Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, yo yo, What is going on? My fellow wrestling fans.
Welcome to a brand new week and welcome to a
brand new edition of what we like to call the
Clash of Champions, where we dive head first into all
the controversy, storylines, and everything in between that center around
this world we know and love as professional wrestling, for

(00:22):
better or worse. I'm your host, Vegan, you believe in
conscious Kurt aka the professor in the Fleshers always and
my co host. He needs no introduction, but fuck it,
he's going to give y'all one anyway.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
That's right, ladies and gentlemen. This is his tag team partner,
Jonathan Randall, the adventurer himself. Always make your life an adventure.
As it says on my Instagram. Bio and Dann, what
one hell of a week this past weekend that we
had in the world of professional wrestling. Kurt, before we
start off, how was your weekend?

Speaker 1 (00:55):
My weekend was cool. I kind of started a new job,
so I was doing that for the weekend. I actually
we can watch Elimination Chamber live, so I had to
watch the following morning, Sunday morning. But I must say
from watching that, damn show. For all the complaining people
have been doing about the WrestleMania bill this year, there
is no reason to complain anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Hey, I said last week, right, you go back to
last year. You know, we were all up in the
uproar about you know, what they were doing, and you know,
and look how it turned out. Pretty much. Trust the
process and stop complaining. And after what we saw this
past Saturday, I don't want to hear anybody complaining right now.

(01:38):
There should be no room for complaints at all.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yes, after what we saw last Saturday at hell, even
when we saw on Raw last night. Yeah, the road
to WrestleMania is white hot right now.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
It is. It's just it's a damn shame, man. It
just it still bothers me that I'm won't be able
to go. And so yeah, because it looks you know,
just throughout the whole week, you got the you know,
you got the fan access going on, you got smacked down,
you got n XT including the Hall of Fame ceremony, howl,

(02:10):
you forget about that, and plus you got Raw the
following night. It's most it's maybe I've been thinking about it,
maybe going to Raw after wrestle Mania with my brother
maybe so it's still up in the air right now though,
But I'm still a little bit, you know, tad bit
hurt that I'm not going to wrestle Mania this year.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Yeah, I'm pretty hurt too. I'm not gonna lie. Hopefully
I can go to SummerSlam insteads that'll definitely at least
make up for it. And I kind of wish I
were going to Rod Money because after the match that
had been announced for Raw this coming one day.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
In the guard ool, oh my god, especially after what
what we saw last night. But before we get into that,
we did have a show this past Saturday in Toronto,
Canada at the Rogers Center or a ka the SkyDome,
and it was Elimination Chamber and what a one what
what a hell of an event that we had.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Yes, one hell of an event. We'll get into the
details in just a few minutes. But the way the
show kind of started was the fans in Toronto booing
the American national anthem, which pissed off Pat McAfee, where
he basically said on commentary that the Canadian fans can
go to hell.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
I mean he shouldn't be I mean, I'm not surprised,
and we saw this before and during the Four Nations
face off between the first matchup between Canada and USA,
the Canadians booed the national anthem in that game, so
it's not a surprise to me, honestly.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
I'm just and before people like jump over Canadians thing,
all Canadians suck, all Canadians are disrespectful. Hey, we are
not any better. I was personally at SummerSlam ninety seven
when Bret Hart had the Canadian national anthem played and
the crowd booed the hell out of it, myself included,
I was guilty of it too, but yes, the crowd

(03:57):
boothed the hell out of it, So yes, we are
no better than Cans.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah, I mean, I'm quite sure Pat Pat was aware
about that same situation during that hockey game over a
couple of weeks ago, so it.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Seemed like it.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I mean, the whole world was talking about it, so
I don't know why he shouldn't be surprised. If I'm
being quite honest, I'm not surprised, but anyway that it happened,
it's whatever.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Yeah, at the end of the day, you don't have
to agree with it, you don't have to like it.
But people who pay their money to go to these shows,
they have the right to express themselves. True, and also,
considering some of the things going on in America in
recent years, I can't really blame certain people for buoying it.
That's another story. Yeah, But the way this show started off,

(04:49):
which started out with the Women's Elimination Chamber to decide
who would get a shot at the Women's World Heavyweight
Championship as it consisted of Live Morgan, Bianca bel Air,
Naomi Roxan, Perez Bailey, and Alexa Bliss.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yes, overall, what do you thought about the match?

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Well, before we get into the match. As the match
was about to start, it was gonna be Naomi and
Live Morgan starting it off. But as the match was starting,
Jade Cargile's music hit and Jade Cargill came out looking incredible,
looking super pissed off, ready to rip some heads off.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
And look happy. Naomi look happy to see her.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Live Morgan did not look happy. Live Morgan looked shook
as fuck. They made that song shook ones about the
way Live Morgan's reaction was when Jade Cargill came out.
But yes, Jade Cargill came out and it looked as
if she was gonna go after Live Morgan, but she
went after Naomi and Son. She beat the shit out

(05:57):
of Naomi. She like started throwing hands that are banging
her into the pods. She hit her with a scissors,
cake and even went as far as the slammed the
chamber door onto her. Damn son, This is a beatdown
if I've ever seen one.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Yeah, and with this whole situation about who attacked Jay
Cargio over a few months ago, several months ago, this
is really showing us. Okay, hmmm, is it possibly? Is
it possible that Naomi did it?

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Well, the fans in Toronto seem to believe that she
did it because they were channing you deserve it, and
they were channing Nana, Nana, Hey, Hey, hey, goodbye when
Laomi was being put on a stretcher. But Yo, one
person I felt bad for throughout this whole thing, at
least for now, was BEYONC. Bellair because she was freaking
out the whole time. Yep, she was screaming, she was yelling,

(06:54):
but she was locked in the pods so she couldn't
do anything about it. But yeah, this is a beatdown, son.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Woof, woof, that'd be down. Yes.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
So since Naomi got her rasp beat so badly, she
was unable to compete in the match, so she was
automatically eliminated. And then Beyonca's pod then opened right after
this too little, too late, and then she tried to
check on Naomi, but then Live Morgan attacked her, and
then the match was on, so we have the match.
All the other girls end up coming into it. The
first person who ended up being eliminated actually was Bailey

(07:28):
after she was hit with the oblivion from Live Morgan.
So Bailey's night was done pretty much we all knew
she wasn't gonna win deep down is what it is, yep.
And then the next person who go was Roxanne Perez
as she was hit with a twisted Bliss from Alexa Bliss,
so her night was done. And then it came down
to Bianca, Alexa Bliss, and Live Morgan. And there was

(07:49):
one point where even Bianca and Live Morgan like on
top of the pod. They were climbing like on the
top of it, and Beyonca hit the shit out of
Live Morgan with her braid and yo, that sound that
I made.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Oh, Oh my god, I forgot about you can hear
it throughout Skydom. Yeah, I saw it. Oh my god,
I saw that. You can hear it throughout Skydom loud.
This is not the first time we heard something like
this before though, but whenever you hear those sound effects,
you can feel it, feel it, and can hear it.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Piece of advice to people out there, do not get
on Bianca Bellair's bad side.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Don't. Not only that, but don't grab her hair.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Too unless your montas for it.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Yeah, don't do that.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Yeah. So yeah, liv Morgan really took a beating in
this match, but she still fought on. She was honestly
the MVP of this match, you know, honestly with the
performance she put on. And there was one point where
Alexa Blist did hit Bianca Bellair with the sister Abigail,
but as she did that, Live Morgan took advantage and
hid her with a roll up to eliminate Alexa Bliss

(08:59):
or Alexa Blisters and then it ultimately came down to
Bianca Belair and Lived Morgan. The two of them went
out it for a few minutes. They had a great
exchange and as Live Morgan attempted the Oblivion onto Bianca.
Bianca reburst it into the kod to get the one,
the two, the three, and Bianca bell Air became the

(09:19):
first woman to win two elimination chambers and punch your
ticket to wrestle Mania forty one to Vegas.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
And as she was leaving the chamber, she was celebrating
amongst the crowd at the entrance and outcomes Rear Ripley
to pretty much have a face off. But as they're
doing this face off, not only was it Real Ripley there,
but Yale Sky shows up because again Real Ripley and
EO Sky will be going for the title the following

(09:50):
Monday on Raw, which we'll get into later. But yeah,
the three of them had to stare down because at
this moment we didn't even know who a Bianca Bellair
will be facing. Who've been near either Ria Ripley or
Eel Sky at russell Mania.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yes, but we all predicted that Beyonca would win and
we got it right. It was a great chamber match,
arguably one of the best chamber matches involving the women,
and I was happy with the outcome. Bionca bell Air
got the win, but shout out to Live Morgan for
the performing she put on especially if you saw the
pictures of her online the following day with all the bruises.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Yes, she got banged up. Yeah, she got banged up
in that match. Yup, hm, But you.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Got to give a credit, man, And she's like a
fourth really good match he's had in the last month.
She had that match with EO on Raw month ago,
that tag match with her and Raquel against EO and
Dakota Kai, the tag match for the titles on Raw
last week for her and Raquel beat Bianca Naomi and
this match Yo. Morgan's putting in that work.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
She is, and not only that, she's also the tacting
Women's Tag Team Champions along with Raquel Rodriguez. So yeah,
she's done. She's starting off twenty twenty five in a
good way.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yes she is. But Bianca Belair is is well. Despite
all the drama involving Naomi and Jade Cargill, she still
won the match and she's going to WrestleMania. It's so
funny that her and Naomi were both wearing white also
lived too, and Jade was wearing all black.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Hey, she wasn't fooling around, man, in that whole situation.
We're gonna see what's gonna happen, How that's gonna unfold
during the next you know, a couple of weeks or so, man,
because that was a crazy way to pretty much just
start off that match. You know, she appears and she
attacks Naomi and just again, we don't know what's gonna happen,
but hey, we're gonna see what's gonna happen in front

(11:38):
of us.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
But I think that's definitely a match we're getting at
WrestleMania from what we saw there. Yeah, definitely. But let's
move on to our next match. We had the hometown,
She wrote, trist Stratus teaming up with the women's champion
Tiffany Stratton as they took on Naya Jacks and Candice Lay.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Yeah. I like both of their My like Trish and
Tiffany Stratton's of outfits. They're blue and white, representing the
Toronto maple Leafs, and I thought that was dope. Good
home coming for the both of them.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Pretty good match, Well, good homecoming for Trish. I don't
think Tiffany Stratton's from Toronto.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
As far as I know. I mean, well, no, no,
I mean talking about for Trish though, But I'm just saying,
like they were both represented to.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
It was so funny back down the night before where
trist stratas like pointing to this little kid in the
front row, and she was like telling the kid, I
just hope you know that your father back in this
day probably used to have a poster of me in
his room.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Probably there ain't no told there.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Not going to be ashamed of it all.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
No, I hope the wife for mom wasn't there though.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Most kids back then probably had posters of Trish Stratus
and Beyonce right Ashanti too. But anyway, this match was fine.
It was cool for what it was, but predictively so
Trish Stratus and Tiffany Stratton picked up the win after
Trish hit a bulldog on the Naya jackson the top
rope and Tiffany Stratton hit Naya Jacks with the moon

(13:17):
salt and that was all she wrote. They both got
the win. Although I thought Kennis the Ray was gonna
be the one to get pinned Naya jack surprised me
was the one who got pinned. But is what it is.
Trish and Tiffany Stratton picked up the win, no surprise.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
No surprise, And like I said, this was a like
I said, This is a homecoming for Trish Stratus. She
needed that win, but more importantly, more importantly, Kirk, Tiffany
Stratton needed this win because you remember, you're the women's champion,
you're the freshly new women's champion, and you need some
momentum going to WrestleMania, So she needed this win.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
Yeah, I mean, I figured they were gonna do like
a rematch between Tiffany and Naya on TV in the
next few weeks, so they weren't gonna pin Naya here,
but they did anyway, So we'll see what happens. But
Tiffany Stratton is definitely on the collision course with Charlotte
Flair at WrestleMania, and now we can start both the
build for that. Yes, but always good to see Trish.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Yes, always come on.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
And in our next match. This match was violent. The
non sanctioned match, oh oh my god woo between the
Canadian Boys Sammy's Ain and Kevin Owens.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Was a civil Wars Civil Wars. It was a civil war,
Canadian Civil War even I'm sorry. Prior to the event,
when Kevin Owens was walking up to the building, you
could see him just looking for you know, just for
tools and weapons for the match man, so he was
already preparing for preparing himself for this match. But yeah,
it was Oh my god, there were so many violent

(14:49):
spots in this match. I don't even know where to begin.
The back supplex onto the to the the two folded
tables outside of the ring were van Olds. Flip samusein
out on top of the turn, broke into the into
the tables.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
There was fue spots with that. There was a spot
where he did the sue plex game and then Sammyse
was standing on the top rope and Kevin Owen just
pushed him off the top rope and he fell through
both of the tables.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
That was nasty, Yeah, nasty. But what was even nastier?
What was nastier, Kurt? When samuse ain't pulled out the
barbed wires still chair, Oh yeah, and then.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
He hit Kevin Owens with the blue thunderbomb on it woa.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Man still.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
And that still wasn't enough to win the match.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
No, it wasn't. I thought it was it. I could
swear that was it, but it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Yeah, this match was violent and there was even a
one point where like the referee got kicked with the
Hallova kicked by mistake, and then Charles Robertson came in
to like try to officiate the match. But then when
samy'se ain't kicked out, Kevin Owens beat him up. You're like, damn,
what the hell's done. I think that was a throwback
to WrestleMania eighteen after the Undertaker b Ric Flair, he
knocked down Charles Robertson after the match, so I think

(16:06):
I was probably a throwback.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
To that in the same building exactly.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Exactly, yo. But ultimately Kevin Owens took a chair and
placed it around Sammy's Ain's head and threw him into
the post. Got Lee.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Yeah, Like I said, man,
too many stuff happened in this match, man, too much.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
And then he hit him with not one, but two
power bombs onto the apron and that was all she wrote.
That ultimately ended the match and Kevin Owens defeated Sammy's Ain.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
Yeah, and it wasn't the outcome that I thought will happen.
I thought it was been a different outcome because I
thought a certain somebody was going to interfere. But that
certain somebody did appear after the match Kurt Yes.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
After the match was over, Kevin Owens took samy Z
aside the ring and try to do more damage. But
as he was about to fit and shop Sam, he's
ain't for good. I hear voices in my head. They
talk to me. They understand started plazing through the arena,
and that meant it was the return of Randy Orton.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
And every time you hear that song, the crowd goes
wild and he shows up and you just look on
this whole appearance on his face. The pent of frustrations
went out there and just started beating the hell out
of Kevin Owans and then hit an r KO. He
was even about to hit him with a steel chair, but.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
No, he thought, no, no, no, no, oh yeah, yeah,
you're right right, go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
No, but he thought, you know what, Nah, something else
is more lethal than a steel chair. I'm gonna do
something I haven't done in a long time. I'm gonna
punt Kevin Owens in the head. And as he was
about to punt him, the officials came out and stopped
and as Kevin Owans escape, damn it, butt but great
cliffhanger though, great way to great way to do that

(18:02):
because we already know, as I predicted earlier, we we're
gonna get into Russell Mania. It will be Kevin Owens
versus Randy Orton.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Yeah, and yo that spot where the officials stop Radney
Orton from punks and Kevin Owen should win the award.
That should win the award for Party foul of the Year.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
I know, I know, but hey, it was great. Cliff
hanging heat though. It was a great way to like, oh, like,
you almost had him, but he's gonna get his chance
later on. So yeah, we already know what's gonna happen.
Leading up, I kind of knew this was gonna happen.
We're gonna get Randy Orton versus Kevin Owens at Mania,
so I can't wait for that. But a great, great
match though, great just great match, great ending, great way

(18:43):
for Wharton to show up. Great way for where you
ended one storyline and you lead into another storyline moving forward.
So good job.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yeah, it was really dope. This match was definitely more
than you could have ever asked for. I'm not gonna
say it's my favorite match between Sammy's in and Kevin Owens.
I think that title still goes to Battleground twenty sixteen.
But this match was great. This match was violent. They
didn't call it non sanctioned for no reason, Son, but yeah,
it definitely delivered no in every way possible. And Randy
Ordin at least got back at those damn officials and

(19:13):
way they rashes out with r Ko's good.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Oh yeah, I forgot about that too. You forget about that.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Bunch of jumps. It's funny. There was a certain celebrity
that was that elimination chamber that they did not mention
on TV, and that certain celebrity is the most hated
man in hip hop. Yeah, the most hated man in
hip hop. Drake.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah, I've found out about it online. I'm surprised. I'm
not surprised that you're gonna show up because they did.
They would have, you know, they would have, you know,
just said so much things, and you know, I could.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
See Pat McAfee would have said. Pat McAfee would have said, Drake,
what are you doing here? There's no fifteen year olds
here anyway. And our next match, it was the men's
elimination Chamber to decide who would get the match for
the championship against Cody Roads at WrestleMania as we had
the douchebag fuck Logan Paul who came out with the

(20:10):
American flag to get heat. Huh bam. He's like the
reverse version of Iron Sheet from nineteen eighty four. Yeah,
his asses out there. Also, we had Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre,
Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and John Cena making only his

(20:34):
third appearance on his retirement tour that started two months ago.
Yeah right, but yes, the match started out with Drew
McIntire and Seth Rollins the rematch from last year's WrestleMania,
and then Logan Paul gets in there, and Damian Priest
gets in there, and then all of them are going
at it. Then eventually the pot opens and John Cena

(20:56):
gets in there and it really starts to heat up.
It's so funny. One thing I did like was that
even when Logan Paul was doing these impressive ass moves,
the crowd stow channet, you still suck.

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Yeah, look good. Look I've been saying this for a while, like, look,
we may not like Logan Paul's character and his behavior,
but you do have to respect his work. Oh yeah, Jepindity,
you can't. There's no denying that.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Yeah, I'll definitely give somebody props where it's due, whether
it's Logan Paul, whether it's Kanye West, whether it's Drake,
whoever it is. Even if I don't like a person,
even if they are a horrible person, I'm not gonna
ever deny their town.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Can't. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
Nah, And you're a punk ass if you do.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Mhm.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
But anyway, there comes a point where Drew mckinsi or
lays out John Cena with a Claymore kick. But right
after he does that, he's on the mat and Damien
Priesch just rolls him up and pins him, and Drew
McIntire's the first dude eliminated.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, shocking, But but but remember Kurt, Remember I said
this last week in our prediction show. I said that
there are certain things in this match that was gonna
happen I was gonna lead into rustle Mania, and this
was one of them. Because you gotta remember, I felt
like I sensed like a Damien priest since and Drew
McIntyre feud going on, especially after what happened the night

(22:23):
before on SmackDown Them Too, getting into it into that segment.
So right after Drew got eliminated. He literally took his
frustrations out on Damian Priest, which eventually led to his
elimination by Logan Paul by hitting that frog splash on
top of the pod. But yeah, after seeing this, we're
definitely gonna get a Damien Priest and Drew McIntire match

(22:45):
at Mania.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
Yeah sounds about right. I mean, they did have the
incident at WrestleMania last year. They had the Magic Class
of the Castle, even at Money in the Bank when
Drew tried to cash and he ended up not winning.
So yeah, they do have some history, so in a
way it makes sense. But I have to be honest,
for since Drew came back after that hiatus he took
after the Magic Punk, he's kind of been on somewhat

(23:06):
of a losing streak.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
He is. Maybe that will change that many Maybe maybe
that will change a man. You will see though, but
it you know, like I said, man, in this match
and even moving forwards, as I told you, this is
gonna be purely chaotic, and it was. And there are
certain things in this match that was going to happen
that I said that was going to lead into Russell Mania,

(23:31):
lead into a lot of storylines for each individual.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yes, definitely. And the next person to get eliminated from
the match, which made me very happy, was Logan Paul
as he was laid out with a GTS from CM
Punk and that was the end of his night. Peace out.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Yeah, I was afraid see one of the things. I
was afraid that they were gonna pull some some efforty,
some fuckery, that they were gonna have Logan Paul, you know,
do something CM Punk where that's gonna. I was afraid, man,
I was on the edge of my sea. I was like, look,
I look, I want seeing Punk to win this match.

(24:07):
I want him in the main event. Don't do any
f up jobs. Just don't, please, just don't. And they
at that moment, I was like, Okay, thank god.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
Yeah, definitely, we didn't need to see that fuckerre we
go on. But it came down to seem Punk, John
Cena and Seth Rollins and John Cena and see him
Punk came face to face, but before they could do anything,
Seth Rollins interrupted it and then ultimately see him Punk
and John Cena double teamed them and even they hit
him with a heart attack at one point. A shout

(24:37):
out to the heart Foundation.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Yeah, yeah, and one of the things I love you,
you can't forget about. One of the moments we can't
forget about this match is how when seeing Punk and
seth Ron's, you know, seeing Punk and John Zena finally
went out it they had that face off with each other.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
John Cena put out his hand for a handshake and.

Speaker 3 (24:59):
Punk gave him a I missed you and yeah, and
then they start brawling and then Sina puts him in
the STF and then Pumper verses it into the Anakin
device and then Sina hit him with the FU.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
I still call it the FU. And then Punk kicked out,
but then ultimately Rollins ended up interrupting it again, and
then he power bombed Sena into the chamber chamber chains,
and then he threw him to one of the pods
and even threw him through it. But even though he
did all that and he could have finished off Sena,
he could not help himself. He still had to go

(25:33):
after Punk mm hmm, even at one point hitting Punk
with a curb style, but Punk ended up kicking out
hit him with a pedigree too, but still wasn't enough,
and then ultimately Punk hit Rollins with a GTS followed
by an FU from Sena and Punk pinned Rollins eliminated

(25:54):
his ass, and then it was all down to Punk
and Sina.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
And these two went at it for a few minutes,
and man, it was at the edge of your seat
at one point. Yeah, John Zena hit seeing Punk with
the FU, but he kicked out and just back and
forth with each other, and you just didn't know who
was gonna win, even though my money was on seeing
Punk the whole night. But at one stunning moment where

(26:25):
Zina was about to do to STF to see Hipunk,
seeing Punk was literally out the rope and he kicked
him over, he kicked him off, and as as he
was about to do that, seam Punk was literally like
almost like his head was outside of the ring and
out of nowhere. That I don't want to say it.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
That punk ass Seth Rollins hit him with a curb stop.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Hit him with a cubstomp. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
What a bitch ass move, bro, what a bitch ass move.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
And because of that, as a result of that, Yeah,
and then after that, Xena locks on STF on seeing
Punk and as as this is happening, Seth Rollins is
freaking laughing and smirking outside of the chamber as he's
watching this and seeing Punk is knocked out, and as
a result of that, seeing Punk couldn't answer to the

(27:12):
ref and then he called off the match, and therefore
Xena is the winner, number one contender, and he's going
to WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Yeah, rollin your bear still suck and whatever the other
team you like.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
I think that's the only team that he talks about though,
But man, what an ass clown movie. Shocked and pissed.
I do even know seth ROMs was inside the chamber.
I thought he had left, But that came out of nowhere,
came out of nowhere. It's like after that happened, it

(27:49):
was like a hope, just loss of hope because like, man,
how is Punk is gonna win? How? I mean, how's
I'm sorry, how's it gonna How's seeing Punk gonna go
to WrestleMania? Now? How he lost his opportunity at the
roy Rumble. He just lost his opportunity just now. It's
like what now? And I said to myself, well, what's
that favorite from Paul Hayman? Which will you know find

(28:12):
out later on in the coming weeks, though hopefully though,
but man, I was shocked and disappointed. Man, And yes,
like damn, you said.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
So trash and so trash. And it was a little
funny that Sina took advantage of Pump being down and
out right away. It was kind of like out of
character for him to do that. But I didn't want
to think too much of it. But then lo and behold,
some of my answers to those questions would come in
just a few short minutes.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Yeah. So after the matches over, Cody, as Sena was celebrating,
Cody Road shows up to pretty much can congratulate Zena
and you know, pretty much to set up the matchup
for WrestleMania, and then the Rock shows up with Travis Scott.
With Travis Travis Scott was there. Yeah, a lot of
people were saying, yeah, a lot of people were saying,

(29:04):
what was the whole point of having it? Like I
get Travis Scott was you know, he's you know, he's
doing the theme song for Russell Manny, which is understandable though,
but it was a bit weird that he was there though.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I think this is a modern day version of Hogan
and Dennis Rodman.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
I mean, that's what everybody's comparing it to that's what
it Yeah, but at all but still was weird. But anyway, Yes,
the Final Boss showed up with Travis Scott and pretty
much was saying, Hey, the time is now. Are you
gonna embrace me like your brother? Are you gonna embrace
me as you're champion? Are you gonna give me your soul?

Speaker 1 (29:37):
And if you say no, the dream dies again referring
to his dad because the night before on SmackDown the
Rock like showed Cody like a belt he made where
it's at Cody's soul on the back and it had
the date that Dusty Rhodes died on it. Yeah, crazy
fucking asshole, what a fucking egotistical, self centered douchebag. That's

(30:04):
why his movie suck.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Not all of his movies. And now come on, well, I.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Will say he is doing a movie with Leo and
Martin Scorsese where he's gonna be like a Hawaiian crime boss.
So I will go see that movie for sure.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Yeah, definitely heard this.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
But his black ass, Fast and Furious movies, all this
dumb ass action movies, no fucking thank you.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
No, No, there there was a couple of movies that.
I was like, Okay, I like this movie. I like
the Scorpion King.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
Okay, fair enough. That was fine. Also, grid Aroon Gang
was good too. I'll give you credit on that one. Yeah. Nothing,
And that movie Snitch was cool. That movie Snitch I
remember watching once. That movie was cool.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
Mmm, I've never seen that one.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
But you know, a movie of his was really bad
after watching it the second time around, you know a
movie of his was really bad. What that movie Paint
and Game.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
I never watched that movie. I heard bad things about
that movie.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
I saw it once and I was entertained by it.
He even brought back the old school like rock button
down shirts, which I got a kick out of. But
then after watching the movie the second time, I'm like, Yo,
this movie's pretty fucking bad.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
The movie was based on a true story.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
That's the thing. That was the thing. That's the thing
that when you watch a movie, you just realize, damn,
these guys were stupid. These guys were freaking stupid. Yeah,
but that's another story for another time. So the Rock
puts out his arms for Cody to hug him, and
then Cody says, I want it all, Rock, I don't
have a soul anymore. And the reason why is because

(31:37):
I gave my soul to this ring and to these
people a long time ago. And then he says the
money line, Hey Rock, go fuck yourself, and the crowd
goals ape shit.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Yeah, yo, wow. When I died, Hey, I look, I
kind of knew that Cody Rose was gonna do it,
But one thing I wasn't expecting. I was not expecting
him to say that.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Neither was that Holy shit. I think that's the first time.
I think that's the first time they've ever said the
F word uncensored on WWTV.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Yeah. Yo, Not even Stone Cold says something like that,
Not even Stone Cold Steve Austin says something like that.
You expect Stone Cold Steve also say that the Vince McMahon.
But no, of all people, man, Cody Rose says that
to the Rock.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
I mean, there's been a few times, like during a
match where I heard like maybe Austin dropped the f
ford or Kurt Angle dropped the f ford, but never
like during a promo. That's never happened.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
Oh no, No, I mean during I mean, come on,
like during the match is different, you know what I mean,
that's different, But like on a full on segment that's wow.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
This is every bit is good, if not better than
that time on Dynamite a few years ago when Christian
Cage was hugging Adam Copland and then he said go
fuck yourself in his ear.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Oh yeah, yeah, I remember, I was.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Great too, but yo, this is also dope. And then
the crowd goes crazy, and then Johnsena is jumping up
and down, jumping for joy like he won a seventeen
championship or some ship or like that, or like or
that the Peacemaker Show got picked up for season three whatever,
so he was it's a good show. Yeah, I heard,

(33:22):
I heard, I told you. The dude from Terminator to
the Villains in it. He's one of the places dad.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Oh Robert Patrick, Yeah, he plays on Johnson's dad on
the show.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
All right, but anyway, Yeah, so Johnson is jumping up
and down, and then he shakes Cody's hand and gives
him a hug. But then as he's giving Cody a hug,
the expression on Johnsena's face changes and then he stares
at the Rocks and then the Rogers does the throat
sign to him, and then Johnsena stops sucking Cody Rhodes
and then he kicks him in the.

Speaker 4 (33:53):
Balls and I'm telling you, ladies and gentlemen, crowd, I
was completely shocked and silent and oh my god, just
the unbelievable happened that night, and a lot of a
couple of my friends, well my friend and my and

(34:14):
my brother texted me, did John zena turn hill?

Speaker 2 (34:17):
And I was like, after watching that, Yeah, he definitely did.
And it wasn't insult the injury. It wasn't it that.
That wasn't it. He started beating up Cody Rose. He
even took his rolex and hit Cody Rose with his
own rolex, and then.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
He took the WW title and hit him with it twice,
and he made a nasty sound when he hit him
with the title.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Oh man, man, I forgot about that.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
And then he ripped Cody's shirt off, and then Cody's
bleeding all over his face. They ripped Cody's shirt off,
and then like Travis Scott is like holding Cody down,
and he even hit Cody in the face and apparently
gave him a black eye.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Yeah, and a bad ear drum kind of drum bust
the ear drum. I'm like, Travis, dude, like, do you know,
like chill, Like damn, dude, like you don't have to
Like That's why I was saying, Like when I heard that, man,
I was like, what's the whole point of having him there? Man?

Speaker 1 (35:18):
I guess maybe he said he doesn't like his music
or something and he wanted to pay back.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Everybody's talking about the receipt. Everybody's talking about the receipt
that Travis Scott's gonna get later. I was like, Oh,
I can't wait when he gets that receipt. Oh my god,
he's going I can't wait for that. Listen. I have
nothing against Travis Scott. I like his music. But I

(35:43):
was just the whole point of him having there was
just like, dude, what was it? It felt like Travis
Scott's is like the third wheel. It's like, what's the
whole point of happening in there? I just it was weird.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
It is what it is, I guess for star power,
like publicity, et cetera. But as they were both holding
him down, Sena and Travis Scott, the Rock took that
belt that he made for Cody and just whipped the
ship out of him.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Reminiscent of last year YEP and.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
Yeah, basically the Rock and Scena just stood over Cody
and the crowd booed the hell out of both of them.
And that's basically how the show went off the air
with John Cena turning heel for the first time since
two thousands.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Yep, I was in middle school, Kurt, I.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Was in eleventh grade. I was in eleventh grade when
John Cena was a heel last time.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
And this was leading up to Survivor series, yeah, two
thousand and three. Yeah, he had just turned like right
before Survivor series to be on Kurt Angle's team. Yeah,
because because I think Paul Haym was trying to trying
to recruit him to be on a Lessner's team. And yeah,
that was the last time. And it's funny when that happened,

(36:52):
Kurk And then I was I was seeing clips in
that video when Chris van Fleet was interviewing Xena, like,
you know, a couple of years ago about how you know,
what was the talks about him almost turning heel back
in twenty twelve and what would it be like him
and Rock be in his heel and all this, and
just like wow, because he almost did it back in

(37:16):
twenty twelve. Kurt.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Yeah, I'm telling you, I was at WrestleMania twenty eight
in that stadium, and from the reaction he got, he
might as well have been at heel.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Yeah, it's funny. It's funny there they were saying that
because they were saying how Vince McMahon wouldn't allow this,
and I was like, you know what, He's right, They're right.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Vince wouldn't allow this because Vince McMahon is a thief
of joy. That's why.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Let me look like the real reason. Let's be real though,
But the reason why he wouldn't allow that was because
you got to remember to make a Wish Kids foundation.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
It was that too. And also they had just like
signed some kind of endorsement deal with toys or rust
on footy, pebbles or like one or the other. Yeah,
so like big endorsement deals, so they you know, nixed it.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Yeah man, Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
We've been begging and hoping for John Cena to be
a heel for the longest time, and in his retirement
year he finally turns.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
He Yeah, everybody, So it's mixed. Some people are saying, like,
you wait until your retirement year to do it. Where
you could have did it a long time ago. At
the end of the day, it is what it is.
I'm not against it. I'm just like, whoa. I'm just
more shocked than anything, if I'm being quite honest with you.
Everybody was talking about it to the point where you're

(38:31):
talking about On ESPN, Shannon Sharp was talking about it.
He talked about Yeah, he talked about how like, oh,
maybe you got to do a tag match, you know,
at Summer Fest. And I was like, he even said
Summer Slam. Wrong. But it's whatever.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
It's not even the right damn name. That's a ship
that Jeremy Piven called it all those years ago.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
Hey, but it's hey, it's done at issue. Come on now,
it's just it's It was funny when he said it.
It's just whatever he said summer Fest. It doesn't matter,
Summer Fest, Chicken Fast don't matter, Lakers in five that
that's what he's gonna say.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
So, yeah, because Sena was on Club Shah a few
months ago, so now I guess Shannon Shuckfield betrayed.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Yeah, it was. It was funny because but like John Cena,
you're gonna pay John Cena.

Speaker 1 (39:16):
You should be ashamed of yourself right, Oh damn son,
It's yeah. I would have never seen this coming in
a million years, and Johnsena's retirrement year of all years,
because I kind of gave up hope on it happening
a minute ago because I just figured that John Cena
was like a lifetime babyface. But I will say better
late than never true, and especially considering the way they

(39:38):
pulled it off with the Rock being involved and just
that look the Rock gave him before he did it. Yo,
this ship was theater's son.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
It was pure cinema, pure cinema, and we're just gonna
be like, man, what the hell's gonna happen? Before it
I heard that John Zena will be on roll on
March seventeenth, episode of.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
Saint Patrick's Day of all Days, on Saint Patrick's.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
Day, Yeah, I wonder. I'm curious. I'm curious if he's
gonna have a new theme song because I heard that
Mark seventeenth, two thousand and five, almost twenty years ago,
which will be twenty years that was the date when
he debuted his My Time as an Now theme song.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
That's true, that was true. I was an episode of
SmackDown when I think Teddy Lung put in that clause
that he couldn't touch JBL until WrestleMania, and then like
JBL was like trying to provoke him all of a sudden, Jazz.
That was the last time I heard that song bad Night,
Yeah crazy. I was a senior in high school when

(40:38):
that all went. Oh my god, good times, oh very
good times. That was fun yeah, fun period.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Yeah, it's crazy how far back John Cena goes. Yeah,
I was like in high school, like when he was
like in his early years, and look at us now,
like almost forty years old. He's in his last year
of being a WW wrestler and he's now a bad guy.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
Yeah. And then for the new fans, you know, mainly
for kids, there were videos of kids crying and all that,
and look, it's understandable for them because like, look they
seen John Zena pretty much their own personal life as
a babyface. But as for us, this is not a
it's shocking, but look, this is not a first time
for us. We've seen when John Zena got into that

(41:23):
gimmick that he does now. He started off as a heel.
We started off as a heel, and a good one.
So this is really not like, oh my god, I
can't believe, like he's like, yeah, he's been a heel before,
ladies and gentlemen. There's not one person, there's not one
person in this business, past or present, who has not

(41:47):
been a heel.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Ricky Steamboat, Oh yeah, yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (41:54):
That's a good one. Yeah, you're right, you're right. Yeah,
pretty much every popular wrestler has been a heel.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Yeah. But one thing I'm hoping that he does is
that he starts rapping again and in his first rap
he says, fuck them kids.

Speaker 2 (42:11):
Right. I'm just curious, man. I hope he does like
darker colors like black. I hope he doesn't do the whole,
you know, multi colored thing that he does when you're
going to each city or whatever. Though. But I'm just
curious what's gonna happen on the seventeenth. But before we

(42:32):
even get to March seventeenth, we do have raw, we
have raw the following money.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
Well, before we get into raw Monday, I want to
kind of like touch on this scenea thing a little more.
A lot of people are comparing Sena turning heel over
the weekend. So when Hogan's turned heeled in ninety six,
and I could see where some of those comparisons would
come from because Hogan hadn't been a heel since like
the early part of his career, and it was like
a big deal when he did it, and Sena hasn't
been in a heeling over twenty years, so I kind

(42:57):
of see that similarity also, and they were like two
ultimate good guys for so long. But the biggest difference
I'll say is that Hogan's heel turn, like in ninety six,
that shit changed the wrestling industry. That was like literally
the beginning of like the wrestling boom in the nineties,
from that to the Attitude era. Yeah, Hogan turning Giel
and joining v nw AL was like the catalyst for

(43:19):
all of that. And Sina's is still big two, it's
still a big deal. It's still a big shock, and
I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.
But the thing is, it's kind of like seen it's
like at the end of his career and it's kind
of like about to retire at the end of the
year and all that, so it's not really going to
have that same like long lasting impact that the Hogan
heel turn did. But I'm still.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
If this was happened, Let's just say this happened back
in twenty twelve, right then long term, you went like, oh,
this would have been a major shift within the company,
you know what I.

Speaker 1 (43:53):
Mean, Like I think in modern times, like the most
closest I could think of a heel turn and like,
you know, change the industry, and like, how did hit
like a boom period? Again, was the Roman He'll Turn
from a couple of years ago?

Speaker 2 (44:05):
Yeah, oh yeah, no doubt, no doubt. I agree, Like
I said, I'll pick the Hogan at first, said Xena, though,
but like, no, Hogan He'll Turn was more shocking, and
then you want to think about long term as well,
how that affected everything. So yeah, Hogan's He'll Turn will
always be the top notch He'll turns.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
And think of all the garbage that they threw in
the ring that night too.

Speaker 2 (44:33):
Oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
But regardless of which He'll turn was better, which one
was more impactful? Yo? I am all for this, Senor
He'll run no matter how long it lasts. Hopefully it
lasts at least a healthy chunk of the year, But yo,
I am all here for it. This shit is going
to be spicy, and I can't wait until the seventeen
when he shows up. I heard Travis Scott apparently is

(44:56):
going to do his new theme.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Song on the seventeenth.

Speaker 1 (45:01):
Yeah, I heard, like when he comes out to his
new theme music, it's gonna be Travis Scott who does it?

Speaker 2 (45:05):
Oh? Okay, interesting, but Ladies and John before we get
to the seventeenth, Well, okay, overall, we thought about Elimination
Chamber as the event. Overall, damn good show.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
Probably the best pl I've seen since Summer Slam. Okay, yeah, Well,
chamber matches were great, the non sanctioned match was great,
and obviously the angle at the end put it over
the top.

Speaker 2 (45:32):
Just all the angles that they did throughout that night
was good because, like I said.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
Especially especially that one.

Speaker 2 (45:39):
Especially that one, because like I said, that there's gonna
be so many things that's gonna happen throughout that night
that's gonna head towards Russell Maney and it did in
a perfect way. So yeah, I am so far, very
great event for this year.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Yeah. The show started off with a hot angle with
Jadea attacking Naomi, and it ended with a great angle
with seene It turn and attacking Cody.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Yes. So all the following Monday, we had raw from
last night from Buffalo, New York, and oh my god,
I was looking forward to this night because it's stuff
like this Kurt and wrestling. When you have a cliffhanger endings,
especially a shocking one as we saw this past Saturday,
you cannot wait to see what's gonna happen and long

(46:24):
and behold, you know. The starts off with seeing Punk
headed to the to the arena in his truck and
he storms out to the ring just pretty much. We
had like a we had like a twenty twenty five
pie bomb edition of from Seeing Surprise and oh my god,
he went off, Oh yeah, he don't. Yeah. The Rock

(46:48):
John Zena seth rons those three people, those three enemies.
He went off pretty much saying how Colin Dwayne a
ball hitded fraud and.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Wow and referencing when the Rock like touches his hand
for the Boosebumpsy feels when he comes out and calling
it all bullshit and telling him how he pretends to
care about the business, and then he talks about like
I would never be so self centered and so full
of myself that I would need my own championship belt
to walk around to feel like I'm important. Yeah, it's

(47:20):
like the Rocks version of the million dollar Belt.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
I guess, yeah, pretty much. And man, and.

Speaker 1 (47:27):
Then he talks about John Cena, how like I knew
you were a fraud and I knew you were full
of shit the whole time. And you say, we can't
see you. We can see you now, we can see
that you're full of shit. Yeah, and then he basically says,
when I get my hands on both of you bald frauds,
you're gonna make a wish that I never did.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Yup.

Speaker 1 (47:48):
You know, his intensity was off the charts here.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
This doll, it was, Oh, it was you can't hey.
That was one. That was why I was looking forward
to Rod last night because of what happened. And then
there's a video. There was a video when when seeing
Punk lost elimination chamber, when the officials was you know,
carrying him out outside in the ring. He was literally pissed.
He really wanted to jump back into that ring. No shit,

(48:13):
he was, of course, of course, I know, I know
anybody was pissed. I was pissed and I cannot That's
why I was looking forward to Roll last night because
of what happened, and I was like, dude, Punk is
going to go off, and he did. And last but
not least the final one, seth Rawlins Nah.

Speaker 1 (48:33):
Yeah. He basically says like, beck Evin, you better go
get your husband before I do it, because if I
get him first, I'm gonna put his ass in a wheelchair.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
Yeah, and then seth Rowlins music hit and they just
went at it. As soon as seth Rowlans showed up,
Punk ran down to the to the entrance and they
started going at each other pretty much throughout the whole night. Kurt, well,
half the night, should I say, But damn, it was
all over the place to outsider of the ring, even
into the crowd, the announced table. It was even backstage

(49:07):
when you thought it was over, they were still attacking
each other backstage.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
Yeah, it was nuts, bro. They were brawling. Yeah, like
a the isleway in the ring. They were brawling, like
in the announced table area. They were like brawling during
the commercial break and then like Jackie Redman tried to
interview seth Rollins a little while later, and then they
started brawling backstage again, to the point where like Adam
Pierce had like, you kick them both out of the arena,
and he made the match official for next week on
Raw at Madison Square Garden, New York City. My Neck

(49:33):
of the Woods, c Impunk seth Rollins, steel cage match.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
Cage match, cannot wait enough said Monday Night Raw in
the Garden enough said, Yeah, this is.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
One spicy ass segments on from the promo to the
brawl afterwards. Yeah, this is one hot ass way to
open the show. This is one of the hottest openings
to arrive seen in a very long time.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Yeah, fuck me, man, I cannot wait.

Speaker 1 (50:04):
But I do think in that match next week we
see the return of Roman Reigns.

Speaker 2 (50:09):
Oh yeah, definitely in the Garden. Yeah, And I'm just
curious where this is going to lead into. I don't
want to put my finger on it, but I'm just
I'm very curious how this is gonna transition, is gonna
lead into the wrestle Mania So, because I still want
to see Punk in the main event.

Speaker 1 (50:25):
Considering that he took shots at Rock and Sena like
in the beginning of the promo, I think there still
there is a possibility that he could end up like
I'm permitting himself in Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Look, Cody Rose versus John Zena. It's okay, but you
have to ask somebody else to make it more intriguing,
you know what I mean. I'm not like slamming it
down or anything like that, but after what happened, you
have to put seeing Punk and you have to put
him in there, Dude, you have to.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
That's one thing I wanted to say a few minutes ago,
is that the best thing about Sena turning heel is
that it makes that match with Cody at WrestleMania a
hell of a lot more interesting because Cody and Sina
as a babyface versus baby face match is kind of
boring in some ways, to be honest with you. But
Sina as a heel, the first time being a heel

(51:15):
in twenty years, that's interesting. That's something I want to see.
And if you could somehow at inso the mix, yo,
I'm not complaining.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
I'm all for it. Man. Look I can't wait for
next week. We all know, you know, special things happen
inside the garden, especially when there's a show. When we
have Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden. Oh you know,
Oh my god, you know something special is gonna happen.
I cannot wait for it.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
Damn, I want to go so bad. I've been in
the Madison Square Garden for WW shows three times, but
every time I've gone there, it's always been for a
house show. Oh, in ninety five, in ninety six, and
in twenty sixteen. Yeah, so that is a match are
getting next week. I cannot freaking wait. And also on

(52:03):
Row we had Gunther take on Otis in a pretty
solid match. So Gunther's continuing to like that was a
solid match. Run through people to send a message to
jay Usso Otis.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
Took it to Gunther.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
Yay, he did.

Speaker 2 (52:16):
He took it to him. I was like, damn, I
figured he would yeah, but no, he took it to
him man and it was good for him. It was
a good match though, but now but Boother did get
the win though, but man Otis took it to him,
and then yeah, jay usso you know, gets involved and
you know, he attacks Boother. They go at it for

(52:37):
each other though, but then Gunther gets the last laugh
unfortunately though, But.

Speaker 1 (52:42):
Yeah, because Grayson Waller and Austin Theory came out and
attacked j usso because of the segment they had backstage
last week. And then Jay Russell fought them off, but
as he was fighting them off, snuck up from behind
and put him in the sleeper.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
So yeah, that ribably still heating up. We still got
seven weeks to go in so they finally WrestleMania. I'm
hearing people say that the match at WrestleMania should be
a squash match, kind of like the Brocken Scena match
from Swimmers Time twenty.

Speaker 2 (53:09):
No. No, that is waste time and that would low
key pissed me off because you literally just wasted time.
You had ja Uso to win the law Rumble to
just get squashed like that, Yeah, that'd be stupid when
everybody's been that, that would be that would be stupid.
And then guess what that happens, Right, that happens, then

(53:30):
all these fans are gonna say, see it told you
jay us and row Rumble is the wrong idea. You
should not even do that idea. Waste time.

Speaker 1 (53:39):
Yeah, there's no other logical conclusion. There's no other logical
conclusion for that match at WrestleMania other than jay Uso winning. Yeah,
but we still got weeks to go until we get there.
But also on rob we had a couple of title matches,
including Labri Valkira retaining her women's in her comminental title

(54:00):
for IVY Now, which is a little bit of a surprise,
and another good match on the show, The war Raiders
retained their tag team titles over the Creed Brothers, a
solid match.

Speaker 2 (54:11):
I like the Creed Brothers. I like the present.

Speaker 1 (54:13):
Yeah, they're good. I kind of thought they were gonna
win here but didn't happen. I think if any heel
team should get the titles, even though they've kind of
cool and off since there He'll Turn a couple months ago,
the New Day should get them.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Yeah. Moving forward, I mean with their He'll Run as
of late, what they're doing, I think they should be
the next one to get those titles. You're right, Yeah,
never thought about that.

Speaker 1 (54:34):
And speaking of the New Day, they're going to be
facing Raymonds, Stereo and Dragon Lee in a Texas Tornado
match next week.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
Oh okay, rest of them.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
He's carry von Erick. Yeah, that man should be spicy.
And also Chad Gable was like in Mexico. I think
they showed them like in Mexico last night, walking the
streets at night and then he got like handed like
some kind of box with something in it. Not sure
what it was exactly, but we'll see coming weeks. Maybe
it was a mask, not a COVID mask, but an

(55:05):
actual mask. But one of the other highlights of Raw
last night was the main events as Rio Ripley defending
her Women's World Championship against EEO Sky, with Bianca Belair
sitting at ringside to see who she would be facing
at wrestle Mating.

Speaker 2 (55:23):
Yes, and this was a damn good match.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
Oh hell yeah, this match was great.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:31):
Yeah, a lot of New York falls, oh yeah, a
lot of great spots. But ultimately that came to a
point where EO Sky was like attempting to get back
into the ring and Bianca Belair was like encouraging her.
But for some reason this pissed off Rhea Ripley.

Speaker 2 (55:47):
Yeah, and pretty much like what pissed her off was
the fact that, like she saw Bianca Belair kind of like,
you know, supporting Io Sky, and this was like the
turning point of the match. And when I look back
at this match, it's kind of like, you know, some
people were saying this, and I kind of agree. This
match kind of you know, should have ended on just

(56:07):
on a d Q because for one, and yeah, Real
Ripley shoved Bianca, but then as Real Ripley was about
to go back into the ring, Bianca bell Air pretty
much pulls her to the side and then puts her
hands on her. And yeah, the referee did get involved though,
but usually when we see stuff like this, usually there's
a d Q.

Speaker 1 (56:28):
Yeah, that kind of should have been, but for whatever reason,
there was no qualification. And then Real Ripley was on
the top rope about to hit EEO Sky with like
a riptide and she kept talking shit to Bianca and
that would allow wrest Yeah, and that would allow EO
Sky to hit Real with the Hurricane Rana and then

(56:49):
Eel Sky hit Real with over the Moon Salt and
Eel Sky so all of our shock and surprise defeated
and is now the Wills World Champion.

Speaker 2 (57:01):
Wow, I did not see that coming. Look, I have
nothing to look nothing against the Sky, right, But man,
I just I really thought Real Ripley was gonna win,
you know, I knew. I was like, Okay, it's gonna
be a good match, though, but Ria is gonna retain
because you're gonna get Ria versus Bianca at Manya. But no,
boy did they pulled the wolver over all of our eyes, man,

(57:21):
and yeah, EO Sky shocked us all. And she's the
new World Women's Champion and she's going to wrestle Mania
Mania to face Bianca bel Air. Wow, well, congrats to her,
Congrats to her.

Speaker 1 (57:34):
But wow, well I wouldn't put too much stock in
that yet because there's still six and a half weeks
to go intil WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (57:41):
They're gonna, yeah, they're, they're gonna, they're, they're they're gonna
see they're gonna fill in and put rih into that
mix up, So that's what they're gonna do. I know
they're gonna do that though, But you can't leave real
Ripley out of that.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Come on, now, Yeah, there's no way it's just gonna
be EO Sky and Bianca bell Air at WrestleMania without that's.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
Right, right, It's the whole entire time we were thinking it
was gonna be Rear versus Bianca though, but wow, but
Io getting involved and then remember this whole thing started.
This whole thing started with EO Sky being involved. This
whole thing started about what a few weeks back when
EO Sky was trying to qualify for the Elimination Chamber
and then rear Ripley got involved and costs her shot,

(58:24):
and because of that, she decided like, look, I'll give
you a title shot on Raw.

Speaker 1 (58:28):
And it backfired. It backfired in a major way.

Speaker 2 (58:32):
Oh my god, Oh my god. Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
Yes, but I'm happy for Eo Sky. I definitely did
not see this coming, but I'm happy that she became
the title and she's actually the first woman to win
the women's title and the women's World title.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
Oh wow, yeah, big congress to her.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
And now she's the first ever Women's Grand Slam champion
in WW and also Japan.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Nice nice, Yeah, good for her.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
But yeah, in a way, I kind of wanted to
be Bianca and Real one on one. It's like a
match I've been dying for for years. But the way
it's looking now, they'll probably have. It'd be a three
way at WrestleMania with the three of them, and then
maybe we'll get Bianca on Real one on one next year.

Speaker 2 (59:21):
We'll see maybe, or they'll maybe do one at SummerSlam. Maybe,
I don't know. Maybe.

Speaker 1 (59:26):
Nah, that's a WrestleMania match, Bro, that's a WrestleMania match.
I've ever seen one.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
We'll see yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
And also Bianca is going to be occupied with this
whole Jade and Naomi thing in some way too, so
we have to see what happens with that on Friday
on SmackDown.

Speaker 2 (59:41):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but.

Speaker 1 (59:44):
A shocking way to end Raw. People were complaining about
this WrestleMania build being lackluster and uninteresting, but after Elimination
Chamber on Saturday and also Raw last night, you can't
say that shit.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
No more, no way, no more, no more. Like I said, man,
you go back to last year, everybody including us, were
in an uproar about what they were doing and then
look what happened. And I said the same thing you
know last week. Look be patient, trust the process, and
look where we're at now. So unpredicted. I love the

(01:00:16):
unpredicted unpredictability in wrestling because we could say this and
this may happen, but we don't know what's going to happen,
you know, with John Za turning heel and you know,
and we don't know what. We still don't know. The
situation was seeing puncturing again the Mania. We still don't
know what the favors are from Paul Hayman, you know,

(01:00:38):
el Sky went in the title and just so much
stuff going on right now, so much.

Speaker 1 (01:00:44):
Yeah, Ria Ripley was not happy to no surprise after
that loss. Yeah, she was having this crazy ass meltdown.
She was like really pissed off at herself, and hey,
I have to say, she has nobody to blame but
herself in this situation. She's the one who screwed up.

Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
Yeah. Like I said, that was the turning point of
the match. He got distracted.

Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
Yeah, she's like paying so much attention to Bianka when
it's not even that serious and then look what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
Yeah, and Bianca wonn't even do anything.

Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Yeah, not at all. But we'll see how this builds
up in the next few weeks. One person who may
be joining WWEV very soon is Ray Phoenix, as it
came out yesterday that he's no longer a part of
AW Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
I heard about that, possibly team up with Penta again
from what I'm hearing, But hey, I will not be
surprised if if he blends in WWE, so of.

Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
Course not he's him in ww is inevitable. We can
see him there within the next month or so, if
not soon. Yeah, even though Pent's doing fine on his own.
I don't think Penton necessarily needs to be an attack
team just yet, but I wouldn't be against it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
Nope.

Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
It looks like Tony Kain's finally letting these people go
who are like all unhappy and all miserable. So yeah,
it's a good look. Yeah, some people who are not
happy in WW right now, or some of the employees,
as a report came out the other day that morale
among the employees is down recently because of the fact
that they're like being forced to do more work and

(01:02:15):
more have more responsibility, but they're getting reduced benefits now.
And this has all been like happening ever since the
TKO merger.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
Man that the ticket priceis is just like oh, man,
on a business when you're doing mergers, it business wise
it may seem okay though, but overall some of that
stuff is not okay. You're seeing the effects in work
and we're seeing the effects outside of it. It were,

(01:02:47):
Look what bothers me the most of the ticket prices? Dude,
This is like, like it bothers me that I'm not
going to be able to go to wrestle Manya this year.

Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
Yeah, that's some bullshit. I mean, you can give ww
credit for the great creative we've been getting vage and
the fact that the talent seems like they're happier now
and all that, that's great, but the ticket price bullshit.
And some of these stories we're hearing about the morale
for the employees where they have to work a lot
more and get less for it. Yo, that's not right, bro,
and they deserve to be called out for it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Yeah, it's not right or any company, but man, it's
just it just it bothers me, man, because like wrestling events,
or I said this before, your main audience in wrestling
are middle class. It's always been like that, even before
our time, you know what I mean. So it was
very easy, just very easy and accessible for us to

(01:03:40):
attend these events, especially if you have a family, you
know what I mean. And now with me having a
kid on the way, let's just say he gets into
wrestling just like I am. You know, it's gonna be
very disappointed and be like, hey, maybe certain events, hey kid,
hey son, I can't take you, you know what I mean,
especially out of wrestle Mania.

Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
Yeah, and not to mention employee like work long hours,
who are like in many ways, the hard soul of
your company, like, and you're gonna treat them like that? Yo,
that's mad.

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Mess though, it is it is, But we'll see.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
What happens with that, and who knows, maybe those employees
might go on strike kind of like the Hollywood ritsu. Yeah.
But one person who doesn't speak too badly about WWE,
despite not getting a contract renewed a few weeks ago,
was so near de Ville. She even said a few
weeks ago that she doesn't understand like why a lot

(01:04:36):
of people talk badly about ww after they leave, because
she said, like, personally, she had a good experience there.
It was like a great ten year journey for her,
but it was just like time to move on. So
like her personally, she can't say bad things about them
in that regard. And another reason why she can't say
bad things about them is the fact that after that
whole kidnapping situation happened with the Ravels years ago, where
that dude tried to break into our house, Vince McMahon

(01:04:59):
personally paid for or to stay in like certain places
to keep her safe. Mm hmm, Okay, hey, that's nice
of them. I mean we have our you know, feelings
about Vince our criticisms about him, and rightfully so, but
you have to also give the man credit when he
does something good.

Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
And I give him credit for doing that one thing.
You know, Speaking of Vince, there's one thing that he
did say about a couple of weeks ago. He talked
about how about the ring, about the the sponsorships, Like
he's saying that how that ring should be sacred, this
should be nothing on that ring. And I totally agree

(01:05:35):
with him. It's not that serious, no it, Kurt, it
is that serious, Like you have to you have to
respect the traditions of the ring. Kurk.

Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
Come on, w c W had sponsors all over their
rings all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
I don't care. That wasn't his company. We're not talking
about w CW boxing. They do that. I don't care.
I just I feel like, when you have all these sponsors,
sponsorships all over the ring. Yeah, I even said this
last year, when you have all over the ring apron,
I talked about how I remember during the main event

(01:06:09):
of WrestleMania of Night one, I was just distracted by
the whole sponsorships all over the apron and all that stuff.
I'm like, dude, we get it. On a business standpoint,
like you're getting money to be sponsored, that's cool and
all that, but like how much is too much? It's
like you don't have to put it all over the
ring and all over the ring apron and all that. Like, dude,

(01:06:31):
we get it.

Speaker 1 (01:06:33):
Yeah, they got a little out of hand. I'm not
going to lie. And also the fact that they were,
you know, having the Fried Chicken Company sponsor the Black
Women's tag team match and the Mexican restaurant sponsoring the
raymister we will imagine all that. Yeah, like they kind
of like didn't think about what matches were being sponsored
by what companies. I was kind of a brain dead move. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
At the end of the day, man, respect the foundations
and the traditions of the wrestling business, you know, I mean,
like you don't have to put all of that on
the matt. I just I'm against it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
Maybe you should have respected the business by not doing
such dumb ass storylines those last few years he was around.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
I know, but that's another story that was still But
I mean when he said that, I was like, I
one agree with what he said. That was even Vin
Senior would have said the same thing.

Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
Sounds about right.

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
But before we get out of here, I want to
break down this list from Sports Illustrators that dropped a
few days ago about the top ten women's wrestlers in
WW history. Let's break it down for you guys, Real
Fast number ten, or Landre Blaize number nine, Bianca Belair
number eight, Oscar number seven, China number six, Bailey number five,

(01:07:51):
Mercedes Monet number four, Lida number three, Trish Stratus number two,
Charlotte number one, Becky Lynch.

Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
I feel like China should have been a little bit
more higher.

Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
That's maybe one aspect of it. I also think that
Rio Ripley should have been on this list.

Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
Oh I agree, Yeah, I'm surprised. Yeah, yeah, you're right, Yeah,
you're all right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
I would maybe take out a Landre Blaze and put
Rio Ripley in there. As hard as the decision that is,
I would have to probably put Rio Ripley over.

Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Yeah, because the Laundra Blaze is like one of those
first founders of the women's division in the WWE. You
know what I mean that. Yeah, but yeah, I would
have put Reird Ripley up on that list.

Speaker 1 (01:08:37):
So yeah, Landra Blaize was the women's champion when I
first started watching. Yeah, but if you do with Boon
Nakano and Lunava Sean, Yeah, remember like it was yesterday. Yeah,
Becky Lynch's number one sounds about right. I mean her
star power speaks for itself, or accomplishments also speak for themselves.
M Charlotte's also a very close second. You can't take

(01:09:00):
that away from her. And Trish everybody knows the history
Trish Maide.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
Yeah, and Lida Lida Mercedes mon.

Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
Aid at number five. Yeah, it's fair enough. She was
even saying recently in an interview that people swear that
she's like the same person on TV in real life
and how people can't separate from like who she is
on TV to who she really is in person. I
wanna believe her, but I just I've defended her for

(01:09:29):
so long, but it just I really don't get a
good vibe from her anymore. Yeah, it's hard. I mean,
she's still very talented. I'll never say that she sucks
in the ring or any of that, but just the
way she comes off, Yeah, it just doesn't y.

Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
Yeah, the past couple of weeks up in here and stuff,
and I was like not coming off the right way. So yeah,
you're right.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
Yeah, Bailey definitely deserves to be on the list. Bailey's
definitely one of those unsung heroes of that women's division who,
like I've said before, it doesn't get enough credit. And China, China,
I would say her and like say, but were like
the first two women to like really go mainstream in
the women's division.

Speaker 2 (01:10:07):
Yeah, especially China.

Speaker 1 (01:10:09):
Yeah, yeah, definitely like an attitude area. Yeah, both of
them were like by far, like a two months who
like really like crossed over.

Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
Yeah yeah, And.

Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
I just remember her like when she first debuted, like
her physique and how she would like women handle the men. Yeah,
she was definitely something I had never really seen before. Yeah,
definitely a trailblazer, gotten too soon, but yeah, definitely deserving
to be on the list. Oscar Oscar's definitely one of
the greats of these last few years, her undefeated streak,
her great title reigns, being a Grand Slam champion. Yeah,

(01:10:40):
she's definitely one of the goats. Still think her undefeated
streak ended a little too soon, but shit happens. Most
undefeated streaks usually end too soon if you really think
about it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
Oh yeah, yeah, you're right.

Speaker 1 (01:10:54):
Ambiacabella Ara goes without saying, especially how fast she's risen
and just being in the made roster for only a
few years. Yeah, she's definitely a trailblazer and undefeated at
WrestleMania too.

Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
Oh yeah that wow, Well see how.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Much longer that lasts. Yeah, and Alandra plays unfortunately, she
was a star doing like a down era in WW
just in general, not even for the women, just for
the women, but just in general down era. But she
was definitely great. She was definitely incredible in the ring
and definitely carry that torch during the time when you know,

(01:11:29):
things weren't so hot. And also her work as Medusa
when she was in like the AWA and also wcw.

Speaker 2 (01:11:38):
Oh okay, and she was like one.

Speaker 1 (01:11:40):
Of the first major pieces of the Monday Night world
from that one time when she threw the women's title
in the garbage yep, I'll never forget watching that that night.
She was nuts. Yeah, those early early days of the
Money Night Wars were some spicy shit and it would
only get spicy wars years went on.

Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
Exactly just how what's going on right now?

Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
Yeah, Carmela's interview about like, you know, her departure from
WW is supposed to drop in a few days, and
a little snippet from it dropped right before we came
on the show, and she basically said she felt like
she was being punished for having a baby. Hmmm damn
oh man, Yeah it's too bad man. Like I said,

(01:12:26):
I always thought she was a great character, and she's
also very underrated character.

Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:12:34):
I like when she would do the moonwalk, like when
she used to do the moonwalk when she was like
with Big Casts and Enzo, and then she did like
those like thirty second dance breaks. And then when she
had that James Owlsworth dude with her, when she was
like the women's money in the bank that she was funny.

Speaker 2 (01:12:47):
Yohmember that.

Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
Yeah, it seems like her aunt Corey Graves was like
not really on the good side of WWE these days.
Oh what's up with that? And the words of the
hurricane where I've been seeing a lap baby trying to
break up these damn bralls?

Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
Yeah, I saw him. He was an elimination chamber. Was
he was he trying to break up the.

Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Fight last night too?

Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
Yeah? Yeah, he was on else I noticed, So I
saw Remember Kenny Dykstra from The Spirit Squad, Yeah, I
remember him. I saw him too. I was like, what
is that Kenny Distro. I was like, wow, Like, you
can't fool me with those suits. I remember faces now,
so I was like, wait a minute, I know that.

Speaker 1 (01:13:30):
I think he's Yeah, I think he's also Mickey James's X.

Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
Oh that's right. They used to date each other. Oh
my god, you are so right about that. Wow. Yeah crazy?

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
Oh all right, bro, anything else you want to get
into tonight?

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
Oh no, that would be all I. I can't wait
for next Monday.
