Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, and welcome to the Bragmancia Podcast, where healing isn't
just a buzzword, It's a lifestyle. I'm your host, Charlotte E. Adams, wife, mom, daughter, attorney,
licensed therapist, heart centered hypno therapist, founder of Bromancia Counseling Group,

(00:25):
which is located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where healing blooms
one soul, one story, one pedal at a time. And
I'm a fellow traveler on this wild, beautiful journey called life.
Every Wednesday, we get real about mental health, emotional wellness,

(00:49):
and the kind of growth that starts from within. Whether
you're deeply invested in personal development or just beginning to
explore what healing means to you, this space is for you.
Here we blend science and soul, therapy and truth telling

(01:11):
because healing should be intentional, rooted and yes, deeply transformational.
So take a deep breath, settle in and join me
each Wednesday as we glow up, grow deep, and gently

(01:32):
let go. Hello, Brgmancia family, and welcome back to the
Brigmancia Podcast. I'm your host Charlotte Adams, and we're gonna
jump on into the Charlotte Corner. And we're gonna talk

(01:52):
about the pause is sacred. Bringmancia family, slow down before reacting.
A pause gives the nervous system time to settle, allowing
you to choose response over reaction. This is where healing begins.

(02:19):
All right. So the title of the Brognancia Podcast today
is Unseen Weight, what we carry but rarely speak. So again,
welcome back to the Brognancia Podcast. I am Charlotta Adams,

(02:40):
and today we're learning and leaning into something most of
us know too well but rarely name, and that is
the unseen weight we carry, the burdens we took inside
our bodies, our minds, and our spirits, the story or
reason we never tell, the struggles we push down, the

(03:04):
quiet heaviness that follows us into every room. This episode
is an invitation not to fix, not to judge, but
to simply notice what we carry, and to begin asking
does this weight belong to me? And do I still

(03:28):
need to carry it? There is a kind of grief
that no one acknowledges, the grief of miscarriages, never spoken
of relationships that ended without closure, disappointments that you never

(03:50):
gave yourself permission to feel, that grief doesn't disappear, It
just tucks itself quietly in side. There's also the weight
of emotional labor, the hidden role of being the fixer,
the caretaker, the one who holds it all together. Sometimes

(04:15):
you carry everyone else's burdens so well that they forget
you have your own. And here's the thing. The nervous
system remembers what the mind tries to forget. That hidden
weight shows up in the body as tension in the shoulders, headaches,

(04:40):
stomach knots, irritability, or fatigue. You can't explain. I want
to invite you to pause right now wherever you are,
and ask yourself gently, what am I caring that I
I've never said out loud. When we carry weight silently,

(05:08):
it shapes how we see ourselves. If the burden is shame,
the story becomes I'm not enough. If the burden is guilt,
the story becomes it's all my fault. If the burden
is disappointment, the story becomes why even try. Unseen weight

(05:35):
also changes how we connect with others. Unspoken pain creates distance.
It whispers you wouldn't understand, or if you really knew,
you'll leave. It even blocks abundance because how can ours

(06:00):
be open to receive when they are clenched tight holding stones.
Imagine this, You're walking through life with a backpack full
of rocks. Stones some were handed to you by family,
some by society, some you picked up yourself along the way,

(06:27):
and eventually the weight becomes normal. You don't even question it.
But normal does not mean healthy. So how do we
begin to set this weight down slowly and gently, stone

(06:51):
by stone? Here are three simple practices that can help.
The first one is breathe and body check in. So
right now, take a slow breath in. I'll wait and

(07:13):
let you breathe that in and then let it out.
Scan your body where do you feel heavy? Your chest,
your stomach, your back? Just noticing is the first step.

(07:40):
Two here's a journal prompt. Ask yourself, what am I
caring that isn't mine? Right freely, no editing, no worrying,

(08:00):
don't worry about if it makes sense, Just let your
body and soul answer, not your mind. Three the release.

(08:20):
Now find a small stone, hold it as you name
what you've been ready to release. Then place it in nature,
maybe in a river, maybe at the base of a tree,

(08:43):
or just on the earth, and say softly I release
what no longer belongs to me, it go and walk away.

(09:03):
Don't rush this process. This isn't about fixing everything overnight.
It's about giving yourself permission to set down, one stone
at a time. Bramancia family, here's the truth. Not all

(09:28):
burdens need to be discarded. Some can be transformed. Stones
can become seeds. Pain can grow into compassion, Loss can
grow into wisdom. Silence can grow into a voice that

(09:52):
heals not only yourself but others. So I want to
ask you, if the heaviness you carry could become a seed,
what would you want it to grow into. Maybe resilience,

(10:13):
maybe tenderness, maybe the courage to speak, maybe a new beginning. Family.
As you go about your day, I invite you to
notice what you carry, and to remember you don't have

(10:38):
to carry it alone. Some things are ready to be
put down, some things are ready to be transformed. If
today's episode spoke to you, please please share it with
someone who might be carrying something unseen. And as always,

(11:04):
I am grateful, and I thank you for allowing me
to walk with you on this journey. And until next time,
may your burdens grow lighter, and may your heart grow freer,
