- Pantalla: LCD de 7 pulgadas, 1280x800 píxeles
- Sistema Operativo: SteamOS 3.0 (basado en Linux)
- Viene con SteamOS preinstalado, que es una distribución Linux optimizada para juegos de Steam. También es posible instalar Windows en la Steam Deck.
- Nintendo Switch: Es la principal competidora en el mercado de consolas portátiles, aunque no está enfocada únicamente en juegos de PC como lo está la Steam Deck.
- Aya Neo: Otra consola portátil basada en AMD Ryzen que compite directamente con la Steam Deck en rendimiento y capacidad de juegos de PC.
- GPD Win 3: Una consola más pequeña pero potente que también ejecuta Windows y se enfoca en juegos de PC.
