There's things here that whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. I can't

(04:34):
the cause is to two two, two hundred and twenty two.
Like I said, this is an intimate invite, only ten spots.
You know, only ten people can come. But you're gonna

(04:58):
spot or two last left. I'm not sure should have checked,
but contact the office two four eight nine x seven
seven nine ninety six. All right, we're jumping into the
Charlotte corner and I want to give this message. It's
(05:19):
I just need to tell this story. So a a
man lost his mother and he couldn't stop apologizing for
crying in front of his children. I don't want them
to see me weak, he said. And he then told
(05:41):
that his seven year old daughter looked up at him,
tears in her own eyes, and said, Daddy, you cry
like me. And that was the moment he realized grief
wasn't weakness, it was love with nowhere to go. By
(06:01):
allowing his children to see him grieve, he gave them
permission to honor their own hearts. So Brokenancia, family, grief
is not something to hide. It is proof that you
loved deeply. All right. So the title of this podcast
(06:28):
today is the Medicine of saying No. Welcome back to
the Brokemancia Podcast. I am Charlotte Adams, and today I'm
going to talk about a word that often feels sharp, scary,
(06:48):
or even selfish, but in truth It is one of
the most healing medicines we can ever learn to speak.
The word noh. No is not rejection, it's protection. It's
a boundary. It's a way of saying yes to what
(07:10):
truly matters. So why do we fear no? Well, many
of us grew up equating no with disobedience and conflict
or rejection and silence often felt safer than setting boundaries.
Trauma and conditioning can make no feel like betrayal of
(07:32):
others instead of an act of loyalty to self. I
have a question for you. When did I first learn
that saying no was dangerous or wrong? Hmm? I want
to now get into the hidden cost of saying yes.
(07:54):
Every unaligned yes pulls us away from our truth. Over
giving leads to resentment, exhaustion, and disconnection from self. The
metaphor saying yes when you mean no. It's like drinking
poison to keep someone else comfortable. Nervous system piece the
(08:19):
body often tells the truth before we do. A tight stomach,
a heavy chest, your jaw clenching. Your body's giving you
the message of no. So no as medicine, let me
(08:40):
offer three reframes no create space for yes. Every no
clear space for alignment. No is protection, not punishment. It
choows your energy, peace and calling, and no oh is
(09:00):
an affirmation of self worth. Each no whispers I matter,
My needs matter. I want you to take a deep
breath and imagine a moment in your life where you
wanted to say no but didn't feel into that memory?
(09:26):
Where does it sit in your body? Now with your exhale,
whispers softly no, do it again this time firmer no,
and now one more time, clear, strong and steady No.
(09:50):
Notice what shifts in your body when your truth is
given sound. Let's talk about learning to say no with compassion.
How about no because I value my peace, No because
(10:11):
I choose alignment, No because I love myself enough to
stop betraying myself. I have another question for you, bring Nancy,
your family. What are you ready to begin saying no
to so you can finally say yes to yourself? Family?
(10:41):
I want to and by just giving you this beautiful closing,
may your no be medicine. May it heal the parts
of you that forgot your worth, and may it protect
the sacred ground of your life. And may every know
(11:06):
you speak lead you closer to your truest yes. Thank you.
Thank you so much for tuning in to this podcast today.
