Speaker 1 (00:01):
K legs and gentlemen, I have your attention please. The

(00:47):
show starts in seven line eight seven six five.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Shoot fun cool, Hey you god, it is mister Zachary
win and walking to the Royal Mic broadcast.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
I know, I know, I know, I have it going
for a long time, but I got y'all. I'm gonna
full y'all in. If you didn't follow me on social media,
I'm a fool. Y'all in And what was going on?
Because last night your boy has been busy and it

(01:39):
all go in this topic. You know, chasing your dreams
equip the fight. So you know you ever chase something
for a long time? You know, forget why you started,
like waking up or opening your phone scrolling through everybody
else see winning and start the wonder. Maybe your dreams

(02:02):
call from somebody else instead. Right, they don't talk about
the parts when the dream used to keep them alive,
I start drawing them instead. When you start asking yourself,
is this no passion? I'm just pushing myself tonight. Maybe

(02:23):
this afternoon depends on him. I'm not here to give
you no fairy tales. I'm here to talk up to
the dreamers who are tired the one who pushing where
the plause got quite tonight we sit in here and
talk about let's be honest. Do I chase the dream?
I do? I quite? So last month I have definitely,

(02:47):
you know, been busy chasing my dreams, definitely has been booking,
busy in poetry. So if you don't know, I am
in love with poetry. Poetry is the way that somebody
expressing themself, you know, heartbreak, you know, abuse, family, friends,

(03:12):
sexualized things. So poetry does not have doesn't have one lane,
have so many different layers of it. And and the
reason why I chose this time, you know, chanting your
dreams are just quick because at this time, as I've

(03:37):
been preparing October and getting things done around the corner,
its just been like how do I get here? So
one of the events I did was called the Vibe Tape.
So if I stay, I started in June. Those who
know you know, I had to June to all the

(03:58):
way to October eighteen. I had to make sure that
everybody for the same schedule. I have to figure out
where I'm going to have this at. I have to
figure out, you know, who can I call on, Who
can I depend on? You know, I was debating in

(04:20):
my hands so many times in June and figure out
do I really want to do this? Do I really
want to do this? And finally I take a leap
of faith. You know, I have found a building cheap.
That weekend Saturday got all my I want to say,
was it seven eight performers including myself, got a DJ

(04:47):
gotta hold because I didn't host my bent because I
didn't want to have some pressure on me and make
sure I can deal with things on the back end.
So it was definitely a long you know, long time.
You know, the gear and the guts, you know, chasing
your dreams sound like sexy until it's lonely, you know,

(05:12):
like still the lights turn off and it are it
just you a notepad, a deadline, a puller, our bills
asks the questions and you, in your art cannot be
answering them right. And what I mean by that, it's
meaning that, you know, chasing your dreams is all you
know big Oh, I want to be a millionaire, or

(05:36):
I'm gonna buy my first car, or I'm gonna get
my first apartment, I'll go to college. I think a
lot of people forget the first step is to have
a plan, and yes, starting a plan on paper takes

(05:58):
a lot. It does takes a lot, and plannet it up.
It takes a lot. And people don't understand that tracing
your dreams does have the ups and downs. I didn't
say that the whole October month was definitely where I

(06:22):
would have my ups and down. Definitely wasn't perfect. I
would say that definitely wasn't perfect. But I did have
some struggles. You know, I did have some you know,
self doubt performance. You know, I get that jtalary, I
get nervous, I get inches. You know, all people gonna
show up or people are gonna like me. You know,
I had it on my head and then a lot

(06:44):
of people don't think like the process to get through
those steps, you know, you just can't go for a all.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Of it is Z.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
No. You have to go to B, C, F, G, K,
H V W get to Z. It takes a lot
of steps. You know, most of us get you know,
most of us get taught off running away from my dreams.
But nobody said what happened when the dreams run faster
than your peace? Right? You gotta have peace when you're

(07:16):
doing these things. You know, you got to.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Have.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
You gotta have self care. Why are you doing anything?
Because you just can't go on and on and on
and on. Baby, how you been alice in your life?
Like it took from like I said, from June to October. Yeah,
that's a few months in between, baite. It took time.

(07:49):
And instead of you, I work a nine to five
job and I'm in school and on top of that,
I'm in a relationship that is a lot for itself.
That is definitely a lot for itself. But you're in
aspiring towards something that keeps you moving. Every time when

(08:12):
you get closer, every time you get closer to your dreams,
every time you get closer to something that you get there,
you get there. Like I said, you are going to
have some ups and downs. You are definitely gonna have
somebody gonna tell you don't do it? Why are you

(08:32):
doing this for it? I think you should quit? And
a lot of us times we tell ourselves that can
I really do this? We self thoubt ourselves. Sometimes sometimes
we be like, oh, why I'm doing this again? You
lose the purpose of what your dream is. And times

(08:54):
sometimes dreams don't have to be the biggest things. I
think sometimes we look at the bigger picture. We don't.
We don't, I said, we don't celebrate the smaller victories
to get to the bigger dreams. I know, I had
a hard time, you know, I said, So I had

(09:19):
a hard time. So I had a hard time when
my master degree. I said, my master gred for instance. Right,
I was definitely not enjoying that moment when my master degree. Right,
So I was, you know, moving out my mama house,

(09:40):
trying to find someplace, trying to make sure that I'm
paying the rent, the front monks rent, you know, graduating
out on top of that, and a lot of things
just came fast, and I didn't take the time to
like enjoy the moment. You know, have my friends around me,

(10:01):
you know, getting you know, my stash rolled, my had
like the cap on, you know, getting to the place,
to the building, and I didn't soak up the moment
because I was like next, got it, next, got it next.

(10:24):
But if I had just took the moment and just
look around me in the stadium, you know, see all
these people, see different families and friends being there, and
took the moment and just look how long it took
me to get here. And I didn't give up. You know,

(10:50):
I had to ask myself, Zach, do you love doing
what you need to do? Do you think who do
you love? When people think becoming if you work very
hard about it? And what I mean by that it's
do do people care about your dreams? You know? Do

(11:13):
do the people who's in your corner cares about your
dream actually care about there? Is like I said, like,
let's like I said, my master's degree. And if I'm
repeating myself in this, I'm getting in there. It's just
my sign is very acting up. But a lot of
people is not going to, you know, going to be

(11:37):
there for you. It's not a lot of people is
not going to I'm gonna draw the ride with you,
you know, especially as family members. That's why I didn't
invite none of of my family to my master like
to when I got my masters degree, I didn't invite

(11:58):
method members there, my friend because my friends got me
where I needed to be at. My friends motivate me
where I need to be at. And it's just like
why should I I like my family if there was
not there the whole process. If you get what I'm saying,

(12:22):
you know, and I don't regret that decision at all.
I'm like, well, we should have know that. Plus it
wasn't a lot of tickets. It wasn't. But I'm glad
I made the decision to have my friends there, especially
my friends my boyfriend and just join in that moment.
And I just say, I wasn't throwing a moment. It

(12:42):
just feel like it was just flashed by, Like okay,
all right, but we we have to start letting pitting
people in our circles when we chanced in our dreams.
Everybody's not going to be on the same ride asual,
you know. And I want to talk about, you know,

(13:04):
the cost of catching, you know, catching or chasing your dreams.
You know, dream costs they called sleep, friendship, sanity, relationship,
and faith. Sometimes received doesn't show up until you break,
not have the money. But in spirits you never you

(13:24):
never pour everything into something what you giving nothing back?
For a while, right, you start asking yourself, maybe I've
not been chosen, maybe I'm missing my season. But if
you not, but but what if you're not behind, maybe
you just need to be reconfined. And what I mean

(13:46):
by that maybe if you start watching people on TikTok
Instagram you know snaps sad Facebook. If you stop worrying
about people that their lifestyle and be like, oh I'm behind,
Oh I'm not in my season. You do not know how,

(14:11):
but the journey when it got there. You know, some
of us we go on Instagram, we go on these
things and be like, I wish I was that person,
I wish I had that. Maybe it wasn't your time.
Maybe that's not your story. Maybe that's just not your season.

(14:34):
We have to start comparing each other. Different. Life will
come down chance in your dreams. Sometimes you might be
in that period when things are moving very slowly and
you wanted to sweet up. Rome wasn't built off at night.
It took time. You just can't give me, give me no. Oh,

(15:00):
it does not work like that, especially if you are
a Christmas less if you serve God, that doesn't work
like that. You can't act for something if you don't
put action behind it. Like I said, maybe you missing you,

(15:21):
I miss my season. Maybe if you feel I'm not behind. No,
sometimes you have to reconfine what things you have to do.
Maybe what you are doing right now, it's and I
was saying, maybe what you are doing right now, maybe

(15:41):
you need a tweak it. I don't say that. Maybe
you need a tweet it. Maybe you need to go
back into the drawing board. That don't mean you should quit.
I'm not tell you that, babe, and we're gonna get there.
Why I tell you who you quit? Bite? Everything happened

(16:03):
for a reason. You know. God did not rush what
he plans to use in real purpose. Especially when you
come down to you. You know he will let you
lose followers to get focused. He will let the cloud
leave you so you can finally hear your own calling again.

(16:25):
Let's be real. The grinding culture is lying to us
sometimes and tell us so we got to be on
it twenty four seven. No rest, no powers, no boundaries.
But if the dreams cost your peace, that's not a blessing,
that's a warning. You do not have to be on

(16:51):
your grind all the time. You don't but make progress.
I'm like, okay, you gotta all right, you check your email,
you started if you read one book best progress and

(17:14):
enjoying life at the same time, Because like I say,
you don't have to grind all the time and draw
the moments, celebrate the small, celebrate the small little things.
If you don't it's gonna pass you by. It's definitely
gonna pass you by, and then you're gonna be damn.

(17:35):
I wish I slowed down until this moment. Appreciate who's
in front of me, who's beside me, who's on this
journey with me, And sometimes you might be on this
journey yourself, and it's okay. It's okay to be on
the journey yourself, because sometimes enemies don't destroy you when

(18:01):
you feel I sat that wrong. And sometimes enemy wants
you to feel. They want you to struggle. They want
you to sit back, they want you to be depressed.
They want you not to change your dreams. They want
you to quit, they want you to not put energy

(18:23):
inside saying things that means to you. They don't want
you to hustle. They want you to stay where you
at in that moment. They want you to be what
you need to be at. But that's not us, And
I'm not saying that's for everybody. I'm not speaking for
every I'm not speaking for the people who who understands purpose.

(18:48):
Purpose is the word of chanting your dreams, because sometimes
you have to ask is it worth your peace? And
I think sometimes we change the wrong dreams. Sometimes we
put energy and stuff that we do not need to do. Like,
there's so many different avenues that you can go into

(19:14):
if this, If this didn't work, try another one. If
that didn't work, try another land. Don't give up, but
also don't forget about your peace. I'll tell you because
when you get to that finish line or the dream
you have, and you're gonna look back and be like,

(19:38):
I wish I drained this moment. I wish that I
would spend time with my friends to celebrate. I got here,
I got a promotion, you know, I I started off
a new bank account to start off my new business.
You know, I got this one investment investor. To have
multiples down the line, you have to you have to

(19:58):
celebrate the small victories. Yeah, it's cost to chase, Yeah, time, energy, money,
researching anything it does. But also learn how to take
our rest, learn how to be still. And this next

(20:21):
part I'm just going to be like, when quitting look
like freedom, right, we won't get it when quitting look
like freedom. Here's the truth, nobody say aloud. Sometimes quitting
is scary, sometimes scary. Sometimes quitting is scary. Sometimes you

(20:43):
got to bury. What's what makes you room for the
next one. Sometimes you got to, like very bury it
to make room for the next one. We think stopping
equal means failure. Even Jesus rest when God said it
is finished, So why we can't stop when it's time.

(21:07):
There's a difference between giving up and letting go. Giving
up means you lost hope. Let it go mean you
find wisdom. Maybe you're not quitting your dreams. Maybe you
are up growing it. Maybe this version of your dream
just just a training wheel for something bigger. Maybe you

(21:32):
can't fulfold this dream for yourself, but having other people
within this dream your purpose. Sometimes God makes you uncomfortable
so you can finally move. When he closed one door,
it's not gonna hurt you, but it stopped you from
living into small And if you are tired, get ready

(21:59):
to pilate, because if you're walking away for nothing feeling,
but it's faith, that's not quitting. It's transformation. It's transformation.
When God closed one door for you, another one is
gonna open. Sometime we miss sing girls red flags. Sometimes

(22:26):
it's right in our face. Hey hey, do you see me? Hey?
They are playing with you. God is hey, God will
shown you something. But again, we I know where not
no sign nothing, it is a sign. Hey, they're playing

(22:50):
with you. Hey, they're taking advantage of you. Hey, I
need you to move like this. Hey, that relationship is
not good for you. Hey. He is trying to show
you something to get through where you need to be.
He is trying to show you something that you need

(23:10):
to be at. And sometimes we sit here and we
don't look at the flags. And I'm gonna say I'm
not perfect. I'm not perfect because I have missed a
lot of a lot of flags. But I got back

(23:32):
on track. I sat and just look that would God
give me the tools in the cars that I'm dealing with.
You gotta use them wisely. Don't put your best card down,
don't use that one, use this one. We gotta stop

(23:56):
anythink in Hey, no red flags? Hey, them to do
about the clothes? Hey, you about to get ready to move?
And then the fact that you have to be ready.
Sometimes it might happen on the spot. You never know.
Refining success, Let's talk about what winning really means, you know,

(24:23):
because half of what we call success and just for
the survival with a better light, because half of us
we caught success and just survival with a better lighting.
So that means that we call success. No, it's you
surviving because you have to make ends meet. But that's

(24:44):
not your person bit for chasing your dreams. Some things
we settle for something, things less. Maybe you were not
meant to be a specialist for that long. Maybe you
meant to be something a manager, the CFO, maybe having
your own business. But we don't pay attention. We don't

(25:13):
want to refine what a success will look like to you. Truly,
success isn't a virtual post. It is a piece when
somebody's watching its purpose that don't need a permission. It's
waking up knowing that you don't have to beg for
your worth. If you measure your dream by applauding, you

(25:41):
will die every time in quiet. If you measure by impact,
you realize that you are been making more noise than
you ever think. And I keep repeating myself, be like,

(26:03):
everybody's not gonna be there for you, your family, your teacher,
your dog, like your spouse, anybody, it's not gonna be
there for you. And I want you to think about
what is your purpose? What does chasing your dream look
like to you? Does it means that you have to

(26:28):
make sacrifice to get where you need to be at
Probably so. Does it mean that you have to move
someplace else? Probably so. Doesn't mean to to quit that
job that and not serving you any purpose. That Billy

(26:54):
pin ins meat that doesn't see you worth? Probably so,
maybe you need to stop taking Danny, I do our
female that who say who loves you but really talk
about you? Probably so tell you Chasing your dream doesn't

(27:15):
mean a career, doesn't mean it doesn't mean those things.
It could be relationship, friendship, a job, going at the school,
getting your first apartment, first house, having a kid, like
all that is chasing your dreaming. It depends on what
you want and how it looks like. How does it

(27:37):
look like? So act yourself tonight? What is your really
dream about? Is it a frame, an affordmant? It's it's
a spark like all the sort of work. Because chasing
something you might not be caring will break you. I'm
telling you it will. Chasing aligning what you're calling that

(27:58):
will build you. Don't treat something that you know eventually
is not gonna work at the end for you. It's
not That's why I chase my dreams every time. I
don't care who's in my way. That's why I am

(28:23):
how as I am as today. Not only I got
this platform, I have another platform and its working on
another one. That's it. Tune for that one. But we
we we gotta stop. We really have to stop. Stop

(28:48):
putting an energy that don't do us any justice, Stop
putting things that don't need our energy. Because what does
reclaiming your time means to you? What are you doing
in the twenty four hours? Are you just quitting? I'm

(29:14):
not telling you to quit. Sometimes you need to quit
certain things to get where you need to be at
I have, I have yat friends. Sometimes you gotta move
in silence. Sometimes everybody don't need to know your moves.

(29:35):
Sometimes you stop posting, stop that it haven't happened yet.
And see I need to get with that, because sometimes
I do post things and then be like, ain't happy yet.
But sometimes I post things and it do happen. We
we gotta get We gotta get these together, we really do.

(30:01):
Because waking up doesn't mean to give up. Maybe dream
isn't to die. Maybe you just need to dream differently.
You don't have to chase what God already playing inside
of you. You just have to become it. You are

(30:22):
the dream, every scar, every setback and a sleepless night,
the shape, the masterpiece. So stop, I'm gonna say stop.
Don't quit the progress because it just hurts pushing building,
you know, pushing does means you're getting somewhere. No only

(30:48):
they might be a crack on the road. They might
be cracks and you are going to have ups and
downs on everything you are. But dreams never dies if
you let it die. And I'm telling you I have

(31:14):
been on that journey. I have definitely been where I
wanted to quit. I have definitely where I just wanted
to cry in the corner. I just want to throw
a life in it a way because I didn't have
a purpose. Because if you do not have a purpose

(31:34):
in life, you're gonna be stuck. I'm telling you you
are going to be stuck. So tonight, whether you are
chasing a choosing the rest, choose peace to purpose. So

(31:55):
it's presenting because dream doesn't always look like what we imagine.
It's always lead where we want to be going. What
is your purpose chance your dream? Do you quit un
do you chase them? Do you just write out to

(32:21):
sidest And I'm gonna leave you with this final note.
I love y'all, and I appreciate each and every one
of y'all who are listening or is watching. You're not behind,
You're just building, and I'm leaving as that. Stay tuned.

(32:51):
I have my poetry books. My second poetry book coming out.
It's called their Ut Confession on the Porch by two
and it comes out on my birthday, December sixth. So
this has been the Royal Mike, and this has been
your lovely host, mister Zachary Williams. See y'all later,
