Check on Your Mates

There is another pandemic in our society that is stealing the lives of men of all ages. It’s suicide. Rarely spoken of, the overwhelming percentage – 79% in fact, of self-inflicted deaths are happening to men. Check on Your Mates takes a close look at this issue and how we can help. For Katie McSweeney, this phenomenon hit too close to home when she lost her boyfriend in 2022. She knew she had to do something to help. Check On Your Mates, her limited series podcast features real world conversations with men across society who share inspiration on how they cope and their takeaways for navigating adversity for other men. Insights for women too, will be shared as well on how to best support their struggling partner, brother, or friend.
