Inner Sanctum was a hugely popular Old Time Radio series created by producer Himan Brown. It was based on the popular Inner Sanctum mystery series of books. It aired from January 7, 1941, to October 5, 1952. Inner Sanctum featured tales of mystery, horror and suspense, with a mix of humor. That humor was what made Inner Sanctum different from similar horror and mystery series like Suspense, or The Whistler aired during the golden age of radio. Each episode started with the sound of a creaking door, some creepy organ music, followed by the opening narration. It's been said that the listening to the show was like celebrating Halloween every week. Many established stars played roles or were guest stars in the series, including Peter Lorre, Helen Hayes, Mary Astor, Frank Sinatra, Bela Lugosi, Orson Welles and many more. Of the several hundred episodes of Inner Sanctum that aired, only about 150 survived.

All right, friends, sit back and collapse, I mean relaxed.
Our story is about to begin. I just try to
remember that none of the things you hear in our
stories can happen to you more than once. Ready enow,
then turn the lights down low as we hear Danny.

Manton tell us a strange story. I expected any second.
I was going to hear a knock on the door.
I know if I opened a chigger would come in
and kill baby and kill me.

he stayed in that crummy hotel for five days, afraid
to go out because maybe somebody would see us and
tell Chigger.

They're even booking act in the palace again. We'll make dough, Danny.

Baby was in the morgue, listed his jump to fell
from Queen's penthouse. Queen, he was found by the cops
in the street where Danny left her.

The immediate cause of his death was much unknown, the
same with Danny. Maybe he was half cracked, maybe he
is talking about it suggested to my mind. But I'll
never forget the sound of that rapping coming from that
empty room.

Of course, Danny wasn't really mad. Those things happen to
anyone who's a little off the beam and who isn't.
By the way, if you ever tried to cycle of
a conversation with a lovely ghost, don't get sorry. If
