Speaker 1 (00:10):
Hello everyone, and welcome to another episode of Cruising with Ka.
I'm Jeff, and today we have Josh and Emily fresh

(00:32):
from coming off of the Blood and Guts show, so
we wanted to bring him in and find out about
that experience because you know, a lot of times they
don't really get to get as much experience out there
with the live shows, so we always want to get
them on the show and get what their experiences were.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
So welcome to the show, guys.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Thank you, thanks for having us. Jeff appreciate it. Also
appreciate having less responsibility of this one.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah, I love that right.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Thank you keep for having us on.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
It's not always we get to talk about our experiences, fresh.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Freshly squeezed experiences exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Well, and that's why we wanted to bring you on
today because we know a lot of times you guys
like to hear everybody else's and get them on there,
so we wanted to do the same in return. So
so let's go start off right away with the women's
Blood and Guts match. So Emily, let's go ahead and
start with you just maybe some of your takes and
some of maybe your best spots, you know, some things

(01:29):
like that.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
So yeah, I'll try not to go too far into it,
so I don't ruin anything that you want to say.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
As well, I think that.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
It really made sense for Sky and Willow to start
it off. I have a full minute video of Willow
just slamming Sky with a trash can cover. It was
so loud everything about it, and I don't know what
was loud or the trash can cover or my.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Woos in my videos. That's never embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Enough, not embarrassing at all.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
But I also enjoy that we had Harley coming out
second because that really or third, that really put a
lot of tenacity into it. Because Harley came in, she
was guns blazing. It was perfect. And then you've got
Julia who came in and also like they all just
like brought it every time someone came in. I know,

(02:27):
like the standard, but it was the way the crowd
was behind each and every one of them for every time,
like they pinned somebody down, Like everything that they were
doing just was perfect.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I was really proud of what they brought to.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
The ring or rings and hearing justin announcing the rules
in just the very beginning of it all, it just goosebumps.
Everything about it. Them lowering the cage. It was really special.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
No, I got to agree with Emily. The second they
said time for the first ever women's Blood and Guts,
that place erupted and they turned the red lights on
the cages lowering, and they're going over. And this is
what I like about aw Blood and Guts. It's more
traditional war games because in war games you can only
do submit or surrender. There's no pinfall stipulation. There's not
even a there's supposed to be a roof too, it's

(03:17):
not supposed to open. So I like that. In North Carolina,
in the South where war games became famous, we're doing
the first ever woman So I think you kind of
felt people in the crowd who maybe have seen because
a guy in front of us said he used to
go to Georgia all the time and see at the
old auditorium and see the old war games with Dusty
and Flow, and I couldn't imagine that. I was just

(03:38):
so happy to see. And like you said, you know,
you start off, we knew the triangle badness was coming in,
you know, within the first four people. So to see
Harley and Willow and the triangle of madness, and I
thought Statlander was going to come in later than she did.
But I love that. But you mentioned spot Sea Lights first,
sky Blue in the first five minutes getting busted open
because she gets launched into the side of the cage.

(04:01):
Then when Tecla comes in running rockshot, I think that
was my favorite little surprise moments. She comes in, jumps
in the trambucle goes into the spider spears, Harley just
starts taking over out Then she pulls a belt out
of nowhere, such as whipping everybody with the belt, and
it's like, what is going on?

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Well, then we had I was wondering in the after
pictures how Tecla had such a nasty lash and I
was like, oh my gosh, is that from the belt?

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Wait she had the belt?

Speaker 3 (04:26):
It was then.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
I just posted a video cheap plug of everybody with
those kendos six.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yeah. And I think that was the Coole aesthetic too,
is the women weren't afraid to bring out different weapons
and different looks. You know, Harley having the Tifa gear
from Final Fantasy.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
That was a cool pop Mercedes with the title belts.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Spot I think I I liked the ending. I liked
that the heels identified a weakness in the face. They
realized that to the fullest they they're not gonna win
just by beating the ship of them. I like, so
they got creative. You know, you had Tecla and Julia
slipping out of the side. Emily was so oestruck. She
was like, wait, how are they outside?

Speaker 4 (05:13):
I was like, they slipt out the side, Like wait,
what do you mean?

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Because there's so much going on, They.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
Meant like a cage, like fencing. I was literally so
engaged in what was going on.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
In the ring.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
I didn't realize what was happening. And I'm so sad
that I missed that, But also like seeing it from
the production side of things kind of was better crawling out,
like the men are never going to be able to
do that.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Maybe, yeah, And even Brian Danielson on commentary mentioned that
during the Men, you know, he mentioned that none of
the men are going to be able.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
To do that, you know, and past matches like this,
and we've never seen something like this, correct, fantastic jaw dropped.
I was like scrolling TikTok and I saw the clip
and I was like, jaw dropped.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Literally, we could not pick my job off.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
I was like, what do you mean you did see it?
Because there was so much.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
Going on, I'm like, oh.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
My god, Like I was watching it.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
It's tough.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I mean, like I said, you know, we've been and
we saw anarchy in the arena, and like we commented previously,
there are very hard matches to watch, and yours is
predominantly locked in the cage. Besides, you know, the their
little plan you know of execution there. Other than that,
you know, most stuff's at least confined the two rings.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
So and then I think Marina Shafir, I know, we
talked a little off air. Her presentation was phenomenally. She
comes in, she instantly goes for the biggest dog, she
goes for stat Lander, pulls her out of the cage
and then kicks her into a bet of nails. And
just the way she fell down and just sold that,
you knew that sucked. And I joked we were before
we even got there. Do you think Krys Statler's gonna

(06:46):
do Split Split again? Oh no, she did something just
as vicious. And we knew that Better Nails was coming
because when we were getting ready to go in the venue,
we saw them bringing it in. But we thought it
was gonna be for the men's match. The fact that
Marina came in instantly puts her all the bent nails,
takes her socks off, goes into a cage where there's
broken glass everywhere, barefoot, she's on a different level.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Well and then her barefoot spot there where she you know,
used that glass or advantage?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Would she stop that glass?

Speaker 4 (07:14):
No need for that.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Okay, like she hit a shirt, there was zero need
to stop your foot in that glass, how bad as.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
She is, That's all I thought.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
Times did great.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Too, Yeah, so good extra stuff too, you know, with.

Speaker 6 (07:29):
The glass and then also the mirror problems.

Speaker 7 (07:33):
Yes, I loved that. I thought she didn't really get
I was wondering what you guys thought of that with
her coming in with all the pearls, knocking everybody down.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Giving everybody pearl necklaces, so to speak, unintended.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
At first, I didn't realize what she had wrapped on
her hand because because you couldn't really see from distance,
and then it wasn't until I saw them kind of
going everywhere, I'm like, oh, they're pearls, like when you
saw them kind of exploding. So visually it was cool
because it was like they were exploring. But my question
is did she steal those from Nick? From Matt Jackson?
Remember Matt Jackson's Who Are All the Pearls?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Yeah, he had a time or two. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
I also something I figured Emily would notice, you know,
since you're the our gear you know, wardrobe type person
out of us.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
All the ladies on the baby face.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Side all had a prenominate white, you know, very smart
choice of course, you know.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Especially when you're gonna have some blood going.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
I definitely like so I kept watching everybody coming out,
and I was like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh,
oh no, And it worked out so well. Sky Blue,
it looked like she had a courset on from where
we were.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
It was from her modeling gig check she rewore it.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Yeah, it was like really pretty from afar. It literally
looked like a corset. And I was like, that's kind
of heart with all the things that she's doing, Like,
how is she gonna last almost an hour in the
ring and a corset?

Speaker 2 (08:53):
She did?

Speaker 5 (08:54):
She did, and it wasn't exactly like the standardized corset.
It was like cut different places. But sorry, gearhead. I
was just like Willows, we were there too, erfore Christmassmas sweat.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
That's interesting and had Sally.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Mercedes with the blood, Well that's what I was going
to say as well, since what I got into the
blood was. I thought it was a very comedic spot
with Monette and the blood on herbie and all grossed out,
and like what no, I agreed one hundred percent. I
really enjoyed that spot where she went and grabbed all

(09:38):
the championships and passed them out.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
I thought that was a pretty cool spot.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
And also commenting on Emily's take there, I love the
order that the ladies were presented. I think it was
and I and I know it makes sense and it's whatever,
but I just thought it was smart because you know,
we'll get to the men's but I don't feel like
the mens is ordered maybe was quite as smart. In
certain ways it worked, but it wasn't as smart. This

(10:06):
boosted our tag women, you know, the women's tag tournament,
because you know we got the Sisters of Sin versus
the Babe Babe's wrath. Yes, okay, you know we got that.
Then you know, like you said, boom, then all of
a sudden it's try andgle madness.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
So now you got that. Then you got, you know,
hater coming in, so now you got.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
That battle of the trios type.

Speaker 7 (10:30):
I liked it. I was like, go, I loved it.
Blue jean, little blue jean cut off jap she did
good too.

Speaker 5 (10:37):
Yeah, I was impressed the back of her shirt I
think said blood and gut.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
And then yeah, Bean coming in looking utterly dominant. You know,
Bean's another one that quietly dominated the match. She just
came in and threw everybody around, Harley trying to climb up,
and then her just getting caught and then her taking
that Darby type risk where she jumps onto him, and
then I got a call back real quickly for I
promise I'll let you the puppet. The callback with she

(11:04):
pulls out the puppet and then knocks her out with
brass nuts, and I just love it because all I
could think of was William Regal the power of the
punch of the knuckles, and the guy was like, it's
a Regal move, and I'm like, yes, somebody else, that's awesome.

Speaker 5 (11:21):
I really enjoyed that they still got to see Penelope
Ford and Queen Amanada. I was very impressed that we
were still able to get them their moment, just because
that's something that Penelope had posted earlier in the day,
how upset she.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
Was not to be a part of right.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
And then okay, going back to the guy in front
of us. So the very very beginning, we get into
the arena and we passed by the heels table and
Aubrey's there.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Always stop by to see Aubrey. Male female, it doesn't matter.
Go see her. She's good. Talk with her, get a picture.
She's good.

Speaker 5 (11:56):
So I was like, Aubrey, where's the merch? And She's like,
go right around this corner. I'll come back.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
She goes, okay, So I go over.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
We grab our merch and okay, if you were listening
before to our other episodes, I've been dying for a
blood and guts splattered merch. I don't understand why your
whole stick was blood splatter and we got nothing.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
She's so mad. She like fantasy booked herself in the verse.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
It didn't happen, but that crazy.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
That is a cool shirt. Yeah, and they need one
like Britt Baker. You know that bloody misprint you have?

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah, I got it.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
So yeah, okay, so I gotta ask. So we've been
talking about it, So who are your m vps. I
know we kind of briefly mentioned it so everybody could
kind of think about it. But I'm gonna go, Emily,
who was your MVP? And it could be Heal, baby
Face whoever for this match, who is your MVP?

Speaker 2 (12:57):
It can be more than one.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
Obviously, sky Blue just hands down like dominated this. But
also like I think Takla was a very big influential
in this, Like yeah, she definitely had so much more
to do with this than a lot of other women,
and I think that that goes back to her have
the intertwining storyline, She's got the tag storyline, the trio storyline, and.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
She has her singles. Yeah, yep, I like it. I
like it. What do you think, Josh?

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Sky Blue still you know number one? Just because the
fact that her and Willow set the tone for the
entire match when it started, you know, going in there
and being just completely badass Rina, I definitely gotta give
a special shot at some Mirishafir. We talked about the
foot spot and how she kind of went to the champ,
but I think I'm going to kind of go Also,
this is going to sound a little weird, I'm going

(13:48):
to give another honorable mention to Mercedes Money taking herself
out of the match by going to the table to
the women who helped build Blood and Guts were in
Blood and Guts. I kind of enjoyed that the last spot.
So Megan Bain's kind of my second MVP because they
are being teasing she's holding the TBS title. I want
to point that out. She was using the TBS title
to hurt meeting and looking at it too though, So

(14:09):
it's almost like they got rid of Mercedes because she
didn't really want to be there, but then the women
who dominated one. So I think sky Blue and ban
A probably my MVPs. But I don't mention to Marina
and Monaie just because you know, Monade played the chicken
shit healed perfectly. I don't put the blood on me.
And then you know, even out of cafabe to make
sure she's taken out, so she's not in the ring
celebrating with the women who helped kind of build that blood.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
Well and not do her moment because normally it's all
about her, so if she would have been up and standing,
it would have been about her. So it was nice
that she didn't have to really take anything by being
out of it, so to speak.

Speaker 3 (14:47):
So since when we were reversing it, what about you
two who you guys have for MVP for the women's.

Speaker 7 (14:53):
Well, of course sky Blue, I mean a number one.
I actually I was thinking Mercedes Monet, like I was all,
you know, I wonder why she wasn't in there whenever
everything was down or whatever. But whenever you said that,
I was like, huh, because I thought she came in
and she was more of the back type, you know.

(15:13):
She said she did more of the back stuff and
let like everybody else fight around her.

Speaker 6 (15:17):
So h but sky Blue most definitely well.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
And then for mine, I of course had sky and
then Marina for two of mine.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
I thought there were several others, but I.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Thought money definitely helped tie things together and Bain did well.
But I will say this, I want to throw out
about Meghan Bain. She had a couple vicious belt championship
belt shots. I know she got hardly good one time
because you could hear it. It smacked her right up
side the head and heart was like, oh, like you
could tell it really got her. And then excuse me,

(15:50):
I think she was trying to hit Mina and hit
Marina right across the arm on like one of the
very first ones, and you could touch his Damn.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
I'm like, hey me, you know, yeah, she's like kind
of hit her, not me.

Speaker 1 (16:04):
But yeah, I'll say these two, I thought the ladies
did a very good job on having the violence but
not necessarily making it super over the top in some
ways like the men have done, which I think they
really needed to do to separate themselves and differentiate themselves
for this match. Because yes, I thought this was excellent.

(16:27):
I didn't think it was too over the top, even though,
like we spoke about, Skyblue got MVP partially because she
led forty five seconds in the match for the entire
forty five minutes you know, that's a big part of
this too. Yeah, and she, you know, I would say,
was the bump woman in this match for a you know,
for a big portion of it. So you know, I

(16:48):
really wanted to give a shout out to that because
I thought it was very intelligent, very smart, very thought
well thought out, because I think they really needed to
because this had a lot going on it and a
lot writing on it for the ladies involved, you know,
and I think they did a great chat.

Speaker 3 (17:03):
So have you ever seen that movie teen, which it's
an older movie came out in the late eighties early nineties.
There's aunt where there's a rap battle and she goes
on and there are these punk guys who think they're better,
and she's just like top that top. That played in
my head at the end of the women's match was

(17:23):
top that Top. That's the vibe I got for the
women's matches. They went out there and they told the
guys go fucking top that, and like, yeah, Jeff, I agree,
Like they didn't do the whole gory silk mutilation that
every like say, they used the weapons perfectly, they used
the environment, They bled the right I mean, you're you're
not going to be thrown around the cage with glass
and mirrors and everything else and not have someone bleed.

(17:45):
So I think they did the right way. Like he said,
it wasn't over the top where it was just like
a death match or someone kind of gets on them
and the bar high.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
I'm curious if they're going to use that mirror in
future promos were that's some thing that breaks Tony because
she saw, like in when we watched it at home herself,
the mirror get held up and you see Tony going
into it, and I'm so curious if they're going to

(18:13):
use this because I think that would be if you're listening,
aw use that maybe I'll use it for you.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Well, like I said, that's why I thought it was
very smart because they left a lot of storyline there
and they set it up to where it could go
a lot of different directions with a lot of different
people that were intertwined. So, like I said, that's what
I thought was very smart and very well thought out
by them.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
So I agree.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
So all right, Well not to move on because that
was definitely you know, and that's, like I said, part
of the reason, you know, I wanted to talk to
you guys about this stuff because this was a record
setting event, you know, and it's something.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
You know, you guys got to see live and in person,
so that's very special.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
But I would have been happy if, even if there
was not a men's match, with how well done that was,
they would have replaced not that I want it done,
but if they would have replaced the men with a
that we missed out on with the patrol they used
to do, OK, that could have been really cool. However,

(19:16):
I am happy we got both blood and guts because
we did not expect to get both when the.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
First time was announced, right right, well not to you know,
move on, because that was a great match. But let's
go ahead and move forward. We're gonna go with the
Hangman Adam Page versus Will Hobbs, the falls count everywhere match,
non title. I had to make sure and stress that
to her as well, because beforehand, because she's like, it's
a title or not, I'm like, Nonna, yep, that's exactly.

(19:46):
So Emily, let's go ahead and start with you kind
of your takes on, you know whatever, the finish and
kind of spots gear, you know whatever.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
So all of it. I think that they both debuted
new gear. I believe watched.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
I think his name is a danger Snake. He made
Will Hobbs gear. He always does. But my favorite part
about this match was that it wasn't necessarily going in
the ring because it is hard to have a one
on one in that style ring because like you go
to throw somebody through the middle ropes and you have
another set of middle ropes.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
And technically, by rules, you can only use one ring
when there's two rings like that. Fun fact.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
So no, that's correct.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
So it's way better that they were able to do
the false count anywhere, and they went through the whole stands.
I think I was a little disappointed because I was
really hoping to get to see somebody sit in Josh's laugh.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
She wanted a hangman in my damn lap. I'm like,
I don't want to just.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Like chop put hangman in his lap. I thought that
would wind.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Hangman get chopped.

Speaker 5 (20:51):
But I was like, you know, go across the arena
a little more. But I think that they didn't have
a lot of time to work with, and they did
the best that they couldn't that time period, and the
electrical they did so good.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
I don't know how it looked on TV. I kind
of didn't.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
It looks better on TV.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Tim Timing looked good. Timing looked good. This was not
a TNA lockdown from I can say that because I
commented immediately when it happened.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
Trust me, I hope somebody around us was recording, because.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
I don't body slam got it. She was right there,
no like me.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
I hope what I said was recorded because the second
they smashed through that box, I said, damn, they could
do that barbed wire explosion.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
You said what do you mean you can't get another
exploding barbier death.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Nice, you're gonna have to get that one on the show.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
We're gonna after Cam dropping an f bump.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
That's better. That always sounds a chair for a match.
So what do you got for us, Josh? What are
you thinking?

Speaker 3 (21:56):
I think the first but I gotta mention is that
tailbom pump off the announce his death when he does
the back body drop to Hobbs and Hobbs doesn't hit
anything but floor.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Like yes, he bounce right back up.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
And that said that that to me that set to
toev match, like, oh, this is gonna be stiffed. That's
like the first bump in the match. That's like crazy
after he already did the power slam onto the stairs
to hang Man. And it was just I liked that
they didn't use both thrinks because I was like, is
it false count anywhere so they can do both rinks.
It's technically you're not supposed to use both, like I
was trying to think of it, and then they immediately
go outside. I'm like, good, I think this is how

(22:41):
they should do it. And I liked that they didn't
try to overshadow either war games because I think excuse me,
blud and guts, because I think that was the goal,
is it's a false count anywhere. But it was more
to get in the crowd kind of keep that crowd hyped.
So it was definitely a good buffer match to you know,
because you're gonna come down off euphoria after that first match.
You get this match kind of yeah, let's go and

(23:01):
get your kind of adrenaline going again. They'll get you
ready for the next match or the next segment, and.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Then yeah, they're in the crowd.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
It was directly across Froufs, so we were in like
section one seventeen. That was in like section probably when
twenty one two, So we were wondering. We saw him
go up, but like it's just a see it people
as soon as they go up, like everyone stands up
and look.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
I cam on his seat trying.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
To look over here.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
We're damn it, we can everyone and we I had
a feeling something's gonna happen because I saw the camera
men running over there when they're near the balcony, and
I was like, oh, they're by the exit, so like
they were by like an exit to go out to
the from the floor to like the venue like area
we can get food and stuff concessions, Like that's weird
they're blocking that. And as soon as I thought that,
Hobbs falls and I was just like holy, just as

(23:48):
he fought, and then like the lights flickered and like
it was. It was very well timed, like usually, like
you said, you know, it's it can be hockey if
it's not times like this, Oh.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
And then I like that he immediately cut the promo
after He's like, you can leave Shabbata at home, you
can leave Hobbs in the hospital. You want to be
in a cage match, you could just ask dumb ass
like set up a high stakes match of full Year,
so it's not just a straight rematch. It it's a
rematch with steaks. So I thought overall it did a
great job, not only kind of taking out one of
his biggest rivals in the ops the kind of level

(24:22):
of the playing field for him a little bit, but
it set up full Gear kind of nicely. It was
a good way to set.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Up for yep.

Speaker 7 (24:29):
I like seeing Hook and Kingston coming out too, that
that was amazing coming out to save today. So I'd
like to see those three get into like a little
you know, same team.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
Type of thing, that'd be good.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
I like the fact that it wasn't all bloody and
there wasn't a lot of.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Instruments again, weapons.

Speaker 6 (24:56):
Weapons, us.

Speaker 7 (24:57):
So I thought that was really good. But I love
how it all ended in everything and how can I like,
came man, I mean, come on, he is the best
so and.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
He's there.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Virginia area. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
So, but yeah, I thought I thought it was really good.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
All right, Yeah, I'm gonna go and comment with the
same types of things.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Uh. I thought this match was planned out well too.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
As far as the false count anywhere, I think that
was very smart to do because exactly what you guys said,
it's hard to do anything with two rings and that way. Also,
it was smart because, like you said, you can get
the wrestlers out in the crowd with the match, which
is going to elevate everybody after just being brought up
so high from the match before, you know, also saying

(25:43):
it was smart. They didn't overshadow of them. There was
no blood. They used weapons, but the weapons they did
use were more physical obstacles that they utilized for bat
and you know, other things like that. Instead of cutting
them or you know, doing those types of things. Yes, yeah,
it was more, Hey, we're gonna work on the back
and keep working the back. And because you know these

(26:04):
are strong, big opponents. You know, you're the top guy
in the company against one of the bruisers in the company.

Speaker 6 (26:09):
And oh yeah, broke.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
His tailbone that man. I hope that man didn't because that.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
Hurts right well.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
And I think he landed a little bit side, so
I don't think it got tailbone. Yeah, I'm with you,
I'm with you. I was like, oh ship, you know,
but I'm the same thing. I thought this was good.
Oh yeah, and I thought it was good for yes,
he did he you watch it, he elevates, it gets up.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Yeah, the same thing.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Oh god.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
And then the finish, of course, I thought that, of
course makes it easier for hangman to go get the pin.
Hobbs doesn't look anything less because it took him pushing him,
hitting him with his cowboy boot in the head, knocking
him off a balcony onto an electrical table. So you know,
when it that to put you down, you know you're
not going to be solid as weak. And then of

(27:04):
course the last comment would be yes, definitely set up
the match at full gear, and especially then with your
run in and interference at the end.

Speaker 6 (27:13):
With Hook, who used to be on Awful.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
That's the story. That's storyline stuff. You got hang Man
versus Joe, you got the other two.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
You know those types of still think maybe what if
Hook's a double agent. I still have that Hook could
be a double agent thing.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
It's very possible.

Speaker 6 (27:29):
Ooh that could be too.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Yeah, But overall I was saying, I thought this was
a good match, and especially good in between. So but
I guess moving on to the next thing here, I
have the h and I'm kind of dreading talking about
this because it kind of hurt my heart a little
bit because I watched a lot of his matches. But
uh so we're going to the Ricky steamboat segment with

(27:53):
Tony Shavani. So before we even talk about it, because
I know everybody's probably got similar comments, Emily, what did
you think?

Speaker 5 (28:00):
I did not put two and two together until FCR
talked about teaming up with Ricky.

Speaker 4 (28:08):
I was like, wait, we were there.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
It was the dirt and arena, Yes, yes.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Showed the picture and we're like, no ship. So that
was really cool. But douchebags, like, how do you do you.

Speaker 2 (28:23):
Think that's Ricky?

Speaker 1 (28:24):
Did you think that segment ran really long? It seemed
to kind of Oh okay, I just had.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
To throw that in there.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
I thought it was a commercial, to be quite honest.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Rick Flair was originally supposed to be out there, because
he was he came out two three minutes before the
show went on the air. So he came out probably
like seven fifty five with Tony sou was like right
after one of the water matches and he just wants
to come stay hi to you. So he came out.
Everyone's wooing, and he basically said, you know, I've had
great memories of this arena and I want to thank everyone,

(28:58):
say hi. And he sounded like you a lot of pain.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
He had like watery eyes, and he.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
Sounded like he was in like his voice was cracking,
like you know when like you're very sore. And they
said that, you know, he might have a rotator cuff issue.
So I think that's why why he probably want to
go home. So I think, yeah, the pacing of the
Ricky Dragons team, I think I don't know if if
Bandido and then took too long to get out there
or if you know, there was different spots playing because

(29:23):
rick was in there, it was gonna be more than
just that. It could have cut a few minutes off
it for sure.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah. Yeah, so what did you think, Rachel.

Speaker 7 (29:32):
I've watched it twice now and I still don't know
really what all he said because I kind of go
off because he's not really talking, so I kind of
go off and think about other things. However, I thought
it was very very rude that ft R interrupted.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
That's the point.

Speaker 7 (29:49):
No, it doesn't matter, you know, like he was like
in the whole midst of talking and everything. But I
don't like the black Eye seems like an asshole too.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
But he gets close.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Now.

Speaker 7 (30:04):
So but I mean it was I did like him talking.
It was just it was very long. There could have
been some cut off.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
Yes, So yeah, so for me, you know, like I said,
leading into this, it was a little sad because Ricky's
always kind of been that guy that even though he's
the aging veteran you know and everything else, he's always
been the cleaner and not you know, didn't do as
much partying and all this other stuff. You know, because
I remember when he the times you're talking about being there,

(30:33):
I remember, and he could go like, I mean, he's
throwing out arm drags left and right, and he's doing
top rope stuff, and you're like, holy shit, like Ricky
looks good at it's fifty eight years old or whatever
the hell, you know, and it just it really looked
weird because he seemed like he was having a tough
time sticking in the script and getting his thoughts out, which,
let's all be honest, if you watched any of.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
His stuff, he wasn't necessarily the best promo guy, you
know what I mean, Like that was never really his thing.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
He was more of a performer, you know, and his
kind of stuff was more with the intro and the aura,
you know. In my in my opinion because I was
a fan, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
It was very accurate. Rick Flair was always the promo
and he was.

Speaker 7 (31:08):
Always Yeah, and the poster was really cool too. I
don't know if you guys got to see that, they.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Stands, yeah, the four horse Man, Like when he pointed
out that was cool.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Yeah, I didn't think it was not rushmore. Excuse me,
I yes, but I didn't think it was weird.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
Next to him was in line with us on the ramp,
while we were waiting to get in, and his sign
just said yay and boo.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
And I really.

Speaker 5 (31:37):
Enjoyed talking with him because he wasn't just a fan
of ae W, but he sat there talking with us
like he wasn't someone that knew a whole lot about.

Speaker 4 (31:47):
A e W.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
He was giving them a chance because he wanted to
learn more.

Speaker 5 (31:49):
Yeah, okay, Like he didn't talk about that like at
length or anything. He just kind of was like, it's
one of my first shows.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
We were actually surrounded by I would say the whole
row behind us had a lot of new fans who
hadn't really bet, but they wanted to come to a
W because it was like they said, it was twenty
bucks and really, jeez.

Speaker 6 (32:06):
I would have come down there really well.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
Christ And the best part for me was I didn't
have a fake fan around me. It was so nice.
I could focus on the wrestling everything about it. They
were wrestling fans, even if they didn't know what was
going on. They were so into the matches that they
weren't man explaining they weren't going.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
Over the top. I could actually focus on the wrestling
at hand.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
It never happens for me.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
And Chant and Chant and cheer and like everybody could
root for who they wanted.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
That's the best part.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Yeah, no, Jeff. It was your environment, Jeff, where people
got the chance going the right time, they got the
clap going thro right.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Yes, yes, I thought your crowd was very good, you know,
from our perspective from watching it on television.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
I was happy because it's been head or miss sometimes
we've we've got. We went to a collision there and
it seemed like everyone there just didn't give.

Speaker 4 (32:57):
Look at all the fake blood.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Well you have the old head.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
Well you get the old heads sometimes and they don't
really aren't the same.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
They kind of the wrong time. You're like, no, no, yes.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Correct, correct the role. Not to harb on, not to
harb on the Ricky things too much.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
But the one that really got me was when he
did that I know him. It like made me like, oh,
like Ricky, that's something going on, bro, because we know
you fucking know him.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
We all know where you work forever.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
But it was so crazy because it was like he
didn't know what was going on and like you can
see like Dat's was trying to like coach him and
like Tony, now I will say this just to end
this segment with that portion on a little bit more
positive note, he still could do the physical. Yes, I
will give Ricky that and that. Oh that salvaged it
for me personally to see him still be able to

(33:56):
do the physical portion a little bit, says I, Oh,
thank god. Maybe that means he's doesn't have anything you
know what I mean, doesn't have anything wrong, and maybe
it's just you know, hey, he's not a very good
talker and he's.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Getting old, you know. So I was glad to see
that he could do the physical.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
So he had to memorize Flare's lines too, so he's like,
oh crap, two scripts.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Yeah, yeah, you know what I mean, So I can
get that, Like I said, because the physical saved it
for me because it's like, okay, that was encouraging because
he can still move and do that type of stuff.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
And we got to see Bendido so happy. I got
to see a twenty one plex.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
Like yeah, yeah, So then yes, that's what I was
going to say. So now we got the save by Brodido.
So you guys, pretty much I have a good idea.
Knew that was coming, So what'd you think about that?
So go ahead and do that Emily, what do you
think about them coming out in that save In.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
That moment, I didn't look at me. I looked next
to me at our child. He had just gotten his
Brodido shirt. He was so excited.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
About Oh that's what he picked and he was so
happy to see them come out. Brody, Yeah, so awesome.
I just it's all about that moment with the kids.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
You know what's funny. I was looking at Cam too
because I because he was so he was We went
up and he's looking. He's like, oh this dark so
oh what the Brotido shirt? And we had and you know,
he earned, he helped clean and stuff. He earned his
allowns to get a shirt, and he was so excited
to get that Brodido shirt. And then they came out
and he was like, so, I just knew that the
moment the night was gonna up for him because I
knew Darby was coming out and he had to see Rodido.

(35:27):
So he was already on cloud nine because he had
to see all his favorites.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
Yeah, that's AWESO.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
Like instill it in him. I had to work my
ass off the past couple of weeks at work.

Speaker 4 (35:37):
Therefore, I got two shirts.

Speaker 5 (35:39):
I got this one, and I got the e CW
Barbed Wire Style e W for.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
SIOS one and it's got.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Oh so that was there. You go, you got your
blood satisfied.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
But I was like, I've worked really hard, Like I
did a really great day.

Speaker 4 (35:55):
We had four people on.

Speaker 5 (35:56):
I made seventeen hundred sales on a Sunday, which is like, yeah,
hell yeah, I'm treating myself.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Damn right, yearned it well.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
And I can comment from that perspective too, because we've
seen Cam have some experiences for ourselves, and I can
tell you right now there were times that I was
watching him and not myself or Nero or you know,
Spencer or something that happens several times during cruises or shows.
You get a kid or something around you it because
you know, you're like, oh man, I want to see

(36:27):
this kids. You know what his reactions and you know
things like that because it makes me feel good.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
So you know, like this upcoming cruise to see Cam
and New Rok because they're both Jeff Hardy fans to
see Oh yeah, everyone gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
So but then we'll go our last segment before we
get moving forward. Then we have don Kyle is saying, well,
of course I get hot Dog in there somewhere, of course,
don't we.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Then his the don Kyllis family.

Speaker 1 (36:55):
Attack on Jurassic Express backstage, so you guys get to
see that, I'm assuming through the jumbo tron. Yeah, okay,
So what did you guys think about that with the
Bucks and Nokada.

Speaker 5 (37:07):
Yes, so all of that is like unfolding, and I'm
just staring at the scar on Don Kallis's head because
the show, we were talking about it with the couple
behind us about how his scar looks different every time
he's on TV, and I'm just like, it's because they're
overcooking him.

Speaker 2 (37:30):
It makes the scar look brighter.

Speaker 3 (37:32):
So you're calling him a the gas station hot dog
that stuck there for six hours.

Speaker 4 (37:39):
I'm so over Don callous.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
Like going to the Quick TRIPU like the hog's been
there since they've opened And I don't mean this morning.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yeah, but I do think that sentiment you just made
is the biggest thing about Don Kallas is that sentiment.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Everybody's tired of him. Everybody's tired of.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
The don Kallis family, but they just keep getting better
and bigger, and eventually there's got to be a crash.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
I think it's coming.

Speaker 3 (38:03):
I think this is a good segment because on BTE
you had Okata basically trying to convince the Bucks like
you got to join, and then after they attacked, you know,
Jurassic Express, Okada is like time to make a decision.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
Yeah, I love humor.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
So we could potentially by the end of this month
have three reluctant members of the Don Collis family. Could
have the Bucks and Brisco if he loses. So I
think this segment did good because, like you said, it
kind of sets up the Don Kallas is getting too
big to fail. But like you know, you have someone
like Brian Cage who unfortunately he's out with injury, but
he's been kind of like Ink tweeting his displeasure like,

(38:40):
oh cool, see forgot about me because I'm on the shelf.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
I haven't done that. Absolutely, yes it is.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
And then of course the Kenny Omega name always pops
up when Don Challas is involved.

Speaker 3 (38:51):
It's his white whale.

Speaker 1 (38:53):
It is Mark versus Mark, Mark versus.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
That's gonna be fun.

Speaker 5 (38:59):
That's gonna be And I think this is going to
kind of set up what's to come for him as
far as that match with Kyle, I think that this
is like the make it or break it match for him?
Is he going to attempt to injure him? Like, there's
so many things that go into that, and then just

(39:21):
being able to kind of watch the don Kyals family
unravel the way that it is and being able to
take it in because you can.

Speaker 4 (39:30):
They're not hiding that.

Speaker 5 (39:32):
So the young bucks have people that are going to
take care of them. Obviously they're going to hang out.
So yeah, now is it unraveling or is it turning
a new leaf?

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Right? Correct? That's the nice part about it all.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Is this funny thinking that don Call is turning new leaf? Sorry,
I just think of him on the rollers. Still.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Yeah, he's got no hot dogs to join him.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
That is fair so well, and then without further ado,
we'll get to the main event, which the men's blood
and guts. So Emily will go ahead and start with
you give me some insights, some spots, some favorite things,
you know, whatever, gear and all that goodies.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
So what do you got for us?

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Why was Darby opening the match?

Speaker 5 (40:17):
Derby's going to be a wheeler Yuda and Darby? And
then it was it was but I didn't want.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
It to be Derby at the same time. That's the
whole match.

Speaker 5 (40:36):
Then having Orange Cassidy bringing out his backpack I was
excited about.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
She gave me the look because I was like, I
don't think he'll bring the backpack. So he brings it
back back out and she just goes.

Speaker 1 (40:48):
That was the guy I told you it was, And
then we saw him getting his hands stapled in his pockets.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
When I tell you I was, you can hear it
on our videos Like no, no, I mean it was
genius spot, a.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
Great spot you had. Somebody had to eventually right.

Speaker 4 (41:09):
It had to be a stable gun party at some
point too, Like.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
Yeah, no, And I think you kind of hit the
nail on the head earlier when you're talking about the
woman's match. I think the only really downfalls This one
kind of took a little bit to get going because
of how kind of people came out. Because obviously one,
two three you basically had Udah, Orange and Darby, so
you kind of knew that dynamic, and then you knew the
death ROAs start trickling in. You had Claudio come in,

(41:35):
Moxley coming in, Moxley coming in a lot earlier than
I thought, which was kind of nice. Then the Brisco
injury angle, I wasn't really a big fan of it
at first because I thought they were going to replace him.
And I'm glad they did, you know, the whole Paul
Pierce Game seven wheelchair moment when he just had he
faked knee injury. I'm glad that they, you know, did

(41:59):
something with Mark and I kind of like how they
structured it towards the end. In the beginning, I feel
like they flipped it. I feel I should have got
the other way. I know you were talking about Garcia earlier,
like the mask and the gloves. That was a little weird,
but we knew he was only in there to kind
of beat people up. But seeing Darby, seeing Orange take
out the chain of the backpack, just seeing him do

(42:20):
something different was nice.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
What about the sunglasses spot for Oc, Just that.

Speaker 3 (42:25):
One snapped him and then he like goes put him
on his head. He's like, oh, yeah, I broke him.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
That was great. I thought that was a great spot.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
I liked when Moxie used the broken mirror from the
women's match like that.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
I liked when he brought all the stuff out, like
he took their bucket and brought all that stuff, and
I thought that was a great, great thing too.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
I channeled my Jeff because when Roderick replaced Mark and
he came out, I was like, I'm like, we're getting
some back breakers now and hereaker.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Oh I was, I was backbreaker.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Oh he comes out and throws like five six right
away and every one of a backer another.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
Emily couldn't get away from it because the guy in
front of me said it, and I was, I finished
it for us because him and I like bombed it
all night because he would start a cheat. And that's
another one. When Moxley brought out the bar buyer bat,
I was like, it's lucial. Then he hits him. He goes,
it's a vampire bat Y front. I forgot your name,
but I had so much fun, like having chances with it.
I think that's what made.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
Jesse was in front of us, Jason, Oh, Jason, I'm
so sorry happens.

Speaker 3 (43:31):
And yeah, I thought, you know, Emily mentioned the stable spot.
I thought it was awesome. Towards the end, you know,
you had him wrip his hands out of the staple
and delivered that Superman punch to Boxley and then Claudio
shoves him, he pops up and hits that giant Superman punch.
So I thought Orange Cassidy had some awesome moments. Kyle
O'Reilly is coming in like the violent artist that we know.

(43:53):
He is coming in throwing all those kicks, being choked
out in a bulldog choke with a chain blood on
his face. He smiled and flipped him off, and it
was like, holy shit, the place went wild, and you know,
Darby being Darby climbing, you know, climbing doing a coffin
drop can't thrown through those flaming tables I pop for
game Kid. I was like, holy shit, thats fucking Gabe Kid,

(44:15):
and then he showed him like, no, Gabe, don't hurt Derby.
I don't know how well it came off on camera.
When Darby went through, his back was still on fire
when he rolled to the back.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
No, they they slow mo. Yeah, so like they show
the replay of it and then they show a slow
mo after replay and show his back on fire after
he's like getting up because like the whatever lighter fluent
or whatever they use whatever got on his back too.

Speaker 5 (44:44):
So oh yeah, we were actually supposed to do a
meet and greet with him today at NERD Bombers in Greensboro.

Speaker 3 (44:53):
But he's pretty banged up. Thankfully, he's not super injured.

Speaker 5 (44:56):
But my question is like, oh, shut, if you have
medics on hand, why was he in the e.

Speaker 4 (45:03):
R because that made me more worried.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
No, you can't. You can't speculate that because you can't
mags on hand. But they're not always equipped to treat everything.

Speaker 2 (45:12):
So they might be able to certain injuries or certain
We can help you.

Speaker 3 (45:15):
We need you to get to We need to get that.
We know why he was in the R.

Speaker 5 (45:19):
I have a feeling tonight we'll find out why. On
collision Well, from.

Speaker 3 (45:23):
What I've heard and read, it sounds like he, you know,
avoid a pretty much everyone but Jamie Hater avoid his injuries.
It sounds like Hater chips and teeth and is a
little banged up. But with with how with how hard
we took some of those spots, I'm honestly surprised he
was able to kind of get up and walk out
because he took some riley spots. Huda was definitely the

(45:45):
buttman of this one. He just took her out and
then when they go the grappling hook and sorry pulling
the chairs up. I was going on always fishing. I
was like, oh no, it got stuck, It got stuck,
and then they robbed and they had the chair about him.
Then he finally hits that j driller on top. I

(46:05):
was so happy and like, if anyone deserves that as Uda,
Oh yeah, also aw needs this. Pre saw their tables
because those you had the women's match where you had
poor Sky get hit, get have table that didn't break,
and then hey, you're trying to put it through. It
didn't break. This one Claudia got speared to the table.
They kind of like rolled the didn't break, and then
they finally got him through.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
So a little bit of a gimmick.

Speaker 3 (46:25):
And I don't know if they just need to do
a little hairlines so on some of these tables.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
Well, and I will say there was a couple of
them that did land a little bit off center. They
landed a little bit towards the end because like and
then I know, for you guys, you know saying for us,
it's hard to tell that stuff until you watch it
on the television version. But there were a couple of
those where you can tell they were off center. So
they were more on the leg. So then a couple
of them when they did crack, it was like right

(46:49):
after the leg, so they just barely kind of you know,
I know, a couple of them they kind of finished
them off again, so to speak.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
So but yeah, you could tell.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
And honestly, some of that stuff, like I've talked about,
I don't mind. Some of that just makes it a
little bit more real.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
You know.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
I wasn't mad. I just just right right for safety.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
I just wish they could You're right right.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
The sky hit that the entire If you listen back,
you can hear the entire ring. Oh yeah, we all
knew that sucks.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
There was a couple of spots where you could definitely
hear because the crowd kind of like held their breath
for a second, you know what I mean, because the
spot was going down. You were like, and then you're
or something. Ah, You're like, that was a good spot.

Speaker 3 (47:31):
When Moxie comes in, it's instantly forking everyone. That was
that you could hear it. Like when Darby went for
that backdrop, he just stabs him right in the back.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
I'm like, oh, I thought that was a cool spot
of him coming in, So.

Speaker 3 (47:44):
I turned down guy, and I was like, oh, fork even.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
In the back, So what do you got, Rach and
you got anything.

Speaker 7 (47:51):
I thought the way that it ended was kind of sucky,
like really, you know, foot things like, but Moxy has
been whatever, Moxley. It has been like on a losing streak. Now,
so I wonder what's coming up with him, like what's

(48:12):
what's is he gonna be leaving for a little bit, like,
what's what's going on?

Speaker 6 (48:17):
He usually doesn't ever lose.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
This much, so part of the story, I think.

Speaker 7 (48:22):
But yeah, I just thought that the inning can have
been a little bit better. But other than that, I
thought it was really good. Yeah, and then the whole
Derby thing and him just don't play with fire, I.

Speaker 3 (48:33):
Know, you know, and then Greensborough has not being good
at Derby. He went through a giant plate. Grass showed that.

Speaker 2 (48:41):
They showed that too.

Speaker 1 (48:43):
They show Yeah, he's like Derby here and you know
in North Carolina, so.

Speaker 3 (48:49):
The nurses love him, like, oh hey, Darby, how are
you taking again? I thought his nose when Claudia hit
him in.

Speaker 1 (48:59):
The face, she asked that too. She asked that too,
and I'm like, I don't think so I said it
was close though, sorry, Jeff, oh no, no, you're good,
no problem at all. I'll bring up a couple of
things here. I thought the double swing by Claudia, I
enjoyed that. You know, you gotta love that. Claudio is
just a fucking freak man.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
That dude.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
Man, he's definitely a main state. I thought in this
match too, like you said, the mockx and the fork,
I really enjoyed that. You know, Kyle O'Reilly wow, really
getting his dues and getting these callbacks to these mocking
matches he's been having in this build, you know, to
kind of elaborate with Rachel. You know, that other failure

(49:41):
for Mox, So you know he's not a man of
his word now, you know, that's the one thing they said, Hey,
we might be whatever, but we you know, say it
the way it is, We do it the way it is.
We we fight. You Belee with us, you know you're
one of us. This type of things. Well, right now
he's not pulling his weight. So I mean, I feel
like we have that obvious challenge of leadership going to
be coming up. You know, you had Marina even looking

(50:03):
super strong and very leaderish in some ways in the
women's match, where now you have Maxley being you know,
the not very resilient leader or setting an example.

Speaker 3 (50:16):
So his lieutenant Claudia, like, what is he? Because really, Claudia,
his MVP.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
Of his he ruffs everybody up. Yeah, he ruffs everybody up.
He's the physical, the muscle, the brute where you know,
Wheeler's the hair. You eat the shit and we come
in and try to clean it up. So but uh, okay,
so let's go ahead and go to MVP's of this match. So, Emily,
who do.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
You got for your MVP? I have a feeling he's
going to be pretty similar.

Speaker 5 (50:42):
Kyle O'Riley hands down, like sky Blue just can't not
give him that. I think that this has really shown him.
I think prior to the death writer storyline, I thought
of Kyle more like a comedic style with the technical
with it, but definitely like I see his like, not brutality,

(51:08):
but I see his main event kind of side coming out.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
I really enjoy this.

Speaker 3 (51:13):
Side of blossoming for you.

Speaker 5 (51:15):
Yeah, I think that this. I know he has it
in him. I know he's had that in NXT. I
didn't watch that NXT.

Speaker 4 (51:21):
That wasn't.

Speaker 3 (51:23):
Oh yeah, this is Red Dragon Kyle, this is like, yeah,
I love it. I'm glad you're seeing it.

Speaker 2 (51:27):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (51:27):
Yeah, stuff that like I've known he could do, just
didn't get to see it.

Speaker 1 (51:32):
So he was not comedic when he was with Red
Dragon with Bobby Fish and they were a tag team
because they they're one of their things was acts and smash,
like they didn't fuck around.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
They came out, they mixed martial art at.

Speaker 1 (51:43):
You, and you know, we're very brutal and a lot
of kicks and a lot of heavy hits.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
So I feel like Brian Danielson would have been the
perfect that would have been the perfect tree if you
had Brian Danilson, Kyle Riley and Bobby Fish, oh yeah,
no one would have heads and everyone would be walking
around all bruised out from kicks.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
Oh oh yeah, for sure to be kicking heads off.

Speaker 5 (52:02):
I also think Claudio definitely was shining through this match.
He always does, but especially not having to go to
the top to do the swing and just to be
able to do it in the cage. I think there
were so many elements to it and I hate to
give this man some kind of a grace, but this

(52:23):
bastard looked fucking huge. He looks l j N when
he comes out, he stood like a figure, like, why
is your head? Why are your arms so big? What
happened to the rest of you? Like he is all arms?

Speaker 3 (52:39):
So did he retire the black Arrow? I have not
seen him hit it since he's come back. I just
wanted to point out.

Speaker 1 (52:44):
I think it's because of the new uh with being
with the Death Riders. I think he's trying to do
that more physical and get rid of some of that,
you know, aerial stuff. I think because it just doesn't
maybe come off a strong.

Speaker 5 (52:56):
Do you guys know the episode of Spongebobb where he
blows up the arms.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
Arms and walking around.

Speaker 2 (53:03):
With all out and everything else. Okay, I can see that.
I can see that. That's nice. So Josh, who you
got is your MVPs.

Speaker 3 (53:14):
Uh sticking with Kyle too, just again the violent artist.
It was nice to see him back, is like like you, Jeff.
I was fortunate enough to see him in a Ring
of Honor and see him in his NXT run and
kind of see what he was capable of, and then
just to see him go out there knowing he's had
neck is shoes and just hanging with Moxley, a former
world champion, hanging with Claudio, a former world champion, hanging
with people in there that he hasn't really got a

(53:36):
chance to lock up with him and Pak is a
match I did not know I needed to see until
ize how blood and guts, but that would be a
fire solo match. I really enjoyed two. He's gonna say,
Orange Cassidy, I think would be my second MVP because
you know, everyone talks about his slusstyle, but when he
snapped those sunglasses, it was almost like, fine, I'm gonna

(53:57):
fucking try. And like you said, he's japping the head
with it and he's getting his hints stable, but he's
he's fighting to the pain, he's fighting to the lais
and as he he saved Kyle Riley and I think
that's kind of an underbraded moment. Kyle's being chained, he's
about to get his next stomped. Roderick's tied up in
the ropes. Orange Cassidy leaps up, takes his hands out,

(54:18):
drop kicks, punches, he saves them, and he kind of
helps finish the match. And I think that was like
an MVP moment for me because he kind of helped
set up the finish, and then Ottro mentioned to Roderick Strong,
and obviously Claude's Roderick Strong, just coming out there with fire,
like you said, hitting all the back breakers, hitting those
running knees, hitting spots that you didn't think he's then

(54:39):
get poor poor guy getting mashed by Moxley, like right away,
just getting cheese graded. Oh yeah, you know, he's got
wargame experience too. He's been in four of these and
he was able to use that. I think him and
Kyle kind of helped past the match. And I think
that's what helped when they were both in it, because
they had that experience, and Moxley's been in three of
them and you didn't, Claudia, So I think all of

(54:59):
that you were kind of helped build it. So it
picked up towards end, and I really and I like
to finish. I thought it was cool to give it
to Kyle. I agree. I know what Rachel was saying,
but I thought it was cool to give it to Kyle,
like to give that moment to like, yeah, you know,
I finally got that win. You didn't get the disqualification
this time.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
He didn't.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
He didn't knock out the reft this time, I made
your rass tap.

Speaker 1 (55:20):
Hey, I have been literally the only person in the
building cheering for Kyle O'Reilly. I can vouch for that,
and she can too, because when we saw I think
it was Kyle O'Riley versus Darby and Vegas double or
nothing twenty through two or three. I can't remember which
one we went to, but I think it was their match,
and I was the only one cheer and he won,
and I was static because nobody else but like you said,

(55:42):
I'm the same way, but Rachel, who you got?

Speaker 6 (55:45):
Of course Kyle, but no, this is the men's okay,
so the men twice.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
I mean, he's awesome.

Speaker 6 (55:55):
I thought Darby did really well. Kyl O'Riley, he does,
gidd it.

Speaker 7 (55:59):
He was all bloodied and you know then with slipping
people off and you got to see a different side
of him.

Speaker 6 (56:04):
So he did. He did a really good job. Orange
Castid did as well. I just want to see what's
coming up with mostly something's happening with me. Yeah, I
want to see what's going on with that. But I
said Kylo riding.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
I'm I'm along with everybody else and a lot of
these I thought Kyle o'reiley definitely was one of the
main ones, and I was very happy for it as well, because,
you know, kind of going to Emily's comment, he hasn't
had a place or that role or what is you know,
what is his spot in aw so to speak, and

(56:42):
that's why he He does have a good sense of
humor and all that, but that's not really how he is.

Speaker 2 (56:48):
He wasn't like that NXT.

Speaker 1 (56:49):
The only thing he really did that was goofy was
he always did the title belt guitar air guitar with
the title belt and ship, which is I love it,
you know, but that was one of the really goofy
things he ever did. Like more NXT and all Arena honor,
he was definitely a lot more of that serious, straight
up you know, didn't give up. Was you know an animals,
a spartan type thing. You know, was had good conditioning,

(57:12):
has good you know, uh submission technique and that like Mouie.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
Tie and that type of stuff. So I was really
happy for him to get his moment because I.

Speaker 1 (57:20):
Feel like he deserves it, and you know, coming back
from injury, you know, he was in a big spotlight
there briefly whenever they all came over, you know, and
then and Cole gets hurt, you know this, and that
Bobby Fish is out, you know what I mean. It
kind of left him the man high and dry because
I don't think Roddy was there at the time yet.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
And when those three first came.

Speaker 3 (57:40):
It comes full circle because when we went to Revolution
in Greensborough, that's when Kyle O. Riley made his he
was returned and he confronted Roderick. So it was kind
of cool to see that come full circle that we
got to see him return from his neck injury. Then
we got to see him win blood and guts. Like
I thought to me, that's what I was like, Oh,
that's such a cool moment. Like you said, he got
that moment.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
So I thought it was really great that. You know,
it was good to see Kyle have this push. Looks
like it's coming, so I'm very happy for that. I
will also go with you, Josh on the gay Kid appearance.
I didn't know if it would happen because I didn't think,
you know, he kind of was phased out of the
story in certain ways maybe at the time, so that

(58:19):
I thought that was a good addition to it to
kind of keep him relevant and that way, you know
he can make further appearance or anything else.

Speaker 4 (58:26):
So let to talk about our favorite father.

Speaker 2 (58:31):
Oh that's true.

Speaker 4 (58:31):
Risco almost didn't compete in this we did.

Speaker 1 (58:39):
Early on just because it was one of the you know,
early things that he couldn't go out.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
So then when he did the roddy yeah, oh no,
you're good. You're good. Hey, I'm trying to keep up
with some of it too. Remember.

Speaker 5 (58:52):
Another thing I think would be really cool to see
would be maybe like how Orange tries, right, so he
comes out when he like tries and matches when he
gets like, you know, he's had enough. I would love
to see a blood Orange run give us like grudge
match Orange Cassidy.

Speaker 4 (59:14):
Where he just like brutalizes people. He doesn't need to
be the one bleeding. Give us a blood worm.

Speaker 1 (59:21):
Well like like had the guy where he's like, well
now I've been in blood and guts, so noow, I'm
like violent type thing.

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Is that what you mean? Now?

Speaker 1 (59:27):
Well, since I did it once, now I like it.
So I'm keeping that chain in my backpack.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
I'm the dumper. I'm gonna give you some juice.

Speaker 1 (59:37):
That's what he's gonna give me, So I guess we'll
go any kind of final takeaways or anything maybe you
forgot or anything else, or just your overall take on
the entire show. So Emily, let's start with you. Let's
go around everybody to find that out. Did you forget anything,
maybe something you thought of, you know from everybody talking, or.

Speaker 5 (59:55):
Obviously I blacked out during Mark Brisco, but I think that.

Speaker 3 (59:59):
You see spaced at Black Tooth sounds like you have
a drinking problem.

Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Or ladies and gentlemen, we just want to clarify on
this episode that Emily does.

Speaker 2 (01:00:07):
Not have enough or.

Speaker 5 (01:00:13):
I think that a lot of the women's history was
built in this match alone. I think that their stories
are going to develop. I'm just like in awe of
everything that they were able to do, and how incredible
is it? Again, like crawling out of those tunnels? That

(01:00:33):
is just straight up incredible. When have we again, we've
never seen that. We've seen plenty of war games, We've
seen plenty of these blood and guts matches. We've yet
to see something where they utilize the cage to that degree. Earlier,
before we got on air, Jeff was asking who our
MVPs were, and I was like the cage. They utilized

(01:00:55):
this cage so well. Darby was thrown into it multiple times.
You have somebody else like kind of falling gets stuck
in there.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
It was Derby.

Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Telate Teckla did.

Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
She was the one that kind of slid down with
her and of course you know she's so super bendy,
so she was literally bent to the hat.

Speaker 4 (01:01:13):
Yeah, like lawn chaired.

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Yeah, yeah, she was.

Speaker 5 (01:01:17):
I just really think that this was revolutionary as far
as both matches were concerned. It was different than any
other blooding guts we had seen. I think that the
top of the cage was utilized, but not overly done
like in the past. As much as I thought Mark
was going over the edge, it didn't know.

Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
I had to explain to her, Listen, there's one table.
Nobody's going off with one table. Would be multiple tables.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Oh yeah, oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:01:44):
I was like, the tables break the fall. So if
it's one table, it's going to be from like Apron
level height. If it's going to be higher than Apron
level height, it's like three or four.

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
I just think so is that your match of the night, Emily?
Then the women's would that be your match of the night.

Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
Okay, before we went in, while I was at the
heels table, someone had asked Aubrey if the women were
the main event, and she said, no, but it's better
this way. So what I mentally had prepared highlight of
the night, but it was better.

Speaker 4 (01:02:16):
It was better.

Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
I call it the highlight match. When you're the opening match,
that's highlight of the night match. So that's just as good.

Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
I think it was good because, you know, it gave
them a time because they went I know Wikipedia says
forty six minutes, but I kind of clocked it in
a little about fifty ish minutes. Both went about fifty.
I don't know if Wikipedia just went like from this
rounded up with two people in, but I went from
when the first entrance started, and I got about fifty

(01:02:43):
ish minutes for each of them. So I like that,
you know, they got their full time. No one got
time cut. I was a little worried about when they
said the women were opening that, Oh I hope they
don't get anything cut, Like, I hope it's not that,
but Aubrey had a shirt Emily it's so they don't
get anything cut. So I felt better because I think
Aubrey was going to lie to a woman for a
table full of women heels fans about the women's match,

(01:03:05):
so I felt confident and.

Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
Cruiser because Aubrey is a cruiser too. We've all met
her many times.

Speaker 3 (01:03:12):
Absolutely, and I just too, just like you know, I
felt like I kind of kept the close to this
because I think if if we said anything, it might
be divisive, like, oh, weren't they made inventing? And I
was like, we want the show speak for itself because
it's not our place to, you know, say that. But
I would say Meltzer. I said this earlier. Meltzer rated
it four and a half for the women's and five
for the men's, and I think he got it wrong.

(01:03:32):
I think the women's was a five star match. I
think the men's was maybe four stars, and that's because
the men it took a little while to kind of
get going, and I don't feel like the storytelling was
as well. It was bad storytelling, but it wasn't as
predominant the women's. Emily said it earlier. You guys said
it earlier. The way they had everyone come out. Everyone

(01:03:54):
had a story Harley had beef with actually everyone had
beef for Mercedes. But you had the triangle in mad
and she would everyone kind of calling back spots Willow
and Statlander. Emily was so crushed. You had Willow and
Statlander stand across the ring and everybody's channing hug it out,
including hug it out, and they get shoved into each other.
Just delaying that moment because when it happens, it will
be special. And I think because of those moments, it

(01:04:16):
makes the women's match match like for me. But I'm
gonna give it. I'm gonna give it the five. Sorry,
I think it's the best blood and Guts match I've seen.
We went back and rewatched them all. This is now
my new favorite Blood and Guts And I still keep
Detroy's number two, but I'll put the men's twenty twenty
five under Detroit. So but I'm saying the wom's Bud
and Guts is my favorite just because it's what war
games is. It's supposed to be. It's supposed to be

(01:04:40):
smart groups that have beef, everyone has blood feuds with
each other. It's supposed to mean something. And then the surrender,
the surrenders, what want it for me? How they had
to make Tony give up? She didn't want to be
she couldn't see meaning it hurt. I think it was
just good wrestling, good storytelling, good goddamn fucking show.

Speaker 5 (01:05:00):
Everybody else out and they utilized Mina and Tony having
that so to be able to take everything out of
it and just have the two of them in there.
It was just perfect storytelling. But anyways, what do you
guys think?

Speaker 7 (01:05:15):
Go ahead, Rachel, what you got now. I thought it
was a great show. I loved the fact that it
was the women's first bledding guts.

Speaker 6 (01:05:22):
I liked all the storylines that they had in that.

Speaker 7 (01:05:25):
I thought that went really well and I would definitely
give that a five star over it all more than anything,
I actually really liked it. There wasn't any law time,
well except for whenever steam Boat Top, but you know
that it is what it is. You know, you had
to have something on that. But I thought it was great.
I thought the.

Speaker 6 (01:05:44):
Women did amazing and the men did good, so yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Yeah, kind of the same.

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
My match of the night was the women's It was
record setting, it had a lot of I just thought
it was very smart.

Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
That's one of the things. Intel leg and how they
did a lot of things.

Speaker 1 (01:06:02):
The something I wanted to I definitely wanted to bring
up that went on some of our stuff from that
women's match, was that plan of the victory for the
Triangle of Madness and all of that, and then the
execution of actually doing it, you know, because yes, they
had violence in the match, and they showed, you know,
that they can do all that, but they also showed, hey,

(01:06:23):
we're intelligent and we're plotting.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
And planning, and now we're more dangerous because now you know,
we're doing both.

Speaker 1 (01:06:32):
We're doing the physical and the mental side of this.

Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
So now yes, you know, because.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Let's be honest, you know, the ladies in the Triangle
of Madness are not the biggest of statued ladies or women,
you know, whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
They're not the biggest of stature.

Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
They're not the stat Landers, the Willows, the Megan Vanes,
those type of ladies. These are you know, a lot
more petite and stature, you know, and they need that
intelligence to get over on some of these other people that
are more physical and whatever. And it also showed a
lot of their solidarity in that, hey, we're a group,
we're for each.

Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
Other, you know, and all of that.

Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
So that was one thing I definitely wanted to bring
up from earlier that I kind of forgot. But yeah,
the lady definitely, ladies were the match of the night.
I would definitely be the same. I would definitely switch
those ratings. The men's would have been, in my opinion,
more on that four point one four point two type
of range, because it was a very good match, and
I agree with you that once you got the experienced

(01:07:31):
men in there, it really started making the match start
to make sense and pop off a lot more and
you could see a little bit more of the storylines
and that thought out you know, intelligence so to speak,
you know. But overall, yeah, like I said, I thought
it was a very good night. It was definitely a
pay per view worthy dynamite show, you know. And like

(01:07:52):
I said, I just thought it was very smart in
a lot of different things, which sometimes get very chaotic
and sometimes I like that, but I also do like
that smart planned out structure, you know, the yeah, well
the hangman, the hangman match in between, you know, just
those types of things that's spacing. I do think the
Ricky spot we could have did without. I love it

(01:08:13):
that they got him out there, because he is a legend,
you know, just in general and around that area.

Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
So or maybe a pre tap backstage and.

Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
Correct because it could have been a lot better to
help him out and make him look better because I
just thought it that first portion just it kind of
hurt my heart a little bit, like I said, it
salvaged it later, but but yeah, overall this is I mean,
what do you got out of overall show? I guess
will be one of my final things here. What is
your overall rating of this show? On a five scale?
We'll do the old Metser or Meltzer scale. I think

(01:08:47):
that five overall.

Speaker 5 (01:08:49):
It was Yeah, it was so quick too, like we
had just sat down. I didn't even take a pre break,
Like it.

Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
Was so fast, and she's bleeping and you're like, oh
I got a pet and she's already.

Speaker 5 (01:09:01):
Okay, cool, Like I'm not moving from the seat. Cam
looks over after the women's mats. I gotta go to
the bathroom. I was like, I'm not moving.

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
Okay, Well, Josh, what do you got for us?

Speaker 3 (01:09:13):
I think four and a half out of five stars?
Just yeah, that the Ricky segment just went a little
too long. It was kind of like I said, come on,
get to the budd and gouts like I'm glad to
see it, but that's the only thing saved it from
being probably like a perfect five out of five. But
probably i've been with.

Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
Maybe the men's pacing. Maybe the men's pacing a little
bit too on that, Yeah, that's.

Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
The men's pacing. I've been to a few Diamonds Collisions,
probably been my favorite, obviously because I don't know if
it's a gimmick or not, but favorite Dynamite Collision. Like
TV taping, I want to And it's kind of funny
because I was telling her on the way back, I'm like,
it's so awesome that my two favorite shows that I've
seen are in that same venue, seeing Revolution Live there
and seeing Right Blood and Gots. Like when you guys
get to go shave, it's for Dynasty scene. When you

(01:09:52):
favorite shows and shave, it's like it's it's just cool
to go. Somebody're like, I know I'm gonna be here
for a good time because the last time I wasn't disappointed.

Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
And that's where all of our shows are, which is
the awesomest part every aw show we went to around
our area, besides the Peoria one, which we just kind
of did that on a whim. You know, because it
was like, well it's half hour further, but the tickets
are cheap, and you know, it's like let's go right,
you know, but we love it. So Rachel, what do
you got for us? We're rating out of five, I'd

(01:10:20):
say five for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:10:21):
You're going to five as well.

Speaker 6 (01:10:22):
Yeah, I thought it was really good.

Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
Okay, I'm gonna be on the same with Josh and
I'm gonna cite those two issues for myself as well,
So I'm gonna go that four point five four point
six range as well.

Speaker 2 (01:10:34):
I thought just a couple of those issues, you know,
So I'm gonna go four.

Speaker 1 (01:10:37):
I'm gonna go four to six just because I'm gonna
I'll go a little bit higher because it was an.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
Overall great show. You know, it's gonna be hard to top.

Speaker 3 (01:10:46):
I think I think it's full year half on Cage
Match right now, which is wild wow.

Speaker 5 (01:10:51):
To like people listening if this was your first blooding
guts to watch live, like you've watched the other ones
in the past, but they like live.

Speaker 4 (01:11:02):
You didn't have to be at the show.

Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
That changes everything, Like.

Speaker 5 (01:11:09):
How did you feel going into this and what are
the thoughts that you have?

Speaker 4 (01:11:13):
Because they know that there are a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:11:14):
Of new aw fans and I'm just so curious and
if you were able to go live, what were your thoughts?
