Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, and welcome to the Brogmancia Podcast, where healing isn't
just a buzzword, It's a lifestyle. I'm your host, Charlotte E. Adams, wife, mom, daughter, attorney,
licensed therapist, heart centered hypno therapist, founder of Bromancia Counseling Group,

(00:26):
which is located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where healing blooms
one soul, one story, one pedal at a time. And
I'm a fellow traveler on this wild, beautiful journey called life.
Every Wednesday, we get real about mental health, emotional wellness,

(00:49):
and the kind of growth that starts from within, whether
you're deeply invested in personal development or just beginning to
explore what healing means. Thanks to you, this space is
for you. Here we blend science and soul, therapy and

(01:09):
truth telling because healing should be intentional, rooted, and yes,
deeply transformational. So take a deep breath, settle in and
join me each Wednesday as we glow up, grow deep,

(01:30):
and gently let go. Hello, Hello, Brognancys, and welcome back
to the Brogmancia Podcast. I am your host, Charlotte Adams,
and we are going to dive in into the Charlotte Corner.

(01:51):
So the message I want to share with you all
today is let the shadow speak. What you avoid holds
the key to your liberation. When grief, anger, or fear arise,
listen with compassion. These emotions aren't enemies. They are sacred

(02:15):
messengers asking to be integrated, not silence. All right, So
the title of today's episode is Ain't this a duck?

(02:37):
So this is another heart to heart episode from me
to you Bramancia family, where hey, we tell the truth,
touch the soul, and take healing, one honest conversation at
a time. And so today's episode titled Ain't this a duck?

(03:04):
And yes, this one's dedicated to my husband's grandmother, Grandma Helen,
who would let that phrase fly anytime someone did or
said something so wild, so unexpected, so just wrong. All

(03:27):
she could do was look up and say, well, ain't
this a duck? What the duck? Moments? In life? We
all have them, Moments that blindside us. People who move funny,
family who switch up jobs that promise one thing and

(03:50):
deliver a whole different headache. Relationships that leave you sitting
on the edge of your bed whispering. Now I know
I ain't crazy, and all you can really say is
ain't this a duck? Because no other words will do.

(04:13):
Let's be real, the duck is usually a pattern. Here's
the thing. Sometimes we act surprised, but if we're really
being honest, some of these ducks we kind of saw
it coming. We saw them waddling long before they quacked,

(04:40):
if I can put it that way. The friend who
always takes and never gives. The man who says I'm
not ready for a relationship but wants all the benefits,
the job that's been draining you for the last two months,
the who only calls when they need a ride or alone.

(05:05):
Sometimes the duck is just us ignoring red flags because
we didn't want to sit with the truth. So let's
self check. Are you protecting peace or preserving chaos? Let

(05:26):
me ask you something. Why do you keep staying in
rooms that make you doubt your light? Why do you
keep giving second chances to people who still haven't done
right the first time? Why are you surprised that someone

(05:53):
who's never been emotionally safe still ain't emotionally safe. Listen,
I'm not here to judge you. I've been there, I've
graced and prayed over and understood people so much, I

(06:17):
almost disappeared trying to be the better person. But Grandma
Helen's voice reminds me when folks show you who they
are and keep showing you believe them, you don't need
a sign because you've got a duck. Let me share

(06:44):
this healing in sight when the duck is divine disruption.
Let me flip this script for you. Sometimes the duck
moment isn't betray or disappointment. Sometimes it's clarity. It's the

(07:05):
moment you realize you can't unsee what you now know.
You can't unfeel what your body just revealed. You can't
keep pretending it's not that bad when your spirit is screaming,
we deserve better than this. So maybe, just maybe, the

(07:30):
ain't this adduct moment is your invitation to shift, to
finally choose peace over performance, to release the job, the title,
the person, or the version of you that's been coping
instead of living. I want you to journal on this

(07:52):
one where in my life am I still acting surprised
by behavior I already have enough evidence about And ask yourself,
am I shocked? Or am I finally ready to stop

(08:13):
making excuses for what I no longer need to carry brugmancies.
Grandma Helen wasn't just being funny. She was saying, don't
let foolishness catch you slipping. She was saying, you better

(08:35):
open your eyes and see what's real. She was saying, Babe,
don't stop playing with people. I'm sorry, baybae, stop playing
with people who've been playing with you. So from my

(08:56):
heart to yours today, if you're in the middle of
a duck moment, I see you. I've been you, and
you're not crazy. You're just waking up to what no
longer fits your healed, whole and powerful self. Thank you

(09:20):
for spending time with me today. This was Ain't this
a duck And sometimes a little humor is how we
get to the truth. Please subscribe and like this episode.
I'm sending you courage, clarity, and just enough sass to

(09:40):
walk away from whatever no longer honors your light. You've
been listening to the Brogmancia podcasts. New episodes drop every
Wednesday on Spotify, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, and you can hear
it on the app of Spreaker and all may your platforms.

(10:03):
And until next time, say what needs to be said,
see what needs to be seen, and don't let nobody
play you like a duck. I love you all deeply.
Be well,
