Speaker 1 (00:18):
What's up, ladies and gentlemen, Boys and girls, Welcome to
another episode of the Couch Coaches.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Will there be a storm coming this Sunday?
Speaker 1 (00:26):
Or will the sun shine down on the Warriors to
help them break a sixteen game losing street against the storm.
That's that's what we're gonna be talking about tonight and
much more. For the first things to us, I'm Johnazron
my co host Richard Lady.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
How are you going, bro, John Kidd run this thing.
Speaker 3 (00:43):
I'm good, bro, But I was a little bit lost
to NOI kind really just you know, just keep checking
the you know, the square box to see if when
the Warriors were playing, But there was no Warriors look
forward to, so I had to set them to watch.
You know. I didn't watch as much I would like to,
but there was enough nothing tame lead onto to keep
me keep me entertained at the weekend. But I'm just
(01:04):
firs to Yeah to another weekend of Warriors footy and
yeah the same where we can break this this this
long drought. Although Joey Johns is same with the Storms
Bogy teams. So yeah, that.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Did you know that we had a buy on the weekend?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
You did write you, Yeah, of course I did. I
just you know, I just was just twiddling my thumbs.
So what do I do my weekend? The Warriors just
sort of looked forward to us but last but my
parents in town. So yeah, it was a little bit
to play anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
So yeah, fair enough. I mean I love to watch
a little bit of the games on the weekend. I
thought the Tigers Broncos game was a really good one. Like,
you know, I know that the Broncos ended up winning
quite comfortable in the end, but it was actually quite
a good game. I thought, you know, the Tigers were
right in it and just to some few kind of
defensive lapses and you know, the Broncos talking apart, but
(01:59):
I thought, you know, for for a big chunk of
the game, was actually quite a good game.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
And they tries to one.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
As I said this a period on the game, but
I was that guy I was watching, and yeah, it
was just back and forth, you know, like there was
just heaps of tries and the Tigers a scoring some
really good tries and they were keeping on that. But yeah,
I think I would to be before they did the game.
But like the Broncos scored a few tries to run
away with it, but the squadn't do the game justice.
And that Thursday night game was was an absolute barn Stormers.
(02:27):
But it was six or seven tries in the first
half and then there was just nothing in the second half,
and then the Raiders decided to you know, run it
on the last and it was like Warriors footy of
old watching that that that Raiders try and win the
game as well. So a great game, couple of tries
to him, a couple of tries to bring in the
coreer good, a good good game for some some talented
(02:49):
bet rolls.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
And yeah, I'll tell you what I mean, the betting
agencies must be loving this at the moment because it's
so hard to pick who's gonna win at the moment.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
Every round there is always an ups it.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
You know, you got last week, you had what you had,
the storm losing to the Dragons in the previous round,
and then the Dragons lose to the Eels.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
You know, it was won their first game, you.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Know, and is it you know, is it a coincidence
that you know it didn't happened to have a you know,
have a bit of a he played a key part
in that game. I mean, that's why I'm hearing from
the common trader is you watch the game that much.
But what I'm hearing that he played a key part
that they when he was on the field, that they all,
you know, sort of rose up. And I can't understand
that did the other Warriors too, But yeah, so you
just you never know who's gonna win them on the night,
(03:29):
on the day. So it's be an awesome season to watch.
But they must be loving it because I'm pretty sure
people with maltes won't be they won't be getting their malties.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
I think that's our tipping cop. You got three last week, John,
A bit of a rough weight for you. I got
fired a little bit bitter. I did tip. I tipped
the Raiders and I tipped the Eels, and yeah, you
tipped against the Bulldogs as well, and then we both
had the Panthers. Yes pants has lost four in or
(04:01):
are you know even seen that? And what feels like
about twenty twenty years? And then the Titans as well,
pretty disappointing against the Dolphins. So Titlands are just I'm
really struggling to figure out what's happening there because they
looked really good in the game a few weeks against
the Nights, but ever since that's been very, very average,
so it could be could be a long season to
(04:22):
Titans fans, I think.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Well, like you said, mate, it's been a it's been
a roller coaster of a season, so long way it
continued because it's just entertaining.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
So it's great for the game.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
But before we get into team naming and also the
preview of the game, I'm sort of to just address
a couple of things with you, you know, before we get
into that. It's first of all, Tomato Martin has come
out saying, you know, on air, I think it was
a sport Nation that you know, he he he intends
to fulfill his contract this season. I can't remember if
he's signed just to the end of the season or
(04:53):
next season, but that he might be going for an extension.
All I heard was that he was going to fulfill
the contract this year. I don't know's gonnappen nxt she,
but so those they're prettyised squashes of the rumors that
he's you know, he's going to be gone. I think
that immediately those are the rumors going around, so good
to see that happening. But if he doesn't get regular
first grade games. I didn't see him staying any longer
past the season. What do you reckon?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah, so, yeah, he's won a three year deal and
three year so this is his last last year of
his contract. I think he just wants to up some
more hunting and fishing while he can, you know, to
be honest, he's just like play yourself. Well his cap.
He's probably on a pretty good, pretty wicked I imagine.
(05:36):
And yeah he's there as a as a as a
replacement we needed. But he'll be able to just not
feel too guilty about a few a few midweek hunting
trips or fishing trips. Oh yeah, I mean we talk
We talked about it, you know last week, John and
I think we both kind of said, you know, we wouldn't.
I don't think anyone would hold it against him off
if he did leave, but got on seeing out of contract.
(05:59):
So often the days we see players not not see
out contracts. Yeah, you know, contracts, it's just literally these
days to some of these players. So good to see
some intigrity there. And yeah, I mean, if if you
were him, if you've got a good deal going to
I think Lee Liop it's a Kenningham. Yeah, well why
(06:20):
would you not take out He probably makes some cooing
go play over there for you know, two or three seasons.
He's still pretty young. I was, I was surprised. I mean,
he's he's still only twenty nine. So I've talked about
half recently. He got like a cheery Evans Reynolds and
some of these guys Swan Johnson played last year. It's
a lot of these halfs are playing till you know,
(06:41):
mid thirties, so he could he could still have another
three or four years. He's obviously had his house is
health issues in the past. Yes, so far might just
be taking you day as it came. But he's by
all counts, I haven't been watching too much in your Cat,
but by all counts he's carving up in that leak.
You know, he's one of the one of the players
of the Can't So maybe yes, joined his footy, and
(07:02):
as I said, he's probably on a pretty good book
as well. So all the beats to what he decides
to do. I do hope we see him and fifth grading,
and I'm sure we will at some point. Knowing the
Warrior's luck offers and all that as well.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, well said mate, Well said, well, let's let's let's
hope that we do actually get see him more because
he is a great player.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
So the other the other sort of rumor that.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Was floating around and we actually the funny thing is
that we use this is that April Fool's April Fool's
joke online on our social channels, and you know, some
people actually believed this, and some people knew we were
just joking. But Joey Man, who is coming to the
Warrior as well, obviously there was a joke. But there
was a rumor today on The Age, which is an
Australian paper, that he was he's already gone to his
(07:45):
the French rugby club, which is who he's going. Apparently
he's going there after his Japanese contract is over. Japanese
rugby contract is over. He's asking for a media release
no due to family reasons, and that he could be
you know, looking to line up you know something here
in his end. But I mean I didn't say Worries specifically,
just said in New Zealand, so who knows they could
be in rugby here. So but interesting if it actually happens,
(08:07):
we're like, oh, we fooled you.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
You actually know we actually we were serious. We were
actually serious. We called it. We called it well you
called it, yeah, you called it actually.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah, you said it straight away. You're like, could happen though, bro, Like,
so you don't want to make it an Apples film
stroke gets too believable. Yeah, but yeah, maybe the compassionate
grounds will finally work in the warriors favor for once
in the like we we've seen it a few times
in the last few years. But yeah, obviously with Pushing
Harris coming over there last year and then maybe Joe
(08:36):
manor as well. So oh, I mean that would be huge.
They'd be the bigger signing in the story of the club,
wouldn't it. You know, like it be still obvious Calum
Pom rumors there as well. Yeah, I mean, so yeah,
who do you think would be the bigger signing? You know,
and not maybe not as far as sort of like
what they performed. Just feeling your head when you when
(08:56):
you heard this player was announced, you want to come
to mind there, h.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
Honestly, I honestly, just just when just going on the
velocity of like how you know, the the comments, et cetera,
and the hype and stuff. I think James Fisher Harris,
to be honest, when he was announced, I think that
was a that was a big one. And and I'm
not saying that other signings prior to him in yees,
(09:23):
the years of you know when just as big. But
I just think that when he was announced, I think
everyone was just taken aback. You know, everyone was like whoa, whoa, whoa.
I remember Dinning Camp, you know from the broken the Bar.
When they announced it, they showed him, you know, did
you remember see that video of him when they announced it.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
He was like are they like you know, like you
know sort of thing.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
So just by that reaction itself, it just shows you
how probably how big debt signing was. So in my opinion,
probably James Fisher Harris your fish is probably the biggest,
biggest sort of hype signing for the Warriors, and that
I can think of right on the top of my
head right now, What about yourself.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Yeah, he'd be up there. I was also thinking of
when Roger, when Roger came back, you know, when he
went to Union and then he came back, like I remember,
you know that was that was I mean I was
sort of expected but I was just sorry over the
moment about it. Yeah, I reckon Sam Tompkins is probably
the name that comes to mind, and obviously the game
wouldn't play so well, but I feel like, you know,
he was sort of shouted as you know, the savior.
(10:20):
And I don't think he was a horrible player. You know,
he wasn't bad at all, but he just kind of
probably didn't quite live up to what the Warriors fans
were hoping for. And yeah, sort of I think he
was only there for a season and then wasn't he Maybe, Yeah,
it's sort of like he was sort of toouted to
be this huge player, but he's I mean he's gone
back to the UK and you know that was probably
(10:43):
twelve years ago and he's still playing now. You know
at the club that chance might be inside the rumors,
that chance could be insight into it. He's he's there
playing now and and retiring at the end of the year.
So yeah, that probably the name the name that came
to my mind with social shout out to the fashion
and also to sort of when he came back from
from Union. It was just more joy on my behalf.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Fair enough, fair enough if you're listening out there. Let
us know in the comments. You know, we're on YouTube
on Facebook when we put this up, who you think
it was the biggest hype signing in you know in.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
The Warrior's history.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
You've heard us what we think, but we want to
hear what you have to say as well. So you know,
one one more thing I want to ask you, is
that the biggest one of the biggest news going around
and well, you know, do want to sort of you know,
depulp the baits going on at the moment? Any is
the eligibility for Origin, you know, because you know a
lot of a lot of players are now wanting to
sort of that play Origin currently want to now play
(11:40):
for some more which they technically can because there are
a Tier two nation in terms of international rugby league
and so they can technically play for uf Wales and
Queensland and play for USF Wales or Queensland. But now
people are saying, you know, there's there's all these should
should that Should that be abolished? Because should they be
(12:01):
allowed to Should it be you know, just just for Australia.
Should it be just something that's sort of just you know,
exclusive to Australians only, You know, if you if you
have to, you have to commit to Australia the Kangaroos,
if you want to play Origin. What are your thoughts,
because I'm hearing a lot of different different thoughts I heard, like,
for example, Nathan Homash saying to me, he loves that,
he loves it, you know, for to grow rugby league
internationally and it will still keep Origin strong you Karen Foran,
(12:24):
I heard him today on the Levels podcast. For example,
Kiwi five eight awesome player, but he grew up.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
He went, he grew up playing Junior forty in Sydney
from the age of eight.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
I think it is and and he said that you
know that he he loves playing for the Keys, he
loved the ju But he said if he had the
chance to play Origin, if he was allowed to do both,
he would have proudly worn the New South Wales blues jumper.
He would love to warn it next to Mitchell Pierce,
one of his great mates. He was saying, so he
was he was saying that he would love he would
have loved that if they If you could do that,
(12:55):
play for New Zealand but also play Origin. I mean
I've got mixed feelings about it. I can understand the
whole international thing where like you want to grow the
game internationally, but you know, does it does it sort
of you know in the gate the what orrin is
about if you know, if you just allow people to
play for other countries other than Australia. I mean, I'm
a bit fifty fifty on it. I haven't made my
mind up yet, but I want to want to hear
(13:15):
your thoughts on there.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Yeah, it would just depend on sort of what the rule.
You know, I couldn't just be that, you know one
one day, you know, you used to live in Sydney
and then you moved to Queensland one day, and then
all of a sudden you've lived here two days, and
you know, they'd have to be sort of rules around
having played as you said, like I just think here
in formed for example there, like yeah, having having played
sort of h grade stuff growing up. Yeah, but it
(13:43):
is I mean it's great for the international game. Or
saying what's happened in the last few years with sort
of Tom and some I even fig you know, it's
been so good for the international game. I mean Australian
Stone's every World Cup. But you know it's a bit
closer so in having Yeah what Tom, I made the
(14:03):
final nineteen and and then somehow I made it last time.
So yeah, it's I mean, it's it's it's good for
the game to have those those guys playing, but you'd
have to just, yea, make sure there is rules around
around it. I mean, I wouldn't mind it happening. But yeah,
(14:24):
White White can't Kiwis playing. That's the case, you know,
like I can't you have Yeah, yeah, like there's obviously
there's a lot of talking about some tam playing back
on the day I put the play and then come
play for the Kiwis. Yeah, really draw the line, because
I mean, when you've got the likes of you know,
someone could have halfs and from a similar playing in
(14:47):
the front row, imagine imagine coming up against those two
obviously well known from schoolboy rugby, schoolboy league and they
had that big punch up a few years ago, you know,
so imagine yeah, loads two if it's been a few
sets of the game with those two headed it up
from the back fence. Yeah, So yeah, it's just one
(15:11):
of those things where that's it, what's to happen. They
just have to make sure that the correct roles were there.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah, well then they need they need to they need
to stop finding loopholes. I think if they're gonna do that,
you're saying need fund rules. I mean back in the day, yeah,
you know, Tony Carroll Queensland Canyon played for the Kiwis,
played center for the Kiwis, and a few years later
I was playing for the Kangaroos and playing Origin you know.
Speaker 2 (15:36):
Sort of things.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
So it's just like, yeah, they're they're always loopholes and anything.
So they've got they've got to tighten it up. I mean,
whatever they do, they've got to make sure it's sitting stone,
you know, instead of just changing it in funding loopholes.
But interesting, I was, like I said, I'm still fifty
fifty on it. So I can understand the international growing
the international game side of things, but I'm also understanding.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
That you know, like you know, it's proud New.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
South walesman or crack proud Queensland. Do they want to
represent the state. And if you're not from the state,
or if you just grew up there as a teenager,
I mean it guess it. Guess it depends how you
feel about it anyway, But anyway, I just wanted to
ask you there, let's get into the team naming in
in the game. So Warriors playing the Storm in Melbourne
on Sunday afternoon. Do you want to go through the
team rate on the Warriors team?
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Mm hmm. If you'd be watching the Warriors games this year,
it's pretty much the same team as always, but we've
got chance at the back up against Haran Peppenhausen to
a Picky and Pompey on the wings. So Pompey after
playing the CTY last game moves out and Rockert Berry
Wllmaker's debut for the for the season with Aldi d
(16:43):
o'tawer and the Satas Beloved, the Harst period of Chanelle
Harris to be here and Luke Metcalf up against Game
Monster and Jerome Hughes, Jasper she Harrison, Mitch Barney in
the front with Wayne Regan cook cake bowl more after
Neil core no Corey market up against Eliektowa former Warrior
he's turned into probably one of, if not the second
(17:06):
row in the game, and then Aaron Clark finishing off
the starting thirteen with the beach of Antifara Jecks and Ford,
Dimitric Mulga and the Catala Sema so twna Boyd comes
in the eighteenth man, so he's sort of obviously making
his way up the picking order, and there's plenty of
other names there on the extended bench with Labour and
(17:28):
Healey to Marow, Marland and Cossi that we've we've talked
about the last few weeks. So yeah, I think I'm
not I mean, I think it was the right decision
to bring Rockaberry back, but well, yeah, we both shouted
out Cossie last week, but then I felt that, you know,
he put on in that game. I thought it was
sad them from him and definitely almost years you know, so,
(17:53):
but I think you do have to heavybus team and
and end up Rockerber's obviously, like from the last two years,
he's been one of the most consistent foremost when he's fit,
so I can't wait to see him him back. I'm
glad that Pompby's got a shot as well, because he, yeah,
similarly was amazing that game and it's been just been
missed reliable for the last two seasons. Now. You know,
(18:15):
he seemed to be sort of on the outer in
twenty twenty three and then he just he made that
that seemed to Jersey his own and so good that
they're still even when they've got these two young guys
coming up, they're still finding a spot for him. And
obviously a year two to see, I thought maybe they
might make a change in the bench. I think I
think Bunty board a lot of the energy last week
(18:36):
and I realized what I saw. But we've obviously both
talked about, you know, the addition of maybe bringing a
bit more utility in there with the las of seem
really but I mean not broke down facts so as
they say, and we're won three on the trot, so
I'm not going to compare too much about that team,
to be honest. How what we your original thoughts?
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Yeah, no surprises, to be honest.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
Had a feeling once Roco was, you know, read to go,
he would go jump straight back in the team. I
didn't know when that was going to happen, whether it
was this week or the week, you know, if it
doesn't matter how long, but I knew that. I mean,
I think everyone knows that as soon as he's fitting
ready to go, he would have jumped straight back in.
So yeah, like you said, shout out to cost you
he played a really good game, one of his best
games in a while. But yeah, I knew that would happen,
(19:23):
and un lucky you like, you know with with the
bunty thing, like, yeah, he didn't, he didn't play that
badly or anything. But I just thought against the Storm
team that runs teams ragged, you know, with their fitness,
you think maybe someone like a utility, someone that's got
me keep a bit more. They can last a bit
longer on the field, you know what I mean, They
can stay a bit longer on the field, might be
might be more worth it, like someone like Heally or
(19:43):
to Mido Martin, you know, someone like that.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Can't call on dun Clark. I was sorry, dun't clack,
doesn't clack? Sorry, what's going on? I can't call on
your Dylan Walker?
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Sorry mate? Sorry, right, it's late. You can't call on
Dylan Walker come one and do his thing from the bed.
So yes, I'd rather have an utility there. But like
you said, it's a winning team, so stick with it
for now.
Speaker 3 (20:12):
I agree, And it's going to be a challenge planning
up against that Storm team coming off the back of
a I think it was about forty eight twenty four.
It's mainly and that was only because Mainly scored about
three three tries in the last fifteen minutes, so that
was all over that manly team. And it's not a
bad Many team, obviously missing Tommy t but apart from
that pretty much Fox strength. When they've got seven and
(20:36):
Monster Hughes and Grant playing, it's never going to be easy.
You Allerd took before sixteen straight against them to Their
last win against the Storm was July twenty fifteen, so
it's nearly ten years, which is.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
It's a horrible record, right, it's a horrible record to have, right.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Yeah, games years overall played fifty two they have won
thirty four, we've one sixteen, so yeah, they've absolutely dominated.
That's this this match up, we've only won three of
fourteen Amy Stadium, So.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
Yeah, what joe Joey John's wid What Joey was all
talking about?
Speaker 1 (21:22):
I think we need to talking about the bogie team
because it's definitely we're definitely not their bogie team going
on those stats. But I think he was talking about
them in finals because we've done really well against them
in the finals football. I think that's where we've actually
done it well against the storm.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
We're all aware of that. We all remember where we
were when you know, Michael Watt's called that try in
the corner. We surely j did a little step around
Kevin Propter and Pop Port to Louie Brown to score
that track. Yeah, two two of my most vivid memories.
But yeah, it hasn't been great watching the saying that
(21:55):
he with Amy park class last year. You know, we
should have won that game. It wasn't for probably the
try of the year with Zavier Coats who were in
the corner. There was a few you know, like I
think the films called two black tries in the last
sort of about three or four minutes. I feel like
they game, didn't they And there was that charge that's
sort of half fast charged down that Mitch Bunny did
(22:17):
you know, and so forceful that you know, we would
have broken the curse. But I think maybe if we're
playing them lad in the season, we might we might
break the curse then. But I'm not holding my brief
this week. But yeah, I mean, what I want to
see I want to Yeah, I don't want to see them.
I don't want to see a repeat of Beings Day
two thousand and two. Was it no, yeah, many points?
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Wasn't it seventy points?
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Well by saying yeah, yeah, one of the.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
It was.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
But you know, Warriors were we're doing it hard, you
know when it comes to the States were in Australia
because of COVID. They were trying to keep the camp
going as well. I remember where the I remember at
the end of that game, cam Smith came into the
sheds and a head of talking to them, he like
gave them a talk to say thank you know, I
think a lot of club I think a lot of
a lot of the captains did that, did that after
(23:12):
each game where they were like thanking them for keeping
the camp you know afloat, but also just you know,
to keep the keep their heads up and stuff. So
that was really good Camon Smith to do that. But
I remember, so that's what I remember that game as well.
But yeah, this game is really concerning because, for example,
I mean, the week before the Storm lost to the Dragons,
and it's been a season where you don't know who's
gonna win, you know, who's going to turn up on
(23:33):
the day, you know, because some teams that you know
are surprising other teams. That's why if you look at
the ladder looks nothing like what the years previously have
looked like. When it comes to the ladder, you know,
you got the you got the panthers and the you
know in the well thirty or the fourteenth place or
something even the probably further down you know, you've got
roosters down there as well. So it looks very different.
And but I think what happened, you know against many
(23:55):
last week with on the weekend, sorry with with storm
was the big the big thing that changed the storm
was Jerome Hughes. He's been out, he gets back in.
He was named on the reserves. But I mean we
all knew that if he was named on the reserves
he was going to come back in. You know, he
was going to come back. And he did, and he
he made a big difference. And I think when you
got him and Cam Monster pairing up doing their thing,
(24:18):
you know, in his kicking game as well, and his
kicking and running game is is is elite.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
You know, it's up, it's right up there.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
And you know Deli delianda a middle winner as well,
so you know, so he's just I think he's a Delian.
He won a Delian last year, didn't he he did. Yeah,
so he's just like this shows how amazing is And
I think him getting injected into the team last last
week made a big difference to the Storm overpowering you know,
(24:50):
mainly by quite a big pop, by quite a big
margin in the end. So that's what I worry about,
is that when they're at full strength, they're very difficult
to bring down. But it'll be a good t for
the Warriors because you know, we've we've won three on
the trot.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
We've had a break now.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
I don't know if having a break before I begin
like this is a good thing or a bad thing.
It's hard to tell. Sometimes Sometimes you know you want
to keep them going by playing every week. Sometimes you
need a break to you restore the body. But it's
just gonna be a good test either way, whether to
see where they're at. I mean still early in the
season if we know, you know, but we'll still love
to see them put on a good fight and see
(25:25):
what we can do, because you know, we're not here
just to make up the numbers, right the Warrior We're
not here to make up the numbers. We're here to
win and win the premiership. And if you want to
win the premiership. Games like this against the premiership favorites.
This is where we're gonna find out where we're at
and where we need to improve. But again, as we've
spoke about in the last few weeks, things like they're
kicking the Warriors last last tackle kicking game, you know,
(25:47):
that sort of stuff. They've got to improve those things.
They can't just continue with that those plays, And for me,
it's quite negative. It's quite a negative tactic to do
it every play.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
So and I'm.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Not gonna get sorry guys, I'm not gonna go on
about it in the next five minutes or anything. I'm
not gonna go on about it. But I just think
in the seriousness they need to change that tactic. It's
I have been honestly just focusing a lot on the
other games where last tagle players what they've been doing,
and tea most most of the teams, like ninety percent
of the teams, most of them know about ninety percent
(26:19):
of the time, sorry, compete for the ball when they
put it up and under up and in the game
against the Tigers and the Broncos, Locky Galvin, he put
a few grubbers and there's led to try he did one.
He did one against the Warriors as well. It's like,
you know, Warriors, take note of this.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Play play do the.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Kicks that are necessary on the day, you know, play
played to the on a case by case basis of
what's happening. Don't just okay, our technic is to kick
the ball, will do it no matter where, no matter
where're out on the field.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
It's just yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
So I just think they need to improve things like that.
But hopefully with Rocco there as well.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
They'll improved that he's playing on the right. He plays
on the right, doesn't he Rocker? He plays on the right.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
So I hope that there's strengthens that defensive area there
as well. But it will make a break, I mean
not not break or break, but it'll give us a
good indication about where we're at this game, I think,
And if we can put on a good showing, it'll
it'll it'll be a big boost.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Yeah. I think I was looking at the odds before,
and I think it's sixteen and a half point underdult.
You know that's that's too big of a number, too
big of a number, you know, I'd happily take plus
six ten and a half. I think that's probably it
would be my better the weekend, you know, because we
should be able to keep it. So I know, this
(27:35):
the Storm team, you know, once once they get in
a role, they can they can you know, have a
good go. But the way there's sort of four packs
playing and the way we're being defended, I think it
defends been pretty good on the whole. There's not perfect.
There's still a few flaws, but yeah, I think we
can just start with the intensity that we sort of
(27:56):
started and there, you know, and the Tiger's game. You know,
we we sort of forced to drop out early from
from a couple of really good kick chases. I know
you talk about the the kicking tap deck and you
know we're not able to get away with a lot
of it, the likes of you know, Coats and at
the back there Grant Anderson's playing like it's just like
(28:19):
it's a clasic example of the Storm and what they
can do to a player. Right, he just looks like
a really ordinary player. But it's something in the way
that Bell me just he sees the strengths and I
mean he's it's pictacular. I mean, he's got a hat
trick last week. I thought last season he was so good.
I think he were been injured for the Grand Final
but would have differently played and he was. He just
(28:42):
he looks like one of the greatest wingers of all
time playing for the Storm team. So yeah, we're not
We're going to be able to be wary of that.
You know, like, you know, you can't give people hows
in any room. Coach is one of the best, most
sort of physical wingers. In those chips to the corner
when we're close to the line, you know, we're going
to struggle to get it over coats. So yeah, we're
going to try some different air, put some chips through,
(29:02):
put some little up and unders or something like that,
and just yeah, just you know, we saw last week
there's some crazy bounces of the bull. I don't know
if you saw on the uh Reddose game with Mitchell
with those dropouts, and you know, I just it's bounce
the ball. You know. It's just you're gonna you're gonna
try your luck and say so hopefully we'll be able
(29:23):
to do that. But well, if we're gonna wint, that
be very happy. But I'm not for that.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Yeah, fair enough, but what what do you think the
Warriors need to do, like, for example, is there a
specific I mean, the Warrior the Storm are full of
players that you need to you need to stop and
bring down. But is there anyone specifically that you can
that you can point out that the Warriors needed, you know,
need to need to stop that will help sort of
repel their attack a little bit, you know. There they're
(29:51):
playmakers are months Day and Jerome Hughes. But you've got
carry ground and for me it would be Harry Grant.
But who if we can stop him and his rug
speed and you know, because he's the biggest grub, so
you need to stop him. You need to stop him
in his tracks. But who do you think, what do
you think the Warriors need to do? Well, who do
you think they need to stop, you know, to sort
of you know, keep them keep the balven storm at bay.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
I think it's that sort of combination on the right
between sort of Hughes Cat and when Pepper Housing comes
in as well, you know, like when they just they
just do stuff that you know, it'll be three on
three and then all of a sudden, the way that
these sort of the way that they play the game,
they'll just they just call you know, to make these
really easy overlaps and that sort of thing, and just
(30:37):
make it, you know, like just making line breaks and
as easy as that. I mean peppen ows and so
both peppers and Hughes are so quick off the off
their face, so it's probably just you're looking towards I'd
say Huge is probably the man there. But what he
can do as far like and how much of a
fall he can make the defenses. Look, that's probably where
i'd be. Yeah, like most can soon about the warrior.
(31:01):
If the storm do get in one of those roles, yeah,
they just you know, they can score three tries and
ten minutes pretty easily. So we just have to be
very aware of that. I think for the I think
for the Warriors, i'd be looking to way they're in.
To be honest, I think he's been you know, I
think the ones that we've had this year, I think
he's been one of what that's not our best and
(31:24):
uh it's been one of the best pokers in the
comp I reckon and just you know, like he had
a bit of a bit of a loll last year.
I don't think he wasn't quite at the level that
we'd send him in twenty twenty three. But from what
we've seen so far, he's been great. So if he
can go, you know, any sort of running the ball
a lot more from Dummy and and Magan, and he's
got a couple of really good running houts around him,
(31:45):
and and we saw that and especially that Tigers game
with that try so and he I think he set that.
Mil Quary's won as well, just with a little you know,
a little little sort of dummy and the Dummie Royland
and then a good balls at nol Cory. So yeah,
that's I'll be looking for the worries where they need
to sort of get some front football, but as far
as the defensively right each in particular sort of based
(32:09):
around Hughes would be where I'd be. I'm just gonna
be a little bit scolarship, which I might see him
at the ball.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
Yeah, fair enough, br And actually, you know, the more
you talk about it, the more I'm really realizing, Yeah,
you're right, because as I mentioned before, he's the one
that made it made a difference in the game, because
you know, if we'd come into this game, just say,
coming into this game, huge wasn't available, but he was
still he was still out injured, and then I would
be feeling a lot more confident now, you know, I
would be more confident that we can contain Monster and
(32:37):
the likes of Monster and Harry Grant, et cetera. I'ld
be actually quite confident. But now that he's come in,
and he's come in, it's not because I'm like, oh
my gosh, Joan Hughes, he's an amazing player. It's because
you saw what he can do when he actually keep
bick in and when he combines with the other players,
you can see what he can do. Like you said,
he's got a great kicking game. He's got a great
running game as well. He texts at texts as well.
(32:58):
You don't just he doesn't just play the ball and
it makes things happen.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
He attacks as well. He's running half back.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
And yeah, so I just think that, like you said,
you feel scrimmish when he's got the ball. I'll be
the same, a bit worried when he gets his hands
on the ball because you don't know what magic he's
gonna pull out, you know. So, yeah, containing Jerome Hughes
is probably, Yeah, you're right. I think containing Drome Hughes
is probably the key to sort of keeping Melbourne Storm
at baby, because you can if you can contain him
(33:27):
and keep him off his game, then you've got a
real chance, as as you've seen in the previous games
when they they didn't have him in there.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
So yeah, good cool.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
But I mean, are you we're not doing tips yet,
but you know, are you picking? You're gonna pick the
Storm to overcome the Warriors by big margin or you're
gonna have you know, show the faith and.
Speaker 3 (33:47):
Have the Warriors, you know, break the whodo show the
faith and have the Storm one. Okay, Warriors that sixed
into my faith. Oh look, I love him in but
like I just steps are steps are against them And
(34:09):
I mean, and this is incredibly good albums, you know,
like I really write them there, I think I do.
I put them to take the Premiers shop. I think
you did as well as well. Yeah, yeah, and we're
playing over there. Maybe if it was a mount smart
you know, as I said before, we might be able
to sneak one. But yeah, I mean we haven't beat
them in nine and a half years, bro, so nearly
(34:31):
nearly ten years here, nine than three quarters years. So now, yeah,
Storm ons I go storm once twelve. But yeah, as
I said before the plus sixteen and a half, you
can watch that. You could back there and then if
what you do when you just you know, it's one
of the easiest. When easiest when did you live behead?
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Yeah, no, it's unfortunate. I mean, like you know, because
I mean.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
They know my my you know, my rugby league brain
is saying storm, you know sort of thing, but my
rugby league heart saying Warriors is always so the hard one. Well, well,
i'll reveal what I'll reveal the audio tips and stuff
like that. But what what are you most looking forward
to about this game?
Speaker 3 (35:14):
I just want to see yeahs I'm a stud mentioned before.
I want to see yeah wag and rip it up
in the middle there, and I want to see uh
just this this harvest combination sort of it to the
next level. They've been solid so far without being spectacular.
But you know, I don't know if you've read some
(35:35):
big big names and mus rugby League sort of talk
talk them up and say, you know, I said this
is particularly Metcalf. You know that he's he's the seventh,
He's the seven of the future. So yeah, I want
to see a bit more and a bit more inventive kicking.
But yeah, mother, what I see from from Wigan and
when he's run the ball and finding out space around
(35:56):
the rock, we sort of better thing from it. So yeah,
that'd be what I'm mostly.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
How about yourself, Yeah, well, like I mentioned before, is
just to see where we're at. I think this is
a good game to test itself, to see where we're at.
I don't think the other games really so, you know,
I mean mainly yes, you know, when we beat Manly,
you know, because they were they look pretty, you know, pretty.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
Hot on fire.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
But obviously there are some internal things going on, you
know DC as well. I don't think he'd announced it
then at the time when he was leaving Utuff, but
you know he was leading up to it, so I
can't really tell. But I think this game, especially with
a pretty much a full strength Melbourne storm side, it'll
be a good indication of where we're at and what
we need to do to improve. Because even like just
for example, just just say we do lose, Just say
(36:43):
we do lose, and depending on by depending on how
we lose, how many points we lose by, or how
we lose, it'll be a good indication to see where
we're at because you know, Melbourne Storm definitely the high
flying favorites of this competition, and I think that, yeah,
that's what I'm most looking forward to. It's just to
analyzing to see where where where the warriors are and
(37:05):
you know, it gives us, you know, you can think
that if they do put it in a good performance
for example, when awesome, brilliant, you know we're right there.
Speaker 2 (37:11):
And if they lose just.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
Say Friday, just like within within six to eight points
for example, you're thinking, okay, okay, we lost, but look,
you know this was a full strength Melbourne side who
was amazing, amazing, full strength Melbourne side.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
We can do this.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
We need to improve and gains and just you know,
and just build up towards the next you know, next
time we see them. I'm not sure if we played
them again in the season, but you know, just build
up towards you know, thinking like, no, we've got this,
we can get there, we can play them again, we
can change things.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
So for me, that's what I'm most looking forward to.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
It's to seeing where we're at and how they go
about it, because yeah, they need to treat.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
It like a Grand Final.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
They need to treat it like a grand final because
they're playing against the team that probably be in the
Grand final.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
So that's what i'must looking forward to.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Yeah, well wait, wait, do you want to give away
your tricks and round robin? You know, we only beat
them in finals games, so it's true literally really count.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
True, true, very very true.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
Well, look, anything else you want to bring up about
the game, but I think we'll kind of summed it
all up, just up the mighty Wars and and yeah,
hopefully they can cover the six steven and a half.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Yeah, no, well, I'm just yeah, I'm just I just
like I said, the brain is saying the storm. But
I'm still got a glimpse, you know, just just a
glimpse of hope that the Warriors are going to pull
out something, you know, really amazing.
Speaker 2 (38:33):
But hopefully it's.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Not like they're peaking at the wrong time, you know,
hopefully they're not like picking at the wrong time. But
I'll still like to see a good solo performance, like,
you know, even if we lose, still want to see
a solo performance. And it just gives me hope and
faith for the risk of the season that they can
continue on that you know, for example, if we were.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Playing the Bulldogs.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
For example, who are you know, top of the table?
Haven't lost the season. They're five and zero right now,
And if we were playing the Bulldogs, I would have
I would have confidence that we could do it. I
would have confidence that we could do it. So people
can say, well, at the top of the table they're
winning games, but yeah, I still think that we could
beat the board. I don't think they're unbeatable. There's the
thing about the Bulldogs. They're winning the games, but I
(39:12):
don't think they're unbeatable. And so I just want to
see a really good, strong performance by the Warriors to
see where we're at. But look, let's move on to
tips mate. You want to, you want to, we're not
doing sorry, just everyone knowing.
Speaker 2 (39:25):
We usually do wile m's and stuff and do other
other segments as well, but because there was a buye,
we're just going to focus on the team naming as
we did and also preview. But now we'll go on too.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Tips unless unless you want to do ask you did
you have something for us chet GPD Richard?
Speaker 3 (39:42):
I did? Actually what did I say? I was talking
about thinking about why they're in and and and we're
talking about eligibility as well. Us is quite fitting. So
I just said, you know, a few years ago there
was some chat about you know Egan with the U
South Wales, but I know mother and Maguire had mentioned
them as a you know like or wouldn't mind saying
what his eligibility was like. So I don't know where
(40:04):
his keys the eligibility is, but I did ask chech
gpt and so in summary there's a bit of a
I won't boy with the sort of the port bolt points,
but I'll bebe the summary of what chech GV said.
In summary, well, Egan has been a stand up performing
for the Warriors and as a candidate for News half
our selection. Eligibility ability to play for the Keywis remains unconfirmed. Therefore,
(40:26):
unless he meets the specific criteria set by Interenetional UBI
League regulations, he would not be able to represent New
Zealand and International Rugby League. So yeah, kind of goes
back to what we said for about eligibility and no
one quite knows what it is for different teams. Maybe
the Keywis will be a Tier two team in no time,
(40:51):
so well we'll see bro. So what we're going to
do will do a quick quick awards for twenty twenty
five so far. We'll review the way too early awards
I'm calling them, and we'll just give a few few
awards out for the four games so far, and we'll
start off with the best forward of the year. I'm
(41:11):
giving that to Aaron Clark. I think he's been absolutely immense.
I've been so impressed with him and he's bought so
much week in week out, especially with Dylan Walker since
Dylan Walker's gone, and he's really stepped up. So he's
my best forward. You've got a bis forward for us, John.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Yep, Same same mate, Aaron Clark. Aaron Clark got it down.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
I mean I had Dylan Walker, you know, I had him.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
I was saying, it's sad season.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
He should be starting, and he should be then inter
classhould be coming off the bench. But Aaron Clark has been,
like you said, the mens you've took, You've basically explained it,
you know, in a nutshell right there. So yeah, Aaron
Clapp for me was it's been the best forward so far.
Speaker 3 (41:49):
Nice. Yeah, how to how to scree with that? As
it was mine? Also, Bess Beck Biss Beck. I'm going
with Chans. Actually, I think we've you know, there's been
a few Christians about his his spot, his future, but
in particularly in the last two games, I think he
was one of the best in the park. And just
you know, back to sort of you know I've talked
(42:11):
about with a few players, but back to twenty twenty three.
So I've been really really liked what I was saying
from him, So hopefully he can keep bringing that, bringing
that hate. Who have you got for us?
Speaker 1 (42:20):
Well, I have got ali Leata, so I've got him
and and he's been I think he's been amazing, such
a such a young guy, but you know, he seems
to be as each game goes by, he's maturing more
and more, and he's finishing off the balls that are
given to him. He's finishing off creating that you know,
sort of game, running it straight through, scoring those tries.
That's why he's he's on the track, you know, he's
(42:41):
getting those tries as well as just he's finishing it
off perfectly.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
So I think he's just doing really well. And star
of the future.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
Yeah, that's a great shout. Yeah, I think he's it
must be a top top try score as La.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
Be up there.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
Yeah, most Improved, I've got a film. We might be
on the same page here. Well, well, I'll start start
us off and say, jackson Ford, I think his effort
off the bench has just been incredible and I've just
been so so impressed with them. We both pretty much
said we didn't think that he hit a spot left
(43:16):
in the team, and he's more than more than I
proved us wrong. Were So are you going with jackson
Ford or if you found somewhere somewhere else.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
I did have jackson Ford at first, but I just
did change last minute. I put in new Court was
most Improved, not only because I just thought he was.
I thought he was just well he was. He was
I think, you know, by his own standards he was.
He was not great last year and coming into this season,
I don't think he'd improved at all.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
But I just the last couple of games, I've seen
him just slowly starting to.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
Get back to his best. Not maybe no, may not
to his best, but he's slowly getting there, you know
what I mean. He's starting to improve. And this is
the Most Improved Awards. That's why I put him there,
because he's slowly starting to improve and get up there again.
So that's only a good thing for the Warriors because
he's can be devastating on day and as long as
he's running some hard lines, isn't he at the moment?
And Jesus you continues to do that when we when
(44:07):
we sweep. So yeah, I had him as my most improved.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
Yeah, I agree with that. I think those last two
games in particular is the best we've seen from them
in a very long time, at least since twenty three.
The most Surprising his nixt award, and I've given it
to Lika Hala Sema. I obviously loved worstall from him
last year. Absolutely it was explosive, but I sort of
wasn't wasn't expecting to see him playing every week. But
(44:33):
I mean, there's no way they're taking that. That's what
that beach spot off them now and obviously that that
try will go down and is probably the try of
the season, I imagine. So yeah, likall my most surprising who
have you? Who have you got? There?
Speaker 1 (44:48):
Jackson Ford has stopped them in there, And I mean
if you if you, if you've been listening or watching
our show, you'll realize you'll know that I've I wasn't
too impressed with Jackson Ford, you know, to begin with
them thing he should be there. Well, it wasn't so
much Pressville. I just thought there were other people better.
That's what I said last week as well. But I
think that, as I mentioned last week also that he's
(45:08):
he's been the perfect sub. He's usually the first one
the interchange to come on, and he stays on, plays
a lot of minutes as well, and he's just he's
running some hard lines as well for you know, someone
who's a bit of a smaller body compared to or
a normal front rower, but he's doing a front roller's
job as well, and he's actually doing a great job.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
And he's doing it. He's making mean.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
Like again last week I said it, he made sixty
two post contact meters last week. That's pretty good, you know,
by his standards and stuff. So I think, you know,
he's been my most surprising player, but hopefully more and more,
you know, he continues throughout the whole season. Yeah, that's
my most surprising player.
Speaker 3 (45:39):
Yeah, reached the converter bro Yeah, when you when you
didn't have him as most improved, I had a feeling
he might he might pop up there to be honest,
and I could have said it that the way around
as well. So the final award is the MVP of
the first four games this season. I've named four players already,
but my MVP isn't one of those four players. I've
gone elsewhere such a player that a player that I've
(46:01):
mentioned already on the on the podcast tonight and sang
sang his praise Wait love love what I've say.
Speaker 2 (46:08):
Yeah, and you.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
Love what I've saying, And he's said he's had so
much their attacks speaking with this sort of experienced hassh period.
I think. So he's my early peck for Delia and
Hooker of the Year, and also my early pecked for
around the cyber Man in the middle. I think, have
you got I had?
Speaker 2 (46:26):
I had him as well.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
I was tossing up between him and Aaron Clark. But yeah, yeah,
I'll give I'll give it to just to just to
keep it different from my other picks, but very similar
picks that we we've had.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
So it's pretty good. It's good to know.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
Yeah, I just hope they can continue the form that
they're going through, because they're going they're going through some
really good, some really good.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Patches of form. So again, long way to continue for
the Warrior's sake.
Speaker 3 (46:48):
I mean, brother, I mean, should we do a quick
quick ground tips Yep, yep, cool. Cool. So we do
have Warriors games look forward to, but it's not till
Sunday afternoons. Just out on Thursday night with the Dolphins
and the Panthers. The Panthers have lost four straight and
the Dolphins are obviously coming off their first one of
the season. I'm gonna go to the Panthers. I don't
(47:10):
think we're going to lose five straight. How about yourself?
Speaker 2 (47:12):
Yeah, the same Panthers. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Dragons, Dragons Titans early Friday game. Dragons just lost the
Eels and the Titans have been pretty atrocious, so it
might not be the best game, but you find some
value in the Titans or do you think the Dragons
are doing?
Speaker 2 (47:30):
Dragons have got Dragons.
Speaker 1 (47:32):
I mean again, it's one of those ones you don't
know who's gonna come out, you know who's going to
tune up on the day.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
But I think Dragons will take it.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
Yeah. I think Tino is out for the Titans as
well with the with the crackdown. So Broncos Roasters up next.
Roosters looked all right a few weeks ago, but they
seem to be have been found out a little bit,
and the Broncos look they're back to their best. So
it's uncorp too.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
Yeah, of course, when is it not?
Speaker 3 (48:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (48:01):
No, I mean the Roosters the drop Chad towns end
because of his poor form. But I think it brings
some young young tour guy coming into coming at seven.
But I don't know nothing about him. But I don't
know if you'll make a big difference here.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
But yeah, Broncos for.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
Me, Yeah, same here. Sharks Seageles could be an all
right game. Both teams will be pretty disappointed in their
performances last week. But there's a lot of a lot
of talent on the field there. It's it's it's at
Shark Park, but obviously not too far up the road
for the Seagulls. Who you got there.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
Are Sharks Sharks, Yeah, and.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
We have to go against you for one, So I'll
take the Seagles quite happily, right. Rebindos Cowboys. Cowboys obviously
got got up over the Panthers last week, and the
Rabbits looked pretty good against the Roosters and the trails
back and looking pretty fair. I think he's playing five
eight this week, so dig to see what happens. I'm
happy at the Rabbits.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
Reeds as well. I let them pencil down.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
Late Saturday night game Eels Raiders. It was obviously coming
off their fifth on the season and Raiders coming off
a good win. Raiders are good at home, but they
haven't been grayed away from home. Do you think the
Eels can sneak another another one without lo mix? Nah?
Speaker 2 (49:17):
I think Raiders Raiders will take this one.
Speaker 3 (49:19):
Just I can't. I can't abandon my beloved Raiders. So ye,
storm wise, you're going Warriors during plus a year?
Speaker 1 (49:29):
No, I wouldn't go there far. Like I said earlier,
I do think the storm will take it.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
So am I am?
Speaker 1 (49:37):
I just is this just a stupid thing to say?
But I'll go Warriors. But even though I think the
Storm will win it, am I just going to just
put the faith in the Warriors and just say, yep,
put my hope in the Warriors, and I hope that
we come away with the wind.
Speaker 2 (49:49):
That I get their point there. So I'll go with
the Warriors.
Speaker 3 (49:51):
With the Warriors, I'll be more than happy to to
loads of swim. I'll go to Storm, so I just
need it even up the scoreboard a little bit, and
Knights and Tigers to finish it off.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
So yeah, it's hard.
Speaker 3 (50:05):
Mentioned before. Tigers are pretty good against the Broncos and
the Knights. I think they they didn't score a point
against the Bulldogs, but they would played with four day
men for most of that game, so they actually did
all right considering and.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
And for a big chunk of the time it was
the law for a big chunk of the time. I
watched a lot of the game, and.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
They weren't their bad. They actually were their bad. Mum hmm.
I'd probably give it to the ball sorry.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
I guess because as John no way back this time.
He's beg this week, isn't he. I think this only
had one, Yeah, one game. I'll go to the Tigers.
The Tigers.
Speaker 3 (50:50):
I'll go to the Knights, just to mix it up.
Speaker 2 (50:52):
So it's a hard one. It's a hard one though,
it's not an easy one to pick.
Speaker 3 (50:55):
So yeah, I think it's a good game. I think
I'll stay up for the one might be. I think
it's still six o'clock and eight o'clock games, which is annoying.
But maybe if doubt, saving might be a speech over there,
so maybe the games will come forward to four and suck,
which is always a nice nice treat on a Sunday
afternoon for once. Start savings over.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (51:18):
Yeah, well that's up the tips. Just to update on
the tip. So I'm currently winning twenty six twenty three.
So you started the season well, John, but yeah it's
slowly just you know, it's it's.
Speaker 1 (51:32):
Not a good season for tipping at the moment. But yeah,
we'll see, we'll see. Well, thanks everyone, Thanks for listening. Again,
