Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello. Minding is Scale Cavanaugh and the title of this
episode is Women and Marriage. When we talk about submitting
to a man, some women will take issue to this,
especially if the man has been neglect negligent in his
duties to the family. Unfortunately, we have imperfect beings in
(00:23):
the world who do not know the responsibilities to their spouses,
or they refuse to take responsibility and do what they
were called to do. When God created man and woman,
the woman was created from Adam's room and was to
be a helpmate for the husband, who was called to
work in the garden of Eden. The woman was to
submit to the man. Ephesians five twenty three, twenty twenty four,
(00:47):
and thirty two says, well, the husband is ahead of
the wife. Even as Christ is the head of the church,
his body, and is himself it's savior. Now, as the
church submits to Christ, so was should submit in everything
to their husbands. However, after the sin that Adam and
Eve committed in the garden of Eden, mankind was born
(01:11):
into sin, and the sins of the fathers are passed
on to the children. Therefore, we have inherited sinfulness in
relation to marriages. One Corinthians seven to I says, but
because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should
have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.
(01:31):
Infidelity has ruined many marriages, and therefore God makes it
clear that he does not support this. Hebrews thirteen four says,
let marriage be held in honor among all, and let
the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the
sexually immoral and adulterous. Marriage is a covenant between two people.
(01:54):
Genesis two twenty four says there shall be there shall
a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave
unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. The
scripture tells us that when man and women join the flesh,
marriage is created. This is the reason people who are
sexually immoral are considered adulterers. God considers adultery as a
(02:17):
sin against God. God says in Hoseah to nineteen, and
I will betrath you to me forever. I will betrath
you to me in righteousness and injustice, insteadfastness, love, and
in mercy. God has created the institution of marriage for
man and woman. He expects them to be faithful to
(02:37):
one another. There are consequences to these fleshly desires. Verse
Corinthians six nine says, know ye not that the unrighteous
shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Be not deceived.
Neither fornication, nor idolaters, nor adulterers shall inherit the Kingdom
of God. When man and women engage in lustful behavior,
(02:58):
it ruins their relationship with God God. The only way
to reconcile this relationship with God is to confess the
sin and repent. God turns his back on sin. Two
Timothy two twelve says, if we deny him, he also
will deny us. Keep in mind that God turned his
back on Jesus because he could not look at the
(03:20):
sin that Jesus bore when he was on the cross,
and that is why Jesus had to be die on
the cross. God could not save him. Jesus knew at
that moment that God had turned away from him, and
he cried, my God, my God, why have you forsaken me.
Matthew twenty seven forty six says it is no different
(03:40):
for us. When we are carrying a load of sin,
we die spiritually and we risk physical harm. So we
have a choice. We can repent and be saved. John
six thirty seven says, whoever comes to me, I will
never drive away. If we come to Jesus will wulling
heart toward repentance. He will accept us. God desires that
(04:04):
all ho sin be saved. This is how he shews
his love for us. Joel two thirty two says, whoever
calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
This is how sinners are saved and accept Christ into
their hearts. They call upon the Lord to save them,
They ask for forgiveness, and they repent, and then they
begin a life with the Lord, loving him and serving
(04:25):
him because of what he has done for them.
