Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Cross Talk nine one one, where real life
meets real solutions. I'm Pastor Laurie, and here we don't
shy away from the hard questions. We face life's emergencies
with faith, truth, and the power of God's Word. Let's
get started. So today I want to talk about what
would Jesus do. If Jesus walked the streets of our

(00:24):
cities right now, his actions would probably thunder louder than
any politician's promises, louder than any preacher's watered down sermon,
and louder than the noise of this broken world. If
he saw a homeless man in a wheelchair, hungry and
begging for food, Jesus would not cross to the other side.

(00:47):
He would stop. He would feed him, he would heal him.
He would look him in the eye and say, you
are not forgotten, you are loved, You are mine. For
the word says for. I was hungry and you gave
me something to eat. I was thirsty and you gave
me something to drink. I was a stranger and you

(01:08):
invited me in Matthew twenty five, verse thirty five. If
he saw a woman shivering on the cold sidewalks of
our cities with no blanket, no shelter, no warmth. Jesus
would not shake his head and walk away. He would
cover her with his cloak. He would lift her up

(01:29):
and remind the world that foxes have holes and birds
of the air have nests, but the son of man
has no place to lay his head. Luke, chapter nine,
verse fifty eight. He would condemn the comfort of those
who close their doors while the poor freeze outside. And

(01:50):
if Jesus stood before the crooked politicians of this world,
the ones who steal from their people, who lie with
smooth tongues while robbing the poor, who line their pockets
while children starve, he would not flatter them. He would
not negotiate with them. He would call them what they are,

(02:13):
whitewashed tombs full of hypocrisy and wickedness. Matthew Chapter twenty three,
Verses twenty seven through twenty eight. He would flip their
tables and tear down their idols, and declare, what does
it profit a man to gain the whole world yet
forfeit his own soul? Mark Chapter eight, verse thirty six.

(02:37):
Jesus would not stand idle. He would not tolerate corruption,
He would not ignore the broken, he would act, He
would love, and he would judge and make no mistake.
He still does today. You've been listening to Crosstalk nine
