Deirdre was raised in Maryland but has lived in the Boston area for over thirty years, where she has hosted both a Boston radio show and a parenting podcast. She also authored a nationally-syndicated digital and print humor column for over 10 years, and feels that humor is a very important tool when discussing serious topics. Deirdre loves animals, and has three dogs, one cat, one 20-year-old tortoise named Gary (who shows up in her book), as well as a mouse named Snickers that she wishes she didn’t purchase at Petco in a Covid-weary moment!
