(02:47):
Good morning, good morning, good morning. We're gonna go ahead
and get started this morning. Gonna first start us off
in prayer, and then I'm gonna go ahead and go
as according Father God of that ain't cheese. Lord, I
thank you for this opportunity. I thank you for this space.
I thank you for this new day that I've never
seen before, that I will never see again. Father asked
(03:08):
that you decrease me in the flesh for God and
allow your EXPERI man to come forth for God, that
somebody may see you through us on today, through me
on today, through the things that bring you glory. Lord,
God Father, we thank you because you've given us gifts
and talents for God, that it may make our name great,
and it would make room for us or God. So Father,
we thank you on this morning for thinking of us
(03:28):
for God and for assuring us through your word of
your promises or God. So Father, we thank you, We
we love you, we honor you, we bring you glory.
And Father asked that you will cover this lesson this
morning as I pour our Lord God, I asked that
you will fill me up afresh with your knowingt and r.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
God. Father, do not.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Allow me to go straight or lead anyone a straight,
Lord God, but keep me on a straight and narrow
study to show thyself approved.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Lord. I thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
I thank you right now for just giving me the
ability to to share with your people.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Lord God. I'm not a theologian.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I don't walk in no offices, but I walk in
experience and the things that you have done for me.
So Father, I will not sit down on it, but
I will tell it from the world. So Father asked
that you decrease me in the flesh and allow your
spirit man to comfort, that you may be glorified during
this time that I have right here before your people.
Lord God used me on today, and this is my prayer,
your son Jesus name, I prayer.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
A man amen, a man a man a man.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
I thank Him for each and every one of you
guys that have been on this journey with me, that
have been following and supporting these daily devotions for the
last since March. We started in March, and I thank
God for this space. I thank Him for allowing me
to cross the path of the many that I have
ass But I'm going to go ahead and dive into
(04:48):
this lesson on today because I.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Do not want to be before you, loan.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I want to try to be out of here by
nine or before nine if possible. Yeah, our scripture today
is going to be coming from Proverbs three Versus five
and six. And this is a scripture that we all
know a lot of us should know it out by
heart because it's one that you often were here quoted.
(05:14):
But that scripture today is say, trusting the Lord with
all thy heart, and lean not on your own understanding
in all thy ways. Acknowledge Him and he is direct,
and he shall direct your path.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Again.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
That is a King James version again, trusting the Lord
with all the heart, lean not on your own understanding
in all your ways, submit unto him and he will
make your path straight. Today's topic is trusting God to
direct your path. Trusting God to direct your path. It's
(05:52):
the name of the topic on today, trusting God to
direct your path. Your affirmation for today is I trust
God's divine plan for my life, knowing that he guides
me with love and wisdom. I trust gods divine plan
for my life, knowing that He guides me with love
and wisdom. So a little backstory on this scripture. Proverbs
(06:17):
is wisdom literature largely attributed to King Solomon, and this
happened in the tenth century BC and compiled over time.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
Chapters one through.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Nine read like a father's instruction to his son, urging
the pursuit of wisdom routed in the fear of the Lord,
and Proverbs three it urges the covenant, loyalty, and practical wisdom.
Verses five and six set a at the heart of
this chapter, constracting self reliance with God, allowance, and promising
(06:54):
divine guidance to those who trust and submit their ways
unto the Lord. In Hebrew, trust means yadah, That's why,
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
I got that wrong.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Trust conveys I'm sorry. In Hebrew, trust conveys secure confidence.
Acknowledge implies relationship knowing and submission and direct your path.
Picture God making the way straight clear in his time.
Our word of the day is acknowledged, and that in
(07:33):
Hebrew is yadah.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
That's what I messed up on, y'all.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
But in Hebrew it means YadA, meaning to know, to recognize,
and to submit. To be in a relationship with It
is more than to not to God. It is to
invite Him in and to allow Him in every decision,
plan and path. How do we practice that? We do
(07:59):
it before, during, and after decision making. We have to
pause and allow the Lord, seek his heart and align
with his word.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Yield your will to his will.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Whole hearted trust beats practical practice and partial practice. Trusting
with all thy heart leaves no hidden moon for backup
plans or replace gode. Divided trust breeds anxiety. Whole hearted
trust brings rootiness. So if you if you're experiencing anxiety,
(08:40):
if you are experiencing division, you're experiencing a lot of
different things.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
You have to check. You have to apply the.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
Word and see if you're truly trusting God, if you're
truly allowing him to lead you. What are your thoughts
rooted in? What is your heart routed in Because remember,
he touches the heart, he knows the heart. So if
you want to know how you can be assured that
(09:10):
you are rooted in him by surrendering daily. You can
write down those things that you can't control and allow
him to take over those things. You can pray, Lord,
place these things. I place these things in your hand.
You can tell them every day, these things that are
bothering you, these things that are bringing you anxiety, these
things that are troubling you.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
You can give it to him. You can place it
in his hand and allow him to.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Do what he said he would do. See a lot
of us we want to be honest, We want to
continue to hold on to a lot of this stuff.
We don't want to trust him because a lot of
us are complacent. We're happy in that miserable place. We're
happy in that place where we want to say that
(09:54):
we're dealing with this, and we're dealing with that, and
we're dealing with that. When if you give it to him,
you won't have to deal did it. We will have
to deal with grief, we won't have to deal with depressure,
we'll have to deal with all these different emotions and
feelings that we have if we truly give it to
him and trust him that he will direct our path
(10:17):
if we move forward and obedience, if we go over
to Jeremiah seventeen seven and Proverbs twenty eight and twenty six.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Not only that, when.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
We pray in hell, I trust you Lord, ex heal
with all of that stuff that you got going on.
You got to inhale in exhal with all my heart.
And then you wait, you wait for him, and then
another thing, y'all we have to learn how to speak.
(10:49):
A lot of us we always speak with the what
if and instead of even if, because even if you
don't see it, you gotta yet trust him. So we
placed that what if with even if, because even if
I don't see it, I gotta believe that he's working
(11:11):
on my behalf because guess what, that's what his words say,
and his word is true.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
His word is not going to return to him for it.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
But a lot of us we are the reason why
we experience a lot of the things that we experience
because we stayed with the what ifs, and we stay
with second guests instead of just giving it to him,
leaving it with him and moving on but we keep
taking it back like for the likes of me, I
don't understand why. We'll say we prayed about it and
(11:41):
we gave it to God, but yet constantly we're praying
about the same thing. He heard you the first time.
So you ain't got to keep going to him about it.
Now it is if you are lining up, if you're
trusting that he's gonna work it out, if you believe
in him for a healing. Now you got to do
(12:01):
the work to ensure that you get here. So now
you've prayed about it, you told him what you need
him to do for you. Now you got to make
sure that you're eating right. You got to make sure
that you're getting to exercise, and you got to make
sure that you're not stressing yourself out. You got to
make sure that if you're on medication, that you're taking
the medication. If you're taking herbs, you're taking the herb.
(12:22):
You've got to do the work too. You can't just
pray and think that it's just going to magically happen.
And then a lot of us we don't understand that
a lot of the stuff that we are enduring and
that we're going through, and that we're experiencing a lot
of it we bring upon ourselves. So then we want
to give the enemy a lot of this credit when
we step to the left, or we step to the right,
(12:42):
and we got out of the straight and narrow. If
you stay on the straight and arrow. If you don't know,
you got to ask them, he said. If you lack,
we's some acts. He said, you actually share receive if
you knock, each shall open. But a lot of us
we are content with the misery because we know misery
like company. So we will not want to be healed
(13:05):
so that we can keep getting the sympathy we can
keep putting on these pity parties. Move from that like
you can't keep don't keep wearing it on your shoulders.
Don't keep allowing your hurt, your your depression, your grief,
all of that to consume you, because that's not what
he wants for you. He said, cast all your cares
(13:26):
upon him, and he will direct your path. Humh, But
we don't want to do that. Understand, do not lean
on your own understanding. Get that today. Understand that you
have no power, but through him you have all power.
Open up your perspective. A lot of time we see
(13:48):
a glass. It may look half empty, but what if
if you said that it.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Was half full? And and and and and things of
that nature.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
It's how you perceive things. See a lot of us
we complain about things that we can't personally change. It
can only be changed through the Holy Spirit. But yet
we still harp on it, and we carry it on
and on and on, not knowing that it's doing something
to you. Like when we carry around envy, strike, jealousy, hurt,
(14:25):
whatever we carrying around that it's out of the will
of God. Y'all is doing nothing but cause and stress
on your body. It's on nothing but declining your physical health,
your mental health, and when you're not whole, When you
are not whole, guess what you got to seek? Godly counsel.
(14:47):
Understand that.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
Wait for alignment.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Look for agreement between the scripture and the things that
you're doing. If it does not align with the scripture,
then you might want to change what you're doing in
all things. Acknowledge Him in all your ways. God isn't random.
It flows from consistent God. Awareness. To acknowledge God is
(15:12):
to invite Him into the ordinary emails, errands, meetings, parents, finances,
everything y'all, But a lot of us we only want
to put him in things when it's going wrong. We
don't want to put him in things when it's going right.
When he said, acknowledge him in all your ways, hum,
(15:34):
and then we want to pick him up and put
him down. And then we want to come when we
want to come, and then we want to act like
it's okay.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
It's not it's not.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
So I'm gonna leave y'all with this now I'm getting
ready to wrap it up. God does not ask you
to map out your path, only to trust and acknowledge him.
As you do, he strengthens what confuses you, open doors
(16:07):
that you cannot open, and close paths that will harm you.
We don't always understand why things are happening, but know
that He's always working on our behalf.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
A lot of us we run.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
We are constantly running, instead of sitting still and be
impatient and allowing him to do what he said he
would do in our lives. Trust the Lord with all
your heart. He will make your path straight. What he opens,
no one can shut what he's shut, no one can open.
(16:43):
Understand that the steps of a good person is ordered
by the Lord. Allow him to order your steps. You
will hear a voice behind you saying this is the way.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Walk in it, y'all. He's always with us. He's always
with us.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
The big idea is that we need to understand that
it's our job to trust and acknowledge him. Trust meaning
basting the weight of your heart on God, not on
your plans in what you want, your timing, your abilities,
because it does not matter. Acknowledging means to invite and
(17:28):
consult with Him in everything, decisions, schedules, conversations, honoring His
wisdom above your own. It's God awareness that shapes choices,
not just quick prayer tagons. Being aware of God and
God's job is to God strengthen.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Open, and close.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
He gives a step by step direction, often enough light
for the next step, not for the entire our journey.
Because He wants you to.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Lean and depend on him.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
He levels. He levels what feels cricket. He can confuse
his path, tangle and motives. Complex circumstances bring in clarity
as you move in obedience. So if you want clarity,
you got to move in obedience. He grants favor and
(18:27):
opportunities that you cannot manufacture. Trust me, it's not something
that you're doing. It is all of God right people,
time and and provision. He will seeing everything that you
need in his time. He protects by saying no and
(18:48):
not yet redirecting you from what would drain.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Distract or damage.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
You understand that, y'all, just because he delays something don't
mean that he's gonna deny it. But you gotta be
in line. You gotta be in place. Peace comes when
you stop controlling outcomes, when you stop thinking that it's
about you and start obeying the next step.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
I'm gonna say that again.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
Peace comes when you stop controlling the outcome and start
a banning the next step. Know that you have no power,
that you're not leading nothing. The only reason why a
lot of us are doing the things that we're doing
is because he allow it. And because he is leading us,
he's opening those doors. Think that you have these platforms
because it's something that you're doing. No, it's nothing that
(19:36):
you're doing. Huh. He can shut all these platforms down today, tomorrow,
next week, and then what what will a lot of
you be able to do if you had not these platforms?
Speaker 1 (19:49):
And then you're thinking it's about you? What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Off of the platform. He gives you the platform to
make connections and to make things happen so that you
can connect with people, so that you you can come
off the platform and get out here in the community
and do stuff. How many of y'all are utilizing the
connections that you're making to get out here and do
something in the community, To get out and do something.
(20:13):
I listen to Man of God Marco Griggs. He's trying
to put together a million man march. He's trying to
put together a march to save souls and to draw
souls to Christ. Things like that is what we're supposed
to be doing. We're supposed to make the connection here
(20:33):
and then we're supposed to take it off of these
social media platforms and out of the four whiles. Y'all,
we got to get out here in the community, because
at the end of the day, you are the church,
your your temple, your body, You are the church. So
how are you Church? That's what we should be asking ourselves.
And then we want to know we want to be
(20:54):
in so much control when we have no control. We
ain't got no power, y'all. Control is heavy, but obedience
it is simple. Control needs certainty, obedience, need nothing but trust.
Peace grows when you release what is God's when you
(21:15):
release what is in God's lane and stay in your
own lane. Again, peace grows when you release what is
God's lane and you stay in your lane. So just
stay over here, illustraight and now, and let God do
what he said he would do. God rarely gives maps,
but he gives you guidance. He is the GPS. He
(21:38):
ain't gonna give you a map, but he will guide you.
He will guide you as the GPS. He would tell
you where to go, when to go, who to connect with,
how to connecte sheeps have a peace, not because they
know all of the routes, but because they know that
they shepherd's leading them.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Who's your shepherd? Who are you following?
Speaker 2 (22:02):
I hope that you said Jesus is your shepherd and
you'll follow him. A lot of us have no idea.
But I'm gonna share this with you guys, and then
I'm gonna get on.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
Out of here.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
How to practice what we have been sharing on today. First,
you gotta trust God. Know that the Father will never
place any more on you than you can bear. He
already know the weight that you are gonna carry. He
already know what you're gonna go through. He already knows,
(22:35):
so acknowledge him. Speak into this, Speak into this again.
I say, what does.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Your word say? What would please God? And then obey?
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Do the next clear right thing already in front of you.
He's given us instruction. All you got to do is
open it up. It's called the Bible, the basic instructions
before leaving this earth. He's told us what to do.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
He's given us.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
We have examples, we have people that have come before us.
It's done these things. He said, We're gonna do greater works.
But how would people know the greater works if we're
not even sharing them, if we're not doing anything, if
we're not sharing his goodness, we're not doing anything. We
just sit here and just going by whatever. So today
I say release, leave timing and results with him. If
(23:31):
the door is his will, Yah, it will open. If
it's not, guess what it'll stay closed? And guess what
it is for your protection? Huh yeah, exactly. So I
say to you, fear of missing out will not stop you.
(23:55):
Remember God's timing cannot make you miss what is truly,
because what is for you is for you so don't
be in fear of missing out and running from platform
to platform, chasing after this and chasing after that.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
But be still, he tells us, be still and know
that I am God.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Don't get impatient. Replace deadlines with devotions. Be faithful today.
Let God handle your tomorrow. Activate work in the now.
Do what you're supposed to do today. Don't worry about tomorrow.
Don't worry about yesterday, because guess what, you can't do
nothing about yesterday, and tomorrow is gonna take care of itself.
(24:36):
Ain't That's what the word say, So leave it up
to him.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Be patient.
Speaker 2 (24:45):
And stop comparing yourself. Stop comparing your assignment, cop stop
comparing your gifts, stop comparing anything with anybody. Others past
are not your assignment. Acknowledge Him in alle all your
ways and not theirs. Don't worry about what Sally over
there doing. Don't know how many podcasts Sally is on.
(25:06):
Don't worry about how many magazines she's been, don't worry
about the interviews, don't worry about all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
And number one, the number one thing is stop overthinking.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Trade analyzing paralyzes all these these things, and we just
run through our heads.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Stop analyzing everything.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
And be obedient and allow the action of His light
to shine lead and guide us. Now that's all we
need as I close. Trust God with your whole heart
and not just parts that feel safe. Stop leaning on
your own limited perspective, but seek his wisdom and counsel.
(25:51):
Acknowledge him and everything, and he will make your paths
clear in his time. I just want you to repeat
this to yourself over and over and over and over
until you begin to feel it, until it can begin
to manifest in your life. Lord, I trust your heart.
I year my understanding and acknowledge that you. I acknowledge
(26:15):
you in all the ways. Direct my path on today. Lord,
I trust your heart, I year my understanding and acknowledge
you in all of my ways. Direct my steps today.
Say that over and over. Put it on a stick
and no post it around, Share it with somebody, and
I invite you back tomorrow day seventeen for this twenty
(26:41):
one day devotion. Y'all, we got four more days in
this book. Tomorrow Day seventeen is strength in times of need.
We're going to be meditating and coming out of Isaiah
forty one and ten.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
Y'all, trust the process.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Know that God's plan is his plan, and it's not
going to return to him. Boy Jeremiah twenty nine and eleven.
He said that He declared that he had a plan
for you, and it was not to harm you, but
to prosper you, for you to be in good health,
for you to have hope in the future. So I
want you to stand on his word today. I want
you to trust that God is yet working even when
(27:18):
you can't see it, even when you think you can't
hear him. Be still and know that He is God
and that He is yet working on your behalf. Go
to the Word, pull out some of these scriptures, put
them on stickyknoes posted around, and.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Get it down in your spirit. You gotta do the work.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
You got to have something that you can apply to
these situations that come up so that we can stop
blaming the enemy for these things. When we got the
word to put on it, y'all, we can activate and
manifest things in our life. We have that power. He's
given us that power. But you got to align with
the Word, and you got to be in place so
that you can receive. So, Father God, in the name
(27:57):
of Jesus, Lord, I thank you, I thank you for
this time. I thank you for your word that has
come forth on today, Lord God Father, I thank you
right now and Father, I pray that these will be
seized to the person that may that have received it
on today, Lord God, may they plant it in fertile ground,
and may you produce fruit in their lives. Lord God Father,
I thank you on this morning, because she truly didn't
(28:18):
have to, Lord God. But Lord, you allow us to
see another day, another day that was not promised us,
another day that we can get it right, Another day
that we can get out here and impact the community,
Lord God, another day that we can help draw someone
unto you, Lord God. So Father, I thank you. I
thank you for this time. I thank you for just
being a vessel.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Lord God. And Father.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
I asked her, as I go out into this world,
Lord god Father, that you will allow the Holy Spirit
to leave God and di wreck me. Lord God Father,
allow my life to be a living example that somebody
may see you through me, Lord God and say what
must they do to be saved? Father asked that that
person that may not know you on today, that they
will come to know you on today, Lord God and Father,
(28:59):
this is my prayer, your son Jesus' name a man
a man a man a man a man. I pray
that somebody has been blessed by something that I've shared
on today. I thank you for even stopping by and
taking the time to come and share with me on today.
If you would join me back here on tomorrow and
invite somebody else to come and share in this devotion
(29:21):
with us, y'all, if you were, if you are like
to support the things that I do, y'all. I'm an
author and I do books. I have a lot of
various books, but all of my books are inspirational, their devotions,
their poetry books. There they are things that speak on
domestic violence.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
It's unlive. And because I am.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
A VI, I'm a survivor of domestic violence, and I
am a unaliver attempt survivor. I try to unalive myself.
But through God's grace and his mercy, he sound fit
to spare my life so that I could still yet
be here to share his goodness and to share the
(30:04):
things that He has done for me. So every chance
I get out shouted from the mountaintop, because I tell you,
I'm not ashamed of the things that He's done for me.
Because He spared my life when the enemy and myself
want to take me out. But I tell you, I
thank him because he loved me more than I ever
could love myself. That allow me to be able to
(30:24):
do the things that I do. So I share it
through books. I have over one hundred and fifty literary
works that is published available through Amazon, Blurb Books, a Million,
Barnes and Nobles, and then of course you can get
them on my website as well, which is www. Angela
Thomas Smith books dot com.
Speaker 1 (30:45):
I truly truly.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
Thank you guys for all of your support and for
being here, because truly you could be anywhere else and
you catching this live or you're catching it as a replay.
I pray to God will bless you abundanley for your
sacrifice and for your time. And I asked that you
will share these things with somebody else and invite them
to come back and join us.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
Y'all.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
I'm gonna be here until God tells me to do different.
So I'll be here every day sharing a daily devotion,
whether it's out of one of my books or someone
else's book. I will be here doing and trying to
be the vessel that he's called and purposed me to be,
and I pray that you would do the same. I
love y'all with the love of Christ. And guess what,
there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. So go
(31:27):
know that you got purpose and be on purpose about
His business.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Y'all be blessed. I love y'all.
