Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo yo, what is going on in my fellow wrestling fans.
Welcome to a brand new week and welcome to a
Night of Champions week. That is edition of what we
like to call the Clash of Champions, where we dive
head first into all the controversy, storylines, personalities, and everything
in between that center around this world we know we
love as professional wrestling for better or worse. I'm your host,

(00:23):
de Vigan. You believe in conscious Kirk aka the Professor
in the flesh as always, and my co host needs
no introduction, but the hell with it. He's gonna give
y' all one anyway.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
That's right, ladies and gentlemen. There is this TAC team partner,
Jonathan Randall, the adventure himself. Always make your life an
adventure and also make your wrestling fandom and adventure as well,
Ladies and gentlemen, because we're venturing off to Saudi Arabia
for Night a Champions coming up this Saturday, Ladies and gentlemen,
June of twenty eighth, ten am, Is that the right time?

(00:55):
Kurt ten am?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Ten am your time, one pm, my time.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
That's right, Asian gentlemen on peacock. If you're international, will
be on Netflix. But this this card is stacked going
up to this, Evan, There's been a little bit of
a controversy on if they should still have the event
in Saudi Arabia due to the political stuff that's been
going on with Trump, you know, bombing, you know, Iran

(01:22):
and all that. But apparently they're still having the event
in Saudi Arabia. So a lot of great matches on
this card, two matches I'm really looking forward to, though,
But this is what we're here for, Asian gentlemen. Our
we know our prediction show, and let's go ahead and
let's get started.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yeah, let's not waste any time. We do have Night
of Champions this Saturday, taking place from Ria Saudi Arabia.
And yes, there is a lot of controversy going around
with all the political stuff going on in the world,
and there was even arguments whether or not WW you
should put on this show. But the talent apparently he
has already flown there and they even have SmackDown taking
place there on Friday night too, so kind of in

(02:00):
a way, getting two Night of Champions for the price
of one in a sense, And apparently, from what I understand,
if WW were to cancel that show, they would lose
fifty million dollars. Oh yeah, I had a lot of
money to lose.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
That's a lot, man. But at the same time, I mean,
it's like, it's very uh, it's you're stuck in a
rock and a hard place. When you really think about it,
it's a very difficult situation. You had that whole situation
where Trump is doing and you know, the possibility of
war coming up and all that. It's very it's a
scary situation though, and it's kind of not fair if

(02:35):
I'm being quite honest.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah, I get it. But hopefully everybody there is safe.
Hopefully nothing happens like you know that incident a few
years ago when they kept the talent from leaving Saudi
Arabia after one of the Crown Jewel shows because events
got into it with the government or something, so a
lot of the talent got like stranded there for like
an extra day or so. So nothing like that happens.
Hopefully they could just go out there, do the show,

(02:59):
do what they need to do, and get the fuck
out of there.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah. Yep.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
And because of this whole situation, apparently one of the
matches on Night of Champions has been postponed. It was
revealed Monday on Raw that Dominic Mysterio and AJ Styles
for Knight of Champions will not be happening anymore because
Dominic Mysterio has an injury, and that had a lot
of people thinking that that was possibly made be a
storyline on explanation as in real life, possibly neither one

(03:27):
of them wanted to be on the show, or both
of them didn't want to be on the show because
of everything going on right now, but apparently so from
what it's come out, Dominic is legit hurt.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Yeah, man, I feel bad for the kid man. They're
not going to take the toight off of him, thank god.
You know, it's not.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
It's not like an injury where he's going to be
out for months.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
It's it's a long term. It's it's not a long
term injury, thank god. So it kind of sucks that
he has to miss a show. Look, later on, when
he comes back, they will they will do a match
between him and AJ Styles for the icy time, but
it just won't be a Night of Champions.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Or maybe if it is true that neither one of
them wanted to be on the show because of what's
going on. Maybe it doesn't suck that he's going to
miss the show either.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I mean, like you just said, you just said that
it was a legit injury that he had, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
So yeah, but like maybe deep down he didn't want
Maybe deep down, possibly he didn't want to go on.
The injury kind of happen at the right time and
gave him an out or something along those lines.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Well, I mean, he hat. Bottom line is he's hurt,
he can't know, which means he can't be on the show.
So it is what it is. Move on when he
comes back. Regardless of we're still going to see that
match between him and aj Styles, something that I don't
want to see.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
So yeah, And since that match won't be happening on
Night of Champions anymore, we do have a match that
has been added to the show. Actually, no, we have
two matches that has been added into the show. So
we'll give our predictions for those real fasts before we
get into the main matches added to the show. Monday
on Row we're gonna see Sammy's take on Carry and Cross.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Yeah, that was one of the matches that was at
it and for the past I say, a few weeks,
they've been pretty much been getting into it, going back
back and forth with each other backstage, well pretty much
after you could say, pretty much like after wrestle Mania.
You know, they they've just been going at it with
each other for a while now, So it's all going

(05:23):
to culminate, culminate that night a champions.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Yeah, Carrying Cross has been that like troll, that damn
internet troll that you can't get rid of, who just
constantly keeps talking shit to you, constantly keeps telling you
you're not good enough. And Samy's Ain and in his
I don't want to say a homeland, but a place
where he's treated like he's a hometown Heroes Saudi Arabia. Yeah,
second home, Samy's Ain is gonna whoop that ass on

(05:48):
stick a pin.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I tell you what you could call carrying across the
troll and all that stuff. But hey, that little pipe
bomb that he had on that that interview whatever podcast
that he was on, lookin what you're talking about. Yeah,
he's been getting a lot of positive feedback from the
fans ever since then. Support should I say.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, he's definitely somebody who could offer a lot, and
it's funny. This is gonna be his first pl match
since last year's WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
This is good and I'm happy for him. Look, you
know how I feel about Carrying Across. I've always been
a fan and a supporter of him, so I'm glad
that he's in this position. I'm gonna be honest with you.
I kind of sucks that sammy'se is not in the
final of the King of the Ring because I picked
him to be in a final, But it is what
it is. We'll get into that match later. But hey,

(06:45):
I'm happy that Carrying Across is in this position. I
don't know, man, if we want to take him more
seriously moving forward, right, I think Current Cross needs to
win this match, if I'm being quite honest.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I mean there's a chance he could, But I think
Sammy's gonna win because he's been trolling him too much
these last few months. And Sammy just lost the semi
final match to Randy Gordon last week, and Saudi Arabia
is kind of yeah, kind of like Saudi Arabia is
kind of his second home in a sense. He's gonna
give that crazy ass reaction when he comes out. I
think he picks up the win here, but I think
the few does continue beyond this, okay, And also added

(07:29):
to the card on Monday on Raw after a segment
that took place between these women, we do have in
a street fight, Rio Ripley going one on one with
her old nemesis, Raquel Rodriguez.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Oh this was I think. What happened this past Monday
on Rock Is completely came unexpected because Raquel Rodriguez literally
called Ria Ripley out and they get into it and
then I'm sorry, I'm look a little six here. I
got allergies, But I was not expected thing to uh,

(08:01):
Raquel Rodriguez to put Ria Ripley through the table. That
was just like whoa.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
It's not even the fact that Raquel actually put Ria
through the table, it's the fact that she had the
help of Roxanne Perez to do it. Because Rhea and
Raquel were brawling and then Ria set up the table
and was about to put Raquel through it, but then
Roxanne Perez appeared, jumped on Ria's back, and then Ria
slammed her into the top turn buckle. But then Rock,
I'm sorry, Then Raquel was able to take advantage slam

(08:28):
Real through the table and then she helped up Roxanne
and hugged her afterwards. Basically when I said last week, yeah,
what I said last week is gonna happen. It looks
like Perez is gonna replace Live, Raquel's partner. They're gonna
have the titles for a while. And I see what
happened last summer to Ria at the hands of Live,
where Live basically took everything away from her. That's gonna

(08:51):
happen to Live right now at the hands of Roxanne Perez.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I said the same thing too, you know, and you've
noticed that, Look not gonna take the tag team titles
off of them, you know what I mean. So it's
like you're not gonna have I'm sorry, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
They shouldn't take the titles off of them, because for one,
they don't have any other damn tag teams to like
really compete for it, if we're being honest from all
the people like Goal recently and whatnot. And for two,
it just seems like there's still stuff they could do
with this storyline and there's no point in that sense
taking the belts off of them.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Of course. And then look, you saw Raquel Rodriguez with
both those two titles, you know, what else can you
do with her? Well, put it with rox Emperors. And
it's kind of funny how like, you know, Raquel did
not like rox Empress at first, and then when you
saw this situation happen, you're like, oh, it's pretty much.
This is literally what I was just saying like a
week ago. They're gonna be a tag team. She's gonna

(09:49):
replace liv Morgan and they're gonna you know, kind of
coexist with each other. And because of that, I think
Roquel Rodriguez is gonna get upset over Real Ripley because
Roxanne Press is gonna interfere again.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, I think I think the same thing will happen
since they just kind of like started this whole direction
with them, and Raquel has never beaten Ria on the
main roster, so I feel like beating her in this scenario.
I think it works and I think it helps progress
the storyline further. And Ria doesn't lose anything by losing
this match.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
No, she doesn't. And this helps this this win from
Raquel with the help of Roxane Press, which will I
think will happen. This is gonna build the chemistry between
each other since they're gonna be you know potentially gonna
be taxing partners with each other because Love Morgan is gone.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Yeah, Live Morgan unfortunately will be out for the next
six months. There's a chance she could maybe still be
on TV even though she's injured. But as far as
her wrestling, yeah, it's gonna be a minute. It's gonna
be a minuted until we see her back in the
ring again.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Yeah, But I like the direction they're going with this.
In the meantime, Yeah, Raquel and Roxanne can now be
buddy buddy and have a fun tag team going on,
and then like Roxanne can still get in the good
graces of the rest of Judgment Day, possibly helping JD
and Finn regain the tag team titles on Rob Monday
against the New Day and possibly helping our Dominic in
other ways when you eventually goes against aj. So yeah,

(11:15):
I feel like, yeah, Roxanne's gonna take Lives tag team
partner away from her, her whole crew away from her,
and possibly her Chicken Tender slug boyfriend away from her too.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Yeah. Wow, crazy, How the the Tables is about to
turn in a year?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Yeah? Crazy? And it was crazy to see Raquel put
Ria through the table. The way she did on Monday,
and I think she's gonna put her through another table,
or possibly multiple tables come Saturday as she picks up
the win. So yes, I do have Raquel Rodriguez walking
out of RIOD with her hand raised, just for.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
A little moment. It's kind of weird how past couple
of weeks we've been saying again the sponsors. I can't
help with the fact looking at that slim gym logos
placid over the table, this is this is weird.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
I want to think that it's maybe a tribute to
macho man Randy Savage, but I think we all know
what the deal is.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
This is too much.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
It's all about the money.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Next thing, you are going to be putting sponsorships on
the steel chairs. Good goodness, gracious.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
I mean they do have the chairs with like the
with like the logo of whatever the event.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
It is, so well, that's different for the fans though,
you know what I mean. But I'm talking about when
you're actually in the ring somebody pulls out a steel chair.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
I like that. Me and I saw yesterday online where
the person is saying we're having company over, go pull
out the nice chairs and the nice chairs of the
Wrestlevania two thousand chairs.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Oh yeah, all right, so.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
We have Raquel winning. So let's move on to the
finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament, as it
will be Oscar, who advanced the finals last week after
defeating Alexa Blists against Jade Cargill, who advanced the finals
after defeating Roxanne Perez on Raw Monday.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
Who you got, Oh man, this is a tough one,
you know what I mean. I you saw that little
altercation between Oscar and Neo Scott backstage right?

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Actually I didn't. Yeah, I don't know why they didn't
show it when I watched Raw, like after it it
aired a few hours later. For whatever reason, I never
saw it. But yes, I saw a picture of it.
I didn't see it actually go down, but as a
feeling of the matches, that looks like and it's possible
we could still get it anyway.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
No, Oscar doesn't need it. I just saw that as
like a good opportunity. But I was like, man, Oscar
really doesn't have to like prove anything anymore, you know
what I mean. But Jake Cargill is the new is
really new and fresh. This will really be good on
her resume.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
So I'm picking Jake carg Yeah, I think Jade wins. Also.
I even said it last week the winner of the
match between her and Roxanne Perez would be the one
to win the tournament. Since Jade ended up winning that match,
I think Jay does go on to be crowned the
Queen of the Ring, and she goes on to get
a title shot at the women's champion at SummerSlam. But
I do not know for sure who that women's champion

(14:13):
will be because tomorrow night on SmackDown, we do have
a women's title last women's standing match between Tiffany Stratton
and Naya Jacks, and I have a very very very
very funny feeling that Naomi is going to cash in
and win the title.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Oh man, as much as that sounds good, I don't know.
As much as that sounds good, I you know what,
maybe possibly because if that were to happen, then we'll
set up a rematch between Naomi and Jake Cargill for
the title as SummerSlam. That is actually pretty good when
you really think about it. But man, I'm still high
on Tiffany Stratton right now.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
But anything could happen though, it could go either way,
But I would not be shocked at all. Honestly, half
of me is expecting it to happen where Naomi's gonna
cash in. I didn't get the title.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Wow, okay, all right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I love that promo she did two weeks ago where
she's like talking about the whether like boo boo the
fool to you.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
I saw it. I was like, well, damn.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Wow, I saw that.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
I was like, and even Timmy Stratton was a bit
confused about what she was saying. The look on her
face told the whole story.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
And then like once some family chanting what in the audience,
like Naomi said, bitch, you heard me?

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Yeah, yeah, she's great.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
She's killing this role. So yeah, whether whether she cashes
in this weekend or passively at SummerSlam or wherever it
does happen, I think Naomi does get that title. But
Naomi and Jade story heading into Summer Slam would be
pretty spicy, especially consider.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
The rematch rematch, and also will be for the title.
So I like the sound of it. So but we'll
see what happens though. But but we have Jay Cargill
as our twenty five Queen of Ring.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Yeah, yeah, I think twenty twenty five. King of the
Ring winner, I'm sorry, Queen of the Ring winner will
be Jade car Gill. I think she gets the crown.
It will be a great moment and it'll be a
great accolade for her to add to a resume. Yeah,
I do definitely see it. Yes, So Jade wins. Yes,
And for the United States title, a match we're getting
a lot sooner than I thought we would. We're going

(16:22):
to get Jacob Botsu defending his United States Championship against
the Weekend person impersonators Solo Solo.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
You know you're right about that because we're kind of
getting this match like too sooner than I expected though,
But yeah, look man, no offense to Solo Socoa though.
But you know, Jaco Fatu is still red hot, so
I'm picking him to retain the title.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
I think Solo is going to win the title by
cheating or some interference of some wind and they're going
to continue this few going into the summer.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
I see that, Okay, Okay, yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Because if Jacob Fatu just beats him here and here
in this match, like cleanly, fair and square, like, what
the fuck else do you want to see from this few?
Beyond that? So That's why I think Solo finds a
way to cheat or find somebody to help him win,
and he leads with the title and they extend the
few throughout the summer, leading to a blowoff at Summer Slam.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Okay, so.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Finally win his first singles title in WWE, And I
have to say I don't really buy him necessarily, like
as a main eventor the dude who's gonna beat Cody
for the title or beat Roman for the Ula Falla
and all that, but being the United States Champion, being
like in a position like that, I could see him
being in and I think it happens to you.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
I could definitely see that he needs it on his resume.
If there's nothing wrong with being a US champion, I
think in the mid card and you're still being pushed,
and that'll be a good opportunity for him.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
So yeah, and then he could sing a rendition if
I can't feel my face with the weekend and celebrate,
have a big assa party. It'll be all good. Oh god,
he got tickets, He got tickets. I forgot all about that. Yeah,
all right, but yeah, I have Solo winning the United

(18:15):
States titles. So let's get on to the King of
the Ring tournament finals. As we have Randy Orton. As
we have Randy Orton, the man who defeated Sammy Zana
the semi finals last week, which is kind of a surprise,
midtedly taking on Cody Rhodes, who defeated j Ouso in
a great match on Raw last Monday, for the crown.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Oh my god. So for the first time in many
many years for well, I could say like twenty ten,
I believe.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
But thirteen was the last time. Yeah, that was the
last time.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Okay, first time since twenty thirteen and pretty much yeah
ever since, uhir, ever since Cody's came back to the
w W since twenty twenty two. It's still the teacher
versus the student. You cannot forget about their days with
each other during the legacy during two thousand and nine,
and I said this on our Twitter pitch outside of

(19:14):
the main event, this is another This is the match.
One of the matches I'm looking forward to the most
is this is this match between these two. If I'm
Randy Orton, please do not be like the Edmonton Oilers
and reach the final two straight years and lose.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Or the two thousand and two two thousand and three
New Jersey nets or the nineteen ninety through nineteen ninety
four Buffalo bills. Yeah, he doesn't want those kind of
accolades or that kind of situation on his record.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Yeah, you don't, But I mean, at first I want to,
you know, when I first saw the matchup, I was like,
Morton needs to win it. But then I thought about
it little bit more and put potential rematch between Cody
Rhods and John Zena later down later down road. I
have Cody Roads winning this match. He will be the

(20:09):
King in the Ring.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Yeah, I think Cody Roads is your twenty twenty five
King of the Ring winner. Him and Sina obviously have
unfinished business. He just pins Sina a kiny money in
the bank and the tag match. So this is the
clearest path for him to face Sena for the title,
and that'll take place at SummerSlam. Makes perfect sense. And
Randy Orton, I don't really think he needs it per se,

(20:33):
and he already just lost to Sena at back last,
so I'm not really trying to see that match again,
especially the last time. Yeah, I was supposed to be
the last time. They marketed it as the last time ever,
so I think it stays that way, and I think
this will be a great match. I think they're both
gonna have their working shoes, but I think Cody Rhods

(20:54):
comes out of it the king. But I do think
this will plant the seeds for Randy or heel.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Turn really finally. Wow.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
You know he hasn't been at heel since twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Yeah, yeah, well now, yeah, you're right. Wow.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
And people have been clamoring for Randy Orton and Cody
Rhodes feud like ever since Cody came back, and the
best of the hell for them to have that kind
of feud would be for Randy Orton to be a heel.
So I think Cody beats him year. I think Randy
Ordon's gonna kind of be a little bitter and sour
at the fact that he lost, and that's going to
plant the seeds for him to eventually turn. I don't

(21:38):
think it's gonna necessarily happen at Night of Champions, but
I think it's gonna be a sign of things to
But I think what we see a Clash of Champions
or Night of Champions is going to be a sign
of things to come from when it does happen.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
I can see that. I've been on. I've been itching
for those two things, a fee between him and Cody
Rhods and also a he'll turn from from Randy from Randy.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
It's so yeah, even though it was cool to see
Randy Orton to meet up with Umaga's son at like
Fanatics Fest over the weekend. I don't know if you
saw that footage.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
No, I didn't.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Yeah, it was the first time, like Jumaga's son had
seen Randy Orton since he was a kid, like when
Umaga was still alive. So like he went up to
meet him at Fanatics Fest, and like he said he
would see him in the ring eventually soon. Oh wow,
potential blood Lined member down the road.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Okay, yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Yeah, But Randy Jordan is going to fall to Cody
Rhoads and lose the finals of the King of the
Ring for the second straight year.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
And oh man has that? Even that's never happened, has it?

Speaker 1 (22:41):
It was supposed to happen in ninety five, Razor Ramon
was actually supposed to go to the finals against Mabel
but he got hurt. Yeah, like the injured ribs at
the time. So then Saviovega ended up taking his place again.
I was supposed to happen that year. They were supposed
to have like Mabel beat Razor in the finals, but
since Razer was injured, they did Savi instead, and then
Mabel pin Raiser the month later in a tag match

(23:03):
at the in Your House to like build up his
momentum going against Diesel, which could have done without. But
that's another story.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Oh the Dreadful nineteen ninety.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Yeah, but yeah, the anniversary of that actually was yesterday.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
It was I know, also the anniverse for the two
thousand King of the Angles the other day.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Yeah, the one, the curd Angle one. Yeah, that was
probably the highlight of that show. That and Bubba Ray
the power bomb to road Dog through like the two
tables stacked outside the ring. That show was nasty.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Oh shoot, my bat, I thought you were going to
talk about the hardcourt evening.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Got match funk out of my face.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Pat Patterns and it was like, I need to look petite,
I need to look better than jerm Risco and.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
You know what we need to do, and you know
what we need to do. We need to change a
damn subject. So yeah, Cody Rhodes is going to be
the King of the Ring for twenty twenty five, and
he will face John Cena at SummerSlam. And speaking of
John Cena, that brings us to our main event for
the very last time, for the very last time, potentially,
we're going to get John Cena defending his ww championship

(24:16):
against the Voice of the Voiceless or, in John Cena's words,
the Voice of the TKO Stockholders CM punk.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Jeez, that pipe bomb from John Cena last week on
SmackDown just had me, well pretty much have the whole
world speechless.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
It was great, It was great.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
It was no no, no, no, I'm not saying it
was great, but it just again it just had me speechless,
just had me speechless. I was just like, well, down, wow,
crazy man.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
Under the same circumstances too, Yeah, under the same circumstances
where John Seena is in a match with our Truth
and then instead of Seena being put through a table,
Punks put through a table and then Sena just grabs
the mic he like sits on the top rope and
it just starts going off for ten minutes. I should
have known, like when the match with seen her in
Truth like ending, there was still time left in the show.

(25:17):
I'm like, Okay, something's gonna happen, But damn, I didn't
expect this shit.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
No nobody did. Nobody did, and I watched out and
heard the whole thing, and wow, I was kind of
disappointed that that punk didn't show up on RAW the
following week and pretty much say what he needed to say,
you know what I mean. But uh woh wow, maybe

(25:44):
he'll say something on Friday.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
He's probably still reeling from going through the table. You
saw him in the ring on Friday. It took him
like ten fifteen minutes just to get up.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
It was the same time, just like John Zena fourteen
years ago.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Yeah, it was kind of getting a little ridiculous after
a while because like it's like seven eight minutes later
when you're still like laying in the same spot.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Like like you would have gotten up already. Like I
get it, you got f you through the table, okay.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
But damn, But I don't know if it was Yeah,
I don't know if it was like the fact that
he was legit heard, or because he really wanted to
listen to what Sina had to say because he was
so compelled by it, so he didn't want to leave.
But damn Son.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Yeah that was some strong words by John. You know
how he is on the mic though, But this one, boy,
this one really took the cake. And you know, the
fan of me is going to cheer for Sam Punk,
you know, but with a potential, you know, John Cena

(26:45):
and Randy Orton, you know. Sorry, John Zena and Cody
Roads rematched on Horizon. Yeah, John zen isn't going to
retain the title.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
Before I get my prediction, I want to like just
point out to like the lions that like stood out
and the promo. We're seen as like, I don't hate you.
I actually like you. I like you a lot more
than anyone who's ever shared a locker room with you,
that's for sure. But I just hate this idea that
you're the best and the one thing that you're better
at than me, that you're the biggest bullshitter I've ever
met in my life. Yeah, it was weird seeing Sena

(27:14):
drop the word shit on TV. I don't think I've
ever heard him say that before, even in the Dug
Knole's days.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
Yeah, you're right, you're right about that. And he was
pretty much talking about how like TKO has he buy
the balls and.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Yeah, and then he mentions Matt Cardona, Claudio Castanoli, and
Nick Nemeth, like just randomly by name, talking about how like,
you know, punk like steps on people's next to hold
people back, and how like he's a fraud. He like
just puts on a certain act. And he said, you're
not punk anymore. You're a capitalist. And you were the

(27:50):
best in the world for seven minutes fourteen years ago.
But if after Night of Champions you still believe that
you're the best in the world, then you're really live
in a very small world after all. Damn.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
And the crazy part about this the audience cheered every
single last minute of it.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
They did. Yep.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Yeah. So even Sina said in the promo that, like
it's clear from the response that the mood is about
to change, and considering that, I think Sena needs to
turn babyface sooner than later.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Yeah, he does. And you know, at first, this whole
He'll run at first was kind of I don't know,
But then longer it gets especially now it's gotten better.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
Yeah. Admittedly, there's some segment with Sina last Friday, the
whole pipe bomb mocking it's the best thing he's done
since he's turned here. But even though it's it was dope,
even though you know he killed it in that, it's
clear that he needs to be a baby face again.
Like the sooner they turn him back babyface, the better.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
And especially with like we're in the middle of the year,
you need to go ahead and do it. And like
I said, I'm really proud of how John handled the
whole situation moving forward because look what going on going
on and on about what happened earlier this year, you know,
with the rock and that decision that he made, and

(29:21):
you know just how everything just was planned not the
right way. But look, John Zena was able to turn
it around and just make it better, especially now, well
specially with this situation that just happened with the pipeline.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Yeah, and with that being said, and just a momentum
he has right now and the fact that him and
Cody have unfinished business, I do think Sena does find
a way to retain here. I don't know if it's
gonna be because he like wins bearing Square or because
there's like a seth Rollins interference, so like Shenanigan's involving
seth Rollins. But I do think one Way or another.
Johnson at leaves Riot with the ww championship and possibly

(30:00):
be more of the people in the audience will be
behind Scena more than the behind Punk, which would be
very interesting to see.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Yeah, yep, it'll be the.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
Opposite of their match at Chicago with Money in the Bank,
where like, even though Punk was the heel technically and
Sena was the baby face, they cheered for Punk and Bootsina,
and now it's like the opposite thing.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
I mean, yeah, I mean, I mean, it wasn't a
surprise that they returned for Punk. I ain't gonna lie.
I wasn't surprised that they were churning for Punk. They
were in his hometown, you know. Now, would it been
different if they're in a different city. Probably not. I
think they still would have it would have been half
and half maybe, But that night was just one hundred
percent pro Punk because they're in his hometown. So I

(30:51):
think for this one, I mean, you're international, I think
it'll be fifty to fifty honestly.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Yeah, fair enough. I do think it'll definitely be even
more in that direction, but it'll still be a fun atmosphere.
I don't know how great the match is gonna be
but just Sina and Punk wrestling each other one last time.
I'm all here for it. And it's kind of weird
that they kind of it's kind of weird that they
kind of squeezed this in the Night of Champions and
they kind of like rushed it in a sense. But whatever,

(31:19):
at least we're getting it. That's what I'm grateful for
most of all. At least we're getting it.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Yeah. Same here. I'm expecting a good match between these two.
There's not been one time in the past where they
had a bad match for each other, especially the last
time on Raw back in twenty thirteen. You know, they
always put a great match with each other. I expecting
no less and I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Yeah, Punk, for whatever reason, just brings the best out
of everybody he works with, whether it was MJF back
in aw whether it was the few with McIntyre last
year and some of the stuff he was doing with
Rollins and now Sina and Sena's heel Turn. Yeah, he
just brings out the best in everybody he does segments with,
has matches with, and yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing
what comes out of it. Match quality wise, This Saturday.

(32:02):
Maybe Punk can pull out one last five star classic
from Sena before he retires. Anything's possible.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
I love that. I will absolutely love that between those two. Yeah. Yeah,
but one way or say top three, top three Johnsena,
the best feuds that John Zena, sorry, the top three
rivals in John Zena's career, Edge, Randy Jordon, see him Punk.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
I thought you were gonna say Renee du Prix, But yes,
that's a good top stop it.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
They had that one match and that was it.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Anyway, all right, So yeah, John Cena, I believe, will
retain the title at Night of Champions and that'll set
up John Cena and Cody for a rematch at SummerSlam.
And this will be the fourth time that we get
the same main event from WrestleMania at Summer Slam in
the same year. Yeah, two thousand and eight with Undertaker

(33:01):
and Edge two eighteen and twenty two with Roman in
Brock and this year and also not counting some of
the tag team ones that kind of resulted at SummerSlam
from the main event in Bresselmania back in the day,
like eighty eight, eighty nine, ninety one.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Yeah, but not just some main events, you know, there's
been matches like they were in the middle of the
card where they still had their rematch at SummerSlam. Oh yeah,
you forgot championship match Kern angle Eddie Guerrero. I forgot
about that. Also, how can you forget your favorite Brett
Hart own Hart ninety.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
Four TLC from two thousand, Ultimate Warrior with Rude also
from eighty nine. But I'm not just thinking more strictly
on main events, like strictly the main event, that are
the matches.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Oh all right, but in.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Any event, yes, that is Night of champions this Saturday,
one pm, Star Time. It is gonna be hard to
kind of squeeze it in because I have a busy
day on Stafady, but we'll make it work. And I
do think, yes, the King of the Ring Final and
the w W Championship match will be the two matches
to watch.

Speaker 2 (34:07):
Yes, Like I said, outside of the main event, the
men's final for the King of the Ring tournament, that
is like that's my one match ron keeping my eyes on.
I'm looking forward to because who's in it and in
the history that they had with each other. I'm talking
about rand Ne Orton Cody Roads. So I'm looking I'm
really looking forward to that matches the match that I

(34:28):
wanted to see between these two ever since Cody came
back to the WWE three years ago. So we're finally
getting it and I can't wait for it. Yes, definitely
looking forward to it. So it's going to be popping.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
And before we get out of here, I just want
to say, I'm really happy to hear that Jim Ross
is cancer from operations. Yes, with the success, the cancer
has removed from his body and he's on the road
to be go.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Yes, yes, amen, I'm so glad you hear that he's
cancer free, and I'm just yeah, this is us. Are
blessing to hear that, man, and just a long just
uh praying for the best friend moving forward that he
stays healthy and I'm so happy for him man.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Yeah, and also despite the fact that he's an asshole
and he said some of the things he said about
Jim Ross a couple of weeks ago on Twitter, I
hope that Rick Flair does make a full recovery too,
and he gets over his recent cancer diagnosis.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
Oh really that? Oh wow?

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Yeah, that's why I didn't do that this to him.
I said I was gonna do because it came out
like right afterwards that he also has like skin cancer.
So really yeah, yeah, so I realized it's probably not
a good idea to this, and like, after that kind
of news comes out, and even though the dudes an
asshole and done a lot of questionable shit over the years,
I can't. I'm not gonna you know, take pleasure and
joy and somebody having cancer being sick.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Yeah, you're right, wow man.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
Yeah, So hopefully he makes a full recovery. And that
news that came out about him this week was kind
of disturbing from like a lot of the people in
the tap area talking about how he's such a sloppy
drunk to the point where he goes to the bathroom
on himself. Oh really yeah, I saw that floating around
the other day. Oh wow, yeah, bad man. But like

(36:16):
reading with that shit aside, I sincerely hope that you know,
we recovered from this whole cancer situation.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Yeah hope, so too.

Speaker 1 (36:23):

past couple of days, the weather here in Vegas has
not really been that bad man, it's been it it
was in the eighties.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Surprisingly, it's been like in the like mid nineties, pretty
much one hundred degrees the last few days up here.
It's been cool, disgusting. Yeah, last Tuesday was the hottest
day in New York in thirteen.
