The Washington Capitals have signed forward Ryan Leonard to a three-year, entry-level contract, effective immediately, which has an average annual value of $950,000 and extends through the 2026-27 season. Leonard, who was drafted eighth overall in the 2023 NHL Draft, is set to make his NHL debut against the Boston Bruins. At just 20 years old, he brings significant energy to the Capitals, who are focused on the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
