Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, yo, what is going on in my fellow wrestling fans.
Welcome to a brand new week and welcome to a
post aw AL in Texas, Saturday night's main event and
ww Revolution edition of what we like to call the
Clash of Champions, where we dive headfirst into all the storylines, controversies, personalities,

(00:20):
and everything in between that's center around this world we
know we love as.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Professional wrestling for better or worse.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Sign your host, Devigan, you believe in conscious Kurt aka
Kerr gpt in the flesh as always and my co
host needs no introduction, but the hell with it.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
He's gonna give y' all one anyway.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, this is Taxing partner Jonathan
Randall the Adventure himself and boy do we had a
full course menu of wrestling last weekend and it delivered,
really delivered. On the point. There's so much writing a
little bit bittersweet at the same time. Nobody will get
to it. But man, so much full wrestling goal ore

(01:03):
last weekend and yeah, man from aaw to NXT the
Saturday night's main event and also ending with Evolution, man
I was one hell of a week in of wrestling.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah, I think I watched a good ten to eleven
hours of wrestling total on Saturday and Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Wow, with Evolution honestly being the pretty much like the
best event from that weekend, quite possibly the best pl
of this year.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, there's definitely an argument you can make it to that.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
But first I want to dive into AAW all In
which took place from Arlington, Texas as Lobelife Fuel and
this is aw's biggest attended show in North America as
it did twenty seven thousand people, and visually it looked great.
The fact that they did this at stadium in the

(01:55):
States because they did the last two were Wembley Stadium.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
But yeah, I really look great here.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
I can't say it was better than the last two
all in shows that took place at Webley, but it
was still a good show nonetheless, and definitely a lot
to take out of it.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yeah. I was looking at the photos and you know,
the videos on social media and also I mean, you know, throughout,
and it looked visually, it's just the presentation. It looked
really great. It had that it's their biggest show of
the year, you know what I mean, It's star wrestle Mania,
so you have to make it big.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
So yeah, and from the setting to the entrances to
the matches, it really felt like that. It really felt
like their WrestleMania. I'm gonna break down some of the
highlights of the show, which featured MJF winning the Casino
Battle Royal to become the number one contender for the
aw Championship. It's kind of like that version of money
in the Bank in a sense. But yes, now he
has a shot at the title.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
And Casino Casino Battle roy That's that's an interesting name. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
That match is thirty four minutes long too.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah, the way that match works is like two guys
start out and every few minutes somebody else comes in
and if somebody gets to win first before all the
other participants come out, and that person wins.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah, weird concept, very bad. That's a little confusing. Now,
that is weird a little bit.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, but MJF won that Battle World and I was
gonna be back in the title picture probably very soon.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Sooner than later.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
But also on All In we had some sad news
as Adam Cole, who was scheduled to defend his TNT
championship against Kyle Fletcher had to be taken off the
show due to some injury issues. They weren't really discussed
too much, but Adam Cole did come out and he
officially relinquished the title and in many ways kind of

(03:38):
gave a retirement speech, although it wasn't officially won, but
just the way he sounded from how he was describing everything,
he doesn't know for sure if he'll ever be back.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Pretty much the unforeseeable future. That's crazy too, how we
had an injury that that night and then pretty much
we'll have another one. I felt like there was this
whole weekend of us was like bittersweet. We'll get into
later though, but yeah, that is very unfortunate to hear
that you're going to be a put on a card.
You have the intentions of wrestling, but then all of

(04:09):
a sudden an entry happens. And I know stuff in
professional wrestling happens, though, but it is unfortunate.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Yeah, you really felt for the guy, like he was
very emotional throughout the speech. Even Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick
Strong were like waiting after the Casino Battle Royal and
watching his speech and then they hugged him afterwards. Yeah,
like it didn't look good from how he was describing it.
It might be a concussion issue, it could be something else,
but from just how it was described, it looks like
he's going to be out for a hot minute.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Damn. I always like Adam Cole man. I have the
pleasure of watching him perform in person when I attended
Double or Nothing about three years ago. But yeah, he's
always been a great wrestler, even when he was, you know,
in n XT you know, so.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Yeah, I saw I'm performing an NXT house show back
in twenty eighteen actually at.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
The Orleans Oh okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, Adam Cole's great man.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
He's just unfortunate that, like he's kind of been plagued
with injuries the last few years. I know, we had
a concussion issue a few years ago that almost ended
his career for good, and then he had that ankle
injury from a year and a half ago that kept
him out up until recently. He even missed last year's
All In because of that injury, and then now this happens.
So yeah, I really feel for the guy who's really
had a rough few years. I'm hoping keeping my fingers

(05:28):
crossed that This is not the end for him, that
he's eventually able to come back from this, but if
God forbid, he's not able to come back from this.
He had a great career that he has nothing to
look back on, and I wish.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Him the best. Same here man, same.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
So, as a result of Adhaim Cole forfeiting the AWT
and D Championship, he let the belt go and it
was put up in a four way match that decides
a new champion between Ring of Vanner tag team champions
Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guavara, Kyle Fletcher, and Danny Garcia.

(06:04):
And since it was his home state and since he's
never actually won a title in AAW in the years
he's been there, Dustin Rhodes ended up winning the match.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
It was a history making moment. I mean everybody was
talking about and raving about it. And this was his
first singles title in AAW.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
First title in AW period. The technically he has the
Ring of Out Attack team titles, but as far as AEW,
he's been in the company since it started. He just
resigned with them recently and now he wins his first
championship in his home state.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah, it was a history making moment. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, you could tell he was genuinely happy. He was crying,
he was very emotional. His nephews came out, his family
came out to celebrate with him. Yeah, it was great.
I mean it sucks that, you know, Adam Cole went
down with the injury and that all happened, But I'm
happy that Dustin roads and he's got to have a
moment like this, especially at this stage in his career.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Oh yeah, look, when one door opens, another one, No,
when one door closes, another one opens, And this was
that moment. And yeah, it was very unfortunate Adam Cole
got hurt. But hey, like I said, this whole weekend
was bittersweet, and this was one of them where if
you had a sweet moment where Dustin Rhodes pretty much

(07:16):
wentz in his hometown his first singles title, pretty much
first ever title in aw since he's been in with
the company. And yeah, this is a great moment for
me and it will deserved.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I even remember Dustin Rhodes from like when I first
started watching WCW in ninety four, and.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
This dude is still doing his thing, going, yeah, still going.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, a lot of the people from his era either
retired or unfortunately they passed away. But Yo, he's still
going strong and he's still putting on good performances. More
power to him. How does he know he's got to
be in his fifties, like somewhere in his fifties?

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Wow, Yeah, I would say maybe late fifties, give or
take if I had to, Yeah, take a guess. But
in any event, Dustin Rose is your new TNT World Champion.
And in our next match, this is one of my
favorite matches on the whole show. We had the Young
Bucks against Swerve Strickland and will Osprey and Yo, will
Osprey had one badass entrance if you saw like highlights

(08:15):
of it online.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Holy shit.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
He came up through like the stage like kind of
like how Raymond Stereo used to do.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yo.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
It was a crazy vibe and he had these like
these like Mortal Kombat type games like doing this kind
of thing before he came out.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
It was really cool.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
And also we saw the appearance of Jojo Jojo, the
widow of Bray Wyatt, also former ww ring announcer. She
actually sang shock of cons can't Nobody love Me better?
Right before Swerve Strickland.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Came out really. Oh that's interesting.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Yeah, I was wondering why she sang that song, and like,
I mean, it was good and all, she had a
good performance, but I was like wondering why she's singing
this song. And then I came to find out later
that Sworth Strickland actually used to come out to that
song when he was on the indies.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Oh okay, interesting. It's funny how you mentioned Mortal Kombat earlier,
because today the trailer for Mortal Kombat Too just dropped.
Oh shoot, I gotta check it out. Actually, it's pretty
it looks pretty good. It will be in the theaters
this October though, but actually looks really good and looks
somewhat better than the first one, so I'm actually I'm

(09:16):
looking forward to that.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
So yeah, yeah, I actually just saw Superman yesterday too.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
I I was about to Actually, how was it? Do
you like it? It was good.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
I wouldn't call it great. I wouldn't call it the
best like comic book movie I've seen ever, but it
was good. I'll say that much.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
It was good.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
It's worth seeing.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Yeah, it's the most I've ever spent paying for it,
damn movie ticket with it being IMAX three d but
it was good.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
But I'll say this much. But I'll say this much
as far as like the whole woke argument that was
going on and surrounding it. If you watch that movie
and you take the side of Lex Luthor, you really
need to revamp like some of your morals and some
of your ways of thinking of things and looking at
the world.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
That is interesting. Wow. Okay, I'm gonna take that. Yeah,
I'm gonna take that into consideration. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, because like people were talking about how it's too woke,
it's too liberal, it's pushing an agenda, all that jazz.
But I just like watched the movie for myself, and
I could say, I can maybe see why some people
would maybe come up with that. But at the same time,
like just watch that movie. If you watch that movie
from start to finish, I mean you take the side
of like the villains and take the side of Lex Luthor.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Yeah, you need to check yourself.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
All right, but that's another story. But yeah, the Young
Bucks came out, and the Young Bucks came out sailing
to the ring like on a sailboat, like Christopher Columbus
or some shit. And Justin Roberts read this like big
long sheet, like talking about them on.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
The way to the ring. That shit took forever.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Yeah, but with that a side, Yo, this is one
badass match. It went over twenty five minutes. There was
even one point where Will accidentally hit Swerve and you
almost thought that was gonna cost him a match, but
they rebounded from that and they actually hit the Young
Bucks with their own finish her to finish them off.
Get the win, and now the Young Bucks are no
longer EVPs of AAW.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
You know, of all the things I was hearing about
this match, that was pretty much hearing. There's like a
lot of no cells and that match, especially the spot
where they did know the Mexican Destroyer did not sell.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Yeah, they do that a lot of AW matches.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Admittedly, yeah we see stuff like that, but when it
came to that spot, especially to a move like that
and you know sell, it goes to show you why
AW gets a lot of slack for that.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
So yeah, this is what it is though, But Swerve
and Osbrey picked up the win. It was a great match,
great outcome. And also throughout the show we had Athenia,
we had Athena, the Ring of Honor, Women's Champion, the
longest reigning champion and Ring of Honor history winning the
Women's Casino Royal Battle Royals, So she's now going to

(11:58):
get a shot at the AW women Championship. And Bobby
Lashley and Shelton Benjamin the Hurt Business Hurt Syndicate My bad.
They had a great entrance actually before they came out
for their match. We Hurt people, We Hurt people. The
dudes who do their theme song actually performed them to
the ring along with MVP and MJF. Yeah, it was
a dope entrance and they ultimately detained the AW Tag

(12:22):
Team Champion Chips after Nick Wayne turned on Christian Cage
and then after the match, Nick Wayne was about to
hit Christian Cage with the concerto FDR was actually in
the ring like about to kind of like to watch
him do it, and then Adam Copeland showed up, made
his return for the first time in a few months
and cleared the ring of all of them, and then

(12:43):
he helped up Christian Cage and kind of a throwback
to like what Christian Cage said to Adam Copland the
first time they met in AW about a year and
a half ago. Copeland sold Christian instead of go fuck yourself,
go find yourself before he left the.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Ring deep go find yourself as a deepens.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
So this is probably leading to Adam and Christian getting
back together and teaming up to take on FTR, possibly
yet hw all Out, which is apparently gonna take place
in Toronto. Oh okay, that make perfect sense. Yeah, yeah,
so now they're back together. And then the show was
almost four hours in by this point, and by four

(13:26):
hours we were finally at the main events.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Oh. I was hearing a lot of things about that.
How long that event was?

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Yeah, put it this way, Put it this way. I
started watching it like around like yeah, like five thirty
six o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, like after I
got off work. And then it was almost like ten
o'clock at night, and I hadn't gotten to the main
like the main events yet, and I had to go out,
so I couldn't finish watching it until the next year.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
You gotta be kidding me. You see what I'm talking about.
It's the it's the what the late twenty ten version
of Russell Mania. How long? Yeah, that's the best way
to described it. Literally, Yeah, wow, it was still a
good show.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
There was still a lot of good ship on it,
but yeah, that was very noticeable.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
And especially and especially that you had to go out
to you kind of just like you kind of you know,
leveling it up here. You're kind of like, well, damn,
I want to go out, but it's like how long
this event is gonna last?

Speaker 1 (14:19):
You know, I still went out, Yeah, I still went out.
I was like, yo, I could just watch the.

Speaker 3 (14:22):
Rest of tomorrow. But yeah, yeah, yeah, but it's just
you kind of like it's just it's a bit annoying
it in a way though, because you're like, you want
to you want to go out, You're about to go out,
and you're kind of like keeping up with this event
and you're like, well damn, this would have been you
know over like a while ago, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Yeah, it's like, you know, it's four hours in and like, yeah,
there's still like three matches left and three main matches
at that, but in any event, we had one of
those main matches being the a W Women's Championship match
between times Tony Storm and Mercedes Monet Mercedes Omega Hogan,
whichever you prefer.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
She had a cool entrance.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
She has like the texts rangers like cheerleaders come out
and like do a cheer for her, and she came
out like in a Cadillac.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Yeah, it was a dope entrance.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
It can't buy.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
And then Tony Storm came out, got a great reaction
and yeah, this is a good ass match.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
This match definitely lived up to the hype it had surrounding.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
It should have. I mean, those two caliber rustlers in
the ring, you gotta show out and you know, put
on a great match, and I believed it. Yeah, it
was great.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Even Tony Storm hit Mercedes with the Storm zero three
times in a row her finisher and Mercedes kicked out. Cool,
but Mercedes put up a fight. Mercedes definitely putting her
all on this match, but ultimately she fell to a
Storm zero from the top rope, which is basically a

(15:45):
pile driver from the top rope, and that was enough
for Tony Storm to pick up the win and retain
her title and had Mercedes monet her very first loss
in ae W.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Hey, I told you it had happened. I mean, you
can't have all the gold. Yeah, we both predicted it.
We both predicted it, and look, you can't have all
the gold Man and it was something that needed to happen.
She had she needed that taste of humble pie and
she did so.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Yeah, she loses nothing by losing this match. It was
a big match with a lot of hype going into it.
The match delivered the Mattress great and yeah it's one
loss and she already has five other titles still anyway.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Right, Tody, the fanos of Ady w this is like
those billionaires.

Speaker 1 (16:28):
These are like those damn billionaires who have all the money,
who have all the yachts, but you'll go take away
like people who are less fortunate, like their benefits and
like things they need just so they could buy another yacht.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Need more yachtsa you need sick shit.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
But yes, I'm very happy with his outcome. I'm happy
that Tony's Stone retained. And yeah, Mercedes finally got her
first loss and the Rats finally got humbled. I said
it even on last week's show, like her character on
TV is just too unlikable.

Speaker 3 (16:59):
To roof for. I mean, she's a heel as what
you're supposed to do.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yeah, yeah, I give her that. I give her that.
She is a great right.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
Like if she's if she's doing something to piss you
off about her character, then she's doing her job.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Yeah, I don't know if that's how she really is
in real life and whatnot, but just that.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Was as far as probably it's.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Possible, but as far as what I see on the show,
as far as what I see on TV, I'm.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Like, yo, I hope this girl gets her as.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Kit probably probably is. I've been hearing some stuff about
how like she's you know, kind of not you know,
not fan friendly. Yeah, in persons, you know, so I've heard. Yeah,
I've heard that too.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
But regardless of you know, those personal feelings or what
she's like in real life, you have to give credit
where it's due when it comes to match quality and
you know, being a star and all that good stuff.
And yeah, she does deliver in those fields. Same with
Nicki Minaj, as we talked about before the show started.
I mean, even if you don't like somebody's behavior the
personal atlantics, you can't deny your talent at the end.

Speaker 4 (17:57):
Of the day.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
I mean, yeah, I mean, well, I mean you don't
have to you know, listen to their you know whatever, though,
I mean, regardless of their talents. No, I'm not saying
you have to listen to their music.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
I'm just saying, you can't deny how talented they are,
even if you don't like some of the things they think,
even if you don't like some of the things they do.
All right, but anyway, time this, Tony Storm retains their title,
and then we had a title unification match between Kenny
Omega and Okada. Well, this was a good match. It
did feel kind of long, especially at this point in
the show, and from whatever everybody said, how long this match,

(18:28):
it was roughly about thirty minutes, maybe a little bit less.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Geez. So you were at like the four hour mark, right,
you had Mercedes Money and Tony Storm, and then you
have this one won thirty minutes, and then you have
the main event, which I'm assuming what went what another
thirty minutes? Right? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Plus and Okada ended up beating Kenny Omega the Unit,
so it become the unified champion. And it's funny enough,
this is their first match ever on American soil, and
from what people said, this is their weakest.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Match they've ever had together.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Really, It's kind of like the aj Styles and Knacklemore
match from WrestleMania thirty four, where there was like so
much hype going into it because of their match in Japan,
but then the match itself at WrestleMania, it was fine,
but it wasn't as good as you kind of expected
it to be.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
You know. I think this is a common thing in
wrestling sometimes not just with aaw though, but just just
in professional wrestling in general, where I've seen over the
years where certain wrestlers will have a match on pay
per view or whatever and didn't turn out to be great,
but when they wrestle each other at a house show,

(19:36):
they put on just a five star performance.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I didn't see any of their matches in Japan, but
their match here I said, was good, but I didn't
think it was as good as some of the other
matches on the card. But ultimately, you know, it was
still good for what it was. So now the International
and Continental championships are both unified under Rokata, and now
he holds both belts, and the match to go through minutes,

(20:00):
Yes I did, It went thirty minutes.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Yeah, So that and then plus the main event, which
I'm assuming went what another thirty plus minutes, So overall
it feels like this show probably went like five and
a half were close to six hours, right.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Just about, yeah, just about six hours.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
It was going on. It was still going on as
Saturday Night's main event started. Oh so all in it
lasted longer than Great American Bash. It lasted a good
chunk of how long Saturday Nights made event lasted, So.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
It pretty much like lasted like half of a Saturday.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Yeah, she took up most of my day and my
next day too, and you got stuff to do.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Yeah, it was madness.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
But speaking of the main event, the main event did
go thirty five minutes, and that main event was for
the aw World Championship, a title bell we had not
seen since October of last year, where Hostage Yeah big
Time defended his title against hang Matt Adam Paige, who
came out to his old theme music, which I really
liked that I heard.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Yeah, I heard about that. He came out to those
old theme song.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
I forgot to mention last week. This match was actually
a Texas death match, no surprise considering it's John Moxley,
and yet to no surprise, this match was very bloody,
very violent.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
There was one point where.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Hangman Adam Page stabbed John Moxley in the head with
a fork and they brought like, yeah, yeah, they brought
like broken glass into the match, and then John Moxley
pile drove Hang Matt onto the broken glass.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Yeah, this whole thing was madness and sick as fuck.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
Dude. He literally had him in a triangle chokehold, right,
and then Adam Page literally had that fork and he
kept stabbing at John Moxley's head. Dude, just multiple times.
That was just crazy, dude.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Yeah, and just like I expected, this match should have
a lot of crazy shenanigans and interference, including from the
Death also the Young Bucks.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Also, will Osprey came out.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
But unfortunately he was stomped with a chair wrapped around
his neck by Claudio Castanoli and that so came out.
He had to be taken out on a stretcher. The
same thing happened somewhere with Joe earlier in the show
and he was also taken out on a stretcher.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah, so that happened. And then Bryan Danielson actually came out.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
He came out in a mask and yeah, he helped
out him, hanged that out of Page. He cleared out
the Young Bucks and the rest of the Death Riders.
He opped out with that part, and also Darby Allen,
fresh off of climbing on Mount Everest, came from the
ceiling just like Sting used to do and also came
out to back up hang that out of Page. Wow,

(22:43):
But the ace in the hole, the real ace in
the hole was hang Matt, Adam Pager's old nemesis, Swerved Strickland,
and the two of them had a very interesting discussion
backstage on Collision last week where Adam Page handed a
Swerve like a like a Jane like a long ash chain,

(23:06):
and then Swerve came out with that same chaine and
handed it to hang Mat Adam Paige and he used
that chain to choke out John Moxley from the top rope,
and John Moxley was like struggling, holding on for dear life. Yeah,
he really sold the shit out of this to the
point where he had no other choice, no all the
alternative but to tap out and hang man. Adam Page

(23:28):
wins the AEW World Championship for the second.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Time, and what a moment it was to be there
to do it at that event in the stadium like that,
And yeah, pretty much John Moxley's reign of terror is over.
Where he had held that title hostage, not showing it
off to the fans for such a long time. Finally, Hangman,

(23:57):
Adam Page reveals the belt to the whole entire crowd,
and yeah, it was a great moment.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Great moment, one of the highlights of the whole show,
possibly the highlight of the whole show, just when you
see him crying after the match is over, and then
he takes the belt out of the briefcase and then
you see him like hold it and like show it
to the world for the first time since last October.
It's crazy. It's all as Brian Danielson's name on the belt.
Oh wow, that's how long it hasn't been seen. And

(24:23):
he had the show closed with him holding up the title.
Very emotional fireworks and yes, work just like smiled after
the matches over at Hagman. But you know, even though
we helped him out, they're probably going to cross paths again.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Sooner or later.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
True, they've been. They've been making a lot of memes
on that photo of sort of strickling looking back outside
of the ring.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Yeah, but this match ended exactly the way it needed to.
Like say what you want about the death match itself,
I know those kind of matches aren't for everybody, but
the match itself and the outcome it played out exactly
the way it should. So yes, A w AND was
a success. It was a good show, maybe two damn
long for everybody's taste, mine included, but the show is

(25:06):
still delivered in the end and that's what counts. So
that night we also had an addition of Saturday night's
main event taking place for my old nick of the
Woods of Atlanta, Georgia, and this show featured a match
between Randy Orton with Jelly Roll in his corner against
Drew McIntyre with the douchebag fuck Logan Paul in his corner.

(25:29):
Yeah yeah, yeah, just like Lex Luthor, if you go
through life and like you see the antics of Logan Paul,
you still take his side and still support him. Yeah,
you need to check some of your moral values, but
that's another story. So yes, we had the match and
then Randy Ordan ended up winning with the RKO. But
then after the match, Logan Paul attacked Randy Orton and
Jelly Roll not down Logan Paul, but as he was

(25:51):
trying to help Randy Jordan up and check on him,
Drew McIntyre laid him out with a Claymore kick.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
I saw that that was just yeah, I know, I.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Guess Drew mack inside doesn't like country music.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Right, you know, it's funny with the involvement of jelly Roll,
which we will get it more into it. You know,
later on my girlfriend's cousin because you know, my girlfriend
likes country and so her cousin and her wife and
they kind of like, well took notice of, you know,

(26:25):
jelly roll involvement and they're kind of considering, you know.
She ASTs her was like, you know, should we watch
this because of the Jelly Roll? And I was saying
to myself, you know, like why they do stuff like this?
And you know, my girlfriend, Samantha's asking me, you know,
you know, why do they do stuff like that? But
the whole point of it, and I, you know, I
told her, I was like, well, it's all it is

(26:47):
is just a way to get you know, publicity as
a company in order to way to get attention, to
get more like newer fans, because they've been doing that
for years, even before we were born. Where you'll get
a celebrity involved in wrestling where you're going to get
attention from fans of that celebrity who are not fans

(27:11):
of wrestling. They're gonna be interested and want to watch
your product. That's the whole point of it.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
And what happened later that night it was revealed that
at SummerSlam is going to be a tag team match
with Drew McIntyre and Paul taking on Randy Jordan and
Jelly Browl. And you know, props of Jelly Browl, he
lost like over one hundred pounds.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Apparently that's good. I'm happy for him. I kind of
do feel bad a little bit for Jim McIntyre, like
I'm not gonna lie, Like I get it that he's
involved with you know, he's with Randy orton the top.
You know, a legend that he is, though, but it's
kind of weird that he's involved in the storyline a
little bit because you go back to last year he
was in that awesome, amazing few to see him punk

(27:51):
and now you fast forward a year later, now it's this.
You kind of were hoping that, expecting better things from him.

Speaker 1 (28:01):
Yeah, I understand it's kind of a weird match for
him to be in, like a celebrity match, but yeah,
it's still a big attraction for SummerSlam. Apparently it was
supposed to be Travis Scott originally in this spot they
were going to do like a tag match with him
and Bad Bunny. But I'm not really sad that he's
not going to be on the show.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
No, I was hearing that he's not a like he
was like kind of he was kind of getting trained though,
but I was hearing that he's not making progress. He's
not a fast learner. Yeah, no progress. He's not a
fast not a quick learner. And also as for Bad Bunny,
you gotta remember Bad Bunny just started his Red and
Sea tour in Puerto Rico, so yeah, the chances of
him being there were kind of like h now.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Yeah, apparently Jelly Roll has been working at the performance
that are every day. He's been working with like Undertaker,
He's been working with like other legends to get in shape. Yeah,
more power to him. So and that's why I look
forward to seeing how the match turns out. But yeah,
and also on Saturday Night's main event, he had Solo
Socola successfully defend his newly won United States title against
his own brother Jimmy Usso I gotta say the United

(29:02):
States title looks nice on him.

Speaker 3 (29:05):
Yeah, Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. Yeah, he needs that
bell man, and I was happy for him. He deserve it. Yeah,
the bell looks good on him.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
So that happened, and then in an unfortunate incident that
took place on the show, we had a match between
Seth Rollins and the La Knight and as Seth Rollins
was doing a moon salt from the ropes, he was
kind of do like a springboard moon salt, but as
he landed, he landed awkwardly on his knee and then
you could see him like clutching it in to the
point where we had to sit in the corner and
the referee had to check on him, and the referee,

(29:34):
Jessica Carr even had to tell La Night to get back,
and like Seth Rollins is also being checked on by
Paul Hayman. You could see like there was like a
very concerned look on the faces of all of them.
And then the match ultimately ended randomly with La Knight
laying out Rolins with the blunt force trauma for the win,
and there was footage of Seth Rollins like getting helped
out afterwards. That kind of came out on buy and

(29:55):
he could definitely tell he was frustrated and he knew
that he was hurt.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Legit, this was not good. This was the one that
just broke me down because of where he is at
right now. He is well, still is, but he has
the money in the bank contract and this happens. Man,
this is I've kind of lost count how many times
he's been hurt. Now, this is what the fourth or

(30:21):
fifth time now.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
And the last year he's been hurt like a like
once like twice, because I remember after WrestleMania last year
he was out with ane injury for a while. Then
he came back and apparently he rushed his return so
he got like taken out by Bronson with all those
tsunamis and he was out for longer.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Yeah, and now he's out with this injury, and yeah,
it sucks.

Speaker 3 (30:42):
Man.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Like a Top Q on raw, he's like the leader
of the Top Quo faction on Raw. He was probably
gonna be in a match of SummerSlam, probably major plans
over the next few months. And like the way now,
although there's been no announcement of how long it's going
to be out for, it does not look.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
They said four to five months.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
Well, he was on that show yesterday. He did that
show yesterday where you talked about how he was getting
a check. Yeah, he was going on that show talking
about I went to get his knee checked out in
Alabama on Monday, but he was too swollen to get
like a full diagnosis. So they're going to check it
out again soon to see exactly what the problem is.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
But he just said it doesn't look like he's going
to be around for a while.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
He said, it's like likely he's going to be out
for a significant amount of time.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
Dang, Let's just hope that the rumors were true. That
what I heard the first time the other day, four
to five months. That means at the end of the year,
which means he will be back in time for the
Roy rumble, you know, leading up to rustle Mania. But
if it's longer, oh man, this is not good.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
And some people have even been saying that this might
be maybe your work or maybe like just something they're
playing up for him to possibly cash in the money
in the bank, where like nobody sees it coming, because
there was there was apparently some story a few days
ago that there was gonna be an angle like this
taking plays during the match, like.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
What we saw with Rolin's being hurt.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
And then it was funny that Paul Hayman said that
how long Rolin is going to be out for is
irrelevant because he has a year to catch in the briefcase.
So that was kind of a tease to something a
little bit. That was kind of like weird that he
would say that, But from all accounts, just the way
it looked and the way it played out, it looked real,
Like I can't find any reason to think that it
was not real.

Speaker 3 (32:24):
And look in seth Rawlins as great as he is,
he has a resume a track record of getting hurt.
You go back to ten years ago leading up the
Survivor series where he was the current champion. He was
supposed to have a match against Roman Reigns. With what happened.
He gets injured during the house show. He gets hurt

(32:46):
in twenty seventeen, like during his funeral triple age. I
was actually surprised that he still made it to russell
Mania that year.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Yeah me too.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
I was, Yeah, I was like, oh my god, he's
going to miss it. But by ace of the wrestling gods,
he was able to make it then when you got
hurt again, was a twenty not twenty twenty eighteen or
something like that.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
No, that twenty seventeen injuries like the last significant injury
he had that kept him out for like a significant
amount of time up until the injury last year.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
Then I remember like sawing a highlight of you had
a match against General Mahal and you did that same
spremeboard moon salt. That was last year. That was last year,
last year. Okay, oh that was last year, right, the
third time then yeah.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Well fourth, fourth, fourth, Wow. But it's been.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
Happening a lot like in the last year or so,
so that's what really makes it shitty. And just the
timing of it really makes it shitty. Like right before
so time first live Morgan gets hurt. Now this happens. Yeah,
like this is really throwing a monkey bench in the Yeah,
a lot of plans, yep, But yeah, I'm hoping that
he gets back on his feet soon. I'm wishing him

(34:02):
a speedy recovery. And yeah, this really sucks that it's
had to happen like now of all times, right now,
just bad timing, very bad timing. But in the main
events of Saturday, night's main event we had for the
World Heavyweight Championship going third defending his title against Goldberg
in his retirement.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Match in his hometown and his.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. And I like how they got
the old security guard from WCW to come out with.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Him to do his entrance.

Speaker 3 (34:30):
Yeah, that was good.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Also, his son was with him, like all of it.
Ernest Miller was there too. Ernest the Cat Miller was
also there.

Speaker 3 (34:36):
Oh yeah, the Cap Miller. I was like, I know that, dude.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
Yeah, And believe it or not, this was Goldberg's longest
match since his match with Triple Ah at Unforgiven two
thousand and three.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
Went over ten minutes. Yes, yeah, it was fourteen minutes.
But I have to say he looks fine. I have
to be honest, Like people were saying that this match
was gonna suck, this match have been short, but I'll
be honest. In the time that it lasted, Goldberg look fine.
I didn't think he embarrassed himself. I didn't think he
looked like out of place. I think he delivered and
did what he needed to do.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
And also give a big shout out to Gunther for
the role he played in making this match as good
as it was too.

Speaker 3 (35:16):
Yep. Yeah, I mean, look, we knew what was gonna happen.
We picked goon Thro to win. There was no way
in the world that Gunther was going to drop the
title to Goldberg just because his retirement match, you know.
But yeah, Gunther gets to win, and then Goldberg has
a heartfelt speech with the fans, but NBC cuts off

(35:45):
pretty much the majority of his speech, majority of it.
They only played thirty seconds of it. Thirty sec. Yeah,
I was like, majority, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
So basically they played like thirty seconds of the speech
and it went off the air, but the entire speech
was on w W dot com, which I watched online
a couple of days later.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
It was a very good speech. He talked about, you know, being.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
A good person and treating others with respect and treating
other people the way you want to be treated. And
you know, he thanked his wife, he like thanked everybody
that was in the ring, all the people.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Who helped him along the way, and then Cody Rhodes
also came out and gave him a shout out at
the end.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Tu.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
So that was cool.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
And yeah, like I said, I thought the match overall
was fine. That point where Goldberg accidentally spirit Charles Robertson
was crazy. That's like the dude, second time in less
than a month of Charles Robertson gets ruffed up like that.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
He's first John Zena. Now there, of all people, you
get ruffed off by Goldberg. Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
It actually reminded me of the time where Goldberg accidentally
spired him in two thousand and three, during that few
with Jericho, when Jericho put him in the way.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
Yeah, fum, I remember that was funny. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
I don't like to remember a lot of Goldberg's two
thousand and three run, but that.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Was a highlight for me.

Speaker 3 (37:01):
Anyway though. Yeah, yeah, yeah, his speech he got cut off,
and you know who did it, his enemy, his mortal enemy,
Brett Hart, your goat was the one who cut the
Oh shit, yeah, Brett Harber. Bred Hart was going off
on Goldberg.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
I think he said something in an interview recently where
like it's a good thing Goldberg's retiring because like you're
just not safe when you're in the ring with them,
The referees not safe, the other performers not safe. Even
the person serving popcorn has to watch themselves when Goldberg's
in a match.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Wow, tough words, man, What about the cotton candy guy
and anybody into concession stams. It's anybody, even the people
who are in the stands selling the food. And yeah,
you just gotta be careful man.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Yeah, and Goldberg apparently went off. Actually no, Goldberg did
go off about this in an interview a few days later,
where he talked about how he was disappointed with the
way is What's Tyban match came out and he was
kind of disappointed that, you know, it was put on
Saturday Nights made event as opposed to an actual pl
And he didn't blame WW directly for like them cutting
off his speech, you know, like after just thirty seconds,

(38:12):
but he did say overall like he was not happy
with how everything turned out.

Speaker 3 (38:16):
Look for him to say that, and I heard an
interview from somebody who was talking about that, like he
should not be complaining.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Oh, Peter Rosenberg. Peter Rosenberg went off, yah, and he.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Had yeah, and he what he said was on point,
and he was speaking facts. You at your age where
you cannot wrestle at a high level, goother pretty much
carried you in that match. He you know, he was
being a ring general. That's why he's called the ring general,

(38:48):
and he led that match as he was supposed to. Also,
the match lasted pretty long then your usual usual rate,
so you should be thankful for that. Also, you should
be thankful for the fact that in the position that
you're in, you're in a world title match in your hometown,
in your paraell match. Also, you were able to have

(39:13):
a Farerell speech. So I don't know why you're complaining
that you sucked how the way things went. I just
I don't understand a lot of what he said.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
I can understand him being upset about the speech being cut,
which was in the ww's fault, and maybe they.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
Could have structured it.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
Maybe they could have structured the show a little bit
where he would have had some time to speak, like
while the show was still on the air. But yeah, Yo,
they gave him a retirement match in his hometown, a
world heavyweight title match against against one of the top
guys in the company. And yeah, I granted it's not
a pl but yo, they gave him a lot. They
really did give him a lot for his retirement match.

(39:50):
And yeah, it's kind of odd that he's still, you know,
not pleased with how it came out.

Speaker 3 (39:55):
And it wasn't like the match wasn't even close to short.
They gave you a very decent long match, the longest
you've ever been in. So I don't know why you're complaining.
And then also as far as the speech being cut down,
you gotta remember he's on NBC. No, I'm sorry, this
is on NBC. Like, they do not play around when

(40:18):
when that whatever show ends on that time slot, it
ends and they cut it off and they move on
to the next It's NBC for goodness six. This is
not USA Network or freaking you know, sci fi or whatever. Yeah,
it's NBC for goodness six. It's the name speaks for itself.

(40:39):
Is like one of the most popular channels in this
country for goodness six, you know what I mean. So, yeah,
they don't play around.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Yeah, it's uh just strange because yeah, he had those
people in the ring with him.

Speaker 3 (40:53):
He gave that nice speech at the end. Yeah, your
whole family, and he's still mad. Yeah you're saying like
you didn't like how the way you went out, like bro,
Like they literally just that's a lot to give you.
And then you gotta remember not a lot of rut.
They don't usually do that for most wrestlers, you know

(41:13):
what I mean, it's very that's a given.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Yeah, I know he was upset for the last few
years because Vince McMahon they never gave him the Popper
retirement match that he wanted. But he finally got it
here and Grant could have been on a po but whatever,
it was still on a Saturday Nights made a men
special in his hometown in a main event match, and yeah,
the dude's still finding reasons to be upset about it.
Oh yeah, he said he's going to go into more

(41:37):
detail about it in two weeks when he's allowed to,
which I look.

Speaker 3 (41:40):
For in two weeks.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
Yeah, he said something about that, about how like in
two weeks we'll be able to go into more detail
about this. But yeah, just the way he's coming off here, Yeah,
it's kind of a letdown.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
I'm not gonna lie it.

Speaker 3 (41:51):
I don't care what his excuse is, the fact that
you're complaining about, like, come on, be more grateful, man,
Come on Championship match, hometown farewell match on Saturday Night's
main event NBC, and goom. You should be thinking goon
through a lot because pretty much gooon thro was kind
of like leading the way and just you know, taking

(42:16):
the lead and longer than your usual matches and you're complaining.

Speaker 1 (42:22):
There's just yeah, it kind of reminds me of some
of those like you know, entitled and grateful girlfriends, where
if you do like ten different things for them, they'll
complain about.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
The one thing you didn't do.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
Nitpicking.

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Yeah, exactly, nitpicking.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
Yea.

Speaker 1 (42:36):
Now, I still got love for Goldberg, It's nothing to
that degree, but I am disappointed that, you know, he
came out with these comments, like after he got so
much from this retirement that most other wrestlers don't get.
And also he was given so much through wrestling, like
without like being very experienced and whatnot, and like became
one of the biggest stars in such a little amount
of time. He was given so much from wrestling, And yeah,

(42:59):
he still has these reasons to complain.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
Not a lot of wrestlers are given that treatment. And
I don't ever recall hearing certain wrestlers, not just the men,
but the women also. I've never heard them complain that
how they're farewell whatever, you know, how it went.

Speaker 1 (43:17):
Come on, yeah, but what are you gonna do? So
that was Saturday night's main event. It was another glorified
house show. Other than the Goldberg going through match, there
wasn't really anything as far as like match wise that
was like, you know, something you need to go out
of your way to watch. But overall, yeah, it was
fine for what it was. But sadly, besides the Goldberg match,
the main thing that we talked about from this show

(43:38):
was the seth rollins injury.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
Yeah, I told you that was the like, this is
the bit sweet part of it. I mean there's this
you know, aw was going through injuries and now this happens.
You just unexpected, completely unexpect expected what happened.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Yeah, very sad. But what was not sad was what
we got the next day as Sunday Night. Also from
my old neck of the woods in Atlanta, Georgia and
the State Farm Arena, we had wwe second ever all
women show, Evolution. Yes, and despite going head to head
with Beyonce's Cowboy Carter concert right next door at the
Mercedes Benz Stadium, they still put on a good ass

(44:17):
show that everybody in that audience was into from start
to finish.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Yeah, and boy delivered. And look, it's funny how we
talked about like, man, I don't know if they're going
to have enough fans over there, and this is that,
and you know the fact that I don't know, man,
I just this event delivered and to the point where
a lot of people are speculating that this is the

(44:45):
best PL this year and moving forward they should probably
have you know, they should make evolution in the early event.
And I agree.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
Yeah, this was.

Speaker 1 (44:55):
By far the best PL of the year and definitely
the best PL elimination chamber.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (45:02):
Just everything on the show was good or great, and
the crowd, even if the crowd wasn't you know, over
ten thousand and whatnot, apparently it was eight thousand, five hundred,
but the crowd was into everything from start to finish.
They cheered for everyone, they reacted to everyone, they reacted
to everything.

Speaker 2 (45:18):
Yeah, this crowd was incredible.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
Yeah, very incredible, just from start to finish. Just the matches.
The match was just amazing from start to finish. You know,
you had let me start off with the triple threat
for the women's ICEE title between Becky lynch Lylavi Vakira,
and Bailey That wow.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Yeah, great opening match. These women really pulled out all
the stops. There was this one point where there was
this one point where Libra hit a Fisherman soom plex
on to Becky and then Bailey hit over the top
of elbow, dropt like right in her.

Speaker 3 (45:50):
Good oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
And then and then Lyra.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Hit Becky and Bailey on the back of the head
with a leg drop at one point where they were
like tied up with each other. But the Yeah, this
match is like very all over the place. It could
have really gone either way, but like I predicted, like
many people predicted, Becky came out with the win as
Bailey hit Libra with the rose plant for right as
she was like tied up with Lyra, Becky got Bailey

(46:16):
trapped in a backslide and that's how she got the
pin and retained her championship.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
And your incredible opening match, credible triple thread.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:27):
Yeah, So we had that, and moving on to the
second match for the NXT Women's Championship, we had j C.
Jane defending the title against Jordan Grace.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
Oh this one right here, just like what just happened
in this match? Man, it was just man, you felt
like the Oswards was stacked against jac Jane in this match.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
Yeah, and Blake Monroe was in Jordan Grace's corner after
they had that little girl spot day a few days prior.
And then there was one point where the referee was
distracted and Blake Monroe had the belt in her hand
outside the ring, and then Jordan Grace went off the
ropes and.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
Then as I kind of predicted.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
Blake Monroe hit Jordan Grace with the title and that
allowed and that allowed jac Jane to retain.

Speaker 3 (47:18):
I saw that. I was like, whoa, what just happened here? Man,
Like that was unexpected.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
And then Blake Monroe handed the belt to kind of
JC Jane in a way, but then walked away because
it kind of made me seem like she was going
to join forces with her. But from how she walked away,
it looks like she's gonna be doing her own thing,
which is fine with me.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
Yeah, yeah, respect.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
Yeah, So now she's gonna have a few with Jordan Grace.
I could see definitely being a good look. It could
definitely be a few they get a lot out of
while they're still in the next And yeah, Blake Monroe
coming off of that hot one, she had an awso
like looking like she's gonna be doing just.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
As well in ww.

Speaker 1 (47:56):
And in our third match for the women's tag team
titles we had. The champions were called Riguez and Roxanne
Perez defending against Kabooki Warriors, sol Ruka and Zariya and
the team of Charlotte Flayer and Alexa Bliss, who both
got a great reaction when they came out.

Speaker 3 (48:14):
Yeah. I saw that and I heard that throughout the
night they were getting a great reaction. I was like, oh,
this is the first so but hey, this was a
I wouldn't say not an odd pairing though, but just
this Mainly, when you see Charlotte Flair in attack team,
that is something that's like not down her alley She's
always doing on a singles run and it's just her

(48:34):
nobody else.

Speaker 1 (48:36):
Yeah, this is the first time I've seen her get
a reaction like this in a long time. It could
be because of the team with Alexa Blizz. It's like
bringing out like a new side of her character. And
it's also like that Player's Tribune article she was in
a couple of days ago, I might have gotten her
more fan sympathy, but yeah, she got a great reaction
and it was nice. She had her ninety three year
old grandma. Actually at the show, she showed a picture
of her grandma in the audience, like later on that

(48:59):
was good. Yeah, but this match was fun. It only
lasted about ten minutes, but this match was definitely like chaos,
but fun chaos. There was one point where Raquel Rodriguez
power bomb Alexa Bliss over the top rope onto the
Kabuki Warriors.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
Wow, and it's funny.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
I noticed for kel Rodriguez like working more with like
power moves and like working like more as like a
big woman as opposed to like kind of the way
she was working before, because Kevin Nash actually kind of
criticized her in an interview recently talking about how like
she doesn't work like a big woman.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
It isn't like it was power moves.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
And she even set herself that if Kevin Nash was
criticizing me on these things, and I should take that
criticism seriously. And it looked like she's implementing it into
her new style and it's working off well so far.
That's good, And that ultimately led to her hitting so
Ruka with the Tahana bomb to get the win for
her in Roxanne Perez and they keep the tag team titles.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
As we predicted. Look, Raquel and Roxanne present needed to
keep those titles. You need to build a chemistry between
us two while Liv mork And is gone.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
Yeah, and the way they've been playing off of each
other so far has been pretty good. Roxanne's been a
great antagonist in the sense of like putting up that
funeral picture for Live and lastly doing things to try
to take Liv's place.

Speaker 2 (50:18):
Yeah, it's been mad funny.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
So yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing how they played
this out over the next few months until Live gets back.
And yes, keeping them with the titles was the smart
move because they got.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
To progress that story further exactly.

Speaker 1 (50:31):
And in one of the marquee matches on the show
we had for the Women's Championship, Tiffany Stratton defending her
Women's title against the Hall of Famer Tris Stratus.

Speaker 3 (50:39):
Woo, what do you thought about Tris Stratus's outfit? Loved it.

Speaker 1 (50:43):
Trist Stratus always slays with those outfits, always, even at
this stage, She's always slaying with her damn outfits.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
But this is a very good match. I like this one.
It was good.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
I wouldn't call it great, but it was good. It
was actually short. I think it might have been the
shortest match.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
In the show.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
Oh okay, we're talking about like yeah, even Tris Stratus
said herself like an interview is like, you know, promoting evolution,
that she would have liked to have been giving more
of a notice for this match and like giving more
time to prepare for it and build a story.

Speaker 1 (51:12):
But it is what it is. But yeah, despite those limitations,
they made the most of it. The match was fined
for what it was, and Tiffany Stratton ultimately hit the
Alabama Slam on the Trish, followed by the World's Prettiest
Moon Salt to retain her title.

Speaker 3 (51:32):
At one point, when trist Stratus the statisfaction, you kind
of like, oh my god, is this gonna do it?
And that crowd felt it. But no, I remember when
you near fall on that one.

Speaker 2 (51:42):
There's no way she was winning this match. There was
no way in hell.

Speaker 3 (51:45):
Oh no, no, no, of course, not no, no.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
And yo, Tiffany Stratton got her good with that moon Salt.
She got her like right in the face.

Speaker 3 (51:53):
Oh yeah, like mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (51:59):
But yeah, after the mattress like jumped on the ropes
and put her hand up and kind of like, you know,
gave the poses to the audience before she walked out,
kind of like maybe teasing that she might not wrestle again, but.

Speaker 2 (52:10):
We all know she'll be back eventually.

Speaker 3 (52:12):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (52:14):
Yeah. So the matress fine for what it was.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
So Tiffany Stratton retains her title and she will meet
the woman that you're going to talk about in this
next match. As we had Jade Carr gil Go one
on one with Missus Money in the Bank, Naomi with
Bianca Bellair added on Saturday Nights made them at the
night before as a special guest.

Speaker 3 (52:31):
Special guest referee. Whoa was this? I missed that? I
was like, whoa, I see this one coming. But this
made things very interesting because of the history between the three.
I thought that was just the perfect pairing.

Speaker 1 (52:46):
Yeah, looked that way, Like you know, when they added
her to the match, I had a feeling like some
kind of angle was gonna happen. And although the match
was good, the match was definitely good for the time
it lasted. It was a lot of the hardcore shit
they did throughout it. It ultimately ended when Jade hit
Naomi with a chair as she was setting her up
on the top rope to put her through a table,
and then Jade hit Naomi off the top rope with

(53:07):
the jadea threw the table down below to win the match.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Love that spot. I absolutely love that spot they literally
delivered just no words could describe how great that match
was or that spot, but yeah, and that was a
great spot.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
There was one point where I think Naomi also like
slammed Jade into the side of the announced table.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
And it kind of exploded.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Oh wow, Yeah, it looked kind of weird, but yeah,
that ending to the match was dope. That pretty much
puts an end to this feud for good, because now
that Jade's beating her twice, I don't know what else
they can do with the story beyond this. And you
could tell that Jade was looking suspiciously at Bianca as
Bianca raised her hand. Mmmm, still doesn't trust her? Nope,

(53:52):
And I thought there was gonna be maybe some kind
of angle or some kind of scenario where like Bianca
was going to cost one of them the match, like
get involved in the ending. But clearly from how this
played out, Bianca was added into this match of the
referee just to get her part of the show.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
It was a good, good choice to have her though,
but it made thinks interesting because of the history between
those three.

Speaker 1 (54:13):
So yeah, yeah, but like I said, like you know,
with her being the referee, you maybe kind of expected
like something like you know with Seth Rollins when he
was the referee for the MacIntyre and from right, Yeah,
with all the history, you're kind of expecting that maybe
to build towards something for Summer Slam. But since it
looks like apparently Bionca is still hurt and not cleared
the wrestle and the fact that she didn't get physical
at all here, it's clear that yes.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
She's probably not gonna be back just yet.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
Yeah yeah, but still a good match here, nonetheless better
than the match of WrestleMania. So Jade is now headed
the Summer Slam to face Tiffany Stratton for the title.
And in our next match, we had the Women's Battle
World to decide and we will get a shot at
the women's championship of their respective brand at Clash in Paris,
and we had everybody in this match from Naya Jacks,
Nikki Bella, Stephanie Vacoor, Lash Legend, Kline Jordan who had

(54:59):
a great spot in this match where she kept herself
from getting eliminated. She like landed out the announced table.
Then she like got on her hands, like walked on
her hands to get back into the ring. Yo.

Speaker 2 (55:08):
That was great, son, that was great.

Speaker 3 (55:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:14):
But ultimately the Battle Royal came down to Nicki Bella,
Lash Legend, Naya Jax, and Stephanie Vacoor, and lash Legend
ended up eliminating Nicki Bella. Before that, Naya Jax ended
up getting eliminated, So it was down to lash Legend
and Stephanie Vacoor and to Booker T's delight, especially Record

(55:34):
hit lash Legend with the Devil's Kiss onto the apron
to eliminate her and punch your ticket to clash in
Paris for a title shot.

Speaker 3 (55:44):
Good for her, we both predicted it, and I'm so
happy for that. She needed this moment, and hey man,
her future looks very very bright.

Speaker 4 (55:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:55):
I like how Stephanie McMahon came out afterwards a congratulator
and Stephanie McMahon actually spoke to her in spe Yeah,
and then of course said that English is in her
first language, but wrestling is her first language.

Speaker 3 (56:06):
I love that quote from her, loved it me too.
Absolutely loved it. That was very deep. I loved it.

Speaker 1 (56:14):
Yeah, so this is a good look for I predicted
to win last week and came out that way, And
I look forward to seeing what she does in the
coming months and see how much more she's elevated to
that next level, just like Live has been elevated to
Pne Stratton.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
She definitely belongs in that next tool.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
I agree.

Speaker 2 (56:30):
Yes, So we're on to the.

Speaker 1 (56:31):
Main events of Evolution for the Women's World Championship, the
first time this title would be defended since WrestleMania. We
had EO Sky defending the title against Mommy herself, Real
Bloody Ripley.

Speaker 3 (56:48):
Quite possibly the best match of.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
The night, Yeah, best match of the night. Possibly, it
was the best match of the whole weekend.

Speaker 3 (56:56):
The spots that they were doing, I don't even know
where to begin. And Kurt, how about let's when the
referee got knocked down. Eel Sky was on an apron
about to do a spremeboard, you know, drop kick to
Real Ribley, but rear Ripley moves out of the way
and it hits the referee. That is the first time
where I actually saw a referee getting knocked out on
a women's match. From there. You gotta remember the referees

(57:21):
knocked out. What do they do. They take it outside
to the crowd, wrestling throughout throughout the crowd, Eel Sky
does a splash that was one of the highlights of
that match, Like he does a splash outside of Rear Ripley,
and you were just like, oh, my goodness, what more
could they do?

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Yeah, like went to the they went into the crowd.

Speaker 1 (57:42):
They were fighting in the crowd and Eo literally jumped
off a balcony and like did a cross body to
Rear from the top of it.

Speaker 2 (57:48):
Holy shit. And that man looked rough too.

Speaker 3 (57:51):
Oh I did. Oh there was no there was no
matt on the concrete. It was just playing concrete out there.
So yeah, yeah, it was crazy.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
Yeah, Alex Spot was crazy.

Speaker 1 (58:01):
And Ria at one point had the match win with
the referee was down so she couldn't do anything about it.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
And then they get back into the ring.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
Eventually Eo hits some Rio with the moon salt with
the over the moon sawt but then Rea ends up
kicking out when the referee comes back to and then
you think at this point Rio is gonna win. You
think Rio is gonna finish off EO, and then she
attempts like a top rope riptide, but then EO fights
out of it and hits her with like a Canadian

(58:29):
not a Canadian destroyer.

Speaker 3 (58:30):
I'm sorry, it was Tokyo, so oh man, I know
what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
They both like flip from the top rope onto the mat.
I keep forgetting what that move is called. But anyway, Yeah,
they fall to the mat. They're both down, and then
all of a sudden, out of nowhere, Naomi's music hits.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
Crowd went crazy when he came out, and you know
why she was there, so she cashing her money in contract,
which she did. It kind of sucks, how like you
have a match like that, with that magnitude and just
going back and forth with each other, something so beautiful
that happened to Youenos two, and then this happens.

Speaker 1 (59:16):
Yeah, and with that that move I mentioned a few
seconds ago was a Spanish flag. Yeah, Eo and Ria
like we're down on the mat from the Spanish fly.
Then Naomi comes out catches in the briefcase that's what
it's called. Yeah, makes it a triple threat match, and
then Naomi hits EO with the briefcase, she throws Ria
into the post, knocking her outside of the ring, and
then she hits a springboard moon salt onto eo to

(59:38):
pinner and win the World you Wait Championship for the
first time and win her first World championship in eight years.

Speaker 3 (59:47):
And it was a moment that she needed and because
of you know, you've said before that you know her,
you know, he's you know, on the move of retiring,
you know eventually though, but she needed this moment.

Speaker 2 (59:59):
It is.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
This is good. But man, you have a damn good
match between these two, so beautiful, and then this happens.
It's kind of similar to Roman Reigns versus brock Lesnar
from Russell mana thirty one.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
Yeah classic match where like you're anticipating who's gonna win
and then all of a sudden, the money in the
bank winner comes out to ruin it.

Speaker 5 (01:00:20):
Oh oh yeah, Like you almost hate the fact that
the cashing happened, but it was just such a well
done cash in and such a great and that show
on a cliffhanger that you can't really get mad at it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
Yeah, And look, this is why this is event is
one of the probably the best pl of the year
and look moving forward Summer Slam that you're gonna be
attendant to Kurt. They have a lot to fill in
with what just happened.

Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
That's one thing I was disappointed about was the fact
that they like schedule all these shows like so close
to SummerSlam, because now they have like such little time
to build for Summer Slam and make it such a
big deal the way you should be.

Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
You know, It's one thing that disappointed me though. I'm
I'm a bit disappointed at that triple threat between Becu Lynch, Lavakira,
and Bailey, that that match was that Evolution but not
at Summerslim. Yeah, we'll get into that in a few minutes.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
But yeah, this is a great moment for Naomi. This
is by far the biggest moment of her career. Coincidently enough,
she's in the biggest run of her career, best run
of her career, and got capped off by cashing in
the money of the Bank to win the championship at
the end of Evolution, arguably the best show of the year. Yeah,
this is something she could take with her for the
rest of her life. And this is definitely like a huge,

(01:01:39):
gigantic career highlight for her and I'm happy that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
You got this same same here and crazy you know,
like she lose that in a losing effort against Jake Cargill,
but turns around end of the night and she's the
ones on top. So good for her.

Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
Yeah, it's crazy that.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Yeah, you didn't see it coming because she was kind
of teasing it with Tiffany Stratton for the last few weeks,
so like you weren't thinking that you catch it for
EO's title and lo and behold.

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
She catches it when you least expected.

Speaker 3 (01:02:10):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Yeah, but good for her though, especially after like you know,
how her and Sasha left a couple of years ago
and how that all turned out for her to come back,
and she was kind of like still playing that same
character that she did before she left, like you know,
for a while, and so this whole like Jade storyline started,
and yeah, this Jade storyline did wonders for her career,
Like ever since that angle where you know, her and

(01:02:33):
Bianca had that like whole you know fight in the
ring where they were when she like finally confessed to
throwing Jade off of the platform and injuring her, Like
ever since then, she's like really been on a different
trajectory and it's really paid off well for her, definitely. Yeah,
So congratulations to her. Naomi is now the new women's

(01:02:53):
World champion and for the very first time ever, she
opened one of the major shows of the week to
cut a prone that being raw.

Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
And all the year she's been around, she's never once
opened either showed her to a promo no, yeah, but
then she came. Yeah, she came out, and then she
told the fans like, oh no, don't start hearing me now.

Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
You don't.

Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
You weren't feeling the glow, but I know you feel
me now, but you don't get to experience.

Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
This with me.

Speaker 3 (01:03:24):
Hey, if you weren't with me in the beginning, you
ain't gonna be with me now. And make them one
hell no And.

Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
Yeah, she was telling other women in the back to
proceed with caution or catchphras and all that, and then
Rhea comes out and tells her that you're on my list,
and then EO comes out and says that you know,
I deserve a rematch, and like just the way she
says it, Naomi just responded and says, I don't even
understand what you just said.

Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
She kind of got a little heat for that from
what I heard from her, saying that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
The audience seemed to like it, the audience responded to it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:54):
But I know the audience just you know, people on
social media kind of took me the wrong way of saying,
how like, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:03:59):
Like she's like she's supposed to say those things.

Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
Yeah, I know, I'm not agreeing with them. I'm just saying, like, yeah,
you know, that's what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:04:08):
She's telling him to get to the back of the line,
to the big big D back of the line, the
big D bag, and then all three of them start
arguing and bickering at each other until Adam Pierce comes
out to interrupt, and he comes out to announce that
Naomi will defend her newly won Women's World title at
SummerSlam against both EO and Rhea in a triple threat match.

Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
Wow. Crazy, We had a triple threat at russell Mania
just with you know, Bianca bell Aera was involved. But
now it's gonna be the same thing and it's her
rival Naomi who's in That is crazy?

Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
Yeah, crazy, they're swapping places for this, like same spot,
the same two people. I was thinking he was gonna
maybe do like an EO and real rematch on night
one and then the winner faces Naomi for the title
on night two.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
But this scenario also works.

Speaker 3 (01:04:58):
Yeah, no, no, I'm I'm perfectly okay with they're doing this.
Is this is the perfect scenario. That's like the only
option you should do. Look, you have two wrestlers that
you know, Like you said, you had a beautiful match,
and the next thing, oh boom, Naomi out of nowhere,
cash is it in? And yeah, like, this is the
perfect scenario you have to do.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
I saw a joke yesterday online saying that Naomi, like
her new character now, reminds you of Pam from Martin.

Speaker 3 (01:05:25):
Oh my god, that's funny.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
I could see it a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
I could. I could see it too a little now
and I can't. I can't get that out of my
head now. Thanks a lot, yo, But.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Yeah, I'm loving this new Naomi. I'm happy that she's
the champion now, she's gonna be in a marquee match
at SummerSlam.

Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
Yo.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
The things are really looking up for bro.

Speaker 3 (01:05:49):
Yeah, definitely, And I'm happy for it with this turn
around her character and where she's at now. And yeah,
I'm so happy for her.

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
Yeah, looking forward to seeing how that match turns out.
I know if she'll end up winning and retaining the
title in that match, but just from everything that's gone
on lately, like that match, I feel like it's anybody's
to win.

Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Oh No, I'm definitely seeing her retaining that title. She
just come off she had a great moment cashing and
you literally just cashing and you're the new women's champion.
Now she's definitely retainers that. That will be a little
bit of an insult she loses.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Yeah, but we'll see. These things have happened before.

Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
I remember it happened to Edge back in two thousand
and six, but hopefully it doesn't happen in this case.

Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
But we'll see what happens.

Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
Definitely AMP for that match at SummerSlam, and also another
match of AMP to see at SummerSlam is the match
that was decided after the outcome of this one, as
we had Bailey against Labrabaukyia in a two out of
three falls match and decide.

Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
Who beck you great match, Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
Great match, decide who Becky? Then just challenger for summerstime
for the Icy Winnen's side, it will be and yeah,
This match was very good, almost as good as the
triple threat from the night before, but it ultimately ends
did when Libra pushed out of the Cryptlo cross Base
from Bailey and then reversed it into the night Wing
to get the win and punch your ticket to Summer Slam.
And right after Becky Lynch came out wearing yellow and red,

(01:07:11):
which is funny as hell if you know the Becky
Hogan comments people have been making Bailey and then she
held the title up in front of Lyras just let
each other down. But yeah, I kind of predicted them
going back to this match eventually, even with Bailey involved
in recent weeks, and I like it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
I foxed with this.

Speaker 1 (01:07:30):
It would have been nice if they did another three way,
but since I'm doing a three way with the other
three women for Summer Slam, it wouldn't make sense to
do two of them, so I get why they went
this route.

Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
Home on damn it, where's the justice for Bailey? I
felt bad for Bailey. Damn I wanted to see a
triple threat. I just it was just going perfectly well
and just like it is what it is, though, but hey,
Lyla Rock versus Becky Lynch what part three.

Speaker 1 (01:07:56):
Hey, that's a big match and it's gonna be at
Summer Slam in a big stadium. Yeah, I'm looking forward.

Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
To it, Okay, but I just felt bad for.

Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
I do too, But Becky and Libra are still a
big match. Is still a match I'm a for. And yeah,
they've been having this view for months that still has
them been settled.

Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
So yo, it's perfect. But from this happening, I think
I see Bailey turning heels soon.

Speaker 3 (01:08:18):
Yeah, especially ever since she came back, and then you
know her and Lyle are kind of like button heads
with each other. I wouldn't be surprised if Bailey turns heels,
So yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
I could see possibly Bailey being added as the guest
referee for the match.

Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
Oh I know. Oh it's possible. It could go down
that way and then still have her involved.

Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
Yeah, and then she turns on Libra sometime throughout the match,
possibly after the match, or she ends up shooting with
Libra after Summer Slim and they extend the feud beyond that.

Speaker 3 (01:08:49):
Yeah either way. Yeah, it happened though, But yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:08:53):
Because I feel like she's gone as far as she
can go as a baby face, like in this recent
run and yeah, I feel like a character changes something
along those lines would betefit her more.

Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
It's been a while since she's been a hill. Only
been a year and a half. How does it feel
like it's been longer than that?

Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
Yeah, because they were teasing a face turn with her,
like with the whole damage control thing for a while
until eventually.

Speaker 3 (01:09:15):
Happy that's right, Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 1 (01:09:17):
Yeah, yeah, but she has, but she has n't been
a heel like yes, since the beginning of twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09:24):
Yeah, because the role they were describing her in now
is like kind of the female version of Sammy's.

Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
A Hmmm makes sense, mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
But in any event, Yes, So we have Ladlin Becky
at Summer Slam for the Icy title, and then we
also had a match between Nicky Bella and Chelsea Green
that Nicki Bella won, and then Chelsea Green's secret herbst
attacked Nicki after the match, but then Stephanie LeCour came
out to a rescue because the core had a confrontation
with Nicki I'm sorry, not with Niki, with Chelsea Green

(01:09:57):
and her crew beforehand, so she came out to make
the save and then she raised nick Nicky's hand afterwards.
So I'm smelling maybe a six woman tag possibly in
the next few weeks, possibly at SummerSlam too, okay, and
possibly maybe Bailey will be their partner or possibly somebody else.

Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
And I don't know about Bailey because like she you know,
we'll see what's gonna happen the following week on Raw
because like you're coming off that that, you know, that
bitter loss, and yeah, I don't the transition from there
to something else will be a bit weird. I do
see the potential of her being like a special guest referee.

(01:10:34):
I will not leave that out. I wouldn't mind seeing that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
No me either.

Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
That could definitely happen, but only time will tell. Also
on Robbie had that tag match with Roxanne and Rakual
against the Kabookie Warriors that they picked up the win
from thanks to interference from Dominic who kept getting on
the apron multiple times. And also Adam Pierce came up
to Dominic and told him that he's gonna have a
re evaluation about his injury next week and if he's clear,

(01:11:00):
he's going to be facing AJ for the title at SummerSlam,
and a could.

Speaker 4 (01:11:05):
Yeah, AJ was praying yeah, wow, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
I mean I always know he was kind of religious
to a degree, but them, I didn't think he was
going to actually do it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:18):
On TV for a title shot.

Speaker 3 (01:11:20):
I mean, come on, what could you do to get
a title shot? I mean he was supposed to have
a match at night, a champions dominy could have performed
because he was apparently injured. So yeah, when Maley.

Speaker 1 (01:11:32):
Was jumping around during this match interfering for Roxanne and Raquel,
it looked like he really wasn't so injured after all.

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
No. This is similar to almost twenty years ago when
Booker t was supposed to face boogey Man at Saturday
Night's main event and he made pretty much made a
story up saying how he was hurt, and Theodore Long
caught onto it and said like, there was nothing wrong
with you, so yeah, Or when.

Speaker 1 (01:11:57):
Edgend Christian had to defend the titles against the Acolytes
like a loaded two thousand, like in the weeks before,
they kept coming up with different excuses about like why
they couldn't do the match, and then the night off
they tried to come up with another excuse on Mick
Foldy caught him.

Speaker 3 (01:12:09):
Yeah, that was funny, but it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:12:14):
This was the first time where the first ninety minutes
of ROW featured all segments and matches strictly from the women.

Speaker 3 (01:12:23):
Yeah. Oh yeah, I was hearing about that. How like
that pretty much like that first hour and a half
was just dominated by the women. That was good.

Speaker 2 (01:12:31):
Yeah, three women's matches, one women's segment.

Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
The first ninety minutes of ROW was all that.

Speaker 1 (01:12:35):
And then the main event of Raw we had a
Gauntment match to decide who will face Kuntha for the
World heavyweight title at SummerSlam, which featured CM Punk, bron Breaker,
La Night, jay Uso, and Penta.

Speaker 3 (01:12:48):
Yes. Oh look, I mean I remember last week with
your prediction about like, oh like potential fradal four way
it was possible have happened maybe, but but because of
seth Ron's injury, I think they had a pivot to
this scenario and I was excited for it and amped

(01:13:11):
up for it, and it turned out to the way
that it turned out to my liking.

Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
Yes, and bron Breaker, to no surprise, was the iron
man in this match. He started it first, eliminated Penta,
then l A, Knight, then j Uso with interference from
Bronson Reid until it finally came down to him and
CM Punk and Bronson Read attempted to interfere in the
match again, but then jay Uso came out to counter
him and get him out of the ring.

Speaker 3 (01:13:40):
So it was down to Punk and.

Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Breaker, and Breaker went for a spear and so Punk
kicked him as he went for it, then hit him
out the GTS, laid him out with the GTS to
get the win. Punched his ticket to Summer Stand for
a title shot against Gunter, and he pointed to Guntu,
who was sitting in the skybox or like the luxury.

Speaker 3 (01:13:58):
Sideboks after the match. Two things Number one, Gunther looked
at one point look bored. I've been making memes about
that all day, you know, the past few days. It's funny.
Number two there's a shot of seeing Punk pointing to Guther.
Love that shot. I cannot wait for this match. Of

(01:14:20):
all the matches that they have on the card, Summer
Slam's cars looking really really good, better than last year's
in my humble opinion, but this match between seeing Punk
and Gunther for the World Headweight Championship. I am so
looking forward to this match. Kurt.

Speaker 1 (01:14:37):
It's a big match is by far the biggest match
that they can do, and I'm looking forward to it too.
But I'm just a little bun that they only have
like literally like two and a half weeks to build
for it.

Speaker 3 (01:14:47):
Oh yeah, true, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
You're right for a match like that, you need more
time for the build.

Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
I think it will continue on in the few though,
so they could you know, build you know, a little
more of a story between each other. But yes, I
think between the world title matches, between this match and
John Zena and Cody Roads. Oh, I'm definitely putting this
one over Cody Roads and John Cena without a doubt.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
Yeah, Cody Rose and Johnson are only gonna have like
one face to face segment together, which is gonna be
tomorrow night on SmackDown One.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Yeah that's That's a another reason why I had.

Speaker 1 (01:15:25):
An issue with like them, you know, squeezing these other
shows like in between like the last pl and you
know SummerSlam, like with the Saturday nights, may have been
an evolution hapending so close to SummerSlam, because yeah, Summerstam
the builds now feeling a little rush too. I think
it'll still be great considering how evolution turned out, but
for the second biggest show of the year, they needed
more time to, like, you know, tell proper stories for it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
And not only that, and then with the successive evolution,
like I said, you know a while ago, Summersons has
some big shoes fuck to fill up after what they
just did. Yeah, they do.

Speaker 1 (01:15:59):
And with Punk and going through I think they definitely
have a chance. I look forward to with their back
and forth promos are gonna be like in the next
few weeks, those are gonna be fucking fun.

Speaker 3 (01:16:08):
Yes, the fact that Punk is in this situation in
another championship match, in your marquee event of SummerSlam against
Goother of all people, I'm so looking forward to this match.
I love it. I'm so excited for the moment that
Punk was pointing up to Goother and it kind of
reminded me back to you know, back then, you know,

(01:16:31):
a long time ago, whenever the person will point up
to them and to the champion and you're just like,
oh my god, this build up is gonna be so
so good and it is. Can't wait for it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:42):
Yeah, me either.

Speaker 1 (01:16:43):
And then after the match, Punk and Jay were both
attacked again by Bronson, Reid and bron Breaker, and as
Bronson was gonna go for the tsunami, we heard the
music of Roman Reigns hit the speakers and the pop
that he got when he got out was unfucking real.

Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
He is the needle maker, relations gentleman. He is the
one that moves the company, and yeah, he deserves all
the cheers in the world because boy, he went in
there and did damage. He literally took out Bronson Reed,
he did a superman punch as soon as he got
in the ring, and he took out bron Breaker and
Paul Paul reaction was just so priceless, Oh my god,

(01:17:25):
after he literally called him out like what a week ago,
telling him how he doesn't have the balls to come
back out, and then this happens, and yeah, Roman Reigns
is back, and it like you were saying, was it
last week? It looks like it's gonna be a tag
match that was gonna be Roman Reigns and Jayuso versus
bron Breaker and Bronson reed as SummerSlam, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17:47):
That makes perfect sense. And yeah, Roman coming out was
a great cap after the show. It aat cliffhanger, oh unexpected. Yeah,
I loved how it was completely unexpected because we weren't
expecting Roman Reigns to come back because we were so focused, sorry,
we were so focused on this gauntlet match, on what
was gonna happen where we just I mean, Roman's been

(01:18:11):
gone for like, he hasn't been back since the after
Russell Mania that was back in April, you know what
I mean, So we weren't even thinking about that.

Speaker 3 (01:18:20):
We're so focused on this one thing, and then boom,
they just I love how they I just love the
the mystery behind it, how we didn't know. I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
Yeah, it was very well done.

Speaker 1 (01:18:33):
Well I kind of knew he was coming back eventually,
but yeah, just him coming back at the end.

Speaker 3 (01:18:36):
Of the show, like not now that. Yeah, not at
that moment. I mean I knew he was gonna come
back though, but like not in this scenario, in this
moment where you had so much chaos going on, you
forgot about that, you know. I love that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:50):
Yeah, it was a great way to cap off the show.
And yeah, that crowd reaction that Roman got.

Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
Was unfucking real. They o, they were.

Speaker 1 (01:18:58):
Chatting Roman Roman Rains, Roman Roman Rains.

Speaker 2 (01:19:03):
Yeah, they were losing their fucking minds.

Speaker 3 (01:19:06):
So was Paul Hamon.

Speaker 1 (01:19:08):
Yeah, no, no, Paul Hammon was shaking and shivering like
those debt collectors were after him when he was running ecw.

Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
Oh Jesus or shaking when brock Leslon went after him
after he turned on him in two thousand and two,
something like that.

Speaker 1 (01:19:32):
All right, but anyway, Yeah, so Raw was capped off
for the return of Roman Reigns. So we have Roman
Reigns back. We have the Raw Night one main beneficial
for SummerSlam. So yeah, that Summer Slam car is like
really shaping up now now coming out of Raw. We
have gonthro versus Punk for the title. We have Naomi,
Rhea and Eo in a three way for the Women's

(01:19:52):
World title. We have Becky against Labra for the women's
Inner Continental title. We're probably gonna get Raquel and Rocks
against Charlotte and Alexa. I see that happening. We're gonna
get Dominic and aj for the Interconmental title.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
Of course you have to have to. Yeah, and from
what we.

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
Saw at the end of the show, we're probably gonna
get a Roman and Jay Usso against bron Breaker and
Bronson Reid. We have Tiffany Stratton and Jay Cargill for
the women's title. We have Cody challenging John Cena for
the w W title, and we were likely gonna get
Jacob Batu challenging Solo so CoA in a rematch for
the US title.

Speaker 3 (01:20:31):
I'm all for it. I'm all for it for that one.
And also when you go back to John c and
Carry Rhodes, I predict that this match will be better
than a russell Mania match.

Speaker 2 (01:20:42):
Yeah, as long as Travis Scott stays away and they
don't have any.

Speaker 3 (01:20:45):
Other he will not be involved.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
Yeah, as long as they you know, keep it between
the two of them, although they're not gonna have much
time to build for it, considering that Ethics Steen is
only apparent Untilummer Slammers tomorrow night. So hopefully it is
a better match than one at Russell may But as
far as like the build getting there, it's looking a
little sketchy.

Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
Mm. Just one face to face. Oh yeah, for the main.

Speaker 1 (01:21:10):
Event of the second biggest show of the year after
that was the same main event of WrestleMania, and it
did not turn out well and did not get good reviews. Yeah,
that's not a positive sign, but hopefully they can change
our minds. Yeah, and also at Summer Slam. As we
mentioned earlier, we were getting the tag match including Jelly
Rolling Randy Ordon against the douchebag fucked Logan Paul and

(01:21:30):
Drew McIntyre. And Jelly Roll was hosting Jimmy Kimmel last
night and he had Randy Orten.

Speaker 3 (01:21:37):
Out there was his guest. Yeah, I saw that. And
then the Drew came out.

Speaker 1 (01:21:43):
Yeah, Drew McIntire came out and him and Randy Orton
got into a brawl. And then Logan Paul of Tuish
Shenanigans again came out and started insulting Jelly Roll and
he slapped him in the face. And then Jelly Roll
made me so happy when he did this. After he
got slapped in the face, he grabbed Logan Paul by
the throat and slammed his asked with damn table, just
like he deserved.

Speaker 3 (01:22:06):
Boy. You know what, I'm just very curious on I'm
really gonna be really be paying attention to what my
girlfriend's cousin is gonna be saying, because I have a
funny feeling that I don't know. Probably like in a
week or so, they're probably gonna access like, oh, you
know what, Jonathan, when is this event, and when is

(01:22:26):
Jelly Roll gonna wrestle and blah blah blah, And I'm like, see,
this is what they do, pull you in because you're
a country fan and you like Jelly Roll and you're
interested in what he's doing, and you're gonna yep, that's
what wrestling does.

Speaker 1 (01:22:42):
Yeah, I'm gonna be drinking lots of old fashions during
that match. Yeah, but before we get.

Speaker 3 (01:22:48):
It, we serve old fashions at a Medlke stadium. I'll
drink some.

Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
Beforehand our pregame.

Speaker 3 (01:22:54):
Oh okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:22:55):
Anyway, but yeah, before we get out of here.

Speaker 1 (01:22:57):
Pat mcafe recently opened up about, you know, why he
decided to take time away from ww and he just said, basically,
he was beat.

Speaker 2 (01:23:04):
He was exhausted.

Speaker 1 (01:23:05):
It was just to the point where, yeah, I mean
it was just to the point where like his brain
was fried and he just like knew he didn't have
the energy to you know, keep going on the schedule
that he was going on.

Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
Oh yeah, I mean it was just kind of obviously
what we've been alluding to for the past couple of weeks.
I mean, it's very obviously he was tired and then
look it's just it's a lot to do. Like, look,
you're doing you have your own ESPN show every morning,
right and then plus during college football season you're doing
you know, college game Day, plus you're doing you know,

(01:23:37):
full time you know, commentating. So yeah, that is a lot.
So yeah, definitely that's a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:23:44):
And he has a kid too, he as a family also, Yeah,
a lot on his plate. Yeah, and with college football, but.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
I think it's on Yeah, it's on the horizon. And look,
but I am thankful of the work that he did
put in though.

Speaker 1 (01:23:58):
Yeah, and Corey Graves is doing more than a great
job of you know, replacing him in the meantime. Also, wait,
Barre too, So yeah, it's ww's in good hands until
he gets back. And yo, the dude needs to rest.
The dude needs to rest. I saw some people hating
on him online saying that he can't handle the grind
and that he's a pussy for doing what he did.

Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
But yeah, the hell with that.

Speaker 3 (01:24:16):
Your no, put yourself in his shoes, exactly, put yourself
in his shoes exactly. It's not it's not as easy
as you think it's. Oh, he's just like, no, I
don't know, you actually paid attention to the other the
things that he does outside of commentating. Then yeah, it's
not that simple as it thinks.

Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Hell no it's not.

Speaker 1 (01:24:38):
But yeah, wish him well who he gets that rest
that he needs and then he comes back fresh whenever he.

Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
Does come back. But yeah, oh yeah.

that too.

Speaker 1 (01:25:39):
Recently this week we did an episode about Jim Carrey's
three hit movies from the year nineteen ninety four, that
being a Spencer, the Mask, and Dumb and Dumber. And
also Diesels three title wins that same year in ninety four,
that being the Icy title, the tag titles, and the
WWE title Crazy they happen both the same year. Crazy
all right, So yeah, in any event, yeah, it was
a crazy as weekend of wrestling, and we have another

(01:26:01):
crazy ass weekend of wrestling coming up in two weeks
at SummerSlam, which I will be there alive in person
for first time in twenty eight years. And until next
time for John Manno, this is Conscious Kurt with another
edition of Flash Champions. Take care, enjoy your weekend, and
