Metallicus Kirkham named one particular guitar riff that he believes
shifted heavy metal and a new feature with Consequence. The
Metallica guitars chose eleven albums that he thinks every guitarist
should own because of how big of an influence they
had on him. Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti, Van Halen's self
titled debut, Scorpions, Taken by Force, and ACD Seats Back
in Black were among his selection. He also decided a
particular Black Sabbath album, where he went on to explain

how a certain rift on that album impacted heavy metal
and it's not the menacing tritone that Tonyomi plays at
the beginning of the Black Sabbath title track. The guitars
elaborated on the band's performance on Sabotage, describing it as
more progressive, advanced and sophisticated. Then, he specifically pointed out
the rift to the song Symptoms of the Universe, which
he argues sums up both the new wave of British
