Hace mucho tiempo, los gigantes vivían entre las montañas solitarias de Alsacia. En la cima de la montaña más alta, había un castillo llamado Burg Niedeck y era ahí donde el más poderoso de los gigantes vivía con su esposa y su hija llamada Frida.

Long ago, the giants lived amongthe lonely mountains of Alsace. At the
top of the highest mountain there wasa castle called Burgni and Edec, and
that was where the most powerful ofthe giants lived with his wife and daughter,
called Frida. Frida, who wasas tall as a church bell tower.

valley where the small people lived.These people were peasants who farmed the land
and planted wheat and barley corn.They also pruned their vineyards and dug ditches,
