In this week's stacked episode, we review the good and the bad from both nights of WrestleMania 41 which included a great Triple Threat main event on night one with a shocking ending, another incredible Triple Threat for the Women's World Championship that opened night two, and John Cena defeating Cody Rhodes to win title #17 in a poorly received main event. We then dive into Raw the night which was even better than WrestleMania that featured Randy Orton being set up as Cena's first challenger, Becky Lynch turning heel, and a new alliance formed between Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman, and Bron Breakker. With The Rock noticeably absent from WrestleMania, we discuss his explanation for it on his recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show and whether or not the explanation was believable.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo yo, what is going on? My fellow wrestling fans.
Welcome to a brand new week, and welcome to a
post WrestleMania edition of what we like to call the
Clash of Champions, where we dive headfirst into all the controversy, storylines, personalities,
and everything in between that censor around this world we
know and love as professional wrestling for better or worse,

(00:24):
Sign your host, the Vegan, you believe in, Conscious Curt
aka the Professor aka Kerchiept and the Flesh as always
and my co host needs no introduction, but the hell
with it. He's gonna give you all one anyway.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
That's roight, ladies and gentlemen. There is this tag team partner,
Jonathan Randall, the Adventure himself, live and living color, ladies
and gentlemen, and we are coming off the heels from
a great wrestle Mania weekend here in Las Vegas, and
man it was it was amazing, man, absolutely amazing. Unfortunately
I wasn't able to go to Mania or Raw you know,

(00:58):
financial issues, though I was able to, you know, take
part in some other festivities during the week of WrestleMania,
and man, it was amazing. Man, it kind of sucks
that it's over, But just having the biggest show of
the year here in the city where I'm living in
it goes to show how how much the city has
grown over the years. I've lived here too long, and

(01:20):
I've seen so many changes within the city, you know,
from the super Bowl, this event, and so many other
events coming up in the future. It was an amazing
thing to be a part of. Man As for the city.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, I'm really bummed I couldn't be there. I haven't
been back to Vegas since I moved four years ago,
and yeah, I really wanted to go to this WrestleMania badly,
but unfortunately it didn't work out this year.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
But from the looks of things, it did look like fun.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
It looked like everybody had a great time, and I'm
glad everybody that was there got to have that experience,
got to enjoy themselves. And yeah, Vegas looked lit that
whole week with ww just basically taking over the whole city.
Just from the time you get to the airport, you
just see everything promoting WrestleMania, and just everywhere you went
you probably saw wrestling fans man into wrestling fans, and yeah,

(02:07):
there's nothing like WrestleMania week in whatever city it's in.
It just a beautiful time. It's incredible, and I hope
anyone who's never been a part of a WrestleMania never
been to one. I hope they go to one at
least once. I highly recommend it. But paying installments because
of how much damn money they charge.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Oh, I know, that's still ridiculous and I'm still bothered
by that. But just having it here in this city, man,
it hits so differently. It hits so differently though, because yeah,
wressell Maning was here before, back in nineteen ninety three,
and it was different though, But man, having it in Vegas, man,
it's a whole vibe. And yeah, everywhere I go, whether

(02:44):
I was driving on a freeway or if you're on
a strip, you saw wrestle Mania all over the place
and it was great to see that. And don't get
me wrong, I was so happy when a super Bowl
came here last year, you know what I mean. And
the super Bowl is different, you know what I mean.
But when you have wrestling, because you've got to remember,
not a lot of people, you know, like wrestling, and
it's a small world, you know. And I was having

(03:07):
that conversation with my girlfriend on Saturday because we were
driving past like a lot of fans near the stadium
and she was surprised of like how many you know
fans were here, And I told her, I was like, Babe,
you'll be it's a small world. It's a very small world.
You'll be surprised how many people will come here for
this event alone. Like two years ago when I went

(03:27):
to WrestleMania in La I actually met somebody and befriended
somebody who was from England, you know. So to see
WrestleMania come here, it hit differently than the super Bowl
for me because it was like, this is something that again,
it's something that not you won't expect a lot of
people to enjoy or whatever, and we kind of get

(03:48):
criticized for like whoa, you watch wrestling and all that though,
but you'll be surprised how many people are here, man,
You'll be surprised.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yeah, a whole bunch of different people from different places,
different cultural backgrounds, you name it. Anybody from any place
you can think of is a wrestling fan in one
form or another. Yeah, it's in a quiet taste, I
know it is. I definitely get my share of criticism
for still liking wrestling at this stage of my life.

(04:14):
But I could care less for all the dumb all
the dumb crap that people watch on TV, whether it's
reality shows, whether it's watching the news twenty four to seven.
You're gonna make fun of us for liking wrestling, something
that's actually entertaining and actually makes us happy as opposed
to fill our life with the press toxic bullshit. Yeah,
much rather watch wrestling than that bullshit.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
But man, I wish you were here man to see
what I was talking about, man, because it just like
whoa like everywhere I went, every time I was on
the freeway, every time I was on the freeway, like
I saw, you know, russell Mania just on the billboards,
you know, And if I'm driving past the strip, I
saw it, just see the wrestlers faces on the strip. Man.

(05:03):
It was just like wow, Like I can't believe it
sits here. I'm like, I'm you know, I'm not going,
but I feel like I'm still a part of this,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Yeah, And even though I was watching all the way
from New York, I still felt like I was a
part of it, especially the fact that I went to
a bar to watched the first night of WrestleMania, and
I was.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
So packed in there. I barely got a seat.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Well, oh wow, you get there early though, or I
got there like around six.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
I didn't realize it was gonna be so packed because
I went to like a bar in that same area
from aw show in September and it wasn't that busy.
It was still like a good amount of people, but
like it wasn't to the point where it was like overcrowded,
super loud. But this spot I went to, the whole
place was packed with wrestling fans, and it was to
the point where even though I made a reservation, they
had to like sit me at this like random table

(05:49):
with like three other people, which is still fun. I still,
you know, had a good time in that setting. But yeah,
it was wild in there. It was to the point
where you could barely hear the audio. You could barely
like really focused on what was going on because there
was so much going on, like at the bar itself,
and also the next game was happening at the same time.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I was just getting ready accident. You're doing double duty.
You're watching night one of Russell Mandy and plus the
Knicks are playing game one of the of the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, that bar was that Yeah, I was just crowded
as hell, and yeah, the Knicks game was going on
at the same time. And yeah, like the train station
where I get off from from Long Island to go
to the city is like right where Madison Square Garden is.
So like I was getting off the train as the
game was about to start. It was mad lit out there.
And then when I got to the bar, there's like
mad wrestling fans. It's crazy pandemonium in there. Ended up sitting,

(06:38):
like I said before, with like three random people.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
It was so cool.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Had a good time with them.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
But I will say those people I was sitting with
are not fans of the Undertaker, Triple H. Also Roman
Reigns because of their Trump supporting and all that jazz.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
What oh oh Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
The people I was sitting with the table I was
sitting at there were like significantly younger, like a lot
of them like only like started watching like maybe a
year or two ago.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Oh god, yeah, I mean it is what it is.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
I'm people feel the way they do about that whole thing.
But yeah, Night one was definitely interesting watching into that bar.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
It was mad loud in there.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
They were chatting, going crazy for everything, and yeah, they
really hated Charlotte Flair. That's another thing I noticed, like
Charlotte Flair to the point where this one dude I
was sitting next to he literally took a picture of
the screen with Charlotte Flair on it and put the
middle finger in front of it.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
I'm like, damn, bro, what should.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Do to you? That's pretty much how I feel about Pauline.
If I see him again, she'll get into later ladies
and gentlemen. But yeah, man, it was just a great
weekend man, and kind of sad that it's Ober. Yeah,
just like I see. Like I alluded to earlier, I
wasn't able to go to none of the events, but
I did go to uh downtown Fremont on Friday night

(07:56):
with my brother to watch up Looking Color perform. That
was great. So there was a lot of wrestling out
there as well. Not surprised though, but like just being there,
it was It was a fun It was a fun time, man. Really,
person really really performed well in person.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Oh Living Color, Yeah, I saw them at twenty nine.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Yeah, they they're one of the best as far as
performing on stage. Like I said, they were the best
live performance I've ever seen for an entrance for WrestleMania,
and they.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Did it again this year too. Yeah, we did.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Wish I could have been there, but I was there
in spirit.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
There's just in general, whether you're there or not, WrestleMania
week is still the best time of the year to
be a wrestling fan. And I'm also kind of bummed
that it's over. But I got Summer Slam coming here
to the New York, New Jersey area this summer. Fingers
crossed I'll be able to go to that show, because yeah,
I definitely need to make up for not going to WrestleMania,

(08:50):
and hopefully that Summerstime will have a better build and
better outcome than this WrestleMania did, because just like the
bill to this WrestleMania was very hot and cold and
very inconsistent. That's the same way I could describe WrestleMania
forty one m.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
I hope I make up for it this year because
I have two opportunities to do that. So we got
money in the bank coming up on June seventh in
La into it Noman Englewood, and more importantly, the biggest
one of them all. They had just announced a couple
of days ago that Survivor Series will be in my
second home, San Diego, but also my favorite baseball team stadium,

(09:29):
the Padres Peco Park, on my birthday, November twenty ninth. Man,
I fingers crossed the Lord willing, I'll be able to
go to that one.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Yeah, that'd be dope. Yeah, crazy, Survivor Series is going
to be in the stadium for the first.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Time, I know, outdoors.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Yeah, But let's dive into what we're mainly here to
talk about today. That is the review of WrestleMania forty one.
We had Night one and it opened with the national
anthem being sang by Jelly Roll. Oh yeah, ww's favorite
country singer.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Yeah it was fine.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Honestly, the national anthem singing was a step down from
last year. Well, pretty much everything from WrestleMania this year
was a step down from last year.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Well, I think everything except this stage at the stage
for this year was just over. It was just amazing.
Loved the stage, totally defined Las Vegas. Put me in
the mind of the Plaza Hotel in downtown Fremont, though,
but that whole stage, Kirk screamed, Las Vegas. Man, this
is the whole vibe of it. I love the scenery

(10:41):
at this event. I loved the lighting and everything and
it just it looked great man for an event.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Oh yeah, that stage was incredible. That is one of
the best.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
I have to say within the past few years since COVID.
I have to say this one, and you know Wrestling
the thirty nine, the theater set or my top two favorite.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Yeah, those are fair picks.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
And then we opened WrestleMania with a brief speech from
Triple H recent ww Hall of Famer basically welcoming everybody
to WrestleMania and you know, basically kicking off the show.
And the show opened with the World Heavyweight Championship match
between the champion, Gunther and Jay Usso, who, to no surprise,

(11:26):
had a crazy ass over the top entrance with the
people coming out with the with the USO flag and
the YEAT flag and then he comes through the concourse.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Yeah, it was pretty wild son.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
It was pretty much sucking forever to walk down the
downstairs though, but yeah, he finally made his way to
the ring. Great entrance. The crowd was hot and they
were lit to start off the night. And of course
Gunther made his incredible entrance as well, and I was
ready for it. This was you know, it was okay match.
You know, it took his time. I was kind of

(12:01):
like the spot where Gunther tried to you know, he
literally wanted to cheat. He used the belt and he
hit jay Usso with the belt just like he hit
his brother with the belt. But and then he went
for a splash, but that didn't work for him. And then,
you know, finally we knew that jay Usseo was gonna
get the win, and he did. He got the spear

(12:21):
on him and mom only that I just held the
way he won. He made Guther tap out, which was
very shocking to me.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Yeah, he hit him with three consecutive USO splashes, then
put Gunther in his own sleeper and gin Th tapped.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
I did not see that finish coming from a mile away.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Like we knew. We knew that he was gonna win,
but not in that way. That was just he made
Gunther tap out. Wow, Well what you thought about that? Though?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
I didn't see it coming, Bro, I knew that jay
Husso was gonna win. I had no doubt in my
mind he was gonna win.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Oh, I mean I know that, but like, were you
okay with the submission decision though, do you think that, like, hey,
maybe they should have just did a pen fall victory.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
I didn't mind it. I think it made sense considering
the story that they were telling.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
And yeah, it was a surprise, but not a surprise.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
I'm mad at I.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Feel like it, you know, played into the story fine,
but yeah, it was a shock. I was definitely one
of the more shocking endings, like as far as how
the ending went out of all the matches.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
This weekend, but it accomplished what it needed to.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Jay Usso is now the World Heavyweight Champion, his first
heavyweight title in his entire career, and I'm happy for him.
He definitely earned it for the year he's been having,
for how popular he is, and ye would have never guessed,
like when I first saw Jay Usso at WrestleMania twenty
eight at the pre show match, that thirteen years later

(13:52):
he would win the World heavyweight championship. But it's nice
to be surprising these ways.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Any in a good way, and it goes to show
how far you will come, you know what I mean,
Because you're expecting unexpected in this business, and that's what happened.
And you know, I was very happy for him to
get that moment. And also you know Jimmy, his brother
Jimmy USO joined him to celebrate as well. That was great. Yeah,
I was very happy to see him get this moment.
I knew it was gonna happen. It had to happen,

(14:19):
It had to. But like I said, I was really
surprised how they did it, making Gluther tap out man
that that's that's a first man wow. But yeah, so
we have a new World heavyweight champion, Jay we so
well deserved. Congratulations to him, and let's hope that I
know confidently that his title, He's gonna have a good
title run. So let's let's hope for the best. Roim.

(14:44):
So moving forward to our second match, we have a
World Tag Team Championship match that was between the New
Day and the war Raiders. The crowd was pretty dead
quiet for this match. It was you know what it is.
I still felt feel like the Street Profits should have

(15:06):
had should have had their tag team match instead of
this one, you know what I mean? But look, New
Day get they got the win. They needed the win
because on the hill run. But I was talking to
my friend of Mario about this. We're not really filling
their their He'll run. We're just not feeling it. Look,

(15:32):
I know they needed the tag Team Championships, they needed it,
but I just I'm not feeling it. Man.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
Looking back at it now, I kind of wish Kolfi
and Xavier it split up, like when they were teasing
that a few months ago before they.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Turned on Biggie. I kind of wish they had split up.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
And they had built of them having a singles match
against each other as opposed to what they've been doing
since they.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Turned on Big Eie.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
And yeah, this match, it wasn't really that interesting going
into the show. We didn't have a lot of interest
going into it. And yeah, the New Day basically won
with the Midnight Hour to win the titles. And you
know what's funny, this was the first time The New
Day ever won a match at WrestleMania as a team.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Oh wow, Yeah, you're you're right about that.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
I didn't even realize that. Yeah, I realized.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Like all the years they've been a team, they've had
tag matches at WrestleMania, they never won until this year.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
That's crazy, yeah, man, because I mean because I was
watching SmackDown, right, and I saw, you know, the Street
Profits versus the Motor City machine Guns, and I was like, dude,
they could have been them and d I y for
those titles instead. Man, that would have been more interesting.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
Yeah, that would have been a better match. And they're
doing a TLC match on SmackDown this Friday.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah exactly. You know. I was just like that that
that whole build up has more juice and just it
looks more interesting than what we saw than the New
Day versus the War. I just I don't know, man,
and me and Maari were talking about that because we
just I'm not feeling their He'll run just with everything
they've been doing ever since they turn heels, it's just

(17:10):
I can't take them. Seriously, man, Yeah, this.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Whole thing just really cooled off, and even though they
won the titles, that's great and all, it just still
feels far less interesting than it did when this whole
thing first started. I was even thinking Biggie might come
out to screw them, because Biggie was good.

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Yeah, yeah, we were. Remember we've been talking about this
for months about like, oh, what if you know, they
eventually have a match, which they did, but what if
Big E got involved, you know what I mean, But
that didn't happen, you know. Yeah, but was what it was.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
I mean, not every match at WrestleMania is gonna be
good or be memorable.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
And that was just one of those matches.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
So let's move on to our next match is one
of my personal ones. I was looking forward to going
into the show. We had Jade car Gill versus Naomi
aka Owen Hard It's time for Change two point zero.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Hey. I love Naomi's entrance, so yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
It was dope.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
I liked that there's some new characters, like giving her
new life and it's to show like a different side
of her, like some yeah, yeah, new version of Naomi
we haven't seen before. I liked her entrance. Jade Cargill's
entrance was a little weird with the whole weather Man
before she came out.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Yeah, yeah, it is what it is though. But the
match was okay, it was all right. I'm just you know,
we were kind of expecting that Naomi was gonna win
to you know, get more heat on her to capitalize
on his hill run that she that she went on,
but no, Jake Cargill got the win.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Yeah, this match went about not even ten minutes. I
thought it was good for the time that it lasted.
I was it wasn't too surprised that Jade won. I
get it because Jade was the one who got attacked
initially in the first place, so she had to eventually
get a revenge. I did like that spot where Jade
was in a submission from Naomi and then she reversed
it into a power bomb that was dope, and then

(19:06):
Naomi did like a bulldog from the top rope and
the split moon salt afterwards. Yeah, I was bummed that
Naomi didn't win, but I couldn't understand why Jade one
made sense from a storyline perspective.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
So yeah, Jade won with the jaded and yeah, that
was that.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
I just feel like this match would have been better
and maybe would have stood out more if they had
been given a few more minutes, especially for how hot
this angle was going into WrestleMania, I feel like it
did deserve a little bit more time.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
I agree, so onto our next match. This was honestly
my favorite match on the main card outside of the
main event, and that is Jacob fo two versus La
Night for the United States Championship. Man, this match was
this match delivered and it was good. The last two

(19:52):
matches before that really kind of like eh, but this
one really just stepped it up and just you know,
it really put out man and all the spots that
they did in this match. That counter when Jacob Fatu
did a moon salt but lle Knight reversed it countered

(20:15):
into his finish into his finisher that I love that spot.
That was my favorite spot of the night. I'm sorry
from that match.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Yeah, that was great.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
I almost thought he was gonna maybe have him at
one point, although I should have known.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah, but then he had his seat, you know, thinking, man,
why smart wrestler? Wise, he had his hand on the rope. Man,
I was smarter Jacob Fatu to do that.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
And then he ultimately rebounded and then hit elle Knight
with Usimowan dropped him the top rope and then hit
him with two back to back springboard moon salts to
get the win, and Jacob Fatu wins his very first
title in w W, that being the United States title,
and yo, I'm happy for the due. Even Haku jumped
over the railings to congratulate him afterwards.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah, I didn't realize. Yeah, I didn't realize that. They've
been making so many memes about that, like, oh, make
sure you don't let Haku jump over the guard weld
and you're like, nah, nope, you're not paying me enough.
You couldn't pay me enough to do that.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Hell no, even Andrew the Giant was scared of Hawkul.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah, but I was. I picked Jacob fa to to win.
He needed this win. Man, He's the newcomer. He has
a bright future. He needed this and I'm so happy
for him to get that moment. And yeah, to see him,
you know Hakku, you know, to celebrate with him, that
was great. Man. The future is bright for him. He
needed that.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Man.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
It doesn't hurt l A Knight at all, you know.
He He's now the former two time US champion though.
But man, big ups for Jacob too moving forward.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Yeah, that dude is destined for big things. He could
possibly be in the main event of WrestleMania by next year.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
We'll see, Yeah, his potential.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Yeah, but I do think him and Solo were headed
for Splitsville very soon.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Yeah. You even on our last week, you even think
you thought that Solo was gonna cost him the match?
And I was like, I don't know, thank god it
didn't happen. Thank God I was right. I was like, boy,
because I don't I would hate to see that. Man.
I really wanted, man, because I was like, I really
want Jacob to get this moment, and he did, you know, so.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
Yeah, I seriously thought that was gonna happen too. But
then Solo literally just came out with him on the
wrap and then just left.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Yeah, thank god, it's so crazy.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
For how much momentum Solo Soa had throughout most of
last year, he didn't even make the WrestleMania card.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Yeah, just yeah, you're right, the mighty fell man. I
mean I knew.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I knew after he lost to Ula follow the Roman
on that Rah Netflix premiere that he wasn't gonna be
like on that same level anymore. But damn, I didn't
expect him to miss the WrestleMania card altogether. I know,
shit crazy, and I guess it just happens that way.
I guess they saw, like once Jacob Fatsu joined the
Dollatry bloodline when they were running a rough shot last summer,

(23:07):
that Jacob Batsu was in many ways the real star.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
And it's differently.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Yeah, he really stood out differently, But congratulations to him.
He's our new United States Champion. And onto our next match.
We had El Grande Americano in his wrustle Mania debut
going against ray Phoenix, And you're probably wondering why Ray
Phoenix was in this match as opposed to Raymond Stereo.
Raymond Sterio unfortunately suffered an injury the night before on

(23:35):
SmackDown and he wasn't clear to Russell for this match,
So Ray Phoenix got to have his wrestle Mania debut
a lot earlier than he expected in this match.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Yeah, I was wondering why would they book Raymondsterio the
Russell on SmackDown the night before you have a match
at Mania. I just didn't understand that.

Speaker 1 (23:53):
Yes, SmackDown last Friday was actually pretty noteworthy for like
a SmackDown the night before the Big Yeah, it was
some shit that went down, like that Johnson and Cody
Road segment. That was that segment with EO Sky, Bianca
Ria and then Naomi and Jay got involved.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
Yeah, it's so funny.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
All five of them around the women's War Games team
and Survivor series originally, and they were all five were
beefing with each other heading into WrestleMania. All right, so yes,
Ray Phoenix was Raymond STEREO's replacement. This match was fun
obviously having ray Phoenix be the replacement from Raymisterieo took
away from it a little bit because we didn't get

(24:34):
the match we thought we were gonna get. But it
was so fun for what it was for the time
they had and al Grande Americana once again was up
to his cheating tactics when he put the piece of
metal in his mast and used it as a weapon
to hit Ray Phoenix with the running head bud and
then he finished Jim Off with the diving head butt
from the top.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Rope to get the win and continue his momentum.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
Yeah, I picked him to win, regardless if it was
even if Mysteria was in the match, was still in
the match, I still picked Americana to win the match
because of his momentum. And you can't you can't kill
it right now, this is not the time. Yeah, he's
on a momentum streak right now, and yeah, you gotta
keep it rolling. So yeah, that's I was right. I
picked him to win and the right decision was made.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yeah, So I Grande Americana picked up the winning on
to one of the matches that had the biggest train
wreck of a build, but fingers crossed, we were hoping
we would get a great match out of it. We
had Charlotte Flair challenging Tiffany Stratton for the Women's Championship.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
This match was nineteen minutes. I love Tiffany Stratton's entrance
was pretty interesting.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
Oh yeah, the Barbie Doll entrance.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Yeah, it was really creative, especially when you consider the
Barbie movie that came out a few years ago. Maybe
what's her name, Margot Robbie could have came out and
done the entrance with her.

Speaker 2 (25:54):
Huh. That would have been though.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
But yes, we had Tiffany Stratton Charlotte Flair finally in
their big match after the months and months of very
weird train wreck like segments between them, but we finally
had the match.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
This match was.

Speaker 1 (26:10):
Pretty hard hitting. Charlotte really did not take it easy
on her at all. You could definitely tell throughout it.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
And it looked like like, I don't know, like Tiffy
Stratton's two got chipped or something like that.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
Yeah, it did look that way.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
It looked like she almost lost her teeth, but apparently
she was fine, and Tiffany Stratton ultimately hit Charlotte with
her prettiest moonsalt ever, and to my surprise, she won
the match with that barren square.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Yeah, and like I said before, I said this months ago,
before the whole you know debacle happened or segments, I
said that Tiffany Stratton needed to win this match. It's
not necessary that she needed to win. She needed to
put on a good performance in this match, which she did,
you know, because she is, you know, fairly the new

(27:02):
champion and this is her big feud. This is her
first big feud that she has done, and you need
to you gotta, how are you going to adjust to it?
How are you going to respond to it? And you know,
she did really well, So this is this was something
that she needed.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Yeah, I noticed a lot with the women's matches at
WrestleMania this year. It was a lot of, like I guess,
in a way of the older guard or the more
established guard helping to establish the newer guard, which you'll
get into in our Night two match for the women.
And yeah, that's exactly what happened here. Tiffany Stratton beat
her clean, fair and square. The match itself was fine.

(27:41):
I don't want to say it was bad, but I
wouldn't call it like a masterpiece or a classic, but
it accomplished.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
What it needed to. And Tiffany Stratton.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Is a much bigger star now coming out of it,
which is definitely worth mentioning.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
That's something that again, that's something that you need to do.
You need to come as a bigger star, especially when
you're a newer star, you know what I mean. So
that's the whole point of it. And yeah, she retained
her title. I'm happy for her, and like I said,
I think, yeah, good things up for in the future.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
And if they make a sequel for that Barbie movie,
she should definitely be a character in it. And on
to the Night one main events.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
Yes, we had.

Speaker 3 (28:26):
CM punk and his first ever WrestleMania main event with
Paul Heyman in his corner and Living Color performing him
to the ring.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
That whole video package that they did before he came
out to the rain Kurt was just gold. Oh yeah, gold.
I just like I wish I was there because the
whole crowd was there singing. They even played his old
theme song This Fire Burns, which I love by the way,

(28:57):
and it just it brought back memories everybody else who
was watching. Some fans were saying they tear it up,
and I don't blame him. It was just really great
seeing that whole video package of him, you know, when
he first started and throughout his whole career. I loved it.
And plus, seeing Living Color perform brought back memories of

(29:19):
twenty thirteen. And I wasn't surprised that they were there
because I mean I just saw them that Friday. Seeing
them perform him to the ring, it was just it
was amazing. It was great. I do want to point
out though, I like Roman rings attire that he had
because he had like the white gloves, he had the
white Jordan's and I thought that was dope, know something new,

(29:43):
because usually like he was always wearing red and all
the time. But like him, I just like a fit
check right there. I just point out that I thought
that was dope what he's wearing. Also for seeing Punk Kurt,
I don't know if you notice this, he was wearing
yellow threads, the yellow coloring. That's the same color scheme
threads that he wore in his pipe bomb segment back

(30:04):
in twenty eleven, which was also in Las Vegas. I
don't know if you caught notice of that.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Yeah, I did notice that. And what I also noticed
was the last time CM Punk wrestled at WrestleMania before
this year was in twenty thirteen. And at that WrestleMania
Living Color also performed him to the ring and Paul
Hayman was also in his corner.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
For his match. Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Yeah, So we had CM Punk against Roman Reigns, the
OTC and mister Wacky Outfits himself, Seth Freaking Rollins.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
I like his attire too.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
Yeah, say what you want about how over the top
his a tire is, although he's kind of toned it
down recently. Seth Rollins really knows how to wear outfits
that stand out.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
He really did.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
And that's what a major chunk of wrestling is all
about your attire.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Man. I pay attention very closely stuff like that. So this, oh, man,
I was the tonight man. It was the best match
of the night, and no surprise was your main event
just one of you know, just a very great build,
but a little bit confusing that certain parts I had
questioned though, But man, this match was just raw emotion,

(31:17):
just raw emotion, man, and just so many good, you
know spots, Just a lot of mind games going on
in this match, especially when seth Ronins was at one
point was trying to team up with Roman try to
take out Seeing Punk and they were about to do it,
but then Roman was like, now the hell with that.

(31:38):
They were literally about to do a shield power bomb
to see him Punk through the announced table, but Roman rings,
like the hell that, He takes both of them out
and he power bombs Seeing Punk himself. Then he power
bombs seth Rawlins to the another to the other announced table. Man.
That's just Roman was just going through like a mental
breakdown throughout that whole match. Man, it was. It was

(32:01):
just crazy.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Yeah. Another great spot was when Roman attempted to spear
on Rolins and he reversed it into a pedigree.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Oh yeah that one, yes, yeah, yeah, that was a
long time these two were on it.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
These three definitely came out to play and yeah, this
match was incredible. Was it the best triple threat match
in WrestleMania history. It can't really say all that.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
It's one of them the best, but it's not. It's
not the best, but it is one of the most
memorable ones, but damn.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
This match delivered and many people's opinion, this match was
the match that saved Night One, like Night One would
have looked at a lot less favorably if it not
been for this match. And then we get to a
point where Paul Hayman has the chair and he has
the choice of whether to slide it to seem Punk
or Roman Reigns, and then he chooses to slide it
to see m Punk.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Yeah, and the look on Roman's face was is just
this devastation. And Paul Hayman gets into the ring and
as soon as sem Punk gets up, he loved oh
blow cm Punk and then the camera the look on
Roman's face was just I just kurt my whole like

(33:11):
mindset and just it was just like, what the hell
is going on? I was like, it's just words cannot describe.
Was just like my heart just broke when I saw that.
So then Paul Haman hands the chair to Roman, and
Paul Haman's telling look that set there he is, here's
your chance, and what does Roman do? Roman wants to

(33:34):
do the same thing what seth Rawlins did to him
back in twenty fourteen. The one thing that Roman has
not has never recovered from. Is that that still chair
shot to the back, and as he was about to
do that, as he was about to inflict his vengeance
onto seth Rowlans Paul Haman then low blows Roman Reigns

(33:58):
and myself and the whole crowd was just an utter
disbelief and shot. Kurt. I don't know what was the
vibe like at the bar you were at when you
saw this whole moment. But he hands the steel chair
to seth Rawlins. Then he does the same thing what
he did back in twenty fourteen. He hits the steel

(34:20):
chair onto Roman Reigns and then he finishes him off
with the curb stomp and gets to one, two three,
and seth Rawlins is your victor in the main event
of russell Mania. Kurt, those last five minutes of that
match was just it was just raw, gut wrenching emotion.
Yes it was.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
I kind of in a way thought that the outcome
of this match was gonna happen this way with Hayman
joining forces with Rollins, But they really played it out well.
From Hayman like acting like he's gonna join with Roman
again and turning on Punk and then Hayman turning on
Roman afterwards.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Yeah, it was a very well done finish for.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
This match, and the match itself was great, but those
last five minutes really definitely set it over the top
and seth Rollins finally won a proper main event of WrestleMania,
and now he has Paul.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Hayman as his new wives.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Man, so it looks like the bloodline, the original bloodline
from five years ago, is officially over.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
It is, and Cody Rhodes back in twenty three was
right predicted it that once he loses his title, everybody
on his side he's going to leave him, and they did.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
And I hate to say it, Roman in many ways
brought this on himself.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
Yeah, because I even talked about it on the show
last week. Ever since he came back after he left
after WrestleMania last year, he hasn't really been acting that
much different. Yeah, he kind of still acts like an asshole.
So it's like, bro, you still haven't changed, You still
act the same, you still treat people the same.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
And eventually everybody got sick of it, him in included.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Yeah, but man, those last five minutes, man, that that
was just like it was like I was watching Martin
Scorsese film.

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Oh, speaking of which, yeah, the Rock is going to
be in one of his newest films, which we'll get
into one a little later when we talk about the
Rocks interview on Pat McAfee show. But yes, Seth Rollins
defeated Roman reigns and see him Punk in the Night
one main event, and yeah, it was an incredible match. Heartbreak,
definitely the highlight of Night one. But yeah, these things
are gonna happen. Wrestling send you through different emotions, and

(36:43):
one of those emotions his heartbreak, which is what my
podcast partner felt here, just.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Heart of my god. It was seeing Punk's first Russell
Maney main event, him getting betrayed and then Roman gets betrayed.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
Was it was just, hey, at least he got to
say he Maine invented Russell finally, at least I.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Know, I know, but I know I'm just that at
that ending, man, It's just that that freaking toys with you, dude,
That those last five minutes was just like my god,
like up and down roller coaster emotions. Man, it was
I that was your Night one of WrestleMania forty one.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
So now it is on Tonight Too, and Night Too
was opened up by Stephanie McMahon, kind.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Of similar to what Triple Ah to the night before.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
This is kind of becoming the new theme for WrestleManias
now where Triple h will start off the first night
and then Stephanie will start off the second night. So yeah,
Stephanie just said welcome to WrestleMania, all that good stuff.
And then Night Who opened with the triple threat for
the Women's World Championship with the champion Eo Sky defending
against Bianca bel Air and Rio Ripley, and once again

(37:50):
Eo Sky was kind of disrespected where she's the champion
and she came out first.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Hmmm.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Yeah, I don't know what's up with this man, but
I need to show respect to the damn champ.

Speaker 2 (38:03):
Oh don't worry, Oh, don't worry, Just keep don't worry.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
But I did like.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
One thing I did like was Bianca Butler's entrance, where
like they had like a bunch of little girls like
doing jump rope and one of those girls who was
a part of her entrance was actually her step daughter. Yeah,
and I loved her outfit without for with all the
roses because it's funny. She did an interview on the
Mason Cameron Podcast and she was talking about how like

(38:29):
when she was deciding what she wanted to do with
her life, she said she wanted to have a career
where like people were throwing roses at her feet.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
So that's kind of like the expiration behind the outfit.
Very well done.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Yeah, it was an incredible looking outfit. And then obviously
Rio Ripley had her entrance. She got a crazy reaction.
I gotta say real Ripley in many ways reminds me
of Page really in many ways, especially the way she
looked at WrestleMania, I could definitely tell that Page was
somewhat of an influence on her. M Yes, much like
the triple threat that ended Night one, this triple threat

(39:04):
that started Night two was bonkers. This match was wild.
They were not holding anything back. There was one spot
where Rea Razors edged Eo Sky into Bianca. There was
this other spot where Rio was going to do the
rip side the EO from the top rope and then
Eo reversed it. Then she went for the over the
moon salt and then Ria put her legs up to

(39:26):
block it, and then Bianca hit EO with the KOD
and then Ria interrupted the count Yo. This match was
sticking my head spin, but in a good way.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Obviously a lot of people say this was the best match.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Of Night two, arguably the whole weekend. But yeah, I
do think it was the best match of Night two.
These women went all out. There was this one point
where Eo was going to do this kind of like
reverse hurricane Rana from the top rope on the rear,
but then Rea blocked it and then she like hit
her head into the post Yo.

Speaker 2 (40:01):
That was bad.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
And then her and Beyonca start going at it, and
then Bianca tries to kod on Rea and then Rea
blocks it, that blocks out of it, escapes it. Then
Ria attempts the riptide on a Bianca and Beyonca escapes that,
and then she hits Real with her braid Ooh that
spot will never rapickly cringe.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Whenever she does that. It's never it's never forgiving. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
I wonder if she ever does that to Mantes for it,
if he ever pisses her off. Oh all right, but anyway,
and then Ria hits I'm sorry. Then Bianca hits Rio
with the KOD and then she's about to pin her,
but then out of nowhere, EO Sky hits her with
me over the Moon Salt and then EO Sky pins
Bianca gets the win and retains the title in the

(40:47):
biggest win of her career. And honestly, this match made
EO Sky a star in a way that she has
never been a star before.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
She needed this win because because she has been disrespected
in this whole build up. Yeah, she has been She
needed this win. She needed this win to like she
just became the champion and they put all her focus.
You know, I'm sorry they put all this focus on

(41:19):
real Ripley and Bianca not showing any respect to the champion.
And you can't blame her for being feeling some type
of way. I would too, anybody would if they're the
new champion. So, yeah, she needed this win and I'm
happy for her, and hey, she's proven that, you know what,

(41:40):
I'm a real champion and I'm not to be taken lightly.
Hell no, especially after this performance and this win. Yo,
this match really put her on another level.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Like now she really feels like one of the top
women in the company, Like in that mix along with Ria, Bianca, Charlotte,
everybody else. Yeah, she's definitely in that mix now she's arrived. Definitely,
congratulations to EO Sky. I did like that footage of
Kyrie Zaane like backstage watching the match, and she was
in tears when the match ended, and obviously and her

(42:11):
parents were there too.

Speaker 3 (42:12):
Eo Skuy's parents were there also.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
She has a great energy to her, bro, Like she's
great in the ring and like just like the way
she screams every time she does a crazy move. Yeah,
she's definitely someone who never got enough credit, but now
I feel like she's starting to get that credit. M Yeah,
but shout out to her and Bianca's expression on her
face after this match kind of said it all. That
heel turn is coming son as soon as this Friday.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
Okay, I'll be waiting for that. Yeah but wait.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
Yeah, and now she's not undefeated at WrestleMania anymore. She's
the one who took the pin. And yeah, the crowd
still booter during the match here.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Yeah they even entrance.

Speaker 1 (42:54):
A little bit, but it was more noticeable during the match.
M yeah, bro, Bianca Belair as a heel is definitely
gonna be something to watch and we'll see how that
plays out this Friday.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
On SmackDown.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
But I do have a theory of two people who
could possibly de throne Tiffany Stratton for her championship.

Speaker 3 (43:12):
Okay, either Naomi or a Heel Bianca.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Yeah his potential, Yeah, I could see that.

Speaker 3 (43:22):
Lots and lots of potential.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
But yes, congratulations to EO Sky and looking forward to
seeing what happens to her from this point on. But
we'll move on to our next match. We had a
Sin City street fight between Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
Oh my goodness, this match over exceeded my expectations. There
was too many spots in this match was just barbaric
and just brutal and violent. I'm gonna start off with
the entrance. Drew mcintarre's entrance was kind of like but
I think they were doing that to promote the Doom
video game. I believe that was coming up. But Damien

(43:57):
Priest's entrance was just badass. You got the lead guitar
for Slayer. Oh that that was just that was so badass.
But loved it. But as far as this match, oh man,
this wool. This match delivered not in the way that
I expected. Just the spots after spots in this match
I love when Damian Priest did the razors edge to

(44:22):
U on on to uh, Drew mcintarre through the table,
Drew McIntyre using these still steps to hit Damien Priest
with it. Then he has the audacity an insult to injury.
He takes his brother's phone and takes a selfie when
Damien Priesce is knocked down on the floor.

Speaker 1 (44:43):
Yeah, sorry, boarded work. You know that she was mad funny.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Oh man. I even saw the picture on social I
was like, wow.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
Yeah, I knew these two were gonna deliver, right. I
know they were going to be motivated and probably a
little pissed off if they're not in bigger matches at WrestleMania,
So they were gonna come out here and make a statement.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
And damn did they make a statement.

Speaker 1 (45:08):
Yeah, that raises that spot from Priest on the mcintack
to the table was crazy. I think McIntire really messed
up as back from that because I saw that.

Speaker 2 (45:17):
Yeah, I saw that. You know, we were saying, you
know how like I don't know about this match and
all that, but like, man, when you see the video package, right,
it really makes sense of why they did this match
because it's like you know what, I kind of see
why because of what happened over the past year, and
it makes sense and I was okay with it. Damnian.

(45:39):
I loved the spot when Damian Priest was about to
do the Old School to Drew McIntyre, but then he
counters it and he shoves Damian Priest outside of ring.
He lands onto two tables outside and ring, and I
was literally the turning point of that match. And then
Drew McIntyre does a brutal Claymore kick to Damian Priest

(46:00):
with his head by the but the steel chair and
that was it. Man, Yeah, that.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
Was a wrap. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
That spot when he pushed him off the ropes through
the tables, when he tried the old School, that was crazy.
And then he just put his head against the post
for the chair attached to his head and did the Claymour.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
Oh brutal.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
I knew he wasn't getting up from that, and yet
that was no, that was it. Drew McIntyre picks up
a win finally and props to both guys for the
performance they put on and yeah, this is funny enough.
This was Damian Priest's first singles match with WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
Really oh oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, wow.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
Yeah, because I knew he had the cash in last year,
but I'm not going to really consider that a match person,
But yeah, this is the first singles match in Wrestlemanian.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
Yeah, both of these dudes delivered. Yeah, this match was
dope needed. Yeah, and Drew mcintart needed this win. It
was kind of like him trying to defeat his demons,
I mean, his demon I'm sorry as far as Damian
Price after what happened of what happened to him throughout
last year, you know. So yeah, this was the whole
point of that match, and yeah he overcame it. And

(47:07):
just props to both of them in a great match.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
Yes, and onto our next match, we had a fatal
four way for the Intercontinental Championship, Yes, with bron Breaker
defending his title against Penza, also Dominic Mysterio, the Chicken
Tender Slut and Finn Balor. And funny enough, this was
bron Breaker and Penza's WrestleMania debuts, and funny enough, his

(47:34):
dad and uncle. Their only WrestleMania match was at the
last WrestleMania that took place in Vegas at being WrestleMania nine.

Speaker 2 (47:41):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
Crazy, how things change, and he makes his WrestleMania debut
also in Vegas.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
Crazy and yeah, another great match on his card. Man,
just already, like after the second match, already knew by
the vibe of this night, I already knew that Night
two was definitely gonna be better than Night one. But
this match delivered too. It was a great match, a fun,
entertaining match. I love the spot when Carlito shows up

(48:15):
and he's on top of the announced table and bron
breakers across from him, and he jumps out there and
spears Carlito onto the onto the announced table, and the
crowd went nuts. Even Michael Cole went nuts too.

Speaker 1 (48:34):
Yeah, it was brutal, but Carlito deserved it. His assage
of fear he casts him to the match. Yeah, when
is Carlito gonna learn to like not getting bron breakers?

Speaker 2 (48:42):
Way hasn't the first time?

Speaker 1 (48:47):
Oh man, I don't know how that dude doesn't cough
out blood every day because of what bron bakers.

Speaker 2 (48:52):
That's for him to take that spot though?

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Man, well, yeah, crazy Carlito is always the punch back
at WrestleMania. First time he was at WrestleMania, Austin and
Piper messed him up and I was getting broken in
half by bron Breaker, man right in any event, Yeah,
So then bron Breaker came back into the ring. He
speared Penza, but then Finn Baller hit him with a

(49:16):
sling blade followed by the coup de gras and it
looked like Balor had the win, but Dominic Mysterio, who
is on the top rope after Finn Balad tripped him
a few minutes ago, hit him with the frog splash
and Dominic pinned Finn Ballad to get the win and
win his very first inter Continental Championship, and the crowd
lost their crazy.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
I lost my damn mind too because I picked him
the win he needed to win. That was going to
be the surprise of the night.

Speaker 1 (49:45):
And I'm so happy for him, yeah, for how much
of a heal he's been and for how the usually
reacts to him. He got a babyface reception from winning
that matchup I've ever seen one.

Speaker 2 (49:56):
Oh yeah, oh man. I was so happy for him
because this is his first match at Russell MANI without
his dad, and look, going into this build up, everybody
was not really talking about and they were just talking
about Penta, bron breaker Finn Balor, and it kind of
like you felt like Dominic Mystery was like the you know,
the fourth wheel, like he's the last man out, like

(50:18):
nobody cares. But I said, I told everybody last week, guys,
watch out, this is the wild card. This is the
guy who's gonna sneak up and surprise everybody. And he did.
I was literally I was jumping up for Joe. I
was like, damn it happened. I was so happy he
needed that. Man, This is great for him, really great happy.

Speaker 3 (50:37):
Yeah, it was incredible.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
Yeah, the dude came a long way from I remember
when he like on Issued, he debuted on the main
roster that one night on rob when like brock Lesnar
attacked him when he was sitting in.

Speaker 2 (50:46):
The front row.

Speaker 1 (50:47):
Yeah, and then he had that match with like Seth
Rolla did SummerSlam five years ago during the pandemic, and Yeah,
he was like basically teaming up with his dad.

Speaker 2 (50:54):
For like two years or so until he eventually turned
on him.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
And then yeah, became a part of Judgment Day, had
a ex con dom thing, and then his whole relationship
with Ria and now his relationship with Live Morgan and
Raquel Rodriguez. Yeah, this dude came a long way, and
I'm really happy that he, like won the intercommental title
at WrestleMania. Yeah, this dude is definitely one of the
future stars of the company, along with bron Breaker Jacob Batu.

(51:19):
You can also throw Dominic into that mix too.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Yeah, I'm just happy for him, dude, And I could
go further and back. I mean, look, he you know,
he was making appearances, you know, with a whole Eddie
Guerrero ray my stereo feedback, you know, twenty years ago,
you know what I mean, and you would never believe,
never think that, oh he's gonna join the business one day,

(51:43):
and you know, you never had that thought. And you know,
here he is in the business and look where he's
at now. Man crazy.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
Yeah, inter conmental champion and he pinned his own stable,
made Thin Balad to do it. And yeah, I predicted
that last week when we talked about it, and yeah,
it definitely went down that way.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
So now we're going to see.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
The further crumblings of the Finn Balarin Dominic relationship. I mean,
obviously they've been building to it for months and yeah,
it's happening very soon.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Mm. Hmm.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
So on to our next match, we had Randy Orton
against an opponent to be determined since Kevin Owen's unfortunately
had to step out because of his neck issues, and
that opponent for Randy Orton turned out to be none
other than TNA World Champion Joe Henry.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
And the pop that he got was amazing.

Speaker 3 (52:33):
I gotta say, I like to do steam music.

Speaker 2 (52:36):
Yeah, it was very catchy, it was very you know,
it was a song that the crowd likes to sing
along too.

Speaker 1 (52:41):
I believe in Joe Henry. Well, if you believed in
Joe Henry winning this match, who lost a lot of
damn money because this match went.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
All minutes true.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
As Randy Orton literally out of nowhere, like when Joe
Henry was like in front of the camera and kind
of showing off a little bit. Out of nowhere, he
hits Joe Henry with an RKO and that's all she wrote.
Randy Orton picks up the win, and then after the match,
he's acting like he's helping Joe Henry up. He's like
raising his hand, good job kid, good job kid, and
then he lays him out with another RKO.

Speaker 2 (53:18):
Pretty much pulled a stone col Steve Austin On. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
Yeah, people were a little upset that, like Joe Henry
like lost the way he did, Like he lost in
a very short, un competitive match, but I'm sure he
was thrilled to just be in that spot in the
first place.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
He even posted it on Twitter. He's like, hey, I
had to russell Mannia match with Randy Orton, so he
was happy about that. I did hear a rumor that
originally they were trying to get Jeff Hardy as the
opponent instead of Joe Henry.

Speaker 3 (53:46):
That would have been cool too, That would have also.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
That would have been you imagine, imagine the pop if
he Oh my god, imagine.

Speaker 3 (53:55):
Yeah, but it all worked out here. Joe Henry was
an ex serprise.

Speaker 1 (53:59):
But I expect Randy Orten to lose because I didn't
think it was losing to Kevin Owens, and I feel
like this scenario was just a way for him to
you don't get a win, but also give Joe.

Speaker 3 (54:08):
Henry a moment too.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
So yeah, like in that sense, it all worked out
because I figured Randy Ordon's going to be in the
main event of Backlash with it being in Saint Louis,
so I don't think he was going to lose here.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Yeah, you want to get some momentum, which he did
and which will happen the next night as we'll continue
on in our show. But yeah, I don't know if
you notice, though, but when you're looking at rand Jorton's tights,
it's kind of like the same color thread tights that
he had when he made his debut in the WW

(54:40):
back in two thousand and two.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
I did notice that, Yes I did.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Yeah, it was a great rowback. But yeah, Randy.

Speaker 1 (54:45):
Orton picked up the win here, no surprise and onto
our next match. In a way, for me, this is
kind of the point in the show where it started
to kind of slide down a little bit as we
had Aj Styles taking on none other than the douche
bad fuck Logan Paul.

Speaker 2 (55:03):
Uh. This match was pretty long, man, I kinda certain
moments just turned away from a little bit because it
kind of just dragged and it just was like, and
I didn't really have that much high expectations for this
match going in, but I think the one thing that

(55:24):
really I caught on was the was the ending of
this match as Aj Styles is out of the ring
right Logan Paul's knocked out. Carrying Cross comes in well.
At first, one of Logan Paul's buddies I forgot his
name though, shows up.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
I think it looked like something, yeah, something. I thought
it was gonna be Ice show Speed again.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
Oh yeah, true, but it wasn't. It was somebody else,
and yeah, that's about to happen. Carrying Cross comes out
and looked like he's about and you know, pretty much
scares this dude off, and then he's trying to help
Aj Styles. He pretty much hands the brass next to
him and like, hey, look, here's your opportunity. You know,

(56:09):
I'm just trying to help you out, blah blah blah.
But then aj Styles pretty much, hey screw you, and
he punches Carrying Across and then that pretty much that
distraction costs aj Styles the match as Logan Paul hits
him with his finisher and he gets the one two three.
Like I said, it really wasn't like anything about it.

(56:30):
It was just the ending was a bit odd. I
don't know about you.

Speaker 1 (56:34):
Yeah, the match itself was fine. I thought it was
going to be better, honestly, but it was fine for.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
What it was. And yeah, the ending, I was.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
Surprised by it because I thought AJ was gonna pull
out a win, but it didn't work out that way.
And yeah, having carry and Cross involved, I'm guessing this
is gonna lead to carry and Cross and AJ styles
footing in the coming months. And yeah, Logan Paul said
what you want about him, but that Poulverizer finisher is
a great move.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
I guess it is just everything about what he does
in a ring. I mean even when during the post
show when he when he's on a podium, you know
what I mean, He's just he wasn't k Fabern or
any bs like that. He was just being honest about
where he's at in his career. And can't blame her
for saying that he is a good, great competitor in

(57:20):
the ring. For as long has he been in this company,
for him to be that athletic and to compete, you
got to give the devil his due.

Speaker 1 (57:31):
I just wish the devil has gotten his ass beat
in this case. But it didn't work out that way.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
I know, I know, I know, yeah, I know, But
it was a word ending though. That was the thing.

Speaker 1 (57:39):
It was, like I said, man, after that Randy Ordon,
Joe Henry matches, the show started to kind of take
a dip, and this match, unfortunately was a part of
that dip because it was fine for what it was,
but really nothing mind blowing. Yeah, just compared to how
Night two first started with those first three matches, you're like, yo,
this is crazy. This Night two was way better than
Night one, but then in a second it starts to

(58:03):
fall off harder.

Speaker 2 (58:04):
Than Humpty Dumpty. Well for this next match, it was
a surprise, but also I was okay with it. And
that's the tag team match for the Tag Team Championships
between Liar Vikira a mystery partner of her choosing versus
liv Morgan and Roquel Rodriguez. So, as you know, Bailey

(58:27):
was attacked on Saturday, No Friday, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (58:31):
No, Saturday was Saturday?

Speaker 2 (58:33):
She was attacked Saturday? Okay? Was Saturday? Right, Okay? And
pretty much Adam Pierce pretty much told Lala Vicar, look,
you have a day to choose a partner for you
in this match, So no Bailey. Unfortunately, Lala Vicaire makes
an entrance and who was gonna be her mystery partner
and that person was the man Becky Lynch. Kurt, what

(58:56):
was your thoughts about that?

Speaker 1 (58:58):
I knew it was gonna happen because I heard the
Friday before that Becky Lynch was returning at WrestleMania in
some way and also singer at the Hall of Fame
on Friday. Was pretty much dead giveaway, even though she
was like doing some show a few weeks ago where
she said she was like done with wrestling for now,
she wasn't doing it right now. I was like, sure, sure,
I'll believe it when I see it, and then lo

(59:19):
and behold, one week later, she returns at WrestleMania. I mean,
it makes sense because Lyra and Becky have been like
linked together in recent years. Like I think Lyra beat
her for the NXT title a couple of years ago. Yeah,
when Becky you had that like running XT back in
twenty twenty three, So yeah, they had that connection. It
made sense that Becky would be your taxing partner. I

(59:41):
kind of could see it from a mile away. But
it was cool to see her back, and Yeah, unfortunately
the fact that Becky was her partner made the outcome
to this match very predictable.

Speaker 2 (59:53):
I know, but I was okay with the match. I
gotta remember, this is the first time that you finally
had a traditional two on two tag team match for
those titles at Russell Mania, as I said in Last
Suits episode, right, and I was okay with the match.
I liked it. They both performed well. This is Becky
Lynch's first match and who knows how long in a
long time, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
Yeah, and it was funny.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
Yeah, Cliff was the one who was always teasing about
the fact that she retired Becky last year because Becky
hasn't been seen since that feud they had, like when
Lived won the title, So yeah, in that sense, it
made sense too. But I just thought the match was
going to be a lot better like when Bailey was
involved because of like all the great tag matches we've
been seeing with Living Raquel lately, So I had like
those expectations going into it. But yeah, this match is

(01:00:36):
relatively short. It was about yeah, eight minutes long, and
Becky and Larra ultimately won the match and the titles
after Becky hit Live with a Manhattle slam to get
revenge for how Live took her title last year and
Becky took one of her titles this year, and Becky
and Larra were the new women's tag team champions and
that made Lyra Lyra two belts.

Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
At least for a little while double chant.

Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
But we'll get into what happened from that on Raw
the next night in a few minutes. But yeah, it
was what it was. Yeah, Becky coming back made the
outcome predictable because she's not going to lose her first
match back, and they won the titles.

Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
But I liked the match though, I mean I liked it.
I mean, we had a blunder in the previous match though,
but I think I liked it for what it was,
you know what I mean. But so we forgot to
mention how night one we had appearance by a Hall
of Famer to announce the attendants, so Shaw Michaels he
announced the attendance for Russell Mana for Night one, and you.

Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
Know they were along with his damn music in that
bar like crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Bet.

Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
And then for night too, ladies and gentlemen had stone cold.
Steve Austin made an appearance to announce the the attendants
for night two, but before he did that, he had
a little accident on the way to the ring. So
as always when.

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Actually had two accidents.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
Oh yeah two, yeah, that which we'll see afterwards, So he.

Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
Had trouble finding the rap at first to like get
up get up to the top of the stage. Yeah,
because like you noticed that, like he didn't come out
right away, Like it took him like at least a
minute or so before he finally appeared. So apparently he
got like a misdirection on like the wrap and then
finally drove the ATV down to the ring, he like
crashed into the board and like he knocked somebody down apparently.

Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
Yeah, I was like whoa. I was like, dang Austin.
I was like what geez? And you never have you
never have issue driving your four wheeler, man, but man
I saw. I was like whoa. And then even even
Tony Khan had not sorry, not Tony kan Nick Khan,

(01:02:44):
Nick kN Nick Con sorry Nick Con even had to
show up and to check on the on the lady
that apparently got hurt. I don't know. Oh, we forgot
to mention.

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
We actually forgot to mention it last week.

Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
It's funny.

Speaker 1 (01:02:55):
Nick Khan actually was like working security at WrestleMania nine.
You could see like a picture of them, Yeah, in
the back round. Yeah, I forgot to mention that too. Yeah,
that's crazy, but yeah, Ny come with the check on her.
But yeah, Austin was there pretty much to announce the
attendance record for Night to wrestle Mania a little bit,
a little more fans at night too compared to Night one.

(01:03:16):
But yeah, it was a great scene stone Cold regardless though,
And obviously when I saw him come out for that,
I started to think to myself, Yeah, he's not going
to be a part of the main event.

Speaker 2 (01:03:27):
No, I really I wasn't expecting him to be, if
I'm quite honest, if you.

Speaker 5 (01:03:33):
I, I mean, yeah, he was there pretty much for
the Hall of Fame for his match with Brett Hard's
being inducted, So I didn't really like, maybe you'd be
part of the main event.

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
I don't know, I just I don't know. I never
try to put that much infants and thought into it,
you know. But because I thought the Rock was gonna
be in counter here. But we'll get into that in
a few minutes.

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
So yeah, we ended up having our main events. We
had Cody Rose defending the ww Championship that he's held
for over a year against John Cena.

Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
And for those of you who were thinking that John
Zena was gonna make us spectacular entrance, as he always
does for every Rustle many that he's been a part of. Well,
you thought wrong. No special, nothing special about this entrance,
just straight all black, just said John Zena on the stage.

(01:04:35):
That's it black. Just the spotlight on him, him walking
down to the ramp and that was it. Like he
said in his first heel segment, you get nothing, and
that's what we got.

Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
Nothing yep, and we got nothing in this match either.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
Oh and Cody Rose came out with some weird ass
like evil canieval type entrance. These dudes are like writing
his motorcycles crazy bikes. I'm like, yo, when is Cody
Road has ever been associated with this?

Speaker 3 (01:05:06):
Yeah? Very odd.

Speaker 1 (01:05:06):
But I did like the mask he was wearing, the
helmet he was wearing when he came out, that was dope.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
I kind of thought the uh, the bike rider is
gonna ride down a rat Maybe I don't know, but
it's whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:05:16):
Though strange, But yeah, we had the match. The match
honestly was kind of basic. There wasn't much like really
to get that Yea invested into, like really sink your
teeth into that much. A big part of it was
the build where they like barely interacted with each other much,
and the seven weeks between Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania also
the Rock map being around, even though the Rock was

(01:05:38):
like a centerpiece of it. And yep, we got no
appearance from the Rock here at all, no side of
the Rock at.

Speaker 2 (01:05:44):
All, no appearance from the Rock. But we actually did
get appearance from somebody.

Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
Yes, in the middle of the match, Fucking Travis Scott
comes down to the ring with entrance and everything, theme
music and everything, and Cody Roll at one point hit
Sena with the Crossroads, but then Travis Scott pulled the
referee out.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
Of the ring. Yeah, and Cody Rose is pretty much
challenging Travis Scott to get in the ring. We were
gonna see him get his receipt and which he did. Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Cody Roads laid out Traviscott with the Crossroads, and him
and Sena were like wrestling over the title and like
Cody was like struggling whether or not to use it
as a weapon, which was very strange. And then all
of a sudden, Seena takes advantage of this and he
low blows Cody and then hits him in the head
with the championship belt. And as this is happening, the
referee is coming to and then the referecounts one, two,

(01:06:44):
three as seen as pinning Cody, and that was it.
John Cena has officially broken Rick Flair's record and it's
now a seventeen time world champion. Not a good match,
Not a match I'll go back and really go out
of my way to watch it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Not a good ending. And oh yeah that too, not
a good ending either.

Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
And other than Johnsona winning his seventeen championship, there's not
much about this match that's worth mentioning or even talking
about ever.

Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
Again, it was just an odd Yeah. The match itself
just wasn't really that good. But that ending though, Man,
it was just I didn't understand it. We saw no
I was expecting to see the Rock, but we didn't,
but we got Travis Scott, and I just didn't understand
that the Rock does not show up through, does not

(01:07:37):
show up during this build up, doesn't even show up
for wrestle Mania, and then the insult and injury the
ending of the match. You know, look, John Cena wins
by hitting Cody Roads with the belt, you know what
I mean? It really made this whole build up you know,
for nothing a ways and for nothing, and you ask yourself,

(01:08:00):
is it really worth turning John cena heel? Was it
worth it?

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
First they botched a New Day's heel turn, and they
even botched in a way John Cena's heel turn?

Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
Was it really worth it? Was it something that needed
to happen? And we kind of find out what was
the whole reason of it a couple of days later,
which we'll get into later though. But yeah, man, this
that ending kind of just like odd and weird and
not climatic for a WrestleMania.

Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
Look, I knew that this year is WrestleMania. Even if
it was good, it was gonna have a hard time
topping last year's, especially the ending to last year's. I
knew it wasn't gonna be on the level of that,
But damn son, they really felt flat compared to last year.
I would say, since we've come out of COVID, this
will probably go down as the worst WrestleMania I've seen.

(01:08:55):
Although it had its good parts, it was bad, but
over it was definitely a step down from the last two,
maybe three WrestleManias.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
Well, I'm gonna go ahead and say, because I'm gonna say,
you know, what's my score out of ten? Night one
not a good main card, main event saved it. Night
two good main card, but main event bad. What should

(01:09:26):
I give that? I'll give it a seven point five
out of ten.

Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
I'll give it a seven out of ten.

Speaker 1 (01:09:35):
And yeah, like you said, the Night one undercard was okay,
but the main event was really good. And then Night two,
the undercard was really strong. It was great, especially those
first three matches, but then that main event like really
took away from it.

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
It lost and.

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
What made it worse was then event and it just
it just it goes back to how I built it was, like, man,
was it really worth it? Was it really worth it?
Was it really worth turning John Cena heel and the
Rock doesn't even show up, Like, bro, you put Travis Scott, Like,
come on, I don't even know why Travis Scott was

(01:10:12):
even part of it in the first place. That was
just odd, Like I didn't understand that.

Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
Yeah, it was just strange.

Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
Yeah, not having the Rock there, but then having him
there when the Rock was like the whole catalyst for
John cenas Heelton in the first place.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
About selling your soul thing.

Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
Last night even a round and yeah, just for it
to end that way like very antyclimatic, very underwhelming. Yeah,
it was definitely a sour, sour ending to WrestleMania. And
in all honesty, the way most of WrestleMania turned out,
and especially the way that ending to that main event
turned out, was a reflection of how the build was
going into it this year, I hate to say where

(01:10:54):
it was just very hot and cold, very up and down,
very confusing in many ways, That's exactly what that main
event of Night two was.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Yeah, But I mean, regardless of how it turned out,
whether some people liked r some people didn't, this year's
Wrusselemania really did some numbers for the company but also
for the city of Las Vegas, as as it was

(01:11:22):
announced that it was the most viewed Russell MANA of
all time.

Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
Makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
Combine one hundred and twenty four thousand, six hundred and
ninety three fans attended russell MANI for both nights one
and two, and this year is russell Mania was the
most socially viewed WW event of all time, generating one
point one billion views throughout the weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
Yeah, WrestleMania always does crazy numbers. And especially in Vegas. Yeah,
city like Vegas. Yeah, it's not a surprise, even though
they are like a bunch of greedy assholes for how
much money they're charging for tickets these days. The success
they had for WrestleMania this year speaks for itself. Whether
you like the show, hated the show, or we're in between.
In the business aspect of it, the show did succeed.

Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
Yeah, And when I see these numbers and the attention
that this event got because of the fact that it
was in Vegas, right, I definitely could see Vegas, Holston
and Mania again in the future. Hey, why not?

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
They went to New Orleans, like after four years of
going there, like from twenty fourteen.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
They're going to be there again for the third time
next year. You know what I mean? Because you go
back to the first time, you look, you look at
the numbers, what they did, especially for that city, Kurt,
that was crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
And yeah, it's suck.

Speaker 1 (01:12:43):
I didn't get to go to Vegas for WrestleMania this year,
although I still plan on coming to Vegas to visit
sometime this year. I have never been to New Orleans.
So New Orleans for WrestleMania does sound like a midtime.

Speaker 2 (01:12:54):
Yeah, I just the attention of the vibe that Vegas
was getting. I'm quite sure it's the same in New Orleans, especially,
you know the last two times they were there.

Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
Yeah, definitely. But yeah, that was your WrestleMania forty one
night one night two. I said myself, I rank it
a seven out of ten. Had its good parts, I
would say, a little better than average, but still disappointing
and like I said, a reflection of how the build
was going into it, and that's what we got in
the end.

Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
But what was.

Speaker 1 (01:13:23):
Better than WrestleMania, in my opinion, was the raw we
got the next night.

Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
Whoa And I'm I'm a little I was angry that
I wasn't able to get to go, man, because that
that episode of raw. Wow, why didn't you get dude?
I was just it was just a lot on my mind,
and I'm about me and my girl about to be
moving out, and I was thinking about money and just

(01:13:51):
I was just thinking about just a lot of just
not in the right head space honestly, man. And if
I had to do it all over again, I would like,
fuck it, you know what I mean? But but yeah,
it is what it is, you know. I can't do
anything to change it. But yeah, I understand. Yeah. But
the show starts off, of course, with John Cena coming

(01:14:12):
out to the ring as a new w W champion
pretty much saying, how look, I'm even I even I
don't know if do you watch his interview on the
Pac mccaffee show that morning.

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
Pat McAfee show that morning. I heard parts of it.

Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
Yeah, I hear. I watched the whole thing. What he said.
It wasn't he wasn't ky faving. He was just being real,
you know what I mean. And he was just talking
about how what he meant by he's gonna ruin wrestle,
he's not. He's just he's kind of like just starting
over again or whatever, you know what I mean. He's like,
when he leaves, you guys gonna have to have a
neue champion or whatever. You know. So, but he was
just being real, you know. But back to his to

(01:14:51):
this segment, Yeah, he's pretty much saying, you guys got
so many days left, and when it's when it's gone,
when it's over, I'm done, You're not gonna see me again.
And it was funny how he's telling all the fans like,
take your phones out, take a picture because this is
gonna be the last time you're gonna see this. And

(01:15:12):
as when he was doing this, Randy Orton was behind
him and boom hits him from r KO and seeing
Johnsena laid laid down flat on his back, Rand Orton
proceeds that to take the w W championship, hold it
over his head and place it back down. Yeah, we
already know where's this going. Feud between Randy Orton John

(01:15:35):
Cena all over again, just like good old times. Yep,
John Zena versus Randy Orton at Backlash for the title.

Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
Yeah, I figured this was happening because it's in Randy
Orton's home town and with Johnson's retirement tour, you knew
him and Randy Orton we're going to face each other
Wooden last time, and what better place in time than
Randy Orton's hometown.

Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
And it's with the roles being reversed.

Speaker 1 (01:15:59):
With John Cena being heel and Randy Orton being a babyface,
so that aspect of it is also going to be interesting. Yes, Yes,
I liked when, like John Cener mentioned the ruthless aggression line,
like right after he mentioned that that's when you saw
Randy Ordon appear.

Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
Oh yeah, yeah, I love it. Yeah hot.

Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
Way to open the show sets up what will most
likely be the main eventor fort Backlash, and we had
a WrestleMania rematch for the women's tag team titles between
the new champions, Becky Lynch and Labra Valkira against liv
Morgan and Rakeel Rodriguez.

Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
I was gonna say that this match was way better
than their match of WrestleMania was.

Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
Oh my god, a lot of close, close falls. I
was just like, oh my god, it looked like at first,
like you know, just so many near falls and you're
kind of like, wait, man, are they going to retain?
And you know me, I honestly wanted to Live Morgan
Raquel to regain the titles, and they did. Surprisingly.

Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
There was one point in the match where larrad not
to Raquel off the apron and then Raquel fell on
top of Becky and that and like, Lara was distracted
by this, and this allowed Live to hit her with
the oblivion and yo, she got good with that oblivion.

Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
She like, yeah, drilled her right into the matt head
first and that was all she wrote.

Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
Live and Raquel regained the tag team titles after losing
them twenty four hours earlier, And yeah, I was happy
to see it because you know, I've been liking their
tag team, and yeah, I didn't run and see them
lose the titles with the momentum they had, so I'm
glad they got them back. But the even bigger story
came after the matches. Becky kind of looked at Larra
visibly upset, but then she helped her up and gave

(01:17:34):
her a hug, and then within a few seconds she
closed line.

Speaker 2 (01:17:38):
Lyra, man, I I kind of want to say I
saw it coming though, but I was still surprised I
saw it. I was like, oh, man, But I kind
of liked it though, and I was like, oh, we're
gonna get a feud for that women's Intercontinental title. Let's
hope that Bailey comes back and they make it a
triple throw it because I love to see that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:01):
Well, I don't know if Bailey's coming back just yet.
I think they'm probably gonna like, hold off, I'm bringing
her back for a while. With the whole angle they did. Yeah,
I really feel bad for Bailey. That's one thing I
didn't get into a few minutes ago. I really feel
like she was really treated unfairly in this whole scenario
where she worked all year to be a part of WrestleMania,
and like literally the day before they do an angle
where she gets taken out for Becky, who's been gone

(01:18:24):
for you. I Mean, I love Becky, it's nothing against her,
but just I could see how Bailey probably wouldn't be
too happy with how she was treated.

Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
In this whole thing. Man.

Speaker 1 (01:18:35):
Yeah, people were calling Becky Becky Hogan and how Becky
ruined everything for Bailey and all this other jazz man.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
But yeah, we're definitely gonna see a feud between Lola
Rikira and Becky Lynch. Definitely for backlash. I'll love to
see that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:51):
Yeah, Becky later out with like three different man slams afterwards,
and the crowd was cheering while she did it. Man,
I gotta be honest, and a lot of these cases,
like from what I've been seeing with the way they
cheered in this segment, the way they've been treating Bianca lately,
and the way they like cheered for Dominic after he won,

(01:19:12):
it's you're starting to think the fans are the real villains.

Speaker 2 (01:19:16):
I mean, they have they have they they get to
choose wherever we wanted to pick. This is not the
first time does this happen somebody else, Like this happened
was in Chicago almost twenty years ago.

Speaker 1 (01:19:29):
But when you really think about the things they're reacting
to and how they're reacting to them, you're like, yo,
these people have some issues.

Speaker 2 (01:19:37):
I don't know at the end of the day, I mean, look,
we've seen fans act weird throughout the years. I've been
watching wrestling for the longest time. And look, at the
end of the day, they get to cheat, pick and
choose who they want to cheer for, so we're not
out in control of that.

Speaker 1 (01:19:53):
Yeah, we'll see if Becky's he'll turn like really transitions
over to the next time they go into for Row
next week, what kind of reaction she gets there. But yeah,
this is well done. Yeah, this is very well done,
very well done. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
And this will be good for Larry. She gets the
few with somebody on the star level of Becky, and yeah,
this will definitely help establish her more is like somebody

(01:20:14):
for the fans to get behind if it works.

Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
Out that way. And also, look, we're always all over
the the you know, the women's title or the world
women's title, you know what I mean. But we are
We have a Women's Interconcinental Championship, a new championship for
the women. This is a good, very good to put
that belt on the map.

Speaker 1 (01:20:35):
Oh yeah, definitely. And it wasn't even on the card
at WrestleMania. Neither of the women's mid card titles were
definitive WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (01:20:43):
Right exactly, this is this is good.

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
Hopefully that will yeah be a step in the right direction.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
And also on ra we had the return of Russef returns.

Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
But before that happened, we were gonna get a World
Tag Team Championship match between the New Day and Yeah
Alpha Academy. I when I saw this, I was like, oh,
I don't want to see this. Lie trying to be mean.
I was like, I don't want to see this. Jesus.
I was like, please, I don't want to see this.
And then Russe ruins and I was like, thank God,

(01:21:18):
thank god, and he took out everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:21:21):
Yeah, Russef came out, got a great reaction, and yeah,
he laid waste to Otis and Sozabo. He let them
both have it. Yeah, I could see Otis and Roussef
being a solid match. I could see them doing that
probably in the next few weeks. Yeah, but yeah, it's
great to see Russeph. I'm glad that he's back. And
also we had a great match between Women's World Champion

(01:21:43):
Eo Sky and the NXT Women's Champion, Stephanie Vakoor.

Speaker 2 (01:21:48):
I love her, Oh my god, I love her. Yes,
and she made a surprise. I did not expect her
to come, did not. I know that NXT was in
town as well, because they had their pretty much like
the final you know, wrestling show in Vegas before they left.
And yeah, surprising to see her though, but great, great reaction.

(01:22:08):
I love I love her, and yeah, they she pretty
much calls her out like look, I want to challenge
the best, and Eel Skuy's like, hey, you know what,
how about tonight? And they did and it was a
great match. Man, another great match.

Speaker 1 (01:22:23):
I'll say from a wrestling standpoint, the women carried the
show on Monday. Yeah, it was a great match which
ended in a disqualification after Roxanne Perez and Julia both
interfered and started attacking Eo and uh.

Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
Stephanieanie and then Rio Ripley.

Speaker 1 (01:22:43):
Came out to make the save Ria and Julia like Riffy,
stading each other down before Julia walked away.

Speaker 2 (01:22:49):
And then yeah, I love that.

Speaker 1 (01:22:50):
Yeah that was great as a teach for something possible
to come later. And then Rhea handed the title to
EO and said I'm coming for that before she left.

Speaker 2 (01:22:58):
Yeah, she hasn't forgotten. He has not forgotten. But you
know what, I am surprised. I'm a bit surprised Bianca
was not there.

Speaker 1 (01:23:04):
That technically on SmackDown. She was only on Rod because
she was true.

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Oh yeah, yeah I was because I was talking to
Amari about that yesterday and he told me, was like, yeah,
well he's you know, she is on SmackDown. Was like, yeah,
you're right, that is true. That is very true.

Speaker 1 (01:23:18):
So is Cody technically because Cody lost the title.

Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
Yeah, I cannot wait to I love Raw, I really
love Raw, but man, I can't wait for the SmackDown
for SmackDown to hear and see what's gonna happen. But yeah, crazy, Yeah,
Rea Ripley has not has not lost her sights on
that title, and it's potentially that we may see real

(01:23:43):
Ripley versus EO Sky at Backlash, so we'll see moving
forward and then Ah Dirty Dam defending his Inner Continental
Championship for her first time against Penta. You know, it
was a solid, magic, good match, but a man as

(01:24:03):
Towards the end of the match, we saw a returning
JD McDonough.

Speaker 1 (01:24:07):
JD McDonough's back after that really bad injury he had
off of that Moon Salt Spot a few months ago.
He came back and interfered and Pushpens off the top rope,
and that allowed Dominic to take advantage and win the match.

Speaker 3 (01:24:18):
And one person that did not seem very happy about.

Speaker 1 (01:24:20):
This was Finn Balor as all of Judgment Day came
out to celebrate with Dominic afterwards, but he like looked
very confused and not really feeling the vibe of everything.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
He wasn't filming the vibe of everything after Mania, after
ever since what happened. Man, So there's a picture I
forgot this. I forgot to mention this because when Dominic
won the title at Mania, right, he left the ring
and he ran back into the ring to celebrate even more,
which was funny. And there's a picture of Finn Baalor

(01:24:52):
when he's like they got it they got the perfect
picture for it. Fim Ballor has that crazy bewildered look
on his face when when Dominic ran back. It's the
funniest thing I've ever seen. But yeah, Finnbala has not
been the same pretty much ever since Night two of
Russell Mania.

Speaker 1 (01:25:08):
So he hasn't been the same since Damian Priest beat
his ass in January.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
Oh yeah, I you know what, just in general career,
I feel like Finn Balord just has not been the
same in years. He kind of lost a lot of
wrestling fans all over pretty much has saying that Finn
Baal has kind of like lost that mystique in aura
that he once had years ago, and I kind of agree.

Speaker 1 (01:25:33):
I feel like in a way it goes back to
the match where he won the title from Rollins, the
Universal Title match, the one the match.

Speaker 2 (01:25:44):
Yeah, I wish he could just go back to that. Man.

Speaker 1 (01:25:47):
He's still had a pretty good career, I would say,
but just compared to what it was like before that happened,
yet it has not been on that same trajectory.

Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
His aura was just so different, man, and just he
you know, you saw him in just like the I
just took him seriously man, I just his presentation is
just not it's just I don't like it. I just
I like the old aura and presentation and mistique that
he once had. Man.

Speaker 1 (01:26:11):
Yeah, but unfortunately it doesn't really feel like it's there
right now. But we'll see how this goes in the
next few weeks. But we did have j USO's championship celebration.

Speaker 2 (01:26:20):
Ceremony, oh yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (01:26:23):
His entrance lasted ten minutes like it always does.

Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
My god, Yeah, sure it was wild, but I know. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
One person who came out to congratulate j Uso during
his celebration was Sammy Zaine, who we have not seen
since Elimination Chamber, and he talked about how, like, you know,
it hurt him that he couldn't really be there for
Jay during the whole few with going through after everything
going through was doing, and it also hurt him that
he couldn't be a part of WrestleMania this year, but
he said he made sure that he had to be

(01:26:52):
in Vegas for WrestleMania to buch Jay Usso win the championship,
and he said he was proud of him and you know,
said he loved him, he was his brother and all that.

Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
So Yeah, they hugged.

Speaker 1 (01:27:02):
They had a nice little celebration, and then there was
one point where Jay Russo was like standing on the
second rope pulling the title and then Sammy Zain like
awkwardly stared at him as if he was about to
do something.

Speaker 2 (01:27:11):
Dude, Kurt, Kurt, I don't know if it was just
you or anybody else about my god, I got scared
because I'm telling you right now, I felt something. It
didn't feel right. I literally thought Sammy Zain was going
to turn on him. Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:27:27):
I was watching sammy' zin that whole time, and Jimmy
came out afterwards to celebrate with them also, and yet
just doing this whole thing, I was just watching Sammy
Zain to see if he.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
Was going to do I had a bad feeling. Oh,
it was a bad feeling. But he didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
Yeah, he didn't do anything this week, but it's something
I'm watching out for in the coming weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
Yeah. Yeah, And around this time, yeah, and I was
saying to myself, hmmm, where's Gunther? So after the commercial break,
Guther's over here arguing with Michael Cole. Then he proceeds
to pretty much get in Michael Cole's face, and then
Pat mccaby. I've always had a hard time pronounced this

(01:28:10):
last name. I don't know why McAfee.

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
McAfee.

Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
Yeah, you're worse than I am in Massachusetts. I know.
I haven't forgot about that.

Speaker 3 (01:28:19):
I won't forget about this.

Speaker 2 (01:28:21):
Yeah. Then Pat McAfee pretty much gets in his face
and then shoves Goother and then Goother pretty much attacks
Pat McAfee and then he chokes him out with a
choke hold to the point where.

Speaker 3 (01:28:33):
Hell he even put Michael Cole in the sleeper.

Speaker 2 (01:28:36):
Yeah, security arrives, and then even Pat McAfee's you know,
his home boy friends out homeboys from his show from
this morning. He even jumped the guard rail and try
to you know, get involved. So yeah, all hell broke
loose in this segment.

Speaker 3 (01:28:55):
Yeah, this was wild.

Speaker 1 (01:28:56):
I did not see this come in at all because
I I've kind of noticed that goon through has been
confronting Cole and McAfee like in recent weeks, like in
a very uh like of every tense matter and kind
of like you know, talking down to them in a sense.
But then for him to do what he did here
where like he like knocks Michael Cole's headset off and
then he shoves down McAfee. Then he puts Michael Cole

(01:29:19):
in the sleeper and then mim and McAfee get into it.
Then he traps McAfee in the sleeper and it takes
them forever to get it off of him. Yeah, this
was wild son. It was a great segment though, honestly,
there's one of the best segments of the whole night.

Speaker 2 (01:29:31):
Yeah, it was. That was freaking crazy man. Then they
had to take pat to the locker room. Michael Cole follows,
and you know, Adam Pearce is like, hey, you know,
take the night off. But you know, Michael Hol's like
the hell with that, Like, look, I'm not gonna let
anybody stop me from doing my job. So he goes
back out there and continues to do his job for

(01:29:52):
the rest of the night. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
Props to Michael Cole for that, taking no shit, right. Yeah,
And they were like, fuck you goon through chance.

Speaker 3 (01:30:00):
Going all throughout?

Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:30:04):
Yeah, going through is that heel son. I would say
he's probably arguably the best Heill in the company. Just
no redeeming qualities. That's the main thing I described when
it comes to heels or bad guys in movies, no
redeeming qualities, and that's exactly what going Through represents.

Speaker 2 (01:30:20):
True. He's my favorite Hill and he's the best Hill
in his company so far.

Speaker 1 (01:30:26):
Yeah, and this is probably more than likely leading to
going Through and Pat McAfee match.

Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
Down the road. Yeah, who knows, Maybe.

Speaker 1 (01:30:34):
He'll be a backlash, maybe it'll be on the summertime,
but yeah, we're definitely getting that match at some point. Yeah,
because it's weird with going Through because now that he's
not the champion anymore, you're kind of thinking, like, what.

Speaker 2 (01:30:42):
Does he do now exactly?

Speaker 3 (01:30:44):
This is something interesting to have him do for the
time being.

Speaker 1 (01:30:48):
Yeah, all right, but we'll see what happens with that
in the coming weeks. And we had the main Events
segment where seth Rally's and Paul Hayman came out to
gloat about their actions at WrestleMania, and then Ralin just
talking about how he won. He's the winner of the
main event of WrestleMania. He's the visionary of the Revolutionary
and before he could finish, seam Punk comes out to interrupt,

(01:31:09):
and then seem Punk comes out starts beating Rollins down
in the corner with multiple cakes and punches, and then
Punk tries to confront Hayman, but as he's about to
get to Hayman, Rollins like rakes his eyes and knocks
him on the ground and then hits him with.

Speaker 3 (01:31:22):
The curb stop. And then Hayman refers to Rollins as.

Speaker 1 (01:31:28):
Like the new biggest star in the industry and they're
like showing the copyright boxes. He's like saying all this,
but then as he's about to finish, Roman Reigns comes out,
and then Roman, yeah, Roman Reigns comes out. He spears
a Rollins, then he superman punches Hayman, and then he's
about to go for a spear onto Hayman, but then
as he's about to do it, a mystery man in

(01:31:50):
a hoodie comes out of nowhere and spears Roman, and
then come to find out that mystery man is bron Breaker.

Speaker 2 (01:31:57):
Ron Breaker. Holy crap, holy crap.

Speaker 1 (01:32:01):
Yeah, bron Breaker speared Roman out of nowhere. And then
if that wasn't enough, Roman was outside the ring and
then he ran, He ran around the entire ring and
then speared Roman through the timekeepers area.

Speaker 2 (01:32:15):
Damn, damn.

Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
And then Rollins and Hayman demanded a Breaker bring Roman
back into the ring, and then Rollin's hit Rains with
a curb stop and then hit Punk with another curb stop,
and it was revealed that bron Breaker, Rollins, and Hayman
are now officially a stable. As the show went out
the air with Rollin's raising Breaker's hand in Hayman's hand,

(01:32:41):
looks like now that this is the modern version of
the dangerous alliance.

Speaker 2 (01:32:45):
Yeah, that's the vibes I was getting, you know, reminiscent
from the night of Wreussellmania, the night after wressell MANA
seventeen where he had the shocking alliance between Stone Cold,
Steve Austin, Triple H and Vince McMahon. So yeah, it's
that same.

Speaker 1 (01:33:00):
I'd like to forget that one happened, but I get
what you're trying to say.

Speaker 2 (01:33:04):
Yeah, I know, but yeah, that's pretty much the what
I was getting from. And as Raw went off the air,
there was a footage of you know, Roman, you know,
leaving and you know, staring down to seem Punk. I think,
I know where is this going to and if this
is gonna work, both of these men need to put

(01:33:24):
their differences aside. So I already know it's gonna be
Roman Reigns, Sam Punk as a tag team versus seth
Ron's and Brown Breaker Backlash.

Speaker 1 (01:33:35):
Yeah, that's the way it's looking. Yet they both got
turned down by Hayman. Obviously, they both had Rollins, and
now they have deep bron Breaker, So yeah, definitely feels
like it's heading that way.

Speaker 3 (01:33:44):
But damn, what a come up for bron Breaker.

Speaker 1 (01:33:48):
I knew he lost nothing from losing the icing side
of the way he did because he didn't get pinned,
But now he's a main event angle with Rollins, Rains
and Punk.

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
You just coming up. Yeah, this is gonna be crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:34:00):
I think by next year he could be in one
of the main events of WrestleMania.

Speaker 2 (01:34:04):
Yeah. Yeah, but great angle to end the show. Great
episode of Raw.

Speaker 1 (01:34:09):
Overall, one of the best rocks after Mania in years,
because they used to be really good for a while,
but in the last few years have kind of been
like uneventful. Still Yeah, but this one delivered. This one,
like I said, it was better than WrestleMania was. Yeah,
and like just feels like now they hit the reset
button with like all the storylines they were doing going
into Mania.

Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
Now that Mania is over, they can start over.

Speaker 2 (01:34:33):
Yeah, And usually it's funny because usually after wrestle Mania,
they they kind of get they you know, fall back
for a little bit. But uh that this one, this
one was different. Now they they really just revamped and like, oh,
we're on fire again. So they you know.

Speaker 1 (01:34:55):
Yeah, because a certain somebody doesn't seem like they're going
to be around in the coming months to screw up
all their plans. And that certainly somebody we're referring to
was The Rock, who, like we said a few minutes ago,
was noticeably absent from WrestleMania, and he was on Pat
mcaby show yesterday via satellite talking about you know, why
he wasn't at WrestleMania and why like he was missing

(01:35:16):
the last few weeks and all that, and he mentioned
the fact that Ariel Hilwani, like a month before Elimination
Chamber called him and said the ticket sales were low
for the Elimination Chambers show. So we asked The Rock
to be involved in it, and The Rock came up
with the whole idea of the selling your soul thing,
he said, and like he wanted Cody actually to turn heel.
He wanted to be Cody to turn Heel and Cody

(01:35:39):
apparently like didn't want to go along with it, so
then they suggested Sena instead, and then Sena obviously agreed
to it, and then they did the angle at Elimination Chamber,
and according to Rock, he said that after that angle
came off as hot as he did. He told Cody
and Sena separately that like, yo, you guys are good
on your own. You don't need me anymore. This is
already a hot angle. I feel like the Final Boss

(01:36:01):
has done his job. He's done what he's needed to do,
so this is all for you guys now. So basically,
his explanation for missing WrestleMania was that he felt like
the storyline was too hot and it didn't need him.
But why would he come back in the middle of
the WrestleMania bill just for Elimination Chamber and then disappear again.

Speaker 2 (01:36:22):
Didn't make any sense. I don't know how it. Like
I said, man, it made the whole storyline and it
made John Zena his Hill turn. It didn't do any
justice or make any sense, especially how the way that
match ended. You're the reason why John Zena Turnhill. You're

(01:36:43):
not even mentioned during the storyline. Need to build up.
I'm sorry, and you don't even show up for WrestleMania instead,
you have Travis Scott to show up. Made zero sense.

Speaker 1 (01:36:54):
He also said he had other commitments he had, like
other filming projects to work on and all that.

Speaker 2 (01:37:00):
Come on, if you're come on dude, like this is
one of the reasons why that whole Hollywood thing really
bothered me early on years ago, because they were all
in his ear like, well, you can't do this, you
can't do that, blah blah blah. Right, but dude, you
cannot commit to something like you know, wrestle Mania is
coming up, Like, dude, if you're committed to other things,

(01:37:21):
then don't commit to this, then don't do it. I
get it that they needed to sell tickets and all
that stuff, but look, when you're gonna do a build
up so strongly where you have one of your greatest
wrestlers of all time who was a babyface majority of
his career, John Zena, and then surprisingly turn heel, of course,

(01:37:42):
is you're gonna get like, come on, like you have
to build off of that and keep the ball rolling,
and you don't even show up, and you're gonna make
the excuse saying well, I have other commitments and you
should not have done it in the first place.

Speaker 3 (01:37:57):
And there was another story that came out later that
day that.

Speaker 1 (01:38:02):
Apparently, like the Rock backed out of the WrestleMania plans
two weeks before for whatever reason because of Yeah, apparently
he had a project to film or like they or
another thing that came out was that he didn't like
the creative plans, so like that's why he ended up
stepping away, and that story, I would say, I would
believe a little bit because of the fact that The Rock,
like yeah, randomly disappeared after Elimination Chamber and nobody even

(01:38:24):
mentioned him, and also the fact that Triple H in
his over one hour Hall of Fame speech did not
mention The Rock once. Yeah, that's odd because those two
were attached to the hip to each other for years
and regardless of what their personal issues are, Triple H
and also The Rock too, they owe a lot of
the success they had in their careers to each other exactly,

(01:38:46):
And yet that's odd that he would not mention him
once in that over hour speech. So yeah, there's definitely
something going on over there. There's definitely feels like there's
a power struggle between Triple H and the Rock. I
know they'll put on like a good face in front
of the camera and all that. They won't like, you know,
reveal all of that, but you could definitely tell with
all this that, yeah, something's up.

Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
And I don't know if I fully buy the Rocks explanation.

Speaker 2 (01:39:10):
Yeah, man, like I said, it just it doesn't make
any sense. And it, like I said, it made the
build up and it made John zenas Hill turn you know,
not worth it.

Speaker 1 (01:39:26):
Yeah, it's just one of those things where he stays
doing this like WW will have like the creative plans
like said, like months in advance, lie everything ready to go,
and then like in the middle of all that, the
Rock will just show up and say, hey, I want
to be a part of the show.

Speaker 2 (01:39:40):
Again, right, and they have to start all over.

Speaker 1 (01:39:43):
Yeah that's not cool, bro. That's he's been part time
or like just showing up randomly for what the last
twenty years or so, and Yo, it's getting old now.
It's to the point now we're like, Yo, we don't
need you like that. It's great if you come through,
it's great if you show up, but at least give
us a like enough time in advance to plan around
it as opposed to just readomly showing up at the

(01:40:04):
last minute. Triple Ah and the writing team have every
right to be upset and everybody to be frustrated with
a rock constantly pulling that crap.

Speaker 2 (01:40:11):
Yeah, man, you can't like it's it's a power struggle
team the business, you know, the wrestling business in Hollywood.
It's like, dude, if you're not going to fully commit
to what you're doing, then don't do it. If you
have other things going on in Hollywood, then just stick
to it. Don't say, oh, I'm going to do this,
but then you know I can't do this because I
got other like stuff going on in Hollywood. Like, you

(01:40:32):
ain't be doing that. I don't care who's in your
ear and all that. When you say, like, look for
this period of time, I'm going to do this, mean it.
Stick to your guns and own up and stick to
your priorities. Don't be like, Okay, I'm going to do it,
but oh, you know I can't because I got like, No,

(01:40:54):
you can't be doing it. I don't care who in
Hollywood's up in your ear. You have so much money
and all this stuff to make up. Do your own rules.
And do whatever you want to do. It's just I
remember a long time ago, Kurt, you know, for the
Cody Roads and john Z in the storyline, how you're
telling me how like it's better that you have a

(01:41:15):
heel to do it because it makes it interesting. But
when you look back at it, with all this stuff
that's happened, dude, john Z, just stay the babyface and
how the way that the match ended and with this
coming up, That's why I'm saying that because like I said,
it made zero sense. It made the whole storyline not

(01:41:38):
worth it. What was the whole point?

Speaker 1 (01:41:40):
Well, the night it happened, it was great, like I said, yeah,
the night it was gold and yeah it didn't capitalize,
Yeah exactly. That was great for that one night, but
then in the weeks after, there was no sign of Rock.

Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
See it didn't show up for two weeks, and even.

Speaker 1 (01:41:52):
In those few promos that he did, he focused more
on the fans and actually Cody.

Speaker 2 (01:41:56):
Right.

Speaker 3 (01:41:56):
Yeah, this whole build of this.

Speaker 1 (01:41:57):
Match was, yeah, very disappointing, and probably it wouldn't have
been that much better if they both stayed babyfaces in
all honesty, but yeah, they had something really good here,
and for whatever reason. I'm sure the rock was probably
a part of the plane too. It just did not
materialize the right way.

Speaker 2 (01:42:15):
Dude. Even Dave Matsler said it is one of the
worst wrestle main events of all time.

Speaker 1 (01:42:21):
There's probably been worse ones, but yes, it was not
great one of.

Speaker 2 (01:42:24):
Them, not the where he said one of the worst.

Speaker 1 (01:42:27):
The rock is like losing favor more and more with
like all these different situations. It gets caught up in
where he doesn't come off looking good, like with the
Black Adam stuff and then wrestle Mania last year and
now this whole situation. Yeah, he just really comes off bad.
He might try to like do these things to make
himself look good and like even what he said in
the interview yesterday, Like I guess he was probably trying

(01:42:48):
to do that the same face, but I don't think
it worked.

Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
I don't know. Man.

Speaker 1 (01:42:54):
Yeah, it's funny that he waited all the way until
after WrestleMania to do this interview and actually talk about it.

Speaker 4 (01:43:00):
Man, Huh, you could have given this interview maybe a
week or two ago, but no, he waited all the
way till after WrestleMania, after all the backlash, you know,
after all the questions of where he was.

Speaker 2 (01:43:11):
Yeah, he waited.

Speaker 1 (01:43:12):
Until now to say something. Yeah, bro, it's too bad, man.
I'm sure like a big reason why the WrestleMania build
came off the way he did, just as a whole,
not even just for the main event match. I'm sure
he was a big reason why it was kind of
all over the place, and YO, shame on him.

Speaker 2 (01:43:28):
For that exactly. Just like I said, you gotta you
gotta pick your battles and choose what you're gonna commit
to you. If you're gonna commit to to it, I
don't care for how long it is or for a
short period of time. Commit to it and do not
get distracted by anything else. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:43:49):
And I even saw an elite card for WrestleMania, like
the Elite original plan.

Speaker 2 (01:43:53):
Oh yeah, I saw that too. I saw that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:43:56):
Yeah, some of those matches did look interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:43:58):
I mean, yeah it did.

Speaker 1 (01:44:00):
We had Cody and Sena obviously, but they also had
Ria and Bianco just as a singles match.

Speaker 2 (01:44:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:44:04):
They had Gunther Seth, Rollins and Punk in a three
way that would have been.

Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
The right Yeah. Yeah. They also had a bronze breaker
against Drew McIntire.

Speaker 3 (01:44:16):
That would have been good.

Speaker 2 (01:44:17):
Oh hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:44:18):
And Dominic against Bad Bunny that would have been interesting too,
mm hmm. Yeah, but the WrestleMania came out the way
it did this year, for better or worse, saying yeah,
now on to next year and well back last first,
but now yeah, all roads leads are WrestleMania next year
in New Orleans and fingers crossed, I will be there

(01:44:38):
for it. Yeah, all right, but I think we've said
what we needed to say today. I hope you guys
with WrestleMania weekend and also the raw after, definitely some
incredible stuff went down and it gives us a lot
to look forward to and the coming months and hopefully
they can capitalize on this in ways that they were
not able to capitalize on the WrestleMania build.

Speaker 3 (01:44:57):
But only time will tell.

Speaker 2 (01:45:00):
That's right, ladies and gentlemen. It was a great wrestle
Many weekend. Despite you know, if you liked it or not,

this next week, Kurt, you got anything else to say
before you jet off?

Speaker 3 (01:45:55):
I pretty much said what I needed to say. Thankfully.

Speaker 1 (01:45:58):
Things are looking in the right direction after so Mania
from what we saw on broad Monday. Hopefully that continues
going into SmackDown Friday, and as far as the Rock goes,
if you can't commit full time or at least full
time for that period heading into whatever show it is,
if you can't be here like a full time part
of it, and if you can let them know enough
time in advance that you're going to be a part

(01:46:18):
of it, then just don't be a part of it.

Speaker 3 (01:46:20):
Stay the funk away.

Speaker 1 (01:46:23):
It's not fair to the talent, it's not fair to
the writing team. It's not fair to Triple H. Yeah,
it's some whack ass shit and yo, we need to
cut it out man. Not a good look, all right,
