Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey guys, and welcome to another episode of Cube the
Marvel Snap Podcast. My name is Mark Lee. I will
be your host tonight. As always, I I'll be on it.
I'll be on right now.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Wait is it for me?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
And so tonight, as always, we have to everybody's left
we have Bock Joy a k A Dakota and to
the left we have mister Doc Helmet Don himself Don
be Don. And today we actually don't have a long episode.
I say that now, but you know, probably might go
(00:42):
an hour depending only.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Four hours today, guys, on hours straight.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
We don't have much to talk about because there was
there hasn't been much you know, added into the game.
But uh, we're just to like give you a snap shot.
We're gonna go over the new card speed, We're gonna
go over the ota that we had, you know, not
much changes there. But then at the end of this,
we're gonna do a little something special and talk about
(01:12):
uh Deadpool and Wolverine. Spoiler alert, you know, spoiler alert.
But you know we've given you you know, about a month,
So if you haven't seen it, or if you don't
want to be in the talks regarding this, just make
sure after we talked about the ota. Just cut it,
cut it, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Although if you don't want to hear about it, well
too damn bad.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Just watch it, watch it till the end. We need
the views. We're hurting for views out. But so you know,
let's get started.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
The newest card that we have is Speed. So let
me go ahead and show everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yeah read by, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Oh oh. I know why it's like this. It's like
this because we were looking at a deck.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
F Oh, we gotta do some changes there we go
boom baby, boom, you chuck a ladder.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
All right. So Speed is a three costs three power
card and the ongoing effect is plus one power for
each turn in which you spend all your energy.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
All right.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
So for the first person, we're gonna go to, Don,
how do you feel about this card? Don?
Speaker 3 (02:36):
I think it's fun card if it's dwell into the
kind of just a tech card you could use in
most decks. I mean, I see it fitting right into
a Sturper deck obviously, but you know, even a deck
like a new deck would work for this card. You know,
(02:56):
you're using your power constantly, which means it's going to
keep increasing. It doesn't matter if it was in your
hand or on your or in your deck. You know,
once you pull it, however many turns you pad it,
you're just gonna get that power. It's kind of nice
to have. At best, it's going to be a three nine,
(03:17):
which is pretty crazy if you think about it. But
even a three five three six, which doesn't seem too
difficult to do, that's pretty good value.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Okay, how about yourself, Dakota.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, dude, this card, this card's wild. I'm sorry, I spilled.
I spilled my beer. I set it down and it's
just like freaking tsunami up in this bit one second.
Talk about it for so do you think, yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Yeah, you're good? So for me, I feel like this
card is ah, it goes well with his brother, which
is wicking. It's cool that they have that synergy between them.
But other than that, you know, yeah, I think it
does work well in surfer. There's not a lot of
decks that you know, kind of prioritize using all their energy. Uh,
(04:14):
definitely not good in a high evo deck. But I
feel like what Don mentioned getting it to a three five,
three six at minimum, I mean three turns that you
have to do to get you know, that minimum to
spend all your energy and sometimes you know, you do
play on curve, so it's not too hard. But I
(04:38):
don't know if this kind of takes a place of anything,
you know, I don't know if this trumps any other card,
is what I'm saying, because there are a lot of
good three cost cards, especially like with UH, with specific decks.
There's already a synergy between these decks. I'm not sure
(05:00):
sure besides a wickend deck where you prioritize, like I
got to use all my energy, you know, so I.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Make sure it's one of those I have to use
all my energy kind of cards. I think it's a well,
you know what, this is a nice little bonus, right,
Being able to get a three six out is just nice.
I mean, you could even fit this into an ongoing deck, right.
You know you're gonna try to play on curve a
little bit anyways, so it's a nice It's not like
(05:38):
a hey, I'm gonna build my whole deck around this card. Yeah,
but it is one of those nice things where I
can at least get a little bit better, like at
three to six bolid card.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah, at minimum, Like you said, three six, you did
mention the ongoing deck, so that that would be a
good one because you do run you know, your ones
is like and man, your two could be like Mojo
or Goose your three Geen Gray. You know there there
is a a natural flow to playing on curve, So
(06:13):
I guess cards that do you know, decks that do
play on curve naturally are pretty good with it. It's just,
you know, like this over something else is kind of
hard to kind of think about. So I don't know,
I haven't tested it in anything else other than Wickan decks,
and he does seem to work really well with a
(06:35):
Wicked deck when you can get wicking off.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
So what excuse me?
Speaker 1 (06:44):
I am Wickings' demographic. So how about yourself.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
To go over here the carpet, you know, straight up,
I'm good, I'm back.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
So how do you feel about this card?
Speaker 2 (07:00):
This being ongoing is really fun because I think I
put my headphones on right back when I think Don
was mentioning it doesn't always have to pop off every turn.
Just having him go off twice throughout the game, or
you know, maybe three times, you have a good stat
It's not terrible. And so the deck that I was
running with him first was the Spectrum build that I
(07:22):
saw from Cozy. I'm like, okay, let's see how this goes.
And it was fun because you know this thrown in
with Luke Cage, you got your man thing, you got
Agent us Agent. There's some fun just like builds that
goes along with it. After you showed me that Wiccan
deck that has him in there, I man, I was
having a blast. Like just playing this style has been
(07:44):
really fun, and I think that we haven't really unlocked
all of its potential yet and I'm excited to just
continually cook with this card. So I'm enjoying it so far.
I got no negatives on it. Really it's fun.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
How do you guys feel about it's competitiveness, because it's
definitely a fun card, especially like I mentioned with Wicken
and Wicken is a fun card. I don't see it
being too overly competitive. You'd have to really be cooking
to uh proc Wickan and be lucky enough to draw
(08:18):
him so and on top of that, like be able
to use that extra energy, right, because there's a lot
of times where I find myself procing Wickan and then
I get no, like no big cards, right, Like I
didn't draw into a Loki to get the opponents sack.
(08:39):
I didn't, you know, I didn't draw into my uh
what's his name?
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Who's the guy from Shield Colson? I didn't draw Mike Colson,
you know, to to get those bigger cards. So it's
it's really, like I said, a lot of fun, but
I don't think it will be as competitive about how
about you, guys, that's not what you've done.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
No, I mean I don't think this is going to
be a meta breaking card by any means. I do
think every now and then you're going to catch some
people off card. If you can play it a little late.
I think you can definitely use it well, but it's
not gonna change the meta.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Okay, do you code it?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Yeah, I'm right there with don. The one thing I
will say though about speed is with iron Man again,
if you're going more the like ongoing play, this one
actually can go off pretty good. Wiccan together. I mean,
if you're throwing Loki in like the one building you had,
this one has some good potential. But at the end
(09:49):
of the day, it's it's kind of fifty to fifty,
you know, Like most of these cards are either going
to be like oh yeah, this is the one you
really need and then you kind of got to build
around it or it just gets left in the dust.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
So okay, so do you do you guys? Uh? Do
you guys see yourself using this card pretty often?
Speaker 3 (10:14):
I think I see using it sparingly, you know, here
and there. But like, I can't say, there are too
many cards that I use insanely often, right. You know,
we all kind of get on our kicks. We play
with a certain deck for a little bit, and then
we kind of like, man, I want to try something different,
so or sorry, at least that's how I play this.
(10:35):
You know, I get stuck and it's like I'm bored
with this. Maybe I'll go play negative for a little bit,
or maybe I'll go play, you know, just some meme
deck and try to just get all the smiles and yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
And with the introduction of alliances, it's kept me changing
decks quite often. So shout out to our alliance mates,
especially in chat, Ghosty, Shadow and Joe d out to them.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah there, I love you boys.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yeah. I feel like with the ever changing alliance bounties,
it kind of causes us to play different decks more often. Now,
the question The final question is it worth the six
thousand tokens or the one to four kis? I don't know,
(11:30):
you know, because if you get lucky, of course one key,
it's worth it. Right now, is it worth two to
four keys or six thousand tokens?
Speaker 2 (11:40):
What's your take, Dakota, I think that it's worth two
keys six thousand tokens?
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Is?
Speaker 2 (11:49):
I don't think, honestly, there's been a card in a while. Besides,
like Airshom that's worth six thousand. To be honest with you,
just it's it's kind of getting ridiculous. So this one,
I don't think it's a six thousand. If you had
to do too, I think it's worth it. Uh, there's
got some there is some synergy in ongoing decks.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Okay, don't.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
It all depends on how much you like the variance, right.
If you love the variants, then worth for If you don't,
then no. Unfortunately, my streak of luck came to an
end this week, and I don't know. I don't know
how these guys do it every week? Just you know,
four keys. Oh, I can normally pull it in one
(12:32):
or two, but man, these guys over here, like you
guys the suffering you dost sleepless nights.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
I think whenever you say that, my soul leaves my
body a little bit.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
So I still think between all three of us, Mark,
you've had to pull more for more four keys than
any of us.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Yeah, it's not it's not a it's not a breg.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
That's in the chat.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
So please, if you actually have a uh a twitch
free twitch Amazon Prime sub, go ahead and up.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Baby.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Let's come on now.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
So all right, let's move on. So we're gonna move
on to the the ot A of the the week.
It wasn't really a big ot a and there wasn't
there's an Amazon hack. Oh thank you girls, Shadow. I
appreciate your Prime sub.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
That's the man you.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Uh So the patch notes we have here. The thing
that changed the most was the card upgrading. And it
looks beautiful now. So I'm just gonna show really quick
what they changed. I'm gonna go to my most updated
(13:58):
cards that have splits, which I believe is iron Man.
So I'm gonna go to iron Man's page. All right,
let me just show you guys real quick. So when
you want to upgrade a card, let me sorry. I
have to I have to make it a bit smaller.
(14:22):
So on the right you have all this stuff that
you could upgrade, right, so when you do your splits,
they kind of put the splits in its own area now,
so you have the base, the foil, prism, and ink gold.
(14:45):
Now they actually have just base. So if you don't
want any like what do you call it, like the stars,
the crackles and whatnot, you could just put the base
on it, which is amazing. You know, some people don't
like this extra stuff with it. It's a nice split.
They don't want the extra stuff, they could just put
(15:05):
it without the effects. On top of that, they changed
the way prism and foil looks, so the prism effect
looks good. So good, now so good? I mean the
foil one, you know, they upgraded too. You could see
(15:25):
it's a bit softer mm hmm. But then when you
switch over to the prism, it's because it was really
hard to tell the difference between did I get a
foil did I get a prism? Right, So now that
they actually made this very distinguishable, it's it's really nice,
Like the prism looks like diamonds in the background, while
(15:47):
the foil, you know, it's like one of those old
time cards you get in the collector's pack and whatnot.
And then if you just want to stick with the
base and just add effects to it, that it's pretty
cool where it's just like, okay, cool, I could use
any of the facts that I've unlocked and then just
put it on the base card without having to change anything.
(16:09):
So I think they knocked it out of the park
on this one. What do you guys think?
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (16:16):
I love it. I love the fact that you know,
one you could see it just so simply. The Prism
upgrade is just aw Like, I'm just so stoked about it.
I love this is what should have been for a while.
So yeah, it's awesome.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Yeah, and like I hope that they continue to make
these changes make it more uh graphic user interface friendly.
But what do you what do you think about the change, Dakota?
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah, I'm on the same page. It's exciting to see
they're actually putting some effort into the customizations, you know,
like being able to actually distinguish Prism versus foil. Yeah, no, brain,
that probably should have happened, you know well, launch day.
But I'm happy they'll finally get into it now because
it's exciting when you get a split and you go, Okay,
this is actually this is pretty cool to see the
(17:09):
card layouts that we have to I'm happy the price
went down because they're having it change every eight hours
along with you know, your credits. It just kind of
keeps you a little more focused on hopping back in
and going Okay, is this the one I wanted? Is
cosmic red in here and not? I don't know. Hopefully
it is. Like I like this a lot. I'm a
big fan. I hope they continue to improve on this
and just give us some more abilities to to on
(17:35):
these splits, you know what I mean? Like, I love
foil just as much as anyone does hate foil. I
think we need some better designs too, Like, okay, we
got foil prism gold inked. That's only four. Why don't
we have more than that? You know, okay, I got
gold on some I want some some different designs. Let's
do do a little bit more. I think they have
(17:55):
a lot of chances to kind of branch out and
help with the cosme and instead of just refining, I
think this should refine and improve.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
The only thing that is wrong about that, I'm sorry.
I'm going to talk while I change this. The only
thing I think that's wrong about that is it's more
money to spend, right, Like, if you have more than gold,
then what is it then ink and foil than prism.
(18:27):
Then that means there's a lower chance to get what
you want.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
M hm.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
On top of that, you have to spend way more
to get what you want if you want to.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Do that for some of us.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
My man's got that look. I know. I'm just saying.
When they posted on their social media account they had
it was I think it was the AI generated where
they were showing like different cards. They had entirely different
art styles on the splits, and I was like, whoa,
this looks really cool. Like they had like the I
like the look there's a one Magneto card where everything's
(19:06):
black and white and then there's like one thing of color,
you know what I'm talking about, What like the boy
looking into the reflection actually like it's Magneto. They had
like a whole line of that color scheme. So like
in this instance right here, iron Man would be red
and the background would be inked, you know what I'm saying.
And I think that that's a really cool idea where
(19:27):
it's like you have this and then something else, like
in my in my opinion, I would say get rid
of foil and put that in place. That that's where
I would stand with that. If if it had to
stay with four possible splits, I would say, have foil.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Okay, I kind of agree where if it's like because
even now prism and foil they have the same color scheme, right,
so if they could change it up or like take
one away, I'd say, yeah, take foil away, because prism
looks amazing.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Now, yeah, who wants that weird foil background at the
end of the day, Like that's no one uses that
card then, I know of I mean, if there's one
in the chat that does. Cool, you guys don't use
anything foil, right.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
A ton of foil things. But that's because I have
no other option.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Now, okay, So I would you choose uh prism over
foil though.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Yeah, I would.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
Okay, cool. So if they're with you, yeah, so we're
on the same page foil. If you love foil, I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
I'll pray for you.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
If you love dan hip foils, then I'm sorry. God.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
I like what go said to it, but just the
base art and that's a cool thing like the ability
to have the customization where you can have just the
base art and customize it in your own way. That's dope.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
That's a so that that that's cool that they actually
uh let that happen because a lot of people do
love the bass art and they're just like, well, I
do want say crackle on it, or I want some
kind of effect on it. What can I do? Right?
(21:19):
The only way now is you know they they made
it available. Yeah, kudos on them. Anything else, no, nothing, Okay,
that was good though.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
So they also made the rotating cosmetic shop bigger where
you know, when you could want it to buy the
borders right, and borders are now cheaper. You know, they
re fond the people that actually spent on that. I
(21:55):
was just like, yo, if you knew you were going
to take it down, about one hundred and fifty old, dude,
that's one hundred and fifty gold. People bought like a
full frame for their entire decks. I did it, but
I'm just saying they should be refunded. I bought somebody,
you know, they you know, everybody should be really funded. No,
I didn't. I didn't do a full deck out.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
I just bought him black borders though, right, you bought
that hundred doll I did.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
I did.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Why you gotta out me like that?
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Baby?
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Well, well more than that, you know what's funny though,
They're just sitting there right now because I'm so scared
to use them because they're one use. So I'm just like, okay, well,
I'm just gonna chill and then when I like something,
then I'll know when to use it. But right now
I have a bunch of borders just sitting there, even
the free green one that they gave us, I didn't
(22:46):
use it.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
I got you, man, black border Quicksilver King.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Cards.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
You never play, Yeah, put it on the cards you
would never play in a million years. That's all you need, baby,
put it on there. In America. Let's go.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Now.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
So they what they did is they changed it. You
can't just buy borders outright anymore. You have to wait
till it changes in the shop and it shows up.
So instead of three cosmetic sections, there's nine now. So
now you have a chance to get those borders cheaper now,
(23:27):
which is nice, you know. Now, Yeah, you have to
wait for it, but it's about one hundred and fifty
goal cheaper. I believe. So, how do you guys feel
about the changes on that stuff?
Speaker 3 (23:41):
It doesn't affect me a whole lot, you know, as
the raining porpoise in this group, I don't really see
myself spending too much though I say that, and the
next thing I know, I'm going to be buying another
you know, pro bundle and you know, dropping a couple
of hundred more dollars on this game, even though I'm broke,
(24:04):
as you guys know, because I work with.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
You don't help me like that.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
You can out yourself. You can't help me, like what
the fuck?
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Yeah, it brokes you.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Wait, we gonna put my air pods on.
Speaker 1 (24:23):
It's the air pides.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
I got this up a Timu. It's really nice, just
doesn't have a really good tweeter on it though.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
How about you? How about yourself? To go? How do
you feel about the change to the shop.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
So you were in the truck with me when I
noticed it. At first, I was like, what the fuck?
But I can't just do what I want now, knowing
damn well, I haven't bought one border, so I was like,
I don't why I'm mad. It's cheaper now too, That's great.
The only time I ever came close to saying I
need to buy this right now. Was with my uh
my Helverine, uh y that I have and you're like, yo,
(25:01):
look at this with the orange cosmic and I was
like just heavy breathing on that. But I didn't. I
didn't do it. But yeah, as far as affecting me,
it does not. So it's cool. I'm like, yeah, you know,
but I agree with you the fact that we you know,
I'm saying we as in collectively.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
But if I did buy something and they dropped the
price on that border, I would be a little like,
that's kind of fed up for the OG players, you
know what I'm saying, Like, why are y'all doing this
to me? I better get a notice in my inbox like, oh,
we know that you bought something before we dropped the price.
Here's here's you know, whatever, the refund just to bless us,
because hey, at the end of the day, your game
(25:41):
doesn't run without its player base. So if you keep
screwing over the players, your game won't run. So I'm
just saying I help us out.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Yeah, it's crazy because uh, you know, those were the
OG supporters. They're the ones that bought the border, showed
it on say Twitter or x or know, Instagram, and
then they showed other people and other people are like, Yo,
that looks nice, so they buy it. So they're like
promoting the borders. So it's just like, yo, if if
(26:12):
I got you some money, just send back. You know,
you still get a big chunk of it. You're sending
what one hundred gold back for each border you bought.
You know, that's nothing to their eyes because we already
spent the gold and we're still going to spend the gold.
So it'd just be nice, you know they do that,
(26:32):
But I don't know, I don't think I think it
would be Yeah, it would be too much for them to,
I guess, find out like how many borders did you
buy and all that stuff.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
We'll start a ticket. If you're in cubed, we'll get
this ship back, right, Okay.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
All right? So they also sorry, excuse me, they added
Alliance improvements, so they basically, we put a place where
you could share your decks. Now, more emblems were released,
so we did change our alliance emblem to a actual cube,
which is cool.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
Yeah, buddy, So.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Uh, they added voices to kill Monger ghostwriter Doctor Strange.
Have you guys heard any of them?
Speaker 3 (27:24):
You know, I don't play with sound.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
I don't even you know, I love playing with sound. Yeah,
I heard the kill Monger. I haven't heard Doctor Strange yet,
And oddly enough, I still haven't heard the Ghostwriter because
I haven't played a deck with him.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
But now I'm gonna okay, cool, I wondered, Yeah, I
want to.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Here's my question. Does Cosmic Ghostwriter have a different voice?
Speaker 2 (27:44):
I don't know the disrespect. Don't be doing that.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
No, hey, hey, you know all those voices are actually
in my head because you know it's only in comics.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
So up here, baby, Yes, now, dude, I couldn't resist
when that ghost writer Bariant came through, which I bought
that one. Hell yeah, I did that ship so Bud
I didn't need. I was like, I knew you were.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Getting because that that that ghostwriter definitely looked like a
DJ ghostwriting brow.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
I saw that. I was like, let's go DJ Gholts
right up in here. Yeah all right.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
So for this actual patch, they actually didn't update cards,
uh specifically like in any way, like, they only changed
their wording. So they changed their wording on Shadow King,
they changed the wording on Moonnight and Barren Zemo, So
it doesn't change what they do. It's just they changed
(28:50):
the wording so it's clearer for people to understand what
it does. So other than that, that was the patch.
Thoughts on the patch guys.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Yeah, I don't know how to read, so it doesn't
make a difference.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
Dakota, I think everything was covered pretty well. The wording changes.
I wonder if that's anything to do with just there's
somebody there it's like I hate this, can we please
do this? And they finally like, okay, Cheryl, we got you. Like,
I don't know, it's kind of a weird thing to
do that, unless maybe some of those words is some
sort of coding that affects the new Activate that should
(29:27):
be coming out. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
I was gonna mention that maybe something has to do
with Activate.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
So yeah, So besides that, yeah, I'm cool with it.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Yeah. So Joe mentioned that the Shadow King works on
Colossus now because it's not considered lowering, it's just resetting,
and that's such a weird thing, right, Like shadow King
in order for them to combat the Luke Cage thing,
(29:55):
they had to be like, okay, shadow King doesn't care
about anybody else.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
You know, Can we all just admit that Classus had
just become too strong and really did need to be nerve,
like just just I see him too much. He's in
every deck. I'm so sick and tired of coming across
these like Colossus ridiculous overpowered decks. You know, I lose
(30:23):
to it every time, every single time.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Okay, I will say on you know, without Shadow King. Uh,
there was this deck that ran Colossus and then did
like a Wong Nomora thing, and I was just like,
what do I do? You can't kill it with Shong before,
you couldn't reset it with you know, uh Shadow King.
(30:47):
It's just like, well I lose.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
That lane, you win other lanes.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
I guess, good luck.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
So I guess it does help that there is a
way to combat that. But nobody was really playing Nomora,
you know.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
So it's just until she showed up on that like
bone Crusher deck out of nowhere for like a day
and ruin my life.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
It's okay, season's ending soon, so we're gonna have to
fight the ladder again.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
We got over a week over a week, you know what,
that's Uh, that's a week and a half from now
Don's problem exactly.
Speaker 1 (31:33):
I'm so ship. I'm so glad that it's not the
week I'm going to Maryland because I'd be like, what
am I doing here?
Speaker 3 (31:42):
Yeah, you'd only get it in like three hours, you
know it'd be dude.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
How would you function for those three hours?
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Crazy?
Speaker 1 (31:51):
I'll malfunction.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
The back all right.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
So now the time that we have been waiting for,
this will end the portion of Marvel Snap and we
will be spoiler alert. We will start going into the
most recent Marvel movie, Dead pull in the Wolverine. So
(32:18):
if you guys haven't seen it yet, I will give
you three seconds to exit. Okay, bye, guys, imagine and
we're done.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
There's nobody there.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
We haven't seen it either.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
We haven't seen it.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yell all right, So whoever has stayed you don't care
about spoilers. You know you're you're okay, we're talking about it.
Let me start off the conversation by mm hmm. This
movie has probably been the best Marvel movie released within
(32:58):
the past five years, probably even more ever since Endgame.
Endgame is five years ago, right something like that?
Speaker 2 (33:07):
Dude, don't do that. I don't even know. Let me
let me look up the old internwebs. I can't even
remember of the top of my head. It was before.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
I don't know. Guardians three was pretty good.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yeah, that was a phenomenal movie.
Speaker 1 (33:19):
Better better, though better than Dead Buel Wolverine. Story storyline
was better, Okay, story Okay, I.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Have to say yes, And I felt like that movie, like,
you know, at the end, you're just like, oh, you know,
it's just a big celebration of that series coming basically
to an end in a lot of ways. Don't get
me wrong, I love this movie, like so much fan
serviced in this movie. I was zero disappointed. So I'd
(33:52):
say maybe equal, but but yes, definitely one of the
best ones they put out in the long time.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Endgame came out two thousand and nine.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Team okay, so about five years ago. M Okay, Guardians.
Guardians of the Galaxy three came out twenty twenty three,
so just last year. Okay, Okay. I gotta say Guardians
did have a better story, but they also had I
don't know, I would contradict myself. I was like, they
(34:23):
had two movies before that, so did Deadpool. All right,
So yeah, I think Guardians had better story, but I
feel like Deadpool had better action in my in my opinion, but.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
I think it had more action that we've all been
just like we wanted to see on the big screen, Deadpool,
Wolverine fight. We wanted to see those iconic things that
we've seen in comics time and time again. Yeah, but
I will say that the action in Guardians three, I
don't know as someone who just loves like both movies
had phenomenal music, Okay, Jay as a sound guy, dude,
(35:05):
like I've been listening to the Deadpool soundtrack. I mean,
you all been in my truck, you'll hear it. It's
bye bye bye, and then we start the rest of
the day. It's NonStop. Feel right on that. But when
it comes to the visuals and everything, I feel like Guardians,
even from the first movie all the way up till now,
has always reigned supreme in their music choices. Like, oh yeah, music,
(35:27):
but definitely because something about that it was I think music.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
It was centered around music, right, it was basically centered
around Peter Quill having the the track.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
Players Walkman, Yes, got this man?
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Well it's actually a Walkman, not discman, because it was
his tape, right.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Yeah, it's a Walkman.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Okay, so yeah, man, I sent a rabbit hole here, guys,
the uh Guardians movie. It's like, Okay, I know it's
only been like two years, all right.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
You're not but Guardians if you haven't seen it yet spoilers.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
Spoilers for the Guardian movie. So I just just put
it out there. The story is better.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
If you haven't seen it. Go ahead and leave now.
We'll give you time to leave. Go open Disney Plus
and watch it.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Damn it don done.
Speaker 1 (36:28):
All right. So besides that, you know, throughout the whole
uh downfall, because they're you know, they were saying MCU
was going down. How would you guys? How excited are
you guys for the future of Marvel.
Speaker 3 (36:52):
I think I think there's some really cool stuff. So
we were talking out about before the podcast started. We
were talking about how the Russo brothers are coming back,
yes for the next couple of Avengers movies. Robert Downey
Junior is coming back as Doctor Doom spoiler alert. I'm
sorry if anyone doesn't.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
Know what Kevin seen Doomsday, leave now.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
So I think they're gonna We're gonna see some cool stuff.
It'll be interesting seeing them try to integrate Deadpool specifically,
into these movies, you know, because he is such a
fun character. Yes, and he does have you know, he's
a work with the mouth, right, it'll be interesting, it's
(37:39):
the Yeah, it's all rated. Yeah, it'll be interesting to
see how they induce him into it, how they bring
him into and how they kind of scale back some
of his stuff. But let's be honest, aren't we all
just gonna be amazed to see him, like Brian Reynolds,
alongside so many other well how many of them are
(38:01):
left even.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
But well, they're bringing a lot back, so.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
It would be fun to see a lot. It would
be real fun to see.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Well, especially with Secret Wars, right, because Secret Wars it
might bring back even more characters. So I mean that
that would be because you know, at the end of
the movie, he did save all those universes. That means
they still exist. So even though they said goodbye to
the Fox Universe, doesn't mean that those characters can't come
(38:31):
back still. Do you mean the Gambit exactly? The Gambit?
The Blade?
Speaker 3 (38:40):
Oh man, how excited were you guys when you saw like, oh, sorry,
I know for me when I saw Blade, I could
of help, but in the theater to be like, oh, shit.
I was so excited because I stayed away from as
many spoilers as possible. I had no idea that, you know,
Wesley Snipes, who's very old, was it going to be
(39:03):
in it?
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (39:05):
But I was just like, oh my goodness, like that.
That was one of my favorites.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
Yeah, so when when he showed up, unfortunately I did
see spoilers and I'm all about the spoilers. But unfortunately
he was introduced along Jennifer Garner, along with Channing Tatum
and Daphne Keane. They were all introduced in comic Con,
so also, uh, Chris Evans there, you know, they were
(39:31):
on the stage. I was just like, oh, I wish
this is This is the one that I wish I
didn't see because all of their cameos were so good
and I think I would have been lost my mind
if I saw if I didn't know about it. But
I guess, you know, my hype kind of like chilled,
so I was able to absorb it without getting so hyped.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
H I get you. Yeah, I lost it. I absolutely
died laughing. When he's like he's gonna say it adventures,
He's like flame on, He's like what the fuck? Like dude,
that the moment, the whole thing. And you know, my
wife she hasn't seen any of that nonsense. No, she hasn't.
(40:17):
So to hear her go, this is like a highlight
for me. I just it's like white. She goes, what
the fuck I mean, I'm dying and laughing because what's
happening right now in front of me. And then she
responds like that, I'm like, brother, this is amazing. So
much so she's like, we gotta watch all the older
you know, Marble stuff. Praise God, because she's she missed
(40:40):
all that. I made her watch Iron Man up until endgame.
Speaker 1 (40:44):
Oh after that stuff.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Yeah, I was like, let's watch this. I didn't make
her go through Ghostwrider. I didn't make her go through
Fantastic four any of the older things she has. I
don't think she's finished all the Spider Man's either with
took Me McQuire or the ones with Andrew Garfield.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
I don't think I forged. I don't think I finished
any of the Ghost Rider ones. I first, I saw
the first one. I don't think I saw the second.
I didn't. I definitely didn't see the second punisher or
is there a third punisher?
Speaker 2 (41:13):
I think there's two for sure. I don't know about
a third.
Speaker 3 (41:16):
Okay, there were two, but they are the same guys,
Prince there they're origin stories, right, okay, so both of
them are origin stories. And then you had the The Punisher,
which was you know, I saw three storytellings.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
Yeah, yeah, so I saw all the Netflix ones, but
I don't think I've finished the second ghost Rider and
the Second Punisher. Then, so, and there's no, we can't.
I can't find them anywhere. You actually have to like
buy it to rent it. I believe they're not on.
Speaker 3 (41:53):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (41:55):
Any streaming services?
Speaker 1 (41:56):
No, any not any streaming services that I have, at least,
so I only saw that it was on Amazon and
you have to buy it to watch it.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
I'm just like, you have a DVD player.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
You actually have them?
Speaker 2 (42:10):
I think I do. I have to go through my library,
but I'm pretty sure I have the ghost Writers.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
Okay, I don't. I was looking to see if any
of my computers have a disc thing, and I was
just like, no, I don't worries, no worries. Why don't
you just phone recorded a watch.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
We'll do a watch party with all of our followers
sit in here. We'll watch one of these movies.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
Okay, so let's let's okay. I know we kind of
went all over the place, but I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (42:43):
Let's stry. You know, you throw something out there, you
throw a little just watch the world burn. You know.
Speaker 2 (42:48):
Got me excited about Guardians three, I'm creep.
Speaker 1 (42:53):
Let's start at the beginning where he's he's at at
his work, where we're finding out that he is no
longer doing Deadpool Jess. Okay, because I know he's not
doing Deadpool anymore because he was not he was passed
(43:15):
over to join the Avengers. So how do you feel
about that? He actually went to the Sacred Timeline and asked,
what's his name? Jon Favreau? Yeah, happy, Yeah, happy to
join the Avengers because you know, uh, what's her name?
(43:37):
What's his his girl's name, Vanessa? See, thank you. So
Vanessa says she wants him to be do more, not
not do more, like be more like because he wasn't
doing anything right there there at the time. He wasn't mercenary.
I don't know what it's called. So how do you
(44:00):
guys feel about her wanting him to do more?
Speaker 3 (44:08):
I mean, I think it's just a plot, Like I
think that's where the story plot line like, Hey, how
do we do this as quick as possible? Yeah? Or
how can we get him into some mundane job? Well,
you're just not doing enough?
Speaker 1 (44:22):
Yeah, okay, Well he wasn't making money right that. I
think that was a thing because in the very first
dead Pool he was actually still a mercenary and he
was part of that that bar that was getting money
by doing mercenary stuff. So I'm like, in this one,
where did it go? Maybe? I guess story wise there's
(44:45):
like yeah, maybe not, and and.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Like another plot hole and I know I'm just going
to start something here. Is so he traveled to the
Sacred Timeline. Well, wasn't it just a time machine that
he had? Not a cross the universe like universal jumping thing?
And like, or are we saying that he exists in
the universe where the Avengers and the X Men exists already?
Speaker 2 (45:14):
I don't know, you, like I.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
Love the movie.
Speaker 1 (45:18):
Yeah, no, because you're right because in the at the
end of well no, no, okay, it was a universe
jumping one, right, because he jumped to at the end,
he jumped where he shot himself before taking the Green
Lantern movie.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
Oh, I get that. But that's not what Cable would exactly,
so they kind of changed that there.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
But he fixed it up with Negasonic exchange warhead and
what's her name? Yoki?
Speaker 1 (45:48):
Whoa her name?
Speaker 2 (45:51):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (45:54):
Ukiyo Yukio.
Speaker 2 (45:56):
No, So he maybe maybe she has the ability to
enhance it, and that's power of mutant nobilities, you know
what I'm saying, Like, maybe maybe that that could be.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
This feels like a stretch.
Speaker 1 (46:10):
It is, it definitely is.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
It's a dead Pool movie. Yeah, I mean, tell you
what's going on.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
I wasn't. I wasn't there after you saw literally the
opening sequence where all of a sudden, like he is
just killing people with Wolverine's dead corpse, like who cares?
Speaker 1 (46:28):
Yeah? Yeah right, because that's the thing. Like he he
goes back to his apartment before that, right before taking
by the TVA, and he goes, Oh, all the people
that I love are here, but you don't see the
guy from the bar. I forgot his name, Wade's friend,
the one that gave him the Deadpool name.
Speaker 2 (46:48):
Basically, I'm completely drawing a blank on his name.
Speaker 3 (46:51):
Yeah, that's because he doesn't do much shows anymore TV.
Speaker 1 (46:54):
Oh really in real life?
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Yeah, okay, did something happen.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
If I remember right, don't quote me because I could
be wrong here. I think he said some very non kosher,
non very offensive things and basically wasn't brought back for
the movie.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
Okay, Okay, makes sense, Okay, I didn't know that. Yeah,
I mean if James Gunn can It was James Gunn
that got fired from Guardians right for a little bit
because he said something in like twenty eleven and he
tweeted something. So I mean if it was more recently,
then I guess I understand Disney's standpoint on a lot
of stuff. But yeah, that sucks. He was kidded. They
(47:45):
didn't bring back Cable, They didn't bring back Domino.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
Yeah, what the heck was Domino?
Speaker 1 (47:52):
They brought back Shatterstar, and they brought back Peter. What
happened to the Vanisher too? Did did they still die
at the end?
Speaker 3 (48:03):
Like did he just say you didn't see the Banisher?
He was in there, he was there the whole time.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
A lot of people were saying it was because Chris
Evans took a lot of the budget.
Speaker 2 (48:18):
Dude, if that's legit. When he made that comment too,
that's even better.
Speaker 1 (48:21):
Yeah, so he's just like oh, he had to die
because of the budget. But okay, so after that he
gets taken by a TVA that he's basically introduced to
that in his universe, their Logan was there, what Nexus
being basically Yeah, so there's Anchor being, Nexus being and
(48:47):
uh in What If they called Doctor the Girl dying
and Doctor Strange was like a nexus event nexus event
or something like that, and the NeXT's event was used
for the Spider Man. Yeah, I forgot what they called
it in What If? But then I think it's three
the same thing, right, something has to happen, somebody has
(49:09):
to be there. It's that certain person or that action, right.
Speaker 2 (49:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
So because Logan dies in the Logan movie and it's
in the same universe as Deadpool, the timeline degrades, but
then it takes a while to degrade. So it's pretty
funny that it degrades. But I believe the Logan movie
(49:35):
was like years, like or decades ahead of the actual
Deadpool timeline.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
I'm gonna look it up because that was my thing too.
It's like, if that's the case in the Logan universe,
like mutants aren't a thing anymore because the government's putting
stuff in their food and all those.
Speaker 1 (49:54):
Yeah, but then if you go into a Deadpool's universe,
Colossus is still there, all those mutants arets there, right,
So it happens in the future of their future of
that timeline. So why couldn't he just save the logan
that is in his present and prevent him from dying.
(50:16):
I don't know that that was you know, plot another
plot hole. But after that happens, he's taken, he steals
the TVAS thing, and then he goes into to logan
and you know, that's when the fight happens. That one
was really good. That fight introduced the n Sync move
(50:41):
song and which was great. That's when the intro that
was basically the intro song. And I'm kind of getting
peeved by people that are posting it because they're learning
the dance, but they're calling it the Deadpool dance.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
Yes, I was cracking up about that.
Speaker 3 (51:08):
That's funny how they were just disappeared.
Speaker 1 (51:11):
It's just an empty plate, yo, that's a big enchilada,
you know. So, uh, Basically, he fights the TVA and
then ends up taking the TVA's device to go find
a anchor being to replace the logan that they lost, right,
(51:37):
so that's why he travels to different universes to different
to find a different Logan. So there is a lot
of Logan's scene the I think the very first one
was the comic accurate one, right, yeah, yeah. So the
(51:58):
thing I like about this, the accurate one, is he
actually jumps off of a bar store to get to
approach him. Now, I thought that would have been played
by either like Daniel Radcliffe or uh Danny DeVito. Now
(52:21):
I've heard rumors that Daniel Radcliffe was like being looked
at to be the next Wolverine because of his height,
But I've also heard Danny DeVito dressed Did he dress
up as a Wolverine and it's always sending for Philadelphia?
Speaker 3 (52:39):
Oh man, I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
I can't remember if he.
Speaker 1 (52:41):
Did or not, because I thought that's why what the
talks were about him him trying, you know, just being
a cameo. But we see other ones, just like a
patch where he's a more sophisticated one. We see a
that's missing an arm, we see one that's fighting the Hulk,
(53:07):
we see one on an X. Right, he was on
an X just like Magneto in the comic book, all right.
In the next Man ninety seven. But he wasn't in
his underwear? Right he was? Or was he in his underwear?
Speaker 2 (53:21):
His underwear?
Speaker 3 (53:22):
Ah?
Speaker 1 (53:22):
Okay, So I wonder if that's a thing because they
did it to Magneto in X Men ninety seven.
Speaker 2 (53:28):
Yeah, it's from the Reavers. That issue is a wild
ass comic takes place in Australia. I after we saw
the movie, I was like, I gotta learn more about
this ship. That was a wild comic. Okay, absolutely insane.
Speaker 1 (53:42):
Okay. So next we he sees, uh, did I miss
any before I go to the the other cameo I
can think of? Okay, So he sees the Cavil reen Okay.
So we talked about Henry Cavill quite a bit of
(54:05):
episodes ago on who you know he was. He was
kind of being eyed to play a a part in
the MCU, and we talked about him being Cyclops, not
that he still can't, but what do you guys, how
do you guys feel about him actually being Wolverine.
Speaker 3 (54:29):
I don't see them making him Wolverine. I mean like
that's taking Wolverine from like already being way bigger to
like even a larger muscular like it's ridiculously bigger. It's like,
you know what, you know what, everyone liked this, this
big wolverine who's six foot you know it's better six
(54:51):
foot three and twenty percent more muscle. Let's go how
supersize him?
Speaker 1 (55:01):
How about you, Dakode, how would you feel about him?
Speaker 2 (55:05):
Honestly, if that's the only role that he's allowed to
be in because he likes it that much or I
don't know why, you know, when it comes down to it,
I'm for it. I don't really care if it's comically
accurate at this point because we already saw what the
comically accurate is and it's a joke. So I'm like, bro,
let's let it roll. I'm in with that.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
See okay, I'm I'm I'm with Don if he I'm
actually like fifty percent with both of you. So if he,
if he has chosen, that's fine because we already have
a tall wolverine and we're used to it. Right, But
they can't have a puny Cyclops, right. You'd have to
(55:46):
make Cyclops even more imposing that and that's the thing
that's gonna be hard to do. So if they could
make Henry Cavil Cyclops, I'm still for it, and then.
Speaker 4 (56:02):
And the Rock cyclop no, no, please, God, no, I
don't want Kevin Hart or the Rock anywhere near the Cyclops.
Speaker 2 (56:15):
No, get them out of here. The Rock is psyching Wolverine, Yeah,
you want get out of here.
Speaker 1 (56:29):
Don's onto something.
Speaker 3 (56:32):
Let's be honest. They do a backstory. Okay, follow me.
They do backstory on Wolverine. And you have Kevin Hart
as Puck, right, which.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
Good, okay, all right, let him cook.
Speaker 3 (56:49):
And then and then you have uh, Dwayne Johnson as Canada.
Speaker 1 (56:59):
What is it Canada?
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Squatch? You just haven't played Maui. You know, you just
emerged the universes. It's all Disney. It's fine, like you know,
you're welcome.
Speaker 1 (57:14):
Oh man. Okay. So the last one he sees is
the one that you know, becomes the the Wolverine that
is in the movie. And basically this is basically a
loser Wolverine that failed his universe. He got he you know,
long story short, he went out to get drunk while
(57:35):
everybody got slaughtered, right, and then he came back and yeah,
everyone was dead. So he failed his universe after that Deadpool.
Since he brings it back, they basically say, hey, I
got a replacement for our anchor being and doesn't work
(57:56):
like that supposedly, and so they start running away or no,
they get they get what is it? When they got
put the wand what did they call that? Do you
guys remember? Like they get it's not taste? They get like, uh,
they get sent.
Speaker 2 (58:16):
To the get what do they call that?
Speaker 3 (58:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (58:21):
They called it something. I just I can't think of
it right now. I'm on the.
Speaker 3 (58:27):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
So they get sent to the Void where they come
across uh, basically Chris Evans as Johnny Storm thinking it's
Captain America and they come across saber Tooth and you
know these uh basically it was what was the Mad
Max kind of style, right, So you see Sabertooth, you
(58:51):
see Pyro, you see Toad, you know all all those
people and he kills saber Tooth fast. Oh wait no,
they fight each other first, right, so great fight. But
you know they can come across all these people and
they're taken to see Cassandra Nova. And this was like
(59:13):
kind of perfect because when it came out, Cassandra was
in Deadpool's diner. So the the release of this stuff
on Marvel Snap is actually on point. Yes, So they
get to Cassandra, and you see more of these what
(59:36):
is it cameos? So you see a Juggernaut look alike.
It's not the same Juggernaut because the guy that played
Juggernaut didn't want to supposedly. But you see X twenty three,
you see a Zazel, you see diez Remember who else?
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
I think the Pixie version that's from uh It First
Class was there?
Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
Okay, that was her? So that was Pixie?
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Okay, Yeah, then I think was Sidelock from Apocalypse there
as well, that's what I heard. I had.
Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
Lady death Strike.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Lady oh I said XTU three. I was wrong. It
was it's Lady death Strike.
Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
The villain from the Punisher, the Russian he was there.
Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
Okay. So yeah, we see a lot of these bad
guys that were they're basically under Cassandra Nova. And she's
collecting people. Is that what she wants? She's just collecting
people to make you know, And she wanted a Wolverine.
Is that what it was?
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
I think you choose just starting collecting people to start
a war.
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Right against the TVA. Yeah, okay, so that's sounds about right.
I just didn't know like why she wanted Wolverine because
she didn't want Deadpool, right, she said Deadpool. There were
like diamond dozen. She had a bunch of them, you know,
as you find out later in the movie. So Wolverine
is not okay with that, and they make a break
(01:01:18):
for it. Basically they survive by jumping out like a
out of a sentinel. Did you get another one or
is that the same one?
Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
I am?
Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
Thank you, Katy, I know, man, wait to invite us over.
You could have done the podcast from on camera. You
get the blessing watching me eat it?
Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
All right?
Speaker 1 (01:01:49):
So, uh m, well what happens next?
Speaker 3 (01:01:53):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
Yeah, they make a break for it from like a
sentinel foot or something.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
Yeah, they user set no foot away from a.
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Yeah, to get to escape Alith, which they made Aliath
look badass. This Aliath looks way better than the Lociolith.
Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
That hand dart variant is exactly what he looks like. Now,
I love it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
Uh. So they end up talking and all you know,
then they come across nice Pool. They come across uh
dog dog dog Pool and nice Pool before they meet
uh the other cameos. Now, what did you think about
(01:02:41):
nice Pool?
Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
It was fun? Yeah, I think it was just hilarious
just seeing first of all dog Pool and then having
that character just like, ok, it's funny because, like you know,
Pool so ugly underneath his mask, and he is a
pretty ugly dog.
Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
For dog Pool, it's such a hideous dog, the ugliest
dog I've ever seen. It's like, I don't know why
depos acting like this is such a cute dog. I
would literally like, oh God, get away from me.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
So I believe, if I'm not mistaken, it was like
voted the ugliest dog. I don't know if it was
in Australia or Europe. It was somewhere. It was voted
like the ugliest dog. And it's a she, so it
just makes it, you know, even more funnier. But but yeah,
(01:03:36):
they come across them and then he gives them a
vehicle and they basically, well a vehicle did he make
fun of it? Was like ant it was a Teota.
Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
Honda, Honda was a Honda Odyssey.
Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
Was osh. Yeah. They end up driving away and they
end up fighting in the Honda Odyssey and their second fight,
which you know, both fights were amazing, choreographed, really great.
He always, you know, whenever he uses baby knife, he
always says baby knife.
Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
So was hilarious.
Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
And then as they end their fight, you know, you
see it like hours later and Deadpool's like wrapped up
in the seat belts. But then somebody takes the car
and takes them to their hideout and we find out
it was you know, X twenty three, and she's there
with you know, uh blanking Blade, Gambit and Electra. So
(01:04:43):
they talk about, you know, taking over a Cassandra Nova's base,
and so they go there to the base and we
get to see a fight using all of them. How
did you guys? You know, it's kind of hard, you know,
when you have a lot of characters, and you know,
this is even more props to people that did you
(01:05:04):
know Endgame, the story writers of Endgame and Infinity War, Right,
you have so many characters that do such different things,
and you got to give them a thing to do,
like each of them. Right, So, how do you guys
feel about like when that happened? Like stuff like that happens,
(01:05:26):
like because we haven't seen Gambit at all in any
other movie. Yeah, we saw Lectra, Yeah we saw Blade,
but they're fighting their enemies are so different from what
we've seen in the MCU, right, Like Blade fights vampires
X twenty three. She you know, the last person she
(01:05:47):
probably fought was her dad. You know, in logan, Jennifer
Garner is just a tough girl. She's I mean in
the movies.
Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. If I'm not.
Speaker 1 (01:06:02):
Mistaken, she's yeah, if I'm not mistaken, she was trained
by the hand, right.
Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Yeah, I mean just say that. Electra is just a girl.
I mean, that's that's ah wow, mar She doesn't have
any She's like a really tough girl. She doesn't have
any human superhuman abilities, right, and neither does Black Widow.
Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
But you know, but she has electric electric thingies and guns.
She has guns. Electra has Raphael's size.
Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
She got a Raphael. You didn't messing with that. Come on,
see what that turtle can do. I don't want to mess.
Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
So, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:06:51):
Uh, And then you have Daphne King, which is like
I was kind of disappointed in X twenty three we
didn't get to see her fight using her clause as much.
I didn't really see her like, I don't know, I
was hoping for like more of a wolverine. You know
how his fighting style changed. He's a different wolverine, right,
(01:07:14):
so his fighting style change. He was more animalistic, so
that that I was I was hoping to see something
like that because in Logan she was the one that
was animalistic. She was very low to the ground. But
you didn't really see too much of that because I
guess she's just a side character. So so they.
Speaker 3 (01:07:39):
Man mark you are not doing well tonight, not doing
well at all, you know, just a tough chick and
a side chick. Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
Wow, Well she has power, she has her general rate
of abilities, so she's a step ahead of Electra, probably
two steps. But we we all so see them fight
for Juggernaut's helmet, right because they're saying that the only
way to stop Cassandra overs to get juggernauts helmet and
(01:08:11):
just to put it on her and then take it off,
and then she sends them back to their their universe
where she ends up going.
Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
Yeah, I find me. Yeah, that scene in Deadpool when
she lets them go back to the universe. Yeah, and
she uses the sling ring that she got from who
knows what variant of of the Wizards or whatever. That
song choice that they used I'll be Seeing You by Jimmy.
(01:08:48):
I think it's Durant, my grandma and grandpa that was
like their song. So for me, that scene had so
much more, just like like the slow mo effect. She's like,
you got four seconds to either leave through this or
life gets you. And it was such an awesome moment cinematography, music.
I was so just like, Oh, this is what I
(01:09:11):
love about Marvel when they have those moments that you
can just think about and you're like, I mean since
that I've only seen this movie once and that scene
has replayed in my head so many times and again,
that song has a lot of meaning to me. But
I'm telling you, I just have to bring that up.
Like that scene so awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
All right, So basically they go back to their own time,
try and stop excuse me, try and stop the time
ripper trying to get back to paradox right, and then
they you know, fast forward. They end up saving the place,
but they also fight a bunch of Deadpools, which there
(01:09:52):
were so many different dead polls, baby Pool, kid Pool, Headpool.
What was that.
Speaker 3 (01:10:04):
But the Gail Goodo who played the the girl.
Speaker 1 (01:10:11):
Yeah, no, it was Blake. It was Blake. Yeah. A
lot of people thought it was Taylor Swift because they're
very good friends, but no, it was Blake. Lively, which
which is really fitting.
Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
I wish they I.
Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
Wish they actually showed, you know, Blake Lively, because then
we could have seen like an ugly Blake Lively, which
is you know, I love to see how you could
make that woman hideous.
Speaker 2 (01:10:41):
But is Lady Deadpool hideous?
Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
Though I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 2 (01:10:47):
I could have sworn that a lot of the illustrations
I've seen. She has a normal let me see.
Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
Okay, yeah, but before that, nice Pool comes back and
it's so that that scene was so funny where he
he's as nice pull as a shield because he thinks
he has a healing factor. Uh, but he does that
just to get his guns in the end, which is amazing.
(01:11:13):
And then they they save the world by destroying the
time Ripper machine. And then we see how jacked Hugh
Jackman is still, which is insane. This guy is like
fifty five man, I can see why. Yeah, they get
(01:11:37):
huge jacked man. Yeah, I can see why he has
You know, you can get fatigue from filming movies like
this because that guy's you know, he's up there, but
he's stay he has to stay in great shape, you know.
And on top of that, what he says is he
dehydrates himself to see you can see the veins more,
(01:11:58):
you can see the abs more, just by doing that stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:12:02):
So o good you that was an awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:12:08):
Scene too, man, like da, I'm just talking about Jack.
It was so good.
Speaker 1 (01:12:15):
So oh and he dons the mask of Wolverine. Yes,
what did you guys think about that?
Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
I loved it. It was just like.
Speaker 1 (01:12:30):
It looks so cg. I though I don't either. It's
just you know, the the continuity in me. I was like,
where where was it hiding? You know, it would be
cool if it was just like a hood flapping in
the back, right. Yeah. So he's like, you know, it's there,
he just hasn't put it on. And then the whole
(01:12:52):
time you're like, when is he gonna put it on?
What is he gonna put it on? But then this
just appeared out of nowhere, just like oh I had.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
This, dude. They're like sky Room characters. They just they
just got to find it and then boom, there it is.
Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
I mean you did miss the most important plot point though,
What was that one? Peter the day? Oh?
Speaker 1 (01:13:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
So yeah, balls up with that stack man When he
came in.
Speaker 1 (01:13:19):
I was just like, wait, really, I didn't notice that.
Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
I mean, I wasn't looking.
Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
It was hard to miss. Homie was packing heat. Man,
he had what was the what's the benign.
Speaker 1 (01:13:35):
Benine and a half?
Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
I was like, what the No?
Speaker 3 (01:13:42):
I didn't see that.
Speaker 1 (01:13:43):
I didn't either, But I loved in the very beginning
where he was talking about, Yeah, I have this friend.
You know, he was going through something and he just
got two nipple piercings that led straight down and he goes,
it's just a friend, it's not me, And then you
see him in the party he lifts up his you know,
the So Peter saves the day. They say that every
(01:14:08):
world has a Peter, and you know, I guess Peter
is their guy. So it stops them from fighting so
they could save the world their world basically, and they
save their world. The TVA actually finds out what Paradox
is doing and they put an end to it, and
basically Wolverine gets to stay and he mentions to the
(01:14:33):
TVA lady that, hey, we have some friends that were
in the void. Is there something you can do about it?
And she goes, I'll see what I can do. In
the end, you see that X twenty three is with
them because supposedly she's from that universe. That's the universe
she actually came from. And the other ones the reason
(01:14:54):
why they weren't in there because they weren't in that universe.
They were returned back to their own universe. So Gambit
was returned to his own universe, Electra and Blade same thing.
So there was a lot of questions about that, like, hey,
we see X twenty three, what happened to the others, right,
So supposedly they were returned, and supposedly their timeline because
(01:15:16):
of what happened, is continuing exponentially, so we don't know
what's gonna happen. It was a nice send off to
Fox's universe. I hear that Secret Wars is going to
be centered around Wolverine, so he's going to be one
(01:15:40):
of the main ones. And he said he's only going
to come back if he gets to act alongside Toby
McGuire and Robert Downey Jr.
Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Are you serious?
Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
Yeah, So we're going to get another Toby McGuire Spider Man.
We know Robert Downey Jr. Is coming back as Doom,
so he's going to act a lot. You know, he's
not gonna you know, be Iron Man. When he's acting
alongside uh, Hugh Jackman, which is crazy. So that's going
(01:16:16):
to be exciting, now, boy, overall, out of ten, what
would you guys rate this movie?
Speaker 3 (01:16:29):
Are we talking about like getting real technical or we're
talking about what my heart says? My heart?
Speaker 1 (01:16:35):
Okay, okay, from my heart.
Speaker 3 (01:16:38):
I love the movie. I will watch it probably five
or six more times when it comes to Disney. Plus.
I mean, you know, in a row fiver six times
the door, I will just be on a constant loop.
You know, my wife will get sick and tired of it,
and me and my son will just be there, you know,
(01:17:00):
having too much fun the whole time. But uh, yeah,
I really, I really really enjoyed this movie. I loved
the cameos. I loved just all the little things that happened.
It was good to see so many things going on.
I mean, who doesn't I love the Deadpool movies in
(01:17:20):
the first place, but to get to see him to
do it with a budget this time, where the last
couple of times the budget has been a lot less, Yeah,
you know, it was really nice to see. I was
worried originally when obviously Disney bought the Fox Universe. We
knew the third Deadpool movie was going to be a
(01:17:43):
Disney produced movie, but it's good to see that they
didn't completely fuck it up.
Speaker 1 (01:17:48):
Yeah, I mean, the only the only thing they did
they changed basically was don't show cocaine, right, so even
making it, Yeah, they made a joke about it, but
they couldn't show it. I didn't say they don't talk
about it, right, They use all the nicknames on it,
but they didn't show it. So I guess that was
the only thing FIGI didn't want was drug. You've shown,
(01:18:11):
so win's a win, wins win. Yeah, you know, it's
it's not so not so bad if we don't have
to see cocaine. How about yourself, Dakota, what would you
rate it?
Speaker 2 (01:18:23):
I'm right there with Ton. I mean the whole time.
I had a big smile on my face from start
to finish. I was pumped, especially the end credits. I
couldn't stop laughing at that scene. Oh, this one's a
ten in my heart. When it comes down to the
cliche like I need to be more whatever, I felt
like the story was just a little bit lacking, but
(01:18:44):
there were so many great things that happened along the
movie that I kind of didn't care. Yeah, you know
what I mean, Like it was just like, dude, this
movie is everything that little kid me always wants those
moments in a movie always wants, you know what I mean,
just to like actually see all this unfold on the
big screen. It just makes you so happy. And so
(01:19:05):
for me, this was right up there. This is probably
my all time favorite just happiness movie. Like I'll watch
the same time I want. You know, I cannot wait
for this come out because I'll throw this on all
the time. It's like, oh yes, it's just got all
those things you love, and the humor in it is
honestly my favorite. You know, everyone in my family growing
(01:19:25):
up a little rough around the edges and how we
talk to each other. This is exactly what I love.
This is like home for me. So I'm like, oh,
I love it.
Speaker 1 (01:19:34):
No bars hold jokes, you know, it's like you don't
have to worry about people's feelings. Jokes.
Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
Yeah, No one gets offended, and that's why I like.
I mean, they even said the R word on this one,
which I was surprised they dropped that down, and I'm like, okay, cool,
Like are people not as offended anymore? Is this okay,
can we start? Are we eminem in? This is things
coming back to reality? I don't know, but yeah, they
had a lot of things. They pushed the boundaries on.
I was shocked that this is a Disney thing, a
(01:20:01):
Disney film. But you know what, similar to the other
Deadpool movies, there's so much just like boom joke, craziness, fun,
and then there's these serious moments like when you actually
hear why this Wolverine is the worst?
Speaker 3 (01:20:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:20:15):
Yeah, Like that scene really draws you in, and I
really I think that's what makes these movies so good.
It's similar to I know you mentioned Guardian three. It's
similar to that. You have so much hies and then
there's these just serious moments where as adults we understand
things a little bit differently now, and it's cool to
have the mixture.
Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
Even though that scene was just to lure Casandra nova in,
they made it like hit right, Like you didn't know
where they were going with it, like how are they
gonna do this? You know, until it happened.
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:20:51):
So last question I have for you guys is are
there name two characters you would have liked to see
in the movie. So I'll start with the let me
give you, let me give you like fifteen seconds ghost Rider. Okay, okay, okay, okay.
(01:21:16):
The code has his go ahead ghost Sider and.
Speaker 2 (01:21:19):
Ghost Rider for sure, So I want Ghostwriter and cosmic Ghostwrider.
That's it. That's all I quicken need to forget about it. Yeah,
ghost writers right there, and then, honestly, I would have
loved just because my top two. Obviously, I would love
(01:21:39):
to have seen a venom in some way, shape or form.
I know that's so out of left field.
Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
But like Eric Norman Venom.
Speaker 2 (01:21:48):
No, like Eddie Brock Venom, Eddie Brox.
Speaker 1 (01:21:51):
So uh so Tom Hardy, Tom Hardy, Okay, you.
Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Know, it's just like makes no sense. But I would
be like, at this point we're throwing in stuff like that.
I would yeah, love that. He's just Sony. He's Sony,
He's not that's right.
Speaker 1 (01:22:07):
But Ghostwriter is Fox, right, I believe.
Speaker 2 (01:22:11):
So let me see.
Speaker 1 (01:22:15):
How about you done?
Speaker 3 (01:22:17):
Man? That's a great question, because like the name that
popped into my head first was green Goblin. But I
know we just saw that actually not too long ago, right,
William Dafoe. But but we saw him and the Spider Man.
So I don't think I would go there. We we
can kind of eliminate all the Spider Man stuff because
we did see them. Yeah, you won't see stuff that
(01:22:39):
you haven't seen. Yeah, I think it would have been
fun if they would have pulled in like the Punisher
from the Netflix series, you know, something around that, because
like they went Fox, they went, like just kind of
pull some.
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Of that in.
Speaker 3 (01:22:55):
Yeah, that probably would be one. So let's see what
else would I think it would have been cool to
see Cyclops come back, you know, or or even just
have like a Phoenix Force fly over like the area. Okay,
(01:23:16):
like a Jean Gray. Oh, Jean Gray. Jean Gray. I
think I would love to see that too, because because
you could have that whole interaction of like, because Jean
Gray and Wolverine, you know, he allowed them to die
in this universe, as well as seeing him react with
a a Jing Gray character, I think that would have
(01:23:37):
been just amazing.
Speaker 1 (01:23:40):
Okay, So for me, I feel like I would have
loved to see both Professor x's in both franchises, just
because I think it would have they could have done
a little story where Cassandra no of uh, you know,
(01:24:00):
killed them in the sense, but also like why, you know,
like because we hear the story about them on like
why they're why she doesn't like Professor Xavier. But I
would have liked that interaction between brother and sister, right,
I think that would Yeah, that would have made the
story more like, Yo, she she's a villain, right, she
(01:24:24):
just killed two Professor Axes. You know she really doesn't
like them. But what are you looking for, Dakota?
Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
I got eighties of Gypti in here right now. I'm
not even kidding. I saw it just now.
Speaker 1 (01:24:39):
You should call somebody.
Speaker 3 (01:24:45):
Yeah, so you're telling people where you're at boxing, I
don't know where yourself.
Speaker 1 (01:24:53):
All right, So you said ghost you said ghost writer?
Who was your second one?
Speaker 2 (01:25:00):
I was thinking venom just because there's so many cool
arcs that you could have with that character. The Symbiote
and him go through so much that it'd be cool
to have that chance to get the Venomize, Wolverine, the
Venomize all this, you know what I'm saying, Like, there's
so many awesome stories where they all combine. That's just me.
I'm like, I love anything symbiote, So I'm like, that'd
(01:25:22):
be so cool to have something like that. I know,
that's super out of left field. I don't know how
that would really fit in anything, because if we're going
on brand, it's gonna be something along the X Men.
So I think what Don said is probably more like it. Yeah,
the blob.
Speaker 1 (01:25:37):
That would have been amazing, because the blob was there
was a blob blob ish figure in X Men three
where like he's like walking around right, and then they're
meeting in the church and then like he goes to
sit down and he turns skinny. Oh, it wasn't the
(01:25:59):
blob that we know, because the block that we know
wasn't like X Men origins or Wolverine origins. So it
was just funny that a big guy like that was there.
And then I guess his power was to turn fat.
Oh you know what.
Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
Hang on Gwen Poole, I was expecting her to be
in this. I was like, Okay, I mean the fact
that this is here's the thing. Not only has it
been Marvel Snap, but it's also in Fortnite both characters
or the exact characters in both. So I was like, dude,
I was fully expecting Gwen Pole to pop up in this.
(01:26:33):
So that was kind of like, like, what the heck.
And then Vanessa. You know, his love interest is Copycat,
so I was like, oh shit, maybe she's gonna this
movie have powers. But that didn't happen either, So.
Speaker 1 (01:26:44):
Yeah, I think it would. I think uh Copycat would
have taken uh story away from Wolverine. But on the
other Gwen Pool just to have it as a easter egg.
I feel like they should it should have been she
should have been there.
Speaker 2 (01:27:00):
Yeah, I didn't see her. If she was at some point.
Speaker 1 (01:27:04):
Was Gwen Poole a mercenary?
Speaker 2 (01:27:10):
I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (01:27:12):
Also, is it is it based off of Gwen Stacy?
Speaker 3 (01:27:16):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:27:17):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
I'm pretty sure it is.
Speaker 1 (01:27:21):
I think so because because there's Spider Gwen, and then
if it's Gwen Pool like the same Gwen, then I
could see why they didn't do it, because that's Sony.
See all right, Dakota is doing a look up real quick,
some fact some researching, but uh, for me, I just
(01:27:46):
want to do my rating. I feel Don's rating was perfect.
It's a great movie. Well, you mentioned earlier story a
little lacking, But like I said, I think it's because
I didn't feel anything for Paradox or for Cassandra Nova. Right,
(01:28:10):
they were supposed to be the enemies of the movie.
I just feel like they weren't great enemies. So that
was the only reason why the story kind of lacked
for me, because once they were through, it just felt like,
that's that's what I sat down for. You know, it
(01:28:31):
was kind of anti climactic. So did you did you
find it?
Speaker 2 (01:28:38):
Yeah? They're not the same?
Speaker 1 (01:28:39):
Okay, Well, what's the name of Gwen Pool? Like, what's
her actual name?
Speaker 2 (01:28:43):
Gwen Pool? Is Gwendolyn Pool?
Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:28:49):
First, that's Gwendolyn is her first name Pools And it's
p O O L E. And it's very it's a
lot of bold that they're not the same person and
this character. The reason why they also went with this
is they originally thought that this would just be a
variant of her, but because of issues of owning, they
created a whole new character so they could run this
issue because Winpool is, like you just mentioned under sony,
(01:29:14):
I see, I'm sorry, Yeah, no, Gwen Stacy, he is
under sure, Okay, So that was that's why they also
made sure that she was not the same. It says
even though they have similar appearances, they are not the same.
So yeah, cool, they.
Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
Go on that all right then?
Speaker 1 (01:29:31):
Correct, So anything else you guys would like to add.
