now with the USS Lexington. Well, we are super excited because this Saturday,
on March sixteenth, we are introducingthe Blue Ghost Comics. So it

(00:24):
is a comic book that is basedon the USS Lexington being transformed into a
mechanized robot guardian. Right, right, So are we talking to like like
Marvel comic type superhero comic book. So, I mean it is a thirty
two page full color comic book.Five variant covers that will be This is

It's going to be a lot offun. Wow. So if you're
into comics, this could probably bea great collectible for comic book collectors because
this will become very rare, right, oh, definitely. You know,
this is the first comic book basedon an aircraft carrier turning into our transforming

(01:37):
into a robot. So it's thefirst of its kind. And what's really
great is that it merges history ofthe lex So it's a fictional story,
but there are spots on reference toon the ship, reference to about the
ship that are connected here when youcome intour the museum that you can actually
see, you know, from thecomic to so here on the ship.

(02:00):
And it's really about creating that curiosityfor learning from a whole new audience of
people who maybe have never been onthe ship. Well, I noticed I
look at a lot of tiktoks. There was one that came up just recently
concerning the USS Lexington on TikTok concerningthe history of why it's being called the
Blue Ghost, and could you tellpeople a little bit why the US S

(02:21):
Lexington was called the Blue Ghost. So the reason that the USS Lexington CV.
Sixteen is referred to as the BlueGhost is because that's a nickname that
it was given by a propagandist namedTokyo Rose at World War two. And
so they had announced that the shiphad sank no less than three times,

(02:42):
and so every time that they claimedthe ship had sank, it was seen
again. And so therefore the nicknamethe Blue Ghost came to be, and
it serves as a way to acknowledgeand remember and honor former crew of this
ship. And so it's now nicknamethat is termine endearment and appreciated and honored.
Well, it's happening this Saturday atwhat time again, so people can

(03:05):
come by and start collecting some ofthese comic books. Ten am. So
the ship opens at nine am andguests are welcome to come aboard then of
course paid general admission, and tenfrom ten to eleven, we're actually going
to have a panel with want CarlosRamos, who is the gentleman who wrote
and drew the comic, his businesspartner Vincent, and then our executive director

(03:30):
Steve Banta are going to talk abouthow this all came to be, from
concept to the development of the comic, and then audience members will have an
opportunity to ask questions anything about thecharacter. And you know, before we
had the comic book in our hands, we've actually had merchandise in our ship

(03:51):
store for years with the character, right that always sells out, So that
was kind of like a testing phasefor us to see how well received it
would be. And it's been wellreceived. We've received a phenomenal response and
so the comic so far, we'vehad it out since March second, and
sales have been going great. Peopleare really excited to see it, you

(04:15):
