Speaker 1 (00:39):
And welcome to Cruisan Cafe about Mango, and we're backstreaming
because I figured it out. I wouldn't say that I would,
but we are back and we're here today to watch
part one of this five part series Kenny Omega or Socada,
so we can go into their or leading up to
(01:01):
all in, or y'all in as they're saying.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
In Texas, they're saying that everywhere. I don't know about
you guys, but I'm pretty excited for the lead to
all In. I can't believe we have a forbidden door
coming up.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
You have everything is growing between. We have Dominion tonight
at New Japan, which to Ketsch just fighting. They're gonna
announce the climax, which is important to this match as well.
You have this feud, this these four matches which Emily
has never seen. So that's why we decided to do
a watch along. Now, we're not gonna do a lot
of yap and just because it's about an hour match,
so we're gonna get into it here soon. But if
(01:34):
you'd like to watch it with us, what we're gonna
need you to do is go on either New Japan
Worlds or you're gonna go on to the old Google
machine type in full match, so that if the site
says something about Tokyo, maybe that's a good place to look.
Hint hint, nudge, nudge. But we're gonna get into this match.
We're gonna que it up and Emily is gonna give
her official reactions guide. You've never seen this match, correct, No, and.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
They're so young, but they still look the same. It's
so bizarre to me, like neither man has really aged no,
and they've.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Been doing this for a while. And without further U zoo,
let's go ahead and hit up the Q. So if
you're watching with us, we're starting right at the beginning
of the match. So here we go. So as they
do the little promo package cheer, I'll give you a
quick little background. So Kenny Omega, now the leader of
(02:28):
the Bullet Club, after kicking out aj Styles who went
to WW won the g One, became the first non
Japanese wrestler to win the g One, and he decided
to call out the big Dog of aw I mean,
excuse me of New Japan. The big Dog Okata who
is the Ace won the championship at Dominion in twenty
sixteen and now at Wrestle Kingdom eleven, which is the
(02:50):
WrestleMania of New Japan, the rain Maker was taking on
the cleaner Kenny Omega, putting it all the one. Kenny
wants to prove he belongs. He wants to prove that
he's no longer just super junior, that he's ready for
the heavyweight division. Okada wants to prove that he's the best.
You know, he had had that belt, like I said,
since June twenty sixteen, so he's going to his first
(03:11):
full year's offense. He wants to prove that he is
the ace, he is the top dog. He's beaten all
the Bullet Club members. So it just it led up
to cass because you have Kenny who's trying to prove himself.
And the reason why I say chaos is obviously Okada
was the leader of Chaos, but I do like their
video packages here at list a shub title that helps
(03:31):
out he's burning his money. So they're basically talking about
Kenny's rise to the top. Because in twenty ten, Kenny
(03:54):
Omega kind of came New Japan, but he's still a
DT so it took him a few years to really
come full time to New Japan and when he did,
he was in the super Juniors making his name for himself.
But he wanted more, and he found the Bullet Club,
a group of outsiders, and he was able to kind
of rise up through the ranks. And after aj Styles
was gone and after the Elite formed and his old
(04:14):
partner of Bushi really kind of gave him the motivation
to be his best and he needed the challenge the best,
which was Okada. And I like that says they're changing
wrestling future because how fitting, how fitting that eight years
ago they were talking about changing wrestling future and now
they really did. Look at the domino effect of this.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Match, Kenny Omega has really elevated without even being a
voice of it, so many different levels within aew to
give us what we are seeing now. When you think
about it, if it wasn't for Kenny and Jericho, we
(04:58):
wouldn't have aw If it wasn't for this feud, we
wouldn't have probably gotten that Kenny.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, not sure. Hello, Hello.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Sean, how are you?
Speaker 1 (05:17):
And now we go to the entrances which you're gonna
want to pay special attention. Yes, as the Tokyo Dome
iconic beautiful like one of my favorite aesthetics in wrestling
is the Tokyo Dome. And no I'm not Dave Melzer.
Hello everyone watching, If you new, make sure you're subbing
to the channel or following us along the Terminator gimmick.
(05:43):
This is real time, folks. She's never seen this entrance
or anything. I love it.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Wait is this where the gear came from?
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Just keep watching, He'd never did it before. Just keep watching.
This match is not today. This is from twenty seventeen
Wrestle Kingdom. At eleven we were watching on New Japan Worlds.
So Kenny is a big Terminator fan, so he's recreating
(06:09):
the Terminator one entrance where Arnold Swarzenegger goes back in
time and encounter some thugs, and how he has done
the same, but Kenny's arrived in Japan as the new Terminator.
Even down to your clothes, give them to me. Appreciate
the share, Gary, Thank you so much. Now the acting
(06:39):
is obviously never going to be on point, but it
was still like seeing this at three am. I remember
being so excited. Yes, I stayed up till three am
to watch this originally.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Well, so far this is better than the other Terminator.
Give like I've seen.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Shots fired, the lightning crack gun.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Fact, that was the first live WrestleMania I ever watched.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
Uh, thurbin door is gonna be awesome, have so much fun.
Cannon is gonna be rocking. Oh, I was already dropping
just on the gear. Gary, this is a.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Gear I've seen over and over again, but never knew
the relevancy too. So that's exciting.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
I agree. So far away, too far away, the swagger,
just him walking out with the half terminator mask, the
leather jacket, the leather pants, the shotgun. This is why
(07:58):
I was such a fan of Kenny, Like probably about
a year or two before this match, I was like,
let's get special, Like this is who I'm gonna like
be a stan of And I'm glad I've made the
right choice, pointing the shotgun out, doing his signature taunt
just so badass. You got bullet Club with him. And
(08:26):
this was a huge deal because as Kenny was rising
through the ranks in New Japan, this was inevitable. That's
why I called the episode Everybody's like, they need to
get together, they need to fight. Yeah, that's a shame
that trying to go to Paris for it and we
should shouldn't be on affordable. I agree. One day I'm
(08:46):
gonna convince her. I don't care if we have to
do Melowton and Gummies or something Gari sleeping Plane. I'd
love to go see a wrestling kingdom in Japan, like
it's goals to see wrestling around the world.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
Oh, they just had that new shop open downtown. Wait
to go check that out.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
This is one of my favorite Okada entrances. Toot New.
Japan has some of the best interests in wrestling, and
I don't think a lot of people realize. Especially at
Wrestle Kingdom, they go all out. It's some of the
best things. Just Japan loves the aesthetic and just you
(09:26):
can hear the crowd roaring just for right now video graphics,
it looks like the.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Lord of the Rings. I so touck youm It just
looks like the Lord of the Rings.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Eyeball. That's terrifying, awesome.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
The coin drop, it is an eyeball.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
It would right, Jeff, It would be amazing to see
a Wrestle Kingdom live the iconic music for Okada.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Once we hit our goal of London, there's only one
more stop.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
In Australia and Mexico. We want to be like Joe
Henry go around the world and see.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
Wrestling would actually show up.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
True. One of my favorite Ocatta jackets, who's such a
gorgeous jacket, the gold, the Red. Someone from Chaos, I believe.
I can't remember his name off the top of my head,
but he was the leader of Chaos. That's his stable.
That's Cruiser re Union. In the comments, Sean and Jeff,
(10:33):
that's right, we held that table down, boys, we held
that table.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Down every year. Jeff and Rachel location.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
We gotta come up with a nickname for our Sean
that's gonna be on YouTube. We gotta come up with
a nickname for our little crew over there with everyone,
the corner Crew or something cool, not that lame.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Obviously, the corner Crew, Rachel, what are we doing?
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Look at all the glitz and the glamor. And this
is why I like when people say Aura and wrestling.
Okada in New Japan is Aura like he is New
Japan to me. That's why I think New Japan will
have a hard time taking a few years gonna get
back because Okada was the biggest deal for a long
(11:18):
time and Omega going against Okada again. This is a
big deal, Like they didn't square off, and this first
time you're gonna do it. A wrestle kingdom for the
biggest prize in New Japan. The IBGP title. Why not
the new Catch Republic? Yeah, the oc.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
OH Cruise Control I like that.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
The oc corner is definitely good. I do enjoy that.
Control is great. All the money raining down the rain,
I really.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Like that aesthetic of the entrance having that.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
And I'm gonna be impartial, but the best version of
the g P A version for this title here with
all the name plates. This version I like a lot
better than you know, the newer butterfly belt looking one.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I appreciate the name plate aspect of that. I think
it's really cool. Yeah, I think that that's something that
needs to be brought back, almost show a lineage.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
I definitely, I definitely enjoy the Stanley Cup unimpressed. Oh
that's just that's he's stoic. He's stoic. I like it.
You're just holding the money, Like is this he's always
crumpling it up. He's crumpling it up, threw it at him.
(12:51):
It is no bueno shan. I agree, all right, here
we go. He's like, all right, just ring it professional,
and look how excited this crowd is. They haven't even
like locked up yet. And it's it's funny too because
(13:20):
the commentary is kind of pointing out that, you know,
people will enjoy the Japanese commentary. If I've seen the match,
I'll definitely watch the Japanese commentary. I know I don't
understand the words, but the emotion they put behind it
is something else. But this is when Kevin Kelly was good,
not in total nutcase, so allegedly total nutcase.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I had a relative learn English through watching Sesame Street,
and I was thinking, if there was something I had
to watch to learn how to do English, it would
be wrestling commentary.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Maybe what's how Kevin Owens learned. That's how Kevin Owens
went in English. He ended up.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
He shouldn't.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Yeah, he ended up learning it from watching raw. So
I can only imagine if I got in trouble at school,
We're saying I got two words for you and doing
the old cross shop and saying suck it. I'm sure
Kevin oh had said worse things. Yeah, and this is
obviously too like now the elite, like is the subgroup
(14:24):
of New Chance. Last Way, he's got the Elite on
the leather.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
But I really like the.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Kick pads some of my favorite Kenny gear, Like this
is like vintage can this is.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Like he didn't know where this came from. I've idolized
with here for.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
So long because you haven't seen the match. Now you
finally get to see it. And again, Kenny Omega winning
the g One, his first entry into the g One,
his first victory. Like that in itself made the way.
It's the first guys in the first foreigner to win
the g One. And again he's main eventing Wressell Kingdom.
(15:01):
So the ultimate Foreigner is now the leader of the
Bullet Club, which is a group of foreigners won the
g One, is going against the best in Japan. Like
Okada had a lot to lose. Okada didn't just lose
the title, he was losing the match itself. He didn't
he can't. He didn't want to like not be the
(15:22):
face of New Japan. Yeah, definitely. It was a lot
of a lot of a face for a lot of
us that we never quite grew out of. It's not
like we have a whole joint collection behind us.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I grew into it, and.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
That's why this is good. You get to discover what
made you, got to discover what made me such a
deep fan of this. Yes, this is this. This is
the wrestling that pulled me away from w B. I
won't lie the version, Yeah, exactly, that up there with
the World's Yeah if it's the best version. And it's
just it's so beautiful. I remember seeing the White Intercontinental
(16:05):
on the belt when Jericho had it on the first cruise.
We weren't on it, but I saw pictures of it,
and I'm like, oh, it's such a gorgeous belt. And
again Kenny Omega and Jericho locking up, so like, it's
just it's great to go back and rewatch this. And
I really hope that if people haven't seen this match,
they do because the storytelling in this ring is something else,
(16:27):
and I won't get too far ahead of the storytelling,
and the selling in this match is phenomenal. The cockiness
of a mega already one hundred percent. Once you discover wrestling,
you are exactly you are a lifer. You're not wrong
on that, Sean. Make sure you're giving parma given Shanna
(16:50):
followed there. Make sure you're subbing his channels as well.
After you subdo ours, sub to both, give some cruise,
to some love, always create a good content.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
You know what's funny is that we have relatives that
reach out to us, our brothers, and they send us
wrestling videos randomly, very grandom, and I just love it.
I have coworkers that will send me some like I
just like, I don't care if it's new old, the
fact that you thought of me and decided to send
me that and want to talk about it with me,
(17:20):
especially me being like a female. I just love that
workers over wrestling like we have work crews.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
I don't know, Like, see look at the cocky. He's
just you got nothing, I got nothing. Work in his arm.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
The IWC can be pretty toxic, but I think we've
created a pretty good area.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
I agree. Work in the body, work in the arms.
I love the old school innes of it. Just the
intendity starts to pick up, but they're still working the
arms and shoulders. They're so manipulating those joints. Well, I
know your channel is nothing, Sean, but hey, subs are subs, right,
(18:05):
It's not nothing. It's still something you put out there. Still,
he went for a chop and faked him out. See
Okada has always had that humor. Everybody thinks that, oh
he came to am, he became a joke. He's always
had that style, like and then he slaps rickishand that
he's always been like that. He's always been arrogant. It's
(18:27):
like anything else. You can't watch five seconds of clipp
and understanding character. This is another way these two men
were elevated beyond just Newspath this match. You had Stone Cold,
Steve Aouston talking about this match, Chris Jericho, Nick Foley,
everyone was tweeting about this match after it happened. It
was at three in the fucking morning for the US.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
See Will versus Kenny. If it wasn't for this, no, that.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Would have always happened. That's true. Opinion City Podcast subscribed
to them. Go check them out. Gotta do a crossover
episodes sometime. Sewan gotta get a little pissed off.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
I don't know if you're opinionated enough for that.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
I'm too opinionated. The one thing that always I want
I don't want to say weirds, but the one thing
that always kind of makes me is how close to
guard wheels are to the ring at Nujapan, even when
they do the new Japan America STAPs.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
I do like their turn buckles though.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Like the boxing style pads. Yeah, you see the elite.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
I don't know why there's a difference. If someone does,
that'd be fun to known.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Work and Kenny working full here. It's just Japanese style.
I just like it because there, instead of using a pad,
they use one big pads to the individual covers to cover,
so they still got the hooks, but it's one big pad.
Just aesthetics.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
I like it. Imagine that sponsors WW could put on those.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Exactly. If you have opinions, you'll fit right in little
mind games here Kenny playing fullhill because you gotta remember
he's playing full heel here because he's the outsider. He's
trying to come in and take the biggest prize. And
if you think about it in terms of k fave,
it's disrespectful, like the foreigner's gonna come take the top
prize in mu Japan. Oof. That was a stiff drop
(20:32):
kick right there. Thanks everyone was watching it for watching
with us, let us know not keep tad. I'm keeping
on the comments. She's gonna be glued to this more
than I I've seen it. I'm still watching it on too.
But Wrestle Kingdom eleven.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Yes, he looks a lot younger there. That's funny.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Yeah, all the Kenny's basically New Japan's all about factions
and having friends. Oof. I was gonna say, Kevin Kelly
just got covered in water, but he's not afraid to
take it to, you know, to the outside. They're not
(21:13):
afraid to like use the barricades, use the environment. Oh
mm hmmmm hmm. Some of the spots they took in
(21:35):
this match is crazy.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
So the guard rails are pretty close, but now it's
like cracked open.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Had they got shoved open. They haven't fixed him yet.
Their poor commentators got that was taken.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Out, and the box like really young. It's just funny,
like Ken you know years ago. Oh the little baby tables,
they look like they're thicker though.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
I don't know, I feel like these are like Conic
tables at this point. I fink it's because it's like
half the regular table. Oof.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
They just look thick.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
They definitely do. Oh clear people by the way, Oh
counter into the crowd. Oof. Oh.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
Actually they have a lot of room between the barricade
and the next barricade.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
It's because it's all production and entine ramps. That's why,
oh oh oof, Like the rest they.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Took it crawled after like when a cat scared or
kind of just like crawled like that. See the cat.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
I'll tell he's getting out of it smart.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
It is smart. It's just amazing.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Lot. He's got the old school like that's just in
my old shirt. That love that the Bone Soldier, he
had the best Bullet Club share him and Green Arrow,
I think are some of the best. Cody's even Cody's
original American Nightmare one was pretty sick.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Let's be honest. All of the Bullet Club attire is phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
I mean, you stole on my shirts, So what do
you thought initial stots so far. I now we're only
a few minutes, only probably ten minutes into the mattress,
so but.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
I can't believe it's only been ten minutes. There NonStop offense,
defense like insanity, like they haven't given each other a break.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Their mannerisms are just I just I think that's why
when people start saying, oh, kind of only does this
because he's always had that, like the facial reactions in
the ring, and he's always had the arrogance. He's able
to tell a story with his face. That's one thing
I've always liked about him. He's he's he is the
complete package. I don't speak Japanese, but from everything I've read,
(24:20):
his promos have always been fired. His promos have always
been killing in the story. He's a great seller.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
I mean, he knows one of my favorite words in English.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
That's okay, what bitch, I'm so sorry I hit the
wrong button. Bitch someone needs to do maybe I should do.
And the I'm a bitch, Sha'm a lover song, and
just every and every bit should just be him or
any song with bitch. Just replace his clip like he
(24:52):
said of crazy bitch, put him in there like you
could do so many.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Oh wait, you do.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Just wearing each other down too. You know they've been
taken all body shots. They've been working the legs, in
the arms. Now Kenny's working his knees. But I mean,
think about Okada's big weapon. Besides his office. His big
weapon is the rain maker. That clothesline.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
That was like radio silence, It's.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Not even close. Don't please don't insult Kenny that way.
Don't insult Kenny with radio silence.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
It was different.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
That's like the old Shania Twain Joe. She looked like
Shannai or Twain, but her face was different.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Gold layer of the cable got get her done.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
And he's working. He's working, heel tacked. He's gonna rub
his shoe into his face. See they're just now getting
to the chops. Like after everything, now they're getting into
the chops. So this is strong style. This is what
(26:21):
I love about Japan. It's just they're not just slapping
their thought to make that sound. There's a lot of
bone hitting flesh there. There's a lot of slapping the
other person like they work stiff in Japan. I mean,
Jada even told us Jonathan Life's told me before. It's
the style they want to work. And both men are
(26:42):
crazy good at strong style, and the fact that they
have this endurance is wild. Just working his back and
CAUs a tall man and he's been wrestling for probably
close to twenty years, so gonna work on his back.
He knows that's his biggest weakness. I also love that
(27:05):
Red Shoes is the referee because I feel like he's
the only referee that I like remember because of his shoes,
the only one I know of. Well, that's what I'm saying,
Like it's iconic because even who's that forbidden door? He
got a red shoes chant.
Speaker 2 (27:19):
I hope he's back.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
Appreciate everyone again, you know, watching along, make sure you're
the following us, give us like subscribe comment below or
we can uh watch this with us.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
The amount of times they've hit their throat off the
top rope though.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Drive his knee. Here we go. Now you got o
Mega starting to pick up some steam here, nice counter beautiful.
(28:00):
You know everyone always wants to say that, oh Omega
spot fat spot, but when you watch him, that's the
spot still do make sense and you can argue New
Japan Verse aw all day. But I mean Kenny still
wrestles the same in a good way. He still knows
the formula to his song. But hold on what this marity?
(28:29):
Love it? I think I marked out more love it.
That's the iconic shot for him flipping over the ropes.
Going to Ring of Honor twenty eighteen are seeing Omega
and Cody and getting to do the terminator chops with
the crowd, like getting oh, listen, you guys can be
happy to yeat. I'm not judging that at all. I
(28:50):
get it. Me doing the terminator bump bump, bump up Ah.
It was so cool to be a part of it. Yeah,
the Bucks saying they want you to win the watch
you when they're not they're cheering Okada.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
Sorry it's freezing in here.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Check out cruise merch. But the fact that he just
cleared that top rope with a like flipping sent on
with that out even Hitten, it's just his athleticism. But
again focusing on that lower back of Okada.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Do you like the referee shirt how it has like
the paper view on the back. Insecurity has it on
them as well. It's very like independent style, Like don't
say that, No, I'm saying the people around wearing the clothes.
I like it.
Speaker 1 (29:46):
Oof right in the back of the head dropkick, I
would say it's wrestling. W WANTA has gone away from
but the people used to always wear event shirts. That
was always That's been a big thing in wrestling for years.
I know, like the old school Cara men used to
wear like jumpsuits with WF logos and WF aw They
used to have the event shirts too, but they change
(30:09):
them the plain black because I think for US television
they just want them to kind of blend in New Japan.
I kind of like these that I agree with the
or it shows. But it's a very busy, busy production
because there's a lot of media because it's not just
one group covering it, Like a lot of Japanese media
come in from across the country to cover this. It's
wrestling is very big in Japan, not that you don't
(30:30):
know that, but it's so like people will travel hours
by train just to see one match Atresol Kingdom, which
is wild. I mean, think about forty plus years of history.
You have God, you have all the people who've you know,
been in that squared circle and like like we were
talking about the nameplates, o there, all the legends you've
(30:51):
gone through there and now you have these two legends
you've gone through. Like the ten bucks a month for
New Japan is worth it alone just to rewatch some
of these classics. And again and you've never got to.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
See this, Like did they have like a hard per
match or something before this? Nocas covered and glittered. I
didn't know if it was black.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
No, it's just from the entrance, all the stuff that
comes from the sky. They use a lot of it's
a lot of pomp and circumstances. And yeah, I know
there was a few matches before where I'm sure there
are streamers and stuff thrown, so I'm sure that's probably
about the confetti's sparkly or he or it could have
been his jacket. All the stuff came off his jacket.
(31:34):
I do like his gear here more than I wish
you kind of go back to the shiny gear because
it really suits him, like the metallicky looking gear.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Kind of show body, which I like obviously his.
Speaker 1 (31:46):
Whole personality or show bony pitch. Look at that is
shit eating gred.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
He is very expressive.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Steve Careno, do you know who whose dad that is.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
Coolby yes, I was gonna say.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
So ECW legend, Steve Corino and Kevin which is cool.
So even history that you have Steve Creno legend, ECW,
Kevin Kelly, who was a known WFWB commentator, So it's
cool that you know they're on the call too, and
you know now Veda Scott gets the call in New Japans.
It's really cool to see who they bring in for commentators,
and it really does help because you have Steve Creno
(32:35):
who's very knowledgeable about the action of the ring. And
Kevin Kelly is just I won't say future, but back
then he was he was good. I don't know what happened,
that's between him and whatever. But I missed vintage Kevin
Kelly because he was really good at New Japan Commentary
(33:03):
to watch for later. Oof Flapjack incredible reversal. It's like
a twisting STF. Like you don't even know the name
of the move. I don't even know what it is.
(33:24):
It's basically like a STF, but he stepped into it
instead of went backwards. Like That's how creative Okada was.
He could put you in a submission that you didn't like,
you didn't see coming. I mean, he just he would
manipulate all your joints. He's very technical. Him and Zach
(33:46):
Saber Junior are like some of my favorite Like just
the way they manipulate and just wrap you up because
you get your shoulder bent the wrong way, you're gonna
you're gonna get hurt. It's just the way they do it.
It's believable and I've always liked it. The exhaustion.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
That might feel like the only time they've not moved
that much, but still they're intertwined.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Again, I can't imagine the cardio these two have, like
how Kevin Kelly says his nerves are high level, yet
he's not the one in the ring. But it shows
you the atmosphere. And again, you know, they're not known
for having the most rauckeous crowd, but when these crowd
gets loud, that shit, they appreciate it because Japanese crowds
(34:34):
are very respectful. But everyone thinks that they're quiet, and
that's because the pandemic. They weren't allowed to cheer and
hoot and holler because there's a pandemic going right on
his head. But this is the Japanese crowd. They do
get hyped, they do get energy. So watch some of
the old UGBA if you don't think the crowds are passionate.
They feed off the crowd. This match especially, you can
(34:55):
really hear the crowd get louder throughout the match. As
I say it. Now, obviously we know that it's been
eight years, so both may maybe don't go as fast
as the same level. But I don't like how people
have said they don't wrestle the same pace or now
(35:16):
you've seen new Okada. What do you think so seeing
him now versus this so.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Far, I like it a lot. Something I was actually
just gonna mention is one of the reasons I enjoyed
the Licha door style of wrestling is because I enjoy
the fast paced rhythm of it. You know, like they're
non stop, They're constantly having something going on. And this
is incredible to me because I'm seeing strong and technical
(35:43):
style mixed with a little bit of the aerial.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Ooh over the barricade and it's.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Still they haven't really stopped, Like right now, Okada's on
the ground recovering for a minute, but Kenny's about to
come out to him that It's like he's about to
say good night.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
I know he's calling for something. What's he called for?
Speaker 2 (36:09):
The crowd?
Speaker 1 (36:12):
He's got that crazy look in his eye. He's getting
the buck. He's calling for the bucks. They're holding the
guardrail for him. Is he gotta make that from the
ring to the guardrail. He's hyping himself up, fucking insane.
Speaker 2 (36:33):
Into the like cords and boxes, well the presses basically
yeah out.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
So he basically jumps up, turns himself around and does
a mood salt from the fucking turnbuckle over the barricade
into the crowd. There is no room for air on that.
That's probably some of my favorite young Buckskier two.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
By the way, Yes, I feel like that's icon the gear.
It's a zebra print. No, he's okay, I thought it
was a zebra.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Okada looks a little uh, a little tired exhausted, which
obviously I can't blame the guy. Kenny's the one who's
having some quality. It's two.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Oh No, they're trying to fix the equipment.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Yeah, the some of the commentators, like the mic boxes
got broken.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
There goes.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
He shunned. He doesn't want to get counted out though,
because he doesn't get the title.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
Oh, there's still a table out, but it's not put
up yet.
Speaker 1 (37:41):
Oh. He just took out the more worker. But I
mean they've already gone to war and like they're all
over the ring outside the ring. Okada's trying to get
back in there. He doesn't want to lose my count out.
Kenny just took the table and put it on the
baby table as you call. It only made one little hole.
(38:05):
You ain kind about being thick.
Speaker 2 (38:07):
Yeah, no, he stuck his whole foot through that and
just cracks too, not to mention that.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
They're double stopped, but only one foot broken. He put
both feet. He stamped that down.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
The fact that he jumps onto that legs down that metal.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Look at look at Matt Jackson. He's sticking his tongue
out like a little punk.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Like that's the Sammy face.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
I feel like like hel one on one stick your
tongue out, look like a cocky asshole. So yeah, champions
definitely at disadvantage. I think o'catta's not looking good. Oh,
power bomb people bridge the power bomb this much anymore?
(39:01):
I like that. It's very old school. You where you
after you do the power bomb, you hold on and
you bridge the legs. It's you know, you're really you're
putting all their weight and your weight on their shoulders.
So in kfabe, you're kind of like pushing their shoulders
down with more force.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
She's trying to pick Acada up.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
Oh my god, look at that deadlifted him. Kenny's a
lot strong and that people give him credit for. H Yeah,
but deadlift into a sit down power bomb, well sit out? Sorry,
excuse me? Can you throw a tantrum?
Speaker 2 (39:42):
There's so many people there.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Yeah, let me look up. I'll look up what the
tendance was for you out of curiosity, because it was
definitely a lot not that we care about intended to
be you know what I mean? Oh they snap the
other skinny little table.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
No, I'm just curious how many people are able to go,
how many tickets are available, you know, like when this
kind of a show comes around, what are the odds
of our.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
Twenty six So, I mean that makes sense, like thirty
thousand Toyoto, like twenty five to thirty thousand makes sense
for Tokyo do them, which.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
There'd be enough tickets to travel, it'd be worth it.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
If there's demanding, I'm sure they will been. Tokyo Doo
is huge. It's hard to see because like New Japan
doesn't really like the crowd. They always kind of like
the roach I get. I mean you're not trying to
like you're trying to show the aesthetic of the crowd,
the stage, the venue.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
No, it's a very pretty venue, especially the outside.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
Of all like the LEDs. Thanks everyone who's joined in
watching along with us. Make sure you like, follow, subscribe,
leave some comments. If you're watching, we're watching on New
Japan World. But you can also google the match. It's
it's out there. We probably almost halfway through. I don't
want to interrupt it, but it's been good so far.
Both men have put it all on the line, and
Kenny really shows why he's the best bout machine. Nakada
(41:08):
shows why he was the best. He was like the
goat of New Japan. Both men are just so fucking
hard hitting and technical and just the energy and the
crowd is really going for Ocada because he's he's fading
here fast and the crowd's behind him. And I know
a lot of non wrestling fans who watched this match
(41:30):
and who are basically like, what the hell did I watch?
That's not what we watched growing up. And this is
my point, like this wasn't something you were seeing in
twenty sixteen twenty seventeen. W weren't seeing this twenty sixteen
twenty seventeen tna AW didn't exist. Ring of Honor. You
were seeing its because they were going back and forth.
So Ring of Honor in New Japan, in my opinion,
(41:51):
like twenty fifteen to twenty nineteen, we're putting on some
of the best shows that people weren't really.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Watching, Like we're not seeing f VI. We're not seeing
as he lifted up on his shoulders.
Speaker 1 (42:03):
Well, that's just a Phishent fireman's carry.
Speaker 2 (42:06):
We're not seeing like just a punch fest. I guess
like we're seeing a different Yeah, like a genuine hard hit, NonStop.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
Yeah, like you said earlier, the strong style, the technical,
the new era everything and the Japanese though, And what
I liked is who looks back from the looks back
from the outside, Well, and you will. I like it
because I'm not saying there's not one there's no there's
not one right way. Wrestling is not a monolith. There's
not run right way yet, right, And I like that
(42:39):
this kind of exposed people to a different style. And
I didn't really start watching New Japan I'll be honest
until about twenty fourteen because I was told I need
to check it out, and I saw aj styles and
a young Thin Dollar and then I got to see
Kenny Omega. So it's like I went from Ergo Debit
to Adrian styles right love, but that is what brought
(43:00):
me and Kenny Omega's well got me to stay, what's up, Jamal,
No watch, We'll appreciate you stopping in and say, Hi, you
got You'll have to rewatch this one again. Man, if
you haven't seen it, it's such a great match. But yeah,
like I I was more of a lapse fan, you know,
(43:23):
but this brought me in. I said, for three in
the morning right there, Yeah, that's when that bucks were
sitting up earlier. But I remember I had to go
to work the next day and I had to work
at seven in the morning. I had no sleep, and
my manager at the branch was just like are you good?
And I was like, I stayed up to watch wrestling.
(43:43):
They're like why, And it was like because it was spectacular.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
I say that many days.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Right, Like how you have to how you have to
work at like four thirty five in the morning and
watch Pavie. That's how it was, So you get it,
you experienced.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
Appreciate the guys that will talk to me about it.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
The next day, he got out the one wing an
Angel by going over backwards of the rope. I haven't
seen that before. Plus watching this too, maybe we'll see
some callbacks at all. In That's why I wanted to
see this, because maybe I'll see some callbacks oof crack,
because you know for a fact that they're going to
take some of their best hits and work it into
(44:22):
their ma's what wrestlers do. Like, I'm sure we'll see
a double stump on a table or something. Oh those chops,
Oh my god, Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (44:37):
He definitely impacted the table that time.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
He shattered him and his ass.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Oh built like a door.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
So he ran out and Okada flipped him over his head.
He went over the top rope and threw the table outside.
Holy shit, I forgot about that spot.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Dang, he wore like a pool inflatable.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
That's how crazy these matches are. When that's the spot
I forget. And I don't say forget, but like, oh
my god, now I remember.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
I thought the will Ostprey Kenny table spot was good.
That might be that it literally looked like he was
inside a pool inflatable going down the Lizzie River.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
The bucks are checking on him, making sure he's good.
Oh wild, it's just to literally just get flipped like
a flapjack over the top rope through a table. Thankfully
they do have some thick padding, but still, that's probably
only a three inch thick pad going through a three
inch table.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
And hit off that little.
Speaker 1 (45:45):
Off the lip.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Yeah, Yeah, it's like a couple inches of a lip.
Speaker 1 (45:51):
That was just a crazy spot. I guess that's that's hard,
is how how much they've done. This matches. I'm like, oh,
shock gun, drop pick out. I like the random Nirvana
shirt in the crowd. That's amazing. One of the crew
workers has a Nirvana shirt. It's not something you think
(46:11):
you'd see in Japan in twenty seventeen. No, wacatas fucking pissed, like,
why did that work? Bitch? Oh? Is he getting ready
for it?
Speaker 2 (46:26):
He says that walt on his arm.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
Oh no, he's going to the top rope. He ain't
get ready for rain Maker. He's getting ready to cost
him pain elbow dromp Oh, just like this past Wednesday,
died of my elbow, drops the gut rain Maker. Here
(46:51):
we go. He gonna he's gonna hit him with the rainmaker.
What's gonna happen?
Speaker 2 (46:57):
Take it too long?
Speaker 1 (47:00):
Both men are just you beat Kevin Kelly to that one.
But yeah, that cut is gnarly on his back. As
he were talking about once again, thanks everyone for joining us.
We're watching Kenny Omega our Socada Russell Kingdom eleven, twenty seventeen,
on New Japan World. Make sure you're liking and following, subscribing,
drop a comment, say hello, he's still sent for that Rainmaker. Absolutely, Jamal,
(47:29):
that's why we're watching to see this live. Jamal has
seen many great keny Omega matches live. I am jealous
of that. But oh he ducks the rain Maker, pushing
him into the corner. You knew what was coming. He
had him scouted.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
That's just it too. These guys know each other so
well by the like this year he's well.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
So they talked about like they studied. I mean, you
had Alkada who was known for going with through New Japan,
tearing up the g One when multiple g Ones dominant champion,
beating the best of the best. He basically single handedly
beat everyone in the Bullet club. So they knew Okada well.
And you have Kenny Omega, who was very intelligent and
(48:13):
showed that daring that he would study his opponent. He
would know your weakness, like he would know your weakness.
But he's going to the top of him. Like what
else are they gonna like? I mean, I know what
they're gonna do, but like, what else are they gonna do?
Speaker 2 (48:31):
Like amount of reversals is also really crazy.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
And you still got three more matches after this plus all. Like,
that's why I wanted to because I think this will
really should ingratiate you to like, like you said, the
Universals definitely keep an eye up because they know each
other way too well, especially as they wrestling more. Look
(49:06):
at this, he's he gonna dragon souplex off the top rope.
That quick snap dragon he does. He just did it
off the top rope. I remember that spot.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
Very lazy pin, but they're exhausted. It could have worked.
He got a to count with it.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
As Joey Styles would say, you gotta look that one.
You gotta really you gotta roll that leg got pinned,
that shoulder down. You got his chaos stablement. I haven't
stuped in on his face, but I haven't got a
chance yet him yet. They're trying to get Okada going.
(49:54):
You have the Bucks yelling at Kenny out there. You
know the Bolt Club wants to take the champion home.
Just dropped it right in the back of his head
on his knee again. I like that he like twists
his legs up every time he does it, though it
was always my favorite. It's like aesthetically pleasing to see.
Speaker 2 (50:18):
I agree, and I think.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
That's why I've always enjoyed Kenny and Okada is the
way they wrestle is it's not always about making the
moves look like the most dangerous, the most painful. Sometimes
it's like visually, how does it look? And like the
little things counted the B trigger into a back supplex
German suplex.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
It's almost timeless as well, like this kind of a
match still is great to watch now as it was then.
And if we had seen this kind of a style
ten years earlier.
Speaker 1 (50:52):
Ray Maker ducks the trigger. Look how excited Matt Nicka, Oh,
here we go another B trigger dropkick.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
I feel as though if I had seen these matches earlier,
I would have watched more wrestling in like my early twenties.
But with someone I didn't have cable, it wasn't very
easy to watch even if I had.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
Yeah, this was this was hard. I bought New Japan
World for again. AJ brought me to the dance. Kenny
Omegan kept me like, that's that's me and I can
admit that Frankenstana Yes, Emily said timeless. Oh, just the
(51:52):
fact that they've gone this long and the intensity is
just picking up even more. Is like, it's just so
impressive to me.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
Oh, and the crowd is just getting louder and louder.
Speaker 1 (52:02):
It's not like they're over like a roller coaster. One
winged Angel. Boh, what a counter and then he went
for a cutter he got caught into a tombstone. See
(52:28):
it starts off at one pace and you think this
is the piece of the match, and then it just
it goes up rain maker. No Oh, Emily's genuinely.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
Shocked because Okada didn't get much offense off the last
like ten to twenty minutes, so to see him get.
Speaker 1 (52:55):
That toombs soon to a rain maker and not enough,
Like how disappointed?
Speaker 2 (53:04):
Countering that one when Angel really propelled that for him?
Speaker 1 (53:07):
That was a great yad. That was an awesome segment.
The count, the front flip into the every there was
just a beautiful sequence right there. And then you have
the catching the cutter into a tombstone. Like why there
some of the best in the world. I feel like
(53:30):
comment heres always say that whenever, whether it's either a
botch or whenever the move doesn't look as painful, they
didn't quite get all of it. Why are we saying
that I hate that they didn't quite get all of it, Like,
what does that even mean?
Speaker 2 (53:43):
That's what she said.
Speaker 1 (53:48):
We have the little copyright logo there. I just noticed
it popped up on the and that's why we can't
show you the video clip unfortunately. So those who are
just tuning in and watching, we are Russell Kingdom twenty seventeen,
keny Omega versus O Kata on New Japan World Watch
along make sure you like phone and subscribe here reacting.
(54:09):
This is Emily's first time seeing the match, and I
think she's already kind of mind blown.
Speaker 2 (54:13):
Yeah, and then you just have Kenny, like the way
he got up was because he was punching Okada in
like the belly button.
Speaker 1 (54:20):
Another shotgun drop kick into the corner. The crowd is
legitimately stunned too. That's the perfect time to show the
crowd like the Bucks saying he can't beat you. I mean,
I don't think and correct me if I'm wrong. Chat,
I don't think up to this point there was anyone
who really pushed Ocada to these limits. And they think
that's the other that's the other dynamic of this match
(54:44):
is Okada didn't really have that challenger that pushed him
to these limits, that really took him to the break.
And now he realizes this fucking outsider is not taking
my title and he's pushing through his limits. I think
that's part of his downfall. I love this part of
the story of the matches. Key's like, I'll fucking show
you and out reverses his tombstone to his own double
underhook tombstone. Just the subtle storytelling in the match is
(55:07):
what draws me in, you know. I always look at
as a story should a story should be in front
and the match should drive. A story should help propel it,
and telling it inside their relations is beat because we
don't need to speak Japanese to know what they're telling
in their right and that's what makes it kind of
(55:28):
like relatable. And I think that's a lot of fear
people have watching in Japan as well. I don't speak Japanese. Well,
they have English commentary, and with especially nowadays, with articles
written up about the story, if you don't understand what
they're saying the feud, they put subtitles and people will
translate it for your articles and you can go back.
Like Emily watched The History of the Bullet Club on
YouTube years ago, as famously told, so, I mean she
(55:51):
probably heard about this match through that, but now seeing it,
I think she sees the importance of Bullet Club.
Speaker 2 (55:58):
Sorry, Cat's bothering us just needs attention. Perfectly put, this
is pro wrestling.
Speaker 1 (56:09):
Look at this. Look at this camera angle, just basically
going from one crowd to the other. That was a
great camera shot.
Speaker 2 (56:13):
Especially for the like time that it was shot at.
We didn't start getting camera angles like that until very
recently they did.
Speaker 1 (56:21):
I mean they just wanted a popularized but had New
Japan has some of the best camera work that will
Osprey just brought up recently an interview to where the
steady camera shots like this is a lot of cuts
for New Japan, like just showing the shocked commentators and
like they can't believe it. But I like to continue
of shots when they're in the match, like right here
trading elbow.
Speaker 2 (56:42):
Like again this late into the maps, they've almost been another.
Speaker 1 (56:47):
Stag into the beach sugger out of nowhere. Ah too.
Speaker 2 (56:59):
He was so to the ropes. I thought he was
gonna grab a rope, but he kicked out instead. That
takes more effort.
Speaker 1 (57:06):
The amount of vach Triggers of God has eaten. This
match is insane because he's setting them up for a
woman angel. Is he gonna hit it because he hasn't
hit it yet? Well, I think, actually, sorry, he hit
it once, but he hasn't really fully connected. I've got
(57:28):
a counter into the Rainmaker house, but he didn't cover him.
He didn't cover him.
Speaker 2 (57:35):
You gotta capitalize.
Speaker 1 (57:42):
I also like one of my favorite New japan touches
that they do is they keep the match graphic up
on the entrance tramp. It's always something I've enjoyed, like
on whatever JumboTron or entrant tramp they have, whatever the
match is, that match cards up there. I don't know why.
It's silly asthetic, but I away it versus seeing nothing
(58:04):
or like a company logo, and I get but it's like,
I think it's cool use those little side screens and
do the match cards, especially with how beautiful some of
these posters are. Yeah, or use it like a television
and treat the match just look just kicking him and
need him in the head? Can you just passing? Just
tway with another Rainmaker turn him inside out?
Speaker 2 (58:29):
But still not capitalizing either one.
Speaker 1 (58:32):
They're just they're so exhausted, they're they're throwing their best shots.
Great shot, great shot of that belt. Oh god, it
troking ahead of the rain maker. Nope, Ken goes for
one of his own. Nope, another tube s don't counter, Nope,
(58:56):
another draw. How do they have this energy?
Speaker 2 (59:02):
Like?
Speaker 1 (59:02):
That's what boggles means the energy they still have and
the crowd. How does the crowd still have this energy?
He went for a rainmaker, but he did basically a
knee that was like a beautiful transition, like a jumping
knee full force. Oh here it is the woman Angel. Nope,
(59:29):
cotter into another tombstone, jumping tombstone.
Speaker 2 (59:33):
The hard hits are very, very freaking hard, so amazing.
Speaker 1 (59:38):
I've seen this match three or four times, Popsy every
time another rainmaker, and you.
Speaker 2 (59:44):
Can hear the cracking of every hit they do. I
actually thought Kenny was gonna take this.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
Nope. So Okada wins with a final rainmaker after sixty
plus minutes. Just look at the crowd. Look how ecstatic
that crowd is. So fun fact, this actually was a
(01:00:20):
forty six minute, forty five second at the time, was
a new Japan record for longest main event, longest match
Dave Meltzer would rate this match six stars, breaking his
own scale. I mean, he says he's broken that, but
six stars, it's just amazing, amazing match. So what'd you think?
(01:00:45):
Because first I'm gonna give it my own stars right here.
See if I can get it, is it gonna actually work?
It's not working. I had a little cool button if
I doesn't give us our own little stars here apparently
didn't want to work. Five.
Speaker 2 (01:01:03):
I would say five because they had every aspect that
I like, I mean, are we going to ten? What
are we doing? What's our rating scale?
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
You pick a rating scale, all.
Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
Right, one to ten? I give it a solid nine.
Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
I'm gonna be at eight and a half nine as well.
So that was the first match Russell Kingdom twenty eleven,
so before we kind of wrap up. So now it's
been a little over an hour. I know, we have
a couple people here, you have our thoughts about what
are some of your favorite moments from this match?
Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
Mine, yes, my favorite moment would be Kenny going to
the table like a pool float.
Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
I got the pool float.
Speaker 2 (01:01:49):
I would say, what two meant? There's just so many
I gotta take it in for a second.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
So now that you see it, do you understand why
maybe it got six stars and why the wrestling world
was a buzz the next day after this match?
Speaker 2 (01:02:07):
Yes, again, it was basically NonStop. The only time it
stopped was when there was going to be a count
out or it would.
Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
They never were thrown outside, just destroyed. What'd you think
of all the rainmakers and attempts and all the reversals
and them trying to get all their finishers.
Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
I enjoyed that. I think that it's cool to see
that even the best can't not get caught up in
their finishers. They might be able to kick out of them,
but that just means they're going to continuously hit them.
I think that that's kind of cool, something that I
can't say I had seen often. This style match is
(01:02:50):
definitely something I don't think I've ever seen anything like it,
aside from Kenny versus Will, but even that didn't seem
as like strong style as this seemed. It seems more
aerial versus the strong style.
Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
It was a good hybrid. It was definitely a good
hybrid match.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
And Kenny is good for that. Though. That's what I
think you in like not to put the words in
your mouth, but as like I've watched Kenny as I've
gotten more into wrestling. At first, I was like, I
don't I get why you like it, But I don't
get why I like it yet. And the more I
watch Kenny, the more I'm like because he's so versatile,
(01:03:31):
Like I'm the first to admit Danielbrian's style Brian Danielson, Like,
that's just not my style of wrestling. Can you give
me a will Osprey, give me Orange Cassidy, give me
somebody that gives me a little more. And I guess
Kenny Omega does do that more than I thought. It
just depends on who he ends up in the ring with,
who he can change his style to be more like
(01:03:55):
I can't, which is what I'm saying that, Like, for instance,
if he was going up against Brian Danielson, I know
that that's not a match I'm going to enjoy, but
I will.
Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
Like it, but it's not worth I had one of
the best matches and died in my history.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
Yes, however, it's not Emily's cup of tea, whereas like,
these kind of matches are more my cup of tea
because it.
Speaker 1 (01:04:19):
Is more I don't know, because you popped out for
that match when it happened on TV.
Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
Yeah, but I wasn't expecting to go into it liking
it because I knew it was going to be more
matt heavy. I'm not a matte heavy kind of person.
Speaker 1 (01:04:37):
And I think that's what's great is because the way
it runs, and I think you know, we'll see because
next week, for you, we're gonna be watching the second
match from Dominion twenty seventeen, where there's gonna be a
little bit more stakes on because Canny doesn't take this
last very well. So I'm not gonna spoil why in
the build up. I'll give you that introduction next week.
But join us next week we'll do another live watch
(01:04:59):
