I'm good, bro, But I was a little bit lost
to NOI kind really just you know, just keep checking
the you know, the square box to see if when
the Warriors were playing, But there was no Warriors look
forward to, so I had to set them to watch.
You know. I didn't watch as much I would like to,
but there was enough nothing tame lead onto to keep
me keep me entertained at the weekend. But I'm just

firs to Yeah to another weekend of Warriors footy and
yeah the same where we can break this this this
long drought. Although Joey Johns is same with the Storms
Bogy teams. So yeah, that.

just you know, I just was just twiddling my thumbs.
So what do I do my weekend? The Warriors just
sort of looked forward to us but last but my
parents in town. So yeah, it was a little bit
to play anyway.

So yeah, fair enough. I mean I love to watch
a little bit of the games on the weekend. I
thought the Tigers Broncos game was a really good one. Like,
you know, I know that the Broncos ended up winning
quite comfortable in the end, but it was actually quite
a good game. I thought, you know, the Tigers were
right in it and just to some few kind of
defensive lapses and you know, the Broncos talking apart, but

I thought, you know, for for a big chunk of
the game, was actually quite a good game.

And they tries to one.

As I said this a period on the game, but
I was that guy I was watching, and yeah, it
was just back and forth, you know, like there was
just heaps of tries and the Tigers a scoring some
really good tries and they were keeping on that. But yeah,
I think I would to be before they did the game.
But like the Broncos scored a few tries to run
away with it, but the squadn't do the game justice.
And that Thursday night game was was an absolute barn Stormers.

But it was six or seven tries in the first
half and then there was just nothing in the second half,
and then the Raiders decided to you know, run it
on the last and it was like Warriors footy of
old watching that that that Raiders try and win the
game as well. So a great game, couple of tries
to him, a couple of tries to bring in the
coreer good, a good good game for some some talented

And yeah, I'll tell you what I mean, the betting
agencies must be loving this at the moment because it's
so hard to pick who's gonna win at the moment.

the storm losing to the Dragons in the previous round,
and then the Dragons lose to the Eels.

that you know it didn't happened to have a you know,

in that game. I mean, that's why I'm hearing from
the common trader is you watch the game that much.

you know, sort of rose up. And I can't understand
that did the other Warriors too, But yeah, so you
just you never know who's gonna win them on the night,

on the day. So it's be an awesome season to watch.
But they must be loving it because I'm pretty sure
people with maltes won't be they won't be getting their malties.

I think that's our tipping cop. You got three last week, John,
A bit of a rough weight for you. I got
fired a little bit bitter. I did tip. I tipped
the Raiders and I tipped the Eels, and yeah, you
tipped against the Bulldogs as well, and then we both
had the Panthers. Yes pants has lost four in or

are you know even seen that? And what feels like
about twenty twenty years? And then the Titans as well,
pretty disappointing against the Dolphins. So Titlands are just I'm
really struggling to figure out what's happening there because they
looked really good in the game a few weeks against
the Nights, but ever since that's been very, very average,
so it could be could be a long season to

Well, like you said, mate, it's been a it's been
a roller coaster of a season, so long way it
continued because it's just entertaining.

But before we get into team naming and also the
preview of the game, I'm sort of to just address
a couple of things with you, you know, before we get
into that. It's first of all, Tomato Martin has come
out saying, you know, on air, I think it was
a sport Nation that you know, he he he intends
to fulfill his contract this season. I can't remember if
he's signed just to the end of the season or

next season, but that he might be going for an extension.
All I heard was that he was going to fulfill
the contract this year. I don't know's gonnappen nxt she,
but so those they're prettyised squashes of the rumors that
he's you know, he's going to be gone. I think
that immediately those are the rumors going around, so good
to see that happening. But if he doesn't get regular
first grade games. I didn't see him staying any longer
past the season. What do you reckon?
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah, so, yeah, he's won a three year deal and
three year so this is his last last year of
his contract. I think he just wants to up some
more hunting and fishing while he can, you know, to
be honest, he's just like play yourself. Well his cap.
He's probably on a pretty good, pretty wicked I imagine.

And yeah he's there as a as a as a
replacement we needed. But he'll be able to just not
feel too guilty about a few a few midweek hunting
trips or fishing trips. Oh yeah, I mean we talk
We talked about it, you know last week, John and
I think we both kind of said, you know, we wouldn't.
I don't think anyone would hold it against him off
if he did leave, but got on seeing out of contract.

So often the days we see players not not see
out contracts. Yeah, you know, contracts, it's just literally these
days to some of these players. So good to see
some intigrity there. And yeah, I mean, if if you
were him, if you've got a good deal going to
I think Lee Liop it's a Kenningham. Yeah, well why

would you not take out He probably makes some cooing
go play over there for you know, two or three seasons.
He's still pretty young. I was, I was surprised. I mean,
he's he's still only twenty nine. So I've talked about
half recently. He got like a cheery Evans Reynolds and
some of these guys Swan Johnson played last year. It's
a lot of these halfs are playing till you know,

mid thirties, so he could he could still have another
three or four years. He's obviously had his house is
health issues in the past. Yes, so far might just
be taking you day as it came. But he's by
all counts, I haven't been watching too much in your Cat,
but by all counts he's carving up in that leak.

of the Can't So maybe yes, joined his footy, and

as I said, he's probably on a pretty good book
as well. So all the beats to what he decides
to do. I do hope we see him and fifth grading,
and I'm sure we will at some point. Knowing the

Australian paper, that he was he's already gone to his

he's going there after his Japanese contract is over. Japanese
rugby contract is over. He's asking for a media release
no due to family reasons, and that he could be
you know, looking to line up you know something here
in his end. But I mean I didn't say Worries specifically,
just said in New Zealand, so who knows they could
be in rugby here. So but interesting if it actually happens,

Honestly, I honestly, just just when just going on the

and the hype and stuff. I think James Fisher Harris,
to be honest, when he was announced, I think that
was a that was a big one. And and I'm
not saying that other signings prior to him in yees,

the years of you know when just as big. But
I just think that when he was announced, I think
everyone was just taken aback. You know, everyone was like whoa, whoa, whoa.
I remember Dinning Camp, you know from the broken the Bar.
When they announced it, they showed him, you know, did
you remember see that video of him when they announced it.

He was like are they like you know, like you

So just by that reaction itself, it just shows you
how probably how big debt signing was. So in my opinion,
probably James Fisher Harris your fish is probably the biggest,
biggest sort of hype signing for the Warriors, and that
I can think of right on the top of my
head right now, What about yourself.

Yeah, he'd be up there. I was also thinking of
when Roger, when Roger came back, you know, when he
went to Union and then he came back, like I remember,
you know that was that was I mean I was
sort of expected but I was just sorry over the
moment about it. Yeah, I reckon Sam Tompkins is probably
the name that comes to mind, and obviously the game
wouldn't play so well, but I feel like, you know,
he was sort of shouted as you know, the savior.

And I don't think he was a horrible player. You know,
he wasn't bad at all, but he just kind of
probably didn't quite live up to what the Warriors fans
were hoping for. And yeah, sort of I think he
was only there for a season and then wasn't he Maybe, Yeah,
it's sort of like he was sort of toouted to
be this huge player, but he's I mean he's gone
back to the UK and you know that was probably

twelve years ago and he's still playing now. You know
at the club that chance might be inside the rumors,
that chance could be insight into it. He's he's there
playing now and and retiring at the end of the year.
So yeah, that probably the name the name that came
to my mind with social shout out to the fashion
and also to sort of when he came back from
from Union. It was just more joy on my behalf.

lot of a lot of players are now wanting to
sort of that play Origin currently want to now play

for some more which they technically can because there are
a Tier two nation in terms of international rugby league
and so they can technically play for uf Wales and
Queensland and play for USF Wales or Queensland. But now
people are saying, you know, there's there's all these should
should that Should that be abolished? Because should they be

allowed to Should it be you know, just just for Australia.
Should it be just something that's sort of just you know,
exclusive to Australians only, You know, if you if you
have to, you have to commit to Australia the Kangaroos,
if you want to play Origin. What are your thoughts,
because I'm hearing a lot of different different thoughts I heard, like,
for example, Nathan Homash saying to me, he loves that,
he loves it, you know, for to grow rugby league
internationally and it will still keep Origin strong you Karen Foran,

Kiwi five eight awesome player, but he grew up.

He went, he grew up playing Junior forty in Sydney
from the age of eight.

having played as you said, like I just think here
in formed for example there, like yeah, having having played
sort of h grade stuff growing up. Yeah, but it

is I mean it's great for the international game. Or
saying what's happened in the last few years with sort
of Tom and some I even fig you know, it's
been so good for the international game. I mean Australian
Stone's every World Cup. But you know it's a bit
closer so in having Yeah what Tom, I made the

So yeah, it's I mean, it's it's it's good for
the game to have those those guys playing, but you'd
have to just, yea, make sure there is rules around

it's pretty much the same team as always, but we've
got chance at the back up against Haran Peppenhausen to
a Picky and Pompey on the wings. So Pompey after
playing the CTY last game moves out and Rockert Berry
Wllmaker's debut for the for the season with Aldi d

o'tawer and the Satas Beloved, the Harst period of Chanelle
Harris to be here and Luke Metcalf up against Game
Monster and Jerome Hughes, Jasper she Harrison, Mitch Barney in
the front with Wayne Regan cook cake bowl more after

he's turned into probably one of, if not the second

row in the game, and then Aaron Clark finishing off
the starting thirteen with the beach of Antifara Jecks and Ford,
Dimitric Mulga and the Catala Sema so twna Boyd comes
in the eighteenth man, so he's sort of obviously making
his way up the picking order, and there's plenty of
other names there on the extended bench with Labour and

Healey to Marow, Marland and Cossi that we've we've talked
about the last few weeks. So yeah, I think I'm
not I mean, I think it was the right decision
to bring Rockaberry back, but well, yeah, we both shouted
out Cossie last week, but then I felt that, you know,

sad them from him and definitely almost years you know, so,

and end up Rockerber's obviously, like from the last two years,
he's been one of the most consistent foremost when he's fit,
so I can't wait to see him him back. I'm
glad that Pompby's got a shot as well, because he, yeah,

he seemed to be sort of on the outer in
twenty twenty three and then he just he made that
that seemed to Jersey his own and so good that
they're still even when they've got these two young guys
coming up, they're still finding a spot for him. And
obviously a year two to see, I thought maybe they
might make a change in the bench. I think I
think Bunty board a lot of the energy last week

and I realized what I saw. But we've obviously both
talked about, you know, the addition of maybe bringing a
bit more utility in there with the las of seem

Yeah, no surprises, to be honest.

Had a feeling once Roco was, you know, read to go,
he would go jump straight back in the team. I
didn't know when that was going to happen, whether it
was this week or the week, you know, if it
doesn't matter how long, but I knew that. I mean,
I think everyone knows that as soon as he's fitting
ready to go, he would have jumped straight back in.
So yeah, like you said, shout out to cost you
he played a really good game, one of his best
games in a while. But yeah, I knew that would happen,

and un lucky you like, you know with with the
bunty thing, like, yeah, he didn't, he didn't play that
badly or anything. But I just thought against the Storm
team that runs teams ragged, you know, with their fitness,
you think maybe someone like a utility, someone that's got
me keep a bit more. They can last a bit
longer on the field, you know what I mean, They
can stay a bit longer on the field, might be
might be more worth it, like someone like Heally or

that pretty much Fox strength. When they've got seven and

last win against the Storm was July twenty fifteen, so
it's nearly ten years, which is.

Yeah, games years overall played fifty two they have won
thirty four, we've one sixteen, so yeah, they've absolutely dominated.
That's this this match up, we've only won three of
fourteen Amy Stadium, So.

I think we need to talking about the bogie team
because it's definitely we're definitely not their bogie team going
on those stats. But I think he was talking about
them in finals because we've done really well against them
in the finals football. I think that's where we've actually
done it well against the storm.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
We're all aware of that. We all remember where we
were when you know, Michael Watt's called that try in
the corner. We surely j did a little step around
Kevin Propter and Pop Port to Louie Brown to score
that track. Yeah, two two of my most vivid memories.
But yeah, it hasn't been great watching the saying that

because of COVID. They were trying to keep the camp
going as well. I remember where the I remember at
the end of that game, cam Smith came into the
sheds and a head of talking to them, he like
gave them a talk to say thank you know, I
think a lot of club I think a lot of
a lot of the captains did that, did that after

each game where they were like thanking them for keeping
the camp you know afloat, but also just you know,
to keep the keep their heads up and stuff. So
that was really good Camon Smith to do that. But
I remember, so that's what I remember that game as well.
But yeah, this game is really concerning because, for example,
I mean, the week before the Storm lost to the Dragons,
and it's been a season where you don't know who's
gonna win, you know, who's going to turn up on

the day, you know, because some teams that you know
are surprising other teams. That's why if you look at
the ladder looks nothing like what the years previously have
looked like. When it comes to the ladder, you know,
you got the you got the panthers and the you
know in the well thirty or the fourteenth place or
something even the probably further down you know, you've got
roosters down there as well. So it looks very different.
And but I think what happened, you know against many

last week with on the weekend, sorry with with storm
was the big the big thing that changed the storm
was Jerome Hughes. He's been out, he gets back in.
He was named on the reserves. But I mean we
all knew that if he was named on the reserves
he was going to come back in. You know, he
was going to come back. And he did, and he
he made a big difference. And I think when you
got him and Cam Monster pairing up doing their thing,

you know, in his kicking game as well, and his
kicking and running game is is is elite.

And you know Deli delianda a middle winner as well,
so you know, so he's just I think he's a Delian.

week made a big difference to the Storm overpowering you know,

mainly by quite a big pop, by quite a big
margin in the end. So that's what I worry about,
is that when they're at full strength, they're very difficult

Kicks that are necessary on the day, you know, play

So I just think they need to improve things like that.

can do to a player. Right, he just looks like
a really ordinary player. But it's something in the way
that Bell me just he sees the strengths and I

trick last week. I thought last season he was so good.
I think he were been injured for the Grand Final
but would have differently played and he was. He just

he looks like one of the greatest wingers of all
time playing for the Storm team. So yeah, we're not
We're going to be able to be wary of that.

in any room. Coach is one of the best, most
sort of physical wingers. In those chips to the corner

to struggle to get it over coats. So yeah, we're
going to try some different air, put some chips through,

put some little up and unders or something like that,
and just yeah, just you know, we saw last week
there's some crazy bounces of the bull. I don't know
if you saw on the uh Reddose game with Mitchell
with those dropouts, and you know, I just it's bounce

try your luck and say so hopefully we'll be able

to do that. But well, if we're gonna wint, that
be very happy. But I'm not for that.

Warriors need to do, like, for example, is there a
specific I mean, the Warrior the Storm are full of
players that you need to you need to stop and
bring down. But is there anyone specifically that you can
that you can point out that the Warriors needed, you know,
need to need to stop that will help sort of
repel their attack a little bit, you know. There they're

playmakers are months Day and Jerome Hughes. But you've got
carry ground and for me it would be Harry Grant.
But who if we can stop him and his rug
speed and you know, because he's the biggest grub, so
you need to stop him. You need to stop him
in his tracks. But who do you think, what do
you think the Warriors need to do? Well, who do
you think they need to stop, you know, to sort
of you know, keep them keep the balven storm at bay.

I think it's that sort of combination on the right
between sort of Hughes Cat and when Pepper Housing comes
in as well, you know, like when they just they
just do stuff that you know, it'll be three on
three and then all of a sudden, the way that
these sort of the way that they play the game,
they'll just they just call you know, to make these
really easy overlaps and that sort of thing, and just

make it, you know, like just making line breaks and
as easy as that. I mean peppen ows and so
both peppers and Hughes are so quick off the off
their face, so it's probably just you're looking towards I'd
say Huge is probably the man there. But what he
can do as far like and how much of a
fall he can make the defenses. Look, that's probably where
i'd be. Yeah, like most can soon about the warrior.

If the storm do get in one of those roles, yeah,
they just you know, they can score three tries and
ten minutes pretty easily. So we just have to be
very aware of that. I think for the I think
for the Warriors, i'd be looking to way they're in.
To be honest, I think he's been you know, I
think the ones that we've had this year, I think
he's been one of what that's not our best and

uh it's been one of the best pokers in the
comp I reckon and just you know, like he had
a bit of a bit of a loll last year.
I don't think he wasn't quite at the level that

we've seen so far, he's been great. So if he

a lot more from Dummy and and Magan, and he's
got a couple of really good running houts around him,

that's I'll be looking for the worries where they need

as the defensively right each in particular sort of based

around Hughes would be where I'd be. I'm just gonna
be a little bit scolarship, which I might see him

So what do I do my weekend? The Warriors just
sort of looked forward to us but last but my

a little bit of the games on the weekend. I
thought the Tigers Broncos game was a really good one. Like,
you know, I know that the Broncos ended up winning
quite comfortable in the end, but it was actually quite

right in it and just to some few kind of
defensive lapses and you know, the Broncos talking apart, but

I thought, you know, for for a big chunk of
the game, was actually quite a good game.

As I said this a period on the game, but
I was that guy I was watching, and yeah, it
was just back and forth, you know, like there was
just heaps of tries and the Tigers a scoring some
really good tries and they were keeping on that. But yeah,
I think I would to be before they did the game.
But like the Broncos scored a few tries to run
away with it, but the squadn't do the game justice.
And that Thursday night game was was an absolute barn Stormers.

But it was six or seven tries in the first
half and then there was just nothing in the second half,
and then the Raiders decided to you know, run it
on the last and it was like Warriors footy of
old watching that that that Raiders try and win the
game as well. So a great game, couple of tries
to him, a couple of tries to bring in the
coreer good, a good good game for some some talented

bet rolls.

And yeah, I'll tell you what I mean, the betting
agencies must be loving this at the moment because it's
so hard to pick who's gonna win at the moment.

the storm losing to the Dragons in the previous round,
and then the Dragons lose to the Eels.

just you never know who's gonna win them on the night,

A bit of a rough weight for you. I got
fired a little bit bitter. I did tip. I tipped
the Raiders and I tipped the Eels, and yeah, you
tipped against the Bulldogs as well, and then we both

about twenty twenty years? And then the Titans as well,
pretty disappointing against the Dolphins. So Titlands are just I'm
really struggling to figure out what's happening there because they
looked really good in the game a few weeks against

a roller coaster of a season, so long way it

into that. It's first of all, Tomato Martin has come
out saying, you know, on air, I think it was

to fulfill his contract this season. I can't remember if
he's signed just to the end of the season or

next season, but that he might be going for an extension.
All I heard was that he was going to fulfill
the contract this year. I don't know's gonnappen nxt she,
but so those they're prettyised squashes of the rumors that
he's you know, he's going to be gone. I think
that immediately those are the rumors going around, so good
to see that happening. But if he doesn't get regular
first grade games. I didn't see him staying any longer
past the season. What do you reckon?

Yeah, so, yeah, he's won a three year deal and
three year so this is his last last year of
his contract. I think he just wants to up some
more hunting and fishing while he can, you know, to
be honest, he's just like play yourself. Well his cap.
He's probably on a pretty good, pretty wicked I imagine.

And yeah he's there as a as a as a
replacement we needed. But he'll be able to just not
feel too guilty about a few a few midweek hunting
trips or fishing trips. Oh yeah, I mean we talk
We talked about it, you know last week, John and
I think we both kind of said, you know, we wouldn't.
I don't think anyone would hold it against him off
if he did leave, but got on seeing out of contract.

So often the days we see players not not see
out contracts. Yeah, you know, contracts, it's just literally these
days to some of these players. So good to see
some intigrity there. And yeah, I mean, if if you
were him, if you've got a good deal going to
I think Lee Liop it's a Kenningham. Yeah, well why

would you not take out He probably makes some cooing
go play over there for you know, two or three seasons.
He's still pretty young. I was, I was surprised. I mean,
he's he's still only twenty nine. So I've talked about
half recently. He got like a cheery Evans Reynolds and
some of these guys Swan Johnson played last year. It's
a lot of these halfs are playing till you know,

mid thirties, so he could he could still have another
three or four years. He's obviously had his house is
health issues in the past. Yes, so far might just
be taking you day as it came. But he's by
all counts, I haven't been watching too much in your Cat,
but by all counts he's carving up in that leak.

of the Can't So maybe yes, joined his footy, and

as I said, he's probably on a pretty good book
as well. So all the beats to what he decides
to do. I do hope we see him and fifth grading,
and I'm sure we will at some point. Knowing the

he's going there after his Japanese contract is over. Japanese
rugby contract is over. He's asking for a media release
no due to family reasons, and that he could be
you know, looking to line up you know something here
in his end. But I mean I didn't say Worries specifically,
just said in New Zealand, so who knows they could
be in rugby here. So but interesting if it actually happens,

I just think that when he was announced, I think
everyone was just taken aback. You know, everyone was like whoa, whoa, whoa.

So just by that reaction itself, it just shows you
how probably how big debt signing was. So in my opinion,
probably James Fisher Harris your fish is probably the biggest,

I can think of right on the top of my

Yeah, he'd be up there. I was also thinking of
when Roger, when Roger came back, you know, when he
went to Union and then he came back, like I remember,
you know that was that was I mean I was
sort of expected but I was just sorry over the
moment about it. Yeah, I reckon Sam Tompkins is probably
the name that comes to mind, and obviously the game
wouldn't play so well, but I feel like, you know,
he was sort of shouted as you know, the savior.

And I don't think he was a horrible player. You know,
he wasn't bad at all, but he just kind of
probably didn't quite live up to what the Warriors fans
were hoping for. And yeah, sort of I think he
was only there for a season and then wasn't he Maybe, Yeah,
it's sort of like he was sort of toouted to
be this huge player, but he's I mean he's gone
back to the UK and you know that was probably

twelve years ago and he's still playing now. You know
at the club that chance might be inside the rumors,
that chance could be insight into it. He's he's there
playing now and and retiring at the end of the year.
So yeah, that probably the name the name that came
to my mind with social shout out to the fashion
and also to sort of when he came back from
from Union. It was just more joy on my behalf.

sort of that play Origin currently want to now play

for some more which they technically can because there are
a Tier two nation in terms of international rugby league
and so they can technically play for uf Wales and
Queensland and play for USF Wales or Queensland. But now
people are saying, you know, there's there's all these should
should that Should that be abolished? Because should they be

allowed to Should it be you know, just just for Australia.
Should it be just something that's sort of just you know,
exclusive to Australians only, You know, if you if you
have to, you have to commit to Australia the Kangaroos,
if you want to play Origin. What are your thoughts,
because I'm hearing a lot of different different thoughts I heard, like,
for example, Nathan Homash saying to me, he loves that,
he loves it, you know, for to grow rugby league
internationally and it will still keep Origin strong you Karen Foran,

Kiwi five eight awesome player, but he grew up.

is I mean it's great for the international game. Or
saying what's happened in the last few years with sort
of Tom and some I even fig you know, it's
been so good for the international game. I mean Australian
Stone's every World Cup. But you know it's a bit

So yeah, it's I mean, it's it's it's good for
the game to have those those guys playing, but you'd
have to just, yea, make sure there is rules around

that was really good Camon Smith to do that. But
I remember, so that's what I remember that game as well.
But yeah, this game is really concerning because, for example,
I mean, the week before the Storm lost to the Dragons,
and it's been a season where you don't know who's
gonna win, you know, who's going to turn up on

the day, you know, because some teams that you know
are surprising other teams. That's why if you look at
the ladder looks nothing like what the years previously have
looked like. When it comes to the ladder, you know,
you got the you got the panthers and the you
know in the well thirty or the fourteenth place or
something even the probably further down you know, you've got
roosters down there as well. So it looks very different.
And but I think what happened, you know against many

last week with on the weekend, sorry with with storm
was the big the big thing that changed the storm
was Jerome Hughes. He's been out, he gets back in.
He was named on the reserves. But I mean we
all knew that if he was named on the reserves
he was going to come back in. You know, he
was going to come back. And he did, and he
he made a big difference. And I think when you
got him and Cam Monster pairing up doing their thing,

you know, in his kicking game as well, and his
kicking and running game is is is elite.

And you know Deli delianda a middle winner as well,

margin in the end. So that's what I worry about,
is that when they're at full strength, they're very difficult
to bring down. But it'll be a good t for

the trot.

to see them put on a good fight and see

This is where we're gonna find out where we're at

kicking the Warriors last last tackle kicking game, you know,

that sort of stuff. They've got to improve those things.
They can't just continue with that those plays, And for me,
it's quite negative. It's quite a negative tactic to do
it every play.

against the Tigers and the Broncos, Locky Galvin, he put
a few grubbers and there's led to try he did one.
He did one against the Warriors as well. It's like,

Kicks that are necessary on the day, you know, play
played to the on a case by case basis of
what's happening. Don't just okay, our technic is to kick

So I just think they need to improve things like that.

good go. But the way there's sort of four packs
playing and the way we're being defended, I think it
defends been pretty good on the whole. There's not perfect.

can just start with the intensity that we sort of

started and there, you know, and the Tiger's game. You know,
we we sort of forced to drop out early from
from a couple of really good kick chases. I know
you talk about the the kicking tap deck and you
know we're not able to get away with a lot
of it, the likes of you know, Coats and at
the back there Grant Anderson's playing like it's just like

it's a clasic example of the Storm and what they
can do to a player. Right, he just looks like
a really ordinary player. But it's something in the way
that Bell me just he sees the strengths and I
mean he's it's pictacular. I mean, he's got a hat
trick last week. I thought last season he was so good.
I think he were been injured for the Grand Final
but would have differently played and he was. He just

he looks like one of the greatest wingers of all
time playing for the Storm team. So yeah, we're not
We're going to be able to be wary of that.
You know, like, you know, you can't give people hows
in any room. Coach is one of the best, most
sort of physical wingers. In those chips to the corner
when we're close to the line, you know, we're going
to struggle to get it over coats. So yeah, we're
going to try some different air, put some chips through,

put some little up and unders or something like that,
and just yeah, just you know, we saw last week
there's some crazy bounces of the bull. I don't know
if you saw on the uh Reddose game with Mitchell
with those dropouts, and you know, I just it's bounce
the ball. You know. It's just you're gonna you're gonna
try your luck and say so hopefully we'll be able

to do that. But well, if we're gonna wint, that
be very happy. But I'm not for that.

Warriors need to do, like, for example, is there a
specific I mean, the Warrior the Storm are full of
players that you need to you need to stop and
bring down. But is there anyone specifically that you can
that you can point out that the Warriors needed, you know,
need to need to stop that will help sort of
repel their attack a little bit, you know. There they're

playmakers are months Day and Jerome Hughes. But you've got
carry ground and for me it would be Harry Grant.
But who if we can stop him and his rug
speed and you know, because he's the biggest grub, so
you need to stop him. You need to stop him
in his tracks. But who do you think, what do
you think the Warriors need to do? Well, who do
you think they need to stop, you know, to sort
of you know, keep them keep the balven storm at bay.

I think it's that sort of combination on the right
between sort of Hughes Cat and when Pepper Housing comes
in as well, you know, like when they just they
just do stuff that you know, it'll be three on
three and then all of a sudden, the way that
these sort of the way that they play the game,
they'll just they just call you know, to make these
really easy overlaps and that sort of thing, and just

make it, you know, like just making line breaks and
as easy as that. I mean peppen ows and so
both peppers and Hughes are so quick off the off
their face, so it's probably just you're looking towards I'd
say Huge is probably the man there. But what he
can do as far like and how much of a
fall he can make the defenses. Look, that's probably where
i'd be. Yeah, like most can soon about the warrior.

If the storm do get in one of those roles, yeah,
they just you know, they can score three tries and
ten minutes pretty easily. So we just have to be
very aware of that. I think for the I think
for the Warriors, i'd be looking to way they're in.
To be honest, I think he's been you know, I
think the ones that we've had this year, I think
he's been one of what that's not our best and

uh it's been one of the best pokers in the
comp I reckon and just you know, like he had
a bit of a bit of a loll last year.
I don't think he wasn't quite at the level that
we'd send him in twenty twenty three. But from what
we've seen so far, he's been great. So if he
can go, you know, any sort of running the ball
a lot more from Dummy and and Magan, and he's
got a couple of really good running houts around him,

and and we saw that and especially that Tigers game
with that try so and he I think he set that.
Mil Quary's won as well, just with a little you know,
a little little sort of dummy and the Dummie Royland
and then a good balls at nol Cory. So yeah,
that's I'll be looking for the worries where they need
to sort of get some front football, but as far
as the defensively right each in particular sort of based

around Hughes would be where I'd be. I'm just gonna
be a little bit scolarship, which I might see him
at the ball.

you can see what he can do. Like you said,
he's got a great kicking game. He's got a great
running game as well. He texts at texts as well.

is probably the key to sort of keeping Melbourne Storm

him just slowly starting to.

back and looking pretty fair. I think he's playing five
eight this week, so dig to see what happens. I'm
happy at the Rabbits.

Late Saturday night game Eels Raiders. It was obviously coming
off their fifth on the season and Raiders coming off
a good win. Raiders are good at home, but they
haven't been grayed away from home. Do you think the
Eels can sneak another another one without lo mix? Nah?

I think Raiders Raiders will take this one.
Speaker 3 (49:19):
Just I can't. I can't abandon my beloved Raiders. So ye,
storm wise, you're going Warriors during plus a year?
Speaker 1 (49:29):
No, I wouldn't go there far. Like I said earlier,
I do think the storm will take it.

But I'll go Warriors. But even though I think the
Storm will win it, am I just going to just
put the faith in the Warriors and just say, yep,

With the Warriors, I'll be more than happy to to

Mentioned before. Tigers are pretty good against the Broncos and
the Knights. I think they they didn't score a point
against the Bulldogs, but they would played with four day
men for most of that game, so they actually did
all right considering and.

And for a big chunk of the time it was
the law for a big chunk of the time. I
watched a lot of the game, and.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
They weren't their bad. They actually were their bad. Mum hmm.
I'd probably give it to the ball sorry.

I guess because as John no way back this time.
He's beg this week, isn't he. I think this only

So yeah, I think it's a good game. I think
I'll stay up for the one might be. I think
it's still six o'clock and eight o'clock games, which is annoying.
But maybe if doubt, saving might be a speech over there,
so maybe the games will come forward to four and suck,
which is always a nice nice treat on a Sunday
afternoon for once. Start savings over.
