and basketball. We're not getting up at four am for
you to play hockey. It's just not gonna happen. Loved though,
the Red Wings when they were doing it, the just
the party going nuts, everybody having fun, and just the
amount of people that had pictures of Osgoode on their wall,

and Vernon after that hole fiasco, then Shanahan, then of
course Darren McCarty, right, guy, like just an absolute legend.
If you would have told my sixteen year old self that, hey,
when you're forty three, you and d maac are going
to be teammates at a sports network, right, I never
would believe it. But Batman right there, I'm so glad

he had this moment. He was built for that moment.
And you work with him every day now too. You
see that you're just doing that fir his teammate that
had nothing to do with Darren McCarthy. That's the best
part about that. That had everything to do with him
getting retribution. I'm one of a guy who messed up
his best friend.

Yeah, you know what, watching this and you never want
to bring to the great thing about this moment ninety five.
I try to get all my boys to watch hockey.
I'm like, you gotta watch the Red Wings. I'm like, look, bro,

we're not buying it. And then when this happened, it
changed the dynamic. Yeah, you see people fighting, but when
you see your team fighting, only your city, and then
you see your city winning.

that the Red Wings would win a Stanley Cup before

you know, watch the TV from the steps. So that's
how long it goes. But that was an amazing game

Bird and Magic. Some people say the semi final when
Magic beat the Notre Dame Fighting Iris was the real
championship game. Indiana State came in unbeaten. They had to
get a last second shot to get in that final four.
But that team was all Larry Bird. He didn't have
a heck of a lot of help on that Sycamore team,
but they went undefeated till the end. And the Green

they took it off the sheet.

That game was a birth of the NBA as we
know it. You know, you look at that game. I'm

comes in next year because he set out that first year,

have heard some soft Michigan State fans saying that they
don't want to play Michigan for a third time and
they can't see a reason because they don't match up
well against them. And I would give you that argument

makes a lot of sense if Michigan didn't go out
and win the Big Ten Tournament. Because Michigan went out
and did something your team couldn't do, they owned the
Big Ten Tournament title right now. So wouldn't you, as
a natural competitor, want to take down the team that
won your conference tournament. That's where I don't get Michigan

States shying away from this matchup, whether you think you're
gonna beat them or you're not going to beat them.
They were the ones cutting the nets, not you, So
why wouldn't you want to show them? Hey, you know what,
we got you twice during the regular season. Yes, you

I'm learning Michigan State people are very soft when it
comes to this. They don't want the rivalry because I
believe it goes back to a philosophy. My dad used
to say, you never want to fight a little person. Right,
You're supposed to win, but if you lose, you look
like an absolute So there's no winning and getting into
that fight.

of the NC DOUBLEA tournament. How you ever gonna talk
to us about basketball? You got to have to stand out.
But I just don't understand the people who don't want it.
I want it so bad, like I want it for
the network, I want it for the views. I want
to content. Nothing could go wrong if those two teams
play each other.

I think the difference between you know, football and basketball
is just talking about this playoff situation, like we'll all
being the number one seed. Like, if you want to play,
if you beat Michigan who beat Auburn in college basketball,

It doesn't matter, right, you beat the team that beat
the team, You beat the team that was in front
of you. So with that being said, if you play Michigan,
it doesn't soured.

between Florida State and Alabama, and then they made a

the players wanted to play Alabama. And you saw that
the fans didn't want to play Alabama. We can be
