Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada – G1 Climax 27 (2017)

Everything changes in part three.
Okada and Omega face off in the G1, but this time it’s not for the title  it’s about tournament points and proving a point. The time limit is shorter, the pace is faster, and Kenny comes in with the mindset that he has to beat Okada. It’s the first time he gets the job done, and he does it in under 30 minutes. We talk about how this match felt more explosive from the jump, how the previous two matches built the tension for this one, and what it meant for Omega to finally get that win. Emily wasn’t expecting it to go that fast or be that different from the first two, and her reaction to the quick momentum swings is gold.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
And welcome to Cruisan okayfe. I'm Mongo Emily and today
we're back with part three of our watch along this
epic five part saga. Before we begin, Emily, how are
you feeling so far with these first two matches.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I wish I knew this side of Okada sooner.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, it's been incredible to go back and rewatch these.
It's been just magic. It's been everything you want as
a wrestling fan, the pageantry, the story to recap where
we started. You know, we went to Wrestle Kingdom. You
had Okada and Omega pushed themselves to the limits and
Okada getting the victory. Kenny just trying to hit that

(01:21):
one Wing Angel but he just he couldn't hit it,
and the one Wing Angel in u Japan was super
protected at the time, so no one had kicked out
of it. Then we go to Okada Omega too and
they hit a time limit raw. Omega finally hits the
Warming Angel, but he gets his foot in the ropes
at the last minute, so he's yet to really impactfully
hit that move, but he's done everything else.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
And talk about the pageant. Try these guys like don't
miss a beat. You would think that these were, you know,
happening back to back to back. You would never know
that there is like years that are coming in between
these matches and.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Not years, it's months.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Oh is it mom? Yes, I'm paying attention.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
That's okay.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I'm here for the wrestling. So anyway, like either way
you would think that these were back to back, like
they didn't have another opponent in between. They're not stopping.
They're absolutely killing it. They're relentless. I love this again.
The actual aesthetics of this is just nice to me.
I actually enjoy the new Japan Ring very much like

(02:25):
visuals everything, like everything that they have going on, they're lighting.
I really think that the pageantry of this is amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
And what's special about where we're going now. Now we're
going to G one twenty seven. So you have Okada
who's won two g Ones in his career. You have Omega,
fresh office win last year. They're both in the B
Block final. At this point, Okada could coast to a victory,
he could have a draw and he would advance to
the finals. Omega is in a do or die. He

(02:55):
has to win this match. If he doesn't win this match,
Okada goes to the finals, so he has to win
loser draw, Okada goes to the G one finals, and
Okada is two and oh in the G one finals,
so if Okada goes to the finals, he's winning this tournament.
So Omega knows everything is on the line, everything's about
to get real. And with the G one they have

(03:15):
thirty minute time limits. So last match we watched that
Dominion in June twenty seventeen, they went to a sixty
minute draw. This is now a thirty minute match, So
you're gonna see the pace kind of ramped up here.
You're gonna see a lot more action intensity because they
don't have a limited time. They don't have sixty minutes.
They have thirty minutes or draw, and again if it's

(03:36):
a draw, Omega loses.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
So I feel as though the matches start very fast,
and they continue that pace until about forty five minutes,
and that's when it starts to get to oh, are
they gonna get counted out? Because it's like the back
and forth of like pins count out, pin count out,
which is not a bad thing. It's saying that they're

(03:59):
going hard for forty five minutes. So what is thirty
minutes going to bring us. This might be my favorite
because it's going to be so fast paced.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
And I really enjoy this because again, you know, the
lead up to it to be you know, kind of
explain what Kenny strategy has been. The first match, He's
trying to work the core. He's trying to work Ocada's back,
his belly, his legs. He was taking away his power
because at this point in o'cat's run, six months is
the champion. Well yeah, but six months is the champion.

(04:26):
Seven months is the champion. He didn't really have a
plot hole, he didn't have a hole in his arm
or sort of speak. Can he tried to find it
at Russell Kingdom, he almost found it at Dominion, and
now are at the g One? Can he find o'cada's weakness?
Can he find his kryptonite? Because o'cott has found Omega's.
So now, without further ad Zuo, we're gonna bring you

(04:51):
to the g one and if you want to fire
it up, we're gonna fire it up. In three two
one don Kallis again on commentary, which yay, right, well,
but think about it. What did Don Kallis say in
twenty twenty one make one the aw title that he
was there when Kenny had his biggest moments. He was

(05:11):
there when Kenny won. He really was. He's been a
part of this journey.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I have to say, when you're in Don's corner, it's
like pretty prevalent that he is going to be there
for you.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Hear maker.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
He is definitely like creating magic in aew at the moment.
And I hate to give that man a compliment.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
You love Don Kevis the ego.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Of his ego.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Oh I missed this theme so.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
In the comments if everything's too loud, how the sound is?

Speaker 1 (05:58):
I just And also he had won the Idea Gus title.
Is that red belt? Such a beautiful belt.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
I want to see more color in title belts again. Yeah,
everything's pretty much black or white right now, and the
whites limited.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
And I just love that. You know this is an
omega that this is a destiny match for him. This
is he lost the first match, he took you to
the limit the second time, and now Kenny's trying to
go back to back and when consecutive g one, which
would put him in the same rank as Okada. Okada

(06:34):
was the best wrestler in New Japan. Everyone said he
was the best he was the one to beat. Kenny said,
I'm the best in the fucking world that I'm gonna
show you, and this match really is a statement for Omega.
So again, if you're watching along, make sure you like
Fall and subscribe dropping the comments what you're seeing with us. Also,
stay tuned for Part four, which will be next week

(06:57):
on Thursday due to the holiday, and then part five
we're gonna be watching Live at All in twenty twenty
five from Texas, y'all in Emily is just mesmerized by
the gear and the.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
I like a bat wing.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
It's the one wing Angel. It's seper off the one.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I just like that. The skeleton of it looks like.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
A bat holywing old Mega. I love the coins going
all over the ceiling with the lights here at the
I can't pronounce the stadium to say, my life. It's
where they do a lot of the g ones. But
it's I like it because it reminds me of the
stadiums they kind of use in the US where it's closed,
roof packed to the rafters of just hardcore fans. Thank you, Don,

(07:47):
thank you for saying what I said. He said he's
never hit the one way he has hit it on
a Rainmaker. Rainmaker just kicked out with his foot on
the rope, so no one's ever kicked out at this
point of the Whoming Angel. And think about a ew,
how protected is it there? It's very When you protect
a move, it really helps.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
There's not many moves left in wrestling.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I mean, you have the Judas effects, the rain Maker,
those are pretty much the top protected ones. Moxley's chokeouts
pretty protected, but yeah, there's.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Not a lot of the Queenslayer.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Sometimes sometimes it's almost like a special thing to have
that move, but it helps the aesthetic. Like, think about
these two guys right here. You have Okata and Omega.
Both of them have moves that no one really kicks
out of. They are legitimate finishers versus some moves that
are just their moves. Their moves legitimately finished.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
The match, like the slum Dog Millionaire.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Or I mean even like a business black hole slamon
TNA or AG styles but not far beforem styles class cheese.
Hey everyone who's checking this matchup. We're at the G
one twenty seven twenty seventeen B Block Finals. We got
Omega Okada Part three. The bell's about to ring. Remember

(09:14):
the title is not on the line, it's only the
chance to go to the final and challenge for the title,
the Trinity he calls it. I like that he said,

(09:35):
the first one changed the wrestling world, the second change
in the universe. What's the third one gonna do?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Blow us away?

Speaker 1 (09:43):
And the bell rangs thede we go And like, how
fitting of New Japan management to put Ocado Omega in
the g One in the same B block because they
knew it was inevitable they faced and having it booked
where it's the finals on the line is great booking.

(10:05):
And I can see why this is called one of
the best g Ones in history. Like this g One
has gone down by many pundice is one of the
best g One tournaments, probably because it was booked beautifully.
Oh he knew that dropkick was coming. Look how quick
they both went for some signature and finishers. You thought

(10:28):
the other one started out with fast paced Look at this.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Already trying to take out his knee.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Look at that going for the one wing already.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
The last match, Okada worked Kenny or Kenny worked o'cada's legs.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Yeah, he's pretty much worked the core in his legs.
Both matches Oof dropping out of.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Has been trying to get out his back and Okada
is just trying to anything.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Throw everything in Canada and to knock him down, and
Kenny's kind of had to get more aggresive in both that.
So if both men have kind of had to get
more aggressive and outside their wheelhouse, which.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
I really really developing their own.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
But look, look on o'cata's back.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
What did you just notice it's all taped up.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
So the story of this tournament was Okada injured his
neck and back slightly and Kenny kind of taunted that.
So keep an eye in that that could come into
play because that was the story of the g one. Ooh,
Kenny's backstpunt to be injured, you get thrown in like that.
Thanks Agam for everyone's tuning in. Let us know in
the comments if you're watching along or what your memories

(11:31):
are of this match. Make sure you like follow, subscribe
all that fun jazz and leave off the s five
star frog splash other re you. Once we hit three
hundred followers subscribers on YouTube, we're gonna have a giveaway.
We're gonna have a special maybe coincide with Dynamite three
hundred a special three hundred giveaway. Just stay tuned for that.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Oh, Okada going into these chairs.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
That oh here we go.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Oh those are not chairs you want to get thrown into,
you guys.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
So like when you go to the old like concert
venues where they're not even chairs, they're just like all
like latched together.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
What did they to just say a gcw' Those are
the Venus chairs?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Okayda just crossbody leaked over the barricade into him again
with an injured freaking neck. And yes, I know that's
cred angle. I'll just be funny. Red shoes three out
of three so far.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Something else I kind of want to like point out
is that the last match we watched, Rachel and I
discussed the ring around it with the barriers. This is
only the metal barrier, yeah, the actual guardrail. There's no
PVC piping this time.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
I just want to know, and someone in the comments
let me know. Why has nobody chainlocked a bicycle to
these barriers? They look like bike racks, like when you
go to school and you put your bike in them
and you put it. Why has no one ever done that?

Speaker 2 (12:55):
That would have been so warned Cassidy right.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Rain maker five minutes in. But Kenny Omega says, Nana,
I told you this was a nitro fast paced match,
and that's what's great. Every match has been different.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Oh kind of just bounced off the commentary table with
his neck and shoulder.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yeah, he got sandwichtween the guardrail and table there. That
sucks oh back of his head right there. Even Kelvin
Kelly's acknowledging it, so they're kind of filling you in
here on why his neck is injured. Again, it was great.
That's usually part of the g One. I mean, Omega

(13:40):
had to face Bushie in this tournament, so I mean
there was a lot of rivalries, friendships and injuries. Like
I'd love the g One because it's the most athletically
and physically daunting thing someone can do, and it really
helps make it really helps make you into a better athlete.

(14:01):
And in storyline, it's the top of the top who's
now got the title shot, So the champ's in for
a treat. And that's why you know, I like the
Continental Classic they brought in because they really mirrored this tournament,
and I think that's why I'm excited to watch this

(14:22):
year's g One live. So stay tuned to our socials
because we'll be closing updates because it's just some of
the best wrestling in the world.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
It really is. We always say that wrestling is a buffet,
and I feel like every company at the moment is
a main course. Everybody's giving you something different, and everybody's
giving you the best of what they have.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Rising tide lifts off shifts, so it's great and good.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
So Kenny's working that neck again, especially.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
Knowing it's injured. He's like a bear that smells blood
in the water.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
You know, and he knows Socott is not giving up easy.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Umpling the water, blowing the woods, cheesus. It's not shark.
It's like a bear getting salmon, knowing knowing they're hurt.
But you see he's just dropping the elbows on it.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
Oh he rips the tape off.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
I like how he's almost kind of like.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
I mean, it was already kind of peeling, so it
must be greased and sweaty.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
And the rain maker doesn't sweat.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
He glistens, he sparkles. I mean, straight up, Okada, he
is the golden one. I don't know if it's his
jacket or what, but running.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
As Jeff ak smokey say backbreaker. And what's funny is
you can this is a match. You can look Atkenny like, wow,
he really hasn't aged very true. Like this is pretty
much what his hair looks like now, So it's.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Like this is I kind of miss this. I don't
think he has enough like blonde anymore. Like this kind
of looks like he is ramen on top of his head.
I like it.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Fun fact, I'll tell you after this match with o'cata
in his hair, So that's why I want to plant
those little seeds.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Does he pull Cody Roads?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
And if he did, I'm sure. I'm sure he pulled Cheers.
Just kidding, it's a joke.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
I liked venom Cody.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
I like that. Do you think Gato the guy the
a bloc winner has money on this? I think everyone
has money on this. Oh hey Jeff, yeah, that's awesome
comments maybe off no worries. Thank you for pulling double
duty with us. Oh another backbreaker.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
I don't know how to fix that.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Oh the replay of the slow motion is just brutal.
Ocatta just looks like he's just I wouldn't say gotten older,
but like more refined. Like his face is like more features,
like you can see the baby fat kind of has
gone like, but he really hasn't aged much either, smart

(17:28):
going for the pile driver, worked that neck. Look at
that just picking him right up.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
And this isn't like a rookie Kenny, right, this is night.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Remember this is this is Kenny going on his tear.
He won the G one last year. He again he
could have beaten Okada in Wrestled Kingdom. So this is like,
this is pek Omega.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
More veteran at this point.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Than well, he's got more years in the business and
more in New Japan, but they're pretty equal play. That's
That's pretty much what these this rivalry was is who
is the top dog in New Japan because Kenny wanted
to take that spot from Ocot because he felt he
deserved that spot and could be that spot better. So again,

(18:20):
so this they're saying ten years prior to this was
the last time someone went back to back finals, went
back to back and won. Oh go so far together.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Run Oh that was a nice dd t it was.
And he can't get the kip up.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Oh nice little running upper cut almost like this Cizarro
like when he does the running upper cup. But like
laying down like he wasn't running. He was kind of
like got a forty five degree plane. This crowd is
just so hyped. And this again, this is the third
time they've seen though realistically have seen this, whether watching
it on pay per view or in person. And it's

(19:18):
the third time in the same year, which is the
thing because we won't get the fourth match until twenty eighteen,
so after this is a long way over. But I mean,
you had you had this trilogy essentially from January to August.
That's incredible, like seven months. And these put these are
the matches, these three these put these guys are putting on.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
And again they know each other so well. Kenny knows
to just keep working on Ocada's neck and eventually he'll
he will break.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
Kenny was going for a tombstone after chopping the crap
out of his neck and lower back, upper back. Now
he's gonna go for that fireman carry where he does
he like flips into it and kind of draws him
on their head yep ooh, kind of got the knees
out to counter that moon salt.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
That was a beautiful moon salt too.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
See, the first two matches had a lot of technical countering.
This has a lot of like shot for shot, like
anything you can do, I can do better. I am.
Everything Omega is doing is focusing on that neck and
that between the shoulder blades. Like even right here, he
just dropped giving into it earlier, like you pointed out,

(20:31):
he got thrown into the barricade and the announce stable.
He doesn't want to go down oh two to Okada.
He has a tie and a loss to him. He
doesn't want to be down O two and also not
be advancing, you know for the termina your dad Okada
sat calm of a flapjack.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
I couldn't imagine being Kenny's opponent and hearing the whole
place doing that the terminator clap and then you're like,
oh shit, I'm fuck like.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
You know what's coming? Well, even some of the modern
day wrestlers. I always laugh when like Roman Rain says
ooh ah before it is a spear.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
No, Like I just imagine, like what flash, like what
life flashes before their eyes at that point, like they
know what's coming?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
We's I'm saying, but can you imagine that? Like you're tired?
You got Roman Rains? But I like that, or when
you have Sean Michaels when he was tuning up the
band and would like stomp his foot your head off, like.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
We love doing this before Kenny's Matt like finishing moves
and stuff like we always do that.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
And Jeff can agree. Definitely a hot crowd for Japan.
It really is. And if I saw these matches live, Jeff,
I think I'd be just as hype like Mojo Rally says,
I'd be hype.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Bro Red Cheese is trying to stop Kenny from moving.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
Yeah, look at this, right off the apron. He went
to go jump off top rube and then drop.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
Kick the hardest part of the ring.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Oh, the reverse frankensteer on the outside. Yeah, the hardest
part of the ring. That's where or one and one
for that right now? Yeah, two and one for that.
You know better. I was gonna say they, yeah, you
don't want to win like this. I agree. Kenny's not

(22:25):
gonna want to win. He just knows that he's gonna
inflict that damage. So the doctor's coming over. Rocky's even
saying he doesn't want him to win like that spiked
him on his head. I mean, it's it's a smart
way too, but Also, the clock is ticking and Kenny
cannot afford a draw. If he has a draw, he

(22:46):
does not advance to the finals. And that's the pitfalls
of the g one is you can go on a
tear and be undefeated, or you could have one or
two loss that come back and bite you in the ass.
And that's why I love about the round robin tournament style.
Like I know, it gets confusing when you really break
it down, is you have to face all these opponents

(23:08):
in consecutive matches, and you get points for a lost,
points for a draw, and points for a win. Obviously
it's decreasing points, but not getting that win like this
shows really hurt Kenny. Oh God of having a draw
gave him that advantage that he does not need to
win to advance. He only needs to draw. Jef one

(23:30):
hundred percent agree. The prettiest, the best drop kick I've
ever seen is ocadas. Oh my god, snapdragon on the apron.
Oh my god, that just looks so brutal. Is he
gonna hit the one wing? Nope? Oh he's going for
that neck breaker. Ah, He's so smart.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
An I was like, there's no way the match is
already ending, but.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
You still thought it too. He got you. I love it, Like,
what do you like? What the fuck do I have
to do? I love it?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
And it's like believable.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Oh he's calling, he's feeling, he's calling for that V trigger.
That's a great camera shot right there, Red Shoes checking
on him, like, hey, are you okay? Okay? You think
get the fuck out of here? Push his red Shoes down,
you know it's Rocky just got really serious and I

(24:39):
was like, I think he needs to stop the match.
Oh that was a V trigger fifteen minutes a lapse,
fifteen minutes remaining. Oh, another brutal V trigger, I think shoes.

(24:59):
Oh yeah. The pace is amazing.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Debating throwing in the towel red Sho's is debating stopping
the match.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
And is he's just somehow spirit? And I agree with Jeff.
The pacing to this match is incredible. And that's Ocada's
biggest strength and weakness is his warrior spirit. That's why
opponents always had a hard time taking him down. Was
when you think Okada is down, he finds this like

(25:29):
fountain youth of energy. It just turns it on. But
Kenny can match that, and that's why these two worked
so well. They both micros. Yeah, they both have like
like say, look right as I say it, look what's happening?
And I haven't seen this match in about two years,
say like, just you start getting a little resurgence. Oh

(25:54):
oh oh look look at that quick Oh he caught
the trigger? How quick he ran backwards? Though I'd follow
my ass when I ran backwards like that one way? Angel?
Can you hit it? No, kinda turned to a tombstone.
Oh he didn't capitalize, just like last time. What was

(26:14):
the theme? They didn't capitalize a.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
Lot of the issue with them is that they get
too caught up.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
They exhausted, They just they fall down. Yeah, and then
the clock is just whinding. We're at like a probably
thirteen fourteen minutes remaining. And again, oh Kanda doesn't have
to have the urgency, but the closer that clock gets
to zero, Omega is gonna have that urgency. I swear
to not watch this before. The announcers are just saying

(26:43):
what I'm saying. I swear didn't watch this before they rewatch.
Probably just one of my absolute favorite.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
So this would be like a match I would recommend
to someone if they were a fan like of wrestling,
but didn't know who either of these guys were. Like
how we were constantly telling people go watch Ricochet and Ospray,
like this is one of those style matches, like go
watch this.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
So for copyright reasons, unfortunate, Patrick, we can't put the
match as we're watching it live, so we usually try
to do the time cues. There are links out there.
I'll give you the first name. It says Tokyo if
you need find it, but we're watching through New Japan World.
We just we can't share because YouTube will take us
right down, if Facebook will take us right down. So
unfortunately we can't watch it live just like SmackDown Raw

(27:42):
or rather watch along you have it on in the background.
So I do apologize about that and appreciate the compliment.

Speaker 2 (27:49):
Oh dropkick off the top and Kenny landed on his
head too.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
He shook, as the young kids would say, he shook us.
Welcome in everyone, we're.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
Watching the young kids like ten years ago.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Welcome in everyone, if you're just joining us for your rewatching.
Kenny Omega Versuskazuca Okata number three from the G one
twenty seven in twenty seventeen. Yeah, and it's not even
the money thing. It's just copyright strike. They'll just they'll
yank it. Even on Facebook, if we put videos up

(28:29):
with music or even matches, they yank them down. So
I'm just not as brave as some other creators. It
was a nice feature and we.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Kind of want to like respect what they have too well.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
And New Japan's very notorious. You post a gift on
Twitter and they take it down, so it's I don't Oh,
I don't know. I just because I don't, as mankind
would say, I don't have the testicular fortitude to do it.
I'mount of knees. He's just throwing at him, and then

(29:03):
went for another Frankensteiner's Oh reverse German. That was such
a great sequence.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
I'm getting left speechless again.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Sorry, you're fine, You're a noggy Ooh yeah. Nuja Ban
is very harsh. It's one of the big criticisms a
lot of creators have is you can't even share gifts.
I've seen him take down pictures.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
My angel ray back out. Oh, Kenny up on his shoulders.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Go cotton and capitalize Rainmaker just turn him inside out too.
Oh come man, everyone, we are watching Kenny Omega and
Okada Part three, from The g One twenty seven in

(29:56):
August twenty seventeen. Let us know your thoughts on the match.
Let us know if you've seen it for what you
thought about it, or if you're watching it for the
first time with us, how you're feeling. I appreciate that
practice at RINGSI announcer skills. I would love to do.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
Commentary you did for like two shows.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
I don't count that little weird YouTube series. I just
have a face for radio.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
So oh so, if you guys are in the comment
swish Mango an early happy birthday tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
Some people did it on Father's Day. It's okay.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Birthday, Father's Day. At least it wasn't me, that's true.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Oh, Omega's getting tired of Okada's getting that second burst
of energy again. Oh, couldn't get the toomstone. Okada gets
rolled up by Omega. Oh look look see those little
burst that up, those little micro bursts. Oh almost gonna
in the backslide pin. Thank you, Patrick, I appreciate it.

(31:25):
Appreciate it, Matt. Thank you also for the birthday wish Matt.
The pup picture still kills me every time with you
and Brian from America, another rainmaker but.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Still not capitalizing.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Guy.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
He just like pain. He's like for fuck you every time.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
Thank you, Jeff, I appreciate it. I don't know if
I don't know if you uh caught my little comment
earlier with the backup breaker. I was thinking you of backbreakers, Jeff.
I'm sure Rachel's rolling eyes at me now when I
say that, I love you, Rachel Ano Hud. That was
a beautiful German.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
Struggling to get him up.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Good luck in your tournament tomorrow too, Jeff. Not many
people hit three in a row. There's a lot of
wrestling trips. Oh another for verse Frankensteiner Oh right on

(32:36):
his head, and just how quick he jumps up, is
able to get in position and have the trust for
ocado to take that is just it's incredible. One wake angel,

(32:58):
Can you hit it? No countered. I feel like we've
been in a heat wave for a month already. I
agree with you, Jeff. Oh he fell out of the
one way deadlift into a German Holy Schnike's batman. I
don't know why. My little Chris Farley just slipped out

(33:19):
Holy Schnike's again. So the story of this is the
rhymes far As is that one wing angle. Ocat has
hitten plenty of rain makers, but Omega really hasn't connected
and capitalized properly with a one wing Angel. He hit
that one wing Angel, but he was too close to

(33:39):
the ropes. If he gets a dead center, it could
be over oh Ripcordne Tiger Driver, because he dropped him
on his freaking head. Oh he's going for that v trigger. Oh.

(34:12):
Every time he hits those, it just looks harder and harder.
Is he gonna hit it?

Speaker 3 (34:18):
He got the one wing Angel center the rim there.
It is Omega's first pinfall victory over Casuska Okada, and
it took.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Him at least seven attempts to get that one winged Angel.
That's incredible. Okada just wouldn't stay up on his shoulders,
he knew.

Speaker 1 (34:36):
So that was a twenty four plus minute match plus
the sixty plus the forty, so you're talking hours worth
of wrestling for him to finally get that pinfall, for
him to finally hit that one wing Angel. Which it's
wild to me that his first victory it came in

(34:57):
the G one So now Kenny's gonna advance to the
G one finals. Sadly, he does not win the g
one in twenty seventeen, but he just did it. Proved
I can beat Okada. I just beat Okada. I didn't
need sixty minutes. I did it in twenty four So
this really elevated Omega. This really gave him that swagger

(35:17):
and that confidence.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
And it pulled out his like.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
It's almost like he found his weakness. He figured it out.
Ocada is not He's not immortal like it's he conquered
the giant of He climbed that mountain, so to speak.
And now we are gonna have to wait a year,
not us personally, but for their next matchup at Dominion

(35:42):
twenty eighteen, which will be a two out of three
falls match. So that's actually gonna come at you next week.
We're gonna do next Thursday at eight pm Eastern Time
because the fourth of July holiday here in the States,
So Thursday, June third, we're gonna be doing Part four
of the Kenny July third, excuse me, July thirty. Thursday
July thirty pm Eastern Time, Part four of Inevitable Kenny

(36:04):
Omega VERSU Okada four at Dominion twenty eighteen, with the
title on the line and Okada's record seven hundred and
twenty day rain on the line. So I'm definitely excited
for that match coming up. But like I asked you
last week, what did you think of this match? What
did you think of the pacing everything else compared to

(36:25):
the other matches we've had before, it was seen before.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
So like again, like I expected and hoped for, this
match delivered with speed and just the constant back and forth. Again,
the last ten minutes is the only time you really
saw and I would say even like the last five
minutes is the only time you saw them taking a
little bit of a step in between.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
And that was just storyline wise, k fabeise, I mean
that was they beat the living fun out of each
other for like you said, twenty plus minutes and that
last is it's like a slog to the finish, And
it's just the fact that place erupted, the fact that
we pausing and you see all the Omega signs, That's
what I'm staring.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
At, Like I'm like looking out and all I see
is the flags of good night and like goodbye, good night, goodbye,
good night.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
Well it's and now his fans. I remember watching this live.
I remember because as soon as you said it's Ocada
Omega three. I was like, Simon, I didn't know how
to watch the g One. I may have not watched
it legally. I'm not proud of that, because again I
didn't know how to watch him back in twenty seventeen,
easy as I do now. I remember watching it thinking, Okay,

(37:35):
if you can just get Basil kotta get to the
g one, he can win, he can get the title
shot and he gets that number, he gets number four
against Okada, he can get that title. He knows what
to do this time. Yes, I was so excited, and
then he loses the g One and again I'm going
to have to wait until twenty eighteen, and that's we're
gonna to wait till next week. So we're gonna have
to bid you a do wish you a good night,

(37:57):
and thank you and always keep the Gabe. I must
give you help you good bye, but.

Speaker 4 (38:09):
Good thank you for partying with us, but I must
bid you do so from Virginia Ovega and goodbye and
good night.
