Jesus tells us "The message of the crucifixion is perfectly clear: Teach only love, for that is what you are.” The ego would judge the crucifixion much differently.
On this Easter Sunday, Cate & Shannon read through The Message of the Crucifixion (T-6, I). There are numerous five minute meditations throughout where the group contemplates what he is saying in this section. They are:
  1. “You have probably reacted for years as if you were being crucified.” (paragraph 3) Be honest with ourselves about how we reacted as if we were being crucified, attacked, unfairly treated.
  2. Paragraph 4 ~ Destruction is impossible, because anything that is destructible is unreal. God didn’t make anything other than perfect love.
  3. “…our fundamental equality can be demonstrated only through joint decision.” (paragraph 5) Think about how Jesus never saw himself as persecuted. He didn’t see himself as attacked. He never shared in the evaluation of himself. How he didn’t identify himself as a body.
  4. Contemplate ‘as you teach, so shall you learn’. Think about what Jesus did when he was seemingly attacked and how he’s asking us to do this with him.

Cate recommends reading this entire section, keeping in mind the discussion during satsang.
The final meditation is joining with Jesus and asking him whatever is on our heart. Meditation starts at 1:09:30

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
