Como a física quântica inspira a literatura e amplia a imaginação científica

Buscar relações entre física e arte pode parecer improvável, mas ambas partilham o desejo de compreender e expressar o mundo, ainda que por caminhos distintos. A física quântica, com seus paradoxos como o emaranhamento e a incerteza, há tempos inspira escritores a explorar metáforas sobre a subjetividade e a instabilidade do real, enquanto a literatura ajuda a popularizar conceitos complexos, tornando-os parte do imaginário coletivo.
Para Marco Lucchesi, presidente da Biblioteca Nacional e imortal da Academia Brasileira de Letras, a separação radical entre ciência e cultura empobrece o conhecimento: “Senão, vamos departamentalizar de forma radical o conhecimento, burocratizá-lo, e nisso saímos todos perdendo. Na melhor das hipóteses, sairemos todos tristes e melancólicos, porque não teremos mais a aventura do inesperado, que é o que determina a física quântica”, afirma. 
Em 2025, essa conexão ganha ainda mais destaque com o Ano Internacional da Ciência e Tecnologia Quântica, proclamado pela ONU, celebrando um século da mecânica quântica e seu impacto na ciência e na cultura.
