Speaker 1 (00:22):
All ride alright, alrighte okay, Hello, hi and howdy, this
is your man.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
It's JK. Moore, welcoming you back breaking tradition. So tonight
we are going to begin a brand new series talking
about the importance of operating in the place and in
the capacity that God has placed each and every one
of us in. So what I mean by that is
(00:50):
a lot of times when people join let's say a
ministry for instance, the leaders of that ministry might have
a person operating in two or three different sub ministries,
if I can use that term, have them doing one thing,
and then when they're not doing that, have them part
(01:11):
of doing something else and just kind of wearing them thin.
And y'all, I'm speaking directly from experience on this, and
I know for sure I ain't the only one. So
again we are going to be talking about the importance
of staying right where God puts you and operating in
that capacity or capacities. It could be more than one sometime,
(01:35):
but it's not supposed to be all scattered. In other words,
you ain't supposed to have your hands and a bunch
of different piles.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
So we are going to go ahead and.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Dive right into this brand new teaching presentation if you
will that I have labeled or titled stay in your Lane. Okay,
so if you all are ready, hop in, strap in,
get comfortable, and let's go ahead and take this ride
and start breaking this tradition of people being involved in
(02:06):
multiple different things in ministry and how it can actually
cause you not to have much results. Okay, if that
makes sense. Sounded made more sense in my head as
I was thinking it. But anyway, so we are going
to begin tonight looking at scriptures, and it is coming
(02:29):
from the Book of Numbers, chapter twenty seven, starting reverse
number twelve. Get to dive into a little bit of
that old Testament and the old folks used to call
it numbers, chapter twenty seven, starting with verse number twelve.
(02:49):
And I will put a quick pause for the calls
for those who maybe will be following along in their
own Bibles or apps or whatever it is you use
to get your word of God in.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Oh right quick.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
I have a small fan going in the background because
at this South Carolina weather is wont to do.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
We went straight from dog on wintertime in the early summer,
so I got a little fan blowing here. But it
hasn't gotten quite hot enough to start running at ac yet.
So again, if y'all happen to hear that, I think
I had the mic set up to where I won't
pick it up. But if you do happen to hear
it again, y'all forgive me your man's JK. Just trying
(03:43):
to stay two as we take this ride. Okay, numbers
chapter twenty seven start reverse number twelve, and it reads
the title of this section in my Bible, and by
the way, I most of the time I come from
the New Living Translation. So it says Joshua chosen to
(04:03):
lead Israel. One day, the Lord said to Moses, climb
one of the mountains east of the river, and look
out over the land I have given the people of Israel.
After you have seen it, you will die like your
brother Aaron, for you both rebelled against my instructions in
(04:27):
the wilderness of Zen. When the people of Israel rebelled,
you failed to demonstrate my holiness to them at the waters.
These are the waters of Marabah at Kadesh in the
wilderness of Zen. Okay, so real quick, just to bring
us up to speed a little bit on where we're at.
(04:50):
A couple of chapters earlier, it had gotten to the point,
or one of the points where the people of Israel,
after Moses had led them out of Egypt, and they
were on their way to their established promised lands, back
to their established promised lands that God had for him.
There were times where the people get weary of being
(05:11):
out there traveling and they start kicking up noise and
a ruckus.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
So one of these particular points.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Okay, the people were like, yeah, y'all got us out
here in this wilderness, all right, we're tired of eating
this manner. We don't have food, we don't have water.
So God had instructed Moses to talk to a rock,
and that rock would then bring forth water to quench
the people's thirst. But by this point, all right, Moses
(05:42):
was so fed up with the people and their foolery,
and they had got him to the point where he
was quite literally ready to hurt somebody. Well, instead of
talking to the rock to bring forth the water, he
took his staff and smashed it into the rock, not once,
but twice, okay, and then it brought forth the water.
(06:05):
But at the same time, it also that you know,
if I could say this kind of sealed Moses' doom
in a way because God got upset at him for
acting out of anger at that point. In other words,
God's re minded him. Okay, I did not tell you
(06:27):
to strike the dog on rock. I told you to
talk to it.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
To bring forth the water.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
So he's saying, so sin through rebelled against what I said,
and in other words, that you chose to get in
your feelings at that time.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
You're going to see.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
The Promised Land, but you will not be entering into it.
And as they said, by this point, his brother parent
had died, and he told him, okay, so as soon
as you see this promised land, you're going to die,
just like you're brother, who was Moses's uh, what's a
good word, co leader or second in command at this time.
(07:07):
So I remember the very first time I read this,
and I was just I was like, man, that must
have been a hurting, terrible feeling for Moses. Not the
part with his brother dying, which you know, I'm well,
I'm assuming you know he felt some type of way
(07:27):
about that too, because there was his brother. But no,
I'm talking about the fact that he had trusted in
God followed all God's instructions up until then, even starting
end Egypt. Before they left out, all they had gone
through and we're talking years, okay, forty years. People that
(07:49):
that is, honestly, that that's most of our lifetimes, spend
most of their lifetime going through deserts and forests and
tree and wilderness all this stuff to get them quite
literally right to the doorway of this promised land that
(08:13):
God had y'all leave and go through all that stuff
for just to be able to see it and then die.
I was I was like, man, I try to put myself,
you know, and Moses is bringing at that point that
thought process and yo.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Full disclosure, y'all had to be me, all right, it
had to be in your man's j K.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
No doubt that would have caused me to get angry again.
I'm like, well, okay, Lord, all right, you're already telling
me I'm not going to actually be able to enter
into this promised land, okay, And all all these people's
myths I've had to put up with over all these years. Okay,
(09:04):
not not just the people, but but dealing with the
you know, the nature itself, all right, the conditions in
the desert that at one point God has sent It
said that God sent forth a bunch of poisonous snakes
to bite and had people dying from that. Okay, all that,
I'm like, Lord, why they got to be injury? Added
(09:26):
to the insult with me being able to see this promised.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
Land before I die? I mean you know that that
does they have to go that far? All right? Is
it that serious?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Well, hey, we're talking about God, so I guess the
answer is, yeah, it is that serious. So because Moses
veered out of his lane, didn't follow the instructions of God,
and think about when you're driving. You know, there's different
signs all over the road. Of course right away, the
(09:57):
most important one the speed limits signed, but all other
types of stuff telling you what to anticipate coming up,
like curves and yields and stop signs, all that stuff.
Because he veered out of that lane of where God
had put him and had him to do, well, now
you know, he gets to suffer the you know, I
(10:21):
would say, the probably the humiliation. I'm sure again, I'm
sure he felt some type of way about that, and
also the giving up of his life because had he
not struck the rock and spoke spoken to it as
God had commanded him. Okay, not only would he have
crossed over into the new Promised land, but he no
(10:45):
doubt would have lived and you know, probably been able
to enjoy some of it.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
But he didn't.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Why because he veared and got out of his lane.
All right, let us continue. I'm trying to get away
over there.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Then Moses said to the Lord, Oh Lord, you are
the god who gives breadth to all creatures. Please appoint
a new man as leader for the community. Give them
someone who will guide them wherever they go and will
lead them into battle. So the community of the Lord
(11:24):
will not be like sheep without a shepherd. So again, y'all,
Moses is a better man than me. He really really is.
Like I said, I would have definitely gotten my feelings again, okay.
And at that point she bumped just striking one rock,
I would have been striking every rock, tree, and no
(11:47):
doubt a good handful of them. Dog on people. I
was leading too at this point. But then again, Moses
that heard what God had instructed him. I guess he
accepted his fate and no doubt had a moment of
clarity like, okay, well, I got in my feelings one time, before,
(12:07):
and that's why I'm at this point that I'm at now.
So instead he chose to be the bigger man, which
is one of the reasons why God had even chosen
him for this all important mission. And instead of sitting
there in sorrow and wallerman, which honestly wouldn't have made
no difference anyway. Okay, if God none told you, as
(12:29):
soon as you see this land, you're gonna die, well,
then doggy, that's.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Just what it is. His heart went out to the people.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Or for the people, and so he prayed the next God,
all right, you know, give them a strong leader. And
knowing what he had been through with these clowns for
the past four decades, yeah, they would definitely need a
strong leader, not only to put up with that, but
to begin the important mission of establishing the community and
(13:03):
the communities once they reached over or once they cross
over into this land. And he's already anticipating battle, because
as you go for it, it's said that this promised
land was already occupied by other people. So the Jews.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Were gonna have to go in there and take it
by a force.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
So, yes, they would need a strong leader, a strong guide,
and a strong commander not only again to lead them
in there get everything established, but even before all that,
to pretty much go in there and wipe these people
out and get them off their promised land. The Lord replied,
(13:43):
take Joshua, son of None, who has the spirit in him,
and lay your hands on him. Okay, so you see
that spirit right here is capitalized. So when God was
saying that he has the spirit in him, he's not
talking about you know, he has an attitude or personality
(14:04):
of being vesty and energetic and things like that. You know,
sometimes we might say, oh man, you know, boy, that
that person really, that person, you know, really got some
spirit in them.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
They got some spunk.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Okay, No, not talking about that analogy or that circumstance. No,
when that capital spirit, he's talking about his Holy Spirit,
and lay your hands on him, which, as we see
all through our scripture, what laying hands on symbolizes. Okay,
you're imparting, you're mantling to that person. Okay, you're activating
(14:43):
gifts in them that God has put in them before
they were even born. So that's the importance. One of
the importance of laying on hands of people in Scripture
first number nineteen, him to Eli the priest, before the
whole community and publicly commission him to lead the people. Okay,
(15:09):
so Eli, high priest. So, of course, being that this
entire transition of power and responsibility is commanded and ordained
of God, of course he would use a high priest
to pray over him for his strength, his protection, his wisdom,
(15:32):
and everything else he's gonna need for this. And also
because the high priests were one of the most important
voices in this time in these communities, in this country.
It would put some what's the word validation, It would
put like another level of validation on Joshua to the
(15:53):
people to let them know, Hey, just the big man now,
the headman charged. So what he says, we're going to
do okay verse number twenty, transfer some of your authority
to him, so the whole community of Israel will obey him.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Again, just like I said in verse eighteen. The importance
of why he's telling him to lay on the hands
transfer that authority, sanctifying him, sealing him, anointing him for
the mission that God has won. When direction from the
Lord is needed, Joshua will stand before Eliazar, the priests
(16:35):
who will used the orim one of the sacred lots
cast before the Lord to determine his will. This is
how Joshua and the rest of the community of Israel
will determine everything they should do. So in other words,
God just telling them, okay, just like before, this is how,
(16:56):
this is how it's going to go. Doing a a
visual showing of how these things took place. And again
it's validating them, it's stealing them. So Moses did as
the Lord commanded. Yeah, this time he presented Joshua to Eliazar,
the priests and the whole community. Moses laid his hands
(17:19):
on him and commissioned him to lead the people, just
as the Lord had commanded through Moses. So again I
wanted to start off using this example a very important
example of what happens when we don't operate in the capacity,
(17:44):
in the instructions, in the guidance, in the gifts that
God has put in us and instructed us how to
use these things. It could lead to are not receiving
something or some things that God had force, just like
(18:08):
he had the promised land for Moses. And by also
veering and swerving out of that lane and getting into
another lane which you're not supposed to be. Again, think
of it as just like when you're driving, you move
out of whatever lane you're in, not paying attention or
(18:30):
trying to be in a rush, breaking speed limits, driving recklessly.
One of the things that can lead to is a crash,
and unfortunately sometimes those car crashes result in death. Well,
Spiritually moving, swerving out of your lane, getting involved, not
staying focused with where you're supposed to be and what
(18:52):
you're supposed to be doing, could also lead to premature death.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Just as it did with Moses. Nah.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
I mean it could be argued, oh well, you know,
even if he had crossed over to the promis Land,
he could have died right then and there. Yeah, I'm
very true. At this point, we ain't gonna never know,
but it's my strong belief that no, he would not
have died then because, like I said, I can't see
God what doing spiritually doing the exact same thing with
(19:26):
Moses as being done here with Joshua, laying hands on him,
imparting the Holy Spirit in him, being with him, talking
through him throughout those forty years, have him go through
all that stuff, put up with all the mess and
the rigamarole, just to cross over to the Promised Land
(19:47):
and die and never be able.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
To enjoy the promised Land.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Nah, like I said, just my thought, just my opinion,
but I don't think that would have happened, all right,
So now.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
We will go from there.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
To some more scripture here coming from the Book of
Second Samuel, chapter six. And yeah, y'all forgive me. I
didn't want to make two too many slides for this,
so I was like, well, shoot, we'll just take these
(20:29):
straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. But the
sight I'm on here is called Biblegateway dot com. Fantastic,
fantastic resource to get your scriptures from because they have
the scriptures in I want to say, pretty much every
(20:49):
known version of the Bible there is, so it's awesome, awesome.
I use them quite often. So yeah, now we're gonna
hop over to again the Book of Second Samuel, chapter six,
starting to reverse number one, still hanging out here in
the Old Testament. And I will put another quick pause on,
(21:15):
give you all time to get to it.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
M hmmm, and you all right, should be long enough? Okay,
(21:48):
again Second Samuel, chapter six, begining reverse number one, and
it reads, so the title of this section is moving
the ar to Jerusalem. Then David again gathered all the
elite troops in Israel thirty thousand and all. He led
(22:11):
them to Byalah of Judah, who bring back the Ark
of God, which bears the name of the Lord of
Heaven's Armies, who is enthroned between the Cherubman. So for
any of those people who.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Think that the God that we worship and serve doesn't
have a name, or they go with from that scripture
where he says, I am who I am, or I
am that I am?
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Okay, the scripture right here.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Tells us, yes, he indeed does have a name, But
we could also tell him by the fact that he
had that information secured in the Ark. That is not
something that's supposed to that should have ever been general
general knowledge, so to speak. And I've had discussions with
(23:10):
people about that. They're like, oh, well, you know, other
religion gods they know their names, And again, y'all, my.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
Thought process is, but.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Yeah, honestly, who cares? Okay, what's more important knowing the
name of the Father or doing and following his commandments
and instructions so that we hopefully get to actually reign
(23:47):
and rule with him in the eternal life, okay, with
which is honestly more important. So in other words, quit
focusing and harping on the insignificant stuff.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
All right.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
You want to know what God's first name is, well,
do what it takes to to after we get, after
you get judged by him, to have him accept and
welcome you into heaven, and then you'll have all of
eternity to learn what his name is. And even then
(24:20):
that's if he hairs to share it with us. All right, Yeah,
focus on that, Focus on the commandments, Focus on the
operating and the gifts. Focus on the preaching and the
teaching about how to get saved through his son Jesus
to Christ. All right, that that's that's what you you
(24:42):
focus on. Put put your energy and your your thought
into that, like I said, the truly important stuff.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
All right, Okay, it's let's continue on.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
They placed the Ark of God on a new cart
and brought it from a Benadab's house, which was on
a hill. Aza and Ohio Abinadab's sons were guiding the
cart that carried the Ark of God. Ohio walked in
front of the arc. David and all the people of
(25:14):
Israel were celebrating. Before the Lord, singing songs and playing
all kinds of musical instruments liars, harps, tambourines, castanets, and symbols.
But when they arrived at the threshing floor of Nakan,
the oxen stumbled, and Uzah reached out his hand and
(25:38):
steadied the Ark of God. Then the Lord's anger was
aroused against Uzzah, excuse me, and God struck him dead
because of this, So Azah died right there beside the
Ark of God. David was angry because the lord's anger
(26:02):
had burst out against Uzzah. He named the place perez Uzzah,
which means to burst out against Uzzah, as it is
still called today. Okay, So right away, if you go
back and read about the sons of a Benedet, they
(26:23):
were Leevites, and Leevites were the tribe or the people
of Israel that operated in the priesthood, Okay, which is
why two priests were selected to load it onto the
cart and to ride one in front and one in
(26:44):
back of it. Now, if any of you guys are
movie officionados like myself, you might have seen a movie
called Raiders of the Lost Art Indiana Jones, and in
that they created a representation of the arc. And if
(27:06):
you remember when Indiana Jones and his friend Salah had
gone down into the hole.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
In Egypt where the arc was resting at that.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Time, instead of touching it themselves, there were these long poles,
and the arc itself had holes or loops in it
to where you could slide those poles in.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Once those poles were.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
In place, there was so much a couple of feet
of it in what would be known as the front
part of it. There was a couple of feet pole
in the back part of it. The reason for that
was to keep them from touching the arc, because God
(27:56):
had plainly said they weren't allowed to.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Touch the arc.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Okay, it was considered holy above anything else. So when
Uzza saw that because of the oxen that were carrying
the cart that dark was sitting on, so they was
about to fall okay, he did with I mean, honestly,
myself and other people would have done if they saw that,
(28:25):
thinking to myself, okay, oh shoot, man yo, this is
you know, not not an arc, is the arc of God?
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Oh shoot, this thing is about to fall off the cart?
All right, well, I very well can allow that to happen.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
I'm one of the people who's guiding the cart for
it to be on. So shoot, man, let me just
you know, reach up and make sure that it stays
in place while the oxen stumbling probably hit a rock
or something. Let me just reach up and you know,
make sure it don't fall. And you know, again, I
(28:59):
wouldn't have thought being.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
Leevit.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
I mean, of course I would have known the instructions
and the importance of the arc and the destructure of God.
But still knowing that it's the arc, guy, I would
have done I'm saying, ain't reached my hand up to
try to study it to keep it from falling to
the ground. What just like God's commandment to Moses about
(29:24):
how to bring forth the water, Okay, it's non negotiable
that there is no no option b do it the
exact way I said, do it. Same thing when it
comes to the arc. Don't matter if you're priest or not.
I said, nobody's dog on hands supposed to go on
this thing. And that's exactly what I meant, whether you're
(29:46):
trying to, you know, study it or not. So he
touched it, and then you know, God dropped him like
a fly right then.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
And there.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
So again it's understandable that David got angry at that
point because he's thinking itself and come on, God got
me there the man. We're just trying to keep the
thing from falling on the ground, you know, And ain't
like he was trying to trying to open it up
or not trying to push it onto the ground itself,
(30:21):
or ain't just touching the thing just because he ain't
had nothing better to do, so makes sense. And of
course David, knowing this very strict commandment from God, still
all right. But you know, people are human, y'all. They
have human reactions, So of course he got angry. But
(30:41):
in order to honor this man, he gave the spot
where that happened a brand new name, not only to
honor them, but most deaths, so as this story would
be retold throughout time. And I I'm sure this story
was we told throughout the people so they'll know, hey,
(31:05):
this is how this place got his name.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
And also very very strict reminder, y'all.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Okay, next time, just let the dog on thing fall,
all right, but don't touch it for no reason, just
don't touch it. But it's the interesting between verse number
eight and verse number nine, how David went from being
angry to verse number nine, where it says David was
now afraid of the Lord and he asks, how can
(31:36):
I ever bring the Arc of the Lord back into
my care?
Speaker 1 (31:41):
All right?
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Just like I said a minute ago, y'all, because we're human,
we're gonna go through those human emotions. So my man
David went right from being mad that God did that
to being afraid, thinking, okay, man, shoot, well, yo, what
what would he do the same thing to me? I
touched it to try to steady it or put it
(32:03):
back in place. So he asked, okay, I cannot bring
this thing into my care, all right, but shoot, you
want me to post it up in one of my castles. Well,
what myself or one of my wives or one of
my kids happen to, you know, accidentally run by this
thing and touch all right. If David didn't know before that,
he definitely knew what was up at that point, and
(32:27):
that God said what he meant and meant what he said.
So David decided not to move the Ark of the
Lord into the City of David. Instead, he took it
to the House of a better Dom of God. The
Ark of the Lord remained there in a better Dom's
house for three months, and the Lord blessed a better
(32:51):
Dom and his entire household, or that that dog gone David.
David be up to stuff y'all in these scriptures. So
right away my man was thinking, forget that noise, all right,
I'm not about to have this thing in my city
again and in one of my castles or in one
(33:14):
of my homes alight. So let me go ahead over
and check out my man. Obi yo Obi got an
important job for your brother. Yep, yep, yep, that's exactly
what you think it is. It's the ark of the Lord.
Well guess what I, as your king, I've decided, you know,
(33:34):
through world decree, that we're gonna keep the arc here
at at your house.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
Yeah yeah, yeah, you know, I trust you. I know
you pretty well.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
No, you ain't gonna let nothing happen to it, so
we're just putting you out back from your shed or your.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Garage, out of sight, out of mind. Boy. I read
this and I was like, Man, did David really set
ob up like that?
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Shouldn't surprise me because it's the same man who's sitting
his best friend off the dying the war all right,
just so he can get in that man's wife's cookies.
But anyway, let's not straight off and the other thing.
We'll come back around to it. But David being David,
and obviously God didn't have a problem with it because
he didn't tell him that he couldn't leave it there,
(34:21):
so stayed there for three months. And well, because it's
the ark.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
Of the Lord. And even though the scripture.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
Doesn't say it, I am quite quite sure that David
told him what happened on our boy Uzzah and gave
him strict instructions. Yet groj just okay, just pretend like
the learned thing ain't even here, don't even look at it,
don't even talk about it. So God blessed obi Hire
(34:49):
or allowing his arc to stay in his house, him
and the entire household, makes sense, all right.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Verse twelve.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Then King David was told the Lord has blessed Obetta
Dom's household and everything he has because of the Ark
of God. So David went there and brought the Ark
of God from the house of Obetta Dom to the
city of David with a great celebration. After the men
who were carrying the Ark of the Lord had gone
(35:23):
six steps, David sacrificed the bull and a fat in calf,
and David danced before the Lord with all his might,
wearing a priestly garment. So David and all the people
of Israel brought the ark of the Lord with shouts
(35:44):
of joy and the blowing of Ram's horns. Okay, So
again going back to staying in our lanes, doing what
we're supposed to do.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
Azah.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Being of the priests of the priestly tribe, priestly order,
all right, he knew the instructions, in other words, or
to put in the monitor. Okay, he understood the assignment.
And again from what we're told here, he wasn't operating
out of uh fleshley place or out of a place
(36:23):
of you know, stupidity or any type of malice. He
was simply trying to keep this most important treasure, this
most important resource on planet Earth from falling onto the ground.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
And he got struck dead for it. Okay.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Yeah, looking at it at one from from one point
of view, you might say, God though, that's a bit harsh,
But hey, the word of Lord is the word of Lord,
and no matter what we say or how we feel
about it, God's instructions are to be followed, no questions asked.
So because he did not stay in his lane, the
(37:08):
man got struck down for it, for disobeying the direct
or one of the direct commandments of God. Again, y'all
very very very important that we do what God says
(37:28):
how God says it. And as I was getting this together,
or I guess I should say, as the Holy Spirit
was laying this on me, made me remember the last
teaching about church hopping and how I said repeatedly throughout
that teaching, no, if God tells you to move to
a different congregation or a different group because He has
(37:50):
need of you there, you better go, you better go.
And even within that, that is kind of an example,
or no, not kind of his example. Still staying in
your lane, being where you're supposed to be where, not
just where you're supposed to be, but how you're supposed
(38:11):
to be there and how you're supposed to be doing it. Okay,
So that's what we got for that, and actually, yeah,
we're gonna stop right there for tonight. So and speaking
(38:32):
of staying in your lane, again, as God was laying
this on me, it may remember about two years ago
I think I had to take my car to the
dealership to get a service done, so they put me
in a rental. And as I'm speaking of staying in
your lane driving down the Interstate.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
I was.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
About to go and get into another lane to kind
of you know, speed up and advance. It was a
three lane highway, and as.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
I went to.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Turn the steering wheel left to get into the next lane,
I noticed the dog on steering wheel like it started
trying to fight me and on its own was turning
itself back to the right lane and the you know,
the lane that I was, the lane that I was
coming from. And at the same time, the new display
(39:33):
that you know comes in vehicles, It came up showing.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
What's the word, not a computer graphic, but the.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Lines it shows on there where it shows how the
lanes are, especially like when you're if you're going in reverse,
and it shows the you know, the width of your
car and shows you how how close you're getting and
how far you can go to either left or right
or the same thing was coming up there and I'm like,
what in the world, So I'm.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
Saying, and they're fighting this dog on thing.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
I'm like, no, I want to get into the left lane,
so I'll usually turn on my turn signal if I'm
switching lanes like that. So I popped on the turn
signal like I'm turning left, and went and did it
again and finally let me take back control and get
into the next lane, and I've advanced on. So I
(40:22):
was like, what in the dog one world? But then
I quickly realized, Okay, well that's a new safety feature
because think about it. How many times have you heard
of people dozing off behind the wheel or you know,
you got people who don't pay attention as they're driving,
you know, looking around or looking at their phone or
(40:43):
doing something. And again you know they're they're veering off
and the oncoming traffic or bought the veer off onto the.
Speaker 1 (40:50):
Off the side of the road and run into the
railing or whatever it may be.
Speaker 2 (40:54):
And I said, you know what I said, Actually, that's
very smart, excellent feature to have in the vehicles. So
in other words, it's helping you to stay in your
lane just in case you having to doze off or
not paying attention or something like that safety feature helping
to keep you alive. The same exact thing when it
(41:16):
comes to operating in the Kingdom of God. So I
thought that was pretty awesome. And like I said, I
had completely forgot about that dog on car.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Until I was.
Speaker 2 (41:27):
Getting this together, and I was like, you know what, Yeah,
I don't think I would want a vehicle with that
feature on it, you know that have all the time,
because I don't want to have to be fighting with
the dog on steering where okay, if I'm trying to
switch lanes or whatever to get while I'm trying to
go to But again I applaud the automobile makers and
(41:48):
thank don't for putting that in there, because people who
do have vehicles with that feature built into it, there's
no telling how many lives it might have saved them
to this point. So, but very very very important whether
you're driving, whether it comes to operating in the Kingdom
of God, doing what you're supposed to do, and if
(42:10):
it comes to your job, if it comes to anything relationships,
staying and operating in what God has placed in us
and the instruction He has given with us is more
important beyond anything.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
Else, because God dogging.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
If God's instructing us to do it, im pointing us
in that direction, trust and believe it is for our
good physically, spiritually, mentally, and everything else, whether we see
it or think about it like that or not. Just
like David when Azad got struck down, Okay, obviously he
didn't like it, but you had to suck it up
(42:51):
and get out of his feelings and see, he don't
with what God had instructed me on to do with
the moving of the arc. Same thing with us, y'all. Yep,
it don't always feel good, and nope, we don't always
want to do it. And to be honest, a lot
of times we may not even understand it right then
and there White.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
God has us doing something, but.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
Eventually it all becomes revealed, and that's when you have
that moment.
Speaker 1 (43:20):
Okay, Lord, now I see why you told me to
do da da da da dad whatever it was.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
And thank you God that I listened because if not, okay,
ain't no telling what type of mess I could have
gotten myself into. And again, y'all, your man's speaking from
experience on that made plenty of mistakes like that and
not following the instruction of God and move when I
was supposed to. And you know, thankfully it didn't cost
(43:47):
me my life, but it could have. It's cost me
other things, your money, time, things like that.
Speaker 1 (43:54):
But you know what, oh well money, you can get
money back time.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yeah, you can try to try to make up for
it in other ways, but your life yet and all that,
that's the one and done. So saying all that to
say thank you Lord. All right, So, like I said,
we are going to stop there for tonight. Yeah about
a quarter quarter on the hour.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
So that's good.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
But we will God willing pick up with this next
week because there's some new Testament scriptures now that I
want to cover talking about the exact same thing about
gifts God put in us, how to operate those gifts,
Why we should operate those gifts God puts in us
and not be worried about gifts that other people have, Okay,
(44:48):
because I'm here to tell you a lot of time
them other people ain't worried about you, Okay. Why because
they're busy operating and staying in their lane, which we
all shit strive to do. Okay, all right, So speaking
of staying in your lane, well, the very first thing
you have to do is make sure you get saved,
(45:09):
all right.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
That that's paramount above everything else.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
There's only one person who can do that for you,
and that is God's son, Jesus the Christ, and you
have to believe, you have to.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
Know beyond the shadow of a doubt, that he is the.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
Only, only, only way that you can get saved and
be with God and hopefully one day but learn learn
God's name. Okay, all right, you want to learn what
God's name is, just the way you do it. And
it doesn't take being in a church building. It doesn't
take any fancy ceremonies. It doesn't take wearing something special,
(45:53):
any special prayer. It doesn't take it doesn't take any
of that. Whatsoever takes is the realization that, hey, I'm sinner.
If I die right now, in the long run, I'm
going to end up going to the Lake of Fire
for eternity, eternal damnation. I don't want that. So Jesus,
(46:17):
I'm putting my faith and my trust in you that
you are the only way that I'm going to escape
that faith. I know I've sinned, i know I'm messed up,
and i know I'm going to continue to sin and
mess up, but I'm going to be saved. I don't
want to do that anymore. So I completely believe that
you are the savior. I completely believe and have faith
(46:40):
that you've died from me on the cross, that you
shared your blood, and it's that your.
Speaker 1 (46:44):
Blood that can wash me clean, make me wholed, make
me saved.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
So I accept that gift of your shared blood spiritually
wash me clean with it. Jesus, I accept it, and
I'm asking you for and I thank you for it.
And once you said that, then say, hey, god Lord
the Father, I've gone to your son. I've confessed my sins.
(47:12):
I've been saved because I accepted his gift of his
shed blood. Hey, I believe it does exactly what your
word said it does. And speaking of your word, you
have a holy ghost that's supposed to come and dwell
within me to activate, yes, and things you put in me.
I didn't even know where there. So, Father, send your
(47:37):
holy spirit and your holy ghost to dwell within me
to turn on and activate those gifts that are in
me so I can rightly use them the way you
want me to use them. And ultimately you stay in
my lane. And then once you say that, they just say, hey, Jesus,
(47:59):
is in your name that I believe and I pray
and I thank you. Amen, And amen means so let
it be is done.
Speaker 1 (48:08):
It's a rap.
Speaker 2 (48:10):
And then if you do all that, hey, go ahead
and celebrate a little bit, but not why if you
are actually driving.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
No, no, don't do celebrate to our them.
Speaker 2 (48:19):
You know, maybe say a wooho or thank you Lord
or something, but yeah, be happy because once you do that, God,
the Father, Jesus and all the heavenly angels, the apostles,
all right, the entire heaven gang okay, tire heaven army.
(48:41):
They're celebrating for you. And the reason why they're celebrating
is because they know that's one more soul that will
not be joining Satan in eternal damnation. So that's why
they're celebrating. And that's why I tell you a celebrate
safely of course. But on the flip side of that,
(49:02):
Satan will not be celebrating. Okay, He's going to now
be extra angry and he's going to turn on the
pressure on you because he wants to a take you
up out of here before your time so that you
can't be a witness and kingdom ambassador for God and
be because again he knows that now you're one more
(49:25):
that's not going to be joining him and the other
falling angels in eternal damnation, so he's gonna dial it
up a bit, bring the pressure.
Speaker 1 (49:35):
And I would never sit here and lie to any
of you all and.
Speaker 2 (49:40):
Tell y'all, oh, yeah, hey, once you get saved, oh man,
your life's going to be great.
Speaker 1 (49:44):
This heck.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
Boy, that would be a lie straight from Satan himself,
because in many ways things are about to get a
whole lot harder or tougher for you, because, like I said, say,
you're gonna crank that dollar up to one hundred, but
he cannot cannot take you up out of here under
(50:10):
his own power. And that's one of the magnificent gifts
of having God's Holy Spirit within you, because then you
get to recognize him, you get to recognize his tactics
and all right, you have bodyguard, you have a guardian
angel who's looking out for you.
Speaker 1 (50:28):
And ultimately you have the Father.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
And just like any good father when it comes to
their children, you ain't gonna let nobody bring no harm
on them.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Mm hmm, not at all. So you gotta addavocate up there.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
You got a big brother in Jesus, you got a
father and the father, and you have a best friend
and guy in their holy spirit, and they'll be right
there with you all the step of the way, is so,
and whether.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
It endure it all right.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
Like I said that some of these people out here
preaching and teaching that once you get saved, everything's going
to be sunshine and ponies and warm chocolate chip cookies,
that that is a flat out lie. No, No, And
not to say that God's not going to bless you,
of course is what is for. What God has for
(51:24):
you is for you, and you will receive it, Okay,
But no, your life overall is going to just be
grand and care free and worry free and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (51:35):
No, because Satan is still very much the prints of
this world.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
And while we're wrapped up in this right here, we're
still in this world. But again, don't let that discourage you,
because ultimately, or as I like to say, don't think
temporarily anymore. These bodies represent temporal We're only here for
(52:01):
a certain amount of time. Then one way or another,
it's got to go on the ground or in the
you know, furnace of whatever.
Speaker 1 (52:11):
I ever. They cremate people.
Speaker 2 (52:13):
Okay, So yet, yeah, don't don't get caught up in
this temporal existence.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
Once you get.
Speaker 2 (52:20):
Saved a Every thought, every move should be dictated by
thinking of your eternal existence, because that's what we are.
We are spiritual beings that just happen to be in
a fleshy body. The spirit is never going to die,
the soul is never going to die. It is quite
literally eternal. But the key question is where will that
(52:46):
soul spend this eternity. An eternal life, eternal joy with
God and Jesus and the heavenly host, or an eternal separation,
eternal death, eternal damnation with Satan, the fallen angels, and
every other soul who died outside of being cleaned by
(53:09):
the blood of Jesus. Nobody can make the decision for you.
It's up to each and every one of us individually,
So choose wisely, all right, all right, So for those

only do what you're supposed to do, because that's what
God has annointed you for.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
To only do what it is you're doing.
Speaker 2 (55:17):
Have other people try to pull or drag you into
their lane, tell them, nope, sorry, can't do it. I
don't need a city named after me because God struggle
me down dead. Okay, all right, we ain't trying to
put no ouzzahs out here. All right, all right, y'all,
So y'all remember love yourselves, but try to love others
(55:40):
even more. Look past all the cosmetic stuff. Don't stop
looking at people's sex, their sexual orientation, their skin color,
and any of that. And remember, like I said, we're
spiritual beings, okay, so remember to have love for them,
even if you have to do it from afar. A
lot of times we do have to do these things
(56:01):
from afar, but just remember to try to treat people
the way you would like to be treated. And like
I said, God willing, we will be back here next
week to do it all again. So until then, guys,
stay safe, stay blessed, stay prayed up, and I will
see y'all when I see you.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
Peace,
