Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello and welcome to the Brogmancia Podcast, where healing isn't
just a buzzword, It's a lifestyle. I'm your host, Charlotte E. Adams, wife, mom, daughter, attorney,
licensed therapist, heart centered hypno therapist, founder of Brogmancia Counseling Group,
(00:26):
which is located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where healing blooms
one soul, one story, one pedal at a time. And
I'm a fellow traveler on this wild, beautiful journey called life.
Every Wednesday, we get real about mental health, emotional wellness,
(00:49):
and the kind of growth that starts from within. Whether
you're deeply invested in personal development or just beginning to
explore what healing means to you, this space is for you.
Here we blend science and soul, therapy and truth telling
(01:11):
because healing should be intentional, rooted, and yes, deeply transformational.
So take a deep breath, settle in and join me
each Wednesday as we glow up, grow deep, and gently
(01:32):
let go Brugmancies. Welcome back to the Brugmancia Podcast. It's
such a joy to meet you here each Wednesday, and
as always, don't forget about my books. Couple's Healing Path
to deep Sacred Union, Beautifully Tying the pieces together, Harnessing

your supernatural wellness. All three are on Amazon right now.
I'll put them in your hearts and go ahead and
check out and get them. You won't regret it at all.
So let's go ahead and get into it. We're gonna
go to the Charlotte Corner and I'm going to title
(02:23):
this Scharla Corner. Trust the Energy in the Room, story time,
true story. One night, I couldn't sleep, so my husband
and I put on a movie. And this movie featured
a actress who is a singer that I like. But I
(02:49):
had no idea that this was a thriller movie. And
so midway through the characters begin let's say, let's call it.
They were speaking in tongues, they were making strange sounds.
It was interesting, and suddenly the lights in our house
(03:11):
flickered and the power went completely out. It was like
they were making a mockery right in the movie. And
there was no storm, there was no reason for the outage.
And then about ten seconds later, the lights came back
on and my husband turned to me and said, yeah, no,
(03:33):
we are not continuing to watch this movie. And we didn't.
We were done. We were done with it. But here's
the message. Pay attention. When your environment mirrors the energy
you're consuming, whether it's a movie, a song, or even
(03:54):
a conversation, your body and your surroundings will often respond
before your mind. When the energy feels off, it's okay
to pause, step away, and protect your peace. Your spirit
always knows when enough is enough. Listen to it, all right. So,
(04:19):
since we're stepping into and we are into the month
of October, stepping towards Halloween. At the end of this month,
I titled this podcast the Haunted House, So welcome back
to the brook nanci A podcast. Today we're stepping into
(04:43):
the shadows, into a place where silence holds stories and
walls remember what people try to forget. I'm Charlotte Adams
and this episode is the Haunted House. But I don't
want to just talk about ghosts and creaky doors. I
(05:03):
want to talk about what it really means to be haunted,
because sometimes the most haunted house we ever stepped into
is the one inside of us. There's always that house
in every town, you know, the one shutters hanging, loose,
(05:26):
weeds overtaking the yard, and the kind of silence that
makes children dare each other to run up and touch
the front door before the sun goes down. I remember
one such house near where I grew up. It wasn't
just old, it was heavy, the kind of place that
made you feel watched, even when the windows were broken
(05:48):
and the curtains were long gone. Neighbors whispered stories a
family that had moved in but never fully unpacked, lights
that flickered on when no one lived there, bounds of
footsteps when the place was supposed to be empty. But
here's the truth I've learned in both counseling and life.
(06:09):
Sometimes our haunted house isn't haunted by spirits, but by
unspoken pain. Think about it. Every house is a container
for stories, some joyful, some heartbreaking, some unfinished. We two
are houses. Our bodies hold memories, our minds replay old voices,
(06:32):
and our hearts carry echoes of things we thought we
had forgotten. That's why certain places, or even certain relationships
feel haunted. They stir what still lives inside of us.
When clients tell me they feel stuck, afraid, or like
something is always hanging over them, I sometimes picture them
(06:56):
walking through their own inner haunted house. Openings to old
rooms they rather forget or keep locked. Maybe your haunted
house is the memory of betrayal. Maybe it's grief you
never fully faced. Maybe it's a childhood moment that taught
you to hide instead of shine. So the question becomes,
(07:18):
do we keep running from the haunted house or do
we dare to walk inside. Walking in doesn't mean relieving
every terrifying detail or reliving it as well. It means
turning on the light, naming the shadow, recognizing that what
(07:41):
haunts you no longer has to own you. I once
guided a client through a visualization. I ask them to
imagine standing before a house they were afraid to enter.
Then with current, they opened the door. Instead of monsters,
(08:04):
they found their younger self, lonely waiting, needing compassion. The
haunting wasn't evil, It was a cry for love. Every
haunted house has a chance to be restored, and so
(08:26):
do we We cleanse our inner house by speaking the truth,
by grieving what we lost, by forgiving ourselves, and by
choosing not to carry what isn't ours anymore. That's how
we reclaimed the space. That's how we turn haunted houses
into homes again. So we're nancis, what's your haunted house?
(08:52):
What room inside you feels too dark to open? As
we close today, Remember, ghosts lose their power when we
stop running. Sometimes all they wanted was for us to
(09:13):
see them, and once we do, we can finally breathe
in peace. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
If this episode spoke to you, share it with someone
who may be walking through their own haunted house. And
as always, I'll meet you here next Wednesday, where we'll
(09:35):
keep walking together through shadow, through light, through healing. But
also in the month of October, know that we are
beginning to wrap things up and October will be the
last month of season two for Brognancia Podcasts, and I
(09:57):
will check back in with if you all beginning in

journey for season three. But as always, continue to do
the work and continue to check back in with me
(10:20):
