Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello, I'm Grace, I'm Nikki.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
You're free to hold the microphone. You can just pass
it between each.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Other Nikki and Benny.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
He said, yeah, all right, well where you prompted on?
What the question was? I?

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Oh what can you repeat it?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Of course? So we have what's keeping you going? Right now?

Speaker 1 (00:23):
M keeping you motivated? What's keeping you?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
What is keeping me going?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
What's holding you together?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
I'm thinking okay as of right now.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Hmmm, friends, friends are really worth keeping me going, especially
this boy right over here, my Benny over here, is
keeping me going. Probably also just like food, like I
don't know, is crazy, Like I just love cooking my
own meals. Like I'm a second year, so I'm out
of the dorms and like just like having a kitchen

(00:55):
and like being able to make food for myself is
so important and it's really like it's fueling me.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Honestly.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Do you go to like a certain type of d
shor just like type of cuisine very often?

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
I love I love, I love making like Asian cuisine
and that's probably.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
My broadly or like Japanese.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
I mean there's multiple, I mean, of course, there's so many. Yeah,
I really enjoy making, like fried rice and chicken like
I like the like trigger jows, like you know what
I mean. Butny, do you have anything else to say
about this?

Speaker 6 (01:28):
My apartment. My apartment doesn't have a kitchen. Oh no,
So what's keeping me going is also Nikki right here.
Can't do it without her. And hmmm, I really have
been getting into nature and like tidepools.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
You uh uh, aspiring.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
One crab can just like make a big difference.

Speaker 7 (01:49):
You're so right.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
Every shell is different, every swirl is unique. Yes, and
it's got to look into it.

Speaker 8 (01:56):
Yeah, it's so it's so frustrating how like all of
the therapists and scientists are like, you know, you would
be less depressed and sad if you like went out
in nature and exercised, and you're like, no, fuck off, And.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Then you do it and it like works.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
God, the hike, like hiking, just like seeing nature and
like putting yourself into it is so so so important. Yeah,
like going to the ocean, dipping your toes in the water,
just getting grounded, touching grass.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Yeah, come on, that's huge.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
That's everything actually fun. Fact, I'm a big hater of
the ocean. The ocean is cool and all the I
don't like sand.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
You know that makes sense, but let's go past the sands.

Speaker 6 (02:37):
My friend this weekend and a big swim in her
pants loved it so much.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Wow, okay, I know who.

Speaker 6 (02:47):
Anyway, this was lovely.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Thank you for your short Thank you guys. Of course
that is lovely.

Speaker 9 (02:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I feel the same way nature friends, food.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah, not a big nature guy. You know. I have
the blood of that is most coveted by mosquitoes, So
it's a bit rough. So Hello, Hello, Hello.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Welcome to chatterbox. Ryan. I'm Grace.

Speaker 10 (03:16):
Grace.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Nice to meet you, Ryan. So you really wanted to
answer our question? So what's up?

Speaker 10 (03:22):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (03:22):
Well, you know, I just always it's always interesting when
people have like this because I think one of my
favorite things to just be able to sit down and
ask questions because I feel like at a time and
age where a lot of people just, you know, they
i'mically assume like all of your beliefs, depending if you're like,
if you think one thing, then like, oh yes, well
they subscribe to that package. And I you know, it's
a very surface level thinking. I just enjoy like having

(03:43):
sit down conversations with people, you know.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, so do you have any any thoughts on opening
up about about.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
What's keeping you going going the question so like you
know what's motivating you, like, you know what's making it,
what makes you want to like get to the next
day or next hour.

Speaker 9 (04:04):
Well, I mean the first thing that comes to mind is,
you know, I'm a I'm a Christian, and so I
feel like, you know, I've really and you know, it's
not been the case as long as to me. I
used to be very depressed and you know borrow line,
like you know, not wanting to live. And just like
I realized that I found joy and you know, following
God and you know, I'm just you know, I'm communing

(04:25):
with people in Christ and just you know, living a
godly life. And I think part of that is that
I genuinely feel like I'm you know, I feel like
I do really well when i'm like you know, outside
more and when again, I have a it's very easy
for me to fall into just staying inside for long

(04:46):
periods of time and just like you know, being lethargic.
But I truly find joy in going out and just
going out into like like the mountains or the wilderness
and just enjoying the beauty of this world because I think,
you know, sometimes you just get so caught up in
the everyday life of things like, oh, you got a class,
you go home and do homework. It's like it's just
like a loop and a loop and a loop, and

(05:07):
it's just it's it's kind of monotonous, and I can
see why people get so upset. But it's like, you know,
sometimes you just got to break for you that that schedule. Obviously,
you have your duties you gotta do, but you know,
sometimes it's good to break for you that schedule. You know,
take a little extra time and you know, go hike
to the top of the mount or just go do
something that interest you, do a hobby, go dancing and
go learner's skill. You know, Like yeah, I know, I

(05:29):
remember I was kind of separated from a lot of
people in PCV last year. But then, you know, I
go hike up to the top of you know, like
Serenity Swings or you know, the Seesaw, and I just
feel like, man, like everyone else is around there just
kind of doing their normal thing, and I, you know,
I'm here up on top of the mountain. It's like
a completely different surreal thing. I think, Yeah, I think

(05:50):
it's very important, you know.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah, absolutely, yeah, it puts things in perspective.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yeah, yeah, you get the chance of, like, do you
try and find people to hike whizzers? It just kind
of like a knee time tip the thing.

Speaker 9 (06:02):
I really do try to find people to hike. You know,
if anyone's seen this and they're interested, you know, you'll
find me somewhere. I do genuinely enjoy I truly feel
more motivated to go do stuff when I have people
that are I'm surrounded with, that want those things as much,
if not more than me.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Because it's really I think this is the case of
a lot of.

Speaker 9 (06:25):
People, but it's really hard to go want to do
things when you're everyone else is.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Like, oh no, that's not good. That's not good.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
I'm just not gonna do that.

Speaker 11 (06:33):
You know.

Speaker 9 (06:33):
It's like, but when you have people that like, yeah, no,
like let's go do this. This is really fun, Like,
it's a lot easier to come out of your shell.
And I mean, I think that's a prevalent thing in
today's culture. Honestly, is I feel like a lot of
people genuinely want to just enjoy life, but you know,
they're afraid about what other people think. And that's why
I think that's why party cultures pick, because people don't
feel like they're responsible for their actions of their drinking

(06:54):
or their drunk, so it's less of the actual alcohol.
But you know, it's more just like you know, people
can actually like be themselves, are let loose a little
because they're so because the societal expectation of like, oh
no I have to be prim and propper like, not
like I can't do anything wrong or they're gonna.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Look down on me.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
So you just kind of do nothing.

Speaker 6 (07:13):
You become nothing.

Speaker 9 (07:13):
But then you know, parties people let loose because then
the societal explanation doesn't count, you know. But yeah, it's
just interesting food for thought.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, absolutely, thank you so much. Yeah, we hope you
don't make you too late to class.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah, and usually I have a biking class right before this,
so it's nice.

Speaker 9 (07:30):
Yeah, you know, usually bike like like you know, somewhere
and slower, like like the longest time I've done is
fourteen miles and then so.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I sometimes get here late, so it's it's chill.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, awesome, We'll thank you, thank you.

Speaker 12 (07:41):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (07:43):
Awesome.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
I hope you find some biking buddies. Thank you me too.
You know, well it sounds like a podcast.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
Well, yes, because it is a podcast. How did you know.
I can't believe it's thought. We hid that really well.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Nice to meet you.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
I'm Sebastian.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Feel free. You're free to pick up the microphone and
pass it amongst each other. Probably don't want to have
the cord like yank the bananas.

Speaker 13 (08:09):
I'm c c C Felt Kayla Shanafal, I'm Ava Doman.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Nice to reach you.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
I'll learn those eventually over the course of us talking.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Oh, so you have your little ebowls. You're walking along
in your cute little summer fall outfits. You all seem
very happy.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Per usual, per usual.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
We're a happy clan.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Have a smile on our face.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Just like a chew.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Yeah, we're happy because we have.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
That's keeping you going right now, Yes, and.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
This beautiful day, it's very nice. Yeah. Do you guys
feel about your heavily depend on the weather.

Speaker 13 (09:05):
Honestly, for me personally, I like love hot weather. But
then also right now I'm like in the season where
I need to be walking on campus with like my
beanie and a big jacket on and like with my
headphones in and listening to music like that. I love
that feeling so.

Speaker 7 (09:23):
And like a big scar and a cold breeze and
some good like Mazzy Star or something like something good.

Speaker 14 (09:31):
Yeah, Fuzzy socks, yes.

Speaker 13 (09:34):
And big thieth are getting me through right now for
real low. Yeah, And I need some like I need
I need like you know, the stretch from like Dexter
or to like up to Baker. Need some like some
eye contact situations like I need to see my eye
contact situationship walking by Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Yeah you can tell.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
Well. Right now we're in the asie like short shirt vibe,
but we're still trying to engage the inner fall in us,
you know, the inner autumn.

Speaker 14 (10:09):
Yeah, I feel like we're not quite there yet. I
definitely am showing some legs, but I need to cover
them up because it's wintertime.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
That's true California wintertime though, so like winter, you know,
winter is winter.

Speaker 14 (10:24):
In my mind?

Speaker 3 (10:31):
What's keeping what's keeping you guys?

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Going well?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Hasband reversed for you guys?

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Has anyone asked you not?

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Okay? Yeah, people who asked us briefly.

Speaker 8 (10:46):
I was just saying earlier about like in the realm
of like mental health and stuff like knowing what like
the chemistry of your brain and doing things that like,
you know, help it, or avoiding things that you know
don't help it. Like really understanding yourself and like knowing

(11:08):
what's good for you.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
That's that's been getting me through. Yeah, what about you, Sebastian.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
I'm kind of in a weird spot where my social
life is like top tier. It's peaking. I've never been
more social, but also i've because it's a brand new thing.
I am so tired on the weekends because I spent
like most of the day just like you know, chilling
with people. And you know, I'm not super confident in
my academics these days, you know, so I traded that off.

(11:34):
But it'll go somewhere eventually. Yeah, you know, but you know,
I've just done.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
All about the balance.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Yeah, I don't know. It's just like, you know, I'm
gonna graduate in like two years, and it's like all
I've done is just schoolwork all my life. So it's like, oh, yeah,
you're gonna get a job, you're gonna get paid for,
You're gonna have to live on your house, Like I
don't fucking know what that looks like man.

Speaker 13 (11:58):
Having fun, so might as well take advantage of it. Now,
my life advice is sees get degrees. That's all I
gotta say. It's true, so might as well have fun
and get a seat exactly.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yes.

Speaker 7 (12:10):
And also the balance of doing school and having that
social life like as like planning it, you know, like
I'm a very extroded human, but I love to study
as well and get my school work done. But I
still have time to get have breaks and get osai
bowls with Kayla and Eva.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
You know, what do you like studying?

Speaker 7 (12:30):
I am a public health major and I am very
stem type based. Yeah in math.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Nice shit.

Speaker 14 (12:37):
What about you, Kayla, I'm at comms. I work on
the farm, just backbreaking.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
You take that tractor driving class they.

Speaker 14 (12:46):
Got unfortunately not yet, but I do know how to
drive a tractor. Oh ok, today I drove it in
the highest gier.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yeah, it's a big deal.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
That sounds like six miles per hour instead of four.

Speaker 14 (13:00):
No, we're talking twenty miles an hour.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
I've never seen how fast a tractor goes, so.

Speaker 14 (13:06):
It kind of jumps because it's like a stick shift.
That's a little different. It's pretty fun.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
I'm a city boy, I don't know.

Speaker 14 (13:13):
Shit, I'm a city girl too, but now I'm not because.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
I work on the farm.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Now tracts a new experience.

Speaker 14 (13:23):
Yeah, lots of broccoli and lettuce and corn fun big
on the corn yum yum Malicious's when I started going
to fly.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
You guys so much. Thank you for telling us what
is motivating you. Thank you, thank you so nice to
meet you guys. Nice to meet you. Enjoy your US.
I e bolls will do.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
That was fun.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Wow, should be there.

Speaker 8 (13:47):
There's like back to back things that we talked with
the man, there's a lot. What are your thoughts on
everything we've heard so far?

Speaker 2 (13:54):
I wasn't expecting back to back like Jesus answers. Yeah,
they were good, Like that first guy was super like deep,
like all all all the answeries I really enjoyed. Yeah,
but like, you know, a lot of unexpected moments so far,
Like how many back to backs was that? Like five?

(14:17):
So like you know that that's that's kind of like
a new record for us, I think, And you know,
all of the answers were pretty good in their own
unique way. You know, the people who just came on
super carefree vibe. I think so far, my favorite has
been Ian and Jack because they didn't know each other
at all and they decided to just sit down and
after they got up, they were still talking with each other,

(14:38):
which is pretty cool. I kind of hope they have
like a future relationship, like you know, not it doesn't
have to be romantic, but like you know, just as friends,
that seems awesome. Ye go, how'd you to me? Like, oh,
so we went on podcasts to get.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Chowterbox making lifelong friendships. Yeah, as we always that's what
we came to do.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Yeah, I hope you know, Jack's club really gets off.
The sounds awesome. Jack, you know, seems really motivated by it.
Ian you know, much simpler, but like you know, he
seems like he's really like kind of got everything tied together,
which yeah, I'm quite jealous of as someone who's super disorganized,

(15:18):
you know, Like yeah, just seeing seeing him like have everything,
like really tired of Like if this happens, I know
that I have to do this, Like I just need
to take my time or like you know, when I
need people, I go to crew hang out with those people.
And actually I have been to like one of their
club meetings once I was invited by a friend who's
in there, and you know, I went to just talk
with them. They're super nice people. I'm not super into

(15:40):
the Christianity thing, but like you know, just talking with
them for a night was awesome, pretty pretty vivy club.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
I would say, yeah, what are you guys names, nice
to meet you guys.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
I'm Grace, I'm Sebastian.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
We or you have something that's keeping you going, that's
motivating you, Yes I do.

Speaker 11 (16:05):
Yeah, I'd probably say just like having like a group
of people that are supporting me, like the new friends
that I've made at college, but then also like my
family at home, Like just being able to call them
and like, let like to hear that they care about
me and to like know that they are rooting for

(16:29):
me is something that really keeps me going because I
think if I didn't have support, and if I didn't.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
Have people rooting for me, I wouldn't be able to
keep going.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
So, yeah, your family live close by, or yeah, I'm
from Santa Maria, so okay, forty five minutes away, but
I've been super busy and i haven't been able to
go home.

Speaker 11 (16:45):
Yea, So they'll come up every now and again and
get lunch with me, and so that like to be
able to get a little bit of.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Home while I'm here and slow.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
It's been really good besides for lunch.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Yeah, yes, yes, I love that couch. Yeah, I'll get
a good luck.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Away from Yes, I'm so sorry you have to still
eat Veg's, especially after they removed quite a few food
options in the last two years. Yeah. So you know,
uh the u U there used to be a pizza
place in there called Mustang Station. It's now a study room.
They would just put a giant white wall over where
the counter used to be. I was like the like

(17:22):
the only place on campus you could get pizza because
you could only like you would just go in and
say like, hey, just give me a slice and they
give it to you. That was super cheap, nice and easy.
And you know the place in Veg's you have to
buy a whole pizza, which is just not the same,
you know pizza. It's really mid pizza. Rusting Station was

(17:43):
pretty good. Seven out of ten, I say, you know,
it was great.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yeah, and the Veg's pizza, it destroyed my insides. I
will say, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Yeah, that reminds me of that when I used to
live in the red bricks. Know, we had a group
me for our floor right to you know, like just
keep up with everything that's going on, and you know,
instead of talking about normal things, most of the time,
it was just pictures of how someone fucked up the
bathroom that week. Like we got some like old chairs

(18:15):
from outside into each of the shower stalls. Someone put
a couch inside the bathtub. Uh, someone puts shaving someone
like just covered a toilet bowl entirely in shaving cream.
Like we don't know how these happened, who does them?
It's just every week new image of the bathroom.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
I actually really kept me going actually.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
And nmember last night about dorm bathrooms.

Speaker 11 (18:37):
Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
And I'm just yeah, I'm just grateful is all I am.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
That I don't all right, what about for what inspires me?
What keeps you motivated?

Speaker 9 (18:48):
You go?

Speaker 15 (18:49):
And I would also say, like my family, like they're
there financially supporting me, and they're there like emotionally, like
my mom calls me once a week, so it's my dad,
and like just knowing that they're like always there for me,
and like no matter what how happens there, like here,
I can still go back to my house and they're
gonna like make me food, and like all places say
is like, oh was nice.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
For sure, you got like a favorite food that they
make you.

Speaker 15 (19:10):
My mom's like really into like a lot of different
types of soup, so I would probably say.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
That, Yeah, any specific super or is it just like
it's super nice? Hell yeah yeah, any type of suit
whatever it.

Speaker 1 (19:20):
Is, Hell yeah, yeah. It's it's like not only the
active supporting that they're doing by like telling you things
and doing things for you, but it's also just knowing
that they're there. It's awesome.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, Like paying for college pretty rough ifive or to
deal around my own, Yeah, yeah, I would be on
that like eight year plan. Yeah yeah, just like my mother.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Yeah. Well, thank you guys so much.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
It was so nice to meet you and aiden. Thank
you so much, and.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Feel free to take a seat when you're ready.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Sit down, put on the headphones if you want to
hear yourself.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
Oh gosh, I don't want to hear myself.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
You don't have to, but I think.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Okay, you can try. If you really don't like it,
you can take.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
The sound of my own voice on videos, but I'll
give it.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
I'm a host of a podcast. How do you think
I feel? I hate him? Feel free to pick up
the microphone if you want a little closer.

Speaker 5 (20:17):
Okay, yeah, do you guys ever do these things?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
She jokes about it all the time.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
I do. I really am tempted. I bet one day
I used to love those videos.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
I mean today alone. She's made five references to doing
a sm R.

Speaker 5 (20:32):
So I think you should bring that to fruition. Seems
it seems like something you want and you need fulfill that.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
It might keep you going, Grace, I think you will.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
I do think it will.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
Speaking of how about you, I didn't get your name.
Actually I'm Ali Ali, I'm Sebastian.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Grace to meet you, Grace, Sea.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Bass or I can. It's an option.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Whatever you go by.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Sebastian will do it. Seb is fine. Sea Bas is like,
I'm not a fish, and that's true.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
So what is keeping you going? What's motivating you at.

Speaker 5 (21:06):
That's a wonderful question. I would say I just moved
into a new house with six other amazing people, and
it's an awesome house and it's even awesomer people, So
I'd say my house is keeping me going. Those are
the loves of my life. And i'd also say my

(21:29):
music right now, oh music maker?

Speaker 2 (21:32):
What kind?

Speaker 5 (21:33):
Not a maker? Just a listener with a singer. Maybe
I like to sing, but.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Kind of like a shower singer, like you know, out
in public.

Speaker 5 (21:40):
Shower sing, sing in front of my friends, out in public.
So little much for me.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Yeah, I believe you'll get there.

Speaker 5 (21:46):
But one day, you know, I do have fantasies of karaoke,
So one day I will do some karaoke.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Yeah, you have to, I will. It's a ride passage definitely.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
What kind of music do you fancy?

Speaker 5 (21:56):
That's really funny. I've recently been discussing this with people
in my life. Most others would say that I have
like a nineties alternative rock music taste. I guess that's true. One,
it's one genre that I like to listen to.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
You're kind of a multi genre.

Speaker 5 (22:15):
Yeah, I'm diverse.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
I totally get it, you know. I every week I
listened to like another song on loop and whatever comes
attached to that, you know.

Speaker 5 (22:24):
Yeah, the little what's it called the smart shuffle on
Spotify that's also keeping me going.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Yeah, I actually use YouTube.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Okay, cool, that's all right? Music I do.

Speaker 8 (22:36):
I do love the daily mixes on Spotify because it's like,
oh my god, you care about me, Spotify, you know me?

Speaker 1 (22:41):
You know me?

Speaker 5 (22:42):
Yeah, yeah, I recently got you know. Spotify's like this
is what you're like. It's like a they give you
a like mood of the day or something like that.
And one of them that I got recently was like,
my life is a movie.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
And I was like, I don't know if that's the truth,
my life movie.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
If I was telling you, I think it's true, maybe
I'll romanticize it that way.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yes, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Do you have like a band or even just a
genre that like you kind of anchor too, Like you
just keep going back to like whenever you kind of
are like I'm not really sure what I'm feeling, and
you just go back to that one. Honestly, No, I
don't have to fall back.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Not a singular anchor, but I'll say that my recents
I will A consistent recent for me is probably the
Fruit Bats. I love them, love them with all my heart.
They're like folky folk rock kind of yeah, and this
is kind of new, but I also like Squeeze. It's
a British rock band that sounds vaguely familiar and we'll

(23:38):
go those are we'll go yeah, love mantal man.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
I remember the first day in tenth grade geometry class
and my teacher was playing Jesus et cetera by will
come who. That is a good one.

Speaker 5 (23:51):
That'll get you going for sure.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Oh yeah, that's a good one. Yeah man o man.
And then what what do you love about your your
housemates that you're living with right now?

Speaker 5 (24:01):
They're just so so awesome. They probably won't hear this
because they all are just doing their own things there.
So I live with there's five girls and two boys.
It's my first year living with boys. The boys make
the house him moies. The boys make the house such
an awesome environment. Everybody's just hanging out all the time.

(24:24):
We're always doing super fun stuff together and it's just lively.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
What kind of fun stuff you can say, Well.

Speaker 5 (24:35):
No, I fuck, but not the F word. We play
a lot of games.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Board games, drinking games, all of the above.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Our recent game has been beer ball, but you know,
like that's a weekend thing. Sure, we we love beer
ball ball. Really that's also keeping me going.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
What else?

Speaker 5 (24:57):
Yeah, we just like to have fun together. It doesn't really
matter what we're doing.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
That's so much, great vibes, great vibe.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
It must be a huge house then if it's seven.

Speaker 5 (25:05):
Yeah, it's like there's two houses on the complex complex.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
It's just the property, I guess.

Speaker 5 (25:11):
But yeah, there's two houses and there's four in the front,
three in the back, in a big backyard in two garages.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Well yeah, house. The rent, the.

Speaker 5 (25:19):
Rent's actually not too bad. We pay seventy eight hundred
divided by seven, which.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
Is that's actually pretty chilly.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Yeah, I think we're probably gonna reap the last of
the cheap rent in this house, and I'm surelyn Lord
will spike it next year.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
So yeah, we feel.

Speaker 2 (25:33):
Good about that. Ye, well at yours, I'm happy about it.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Yeah, magical, wonderful. Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Yeah, Thanksting of course too.

Speaker 5 (25:42):
You toocome.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Hello, Hello Cayden and.

Speaker 8 (25:47):
H Alex, Alex and Alex for our listeners, Cayden spent
the whole episode today going around and fishing for people
getting to be on the podcast, So thank you, Kidden.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
It was really fun. Yeah, and how do you know,
Alex I did her nails.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Okay, last year we.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Met through like one of my.

Speaker 16 (26:10):
Neighbors, Nice in the dorm, which dorm was it you?

Speaker 1 (26:21):
I see she was like it was a commute, it was,
it was it was a track. Yeah, yeah, big time.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Well someone clearly had better accommodations.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
We're looking at Kayden right now.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
Definitely not.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
I don't know you lived in Yak too. You had
someone come and do your nails for you, like I
went to Okay, Okay, Yeah, very much.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
I basically lived there.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
So it's keeping you go and what's motivating.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
You, hallowekend is it's upon us here. The season is
upon us.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Sometimes the surf. I just want to be sure because
I gave you one of mine.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Yeah, it is upon us, seasons upon us.

Speaker 10 (27:20):
Yes, I will be dressing up as the gay little
monk in the Apple Store.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
For the good you just you have to.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
I'll look it up. I'll look it up. Sea.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
It's important that you know this gay and I missed
some kind of like gay some kind of the Apple Store.
I mean, like I could say the same thing about
like certain things I'm well aware about. You know, there
were monumental moments. No one at this table is going
to know what those are.

Speaker 8 (27:51):
This is a good little monk in the Apple store
gay and a monkey out I see it.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
So that will be me.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
This is this upcoming amazing two weekends. Yeah yeah, photo
shoot at the Apple Store. That's what I'm thinking too.
I'm gonna have my friend drive me over there. I'm
gonna like pose outside maybe the Apple Vision. Yes, it's
gonna a whole whole Wow, that is good. Do you

(28:18):
have any week any how weekend plans? Kaden? Honestly? Oh,
I'm gonna go to boiler Bank for CPR. Boiler bang,
I think that's what it's called. That's what the bank
version banks take on a boiler room. That's cool.

Speaker 8 (28:37):
Oh my goodness, I's still going side you.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
We're so sorry about that.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Sorry, that's so funny. Just having a good time.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Is all weekend. What's keeping you going right now? Kaden?

Speaker 10 (28:53):
Well, actually, tomorrow I'm going to be interviewing the owner
of Beads by the Bay Store and then Bay So
I'm really excited for that because I wanted an excuse
to go to the beads store.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Alex actually will be coming with me.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
I will also be there, Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
So hopefully we'll get a necklace out of it.

Speaker 16 (29:11):
We actually both make jewelry, so yes, it'll be a
cute little time at Morrow.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
It's so fun.

Speaker 8 (29:18):
Is that the same store as the It's no, I
think it's different.

Speaker 1 (29:23):
It's like the Shell store and what you're talking about.

Speaker 10 (29:27):
That place is super cute, but it's different. It's different,
and but it's really nearby.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Yeah, honestly we might check out both.

Speaker 11 (29:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (29:34):
Marble Adventure, Yeah, I've never been to, so I'm really
go that's crazy, that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
I just don't have a car. We're not going to
pay parking.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
The otters are there, The sea lions are crazy.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Otters are pretty top to your animals.

Speaker 1 (29:54):
Yeah, yeah, big time. Well fun. Thank you guys so much.

Speaker 8 (29:59):
Thank you so much for having us, of course on
your bes.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Hello Addie, I.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Kind of want to, like, can I chew into my ice?

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (30:13):
Yes, we don't want to hear it.

Speaker 12 (30:19):
Oh new goodness.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
All right, we got them Mary.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
I'll never talk about it again. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
You got someone strong teeth and just crunch that ice.

Speaker 12 (30:36):
I always wonder, like, what like in the future, like
because you know how like teeth can actually be very damaging,
I mean not ice can be very damaging.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Yes, that's kind of why I was surprised. I was like,
isn't ice like bad for you? Ever? Should I be
doing this?

Speaker 8 (30:53):
Ice is pretty good for our listeners.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Addie is the person that's been manning the cameras for
our podcast.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Today, So thank you Addie, you are here on such
short notice.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Was I'd probably.

Speaker 2 (31:11):
Do it again though awesome awesome might need it.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
It's great news for us. Well, what's keeping you going? Annie?

Speaker 3 (31:20):
I don't know. I think it's.

Speaker 12 (31:23):
I think I kind of just forget that I have
things I don't I really don't know what's keeping me going,
but I'm going.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
So true best. Yeah, Yeah, I don't know what's going on,
but I'm doing it.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
Do you find that you thrive with like really busy schedules.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Like yes and no? I don't know.

Speaker 12 (31:45):
Actually that's a good question because I feel like I'm
busy all the time and it definitely can be very
overwhelming and stressful, but I still try to get things
done and I do get things done.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
But do you like being busy all the time.

Speaker 12 (31:59):
Like like like I do? Because then if I'm like
not like so busy, then I get bored.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Especially basically, but like do you find like extracurricular city
or is it more like just work?

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Mainly?

Speaker 12 (32:10):
The reason like I'm busy, just like extracurricular is maybe
just stuff a CASEPR, which I really like it, so
I don't I'm not complaining about anything, but I think
it's just like having a balance, like just like my
classes too, which then those can be like kind of dragging.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
Yeah, yeah, what things on case PR are motivating you
keeping you going.

Speaker 12 (32:30):
Basically everything because I'm part of like so many different teams,
so it's always being able to do like all these
different things because I'm like a DJ also photograph and
then also right also with podcasts.

Speaker 8 (32:40):
So that's a lot, a lot of a lot of
that's fun. Yeah, what's your favorite thing that you photographed
so far?

Speaker 12 (32:50):
I definitely I got to go to Lightning in a
Bottle last year and that was super fun to go
take photos was for Sydney's story that.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
She wrote, and yeah, it was super fun.

Speaker 12 (33:00):
And though I didn't get a photo pit access, I
still like managed to get like the best pictures that
I could by like go like literally just shoving my
way to barricade with my camera. The like biggest like
part that was like kind of like a little scary
was that I was like Scrillick's is closing sound, and
I was like barricade and I was.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
Like, oh my god, you're gonna get crushed.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
But I still got some good photos but you could
barely see him.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
But it was still cool though.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
That's how a scrylics concert works. Yeah, that's cool though,
so motivating. You just kind of like whatever you're working
on next.

Speaker 12 (33:34):
Yeah, basically, yeah, so just getting whatever I have to
do done.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Nice's good answer, Thank you, thank you. That's great, awesome,
thank you reading.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
It's just so I don't know, this is so weird.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yeah, I'm like radio. I tend not to worry.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Okay, all right, awesome, should we do? You close it out? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Okay, what an episode?

Speaker 5 (34:03):
Though?

Speaker 1 (34:04):
What an episode?

Speaker 2 (34:05):
There's like no time to banter, I know.

Speaker 8 (34:07):
But I'm kind of glad because, yeah, that's so many
interesting people with interesting answers, some stuff that I'm probably
gonna try.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
Yeah to such as I mean, it's.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
A stretch to say that I'll try the exercising thing
maybe just like the general like being a nature kind
of thing.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Well, if I may make a suggestion as a chronic walker,
I think you should just try, like you know, from
wherever you are, try walking downtown or like you know,
twenty minutes down the streets, twenty minutes back. You know, yeah,
kind of see it aside of slow, you might not
see you very often. Like you know, the housing row

(34:46):
on near Foothill and Truro, Yeah was it. Forget what
what the street is called. But like you know, you
can just kind of walk, just walk past all those houses.
See a lot of college students, but you know, walking
is great. Cardio, Yeah, your arms, but that's fine.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
What about you? What are your key takeaways from people today?

Speaker 2 (35:06):
People are very important, it seems, you know, a lot
of people came up and said, oh, yeah, my friends
are really keeping me going. We had some people say
family was the main one. We got some other answers
that don't quite fit into that, but a core theme
was having someone who believes in you.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Yeah, yeah, that's pretty awesome. Okay, cool. Well that's been
this episode of Chatterbox.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
I'm Grace, I'm Sebastian.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
And we'll be back in the next couple of weeks.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
See you eventually.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Bye.
