Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, yo yo, What is going on? My fellow wrestling fans.
Welcome to a brand new week, WrestleMania Week edition that is,
and welcome to another edition of what we like to
call the Clash of Champions, where we dive headfirst into
all the personalities, controversy, storylines, and everything in between that
center around this world we know in love as professional wrestling,

(00:23):
for better or worse. I'm your host, the vegan you
believe in Conscious Kurt aka the Professor aka Kurt gpt
in the Lessions always and my podcast partner needs no introduction,
but the hell with it. He's about to give y'all
one anyway.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, this is tag team partner
Jonathan Randall, the Adventure himself, and welcome to our special,
our biggest episode of the year, our prediction show for
WrestleMania Vegas, Baby Vegas, and ladies and gentlemy, it is
wrestle Mania Week, and oh my god, everywhere I go, Kurt,

(01:00):
it's been If you're on the strip or you know,
anywhere in Vegas, it's been full wrestle Mania Goalore russell
Mania has literally taken over the city of Las Vegas.
And I'm excited for it. Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
I've seen this before when I've been to WrestleManias in
the past. I like definitely could tell just from getting
to the airport that when WrestleMania comes to any city,
it takes over that whole city for the whole week.
And I'm just very pissed off and very jealous that
I'm not in Vegas right now because WW and TKO
or a bunch of greedy assholes when it comes to

(01:32):
their ticket prices. But I am looking forward to going
to watch it at the Legacy Bar in Manhattan, two
blocks away from Madison Square Garden. It's gonna be a
good time. It is wrestle Mania Week. Regardless of what
you have felt about the build up for this show
and some of the matches they have booked for the show,
it is still WrestleMania Week. It's a celebration and it's
one of my favorite weeks of the entire year. And

(01:53):
damn does it feel good to be alive?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Hey man, Try not to feel too bad because I'm
not going. Unfortunately, you know, some my other friends are
not going in and asking me, you know, I'm not
going to go fingers Cross fingers cross. I'm still hopeful
that I'll go to Raw the Roll after wrestle Mania
this upcoming Monday. But as far as like the whole vibe, man,

(02:16):
it is legit like super Bowl vibes over here. Man,
Like when the super Bowl was here a year ago.
Just it literally just took over the whole city. And
that's that vibe that I'm getting from here. There's so
much to do out here in Vegas for wrestle Mania week.
It's just unbelievable. You have the fan fest of ww
World going out at the Convention Center. I wish they

(02:40):
had that in LA when I went. You know, this
kind of sucks that they didn't have it back then, though,
but it's good that they brought it back. You have
all these wrestling guest appearances at different places. I wasn't
able to see Raymond Stereo yesterday though, but I heard
it he would be at Cricket Mobile tomorrow, so hopefully
I'll I'll get to see him tomorrow. And the plus

(03:00):
on top of that, we got we got Living Color
performing at downtown Freemont or as as me as a
Vegas local, we call it downtown. But yeah, they'll be
performing for free over there at downtown Fremont. So any
you know Vegas locals or or wrestling fans or tourists
are coming in town. Hey, there's there's an opportunity for

(03:21):
you guys to do something. So there's so much to
do out here. Man. It's just I'm very happy for
the city itself because it shows that how much this
city has grown and how much, you know, how much
of an identity Vegas is getting. Man, there's just so
much changes going on, and I'm really happy to you know,
be a part of it.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Yeah, bro, in that sense, I wish I were there too.
And damn when you mentioned Living Color performing at downtown.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
On Friday, free free, I mean me and my brother
will be there. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
I could really go for one of those tall as
tequila and pineapples right now.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
I used to love getting those when I would go downtown. Yeah.
And there's and believe it or not, there's watch parties. Man.
I think there's gonna be a watch party at the Palms. Yeah,
that's what I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
So on Saturday, I'm going to There's actually a bunch
of watch parties here in too.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
There's at least three of them. I have come across. Nice. Nice.
But you know what, despite the you know, the bill
to some people's complaint and you know, the ticket prices,
that's my only criticism that I have for this event.
Regardless of I'm still excited. I'm excited. You know. Of
course I'm over here where in my wrestle Mania thirty

(04:30):
nine cap from two years ago. So I'm over here representing,
you know, for wressell Manni week, and you know, I'm
excited and I'm ready to you know, let's get Let's
go ahead and get it started, man, because yes, so
much we got to talk about.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Well, first off, let's get into the last time WrestleMania
was in the city off Las Vegas. That was in
nineteen ninety three, and that was the subject of a
recent ww documentary that dropped on Peacock this past Friday,
the making of a spectacle documenting WrestleMania nine. And when
we talk about dog shit trash, WrestleMania's, WrestleMania nine is

(05:04):
usually the one people you mentioned, along with WrestleMania two,
WrestleMania twenty seven, WrestleMania four and five being another example,
et cetera. Nine eleven, Yeah, WrestleMania eleven wasn't great too,
also thirteen, but yeah, WrestleMania nine and many people's list
it always ranks as like the worst WrestleMania ever, the
most cheesiest cornius WrestleMania ever, with the whole toldas and

(05:27):
the whole setup and all that jazz. But I have
to say after documentary on Friday, although it's still not
a great WrestleMania by any stretch we'll get into in
a few minutes, it did have its charm to it
from the way they set it up.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I will give it that. I've saw that from the beginning,
and I had no complaints about what they did. And
I'm actually happy that they did a documentary on it
because it wasn't just about you know, it was also
about Wresselemania, the bro It's also about the city of
Las Vegas. And when I was watching this documentary, surprisingly

(06:00):
I saw our journalism professor from you and l V
in that documentary. Yeah that yeah, our sports media professor
that we took in. I think it was a spring
of twenty eighteen, I believe, or it was a fall
I think spring. Yeah. When we first read twenty eighteen,
man and yeah, he's a he's a local sports journalist

(06:23):
here in Las Vegas, and he was talking about how,
you know, what was Vegas like back then and how
they're trying to get their identity and bringing wrestle Mania
was kind of like a you know, like a big
change for the city because you got to remember at
that time, you know, Las Vegas at that time was
completely different from the Las Vegas as of now. It

(06:43):
is still you know, a boxing destination, but you got
to remember, you know, they were kind of eerie about
bringing sports teams there because of gambling issues. It was
pretty much your your your boxing hot spot and there
were no you know, the only first team that they
had over there was the UNLV baseball team. That was
the only popular thing out there. So and then of

(07:05):
course Caesar Palace was another hot spot where you have
your your great events at mainly boxing. And you look
at Vegas now on how much it's changed, you have,
I feel like you have is pretty much taken over
boxing now in Vegas. You have the Golden Knights, now,
you have the Raiders of Releegiate Stadium here, you know
what I mean. So despite how we felt about that,

(07:30):
Russell Mania and nine and I've learned a lot of
things about that event. There's a lot of behind the
scenes footage that I saw that was crazy, especially seeing
a young Undertaker out of character. That surprised the hell
out of me. It's one thing when you see Undertaker
out of character, but when you see the younger version
Undertaker at that time out of character, that's wow, Oh
my god. I was like, does he doesn't look like
the Undertaker. He looks like a normal person because of

(07:53):
the character and all that makeup protecting the character, and
I like, I kind of like seeing that. I was like, wow,
this is kind of unique to see that. But you know,
to my point where I'm trying to make look Russell
MANNI and I was not a good Mania. It put
me to sleep. The first put me to sleep. But
the one thing that I did appreciate what they did,

(08:15):
not just after watching that documentary, even before the documentary.
I love the effort they were put it into that event,
make it a spectacle. This is where the pageantry comes
in for this event, because you look at the past Russell,
you look at the prior Russell Mania's prior to nine.
There wasn't like a I mean, I mean, of course

(08:40):
it was Russell MANNI though, but it didn't have that
like that spectacle, that pageantry level like they did for nine.
They went all out because it was Caesar's Palace and
people say, oh, yeah, the togas was a bit corner.
I didn't care. I didn't care. They went all in.
And if it wasn't for Russell nine, if it wasn't
for Wresselmannia nine, you know, there wouldn't be on the

(09:03):
pageantry level, it wouldn't be like how it is now. Yeah,
that's so a good point.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Like, like I said, it's not a great WrestleMania, but
it was kind of the start of like you know,
creating a theme behind a WrestleMania, like when they go
to a specific city, they kind of follow the theme
behind that city or like you know this popular sports
team in that city, like you know what they did
last year for WrestleMania forty with like the Neon colors
for like the Philadelphia Eagles, things along those lines.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
So yeah, that aspect of it I could respect.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
I could respect the fact that they were trying something
new because they were in a different time and they
were trying to experiment with new things. So that aspect
of it I could respect, but the booking and the
way this show was put together, I'm shitting on that
until the end of time.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Of course, I mean anybody wouldn't. I mean there was
stuff that I learned, mainly about the main event that
just whoa, it has a whole, it has hand in
the people in the casinos what they're doing, and then
of course, you know, for the business. When I'm talking
about the main event, and they had a hand in
hand on what they were doing, it was a bit

(10:05):
fishy when I when I you know, when I was
watching that.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
I will admit that I have a bit of a
soft spot for this WrestleMania because this was actually the
first WrestleMania I ever watched from start to finish when
I rented it from the video store. Yes, it's like
back in ninety four, and I used to love it
when I was a kid. I used to watch it
all the time. But like obviously going back in as
an adult now I realized the dog shit that it is.
But I will say this is a great documentary, especially

(10:33):
from all the behind the scenes footage they captured of like,
you know, the whole making of the show, how they
put it all together, like showing footage of like everybody
like backstage right before they were about to go out. Yeah,
a lot of that stuff was gold. I'm so happy
they released this, and I'm just wondering whatever the footage
they have that they haven't released yet that we might
get on future documentaries.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Loved it. I loved it. I loved how they have
a vault for a lot of things and they went back.
I mean, look, we could talk about the event now
how bad it was, but you got to respect the
you know, I respect behind the scenes, and I respect
the effort that they put in and making it show
an attraction. That's you know pretty much. What really oh man,

(11:15):
it was really crazy is when one of the executives
still had like the paperwork for the you know, for
the you know, the prices on the tickets and a
seating that I'm always interested about stuff like that, And
it just blows me away how much tickets were back
then for that event compared to now, yep, like your

(11:38):
floor seats, Kurt, your floor seats at that Russell MANNY
nine was two fifty.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
That's insane, that is freaking insane.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
And your cheapest, your starting price, Kurt was only twenty
five dollars that compared to now. And it's not even
like like now, Like I told you just before, when
I went to WrestleMania thirty nine in LA with my brother, right,

(12:09):
for those two nights that we went, we only paid
two point fifty that was for both nights. Kurt.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Yeah, it's crazy how much that aspect of this has changed.
It's also crazy to see how much Vegas has changed
since that last WrestleMania that was there.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Yeah, say how this Wrestleman Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
And the Caesar's Palace parking lot.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah, and it's crazy that's where that parking lot sat.
Now it's remodeled and gotten bigger. Caesar's Palace now.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Yeah, I used to I used to work at the
cheesecake factory in the Caesars Palace mall.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
I used to pass by it every day and I
would just say to myself, they had WrestleMania nine here. Yeah,
I know, man, but it's so crazy, like, yeah, they
were like in this old transitional period at the time
where they were trying to kind of like move on
from like the Hogan era and the people from that era.
They were trying to center around new people like Bread Yokozuna,

(13:04):
Sean Razor, the Undertaker, and yeah, I always maintained that
ninety two and ninety three were like two of the
most drastic years in WW, where you like, you really
saw so much change from like new people coming in,
old people coming out. Yeah, it's crazy how much changed
in those two years. Yeah, yeah, this is this WrestleMania

(13:25):
was kind of like in the middle of that, to
the point where like most of the people who were
on WrestleMania eight were not on WrestleMania nine.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Nope.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
And one of those people who was almost not gonna
be on this WrestleMania until they kind of had a
need to sell more tickets was Hulk Hogan, who had
been gone from WW since WrestleMania eight, and he kind
of seemed like he was semi retired. He was going
to make the cult classic Mister Nanny, but then, according
to him, he didn't like the Okay go on. But

(13:58):
according to him, to get with a grain of salt,
that he didn't like the whole process of making movies.
He didn't like waking up at five in the morning
to get in makeup and you know, be there for
like twelve thirteen hours a day. In other words, his
movie sucks, so we needed to go back to wrestling
in order to still stay relevant.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Right in any event.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
So yeah, in the middle of the bill for WrestleMania,
like in February of ninety three, Whole Cogan comes back.
And this is like around the time they do the
angle where Dbasse and irs like hit Beefcake in the
face with the briefcase, and then Hogan comes back to
be Beefcake's partner to challenge money into the tag team titles.
So Brett Hart's kind of told, like in the middle
of this that, like, Hogan's not going to be in

(14:39):
the title picture. Hogan's just coming back to like, you know,
promote a movie, to just be around to help cell tickets,
but he's not gonna be in the championship picture. So
Brett kind of feels like everything's cool that his spot
isn't being threatened. And then we fast forward to the
weekend of the show and Brett Hart is told by
Vince Pickmann that he was going to lose the ww

(15:01):
title to Yokozuna just for Whole Cogan to come in
and win the belt three minutes later.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Yeah, one of the is to this day is still
considered one of the worst endings of WrestleMania because of
that decision.

Speaker 1 (15:15):
And oh yeah, and it's so funny Brett Hart. Brett
Hart actually didn't tell this story in the documentary. They
did interview him for this, he didn't tell the story
of the fact that he was always cool with Hogan
up until WrestleMania eight, even like like a goodbye drawing
for Hogan that he had all the wrestlers signed before
he left. And then when Hogan came back for WrestleMania nine,

(15:35):
like after Brett hadn't seen him in a year, Brett
tries to say hi to him, and then Hogan would
barely acknowledge him.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
M yeah, it goes to pretty much with that decision.
You know, it goes back to what I was tuned
earlier about. It's kind of like the business and then
you know, the the you know, the people up in
Caesars in Vegas, whoever. He kind of like had a

(16:01):
hand and how this whole thing was going to play
out because prior to all this, you know, go back
to the tickets, so they really wasn't really selling that
much because Hogan was really not on the card at
the time, and then even though he was on the card,
but he's like, oh was that it and any kind
of like business decision are kind of like, okay, we

(16:22):
got to change it up though regardless, So I didn't
like the end. The ending, man it's still to this
days was one of the worst endings of wrestling in history.
Uh it's yeah, a big, very awkward, very weird yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
And it probably wasn't just a Caesar's Palace on executives
and all that probably were like manipulated the finish you
know who probably had a hand in it too, even.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Though he doesn't want to admit it. Oh, Hogan's gone
for one year.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
He comes back for the tag team title match with
Beef kicking against Money Inc. And freaking Jimmy Hart turns
his jacket inside out with like referee stripes, the count
the one, two, three as if it counts, and then
the Hogan and Beefcacker celebrating with the titles. But then
an actual referee comes out and says, nah, that's not
how it's gonna go. And then DBS and Irs win

(17:10):
by the qualification. So that was one bad finish on
this show. And then you had that crappy ass Undertaker
and Giant Gonzales match that ended in a disqualification, but
the crowd at least got to be sent home happy
in this match because Undertaker came back after getting like
choked out with the chloro form and then he knocked
Gonzales down. But didn't make up for how bad that

(17:31):
match was.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
The only highlight of that match, Kurt was Undertaker's entrance.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Oh yeah, and he was talking about that how like
he was kind of afraid the Crow was gonna like
shit on him during the culture.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Yeah, because the Vulture during rehearsal was just acting crazy
and he's like, I don't know this is gonna work.
And then when they actually do the entrance live, the
Vulture was fine. I was like, oh, you know what
I mean, that was weird.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Maybe the Vulture knew the show was gonna suck too,
That's why I was acting up.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Oh man. Yeah, But one cool entrance.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
So I will say, besides the Undertaker's entrance, one cool
entrance was the narcissist Lex Luger.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Will be going into the Hall of Fame tomorrow night.
Congratulations to him, and you know, seeing him during that documentary, man,
he seems like so healthy and in good spirits and better,
better spirits. Now, that was I was really happy to
see him, dude, Like seeing him in good health and
good spirits. That really cheered me up, man, because I

(18:26):
always liked that guy, and you know, he's been through
a lot, and just to see him positive talking to
that documentary that that put a smile on my face.
And he's really I'm really gonna have a bigger smile
during the Hall of Fame ceremony on on Friday tomorrow.
So yeah, starting at one in the morning my time.
Oh it's gonna be crazy. Oh my god. I might

(18:51):
still be up, but still, this is too much going
on in this city, Kurt. We have SmackDown, we got
the Hall of Fame ceremony, We got Undertaker's freaking talk
show going on, dead Man's Show. Then we have the
course of russell Mania. Didn't we have the roast of WrestleMania. Geez?
Then you have We're all right after and then you

(19:12):
can't forget we have NXT Stand and Deliver at nine
point thirty am in the morning Pacific time.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Oh yeah, you also you have wallet Mania going on tonight.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Oh my god, oh yes, say oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
Samantha Samantha Urban supposed to be there performing a new song.
Oh yeah, good song and even better video if.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
You know what I'm saying. Oh yeah, I heard, Yeah,
I know everybody knows.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah damn right. But that's another story. So yeah, we
have the main event. We have Brett Hard against Yokozuna,
and like people were kind of concerned if this match
wasn't gonna draw, this match wasn't gonna like really you know,
get people to buy tickets and be interested in the show.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
But you had Macho.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Man Randy Savage right there, you had him doing commentary
for this show. You didn't think to maybe do a
Brett Hart versus Macho Man match.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
Mmm, I don't know. I mean it is it sounds
good though, that would have been better than what we got.
I don't know, because you guys saw I mean, I
don't know. I'm still okay with yok Maybe I don't know,
because Zina was.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Like, you didn't want to see Brett Hard and Macho
Man in the main event of WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
You didn't want to see that match. I did, I did,
But I'm just saying the reason why he went with
yo Kozuna.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
I don't know I guess the younger aspect of it.
I get that, but still is what it is. But
Brett Yokozuna, We're having a decent match. But then according
to Brett, Yokozuna got tired really early and he like
rushed to the finish. Yeah, and you could even tell
like mister Fuji was taking forever like to get the
salt in his hands to throw it in Bret Hart's face.
So then that happens, and then Yokozuna pins Brett wins

(20:48):
the title. And then right as Yokozuna wins the title,
Hogan comes out to protest the decision, like, you know,
throwing a little fit, throwing a temper tantrum as if
he saw like his daughter with a black through to something. Yeah,
he was losing his damn mind. But then mister Fuji
comes on the mic and says that he's gonna challenge
Hogan on Yokozuna's behalf right there and then for the championship.

(21:11):
And then Brett's like pointing at Hogan to go forward,
go forward, go forward, And I like Bret Hart like saying,
like in interviews before where he just said he was
just saying to himself, yeah, go ahead, take my title
and hog all the spotlight like.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
You always do.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
And then Hogan goes into the ring, Yoko Zuna gets
hit in the face with the salt by mister Fuji
by mistake. The Hogan leg drops Yoko Zuna and then
win the title in three minutes. So ho, Hogan was
the original person to cashing money in the bank, decades
before it.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Was the thing, right an analogy, Yeah, Hogan in the bank,
Yeah oh man. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
They try to paint it out as like anything can
happen at WrestleMania. That's kind of like the motivation behind
that decision. But just because anything can happen, that doesn't.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Mean it it happened. No, it shouldn't. And I am
actually writing an article on Russell MANNI coming here to
Vegas and it's funny because I after that, you would
never think that Russell MANU will ever come to Las
Vegas ever again until they built Allegianate Stadium. That's when

(22:20):
I was like, oh oh oh, we got potential. All right,
there's a good chance now because that stadium. Kerve was like, Okay,
we're gonna bring in a lot of events, which they
have already. We already they brought him to Super Bowl.
They're gonna possibly bring him a Final Four. They already
announced they're gonna have the college Football National Championship here

(22:42):
in a couple of years, So I already knew at
that time. When they build that Allegian Stadium, I was like, Oh,
they're definitely gonna have a Wrestle Mannia here, and.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
They had and they had Summers Slam there a couple
of years ago.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
Yeah, but that I mean a big difference with that one.
I mean, I was there live, and I was very
thankful to be there though, But it wasn't it not
gonna be compared to Mania. It wasn't full capacity. It
was only seating seating arrangements. It was just half the stadium.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Was because it was still kind of like half COVID
during that time. You could say that like we were
out of but not really.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
Somewhat. Yeah, but it was only like a half like
stadium event. It wasn't full capacity, you know, full seating.
Compared to now, you know what I mean, this one's
gonna be completely different. I cannot wait, Kurt, Kurt, I
cannot wait to see this entrance on Friday. Oh my god,

(23:41):
it's the one thing that I look forward to every
WrestleMania every year is the stage and you know it's Vegas,
so you know they're gonna do it big. I cannot
wait to see it.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
I can't wait to see it either. And yeah, this
weekend is gonna be special. It's gonna be a monumental
whether you've been fan of like how we got here
or not. I do think at the end of the day,
regardless of all that this show was going to deliver,
I don't see that bad WrestleMania were I look at.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
This, I'm looking at this card curtain. I am satisfied
what I'm seeing. I don't know a lot of people,
oh my god, the build that's not the same like
last year. Oh contrere.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Hey, that's a fair criticism, though, I will say that, okay,
but I still feel good about the show overall. But
admittedly sold the bill to get to WrestleMania. This year
has been very hot and cold.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Yeah, but this is where the point I was trying
to get to. Though. Everybody's complaining about the build up though,
but when you go back ten years ago, it was
not a good build up.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
And what happened got a great WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Thank you, that's my point.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
Yes, So after thirty two years, WrestleMania finally returns to
Las Vegas this Saturday and this Sunday, and yeah, crazy,
this Sunday is WrestleMania Night two, also Easter and four twenty.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
I know that's freaking weird, how man like the Russell
maning during this time. It's just odd that happen this time.
It feels usually you're building up for backlash already, but no,
they literally just like pushed it all the way like
towards like the middle of the end of April. Man.

Speaker 1 (25:19):
Yeah, this is definitely like a different experience having it
this late in April. But whatever, its whistlemanium, We're still
getting it. It is this Saturday and this Sunday, and
I just found four pm, yeah, four pm in a time,
seven pm my time, and a three hour pre show.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
This one's gonna be long. Oh my god, this is
gonna be over nine hours long. You have the pre show,
then of course you have the show itself will be
like four hours. Then you gonna have a post show,
which is gonna be another what two hours? Yeah, man,
oh my god, that's a lot.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I mean, are you even gonna watch the pre show.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
I'm not gonna have time because all right, So I'm
gonna take my girlfriend out that day because we're gonna
be celebrating our anniversary. Right, So by at the time
we're gonna go to a museum, we're gonna go out
to eat, which will be like around five, right. So
by the time we're done, which will be like around

(26:18):
six or seven, the show will probably still be on
and the post show will still be on. So watch
it live. No, I'm not gonna be able to watch
it live. Oh shoot, yeah, because I our anniversary was
on uh was it Wednesday? This past Wednesday? Yeah? Right?
And you know I asked her, was like, hey, do

(26:39):
you want to celebrate that day or you just want
to wait till weekend? We'll just do it all week.
And I was all right, you know, this is not
the first time I miss a wrestlem alive. I remember.
It's funny because I was watching wreussele Mania thirty seven
a few days ago, and I just remember I was like,
oh my god, I just I remember how good that
man it was? Right, I just miss Actually, yeah, I

(27:00):
just forgot how good that many was. Right, So I
missed Night one Live because I was working, so I
didn't watch it until I got home at night. Right,
same thing with I think, the same thing with thirty eight,
if I remember, because I had the same situation. I
think I had to work and then you know, and
I didn't get off that until nighttime. So but yeah,

(27:20):
it's whatever. But but yeah, uh yeah, it's just kind
of crazy with the that's a lot, man, that's gonna
be over like nine hours.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
I mean, I'm not watching the damn pre show. I'm
not maybe, but I'm not watching the hours.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
I know. I'm not new, especially especially on Easter because
I'm gonna go to church on Easter Sunday, and then
plus I had me and my girl got to do
a little shopping. I want to do my shopping before
it starts. So yeah, I'm not gonna have time to
watch the pre show or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
Yeah, I'm gonna make a I'm gonna be at the
dispensaryes on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
But that's another story.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
So yeah, that's one thing about Vegas I'll say I
was spoiled by, like after living in a place where
it was legal. The one thing I didn't like about
living in Atlanta was that it wasn't legal.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
I think the one thing that bothers me living out
or just not just living outside of Vegas, or but
also just visiting outside of Vegas is how the hours,
like everything here in Vegas is twenty four seven right there.
It's like you gotta at least depending on where you're going,
you gotta damn near get there before like ten or

(28:29):
eleven o'clock before it close. Yeah, bes like that.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Yeah, I would say, besides New York, one of my
favorite places I've ever lived was Vegas. Yeah, but yes,
Vegas there's no destination for WrestleMania Night one and night
two of this coming weekend and this time for us
to give you our predictions for both nice yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
And by the way, before we start. Yesterday I was
listening to something rustled out podcast. Well he's not there.
JBL's been filling in for him.

Speaker 1 (29:01):
Oh yeah, that's right. Yet's put you. I think has
like a family of emergency. So he's been out for
a while.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Yeah, I wonder what's going on. It's been a while.
I mean, no, my hat's off to JBL. He's been
doing a good job taking over though, But yeah, Bruce
beIN has been gone for a while. But no, they
did their own prediction show and I actually listen. JBL
actually has some good pointers. I was like, you know what,
kind of like the same how I felt, and there
was summer. I was like, I never saw it that way,

(29:27):
but that's a good point.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
I think he's gonna make a cameo and get revenge
on John Cena for twenty years ago and cost him
the title.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
You should, but he said he's not gonna be there.
They ask him, they acted him. They invited him to
take part in some of the festivities though, but he
has other other you know, scheduling conflicts though. It's whatever though,
but sure he does. So let's get started with Night one,
ladies and gentlemen. That's right, April nineteenth, Night one of

(29:56):
wrestle Mania Saturday. And I kind of knew they were
gonna do this this way before they announce it. But
this will be the first match of the night versus
Jay Usso World Heavyweight Championship. And after watching this past
Monday night on Raw, you know, watching the segments from

(30:18):
Goother and Jay USO, oh my god, now this especially
after what happened, you know, a couple of weeks ago
with Jimmy Man, this build up is so good, Kurt,
and it's been really good. And jay Uso is really
hot right now despite what people are saying about him.
You know, he's been mixed, but this is his time, man,

(30:40):
this is his time. And jbl and that podcast says
that this match could be probably one of the best matches,
not just for this night, but just for the whole
show has that potential. So I'm picking jay Uso to
win this match. He cannot afford to lose. Not only that,

(31:00):
this match is in your biggest stage, and you know,
you know what happened last time when they went at
it against each other on Saturday Nights to Maine. Event
cannot f this up now again. So I have jay
Usso winning this match and we will have a new
World Heavyweight Champion.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
Yes, I guess the saying goes, if you can't go
on last year, might as well be first. So I
don't have a problem with this match going on first.
And yeah, the bill of this match, but the most part,
was pretty consistent. Out of all the major matches at
WrestleMania this year, this one was the most consistent, mainly
because it was like the first one really made official,
like literally right after the World Rumble. And yeah, they've

(31:40):
had a lot of them up and downs throughout this
whole thing. Like when I think Gunther attacked ja Uso
like during his entrance once and that was the night
that Jay Uso officially challenged him for WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
That was cool.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
Also that time that Guther came out in the crowd
like doing j Intrance.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Oh my god, that was funny.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
But honestly, like after that had started to get a
little stale, but then it really heated up a few
weeks ago when going through attack Jimmy Usso the way
he did and like you know, made him bleed and
had Jay tied up in the ropes and he had
to watch. And that promo last week from Jay Uso
was great. It was exactly what he needed to say,
which is why, in a way, I wish he hadn't
said anything on Raw Monday because that promo he did

(32:21):
on Raw Monday was a huge step down compared to
that one last week.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Yeah, and also let's not forget this the promo from
Gunthro that same night, Man that I was an intense
I was an intense one, he that was something that
needed to be said. I was like, oh, that that
was good. I loved it.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
But there is something that's going to be said at
the end of this match, and what's going to be
said at the end of this matches here is your
winner and new World Heavyweight Champion opening match in this
case j Oo. So I'm saying it jay Uso wins
the championship this Saturday and the opening match, because there

(33:03):
is no other logical conclusion for this story than that
ja Uso has lost to Goon through three times, and
for the way they've been building this match, the whole
story about how Jay can't beat him, Jay's not a
mate a vener, Jay's not championship material. For all that
stuff going into the build, there's no other way for
this story to end than jay Uso defeating Gunther, holding

(33:26):
up that title, and everybody yeating in Allegiant Stadium like
there's no tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
So I do agree with JBO.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
This could potentially be one of the best matches of
the whole weekend and probably hands down, probably the best
entrance of the whole weekend too for ja Uso.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
I hope Guther has a good entrance I hope he
has something creative.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Maybe he'll do one of his TikTok dances I've been
talking about for years. Maybe he's been keeping it as
a surprise for wrestlming Lord, they'll come out with Lubig Kaiser.
They'll be booking down down the ramp, all right. But anyway, Yes,
I have Jay who's winning the championship. I don't know
if he'll have a long title raign or anything, but
he definitely needs to win the title on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
He's the moment. He's the moment. Yeah, that's gonna be
the most feel good moment of the whole weekend. Probably
is that. I agree. So crazy.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
I went to WrestleMania twenty eighth, the first WrestleMania. I
went to Jays and Jimmy. They were on the pre
show match. It took them to even get on the
main card of WrestleMania. And now he's going to be
in one of the championship matches.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
It's crazy, absolutely crazy.

Speaker 1 (34:35):
Yeah, well, good for him though. I'm happy that he's
in the spot.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
Oh yeah, very happy for him. Man. So on to
our next match, and this match was just added like
a few days ago, actually, So this will be a
tag team match for the World Tag Team Championships, and
this will be between the war Raiders and the New Day.
So this is something that New Day needed. I haven't

(35:00):
in the beginning. I was really thinking about this a
lot the other day. I remember early on, I was
not taking New Day seriously as heels. They were just
like what is this? Can it taken seriously? But now
they've grown on me. Now they're you know, they're winning
matches and now they're getting heat. That's the biggest thing.
They're getting heat from the crowd, So you want to

(35:21):
get more heat. It doesn't make any sense. You're gonna
be You're like the New Heels now and you don't
like you You're not really doing anything. And the one
thing you need to do is the winning get more heat.
In order to do this, you need to defeat the
war Raiders to become the new Tax Team Champions. And
I think that's what's gonna happen. New Day will be
the new World Tax Team Champions in this match.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Yeah, this Heel turn started off so hot that one
night they turned on Biggie. That was way back in
December and just to see how far this whole idea
has fallen off since then? How cold they've gotten since then? Yeah,
it needs to be studied. I'm not gonna lie like
this is this is one those fumbles WW have to
be called out for. Was just how hot that heel

(36:04):
turn started and just how cold it's gotten ever since.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Like it's kind of almost a miracle. They even made
it on the show.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
And you know what's even funnier, I'm surprised this is
the first time the New Day around a pl card
since WrestleMania last year.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Wow, I'm dead ass. You know it's funny do you
talk about that? That he'll run needs to be studied?
Because again I was literally thinking about this the other day.
It was just certain things that they were doing, especially
early on, where I just kind of like it just
it rubbed me off the wrong way. As a heel Kurt,

(36:38):
when you turn heel, you're supposed to have reasons for
what you did, right, So I didn't like the fact.
How okay, New Day had the reason to turn heel,
which is good, that's your starting point. But then later
on they were kind of complaining about, well, how come
the crowd doesn't like us? How come they're not letting us.
You know, the locker room is not you know, they
they blocked us off from the locker room. You know

(36:59):
what I mean. As a heel, you're not supposed to
care about what anybody thinks or says, and they were
caring too much. And I didn't like that. Number two.
That one, I would never get that segment where they're
in the ring and you literally had jay Uso get
in the ring and literally just call you out and
just tell you yo, like get out of my ring.
And that's two of you guys against one person. That

(37:22):
was That was like the start. That was the one
thing I was like, I'm not gonna take these guys
seriously because if those were a different that's like, that's
like me and getting in the ring and tell an
undertaker and Kane yo get out of my ring and
then get out. If they were did, they would have
picked the crap out of me for it so that
he'll turn, that he'll run. Was just like, I'm not

(37:42):
taking these guys seriously. Man. They gotta do something. You
gotta be like a little more aggressive man and not care.
They were kind of like, oh my god, why are
you booing us? And why does the locker room didn't
allow us in, you know, in your rooms, like you're
not supposed to care. You're not supposed to care. You're
a heel. And honestly a.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
Lot of people don't even care about this match. That's
how bad this like old heel turns gott.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
I do think it will still be good at the
end of the day.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
I still think it'll be entertaining, and in that regard,
I do think the New Day needs to win, and
they will win.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
I think it's the one match I hate to say
it where I'm just kind of I'm just I don't
want it too high on. I just is a sleeper
for me for this for Night one, at least we
have some black male wrestlers on the pole for once.
It's been a hot many I would rather Kurt. I
would rather see the Street profits on that card the
New Day No offense. Oh yeah, I feel bad for them.

Speaker 1 (38:37):
They were actually on Mason Cameron's on podcast and Mace
asked them about it, really saying I didn't get to
like really watch all of it. I just saw like
a little brief clip of it while I was at work.
But yeah, that's unfortunate that they didn't miss the card
this year and made the card the last three years,
and yeah, unfortunately it didn't happen this year. And I'm
not going to make it a race thing. I'm not

(38:58):
gonna make it anything like that, because at the end
of the day, there was a lot of deserving people
that got left off the card this year. Another example,
I'm gonna use it also Chelsea Green. Well, Sammy Zay's
like out. I don't know what's going on with him.
I haven't seen him since Elimination Chamber. But there's one
prime example. I think of somebody who's been left off
the WrestleMania card this year that deserve to be on it.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
It is Chelsea Green. Okay, all right, but I have
the New Day winning.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
The titles back, and who knows, maybe by some chance,
maybe Biggie might show up and cost them the titles.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
They were talking JBO talked about that. That is potential.
We even talked about that months prior. If New Day
we're gonna be at wressel Mania. What if Big E
shows up? So hey, that that is that's still potential. Man. Now,
if it does happen, I'd love to see it.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
Or JB might show up and cost them the titles
because of that night a couple months ago on rob
when it was in Dallas, when I think Kofi took
the two dollars back from him.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Yeah, maybe Jbo wants revenge. Cheap two dollars please offends me.
She is worth more than that.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Subway, and that's going into the subway money. But that's
another story.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
So let some get onto our next Predictawney for a
day past curve is for a day pass one trip.
That's for one trip is too, that's a day passed.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
That's funny anyway, probably a little more, maybe seven eight dollars.
The monthly passes almost one hundred dollars.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Good God on Jesus, it used to be you're craft
one hundred dollars for a month. Her Damn. I thought
you're gonna say at least fifty or sixty or for
a month.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
Damn.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
It used to be seventy. It used to be seventy
seven when I moved here in two thousand and seven.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
It used to be that much. But yeah, it's skyrock.
It used to be a proper unt It used to
be a proper country anywhere. Yeah, anyways, that's in the
story anyway, So our third match of the night, we
have Raymisterio versus El Grandi Merikando ladies and gentlemen. They
should make this a mask versus mask match, if I'm

(41:07):
being honest with you, the loser takes their mask off.
I would love to see this so you can see
the reveal the true identity of El Grande Americano. I'm
loving this whole you know, this El Grande Americano thing
that they're doing. I don't think him having him lose,
I think that will hurt him. I think you need

(41:30):
to continue the you know, continue the the storyline. Yeah,
continue the storyline. But the momentum that he has, that's
what I'm about to say, continue the momentum. So I
have no offensive Amisterio. I love you, dog my San
Diego Native, but San Diego Homi though. But I have
El Grande Americano winning this match. Yeah, I do too.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
I think they eventually will do a mask versus mask
match that'll probably maybe be a backlash or maybe the
show after. But I feel like this storyline is too
entertaining at shade entertaining and pulling it off for it
to end.

Speaker 3 (42:05):
Now, Oh that's right, whoa, whoa whoa, we don't know.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
Stop insulting my intelligence. Hey k Fabe, k Fabe died
twenty years ago, hell even longer than that.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
I don't care. You suck at k Favan and you
suck it life, so do your Lakers. At least my
Lakers are gonna make it and least time Lakers are
relevant like your Nicks playing home after they get eliminated. No,
they're not. Nix av wanta damn thing since Vince McMahon
senior was in charge anyway, So I had El Grande

(42:43):
a Marikana winning this match, and yeah, just keep the momentum,
keep the storyline alive from him. So, so our fourth match,
this is oh I haven't really thought about this one
for his fourth match, And this build up has been
so really really good good, And this is between j
car Gill and Naomi oh Man. I haven't oh Man,

(43:09):
And the storyline has been so good, so good. The
thing that one thing I noted about about this WrestleMania
the women, all three women matches in this whole card
for both nights, the storyline has been the build up
has been so good. Right, wait wait a minute, wait
a minute, wait a minute. One of those build ups

(43:29):
has not been good. Well, at first it wasn't and
then it got better because of the little because of
an off script segment.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
I wouldn't say it got better that that whole build
up has been a train wreck.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
I kind of I disagree. I think at first it
was a train wreck, but it didn't it got a
little bit better now after what happened. Well, we'll get
into that match in a few minutes. But yeah, let's
regardless though, regardless of it's kind of interesting how you
know the women are just like the storylines, was like,
WHOA like this very good building up, so but for

(44:02):
this one, I don't know, man, I never even really
had a time to dig my teeth into this one.
Who should I pick? And Naomi she has so much
heat on her and you know, the character change has
been really good for her. I'm picking Naomi to win

(44:24):
this match because I want this storyline to continue. Yeah,
I would say the same thing.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
I feel like she's been more interesting ever since this
feud started than Jade, to be honest with you, and
considering that she just turned and the great heel work
she's been doing so far, it would kind of be
a shame if he just loses just like that. I mean,
unless there's some fewld have just a one up and
they just move on to something else afterwards, which I
hope doesn't happen. That I could see Jade winning, But
if this is a few that's gonna, you know, extend

(44:52):
longer beyond WrestleMania, I think Naomi should win. And I'm
gonna say Naomi will win.

Speaker 2 (44:58):
Yeah, sorry, I'm just yeah, I'm just thinking about her.
He'll turn and her character change and all that, and yeah,
mostly when you're a hill and you know, you want
to keep that momentum, you want to get more heat'
that's the whole point of especially if you're like a
new upcoming hill, you know what I mean. So, yeah,
so I have Naomi winning.

Speaker 1 (45:18):
I like the fact that this is actually the first
like proper singles match between two women championship. Yeah I
was gonna say that. Yeah, this is like the first
proper like singles match at Wrestleman between two women without
a title on the line or anything like just a
regular storyline, kind of just like the men we get.
So I'm happy that they've gotten this, and I'm happy

(45:39):
that Naomi is going to have her first singles match
at WrestleMania after being in the company for fifteen years
on and off. So yeah, I look forward to this match.
It's so crazy. One year ago at WrestleMania, the two
of them teamed up with Bianca for that six women tag.
They had that great entrance, that great epic entrance, and
one year later they're going to.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
Be throwing hands. Mm A lot could happen in the year.
Ye say that a crazy And yeah, So this match,
I'm this is a match, underrated match that I'm actually
looking forward to actually, and this will be for the
United States Championship, and this will be between l A. Knight, Yeah,

(46:19):
and his challenger Jacob fat To. Oh my god, I'm
so happy for Jacob Fau in this position that he's
in right now. He is one of the next upcoming stars,
an upcoming made eventor that we could potentially see the
next couple of years or so. But for La Knight,
for him, his door is still opening and it's potential
that he could, you know, contend for a world championship.

(46:43):
And I've noted this was noted from JBL And this
is one of the things I was talking about how
I never really saw it in this aspect, if l
A Knight were to become a contender for the World Championship,
he does not need the US title going in moving forward,
and Jacob fought too. He was your new guy. Future
is right for him. This is the this is the

(47:05):
the next stepping stone for him. This will be good
for him. So I have Jacob fau Win in this match,
and we will have a new United States Champion.

Speaker 1 (47:13):
I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree with you. I think
I think the growing tension between Solo Socola and Jacob
Battsu is going to play a factor into this match,
and and Tomatanga are gonna accidentally cost Jacob Botsu the match,
which is going to l A Knights to retain.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
I think that happens. Oh man, oh god, wow, yeah, yeah,
you forget.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
We thought it was gonna be Solo in Jacob Botsu
with WrestleMania, but then they went in this direction. So
I feel like we're still going to get that match,
and it's gonna kind of build towards that with Solo
soa screwing over either accidentally You're on purpose, Jacob Botsu,
So Jacob Batsu. I'm really happy he's gonna make his
WrestleMania debut this weekend. I'm sure he'll put on a

(48:01):
great performance. By that performance is to end in a
loss to Ali Knight.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Oh my god. Wow, that's a big one. Okay, yep,
we'll see about that. That's an interesting one. Okay. Oh
this one, this one really didn't start off well, but
then it really took an off script segment to really
pick up the pace and get heated. And I'm talking

(48:27):
about Tiffany Stratton versus Charlotte Flair for the Women's Championship.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
All I'm gonna say is for the bill we've gotten
for this match, the match better be good because the builds.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
Especially after what happened last week because apparently Tiffany Stratton
outside of the ring, I got attacked by.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
And then Tiffany Stratton got attacked by Charlotte. After her
match on SmackDown with Rox and Perez, she faced Rocks
and Perez, Charlotte came and attacked her afterwards in street closed.
Charlotte Flairer even got in Wide Barrett's face.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
Oh my god, hell he did. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:07):
Look that segment they had on SmackDown two weeks ago,
it was just a mess, regardless of if you like
certain parts of it or like Tifany Stratton standing up
for herself, that segment was a mess. I don't think
it did anything to get people excited for this match
anymore than they already were. But like I said, despite
how bad this build has been for this match, hopefully

(49:28):
fingers crossed the match delivers.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
In the end. I tell you one thing, It got
a lot of heat on Charlotte Flair, not just personally though,
And what is one thing you want to cap off
of it? If freaking so much heat?

Speaker 1 (49:43):
She's had heat ever since she came back that night
after the Royal rumble. When she was on Raw trying
to like give like a you know, like a heartfelt
speech about like her whole recovery. The crowd was shitting
all over her.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
I know, but she's really gotten way more heat now
ever since this whole thing blew up. But yeah, but
what was back to ill saying mm hmm, you have
so much heat? Like I said, man, you want to
get more heat, you know. And before that, dude, here's
the thing. Before all that, I was really like, Tiffany

(50:15):
Stratton needs to win. You know, this will be a
big This will be a really big Now, this is
her bigger, biggest match, right this, this is a bigger,
biggest match, you know, title defense wrestle Mania against Charlotte Flair.
You know, regardless of what people may think about her,
she's one of the greatest women wrestlers in its current era.

(50:38):
Right So I was before it, I was like, dude,
Tiffany Stratton needs to retain, you know, to be taken
seriously as a as a good champion and all that.
But after what has been going on, man, from that
whole segment. Man, I have Charlotte Flair winning this match. Yeah, yeah,

(50:59):
she probably will after what happened. If Kurt Kurt, if
that segment did not happen a couple of weeks ago,
right then, I would have still would have been on
Tiffany Stratton to win this match after what happened. Oh yeah, dude,
I'm sorry, Tiffany Stratton. I love you, but like, nah, like,

(51:20):
I have Charlotte Flair winning this match.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Yep, and she'll be caught up to her dad in
title range at no time.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
Mm hmm yeah.

Speaker 1 (51:29):
I mean, like I said, this bill has been crap
for the most part, but hopefully the match delivers, and
whether Tiffany Stratton wins or loses, she just needs to
have a breakout, like standout performance where like she really
earns people's respect.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
That that is true, that's not we can't forget about that.
I'm really just all she needs to win. She needs
to win. I think that. Yeah, Like you said, the
biggest thing, like you need to have a stand up
performance at the end of the day, regardless who wins
or loses.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
So, but if Charlotte does win, this will be the
third WrestleMania where she kills off like an up and
coming stars momentum from when she beat Oscar WrestleMania thirty four,
when she beat Leo Ripley at WrestleMania thirty six, the
Pandemic WrestleMania, and if she beats Tiffany Stratton here that'll
be number three.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Yeah, although she made.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
Up for with Rio with the match at thirty nine.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
I'll give you just watching that this morning.

Speaker 1 (52:18):
I was watching some of it last night. I'm gonna
watch more of it later. Yeah, I will say I
think Charlotte wins. Yeah, I think Charlotte is probably gonna win.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
Yeah. And now our final match of Night one, Ladies,
and gentlemen. This has been a good build up, but
at the end of the and then part of me
is like, like, you know, how ma'am about you know
three ways or fatal four ways and there's no stipulation

(52:47):
that's been you now. It's weird, but it's whatever though.
Regardless though, my current favorite wrestler is finally in the
main event of WrestleMania, and that is Punk and also
he had his favor where he always wanted to have
Paul Hayman at his side. It is a triple threat

(53:08):
match Ladies and Gentlemen, ceem Punk Roman Reigns and seth Rawlins.

Speaker 1 (53:14):
And it's rumored that Living Color is going to perform
CM Punk to the ring.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
Oh as I saw that from Claire as day since
they announced that Living Colors could perform at Downtown Fremont.
It is so obvious it is. I saw that. I
saw that clear from there. I knew they were going
to do something.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
I was at the last WrestleMania that CM Punk wrestled
in at WrestleMania twenty nine, We're Living Color performed into
the ring and where Paul Hayman was also in his corner.
I said that that was a WrestleMania he should have
main evented. It was a shame that it didn't happen
that way, but I'm happy that twelve years later he's
finally going to get that chance and finally going to

(53:54):
get to be in the main event of WrestleMania where
he belongs.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
And you know what I've known the past couple of weeks,
Seampunk really didn't get any Mike time these last two weeks, Right,
it's just been Roman reigns and seth rawlins. Right.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
Roman Rings had an interesting interview with Vanity Fair. I
don't know if you saw some like clips from it.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
I heard. I heard everybody's in an uproar right now
about that.

Speaker 1 (54:19):
The too many things I got out of it was
like he said that after his contract that he's currently
unders expires next year, he has like another year or
two of wrestling left tops. Yeah, so that and then
obviously he said, even though he's a registered Democrat.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
He voted for Trump. Yeah, that's what everybody's an uproard for.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
I mean, look at like I said, you know, I
don't like Trump, I don't fuck with him, but I'm
done getting that outraged about him and outraged about people
who voted for him.

Speaker 2 (54:44):
Yeah, I can't do that anymore. Yeah, it's not worth it.
But anyway, so look, Roman Reigns and Seth Rowns have
been in a spotlight before. Right last year they were yeah,
they know what it's like. This is new for seem Punk. Man.
Seam Punk's been screwed over like ever since this year

(55:07):
started Roy Rumble, Elimination Chamber and the cage match. Yeah
you could, Yeah, you can say that. You can mainly
say Seth Rons pretty much got screwed over because he
was about the winning match. That's when Roman came in.
That's a different story. But anyways, off with this obsession

(55:29):
with hating Punk anyway, Uh, Punky's winn this match. Man.

Speaker 3 (55:37):
I heard a little rumor that, oh what if Paul
Hayman turns on him on seeing Punk and he joins
with uh with seth rollins And it's just, oh, man,
I'm trying to get that.

Speaker 2 (55:50):
I just can't see that. That's that'll put a bad
put a, that's a bad taste in my mouth. That
whatever happen, I don't know, man, I would hate that
socle Yeah, I have seen him Punk win in this match.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
This is a hard one. I have like the build
despite the fact that there's no stipulation.

Speaker 2 (56:13):
Line.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
Yeah, Rollin's on raw talking about how this is the
biggest triple threat match of all time. The soul of
this industry, the future of this industry is on the line.
I'm like, Bro, you're not fooling anybody. You are not
fooling anybody. I'm sure the match is still be great.
These three have a lot of bad blood between them
to make it great, and also the Hayman factor is
the biggest selling point of it for me. But with

(56:35):
that being said, I feel like Seth Rollins is gonna
win and he's gonna pin see him punk to win.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
Oh man, Bro, he doesn't have to win. He's still
in the.

Speaker 1 (56:51):
Main event of WrestleMania. He doesn't have to win. He'll
be fine. It's not the end of the world.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
It's just I don't know how the way they're just
doing this whole stipulation has just been weird.

Speaker 1 (57:02):
It has been, That's what That's what we've been criticizing.
It so built for WrestleMania for a lot of it's
been very yeah strange.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
Yeah, I hope it's a good match, But also the
one thing I did. Like they released the promo for
this match. I loved it. I don't know if he
saw it, but I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (57:21):
Watch it after we get off. But I did like
that segment on Raw Monday where like Roman and Hayman
had all that.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
Tension and then.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
Yeah, and then Roman attacked Rolins when he tried to
get involved, and then like Hayman was like singing Romans
praises and then Roman just pie faced them down. But
the best part about it was when Rollins, wearing like
a shield vest he hit Roman in the back with
the chair again. Oh shit, man, Yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
This match is gonna be fun.

Speaker 1 (57:49):
I do like the feud between all three of these
guys and the backstory with all three of them going
into it. So, like I said, like, despite the you know,
the fact that there's no prize in the line that
there should be, I think the match at the end
of the day is.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
Still gonna be good. Shit. Yeah, well, I do have.

Speaker 1 (58:05):
Seth Rollins winning. I don't know if Hayman's necessarily gonna
turn on both Roman and Punk and join with Rollins,
because they kind of like played that down on Raw Monday,
where like Rollin said he didn't expect a favor from
Hayman because he's a scumbag and all that, but who knows.
Stranger things have happened before. But I don't think Rollins
and Hayman would necessarily make a good pairing per se.

Speaker 2 (58:29):
Yeah, because like he doesn't need Hayman sometimes doesn't need him.

Speaker 1 (58:32):
Imagine if Hayman starts wearing those wacky outfits like Rollins does.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Oh god, yeah, that'd be strange.

Speaker 3 (58:40):
Alright.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
So that concludes Night one, and now we're on the
Night two, Sunday, Easter Sunday, same time, Gladies and gentlemen
for pay.

Speaker 1 (58:52):
So that's why I have a feeling Snoop Dog is
gonna make a cameo again.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
Oh god. So anyway, just like with Night ones, how
we had it starting to not off of a championship match,
same thing will be for night too, this time a
triple threat match for the Women's World Championship. And I've oh, yeah,
I'm looking forward to this match. Good build up, and man,

(59:19):
I said this weeks ago and I'm sticking to it.
But this is an Eel Sky versus Bianca Bella versus
Real Ripley, And like I said, I've been saying this
for weeks. I'm sticking to it. The fan in me
wants to cheer for real Ripley, right, but my professionalism
cannot take the disrespect that eel Sky has been getting.

(59:43):
And that's why I'm picking eel Sky to retain her title.
She has been disrespected this whole storyline. Kurk, Yeah, she
has been, man.

Speaker 1 (59:52):
She's had everybody to stand up for herself the way
that you. I loved what she did at the contract
signing last week when she missile dropkick Ria into beyond
after they face story again good.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
Andald g. I just loved that picture where he's just
just like, I can't do this no more. I can't Yo.

Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
I'm sure you know how Adam Pierce always says I
need to drink after a stressful segment.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
After that segment, he probably drank a whole bottle to
the face. He's probably been her. He's probably been drinking
after every segment that they've been having for the past
few weeks now.

Speaker 1 (01:00:29):
But I'm telling you, son, he probably got like a
big ass bottle of whiskey or maybe a bottle of Patrona,
just drank the whole bottle to the face.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
Didn't even mix it nothing. He's probably doing that every week.
He's been stressed, trying to handle that situation stress, And
I don't blame him. He doesn't even have any hair.

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
Yeah, these women are crazy, and honestly, like I've said before,
if anybody's been the heeling this whole storyline, it's been
real Ripley. But just like the fans of Sean Michaels
in two thousand and eight, the fans don't cheer for
her even though she's been doing some questionable things. You
said two thousand and eight, remembering the Shawn Michaels and
Chris Jericho feud when Shawn Michaels was like doing some

(01:01:10):
questionable things that Chris Jericho was kind of calling him
out for, and the fans were still cheering for Sewn anyway,
And that's kind of Jericho's heel turn.

Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
So like in that sense, that's kind of what this
is reminding me of.

Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
What like, Rio Ripley's doing some questionable things that would
make maybe not want to share for her, but people
are still cheering for her anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
Mm hmm. And I can see why Bianca.

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
Bella is so upset and so frustrated, and especially with
that like backstage, like pre ta promo she did on
Raw Monday about how like she hopes like people are
teaching their kids like not to be the way that
Rio Ripley's been acting and all that. Yeah, I mean,
I love Bianca Biyonki's great, but I do smell that
heel turn coming.

Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
True. She's affected by that. But you know what's the
biggest thing she's really affected by that we really haven't
been been talking about. She's really bothered thing, dude. Yeah, yeah,
that that whole situation just literally just turn her upside
down a little bit. Man. She hasn't been the same sense.

Speaker 1 (01:02:10):
And yeah, talked about it on the show last week
about my two best friends beefing with each other back
in my senior year of high school.

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Yeah, it was definitely.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
Yeah, it will definitely put you in a bad place
when you know two people closest to you were not
getting along. H What with that being said, considering that
Bianca Belair is undefeated at WrestleMania, I think at the
end of this WrestleMania, Bianca Belair's streak at WrestleMania goes
from four and oh to five and oh, because I

(01:02:41):
think she wins the champion, but I don't see her
undefeated streak at WrestleMania ending anytime soon. So I feel
like she pulls out a win here and she wins
the title.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
God, imagine she loses, my God, it's gonna be a
whole uproar on on online. Oh yeah, complaining she's been
getting booed and all that. Imagine she loses, my God,
that's the first thing I'm gonna go. I'm gonna just
everybody's oh my god, I can't believe that love. I'm like, oh,
they hate black people, they hate black people. Relax, Relax.

(01:03:15):
People lose people matches. But I don't think she loses
this match.

Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
I think she wins, possibly with an assist from Naomi
and possibly a He'll turn attached to it. Well, yeah,
because I don't think Bianca is gonna be a baby
face much longer. I could just get that vibe. I
just can feel it that she's gonna turn.

Speaker 2 (01:03:35):
I could be wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
I don't think I am, but there's a chance I
could be. But if anybody's gonna turn heal in this
whole scenario, I think it's gonna end up being Beyonca
because she's gonna have a motive now because a by
the fans have been treating her the whole situation with
Jade and Naomi.

Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
So yeah, I can see it coming. Bro, It's just
that Eels guy's been so disrespected. I hate it. I
don't like it. I don't like it either, But champion
and they just overlooking you. I'm like, dude, hell no, man.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
And let's not forget bionco Owes EO Sky one, because
it was EO Sky when she won the championship a
year and a half ago with SummerSlam. The champion she
cashed in on was Bianca right after she wrestled the
triple threat match, Rightmlam, Yeah remember that?

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
I think Bianca oser one. So yeah, I think Beyonca
wins impossibly turns heel in the process.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
Okay, looking forward to seeing what outfit she wears in
her entrance to say, yeah, all right, So what's our
next prediction? Our next match? Another championship match with the women,
and this time is for the Women's Tag Team Championship
and has liv Morgan hel Rodriguez versus Bailey and Lyah
Vakira the Women's Intercontinental Champion. I knew Bailey and Liar

(01:04:54):
Lecro were going to be in this match with with
the you know, the the tag team got that they
did on Raw, I thought like, there's no other, there's
no other you could. Of course, last week I love
by the way, let's smack down. There's none other you
can't do, you know what I mean? And then this
past week on Raw, Bailey got the win over Live Morgan.

(01:05:18):
But but I would as much as I would love
to see Bailey Lyla rick kerwin also you know, for
her to get two titles on her, you know, get
the women's I see title, and also you have the
tag team titles with you right as much I think
I like the picture of it. I think Bailey is
still bothered that she lost to her a couple of

(01:05:40):
weeks back, and I think Live Morgan Raquel Rodriguez will
retain and win.

Speaker 1 (01:05:49):
I agree, especially considering that Live and Raquel like just
one of the titles a few weeks ago, and they
have a lot of momentum right now, and Bailey and
Lyra it's kind of like a thrown together team and
they have tenshion from what happened in that match last week.
So I feel like the long term story between Bailey
and Larra is a long term feud as opposed to

(01:06:09):
Attack Team. So with that being said, I do think
they lose. I think Live in calvertain their titles. And
I'm happy that Live Morgan did not get left off
the car this year. If there was anybody who deserved
to be on the car this year as far as
the women go, it was definitely. If she can't be
in one of the major title matches, I'm glad that
she's at least a champion, being the tag team champion,
and she's in.

Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
A match and I'm looking forward to this match. And
also now only am I happy for Live Morgan, I'm
happy for Rodriguez with everything that she's went through and
you're on a card to WrestleMania in a championship match.
I'm happy for her as well.

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
Yeah, she's won half of the champions and yeah, her
and Live have a good thing going right now. I've
said it before and I'll say it again. They're a
female Sean Michaels and Dieselah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
Yeah, I love that. Yeah, but I'm really happy for
rocall rigas though that she's been through a lot personally. Yeah,
And that's the thing though, She's been through a lot
personally and now you're in this position now. I'm so
happy for her, man. I watched a little bit of
her interview with Chris van Fleet and you know, talking
about her her skin condition. Man. I just I felt
so bad for her when it happened, man, And I

(01:07:10):
thought like that this was it for her. That would
suck big time. But no, she's still on the roster
and your tag team champions with liv Morgan too. Oh,
and you're on the card to Russellmania. You can ask
her anything better. Man. I'm so happy for her, man.

Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
And honestly, between all four of these women, they've been
putting on some good ass matches the last few months.

Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
Yeah, especially Live.

Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
I was concerned, like after she lost the title to Rhea,
like what was gonna happen to her afterwards?

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
But she still maintained her momentum and popularity. Mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
Yeah, she still feels like a big deal. She still
gets those great reactions from the crowd. And yeah, even
the match when they won the titles, Liv and Miquel
from you know, Bianca and Naomi, that was a great match.
And yeah, Lyra have been killed again. Of their matches
together ladies. So people have been crapping kind of like
on this match being thrown together. But I think this
match is a lot of potential.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Mm hmmm. I'm looking forward to this match.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
I think this could arguably to be the best women's
tag title match at a WrestleMania we've ever seen. I agree,
which is insane that because not a lot of them
have been great. But I do think this match is
a lot of potential to be good.

Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
Yeah, and then I remember the other like tag team
women championship matches they did at wrestle Mania was always
like like a fatal four way and all that. It wasn't.
This is your first time we actually have a simple
two on two tag team match, So I like.

Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
Well, technically we got a simple two on two tag
match for the women at the pandemic WrestleMania, but people
don't really count.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
Oh oh my god. See that's why I will never
watch that one. I'm sorry, I can't. Nobody will, nobody will.
I cannot watch. I'm sorry. It's nobody's fault. Okay, you
know what I'm saying. It's nobody's fault. But I just
I cannot watch that one. Can't. Maybe I'll watch Drew
McIntyre brock Lesner, that's it. And I watched the Bone

(01:08:58):
Yard match okay, yeah, oh yeah, but maybe because of
that part.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
When the Undertaker gets there and AJ styles just like,
oh hey, Undertaker, did your wife give you permission to
come out this league?

Speaker 2 (01:09:09):
Oh lord, that was funny.

Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
Oh yeah, Undertaker's inducting his wife Michelle McCoo into the
Hall of Fame. Tomorrow it's not gonna be. And I
do like that Punk is inducting the Breton Austin match.

Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
Yes, Oh my god, that's the perfect man to do it. Yea,
because Chicago. I think he was there for it too.
They never mentioned that. That's funny though, but yeah, that's
the perfect person to do because the match was in
Chicago and Punk is a big Brett Hart and Stone
Cold fan. So yeah, that's that's the perfect man to do.
I cannot wait to hear what he has to say
about that match.

Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
Yeah, it would have been nice if Ken Shamrock could
have done it. Maybe Ken scham Michaels still be there.
But yeah, Punk is great.

Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
Yeah, I never thought about Punk would be. They gotta
do it though, because you're always talking about Ken Shamrock
to do it. But yeah, I'm so happy that Punk
is gonna be able to do it. That's that's good.
So anyway, on our third match, Oh my god, you're
gonna love this one, Kurt. It's AJ Style versus your boy,
the douchebac fuck Logan Paul, no good, he even Logan Paul.

(01:10:11):
Oh god, look, I like how Logan Paul has a
new finisher and Logan Paul's just been dacardly as always
in this build up and he got the last laugh
on the Monday, the going Home Raw before Mania. But
I have AJ Styles winning this match.

Speaker 1 (01:10:31):
I think this match would be fun. I think this
is a match that people aren't talking about enough, but
maybe they should be. But I do think that AJ
Styles puts the doucheback fuck Logan Paul in his place,
and I cannot wait to see it. I'll be hit
some of the phenomenal forearm multiple times and just clocks
his mouth.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
Open straight up. Yeah this is your well. Yeah, I
think win this match. This is your typical veteran versus
new Well. Look, Logan Paul is not the newcomer. He's
that freshly new guy. You know what I mean? You
have pretty much. You have that old guys that new
guy where you have to shut the new guy up
pretty much. So so yeah, so I have Adri Stoles

(01:11:11):
winning this match. So on to our next match, Kurt,
I've been looking forward to this match. I love this
build up and as a fatal four way match for
the Intercom Metal Championship, we have bron Breaker, the champion
versus Penta versus Finn Balor versus Dominic Mysterio, and I
love how all four of these four of these men
have come together. And look, I love bron Breaker, I

(01:11:35):
love Pence. I would love to see Pensa, you know,
I always wanted to see him win a singles championship,
and my love bron Breaker too. I love the fact
that Finn baalas been on a hot streak during this
build up. But kurt I said this a couple of
weeks ago, do not be surprised if Dominic Mysterio wins
this match. This is Dominic Mysterio's first Russell Mania match

(01:11:57):
without his dad, and how can you top it off
if you win? I have dominicant Mysterio winning this match.
I think I might have to agree with you.

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
I do think Dominic Mysterio wins, and I think he
pins Finn Balor to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
I agree, man, Like this is this will be really
big for him. Man, And he hasn't really did like
I don't know, like just I felt like the last
like several months a few months been he's been a
little bit cold. Man, He's been on the on the
outcasts a little bit. So if you do this, this
will be good for him and I would like to
see it. Like I said, I love Penta, I love

(01:12:33):
bron Breaker, but like Dominic needs this. Yeah, this will
be huge.

Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
This is the first WrestleMania match he's gonna be in
without his dad, first championship match at a WrestleMania for
like one of the major titles. So yeah, him beating
Finn to win the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania, that'll be huge,
and that will also send signal the beginning of the
end of his relationship with him with Finn.

Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
Yeah, yeah, I agree. This match. This next match Sin
City Street Fight Damian Price, which is Drew McIntyre. Man,
we never I kind of saw this from the beginning,
you know, after the War rumble, but it really just
sped off from there. Man. And uh, oh, I you

(01:13:20):
could this. You could go back to last year's WrestleMania,
by the way, because Damian Price again he cashing his
money in the bank on Drew McIntyre. You know, this
is another match where I really need to suck my
teeth and like who should I pick?

Speaker 1 (01:13:40):
You know, I think Drew McIntyre wins because he needs it.
I think he needs to win, so I think he does.

Speaker 2 (01:13:48):
Yeah, he hasn't really been on a little winning streak
at all, yeah, ever since the few of Punk, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
And that's another thing too, with how great of a
year he had last year, especially with the you with Punk,
you kind of felt like he would have been doing
something maybe a little bigger at WrestleMania this year, like
maybe being in one of the title matches.

Speaker 2 (01:14:06):
But I do like what they've been doing with this
some bill with him and Damian Priest.

Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
They had some great, you know, back and forth segments together,
like that one segment a few weeks ago where Damiens
slammed him out to the car and actually glass got
in his eye because of it.

Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
And now he doesn't have it the passionate. He's metally
cleared now.

Speaker 1 (01:14:24):
Yeah, and he beat the hell out of Damien two
weeks ago.

Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
Yeah, the beat down he put down on him on
SmackDown last Friday was nasty. So yeah, they've done a
good job with the bill for this. I'm sure between
the both of them, they probably thought they would have
been doing something a little bigger at WrestleMania this year.
But I feel like they've been making good use out
of the you know, story they've been given so far.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
And I think the match will be fun.

Speaker 1 (01:14:44):
I think these two are gonna kill it and be motivated,
and I think they're gonna like really have us walking
away from WrestleMania talking about this match in a way
we haven't really been talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
It much in the bill to wrestle Metia. I agree.
I think this would be a good match. Under rate
a match, so I have you know, I have Drew
McIntire one.

Speaker 1 (01:15:06):
Yeah, yeah, I think he needs to because Damien's gotten
the better of him and every turn from the cash
in last year, the Clash of the Castle match, and
also not beating him when he tried to cash in
the money in the Bank at Money in the Bank.

Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
So I think drews do four win here. I agree,
And now for our final match.

Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
Well, no, we have another match that's probably gonna happen
that has n't been signed yet. Randy Orton still needs
an opponent.

Speaker 2 (01:15:35):
Oh, shoot, forgot about that. Now everybody's predicting that Nick
all this should be the guy that'd be make the
most sense.

Speaker 1 (01:15:42):
They kind of teased it last week, how they teased
it the last two weeks, so, I mean, and in
Solo CoA, it kind of maybe seem as if he's
going to be the one to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:15:53):
I mean, it would get him on the card. I
get it, but I'm not really trying to that match.
I would have. Yeah, just I don't know, man. I
think Nick Aldis will be the guy, and we'll see
what happens. We met in him. Maybe it will be
a surprise entrance.

Speaker 1 (01:16:07):
Maybe it'll be a tag team match. Maybe it'll be
Solo and Tomatanga against Randy Orton and possibly a debuting
Alista Black.

Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
Yeah, anythink it happen.

Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
Anything happened, Look at WrestleMania Nine's ending.

Speaker 2 (01:16:23):
Okay with that, And now finally our main event for
Night two, it is for the undisputed WW Championship. We
have Cody Rhodes versus John Cena. Now John Zena is
gonna be on SmackDown tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
I don't know if I see them really running any
kind of crazy angle now this WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
That was weird that he wasn't on Raw a lot
this past week.

Speaker 1 (01:16:50):
And this is probably the build and the matchup probably
is the most guilty for being a little bit underwhelming
in some ways because they had the hot turn from
John Cena had Elimination Chamber. He shot the world by
turning heel. People are saying it's the biggest heel turn
of all time, next to a whole Coogan when he
joined the nWo. And yeah, it was a great angle

(01:17:11):
when they did it that night, But then you didn't
see John Cena on TV for over two weeks afterwards,
and two out of the three segments he had with Cody,
he spent more time focusing on crapping on the fans
and actually you know, talking about Cody, and while he
turned on Cody the way he did, and not to
mention the Rock who was kind of the catalyst for

(01:17:31):
this whole thing, has not.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Been mentioned in over a month, nor Seene.

Speaker 1 (01:17:38):
Well, he was on Instagram I think a few days
ago wearing.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
Like a new Japan shirt though, but not that that's
different TV though that that's that's that's different. That's just
so strange.

Speaker 1 (01:17:49):
He was he was more a part of elimination Chamber
than he's been a part of this.

Speaker 2 (01:17:53):
Yeah, that's kind of weird. And he hasn't he's really
been talked about, and more importantly, worst of all, he
hasn't been seen. That's that's the weirdest thing for me,
you know. I yeah, And as far as John Zena
is concerned, he only mentioned one time about the championship.
That's it. Other than that, he's been crapping on the

(01:18:15):
fans and just talking about how he feels and all
that stuff, you know what I mean. So I just
I don't know. This is one of the things weird
about this build. It's like some of these matches I
really haven't It's really hard for me to pick who
should I pick? You know, this is one of them. Well,

(01:18:39):
I'll say.

Speaker 1 (01:18:44):
Since Sina has like a lot more date scheduled from
what I'm seeing. Also, yeah, and also considering that he
just turned a few weeks ago. I don't like it
per se, But I think John Ceno wins title number seventeen.

Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
Wow, I don't know how they're gonna it's oh man,
it's weird.

Speaker 1 (01:19:12):
Yes, whole bill has been very weird and confusing, Like
since Elimination Chamber. The only really good segment we got
between the two of them was that segment two weeks
ago when they both shot at each other. You were like, finally,
after all this damn time, now you guys finally decide
to do this. I mean, it was still great, but
it's kind of weird that it waited so late in
the bill to give us that true.

Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
I don't know, man. And also I kind of get
what you're saying because you remember, Kurt John Zena has
not won a match in a long time.

Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
That's true also, and for him to just turn heel
and to come to WrestleMania and lose again, that would
be strange.

Speaker 2 (01:19:52):
Yeah, there are now it's already been rumored Rock will
be at wrestle Mania. But again it's just Scott too.
But it is weird that he has not been seen
during this whole build up. That's the thing that's just like,
it is odd, weird.

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
Oh you know what we get John seen a massive
heat if Donald Trump helped him win I'm seeing this
headline from this friend of mine that Donald Trump might
possibly show up at WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (01:20:25):
And Tom Brady I could see that too.

Speaker 1 (01:20:30):
Hey, I'm sure we're gonna see Matt celebrities at this WrestleMania.
Maybe we'll see our professor.

Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
Yeah. Oh, you know, it was another thing I liked.
I saw Colin Coward on that documentary too. Oh yeah
he was on that. Yeah, he used to live he
used to live in Vegas. He used to cover boxing
a lot. So yeah, I wasn't surprised to see him,
but it was it was cool seeing him on our documentary. Okay,
back to my prediction. There's a part of me that's
like Cody wins and kind of like you never like

(01:20:59):
when John Zena surprisingly beat Triple h you know what
I mean, and the fans just didn't see that one coming,
you know. I don't know. I just I don't know, man,
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:21:13):
I think Cody's had a great year as champion, despite
what the haters have been saying and the criticism he's
been you know, getting about I guess like not having
great feuds and like being underwhelming as champion. I think
he's done a great job as a champion and being
the top guy. I've never once doubted him as being
the top guy, especially after how he won at WrestleMania
last year. I think he still maintained his popularity and

(01:21:34):
had overall with good reign. Could some of the feuds
have been a little better, Sure, I'll definitely admit that,
But regardless, he had a great year as WW champion,
and I applaied him for the great work he did
in that last year. But that year I think as
WW champion, I hate to say, it comes to an
end this Sunday at the hands of John Cena and
possibly other shady shenanigans.

Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
So pretty much we're gonna have him. He's gonna be
twenty two, twenty three all over again. Pretty much is
gonna go on another chase again. Yeah, and what's wrong
with that?

Speaker 1 (01:22:05):
Sometimes it's cool when they chase, and look, people don't
really need to have all these long title mings.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
It's so funny.

Speaker 1 (01:22:10):
Out of everybody who won a title at WrestleMania last year,
he's the only one who still has a title, and
a lot of them kind of like lost like by SummerSlam,
like by the SummerSlam. Most of them have lost their titles,
and one year later he's the last one standing. But
I think that comes to an end.

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Yeah, I think if John Zena is gonna win, there's
gonna be a lot of Sananikans, you know. So, And
I feel like this is kind of like payback from
last year for the Rocks point after what happened last year. Possibly.
I hate seeing sad, bad endings atres or sad endings
at Wressellmania, though, but I think we're kind of I

(01:22:48):
think this is kind of we're kind of getting I
know you're not a you never watched Star Wars though,
but this is kind of like we're getting like an
Empire strikes back ending or WrestleMania, and hell.

Speaker 1 (01:22:58):
Even WrestleMania thirty I mean, it was still a great
WrestleMania between both nights. Night one was probably the stronger one,
and even that made event between Roman and Cody was great,
but the ending sucked and the ending was a letdown,
but for how it paid off the next year, it
was worth it. So I don't really look at the
ending to thirty nine as harshly now compared to before. Yeah,

(01:23:19):
but I'm happy as far as like a WrestleMania like
ending that was like a sour one where the heel won. Yeah,
there's not really one I can think of where I
thought it was like really good or made sense. I
guess you could count the Rollins one from thirty one
when he cashed in because he was technically a heel. Yes,
so that one you could technically count. I think one
that could have maybe worked was Rick Flair beating Hogan

(01:23:41):
at WrestleMania eight.

Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
If they did it. If they did it, but they
did it, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (01:23:45):
If they had done that match, that would have worked,
because I mean, Hogan was gonna take a year off anyway,
so in that regard, it made no sense for him
to win. Although Hogan doesn't do jobs well where he
shouts in.

Speaker 2 (01:23:58):
Pass when he's told to do a job, I guess
I have to pick John Zen in a win. So
we'll see what's gonna happen. But regardless, overall, I think
this wrestleminge is gonna be good. I like the matches
on this card. I like it a lot, and it's
very you know, most of these matches you really can't

(01:24:19):
really really you really can't tell what's gonna happen, man,
But that's what is unpredictable, That's what makes this business
so good. But I'm looking forward to both Saturday and Sunday.
I'm looking for the Hall of Fame. I'm looking for
towards just everything this whole weekend, man, And I can't wait.

Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
Yeah, it's my favorite weekend of the year, my favorite
time of the year, and I'm just happy we are here.
It's been a long build up. This has been the
longest stretch between World Rumbled and WrestleMania ever and we're
finally at WrestleMania, and I cannot wait for Saturday and Sunday.
It is going to be epic. I think most majority
of these matches are going to deliver in one way

(01:24:57):
or another. And I'm just happy that it's finally WRESTLMINGI.

Speaker 2 (01:25:01):
A week same here again. I wish I could be there.

Speaker 1 (01:25:04):
I'm a little disappointed that it's not working out that way,
but fingers crossed, I'll be at SummerSlam, and fingers cross
I'll be at WrestleMania New New orleanspur.

Speaker 2 (01:25:12):
And manifest on it. Man. Word up. Yeah. With that
being said, ladies and gentlemen, I hope you guys, enjoy
your wrestleming. If you guys are in town, enjoy yourself.

video addition will be on YouTube Ladies and Gentlemen, also
Spotify and our speaker podcast apps. Man We're all. We're
available all over where you can find us and also
give us feedback and what do you think of our
of our or of our episode. So with that being said, Kurt,
you anything else? Very jet off.

Speaker 1 (01:25:52):
Also watch that video that Drew McIntire dropped a few
days ago. I know he's mostly in character when he's
saying most of the things that he said, but listen
to what he said. Like, if you're in Vegas for
WrestleMania Week, if you see some of these wrestlers in
like certain places where it would be you know, inappropriate
to go up to them and try to ask for stuff,
whether it's an autograph or a picture.

Speaker 2 (01:26:12):
Please respect their privacy. That's not a lot to ask.

Speaker 1 (01:26:15):
You could be fans of theres, you could be admirers
of them, but there's a time and a place where
you go in you know, asking for selfie, you're asking
for an autograph, and when they're out to dinner with
their family or they're at their hotel room or something
along those lines. YO, just respect their privacy. And the
more you behave that way, the more you're more respectful
of people's privacy in that regard, the more willing in

(01:26:36):
some cases that we'll be doing to you. Don't give
you what you want?

Speaker 2 (01:26:40):
Gotcha? All right?

Speaker 1 (01:26:42):
So for John Renald, this is Conscious Kurt with another
edition of the Clash of Champions. Happy WrestleMania week Enjoy
WrestleMania Saturday, and enjoy WrestleMania Sunday and yet can't come
soon enough. And remember, most of all, especially during this weekend,
do not be assholes in real life or social media,
because all that toxic bullshit is for the birds

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
And ladis ghim as I always say, stay safe, stay blessed,
and always stay adventurous, Yes, sir,
