Speaker 1 (00:34):
Welcome to the Chromaniacs.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Everybody, your weekly look inside San Diego FC and Major
League Soccer, Episode number eleven of the Chromaniacs powered by
San Diego Punto Football and the Padres Hot Tub Podcast Network.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
My name is Craig Elston.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
It is great to have you along, and I've got
my fellow Cromaniacs alongside, including Tony Sanchez.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
What's up, Tony?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
It's a hot one, uh here in San Diego. Some
of us don't ever know what a air conditioning unit
in a home has felt in San Diego because it's
expensive to pay, let alone run a big appliance.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
But hey, we're here, we're ready to go.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Lea's Cup is over, so there we go.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Now onto MLS alex with us.
Speaker 5 (01:21):
Good good Here we're in August, and that must mean
it's away days August here for cd UFC. The next
three out of four are gonna be away and it's
gonna be a very fun time. And Craig, I actually had,
you know, the pleasure of listening to you on Ben
(01:42):
and Woods and explaining Tam to the masses out there.
Speaker 6 (01:47):
Thought you did a good job. You did a good
job explaining Tam.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Oh my gosh, I was taking a stab.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Like I think it's team allocated money. It could have
been Tammer and Sauce for all I knew, but no,
thank you so much. Well, we're gonna be talking about
tam on this episode of Chromaniacs because here's what's coming up.
We're gonna start on the roster side, we're gonna move
to League's Cup, and we're gonna finish with the return
(02:17):
to MLS Play coming up this weekend at Sporting KC.
That's the that's the layout for Chromaniacs number eleven. First, Ormida.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
There's shorts right.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Below us that you can go click on and go
find what you like. But we're glad for everybody who
is here and who has found their way to the
Chromaniacs episode number or guys. The search for our center
forward continues. And I thought I thought we were done
(03:36):
with the Alasky saga, which started with the debutante debut
and then the comets streaking across the sky, so much joy,
and then.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
The confusion, the absence. Where is he? Why isn't he there?
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Rest day rotation, no end of a loan, end of
a time, You're back out to Europe, pal except wait,
he's in Orange County. Why isn't he in Europe? What's
LAFC gonna poach Milan Alosky? No, they're gonna go spend
twenty six million dollars on sunny Okay? Is Philadelphia gonna
(04:22):
poach Milan Alaski? Yep, Milan Alaski Philadelphia Union signed sealed, delivered, ready,
plug and play to the starting lineup for the Union
this weekend. Gentleman, there he is in the wrong kit.
If you're watching on YouTube, Milan ALASKI your feelings, guys,
(04:44):
starting with you, Alex, because I know when we talked
about him leaving, I think we all thought coming back
to MLS was probably more likely than loking into a
European league.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Yeah, and just keeping track of what he was doing
doing over at norseland he he he didn't get that
many minutes. He didn't go back and just start games
for for norseland so this was this was Yeah, I
think this was probably the plan for him, that he
what he what he really wanted to do was come
(05:19):
and be a full time player and m l S.
Speaker 6 (05:22):
And now he gets to be. Now now he gets
to be. Uh.
Speaker 5 (05:27):
I don't I don't know what what the situation at
Union is, but it kind of seems like they have
a plan for Alasky and the plan might be for
him to be starting. So yeah, it's for me, it's
you know, it's a little disappointing. You know, he could
have we could have hashed out a deal, could have
stayed here and it would have been it would have been great.
(05:49):
But at last he moves on. He is now a
Union player, and I.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
Got to share that news with you guys.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
I think, what when it came down on Friday, Thursday Friday,
to my disappointment, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (06:06):
I mean to a lot of people's disappointment just overall, just.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
In the way that it went down, in the way
that you know, it might have been.
Speaker 7 (06:14):
A rude awakening for a lot of people of this
is how Sandy UGOFC was going to operate. If ever,
there's another opportunity for this to be righted, maybe not
with Milanilowski, but with some of the kids that they're
starting to open their Right to Dream Academy, which, by
the way, that started this week. The first batch of
Right to Dream Academy players have started. The players you'll
(06:37):
see in SANDYGUEFC five years from now. But with Milanailovsky,
you know, we had just kind of hey, you know,
always look on the bright side of life, on the
business side of things. Right Right to Dream the sister
Club of SDF SDFC took one million dollars projected here.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
From a rival. So if if that's the cop that
you want there, it.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Is always look on the bread I mean, oh, you're right,
Holy cow We got him, We got him.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Boys.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Philadelphia spent a million and all they got was are forward.
Speaker 6 (07:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
And in terms of what they're planning on having Milanoski do, well,
guess what.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
They have three strikers ahead of him on the depth chart.
Speaker 7 (07:37):
So they're not signing him to fill a need that
SANDYFC currently needs and has and is just absolutely wide
open out there. But like you said, this is kind
of what it is. At the end of the day,
a local player went and is playing top tier soccer
(07:57):
just elsewhere. Once again, a La Brandon Vass Paul Ariola. Alah,
you know, Joe Bennicrona, just be happy for him, I guess.
But no, that is a rival player at this point
who is going to go head to head in supporter shield, right.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Was okay tam talk? Hey did it's time? Thank you
for coming to my TAM talk. Uh? Did Philadelphia Union
use tam to sign ALASKI? Is this money that we
had allocated to De la Torre and other players, and
(08:36):
because he didn't fit within our standard player budget, they
were able to offer him something that we weren't.
Speaker 5 (08:48):
Yeah, they they have to use him for this type
of acquisition. So so when when TIM is used, it's
it's it's too meet a certain criteria player that is
gonna be charging over the salary their salary cap number,
(09:10):
which what we call is a salary cap number. They
call it like a salary budget charge number, but I
think for other sports they use it, use salary cap number. Right,
But anything over like seven hundred and forty five thousand,
and this is salary plus the fee, the transfer fee
(09:32):
or loan fee that gets calculated into that, that into
that budget charge show. Anything over seven hundred and forty three,
which you're a million dollars is already over that you
have to use the the TAM to pay pay the overage.
(09:54):
So yeah, he he will be considered a TAM player.
And they also have other TAM players on their roster.
Uh Baribo is one of them. And right now the
fear is that Union is gonna have to like sell
one of these guys away, one of their TAM players away,
just so they can bit Elasky into their into their
(10:16):
salary roster construction. So and when it comes to our TAM, yeah,
a lot of it has been used. When it comes
to Luca Delatorre and Marcus and Bartsen and there's some
other players on TAM too, Patty McNair on Andres Reis
(10:36):
on email acari. The the they have been they have
to use TAM because of the acquisition fees for those players,
so they're they're also charting TAM.
Speaker 6 (10:48):
My rough estimate on what we have for TAM is
not a lot. I think it's around too sixty.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
But again, these numbers are never parted. There's no transparency
in MLS, so you just don't know. You have to
do the rough math of it. And I you know,
they already use like over half of their TAM on
Luca and in Barts and like it would a I
don't know what kind of a deal Lasky was looking here.
(11:19):
And then plus you also have to tie in some
sort of transfer fee for with norseland and maybe maybe
maybe it would have been half, maybe it would have
been half for you know, a quarter of that right,
quarter of a million, but you but that fee also
has to be added into the salary that he is demanding.
(11:41):
So if the math isn't mathing, that player isn't going
to you know, fit into you know, uh, Tyler Heaps's
calculations for his roster.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Yeah, well, and that leaves us where we are then, right, Tony,
So I mean, I I think for fans, for the supporters,
for the season ticket members, for the local fans who
were just getting introduced to San Diego FC, it feels
like STFC screwed up here, That's what it feels like.
(12:17):
It feels like there was a loan, there was an
opportunity for a negotiation, the negotiation took place. Did Tyler
Heaps put too low of a figure on MILANALASKI? Did
he because, as he said in his press conference that
we played on a previous episode, he said, we've had
the player for eighteen months, we know the player, and
(12:40):
as such, he had his own price that he had sent.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
But was that price the market price?
Speaker 2 (12:47):
And then the subsequent question is if the market price
could only be paid by tam to make the deal
work under MLS kookie cookie rules were all tammed out.
We just really didn't have the opportunity to sign him.
Where on the spectrum do you lie on that?
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Well, I mean they could have extended the loan.
Speaker 7 (13:11):
That could those could have been terms that could have
been fixed with this, at least for the season. Because
this transfer didn't happen with San Diego FC. It happened
with FC norseland so the money goes to that project
across the ocean, like SANDYFC essentially has nothing to do
with this and other than the missed opportunity of not
(13:32):
keeping him here for the remainder of his loan slash
extended a loan. The implications is is this is an
international transfer and seems like Philadelphia got the hottest striker
on the block that would have worked for every single
box for San Diego FC. Is that the excuse that
negotiations just were not going to happen? Now, okay, could
you have extended a loan and perhaps revisited that table
(13:55):
towards the end of the extended loan spell? Definitely, and
both sides clearly want to do something. It's just unfortunate
for everybody involved, especially just the fan base.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Again, I think of who.
Speaker 7 (14:07):
Got the Milanoski thirty two and thinking this is my
new favorite player, Like, now, yeah, great, you have a
great relic, you have a great Hey remember when Mike
Piazza played for the Padres. Sure what if Mike Piazza
was Mike Gosh darn Piazza with the Padres and played
just like him. Wow, and then they just let him
go or Greg Matt Oh wow. Just incredible players that
(14:28):
you know walked from San Diego. But don't worry, Craig,
san Diego. F c's working, Tyler Heaves is making deals,
he's making use of the TAM and some mostly gam
But you asked for firepower.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
It's on its way, all right, let's talk about it.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Corey Baird, Yeah, former Rookie of the Year MLS currently
playing FC Cincinnati, not adorning himself in flowers necessarily with
his numbers this year. But Escandido's zone Corey Baird is
(15:09):
the eighteenth threat has been restored. Gentlemen, Escondido is back online.
It was seventeen with one abstention for a few weeks.
Now Escondido sound off, You've got one of your own.
Speaker 7 (15:27):
Oh man, alex is this does this suffice? Is this
enough for you?
Speaker 6 (15:34):
Are you?
Speaker 4 (15:35):
Are you satisfied?
Speaker 7 (15:36):
Are you satiated with with the prospect of having somebody
who is being told to everybody online?
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Of huh? Good?
Speaker 7 (15:44):
That's that's that's that's CFC's problem. Now, good riddance. That's
all you're hearing from Cincinnati.
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Yeah, it's not the most positive of reviews that I'm
getting from FC Cincinnati fans. But it it's an interesting
acquisition because if you look at Alosky and if you
look at Baird, they have completely different, uh like skill sets, right,
(16:09):
and Baird is coming from a system that's completely different
from SANDIFC. So it kind of seems like he Baird's
a type of player that's gonna fit more of the
system that Sandy FC is going to be playing than
him becoming you know, Baird becoming the next Alaski.
Speaker 6 (16:30):
Right.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
He's also older, he has veteran minutes here in in MLS,
and it's it just seems like we're getting a role
guy to play a role position and and really fit
the needs of the team then you know what, you
know the team necessarily needs, right. It's just it's an
(16:54):
interesting acquisition, and it kind of it kind of seems
like this this is the type of move that they
want to make in order to in order to succeed
more like long term.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Okay, so what does that? So you mean that he's
a project, he's somebody that they can.
Speaker 6 (17:13):
Improve, not not.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
I would say he would improve maybe in this system,
because like I was looking at like FC Cincinnati, and
you know, they're not more you know, they're not very
much a possession base like we are.
Speaker 6 (17:30):
And when he was more of a.
Speaker 5 (17:34):
Like a successful player with the Houston Dynamo, they were
much more possession based. They focused more on the short passes.
He's a very good passer, by the way. Yeah more Yeah,
they where I think that's kind of the system he needs,
right They he played in a four three three with Houston.
Speaker 6 (17:56):
Cincinnati. Yeah, Cincinnati does.
Speaker 5 (17:57):
A like a three five to yeah, like a yeah,
it's gross. Yeah, it's it's more midfield Yeah, more midfielders
on the on this uh on the pitch and yeah
it just and and there was players ahead of them too.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
There's there's a lot of players ahead of them.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
So maybe this is what he needs to get regular
minutes be a much more productive player here.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Okay, so changeing system, maybe back to a style that
that fits his game a little bit more tony. Does
Baird come in and play the nine or is he
someone who's playing the wing And now we're trying to
put one of our wings up the middle.
Speaker 7 (18:42):
So I think that's gonna be more than likely happening
with Baird, you know, mostly being a winger in that
And we've seen the success of Sandy UFC with Honors
Dryer down down the middle in that ninth slot. In
that ninth position, we've seen you know, just a caval
caved of just revolving door players. You have a Accotti
being up there, but I think Dre is the one
the most consistent outside of Milanilowski for SANDYFC in that role.
(19:06):
So if you have somebody who you can throw out
there and can be safe and retain possession of the ball,
get ball back, get ball possessions back, that's the Emma
Boa tang. A factor that they really like about him
is that, yeah, he'll lose the ball, he won't move
the ball forward, but he does those those fireman actions
to come back and retrieve the ball.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
Right.
Speaker 7 (19:27):
So that's the type of winger that they're getting because
on the stat sheet, like he's not leading in anything
in ninety nine percentile that's outside of yeah, you know
just general you know, tackles, okay, but he's a winger.
So he's leading in tackles for wingers in amongst his peers.
So all this beautiful just kind of data just tells you, like,
(19:49):
this is a player that isn't necessarily on the most
potent side of goal scoring.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
So yes, it's a project.
Speaker 7 (19:56):
But this is where I think this As theF SEE
rehab center comes into place, they rehab a couple of
players into the national team. There's a chance that a
system player like this can bear bones their actions and
really reset the way into the fundamental style and potentially
work and be a cog in the wheel of the
machine for San Diego SI moving forward.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Well, now I'm all fired up, But.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Okay, before I get to what I think is maybe
the real answer, there's still time left, Alex.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
But is there resource left? Is there is there.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
Any reason for me to believe that we're going to
do another show where we're talking about another signing.
Speaker 5 (20:44):
Yeah, there's still plenty of gam left. And there's also
plenty of roster spots left. I mean you even with yeah,
Baird is just basically taking the Alasky role, so he's
taking his spot. But we still need uh someone to
(21:05):
take Jasper Loffelsmin's spot. We still need someone to you
can get another person to get uh the under andres
rayas spot, uh the Bruce At spot too. You have
an you potentially have an international slot that.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
You can use.
Speaker 5 (21:24):
So there's spots to use, there's money to spend. It's
all about how you want to spend it. And the
the interesting thing is, I still don't hear any rumors
or any any positive movement in a and a senior
player coming into uh cendy UFC. You know, we we've
(21:46):
seen Vasquez, we've seen Soma. Those are very young players.
Now we saw now we see Baird. That was a
trade with Cincinnati, a more veteran player. But I think,
you know, you can build you know, two three spots
here and there's plenty of room to do it. So,
(22:07):
you know, Tyler Heaps, get on the phone, get your
you know best aj Preller.
Speaker 6 (22:12):
Impression out there.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
And then I see today an Instagram post from Marcus
Vartsen showing him back out at training.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Uh, kind of like glamour shot the other one of them,
you know, like doing the high steppee type rilly thing.
See there we go, Okay, look he's looking good. There's
the high steppy drilly thing. Uh, very solid, and there's
the glamour shot. Marcus Vartsen. Very handsome, handsome fella, isn't
(22:48):
he the answer? Like if it's not him. There's not
gonna be the next guy walking through the door, so it.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Might as well be him. Am I crazy just to
say that, Tony?
Speaker 7 (23:05):
I mean yeah, on the surface, right, he's the number seven.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
He is actually you know somebody you can throw on
the wing as well.
Speaker 7 (23:13):
If that why, that's why Baird, you know, kind of
doesn't make sense in a way because you have a
center forward that if you don't play a center forward
because you trust in all you can throw him.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
Over on the wing behind Chookey for more depth.
Speaker 7 (23:26):
Because again, Maighten, while he does you know, great plays,
doesn't really produce dangerous actions. He's just you know, he
did a good hustle play. But in this last game
against Masatlan. But Marcus Verstan, yeah that should be the prototypical. Yeah,
that the goals will come once he returns, But I'm
not too sure that he's going to come in and
(23:47):
light a fire under this offense. It took him a
while to just get you know, accustomed to MLS play,
and then he got injured. Like he hasn't played a
lot of minutes this season, so he really hasn't hit
that gear with the squad. As the squad's melded together.
He's just kind of watched this whole time. So hopefully
he's seeing the way that his skill set can be
(24:09):
put best into the right to Dream Slash SDFC style.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Because he knows it better than anybody outside of Yepe.
Speaker 7 (24:16):
He should be able to recognize this is where I'm
needed and make sure that he's filling that void. Whether
that's him scoring goals or not, you know who knows,
but it should be him.
Speaker 4 (24:27):
That is the answer.
Speaker 7 (24:28):
There's a player there that's returning, hopefully to be able
to play a full ninety.
Speaker 5 (24:33):
Yeah, and also the big investment they have on him.
His contract goes through twenty twenty seven with option years
in twenty eight and twenty nine, So that's a big
contract for a templayer. And yeah, you're trying to get
the most out of him. So I'm guessing that that's
(24:54):
also in their thought process. It's like, we already made
a big investment for in varts In. We got to
see what he can bring to the table, and I
think that's how they're.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
Going to go.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
I'm just gonna continue to light a candle from my
man Marcus, like if he's the one to me he's
the only player kind of in the initial SDFC wave
and it's not the only, but the only guy that,
you know when they had their first ever player interviews
was Marcus and YEPPI, Yeah, you know, he was the
(25:29):
first guy they brought out, and you know, of course
Chooky to follow and Drier to follow and everything else,
but supposed to be a key contributing player to this club.
And I feel like he's about the only guy out
of that initial group that really hasn't made a true
contribution to this year's team other than fleeting, fleeting contribution.
(25:53):
So I would just love to see that be a
thing that works out for SDFC because I think it
could be the key to He's their ceiling going forward
here down the stretch really quick.
Speaker 7 (26:05):
I mean, just to you know, we're lighting candles here
for a returning player from injury that we really haven't
seen the potential of. But do either you feel Fomo
from huming Son, Thomas Mueller, like these big names that
are that are being thrown out even in MLS circles.
Mihailovich going from Colorado over to Toronto a big mood
(26:26):
for for him and the team over in Canada, But
is there fomo from from like, where's our big name,
where's our kind of like where do you either of
you stand on that.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
Yeah, that's kind of the reason why it's like, it's
kind of for me, it's it's a little disappointing that
we were not involved in any of these rumors to
bring someone in either here domestically or internationally, and it
does feel like we're kind of missing out on it.
Speaker 6 (26:56):
We don't know what's gonna happen in the future.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
And then, like the reason why I brought up like
that international slot, I think there's a perfect chance for
a loan player just come here for the next you know,
six months or so, let's finish out the season, make
an impact, and then you know, let's you know, pervert
back to the under twenty two system or however you know,
(27:18):
for the future.
Speaker 6 (27:19):
Right, But yeah, this is a big year.
Speaker 5 (27:23):
I think, you know, weeks ago, I said, you know,
use the third the designated player spot.
Speaker 6 (27:30):
I still feel like they should use it just for
this year.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
You know, get get a short term player, get a
player that's gonna be here for a year or two.
I know that's unlikely, that's not really gonna happen, but
at least the lone player, at least someone someone to
come in and you know, finish the season off and
hopefully win a trophy.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
All Right, What I'm gonna say, Mike might on some
level seem unfair to maybe somebody at Singing Hills. So
I just want to say up top that you know,
I've got nothing but respect for mikey Vardes. And obviously
this team has done a great job. They're a winning
team that's first place in the West, and there's nothing
to be ashamed of with everything that SDFC has done.
As I've kind of said on the last couple of shows,
(28:14):
last couple three four shows, I just have had the
feeling as we see a sixteen year old and an
eighteen year old and another eighteen year old, you know,
come rolling into town and now a role player, you know,
in terms of Baird, kind of start to get the
feeling as a fan, nobody telling me this, no inside information.
(28:40):
As an outsider and a fan, I start to get
the feeling that SDFC is pretty happy with their midterm grades,
Like like they're club that feels pretty good about what
they've done, and they should they should feel pretty good
about what they've done, and it makes me feel like
(29:01):
they feel like having a really nice winning record that
winds up top four in the West. Maybe they take
the West, but you know, top four make the playoffs.
Give it a go, see what happens. Hey, try to
win it all. Our goal is to win the MLS Cup. Yeah,
but you know, if we don't, we'll have had a
(29:22):
hell of a first year. We'll have had a hell
of a first year. And we've brought in all these kids,
and you know what, we saved a little money down
the stretch. We could have gone all out and we
could have gone crazy. But do we really need to
do that?
Speaker 6 (29:39):
Year one?
Speaker 2 (29:40):
Are we really gonna win MLS Cup if we go
spend on that DP?
Speaker 1 (29:45):
I mean maybe even maybe not?
Speaker 6 (29:48):
So what if we just.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Kind of chilled and continued down the slow path and.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
You know, we're really over our skis here.
Speaker 8 (29:59):
We didn't think we'd be first. We thought we'd be
like ninth. We thought we'd be like eighth or ninth.
So come on, don't make us act like we're first.
We're like, let us act like we're eighth. It's our
first year, Come on, all right?
Speaker 4 (30:15):
Is that unfair?
Speaker 6 (30:17):
No, it's not.
Speaker 7 (30:18):
And it's also not unfair to point I feel to
the players that are there and give the respect to
Mikey and the team and everybody out there.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Because guess what, it's worked. It's been working.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
You don't have names, nobody knew Honors Dryer, nobody knew.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Anybody outside of Chukuilos. I know who these players were.
Speaker 7 (30:34):
Don't tell like I was there for the expansion draft
and you know what, gosh, God bless from that at
but they cheered for who, like yeah, like they had
no idea who.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
They were cheering for. But it was part of the
building process.
Speaker 7 (30:46):
But it's been working, and I think that's that's where
I see people commenting and the fan base, which I
like that it's getting active and they want names and
they want players. But you're in first place either way.
So we'll see where this was heads. But some of
these new players were you know, had positive performances yesterday
and it was it was nice to see a victory
(31:07):
again at at snap Dragon Stadium. That was that was
like the clean sheet, Uh, just a little little bit
of a ginger palate cleanser for everyone.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Look at you, the master of the segue Alex. This
is you know, Tony proving his worth to our trio
over and over. Let's get to the League's Cup. Let's
get off of roster covetching and back to field results.
So since the last time that we joined you, SDFC
played twice. As we told you if you if you
missed it, as we told you last time, we were
(31:41):
riding on the Tea Grace result in terms of what
the chromaniac output was gonna be, and if they took
down t Grace, we were gonna go ahead and white
knuckle this thing all the way down. We would have
been live after Mazilan, the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
But they didn't.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
They lost in a respectable match, you know, they lost
to one.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
They were then eliminated.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
And then Tuesday in front of the smallest crowd in
STFC history, a match that was not included in season
ticket member ticket strips, which I think explains the attendance.
One to one, a two nothing win over the newest
team kind of the little brother team of League chis right,
(32:31):
mazeit Lan the team that has the least history of
the team that is the newest, and it's scoreless first
half and then goals from Valacari twice in pretty short
order from what sixty six and seventy two to give
SD two nil and a nice send out from League's
(32:53):
Cup and bursting Mazitlan's bubble as well.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
They were set with a win to advance and instead
down they go.
Speaker 7 (33:01):
The like I think, Lord that I'll add for mast
Line is that they're one of those teams that were
transplanted from a historic club of Monatica, Morelia and Michwalkan,
who had titles, who had history, and they were ripped
from there and placed in mast Line in a new market.
So that's why they're the new ones. So it's almost
like a was it a Columbus Crew or just Austin
(33:25):
just ripped from a market and just placed there. So
that's kind of you know whether and they're the laughing
stock of just Lega Meki's in general, so it's good
to have.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
It's good to have a vitory over them. One hundred percent.
Speaker 5 (33:37):
Yeah we we we made Ligas proud and with that one.
Speaker 7 (33:44):
Man.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
But yeah, I like this game. I mean, and look
who started the Santos. He gave us a clean sheet.
I think we're back to our quarterback controversy.
Speaker 6 (33:57):
Goalkeeper controversy here. He looked good. I mean, he looked good.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
He had a few really good stops where yeah, he
had to get off his line and did a good job.
It seemed like the mast and didn't really do much.
I didn't see it interfere with anything. He was just
I think, I think, I think a few times he
was still still touching it, still trying to fill it out.
Speaker 6 (34:19):
But he looked good. I mean, and.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
Man, I did not have a Balakari score in a
brace in my being a card for this year.
Speaker 6 (34:28):
But wow, look that was a very good positive.
Speaker 5 (34:33):
And it might it might have mikey Varas put him
more at the nine and work you know, just work
him out, just rotate him like like he usually does,
but at the nine or in the in the midfield.
And yeah, he's really becoming that rotational player that you
kind of need, you know, Swiss Swiss army knife.
Speaker 6 (34:55):
That's really good to have.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
I also so like that the second goal, the entry
pass came from the eighteen year old Vasquez, and that
was a nice run, you know, nice build up, nice
interior pass and it's a sign that some of the
kids and on our YouTube clip there it is. You know,
it's a very simple play, but actually a lot cleaner
(35:21):
one than the first goal.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
The first goal, Mazet.
Speaker 2 (35:23):
Lines running around all over the place like Dryer completely
telegraphs a pass to the middle and then gets it
there and then Valacari settles it and there's still nobody there.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
So that to me was just a defense not being
open enough.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
This is a nice, nice run through, nice look, and
I give Vasquez just as much credit, I think, as
Valacari for the finish.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
And it's a good finish.
Speaker 5 (35:45):
Yeah, So I'm a Basquez Valacari very very well done.
Speaker 7 (35:50):
Yeah yeah, I mean so much, just thrown in there
right with the with the burst of energy that Sandifc
definitely needed through Dryer and Vallaccati.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
There was that gear shift and.
Speaker 7 (36:00):
There was a moment and I don't know if the
cameras caught it on the replay, but I think that
when va Lacati scored, so Matsgan didn't look happy, like
he just didn't look happy because he.
Speaker 4 (36:12):
Was trying that whole game.
Speaker 7 (36:14):
And you know, Vallakotti just comes in and just with
a knees just here you go, he's outside outside the
box shot.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
It's a goal, Like, that's all you have.
Speaker 7 (36:23):
To do, you know, sometimes you don't need to take
that extra touch and try to work it around the goalkeeper.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
Just take a shot. That'll be enough.
Speaker 9 (36:30):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (36:30):
And then he scores too, and it's like, well, is
Vallacatti back back up top?
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Now?
Speaker 7 (36:34):
Is he back on the menu for that? Also watching
the Spanish version of this, did you guys know.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Anybody has a nickname?
Speaker 6 (36:43):
No?
Speaker 1 (36:43):
What is it?
Speaker 7 (36:44):
It's so dope in Samurai Samurai dude, it's so awesome.
Speaker 6 (36:52):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (36:54):
So uh, go go I don't watch League Cup. I
You're gonna watch Leeds Cup.
Speaker 9 (37:00):
You know.
Speaker 7 (37:00):
If you're not listening to the local broadcast, go listen
to the Spanish version. It's exciting, it's it's good and
your little insights like that.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
I was like, oh, like, I was like, is it really?
Is that just a you know, commentator just done it?
Speaker 7 (37:11):
And it's like no, no, like they double tripled like every
time he got the ball. And here's in some would
I you know, talking with the young Voscars, no, letting
him know.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Oh okay, like got it, excellent, good job and Oscars.
Speaker 7 (37:25):
Because this whole tournament has two appearances he was given
a welcome to San Diego by every single league I
met his team because he was getting ragdalled and just
fouled left and right, and you know, he held up,
he held his own, like I keep citing, even even
not necessarily bullied. But you know, there was a moment
where in that red card situation in masatline where Benedetto
(37:48):
just turns over this dude, this man, and then you know,
another thirty year old dude comes up and Oscars stood
his own like it was a good moment for the kid,
and you know, red card for Maslan losing their heads.
But yeah, little cool little insights there.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Well, you know you brought up on hell and that
just reminds me that the T Grace game probably provided
two interesting pieces of news. One was a misplay by
my goalkeeper Sisniega, which if you do remember on the
last show I said there was a decent chance. I
(38:27):
thought he could be replaced on the next match, on
the T Grace match, because it's just the way artist
does business. But then when he when he made an
error against T Grace, I'm like, okay, obviously do Santos
will start the next match. But also the one goal
for SDFC was a Tomas on Hell goal and boy,
his celebration it looked like he wiped the ghosts of
(38:51):
a thousand demons off of him all at once.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
He was like, why I'm not done. I'm not done.
There's still more. There's still more.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
That guy will he obviously his frustration has grown that
he has not been the number nine that this team needs.
Speaker 6 (39:10):
He's missed them.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
Yeah, he's missed some like opportunities in that game and
then the last one, and.
Speaker 6 (39:18):
Yeah, like does does he know something? Does he know?
Like is this going to be it for him? Like?
Speaker 5 (39:23):
Is he just going to go back to the bench
if he doesn't start scoring these goals?
Speaker 4 (39:29):
He has to like the like TikTok, Like how much
how many.
Speaker 7 (39:32):
Compliment defensive compliments is going to take for him to
wake up on offense? Right, If you're an attacker and
you take pride and enjoying your work and what you do,
that's great that I'm good at everything else, But the
thing that you're paid to do, the thing that you
you know your father is historically known for. Again, watching
the Spanish language commentary of this, the reverence.
Speaker 4 (39:52):
Of oh baw me, oh It's stole me equal to
get on.
Speaker 7 (39:58):
Just such a great technician and Russel Railowski just known
in Alameki circles. It's just this this, this uh very
studious gentleman of the game, just giving recognition and just
seeing the frustration of the mass Aankele and they were
cheering for him almost like man, he's got to do
better in those in those situations, he's got to let
the ball go, like coaching the kid in that way.
(40:21):
But uh, he knows domss Aankele knows that he needs
to produce a little bit more and that moment I
think it could be a catalyst for that.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
But was the Mastline game after the right way to
do that. I'm not sure.
Speaker 7 (40:34):
I think he needs to start performing in MLS where
Sandy WEFC has been doing very well.
Speaker 2 (40:43):
Let's let's hear from Mikey Varnes and what he had
to say after that win over Mazidlana and kind of
putting a rap on League's Cup because that's a rap
for Leak's Cup as DFC is bowed out and will
not be advancing to knockouts. It just starts off with
your overall thoughts on the match and what do you
(41:04):
feel you you learned the most about your team throughout
this league Cup.
Speaker 9 (41:08):
Yeah, we asked the guys that we finished strong. It
was also an opportunity to make the squad bigger guys,
get some guys some playing time, try some things like
playing Manu on the left center back position, and and
then we asked for them to improve in some concepts
that we feel like maybe we weren't up to the
standard in the first couple of games in terms of
(41:30):
just finishing actions against a low block better and then
managing the transitions. And I think the boys stepped up
today and they did exactly what we asked and they
really hit the mark on it. You know, we have
more debuts now. W Vasquez shows that he's got quality
as a young player. I mean he just arrived a
week ago, right, and he hasn't really even trained with
(41:53):
the team in terms of concepts. And then I think
we completely dominated the game and the goals were coming
some point.
Speaker 10 (42:01):
And if you could talk a little bit more about
not being investcad, you know, he seemed to be really
comfortable out there despite not having many minutes with the team.
Speaker 9 (42:09):
Yeah, I think it's a credit to the staff in
terms of just onboarding him with kind of like best
practice videos, using the little training time we had to
give him some just high level tips, you know, some
real big basic tips. And then it's a huge credit
to the players on the field, the leadership that we
(42:30):
have on the field in terms of coaching him and
helping him and setting him up for success. And it's
something we strive for here to have great teammates, have
that kind of culture, have each other's back. And one
thing we challenge the group on is can you make
the players around you better? And I think a lot
of guys helped in that. And he was good.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
As always, great commentary from the man who's got definitely
the best fits of SDFC stuff, T shirts, best hoodies.
I love Mikey's SDFC fashion sense. Like literally, when I
went to the team store, I'm like, let me get
some of the cool stuff that I've seen, Mike.
Speaker 1 (43:14):
No, not there.
Speaker 7 (43:15):
Oh I I do, I do, I do too, But
not my my manager's not my manager's manager.
Speaker 4 (43:23):
I think you'd be wearing you know, manager wear, I
don't know, like.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
A suit or something, even a track suit.
Speaker 4 (43:30):
Why not that'd be that'd be that'd be cool.
Speaker 7 (43:32):
Uh No, I mean, that's just the fust in me.
No hate on his fashion sense, because again, who am I?
I wore Hawaiian shirts to all these press for the
past four or five years.
Speaker 4 (43:43):
Okay, all good.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Mister Sanchez.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
Yeah exactly throwing throwing brick, throwing bricks through his clone
glasshouse right here.
Speaker 7 (43:56):
But it's good that again he's recognizing there and uh
Fred was frantically raising my hand in the zoom for this,
but unfortunately wasn't called thank you Abe Sepeta for taking
care of those questions in English. But David Basquez earlier
also came on just really commended the team and the
preparation around, not just the head coach, but just the
(44:18):
individuals that welcome him in and have that transition process
into a new squad. That made him feel prepared, like
he was able to really execute well in this system
and not a lot of players can be able to
do that, and he was very thankful for the opportunity.
Speaker 4 (44:33):
And I think that's what SANDYGUFC is gonna get a.
Speaker 7 (44:36):
Lot of hungry players who wants to take the most
of their minutes and want to be the best version
of themselves.
Speaker 4 (44:43):
And that's what we saw from David.
Speaker 7 (44:44):
Bascue and hopefully that's what all these players were incoming,
get a chance to showcase that they do have the
quality to be on a starting eleven at least somewhere,
at least here in San Diego FC and MLS.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Question, Alex, we kind of alluded to it earlier, but
we just straight expect to see Dose Santos Saturday in
Kansas City.
Speaker 6 (45:05):
Right, Yeah, it's gonna be.
Speaker 5 (45:11):
I feel like it might be a game time decision
for Mikey Varas because.
Speaker 6 (45:17):
You could you could take a look at Okay.
Speaker 5 (45:19):
This was just one match. He wore the mask, he
was very comfortable. If Varas feels like, okay, he's my
number one, he's been my number one throughout the season,
then I'm going with the Santos or you're looking at
the flip side of Sea and saying like, okay, he's
(45:39):
been my guy the last few matches and leaks in
the league play. It's the hotter hand right now. He's
done a pretty good job. He's done really well with
this back line too, a very young back line. I'm
gonna go with him, so you could pretty much, you know,
flip a coin. Uh, I don't think there's any bad decision.
Speaker 6 (46:04):
But I think.
Speaker 5 (46:07):
Those Santo's what what what he was doing and you know,
got the clean sheet, you know, look look pretty good.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
Yeah, I think the big I think the bad decision
would be to go away from.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
Your process because the process has.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
Been the flow and within the flow, those Santos should
start because he just came off of a good outing,
so he should continue doing something that's counterflow.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
I think that's where you get in trouble.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
Yeah, that's where you need to have a good, solid
reason and and like a matchup based reason or something
like that. And I don't see it. So I think
we'll see Dos Santos.
Speaker 1 (46:47):
Back as we move forward here.
Speaker 2 (46:50):
In kind of transition to Sporting Case and Saturday, uh,
I will preview for next week's show that we are
excited to bring back Voices the Supporters. Vanessa has agreed
to come on the show. It's just busy Disneyland trip
this week, so it couldn't come on this week, but
(47:11):
excited to come on next week and we're.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
Looking forward to that. So Voice of the Supporters will
be returning next week.
Speaker 7 (47:15):
If I may throw something on just your Voice of
the I'm so sorry, just but I about this tailgate
situation an orange lot?
Speaker 4 (47:23):
Do you do you know about this?
Speaker 2 (47:24):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (47:25):
Yeah, that's right, can you can you?
Speaker 9 (47:29):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (47:30):
I remember that snap Dragon is still under construction, so
the Orange lot will now be under construction due to
the renovation of the area.
Speaker 1 (47:42):
So ah yeah, so that's all out.
Speaker 5 (47:46):
Uh it seems like a part of it will be
out from what I what I saw and heard.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
Okay, oh, the white the white square that was the
eliminated square will now be under construction.
Speaker 4 (48:00):
Well you know, or now.
Speaker 7 (48:02):
But this is the first signal of like, hey, this
is the reality, right, Like where are those fans going
to go? Are they going to get pushed over now
to the more premium side of things? And or maybe
they go join the supporter section and a kayak and
have a good time.
Speaker 4 (48:19):
So hey, I'm just.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
Going to say, outside of a couple of matches this year,
I don't think eliminating that square is going to cause
anybody any problem. I think that, you know, the first
match and maybe Galaxy or LAFC where it was quite crowded,
you might have needed that space for tailgaters. But most
(48:43):
of the tailgates I've seen have been further south in
that orange lot and I walk by it every match
going to the purple lot up there in the northern
corner of the gravel out there, So.
Speaker 1 (48:59):
I think, I think that's a fine mid season.
Speaker 2 (49:02):
Move for SDFC beginning of the year would have been
a pain in the butt middle of the year. You know,
crowds aren't not that the crowds have been bad, but
they're not exactly where they were before. So I think
it's they've probably got that much space that they can
afford to play with. But yeah, you know, it's going
to be a constantly evolving landscape, Tony. That's the point
(49:24):
I think you're making is that things are continuously going
to change.
Speaker 6 (49:29):
You know.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
One of the biggest things that a professional team can
do to lower their their burden, especially their tax burden,
is to renovate, renovate and improve. Just ask the San
Diego Padres, who then like to pass that on to
the fans too and say, hey, with our renovation and improvement,
(49:50):
please enjoy this ticket increase.
Speaker 1 (49:53):
But it's a real thing they do.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
So, hey, who knows what the snap site will look
like fifteen years from now?
Speaker 1 (50:01):
Where's the water or the big park going.
Speaker 6 (50:05):
On the south side?
Speaker 2 (50:07):
Is it.
Speaker 4 (50:08):
I believe so.
Speaker 6 (50:09):
By the yeah, by the trolley station and all that.
Speaker 1 (50:13):
Yeah, nothing says nature to me like the trolley going
by every the.
Speaker 10 (50:21):
What happened to all those E E P A reports
that you know or whatever stadium stadium talking, let's get
out of it.
Speaker 1 (50:31):
Okay, we've seen sporting case. I've been at this match.
It was.
Speaker 2 (50:38):
It was the zero zero draw, a very frustrating match
where they just kind of played back and as DFC
could not penetrate and it wound up being being nothing's uh,
but Kansas City at home. Weather sure to be a factor, guys.
I haven't looked it up, but I mean, if you
(51:00):
told me I was going the second weekend in August
to Kansas City, Missouri, I'd say, Okay, I'm going to
be six pounds lader when I get back, and I'm
gonna have eaten barbecue the whole time and still lost
that much in pure water weight from sweating to my
core from the humidity that socks in. I've been to
(51:21):
Kansas City future. It's not just the heat. It's a
it's a sticky no wind like just like oh okay
ninety two with fifty five percent humidity, kill me now.
Oh my god, Like this is going to be an
absolute slog boys.
Speaker 5 (51:44):
Oh yeah, I've been in that type of community. Like
you said, it is gonna be unbearable for the players.
They're gonna need they're probably gonna need some new shirts,
new kits, just change it all out at half time
because yeah, it's gonna be all wet. Yeah, it's not
not a fun place to be in at this time,
(52:07):
you know, right in the middle of the summer. So
but yeah, and we yeah, we, like you said, we've
seen this Kansas City team before Neil Neil draw and
we could not do anything in that last match.
Speaker 6 (52:22):
Only ten shots, three were on target.
Speaker 5 (52:26):
They they like playing back there at the very towards
the bottom of the table in the Western Conference. So
that's basically all they're going to try to do, and
if anything, they'll try to counter and try.
Speaker 6 (52:40):
To score that way.
Speaker 5 (52:41):
But they're they're going to be playing back in this match,
and it will be interesting to see if last time
we did see Understryer at the nine, and I'm wondering
if that that's kind of what we're going to be
seen in this match. Might laid the right winger role
(53:02):
Chook he was in there and pretty much all your
standard starters Goodoy taver scoff Delatore back line.
Speaker 6 (53:12):
Right.
Speaker 5 (53:13):
Yeah, it's I kind of wonder what changes are going
to be made in this match and what they're going
to do differently to you know, you know, get three
points on the road with you know, only nine matches remaining.
Speaker 7 (53:28):
I think this is where the youth of the San
Diego SE is really going to kind of come through,
where you know, I if you're a twenty seven year
old player, it's going to hit you different than a
nineteen year old Just spring chicken, right, Luca Bombino got
some rest. There's players who have been getting some rest
under them who are very vital for San Diego Se NMLS,
(53:49):
And I think you're seeing that gear change now where
San Diegos is going to lock in for the tournament.
They had this kind of chance to get chemistry and
and and minutes for some new players, had Agi coming in,
get acclimated.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
Let's see what Sama has in some real time games.
Speaker 7 (54:05):
But I think that's gonna be the key for San
Diego see moving forward is the timing of those substitutions.
Speaker 4 (54:10):
More than ever.
Speaker 7 (54:11):
You can have your your you're starting eleven. But in
these matches where you've seen if you were paying attention
to Club World Cup, these European players just it's very
foreign to them to be in a hostile weather situation
like ninety two plus humidity.
Speaker 4 (54:27):
It's they don't they what was it?
Speaker 7 (54:29):
Borisha Dortmann was watching the players who were substituted out
or watching from the locker room because it was extremely
hot at eighty six degrees eighty degrees like they pretty
much eighty it's too much.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (54:44):
So again we've seen Anna Dryer.
Speaker 7 (54:47):
Especially, you know, the the weight that he loses whenever
he plays any regular match here in San Diego is
incredible because of his work rate. So San Diego is
gonna have to battle hard and really break down at
the team that's going to be just waiting, just waiting
for an opportunity for San Diego c to mess up,
for this system to have an aired pass to put
(55:08):
the pressure in the right moment Onos Santos or Sisoniega
coming out the back and hopefully that can give you
a goal and then you can park the bus. That's
the type of game that's going to happen in Kansas City,
but it's San Diego needs to be able to move
past this sort of team because you might face this
sort of defending later on in playoffs, later on down
(55:31):
the stretch where teams are going to be holding on
to those leads and holding on to those points for
dear life.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
I really think the key on this one is the
zero side for SDFC. If you can make sure that
you're shutting down a sporting case attack, that isn't that
exciting to begin with. And really, what I'm saying when
I say that Alex is no mistakes. We've seen and
(56:00):
most of the concessions from SDFC come in the way
that you would expect with an all baby back line.
You know, a mistake, a giveaway, a counter, a counter
that's in the final third. You know, so in other words,
a sudden change, counter, a shot, a spillage, a rebound.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
You know, these have been the concessions for SDFC.
Speaker 2 (56:25):
So as long as you don't make that mistake, I
feel like the goal will come, whether it's like this
last match we saw Tuesday, where it comes in the
second half, or whether it comes early.
Speaker 4 (56:40):
I think the.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
Goal comes as long as you don't give them the
chance at one nothing to just shut everything down.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 5 (56:52):
And it just makes me wonder too, like, who are
you going to start in that back line if mcbay's healthy,
you know, are you going to give McVeigh the start
and have do a sit And because we've seen do it,
we've seen him and how he plays, and he's played
pretty well covering for McVeigh, and but he also has
(57:15):
made some mistakes and they've been costly to the team.
And yeah, I kind of wonder if McVeigh McNair are
ready to go for this match, and it'd be great
to have them, you know, out there providing more of
a veteran presence than what they currently have.
Speaker 2 (57:38):
I mean, we're playing these highlights back right now on
the YouTube version, and honestly, even the first fifteen minutes
San Diego had two chances that they could have converted. Yeah,
they were right there, right there for the taking, including
a ball that misses by you know, less than a foot. Uh,
(57:59):
And that is what I'm talking about. You get one
of those, you get one of those early, You've got
this match. Just no dumb mistakes, you know, no, no
no big errors, and I think you take care of
business here.
Speaker 7 (58:16):
The biggest thing for San Diego FC that has been
lost from the loss of Milaniloski is somebody with the
kahonnis to just take the offense by the horns and
say you're giving me what's there, I'm gonna just take it.
Milski saw what Dryer was doing, saw what Chucky was doing,
(58:37):
Salwi Miton was doing, saw what yep It was doing,
and said, you know what I need to be at
the end of that. A player needs to be able
to do that and not necessarily worry about how are
they going to dribble past? Am I gonna second guess
this style because I know that I could choose, but
I have a chance to go back in a responsibility
to defense like this second guess. He needs to stop
(58:57):
for San Diego FC, and they need to be more
lethal in the final third because the chances are there.
You can have seventy seven percent possession of each match,
but what are you going to do with it? And
I think that's what San DIEGOSI needs to go back
to find whoever that person is.
Speaker 4 (59:13):
It doesn't have to be a striker.
Speaker 7 (59:15):
If it's not, it's not, if it's a midfielder, if
it's somebody in the wing, but find that person that's
gonna help honors Dryer continue this streak of assists.
Speaker 4 (59:25):
It's incredible what he's able to do.
Speaker 7 (59:26):
He's scoring goals, but he's setting so many chances up
that all you need is one person just to be
at the edge and just tap it in.
Speaker 4 (59:35):
Just that's all you need to do. That's all you
need to do.
Speaker 7 (59:37):
And so yeah, defensive wise, just keep it clean and
and don't let yourself be the worst enemy. But on
the offensive side, get it together. Find somebody to be there,
Find find somebody just to be at the end, and
just give that shot.
Speaker 4 (59:50):
Take a shot, take a shot. We need to see
a little bit more Luca once again, Yeah, I.
Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
Agree, because what does he do? I asked myself that question.
You're doing the office space?
Speaker 1 (01:00:11):
Mean, what is it exactly that you do here?
Speaker 5 (01:00:14):
Yeah, And it's you know, I'm not trying to crush
h Luca here. But yeah, sometimes sometimes like I'm watching
this and I'm like, oh, okay, he lost another ball,
and then it's like, oh, he didn't do anything with
that one, you know, and I understand what.
Speaker 6 (01:00:32):
He's trying to do.
Speaker 5 (01:00:33):
Sometimes it's like he's trying to get it to the
final third, and sometimes he just passes it back and
it's like, oh, well, there goes all that momentum that
to get you to the ball, to try to get
it to the final third, and it didn't happen.
Speaker 7 (01:00:46):
So there was a in last last night's game, minute
nine to ten where I saw someone san Diegosi's best,
most silky smooth Passy Negady got involved on the left
hand side, and I was like, wow, look at this
go It made it all the way into the box
and then they passed it back and it somehow ended.
Speaker 6 (01:01:03):
Up the half.
Speaker 7 (01:01:04):
Yeah, like what like, just somebody just stick a shot,
get a corner goal kick, get some offensive production of it,
like take.
Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
A chance, do it? Come on, wasn't in the flow man?
The flow was to pass it back. Yeah, the eighteenth
thread has been restored. Our flow can return now we
had lost it, but now it's back. Corey Baird, come on,
bring us the flow. If nothing else, if not goals
nor assist, bring the flow back. I'm mostly kidding, all right, guys.
(01:01:38):
I think that brings a boat to this episode of
the Kromaniacs, episode number eleven.
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
I'm looking forward to this one and we'll be.

Padres hot Tub with our weekly main feed show last

of nature and the reasons why he has to be
that to keep San Diego relevant in a Dodgers world.

So check that out and if you want to hear
a lot more. If you're a Padres fan, you want
