You doing well? So we're here at Denton County Brown
Company here in Denton.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
You guys are doing a show here on Thursday, August
twenty first at the Crossbar of Denton.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Obviously in Denton. Yes, what can people look forward to?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Excitement? Twist turns, surprises action. I mean, it's gonna be
it's gonna be a real fun night. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Well, so let's go all the way back in time.
What is your earliest memory of for.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Wrest two years old? I was nineteen eighty six.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Wow, my mom got me the little LG and Action
figures Action Confident.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
They were a huge but yeah, and they did not move.
What's over? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:55):
Yeah, so that's not really his memory.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
And then fast forward a couple of years.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
My first memory of actually seeing wrestling on TV was
the Hulk Hogan funeral paror segment with the Undertaker where
Savage and Piper ran down with the chairs, you know,
all that stuff. But that's my first replay in my
head of wrestling on TV.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, I think mine was the funeral parlor where Undertaker
got put Ultimate Warrior in the castle.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, I'm like a child.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
This is on like at eleven o'clock at night, when like,
how am I supposed to go to sleep?

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Then it's all right, yeah, yep, absolutely.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Also, how did you get into How did Iron Warriors begin?

Speaker 5 (02:38):
So it's about a year long journey. We not to
get too religious on it, but I started getting signs from.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
God about a year ago when I was at a
Mint retreat in April twenty twenty four.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
And then I just kept getting signs and signs over
the year time, and then April and twenty five, I
was like, okay, I just had this real strong.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Urge to do it right then.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
Yeah, And it was like pulling you almost out of
my chair to you know, get something going.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
So I just started that day. I talk to my
wife and it's been on a roll since.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
That's awesome.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
So literally in two months we've head over a thousand
followers on Facebook, not quite detraction on Instagram.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, the weird one.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Yeah. Yeah, so but got the full roster sign Now
for the show.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Starting to wind down on the talent announcements, We're still
got a few left. One surprise hopefully still to come,
all right, and then uh about four or five more
matches still doing.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
O wow, yeah, because your card already looks fantastic, like
the Made Events amazing. I'm very much looking for the
looking forward to the Malaco Rick Savage match because I've
seen both those guys.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I'm friendly ish with both of them, and I've never
thought to put them together. And I was like, oh wow,
this is gonna be awesome.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
So originally I had Malaco working with Angel Camacho. Okay,
that's the Camacho wasn't able to make the show, so
I switched to Brick Savage, and I got excitement from
both overcome.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I was talking actually Malaco over the weekend in Arkansas.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
And he was like he was very excited because he's
heard so much about him, but he had he never
wrestled him yet.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
So yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
That's gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
So when you started.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Actually putting the company together, having the visions to do it,
where did the name come from?

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Probably I was twenty seven to seventeen, okay, Iron Warrior,
Iron Shopping, and Iron.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Yeah, so that's kind of our slogan. We are not
trying to be in competition with anybody.

Speaker 5 (04:45):
We're trying to give the talent extra opportunities to work
and work with each other and help build up each
other and.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
You know, create a better atmosphere for everybody around.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
Right, So Dallas for where it's not really striving or
not starving for the the market, but this area is.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Yes, there's nothing up here. Yeah, we got you know,
honor and Glory that works from and.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Senor Okay area, but actual Denton, this you know, little
extra uh Excert area does.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Not really have.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
Wrestling, right, So I got I kind of got tired
of driving an hour to go see wrestling. So even
when w W or AW come into town, it's it's
a drive.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah, it's a drive for me.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
And they well they usually are Garland anytime they're in Ireland,
so I'm like, yes, finally, but yeah, anytime they go
to Garland.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Like, oh yeah, going all the way over here.

Speaker 3 (05:42):
Yeah, yes, you're technically part of the metroplex that come on. Yeah,
but you're right about this, this part of the metroplex
not getting any love when it comes to wrestling because unfortunately,
there's nobody trying to book where you know, un T
plays basketball wise. I don't know why, but yeah, like
even independent wise, there's really nothing here. And then you
have to go even further to Oklahoma you really get

(06:03):
anything that's that close.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yep, exactly.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
I tried to go with you and t rout trying
to get closer to the campus. There's a lot of
stipulations you have to jump through to get there, and
a lot of the government buildings here in Denton's a
lot of stipulation you have to jump through and that
come with the building. So that's where we just tided
you to go a little further out, not too far

(06:27):
away from the campus, still about twenty minutes away.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
I saw that.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
So it's a soccer venue, okay, nice and uh, lots
of space and we've fit up to three hundred people inside.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
And then if we you know, outgrow that, we'll we'll
go outside. There's a whole soccer field outside and.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
That's so cool. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Well, so when you started putting the pieces together and
you know the name and then the logo, how did
you then know what talent.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
You wanted to really put on these shows?

Speaker 5 (06:54):
So I have my favorites, So I put my dream
card together in my head, okay, and I started putting
it on paper, and I'm like, what would I like
to see and what would I think other people would.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Like to see? What are first time matches? What are
what does the talent want to do? It is another
thing I was doing. So I reached out to a
couple of talents.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
I'm like, who you've not worked with that you want
to work? So I started going that route with a
couple of people, and uh so that's how a couple
of matches came about, Like the Malaco Bricks match. That's
the first time match no one's ever seen. I have
a match that I'll announce quite.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Later this week, by the time this really yeah, so
it should be released by the time.

Speaker 5 (07:39):
Will all day versus excess from Yeah, so that that
they have rested each other and inspire I believe it was,
but that nothing really around here, it has been a while.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
And then the four way match. I don't believe those
four have ever.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Been in a ring together at the same time, not
that I could think that.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
I know, Gino and.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
Chandler have rusted your Telly quite a bit r ow
days and Izzy and uh kJ now yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
That's h don't call it get the studies.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Yeah, but no he uh those two, you know, are
to the best talents I believe around, along with Gino
and Chandler.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Like, it was amazing, you know, really this whole card
top to bottom. It's a main event, you know, every
every match, so, uh, this should be a really fun night.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yeah, I kept saying every announcement, I was like, Wow,
this is just getting better and better.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
And I was like, what the hell is wors?

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (08:42):
Yeah, so yeah, we'll try. I got a name out
there and get a brand established and hopefully, you know,
we can keep it going on bi monthly shows. We
got we got some stuff playing for October and December
as well.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
Okay, I like that.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Well, so you also have Walker Stewart helping you out
as well because the commentary, and I imagine he's working
a little bit behind the scenes to help you out
as well. And how is how is how much have
you learned from just talking to Walker regularly? Learne trying
to put a show together again.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
So Walker actually reached out to me. I was eager
to help with the show. Awesome.

Speaker 5 (09:15):
You know, I kind of briefly heard the name, but
not really wasn't tooth familiar with him. So I watched
some of his clips and it was just going away,
and so I paired him with Jamie Holliday. Awesome, So
our Jamie Holliday, sorry, and we are gonna put them together.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
It should be a fun team to listen to. And
then we got Emily Taylor being an interviewer, so she's
with a lot of shows and with R O W
and other awesome.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
And then we got Nick Kaiser and the uh the
match announcements and the rig announcer.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
So really good show.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
I love that.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to that part too because I've
heard of them, but I haven't seen a lot of
them in person either.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
So yeah, Nick's kind of a around well rounded guy. Okay,
he's a manager, he's a talent, he h commentary, he
can do it all.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
That's so. And then we got some guys behind the
scenes that are coming in to help you know as well.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
So okay, really good thing.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Well, so when you're putting your show out there, and
obviously this is what kind of your love letter to
wrestling the way you're running a company, how do you
what is kind of your idea of what wrestling it
should look like really right.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
Now in twenty twenty five something for everybody. Yeah, you
got to have your power, old school eighties stuff. So
you got your triple feat with Levi Luke's, Franco D'Angelo
and Ryan David.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
That's your you know, eighties big man power that means
fight right there.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Yeah, and then you got your.

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Your high flyers and uh fast paced action with Fly
Deaf and uh this time they haven't give me a
name for their tag team yet, but uh Shimbashi and
uh Danny Warrion they're gonna be.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
A tag team on the show.

Speaker 5 (11:17):
So we're gonna get a lot of fast paced action
and new age stuff in that, especially from Danny, and.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
We obviously mean we need more tag team love and
when it comes to our resident.

Speaker 5 (11:28):
And then we're gonna have six person Knicks Tag on
the show as well, nothing in her gender or anything
like that, just straight.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Knicks Tag.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
Where we're gonna have Moonshine Mantel, Matthew Palmer, and uh
Shae Carmichael on one team, and then we're gonna have
other team.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
We're gonna be Savage King, Clighton Bloodstone and m J Santana.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
So yeah, there'll be a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Yeah, all those talents are just making few waves when
it comes. Yeah, I was, he was like I was
with Clayton on Saturday too, but I decide it was
great and excess too.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
So I love seeing that everyone's worked.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Everyone in this area is still working around more independence
of trying to get more shows Downey.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
Absolutely, Yeah, they're getting their name out there and you know,
making names himself, like Clayton.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
You know he was.

Speaker 5 (12:23):
kJ actually reached out to me like, hey, I got
you know, Clayton comes along with shows like uh, you
might be you know's got a problem you know or anything.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Absolutely not. If I got a spot for m and
I'll book them from the show still happenings that do.
Something's all through and I've put the mixed tag and
you know, the rest is history.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
That's gonna be good.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
So and one that I'm looking forward to is uh
Edgstone versus Dam Bam alone. That's gonna be a hard hitting,
like fun, fun, fun match to see.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I haven't seen Bam Bam in a while and he
is Yeah, he was very impressive.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
Yeah, it's gonna be a good show. We got.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Nine matches total. Okay, We've got one on the VIP show, yeah,
and then we got eight on the main.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
Card also the so the VIP people that get in early,
they get an extra match.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yep, that's awesome. Are you ready to announce that match
or now?

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Yeah. So it's gonna be Debbie Black versus.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Shilling or so feel's got a very interesting character. Yeah,
I think yeah, we're going with the orphan for stuff.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
So yeah, so you know, debbiean Black, you know, turning
up on the tag team seeing and the Singles team. Yeah,
you know across Texas and uh really everywhere. Yeah, they're
doing some extra work for TNA. Yeah. So him and
Kane Carter, you got tearing up at tax ting scene.
And speaking of Kane Carter, he's got Nobie Bryant, you know.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
On our show, Sonobe Bryant is making huge ways out
I love.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
Yeah, really good guy and you know, amazing talent.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah, no, I think the same thing.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
So you also are giving James Beard the the Legend
Award Legendary referee if we don't know, like it goes
all the way back to the Van Eric days and
is referred everything in between. So how did this award
even come up?

Speaker 4 (14:09):
My brain child?

Speaker 5 (14:12):
So I was just sitting there and uh, you know,
I was just thinking, like, what can we do special? Yeah,
you know a lot of like Sowre does there. I
can't just blank blank on what they do, but they
do like a hall of Fame type segment on their shows,
and so I was like, what can we do something

(14:32):
like that but not really have a Hall of Fame because.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
It's our first show. So I'm like let's do like
a legend of the Ward Texas legends.

Speaker 5 (14:39):
I thought like Iceman, King of Parsons, you know, Kevin
von Eric, you know, and James Beard and you know
those kinds of guys like all back to this sporatorium
type games.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
So I reached out to James.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
I'm like, you know, would you be interested in you know,
coming in and you know we'll see it as a word.
And he's like absolutely, So we got him booked and
he'll be there and accept the award.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
That's awesome. What does the war go look like?

Speaker 4 (15:04):
We're still designing it.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Okay, more than likely, it's probably gonna be a Texas
shape plaque like that and then just our logo and
colors on it, and then you know, Iron Warrior pro
Texas likely to.

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Wards shifting number one with the show date and name
on it or something. But be a cool second.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
Yeah, you're really good now now that you're starting to
actually put a show together, and obviously the times ticking
on show days coming up faster and faster. What have
you learned the most actually putting a show together? Like
you said, things have already fallen out and then things
might fall out again. Who knows, but how is it
kind of rolling with the punches and actually putting the

(15:47):
show together.

Speaker 5 (15:47):
So this is the most loved stress I've ever had.
It's so stressful, but I love it at the same time. Yeah,
it's with a passion. It's you know, something that I
to do.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
Because, as I said, I.

Speaker 5 (16:03):
Want to give these guys the extra opportunities, extra payday,
you know, in their pocket, and allow them to have
a say in what they're doing on the show.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Not you know, I don't want to do that booker.

Speaker 6 (16:13):
That's you know you're doing this and that's yeah, I'll say,
you know, I want them to have to say have
created freedom and from you know, this is their name,
their you know, their likeness, they're you know, their.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
Their business right, So I just want to give them
a platform to do it.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
But yeah, that's that's true.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Yeah, I mean art is collaborative, and so the collaboration
between the artists and you should always be opening for absolutely.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Yeah, let me give you the Camish paint exactly. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
So where who's else who's also helping you kind of
put things together.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Kyle Hesler, he's from hell Bro.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
I've worked with Kyle.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
He's a good guy, big said, Okay, he's coming in
the kind of how about and then we got a
couple of other names that are kind of Stephen Jones says,
ok yeah, that's hardaway. Yeah, you know he's coming in
to kind of help, you know, the ideas and stuff

(17:15):
like that.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
That's good, Yeah, because it could be a lot to
try to put together and like things you don't think
about and then somebody's like, did you do this?

Speaker 2 (17:23):
And I'm like, I didn't know I needed to do
yeahs So that's good.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
So yeah, I have a second show. I call it
the five count, which is five grand. The questions what
song do you park carry?

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Go Kiser?

Speaker 4 (17:41):
Probably the current ones? Uh, Jelly or a liar? That's good? Yeah.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (17:46):
If you owned a liquor company, brewery, liner or a
coffee shop, which one would you owner?

Speaker 4 (17:49):
What would named? Probably a Liner name? Okay, I probably
named it Ryan, my wife Ryan's wine bar. They have
a sign in our in our kitchen that has that
already on it. Yeah, I mean you stick up.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
He's perfect. Yeah. Who's the last person you fan boid
out on?

Speaker 4 (18:21):
It's hard enough to find a Wow, these guys, I'm
talking to him, I'm booking.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Like you're like, oh, I can't believe I'm talking to you.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
Yeah, probably Malacho just because like.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
He's so different you're behind the scenes than he is
in front of the scene, so it's hard not to
just you know, keep that character go uh, you know
up when you're trying to talk to him's But I
actually talked about the thumbnail a game, and I was like,
you're not talking to him that his.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Regular voice and then his character void. Wait different, It's awesome.
Who are what inspires me?

Speaker 4 (18:59):
My kids inspire me.

Speaker 5 (19:00):
Love that, you know, I want to do right by them,
show them, you know, hard work pays off, and you
know I do what you love. Yeah. So and then
my wife, I always want to make sure that she
sees that I'm doing everything for her as well.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Yeah, how was your kids?

Speaker 4 (19:20):
I got five, so yeah, we're a blended family. So
I got eighteen, eighteen, seventeen to twelves and a three.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I collect them all. Yeah, West at least kid kids
like small kids.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
That's that's a place.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
And then what would you tell your seventeen year old.

Speaker 5 (19:36):
Saf Uh, make smart decisions, you know, think about things
before you jump, don't get into debt. I know that one,
you know, we got the one that just turn eighteen.
So I'm like, you're gonna get these credit card offers,
don't don't take them?

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Yeah, so or if you do, make sure they're real
low and then you can't do anything crazy.

Yeah.
