Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, so you know how much we love a good
story here, and sometimes the best stories, well, they come
from the most unexpected places, like from.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
A random topic generator during a stand up comedy set.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Exactly, Picture this, a comedian riffing on the spot. The
wheel spins and lands on turtle.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
A turtle, not like you know, majestic sea turtles. Right,
We're talking about Frank.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Frank, a sewer dwelling turtle. As it turns out, of course,
and this deep dive all came from you are amazing
listeners because you sent us this routine. So we're diving
into the surprisingly profound and of course wildly absurd life
story of Frank. Can a story completely made up on
the spot actually tell us something something real about well,

(00:43):
about life about to.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Get interesting, because even a fictional turtle's journey, well, it
can tap into those universal themes you know, like struggle, ambition,
even mortality. Heavy stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Right, and the comedian, after some let's just say asterisk
colorful as his commentary, we'll spare you the details on
that sets the stage for Frank's well turbulent beginnings. Picture
this tiny turtle Frank gets flushed down a toilet, rough start.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Talk about a bad day, right, but even in this
absurd situation, you can't help but feel for Frank. The
comedian establishes this classic underdog story right from the start.
He's thrown into this hostile environment, the sewer system, and
he's got to survive.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
He's just trying to make it, you know, navigating this
harsh reality of the sewer system. And let's just say
that Frank has to resort to some unconventional means to
get by.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Unconventional. Yeah, the comedian even goes into detail about Main
Street and or Seventh Street and or Broadway, those like
desolate urban landscapes.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
It's like we all know those streets, right, Like.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
He's grounding Frank's story in a world we recognize, even
if it is through this absurd you know, turtle tinted
lens exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
And listen, we have an ask all astrisk resorted to
Frank's let's just say, asterisk asterisk methods ye to survive.
But still you've got to admire the hustle. It's little turtle,
He's got fire. He's not going to stay down in
the dumps forever.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
And that's where things start to get really really interesting.
Frank's journey. Oh, it's about to take a very surprising turn.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Frank decides he's going to go to community college. Community college, Yeah,
Rock Valley College to be exact, of course, Rock Valley,
Rock Valley College. It's like we all know someone who
went to Rock Valley or like maybe we went to
Rock Valute. Yeah, but it gets it gets even better,
even wilder. He gets a turtle grant, dives headfirst into

(02:35):
the art world, becomes a design student, and then get this,
he gets his master's online University of Phoenix.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Oh wow online, Okay, hold on a turtle navigating online classes,
student loans. This is hilarious, but also, you know, it's relatable.
We've all felt that pressure of that anxiety. Education.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
It's a wild red it's social commentary, but with like
a shell on it, you know, totally. But Frank he
doesn't stop there. Fueled by his passion and you know,
maybe a few discount cigarettes.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Along the way, Oh you discount cigarette.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
He actually becomes a famous painter. No way finds love
has a family, the classic rags to riches story, but
with you know, a turtle, it's the.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
It's the turtle dream. But it makes you think right,
that desire for fulfillment, connection, happy ending. I mean, we
all want that, even if it's a turtle, you know,
creating masterpieces with those tiny, little turtle sized paint brushes.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
It's adorable. But then, just when you think Frank's story
couldn't get any more surprising, the comedian throws this curveball.
What Frank dies, our little artist, reptile god gone but
not forgotten, And it's like boom, this wave of emotion
hits you, this really unexpected sadness right right.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
It's like you're laughing one minute, and then suddenly you're
reflecting on I don't know, like the fragility of life,
you know, and it makes you wonder, is the comedian
like actually moved by this story he just made up?
Or is this like incredible stage.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Presence, the powerful stuff? Yea, like a made up turtle.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
And yet here we are feeling these feels. It's like
this reminder that well, we find meaning in the strangest places.
Even a story about like sewer cigarettes and turtle art
can I don't know, make you think about your own life?
You know?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Yeah, exactly exactly. It all started with a spin of
a wheel, a random word. But we ended up on this,
this surprisingly deep journey with Frank, and it makes you
think about like the power of just making things up
on the spot, you know, improvisation, and that need we
all have to find meaning even when things are totally absurd.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Right, Like, what if it was you spinning that wheel?
What weird random little moments from your life would you
string together?

Speaker 1 (04:41):
What would your wheel of death story be?

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Makes you think, right, we all have that story in us,
those little bits and pieces, the funny stuff, the heartbreak,
all those little things that make us who we are.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
We started with a comedian, a turtle, and a whole
lot of absurdity. But maybe that's life, right, full of
unexpected twists and turns, stories hidden in the most random places.
So yeah, until next time, keep asking those questions, keep
diving deep into those weird corners of life, and who knows,
you might just find something truly profound waiting for you
