Assignment, and unfortunately we do havea lost episode in between last week's show
(01:15):
and this week's The Christmas episode fromDecember twenty third of nineteen fifty is missing.
The original airdate on this week's showis December the thirtieth, nineteen fifty
and the title will be Intercept DoctorCorball. But now I want to talk
to you about the Art of Crimepodcast. The Art of Crime is a
(01:38):
brand new history podcast about the unlikelycollisions between true crime and the arts.
Season one is titled The Unusual SuspectsArtist Accused of being Jack the Ripper.
It profiles six renowned artists who havefallen under suspicion as the Watchapel Murderer.
Beloved children's author Lewis Carroll is theone best known to us today. Joining
(02:04):
him among others are the theatrical wigmaker and costume designer who supplied Scotland Yard
with disguises while it was hunting theRipper, the actor who originated the dual
role of Doctor Jekyll and mister Hydeand was planted in London at the time
of the killing spree, and theVictorian pop star whose brother It So Happens
(02:24):
has also been accused of committing thecrimes. As you meet each artist,
you'll find out who they were, what it was like to work in their
trades in the Victorian period, andwhy they've been nominated as Ripper candidates.
Then there is the larger question whyhave artists, especially great artists, proven
(02:45):
so attractive as suspects. This seasonwraps up with four bonus episodes, including
one about Arthur Conan Doyle's theories aboutthe identity of the Watchapel Murderer. Season
two, organized around a surprise newtheme, willw on April fifth, So
now is a great time to subscribeto the Art of crime. Wherever you

Instagram, and Twitter. Now it'stime for Dangerous Assignment. Dangerous Assignment
(03:30):
starring Brian Dunlevy as Steve Mitchell.Yeah, danger is my assignment. I
(03:53):
get sent to a lot of placesI can't even pronounce. They all spell
the same thing, though, trouble. But when I walk into the comm
his office, I don't realize thisassignment's gonna have me asking when is a
friend not a friend? Answer? When he's tickling your ribs with a gun?
(04:16):
Well, here as missioners. ThanksSteve. Yes, I suppose I
fooled you right out of a bigdeal as usual. No, this time
it was strictly business. I wasgetting caught up on my paperwork, honest,
I was bringing my files up todate. Yeah, how many telephone
numbers make up a file? That'swhat I thought. I have your papers
at my desk when you're ready.See thanks Rose. Well, what's the
(04:38):
deal, commissioner. Take a lookat this map of Eastern Europe, Steve,
this country right here? What aboutit? Politically? It's being torn
apart. There are two major partiesat odds with each other, and a
will organized minarity who'd like to keepthem at odds. Pretty familiar pattern.
Yes it is. But right nowit's vital to Western Europe and to west
the fifth particular country be united intoa democratic form of government. And there's
only one man who can unite thatcountry. Don't tell me it's me,
(05:00):
no doctor Corvell, doctor Corvell. But he's no politician. It's appoint Steve.
Doctor Covell has no political affiliations. He's a country's leading citizen, a
scholar, a scientist, the malesstature. Yeah, he could be just
the man for the job. Asyou know, he's been living in this
country since the war, but nowhe feels it's time to return to his
own country. There's to be avital meeting of the legislature over there in
three days, a meeting that coulddetermine which way the country goes. If
(05:25):
Corvell could pop up at that meeting, it might turn the trick. So
what do you want me to do? Escort the good doctor over there?
He's already left? Why? Yeah, the day before yesterday? Then I
don't get it. Why call meon the deal? What more is to
be done? I'm calling you thatSteve. Doctor Corvell realized that the organized
minority would try at all costs toprevent him from reaching his destination. So
he's traveling incognito, plans to reachand enter his country secretly. But I
(05:47):
still don't His plan was to godirectly to the house of a friend in
the capital of his country. Thismorning we found out that this so called
friend is actually a member of theminority. Why. Yes, it's a
death trap for doctor Covell. Now, Steve, you've got to intercept Corvell
before he reaches that man's house.Brother, have you any idea where Corvelle
is? Now we know only thathe was planning to contact a person named
(06:08):
Dravick in the town of Risma, across the border from his country. Now,
Steve, get over to Risma, try to find Dravick. Above all,
get to Corvell before the opposition goesto Remember from now on, every
minute comets double. Yeah, that'sit, You've got your assignment. Good
luck. The National Broadcasting Company ispresenting Dangerous Assignment, starring Brian don Levy
(06:42):
and the role of Steve Mitchell, colorful two fisted government agent. All those
places of the world where danger andintrigue walk hand in hand. There you'll
find Steve Mitchell on another dangerous assignment. Sure, I've got my assignment,
(07:03):
just a simple matter of getting todoctor Corvell before the opposition does, and
incidentally trying to keep the opposition fromgetting to me. A real cinch.
Well that's Tuesday, when I getto Rhythma. I've got a fine Dravick
in a hurry, but I haven'tany idea where he is. There's only
one hotel in town, so Icheck in, and then I asked the
desk work about Dravick. He sayshe's never even heard the name, but
(07:26):
he does remember a distinguished looking manwith white hair staying in the hotel overnight
a couple of days ago, probablydoctor Corvell. I turned away from the
desk and start across the lobby, and then I spot a very familiar face.
It's a foreign agent named Marzak.I've tangled with him plenty in the
past, and I have no desireto renew the acquaintance now, so I
start to duck into the bar,but he sidles in front of me.
(07:48):
Well, my old and dear friend, mister Mitchell, Hello, Marzac.
My such a cold greeting to giveto a man who possesses such admiration for
you, after all the times wehave been to other in the past,
Mitchell, even though on opposite sideof the fence, I should think that
you might be a little more cordial. Lucky mind getting out of my way.
The man is in a hurry.Such a pity, Such a pity.
(08:11):
I thought perhaps we might find aquiet corner and talk over old times
together. Zap, get out ofmy way. But what destination could possibly
be so important that you could notspare a few minutes for an old Let
us say, colleague, I'm goingunto the bar, if that's okay with
you, mar Zachlended. Thank youfor your invitation. I accept with pleasure.
Some drinks, much talk, Aperfect way to spend an evening.
(08:33):
Look for the last time I didn'tinvite you. I'm drinking alone. And
if you've got drinking alone, whata barbarous custom. But then I suppose
it is to a certain extent fittingthat a man should have a farewell drink
in solitude. Farewell drank. Yes, I understand you do not like this
town of Rhythma. I cannot saythat I blame you. Oh, I
(08:54):
understand further that there is a trainleaving here in half an hour, and
that you plan to be honest. So I decided to help you by reserving
a compartment for you. Oh that'sreal sweet to you, Mysa. But
what if I decide I like ithere? In that case, I understand
that it is quite possible you mayremain here permanently. You're quite an understanding
(09:15):
guy, aren't you. Yes,and I believe you are also. Goodbye,
mister Mitchell, come again when youcannot stay so long, and please
extend my very best regards to yourcommissioner. Yeah, I beg your pardon,
sir. What I overheard you askthe desks like a few minutes ago
about a distinguished looking man with whitehair? What about it? I believe
you are referring to doctor Corvert. Are you Bisco a friend of the doctors?
(09:39):
And I am worried about him? What do you mean? His return
is the one thing which can uniteour country, But I feel he is
in great danger. You see,he plans to go to the house of
a friend of his in our capital. I now have reason to believe that
friend intends to betray the doctor.I see, Yeah, let's go here
right. That is why I crossedthe boarder tourism here. We tried to
(10:01):
intercept the doctor and warn him,but I was too late. He has
already left. Yeah, you everhear of a guy named Dravick Travik,
No, Mitchell, The situation isvery serious. We must find doctors Kurvert
worst, I've got to find Dravick. I can't get very far doing that
with that character Marzak on my tail. Yes, I saw Marzak talking to
(10:22):
you. I know all about Marzak. He is a dangerous man. He
just invited me to leave town.If there only some way I get shaken.
Might you have made time enough tolocate this d I think I have
an idea. What is its?See, Marzak is across the lobby watching
us. He undoubtedly knows you haveorders to find Curvet, and also undoubtedly
Marzak has orders to stop you.So so if we were to conclude our
(10:46):
conversation and I were to slip furtivelyout the side door and get into my
car, Marzac might assume I hadinformation concerning doctor Curvet. Yeah, he'd
probably follow you, all right.I will make sure he follows me a
long way, long enough to takehim off yours trio for an hour or
two. Okay, let go,it's worth a try. Go ahead,
(11:15):
This go slips out the side door, and Marsac starts after him. So
far, so good, but Istill don't have any leads on Dravick.
I ahead for the bar to figureit out and where to start. Pretty
soon, a girl eases over tomy table. Hello, all right,
I am sorry? Are you No, I'm Steve, but sit down anyway.
Thank you? You want me tobuy you a drink? I shall
(11:39):
go. I think ahead will dofor the moment. Well, that's a
switch here, thank you. Sorry, This is all very pleasant, but
as far as making an evening ofit, I've unfortunately got something else on
my mind right now. I knowyou're looking for Dock. Yeah I am.
(12:01):
Do you know him? Oh yes, I'm quite a good friend of
Darvik. Where is he? First? Let me ask you? Why do
you wish to see Dolly? Well, that's something I'll talk to Dravick about.
I see. Dravick is not interestedso much in people's motives. Dravik
is most of all interested in knowingwhether there is money. Okay, you
can tell him there's dough in itfor him? How much? Plendy?
(12:22):
Very well, you'll take me tohim. No, that is not possible.
One you mean we've just been makingidle conversation. I would not fall
it there. Why can't you takeme to him? Because Dravik is not
a him? Your draffick, SaliDarvik? What do you know? So
(12:43):
I break my back trying to findyou and it ends up with you finding
me. Yes, and I wouldsay he's quite a fine, But I
still would like to know why youwish to find me. Well, first
let me ask you, how doyou fit in this deal with doctor Corbell?
Do you doctor Carvell? I'm notsure what you mean. Oh,
(13:03):
unless it has something to do withmy rat line. Why? Oh,
that is what they call it,the rat line. You see, Stephen,
there are many people in countries behindthis what you call iron curtain who
wish to be elsewhere. So fora considerable prize, I smuggled them out.
I see. Does your rat lineever run in reverse? Sorry?
You two? What do you mean? Me too? Most people are breaking
(13:24):
their backs trying to escape to thewest these days, and now twice in
two days I find men who wishto go east. I think everybody is
suddenly crazy. Wait a minute, the other man who wanted to go east.
Was he a tall fellow, distinguishedlooking with white Here that is the
man, doctor Carvell. All right. He told me you wanted to go
to the capital city of the country, to the east of Yani. Was
willing to pay a great amount ofmoney. So I, as you say,
(13:48):
reversed my rat line. I tookhim across the border just before dawn.
Look, sorry, I've got tocatch up to him. He's going
to collect the bullet if I don't. I see, well, there is
always the chance you will like theybullet along the way. But for you
and for money the two most convincingarguments I can think of. Very well,
we will try to catch up withhis doctor Corville. Here an address.
(14:11):
You meet me on the corner infront of this place. In two
hours we will start in. Ihead back to my hotel, and as
I opened the door to my room, I see I've got company. There's
a local cop on one side ofmy room, and on the other is
a woman I've never seen before, but right now she's acting like we were
(14:33):
long lost enemies. There are yearsofficer, that is the one I insist
to acustom at once. Hey,what is this? This woman claims you
stole her jewels. Stole her jewels? Now I am positive of a officer.
This man is Hugo Pritak, thenotorious champ here Hugo Schmoogo. I'm
Steve Mitchell from the United States officer, and if you care to look at
my predentials see officer. As Itold you, this thief frequently pauses as
(14:56):
an American agent and a friend. Will have to come with me. Woman's
mistake and I unfortunately I found herjewels in your suitcase, so you must
come with me. Wait, Iget it now, anything to go,
lamy, huh. Look, lady, I don't know who you are,
but I sure know whom you're workingfor. This man. You will come
quietly your office, a real quietsorry, any time to wait? Right
(15:20):
now, I dropped it. Irun downstairs and duck out the side door
of the opposition's gag. It almostworks. By the time I could have
talked my way out of the frameof it. Them too late to catch
up with doctor Corbell. Of course. Well, now there'll be the little
(15:41):
matter of the cops on my tail. Great I roose behind a few of
sort of head hands in an alleyfor a couple of hours, and then
I go to the address. Sorrygave me. She's waiting for me in
the shadows, the notorious Jersey.Yeah, I see the news travels fast,
Sarah. I belie if the policeare quite anxious to find I don't
(16:02):
doubt it. So I understand howwhy you wish to escape from this country.
Look, I'm trying to find Carvelle. That jewel business was a frame.
Too bad. Well, it's toobad. You would make such a
nice jewels if it gives you colorcolor. Yet I like you. See,
I think you're a peachie too.Now let's get going. Huh oh,
(16:22):
very welcome on, here's my car. We will drive as far as
the border. Okay, what happensthen? It is? When I get
you across the border, one ofmy men will take you the rest of
the war. Hey, what's thematter. The guy running across the street
at us, keep going. It'sMarzak, who love that guy who rigged
(16:45):
the jewel frame? Money? Hey, he's trying from the running board.
You will luck it away the jewelYes, let meets feather. Listen,
sirens, Marsac must have tipped thecops idea around this like a the words.
This is just wonderful. Are youalways in trouble? Look? I
am to trouble. What honey isto a bear? Come on, keep
(17:07):
that gas pedal down to the floor. It's no good. Sorry. Three
miles out of the city and they'restill on our tail. We are not
gaining any fee. There are wayoptimists, and a half a mile is
not enough. Leave the cops behindme, ahead of me the border and
(17:29):
who knows what lucky Mitchell right inthe middle again. The river is jumping
around the bench, Stephen. Thenour troubles will be old. What do
you mean turn? Stephen? Hey, what are you stopping for? You
crazy? Get off? Look? What's a big idea? See the river
below the road. I space thecards for gear and then I pulled the
(17:51):
hands a loud and lit the wheeling. Get quick, now into the bushes.
This is fine. Now we justwait while they go by. Pretty
(18:18):
neat. Looks like you're an oldhand at this, Sarry. Oh,
it is not hard to learn. But isn't running a car in the river
sort of expensive? It'll go onyour bill. Here they come. So
now we go across country to theborders a kilometer or two. Wait the
way. Once we get across theborder. How far is it to the
(18:41):
capitals? About thirty kilometers. Justacross the border, we will meet a
farmer where a horse drawn wagon. He will take you to the next village.
There a man will be waiting foryou in an order will be able
to take you the rest of theway. I just hope you get there
in time to keep doctor Corvell fromwalking into that trap at his friend's house.
Wait a minute, what is it? Quiet? Somebody heading this way?
(19:06):
Yeah, I see them. Perhapswe'd better get closer together. Yeah,
I m h Like I said,you seem to be an old hand
at this like, I see itis not hard. I quiet here they
come. Okay, I guess wecan go now you really want to?
(19:37):
Oh? Is it not much nicerhere? Much nice? I believe me,
even I still have a job todo, too bad? Why Oh,
I was just thinking we could runsuch a beautiful right line together us
to you. I don't doubt it. But right now I'm oh, very
(19:57):
well if you insist. The BordermtRow will not be back for half an
hour, so plenty of time forus to step across. Come along,
There was the farmer and his wagon, Stephen waiting in the shadows. Yeah,
(20:19):
I see him me. Hoy,this is goodbye, Stephen. I
wish you were not leaving. I'llbe back. I wonder what do you
mean. I have the strangest feelingI will not be seeing you again.
That's a cheerful thing to say.You had better hurry. Yeah, wait,
(20:40):
no, cool after that, youthink you won't be seeing me again,
you can count on it. Goodbye. Okay, they made me come.
Where's the sewage? We're heading forthe mad five loom? Hey?
(21:02):
Why are you turning off the road? But this is a sorted away.
Many patrols in this area. Notfor another hour or two. That will
be plenty of time. Who alright, I'll come. We're stopping. That
is simple. That're stopping because foryou it is the end of the trip.
(21:23):
Okay, well a machine gun, quite right, I'll get out of
the wagon. Okay, now Iknow why. Sorry, figured she wouldn't
be seeing me again. She wasworking with the opposition right from a start.
It's a bad time for you tobe talking about this, stous nichel.
(21:44):
What do you mean? As soonas I press this tigger for you,
it will be the finish. Youare listening to Dangerous Assignment starring Brian
(22:06):
Darnley as Steve Mitchell Mitchell in theback, in the back and right now,
Hello, Stephen? What sorry introuble again? I see? I
(22:29):
sure was until you knock off Demitrihere. Oh this man is not Dmitri.
Why I thought there was something strangeabout his voice. Then right after
you started in the wagon, Ifound a real Demitri's body in the ditch.
So I followed, Well, youjust got elected the girl i'd most
like to have following me. Thankyou, darling. Oh what happens now?
Well? I seem to remember that. I mean, how do I
(22:49):
go about getting to the capital?Business? Business? Always business? All
right? I think I better takecharge of you myself. The worst of
the way coming on. We willgo into the village and get a car.
Hey, look, where is thiscar? Anyway in the gage?
(23:11):
Just if you do as Papa good, I've got no desire to be wandering
around these streets anymore than I canhelp. Marzak's boys might spot met some
man in front of the gage.Quick into the alleys, I don't think
so, who are I don't know? That's the garage where you keep the
car? Yes, they must havegotten tipped somehow. Great. What do
(23:34):
we do now? It's too farto walk to the capital, Stephen.
Look, they've started this way.Must have seen us. Come on,
don't we go? You stop? You ki? Okay, brother dark in
(23:55):
here. I we should be safehere. Yeah, but it's not getting
us any closer to doctor Corbelle.Steve. Yeah, steps outside in the
alley. Quiet they have passed by. Yeah. Hey, if they're away
from the garage, maybe we canget to the car after all. I
(24:17):
wait a minute, listen, oneof them is coming back, just one
of them. Good, stay downbehind the crate now, step He must
not call out, He can't callon a strangle hold on him a little
more, speaking of being an oldhand at this sort of thing. Look,
(24:45):
because buddy will be back looking forhim any minute. We gotta hurry,
d go out to the back ofthe warehouse. I will get the
car and pick you up there. What being Stephen? Okay, you should
didn't waste me time? No,of course not. You must get the
(25:07):
business over with bas No. Well, Steven, I have good news for
you. I could use some rightnow. What is it I learned from
my man in the guards? ThisDoctor Corbell was delayed getting across the border.
He's not listening. Hour ahead ofus, and he's riding in a
truck. I think we can overtakehim before he gets to the city.
It will be fun trying. Stephen. Hey, there's a car coming up
at us. First. I it'sMarzak. Brother. What a tough time
(25:30):
to shakes pulling alongside. This isfor you. Let us make Marsac get
down instead just giving him that finallylittle notch oh brother, right into the
ditch, a friendly little nudge.Yet remind me never to get you mad
(25:51):
at me. Now, let's seeif we can catch up with that truck.
Ry jams the throttle to the floorand holds it there the minutes tick
off. This is the last lapof the race, and the lap that
pays off up ahead of us somewhereDoctor Corvelle in the truck riding innocently into
a death trap, and Sarry andI in the car trying to catch up
(26:12):
with him before the trap has sprung. But at least we puddled down the
opposition. Marzak's out of commission. Also the fake wagon driver who tried the
machine gun me. That should leavejust the friend whose house doctor Corvelle is
heading for. Finally we get tothe outskirts of the city. Then sorry,
points up ahead, there's the troupStephen, Yeah, you're sure that's
(26:33):
the one Doctor Corvelle's riding in.Yes, I recognize that it is my
raw. Wait a minute, howabout the driver. Oh, he's one
of my trust the Okay. Assoon as we get up to the truck,
pull alongside it. The teledrivers lookcoming out of the side. Sweet,
heywagon, he just stopped in thespin off the roll brother. The
other teams throwing everything at us,but the water boy, I think I
can get round it. Hey,now, look, don't try to nudge
(26:56):
that hay wagon into the ditch. No, we was tinny, Oh brother,
another instant would have lined up withthe rest of those tomatoes on that
vegetable an alley. Watch out thatcard. Are you still with me?
Yes? I got enough steathers onme to pass for sitting bol We should
(27:19):
be a all the hay wagon. Now we will turn back onto the road
and catch the truck. Hey,the trucks nowhere in sight. Nobody could
not have gotten so great to getthis close. And then the look then
goes down the side. Yeah, head of us. Now wait and stopping
in front of that house up ahead, Doctor Gurville is getting out. He's
(27:41):
going up to stair. Stephen. We are too late. If I don't
catch him now, this race isgoing to turn into a dead heat jam
on the brakes. Cator, Curball, Doctor Corball. Wait, who Steve
Mitchell, government agent from the States. Get away from that door. No,
this is a trick. Look,my friend Nikolos is inside. Le
(28:02):
cool. Your friend Nicholas has apullet for you. Take your hands up
me get down, big glod.Oh boy, one more second would have
been too too many. I hopeI never have to cut it that close
again. I cannot believe it.I thought Mi Close was my friend.
It's all the while he was planningto betray me. It's all over now
(28:23):
anyway, Come on, doctor Gurgell, let's get you over to the Legislature.
We pile in the Stari's car andhead for the Capitol building. On
the front steps are two men.One of them looks like an American.
The other is Bisco, the guywho tried to shake Marzac for me earlier.
(28:44):
Mitchel, Yeah, Compson from theLegation. We just about giving you
up me too. Looks like youdidn't have much luck and shaking Marzac for
me, Bisco. I tried, but he was too clever for me.
So I thought the best thing todo was come back here to the capital.
There has been an all lighted sessionof the legis like you're inside,
Mitchell. The whole things hanging inthe balance could go either way. You
know I had better go inside immediately. Yeah, good thing. You want
(29:07):
a later any longer, Doctor Corvillemight have been too late to do any
good. Doctor Corvelle, as anold friend, you must allow me the
honor of a costing you inside personally. Come, I will take your arm.
I'm very rich. I'll bet you'reglad this deal's over. Mitchell.
You can say that again, roughgo well, if it'll give you a
clue. I was framed for ajewel thief, shot at three times,
(29:30):
and given a ride that did putany self respecting roller coastered to shame.
Sounds like a real picnic. That'sall over now, and hey, what's
the matter, funny, doctor Corvelleand Bisco walked right by the door to
the Assembly Hall. What he lookslike I spoke too soon? Johnson I
(29:52):
slipped down the stairs and around intothe alley beside the building. As a
car parked by the side door,I hugged the wall. A moment later,
door opens and outcomes doctor Corvell, followed by Biscoe into the car.
Corvelle and remember, I'm holding agun on you in my pocket. Work.
Yes, Corvelle's got no friends atall, bisco Mitchell, Yeah,
get your hands off me. Iwould kill you. I've got your wrist.
(30:15):
Now. What a hard guy toconvince? He shot him? So,
yeah, trying to do likewise thewise who easy? I have never
seen him before. That's what Ifigured. Come on, when he took
my arm, I could feel thegun in my side. Didn't leave you
much choice but to go with him. You okay, yeah, okay,
(30:37):
doctor Corvell. Better get in theassembly. Yes, Hi, thank you,
Mitchell, thank you. I hopehe's in time. Hey, listen,
I guess that's your answer, Thompson. I guess it is all right.
Oh, I suppose you'll be wantingto get back right away, Mitchell.
(30:59):
Thank you to a plane reservation.Well, as a matter of fact,
times and I already have my transportationall lined up. All you mean
over there in the car. Yeah, I see your point. Oh,
no, you misunderstand, he issure. Oh, I'm just thinking of
my own safety. Safety. Look, air travels pretty safe these days.
That's not what I mean. I'vealready seen what she does the guys she
(31:22):
gets mad at. After all,you can't blame a guy for thinking of
his own neck. Ken you.Dangerous Assignment, starring Brian don Levy as
(32:04):
Steve Mitchell, is written by BobRyth and Adrian Jondo and music by Robert
Iron Brewster, and is produced anddirected by Bill Karn. Be with us
again next week at the same time, when Brian Don Levy is starring in
the role of Steve Mitchell will embarkon another dangerous assignment. Dangerous Assignment came
(32:30):
to you from Hollywood. No,it's the man called X Tomorrow. Here's
the big show on NBC. WelcomeBack. I would have loved to hear
a series spinoff series. She wassuch a fine character. I loved every
(32:54):
little twist and turned with her.And it's something that should be said for
Robert Rith. A lot of times, Dangerous Assignment calls for a lot of
really basically dysfunctional characters. They arein the story just to fulfill a certain
purpose. They're the villain, they'rethe almost certainly doomed fellow agent. They're
(33:20):
essentially in the story just to servea purpose. But when Rithe has room,
he can create some really interesting sidecharacters. He's given us characters like
Lord Byron, the Seal Trainer andnow Sorry, and it is such a
nice little benefit again on an episodethat I thought was really good. It
(33:43):
was exciting and really engaging throughout,so I hope you enjoyed it as much
as I did. Now it istime to thank our Patreon supporter of the

name of the killer, and itwas murdered to prevent that. Exactly.
(34:52):
Getting this thing a little further, there was a knife at Willie's back.
That knife had fingerprints on it,pretty clear set of fingerprints. They were
being checked right now on our files, and at the moment we'll know who
held a knife that kill Willie. That seems me fine if we do,
Madam, there's doubt in your mind, there's always doubt in my mind.
Allow me to dispel that practically immediately. Hello Kennon, Hi, Hey,
hello right he com a you thankyou can't have you checked the fingerprints we
(35:15):
found on the knife that kill weadingWillie? Yes? The hey we did
the French erect clear you see thatthat's the cycle I was telling you about.
We're sure that Willy knew who killeda Laporte, was going to tell
us who killed Laporte when he waslaying b ay. You're sure that Laporte
is dead. Sure, of course, I'm sure. I identified his body
(35:37):
myself while I was at the morgue. I just wanted to know. That's
why can't Well, this is goingto sound a little silly, but the
finger prints on the knife that killedWeeping Willie belonged to a Laporte who had
been dead twenty four hours at thetime Willie was murdered. I hope you'll
be with us then. In themeantime, do send your comments to Box
