Speaker 1 (00:14):
What is going on? Clippers fans? Welcome to season four,
Episode ten of Clips and Dip. There are ten episodes
into this newest season, and I don't think we're three
and seven.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
I think we're playing a little better than three and seven.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Ball.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
I am Chuck Walckler, joined by Adam Postlin and William Updke.
Thank you for listening to us. If you're watching us
at YouTube dot com Slash at Clippers Podcast, thanks for
watching us.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
You can always review us and whatnot.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Uh yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
The Clippers are three and seven.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
They they played good a little bit yesterday for a
brief period of time.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Adam, will how are you fellas doing on this frigid
November night in Clipper Nation?
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Ah?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
And not great? Not great?
Speaker 4 (01:06):
So far it has not looked good. Still no bell
and no Kawhi, what you're gonna talk about? It's not
looking great. I would not bet on the Clippers ending
up four and.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
Seven after the next game. So that's that's where I'm
at right now.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
You were pretty bully on them the other day on
the live stream for this upcoming road trip which we
are going to talk about.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
Adam, how are you let's get to the road. We'll
be fine. No, did I put a perspective how bad
it is to start three and seven?
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Yeah, go for it, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
We don't want that negativity or truth.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I mean, we're gonna there's not a lot of positive
things to talk about before we get into the game
against the Nuggets, So go for.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Say they want tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
So they won and then they went four and three,
which would be a great successful road trip.
Speaker 5 (02:04):
They would still be eight and ten okay after eighteen games,
all right, and it's gonna be hard to achieve that.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
So that's where we're at.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, I know there's a lot of people upset about
a lot of things. Beale is hurt, which has led
to Colin starting not really how we wanted it to happen.
But I mean Beale took a charge in the game
against the Blazers on that flared.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Up fifty years ago.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
It's a been a tough start to the Bradley Beal era.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Availability wise.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah, Suns fans are in our messages and telling us
we told you and all these things right now. It sucks.
It's unfortunates.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
I just didn't think you were very smart, so I
didn't listen.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Sorry, Yeah, let's bring more conversable.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Sorry, I've seen you all before, and uh I had
reasons for not believing you your word.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
At face value. One thing that got me worried has
me worried one?
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Yeah, one of the one of I believe about one
thing that interview he did after the game against the
Suns where he was like they didn't let me be
that guy or something like that, and he was like,
when's the last time I took fourteen shots for the Suns?
And it was like, Dude, there were some people missing
from this lineup, and I think you're not going to
(03:48):
necessarily be your version.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Of that guy here. When if I should also say and.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
We then do do?
Speaker 3 (03:56):
It?
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Just feels.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Even one available or I guess.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Yeah. Aside from the fact that like, if he's coming
back from injury and he's on a mint restriction, should
he be in the starting lineup? Some people are already saying, well,
this could be a blessing in disguise that they have
to figure things out without him, and when he does
come back, he won't be able to start. It's like,
(04:24):
I don't think any injuries going on right now could
be a blessing in disguise with the amount of guys
we got out in the lack of firepower we just
saw the other night.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Yeah, injuries are never ideal.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
Uh, And also, well, it's just weird you have to
say that. You have to say that because, like Adam said,
like people are like, maybe it's going to change the
starting lineup. That's also not I don't think how that
would go down. I think they would give Biel more
chances with the healthy or whatever version of a healthy
starting lineup. About agreeing with that, it gets a little
(04:57):
more frustrating as each day goes on.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Did see Colins start the other night?
Speaker 1 (05:04):
The stat from Justin Rousseau is a positive starting lineup
of James hard and Chris Donne, Derek Jones, Junior, John
Collins and Vizizibots were plus fourteen and twenty one minutes.
Tyler said he thought they did a good job, especially defensively.
The blueprint of how we want to play with key
guys being out is how we played in that first quarter. Well,
key guys are going to be out for possibly a while.
(05:27):
As Tyler kind of mentioned about Brad Beal's possibility.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
And maybe another positive He also said he's rolling with
John Collins for a while, And to me that seemed
independent of if Bradley Beal is back sooner than later,
because they didn't even run the tests on him yet,
and we I'm assuming he didn't know the extent or
how long that.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Could be the hurt. They gave him a hurt test.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Yeah, they've played the old game of doctor operation.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Are you hurt? Are you good?
Speaker 3 (05:59):
How's this feeling their knee?
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Did that? The quote like a while had me confused
in a good way. I guess that's your point, Adam,
of like, is this when everyone's healthy, does this count
as a while?
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Or like that's how I interpreted it. The way you
said it was like, yeah, that's my guy. This was
part of the plan to eventually get here, and we're here.
But I guess we'll see whenever they're healthy.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
It could be weeks from now. Unfortunately.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, Well, do you think Beal's out of the starting
lineup or do you think it's gonna be Derek Jones
Junior out of the starting lineup when everyone's healthy to
make room? Not like because I mean, yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (06:49):
Think they're gonna they're gonna give it another run with
beal because you gotta try and you gotta hope that
he can get some sort of rhythm momentum going.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
I think it depends how they're playing. They're gonna play
moving forward. What if they do play well? What if
they do get on a winning streak and Bells still
coming back on a ministerstriction? Do you then disrupt the
starting lineup that has been playing well? I would not know. Well,
the way things have been going, That's that's logical.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Look, Adam, why is the wheel all round it?
Speaker 1 (07:30):
There's so many other shapes out.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
There, it could be anywhere.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Yeah, they are certainly experimenting with new shapes, uh and
ways to play basketball.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
The injuries are so fright hard and said it after
last night. We haven't had any consistency, but also we've
seen no consistency to start seasons before. And I guess
it's felt better than this, right, you don't feel mad
enough about this start? Zoos seemed like he was very
sad last night.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Yeah, they're like that's the thing, Like it feels like
more like downtrodden or or whatever.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Like I'm just.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Not seeing a lot of like fire in these some
of these locker room interviews, especially like I don't know
guys like Harden or even Zoo who has been with
the team long enough to be a vocal leader like I,
did they realize that? Like I just wonder sometimes, like
do they see the standings? Do they like, do they
understand how bad this is? Do you think they're just
shell shocked because they're messing up simple stuff? They've all
(08:36):
said it right, like they've all been like the stuff
that we're doing is.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Like we forgetting Yeah, like you can't remember plays apparently, are.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
They just like are we just like.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
They played so many games collectively that they're just like,
I don't know the next one.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
I guess Harden didn't zop to the media after the
second loss to Phoenix that could indicate he was mad.
It beats the Zubats. He wears his heart honest sleeve.
His emotions were there. You could see it last night,
and seems like there was accountability taken by him for
what's going on. I don't know, I don't know exactly
(09:18):
what I want to see. None of that stuff matters,
like get out there and perform on the court.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
And it can really only go you would think, I
mean there's some room for it to go down. But
like defensively, the team, it's hard to be worse right now.
Stat wise, defensively, teams are shooting forty from three their
twenty fifth and defensive rating they're thirtieth or turnover percentage
on offense, which messes up the defense, all while being
(09:46):
twenty fourth of strength of schedule. So it's not like
we're playing some.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
I don't know this.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
This is the issue. They got off to the worst
start during the easy part of the schedule, and everybody
coming in maybe except for them, knew that this was
the softest, most favorable part of the schedule, and they
didn't take advantage of it. And it's only gonna get
much tougher.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Not only didn't take advantage of they're looking at the
play three hundred ball.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
The depth UH is shallower than we thought. Also already
that's on display with kind of Chris Paul seemingly out.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Of the rotation.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Yeah, we got to be honest, like a lot of
the stuff that we were super high on in the
offseason just hasn't come to fruition. The idea was you
don't have James out there. Cool. Now we got CP
three running the show for fifteen minutes a night. We're
good like that hasn't happened at all.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
How he is.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Brook Lopez has been alright. I don't think he's been horrible.
He's definitely had his moments, but not as good as
we had hoped. John Collins, when everybody else is actually
doing their part, he's good. He can't make up for
everybody else's mistakes. He's not mobile enough to do all
(11:14):
that stuff. Like. He's had some really good blocks at
the rim when everybody else is handling their business and
he can actually just protect it and not have to
worry about guarding two guys beats the zoo bots. Also
with the starters underwhelming, so far, it's been better, but
still not enough. So how do you get by when
(11:35):
this many guys are underperforming at once? If you told
me all these guys would be bad at once, then
maybe maybe they'd be four and four or four four
and five, I should say, or four and six instead
of three and seven. I still would even Yeah, being
told all that, I still wuldn't believe three and seven.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
Yeah, I would say, will kind of what you were saying,
it's just like all the bad, all the bad stuff
is happening at once. All the stuff that was like, well,
it'll be good unless this happens to this guy. We
had the functional depth on paper. Again, we love the
clippers on paper sometimes more than on the court. Uh.
(12:15):
And it's I mean, shout out to Cam Christy, love
that he's getting minutes. Wish it was under better circumstances.
But like, do we think Bogey? I guess I'm like
where he has to. I know everyone has to be better,
but like Bogey's in a funk right now?
Speaker 3 (12:34):
How many games he played three? Like he got you
got DMP, the first couple of games he got d MP,
the last couple of games, how many games he played?
Or he hasn't been good. But it's like, so are
we going away from Bogey and CP three already?
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Yeah, he's played four games, started two of them.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
I just I didn't expect him to go away from
both those guys this soon. But I I will say this.
Everybody bitches all the time that coach won't play young guys,
and now he is. They're like, wait a second, what
about Bogey C three? Well they've been bad. I don't
blame him trying something else. And Cam has been decent
overall so far.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yeah, Cam's been all right for I'm sure a guy
who didn't expect to play this much this early, right will, Like,
you can't imagine that Cam.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Christy was like, I'll probably be playing first. Do you think.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Cam is twenty years of age barely? I think yeah,
and he I looks like a live body out there
with Pop. I know he went one of seven last
night and missed some gimmes on some floaters, but I
did wonder because they just don't have the shock creation.
If CP three and Bogie aren't able to be more
(13:51):
functional out there, how do you get by. It's back
to the same thing if you don't have Kawhi Leonard
and you don't have Bial. There's way too much much
being asked of James Harden, way too much.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
I like that tweet you had of like him holding
up the world. I don't get why we keep having
to do this, right, like, we just keep having.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Him because we thought CP three was going to be
good still, this was not supposed to be a problem.
Speaker 4 (14:21):
Like we also thought that we were going to get
some of Norm's production out of Bradley Beal Like, I
mean not some.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Video said he can do what he does and some.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
Yeah, I mean we said it.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
Yeah, yes, on paper.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
He can't.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
What we didn't know is he'd be on a minute
restriction to start the season.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Right and not be able to take charges. I played that.
He was like, I'd do it again if I was
in that situation again. I'm like, please, don't man, you
like you was always getting bad and around.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
He was fine, yeah, nor, Yeah, that's trip.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
I don't know. At least we play the Nuggets tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Yeah, that's something, you know, you know what we need.
We need a performance like the Nuggets gave us a
couple of years ago when they had nobody but Reggie
Jackson and DJ out there. Yes, that's what we need.
The reversal of the Clippers rising to the occasion with guys.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Anything else on these first ten games before we get
into the Nuggets, and then talking about this upcoming kind
of hellish road trip.
Speaker 3 (15:39):
Uh did not think. I did not think Kwi would
be out five straight games now, Yeah, did not did
not see that coming.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
Hope he's on the trip.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Uh, he's not on the trip. I mean, my god.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
If he's not on the trip, happy hour lives are canceled.
It's sad Hours, no happening. Pack it in. Drinks are
twice the price at sad Hour. All right, coming up.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
We're gonna be previewing the game against the Nuggets and
then talking a bit about the seven game road trip
the Clippers will be on. If you're listening to us, thanks.
If you'd like to watch us talk about this Clippers
team in agony, you can find us at YouTube dot
collelish Act Clippers Podcast, Nuggets and the ROADSI Truck coming
(16:29):
up in three to two one.
Speaker 4 (16:31):
All right, welcome back into Clips and Dip. We've talked
about the state of the Clippers currently at three and seven.
They are facing the Denver Nuggets as they hunt for
an elusive fourth win. Even if they can't find it,
they will be looking good because it is City Edition night.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yes, did you guys? Do you guys like the jerseys?
You like the jerseys? Adam, You're a black and orange
jay U.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
Yeah, I'm big on the color of orange, so I
know I'm probably the minority here, but I'm fan of them.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Will your thoughts? I like him.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Some of the merch looks a little dicey, but I
love the court. The court is cool and I'm sure
the Jerseys will look good on court injuries. Bradley Beal
is out, Kawhi Leonard is out, Jamal Murray's having a
great start to the season.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
He's day to day, so is Aaron Gordon. I don't
know if their injury report came out yet.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
They're playing tonight, so they're playing Sacramento. Both those guys
are supposed to be playing tonight. The best thing that
could happen is Sacramento makes them earn it, and we'll
see if both those players are available for a back
to back, if they're questionable or probable tonight.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
You know, yeah, the Kings are. They're about to have
a fire sale shock fire. So I am shocked that
that roster's not working. So we're probably playing what you're
saying is going to be a fully healthy Nuggets team, Adam.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
I don't know. We'll see. It's possible that the Kings
find a way to make it interesting and make those
guys play eavy minutes. But yeah, who knows.
Speaker 1 (18:11):
The Nuggets will either be eight and two or seven
and three when we play them tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
Here's Russell Rustbrook revenge a game by the way tonight.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Yeah, go for it he can shoot threes.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Now, just some top line stats for the Nuggets second
net rating second and field goal percentage first, and assists
per game second, in defensive rebounds per game and eighth
and defensive rebound percentage, So you know it's real. Teams
are only shooting thirty percent from three versus them so far.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
I don't feel great about this one. Just personally, will
how are you feeling about this matchup?
Speaker 4 (18:50):
As I said, if I was a betting man, I
would not bet on the Clippers getting their fourth wan.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Maybe excited is not the right word.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
I mean think it's gonna be the same.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
No, I'm just interested to see them play against this
Nuggets team. I think it'll be the same. Yeah, he
can't change it, right, he said they were good.
Speaker 3 (19:16):
No, I wouldn't be surprised if CP three or Bogue
got minutes, but the starting lineup should be the same. See,
I wouldn't feel good.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Things have gone horribly wrong.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Bro, things have gone horribly wrong. They need another playmaker
out there, like last night was so hard to watch
offense in the second half. Yeah, I would have. Honestly,
I would try him. We're we're now, we're ten games
in like, we're just done with CP three. His last
stint was actually probably his.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
Best against the nine minutes against the.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Thunder, Yeah, or the Phoenix game one was it? Yeah,
I can't remember. You can't like there are some guys
given the injuries right now, you can't just give up
on ten games in.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
I thought it was interesting when Ty was like, we're
gonna the rotation is gonna be cut down from eleven
to ten. Were fully healthy and that was why we
still had guys out, And I'm like, well, if guys
are out, maybe the rotation should be.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
A little longer.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Hey, guys, eight guys, we're basically at eight.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
I was shot to see Kobe last night. He played
all right.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Yeah, guy's got a chance to get into this ever
expanding and shrinking rotation.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
He kind of defies physics this Clipper's rotation a little bit.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
You have to find another player that can gain an
advantage on a defense and not just have it be
James Harden. I saw it in the preseason from CP three.
He's looked like he was moving better than yeah, Bubby. Actually,
the movement was looking decent with the ball in his
hands bringing it into the front court. The last time
(21:03):
we saw him.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Yeah, he looks a little more confident. He has some
chemistry with Zoo. He needs help right now too.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
It's either that you better make a move, because.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Yeah, I agree, what's the move? Bring rust back from
the Kings?
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Kean Ellis? I don't know how much he can handle
the Rock.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
I don't know if that's the move.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
Malcolm Rogden out of retirement.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Hey I already did one time Clipper.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Uh, can we even look at opponent to opponent like
pregame stuff or as they're too much broken with the
Clippers to fix that, you know what I mean? Like
does the opponent were playing necessarily matter? Like it's hard
to go team by team be like, oh, if the
Clippers do this against this team, they'll beat them because
that's their weakness. Cause Clippers can't do anything very good
(22:01):
right now. So it's like the issues are so holistic
that it's.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
Like, yeah, there's no way to this is our strength
versus their weakness? There is no strength, right.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
No, right?
Speaker 3 (22:16):
And they don't have much of a weakness.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Yeah, Like I was like looking at the schedule and
I was like I don't even know like what we're
good at, Like I can't synthesize from watching these games
in the stats like what we're necessarily killing it at.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
I will say this, the Clippers were an outlier, and
I mean an outlier shooting before, but it's away from
what that gave last night. Crachy going eight of ten
from three is insane.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
That makes no sense. But that stuff happens. That's why
you got to take care of the other business it does.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Missing seven free throws from the third straight game is awful.
In a game you lose by three, what are we
good at?
Speaker 1 (23:00):
We don't have an identity.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
I mean the idea is if done and DJ are starting,
they're gonna The defense has to come around. It has
to in the giving up only one oh five last night,
even with one guy going off like that, that's that's
something something.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Yeah, Yeah, And we held the only eleven turnovers, that's good.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
We held the Warriors to sub one hundred, that was good.
It's just like they can't get out of their number. Guys,
remember that when we lost and held them. When we
start seventy nine points.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
A good first half.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Man, man, some of these are brutal.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
So look, okay, so the Nuggets are tomorrow. I don't
really have a bunch of analogy. They're a juggernaut right now,
so we have to hope they're tired.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
You know what would be great zoobots has gotten up
for game against Jokis before he had like a thirty
four point game or like it was his high before
last year against Phoenix, and then they went away from
him and then blew a twenty three point lead. Maybe
they just spam Jokicic more who only got ten shots,
or spam excuse me, and beats zubots more who only
got ten shots yesterday, because that matchup against Jokis he
(24:19):
seems to get up for.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
And it's right second night in a row for Jokic.
Theoretically he should be tired.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
So we've been talking about it. Beats the Zubots, you know,
being a little up and down and not being as
engaged as we would like. Maybe this is the opponent
that at least brings out the best in Big Zoo.
Speaker 2 (24:37):
Yeah. I like that.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
I'm looking and digging hard for fighting.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Uh yeah, Well, who's your player of the game. We
can pick anybody. We're terrible right now, so everybody's on
the table for player of the game.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Did we get two no, we don't get but like, combined,
they might put together a decent sound.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
All right, yeah, you can pick your two.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
You can pick your best two man lineup for the
game or your best your player of the game. Yeah,
hold up, but.
Speaker 3 (25:15):
We can't do too guys, that's stupid idea.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Okay, so we got hardened zoo.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
I like that least one of them has to hit
on this bet, right. Harden has been so tired to
end games. And I'm not saying that as a knock
at all. I'm just it's so hard to walk. He's
got to play so much basketball.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
You mean the spinning turnover where he just.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Looking tired, dude, And he is someone who obviously will
if you said this early the episode where it's like
maybe they've just played so much basketball that all runs together.
He's played so much basketball, and for him to be
so visibly tired and like frustrated by being tired, I
can't imagine what it's just gotta hurt.
Speaker 3 (25:59):
Like. He was also great last night, like and has
been pretty good so far this season. Honestly, you look
good numbers. I posted this earlier. How are they three
and seven getting this production from James Harden? To start
the season. That's so bad he had nineteen in the fourth.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Like, alright, I'm who's your two man lineup or one
player of the game. Pick I'm gonna have like the
only person left for.
Speaker 3 (26:25):
Me, give me done and DJ give me the give
me the shutdown corner?
Speaker 2 (26:34):
All right? Uh oh, I'm going John Collins.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Then I'm only picking one and I'm going John Collins,
and he's gonna have twenty.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
Two and we'll need it.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
I can see it.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
We'll lose my eight, but we'll look good.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
That's strong.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Let's get an upswing, you know, Let's get.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
A that's some momentum going into the road trip in
a point loss.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Yeah, what is it? We had haunting wins and there
what was our encouraging losses. Let's get an encouraging loss
on the books. And that's how low things are right now,
is let's get let's get a loss where it's like,
sure we lost, but at least we looked pretty good.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
I don't know, man, Some may say moral victories.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Sure, it's either that or a blowout. The road trip
is at the MAVs, a back to back against the
Celtics and the seventy six ers. Then at the Magic,
then a back to back against the Hornets and the Calves,
and then ending at Lakers. Pretty brutal travel wise here
(27:41):
two back to backs in the seven game road.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Well, where's the Lakers game.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
At Cryptoco Arena?
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Okay, not that far.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
They're still flying from Inglewood. What's your hopes on this
roadship record wise?
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Will oh Man? Seven games? What do you think? What
do you think they're doing here? Four and three, five and.
Speaker 6 (28:12):
Two, seven h seven and l on the table? Mm hmm,
I mean two and five. I think they can go
four and three.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
Okay, So you're we were splitting the back to back.
Yeah right, we're splitting both those. So there's two and two.
What's the other one we're dropping Lakers?
Speaker 2 (28:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (28:44):
Yeah, So it's like Hornets Calves probably splitting that.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
Celtic seventy six.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
I think they if we were to go two and
our back to back, maybe it'd be that one.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
See it's easy to say four and three, but then
you look at the teams and you're like, how he.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
Would have to look at the teams.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
You can look at the team the Clippers.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
This is my most optimistic of outcomes.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Four and three.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Yeah, they go for three.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
We probably go to and.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
Five, depends on I mean, I'm assuming feels out for
some of this.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
I'm about to assume all of it right now.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Ka why unclear how long he's going to be out,
hopefully travels. I assume he'll travel.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
I assume yes, they'll have ka. I think I think
they'll have Kawhi not.
Speaker 1 (29:45):
On the back to backs, so he's not playing all
of them or should he?
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (29:52):
Yeah, Man, four and three, I think that's as optimistic
as a kids. I hope this is clipped. I hope
the ad for the Clippers, Twitter and social media, who
have been killing it this year, clipped this after we
go six and one?
Speaker 2 (30:08):
Adam, what are you thinking?
Speaker 4 (30:10):
Five?
Speaker 2 (30:13):
Yeah, they go nihilists. They're just like, screw it, we're doomers. Now.
This team social media account with being dumers would be great.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
They got the old raucous social media first.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Yeah, Adam, you're going, you're going four and three? You
hopping on this optimist train of optimism with us shooting
straight into the sky.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
Baby, that might be a for me. For me twice
came on me situation. If I do it, I don't know,
I might have to say three and four. Three and
four isn't that bad. It's a tough road trip. Uh,
I don't know. I don't know who's gonna be available.
I'll go three and four, all right, doomer adam, but
(30:59):
a win over the Lakers.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
All right, I'll take that. Three and four went over
the Lakers. Two of those losses are encouraging ones.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Come on, three and four, good habits, good process, three and.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
Four foreigner, yep. And then we go eighteen oh in March.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
We're good. We are sitting pretty.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
Didn't help yourself, could you.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Uh, we'll revisit this when we're at twenty games. But
after ten games, what seed do we think the Clippers
end up the house real quick?
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Before we sign off? Top three?
Speaker 3 (31:39):
Uh? Seventh.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
I was gonna say eight.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
Well, I think they're gonna have to win two playing games.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
Damn well, guys, we got the Thunder in the first round.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
First first champ to ever win two playoff games. We'll
play a couple ex. What's a couple extra?
Speaker 1 (32:02):
All right, we have to get out of here. We're
gonna do a post game. We're gonna do a postgame
happy hour on Friday after the game. The game is
at five point thirty, we're either going to be drinking
because they lost or drinking because they won. So come
hang out, will Where can people share their thoughts about
(32:24):
this podcast? Not necessarily the team. You don't need to share.
It's not our fault that the team is playing poorly.
But where can people share their thoughts?
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Yeah, you share your thoughts on this podcast over on
Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
You can, of course listen wherever you hear podcasts.
Speaker 4 (32:38):
You share comments on every video we post over on
YouTube dot com. That's at Clipper's Podcast. We also go live,
as Chuck mentioned on Fridays. Sometimes we come at you
after games if it's not horribly depressing. Sometimes if it
is horribly depressing. But however, you listen, however you watch,
You know we appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
We really do, Adam, You truly have the heart job
and Clipper Nation right now. One positive thing to send
the fans into the game against the Nuggets and the
sure to be entertaining seven game road trips.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
You know, if you can't rely on anything in this world,
you can rely on Russell Westbrook looking for revenge against
his former team, which could make them have to work harder. Tonight,
which could make them a little bit tired on the
second hand of a back to back into Adil tomorrow
in the Denver Nuggets.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
There we go, make them tired. That is our rallying
cry for the opponents of the Clippers. That's that's what
we got. Here's to some encouraging losses and every win
to be earned. I guess I don't know. We just
need some wins. Thank you for hanging out. I have
been Chuck Wuckler and as always
