is Annie Oakley's sister Ashley, andwe are live with Wendy. Wendy is
a town hero because this Saturday she'smaking pancakes for people, or is it

And every week we're gonna have catchingup with Cody and Wendy's going to come
on live and tell us all aboutwhat's going on in the town. Because
Wendy is my favorite person that Iprobably see more times than I should every
week. She is the manager atthe Dollar Tree. Welcome to the podcast,
Wendy, Thank you. Cody Wyomingseems to be where everyone needs to

go in the summer. Cody Wyomingis the tourist place in the summer because
we have so many things going on. We are the hub for Yellowstone.
We are the East Entrance and thatopens on the fifth of May, so
our East Entrance would be wide open, the museum will be wide open.
Our rodeo starts at first of June, so we're gonna have a lot of

activities going on in Cody. Yeah, what's specifically going on this weekend Cody?
Today is the twenty seventh of April. Today's the twenty seventh of April.
Our big things start next weekend.Next weekend, which would be May
fifth and sixth and seventh. Wehave at the Dollar Tree, we have
free pancakes with every purchase from eightuntil eleven in the morning. It's amazing.

I heard you're making those. Iwill be standing out by the front
door flipping pancakes. So if yousee you, lady and a chef jacket
flipping pancakes at the Dollar Tree,you come on in and buy something,
We'll make you pancakes. That's totallyfor free. Yellowstone Park will open at
eight am on the morning of thefifth. Do we have a celebration a
ribbon cutting? No, every year. The gates open at that time.

The Chamber of Commerce will be doingwhat they call parks and pancakes downtown on
that day. The museum will extendtheir hours after six pm. We have
a regional soccer tournament with eighty fourteams. We have Cody Fire School,
which trains firefighters from across the nationon wildland and structure fire fighting. That

entire weekend, we have a statetrack meet, so we have a lot
of things going on that weekend.That's so exciting. So that's the fifth
and sixth, right, it andsix that we all call that the kickoff
to tourist season, the kickoff totourist season because there are so many things
going on. Okay, that's exciting, So how can what's the address to
the Dollar The Dollar Tree is atfive to twenty three West Yellowstone on your

way to Yellowstone Park. It's betweenErrands and Bubba's. Okay, perfect.
Bubbas is the barbecue and Errans isthe furniture rental. Yep, yeah,
okay, Wendy. So what happensthe week after that? The week after
that will be Mother's Day. There'sa lot of things going on from Mother's
Day weekend too. I know thatall of the florists will be doing big
blowout sales. We're going to haveblowout sales plus a holiday gift consultant,

so then you're not stuck just buyingyour mom a flower for Mother's Day.
We are going to have a giftconsultant there, so you can buy your
mom just about anything. We havegift boxes. Wait, so the Dollar
Tree is going to have a giftconsultant. Yes, Oh, I love
this. We will have a seatedgift consultant to help you pick out gifts
for your mom. You can spendfive dollars and get your mom a whole

bunch of items instead of spending thirtydollars to get or one flower. That's
a beautiful idea. I love.We try to help out people because why
not? Yeah, why not?You are one of the best funnest managers
I've ever met. I thought youowned the store, which is fun,
but I guess it's a corporate entity. What feels like I own it because
I'm there between seventy eight and eightytwo hours a week. Whoa Wendy?

So that's why everyone knows you.Okay, this is catching up with Cody
and we've had Wendy on today.So make sure that you know that the
fifth and sixth the park opens.So is there going to be Is there
a ceremony for that? I don't. We just all celebrate in town.
Okay, everybody in town celebrates.We don't really have a ceremony, but

everybody is hip hippa ray and readyto go and we're all excited for it,
so we all celebrate you. I'veheard some people call it the fire
sale weekend because the firefighters are here. Yes, don't drive after dark because
the all of the drinking establishments.We'll be having celebrations for the firefighters when
they get out of fire school becausethey are all adults, and there will

be a lot of adult beverages consumedthat weekend. Okay, so if you're
like adult beverages and Cody that weekend, actually every weekend, we have a
lot. I know that Cassie's inthe IRMA are going to do some spectacular
drink specials, so there's all thattoo. Yeah, why not have fun?
