Speaker 1 (00:18):
Whoa, it's magic. You know, you better believe it's not so.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Hello, ladies and gentlemen, We're back for another episode of
the Couch Coaches. It's a magical round. We're looking forward
to met it around. Coming up the Warrior. Isn't the
Top four? Coming off another win a grind against the
Newcastle Knights last Friday night for Antic Day but the
winter Wind two points. My name is Richard at the
band when you got to Lenny, I'm joined as always

(00:49):
by my co host johns Are on. John, how are
you doing, bro? You look like you've got a bit
of a different different background there.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
You're doing all right? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah, how good run? I'm good. You know, I don't
have the Warriors memorabilia as I normally do behind me.
I'm at a hotel, but you know what, I'm committed
to the to the to the channel, which is why
I'm still while I'm on to work, visit still on
here recording in my hotel. So yep, a mate, But yeah,
looks it looks a bit different. But yeah, I'm loving.

(01:17):
I'm loving all this and I'm loving the effect of
the Wars are on top of things in the top
four at the moment after eight rounds and brilliant, isn't it?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
You love to say, you to say, I'm just to
show into it because there's a question that moment talking
to a few people about.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Recently and as about you know, the Warriors been the
top four, and I don't I'm not sure another answer
to it. So I'm just traitors. Hear your sort of
what you think? Are the Warriors actually good?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
John? You have to throw me, don't you. Okay, So
I'll give you. I'll give you the non bias answer, okay,
So because if I was biased would be I'll be saying, oh, mate,
they're amazing, amazing, And and to be honest with you,
what I have been impressed with the Warriors the season
is that they've been able to grow and that wins.

(02:02):
As we've all mentioned, and I'm sure I've heard many
people mentioned this as well, that Warriors of used to
you know, previous Warrior sides wouldn't have come away with
the two points from games that they've gone through the
season already. You know, they would have they would have
just lost the momentum and they wouldn't have been hit back,
or the game would be so tight that the other
team would just just get that little edge on them,
you know, in the last ten minutes, the last fifteen minutes,
and and then and then they just they just lose hope.

(02:25):
You know, this is the type of thing. They lose hope.
But we've all seen it. We've all seen that when
it comes to a Warrior's game. But I love the
fact that they they're grinding out the wins here. I
honestly think that there's still a lot to improve on.
Like I mentioned, I mentioned you to you last week
that what I want to see from this Warrior side,
it's just a polished performance, Like it doesn't have to

(02:46):
be perfect. But for example, when we're having set plays,
for example, let's let's see a set play that actually works,
that gets executed really well. But you know, like you know,
you're not we're not seeing much of that, and and
we're excreing some tries, but a lot a lot of
it's come from broken play. A lot of it's you know,
by chances and stuff. But you know you're gonna take

(03:06):
those chances. So I'm not I'm not trying to downgrade
the Warriors form on that. I'm just saying that it
would be nice to see a bit more things happen
where it's a bit more fluent, you know, and polished,
and where they're executing their their set plays a bit more.
But you know what, I'm just loving the fact that,
you know, we're still sitting in a good position, despite
the fact that hasn't been a polished, really big polished

(03:27):
performance yet. But they're getting better, and I do I
can't say this though, is that it's a.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
It was.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
It was a lot better that were Like one of
the things I've been complaining about the season is the
contesting in the air. And I'm not the only one
I know. I know I'm not the only one that
has noticed this. I think every Warrior is true, true
Warriors fan would have seen this as well. But they
did it a bit more. They actually contested some some
something there under up and unders this week against the
Night Sorry on Friday, and they also put in some grubbers,

(03:56):
so they were actually analyzing the situation at the time
and conditions. So they're playing to the conditions and some
of them almost get to tries, but there was some
and they they didn't. The grubbers didn't lead to tries.
But the fact is that they were doing that. They're
able to still pin down the Knights players in their
in goal, which means they got the ball back, which

(04:19):
means they got the ball back. So that's what you
want to see. They're actually you know, attacking more in
that way from their last tackle players. So that was that.
I was happy about that. Like I said, not polished,
but I was really happy to see those those bits
and pieces. And so, you know, in summary, to summarize
your the answer to your question, I say they are
are good six to seven out of ten at the moment.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yeah, it's probably pretty fehicol I think. I think yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
And what you're saying before about grinding out the ones,
I think it's a gone for me is that these
are games which last year, the last two years, three years,
we were lost. It's not like there's been probably apart
from the Manly game, I feel like there hasn't really
been a game where we were walked out really feeling
sort of coming out being like, hey we played well there,
you know. But but yeah, I mean there's an old saying.

(05:05):
And then our our two points is two points and
a lot. The Warriors picked up another two on the weekend,
so and there's there's in the top four, and I think.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
That's just this is what being Arons like this season.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It's such a close comp I generally, I mean generally,
I think what we're saying is that any team can
be any team in this competition and hopefully we continue
to see that because it just provides greatfully, absolutely horrible
for the multies.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
But that's yeah, that's another conversation, you know, so yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, the Warriors did come away twenty six to twelve
win over the Newcastle.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Knights and christ chich and before.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
It wasn't the prettiest of wins, but they did enough
to sort of get it done. Another ugly win that
I've I've run down here and we've got We've got
a lucky with a few of the calls, with not
the calls as such, but just a few, you know,
Knights have not been the ball on a but Schiller
al Chiller on the right wing.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
He had a bit of a bit of a shocker. Yeah,
got balls. Mars was about the same.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
That Knight's back line just not able to sort of
get the most power and the likes of sort of
Marsio as well as when marj really runs the ball,
wells our men to stop.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
But we did well to contain that.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
And it was great to see Jackson Ford get a
double on his fiftieth game for the Warriors. Pompey moved
out to the wind piece called double as well. So
plenty plenty to like about the game. What did you Yeah,
what was your sort of your highlight also the thing
that you do. But your biggest take away from the game,

(06:39):
I'll give you two.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Luke Metcalf actually, you know, showing his authority in the
number seven jersey, but not just being able to steer
and direct the team around the park. He actually showed
his attacking brilliance as well. He picked up six six
Delian points from that game, so he was able to
do he was ever do both. And that's what I've
been wanting to I mean, I mentioned it last week there.

(07:04):
I thought that on one side of this game, which
is the steering, was impacting him so much that you know,
he wasn't able to do play his natural game, attacking game.
But it's slowly I wouldn't say it's one hundred percent there,
but it's slowly getting there where he's actually starting to
back himself steering and attacking at the same time, which
is good, and so that that was good to see
his confidence. His confidence is growing by the minute. So

(07:27):
that's only a good thing for the Worries, especially when
we're winning, you know, especially when we're winning. So that's one. Really,
it's one highlight I was really happy to see. And
another one is Wade Egan. Like, you know, we all
know how brilliant he is. We don't have to go
on and on about how awesome he is. He's just
an amazing player. Does every week, does he what he does,
and does it brilliantly. But the reason why I bring
it up now is because you know, I just the

(07:49):
first things I was the first thing I was thinking
of the game is that surely he's in line for
the Sky's Blues Jumper, you know, or you know, at
least being in the squad at least. So you know,
that's what I was thinking, you know, like he's I
think he's done enough for it, you know, to be
at least added to the squad. So seeing him, he's
scored a try from dummy half doing what Wayegan does.

(08:09):
You know, scores those little tries also there's dummy, those
little those breaks he gets from Dumby half. There's no
look past us. He gets equate all time. Just he
was just doing his thing and yeah, causing a bit
of havocate up the middle there. So yeah, for me,
Wade Egan, I checked before he was on He's on
ten Delian points, so isn't He's in. He's in the
list there, so you know there's no other you know,

(08:31):
the other new Soups Howkers that are in contention. You
would think they would continued, they're not. They're not above
him in any points or so, so I'd have to
say he's up, he's he should be in contention for
a calling. But you know, we'll have to wait and see.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
He's on eleven Whalen points for those. Yeah, I mean,
I agree, man, he's playing. He's playing great.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I think in twenty twenty three when we made the finals,
he was a big reason for that. I think last.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Year when we kind of dropped off, I think we
overlooked the fact that he wasn't playing that well. I
think I personally didn't overlook that, and I kind of
didn't hadn't put to it together there and and and
sort of realized, Okay, I think we've planned a lot
on on Sehn Johnson not being there, but and and
that would have affected Wagons form obviously.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
But yeah, this season he's been he's been great.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
It's been one of the one of the best on
the fields on the every week for the Warriors. As
I said before, he's got living leaving Wally in points already,
so he's he's right up there, and I suspect he
might pick up a few more points than we give
out the points of the game. I suppose the question is, yeah,
for the first to score blue Jumper, like who's who's
the competition? Obviously Robson was there last year. You got

(09:44):
the likes of across our Damian Kok Watson, Yeah, kind
of Watson. I'm going to talk about Brayley. So there's
a few a few other players there, but well, well,
well deserved a shot and I think like obviously Robson
gets chosen for his defensiveness. But on the weekend Egan

(10:07):
was forty three, forty three Teckles zero missus, you know,
and that was there was a big boys in that
and then Knight's pack likes of you know, the Thompson
Boys and does in Brazil. I'll tell you, well, there
was a couple of guys in the Night's team. I
was like, God, I've never even heard of this guy. Like,
there was about three or four guys. I was like,
who are these people? They're just they're not the most Yeah,

(10:31):
the Nights a long season for the Lights fense. But
I think so, Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to be
interesting to see what.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
You'd love to know what Laurie Daily's thinking. He wouldn't don't.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Yet, Yeah, well I would love to know what he's thinking.
I actually sent him a message this afternoon. I don't
know Lori personally in terms of my sports media days,
so I decided to send them a message anyway. And
and the look it was, it was a cheeky message.
It was a bit of a stupid missas because I
know that he was not going to respond, you know,
I mean I know that was basically I at the Hey,

(11:01):
Laurie has a coming mate? You know? Uh waite Egan?
Is he in the conversations for the Hooker Roll this year?
And I actually did say to him, Look, I know
you can't spill out your selections, you know, details, et cetera.
But I don't know if he's in the conversations. Did
I get a response? No, because yeah, I wasn't holding
my breath. I don't think he's seen that. I haven't checked.

(11:22):
I haven't checked.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
I just didn't.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
I wasn't holding my breaths. I don't even check. So
I was either you know, I was either getting a
response or I wasn't. So yeah, I don't know if
it's I don't know if it's because I've been there,
you know, four time sports media for over a year now,
so gone on to the political game at the moment,
political media at the moment. But I don't know to
stand but misses another awkn lift C Star today congratulated me,

(11:47):
he responded back. So I'm still remembered by some players.
I'm still remembered by some players. But so yeah, no,
I I don't know if Laurie Daily will be like Okay,
Brece Robson. No, they won the series and he was
part of that scene. So he's incumbents. I'm gonna pick
him automatically kind of once it was the number fourteen
utility Bad Cup as well, So I hope he's not

(12:07):
going with that mentality of just picking the incumbents, you
know what I mean? Because there was even There was
even talk today for example, I read it. I read
about a story where they were talking about Nathan Cleary
and Dylan needed was that their their roles would be
on the line, because I mean the Panthers, I mean
we all knew that the Panthers, would you know, finally,
you know, there'll be there'll be there will be a

(12:28):
time when it stops, you know, the their their momentum
where they just keep winning would stop. I wouldn't didn't
think it was going to be this bad. It's a
big fourth and grace, isn't it to be last on
the table after eight rounds and only one win? So
I think it's just one win anyway, two wins, two wins. Still,
that's not that's not really Panther like, is it. When

(12:49):
we know that the Panthers that we know, and especially
with Cleary there, Dylan, Edwards, Isaac, you know, Isaiah jo
you know all those guys. So yeah, it's I was
hearing that they know those those roles. There are places
in the spot in the side where were you know,
up for grabs, and if that's the case, you know

(13:09):
you're to look at other other spots as well, for example,
I just think Wagan deserves the spot in the squad
just going on form. I mean, I haven't watched much
of the Cowboys stuff, I admit that, but you know
I haven't. I'ven't been hearing a lot of headlines about
Ris Robson, you know, or Connor Watson or Corrossel you know,
you know, doing doing magical things. So I think he'd
definitely been the top two, you know, hookers.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
And I think with Connor Watson, I think if he's there,
he'd probably be more of a utility.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
I think that, yeah, because he's still offers a little
bit more, you know, like he's better than the halves. Yeah,
a bit a lot, you know, a lot a lot
as well.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
So he I think with Conna Watson, he's been playing great,
and I think that he would be there as a
utility and the and the team like you know, in
the seventeen and then I imagine, yeah, probably out of Robson.
Obviously Corsal has been there and that, and she hasn't
been playing badly, and he offers a lot more at

(14:05):
tap than Robson in particular. But yeah, I think I
think Aien seems to have just and they shine a huge.
If he's a few more sort of chucks up asleep,
it's for sure. That's been been great to see. And
I mentioned Physt. Origin must be about four weeks away now,
so the team probably will be named in next cup.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
No, it's normally, yeah, three weeks before.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
So that's why I'm bringing it up, because it's you know,
like if if, if he's if, this one's going to
be announced, you know, very soon with April twenty eight, sorry,
is when the first Origin game is happening, So that's
only four weeks away basically. So what I'm saying is
is that that Scott is going to be picked soon
surely if you've gone form waiting and has to be

(14:48):
in the mix because he's I mean, I said, I
haven't watched a lot of Reef stopson Conard Watson. I
agree with you, is more of utility and you can
play lots, has a lot of lots. But I think
that he will be ahead of I think Egan would
be a head of cross l and yeah, and I
think he I think is in Magic Round. Funnily enough,

(15:11):
the Warriors are playing the Cowboys in Magic Round, so
there could be you know a bit of a trial
travel between the two to see who comes out on
best and see so you know who can who can
make who can enforce their way into that role? Can
Robinson keeper's role or can wagon wade Egan fight his
way back into the wagon? I don't know what wagon is. Yeah,

(15:32):
I didn't say yeah anyway, Yeah, I just.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Quick if you so well as would you be bringing
bring heally.

Speaker 3 (15:45):
And to start or would you no Heally for sure.
I don't have problems with Lustic, but I just think
last is too much of a defensive player than an attacking.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Player player in the front right.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't understand. I don't understand
that he's not a big body. But he wore the
number ten jersey. It wasn't was it last week or
the week before?

Speaker 2 (16:06):
He wore the number ten a couple of weeks now
I think, yeah, So I don't know, Like it's probably
just a sign of that new Wales Cup. Still there
is a bit of a step down from you know,
from from the raw.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
But shout out to the Warriors twelve Cup team.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
And number one on the on the on the on
the letter and.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
Is she bought as well?

Speaker 1 (16:30):
On the Grand Finals yep, she bought boys in the
Grand final. So the club once again in a very
good spot. So long with that last.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yeah, we'll go back to to the to the Nights game.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I suppose first of all, shout out to the Crossings crowd.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
But like a great atmosphere, I said, which was there
in seeing the game, and I had a few a
few friends message me who went along. She had My
dad took it for his birthday and he said it
was great, love the atmosphere. But yeah, I mean the
comments I heard were just the atmosphere is just so
much better than going to a Rubby Union game, you know.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Ol.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
He really just sort of it out obviously they always
do endit around very well, and there was no exception
all the games. You know, it was great to see
see the sort of acknowledging the day so well. But
but yeah, back to the selection on the field. I
mentioned before you speak shout out to jackson Ford. But

(17:26):
once again, I mean we've talked about it. I felt
it's every week we're talking about this guy, both Jackson
Ford but also Iaron Clark and.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Know the absolutely standing game.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
I thought, it just blows my mind how good he is,
how every week is he's improving. And you know, when
you're thinking about the fact that we supposed to have
little more current dal Harris this year and that he's
just come in and we're not, you know, I'm always
sort of misheaving to all around, but I feel like

(17:56):
he's just sort of slotted there and fill that gap
so well. So yeah, just I mean, once again, big
big shout out to him. I just think what he's
what he's doing, and I'm looking forward to seeing sort
of yeah, just how I've been taking but for this club,
because it's been a great first Steven Steven rounds, that's
for sure.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Yeah, yeah, no, I agree, Mat like Jackson Ford and
what what's what's it? And and sorry Aaron Clark, what's
what's so awesome? Says that they're they're actually they're putting
their performances every week. It's not of like, you know,
one week they're pulling performance in the next week it's bad.
It's a bad game, and another bad game, and then
they pull a good performance in and that's what that's

(18:36):
what's awesome to see that then they're just getting through
and doing doing their job. Because there's there's nothing flashy
about both of them. There's nothing flashy about both of them.
But they're just doing what they need to do. They're
making the hard yards up, they're making the tachers. They're
staying on the field a long time as well. Jackson
Fork can considering that he's praying in front row, he
can stay on the field quite a long time, which
actually is a is a is a is a big

(18:57):
bonus for any side when you know that you've got
to play. They can actually stay on the field as
long as you can, you know, for that long, for
that length of time. And also not just just doesn't
doesn't get weary, he just stays, you know, it's just stalled.
The momentum doesn't change because it keeps on going up
or stays at the same where he's at. So that's
really good, it's really good. And but yeah, nothing flashy

(19:20):
about them, but they're doing their job as well, and
they're doing great. Deserve the spots on the team for sure.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Yeah, and the clubs are in such a great gump.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
We've obviously talked about them a lot, but the by
Marga and also Jacob Labin getting another another game off
the bench. Great to see those three all betting the
run obviously when for Shris is back, you know, let's
one of them's going to be dropping off.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
But that's awesome. They'll be in a good chance to
get a run.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
And I think they're all putting their hands up and
you know, you you're not questioning any of their positions.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Nah and the squad, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Yeah, no, definitely you're right. But what it does, what
I mean, just just on there, you know, bringing up
with HeLa Sema et cetera, and Ja blaving and stuff
like they're the future right as we know, with the
future of the club. But you know, then you've got
the Warriors who were just signed on. You know, Leeds
Rhinos forward Morgan Gannon and he's a second roller. I
can play the lock as well. And I did a video.

(20:14):
If you haven't watched it, you know, go to our
YouTube channel or Facebook, doesn't really matter, you'll see it there.
The short video on Morgan Gannon. Don't know much about him,
so I admitted that in the video, but I did
watch them clips and in the clips, you know, he
looked like a really good player. But you know, like,
you know, can you compare Super League NRL? I don't know,
you know, what I mean. But he's only twenty one
years old and has a history of concussions, which is

(20:35):
always a worrying thing. But you know, he's only twenty
one years old, so maybe you know that was just
a one minor set back. I said that in the video.
But if he comes in, my question to you is
what happens to the other abundance of second rollers that
we have because they've signed them on for three years,
you know, so and he's a young dude. It's not

(20:56):
just someone experienced. He's a young dude. He's clocked up
fifty Super League games. But yeah, what happens to the
likes of Jackie Laban, you know.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Not hardly onto those three end boys, I think, because
if you've got Yourn Clark and obviously Cape Well for
another year on his contract day, so he's.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Getting on with age as well, So I don't know
if he'll stay on much longer. Yeah, I mean, I
like Cape well, I like Cape well, but I think
that with his age and stuff, you know, But he's
been pulling out some performances. You know, he's been making
some good breaks and you scored it one trydown not
against the Nights the previous game begins the Broncos when
he made their break shows he's still got a bit
of guessing them, so yeah, but he is he is

(21:40):
on the older side, so you know, will the Warriors
look to the younger then rather than the older? So
I mean, we've got an abundance of sick and rollers now.
But they did say that Morgan Genhan was he was
touted as the replacement for Dylan Walker, so you know,
will they be looking to play him at Locke because
he has got some ball playing steals, so you know,
who knows what's going to happen. But they've got an
abundance of second roles in your Beck growth back growthward,

(22:02):
you know, they were bundance of at the moment.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Yeah, I mean I suspected him and him and Air
and Clark all ch I sort of la Jazz and
doing Walk with last year when they were both on
the field. But yeah, as I said, I can't imagine
us keeping how seem o and because yeah, those guys
are all which a shame, they're also good bad.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yeah, I mean I'm in the same as you with
with with Morgan Gown literally ever played before.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
But from from everything I read and and all the
sort of comments that on social media from people who
do for the Super League evctually needed a great signnce.
So I'm excited to to see him come come over
and doah, wasn't a picture of you throw shadeer Sam
Tompkins and the Facebook post all today. I think he've
said it before in the podcast, I say again, I
think he got a hard time playing.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
For the you know, the worries.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
He wasn't bad, but I think we all just thought
he was going to be the next Billy Slater or something,
you know, and he curls to him for going back
to Super League.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
He's just just retiring now and he had a very
successful career.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
So yeah, yeah, I mean since you you missed the
other day as well about you know, you think of
the man of these these English hard mean, sort of
sicking rollers thoughts that have come through and made an
impression on the on the camp, like some of those
Burs Burs boys, like all Whitehead John Bateman when he

(23:31):
first came over, you know, like they had an interestant
sort of effect on the camp. So I'm sure that
I'm well hoping that more can get a little bit
the same, But yeah, it'd be interesting to see what happens. Yeah,
and who he gets resigned and with her Yeah, I
mean your Corey is another one, you know, like yeah,
you know if Tom lays you know, Tom Relay's sort

(23:54):
of as well.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
You know, we've got a little bit of extradict in
the front road there.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
I think we're probably are still I mean when Wet
and Tom Ala, it's it's good, but I think we're
seen when when when so Tom Ali has been out
that we are really and we are in the front
row and we've been lucky there. Jackson Ford's it has
been able to step up and be a really good
but still, yeah, I think he's a standing in front row.

(24:22):
I think Andrew was obviously listening to our podcast last week,
so it's good to see him make them move and
put Corey and in the front row. So see what
happens this week. And we are recording on Monday. So
we've got no team for for for the game a year,
but we will briefly talk about it. So but before
we do that, so we we did some wile Eames

(24:44):
quickly n Yeah, just just.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Quickly I realized I did have a nerve with the
old Tompkins thing. When you I saw your comment on
social media, realized that, but it was yeah, I mean,
like you have to admit that. I get if you
were saying that. You know, we thought he's gonna be
the next you know, but he was. He was talented
as to be the Nigs policece later that he was.
He was a lot of pressure was putting on.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
It wasn't bad though, I really don't think he was bad.
Traded him the way Warriors fans trade and we go
into the Nines. Yeah, and it was the year he'd
come and he came over and paid the Nines and
ham Shaw Johnson that that just said, oh it was beautiful,
beautiful to watch, and then they got me very excited
for him. But yeah, he wasn't able to sort of

(25:28):
live up to that potential with the Faithful, that's for sure.
So you Sam Thompkins, I'm sure he listened to the
podcast as well. So yeah, good luckily retirement.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Yeah, nothing personal, Sam, just yeah, I just didn't think
you lived up to your potential and the Warriors. But yeah,
but you've got your you've got your backing from Richard,
so it's all good.

Speaker 1 (25:49):
Your map John Well, I William's time. So we give out.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
We got Delian points just for the Warriors for their
performances of the week. Yeah, three two one rankings. Do
you want to go fir this this week?

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Yeah? Why not mate? So three points looked mtcuff and
for all the reasons I mentioned earlier. You know, he
ran again, ran with authority. You know, I was able
to steer the team around, but also attack as well.
He's just played his natural game and it was just
it was just awesome to see because that's what I
want to see in that and that it worth what

(26:24):
anyone wants to see in that's number seven, right, someone
that can do like an end of Reynolds for example,
Nathan Cleary. Someone that knows how to steer the team
around and manage the game on the field, but also
when they need to, they can step up in attack.
And that's what he did. And I know, like I
said I said earlier, it's not one hundred percent there,
but it's creeping up. It's going it's going up. It's
getting up there. And the more and more he continues

(26:47):
to play it this way, the more and more he's
going to get better. Could probably improve on his kicking
game and things like that. But in terms of goal kicking, sorry,
goalkicking game, they can improve and yeah, maybe it's you know,
his last tackle play kicks can be better. He's got
a he's got a big boot on him, So I mean,
I'm expecting to see more forty twenty from this year
because he's got a big boot on him and he
seems to, you know, get them done at the right time.

(27:09):
But yeah, so Luke Metcalff. He also had the intercept
which I thought, I actually thought he was actually gonna
score that try it easily, but you know, he was
chased down.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
He got a pretty quick yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
But I mean he got a bit roasting. He got
roasted by Waiting And at the end, did you watch
the commentary after We're Waiting was being interviewed by Sean
Johnson et cetera, and Waiting and was saying that I.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Refused to watch those interviews with Sky and bad.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Sean Johnson's a bit He's actually brought a bit of
a bit of a difference there. So I was watching
that one and he was Waiting. Waiting was saying that
Luke Metcalff on the field was saying, oh, it was cramp.
It was because of cramp. I wasn't able to run
the whole field because of cramp, and they were giving
it they were giving you to him on the giving
it to him there, So I mean he did he
did come up with a bit of cramp because I
saw on the field they were actually you know, stretching

(27:59):
as w was. I don't know if it was it
was using an excuse of why he was able to
get to the give to the tri line. But hey,
no he did a good job. So three points for
Metcalf for me. The other reasons I mentioned earlier on
in the podcast and this on this episode, so you
can go back and if you want to hear what
I thought about Luke Mcalff on the day. Wade Egan,
as we just mentioned before, you know, he's he's definitely

(28:19):
up there for the sky Blue selection. I reckon, you know.
If not, then you know those Aussies are just being
really bised towards their own players, especially when Wadinganers actually
is he is a nussy but paying for news in
the Warriors. But I loved Wade Egan just doing what
he does, you know, just doing what he does. His
old classic you know, Dummie half runs the score, try
he scored from dumbie half run on the line. There.

(28:41):
That's what you want to see, you dummy half doing right,
doing things like that. He had a ninety four percent
tackle efficiency rate on the game. So he just he
was just yeah, I just I just think he was
just amazing. It's hard to sometimes come up with words
for waiting him because he does he does this quite often,
you know, his no look passes and he just makes
creates havoc at the middle. And I said that earlier,

(29:03):
so I just don't want to repeat myself. But you're
waiting for two points, and the one point I found
it really hard to give because there's a few people
that you know, you could put their hand up for
that one point. Pompey, jackson Ford both called doubles. He said,
but I'm gonna give it to Pumpy for his two tries.
You also also had as a try assist as well,

(29:26):
when I can't remember who bedded it down, but he
got it around the corner and then ran down, you know,
he went down down the blind side and then passed
it inside to jackson Ford to score his first try.
So I thought Pompey did really well and Pumpy's first
try as well, that offend he's got a good find
on them little goose stemp. Yeah, goose step goose stemp
followed by a good find. So yeah, good on Pompy

(29:48):
for doing that. So I'll give Pompy at one.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Point that's fair. Yeah, you don't.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
You don't see enough finds and later these days, you know,
there's a lot of sort of like the big bullfards.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
But just a good old f fiend.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Yeah, yeah, I mind similar, but I've actually I've given
another player three points. I thought, Yeah, Iaron Clark was
was was my beast on the field again, Yeah, when
we shared out before. But yeah, I just think it's
just it's better a bitter yeah, and just Chris minutes.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
He played sixty four minutes this week.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
One hundred and fifty five meters from superteen carries sixty
three post content meders. You know, you know how much
I love those post content maders. John, I know Black
on one. There's a few boys, a few boys who
have been sort of filling that avoid shout to Chance.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
I think Chance had about eighty on the weekend.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
So yeah, Also we probably haven't been touched too much
on the challenge.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Hears but we talk about last week.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
We talk about last week we did Yeah he got Yeah,
Clark got a triassist in forty five tackles as well,
so took top the tackle count even more than my legan.
So yeah, I just I'm loving one team from him
and just give me some more of that and quite beautifulness.
Two points to Wadigan. Yeah, I mean you kind of

(31:04):
said it all before, but he's looking great. Forty three takeles,
zero misses, so yeah, I mean, if he's not in
the less the check for origin, then Rydell is a
play four.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
He needs to start looking at his Instagram messages.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
Yeah, and yeah, Pumpy Pumpy one point as well for me, Yeah,
it was a ghost the.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Ghosty that got me.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
It was just great to see he did have a
few you know that early era and dropped the ball,
and I think he was lucky that ge guy had
sort of got his game in there and knocked it on.
But on the whole I thought, yeah, he was great,
and especially playing out of position as well, he sort
of just gave us a bit more confidence that you know,
and and a few more he makes. What's going to

(31:46):
happen when some of these these boys come back, So
I didn't want to ask you that, John. Obviously we've
got probably and then back five. We've probably got about
seven or eight players who have played there this season.
Obviously did w Z Actually yes, both injured at the moment,
they were probably the fifth choice of warners. But yeah,

(32:08):
who have you Once everyone's foot you know someone's people
that you know, good.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Players are going to be missing out.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
So if you who have you got sludden into those
five spots, we'll say it seven spots for good music
because I know you've probably got to. You've got some
hot takes on the halfs as well, and I want
to see if it's changed this last week.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Yeah, I had a bit of a think about this
because are we are we? Are we doing? This? Isn't
like what we want to see or what do we
think Webster is going to do? Because there are two
different things, you know.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
I mean, oh, I want I want to know what
you want.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
To say, okay, next, cause it changes what my my
mind up being, changes everything. I actually initially wrote it
down as how webstill would.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
It you can give you can give me that now
and then and then when I say mine, you can
you can think about it.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Okay, look, okay, so I'll give you I'll give you
my injury Webster backline, which is full back ants. That's that's,
that's that's not going to change. I think once RTS
is back, I think he'll he'll go straight back. And
I don't think I have I don't have a feeling
that he won't be going back to to you so
I was cut for you know, for a few games.

(33:14):
I think he'll just go straight back into it. I
think he's that that good and two experience too to
be able to know he knows what he's doing, so
he can go straight back in there. Same with d
w Z. I think he'll go straight back to the
wing as well. I think Barry will keep a spot
at center. And also this is the tricky one where
I think where it comes to from my selection as well.
But also I think for Websters, where do you have

(33:35):
Leatoa or Pompey at center? You know, who do you here?
Do you keep them there? Because they're both I mean,
they've both been doing their jobs were pretty well. And
I think but because Berry is like you know, obviously
a favorite center, you know, he's just going to have
his role. So I think one of the center roles
is between Leatore and Pompey. That's that's what I believe
that that's the problem. That's the headache Webster will have
when R T S and d w Z come back

(33:58):
the halves. As all think he'll stick with Harris dea
Vida and Luke Metcalf because I just think that's what
he's doing. You know, town of Boyd was on was
on the bench, he was eighteenth man for the game
against the Knights. And I would really, really so if
I give you my quick you know, back line because
the tour, Pickie is not even in the frame when
I say with this is one, so that that's the

(34:20):
hard one. And I would have two Picky still at
fullback Roger and one wing, d w Z on, one
wing Berry, one center in Chance and another center. That's
what I would do. Sounds pretty rough on the tour
and pomp because then they're not they're not. They're actually
playing really well, not doing bad things. So but that's

(34:41):
that's just my personal preference. That's that's why it's sometimes
it's good to have these headaches. You know, when you've
got players that are in form and you know you
don't know who to select, but yeah, and then my
my halves peering preference would be Luke Metcalf and Tyner Boyd.
I'm not sure. I'm not sure how you worked that,
because they're both want they both want to play halfpic.
But I just think that Harris Devida would be more use, use,

(35:05):
more worthy as a fourteen is utility rather than five eight.
I'm not saying Harris Savina is playing bad everything. I'm
not not trying to say that he needs to be axed.
That's not what I'm trying to say. I just think
Tanner Boy is better. Is that in the halves. That's
what I'm just genuinely saying. But and I think if
you look at Tanda Boy and you supper cant of
the way he's been playing, it's it's amazing what he's doing.

(35:26):
And because he's got in a roll experience, I'm pretty
sure he'll be able to transfer that onto the first
grade team without a problem. So yeah, that's my that's
my take, mate. What about your what about you?

Speaker 1 (35:37):
Cool? Okay? Cool?

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yeah, I think I think yeah, when the weeps team,
the only change that I've been making would be I
don't think that Rocker Berry will be there. I think
other two are playing be there. I don't think Rocky
Berry ha said a few chances this year. It just
hasn't looked as good as sort of what we know
he can he's been in the previous years. And on

(36:00):
the way that and playing, I think I'd be putting
both of them ahead of period and being yeah, obviously
he won't be changing the half period I mean, I
mean something to change the half period at the moment.

Speaker 1 (36:14):
I really do think that because well.

Speaker 2 (36:17):
In games, they're still figuring out and we are seven
games into it, but well five and two, the comps
very open if we start sort of listening a few
games and there will be some some Christians questions. But
have people like that my personal preference. Yeah, well, but
I also had tame the back back to the present.

(36:38):
Actually they just come straight back. And they're both too
good and to experience not too and I've got challenges
and t and the and the and the and the
Ciners and yeah, half, I'll just keep them as they
are at the moment, because I think they're built building
a relationship.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
I think, you know, like.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
Harris to be, I had some good you know, I
think you had two there's two tries that sort of
came from as cats as those problems sort of close
to the line which was you took before about we
were actually contesting them. He was obviously just getting the
right height and in the right distance on it. So yeah, yeah, yeah,
it's a good that's a good position to be in.
But it's just hard to see how we're going.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
To keep all those tips. We've got a ton of boys.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Marlon even the likes a sort of cossie and there's
some other you know, I won't see if it's good
players mentioning out that US captain don't.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Well, that's the thing about having a you know, a
squad full of stars and playing well and form, because
eventually it may it may sound good to have, you know,
these kind of soligion headaches, you know, in front of you.
But then the players themselves start to worry about game time,
and then when offers come along, because because of the
fact that they're playing well in office will come it

(37:59):
makes them really question, I want to should I be
staying here at to worry? Should go somewhere where I
get the opportunity to play. Then that's where I'm worried.
About some players, you know, like to a picky, for example,
with Chance, you know, signing on for an extra two years,
that's that's That's what I'm worried about, is to a pickie,
What what happens to tow a pickie? You know, does
does because Chance has signed on for another two years,
is webs are going to say no, that Number one jew,

(38:21):
that Number one's juicy assists for the next two years.
Is he has He already come out and said he
hasn't said that publicly, but what is that what he's thinking?
Because if he is, if I was too a picky,
I wouldn't want to be there. I wouldn't want to
be there.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
I mean, there's obviously a plan to a picky is
signed for another the next year. So yeah, I mean
he's obviously aware of that. But yeah, I mean, Chances
playing right, he's staying awesome this season.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
You know, he's been really really good.

Speaker 2 (38:50):
I just think, yeah, for me, it's you want to
get these players on the field, and I just, yeah,
I don't want to to a pickie. And and Charge
does offer a extra versatility, is obviously standards creator on
the wing. He's doing a fine job on the wing.
But he's just he just doesn't quite have the height
these days, you know, Like I mean, you.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Know, a couple of weeks ago it was Coats.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Yeah, yeah, he's up against Coats and it's you know,
look at some of those wingers in the calm. He's
just going to get you know, they're just going to
notice that I mentioned having Dom young. You know, you
just be kicking to that, You be kicking to that
corner every every time, wouldn't it, Because.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Yeah, but that's the reality of visits so much. That's
the reality though, isn't It's like too picky is is
an amazing player and not we don't just know it.
Not the Warriors fans doesn't know it. The whole inner
rol knows it. He's an amazing player. So you know,
if people can say, for example, they hear me saying
two big will go, they don't say, they don't say
that he's gonna stay. But you don't realize that when

(39:49):
you're a professional player, you want to be out in
the field, and if you're not getting the opportunities to
stay in the field because someone else is taking your spot,
and while at the same time you're still playing really
well and you're really good on. Eventually you're going to say, okay,
can I is there somewhere else I can go where
actually I will get a chance, an opportunity to play
and cement my my, you know, submit my spot in

(40:10):
the side is fullback and is the first time sorry
not first time, the first grade, you know, starting fullback
because then I'm sure there are other clubs that would
love to have him on, you know sort of thing.
So as a professional player, those are the thoughts that
you will, you know, they will go through your head,
even if you love the club as much. You know,
there's two Pigi does with the Warriors. He loves the Warriors,
but you know, if the opportunities aren't coming, there's going

(40:33):
to come a time and you're like, okay, well, let's
go back to the drawing board, you know, let's go
back to the drawing board and see see if they're
any offers up there and getting probably tell his agent
is there anyone else that wants me? And just to
see which I'm sure that would happen. So I'm really
worried about losing to a pickie if if chance has
already been is going to hold on that, you know,

(40:53):
on that full back spot.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, must be. I'm sure. I know there's
a lot of other Wawriors fans and the same boat.

Speaker 2 (41:00):
But also yeah, it's great to have these guys obviously
wanted to play for the Warriors.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
Everyone sort of resigning, So that's great and good game.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
This weekend, it's the Cowboys for major Ground, the scene
of one of the great Warriors upsets where they took
down the Panthers last year and without a heap of
the heap of the first graders, you know, the top team.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
So we're still a few short. You know, we're still
short of.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
Utch, of Hic, Dellen and Harris in particular, So there's
three guys who dow back in the next probably three
or four weeks, I think. So we're great to help
him are back. But we're obviously recording on a Monday.
We don't know the team yet. But if you're gonna
have any have you take a stay up at the dark,
do you have any you know, do you have any

(41:50):
shock selections that you think we're going to do or
do you think your duty's done for the last three season?

Speaker 1 (41:55):
Just pick the team he's picked the week before.

Speaker 3 (42:02):
So the bench last week was Jacob Laban, jackson Ford,
who else? And it wasn't bunty, was it? It wasn't
it was bunty. Yeah, Okay. The reason why I say

(42:22):
it was a bunty because they didn't really see much of.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
Them about fifteen minutes.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
Yeah, and you know, yeah, there's a part of me
that we would love to see Sam Healy coming to
the site's you know, he's a he's actually a bigger,
bigger body, you know, for someone that normally plays Dami half,
he's actually quite a bigger body. I just think he

(42:48):
needs a shot, to be honest. And I think if
you've got jackson Ford there and Marata there as well,
you know, if he plays propping in which I think
there should be, there should be a should be the
case because when this James Fisher heroes keep back, not
for a while, it's not for a while.

Speaker 1 (43:05):
I think he's Brandon Levan. So yeah, not in this way.
So yeah, two or three games out.

Speaker 3 (43:12):
Yeah, I'd still be sticking with, you know, the new
cord in the front row, jackson Ford to come off
as the you know is the you know, is the
relief front rower. When when one of them comes off
Volmargo keep him in there as well for that reason
as well. And Healey and probably Jackie Laban as well,
keep keeping keeping him in there. But I think if

(43:34):
you're not going to be using your your other players
like Bunty, you know, for only fifteen minutes, there's no
harm in atually keeping putting Sam Heley in there as well.
You probably give Waiting in a bit of a risk
as well. If they're doing well, give waiting in a
bit of a rist as well. That's what they did
a couple of games ago. Give him a bit of
a risk because you know they're worried about head knocks
and stuff. But yeah, things that but yeah, same same

(43:56):
herely don't. I don't see it happening, But that's what
I would like to see. That's what I'm like to see.

Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yeah, I mean, I suspect it will just be the
same team, but if it was a change yet, I
wouldn't mind seeing Sam Healy in there.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
I think that back line kind of you know, it's
we're going to.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
Do without without the likes of to us a chic
and yet down there, so we'll take take that back five.
They're all playing pretty good. I sort of bitching before,
like I do want to, I think Rocker beers. I
feel like he's been a little bit underwhelming the last
few weeks he's here. Chance obviously it's been a very

(44:34):
would have been half season from because it was injured,
came back for injured again and he has suspension, so
it's just struggling to get that consistency. But they obviously
rate him, you know, like that, he's obviously right up
there and when everyone is foot, I think he'd be
right up there with what Webster wants.

Speaker 1 (44:51):
But yeah, just with the way that lan to her
and be a player that that should see what happens there.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
But yeah, I'm going to say I'm going to pick
my player to watch this way, it's going to be
rock I think that I it would be a much
much more sort of solid performance from even last week. Defensively,
he wasn't sort of his best. I think he had
reformist tackles, which is I'm like him, So he's my
my man to watch. Have you got a player to

(45:16):
watch for us? To speak against the Cowboys and met around.

Speaker 3 (45:21):
My eyes will be glued on waiting hegan to see
how he goes against Reings Robson and and I mean
that because I really would love to see him, you know,
become the next Warrior's Origin player. You know, we hit
you know, thankfully. You know, we didn't see it. We
didn't really see it when it comes to Warriors sides,
you know, for many years now we have two players
you know that played for both sides in Origin, like

(45:41):
you know, Cook Kate well wad to Queensland, which by
net for New South Wales. And I'd love to see
Waity Egan get a shot because he's always been in
the conversations, but he never never really gets never really
you know, he's always like maybe third or fourth off
the rank. But I think this time, you know, he's
he's definitely proved that he's up there. I reckon he's
in the top two. And I love this. Yeah, I

(46:03):
think my eyes will be on sorry Wade Egan and
Reese Robson to see how they go because I think,
you know, I think Laurie Daily, who should be who
should be responding to my message? I think he I
think he will have his eyes on this game, have
a I think Laurie Daily will have a big fix
on this game because he will want to see how
they go against each other. I should think that I

(46:23):
think this will be the case because he knows that
there's potentially two best possibilities for Hooker are playing against
each other. So I think he will have a big, big,
you know, view on this game as well. So yeah,
keep your eyes on, keep your eyes on Wade Egan
and Ree Robson for this game.

Speaker 2 (46:41):
And that's the way that the games have been officiated
at the moment. Who's your money on to be the
first to get end of the bend?

Speaker 3 (46:51):
Well, did you hear the news that they're they're actually
the inter relev if you know, have made they're very
you know, they've gone already and made some changes already
to the to the bunker.

Speaker 1 (47:00):
Have you if you hear the news, Oh, like I
saw something about it. I don't know. I was.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
I'm not even gonna trying to put my daughter in sleep.
She's just taking ages and I don't have time to
body get into this, right.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
Well, yeah, fair enough. Well basically just to give you,
just to give you a quick summaries that then awhere,
I've come out after what sixteen or eighteen symboms in
round eight alone, which is a bloody a lot of symbols. Now,
the Bunker are not allowed to go back eight plays,
you know, eight or so plays one, you know, to

(47:33):
go look at it, to look at to look at
an incident in corepenality or symbol. They're not allowed to
do that anymore. Apparently, they're only allowed to look back
if it's something really really significant, like if it's really
ugly and everyone's missed it. But if it's if it's
something that the riffrees missed, touch judges are missed, and
the players have really they just keep cracking on with
the game. The bunker is not. The banker apparently is

(47:54):
not allowed, but intervene apparently, you know, but the Bunker is.
It's just a yeah, yeah, I get annoyed with the
Bunker because you especially when you hear them talking and
giving the giving the reasons why they're not giving a
trial for this. It just sounds so stupid. Some of
the some of the reasoning is just a stupid But okay,

(48:15):
haven't answered the question. Sorry, sometimes I yet too much. Yeah,
who I think we've been the bin. I think it'll
be one of our forwards. I can't say who.

Speaker 1 (48:29):
I just don't know.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
I'll just get to the new Accordia again. I'm just saying,
you according because he's got something interview.

Speaker 2 (48:35):
When you against the second meddle of the game, you know,
it's not a good luck. So I wasn't in them,
but I'll I'll branch out and I'll go with.

Speaker 1 (48:47):
Legion. Yeah maybe Matty much bann it.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
It's still it's still good attle bit of a mangol
the you know, like you know, old club, old club,
like sweet. But I remember what even black as a newcast,
so he was an absolute grab. So there's something still
on the mere even though he's kept it. I think, yeah,
he's my he's my pack to to spend some time
on the on the there is anything else. It's absolute

(49:17):
really hard to sort of break it down, break it
down too much with no change to talk about. But yeah,
I think that we'll probably we'll go that tepisode. But
it was there anything actually wanted to sort of pointing
out in that game?

Speaker 3 (49:30):
Nah, I mean, I'm just looking at the ladder right now,
as I was looking at it right now, is that
the Cowboys are on six position on ten points, and
they're on negative ten the points differential. We're on fourth.
We're in fourth position and twelve points, which is awesome,
but we're on needed to four points and you know,
to be honest, when you're in the top four, you
shouldn't really be have a negative deficit, really, you know.

(49:52):
That's That's so I'd like this, if I'm going to
say something, I'd love to see the Warriors do well
break up the points that they did last week, but
not just lead in some easy tries like they did.
Because I thought we were going to have a positive
points differential in this game against the Knights, but then
they lived in that easy to try at the end
and he ended up being you know, like yeah, and
you know it's the same against the Broncos. We were

(50:14):
way ahead of them, you know, because of our miskicks.
We let them in the game. We keep them in
the game with our miss kicks in. I know, kicks
are not easy. You can't always get them. I'm just
saying there was like a good there was a good
eight miss kicks there, which is I mean, it's sorry,
four miss kicks there, which would have mounted up to
eight points, which would have given us a big, big
buff What if we had lost their game. The headlines,
like you said in the time, we recorded, this would

(50:35):
have been a different headline about us losing that. So
I would love to see the Warriors just play some
really attacking football and the actually get their points differential
into the positives rather than the negatives, because you shouldn't
really be in the top four with the need of
different a negative points differential, but they're there. It's happening,
so let's just see it go up.

Speaker 2 (50:53):
Yeah yeah, well it's obviously because the two losses have
had have been quite big and mean. The SQUARERS team
aparts from on the weekend against the Nights, so they're
not a plas team. You know that they grind out
pretty pretty close ones and all the all the other
ones this season have been pretty close.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
I think the mainly one was around it.

Speaker 2 (51:12):
Wasn't it may have been over two points, but yeah,
afters okay, it's just a cook ground, chaps and cold.
And for the week the fifth up, we've got Shacks,
Sharks and Eels. Sharks obviously coming off heartbreaking loss to
the Tigers.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Yeah yeah, the Sharks.

Speaker 2 (51:29):
The figure out I thought the Warriors about taking a
drop goal the Sharks. That was embarrassing. Come up here
into the Eels, who have hited by and obviously came
off their fifth one, the fifth one the season before
the fifth one the season.

Speaker 1 (51:43):
It was yeah, yeah, there you go.

Speaker 3 (51:47):
Uh, I still think the Sharks will bounce back. I
mean it was that he was obviously looking a lot
better with what's Moses there and you know, and what's
the name Dylan Brown, you know as his partner. Then
you know, Dylan and Dylan Walker has made a big
difference since he's coming to the eel side. He's doing

(52:10):
what he did at the Warrior. He's doing for the
Eels what he did at the Warriors, and that was
always good. So it's a hard one because I actually
think the Sharks will come back, but don't don't know,
I want to rule out the Eels in there, because
theyre actually saying to pick up the former bit. You know,
it wasn't like there at the start. But it's funny
when you inject someone like Mitchell Moses in there, Dylan
Brown and Dylan Walker, things changed here.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
So yeah, yeah, absolutely most I'm going to shucks as well.

Speaker 2 (52:34):
Yeah, mixed up Rosters and Dolphins on Friday Night Roasters
coming off one eats the Dragons and Dolphins coming off
the supported that they were up twenty eight teen in
the last forty to twenty eight against the Reds. Yeah,
so yeah, after they put forty consecutive points on the

(52:58):
Storm the weight before. Dolphins are a hard team to
sort of pack. But the Roosters similarly seem to play
the game and then a bad game, So maybe this
would be a bad game for them. And I'm gonna
go to Dolphins in this one, and and and Britsburane
as well.

Speaker 3 (53:15):
That's a tricky one. That's that's a hard one to pick,
that one, isn't it. I was gonna go all the
Roosters just to just to go against you for this one.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
Heah, sweet sweet Yeah, Rabbitos Nights up next. The night's
look bad.

Speaker 2 (53:29):
The pretty much unbackable, I reckon, so I'm quite able
to go to Rabbits.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
Yes, same, just basically on what you just said. It's
just it's hard to see them winning, you know.

Speaker 2 (53:38):
I mean, yeah, then Belly into the Storm obviously lost,
but they put up a flight. So yeah, next up,
how beloved Warriors are playing. I think it's the seventh
any game on Saturday nights and it's not too dead.
We'll get to the Cowboys, and I have not been

(53:59):
a pitch with the Cowboys ed all this year. I
think it'll be a type one. But the Worriors, I'm
I'm picking the Worriors to get this one.

Speaker 3 (54:07):
Yeah, me too. Who did they play on the weekend.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
To play the Titans and score fifty points?

Speaker 3 (54:14):
That's right. But the thing is is that when I
when I was when I was watching, I watched a
bit of that game, and when I when I was watching,
the Titans were well a hit, well ahead, and then
they came When I saw the scores, how did they happen?
How did that happen? So?

Speaker 2 (54:28):
I mean, yeah, yeah, they're a team who in the
uni of a role, they can score a lot of points.
But I feel like defensively we've been pretty good this
year and I don't think they're going to be doing
it to us.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
So yeah, I'm picking like a twenty to eighteen win
to the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
Nice. That's a that's it's a quick fear fear prediction there.
If you're if you if you're a gambler, you know
you know you can thank Richard later scored. Yeah you
can thank Richard later. But uh you now, I'll had
one who are who going with again?

Speaker 1 (55:04):
Why again?

Speaker 3 (55:08):
Yeah, so I'm obviously going worries. I'm just trying to
think of a school as well, just to see as
close to yours. H I'll just say one one will
be one between one to six, one to six Yeah, Warriors, yes.

Speaker 1 (55:25):
Pretty, Tigans and Dragons up mate.

Speaker 2 (55:28):
Tiger's coming off there, but when are the Sharks and
gold points today? And the Dragon's year got smuked by
the Roosters. Dragons and entertainment seemed to be sort of
on off on off, on off.

Speaker 1 (55:40):
Yeah, but I'll think Tigers shouldn't drop this one. I'll
go to Tigers.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
Now, You're absolutely right. Dragons are on and off. They've
dragged up some really good wins against some really good teams,
but then all of a sudden, I don't know where
against a teen that you would think that they're punished
considering the way they played the week before. It doesn't help.
And I'll go with the Tigers as well. I mean,
apparently I didn't watch the game, but apparently Lucky Galvin

(56:09):
had made a big difference coming back into the side.
It was interesting. I was watching some of the highlights
just to see when they score tryes how are they all,
you know, with all the players Wort have just come
together and they were, you know, just congratulating each other.
I wanted to see how Locky going with all that.
He came in and it was at and all that.
So yeah, I don't know if it would have been
an awkward, awkward dressing room.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
They would have a dress schep throughout the week and
ye have been like, you know, we've all got the
same goal. So it's good to see. Yeah, hopefully he's
him at the time and they'll give him a hard time.
Three more games quickly go through. Titland's Bulldogs.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
Got fifty scored on them against the Drakes, so I'm
happy the bit against him and take the Bulldogs to
bounce back after their first loss of seven.

Speaker 3 (56:58):
Yeah for me as well, despite the fact they'll be
out with three of the key players through suspension.

Speaker 1 (57:04):
Suspension, It's true, Yeah, Curen, that was that game was ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
Yeah, I don't know if you watched, my machine has
said about seventeen times, I'm just shocked. I'm just shocked
every time they drop the ball or try I'm just shocked.
I was shocked as well.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
McKey. If you're listening.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
Panthers broncoes up next, speaking of the Bronx playing at Suncork,
but of course it's it's officially in away game. There's
only the Broncos could get away and ye yeah, I
mean on the Panthers two wins the season.

Speaker 3 (57:43):
I'm giving it the Benthers. Oh yeah, yeah, they're gonna
bounce spec. They're gonna bounce Peck in this one. And
the reason why I say that is because now that
it's in the media that you know, the likes of
Delany was in clearly the origin spots are on the line.
They're gonna put them provement, proved performance, knowing that, and
they're going to bounce back because of that. I'm thinking

(58:04):
it's predicting.

Speaker 1 (58:06):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
I will go to Broncos just because they're at home
and when they're not in great but I'd be stoped
to see it. Yeah, and the Storm Raiders to finish off.
Storm Raiders should be a great game.

Speaker 1 (58:20):
Raiders.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
Yeah, not a great first half, but they bounce back
and put on thirty points and six and a half,
so they show they can force some points. Could be
quite a high scoring game because is two two two
electric sort of badlines.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
The Raiders, who are my.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
Beloved sicking team and I picked them as the wooden
spoon they're doing will be great commit third, So I'll
put the in for for an upset.

Speaker 3 (58:47):
Yeah, I'll go with the storm. I'll take the storm.

Speaker 1 (58:50):
Yeah, we're on the opposite sides of a couple of them.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
Just the way.

Speaker 2 (58:53):
Update, I got five last week, you've got three, and
now I've extended my lead to four points.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
You're on thirty five.

Speaker 3 (58:59):
So well that is that is that that is the
twenty twenty five in our premiership for you?

Speaker 1 (59:04):
Right? Yeah, sure, I'm not.

Speaker 3 (59:06):
I'm sure I'm not the only one that It just
just is just you know, flopping if some of the
some of the tips here, so yeah, well.

Speaker 2 (59:13):
Most of the most have got sex in a wait. Yeah,
I've got one super twice I think, but yeah, lots
of three, four and five apart from the yeah, exactly,
it's been one of those seasons, sweet yep. But it's
