Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, yo yo. What's going on? My fellow wrestling fans.
Welcome to a brand new week, and welcome to a
brand new, brand new edition of what we like to
call The Clash of Champions, where we dive headfirst into
all the controversy, storylines, personalities, and everything in between that
center around this world we know and love as professional

(00:22):
wrestling for better or worse. I'm your host, the vegan
you believe in conscious Kurt aka the Professor aka Kirk
Gpt in the flesh as always, and my co host
needs no introduction, but the hell with it. He's about
to give you all one anyway.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
That's right, ladies and gentlemen, this is TAC team partner
Jonathan Randall the Adventure himself at your guys' service, and
welcome to our podcast, our soap opera that we love
to call Professional Wrestling, another edition of our episode. As always, Kurt,
how you.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Been been pretty good? With the exception of my next
being down three to one against the Pacers, I'm doing
pretty well. I had a fun weekend. I had a
good Memorial Day where I went to the park, went
to the Prospect Park. It was a lot of fun.
But yeah, my Damn Nicks. One went away. I'm sorry,
one loss away from being eliminated.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
This is you know, man, I had high hopes for you.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
I mean, look, a lot could happened, but the whole
vibe of this whole series is not turning out. Well.
You know, I was really hoping and praying for New
York Knicks in the finals. Man, I wanted to see that.
That would have been so great, good for the league,
for the ratings, and I don't know, man, I just
feel so bad for you guys, franchise and your fan base, man,

(01:36):
because you guys been through a lot and you guys
really needed this. So I don't know, I feel like
it's already over there. But then again, hey, I'm overstepping
my boundaries. But man, oh man, this sucks.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
I still believe we can win tomorrow night because we're
going to be at the Garden, but Game six on
Saturday would be the one I'm really worried about.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I didn't realized that our Triple H was that game for.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, Triple H and Pat McAfee were there last night. Yeah, school,
I'm just playing.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
No, yeah, said the Regie Miller with dale.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I'm grateful they won on Sunday like that. I was
really happy that, you know, they at least pulled that off.
But this series should be tied, as after what the
happening in Game one, the cities should be tied.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
You're right, You're right, it should be tied because you
guys are like, you know, like we said a couple
episodes ago, you know, you guys are up what seventeen points,
be over like two and a half minutes left, and
you guys couldn't control the tempo of the game and
and the fact that it all sort of winning overtime
and just couldn't couldn't rebound back from that, man, And yeah,

(02:46):
you're you're all right, you're right, you the series should
be tied.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Yeah, but I even said going into this series that
Indiana was tough. They were not going to be an
easy team to beat. And yeah, it's not looking good
right now, but I'm not giving up on my knicks
until the series is over.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
True, that is, that's a good point. That it's very true.
But let's just say you guys lose Game five, right
moving forward, because this will be the second straight year
you guys lost to Indiana in the playoffs. Right moving forward,
I mean, this is really going to be bad for
you guys, not just for you know, as a team,

(03:23):
but also for you know, you guys' head coach Ton Thibeau.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Well, I wouldn't go that far. Look, it's not a
series I'm going to want to look back at and
remember if it ends tomorrow night, especially, But regardless, I
do think the Knicks had a great season. I mean,
if you're a Knicks fan, you can't really be mad
at the season we had from going to the conference
finals for the first time in twenty five years. Yeah,

(03:47):
you can't get mad at that. It would be great
if we went to the finals. It would be great
if we were, you know, having a better series Withinianda
than we are now. But win or lose, this was
a good year. I can't call it a bad year,
even with it ending this way.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I don't want to say that it was a bad
year though, But I mean there's gonna be some you know,
rising questions during the off season because you have I mean,
you got you guys acquire called Karl Anthony Towns to
do along with Jalen Brunson, you know, and just you
gotta remember just losing Because I mentioned this on first take,
and I mean they had they had a good take

(04:21):
on this, you know, and then you know, second straight year,
you're losing against the Indiana Pacers, you know, a team
that you've pretty much battled against throughout the years whenever
you guys are in the playoffs, you know what I mean. So,
I mean, I feel like there are there are gonna
be some questions, you know, rolling along if you guys
don't pull this through. I mean, there's gonna be like, Okay,
what's going on? You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
It happens, man, This happens all the time. There's always
that one team that, for whatever reason, you can't beat
in the playoffs. Like I remember, this happened with the
Knison Bulls for years. I remember that was a big
deal for a long time until the Nicks finally beat them,
even though you know Jordan wasn't playing at that point.
And also even the Spurs and the Suns. The Suns

(05:04):
would lose with the Spurs every year in the playoffs,
but then eventually they caught up to them. Okay, yeah,
So I mean it sucks that it's happening right now.
It sucks that, you know, we're losing this series. But
at the end of the day, eventually we are going
to get up in that ass.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I hope. So, man, I mean, ay, you may never know.
You guys may come back down three one. I don't know.
Anything could happen, Anything could happen.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
But yeah, I'm just taking in one game at a
time right now.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
That's all I can That's all you guys could do,
all right.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
But the shift gears into our Pro Wrestling Talk as
it came out actually last week as we were recording
our you Know Wrestling Review rewind episode that ww has
decided to remove WrestleMania forty two from New Orleans, and
although it has not been made official yet, it is
likely going to be taking place in Las Vegas for
the second straight year.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yeah, this is crazy, man, because, like you said, it's
literally happened right after got done recording. This is not
a good thing. I know. Some of my friends here
back home in Vegas were happy about it, and they
were hitting me up like John, John, guess what, you know?
Mania is going to come back to Vegas and I
I had to really had to sit down and talk

(06:16):
with them and be like, look, I don't like it.
And it was a bad unprofessional business move on that
on their part, mainly on TKO's part. Look, I wanted
to go on around and I still am, you know
after the show was over. But when t k O

(06:38):
and w W made their merger last year, I was like,
whatever about it? You know what I mean? Okay, you know,
stuff happens, But when you make decisions like this just
because of money, it is not It is unprofessional. It
is not is not a good deal. It is not.

(06:58):
I get that WRESTLEMANI brought in a lot of money
here to Vegas, and yeah, do I see Vegas hosting
another WrestleMania next three or five years like they said beforehand. Yes,
But at the end of the day, you did back
in February of this year, you did decided that wressell
Mania next yer will be in New Orleans. You stick

(07:20):
to that plan no matter what. And that was unprofessional
to take that away from him just because of the
fact that Vegas made more money. It's also because of
the fact that you were overcharging your fans ticket prices.
I didn't like the moves.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
And you know what's even funnier, guess who came out
to announced that WrestleMania was coming to New Orleans, the Rock. Yeah,
another thing the Rock you know, delivered to the fans,
or like New was he delivered to the fans that
he didn't follow up on.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, man, And it's what I feel bad. And here's
the thing, role you know, TKO makes this statement saying,
how like, oh you know that, you know Vegas made
so much money and blah blah blah and all that,
but they're obviously not smart enough, smart enough to think
about Well, okay, the last two times Wressellmania was in
Orleans twenty fourteen and twenty eighteen, they made a lot

(08:10):
of profit from that event alone. And let's not forget
earlier this past February, the super Bowl was just in Orleans.
So I don't know what they're talking about. How oh
they could have profit over more money because the fact
it's in Vegas. So I don't It was a very
unprofessional move. I don't like. It is not good for business,

(08:33):
and I get it. Well, you know, John, guess what
russell Mania was in Atlantic City two years in a
row back in eighty eight and eighty nine. Guys, business
was different back then. That was a different business. Back then.
Revenue was different.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
And those WrestleMania sucked too.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Still though, but I mean revenue and business was different
at the time, but you don't see them doing that anymore.
So it's it's I feel bad for the Mayia or
whoever in New Orleans had that opportunity snatch away from
them over decision was pretty much based off of greed
when you really think about it, and TKL This shows

(09:10):
how TK doesn't care about their fans. All they care
about is money, and I don't like it.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah, that's basically me. The best way you could describe
them is that all they care about is profit and
their bottom line, even if they price out the loyal
fans who've been going to shows for years or whoever
it is. Yeah, all they care about is that dollar.
And yeah, just doing it like this after you already
promised it to them, if you already announced it a
few months ago, just to give it back to Vegas again.

(09:34):
Look if they had waited, if they waited till after
Russemania this year and saw how much money they made
then made that choice, that would have been one thing.
But just to like already promise it to one city
and then go back a few months later and say,
oh never mind, we're gonna bring it back here instead. Yeah,
that's not a good look.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
That's like having the super Bowl in the same city
two years in a row, you know what I mean?
And even Jonathan Coachman rant it about.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Jonathan Coachman.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Okay, hold on, but we're not talking about the other
stuff we're talking about. I'm talking about he ran it
about the situation. That's what I'm talking about. Even though
I do not agree with the other stuff that he says,
he ran it on this situation. I agree with what
he's saying, Like, that's like having a super Bowl in
two straight years in the same city. That's not fair.
You have to be fair and have to give your

(10:24):
other cities an opportunity and a chance to host this event.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah, they definitely should. But it's not even just that.
Like if they had just like waited after WrestleMania this
year to announce where it was going to be next year,
and they had never, like, you know, promise it to
New Orleans, that would have been one thing. But the
fact that they promised it to them, made a big
announcement or we started promotion for it and then just
went back on it. That's the part that looks the worst.

(10:52):
And yeah, having it in the same city two years
in a row is a little weird. It has not
been done since, Yeah, WrestleMania four and WrestleMania five. I'm
a little bittersweet because I feel like I'm maybe going
to get a second chance to go to Vegas for
WrestleMania after I missed out in it this year. But
at the same time, I do think that it was
wrong to do it this way.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah, you can say that now. Part of me, I know,
get what you're saying. Part of me was like, oh,
well great, I get to redeem myself from earlier this year. Well,
how because they made the decision based off of money,
that means that the ticket prices are not going to
go down anytime soon. It's going to pretty much be
the same or probably more than earlier this year, you

(11:37):
know what I mean. So you're still kind of like,
well down, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah, I was kind of have to go to New
Orleans and I never been to New Orleans before.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
But in New Orleans is a great We raved we
raved about how New Orleans is a great WrestleMania host city. Man,
We talked about that. I mean they've been there twice.
Look at the money that they made off from that
event alone, Kurt, what it did for the city. And
you're gonna say that, well, Vegas, you know, would have

(12:08):
did more and blah blah blah. And then this, this
is one thing, a statement that I that I read
from them on Twitter. They this kind of insulted me
when I read this. They mentioned how like will Vince
McMahon would not have done this, and I'm like, dude,
Vince would have. Of course, Vince would not have done it.
He would not have put a Russell in the same
city two years in a row.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Come on, well he did it back then. I mean
maybe now he wouldn't do it, but yeah, back then,
I mean I know back.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Then though, But that's what I'm saying, though the times
were different back then.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Also another fact that we have to Another fact that
you have to also consider is the fact that with
w W being linked to UFC and the fact that
UFC holds a lot of their fights in Vegas, a
lot of the big events in Vegas. Now it seems
like ww's like following the suit.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
See, And that's another thing I don't like.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
And apparently it's gonna be like a lot of Rustlemania's
coming to Vegas from now on.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Yeah, I see it. I don't like that. See that's
that's that's where as a fan, when I saw this situation, now,
I'm really starting to question their motives from TKO because
I don't like it. It's like you have to you
have to spread out and be fair to you.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Give them another give them another event, give them a
World Rumble, give them Summer Slam. Yeah they had Summer
Slam there a couple of years ago. Yeah, give them
another event.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah, but your biggest event of the year, Russell Mania.
Come on, now, you can't do that. It was unprofessional,
unprofessional all I have to say about that. And I
don't like it. And and for those everybody here at home,
you know, like sorry to crush it, but that's how
I feel. I'm not happy about it. If somebody else

(13:48):
asked me about it, like hey, you know, Mane's coming here,
I'm gonna straight up to tell it was like, look,
as I told everybody else, I'm not happy about it.
What they did was unprofessional. You don't do that.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yeah, But as a consolation prize, New Orleans is going
to get money in the bank next year, which is
gonna be actually happening in late August SummerSlam. Very weird again,
another decision and situation. I was just like, what are
the hell are they are? They are these guys.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Doing money in the bank is before it's literally like
the middle of the summer either Jeneral July before SummerSlam,
and yeah, like I just I just all right, look,
w you're gonna you gotta make your ollins feel better,
like oh, you're gonna take away wrestle Mania, but yeah,
you're gonna give us money to the bank.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Okay, look w W From a product perspective and yeah,
storyline and creative perspective, it is definitely a lot better
now that it was when Vince was still in charge
those last few years. But just some of these business
moves and like the over and like all these damn
ads they throw in our face and having these damn
like ads all over the fucking mad Yeah, it has
become overkill. And not to mention charge, you're gonna arm

(14:54):
in lake tickets.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I'm telling you, I've I've been saying this for months,
Like look, as far as the product and everything, they're
knocking the park they're hitting home runs. I plod them
on their on the product, but as the business side
of it, I just don't like what they're doing. It's
just it's it's just weird, you know, especially with all
the sponsors and stuff. And look, I've I've been totally

(15:19):
against the whole mat, the ads on the mat for
the longest time. I don't like it. I hate it.
Hates a strong word, but I hate it. It's just
what's what's the whole point is too much. We get
it on a business side that you know, money and
all that stuff, but you don't have to put it
all in their faces like that, like on the ape
and on the mat. It's like it's too much.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
So yeah, they they only have room for like what
five six matches on the PLS, And yeah, half of
the time in the PLS it's dedicated to these ads,
but shit, do you even want to buy?

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Right?

Speaker 1 (15:51):
It's just I'm not going to wing Stop.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
I mean for you, Kurt, I mean I like wing Stop.
It still.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Where some of this madness they're putting us through Woodstop.
But that's another story. But yeah, weird move on w
W East part. I mean, I don't know if I'm
gonna go to WrestleMania this year. I'm definitely going to
Summer Slam. I'm actually probably gonna buy my ticket this weekend.
Definitely going to Summer Slam. They've been having a lot
of eventsive Medlife Stadium the last few weeks. They had
Your Care with there. A few weeks ago, they had
Kendrick and Sizzo. They had Beyonce there last week. They've

(16:23):
been having mad eventsive Medlife recently.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Oh that's good. Yeah, I forgot about.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
But it was bad though. It was It was bad
though a few weeks ago because the New Jersey Transit
went on strike.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
What the hell is going on with with you guys
over there? Man, It's like, I feel like you got
your subway stations just have just a bunch of problems
these days, man, Like for years, what's going on? Man?

Speaker 1 (16:50):
What's school in New York? The New York New Jersey
like transit public transportation system. It's convenient in many ways,
it's very convenient. But yeah, there's a lot of fun
that go was on strike. It came to some kind
of agreement with the strike, but still, yeah, there's a
lot of going on.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Is the employees with pay is it what was going.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
On with a bunch of that stuff? Yeah, basically a
bunch of that stuff, et cetera.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
I many it's every time. It's just like when it
comes to events, man, I feel like every other event,
there's always something going on with the Turnpike situation.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
And I'm like, I think, I think when I go
to SummerSlam, even though my life Stadium is only a
fifty minute trip from you know, Madison Square Garden, then
you have New York, I think I'm probably just gonna
get a hotel closed by for the weekend so I
could avoid those problems.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
You know, it was funny. I was joking with my
girlfriend's brother because if you guys went to the finals
or or let's say you guys won the championship this year,
I was joking around, like, bro, I'm gonna have to
tell you to find shelter somewhere in the city, Dude.
That city is going to be burned to the ground

(18:04):
if you guys, not even you guys just won the finals.
If you made it to the finals, the statue of
Liberty Kurt will be torn down if that were to happen.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
They gotta swim all the way over there just to
get this.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Still they would, I I'm talking they would, they would, Kurt.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Yeah, those videos. I was seeing it, like the celebration
after they beat the Celtics, where like people were like
jumping off of the street signs and like, yeah, causing
a whole bunch of rockets. I think that's another reason
maybe why we're going through what we're going through in
this series right now, because I feel like maybe be
jingstar celves by celebrating too hard for winning that series. Yeah,
because we were literally celebrating like we won the championship. Look,

(18:44):
it was a great accomplishment to finally I know. But yeah, still,
I know.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
But it's like, you guys been through a lot though,
you know what I mean. Yeah, That's why I really
want you guys to be in the finals because that
would be great, man, Because like I was watching highlights
from the ninety four finals and I was like, damn,
I really wish you guys could get back to that.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Man, that was our one chance that your Jordan retired.
We beat the Bulls, and the bull still pushed us
to Game seven even without Jordan. If we went through
that crazy ass series with the Pacers and we beat
them in seven, and then we go all the way
to seven against the Rockets and we don't get the
job done.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
And you guys had a just guys had a loaded team.
And then I was watching your guys is intro. You're
the guys is line starting lineup intro, and I was like,
oh my god, because I've never seen it before, right,
And I was listening to the song and everyone was like,
oh my god, that's a very catchy song you guys
got going on. I was like, I got amped up.

(19:41):
And I'm not even a Knicks fan. I was watching this.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
I was like, Wow, I'm just like, yeah, broadcast the
starting lineups during the finals Again. I missed that.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Yeah. Yeah, maybe they'll do that next year when they
go back on NBC.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Hey. Possibly. But in any event, let's move on to
some actually wrestling product related news as opposed to business moves.
We did have Saturday Night's Main Event take place this
past Saturday from Tampa, Florida, the first of three events
that took place in Tampa. And speaking of yes, they
take place on NBC, And much like the past Saturday

(20:17):
Night's Main events we've been having ever since they rebooted
it back in December. This is basically a house show
with a bigger budget, but there were some angles that
did come out of this show, and one of those
man angles took place in the opening matches. We had
Sammy z Ay and CM Punk team up against Seth
Rollins and bron Breaker, and during the match we saw
an appearance from the returning Bronson Reid who tsunami CM

(20:39):
Punk through the railing, which was nasty as hell to see,
and then Sammy's a was distracted by this and this
led to him getting speared by bron Breaker, So bron
Breaker and Rollins picked up the win. Then after the match,
like Breaker was like kind of looking at Bronson Read
all like suspiciously, and then Seth Rollins gave him a hug,
which lidified that Bronson Read is now the newest member

(21:00):
of their stable.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
This is crazy, how like what like a year ago
Bronson Reid you know, entered Seth Rowlins at one point
and this happens. The numbers have gotten bigger.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Yes, sixth tsunamis he hit him with Yeah back in August.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
Yeah, the numbers got part of Seth Rollins bron Breaker.
Now Bronson Reid along with Paul Hayman.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
This almost reminds me of the time of when Kobe
Bryant and Matt Barnes got into it with Matt Barnes
was on the Magic when you try to throw the
ball in his face and Kobe didn't flinch, And then
all of a sudden, a few months later, Kobe calls
Matt Barnes and asks him to be a part of
the Lakers, and he's like, Yo, anybody who's crazy enough
to step to me that way is crazy enough to
play on the same team as me, and then became
best friends after that.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
All right, but anyway, Yeah, so Bronson reads now part
of the stable, and he even gave to seam punk
a tsunami for his troubles. So yeah, it looks like
I guess Samy Zane's not joining their crew anymore, which
actually I prefer it this way. I prefer Bronson me
being a part of the crew. I think it's definitely
a much better fit. And yeah, they're gonna be running
rough shot now.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Yeah, you have to see what that's gonna happen. But
you know, this is really good for Bronson reed though,
you know what I mean too, Just great in this situation.
This is really good.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
I like this, so yeah, it's great for him. Yeah,
it's gonna it's like the best opportunity he's had.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
In his career so far, of course ever since. I mean,
don't get me wrong, his feud with braun Stroman was great,
but this situation right here, all this ten times better.

Speaker 1 (22:33):
And hell, there's fewer Rollins never really had like a
proper conclusion because you know, he got hurt in the
Workings match and true. Yeah, but other than that, on
Saturday night's main event, we did have Selina Vega defend
the women's United States title against Chelsea Green. Honestly, this
match was probably the weakest part of the show. I
hate to say. There was one point where's Alena Vega

(22:53):
attempted a six to one nine and it yeah, it
didn't really go well.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
And then I think saw that she didn't really Yeah, yeah,
I didn't go well.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
And I think in that spot or some other spot
in the match, she like hit Chelsea Green in the
nose and like against broke her nose because you noticed
after the match Chelsea Green was bleeding from her nose,
and yeah, it did not look great.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Isn't she taking some time off after this, I heard.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
I don't know, we'll get into that with somebody else
in a few minutes. But Zelena Vega predictedly so did
retain the title in this match. I don't know if
this few is gonna continue, but who knows. But yeah,
by far the weakest part of the show. And then
we had in a non title match, we had Our
Truth going against his hero, the man he looked up

(23:36):
to even ever since he was little, even though this
person is younger than him, the ww champion John Cena.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
And Our Truth came out to hering literally dressed as
John Zena.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
That was pretty funny.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
I'm sure everything he had his own shirt, the wristbands
and all that.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Yeah, that was cool. That's probably the highlight of this
whole match because to no surprise, John's picked up the
win with some cheating tactics. And yeah, there wasn't much
to this beyond that. It was what it was. We
all pretty much expected this, so yeah, it was like
I said, it was a match.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Yeah. But the next match, this was personally like my
favorite match of the night, and it was a still
cage match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Which was commentated by Jesse the Body Ventura.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
How do you think you feel he did? He got
a little He's so heated at the end of the match.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
It's not even just that, it was the fact that,
like he kept like talking over the ring announcer when
the ring announcer was doing the announcements. Yeah, just certain
parts of his announcing kind of threw me off a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Okay, I mean, yeah, I mean that was the what yeah,
I mean.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I mean for when he's older. For two, he doesn't
really do it regularly like he used to. So you know,
I'm not gonna, you know, crucify him over it. But yeah,
those were things I noticed. And then the match between
Drew and Damien Priest was good, but I'm probably sure
that I'm pretty sure they were probably limited, considering that
McIntire opened up recently about how they could barely move
his head to like the left side.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah, I when I read about that, I knew. I
was like, yeah, Damian Priest is definitely going over because
McIntyre needs to take some time off. And I love
the ending how they sold it. That was a great
That was a great way to finish that match. I
love how Drew mcintower was literally was trying to do

(25:34):
the same finish what he did to Damien Priest at
Wresselmania did to Claymore kick while his head while Damian
Priest's head was close to the to the stilled chair,
but he missed, and then he does the South of
Heaven and then insult the injury. He does a concerto
that that's sold crazy.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
And yeah, Damian Priest picked up the win by walking
out of the cage.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Yeah, that was I was watching. That was kind of
like he could. It wasn't necessary that. It was the
fact that he kind of took his time when he
was doing it. That that kind of like, uh, I
scratched my head when I saw that he took his
time when he did It's like he like he wanted
like he was about to leave, and then he turned
back like he wanted to do something else, and he
kind of hesitating. He's like, all right, I'm just gonna

(26:22):
walk out, And I was like, that was a bit weird.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
I think this was the first time I've ever seen
a baby Face win a cage match by just walking
out of the door.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Yeah. Usually they'll either win it by pinfall or climb
climbing over the Yeah, climbing over the still cage.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
But yeah, yeah, in a way, I would have rather
had him win by pinfall. I think that probably would
have been better. But yo, Jess was hot over the
fact that Davey and Priest won the match that Whey
he lost his fucking mind talking about He's like saying,
you might as well have a taxi come and pick
him up from the side door of the cage and

(26:58):
take him back dressing for bringing back to those old
cards from WrestleMania six.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
Yeah, you know what. Somebody on on Twitter and I
even posted it like we need more commentators like that.
That's literally pro heal. You have to put some more
enthusiasm to churn for the heel. You can't be like, oh,
you know little you know, side by side with the

(27:27):
baby face nod man, be full heel support the heel man.
I miss that.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yeah, I hear you. I wish we did have like
more of that. Maybe, I guess maybe we have it
a little bit from Wade Barrett to a degree, but
overall it's not like, yeah, it with Jesse Vinzura. I
think Jerry Lawler for a while to also Hateman and.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Don't forget oh Man, Bobby heenan.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Oh goals without saying yeah, Bobby Heening was a gene. Yeah,
but Damien Priese picked up the win here and only
the third cage match in the history of Saturday Night's
main event, and the first one that I involve Hulk Hogan.
You know. It's it's odd though, Like, you know, obviously
we're not Hogan fans, but it's actually odd that, like
in that opening promo package before the show starts, they
don't put him in it at all.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Oh, I need to see that again.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Yeah, they have like DBIC, they have Macho Man, Rick Rude,
all those guys. But yeah, it's weird that they would
exclude Hogan because that show was like literally built around him.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Yeah, but whenever I watched WW programming, they're still advertising
his beer sometimes.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
The only way I advertise it is is if I
were like, you know, holding a cannbin and then just
pouring it down the toilet. All right, I don't even
like beer like that, but that's another story. So yeah,
they mean, please picks up the win. Andrew McIntire, Yes,
it's gonna be off TV for the foreseeable future. To
heal the injuries he's dealing with right now, and hope
he gets back soon and fully recovered.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Hopefully he will be back in time for you know,
maybe towards end of the ear for Survivors series, because
I'm hearing like a fantasy matchup where it will be
him Rowlins bron Breaker, Bronson Reed versus you know, Roman, Raine, Seth, Rolins,
Sammy Zain, you know that matchup as Survivor series so well,

(29:18):
you know, little fantasy fans put out in the air.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Yeah, I don't know how long he's gonna be gone for.
He could be gone for a month, he could be
gone for six months. But however much time he needs
to heal to get better, you take that time.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
M H.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
All right, So on to the main event for the
World Heavyweight Championship. We had Jay Uso defending against the
douchebag fuck Logan Paul Society's More.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Before the match, yeah, but before the match started, Jay
Russo and John Tena had a face to face confrontation backstage.

Speaker 1 (29:52):
And yeah, like John Tena confronted Jay Huso and Jay
Usso said, yeah, the last time I saw you, I
threw you out of the world rumble match, and then
John Cena was talking about how horrible it would be
for ja Uso to lose his title to a YouTuber
and in that sense, by him losing it to a YouTuber,
that would ruin wrestling, and then talked about how he
would be watching the match. And then there was one

(30:13):
point where jay Uso actually had the match won and
then lo and behold, John Cena pulls the referee out
and screws jay Uso.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Yeah pretty much, sir, you know, both beating him up.
But then the unexpected happened. I knew this was gonna happen.
Cody Rhodes makes his return for the first time since
Russell Mania.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Yes, John Cena and Logan Paul were double seeming jay
Uso up and so yeah Cody Roads. His music hit,
the crowd went crazy. Cody Roads, who hauled the ass
thing just like his wife had told him, go we
have a babysitter to night, So now just the two
of us tonight. That's all fast. He was running so
day he came into the ring, he started beating down
John Cena laid him out with the Crossroads and as

(30:58):
Logan Paul was up to Shenanigan is about to use
some brass knuckles on the Cody Road j Usso hit
him with a super kick the splash from the top
rope and he got the pin to retain his title.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
And then right after the match, he announces that he's
back and that you have your partner, you have your man,
Logan Paul, Well, guess what I have mine. I'll see
you at Money of the Bank. So it's gonna be
Cody Rhodes and Jay Usso versus John Cena and Logan
Paul in a tack team match.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
This should be interesting. It's funny. I heard it was
gonna be another match before this ended up going down
on Saturday. I heard it was gonna be Cody, j
and Jimmy Usso against Sena, Logan Paul and Travis Scott.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
No, no, no, no, Travis Scott. No, I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
What if Travis Scott is as good as bad Bunny?

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Hell no, how do you know?

Speaker 1 (31:55):
You haven't seen him have a match yet.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Kurt A Skyt could he what I saw what he
did at Many it was just what I saw was enough.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
I was like, No, the way it was used was trash. Yeah,
the way it was using the way he played off
his trash. But I'm saying, in an actual match, what
if he's actually good. I'm not saying I'm like, you know,
aching to see it right now, but I'm saying, what
if he ends up surprising us?

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Until I heard he's been training, then yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Yeah, you didn't know that. No, yeah, I've been here
in four a minute. He's been training to be a wrestler. No.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
I did not hear that though, But I don't know, man,
Just what happened at many leffasur tastes in my mouth
when the rockmns show up. But yeah, Travis Scott was
just like, I don't know about that, just too much,
Travis Scott. Sorry, well, yeah, you know. I love Travis Scott.
I love his music though, but it was just like, nah, man,
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Honestly, I would rather see the tag match that I
mentioned last week with Jalen Brunson and somebody against us
Summerson though, yeah, yeah, they gotta do it. I think
they're going to actually all right, But in any event,
before SummerSlam, that's still a couple months away. We do
have money in the bank coming up from LA close
to your neck of the woods, but a week and

(33:13):
a half left, right, yeah, ten days away. It's starting
to shape up.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
We have.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
We have Cody Rose and j Uso against Sena and
Logan Paul. We have the men's Money in the bank,
which so far has La Nights Solo Socoa Penta, who
won an incredible triple threat match on Raw Monday along
with Dragonly and Chad Gable. That match, that match was crazy.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
Happy for he needed that position. I'm happy that he's
in this match.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
So yes. And also another person who qualified this past
Monday on Raw was Seth Rollins in a great triple
threat main event with Sammy Zain and Finn Balor. It
was so crazy how this finish happened, where like literally
Dominic Mysterios slid a chair to Finn Balor, but then
it backfired and Rolin hit the kurb stop on the
fin on the chair and Rolin's qualified.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Dirty Domin is in so much heat right now.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
Oh yes, he's in heat with Finn match, He's in
heat with the Live Morgan now that Roxanne Perez. Yeah,
liv Morgan returned as Roxane Perez was offering Dominic her
chicken fingers, take that however you want, and yeah, she
was not happy and.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
And speaking of that, Roxanne Perez kind of costs Live
Morgan her chance to be in a women's money to
Bank Lauder match as well.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Well, that wasn't a qualifying match.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
Yeah, it was a qualified match.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
No, it wasn't.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
I thought it was.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
No, it wasn't a qualifying match.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
No.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
She did interfere in Live Morgan's match on Raw against
Kyrie Zane. She pushed Kyrie Zane off the top rope
as Raquel was distracting the referee. But Raquel got mad
at Roxanne started arguing with her, and this argument got
Lived distracted and that led to Live losing the match
to Kyrie. But backstage afterwards, Live blamed Raquel for the loss,
not Roxanne.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
This is not good tensions and tag team champions, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
And this is gonna saw that damn finning ballast fault.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Hell yeah, because she was the one who brought Rocks
and Press in the first place. Is starting all the
tension of turmoil. Man, she getting I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
She brings like dominic mysterio, like a whole plate of
chicken senders, Like yo, that dude's gonna get sick if
he eats all those It was a whole, big old play.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
You saw big that plate was.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
Yeah, I'm so happy I'm Vegan. I don't eat that
ship anymore. But yeah, that's a lot of dead chickens. Yo, geez.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
And then I'm telling you, dude, look moving.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Forward, Carledo apples, she got Carlito a whole bunch of apples.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
I'm telling you Live Morgan in Raquel, they don't get it.
They're act together. They're gonna end up losing those titles
because of Rocks and Press.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
What were they gonna lose it to. There's no damn
teams in the women's division right now.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
Well, I mean men never know. It will come up
anytime soon everybody, but eventually they are going to drop
it because of Roxanne Perez. So you see what happened
to Destension. She blames Raquel because of her loss, So
just keep your eyes open on that moving forward.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Yeah, But what Live Morgan did say was that she
was going to campaign to Adam Pierce to get a
qualifying match, which will probably happen this Monday on Raw.
And with Roxanne Perez already qualifying for the women's Money
in the Bank, I see Live Morgan also qualifying, getting
herself into the match too. M h course, yeah, I
could see so like they could play off that more. Also, Julia,
who's now a part of SmackDown, qualified last week with

(36:36):
a winovers Alina Vega and Charlotte Flair. Also, Alexa Bliss
qualified too. Alexa Bliss will be in it, and this
Friday on SmackDown, we have an interesting qualifying match between Naomi,
Jade Cargill and Naya Jacks.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Yeah, this is an interesting one.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
And also in addition to that, Bianca bell airas schedule
to return this Friday.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
To Yes, you know she's gonna interfere in that match.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Yeah, she's gonna play a factor in that match. I
definitely see it a mile away. But fingers crossed, I
hope Naomi wins. I hope Naomi gets into the money
in the bank. Yeah, I hope Naomi gets into the
money in the bank. And honestly, I would say, between
her or Roxane Perez, I hope one of those two
win it.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
Okay, you know what if that were to happen, if
I had to pick, I will pick Roxane Perez because
of what she's been doing right now with Judge Billy
and everything, and that's like the perfect Yeah, that'll be Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
Yeah, I could definitely see her winning it.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
I would love to do nothing against Naomi, you know
what I mean. But but it's just what I'm seeing
where she's involved right now is like she's involved with
just with everybody right now. Now. I'MI is just like
involved with with Jake Cargo right now, you know what
I mean. But when you look at Roxane Perez, it's like, Wow,
this whole lot of tension going on.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
So I wouldn't be mad if she, you know, wins,
I wouldn't be mad at that because it would make sense.
She's in a storyline with Judgment Day. She was already
in the World Rumble and had that record time for
the amount of time she was in there. She was
an elimination chamber, had a good performance there. She like
did those matches with Oscar and you know Ria like
a right after WrestleMania, like those tag matches with Julia.

(38:24):
So yeah, she's like in a real good spot right now.
And yeah, she could definitely be the money in the bank.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
And it's crazy she's like the youngest, She's the youngest
wrestler on the roster. She's only twenty three.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Yeah, she was born the same year as WrestleMania seventeen.
Crazy to think about god, insane, But yeah, we have
the we have the men's and women's qualifying matches. We
have a few more qualifying matches to go before it's all,
you know, said and done. Also this Friday, out smack,
then we're gonna have a qualifying match between Jacob Fatu

(38:58):
Carmelo Hayes and qualifying match. Yeah, qualifying match. I could
see Jacob Batu probably winning, but in all honestly, I
think Carmelo Hayes needs it more.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
True though I've been you know how I feel about
Carmelo Hayes. I've been that pro Carmelo Hayes ever since
his day is in NXT, even when he moved to
the main roster. I wanted him to succeed. This will
be really good for him. But at the same time,
if Jacob Faughtu won that match, I would not be
surprised because we remember Salasako was on there and those two

(39:34):
in that match, I mean, they'll cost tension later down
the row, maybe started feudal with each other, So I
want to be surprised at Jako Fatu one.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Yeah, neither would I, but only time will tell. He
would definitely be a great addition to that match. I
think you would definitely go on a tear.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
We had that coming up this Friday on Smack on
that qualifying match, and yeah, the card shaping up pretty good.
We had too money in the and qualifying matches. We
have the tag match also, it's been added as of
Raw last Monday, is a rematch for the women's in
her Continental title as we're gonna have Lyra Valkira or
Valkyria defending against Becky Lynch.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Yes, and if Becky Lynch loses, this will be her
last opportunity, last chance.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Yes. Becky and Lyra had a segment on Raw Monday
where basically Becky said if she lost at Money in
the Bank, she will not challenge Libra for that title again.
But if she wins, Libra has to look her in
the eyes and raise her hand.

Speaker 2 (40:35):
Yeah, we kind of know where this is gonna happen
a little. Lyra Bakira got a great win, great match
over her at Backlash. But yeah, Becky Whench is definitely
gonna win this match though early prediction.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Yeah, I could definitely see that. But I've been liking
the work Libra has been doing, even on the mic. Yeah,
I feel like she's definitely been holding her own in
this feud ever since it started.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Yeah, yeah, i'd liked her like mic work, how she
goes off with Becky back and forth. Yeah, she really
holds her road. Obviously the matches have been top notched
that she's been in. So yeah, I've been liking this reign.
And yeah, this view with Becky is definitely gonna do
real big things for her because it already has so far.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Oh yeah, of course.

Speaker 1 (41:16):
Yeah, I just like that line she said that I
don't mind raising the hand of someone better than me,
but it's just too bad if that hasn't been you yet.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Yeah, and it also he love how she mentioned how
like raising other people's hands with something you rarely do.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
I like, or like when Becky was like saying, well,
I was going going home to my hot husband after
our match, you were stuck in the hospital with your
weird looking fiance and then oh, my livers, like your
hot husband's the only talented thing about you.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
See the back and forth?

Speaker 1 (41:49):
Man, Yeah that's great, man.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Yeah, that's the perfect person to do with Becky, like
that's why they put her in this feud.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
So yeah, yeah, I'm telling you man, it's a lot
of the women have been like really getting elevated to
that next level, Like I would say ever since this
year started, from Lyra, Ya Stratton and EO Sky. Yeah,
those three the main ones I can mention, and like
ever since the start of twenty five literally, like from
Tiffany Stratton winning the title, from Naya Jackson cashing in

(42:15):
the money in the bank like right after New Year's
and like EO Sky the run she's going on to
now Lyra, Yeah, they've been doing work, yeah, ever since
this show is Yeah, yeah, it's good to see, Like
now it's not just Charlotte and Ria Bianca and lives
also in that mix to live you could also throw
in that mix. Yeah, like her entrance and her theme music. Yeah,

(42:38):
her theme music fits her, like her theme music fits
are a lot better as a heel than it did.

Speaker 2 (42:41):
When she was a babyface. I agree, I see, Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Right, but that's another story. So yeah, that's money in
the bank so far. I'm sure there's at least one
more match that's going to be added to the show
within the next week or so. But yeah, it looks
like a pret solid show. Yeah, it looks like a
slid show. And also since Jay Us retained this title
against the douchebag Logan Paul it Saturday night's main event,
he has Goon Throw awaiting him on the June ninth

(43:07):
row from Phoenix.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
Yeah, and had a great promo segment with each other
in the ring.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
That's not what a well. Goon Throw was good in
that segment. But yeah, I mean Jay Russel's part in
it has been getting heavily criticized. It looked like he
kind of like the same thing. It kind of looked
like he didn't remember his lines. And that's like what
gun Through was saying, and all all the things going
Through was saying, like you know, for Jay has like
come back to me that it wasn't really on the

(43:36):
same level.

Speaker 2 (43:37):
Kind of like Phil's like the stuff that he says
in his promos are a little bit repetitive, kind of
like he says the same thing a little bit.

Speaker 1 (43:43):
Like one one word for letters.

Speaker 2 (43:46):
You know that no no no, that no no, not
that part. I love that part. That's your look. You
have to have your catchphrase.

Speaker 1 (43:53):
No that's fine, that's fine, But it felt like it
was like kind of playing off that too much in
this scenario.

Speaker 2 (43:59):
Well, no, I'm talking about that. It's kind of like
we're okay. When, for example, when Guth's done, you know,
Jay us be like are you finished? You know, and
he'd be like, I gotta you know, prove blah blah
blah and all that stuff. It's kind of like, I
don't know. It's like some of the stuff that he
was saying is kind of like kind of like you
felt like you said that a week ago, a week

(44:19):
before that, you know what I mean, a little bit
repetitive if that's kind of like the vibe I'm getting
from him a little bit.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
The one thing going through like pointing out that it
was interesting when he talked about how like, the reason
why Jay is in championship ma Cereal is because he
cares too much about other people. He cares too much
about fighting his friend's battles. But me, the reason why
I could stay champion so long because I only care
about myself myself, And.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
He got all regret that Hell, yes, that's the man
right there. It was a part of me. Kurtis like
I want Guthro to win.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
Gonna lie, oh man, I think some angles planned for
that match, So I don't think he's going to shit,
I know. And I think we could see the return
of a certain somebody who's having returned. Yes, yes, yes,
I know, especially since Saturday Night's main event in July

(45:12):
is going to be in Atlanta along with the Evolution Show.
Even the Evolution Show is coming back one yeah, July thirteenth,
taking all over at O my former city. It's funny
my brother and his family are now moving from Atlanta
to really yeah, Like I was one of the reasons
why they ended up moving to Atlanta, and now that

(45:33):
I'm gone, among other reasons, now they're leaving too.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
Why are they leaving now?

Speaker 1 (45:40):
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Atlanta's
a great city. I love Atlanta. I definitely want to
go back and visit, But just living there, for me
at least, it just never clicked. Like out of any
plate I've lived in that I've left throughout my life.
I hate to say it, but Atlanta, especially for my
experiences when I live there, it's the place that I

(46:01):
missed the least.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
Hmmm. Interesting.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Yeah, like It's nothing personal against the city, but just
my experience living there and my time there, it just
didn't really go well. I'm still kind of trying to
recover the people. But the people there, I mean, the
people are fine. Yeah, it wasn't the people. It was
just like kind of like where I was how things
were going. I mean, not that dating isn't toxic in
other places, but dating can really be toxic there. Like

(46:26):
just some of the things I would hear, like my
female coworkers say about like the guys they want to
be with and like some of their ridiculous standards and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
Yeah, kind of yeah, like oh wow, man, wow, you know,
like the typical shit you see that's crazy. I never
It's just I'm sort of going off topic, but it's
just weird. I never really came across female like I
don't know, like the female friends in my circle, I
never I just I don't know, I never heard them

(46:54):
say that. I never came across females past present that
like that had that. Maybe I'd never asked them though,
but I just never Just the female friends that I've
been around just don't come off as the person that like,
oh I want this, this this and now have high

(47:14):
standards for men and dating.

Speaker 1 (47:16):
You know, like the typical shit you see online, like
oh my man, better pay my bills even if we're
just this, you better pay for that. I'm not doing this.
I'm not doing that. This is beneath me, Like I'm
prime example, like that video that went viral of like
you know that one dude who took a date to
the cheesecake factory and she like like thought that she

(47:37):
was like too good to go to the cheesecake factory,
like it was beneath her. Yeah, like IP, I came
across certain girls like that a lot out there.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
Admittedly, Wow, I never me I never came across women
or like that. It's crazy'd be surprised, man.

Speaker 1 (47:51):
Yeah, that's why I kind of like got to the
point where like it felt good to like write this
song is about them. Yeah, I'm not gonna look. Yeah,
I think that was actually the cheesecake factory he took
the girl too. I think I might have been the
one I worked at because I recognized the area.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
Oh that one was in Atlanta. I didn't know I
didn't even know where it was at.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
Now would look. But yeah, my thing is is like Yo,
it's okay to have standards, it's okay to like, you know,
not tolerate disrespect and not tolerate you know, being treated
poorly and whatnot. But then there's a big difference between
having standards and having preferences.

Speaker 2 (48:30):
Yeah, you can't ask for a whole lot and then
you can't and then not expect to do your part.
I feel like a lot of exactly yeah, because I
heard this on social media too, Like how you know
women are getting offended when they're asked, well, what do
you bring to the tables? This is not it's not

(48:52):
a like a bad question to ask if you're asking this,
this and that from a man in a relationship and
solely fair, Okay, what are you gonna do on your part?
What are you gonna do? I'm not talking about money
or anything like that or what kid do you do?
You can't expect the man or not you know, whoever

(49:12):
man or a woman to do their their part and
you're not doing anything. Doesn't work like that.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
I just don't like that mentality of like, yes, just
a lot of these women who like have this attitude
of like demanding so much and like, you know, asking
so much of you but yet they offer a little
to nothing in return.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
Or they just get offended when you ask them, Hey,
what do you bring your table? And they're just like, oh, like,
there's nothing wrong with asking that question.

Speaker 1 (49:36):
I bring me to the table. That's their answer.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
The answer, are you gonna If I'm gonna do all
this for me, you might as well buy you a
erupt with championship belt.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
Then shit, certain cases, chances are like the right dude
will be willing to do certain things for you, like
by you certain gifts, tike you on certain vacations if
you don't axle damn entitled about it?

Speaker 2 (50:00):
Right?

Speaker 1 (50:02):
Yeah, that's like one thing I've even learned with dating
girls myself, Like I was able to be treated like
a certain way, maybe like rewarded with certain things from
certain girls, but I never acted like they owed me
those things or acted like I was entitled to those things.
Like even when it came to sex, if they said, oh,
I don't want to have sex until we've known each
other this long dated, this long, et cetera, I'm like, okay, cool,
no problem, and then chances are well and I'm having

(50:22):
sex a lot sooner than you know they said Initially.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
M m you'd be surprising that some people are like that.
Actually that's actually a green flag right there.

Speaker 1 (50:31):
So yeah, exactly, like, look, I don't I'll definitely treat you, right,
I'll definitely you know, plan dates, all that good stuff,
pay for dates, all that good stuff. But yeah, just
certain treatment you have to earn over time, Like you
can't be demanding wife treatment when you're just a girlfriend
or just literally somebody I'm just dating and getting to know.
It takes time for you to get that kind of
treatment and to earn that kind of treatment of that true,

(50:53):
and same goals for me, Same goals for me too.
There as certain treatment from a girl. I can't expect
a woman to do wifey duties for me all that
when I'm literally just dating room exactly all right, But yeah,
I think we talked about this long enough. But let's
get into Hey, let's get into a w double or nothing.
That took place this past weekend from Phoenix, Arizona and Yo,
this is one wild ass show. From the highlights I.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
Saw, I saw one I just.

Speaker 1 (51:25):
Does just look. I can't wait for this.

Speaker 2 (51:31):
I saw Oh my god, I was like, what the
hell am I watching? He staped She's stapled the man's tongue.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
It's worth strickling. Yeah, you got his tongue? Sta what
am I? Whoa?

Speaker 2 (51:46):
Oh my god, I just.

Speaker 1 (51:49):
Maybe they don't like his rapping.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
I just would lengths? Are they trying to go to
get viewers? Like?

Speaker 1 (51:56):
What? What? God? Well, the match my podcast partner is
talking about is anarchy at the arena and Yo, this
match was bad. Shit there's literally no reason why. Justin Roberts.
Justin Roberts, before he does the announcement for the match,
he says, ladies and gentlemen, shit's about to hit the fan.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
That's literally his announcement before the match starts. And they
were playing the most random songs throughout the match like
this match, like when thirty five minutes. Literally they were
playing the most random songs throughout the match. They were
playing let the Bodies hit the Floor. Yeah, they were
playing that I'm So Excited song from the Pointer Sisters
that was like the theme song the Dynamite for like
a week. They played that during the match. Oh my gosh, Yo,

(52:38):
I gotta see this. I'm so pissed. I actually missed this,
but it's worth strictlying. Did come out dressed as Predator.
I'm sure you appreciated that.

Speaker 2 (52:48):
God's funny.

Speaker 1 (52:49):
Yeah, I don't know if you saw the entrance, but yeah,
he came out dressed as Predator.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
Oh man.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
Yeah, but this match was pretty wild, but it was
ultimately won by the Baby Phases of World, O Spree
of Strictly and some over Joe that whole crew. They
did end up winning the match. But yeah, this match
was or even the women were in the match too.
Willow Nightingale was a part of the women's team, right, Yeah,
this was crazy, man. But Yo, I know it's not

(53:16):
for everybody. I know, this violent type of wrestling could
be overkilled sometimes. But I feel like in this situation
at work, like it's kind of like, in this situation,
it's what you expect to get.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Yeah, but staple in a tongue though even ECW didn't
even do that, Kurt, I mean that we at least
saw footage of I mean, I think we've seen like
a lot of footage of eas W that we've seen
close and personal. I've never seen anything like that before.
I've seen people go through barbed wire, flaming chairs, just everything.

(53:52):
Man in dumb tacks and you name it. Getting power
bomb or sup plex through stacks of tables, and I've
seen it all. We've seen it all, but like that
staple in a tongue.

Speaker 1 (54:04):
My god, yeah that's rough son. Yeah, and yes, had
the battle scars to prove it afterwards. Oh yeah, I
guess this is some karmer for what he said about
Booker T.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
Oh you know, you know what just hit me. I
should have said this a long time ago, but I'm
gonna say it now. The reason why Sir Strickland hates
some Booker t is because Sir Strickland was never king.
Oh my god, that's simple. He's never king of the world.
That's what the world you mean? King of SmackDown exactly.
He wasn't the champion of champions okay, king.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
Of the McDonald's Kids Club, how Shamus was.

Speaker 2 (54:45):
I'm telling you man, he wasn't king, that's right. He
didn't have the royal scepter. Okay, he didn't have a
queen at his side, come on now.

Speaker 1 (54:55):
Yeah, but he's doing fine. But that's another story. But yeah,
also went doubled or nothing. Mercedes Mon won the owen
Hart Cup tournament by beating Jamie Hayter in the finals.
So now there's another title, another accolade you could add
to Mercedes Money's list. She lost one title a few
weeks ago. Yeah, she lost one title in Japan a
few weeks ago after not getting pinned, and now she

(55:17):
has another one.

Speaker 2 (55:18):
She didn't get pinned.

Speaker 1 (55:19):
Yeah, it was a triple threat match. She didn't get
pinned to lose the title. So now with this win,
Mercedes Money is now set to challenge Timeless Tony Storm
at All in Texas on July twelfth, which, funny enough,
WW is running Saturday Night's main event that same day
and also NXT that great American bashed that afternoon head

(55:42):
to head. They're going head ahead.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
Yeah, and it's funny because they went double or nothing
went head ahead with Battleground that same night. Crazy, Yes, it.

Speaker 1 (55:53):
Was the one instigating this whole thing because WW not
because aw's had All in Texas like set for months
and then WW lily right like a week or two ago.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
Of course, TKO of course, yeah, but no.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
All in Texas looks like a little bit solid from
you know, this match being one example. Yeah, freaking Mercedes
Money and Tony Storm though, that's gonna be a big deal.
And look, I know people are upset that. You know,
Mercedes Money won again and she has another title and
it's kind of getting old and she never loses, which
is true, she has not lost the match at all
since she's been in AW But realistically, Tony Storm and

(56:34):
Mercedes Money is like the biggest match women's wise that
they could do.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
I agree, And I don't know. If Tony's Storm does
win out, probably finally, finally will give the critics what
they needed.

Speaker 1 (56:47):
I guess, well, I'm not sure if she's gonna win.
Oh yeah, like with this run Mercedes is on. Yeah,
I don't think she can have enough titles. I think
that's the point that she's getting to now, like she
just can't have enough.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
Belt Hog, gold Hog.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
She's with championships with t K O is with Money.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
Right, you know, it's funny with a battleground. I loved
how they they booked the TNA Championship on that card.

Speaker 1 (57:17):
Oh yeah, with Joe Henry and Trick Williams.

Speaker 2 (57:20):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (57:21):
I believe in conscious Kurt. I believe in conscious Kurt.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
But I liked, you know, I think that was good
that Trick Williams won.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
That was a good look.

Speaker 2 (57:34):
But it was funny though there's a picture on the
TNA president, the look on his face after he won,
I was like, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (57:43):
Something here. Shout out to Trick Williams. Great talent. Now
the TNA champion has a lot of momentum gonna.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
I like that belt.

Speaker 1 (57:52):
Yeah, he should. He should be a star when he
gets called up to the main roster. And he's also
dating Lash Legend too.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
Oh. I like the belt though, nice belt, yeah, good looking.
Bout all the video documentary they did. AJ Styles is
the perfect person to do it. I loved how they
did the little documentary on that belt, a little short,
little documentary on that belt, and it kind of brought
me back because it was like, remember I used to
watch tn A a little bit back in the day,
twenty years ago. I can't believe he's been twenty years,

(58:19):
but I remember like all the former wrestlers who held
that championship, including AJ Styles, So it kind of like
it brought me back a little bit.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
Yeah, I feel that. Yeah, it's crazy that it's being
defended on WWTV now. Yeah. And also Mike Santana made
his WWE debut officially on NXT last night.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
I've been hearing a lot of good things about this guy.

Speaker 1 (58:43):
Yeah, he was a part of Jericho's stable the Inner
Circle a couple of years ago in AW and yeah,
now he's even though, like it's a part of TNA
technically and NXT. He made his debut on WWETV last night.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
Good for him, Good for him, good for him. I
feel bad for Tea right now.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
Oh because Stephanie Vacour got called up to the main roster.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
Yes, god, oh man, I really I.

Speaker 1 (59:12):
Really want to know what Chanmel thinks of all this.
I really want to.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
You know what, Just in general, whenever a wrestler has
to leave NXT, it's like graduation. It's sad that man,
you're leaving, but you're moving on the bigger, better things.
You got your diploma, now you're moving on.

Speaker 1 (59:35):
Yeah. So Stephanie Vakour is apparently going to be a
part of RAW and also it's been reported that Jordan
Grace is going to be on SmackDown.

Speaker 2 (59:43):
Yeah, it's it's very obvious that Raw was the show
for Stephanie Vaka to go because I mean, I mean
she was on she was competing on roll like for
the pastway two three matches already. So yeah, it was
very obvious that, Yeah, that's the show.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
For her, to be honest, and it's so crazy. Stephanie
Verkuro was one of the women on Mercedes beat ever
since she debuted in aw with that Forbidden Doors show.
Last year, they wrestled on that show and Mercedes beat her.
They had a great match, and then one week later
when she signed with NXT, WHA. Yeah, so in that
sense y has she does, I guess, oh, Mercedes a

(01:00:20):
little bit of credit in that regard. But I will
say as far as Mercedes's title reign goes, I know
that she wins all the time. People are even calling
her Mercedes Hogan funny then as they calling her that,
I get it. But it is in a way like
as far as like a lot of the matches I've
seen with her, where even though she does win, she

(01:00:41):
wins in a way where the other person doesn't come
out looking less than like even though the other person loses,
they still come out of it looking good. They still
come out of it with a lot of stock and
they still.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Come out of it still coming out strong.

Speaker 1 (01:00:54):
Yeah, they still come out of it strong. But the
thing is they have a great match with her. It's
a great performance but in a lot of cases, with
the exception honestly of Stephanie LaCour, they don't really go
as far afterwards. Like afterwards, it's like, you know, what
do you do with them now?

Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
Good point?

Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
Yeah, Like, yeah, it feels like we have with the
exception of a Cure from last year, everybody she's lost
to kind of feels like they're not doing anything as big. Yeah,
all right, but we'll see what happens. Look, I don't
know how much say she has in her winning her
matches and all that jazz. I know it doesn't look good. Yeah,
with all the title she has and all that, I know,
it doesn't look good. But to say that she's not

(01:01:34):
talented and that she's not good, that's not accurate.

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
That'sh No, No, can't no.

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
Regardless if she's your favorite, regardless if you like her,
don't like her personally, Yeah, when it comes to talent
and you know, having quality matches, you can't take that
away from her.

Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
Well you can't, all right, But yeah, she is the
women why she's in that position, so because of her talent.

Speaker 1 (01:01:56):
Yes, and she is the Women's Own Hard Cup winner
for twenty twenty five. On a collision course with Timeless,
Tony Storm will enjoyed a kiss with her opponent after
their match on Sunday. I'm sure you saw it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
I gotta forgot about that too.

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
Yeah, that was weird.

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
What you thought was more weird than that? Or when
trist Stratus and Mackey James kiss.

Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
I would say this because it was just like felt random.
The trist Stratus and Mickey James won. For the storyline,
it made sense because you know, Mickey James is so
obsessed with THEY'R and all that true.

Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
That is true.

Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
Yeah, Tony Storm and Mercedes Monet, I'm looking forward to that.
I'm looking forward to seeing what they do. Want to
be the bill towards it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
I'm going for that too. That'll be very interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
I remember, I think one time Tony Storm said in
a promo when she was doing a promo on All
the Women, she was like talking to Mercedes saying, you
call yourself the CEO, and She's like, when I get
done with you, you're gonna be homeless on the streets.

Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Wow, it's funny.

Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
I'm gonna empty your for one case so deeply that
you're gonna have no choice but to live in a
shelter for the rest of your life.

Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
Damn some ship like that.

Speaker 1 (01:03:09):
That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm looking forward to
these promos they do on TV. But I definitely think
Tony Storm is gonna smoke or of course, Mercedes is
a good character as a here, like you know, the
facial expressions and her attitude and all that. But as
far as promos, yeah, she's gonna get eaten alive by
Tony Storm. Yeah, but it is what it is, So

(01:03:30):
that's the match we're getting. I'm kind of feel bad
for Jamie Hater because she gave a great promo on
the Wednesday before doubling nothing last week about how like
the Owen hard Cup mean a lot to her, and
she was like talking about like Owen Harten in general,
and you know how it would be like a big
deal for her to win that, and then like for Mercedes,
it's kind of like just another trophy for her.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Yeah, she's just like, I don't know, No, pride doesn't
really take too much pride as much as Jady Hater does.

Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
I get what you mean. Yeah, I was gonna make
a reference to an episode of Friends, but I know
you don't watch it, so never mind.

Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
I've been watching lately, never got into it. You should
watch it, Zach for funny dude. It's really funny man.

Speaker 1 (01:04:16):
All right. But anyway, Yes, in the main event of
Double Dusting, though, we did have Will Osprey and Hangman
Adam Page for the Men's Own Hard Cup, and after
over thirty six minutes and an incredible match where people
are saying it's probably the best match on the whole
show and the Match of the Year candidate, Hangman Adam
Page picked up the win.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
Yeah, so the highlights of this match, Jo, this match
is wild. Having to go on after that, having to
go on after that anarchy at the arena match, that
cannot be fucking easy. But these two dudes fucking bodied
it all.

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
Always like Hangman Adam Page, I always liked that guy,
good talent.

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
It feels like, you know, he's back to that top
spot again because it kind of felt like he was
out of it for a few years. But like now
it feels like he's back at it. And after having
a match that incredible with Osprey in the main event,
So after go on, after that anarchy at the arena match, Jo,
that is saying a lot, And now he is the
Men's Own Hard Cup winner for twenty twenty five, and
he will face John Moxley for the AW Championship at

(01:05:19):
All in Texas.

Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
Nice, So this is kind of like the way you're
describing this is kind of like how you win this match,
you get a title shot, correct, the.

Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
New King of the Ring. Yeah, that's basically what this is,
is the new King of the Ring.

Speaker 2 (01:05:32):
Oh I see.

Speaker 1 (01:05:32):
I like that aw's version of King of the Ring.
I like that. Yeah, And like All in Texas is
basically their Summer Slam. It's gonna be in a stadium.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
Okay, yeah, the baseball stadium where the where the Texas
Rangers play. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
Yeah, so that's like the biggest of end of the year.
So yeah, they're building towards that. But yeah, Double Nothing
looks like a good show from the highlights I saw,
and yeah, especially those three matches I mentioned, those were
the highlights.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:05:58):
Yeah, So that's Double the Nothing. And it came out
today actually a few hours before we started recording that that.
John Laraynitis has officially been dropped from the lawsuit by
Janelle Grant and has agreed to provide evidence confidential evidence
wow against Vince McMahon. Yeah, so it looks like John

(01:06:20):
laray Nitis is singing like Whitney Houston. It's a rap
for Vince McMahon in the way it's looking right now.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Yeah, And I don't know if this is true or not.
I was hearing all over the past couple of days
like Vince is trying to buy WW back from TKO.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
Yeah, that that ass clown coachman said that. Yeah, I
saw that on post. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
I didn't know if it was true or not. I
kind of just say, oh, okay, but yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
It's not looking good for Vince. Yeah, Lauren Night has
definitely did whatever he could to get himself out of
this whole scenario because he already came out of it
looking bad enough. So it looks like he's gonna testify
against Vince Wow, the same way Henry Hill testified against
the Mob and Goodfellas. I was just watching that movie

(01:07:12):
a couple like this past Netflix, Netflix.

Speaker 2 (01:07:15):
I know. But since you brought it up, just real quick, like,
all right, do you justify what Jimmy did to his
gang after he pulled off the hes, Like, just think
about it. You pull off a big heist like that,
common sense you're gonna be like, Okay, don't spend anything yet,

(01:07:39):
because if you do, you're gonna like attract the rock attension.
So do you blame Jimmy, Robert and Niel's character for like, yo,
like what the hell is your guys problem? You know
what I mean? Do you like blame him fracking that
way or is it like kind of you know, reacted
just too much.

Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
That's a good question. I never lived the Mathia lifestyle.
I can't relate to it in that regard me personally, Like,
but I can see why he would when he got
when they.

Speaker 2 (01:08:11):
Had that party, right, the little Christmas party was I
like a couple of days after the heist or like
what a month or it was a couple of days, right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:17):
Yeah, it had to be like really close to like
when it happened. But yeah, like just the dude coming
with a pink the dude coming with a pink Cadillac
with the like the mint coat with his girlfriend. It's like, yo,
I don't I can't say what I would do myself,
but I could see why Robert de Niro would want
to cut ties with some of these people, and he
literally cut ties with them literally.

Speaker 2 (01:08:37):
Yeah, oh yeah, so literally yeah, and look, I look
like no offense to my girlfriend, Samantha. I love her,
but like she was like saying, how like he should
not have done that. I was like, babe, dude, you
don't do that. Well, he should never gave them money that.
I was like, it doesn't matter. He literally told everybody,
obviously he told everybody before he pull off the heights.

(01:08:58):
Don't do nothing. I told you, don't spy anything, don't
do nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
Honestly, I think he probably would have done the same
thing to Henry Hill if he was doing that ship.
But Henry Hill like knew, like you know, not exactly
show off too much or to attract negative attention.

Speaker 2 (01:09:14):
With those other guys got a tree. You only got
a Christmas tree. How harmless is that? Like, Okay, you
got a Christmas tree, so what Yes, it's not compared
to buying a car.

Speaker 1 (01:09:25):
Honestly. The one, the one dude that like really got
my damn nerves throughout that movie was that one dude
who was like, who had a fake to pay? Who
kept like, you know, wait a minute, Kurt.

Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
He was the one who was like, who orchestrated? So
he kind of wonted his cut. I mean like he
kept asking for his money for god knows.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
How long he kept about it. He kept being such
a pain in the ass. The narrow cut his ass too,
And at first.

Speaker 2 (01:09:52):
He's like, now I'm not gonna do it, and then
he changed his mind. I was like, what the fuck
the hell dude.

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
I felt bad for the dude. Lifelt bad for his wife.

Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
I know, but like but man like, I was just like,
I'm sorry, Samantha, I love you. But it's like, I
don't blame what he did.

Speaker 1 (01:10:10):
Though.

Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
It's like when you do a heist like that, especially
a couple of days after, you don't you need to
lay low, don't do anything because you gotta remember, that's
a lot of money that they stole, and the cops
FBR or whoever are they're gonna be on that case
for a while. They're gonna try to find out what happened,
who did it. And then if you go and see

(01:10:31):
somebody like, oh, this person has a really nice car,
they're gonna trace that back. So you don't do that,
and that's just common sense. It's like, you don't do
nothing like that.

Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
Yeahn In some cases, I hate to say it, maybe
if Lawrence takes character and dead President's adopted that attitude,
maybe he wouldn't have gotten caught. Yeah, remember like in
after they pulled off that heist, the one due from
the church, was like spending all the money at once
and like, you know, drawing a lot of attention. Then
you end up getting caught. Then he ended up snitching.

Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
Oh I see, I gotta tell my girlfriend about that,
and they and it wasn't really too long after they
pulled off the heights, right.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
Yeah, it was. I always maintained like, yeah, that also
menaced the society, one of the two of the saddest
endings for a movie you'll ever see. Yeah, but yeah,
that's what happens man. Sometimes, Like, yeah, certain people are
just dumb. Even if they get away with it, they
draw a negative attention to themselves. They can't help them. Yeah,

(01:11:29):
they just have to show up exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
And especially after we told you, okay, when we do this,
don't do it. And then you think about Samuel Jackson's
character Fool was like, oh, didn't do what he was
supposed to do. His fingerprints was on the wheel and
he was high. I was like, oh my god, you
literally just ruin it for everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
Now, hated to see him guy, but yeah, it is
what it is. But yeah, we got off for topic
big time from all this. Let's get I know I talking.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Yeah, I just want to ask you that quick question
because it's when I was watching the movie and then
like my girlfriend's like, I was like, babe, I would
have did the same thing.

Speaker 1 (01:12:08):
Yeah, as far as Vince goes, obviously we said what
we needed to say about Vince. Ever since this whole
thing came out, and looks like Laurenitis is gonna drop
a lot of gems in this case too, because who
was as close to Vince as he was in like
the last I would say twenty years or so. Imagine
that shit he saw obviously did for that matter. Yeah,
it's uh yeah, not looking good.

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Not good.

Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
I mean I don't feel bad for him. I don't
feel any sympathy for Laura Nitis either, but I mean
it doesn't surprise me that he would, you know, sing
on Vince.

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Huh, you'll be surprised.

Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
Yeah, but Lauren nightis honestly no like with Vince, like
most of the stories about him are negative, but you know,
he does have some of his supporters. Larenitis has no
supporters Nobody fucks with that guy. Yeah, even his own
brother I heard apparently wasn't a fan of his. Yeah. Yeah,
but fuck them both. I don't feel any sympathy for

(01:13:04):
either one of them. That's they're like the lowest form
of scum of this earth. From yeah the vibe I get.
And yeah, yeah, nothing else really I can say beyond that,
but my brother, anything else you want to get into
this week?

Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
Oh, just one more thing, j R. Jim Ross actually
has successful colon cancer surgery.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
Yes he did. It came out yesterday. Yeah, he went
again at his operation yesterday and apparently they removed the
cancer from him. But he does have a long recovery though.

Speaker 2 (01:13:37):
Yeah. So I'm happy to hear that, man, So great
to hear that. And again, still speedy recovery. And that's
all I got to say about that, and and for
