. You know,
I think the greatest quarterback all time is or you
know what quarterback? Yeah right, right, yeah, okay, so go ahead.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
We're talking. And he always wants to put Jalen Hurts
up there. And I like Jalen Hurt. I like him.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
I think he's done a great job. But he's not
he's not special. He's really good, really good system quarterback.
And what you said, I said the same thing. Everything
is perfect for him.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
He's great.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
Sakawara Barki had almost what two thousand yards rushing last year?

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Yeah, yeah, so.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
That made Jalen Hurts job so much.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Easy with the best offensive line, the best.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
Offensive line, with the weapons that he has around on
the outside and right.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
The cool thing about it, too, is we live in
an era where whenever you say things like this it's
called haiti as opposed to the era when we were
in his car just telling the truth, like Jalen Hurst
was this at Alabama. Jalen Hurst is a really good quarterback.
All things weren't exactly great. He put usself in a
situation where he couldn't close the door. He did that twice.
He got he got benched. You saw who took over
to a tongue about lower. He goes to Oklahoma, things

(13:24):
are really good, not necessarily perfect. He gets his team
to the playoff, gets a chance to do it again. Yeah,
he can't close the door. You get an opportunity with
the Eagles. The Eagle situation was amazing almost but just
came up short against the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Last year.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
He closed the door a much better year. But everything
was perfect last year. And it's not taking anything away
from who Jalen hurt is. He deserves. He deserved to
be drafted, he deserves his Super Bowl trophy and everything else.
This is just being honest. He's not the first quarterback
that has needed that is needed much more quarterback Brad Johnson. Johnson,

(14:00):
he was big man as he.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Wouldn't necessarily want to either one of them. But here
you go.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
But it's okay to be rich Gannon got through the
Super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Jeff Hosteler, Yeah, just like er off.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Ty Gurley, Brandon Cooks.

Speaker 4 (14:18):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Like it's called a team sport for a reason.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
It is, But I think people look at it as
hating because.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
All you're hating on him.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
I'm no, We're just we're speaking facts about what the
situation is. You know, when when you look at Patrick Mahomes,
Patrick Mahomes won super Bowls with you thought he shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Have won, shouldn't have gotten there last.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
So there's a difference.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
He's an all time great. There's no doubt. Who else
is special?

Speaker 6 (14:43):
Death Uh special? So I had three guys I said
we're special.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Mahomes was one.

Speaker 6 (14:51):
I think, although the two guys haven't got to the
super Bowl yet.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
So it's Allan Jackson, yes, not the singer, but.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Yeah, those are the three guys I say are special.

Speaker 6 (15:03):
Like like, I just think those guys don't need everything
necessarily be perfect for them to self.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
So you don't think Stafford would be in there.

Speaker 4 (15:11):
Oh he's close, He's he's really close because he is.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
But but once again, his mobility is a little bit limited.
I love his hard and his toughness, but he's not
special like those guys.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Yeah, he won a super Bowl already and he's about
to win another one.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
I think.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
His arm is special.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
Knowledge is special, but arm Tyler, I think he's a
tier below Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
You talking all the time you're talking about period, like when.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Aaron Rodgers was in his prime, he was like unbelievab.
I think Stafford is not quite as great as Aaron
Rodgers was, but he's close.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
You're an NFC fan, obviously a forty nine fans. While
because you're fan.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
I don't like the other teams in the NFC, I
just like yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
But also when we were younger and were watching I
was watching Fox because I like the roll Bot and
I like all the NFC team like AFC, like AFC.
I wasn't trying to watch the Bills, the Chargers, the Raiders.
Once I watched the BRONC, watch all watch who the
Hell's Bears is going against. I was also trying to
watch out the vision the forty nine ers.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
With my squad.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
I just love the NFC. So anyway, you're forty nine
ers in good position, good ball right now, looking at
the upcoming schedule, they sit in nine wins. They have
the Titans, that's the win. I believe the Coats with
a forty four year old Philip Rivers, I believe that's.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
What he already signed signed. He's not gonna play what
he might play.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
A series or two he's gonna get knocked out plan
then that's another win. Then they play the Bears in
forty nine ers, and I think coming off that Green
Bay game, I think that could be a potential winning
They play the Seahawks. Where do you think the forty
nine ers are doing the playoff? Because they're gonna make
the playoffs, how do they stack against the other wild
card in the hunt teams?

Speaker 4 (16:58):
Well, so here's the thing.

Speaker 6 (16:59):
When I when I look at like, I look at
who can win the Super Bowl? Okay, that's what I
look at.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
So they skipped the forty nine exactly, you don't think
they can win it.

Speaker 6 (17:09):
I don't think the stars would have to align in
an amazing way. What has to happen for the forty
nine ers to win the Super Bowl without like two
of the all time great players being out?

Speaker 2 (17:23):
I think you gotta stand focused as much as who's
not gonna be there, and focused on who we.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Brought guys them from the practice squad. At some point
talent starts to run at usbout how great so guys
are playing?

Speaker 2 (17:35):
So getting in the next man up? How many teams
can win the Super Bowl this year? Then, because that's
the next.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
Question, Yes, I think there are there's like three teams
that I see that can win it.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
My number one team is the Rams. Okay, I think
they're agree Yeah, they're their front runners.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
To win their number one and power ranking. Yeah gotta be.

Speaker 6 (17:53):
I mean the way they're playing their steam roll game,
I think I still believe in the Lions.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Come on, Lee, are you gonna crack? I mean, you're
gonna tell me the forty nine ers don't have a
chance to help. But but the Lions due Lion better
team than the forty nine ers. See, that's why they
had you on your show. Fans, you got your guy here.
So y'all are telling me, I'm just wait, wait, wait
wait no, no, no, what I'm asking No, I'm just saying
forty dollars can't win if the forty nine ers don't

(18:22):
have a shot, how doy the Lions.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
Tell me Lions aren't better than the forty nine ers Right.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Now, I'm just answering, but no answer my question?

Speaker 4 (18:28):
Did I'll answer yours?

Speaker 2 (18:29):
I don't know. We So the Longs are better than
the forty.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Nine ers, I do not believe they are? Are you? God? Man?

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Do you watch? What?

Speaker 1 (18:38):
What is it? Your car? That's tea.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Yeah, that's oo long.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
You don't have a cup.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Oh my, it's oo long tea. Dude, you can I
just say it's not a good measured I'm just asking.
You've gone and even let me answer.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yeah, here's what you've done. You've said there's three teams.
You said the Rams the not You said the Lions
were second. You didn't say New England. You didn't say Denver.
You didn't say see Attle.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
You didn't say I don't believe in any of them.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Hold on, you didn't say green Bay that swept Detroit.
You said Detroit. Oh, okay, okay, all right, doesn't have
a shot.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
No, you believe in New England.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
I think the NFC is a better side. I just
asked the question. What I'm asking you believe.

Speaker 6 (19:27):
I don't believe in Denver, although their defense is phenomenal,
I don't believe.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
In I don't believe it. I do not believe in Denver.
I've said, oh yeah, I don't believe in bone Niggas consistent. Yes,
the New England Patriots. Even though he's a young cat,
I still believe in him.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
I believe fools go and what sense you don't think
a second, you're gonna get to a Super Bowl? Oh sorry,
Dan Marino, but what what what do you.

Speaker 4 (19:52):
What are you comparing his? God, Damn Marino.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
I don't say the second year quarterback has gotten to
a super You know.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
The good thing about that is we'll get our answer
coming up this week because the Bills and the Patriots
play Sunday. Yeah, this is the one o'clock game. That's
the game they play Sunday, and if they beat them,
maybe the second time they beat the Bills this year.
What about Josh Allen Monster? But what about his team
as a whole?

Speaker 1 (20:13):
Not very good? I know. Let let me shift gears.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
He's saving Sam mcdermot's GiB every week every week when
he shift gears.

Speaker 1 (20:28):
So, because we're not gonna agree on the football, last back.
And that's right. And by the way, I hope you're right.
I just don't believe you're right. You just got done
talking about San Francisco calling up practice squad members, and
the Lions have practice squad in their secondary against Matthew
Stafford this weekend. But I digress. There's a really good
shot of you behind you winning, you know, a World
Chip Championship night that is championship night, all right, and

(20:51):
and kudos to all the guys over there and the.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, and he got on the two K fours. I
know those I had the mission.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
I was going to say the human I was gonna
say the human cigar right there in darvin Ham. But
would you would you trade? Would you trade for Jo?

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Was about Andy Davis?

Speaker 1 (21:11):
No, that's no, I wouldn't say that. Would you trade
for Giannis Anto? If it required three players as in
Tobias Harris, sar Thompson, Jade and Ivy and four first round?
Me too?

Speaker 2 (21:26):
And that's coming from world town that did it here,
the guy who's coached, a guy who played. As long
as I.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Can keep doing, yes, I would do that deal.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
It was the one other player you would try to keep,
you get obviously obviously Kate doing for what they're building
as a two man game. We really appreciate that. Who's
the one other player that you would try to lie before?

Speaker 4 (21:47):
I try to keep Stewie huh not?

Speaker 1 (21:58):
Kay?

Speaker 4 (21:59):
I like him. I like he's developed a little, he's
got better.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
What is it with Stuard?

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Like?

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Explain what explained Isaiah Stewart to me?

Speaker 6 (22:06):
You need glue, guys, Yeah, you need guys that don't
necessarily need the ball all the time. And if you
go get Yannis honest demands the ball a lot, K's
going to demand the ball a lot. And now During
is developed into a twenty ten guy. So you got
three dominant ball guys that you need people out there
just to defend and just make plays play. So I

(22:28):
think he's unnecessary guy to have.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Patrick Beverly type of not not not not like that,
but more so.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
Yes, they like pressure, but but no, do you know what.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
I'm saying, He's a player that doesn't need to score.
That helps.

Speaker 4 (22:41):
Say somebody else.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Bro. Uh for a guy who's been in the media's
line as you have, I'm surprised you're still banging that
microphone on the desk. If you can hold a little higher,
I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
I'm sorry I got excited.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
I Uh, what is a championship material? You know exactly
what it is? Yes, What does this team possess that
is championship material in your mind?

Speaker 6 (23:11):
Well, I think listening to how they how they deal
with each other.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
Uh, it's really like a family.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
Like they remind me a lot of our old four
Pistons who we were like brothers. Like we fought each other,
we argued, but at the end of the day, when
it came to playing, it was all about when.

Speaker 1 (23:29):
This show well, I mean we argue quite a bit.
For us, it's supposed to be.

Speaker 6 (23:33):
I love that, and I see that in those guys,
and they really they really follow kid like they they
like their best player.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
You'd like to play with them when you absolutely that's important, like.

Speaker 6 (23:50):
Very important. And I think they have all the chemistry
and the makings to I. Okay, last year I predicted correctly.
Of course them winning forty four games.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
They did.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
He told me, yeah, credit, he did you really.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
You said they were gonna win? He thought they were
gonna get a thirty last year he did.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Roward dude before he said it in the summer, said
it too.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
I didn't say. I didn't say forty.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
You said they were going to have a good seat.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
I said thirty four. I never said forty.

Speaker 4 (24:21):
I said forty four. And this year I predicted I
predicted fifty.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
What did you tell me twenty four?

Speaker 4 (24:28):
I predicted fifty plus this year.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
There, listen, they're rolling their way.

Speaker 6 (24:33):
They're rolling so so if if if the stars alive
the way I hope they will. They have an opportunity
to get to the Eastern Conference finals.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Let's say it's not Yannis. Is there any move that
needs to be made for this team this year? Is
there a move that you think needs to make or
is a waiting see process for you?

Speaker 4 (24:51):
It's waiting see Okay.

Speaker 6 (24:53):
I've you know, I've been close to the team, just
watching and really rooting for him and why and how
they've developed. And Trajan has done a tremendous job of
being patient. And I remember when he first got hired.
My buddy Ted's was like, man, I don't nobody want
to hear that talking about wait and see. I was like, Bro,

(25:13):
you can't just every team. You can't go in and
blow up some situations. You have to wait and see
what you have. And I think he's done an excellent
job of like, hey, no, I'm gonna wait and see
what we got.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Let mean, you know, he tweaked it.

Speaker 6 (25:24):
He puts some veteran leadership around, and we brought Tim
Harnaway Junior in and the other guys did then you know,
he tweaked it.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
A little more of this year, small moves, but the
moves that he made fit perfectly.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Yeah, so you got the right coach.

Speaker 6 (25:36):
Yeah, you got the right coach, right demeanor for what
you have, and I think it's a wait and see you.
I think you play this season out if you can't
get Yannis. There's no other move that I would make
unless it's somebody you know, Anthony Edwards or something like
that happens, but those things don't really happen.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Yeah, you bought up something. Yeah, it was great when
you pay attention to listen to it. You don't want
to compare teams, especially when the team has already done
something because it puts, you know, unfair expectations on the team.
But looking at that old four team and what you
guys had in terms of liking each other, actually being brothers,
understanding the assignment, understanding what Larry was when Coach Brown
was asking of you, and knowing that you know what,

(26:13):
there's something here we can for negatives out and we
could be something different than the league is at this
current moment. I think it's similar to these pictures because
the league is Hollywood Flash, Well what's starting to happen,
and the Pistons are like, this is our little thing
right here in downtown Detroit this is we want this
to be different with it, we're good.

Speaker 6 (26:31):
Well, you know what's starting to happen in the NBA
is they're trying to go to Boston Celtic route.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
We're gonna get.

Speaker 6 (26:39):
Two stars that's gonna make all the money and we
try to surround them.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
With pieces and shoot a lot of threes.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
That just discusses me. But anyway, but.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
What they paid it was it worth in Boston?

Speaker 4 (26:51):
You got a chip out of it.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Can't be mad at it.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
They're playing better now, don't matter.

Speaker 4 (26:59):
You know, it's where as I do is winning the championship?

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Whatever you exactly or.

Speaker 4 (27:04):
Was it worth it?

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yeah, to get.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
One is worth it because you listen, man, to get
to the finals.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
Once you get there, you you think like you feel like, oh,
we're gonna be here at all time.

Speaker 4 (27:16):
Ye don't work that way.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Can I ask you the perception? What's the perception do
you think around basketball as Detroit in a destination position, Like,
do you think teams do you think players would want
to come play because of Kate Cunningham, because of the culture,
because of the Pistons history, because of the city. What
do you think adds to that?

Speaker 4 (27:37):
Absolutely?

Speaker 6 (27:37):
I think Kate is the centerpiece of why guys would
want to come here and play. You know, it's like, man,
I can go play with this kid. He is young,
he's talented, better, He's gonna help me get better because
you know, playing with a lot of like people don't understand.
If you go look at all the guys that Lebron

(27:58):
played with, they didn't get better, they got worse.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
Nobody got better playing with Lebron.

Speaker 6 (28:05):
Let's let's you know, Bron's a phenomenal talent and he'll
get you, you know, in his prime, could get you
to the finals.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
But everybody suffered around him.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
That's an interesting point.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
Everybody numbers went down. You can go look at across
the board.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Because you have to go you have to adapt to
his style of play that is Lebron, which changes night
tonight tonight exactly.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
That Lebron is one of the few players that has
never played in a system. Is yeah, he he you
have to you have to play his style of basketball.

Speaker 6 (28:33):
You have to or we got to get certain guys
around him. You know, d Wade had to change his
style of play. Chris Bosh suffered tremendously. You know, all
those guys the only guys that don't suffer are guys
like Kyrie who are.

Speaker 4 (28:49):
Just gonna go get theirs. Yeah, you know, and the
days he had to adjust, but he got better.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Like we're already top fifteen players obviously without you, right,
so we're gonna be good. Let us know.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
Exactly, and that's how it works.

Speaker 6 (29:09):
But Kate is a guy that you watch him play
and people thrive around him. Guys, guys, you know Beasley
had the best season of his career with Kate.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Yeah, you know, it's funny.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
I've used that.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
I've used that argument for another player in this town
but didn't win, and that was Stafford Pettigrew had Ebron.
All these different records that they set, Nate, Burlison, Golden Tate,
all the things they did their best years were.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
For that dude.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
Did he get the pay and you got Galla they
paid Cooper cub One and Calvin Calvin helped him. All
these guys help one another. But I'm sorry, Chris Durham
doesn't catch foo passes for anybody else. So you're absolutely right.
When when you first got to the Pistons, you're a
first round pick and you were you were a star.
Then you had to take a different role. How do

(30:02):
you think you helped that four championship team?

Speaker 6 (30:04):
Well, of course my leadership and uh, my mind.

Speaker 4 (30:10):
Well, you know, we were we were, we were. We
had a lot of strong personalities.

Speaker 6 (30:16):
On that team, and I always proud of myself for
being a truth teller, so I didn't really care. So
we had everybody adapted to everybody's personality. Like if I
went in and challenged and was like, yo, Chauncey stopped
breaking the playoff.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
Dude, you know what we're supposed to do, or you tripping?
Why you trying to show things that's not what you're due.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
All the time.

Speaker 6 (30:42):
So those are the type of things that I always
said to people, like I'll just speak my mind and
and and guys respected it. And it made us so
much better because we all felt like we could talk
to each other and say whatever and it wasn't personal.
That's cool, Yeah, And it's unique because I don't say,
don't find that you can't do that in today's game.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
I've talked to Darvin hair Me and Darwin talking all
the time, and.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
He was like, man, this is different, Like, like you know,
every team has a psychologist.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
We didn't have a psychologist.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
You were the psychologist.

Speaker 7 (31:15):
Every team has a psychologist every two and if if
if you even raise your voice a little too loud
at a player, they may turn you in and you
may have to go visit a psychiatrists and you may
have psychologists and talk about, hey, well, you know he's
been in a funk since you yelled at him about
getting back on defense.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
I've seen fistfights between teammates that had could have to
then go out there fill on Sunday and play side
by side on the offensive line or legitimate a quarterback
have to throw to a I receiver.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
It not me, It's not me, you.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
Know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Whatever, you.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Have this whole blow up, and it's like this said
now he said, this is done, and then all of
a sudden on Sunday, it's like you call a player,
I know where that pass coming, don't be on that
BS nowadays to just look the other way. We watched
the game recently where a plug quarterback looked off at
tight in the whole game because of some inner inner
stuff they got going on. It'll come to me, Yeah
that ain't cool.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
Oh man, that's oh my god.

Speaker 6 (32:12):
I've been looked up somebody looked me off before, but
I went right off to them.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Hey, don't don't fake me a past.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
If I'm open thro see you in lacker.

Speaker 4 (32:20):
Room, I don't play that.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
I'm not gonna fake it.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
You know, this thing became a theme fake to try
to get the guy to go back to you to
keep it.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Look, there's something going on in the NBA right now
where I've heard a lot of coaches in front office
people talking about it, talking about how foreign players seem
to appreciate, uh, the NBA a little bit more than
American born players. Are you believing in that? And if so, why,
well because of their upbringing.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
You know, these guys.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Until you're buying into it, I believe it.

Speaker 4 (32:52):
I believe it.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
I still was a dream to get over here and
play this sport, like it's like to get over to
America to Promise Land. It's a dream to go there
and then I have a career lack of Lottie d
Bloc or Saboni's or insert the older the younger or
the generation now the younger players in the country, it's like,
I know, I'm going I know this is what it is.
This is home for me.

Speaker 6 (33:10):
And also how they're treated when they're when they're in
those league, when they're playing in their their little league
teams or whatever.

Speaker 4 (33:17):
Those coaches are brutal with those guys over.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
There, are they They come here and the coach can't
say nothing to them.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
You get the best of the best.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
You're treated like a kid here. I don't want to
do what the coach says or whatever.

Speaker 6 (33:30):
But then it's not like that, So it's it's almost
impossible for them not to appreciate it more because our
guys we come up in the a These these newer
kids come up in the AAU leagues and they're not
going to college, and I just think you miss something
when you don't go to college.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Some of them aren't going to high school yet.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Now you're not going to high school. Really No, it's
it's getting out a hand, and I think you miss something.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Oklahoma City has went fifteen in a row. Roland they
won the other night in a blowout fashion without Shaye
Gilgis Alexander. They're twenty three up and only one role.
And how good are they? Because I know you watch
a lot of hoops. Braylan does too, and I really
respect that, but they I watched them the other day
and I was blown away and it was like shake Guilder's.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
School, dude.

Speaker 6 (34:16):
I watched them because they defend like crazy, they loutleader.

Speaker 4 (34:22):
I watched.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
I watched the ball being rotated in every guy that
rotated to the ball pressed up on the ball like
like old school, and I'm like, okay, that's why they went.
You know, of course they are talented offensively, but they defend.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
That's a buy in, isn't it.

Speaker 6 (34:38):
Yes, But when your best player does it, it's easy.
And then you got a bunch of young guys that's just.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Hungry give up one hundred and seven points a game.
I would ask that to both of you guys. Why
why is def playing defense? Giving that a little extra
Obviously Braylan didn't have to, but at some point he
had to block right right as a wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Claim Matthews, what why is that.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
So such a tough concept to grasp somehow?

Speaker 6 (35:06):
Because what's rewarded today? What's rewarded? What does everybody talking
about offense? How am I going to get to the league?
I gotta score. I got to be the best offensive
player out here, you know, not knowing that, you know,
when you get to certain levels. Everybody can score like
You're not coming on a team with Kate Cunningham only

(35:27):
thinking you're gonna be the number one option, you know,
and that and that's happened to a lot of kids.
That that happened to the kid out of Ipsy.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
I got you.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
You know, of course you were phenomenal in high school.

Speaker 6 (35:44):
But when he went down to Memphis, look we got
four of the All Americans.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
It's also like, it means that you, for lack of
a better words, it means you give a right. It
means that you care. It means that you care about
this game. It means you care about this team. It
means you care about this kindred. I don't have to
like anything about you, but when I see that, I
can go to war Wich, right, and we can go
to We won't have to like each other, but we're
gonna respect each other. And when you're on both ends
of the court doing it, when you're showing me, now,

(36:10):
I don't mind getting his bucket and then sprinting on
the other side and getting to the block, making sure
I got to do what I have to do. That
lets me know. You know, he's in it for the
reason that I'm in it, so I rock with this cat.
That's why that little bit goes so far.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
One of my favorite things of all time is from
a hockey coach and he said, when I asked him how,
what do you like most about your team? And he said,
the gas level is high? And they said, what do
you mean, gas leve? He said, the give a ship
level is really high. So you're playing at both ends,
which is something the pistons. I know we're gonna let
you go here, and I appreciate you stopping by. Thank you.
If you could play, I asked this a braidlin if
he could play with one quarterback, who would it be?

(36:44):
I ask you the same thing without the pistons. So
you can't say, Kate Cunham Jalender, Who's the one player
in the NBA you'd like the plight?

Speaker 4 (36:51):
Now?

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Right now?

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Why?

Speaker 6 (36:55):
Because I know I'm gonna get at least five threes
in the corner every night, because he's gonna find you
every single time. He makes the right basketball player play
every single trip.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
He's a unique fellow man. I mean, he's he looks
like this is a slumber.

Speaker 4 (37:13):
This is the funny thing.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
You know how a lot of tablet of his back right.

Speaker 6 (37:16):
A lot of times we like watching games for the excitement, like, oh,
this is what we know, he's gonna see some posters
from uh, you know whatever. I love watching Joker because
it amazes me at how he gets his business done
out on the court and how fast he processes everything.
He was playing the Clippers one night and the Clippers

(37:37):
were like, Okay, we just gonna gonna turn him into
a score. He when he got fifty, like, you're gonna
turn me into a score. But he is, like I mean,
he's amazing to watch, dude, he is. He's such a throwback.
He's a throwback with a with a with a modern
day twist because he can play the point.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
And he what is this dumb stats in decade he
leads in every single category.

Speaker 4 (38:02):
He's average app right now, And we marveled.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
We marveled when a point guard rightfullyself, now you're talking
about seven foot center doing that, a slow center that.

Speaker 6 (38:13):
But he's always like top three about m v P Ladder,
as it should be.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
So I got s g A.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
He's just so good that you disrespect what he does
because he does it all the time.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
That's a good point.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
I put him three. What did you know what he
did last night? He had fifty six, twelve and ten
and the correction he did earlier this year. But we
still go, it's okay, it's a normal joker game. We
do the stats for this guy or astronomical.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
He leads a league in rebounding. That sists. That's crazy seven.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
I think the best thing about him is for whatever
sport it is, when guys are doing astronomical numbers, what
do we always say, Well, this era is a little
more lose, it's more laid back. I understand he's like
the one player and him anywhere. You don't say that,
but I don't his stats. His I don't be like, well,
it's this error is not it's him because he's physical.

(39:06):
So he gets that credit. That's that's high praise man.
Everybody else you, well, they passed a lot, so I
can understand him. Yeah, he's amaging thirty six everybody shooting
from half court. Like, I don't say anything like that
about It's just he's him.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Yeah, it's interesting. You said the three m v ps
always in my m v P. You said him, you
said Shay, and you said Kate, those are my three.
He didn't say, Donic, he doesn't guard, and hell, I
know I'm with you on them. I love him as
a score.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
Tell me.

Speaker 4 (39:44):
But here's my thing.

Speaker 6 (39:44):
It's okay not not to be able to guard because
I know guys that couldn't guard.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Effort, but they tried.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
James Harden, he don't even try.

Speaker 4 (39:53):
I know Luca he don't even try.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Because he's like, shoot, I'm scoring fifty, I don't need to.
And that's that's the attitude that you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
It's brutal.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
It bothers me.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
For me, it's a tough watch. Everyone gets caught up
in the shooting and stuff like that. But if he's
just going to be a windmill, you know, and let
people blow right by him on defensively.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
The thing about all those points and all those stats
and all those things is we all know. Everyone in
here knows. Like whenever you've watched whatever you play, you
know this, like how now show start? You see all
those all star performers, seventy points, fifty points, whatever it is,
it's empty calories when you can't close the door. So
what happens with Luca is, yeah, all this stuff sounds great,
but when you don't close the deal when you get
to I mean, the championship and twice you fail, and

(40:35):
now we're just looking at what you're doing in the
regular season. I don't care that you do that anymore.
I no longer Anthony Edwards a lovely I no longer
care about the craziness. I'm at the point where they
have to turn that tide. That's where I'm at with Luke.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
That's truth.

Speaker 4 (40:49):
Guess what.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
That's why I liked Kobe somebody, yes, and that's why
I hated Jordan's hate him, but respected him more than
just about anybody, just because playing both sides.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
I've had this conversation that lost me with I was.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Like, yeah, I understand why. It's it's a little it's
very deep when it comes to the Pistons. And you
know that I know a lot of guys, say.

Speaker 6 (41:09):
The cigaret bar. This one guy was ready to fight
because I was. He was like, man, Jordan, ain't that good.
I was like, oh, come on, I say, look, brother,
I know you're from Detroit.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
It's okay, yeah, right. They want to be bad.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
They want to be so bad, that's listen.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Just so you know the difference between I. I admit
he's the greatest. Rkay. That doesn't mean I have to
like him, no, Okay, but I can at least admit it.
That's a hard thing in our society today. If you
don't like him, man, I hate Notre Dame. They will
belong to college football player. I would give a crap
if you like him or not? Do you believe they
belong or yes? Yes or no? We can't separate the two,
you know what I mean? No?

Speaker 2 (41:48):
No, yeah, along, he's not whining about it. Seventy two
hours you didn't get in.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
Yeah, yeah, we've got another one of that last thing.
And I've said this four times already, Jordan. What made
him special? What made him great?

Speaker 4 (42:02):
Well? You for one thing. Here, here's the thing that
I keep telling people.

Speaker 6 (42:07):
Because I loved I loved Kobe, the Kobe comparison. Yes,
but the late eighties, Michael Jordan, there was nobody.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
Like that ever ever. Like he was quick like me.

Speaker 6 (42:24):
With six six two ten jumping out the gym, could
guard anybody, and was unstoppable offensively, like.

Speaker 4 (42:32):
There was no like.

Speaker 6 (42:33):
We played pickup ball once and I remember playing pickup
ball and I was like, I went and called my dad.
I was like, yo, I ain't never seen nothing like this.
He's better than what you said.

Speaker 2 (42:44):
Also, two, they came from an air when people were honest,
Like when you're talking about that late eighties like Bird
and Magic, where arguably be the greatest players in the history,
with Kareem ap Dude Jabbar and a couple of other
names on our list, they all said out of their mouth.
They said it. Then they said in an interview, they
said Michael Jorge's best player in the league. They had
no problem. I was saying that they're still trying to
bust his ass. In fact, they still did right in
eighty eight. They still but they said it then. Nowadays

(43:07):
just like yeah, right right, you heard that from the
greatest players of all the time. Like, what are we
even talking about? Why do we need any novices?

Speaker 1 (43:15):
I don't need any validation there.

Speaker 6 (43:17):
But you know, there always has to be something to
throw out in the media to talk about.

Speaker 4 (43:20):
It's not even close. It's nobody close to this, dude.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
This comes from a guy who's starting basketball in high school,
played in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (43:29):
James Hollywood his high school team.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
I want He said the best player he ever played
against growing up was Chris Jackson and moved.

Speaker 4 (43:42):
Best high school player ever seen in my life.

Speaker 2 (43:43):
Politics got It's a whole different animal.

Speaker 1 (43:47):
Dude like could shoot from anywhere.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
He was like when did he cook Jordan's everybody? Well
for sure for Shure for sure, but like the camp
stuff when he was a kid. Yeah, he came out
and that's when he knew. He was like, what, like
he's like sixteen seventeen, he cooked them in camp.

Speaker 4 (44:02):
Dude. The dude could score.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
On anybody, Like like, I hold.

Speaker 1 (44:08):
Him, I.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
Get there to get the camp you know, I don't
want to be responded him.

Speaker 6 (44:17):
I held him to sixteen points in a in a
tournament in uh.

Speaker 4 (44:21):
In at Jackson State. That's when I got recruited. Okay,
they were like, who.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
Was the guard caught him?

Speaker 1 (44:28):
That was me? That that's one of your many claims
to fame. Will look at more like two rings, which
isn't bad.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
He does in the state championship.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
Yeah lost. You're you're a good friend. You're a good
friend and a good man. Thanks a lot, man g
to see Thanks you guys.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
All right, fellow number one out.

Speaker 1 (44:46):
That fellow number one man.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
It's been too long.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
All right, I'm out. Can I walk off?

Speaker 1 (44:52):
Yeah? You can go away and make sure you do.
You just do me a fair tell. You tell your
son I said a good man killed good man absolutely
all right, quick time out. That was fun.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
That was a lot of impromptu for him.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
How about that? And he stayed for a law time.

Speaker 4 (45:06):
We have to pay him.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
We'll get that check.

Speaker 8 (45:15):
Check.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
We get that checked you pretty soon, all right? Yeah, yeah,
what what's your addressing again? Uh? Back holadays like there's

fun here.

It was a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
I appreciate people bearing with us there. Sometimes things pop
up braining it's so popular, and Lindsay had known for
a long time and he's got a great personality, and
you guys jibe so well. We were talking just before
Lindsay came in about you know, Philip Rivers. Dude's forty four.
Man's forty four. He's a grandfather, Okay, not that there's

(53:15):
anything wrong with that. At forty four, I think his
oldest son or oldest child is almost the age of
Riley Leonard. But I think what people also need to
understand is he may not play right away because we're
not sure about Leonard's knee. It's a it's a PCL
grade one, so he might play. But Here's what I
didn't realize this. Here's what Philip Rivers has been doing lately.

(53:39):
He's been coaching high school. He's been coaching I think
it's called Rio's High School, and he's also been helping
tutor some young quarterbacks in the National Football League. Some
of those players are Drake may Bo Nicks, and one
Riley Leonard. So it's kind of been So it's kind
of an interesting situation that the court, Like, I wouldn't

(54:02):
want to be in that situation, but it's an interesting
situation that they go into as the Colts try to
hang out because they've lost four of their last five.
Speaking of football, so we I was wondering about this
last night. I almost texted you, but I didn't want
to ruin your night.

Speaker 2 (54:17):
I've been mentoring some wid receivers around the league. Just
give him a little tibit, especially as they lead the
college space. That'll mean I can go out there for
you too and make it happen.

Speaker 1 (54:24):
That's right, absolutely, I mean I can.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Go out there and make it happy. My mind can,
but my body's like, hey, are you sure you would
run that post route? That's a real thing, man. Yeahs
I played twenty and when he played in twenty twenty,
they bought him off the couch.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
That's right, that was off the couge.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
Then in twenty twenty and they make the postseason, or
they just missed by one. Actually I think they made it.
I think they missing lost in the first round. So
it's gonna be a tough situation. Don't do that to
that old man.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
Yeah, well he's doing it to himself, so he's he's
made the decision. I'm sure the paper helps quite a bit, considering.
I think he has about ten children thirteen, But who's
count Yeah, who's counting? Let me ask you this last night,
is I'm watching the I was watching specifically Jalen Phillips,
who played really well against the Lions in the wind
but was basically non existent last night.

Speaker 2 (55:08):
All Right, one of his players led to interception.

Speaker 1 (55:12):
Okay, I guess I'm looking at it from what you're
always telling me. What pressure is, blah blah blah blah blah.
Something's got to happen, So it's a fair point, Okay, interception.
Howie Roseman's team has now lost three in a row.
Their last win came against the Lions, so they've lost
three in a row. They're eight and five, not that
they're in danger of losing the division, but they're not
seen as the same threat. And I think he's still

(55:34):
the best general manager in football. But is his reputation
taking a knock at all? Like Brad Holmes didn't do anything,
his reputation took a knock, and rightfully so, Howie Roseman
did something. One of the guys he brought in retired.
Another guy he brought in, not that the trade deadline
had retired Sadarius Smith. And now the other guy he's
brought in has I think two sacks since they brought

(55:57):
him over which you can't always get caught up statistics.
Do you think his reputation takes a hit because of
the way the team is playing?

Speaker 8 (56:04):
Right?

Speaker 2 (56:04):
Why see his reputation take a hit? He won the
Super Bowl last season with the moves that he made,
and he acquired before the season started, and during the
trade deadline he did the same thing this year. He
tried to make some moves. One of the moves didn't work,
one of the moves has worked. I think Jaalen Phillips
has has been decent at times for them. They didn't
bring him on the team to be some superstar. They
bought him to the team to add depth. Right now,

(56:24):
Howie Man, excuse me, Harry Roseman for how the team
is playing. It's not up to him to keep land
the Diggerson healthy. It's not up to him to keep
Cam Jurgens healthy. It's not up to him to keep
Lane Johnson, who's been out the whole season healthy. Their
offensive line has not played well this year. They've been
injured this year. They don't have a sense of what
they were last year in terms of running the ball

(56:44):
and protecting for Jalen Hurts. And also in that same
regard Howie Roseman, maybe he should have hired a better
offensive coordinator, Maybe he should have helped Nick Sirianni out that.
Maybe Nick Sirianni should have chose better, better coordinator. But
I don't think Harry Roseman should be punished for offensive
linemen woes. Offensive linemen play and then inconsistency at the

(57:05):
offensive coordinator position, because this is now. This is now
Jalen Hurt's fifth year or sixth year with the Eagles.
He's played with five different offensive coordinators, and every time
you reset, it looks different. You reset from Shane Steichen,
who's having success with the Indianapolis coach and it falls
apart in twenty twenty two. If you will, then you
get Keller Moore. It looks good, everything works, the offensive

(57:28):
line is cut, everything is fine. This year you have
to reset offensive coordinators as well again in an offensive
line play due to injury or whatever. It's just been
horrible this year.

Speaker 1 (57:37):
Yeah, this is his wide open National Football League. Maybe
that's not even fair. You and I probably on a
weekly basis, we try and talk about which teams we
believe in. All right, who are you buying? It's hard
to come up with a number of teams that you're
willing to buy into when you see them be so erratic.

(58:00):
Is very fair, very buying into.

Speaker 2 (58:03):
Right now, I don't even have a listen from but
I don't really need one. I'm buying into the Rams
and what they are like both sides of the ball, offense, defense.
We've talked about. They have playmakers on both sides. Of
the lost two weeks ago. I don't think that's the
bad losses of other people think of that. I think
Carolina Panthers when it's all said, and that might be
the team representing the NFC South, Like when it's all
said and done, that that win a look that lost,

(58:25):
I look a little bit better. So I'm buying into
the Rams. I'm buying into the Packers, like I'm buying
into the Green Bay Packers. Like, look, the Chicago Bears
are a good team. They came here and they gave
all they had and they fell short. But when you
watch the offense start to find weapons. One of the
biggest things that we said about the Packers is I
don't necessarily trust the offense and maybe Jordan Love Well,
when you got a Christian Watson acting like he was

(58:46):
a first round pick four years ago and showing us
something now three games in a row, I am believing
that they may have found their number one wide receiver
and still have some other guys. And then the run
game as well. So I buy the Green Bay Packers.
And also the defense. We've seen what that defense was,
that that defense, that defense is legit, and they give
them opportunities, whether it's interceptions in the past game and

(59:07):
whether it's the rush that we know is led by
Michael Partisons and Sean Gary Afc. I gotta buy the Patriots.
I don't care about the early. The rookie quarterback, excuse me,
second year quarterback in Drake may I buy Mike Rabel.
I buy him having been there as a player. I
buy him having been to the AFC Championship with a
horrible offensive team in the Tennessee Titans five years ago.

(59:30):
I buy him because of that. And then the offense
is humping on all cylinders. They had two running backs
now that they're running the ball well the offensive line.
Will Campbell was a deal for them. That was one
of the big things when he got him. Everybody said,
you know, Sefon Diggs, he's a culture killer. He's also
coming off an injury. Two things can be true. He
may have been that in with Buffalo, but he's not

(59:51):
this now, and he's operating at a high level. They
got some tighty end play, so I backed them.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
Like you said, the loss of Campbell does hurt them
for the year lost a couple of weeks ago. Their
defense is superphysical, and I don't mean just because they're
hitting guys borderline out of bounds.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
I just mean they're superficial. You heard what they Able
said about that comment. He said, we coach, we teach
if they are close to that line, you lay the lumber,
You laid the lumber, and you take them out.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
And then outside of that, so you're not buying Buffalo because.

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
I buy him, like you can finally get me to
admit I buy Josh Allen. Do I like everything about him? No,
because I don't think he's a pure pocket quarterback. I
don't think he's actually that good in the pocket realistic.
I think he makes magic, he makes things happen. Some
people are that way. Patrick Mahomes is that way, bigger arm,
but Josh Allen deserves the credit and being an MVP
last season and backing it up will play. Because outside

(01:00:44):
of that, I don't buy this defense. You can run
on this defense, you can pass on this defense. You
can also get by their offensive line to get to
Josh Allen realistically too, and they still don't have that
number one wide receiver. That is why Dawson Knox had
one hundred and twenty last game. He was the number
one where I receiver. So I don't buy them as
a team, but I buy him.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
I buy him. I don't buy That's a good explanation
because I buy their running game too.

Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
Okay, so why won't they give the ball to James
Cook in the red zone, especially from the ten end.
They do not give him the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
They struggling red It is odd they did last week
and he fumbled, but like I would still keep giving
it to him. Okay, So I Josh, I buy them
because I think they've got two really good tight ends,
Josh Allen and James Cook. I don't like their defense
at all. Cincinnati was running on him, Joe Burrow, I
thought looked pretty good against him. The two interceptions, one

(01:01:37):
was really bad, the other one was tipped. So I
get it. You're not buying Denver either, and I get that.

Speaker 2 (01:01:44):
Season ready, and I know they're the same aide and
no ball Knicks is older than Drake May. I know
they're the same years in the NFL, and I get that.
But the offense is stagnant, is very inconsistent. They no
longer have the run game that maybe was thought they
had earlier since the loss of JK. Dobbins. Trying to
find it in R. J.

Speaker 4 (01:02:01):
Harvey.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
And he is a player, but he scores more so
in the twenty end. When you're trying to go twenty
to twenty. There's a struggle coiling Sutton's the number one
wide receiver. However, he doesn't have the most yards or
most targets each game. Yeah, one game it's Evan Evans,
sometimes it's Evan Ingram.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
And I'm just trying to find it in the second half,
especially fourth quarter, in a lot of those big games.

Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
So it sounds to me like you're buying really only
one team in the AFC in New England, and you
could put Den could be a.

Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
Five, like if I was ranking.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
Them, I will wink to your rankings later in the week.
I'm just wondering right now an initial thought after the
Monday night game, because I'm not buying Philadelphia like I
did before. I love their defense and I like their
weapons on offense. But what you and Lindsay and I
were talking about made me think about it too, and
somebody just put it in the chat. How can you
guys not be buying the Lions as contenders with how

(01:02:53):
wide open the NFC is.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Because the Lions have to get to the playoffs first, Like,
am I buying I'm sure, but I have to the
fact that they're gonna beat the Rams or put on
the show and make make me think something different after
they play the Rams I'm buying the fact that they're
gonna go into Chicago at the end of the season
when everything is on the line. I'm buying the fact
that they're gonna win three of the last four of
their games so they can get to eleven, because it's
gonna take eleven just to get in the dance. Unfortunately,

(01:03:17):
this is another year like last year, it's going to
take eleven on the NFC side, to get into the
dance with the forty nine ers, with the Seahawks, with
the Bears, with the Packers, or they're gonna win no
longer that with the Lions like it's got and then
it's another one too. It's going to take eleven. And
if you don't beat the Bears like the Bears have
a they still can get two wins out of this thing.
So it's not about not buying the Lions. They're not

(01:03:38):
even in the playoffs and they're not even in the
wildcard spot right now. They're trying to get to that spot.

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Yeah, it's a challenging navigational system for the Lions right now.
There's no doubt. I mean, when you've got to go
to LA that's not easy. Pittsburgh, I know they're playing
for something. Their defense hasn't been terrible. I think Detroit,
you know, which should helpwise, should win that. Yeah. I mean, look,
if people are bringing it up, it's a fair point

(01:04:04):
for us to bring it up. I don't care if
Christian Mohonini's coming back or not. It's not like this
is an infusion right away of what Frank Ragnow would
have brought to you a year ago. But you know,
in Minnesota's defense is stout and we've seen that already.
It's not like I don't think the tray can win there.
It probably comes down to that last game against Chicago,

(01:04:24):
and those are gonna be tough conditions. It's going to
be very challenging for Detroit. It's not that I don't
think they can do it, but to say that they're
a contender right now might be a little bit forthcoming
than I really am willing to go right now.

Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
At the end of the day, they got a good
win against Dallas Cowboys. That game in itself wasn't necessary
a game that I.

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
Thought it would be.

Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
They play well, they got a good win. But when
you look at the Lions over the past five weeks,
it's win loss, win, loss, loss, loss, it's well, never
lost lost, but win loss, win loss, win loss, win loss,
and it's this roller coaster of where are they going
to be this week, what's going to be the issue
this week? Or how are they going to survive and
win this week? Last week was the first time that
they didn't have to survive. They pretty much led the

(01:05:04):
whole way and they controlled the temple of that game.
What does it look like for the Lions this game.
That's the issue with the Lions right now as you're
talking about the postseason, as you're talking about having faith
that a team can do something that they have never
done in the history of their organization, their franchise, which
is win the Super Bowl or win the championship in
the modern era call the Super Bowl. Why would I

(01:05:24):
have faith in a team that is in consistent and
we're talking about at the end of the year. So
it was a good win for them in Dallas. But
once again, the thing with the Lions over the past
five weeks has been we have to wait and see
what the next game looks like, because it's been different
each and every week.

Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
Yeah, it's okay for us to say they're not contenders
when they have a thirty nine percent chance of making
the playoffs, sixty one percent chance of being out thirty
four percent is a wild card. Berth sixty one percent
to pick between two and eighteen in the twenty twenty
six draft. So I think it's I think it's justified
for us to say we're not seeing it right now. Well,

(01:06:02):
SOT against Dallas. I think it's great. All right, we've
seen it at times, but in order for them to
make it, they you need to see that repetitively. And
you haven't seen that lately, And if you have, I'd
like to know which team you've been watching.

Speaker 4 (01:06:16):
Now.

Speaker 1 (01:06:16):
That doesn't mean you have to buy in. Some people
think somebody said, you know, three and one. Somebody said
they're going four and oh that's from Flint Town.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
Four and oh you get in, yeah four, and oh
you will get in four and oh you will definitely
get in. And we will be having a different conversation.
But nothing about what the Lions have done so far
this season gives me any Inkland to believe that foeur
and oh is possible. Do I think they can go
three in one? Yes? Do I think they can go
four and on? No?

Speaker 1 (01:06:42):
Really good point by Detroit Gunnery. He says the Rams
have no home field advantage it so far. I agree
with that. I like them because of their talent. We
never mentioned home field, all right, I think because remember
Brandon has brought this up a number of times. Last year,
they went into Philadelphia, and you could have made the
argument they should have beaten Philadelphia in Philly in January.

(01:07:05):
Wasn't an easy trip at all. And we're not tripping
either when we talk about that.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
I'm just looking at the rest of these schedules and
staying with these teams have lined up, and you talk
about the Lions that I'm getting in. This is just
what the teams that are right there bottleneck with the Lions,
which is forty nine Ers, the Bears, and the Seahawks.
Forty Nine's got tighten coats, Bears and Seahawks like they're
already at ten wins. I believe they're gonna win two
of those.

Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
Just me.

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
The Bears have Browns, Packers, forty nine Ers, Lions. I
don't think that they're gonna win three of those. I
don't think I think they got the Browns. I think
they lose to the forty nine Ers, Ana Lions so
that's maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
The Packers though Bears Bears could beat the Packers at home,
I do. I think they can. They're going to overtime
if not for a poor throw and a poor decision
by Caleb Williams, who I thought had a decent game. Okay,
so I think they could go two and two there
and suddenly you got eleven Seahawks have.

Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
The Coats, Rams, Panthers forty nineers. I think the Seahawks
win two of those games. They're already at ten the
level win correct, So that's why I'm saying it's not
about it's the way the Skys play out and where
they are already. Unfortunately, the Lions have put themselves in
the hole, so where they are climbing out and playing ketchup,
and a lot of teams have some favorable situations moving
down the stretch.

Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
Right. A really good point by Dante fifteen fifteen one,
five one, and he says, are we forgetting the Houston
Texans because of how well they played in the AFC.
I'm not. I think I love their defense because I
love will Anderson Junior. I think it's just phenomenal. I
think they're really good. I do wonder if they could

(01:08:37):
go into Denver and win. I do wonder if they
could go into New England and win. Although defense travels,
I'm not forgetting them either. I think they're a contender,
but I wouldn't put them as a favorite. They're not
even leading the division yet. They've split with Jacksonville so
far this year. I do not buy Jacksonville. I'm probably
more apt to buy Houston than I would be Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
Yeah, what do we talk about, like asking me about Texans,
like asking me about Tulane. They don't matter in the
grand scheme of things, like are they gonna maybe win
their division?

Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
Short?

Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
I think the Texans have a chance. I think the
way that their defense is playing. C. J. Stroud seems
to have found something in coming back off of injury. Sure, fine,
they can win the AFC South. And then what, I
don't think they're that good of a team on offense.
And I think the running game that they're trying to
figure out if old Manchubb with four different knee surgeries
in the last four seasons, is going to be it
or is it Woody Marx like Dalton Schultz just got

(01:09:30):
hurt again. So I just I think that they can
win the AFSC South, But in terms of being a
Super Bowl contender, like what are we talking about?

Speaker 19 (01:09:38):
I think if we can get something that shows by
the week, maybe Brallian's contenders and Brallian's pretenders, that would
be really, really dope.

Speaker 1 (01:09:47):
This is this is a really this is a really
good graphic because the playoff odds the Rams basically in
this is what you've just been talking about. Rams are
in Green Bays, in Phillies, in Seattle's here and San
Francisco's in so Chicago. When Tampa at seventy percent, Tampa
doesn't really matter because the only way they're getting in
is if they win the divisions between them in Carolina.

(01:10:08):
It's Chicago that you gotta watch out for, right the
seventy percent, and when when we talk about contenders, this
is what we're referring to. If the Lions are at
thirty six percent, thirty eight percent, thirty nine percent, which
we were just talking about, you could understand why there
is a believability in some of these other teams number
one and number two. It might be slightly different if
we were talking about the Tigers two years ago in

(01:10:30):
August and they had a point two percent chance of
making the playoffs and went on a run. That's hard
to do in football. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
Yeah, they have forty nine schedule, man, Like I really
want to say, forty nine ers be your in, forty
niners in Chicago, forty nine schedules down the stress. Think
they'll be fine. They're gonna have eleven wins.

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
For sure in the next two weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:10:48):
The Colts team and what they have and then at
Tennessee Titans team to snuggle in against the Cleveland Browns.
That's eleven wins for them. The Bears Bears that you're in. Yeah,
the Bears is who you're finding. You've got to hope
the Bears lose to the pack again, you know, lose
to whoever the forty nine ers on the road. It's
gonna be a tough game after playing the Packers. And

(01:11:09):
Browns are a defensive team, like they're a physical team.
So you hope the Browns beat up the Bears. Packers
beat them in, the forty nine Ers beat them in.
There will be when we get to that last game
of the season, you guys will be playing for that
playoffs pot.

Speaker 1 (01:11:20):
And just as important, you got to take care of
your own business. Okay. I mean it's gonna be a
tough challenge against the Rams. We know that, Okay. It's
not that I don't think t Troy can score. You
brought this up yesterday that the Rams gave up probably
too many points to Arizona. Okay, so and you gave
they gave up just.

Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
Had eleven catches for one hundred and forty one eleven.

Speaker 1 (01:11:40):
So that tells you something that Team Troit should be
able to put some points up. How are they going
to stop that Los Angeles offense? That's what I wonder
a little bit about. I'm not worried about the next two.
But it's the bookends. It's the Rams and the Bears.
And I'll be honest with it, I didn't think much
about the Bears. I wasn't a big believer either. But
what they've done Philly, what they've done and how they played,

(01:12:02):
even in a loss to Green Bay. If I can
look at if you're forcing me to look at what's
that it was. If you're going to force me to
look at, hey, Arizona scored this many points, the Rams
scored this many points and sorted Carolina, then I can
look at Chicago objectively and recognize their offense at times

(01:12:23):
seems to be jelling a little bit moving the football. Well,
I trust their defense, but their offense impressed me against
Green Bay even though it was a loss. All Right,
we got to take a quick time out. We'll get
to some of your super chats. We'll get to you

Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
Yeah, we bet. Hold on, hold on, hold on, WHOA
I gotta read something. It's connected to me randomly, and
it's the dumbest thing. What Why are people so stupid?
Especially around the holidays? Oh oh, so I'm just looking
at a little little news. He says that let me
get him to get that going right here, Two men
are facing federal charges in connection with the early morning
ATM robbery in Metro Detroit, according to the federal court.

(01:19:06):
Now I'm gonna save that part for the investigators of LEDs.
The group of at least four suspects arrived using stolen
Ford F three point fifty, and then what they did
was even dumber. Apparently the suspect attached hooks and chains
from the pickup truck to an ATM and used the
vehicle to rip open the front of the machine, exposing

(01:19:27):
the crash drawers inside. Authority's estimate approximate one hundred and
thirty eight thousand cash were taken, not to mention eighty thousand,
two hundred dollars for the fines. Now that's stupid. And
then they go to Somerset and they go shopping right
down the street, spent all the money, They got caught,
they got arrested. Do you know what the suspects names were?

Speaker 21 (01:19:44):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:19:44):
I had to double back when I was reading this.
Suspects names of Dale Edwards Junior and Braylan Marshall. So
Braylan Edwards somehow was in there. Plays Come on, cousin a.

Speaker 1 (01:19:58):
You gotta look at bad out here.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
It says that they was we stayed in firements and
hills at a hotel, were held up, and then due
to all the eyes in the sky, you idiots, they
found them, they arrested them and now in federal were
custody facing Uh yeah, they faced no lot.

Speaker 1 (01:20:13):
Yeah they're going to be. They should be going for
a walk.

Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
Darl Edwards and Brayln Marshall, that's pretty it's pretty fun.

Speaker 1 (01:20:21):
That is that is very unique. Yeah, I see how
they how you twisted that in there, and that's that's
really good. By the way, somebody in the chat said,
the Lions own the Bears. They have one for the
last five I believe you.

Speaker 2 (01:20:32):
Okay, the Lions aren't going to go in there and
win that game. They can't go in there and win
that game. We're just simply talking about game by game.

Speaker 1 (01:20:39):
Have not said that at all. All we said was
it is going to be a difficult path and they
need some help. And if you can't admit that, then
I mean, I think you're looking with rose colored glasses.

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
He just just do me a favor. Win loser drawn
with this game against the Rams, win loser, drun okay
or lose win and drum. I'll speak positivity to air
looks similar to how you look when it was successful.
Do some of the things that you did last week,
some of the things that had everybody on Friday raving
and reviewing about Brad Holmes, the defense, the offense, Kelvin Sheppard, etc.

(01:21:13):
Alma Rossa and Brown the leadership exhibit some of those
same things against the Rams, so that even if you
lose a game, you lose a twenty seven to twenty
four game where I can now take something out of
that game and say, you know what, I saw this
show up again. Jack Campbell played really well again. You
know Aiden Hudchinson was able to get off the edge
and create some problems in the game. The offensive line,
you know what, they protected a little bit in a

(01:21:34):
loud Jered Goffin's sense of stability in the pocket. That's
what we're saying because if I see that now, I
can take that and I can couple that with what
I saw against the Dallas Cowboys and say, hey, look man,
Pittsburgh Stellers and the Chicago Bears and forget and the
MISSOLDI bik because they're going to beat the Vikings, They're
going to beat the Pittsburgh Stellers, they'll get to ten.
What we're paying attention to is this game in that

(01:21:55):
last game.

Speaker 1 (01:21:56):
That's right retalistically, because I'm giving them the other and
you could understand why. But I would caution people. I
gave them the Minnesota game earlier this year, and I
was wrong. Okay, so if I'm gonna lose. Look, people
always try to convince me that home field's a big deal. Personally,
you know how I feel about it. If if I

(01:22:18):
was wrong about them losing it home to Minnesota and
Detroit isn't playing as well or have lost more players,
why would I automatically give them the win in Minnesota? Right?
I think they're better than Minnesota. That's why. So I
was wrong before, It doesn't mean I think I'm going
to be wrong again. I'm picking them against Minnesota. It's

(01:22:39):
the Bookends. Like you said, it's the Rams and or
the Bears somebody. And this is perfectly put from showgun
Shua de Savage Slasher, very creative.

Speaker 2 (01:22:52):
The seventies eighties deal with the level of cow country
in westerns Okay, I trust you on that.

Speaker 1 (01:22:58):
I believe you on that. He says, if we can't
beat the Steelers, Vikings and Bears, we don't deserve a
playoff run. So even if they lose to the Rams,
to your point, they can still make it. Yeah, it's
how they look though. If they get run out of
the building, then that it does give you reason for pause.
I think that's okay because.

Speaker 2 (01:23:16):
Then also when I know we're done with this, the
conversation is super Bowl. The conversation that we have, we're
talking about super Bowl contenders on the hills of the
conversation that we have with Lindsey Hunter. So when we're
talking about super Bowl contenders in that space, well, that's
what we're talking about, because we're not just talking about
teams making the playoffs. And if that was a conversation
and the answer is yes, and there's definitely a pathway

(01:23:37):
to that. And I can see that based on how
they play good or bad, I can see the pathway
to the playoffs for sure. Can they win the Super
Bowl is something we're trying to figure out.

Speaker 1 (01:23:44):
So I want everybody's opinion on this because I think
this is common. This is a common thought by Lions
fans right now from somebody in the chat. The Lions
always play better as the underdog. That's why I was
worried about them being the number one seed last year.
I'll be honest, I wasn't worried about that at all.
How many times I don't know, if you guys can

(01:24:06):
help me with this, Brendan or kool aid? How many
times were they the underdog this year and one and
or lost? Okay? How many times were they the underdog
this year and yet they won and or lost? How
did they fail? Yeah? How many times were they the underdog?
Because the belief is they played better as an underdog,

(01:24:30):
and I'm not sure about that. I mean, were they
the underdog at Green Bay in the very first game
of the season. I thought they were. I don't think
they played very well. Were they the underdog in Kansas City?
I thought they were okay, and they didn't play very well.

(01:24:51):
They definitely were. Actually were they the underdog in Philly?
Yes they were and they didn't play very well. So
where am I wrong there? Brendan? You got it.

Speaker 20 (01:25:00):
We are one in three as underdogs this year. Loss
against Green Bay, win against Baltimore, loss against Kansas City
and loss against Philly.

Speaker 1 (01:25:11):
Wait to be honest, yeah, so I was close. I
don't buy that stuff. I think it's a narrative, and
I think the narrative is this. We hear Dan Campbell
say and that's okay, by the way Dan Campbell says it,
and we hear the players say it. You know, our
backs are against the wall, and they say it before
a win, and everyone's like, yep, see, I told you

(01:25:34):
they play better when they're an underdog and their backs
are against the wall. And look at that. They beat Dallas.
They were favored to beat Dallas. Okay, backs against the
wall from a record standpoint, I get it. But this
year as an underdog, they're one in three.

Speaker 8 (01:25:47):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:25:47):
I mean, let's be careful before we start buying into
some of the things that sometimes coaches and players want
us to buy into.

Speaker 2 (01:25:55):
That's all, okay, Yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
Yeah, all right, let's get to this Tiger's discussion because
in Orlando. In Orlando, we've got the Baseball Winter Meetings.

Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
Are you sound so much smoothly?

Speaker 1 (01:26:08):
We hear that, right, We've got the Baseball Winter Meetings
taking place. And here's what Scott Harris had to say
to MLB Television MLB Network earlier today about the Terrok
schoobl situation.

Speaker 2 (01:26:23):
You haven't heard it?

Speaker 22 (01:26:25):
Go ahead, Do you understand why fans are worried that
the tariff schooble window to win is closing? Fans in
Detroit want to know, are you guys going to maximize
the time while you have arguably the best picture on
the planet.

Speaker 5 (01:26:46):
Yeah, I mean, listen, that's that's a hard question to
answer for a few reasons. One, we made the playoffs
each of the last two years, so I don't know
what maximizing the time is. We had a credible chance
to win the World Series, and we put a really
good team out there on the field. I think the
second thing is it's a hard question to answer because
I can't, I can and I won't speculate on trades
for our own players, Like it's just not fair to

(01:27:08):
the players, it's not fair to the other teams. And
the second thing is, there are twenty five other guys
in our in our locker room, there are twenty five
other guys that are you know, busting their bust to
play on the field, and it takes all of us
to actually get to the postseason.

Speaker 2 (01:27:21):
It's not a commentary on Trek it's.

Speaker 5 (01:27:23):
The organizational ethos we have that it's gonna take all
of us, and it's gonna take every little thing to
be able to get to the to the postseason. Listen,
Trek's to Tiger right now. We're thrilled that he's a Tiger.
He's coming off of back to back side young appearances,
and he's a huge part of what we're doing right now.
So I understand the sentiment. It's really hard to comment
on directly.

Speaker 4 (01:27:40):
But I understand it's why it's hard to comment.

Speaker 23 (01:27:42):
It's just he's a generational talent.

Speaker 15 (01:27:44):
I mean, what we've seen the last few years from
him is.

Speaker 22 (01:27:47):
Hall of Fame level performance.

Speaker 23 (01:27:50):
So when you have someone who's so unique, it's almost
and I'm not gonna ask you a you're taking calls.
It's really an organizational decision that I have to imagine
you are all having internally. And can that decision be
altered by any outside extended conversations.

Speaker 5 (01:28:09):
Yeah, I mean the clearest way I can answer that
is I don't. I don't believe in untouchable players at
any level of YEAP.

Speaker 2 (01:28:16):
Usually we come out of these these interviews that we
come out of these sound bites and then you phrased
it in such a way and ask me the question.
I want to flip it in swimmage because I think
for you it would be more important to get the
conversary out of you first. When you hear this, you
hear the whole conversation, where do you go on your mind? Uh?

Speaker 1 (01:28:33):
Well, first place I go is he's not going to
be here past this year. So but I've thought that
and felt that for a long time. The problem is,
I mean, I think there's a lot of people who
feel like, feel like this is very cringe worthy. I
think this is very front office speak. To me. I
mean I don't cringe at it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
I mean Scott Morris, my apologize.

Speaker 1 (01:28:54):
Yeah, that's all right. I mean Scott Harris, I think
is doing what he feels like he has to do
to cover it. Ask okay, And I think most people
would do the same thing. Now. I know, as fans,
we don't believe that because fans, what we want to
hear is we love Tarek Skuble. He's the best picture
in the world. We're going to do everything we can
to keep him. All right, It opens more doors for

(01:29:16):
you the twenty five others, and it takes all of
us is what I think makes a lot of people
shake their head a little bit. Remember what he said
right after it. It's not a commentary on Tarrek's scouble.
He's not going to be here. I'm just telling you
they're not paying him four hundred million bucks, folks. So
I hope people understand that. And for people to try

(01:29:38):
and sit there and say, well, I mean, look again,
I hope I'm wrong. I don't see it. I don't
think there's anybody in the baseball industry who sees it. Okay.
And when you hear people go, just pay him the money, okay,
I mean easy for you to say, and quite honestly,
it doesn't make any sense. Doesn't make any sense to
paying four hundred million dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
In terms on how the success has been thus far. Yeah,
I mean, because you're not gonna get too much further
than you've gotten so far.

Speaker 1 (01:30:06):
As if you're if you're not going to if you're
if you're gonna pay for a million dollars, you better
support him with better players than you have right now,
which costs more money, which costs more money, and they're
not going to be able to do that.

Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
Sky Harris had this Poleon when he's having these conversations,
is there any part of him that is perturbed or
maybe disappointed that he didn't move Terror School at a
different point in time to maybe receive or recap more
for him, or is it gonna be.

Speaker 4 (01:30:33):
What it is?

Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
Yeah, that's a really good question. I don't know the
answer to that. He's a tough read. What bothers me
more than this is that he has basically also come up.
Chris McCosky and the Detroit News had an article about this.
He has come out and said, Look, the strength of
their team or their offensive improvement is going to come

(01:30:54):
from within. I think that should bother people more than
the Trek Schouble hinting and tap dancing around what you
really want to hear, Because if it's going to come
from within, I'd love to know where, because I don't
see that right now. They don't want to block some
of their younger players, Kevin Mcgonagal, Max Anderson, Bryce Rayner,

(01:31:20):
Max Clark, they're going to do that. I mean, you
would think if you make some type of massive trade
for Errek Scouble, I'm not making a trade for Terrek's
scooble if or for sending Errek school someplace if I'm
not getting major league talent, and the Dodgers suggestion is
you know, somebody in our group chats at oh. I

(01:31:42):
don't mind it, okay, I mean I love to know
if you recognize any of the players that they would
be offering, Like do you know how good Josua Depaula is?
Do you know how good that your hope is? Do
you know how good and Wado Guerrero is? Do you
know how good Alex Freeland is? I mean, these are
guys who are at the high A level, some of them.
Friedland not so much, he's played in the majors, but

(01:32:06):
outside of Emmett Shean, who's only been one year in
the league, who are you getting? So I think they
need major league ready talent, not guys at high A
and A ball myself, but I understand why Tigers fans
are frustrated with it. I just think it tells you
more and more the more he talks, the more you
recognize it's I just don't see how it's happening Braylin,

(01:32:27):
and I know that's disappointing for Tiger's fans. I don't
blame him, Yeah, No, I mean I don't know what
they expect a general manager to say when they're asked
that question.

Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
There's a lot of t's for a team for this
particular player in Detroit, and you know how good he is,
and you appreciate how good he is. However, Terryce, google
what do you want to last year twelve games and
had multiple losses because of when he wasn't getting from
the offensive Sadama or the bets. So just because you
pay him four hundred million, just because he becomes better
as a pigeon, there's no guarantee based on the roster

(01:32:57):
getting back to making moves and trades and things of
that nature. Also, if the team trades one right now,
they're legitimately not going to give you the best part
of the day have because they know that you're in
a situation where you're trying to move them and they
got you by the short and curies to a certain.

Speaker 1 (01:33:11):
Extent, Well, that's that's part of the problem for waiting
as long as as they've had to. And I understand it,
and you're right, I don't think I think people recognize
starting pitching and wins don't equate to greatness. Okay, Turk
School had thirteen victories last year. Great didn't leave the
team by the way Casey had the team. Casey might

(01:33:32):
had fourteen wins. All right, He's the best pitcher on
the planet, full stop. He's one of the best lefties
the Tigers have ever had. Period. Do you have to
ask yourself? Can you spend that much money? Are you
willing to spend that much money? Is it worth spending
that much money for the Dodgers to be in the conversation?
Is it would piss me off even more because of

(01:33:54):
what they've got. You have a Moto and Snell and
Glass now and all these guys ideas as of today, Yeah,
Edwin di just three million dollars more than the Mets
we're offering. I think you said it to me in
a text.

Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
Money money win sports.

Speaker 1 (01:34:11):
Yeah, money wins.

Speaker 2 (01:34:12):
You see show here trying to learn how to pitch
left hand.

Speaker 1 (01:34:16):
I wouldn't put it past him. I would not put
it past him.

Speaker 2 (01:34:19):
This Dodgers think is crazy because now since the salary
cap is fake in baseball, so now getting exposed to
a certain extent of the manipulation of this just stacking
and stanking and stacking and paying and paying, Like what
are you going to do with this Dodgers team besides
pray there's an injury.

Speaker 1 (01:34:35):
Do you, just out of curiosity, do you believe in
untouchables in sports, because that's another thing that I think
irked Tigers fans that he doesn't can't move, he doesn't
believe they are untouchables. Yeah. Yeah, so that's a that's
a pretty bold statement. But he's been he's stood fast
by that for a long time.

Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Patrick Mahons is untouchable. Josh Allen is untouchable. When Brady
was in Lee, He's untouchable. All quarterbacks, by the way, Yeah,
like it would be the quarterback position in football, and
then obviously in basketball, stars will all the time in basketball.
That us off the table unless you're Shay Gilges. I

(01:35:14):
think he's untouchable.

Speaker 1 (01:35:16):
I would have said the same thing about Jani Sante
Tekumpel a long time ago. And yet there is that possibility, right,
It's a real one. Yeah, so I think there are.
It's not that you're trading these guys. It's just that
these guys are are moving on and going someplace else,
you know. I think if teams can have enough of
Tom Brady, who ended up going to Tampa or a

(01:35:37):
Joe Montana of the Patrade Right. Yeah, if that's the case,
who says nobody else can be moved. I think they
can be moved.

Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
I think yeah. To your point, no, it is intouchable
because what happens is at the end of at the
end of a ragin or certain situations, if you have
a coach and a GM that can convince the owner otherwise,
and where you get a new situation, you have a
new GM. Here's a new front coach. Look, I know
he's done this for the team, and I know he's
been the statele I know he won you a couple
of titles. But if we move him, then we can

(01:36:06):
now take our situation and go this way. So maybe
that untouchable thing is a thing of the past.

Speaker 1 (01:36:11):
Yeah, I think it's It's probably not something that you
want to constantly admit. If you're having the conversation about
a player who has beloved and is your best player
and is considered the best at what he does. We
all want the best at what we have. I got
the best partner to work with, I've got the best
running back. Why were so many people pissed off that
Barry Sanders didn't break Walter Payton's record, didn't set the

(01:36:34):
record instead or win the rushing title when Christian Kakoye
overcame it against Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (01:36:39):
Because they always want it, not always, because they want
Detroit yet to put their stamp on something that is
the best.

Speaker 1 (01:36:46):
Couldn't say it any better. That's why everybody wants to
hold out of this guy. I've got the best, all right.
You may have the highest payroll Mets Dodgers, but I've
got something you want. And you're gonna lose that because
then you're gonna look at your roster and go, holy crap.
Who else do we have to look at it like that?

(01:37:08):
That's the problem. Quick time out after this from West
Stanford than Jack's car wash.

He was called Woodward one thousand or scan the QR
code on the screen.

Speaker 4 (01:43:06):
Yeah, we bet.

Speaker 1 (01:43:07):
I don't think this topic ever goes away. And that's
the college football playoff. Who got snubbed and who is
ticked off? Well we know no one was more ticked
off than Notre Dame. They made it very well known
recently or just yesterday, I should say, their athletic director
took it a step further and what he had to
say about the ACC. Listen to this in case you

(01:43:30):
missed it, Go ahead, play cooling. What role did the
ACC play in any of this in your opinion?

Speaker 4 (01:43:36):
Well, I would tell you.

Speaker 25 (01:43:37):
I mean again, I have tremendous respect for Miami, you know,
the great team, great school, their athletic director, Dan Radakovich,
is a good friend, and all the teams in the
ACC great wonderful universities. We have no no gripes about
any of the schools in the ACC, but we were
mystified by the actions of the conference to attack you

(01:43:59):
know their I guess really business partner in football and
a member of their conference in twenty four of our
other sports.

Speaker 4 (01:44:07):
And I would tell you.

Speaker 25 (01:44:08):
Dan, I wouldn't be honest with you if I didn't
say that. They have certainly done permanent damage to the
relationship between the conference and Notre Dame. What do you mean,
just we didn't appreciate the fact that we were singled
out repeatedly and compared to Miami, not by Miami. Miami
has every right to do that, but it raised a

(01:44:30):
lot of eyebrows here that the conference was taking shots
at us, And now that's just not something we chose
to do. We wouldn't choose to do that in the future.
People might disagree with us, but that's just not something
that we'd be comfortable with. And again, we have no
problem with any of these teams. These are all great teams.
Now you look at those teams, Miami, like I said,
great season, they beat us. You think about Alabama. Nobody's

(01:44:53):
had more success in college football over the last decade
than Alabama.

Speaker 26 (01:44:57):
But Dan, you know, I mean, you follow the sports
so closely. Everybody was saying that we were one of
a handful of teams that could win this whole thing,
and now we have zero percent chance. So even Nick Saban,
you know, nobody knows more about college football. Maybe in
the history of the world than Nick Saban, you know,
and he said it yesterday, like how is Notre Dame
not in this? I mean, everybody is just kind of
confused and perplexed, and we don't have good answers for

(01:45:21):
the kids on our team, for student athletes.

Speaker 2 (01:45:24):
But you're going to reevaluate your relationship with the ACC
the overall.

Speaker 1 (01:45:29):
Ooh yeah, there's an awful lot of wine. He's not
looking good in this.

Speaker 2 (01:45:34):
Boo fing who like, get over you guys could get
in at the end of the day, you didn't get
in because you're not part of a conference. Like you
had to hit one. You're not part of a conference,
and you lost head to hit. You lost to Miami,
who got in. And you know what happened with Miami.
Miami had a conference to lobby for them, and it's
the same conference that you spurned in twenty twenty when
you when noted, when you when you got in, they

(01:45:55):
let you be a part of the conference. You got in,
you got in the collegetball playoff, and then after that
it was like, now we want to go back to
just being football independent, but oh, you can have these
other sports.

Speaker 4 (01:46:04):
You can have.

Speaker 2 (01:46:05):
We don't care about the other sports. Football is the
straw that stirs to drink. That's what brings into cash.
And you don't want to give up your school, and
you're lobbying on by yourself, and nobody cares. The ACC
lobby for Miami to get it because there's a conference,
there's more schools, there's more backing. You don't have a conference,
so you don't have anything to say, and you lost
your head to head. This reminds me of what Michigan

(01:46:26):
didn't get in in two thousand and six. Michigan lose
the house date one to two games.

Speaker 1 (01:46:31):
They lose.

Speaker 2 (01:46:32):
What happened? SEC loss? I mean, excuse me, Florida lobbied.
SEC lobbied for Florida. Meanwhile, we didn't say anything. He
was like, you know, we'll let this, We'll let the
nature take its course. Well it took its course because
the squeaky will got the oil.

Speaker 1 (01:46:46):
Hey, what the hell does permanent damage mean? Anyway? They
have an agreement with the ACC where they have to
play a minimum of five ACC teams a year. You
looked up their schedule. They're going to do it again
next year. What I would ask him this?

Speaker 2 (01:47:01):
Who three and eight teams?

Speaker 1 (01:47:04):
Yeah? Three and eight teams. Good way to go. You know,
here's what I would ask the athletic director if you
were Miami and that conference was lobbying for Notre Dame.
When you don't play in the ACC in football? You
do with your twenty four other sports, but you don't

(01:47:25):
in football. How would you feel if you were the
athletic director at Miami and you were one of seventeen
schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference and they were robbying
for somebody else? Is Jim Phillips who's the commissioner of
the ACC? Is he supposed to not lobby for Miami?
Why would he lobby for Notre Dame. I'm just wondering,

(01:47:47):
why would he do that? Notre Dame is not part
of the ACC in football, the part of the ACC
and other sports. We're not talking about women's basketball here. Thanks.
It makes no sense to me. Thanks. I guess I
just don't. I don't understand why. And what's the permanent damage? Right,
we're not gonna play in the ACC teams you just

(01:48:09):
signed a contract to play with Clemson. Sorry, I'd love
to know what?

Speaker 4 (01:48:13):
What?

Speaker 2 (01:48:13):
What kind of hot air?

Speaker 1 (01:48:15):
Yeah? What's he holding over the AC?

Speaker 2 (01:48:17):
It's hot air. It's basically, they gave him an interview,
They gave him a platform to go in there and
wind like a baby. So he's gonna go up there
and he's gonna say all the things that he can
to persuade you to have some type of compassion for
Notre Dame. The problem is nobody in this country does, because,
to be honest, outside of Notre Dame, nobody really likes
Notre Dame. And we know how that feels.

Speaker 4 (01:48:34):
So that's not me.

Speaker 2 (01:48:35):
Outside of Michigan. People don't like Mischigan, so I get it.

Speaker 4 (01:48:38):
They don't like you.

Speaker 2 (01:48:39):
And when you come on here with the independence wag,
but you're trying to beg people to show you some
some mercy. You gotta be a part of a conference.
And this has been the conversation, but very long.

Speaker 1 (01:48:47):
It does hurt you if you're not. I think that's
pretty evident, and I'm surprised that they've taken this tact,
but maybe I shouldn't be. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt feels like they
got cheated a little bit. Their five director handled it
much different. Listen to this response on them not being
part of the CFP twelve teams, and.

Speaker 21 (01:49:08):
You know, we we happen to be on the wrong
side of that in this in this moment, but that
that's no one's fault except for our own. You know,
we had our opportunities and we didn't do enough, and
so that that's the you know, we we are not
victims in this process. Where our ownership is in is
in coming up short. I think it it's a reminder

(01:49:30):
of how critical every moment is, every snap, every possession,
and there's a lot to learn in this season because
we want to be back in these moments. But as
it is, you know, we'll we'll spend time at all
season trying to trying to get the system more into
focus with where.

Speaker 1 (01:49:47):
The game is gone.

Speaker 21 (01:49:48):
In the meantime, we're gonna we're going to celebrate the
hell out of going and playing the Tampa and having
some fun together one last time.

Speaker 1 (01:49:55):
I love that. Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:49:57):
Sorry, Yeah, one school was we're Notre Dame. How did
you not let us in? The other school? Look, man,
we appreciate the opportunity. We'll go play who we have
to play.

Speaker 1 (01:50:09):
But don't worry.

Speaker 2 (01:50:10):
Next year, you know we're going to get another crack
at this. But I want you to remember how we
handled the situation. We represent We are a great representation
of guess what a conference and SEC is not always
nice things said about them. Vanderbilt, they represented ACC well
in and the SEC well in that particular moment.

Speaker 1 (01:50:27):
Yeah, that's a that's a team that played a pretty
damn tough schedule itself ended on a role. Wasn't the
biggest role, like Notre Dame ran off ten straight wins,
but they still ended with three straight wins over Auburn, Kentucky,
and Tennessee. I'm not telling you that they're going to
blow you away. They're a fun team to watch. They're
a good team. I don't think they're a great team
by any stretch, but the way they handled it probably

(01:50:48):
does them a lot more favors moving forward.

Speaker 2 (01:50:50):
Also, I appreciate hearing from the coach, and I think
what the Notre Dame situation was, like, I didn't hear
from Marcus Freeman. I don't know how Marcus Freeman and
his team feel. I don't think Marcus Freeman would be
the level what the ad is. I like the ad.
We know how some ads are and they want to
get in that microphone, they want to get on that TV,
and they want to let that ego, in that swag,
you know, take over the room. And I think I

(01:51:11):
didn't say that you did, but I want to say
that that's the energy, Like that's what I felt. Meanwhile,
it's tough they let your coach speak in that regard.
It's almost like when you get these because.

Speaker 1 (01:51:21):
He can talk for his players too, and the energy
just discussion with this point.

Speaker 2 (01:51:26):
And the energy one, it's like when you get these
governors on TV or these mayors talk about their teams,
don't I don't want to hear it from the governor
of Cincinnati and what the Bengals are going to do
against the Chiefs. Who cares, right, I don't want to
hear it from the A D and this, that and
third and you guys got screwed. You don't even understand football.
That's what it was very clear in the beginning when
he first started, Well you know Nick Saban, who's the

(01:51:46):
smartest man that ever it was a part of college football.
Well he even said that that let me know, you
don't know anything. You're leaning on Nick Saban and what up?
And the masses are saying nationally some of them don't even.

Speaker 1 (01:51:56):
Spell the nickname, right, for crying out louds makes no set.
How about the Uh that's a really good take, man.
I'm glad we played that. Thanks for that good stuff.
Do we have any super chats before we're out of here?

Speaker 19 (01:52:09):
We got some, We got some super chas, Go ahead,
fire away, Randall Small's five dollars super chat number two crown.

Speaker 2 (01:52:16):
He says, give me a great.

Speaker 3 (01:52:17):
O, l and I like Rivers, put me in coach,
give me off ning like Rivers.

Speaker 2 (01:52:23):
I mean I don't look. I mean he knows the game.
We know that he has the sign. He's one of
those guys is flirting the lines of Hall of fame.
He did this song and dance five years ago when
he got that Indianapolis coach. But you know, those years
start to stack up. You know, I know he's been
coaching and he's been around it. That's another thing to
let's just look at the rest of the Indianapolis coach schedule, Like,
what type of defensive end is gonna be chasing this

(01:52:43):
old ass man around?

Speaker 4 (01:52:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:52:45):
What fifteen years ago? I liked him a lot. There's
a reason they signed her to the practice squad first
and foremost. Okay, Yeah, I.

Speaker 19 (01:52:51):
Feel like this is Derek Carr two point, but Michael
Wared fired out a super chat taking to look at
your the coats are so cooked.

Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
He said he should have stayed retired. He wasn't that
good the last time he was in Indie.

Speaker 1 (01:53:07):
Chance to make money, though, make some paper stick stick
with the coats.

Speaker 2 (01:53:10):
And this is something that Chris balland Chris ballad may
be under like, it may be something coming down the
pipeline with him as the front office guy and as
a GM like you legitim really sacrifice everything for Anthony
Richards because people told you he had the ability to
be this great quarterback. Nothing about his game, nothing about
his footage ever suggested that he was gonna be ccessful
at this level. But you chose to go get him
with the number five pick. Then you chose to make

(01:53:32):
the move with Sauce Gardeners, and you gave away all
your first round picks, so now you're cooked with your
draft capital. And then you sacrifice everything because you said,
Dame Jones is a team that can lead this quarterback.
Whether right or wrong, we'll never know. But you made
a lot of moves. And next year, like this year,
the season's over and next year you're in grave trouble.

Speaker 1 (01:53:49):
And by the way, you're in trouble. Look at who
they're playing. You're right, I mean Philip Rivers. If he
goes out there and takes a snap, kudos Stamp. They're
playing the Seahawks, Dachill playing the Niners, who are playing well.
Jaguars defense isn't terrible. Then they close with Houston's defense.
Super real.

Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
If I'm if I'm fill the river, I'm black, I'm cool.

Speaker 1 (01:54:08):
Dude, Seriously, I'm grabbing a sun Cruiser Vodkai's tea and
checking out his Anthony Richards says he even though he's hurt.

Speaker 4 (01:54:17):
I know that for a fan.

Speaker 1 (01:54:17):
Okay, he may not drink, but the facing those defenses
might make you start drinking if you do, swear either. Yeah,
one more he will he will be if he gets
his ass cracking up one more time. One more go ahead?

Speaker 19 (01:54:28):
Yeah, Randall Smalls, he says, If yank, then just find
out a super test souths random. If Yankees are Dodgers
can pay five hundred million, then the Tigers are lucky.

Speaker 3 (01:54:37):
If they could pay three fifties for schoobl and boys knows.

Speaker 1 (01:54:41):
That well said, there's nothing to say behind that. Yeah,
that's good enough for me. You're good enough for us too.
