The road so far has taken a sharp turn. After ten years away, AJ Lee made her return to WWE and we break down why it matters for both wrestling and the larger world around it.
Then we switch gears to AEW where the path to All Out is getting crazier by the week. Will Chris Jericho return to Canada for All Out Kyle Fletcher stepped up to challenge for the title, MJF skipped his honeymoon just to get under Mark Briscoe’s skin, and Briscoe answered back by choosing the stipulation for their clash.
We also cover everything from last week’s AEW Collision and Dynamite. Fletcher throwing down at Hangman Page, Moxley testing Darby, and the Don Callis Family leaving chaos in their wake. Every piece is leading to what feels like a showdown that’s been written in the stars.
Stick with us on this road because there’s no telling what’s waiting at the end. Subscribe and hit the bell so you’re ready when the next chapter drops.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
And welcome to Cruising the Cafe a Mango and previously
on Cruisinger the Cafabe we did an episode all about
the next wave, all about next man up. As we
kind of hinted in the episode with Swerve going on
for surgery, Ospring going off for surgery, and the potential
Kenny Omega taken some time off which now has been confirmed,
we figured that this road all Out, this kind of

(00:57):
next road so far has already had some detour, so
we figured we kind of talked about what's happened in
this week of pro wrestling, because there's been a lot
that has happened.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
It's a very exciting week, exciting month. All Out has
kind of always been a huge part of AEW much
like all In. All Out was also one of the
very first big big events before they had a cable production.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, I was gonna say, before the AW is AAW.
You know, all In was kind of started with the
idea of Cody the Bucks, you know, getting together and
proving people wrong that they could draw ten thousand people
in Chicago and put on a wrestling show that wasn't
w to Now six years later, they're going to be
the largest All Out Gate potentially largest attendance in Toronto,

(01:44):
which is why we called this the Road so Far.
Because we're both big Supernatural fans. We like plays on words,
we like the alliteration, and Supernatural was filmed in Toronto,
so I figured it'd be a cool little nod to
the nod because we kind of like those meta references here.
But I also want to say, real quick before we
get started with at ew huge shadow ag Lee returning

(02:04):
to the ring, we can't not talk about that for
a minute because A j Lee and Page were literally
what shaped your identity in wrestling, So I wanted to
kind of get your thoughts on A j Lee, like
excited to see her lace up the converse again?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Uh vans?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
I know, I don't understan why their vans is time.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Only thing I don't like about this at the moment.
Where are your Chuck Taylors Nee?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Chuck Taylor's the reason many wrestling fans bought them, including myself.
A J Lee was a huge inspiration to why I
enjoy wrestling, same as Page. Looking back in twenty fourteen,
the main contenders for the women's division were Paige and

(02:48):
aj They were always in matches. They were always interfering
with people, every little thing, like backstage, they were always there,
and I think that it's really awesome. Ten years later
she's back and for the fans now apparently it's a
multi year contract, so it's not just the one off match,
and I think that's more exciting because if anyone knows

(03:11):
wrestling lineage and history, you know that AJ's the promo queen.
She wrote some of the best men's promos and pipe bombs,
and if you didn't know that, now you do. You
should have known that. Shame on you. A J Lee
is huge as far as promos go, and this is
going to be fantastic for every situation backstage.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
I still love when she roasted Jerry Lawler when they're
on commentary and she was something like, I'm sorry, I
know I'm too old for you, Jerry, and I was
just like, oh my god, Like that's when I knew
for me that AJ just didn't suck around with her promo.
So no, I wanted you to touch upon that because
you know, we may not watch w B live all
the time, but we try to keep up with the
pay per views when we can, and we try to
keep up because we support wrestlers. We love our wrestlers,

(03:54):
and I can't not talk about one of your all
time favorites coming back. That's why I at least wanted
to touch on it, because again I liked aj Lee,
I didn't have the same fandom you and it is
not anything I just I didn't see what you said,
But then seeing how much you liked it, I became
more of a fan with her. And then reading her
book after you read it, Yes, it's crazy as because
my superpower. Go check it out.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
They even talked about it on commentary. My heart was
so happy. And also with her coming back, you can
see the people that looked up to her and getting
to wrestle her rocks in Perez like that's their love child,
Like that is something that's going to be so pure
and happy. And I almost wish that they didn't have

(04:36):
Lyra and Becky feud because this pairing would have been amazing.
The four of them in the ring together would have
been just such a light in the wrestling world.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
No, and I think what's great is you hit on
a great point. You know we're now at that in
past ten years doesn't seem like a long time for us,
but ten years can mean the difference of so, you know,
the eight year old little girl seeing her wrestled, seeing
her being vicious and on the microphone tearing people apart
to now training to be a wrestler are working on
the NDS.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
It's like when you see the people in NXT coming
up and getting to work with someone like aj Styles.
These are people that they watched like growing up and
that's the reason that they got into professional wrestling. It
is the same as seeing someone like.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Look at Jadastone and Bailey, look at Yes, you know,
look at all these wrestlers, look at Tony Storm, who
she's talked about, you know, growing up, seeing how Mercedes
was an influence on people. And it's great because you know,
ten years ago they really started this. And the reason
why I brought this up too is ten years ago
they really started that devas revolution. They really saw that
women's wrestling matters movement. Ten years that we're already talking

(05:45):
about two fantastic women's matches on this card. All out.
We're talking about Mercedes winning nine belts around the world,
changing wrestling for the benefit herself. We're talking about a
Jay coming back and making a positive impact. We're talking
about Soria coming back when no one thought she could,
where you're talking about all this inequality to men's wrestling
and it's making a big deal. Aj Lee's return has

(06:07):
amazing social numbers off across so many platforms. People are
happy to see it. So when a return that maybe
five six years ago people would have said, okay, cool,
is now a big deal. It means women's wrestling finally
has their respected to deserve. And I'm I'm glad as
a fan to see that evolution, no pun intended. I'm
glad to see that we can talk about Tony Storm today,

(06:28):
and we can talk about Jamie Heater, we can talk
about these different women wrestlers and people aren't like, oh,
it's a bath and break match. They actually take it seriously.
And I love it because we're gonna talk about our
blood and guts, theories and predictions, especially with sky Blue
going against Tony Storm and a Philly street fight this Wednesday.
So I think that's the perfect segue of talking to
We're now at a point where in the ECW arena
we have and I want get your thoughts on this

(06:49):
Tony Storm, thinking on sky Blue and a street fight,
both women already proven they can do it.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
I think this is gonna be great. We haven't seen
Tony break this kind of a persona out since match
with Mariah May and that was a banger. I think
sky Blue is always on point in the ring, and
to bring her outside of the ring into another street fight,
She's proven time and time again that she can handle
these and she can go. I just I love this,

(07:18):
and I love that it's just a street fight, not
a women's street fight. It's not a women's four way match.
These are a street It's a street fight. There is
no reason to identify it. They're gonna go and they're
gonna crush it. And I think this is important, and
this is exciting.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
It's your favorite thing. You love blood and guts, and
you love the potential for the woman getting the blood
and guts. I mean, we have all the bloody Britt figures,
we have the bloody thunder Rosa, we have hopefully eventually
we get the Bunny, you know, bloody buddy, or we
get the sky Blue from her last time, our Willow
and Statlander. The amount of women who've stepped up and
said anything you can do, I can do better.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Ruby so Ho, Ruby so Ho. Go back. Listen, listen
to her on Talking Jericho, go back for it. Phenomenal.
Britt Baker revolutionized. I think the color face like that
is just I had to have it. I actually got

(08:19):
to by accident, and one of them is like triple printed.
I wear that one as much as I can. It
is bright, it is wonderful, and.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I just think of again the visuals, because again it's
paying homage to ECW, where you had someone like Francine
taking a pile driver. You know, you had someone like
Missy Hyatt taking movies. You have women, You had Jazz
tearing it up in the CW, you know, beating the
crap out of the Mendment rightfully show. So you have
this revolution, and I'm glad that someone like Tony conn

(08:48):
recognizes that it's not about if it's a man or
a woman wrestling. It's about the entertainer. It's about ken Well,
the crowd, gular highness, about the entertainment. And a lot
of people don't want to touch on the subject of
blow and guts or blood and you know, gigging whatever
you want to call it, and women's wrestling. But if
they're okay with it, if something they want to work
to tell their story. I heard a great quote and

(09:09):
I wanted to use it tonight. The reason why they
call it a canvas in a wrestler is because that's
how they tell their art. If they want to tell
their art that way, why are we to stop them?
If they if they're trained, they do it safely. Maybe
it's not for you, Maybe turn off, but I am
glad to see that it's taking it six. I can't
wait to see sky Blue. We put it on Twitter
earlier to say that sky Blue Tony Storm in the
twenty three hundred arena. Both women have been in some

(09:31):
crazy street fights, hardcore matches before. This is gonna beautifully
violent and I can't wait for it. And again, sky
Blue has really kind of turned up a lot.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Do we see a high heel?

Speaker 1 (09:42):
We might see two high heels. I think because you
have the triangle of madness. You have you have Julia
and Tekla who Tecla just everyone's out to get her.
I mean, she's got hater going after her, she's got
a queen going after her. At one point, I think
Willow went after her.

Speaker 2 (09:59):
We're not calling beef. What are we calling this? Like beast?

Speaker 1 (10:04):
Like?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I don't know what to call it. We need to
figure out a name, because I am not chanting beef
when they're all in the ring, right, But it's all
the tall, very muscular women, and I love that. I
think it's so fun to be able to see such
a diverse division still have different elements to it, where

(10:26):
you do have enough people in the new girl that
just debuted stom Store me.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Oh yeah, she's a former volleyball player from Ohio's.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Over that's a whole foot taller than me.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
It is, and on a good day, people like we
talked about the time Bozilla, you have all these women
that again, just like the men, there's different there's heavyweights,
super heavyweights, light headweights, technical submissions. I love it, and
that's why, you know, just kind of segue. That's why
I'm excited for the fatal four way match. And I
don't want to give our all of our predictions because

(11:03):
we know we have our prediction show that when I do,
but I at least want to ask you, do you
think now we have Tony versus Jamie Haydeen, verus Statlander
versus Tekla for the women's title, do you think you
don't say? Who do we get a new champ at
all out Do you think this is where Tony drops it,
because if not.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Now when we don't need it. But I don't want
to see spoiler alert. I don't want to see anybody
holding two belts anymore. I think that it's overrated. I
don't think it's necessary. I want to see multiple people

(11:40):
carrying the titles. I if it's different promotions, that's totally fine. Mercedes,
please keep collecting, stay away from the women's title. Will
you have the TBS. I think that it's it's not
showcasing your talent enough. There's a reason you have thirty
people on a roster. We're talking like one hundred and thirty.
But there's a reason that you have so many people,

(12:02):
and it's to showcase them.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Don't be like me on to Fight Forever. I come
out with every single title.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
But I just personally, it's a personal opinion. I know
I can get hate for it, you can hate me.
I just yes, it shows you're big and bad. But again,
there's more people on the roster that can shine, and
you don't need to no, And I think from the same.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Company shining, you know, Statland. There's kind of a two stories,
right now she's being recruited by the Death Riders. You
have Yuda, who she just used Yuda's famous backpack pin.
Could that be the advice that she's gonna because you
know Statlaer's got back on her winning ways with whose advice? Well,
she's also teaming up with Harley. Harley wants to challenge Brotino,

(12:44):
and Chris is like, no, we're not challenging.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Brotino, like they could take them.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
So you almost have this. She's being pulled come to
the dark side, No, stay with me, feel the raft.
And then you have Willow. So you have, sorry, three
storylines going right now. So I guess for the crowd,
he says he doesn't tell, doesn't tell stories, find a
new narrative because she's actively trying to figure out so
is she gonna go back to Willow and save her?
Is she going to join the Death Riders? Are hardly

(13:12):
going to go for the first women's tag team titles
like it's I just think what they're doing right now
is fantastic. We talked about this again. She plugged. Check
out our episode that we just did next Wave and
now streaming. This is what we're talking about. When we
see Stat Lender stepping up. This is what we're talking
about when we see these women compat. You now have stories,

(13:33):
and you now have all these different directions. So I know,
I said, do you think I think it's gonna be
a champion. I think stat Letter could take it. I
could see Hater taking it. I could even see Techlea
taking it. I see Tony losing it. Each each one
of them is a plausibility. So you're not to say
two predictions because I'm not see how these weeks kind
of play out. But they're all in storylines where they
could have a title. And I think that's what's brilliant

(13:54):
about how they've kind of been no pun Intendant Spider
woven together that if one of the it has a title,
it still means m especially if one of the Heels
gets the title. Imagine she joins the Death Riders, so
Stalinder is the champion. Now there's another time last saying
they were put in a briefcase again, but there's another
title that the Death Riders can make an example of
where already had to fix the men's division, now we
have to work on the women's division. Like there's ways

(14:16):
they can do this. So that's just kind of my
thoughts on it.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
I mean, I guess from here we have to go
talk about the death Riders, because I can't say what
I want to say without talking about them.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
So let's go for it. Let's go with the other
person being heavily recruited. Now, will we see Dana Garcia
become trademark fending here the Red death Rider?

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Well, not even that far. I want to rewind a
little bit to Wheeler Dah. So Wheeler Dah has been
very much to the sacrificial lamb. So like the sacrificial
lamb is Wheeler Dah. And I wonder how much longer
he can take this, because you know he's bound to break.

(14:58):
This isn't something that's coming easily for him. You can
tell that he's worked really hard to get into this
position and he's not getting respected. He's never been respected.
He's always been the outcast in this group. And he's
trying to get Chris Statlander to work with him. And
you've got John Moxley whispering in Daniel Garcia's ear, but

(15:19):
you've got Wheeler you'da whispering to Chris. What if they're
building a whole separate faction to go up against the
death Riders. What if it's this whole big twist, Like
there's so much that could happen here. I don't want
to see her join the death Riders, but yeah, like
what if it's like Wheeler Yda branches off create something
bigger and better and we see a little bit of

(15:40):
the best Friends meets Willow and oh okay, we just
never know what could happen. But if Orange Cassidy can
come back, that's for people right there.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
So I'm gonna take what you said, and I'm gonna
spin it a little bit because I think a big,
big news item happened this week, then not enough people
really put together. I tried to UNRPA. Brian Danielson is
now a commentary Everyone's say going forward, what this means
Probably Tony Shani's probably moving to Saturday, so it'll probably
be a TASiS caliber Brian Danielson Booth and Tony Nigel

(16:10):
and maybe Ian Booth on Saturdays. But the big crux
that is the last time Brian was on commentary at
Forbidden Door, Moxley walked right by him, and you know,
he didn't want to make any eye contact with Box.
He didn't want to make any eye conct but he
kept designing you do you just been growing his hair out.
We've said this rug and he's doing psycho knees. He's

(16:33):
got his beard. He's still kind of embracing the American dragon,
like the mannerisms, the way he wrestles, kind of the
way he carries himself. Brian was not like It's not
like he was this hi gully gee guys. He was
a vicious I'm gonna kick a fucking heading guy, but
he was I have a moral compass guy. I think
you know that. I think he stalls that moral compass,

(16:55):
but we're gonna I think we get like a double turn.
I could see something in the future of you teaming
with Brian Danielson to take on Moxley and Garcia down
the road. And I could see that being so because
earlier in the year we had Moxley talking about Garcia,
how Brian failed him and couldn't couldn't be the right
mentor and what did Brian always want to do? Just

(17:16):
like I said the last tubs, So Brian wants to
recruit Garcia failed Moxi's trying, Garcia's starting to break. You
saw Marina wearing the red kind of helping him up.
He didn't win, but they looked like he passed the test.
He looked like he he showed he had the heart.
So I think that could be like leading to your
best friends, because maybe it leads that doesn't lead him
to get the best friends back on track because he realized, listen,

(17:39):
I want to win. I wanted titles too, but I
didn't want to do it that way. And that's what
Moxley's whole promo was like. You were really impressed with
how he was talking about the outcast. He was talking
about them being he didn't want us to be.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
They weren't the best, they weren't booked to be the
one to be the biggest in any of their factions.
Leaving forward, think they're trying to talk about WWE. No,
but could you take it that way? Yeah you could, no,
And I think again, it's it's a lot to be seen.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
I'm excited because we got about two weeksish to all out.
We have the last week in Philly this week with
Dynamite Collision. Next week we have a four hour special
September to Remember, so it's Collision and Dynamite on Wednesday,
so we're gonna go too long without mew Yes.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
But I want to point out I have not cared
about the Death Riders storyline for quite some time, and
now I'm back and I'm invested because they're teasing so
many new key components to this and that's how you
continue a story. You don't keep mixing in the same people.
You gotta freshen it up. And I'm gonna die on

(18:50):
the hill that I want Marina Shaffir to get someone
else with her. Did I say her name right for
the first time?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
You did?

Speaker 2 (18:57):
I'm so proud of myself. Guys, that took a long Sorry.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
To the Messiah of the Backbreaker.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
So Marina Shaffir is known to be a pro MMA
fighter as well, and she really kicked ass. And no,
I don't know you know me. You know I am
not a fan of Ronda Rousey. She can go places.
I think that you have someone like Shana Basler who

(19:26):
could come in and be a very good asset to Marina.
And I know for a like a pre interview that
was done with Shana, she's really enjoyed seeing Marina's growth
working with Moxley, and I think that that speaks volumes
in itself is to see where someone is that you're
relating to and you have similar values with being able

(19:47):
to rise up and still use the MMA style with
your wrestling, because at the end of the day, that's
what AW is. You take your wrestling style. You're not
doing the same five moves, You're not trying to culminate
into their style. It's you. That's why they wanted you
in that company's for what you can bring and what

(20:08):
you do.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
But it also kind of played Devil's advocate. She's older,
she's and she's been working as an XT producer or
she did, so maybe she maybe she wants to kind
of step back that way, so maybe she could be
an agent for them maybe on screen.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
I just could see, like I said, like Willow and
Chris versus Marina and Shana would eat. I would eat
that all day. And I'm not a technical person. I'm
not an MMA person. Feed me.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
I don't know how long she has left in a contract,
but I rather kind of have a Masha Slimma. This
eventually comes.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
Over, Masha, I would love that as well.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
I think of what you're looking at, Jody.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Threat, there's so many elements that again It doesn't need
to be Shana Basler.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Remember when the Internet melted down because Jody Threat and
Athena had a snug match.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
And everyone loved it. That is what Jody does best,
and that's what Athena does best.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
No, I agree, and I'm a little shocked that we're
not seeing any involvement with Athena yet. But I still
feel like there's something to come. There's something in the
pipeline because Athena just celebrated over a thousand days. Is
forever rh women's champion. You know, I still think my
pradictional holster, I think she drops into Billy.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Because I think time's ticking Athena.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
I think it's gotta be Billy at this point. I
think Billy's tried so many times that this will finally
that time. It will be that big moment for her.
So I'm curious where she's gonna go. But also to
kind of keep this going to see where I'm curious
or they're gonna go. Is she gonna be the one
that kind of interferes with Mercedes? Yeah, she seemed a
little bit of a collaboration with Mercedes. Could that be

(21:38):
a trick to get her back? Because Athena is still
not over her loss in Boston back in April.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
No, Athena does not handle loss as well. We know that.
That's why she's a thousand days.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
And Athena is very smart. The enemy, my enemy is
also my friends. If you play nice, nice with her,
maybe you get her on your side. I know you
don't want to see double champs, but maybe it's one
of those things where even if she if she drops
Ari's titled debillo, maybe she's maybe she's the one to
throw Mercedes as like, see, I'm still further champion. I
may have lost my but I upgraded baby, like I

(22:10):
can see like not saying upgraded like to say it's
not on the same level, but.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Like she has brought that Ring of Honor title to
its worthiness like she yeah, notoriety for sure. I think
that's something exciting. Athena doesn't get brought up enough.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
And I want to point out real quick to before
we get off Ring of Honor. Bandido's done the same
for the men's title right now too. So you have
Athena and Bandido probably your two best ring mark shapings
you've had any long time. Not that Afina wasn't carrying
the workhorse before, but now you finally have that. I
mean people were tuning into that YouTube Sosial to see
the Bandido match. We gets Heeshiero fire Verse Dakeasha in July.

(22:52):
You're gonna put him up there restly your candid for
a reason. And then I think this is a trum.
I don't know. Obviously, we don't have sources. We don't
know anything. What you guys know too. This could be
a testra for your honor. Like maybe they're gonna go
on YouTube. They even put a lot of matches on there.
They just put their whole pay per view on there
because of the issues. Maybe they go on YouTube because
what better way get more eyes? And I miss aw

(23:13):
Dark and I miss Elevation. I remember I used to
get so sick of it because you'd watch it over
and over during the pandemic, especially when we have anything
else to watch. So maybe I got too much of
it at once. But not having right page, not having Dark,
now having Elevation, excuse me, having ring of honor on
that YouTube being that Thursday night show or Friday or
Friday night show, it could help. It really could help.

Speaker 2 (23:36):
I think that the more eyes you can get on
a product, the better it's going to be. And one
of my favorites has been on Ring of Honor a
lot lately. She was very prominent on Dark and Elevation
and I'm really happy for Ashley Vox to be getting
seen again on television. She was out with an injury
most of I believe twenty twenty three, twenty twenty four,

(23:57):
she was out with an injury.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Missus seestars.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Yes, so Dolmy just got married.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Gratuations Delby and Rip Bison.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
That was like, yeah, credible, the two of them, like
we're very key components to Limitless when we were going,
all three of them including Rip, like they were there
almost every show. And it's just nice to see the
people that you've watched, like when our friends go to
NWA and then you get to see them on like
live television. I just it's I don't know.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Indeed, you root for the good people. You root for
the ones that you've seen how they interact in that
of the Ring. You see them, how they interact with hands,
and it's it's awesome. And I agree seeing Ashley Box
being on a Ring of Honor is never not gonna
be incredible. You know it's never not gonna be Oh
my god, I think I pop every time, like, hey, hey,
who it is.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
We're the first match we saw her in she versed
Daniel Garcia for the Limitless Championship, Like that was twenty nineteen,
That was, no, twenty twenty, That wasn't that long ago. Actually,
when you think about things.

Speaker 1 (24:57):
And you know Emily anything to do, anything to do
like that, She's all over it. So I think it's incredible.
I think it's they've done a great job of kind
of transitioning and getting Ring of Honor kind of back
up to where it should be. Speaking of quick the
last time come of touch a Ring of Honor. Outrunners
are back with Dalton Castle, like.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
In an epic.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Videos they were like in the jungle or something and
they see the boys like one of those and what
are these? And the Dalton new son of a bitch
And I mean, remember we went to that collision with
the Outburners came out as the boys and y'all, when
I tell you, I thought Emily was gonna like pass
over laughing. So she's like, wow, what are the boys?
Is kind of jacked and I was like, oh, what

(25:40):
do you mean? Oh, my god, I start laughing because
you just see truth magnum flex and he's wearing the
little feather mask. And once they clicked, I knew I
saw Emily click. She goes, oh my gosh. We both
realize at the same time they were the outrighters. We
both I was instead, and now they're running the back.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
So I died dead again, adding.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Some more star power to ring. Vonnor puts that whole
YouTube and again kind of help keeping the outrunners fresh
in the ring. So when they come back and maybe
face to Brodido, maybe face the jet speed again to
kind of I'm excited again. I don't think it's the
problem going between both shows. I know some people think
it's the emotion with Athena's working both shows, Billy works
both shows.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
I think the working both, the more TV time you can.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Get the better And I know ones behind a paywell,
but everything's behind the pay well if you break it down. Yeah,
I'm excited, but probably not as excited as you are
for this next one because I did way too much
of a deep dive on this to make a video.
I did way too much research. I'm pat myself in
the back. We were probably one of the first pages
to post about this who this person was, But Hologram

(26:42):
has been seeing some glitches and since seeing some issues,
and then we see teasers past two weeks of the Clone.
It's arrived. Systems granted, and there's a Clone Hologram and
Evil Holograham who turned out to be Ares, who is
King Strange himself, one of the craziest independent workers, has
great chemistry with Hologram. They go back to GCW, they

(27:03):
go back to MLW, They've wrestled in Triple A, They've
wrestled around the world, the wrestling around the country. I'm
excited because you're gonna see a guy who is kind
of like the best way to describe it, like a
Zach Saber Junior. If if Zack Saber Junior and Ravenstereo
made a wrestler, this is kind of what it would be.
You have the crazy, high flying louch store, but the
twistiness and the technical this.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Would be my create a wrestler. This is entirely what
I would do. The face paint, the masks, the gear,
every little thing about this US Well, yeah, l Clone
now or El Clone. I'm ecstatic. I cannot get enough.
And if you haven't checked out the video that Mango

(27:44):
put together. I'm not just hooting like his horn. I
think that the video is so awesome. I've watched it
way too many times. I like every time somebody comments
on it, it sends us to the video and i
just have to watch it all over again because I'm
so excited to see this style of wrestling in aw
I think Hologram was very early on one of my

(28:07):
absolute favorites for everything he does. I think that this
is gonna be fantastic, and there's just endless I could
go on, like I'm so excited. There's this one move
he does where he like kIPS up into the move
that core strength is insane, Like how is that even possible?

(28:27):
And then you're twisting someone into the ropes. Go watch
the video because like, I can't do justice what this
man can do, and it's it's gonna be great. I
can't wait to see him mix it up with the
whole roster.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
And after you subscribe and make sure you like subscribe
with us five star frog Splash of you and on
our YouTube page Cruisal ca Fave, check out search for
a res videos, type in a res verse and just watch.
He's wrestled with the Keshta. He's wrestled with you everyone.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
You know, beast By King go.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Amazing chemistry, and he's someone that is gonna plot the
story because for those who really aren't aware, in the
Lucher tradition, they always kind of have the evil in
the dark character, the Yin and the yang, and that's
what this is. This is the polar opposites. It is
a soap opera trope. How oh my god, he had
an evil twin the whole time and he's the one
that stole the check next week in general Hospital. It's

(29:18):
it's that same kind of concept in a wrestling form.
It's great because they don't always mirror each other's moves.
They might pull off a little bit more vicious style
of the move. You know, they tried it with Mystico
when he went to Wae. They tried to do the
cincaro and the sincaro negro, but that doesn't really work.
So you had the misco Mystico too. You had all

(29:38):
the different variations of it, all of it. Just check
out some of the best ones. I think this has
gon be fantastic. Holligarnd finally kind of gets a story
after you know, kind of earning it being good worker.
So I'm excited to see where they bring the story.
And one of their most well known matches MLW was
at the twenty three hundred arena. This is the last

(29:59):
collision of the twin through hund Arena. Both prediction he
arrives this week because what better way to make his
debut than the real he first thought holog I like it,
so I'm excited about that. There's so much and that's
why I wanted this.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
Episode this and honestly, like something that would be so
fun to me is to see him in the crowd
in a hologram mask and then have him come over
the barricade and remove the hologram mask, and it's his
own rendition because we know that he's probably going to
be like not repackaged, but repackaged.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
You know it repackages the right term, because I'm sure
he's gonna have to change, like just like with a hologain.
Would he kind of changed from uh K, It's as
I can never say it right. It's so hard to
say for me because it's not something I said out loud.
But he changed the look of his mask, he changed
his gear slightly his color schemes to the blue and
the Neon Seahawks colors. If you kind of want a

(30:50):
visual in your head with l Chloe, he looks like
we getting the dark red and black. So we're gonna
get like that red and that black. Maybe like are
red in the black version the hug because I mean,
may you sell those masks? Let's go. Lots of opportunity.
I can't wait. I'm excited again. Like you said, all
the different stuff, this kind of storyline again, the people,

(31:11):
all these oh, you don't even tell stories. They're common.
You just you just don't want to pay attention because
they didn't give you five recaps, I guess. But I'm
really looking forward to There's so much more talk about
another one I really have to talk about. We mentioned
him again, Ace Austin, how he's ready for the next
big thing. Great vignette played on Collision where he talked
about he's here to make a name for himself. He's

(31:33):
here to win championships. He's here to show the world
who Ace Austin is.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Chris bay reposted it my heart Leve had.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
Talked about he has an ace up his sleeve always.
Then it transitions into the Bang Bang Gang, who threw
away card blade and card gun and said, you know,
it looks like they're taking a serious move. They're trying
to get rid of the jokes. And they said, you
gotta play the hand that's been dealt. So two card
verfaces and the promo played right before. So what are

(32:01):
we thinking? Have we think of Ace Austin's joining the
Bang Bang Gang getting more of a serious like Bullet Club?
Is Bullet Club Gold gonna come back? Can I get
a seriousness back?

Speaker 2 (32:12):
I want to see it. I'm ready. I think that
a trio of them could definitely take on the Ops.
I think that they that's a beef match. Like that match,
it would be fantastic. I think that there's so much
that goes into Ace Austin being a part of aw

(32:32):
and again knowing the locker room, knowing the vision of everything.
It makes a huge difference when you bring someone in
that already has chemistry, like we just talked about, they've
wrestled the majority of the roster. I want to see
Ace Austin versus Speedball. I want to see all these
different avenues being taken back again, like run it back
for me because I don't know what it is about

(32:54):
the aew magic, but there's magic in that ring. I
promise you like something about it. Just overtakes to you
when they're in that ring. It's just different.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
I think we get the Bullet Club gold because you
have someone like Juice who can work with everyone. But
then you have Ace Austin. You can kind of add
that different element and they can be that trio until
Ja comes back, and then you think about it. You
have Juice, Ace, Switchblade and the Guns. That's a pretty
solid faction to go up against the town Kallis family,

(33:24):
to go against the Elite, the new version of the Leite,
to go against the best friends, to go against whoever's
out there, and I think that's something that is interesting
to see. I'm excited to see where that goes. But
speaking of the Ops, it's a great segue in the
next one because someone that's not happy with the current
version of the Ops is Hook. We saw Hook's return
to the twenty three hundred reinch return to aw to

(33:44):
honor his dad, his dad Taz getting his name well
deserved in the rafters. But you have Hook coming back
a little pissed off, a little pissed off.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Since double You've been saying this for quite a while
that he was gonna come back like this, You've definitely
like hit the nail on the head with how he's reacting, probably.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
Because that's how I felt sometimes, Like I feel like
it's relatable, like you know, you're in a friend group
and you know you can't do something and they come
back and go, you guys want the boys strip without me?
Or oh you guys. Oh you guys went to the
store without me, and I'll got like whoppers like, oh okay, no,
they want to tie it without him, And then Joe says,
but you weren't ready, yeah, because he was injured. So

(34:25):
you can see Hook's bitterness. Another one that seems to
be swayed to the dark side. Maybe that facttion you're
talking about with you to. I mean, he kind of
was part of the best Friend of the Dan Houses,
so that could be that seriousness. And I just want
to point out my favorite thing since Hooks returned is
his new music that just plays while he's beating everyone down.
He doesn't stop playing, kind of.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Like see so classical school New York. Well that I
get it. It makes sense for hook I just don't.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Know the truth of it is because his original song
they renewed, didn't renew the license and anyway, so they
aren't using Action Bronx and song anymore. So I think
they were just trying to find a new verse. So
I don't know. Again, I hadn't heard the song before,
but I think it fits that whole New York like
Frank Sinatra, like Vibe not having to pay their royalties

(35:13):
to Frank Sinatchra's estates. So no, I just like that
place kind of anarchy in the arena style. That's why
it kind of pops me a little bit. I'm excited
to see him Versusmojo. You knew was coming. You knew
when he joined the Ops. That was the ultimate endgame
is you always kind of put some in a faction
that you want them to kind of turn on you
so you can tell you elevated. You had the veteran
and the new person in the action kind of go together.

(35:35):
It's wrestling one on one, so.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
They already tease something as well. They haven't You saw
backstage he was joking. Cook was joking around and started
like choking somebody out, and he's like, just try it.
And then Joe tried it and he liked it. So
it's like, I don't know, they had such great chemistry.
I kind of just didn't want this, but I get it, and.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
The healed, Like I imagine Joe's a heeling him as
a he towards Joe. I think they can use that
same chemistry, put him into something like a street fight
to give Hook an advantage where and again he could
you know, he could be the reason they lose the
trios titles. You weren't good enough the titles either. You know,
Joe wants to work with Hook. You know, Shabada probably

(36:19):
wants to have a one on one with Hook Hobbs
and Hook Hobbs doesn't. And that's the thing Hobbs said,
I wasn't place you he's been, He's at his back.
So that's team t has. Hook and Hobbs have never
had beef. I don't think Hook wants that smoke.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
That's probably why let's woun't.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
But I think that could be a Rickle No. Two.
He goes to the entire ops by himself, make what
way to kind of push him up to the top.
So there's a lot they could do with that. Again,
I'm excited about that too. So much going on, I
guess with factions, we got to go to the next one.
Don Kallas family. Oh well, looking, I have encompassed on

(36:57):
a lot of our notes here.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Yeah, this is gonna be a lot. Buckle up. We're
about to talk a lot about Don Kallas my favorite himself.

Speaker 1 (37:09):
But I mean, first of we got to talk about
Wednesday is Kenny taking out by Kyle, like him being
stretched off and Kyle proclaiming that aw is all his now.
And then you have Josh Alexander claiming that he's going
after the finished when he started with Hangman, Hangman was

(37:30):
beaten down. He was left to spawned the he need
to be Dyna my ends on a sour note with
all the baby faces, all the top guys were beaten
down by the Don Kallis family. And then Kyle comes
out on collision calls out Hangman because he wants to
be a double champion. You talk about how much you
hate it, but he wants Hangman. He wants that title.
Don Kallis's promised goal to his family. I think we

(37:53):
got a lot with Kyle Fletcher right now. There's a
lot of tensions to the Don Kallis family. But Kyle's
definitely on a mission. He wants Hangman, he wants that gold.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Don has plenty of people up his sleeve. Again, we
don't need a double champion when we have that many people.
You could give it to anybody else in the Don
Kallis family that's not already a champion. I know it's
getting slim, but there's plenty of other people to pass
the torch to.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
Don Kallas has got like seven hundred members, so that
I feel like there's someone in it.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
It grows every week. Who's next?

Speaker 1 (38:26):
I mean, honestly, I don't know this boy, because I
feel like there's when you think no one else is
going to join, someone else joins.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Well, I guess that leads us over to who could
potentially be leaving the don Kallis family.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
I think Rocky and trent E menually going to get
out too. But that's not who you're mentioning. No, you're
mentioned the alpha Takeushta and I've been Kinna saying this
like you have too since since he won that she
won and he stared down Okada at forbidden Door. I said,
there's tension there, He's already showing it. Then this past

(38:59):
week on Coal, he sent Josh Alexander to the back.
He said, see Lander bye. He didn't want to he
didn't want him there. He wanted to win the match
against Briscoe on his own. He didn't want a cheat
to win. Remind you of Osprey, just like I made
that prediction about how Don Kallis's downfalls, he will never
stop chasing Omega, the ghost of Omega, and the same

(39:22):
way that Osprey got sick of Don Kallas's ship with
a screwdriver and the Schmas finishes, Takesha's getting sick of
that ship. But Okada, he said he's the top dog,
the Rainmaker is the top dog, and that the Alphas
just a little bitch. So you know they're gonna come
to blows. You know what's gonna happen. There's your new title,
there's your title to get off. Someone is to get

(39:43):
that content title off Okada, and you have no Takeusha
winning the g one and then potentially to throwning Okada
right to the top.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
You are not wrong.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
So I'm gonna ask you what do you think with
the Takeshta face turn. I mean, I know I know
you like Takeshta by any you like more as a feast.

Speaker 2 (40:00):
I do anything away from Don Kallis is fantastic. Actually, yeah,
Takeshta is definitely worthy of getting a title. I would
like to see him as world champion. That is world champion,
he really would. He just killed it in the g

(40:20):
one like you were talking about. I think that he's
ready and he hasn't really.

Speaker 1 (40:24):
Had a bad match since he's been with AW pretty
much full.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
Time, even before he was full time.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
I don't see a lot of that. I mean, I
remember when he first kind of came in and the
elite were highly talking him, recruiting him in and the
whole Cinnabon joke. Get that man of Simba and he's
gonna turn face. I think him and ol Kata. People
can say what they want about Okada, but I think
it's a few that needs to happen and it will
be a passing to the torch kind of thing. I
think that's what o'cada's kind of there for to build

(40:50):
himself up, is this big star and help bring guys
like Takesha up. Because Takesha just turned thirty, He's got
the whole world ahead of him. Another one that we're
very high, and I think he's ready to get that
X level. I think in Okata it's gonna be a
great view and I'm excited for it. Well, next, I
want to talk about something that the man skipped his
fucking honeymoon to screw over Mark Briscoe.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
That's a wrong screwjob. That do you want the honeymoon?

Speaker 1 (41:15):
You know? I know some states someth they have laws
about consummating the marriage. So I don't know if MJF
is he legally married? Now how does that work out?
Is that still an old fashioned But anyhow, Alicia apparently said, whatever,
this man skipp his honeyon from this, but he does
not want Briscoe to leave Toronto. He said, I'll give
you whatever stipulation you name it. I just want to
eat the match. And now Brisco's got time to think.

(41:38):
And this week I think we're going to find out
what his stipulation is. Now, you put in a poll that
we have a dog collar match, that we have a
basically a street fight. What are the stipulations did we
put up there?

Speaker 2 (41:48):
Ladder match, ladder match.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Maybe putting a contract on the line.

Speaker 2 (41:51):
And a strap match and a.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
Strap match, which again keep MGF contained so we can't
run around. It could be another you know, brawl the
barn basically as far that's.

Speaker 2 (42:01):
What I want to see. I want to see something
crazy out of Delaware and got chicken farm, chicken kung fu,
like give me Mark Bristo stuff.

Speaker 1 (42:10):
It will be And again maybe that's why he's kind
of voked to his brother's name. Maybe so the family
gets involved. Imagine all of Mark's.

Speaker 2 (42:17):
Like I was just gonna say, it'll be like started
like kicking him for real though. There's so many and
it would be so funny to see each of them,
like I don't know, each one gets like a cookie
sheet something funny.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
Just all beating the craps.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
They'd get like a mini bus and they all pile
out of it, hilarious, Like there's so much that goes
into this. And then they could hit him with the bus,
they could borrow jack Berry's, they could just take it.
They're like probably on the side in children just take it.

Speaker 1 (42:49):
Yeah, I'm excited for that, curious to see how it
goes all out and massive official of the but we're
just waiting for the stipulation and it's gonna be fun.
MGFF involved with it, Brisco. It's gonna be entertainment. It's
gonna be cheesy, stupid, entertaining fun, make you cringe, but
I'm here for it.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
Speaking of cheesy stupid, but we're here for it. Big
Bill called out Eddie Kingston. You crazy, and of all
people do mad Man, you call out the.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
Mad king You call out the guy who didn't even
care to respond to he was watching South Park when
he responded to your tweet. We'll respond to you in
a tweet like wow. And I guess I'm here for
But what's the endgame here, big Bill? Like? What are
we trying to do?

Speaker 2 (43:33):
Wreck some faces? I guess I don't understand it either.
But Big Bill's like seven foot ten. And then you've
got I'm exaggerating, I know people. And then you've got
Eddie Kingston coming back, and he's getting into some of
the best shape of his life.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
And I think it's just gonna be a fight. Would
I think he's.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
Does he come back with the beard?

Speaker 1 (43:53):
I don't know. I think he has back clean shave,
and I think the beard's just this grumpy old man
wolverine old man logan.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
Look right now, I think he could coln't front him
with the beard, but shave it off for the match.
That'll be when Eddie's like, I'm.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
Excited to see Eddie back. I'm excited to see him
come back.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
You know who's gonna be there.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
He's everywhere.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
He is everywhere, and I just know that that would
pop Mango to be like, oh my god, he's here too.

Speaker 1 (44:20):
I swear they need to start having him just walk
through backstage segments whenever people are just have him walked
through back have him go to his car and get
in his car, have him like show, have him show
up with DoorDash or someone.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
Oh my god, yes, everywhere.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Like I'm not saying make him a comedy gate, but he's.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
Every event, him walking in the halls.

Speaker 1 (44:39):
I saw this random Indian event and it was featuring
because he's in the US for the summer. I'm like,
he really is everywhere, everywhere past but I'm excited to
see Eddie come back. I mean, give kids a little
busy in Japan right now. He was taken away by
Darby to kind of go back to Japan. Left the
streets Philly. You know he's gonna want to score a
settle with Game. After I put my a shelf for

(45:00):
over a year, so he's just gonna run too big Bill,
And I'm kind of curious, where is this sleeve, Eddie.
I definitely think it leads to going to Japan and
taking care of some business. So I'm excited to see
him back. The Mad King's coming back. I'm out here
for it.

Speaker 2 (45:15):
But if we're gonna talk about Eddie, now, we gotta
talk about Gabe Kid.

Speaker 1 (45:21):
Which again, poor guy got thrown in a body bag
and dragged through the streets of Philly and left, and
now he's poor guy.

Speaker 2 (45:27):
He attacked our guy.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
I don't be dragging through the streets of Philly. You
don't mean potholes or in the streets of Philly.

Speaker 2 (45:34):
Not enough, not enough.

Speaker 1 (45:36):
I swear to God, every time I've driven through Philly,
I feel like I need a new axle. Every time
I watch a show on Philly, I see cars just
going oove and I'm sorry. I'm not trying to offend
in my Philly. I know what it's like to be
in the Northeast with snow. These towns don't fix our roads.
That poor man's probably going through downtown in that body
bag getting all banged up. I like it. I know.

(45:57):
But you know what I'm also gonna say that you're
in a life is the Derby versus mox coffin match
that was made official for All Out Matt. Now, remember
Darby's three and one in cough matches, only one loss
to Jack Perry, but he's always three to mox So.

Speaker 2 (46:12):
This is Darby's time, this is his thing. This has
Darby winning written all over it. And what is Charles
gonna concoct? Like, I'm so curious to know.

Speaker 1 (46:25):
Have you called Charlie Charles? That threw me off for
a minute.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
Yeah, what is Charles gonna concoct?

Speaker 1 (46:29):
You went full on like young bucks eedp of me.
What is Charles gonna concoct for us today? In the coscuits?

Speaker 2 (46:38):
So we we just know that Charlie has been on BTE.
We've seen what he can do, We've seen what he
can create. He's worked with Darby for quite a while.
Pretty sure he's a lot of the thumbtacks.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
There's a lot of videos of Darby. I mean, do
you remember when Moxley trying to run away, Darby fucking
hit his limo with a car or hit a the
suv with a car was bleeding then he climbed out
at Rest and came back. And Darby's not going to stop.
So I could see him coming to the ringo with
a fucking monster drug dragging the coffin.

Speaker 2 (47:10):
Yeah, I just I'm excited for this on so many
different levels. But again, like the madness behind it is
what's really exciting. He went to the summit of Mount
Everest and that wasn't enough. He a thrill what.

Speaker 1 (47:28):
Yeah, he kind of promo on Moxley and proposed to
his girlfriend. So Moxing's consuming this much of this man's
life that he's cutting a promo on him and posing
was golfriend. But his whole focus right now is taking
down Box and he's going to and it's gonna be brutal.
It's gonna be violent, I agree. I mean, we'll see
how plays out the next two weeks. I think right

(47:50):
now my two early prediction is Darby kind of getting
his ascension. But there's also was sheningens with the death Riders,
including the Red death Rider himself, So there's a lot
of twists and turn here, and I'm here for the story.
I'm just here to see more dog than my television
because I didn't know what we were missing last year and
he was gone. But Darby please will leave for a
long period again, because holy crab, it's it's like a

(48:11):
whole different show with him on that I'm not just
saying his crazy stunts, but just his energy that he brings,
like when he's in the ring and he's just throwing
himself at people like him. Verus Claudy was fantastic because
he he's like that David Goliath wrestler. You know, he's
not gonna be him because he's gonna be the best
wrestler in the ring. He's gonna beat Hi because that
motherfucker's gonna have pink bob himself off one corner of

(48:32):
the ring to the other and try to take you
with him.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
No, like Darby is relentless. Darby is like that word
embodies him so much, like his picture's got to be
there in the dictionary. Like every little piece of Darby
is invested in getting his payback, getting his pound of flesh.

Speaker 1 (48:54):
Flesh in that ring.

Speaker 2 (48:55):
Yeah, like Darby's willing to do whatever it takes, however
it has to be done. He is not going to stop. Therefore,
putting the nail in the coffin would be the perfect
way for Darby to end this, but does it just
end what would be next? That's right, there's.

Speaker 1 (49:15):
So much stories again Jack Perry situation, only early person
to beat Darby in a coffin match, so on that
Boxley said back in October, I like that Jack Perry kid. Again,
you're talking about those new stables, Jack, when people getting replaced.
There's so many twists and turns, and I'm here for
it all because so far, knock on Wood, this has

(49:38):
been one of the best runs they've done with these
stories and keeping them kind of connected through the year,
so it's not just oh, here's the story. It's over,
not that they did that before, but you know what
I mean. Like so, I'm curious see where it goes
and kind of cap off. We have two more things
talkable for our last two stories, but the first one
kind of goes back to you having his five hundred stories.
You have the Geats of Agony and Ricochet taking on

(49:58):
the Hurt Sente Kit. Now this is up because the
Hurts can't recross their titles. When the Gates, Magne interfered
on Ricochet's orders because Rikoshet didn't forget him getting embarrassed
and bitched out by the Hurt Syndicate last December. But
here's the thing. Who were they working with the night
before Forbidden Door. They were working with m JF to

(50:18):
kind of punish Brisco to get Hangman to a land.
So there's some story that did MGF kind of order
it plus game motivation because hey, Rick Ashit, remember what
he did to you? Do you want to do some payback?
There's still a story with this. The Gates Agony have
been just proving how dominant they are, gonna helped re
establish that beast of the tag team kind of going

(50:39):
against the Hurt Synekit who just had a good run
with their tag titles, who now don't have the titles
because of them. So it's a grudge match.

Speaker 2 (50:45):
So is this gonna be too? I was just gonna say,
is it actually gonna be MVP or do we see
someone else?

Speaker 1 (50:52):
Three on three MVP and Bobby Lashley and Shelton going
against Rikoshet and the GA. MVP confronted, he's gonna lace
up the boots for this match.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
He doesn't do that often anymore. And this is a
treat in itself to be able to see no I.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
Think we're gonna see a lot of It's an agony
match up very well to Lashley and Shelton. You know,
we're gonna see Shelton this week against Ricoshet. We're gonna
see a little preview it this week on Dynamite. All
six of these men can wrestle, all six of them
can tell a story. It's gonna be interesting. I can't
wait for it. I think Ricochet is just he's on

(51:27):
another level when it comes to his heellwork. I think
he's gonna help bring those the Gates Magny boys up
to kind of get the more relevant he's he's kind
of getting his own bodyguards, not to use it that way,
he's getting his own support because he's kind of seen.
I love Danny Garcia has a quote that I absolutely
aw is Gotham. It's lawless, it is, and I think
he sees that you kind of need to have people

(51:50):
on the back to protect you. So he's got the Kates,
Agony and Hurts and k again. I know Cedric signed,
but there's still other people like do they have a
trick up their sleep? Like there's so much to these
stories and I'm excited see them and we're hoping that
you are as well. We want to know let us
know in the comments below, makes you like give us
a follow? Who do you think so far? And to
end the night, we got to talk about it's not

(52:10):
the main event, but it's obviously it's on the poster.
It's a big deal Edgend Christian again. They're reunited Cop
and Cage versus FTR grudge match. It's Toronto Edgend Christian
never teamed in a match in Toronto before, so it's
the first time as a tag team, which is fucking
mind blowing. When you go back and look, you're like,
that can't be right. But because they only had a

(52:32):
small run in WF as a team, so kind of
timing didn't work. And then obviously with injuries and Christian
going to TNA, it was timing bait. They've never had
a tag match in Toronto, which I thought was fucking wild.
It's not fair, and I'm glad it's finally happening. And
we have FDR who's just been on the dickhead of
dickhead runs taking out Adam Priest and Tommy Billington and

(52:55):
kind of just taking their aggression out of them because
everything Cop and Cage are doing to them. You know,
there's still some more heat and there's still some more
punishment dish around. But I would ask you, so you
saw Copy Cage a forbidden door kind of get the
rust off, kind of get their chemistry back. Are you
excited for this match or what's your thoughts like Copy
Cage or a FTR.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
Curious to see how this is gonna go. If you're
watching on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (53:21):
Having to wear an FTR shirt.

Speaker 2 (53:23):
I am wearing my FTR shirt. I think that there's
just so much that goes into this. I'm just again
happy to see Cope and Christian in Toronto. I think
that that is what should be going on. I'm a
firm believer and putting people over in their hometown. If
not close enough, do we see Jericho come back all out?

Speaker 1 (53:48):
I mean, yeah, we should touch on Chris Jericho because
being in Canada, I mean there's a lot of places
he can probably insert himself in this car, the Big
Bill match, the Edge and Cope Coping Cage match, he
can make an appearance. But being in Canada, I would say,
if Jericho doesn't return here, does he come back to
aw at all? And I don't want to put out

(54:09):
rumors based on what he said the media or what
he does or doesn't like on Instagram, because again it's Jericho.
He's gonna play. He's gonna play whatever side.

Speaker 2 (54:17):
He's a master of this. He has really truly reinvented
himself so much. He plays along. He's told us previously
on his podcast and in part like he will tell you,
hit to your face. If you're gonna be a dick,
I'm gonna be a dick. If you think I'm a heel,
I'm a heel. If you think I'm a face, I'm
a face.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
And He's I think he's never gonna beur Bridges. He's
he's not gonna say no, I'm never going back.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
To B or No, I'm not with AW.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
He actually was. I'm still with AW for the long term,
and if the right opportunity for itself, I'd consider it.
And I think he'd be stupid, not too as any
athlete to say, oh no, I'm not gonna look at
this job opportunity. Because regardless of personal feelings people have
for one promotion to another, if Arresto decides that they
are a better fit going to a different promotion, or

(55:05):
they want or they feel like they've accomplished with their
goals and one promotion, or they feel that maybe he
wants to go for a retirement run, he wants to
have one more rumble appearance, he wants to have. It's
no one else is to judge but himself, and I
personally think that if we don't see him in Canada,
there's a good chance he's either probably on his way
out or probably not coming back. Because I think this

(55:26):
is a good opportunity to bring him back. I'd like
to bring him back as selfishly because I do like Jack,
but I think what he's done for EW, I think
i'd like to see him end his career in aw
on a better note, you know, just kind of disappearing.
So even if he comes back and leave, maybe he
comes back and he has one more story and then
he leaves and gets written off like how Regal was
written off or something. Because I think Jack's too much

(55:50):
more professional to not want to at least hey I
want to do business no WAYO, or hey I want
to sign one one more year. Let's I want to
retire like sting dead, Like I just think there's too
much goodwill towards Tony Kahn. I don't know the relationship
with Triple as if you read if you read the rumors,
supposedly he didn't like Triple A's but again, money talks bullshit.

Speaker 2 (56:11):
Walk ten time champion, give him the Ring of Honor
title back, and have him really be the face for
their television deal. There's endless possibilities with Chris Jericho.

Speaker 1 (56:22):
And I.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
I don't know, Like, where there's a spark, there's fire,
and I think that there's so much more that he
could do. But also there's a lot that goes into
him in general, as far as Fozzy and his podcast
and all these other things that he has avenues for
I just it's very hard to see anything but aew

(56:49):
as a huge fan of his. I want him to
have whatever he wants. I want him to have that
great run. If that's what he wants to do, come
back for one appearance, that's fantastic too. Whatever it is
he feels necessary to do. I know he's squashed the
beef with Triple H supposedly, so there's a lot that
goes into this, and I'm happy if he's happy.

Speaker 1 (57:12):
Well that's the thing. No one will ever truly know
how he feels about people in AW or AW and
you said he's squashed me, but again, we don't know,
We don't know that could be. But also he could
be negotiating contract with AW. You know you're gonna leak
out that there's interest from W. You're gonna I feel
like that's just contract negotiations one on one, and people
are people are gonna overanalyze everything. It's just like the

(57:33):
football season. When a player unfollows their team on Instagram,
it literally makes headlines. It's like really, or when Taylor
Swift likes a certain posts profile picture, it makes headlines like, oh,
I thought therapy. It's like it's people will because they're
so starved for news when there's no answers, they latch
onto everything. And Jericho hasn't really been public since he

(57:55):
left AWTV and the Fazy dors ended, so anytime he speaks,
it's under a microscope either way. I'm a Jerichoholic. I've
loved Chris Jericho since WCW. I loved him when he
was on his whole shtick about the arm bar to
when he finally became y to Jan and DeBie, just
all his runs in La Champion. So whatever he does

(58:17):
I'm gonnaollow him and enjoy it because I'm a fan
of Chris Jericho first and foremost. Aw is my preferred promotion.
I watched him, he support him. But I'm gonna support
my favorites wherever they are, because that's why I watched
wrestling for my favorite wrestlers. I don't watch because of
the three letters that they're always on. Doesn't mean I'm
not gonna chant those three letters when it's exciting. It's
fun as fuck. But at the end of the day,

(58:39):
we do this podcast with this because we love wrestling,
but it's okay to understand that we might be bummed
if he's not in the promotion we watch more of.
But doesn't even stop or flip flop and say we
don't like him aybo, because that's just disingenuous, and whatever
happens with Jericho, we're happy. That's just a whole long
spiel to end all spiels, and that's why again this
is the road too. We don't know always is gonna

(59:00):
go in a month because I well, everything we said
last month was fucking wrong. So that's a great thing
about wrestling. Just when you think they're gonna go left,
they go up. So I mean, think about it. It's
a swerve, bro it does. So we're gonna go ahead
and wrap up tonight. So I want to thank you
guys for tuning in. Make sure you give us a like.

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
