Speaker 1 (00:00):
From downtown Spokane, USA, from the k HQ building in
the Numerica Studios. This is the Dave and Molly Show.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Even we can handle a Thursday, come.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
On, Oh yeah, you can't get it.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
We'll go there. You go, feeling good, feeling strong? Yeah,
are charging to the weekend Thursday?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Man, and we're working. You know, for the record, is
this the third week in a row we've worked a
full week?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Or second?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Second week?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Okay? Second?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Still still trending towards now?

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Are there any weeks in a row?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Are there any holidays coming up? Any three day weekends
coming up? Any sort of break. I was going to
have to leave early today, but then they got pushed aside.
So now so now here I am.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Okay, whole day and a busy day today too.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yes, yeah, lots of stuff.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Ken's going to come in early. We'll look forward to that.
We'll have the showdown early at eight o'clock. Sam's going
to bring in and he always hosts the Spokane Paras
Sports event, so he's connected to those people, and so
it's going to be.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
A party in here. It's gonna be a whole lot
of people, some rearranging to clean up my area, make
it look presentable, consolidate. Yep, it's a longer day, yesterday,
longer day. And do you know that I have not
been to the casino since Monday. I don't know. I
don't know, a travesty.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
It's probably the worst thing that's happening.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
Monday or was it Sunday. I think it was Monday
because I got my free gift, so well, it could
have anything that was Monday. You went, Yeah, Monday, Monday.
I didn't go. Tuesday, I missed senior Day.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I went Tuesday.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
You tipped some cows on Tuesday.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Didn't really work out too well for me though, but
I did. I'm all ready for football. We have the
big football game tonight. It's Quinn's Bills playing the Dolphins,
and I have the that I saw a thing I was,
I don't know, some analytics thing. The Dolphins have a

(02:14):
zero percent chance of winning.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Oh my goodness, like you never like in an NFL,
anything can happen.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Well, anything can happen, right, so but anyway, so I
have the Bills winning the game to keep me in
the alive in the eliminator pool. And then my only
action is the Seahawks just winning. They don't have to
cover any points Bread, they just have to win out.
They're a big favorite at home playing the Saints, who

(02:42):
I boldly stated at the beginning of the season that
there's a possibility that they don't win any games, that
they could be oh in six seventeen.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Same, Well, what if they played the Dolphins or the Browns.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I'd have to look, but I don't know that they
do well. They probably play the Browns because I think
they were I think they were allowed place team the
only shot.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
So with your elimination thing, there are how many how
many teams? Twenty four teams, thirty two teams, thirty two teams,
and you have seventeen weeks. Yes, so you have to
pick seventeen different teams, correct, and you've used up I
used up.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
The Bengals, okay, Ravens, huh, and then this week will
be the Bills.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Okay, so far, so good. Yeah, it's good that you
did the Bengals when you did it before he got injured, right.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Right, exactly right, And that was a kind of a
scary one. I was like, jeez, guys, quit messing around
with these guys. Let's finish this off now. So we
started with forty. I think there were forty of us
that are in it, and now we're down to thirty one.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Can you see who else has picked the bills for
this week?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I can't until the game starts. Oh okay, once the
game starts.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Oh yeah, because you don't want to tip each other
off and be like, oh why are you saying that?

Speaker 2 (03:58):
But I'm sure I won't be alone.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
So if people have the bills left, you know, don't
you use the bills? You can't. You can only use
the team one time, That's right. So I also did
some managing of my fantasy team, my invisible team as
you call it. I am oh in too. It's not
going well. I don't think I drafted very well. I told,

(04:23):
I told everybody, told, I mentioned on the air. I
told Quinn, I said, I don't really like my team.
I just I was just just bad luck and just
things didn't go right. So when the when the draft
was over, it's like, yeah, this doesn't look very good
and I don't know, I'll try to piece it together. Yeah,
and I'm playing our our friend Mercedes this week.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Oh so they did my division so oh I see,
I see who does she have as her quarterback.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
Well, she here's her thing. She had Joe Burrow and
she had him last year too. And she has Joe
Burrow and Jamar Chase there. That's the quarterback receiver combination.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Last year. This year she has Burrow, but he's injured.
So then she got Daniel Jones, who is a quarterback
for the Colts, who was the Giants quarterback and they
kind of ran him out of town. I think he
got a bad deal. I don't think he's terrible. I
think he was on a terrible team. So anyway, that's

(05:24):
that's all. So it's a it's a must win situation.
It's early in the area.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, must win.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I don't want to fall three back behind the division leader.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
No, and I have my action too. I was trying
to just thinking, what the heck did I do that
ticket that you got me? Oh, here it is. I
have millians and then I will make I'll have eighty
two dollars after Monday night.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
If, if, if, and only if.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yeah, that's gonna be a tough game. I know it's
the Ravens and that's gonna be tough. But then I'm
gonna I'm gonna roll it over. I'm just gonna keep
this money rolling too.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
That's what I'm doing.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
It's like a tumbleweed, right, it just keeps collect money. Yeah,
and then.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Just keep on winning and then one other sports note,
we'll hit this real quick and then we'll then we'll.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Get to the regular and we have a big announcements too.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
Yes. Yeah, the Mariners their ten game win streak, no ended.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
You were overlooking the opponent. You did it to them.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
I did overlook them.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
Yeah, they heard you, Yeah, maybe they did.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
They'll they'll finish them off today though. So they played
the Royals again today and with that loss, the Astros
have regained first place.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
And then they have to play each other, right.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
They play each other tomorrow in Seattle, so that it's
a big series and we never overlook an opponent and
we're not sure we sweep.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
The This you did to your team a terrible.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So there there was all that.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah, so yes, I finished up here and then got home.
My daughter was not feeling well, so I didn't that
was off the board. I was going to take her
to work and I got a text from her and
she's not feeling well. First she thought she had some
kind of flu thing, but she recovered. She's fine now,
she'll be at work today. But I think it almost

(07:13):
had to have been something that she ate, because when
it's one of those kind of things where it's a
one day thing, where.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
It's you know, gets out of your system.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
So I think so. Anyway, so that allowed me to
get home, get a few things done. She was downstairs,
she was sleeping most of the day. Nadine came over
with her dogs, so for a small stretch of time
we had four dogs roaming about. It was crazy. They're
all good friends now, so when they come over, they're

(07:42):
all happy. You know, tails are wagging and they're greeting
each other, and they were running around in the backyard. Yes,
it was a really nice day. It was really pretty day,
and so they were, you know, doing their thing. And
then then my oldest daughter, we're going to go see
the spinal Tap movie. And the original plan was I
was going to she thought she would be working later,

(08:04):
so we were just going to meet there. Well, then
she chexts and said, hey, I'm actually going to be
on time. I'll just come to your house and then
we'll go down together. So that worked out perfect. We
get down to River Park Square, it's you know, it's
a Wednesday, early evening, late afternoon. The movie was at
five point forty five. I couldn't believe how quiet it was.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
Really just there.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Where is everybody? Yeah, I mean just.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
I'm all just yeah, I worry how much.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
One of my takeaways is like survive. Yeah. Yeah, it
was just really really quiet. So of course, and she
has all the the perk thing whatever their club is
for the movies. So she had the tickets, and then
I of course want the big giant bucket of popcorn

(08:56):
that's refillable, yes, and then and then the diet co well,
it's like you get a discount to start with. And
then she had five dollars in extra bonus money or whatever.
So we got all this stuff for like thirteen dollars. Wow,
which in the world of movie that's pretty good because usually,

(09:16):
you know, your concession price is more than the actual
ticket price.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
By a lot.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yes, that's how they get you jail.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
So anyway, the movie. I'll get to the movie here
in just a bit. But we get there and it's
all trailers, and because we are in the season that
we're in, it's a lot of like Halloween carry movies,
and I can't believe the gore and violence. It was
three movie trailers in a row that were all just

(09:46):
I was looking away. I can't even even the it's
just terrible.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Well, and Spinal Tap is probably righted R right so
or PG thirteen so they.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
Can show a PG thirteen. I mean there was some
funny line. The lyrics of the Spinal Tap songs are hilarious.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
You know, well, I was re listening.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
To hell That's what they opened their concert with. They
opened their concert with Hellhole, and then there's I think
I can say it. One of the lyric lines is
I'm in a flesh tuxedo with my pink torpedo that

(10:28):
came up. You know, it's funny. It's good anyway, the
trailers were horrible. Other than the the there's a new
Sydney Sweeney movie where she plays the boxer. She has
two movies coming out, yeah, back to back. She's one

(10:50):
in November, which I guess the early reviews are pretty good.
Like you know, there's some some buzz on it. It's
true story. Back in the eighties there was a female
boxer who was, you know, beating up everybody. So she
plays her really so she had to put on thirty
pounds and really, my daughter has some connections, so she
you know, when when Sydney Sweeney was at her lake place.

(11:13):
This was last year when she was getting it. She
had to gain thirty pounds wow for that role. And
so she's like like lifting weight. She had her whole
weight thing out.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
So she was lifting, she was gaining thirty weight of.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Muscle, well muscle, and she was eating like cheeseburgers and
just going crazy.

Speaker 3 (11:32):
She had to be that's, oh my god, that would
be hard to do that.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Then she you know, lost it all. And then the
other movie that she's in this was shot a while back,
is The Housemaid, which was a huge But that's a
book that I read. My daughter had recommended the book
and the book is very good. And I saw the
trailer for that. That wasn't last night, but that was on,
you know, yesterday, just on the computer. And that looks

(11:57):
so good. That's going to be really great. That comes
out December nineteenth. Her boxing movie. The boxing movie is
called Christy Oh, both different than my daughter's name. Yeah,
and that comes out in November. So she has two movies.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Does see how does she look with that extra weight on,
does she look.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
Different?

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Like, yeah, if you just from a from a quick view,
I don't even know that you would recognize her.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
It's like when Charlie's Theoon did Monster, Remember, you couldn't
even recognize it because she is one of the prettiest
people out there, Charlene, I mean Charley's Theoron, but that
when she gained that weight and did the bad hair,
It's like, yeah, but boy, Sidney Sweeney certainly lost it
all because you see her on the you know, yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
That Housemaide movie is going to be really I'll probably
see both of them, you know, but the Housemaid movie
I definitely want to see because that was a huge book,
great book, and then the the movie. When I saw
the trailer gave me chills. It was like and they
did a perfect job of like how I pictured the

(13:09):
room where she stays is exactly how it looked in
the movie. It's like, Okay, they did a good job
with that. So anyway, so the you know, the trailers
and then the other one, the one good trailer was
the Margot Robbie Colin.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
That I want to see that that looks good and
we have.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Some news on that in the Entertainment News today later.
But that looked pretty good, you.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Know, you know, the Penguin won the night before or
to whatever. Our friend who's the makeup artist for the
Penguin won the award, the Emmy for the Penguin, So
it was it was in the one before you know,
they do the other ceremony for the arts and whatever.
But because Colin Farrell was there at the Emmys and
he had a son with them, and it was kind

(13:53):
of cool. He didn't win this year, but his makeup
artist people won, so that was cool. So how was
Spinal Tap?

Speaker 2 (14:02):
It was fun, it was, and I guess I can
give some of it away, I mean, if you want
to see it. But Paul McCartney is in it, and
Elton John is in it. And when we left the
movie last night, when we were talking about it, we
were talking about how I love that Elton John just.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Went all in on this really.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah. There's a scene at the end where you know,
they all end up in the hospital and Elton John
is because he's Elton John, all of his casts have
sequins all over him and stuff, and it's pretty funny.
Paul McCartney's very good.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
And then what's his name from the roots. He's in it.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, he's just in it for a quick minute, and
he's on a video screen, so they're trying to talk
to him the story of spinal tap. Of course, they
have all of the problems with the drummers. Yeah, all
the drummers passed away, right, and one was the bizarre
gardening accident. Yeah, and then one was choked on vomit,

(15:06):
but they weren't sure who's.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
Vomit, right. They can't test for vomit.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Right, so that that rounds up in the thing. And
then they end up with a female drummer. Oh it's
pretty good. Oh, so that's all I'll say about Okay,
it was fun. It was everything that you know. It's
kind of like I was going to like it no
matter what it's It was fun that some of the
lines in it are very funny, and then the visuals

(15:32):
are hilarious.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
I might wait until it comes out on video. When
do you think it'll come out on video? Like when
will it be streaming?

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Probably in a month, Yeah, I don't think you have
to wait too long. There was only like, oh, there
was probably less than ten people in the theater.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
Yeah, Well, but it was fun.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Because you could hear people laughing, like you know, in
all the right spots. I thought it was fun.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I want to see but they do open the concert
with hell hole, and I forgot because our nickname was,
you know, hell hole for our old space. And so
you know, when I was looking at their previews and
they were seeing a hell hole.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
They have all the fire coming up anything. And then
the Stonehenge song was hilarious because the whole you know arena,
they all have their little Stonehenge just they're holding up
and they're cheering, and then that's when Elton John comes up.
He plays the piano for that. He's all in on
this movie. I love it. It's pretty fun. Yeah, it's

(16:35):
super cool. And then we were my daughter and I
were talking about as we're leaving the movie, I said,
I like it when the regular people and Elton John,
of course isn't a regular person, but like in the
Happy Gilmour Too, where they get just regular goth but
they they buy into the whole thing. And I love that.
And Elton John was very fun in this movie, like

(16:58):
when they convinced him to do it, they said, okay,
well you know this is the spinal tap guys and
these are their songs and we want you to play
the part of like, oh you've been following them for
years and all that kind of stuff, and then he
plays in their concert. I don't know. I like it.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
It's good.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
It was fun, and then super quiet in the mall
when we left. I mean, you know, when you walk
to your car and it's like, yeah, where did everybody go?
There's no there's no one even in the parking lot.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
That makes me nervous for the I know, we were
talking yesterday that Banana Republic is gone now and I
didn't realize Banana Republic was gone and they put something else.
They're putting something else in there, and I don't know what.
But you know, Nordstrom I think does okay. But you
just I don't know. I wish, I wish. I wish

(17:53):
people would visit the mall. It is very expensive to
park though too.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
You know, yeah it was only four bucks.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Oh that's not bad.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah, because I think we got there after five and
then we had the dollar off because of the movie,
and so that was a That part was fine.

Speaker 3 (18:09):
That's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
The other thing I did, so I was getting all
these messages yesterday that my ring cameras, the batteries were low.
So when I got home yesterday, I get the the
two ladders, the one the rickety old wooden ladder. I
got to take one thing off of the front ring thing,
the battery. You got to take the battery out, and

(18:31):
then on the on the side, I have to use
the giant ladder, which is my friend's ladder. Cameras do
you have there's well, there's there's three other ones, you know,
there's three and then there's the doorbell.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Wow. So it's like Fort Knox, Fort Knox.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Yeah, but they all they all seem to run out
of battery at the same time. So I so then
I have to get the big ladder out to get
the one on the side. So I'm doing this. This
is the afternoon, you know, when I just get home,
so I'm charging them up. Well, then when I get
home from the movie last night, it's dark. It's you know,
eight o'clock or whatever. I after we after the movie,
we chatted for a little bit and everything. So then

(19:07):
I get home and then I see that the batteries
are are done charging and it's like, oh, I still
got to go outside. So my daughter was feeling better.
She's watching TV, and I told her, I said, I'm
going to go out and put these batteries back in tonight.
I said, if I'm not back in ten minutes, come
looking for me, because that means I fell off the ladder.

(19:28):
And she was like, what I said, Everything will be fine.
So I go out there because I left the ladders right,
you know there, just so I didn't have to put
them away, and then everything so everything that went very fine.
Everything is fine. So but it was like a chore
that I wasn't expecting to do at that time of night,

(19:49):
when it's dark out.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
It's like when I get home on a Thursday and
I'm all comfy and I go, crap, it's trash day
and then I'm like in my pajamas and I'm out
on the side of the thing.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Yes, I don't like the same kind of deal.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Uh huh, But you got it done.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
I did get it done. And then I was trying
to find something on TV and there was there was
nothing that was working for me. I was up late.
I think it was because I had the giant diet
coke with the pop born.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
How much popcorn was able to.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
I only had one bucket. Yeah, it's pretty good for me.
I never went for the refill. That is good. That's
very good for me. Yeah. Yeah, but I feel like
I left some money on the table.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
Well, but you got a deal, so I think. I
think when your whole situation is only thirteen bucks, you
feel a little less like you.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
Have to very much.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
So all the popcorn.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
So yeah, well, and I think I slept okay. The
dreams that I have with that sleep vibe thing, that's incredible.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
Yep, so I know I slept. I slept well again
the night before. I remember, I never I was just
out last night. I woke up a little bit but
went back to sleep, but it was Yeah, it's pretty good.
We should make our big announcement.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Real quick right now. I think we should save it.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Okay, all right, I think we should do it right now. Wait,
let's do it now now, now do you want to
do it?

Speaker 5 (21:14):
Now?

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Do you want me to?

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Well, let's do it for the next segment, so then
we can tell people, so then they'll there's still for
the next segment.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
Let's pulling back the curtain. See what we're doing. So
yesterday I left here a little bit early. I was
I got the video done. I got a lot of
stuff done, but I left a little early and I
needed a head to the store get a few things,
and then I was going over to my friend Mary's
house because it was put all the auction items together.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Day, so not just the silent auction but the rest
live everything.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
And let me just tell you, so the event is
next Saturday night. There is a package that is a
date for a year. It's like so it dates like
it will be one of the dates and this is
you know, so you can buy. The package is the Symphony,
a night stay at the Spokane Club and dinner for two. Okay,

(22:09):
that's a date. One date is five hundred dollars in
Southwest Money, Oh geez, so you could just go fly somewhere.
Another date is Klinkerdagger and the Spokane Civic Theater. Another
one is two hundred dollars in Anthony's. Another one is
one hundred dollars at AMC with a restaurant downtown. How

(22:32):
many dates there's like twelve dates. I mean like it's
a for a year basically, and that's one package and
that's awesome. Then there's a girl's shopping spree that has
like Athleta and Nordstrum and all all the different places
TJ Max, Sephora. It's really cool and a haircut and color,

(22:52):
so it's the whole thing. Then we have a we
have a Northern Quest stay and play thing. We have
one that's two Alaska Airlines and five hundred dollars at
hotels dot com and the Alaska Airlines tickets are for
anywhere in the United States, anywhere that Alaska or Hawaiian
Island or Hawaiian flies because they've merged. So that is

(23:16):
the live auction is going to be awesome. And then
a silent auction has so many cool things. The Raffle
has really in the Raffle, there's a quarreline, resort, stay
in play package, golf and everything. So anyway, when you
get to Mary's house and we've got two people who
are going to be on computers doing things, and then
Mary and I are going to be deciding everything, and

(23:36):
I'm looking at all of this stuff and I'm just like,
oh my god, because the process that is implemented this
year is so complicated. I mean, you have to jump
through all these hoops and so in case you're audited
and all that stuff, so everything has to be inputed
and numbered and then you Anyway, Mary ordered some pizza,

(23:57):
which was nice. I brought some snacks. So it was
like three clock and and and silly me thought, well,
we'll just bang this out. I got there at noon
and by three I was kind of a little punchy,
you know, I'm just like, this is you know, Well,
then we get to I think I left there at
five thirty.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
And and we had at that point we had put
all of the live auction, all the raffle, and all
the silent auction items together. So we've now made decisions,
but now they have to be inputed. So then our
friend Jennifer came and she was kind of in and
out throughout the day. She said, let's just let's just
bang this out. I said, you guys, my dog's been alone.
I gotta I gotta go home. I'm done my part. Well,

(24:37):
I'm getting calls till seven thirty, I think, with questions
like you guys are still doing this. I feel terrible.
Oh my god. They were, I mean, but they're troopers.
They just they just said we're doing it. We're finishing
it tonight. So that was amazing. So I did go
home and I did walk the doggie actually went out
for a walk. I don't knowize how warm it was
going to be. Yeah, I was uncomfortable at the end.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
We had the windows open driving home from the movie. Yeah,
it was just because it.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Was it was a farm. It was just it was
like probably five forty five when I took her six
o'clock and it was still the sun was still. So
I went down to the golf course and went around.
But I'm listening to the Charlie Sheen book and he's
telling the story about Platoon, and the reason he got
Platoon is because it kept getting pushed off because of
the up like the Philippines were, you know, the horrible

(25:25):
things were going on in the Philippines. So Oliver Stone
kept having to push the movie back. Well, Amelia Westavius
was supposed to play the part that Charlie Sheen played,
and because it got pushed back, Amelia was doing something else,
and you know he was he had already done The
Breakfast Club. I mean he was having a career and
Charlie Sheen had really done nothing yet. So he was

(25:46):
talking about so Johnny Depp and Corey Feldman and I
mean that platoon had a huge cast. H So they
have to go to the Philippines, and he had already
been at in the Philippines filming with his dad Apocalypse.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Now.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
It'd spent a lot of time as a kid. And
it's like one hundred and fifteen degrees there with like humidity.
So they sent him three weeks early, and they sent
him to and it was this former Marine captain guy
whatever who had the idea and came and said, let
me let me train these people, let me show them
what it's like. So they had to live for three

(26:22):
weeks in the actual conditions that people would have lived
in homp they're doing homes, he said. Forrest Whitaker lost
thirty pounds and they and he was supposed to be
like big George or big whatever, and they're like, crap,
he's getting thin. They's not going to fit the partner more.
But Johnny Depp was there and he was talking about
how they would like live in the bunkers and I

(26:43):
mean he said it was it was, It was awful,
just john Yeah, Johnny Depp, wasn't it. I don't remember that.
I don't remember him in there either, And Johnny Depp
was the one that got Charlie Sheen smoking. He had
never smoked a cigarette. And then Johnny Depp, I guess
when they were filming, they just would say and cartons
and Marlboro's, and he said that he was never without

(27:03):
a cigarette like that. It just never and you were
always downwind of it, and it was like, dude, And
so then he started. I guess the character had to smoke,
and so that's when he started. And he just quit
in like two thousand and nineteen, I think he said
or something, but he said, thanks a lot, Johnny. Thanks,
because Johnny was like, ha ha, I got another one.

(27:24):
He said, on every film I turned somebody into a smoker.
It's like that's a terrible thing to do, my god.
But so that was kind of interesting. And then I
got home and made myself some dinner, and I was
watching remember the movie The Neighbors It, Yeah, Roseburn's right, Roseburns.
I was movies and seth Rogen. I think it's Roseburn.

(27:46):
Yeah she's yeah, she's from the Peter Rabbit movies and
all that. Anyway, they buy a house and then a
frat house moves in next door at zac Efrott and
all his friends, and so it's it's funny, it's silly.
There's there's a lot of silliness in it. But it
was just good light comedy, just to watch and have
my dinner and nothing bad really, you know. And then
I was in bed early and I was up early,

(28:08):
and I did prepare a video of my acting.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Oh boy, here we go.

Speaker 3 (28:17):
I don't, I don't. I here's the thing. It's not.
It's not the worst acting you've ever seen. It's not
that it's the work well, the judge of that. The look,
it's the and it's just the oh, how to explain it.
It makes me cringe, and it makes me very uncomfortable
to watch it. The guy who is in it is

(28:39):
very dramatic and you'll see he grabs me and it's wrong.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
You know.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
It's a two minutes and it's I'm wearing everything you
would want from a girl in the late nineties or
early nineties to be wearing. It's just after the eighties,
you know, you just get through the eighties and now
you're on the cusp of this new era. But you
still have your big shoulder pads and big earrings and
blue mascara and whatever. I mean, so I prepared that

(29:05):
this morning. Okay, in case we want to unleash it.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Oh, I say, unleash it. Okay, Oh it needs to
be unleashed.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Unleash it early. So anyway, that was the day. It
was just it was we I mean, we had a
good time putting all the packages together. But it's just
I am very thankful that I have friends who are
willing to do that. I get to a point. I mean,
they also get up four hours after I do, so
when I hit five o'clock, they still have some gas

(29:32):
in the tank. And I don't. I'm you know, I'm
just it's a long day and I foolishly thought I
would have time like, oh, we'll work on it for
a few hours. Oh maybe I'll head out to the casino.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
No, that was off the board.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Oh god, yeah, that was yeah, it was. It was
all day, all day. But we do have some really
really cool things. One of the things in the Silent
Auction is a day on the air with Dave and Molly.
And here's what I added to to it. There's each
person will get one of our personalized mud one's a

(30:05):
water bottle, one's a coffee mug, and fifteen dollars a
Dutch bros. Do you get it? Because you're getting up
early to come in, So do you get it? So
you get your Dutch bros. You each get a coffee
on your wind.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Get it? You should explain because.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
It's morning time, and then you get your thing and
then you get to come in and spend the morning
with us. And I think I put I put some
shopping bags and some bottle openers. So it's all the
things we have to offer, sure, plus a day on
the air with us, and I hope it. I did
put it in a silent auction. I didn't want to
do too many live auction items, you know how that goes.
There's ten and I think that's a good amount, plus

(30:41):
the paddle rays and that, and it's going to go well.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
So give me the So, how many live auction how
many silent auction I.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Think we have? Well, we want to We'll end up
with about thirty silent auction items. So two tables, you know,
not too much, five raffle items okay, and then ten
live boxtions items.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
How much do the raffle tickets cost?

Speaker 3 (31:02):
Five bucks?

Speaker 4 (31:02):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (31:03):
And the there we have a scary wood package. We
have a Pinos palette whole package with wine glasses and stuff.
And we have the Quarterlaine Resort Stay and Play, which
is a great one. And then we have a guitar
and two hundred dollars at Hoffman Music. That's another raffle item.
So that's going to be pretty cool. And we have

(31:25):
a Ben Joyce in the in the live auction, we
have a Jim Battel and our friend Jim Hotel. Yeah,
it's gonna be cool. And then we have another thing
where you win half a side of beef and a
freezer to keep it in Okay, and this is we
sell fifty one hundred dollars tickets you have one of Yeah,

(31:45):
we don't have any Zaggs tickets this year, so we're
doing that instead. But I mean half a side of
beef and then but most people will be like, where
am I going to put it? Well on the freezer.
We're giving you a freezer two freezer too, huh how
about that? Yeah, So it'll be fun. And Quinn and
I finished up our videoings so that it's good and

(32:05):
it's just, uh, it's just it's gonna be Everything's going
to be fine. We still have all of next week. Oh,
we're way ahead. I think we're in good shape. Yesterday
was a big one to get out of the way. So, yep,
that's what I got you.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
You got wine wineries different.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
It's gonna be. Yeah. We have three breweries. We have
two wineries. We have Arbor Crest and we have Barrister.
Then we have a lady who's making mocktails because that's
very popular now. And then everybody's gonna have wine on
the tables, and then there's gonna be extra wine. There's
no listen to this. Once you get in there, like
you'll buy raffle tickets, yeah, and you'll bid on stuff,

(32:49):
but as far as the wine and the beer goes,
there's no exchange of money. It's just we'll just have
it there. Great, we'll just have it there.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
So I can get myself tanked up and then just
kind of get really loud during the thing. And then right,
that's my rainhill part.

Speaker 3 (33:05):
Yeah, Hey, Molly can do some of that, that would
be great. The best thing you could do is interrupt
what what's really fun? This is great is right with
Tom Sherry, our auctioneers on a roll, and he's working.
Just stand no, wait a second, Wait a second, you guys,
this item is awesome. What's going on? You could come

(33:27):
on jeeps, skates? Yeah yeah, do stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Okay, that good? No, can people still buy tickets or
is it also old?

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Oh yeah, they can buy tickets. There's we're pretty close
our tables. What we have is like we have sponsors
who have purchased tables that comes with their Like Northern
Quests are Signature sponsored. They gave us ten thousand dollars
this year and that came with two tables, but they'll
probably fill one. So you know, we're plugging people into
the extra seats. But I think there's still some. You
can go to safety net Inlandnorthwest dot org and then

(33:58):
go to events and then it's one hundred bucks to
get in. Okay, at our ticket price is low. A
lot of these most of these are way more than that.
And it's a fun night too. Also you can wear
what you have on, wear your golf stuff. It's the
night of it's the theme is adventure but like because
they but it's adventurousyl that's right, You're going to venture

(34:20):
out onto a golf course, so you really can and
fit in comfortable. Absolutely that's the whole point. No, high heels.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
No, And you claim that once I get there, I
can drink all the wine I want.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
Yep, Okay, you're I mean, well, you can go to
the wineries and taste their stuff, but then when you
sit down, there's going to be wine on your table, and.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
Then we're going to have to have the wine thing,
the wine.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Pole or the we're not doing the wine pole this, Oh,
that was the other thing. We have the wheel of
winning the wheel, and this is twenty five bucks. I
think it's. I think she's charging twenty five, maybe thirty five,
and you know you're going to get something that's worth
that or more. So it's really an even exchange. And
some of the things in they're like Jimmy Johns. We
have like twelve subs worth one hundred bucks. We have

(35:04):
one hundred dollars gift cards to things. We have Pinot's palette,
We have all kinds of stuff in there.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
So so all I do is spin the wheel and
whatever it lands on that I win that.

Speaker 3 (35:12):
Yep. So twenty five bucks, I think it's. I can't
remember if she's doing twenty five or thirty five, but
it'll you'll get your money back. Okay, so there won't
be lesser value, but you might.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
I can do that, do that one.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
It's gonna be fun. Yeah, yeah, okay, you know, the
event's always fun. Now we're getting a lot of texts
and the exact date of my auction is next Saturday,
the twenty seventh, Thank you. Lulu Lemon is going in
where Banana Republic is, which is weird because Lulua Lemon
is across the streets. So I don't know why they're

(35:46):
doing that, isn't there Lulu Lemon? Yeah, see, well a
lot of.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
People and Lulu Lemon.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Yeah, Molly celebration, she's in show celebration mode. I don't
know what that means.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Oh, Lindau, she she read The Housemaid, but the Housemaid
book is a great book. Have you read any of
the sequels? I have not read any of the sequels.
My daughter has, though she's read the whole thing. And
her question was if the movie is going to be
just based on the first Housemaid book or if it's
going to be all of it. I think they're trying

(36:25):
to see, you know, I mean, you got Sydney Sweeney
and Amanda Safeer aid, how do you see her name.
Those are the two you know. That's that's that's a
pretty good cast, it looks. And the book was so
popular it's going to be a hit. Yeah, so I'm
assuming that if this first one goes well, they'll probably
make movie sequels that get with the other books.

Speaker 5 (36:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:47):
I've only read the one book.

Speaker 3 (36:48):
Do you think it's going to be too scary for me?

Speaker 2 (36:50):
Though? I don't think it'd be too scary, it'd be suspenseful. Yeah,
it's pretty suspenseul Yeah. The trailer was like, oh geez,
I mean, I got chill. It was like, Oh, this
is going to be good. They did a really good
job with that. Kay Anyway, Yes, a lot of talk
about the Lulu Lemon. Oh Alisa is listening from the

(37:13):
home of the Horns today. Oh she said, I didn't
say hello from Molly as I passed the stadium, so
she must be in Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (37:25):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
Yeah, let's see if we.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Can find no better security of the mall area. That
makes sense why Lululemon is leaving.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
Yes, Oh, there we go. There's a Minnesota. It looks
like they're right in the middle of the Great Lake.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
What are you out on a boat?

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Uh? There they must be right on one of the lakes,
because it literally is like, right, is that Lake Michigan? Anyway? Yeah,
I like looking at seeing where all the people are.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
So all right, we'll take a break. When we return,
we'll get to the news of the day. Did you
know today is National Cheeseburger Day?

Speaker 3 (38:06):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (38:07):
Yeah, peruve it. Nobody will talk better cheeseburger stuff than
we will.

Speaker 3 (38:11):
Yeah, we know our cheeseburger.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
I got it right here. We'll also have a major
announcement concerning our one year anniversary celebration night. We'll tell
you where. We'll tell you when coming up out of
the break. Yeah, okay. And then how you do this?
You do it every month? Right? We have a girls night?

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Yeah, we try to. Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
According to a new report, Yes, women need a girls
night every twenty two days.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
That's about right. I'd say that we have been missing
a little bit. We've had other little gatherings, but we
haven't had our real We've switched it to a girl's lunch, oh,
which works better for all of us. But but yes,
it's I miss my girlfriends. And the thing is is
I've seen them all individually. They've seen each other, but
we haven't all been together just because of schedules.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
So they say it's a it's a real thing, and
they have some statistics that go along with it. You
guys drink a lot, according to this.

Speaker 3 (39:13):
Well we used to. Both two of my friends don't
drink at all anymore, and the other one, well wed,
none of us drink at lunch, but the other one
has it. Doesn't drink. It used to be used to be.
And if we had a girl's night, it was an
uber situation and it was like, yeah, I'll.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Go for it, for it. Yeah, all right, we'll get
to that. And then the number of people that have
never had tears of joy. They've never cried tears of joy. Yeah,
that's hard to believe, isn't it.

Speaker 3 (39:41):
That's sad.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
It's kind of sad. Wow, Okay, I'll get to that.
And then of course the major announcement. All right, all
that and more when we return. The David Molly Show
will continue from the Numerica's studios. Fall hits different in

Dave's cast shootown.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
All right, we're gonna play. It's gonna be Scott that
is gonna play. We're waiting for him to check in
with us.

Speaker 3 (42:20):
Oh I have to tell him, sorry what no? I
told him he could play. I just have to tell
him to call.

Speaker 2 (42:26):
Okay, that's all.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
I'm sorry. I was focusing on uploading a video.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
Oh, I cringe video.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
It's up there. Now, it's up there.

Speaker 2 (42:37):
Okay. I to him to call now on the on

Mm hmmm, all right, Scott's ready to play you there, Scott.

Speaker 7 (42:48):
I am here. How would you do on this morning?

Speaker 2 (42:50):
We are good? Are you in the car?

Speaker 5 (42:53):
I am.

Speaker 7 (42:54):
I am in the car going right by the new
Bridgeline High School. Oh yeah, I would have. I would
have gone to had it been up when I lived
over here in the Spolkan Valley.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
Okay, well that is a beautiful school. Yes, that's spectacular.
Yeah they did that one right, that's all the pretty yeah,
on Liberty Lakes, and they got to make sure it
looks good.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
Well.

Speaker 7 (43:19):
And I even missed the brand new Central Valley High
School when I was in the old building. I think
about five years after I left there, they ripped down
the old CV and built a brand new Central Valley
High School there too, So okay, I'm just missing out
of all the new stuff.

Speaker 2 (43:34):
You know.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
Well, some of the kids get kind of screwed there
there for construction, I know, like for North Central was
under construction for years, so some people their whole high
school life was that, which kind of stinks.

Speaker 7 (43:47):
But well, at least it was a COVID that I
feel back for my kids that did have to go
through that.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Yeah, two of them. My my middle daughter, she graduate
waited college COVID, so you know, graduation online. And then
my son's high school graduation was the drive through graduation.

Speaker 3 (44:09):
It was like, ah, that's so I forgot that Samantha
was graduating at the same time that.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
Oh yeah. Anyway, well we're past all that. Oh yeah,
and hopefully we've learned. Anyway, Scott, you have played before.

Speaker 7 (44:24):
Right, only about ten times?

Speaker 2 (44:28):
I think over the years, about ten times. Okay, well,
we'll see how it goes this time. Generally speaking, how
do you do win more or lose more?

Speaker 7 (44:38):
Well, I I can have one victory chopped up on
my uh my plaque, but I make.

Speaker 5 (44:44):
Him Yeah, okay, all.

Speaker 7 (44:47):
Right, I have that. Yeah, we've tied several times, but
uh I've had to bow too many times, Daves.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
Okay, we'll see what happens. I just noticed that Molly's
hold out a five dollar.

Speaker 3 (45:01):
Bill, Chris, Chris, five dollar bill, and there's one question
on here that if either of you get it, you
will get this five dollars. Now, if you both get it,
I'll have to hand you one and mail one to Scott. Okay,
that's how confident I am that it's you won't get it,
but maybe.

Speaker 7 (45:21):
My five dollar bill.

Speaker 3 (45:22):
Good, well, we'll see, we'll see. I have it. I
have it labeled so I can't change my mind on it.
And so I'm going to put it right there.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
Okay, it's right there. Tough for craps.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
Dave's thinking that's a burger man five dollars.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
Let's take that a third of a burger All right, Scott,
I'm gonna leave the studio. I'll walk out now, Mollie
will take over. She has rules. There's very important rules
of the game, yes, as we learned yesterday. And then
I'll return to UH to play you.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
Good luck, right, Scott? What is your favorite topic of trivia?

Speaker 7 (45:57):
Well, we got to do sports. You know that's You're
You're probably gonna disappoint me and say there's not any
sports questions.

Speaker 3 (46:03):
There are not any sports? Well one is sort of
sports related. Sorry. Oh well all right, well Scott, are
you ready to throw down on the showdown?

Speaker 7 (46:14):
Well, let's throw it down special?

Speaker 3 (46:16):
Okay, oh special? Okay, here we go. What was Captain
Stubings's first name on the TV show The Love Vote?

Speaker 7 (46:23):
Stubs dam it's got to be Captain of course.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
What university is home to the fighting Irish Notre Dame.
What US president put a twinkie in the country's millennium
time capsule?

Speaker 7 (46:40):
Oh boy? Uh probably would have been Would that have
been Clinton?

Speaker 3 (46:48):
Maybe? Here we go. What is the only US state
with one syllable name?

Speaker 7 (46:54):
Oh, let's just save them on.

Speaker 3 (47:02):
I don't know one syllable.

Speaker 7 (47:06):
Yeah, I'm I'm trying to go through all them.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
If you think of it. If you think of it,
then let me know, okay, dispense or find water? What
does a dowser do?

Speaker 7 (47:21):
I would say it finds water?

Speaker 3 (47:22):
All right. The delicacy known as foia traditionally comes from
what part of a duck or goose?

Speaker 7 (47:31):
I'm just gonna say, bless you? Right?

Speaker 3 (47:38):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (47:39):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (47:39):
The material nylon is named after which two cities?

Speaker 7 (47:46):
Man, these questions, you're you're doing some hard askery here.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
I know, all right, you're saying you don't know that one. Okay,
all right. Captain Crunch's flagship is named for what fish?
It's a little teeny fish, like a babyfish.

Speaker 7 (48:05):
Like a nemo fishish? Maybe I don't know.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
What is the Napa Valley best known for wine and
the Himalayas are that you know, wine is good. The
Himalayas are located on which continent?

Speaker 7 (48:20):
Uh, Europe?

Speaker 3 (48:25):
All right, there we go. I man, all right, Dave's
going to come back in and we'll see how he does.
He everybody's texting in the one question and don't look
at the text line when you sit down. No, he
never does, he never does. He's he's back. Scott has

(48:46):
of course made it through all ten because that's how
we do. It's a kindler chinder, gentler version of the
show down.

Speaker 7 (48:52):
Now, m h that is what we do.

Speaker 2 (48:54):
Absolutely, Hi feeling Scott.

Speaker 7 (48:58):
Oh, I'd love to say, you know, some bad asstery happened.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
He accused me.

Speaker 3 (49:05):
He accused me of hard assery. Halfway three goes, this
is hard assery you're doing here?

Speaker 7 (49:11):
We had a college. Is that appropriated language for this
or what I mean?

Speaker 2 (49:15):
Sure? Yeah? When I say there's no cussing that I
mean we're talking about the worst of the words.

Speaker 4 (49:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:21):
Yeah, But like you know, we could say hard, hard orsery,
hard buttery.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
You know.

Speaker 7 (49:30):
I do like the bad asstery for sure. Oh shoot,
I mean I'm a trucker farmer, so I mean I
speak more trunk or farmer?

Speaker 3 (49:38):
Yeah, yeah, I do too often? Mike, Sure, Yeah, all.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
Right, my turn to play. I get ten questions. Here
we go.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
What was Captain Stubing's first name on the TV show
The Love Boats?

Speaker 2 (49:51):
Oh? Gosh, Roger mhm? Uh?

Speaker 3 (49:55):
What university is home to the fighting Irish?

Speaker 2 (49:58):
Notre Dame.

Speaker 3 (49:59):
What US president didn't put a twinkie in the country's
millennium time capsule?

Speaker 2 (50:06):
Uh? Bill Clinton?

Speaker 3 (50:08):
Which is the only US state with a one syllable name?

Speaker 4 (50:12):
Maine?

Speaker 3 (50:13):
Dispense or find water? What does a dowser do?

Speaker 2 (50:18):
Uh? It is a distiller. What did you say? What
does it?

Speaker 3 (50:24):
Does it dispense or find water?

Speaker 2 (50:26):
Oh? Uh? Dispenses?

Speaker 4 (50:27):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
The delicacy known as foia gua traditionally comes from what
part of a duck or a goose?

Speaker 2 (50:35):
The uh? Wing?

Speaker 3 (50:42):
What material? The material? Nylon is named after which two cities?

Speaker 2 (50:48):
Oh, London and.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
I don't know Nylon? Okay. Captain Crunches flagship is named
for what fish? It's a tiny little baby fish?

Speaker 2 (51:07):
Ah? Got me?

Speaker 3 (51:10):
What is Napa Valley best known for wine? And the
Himalayas are located on which continent?

Speaker 5 (51:16):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (51:17):
Asia?

Speaker 4 (51:19):
Nice?

Speaker 3 (51:20):
And you are going to get two dollars and fifty cents.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Oh, we both got it. We both got it.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
No, you got half of it. It was the It
was the Nylon one. And I thought you were going
to get it because you said London. And that's why
I said Nylon. It's New York and London. You are
so close to getting the whole five dollars. Yes, I'm
so excited. That's biggod. Okay, let's see.

Speaker 2 (51:54):
Hang on, she's adding them up, adding them up special.

Speaker 3 (51:59):
Hell yeah, yeah, he told me. I said he. I said,
are you ready to show down? And he said, I'm
a throw down special? Oh god, yeah he did.

Speaker 8 (52:07):
So.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
I have a final score here. Dave went six to four,
or really six and a half to four. Okay, okay,
the crowd.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
Can be quiet now, my god, I was waiting every
time you would talk. I would it again, little happy
for sure?

Speaker 3 (52:33):
Yes, okay. Well, neither of you got Meryl stubing, Captain Merrill.
I wouldn't have got that. That's sad that I know
both of you got, Notre Dame and Clinton. Very good.
Clinton is the twinkie president Maine. He couldn't come up
with it, he guess Vermont. And then I gave him
a hard time. I said, really, Scott Bermont and he said,

(52:56):
I can't think of it, just move on. Sorry, And
then he got a dowser is uh fines water, So
Scott got that one.

Speaker 2 (53:06):
Oh that's right, that's the the wire thing.

Speaker 3 (53:10):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 2 (53:10):
Yes? Yeah, oh I should have got that.

Speaker 3 (53:14):
And then whah is liver It's it's liver pete. Oh,
it's fancy. We call it liver pete and they call
it it goes on beef Wellington on the top of
beef Wellington. It's good. And then technically you got half
of this. It's New York and London for Nylon, but
that was good. And then Dave got Guppy for the fish.

(53:35):
And then you both got Napa Valley for wine, wine
for Napa Valley, and then Dave got Asia for the Himalayans. Okay,
nice job you guys.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
A spirited round. Uh and Scott, you sounded great. And
I liked that you were playing in the car so
you had your Bluetooth hooked up and you got the
the app running through the car. That's fantastic. Yes, yeah,
Scott for playing the game.

Speaker 3 (53:57):
Congratulations from our friends in the America. Credit Union POUD,
sponsor of Dave's cash shutdowns.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
In America, credit Union sure NAPA is the home of wine.
America is the home of credit unions. In fact, not
a lot of people know this, but the Northwest most
famous for credit unions, and in America specifically, a lot
of people say, oh, they're famous for apples. Oh, they're
famous for trees, Oh, lakes and rivers, close to nature,

(54:24):
close to whatever, blah blah blah. No, the real story is,
it's Numerica in America is the most important export that
we have in the Pacific nowest. Not a lot of
people know that, but it's very important that everyone should
know it. America credit Union, quite frankly the most important
credit union.

Speaker 3 (54:42):
And five free cups of judge spoken. That's from Oh
my god. Oh, I'm going to give you your money
if you stop. I actually don't have change, so I'm
gonna give you three dollars. Oh you're gonna win three
whole dollars. That are three dollars and the McDonald's person
gave me back and they're in terrible condition, but you
are going to have three.

Speaker 2 (55:01):
It's a good day for me.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
Look at that. That'll buy you a couple of diight folks,
won't it. Yep, look at this. It's sad though. This
beautiful five. I mean that's a good looking five. And
now you got three crappy ones. Those are not as pretty,
but still still goes in your glove box.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
There or whatever, more than I had when we started
the segments.

Speaker 3 (55:19):
True, there you go.

Speaker 2 (55:22):
All right, Scott, you were wonderful. Text in your address
and Molly will set you up with the Dutch bros.

Speaker 7 (55:28):
Okay, you got it. Thank you very much, guys, have
a great day.

Speaker 2 (55:33):
Thank you for listening. All Right, there goes Scott. Next
time we play the showdown will be tomorrow. Tomorrow's the
final round of the week. We'll play tomorrow. That's going
to be an eight o'clock start for the Showdown on
tomorrow's program Entertainment News. We will get into that. No,
Ken's coming in right, Yes.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
He'll be here early. Yes, he's going to be early.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
I'm sure you heard the news, Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaker 3 (55:55):
What No, I heard nothing. He's out out how what
what do you mean you're gonna hurt yourself? I know
you're doing a lot of my arm. He's doing a
lot of what.

Speaker 2 (56:07):
Yeah, he Uh, the ABC took him off the air.
They're calling at a suspension, but but they say off
the air indefinitely. He made some comments.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
About the president.

Speaker 2 (56:19):
Well it was about the the you know, Charlie.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
Kirk Kimmel have gone.

Speaker 2 (56:26):
And here's why. I think everybody can do their own speculation,
but this may be a way for them to just say,
you're just the ratings have been terrible. I mean, he
was Late Night in general is not doing well and
he was the worst of three of the three and
Colbert already was canceled and then.

Speaker 3 (56:47):
And his ratings were the best the best.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
Of that, right. Yeah. Yeah, So anyway, so that's one
of the one of the stories. And then we were
talking about this the the new Margot Robbie Colin Ferrell movie. Yeah,
he admits he was turned.

Speaker 3 (57:02):
On, yes by co star. I told you the story
when we were talking to him. Yeah, and he said
did he like that? Did he she like the kisses?
And he said, well, from from your mouth to God's
here And then he said, I kept missing up. We
had to do a lot of takes because he liked Kissinger.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
She's one of those people that she's very pretty obviously.
But then when because she's such a great actress too,
that it just adds to her. She's she's great and
everything she's I've never seen her in a bad role,
kind of like when we were talking about Robert Redford
make any bad movies, Margot, Robbie has been very good
about selecting. Yeah, and she's good. So anyway, there's.

Speaker 3 (57:42):
There's that nice Okay, we'll get.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
To those stories in the entertainment news. Ken's going to
join us here in just a bit as well, and
then Sam our friend Sam from downstairs KHQ. Sam. He's
gonna be bringing up Bob and Linda and they are
part of the Spokane Para Sports Yep.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
Yeah, it'd be nice to chat with them, see what's
going on with them. I know they're sending some athletes
and that's kind of what we're talking about. They're sending
them to a major competition. So that's yeah. Their fundraiser
I think is in January. It's ways away. But then
this is like, this is pretty cool. Yeah, we have
a lot of athletes from our area.

Speaker 2 (58:16):
Best of the best, yep. Yeah, So we'll get to
all that and more as we continue. The David Molly
Show is Live from the Numerica Studios.

Speaker 8 (58:29):
Winning a new GMC Canyon at Northern Quest is not
without its drawbacks, like jealous neighbors, unsolicited questions about towing capacity,
and sudden requests to help move a couch really quick.
But something tells us you'll get over it. It's a
Northern Quest one hundred and sixty thousand dollars Grander Canyon giveaway.
Play daily for your shot and a new GMC Canyon

(58:52):
or forty five grand in cash. The Grander Canyon Giveaway
only at Northern Quest.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
Entertainment News brought to you by Golden Rule.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
Break ready for Entertainment News.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
Yes, I just got a text from our friend Ken
Hopkins and he says, just got here, big group in
front of me.

Speaker 2 (59:13):
I sure, yeah, I wonder if that's our guests for
eight o'clock. Yes. See, we solve all the problems that
we do on the air. We're an open book.

Speaker 3 (59:24):
It's we're very transparent and if someone call us unprofessional,
some would say can't they keep things separated and discuss
things off the air. No, the answer is no. We're
all family. You need to know what's happening with us.
Sometimes you have a better solution. Sometimes we'll present a problem.
Somebody will say, well, if there's a big group, why
don't you just tell Ken to come in with the group.
Some text you will say that, well, I thought of

(59:46):
it first. I'm already solving.

Speaker 2 (59:48):
Who's the smart one?

Speaker 7 (59:49):
Now me?

Speaker 5 (59:49):
You?

Speaker 3 (59:50):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 2 (59:51):
The big entertainment news in case you missed it yesterday,
Jimmy Kimmel Live is off the air indefinitely. Boy because
of what Kimmel said about Charlie Kirk. That was a
show that was not last night, but the night before.
So this all happened pretty quick. So he makes the
makes the comments, and I'm not going to repeat his comments,

(01:00:13):
but he makes the comments, and then less than a
day later, it all.

Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
All the comments were more about the reaction to and
the and the It wasn't about Charlie Kirk himself.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
Based on yes, so yes, fair to say yeah. ABC's
decision to pull Kimmel. Kimmel was reportedly based on pressures
from affiliates next Star, which is a company that owns
more than two hundred stations nationwide, uh and they have
over two dozen ABC affiliates. They told the network that

(01:00:50):
it was preempting the show, and then a bunch of
other stations decided to do it, and then ABC just
said okay whatever. And what I what I've said before
the break is I think this is an easy way
out for ABC. I mean, obviously it's ugly that, you know,
comments are made and they get rid of the guy.
But he had a long term contract and there's no

(01:01:16):
ratings there.

Speaker 3 (01:01:17):
Right well, based on what you what, I what it is,
it doesn't seem it seems like he has done worse
than that. So I'm believing that this is more of
a let's just get rid of them, because I mean,
he's gone straight at people.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
Oh yeah, pretty pretty.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
Outspoken, so it doesn't seem like left Yeah yeah, So
well I feel bad for all the people who work
with him.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
It sicks, yes, And it's kind of a shrinking pot
because Colbert is still on the air. His he you know,
they when they made his announcement, it was like, okay,
you're going to be done May something. So he still
has another what nine months? I guess I.

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Predict they're going to reverse that and they're going to
happen stay, I do based on this surge, how much
do you want to bet twenty dollars? I think when Meg.
I think before that happens, they're going to say they've
reconsidered if Cobert wants to do it. I think they're
going to change their mind. He may be the only
one left, but I think that that. I think that
things are gonna He just won an Emmy. The crowd

(01:02:20):
obviously is with them. Numbers will shoot up now that
Kimmel's gone, they'll shoot up even more. That's my feeling. Okay,
I think there's a swell behind him. I think he's
getting kind of like what we got when when you
know you're doing everything you're supposed to do and then
they let you go. The the audience does not understand that.
You know they're going to go. Wait, you're at the

(01:02:42):
top of what they asked you to do. They asked
you to beat everybody else in Night Late Night, be
the number one, and you did that, and now it
can't be monetized. So that's a problem. So to the
person who's just watching, they're saying, well, what's wrong with you?
Why can't you monetize them? What's wrong with you? So anyway,
I predict he will be back, especially if Kimmel is

(01:03:03):
permanently gone, and then they'll just have to decide do
they have a show that in there or do they
just do something different? And does Late Night on ABC
go away all together?

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
And then you got Fallon.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
And they were kind of the last. ABC was kind
of the last to jump in that boat. There was
always NBC because they had the Tonight Show that and
that huge ratings over the years. And then CBS when
they got Letterman, that was their introduction into late night, right,
and then Abcason, well we got to have something. And
then then Kimmel came along and he never really.

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
He's the only one who's ever done that. And late
Night on AB.

Speaker 2 (01:03:39):
On ABC, oh interesting because they used to have Nightline
and Nightline actually did very well. You know, it was
a news show and it was that started during the
This goes all the way back to the early eighties.
That started with the when we had hostages in Iran, right,
and so they would have this extra half hour news

(01:04:00):
after the local news, and then that became Nightline and
it stayed on the air. That was Ted Coppele. Remember
he called me a terrible name on the air.

Speaker 3 (01:04:08):
Let he call you.

Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
He called me an a hole, but he didn't say
he used So you're the blank blank who's been calling people?
And then was during the Tom broke Ow days. So anyway,
well we'll see what we'll see it. It's it's changing times.

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
Yeah, well happens, yes, Colin Ferrell.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
Yeah, and you you had secret information on this was
that it was over a year ago, wasn't it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:38):
It was a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (01:04:40):
Used to have made that movie a long time ago?

Speaker 3 (01:04:42):
I think they did.

Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
Colin Ferrell and Margot Robbie are in a new movie
called A Big, A Big, Bold, Beautiful Journey. The movie
opens tomorrow. Uh, and he says that she turned him on.

Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:01):
During a joint appearance Margot Robbie was on The Late
Night Show with Seth Myers, Colin says, I met a
lot of people over the years that I worked with,
and a lot of people that work with Margo, and
they all, to a man and woman, said how extraordinary
she was. She is, which is always a turn on

(01:05:23):
for me straight up. He added that her magnetic personality
was evident from the moment he met her. And I
did see the trailer for that. It looks pretty good.
Yeah yeah, yeah, And I don't know. It must have
been based on a book at some point. I hadn't
heard heard the story. It's it's kind of a throwback,

(01:05:43):
you know. They get to wander back in time together.
And so he looks great. He's a good looking guy. Yeah,
and she looks great.

Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:54):
So pretty people doing stuff to each other.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Yeah, it should be good.

Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
That's good him. He was. And I couldn't really talk
about it a whole lot when I went to that thing.
It was that secret. It was well, it wasn't secret,
but it was the Ramones. They were having a party
and my uncle was introducing pulp fiction. They were watching
pulp fiction up on a screen. But we got to
meet Billie Idol and Tommy Lee and Colin Ferrell and

(01:06:20):
Rosanna our cat was there, and there were some other
folks there and we, I mean we were sitting and
talking and Colin Ferrell was right in front of us,
and Rosanna Kat was sitting with us because we were
in the audience. And he turned around and he was
with our friend who we know, Michael. They're best friends.
He's the guy who did the makeup for the penguin.
So they became best friends. And so my mom and

(01:06:41):
I were like, can we And his sister was with him,
and so we tapped his sister on said can we
meet Colin? Oh? She said yeah, of course, of course.
And oh you're John's family.

Speaker 5 (01:06:53):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
And he's hugging us and we're like, I we're such dorks.
He was so sweet and he said my mom was magical. Oh,
your mom, she's magical.

Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
I said, yes, here's an Irish accent.

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Yes, yes, anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
I hope the movie does well. Me doo, I don't
think that's one I'll see in the theater.

Speaker 3 (01:07:12):
No, it's it's a good Sunday afternoon.

Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
Well, not Sunday after well during season all right, maybe
March Sunday in March, Yes, maybe that's when I watch it.
And then just kind of an interesting thing here franchise
is that Hollywood hasn't touched in over twenty years. You know.
The knock on Hollywood is it's it's all remakes, it's reboots,
it sequels, it's all this stuff, and all we're gonna,

(01:07:36):
you know, we're adding on to this movie trilogy or whatever. Well,
these are the ones that haven't been touched in twenty years.
You could look at it two ways. Maybe they're sacred,
no one wants to do.

Speaker 3 (01:07:45):
It, or nobody cares about them, or that's.

Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
Kind of like, well, these were all hit there are
times coming someone's gonna grab on to it. One of them.
They mentioned the Airport movies. Yeah, there was three those.

Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
Oh, we need a new airport movie.

Speaker 2 (01:08:02):
It's from nineteen seventy to nineteen seventy nine.

Speaker 3 (01:08:05):
Dreamliner disaster.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
Oh that's what I should start writing. Oh my god,
that's gonna be my next project. Okay, yes, I'll have
a good disaster film.

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
The Dirty Harry movies. Okay, okay, I probably need someone
else other than clinics. Well, yes, he's you know up
there the police Academy movies.

Speaker 3 (01:08:27):
Belive that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:27):
I believe there were eight of those, So.

Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
That's not Oh the Naked Gun was the different, that's
not pleas Academy.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
I don't think we.

Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Need the lethal weapon movies. Oh yeah, remember this is
old school. I don't even know if you Billy Jack
remember the Billy Jack movies. No, late sixties into the
early seventies.

Speaker 3 (01:08:46):
I don't remember that crocodile Dundee his son could pick
up where he left. Oh no, that's I'm thinking of
a big of Steve Irwin, the.

Speaker 2 (01:08:54):
Real crowd guy Smoky in the bandit. Back to the Future,
m yeah, back to thee that'd be a fun one
to bring back the Back to the Future show. The
play is coming to Best of Broadway. Oh really, yeah,
I found out about that.

Speaker 3 (01:09:13):
That's fun.

Speaker 2 (01:09:13):
Godfather movies, don't.

Speaker 3 (01:09:15):
You dare even just leave them where they were, don't
mess give them sitting there.

Speaker 2 (01:09:21):
And then Jaws. Imagine what they could do with Jaws.
Now they could have real I mean the shark. You
know they when they made the shark for the original one,
they thought, how is this going to work. It's kind
of a clunky thing made out of foam, and we got,
you know, some kind of robot thing in it kept
going bad in the salt water and all that kind
of stuff was kind of a mess. Well now just

(01:09:42):
think of that, with the CGI and all the stuff,
they could make a really good, scary looking shark.

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
You want another plot, hear me out? Okay, this is it.
Remember remember the shark Whisper girl?

Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Oh yeah, they.

Speaker 3 (01:09:55):
Have a rogue shark. They have an evil shark and
he's ruining everybody's vacations all over Hawaii, just to straying
it all. And they finally bring her in because she's
the only one. They're not going to blow it up
because then you got protesters, don't kill sharks. Don't kill sharks.
And then you have people on the other side, we
want to swim, we want to swim. And then she's there,
she's getting phone calls and they have her on CNN.
Do you think you can talk the fish down?

Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
I've never talked to fish down. That's that angry. And
they bring her in because it's our last chance. And
in the end you find out, like the shark had
a thorn in its in its gill the whole time,
and so she removes it and then he's like thank you,
and he swims off.

Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
She has done that. She has There's been sharks that
have been that have in their stuff. And she gets
up to the sharks.

Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
Yeah, I know, but that's what I'm saying. It's the
old what was the you know with the lion and
lion and the the hair or whatever. No, who is
it that that takes the thorn out of their paw.
It's the same thing. That's why the shark was so
angry and eating everybody. It was just mad. It wasn't
even eating people it's just biting them and letting them go.
You have a film here, folks, mark my words, it

(01:11:03):
shall be. I predicted the whole Maverick thing I had that.
I had that pretty down. Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
And then a couple of the quick notes. Bill Belichick's girlfriend.
Oh boy, she was reportedly in talks to be on
Dancing with the Stars.

Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
Oh, that would be a great get.

Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
But she wanted too much and wanted more control.

Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
Lady, are you to say that you're Bill Belichick's girlfriend?
That is who you are. That's all you are so far.
Maybe you become more, but I mean, you know, if
other people aren't going to ask for that's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
And then the last thing, real quick, here's a fun fact.
I almost put this in our fun fact segment. Uh,
SNL on YouTube reaches more Americans than any other YouTube channel.
Oh I that, and it's a huge number. It is.

(01:12:03):
SNL reaches thirty eight point six million unique people via YouTube.
That's more than any other channel.

Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
Oh good.

Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
Usually the top ten is traditional media outlets, including ABC News,
NBC News, CNN, ESPN, Forbes, The NFL channel is on
their Netflix is on there, But the number one is SNL.

Speaker 3 (01:12:30):
Wow. I believe that though, because you go and you
you know, you can watch the bits and stuff. All right, Well,
that's all right. And speaking of YouTube, the video is up.
It hasn't had very many views yet, and I don't
see any reviews on it. I mean, like anybody, there's
twelve views, one comment.

Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Oh, what's the comment?

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Oh, let's see. Let's oh, your notifications will show up here.
Why isn't it show me the comment? Stand by, let's.

Speaker 2 (01:12:59):
See what they're saying. Your early acting.

Speaker 3 (01:13:01):
It's most cringey because he's touching you. L L wow,
he is dramatic. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
We're gonna take a break and then whomen return. Oh boy,
we gotta we got a studio full coming in. Oh yeah,
a lot of heat coming in. All right, we'll get
to that when we return. The David Molly Show is
Live from the Numerica Studios.

Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
We now return to The Dave and Molly Show, Live
from the Numerica Studios.

Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
Hey, just like that, We're back and we have a
studio full of people. It's very exciting, so many. First
of all, we're going to welcome our friend Sam Adams
because you you you are the connector for our guests.
I'm like a conduit, is what I would say.

Speaker 4 (01:13:50):
Yeh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 9 (01:13:51):
So I'm news anchor by day uh huh slash morning
I guess co host for for portions of a day.
This to go longer than they probably should.

Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
Yeah. And then also I'm with a Parasports Spokane.

Speaker 9 (01:14:05):
I'm a board member for Para Sports Spokane and proud
to tell you I'm a comc for pairing with Paris Sport,
which we do every January February every year, which is
a big fundraiser to fund these athletes to send them
not only at events around the Northwest, but across the
country and around the world for the biggest events you

(01:14:25):
can possibly imagine.

Speaker 2 (01:14:26):
We just found out off the air they're headed to
New Delhi, India.

Speaker 9 (01:14:31):
Hello, yeah, yeah, I mean that's a big, big flight.
And so when we heard about this, when we're talking
about our athletes and we have two of them in today,
I thought they need to meet Dave and Molly and
tell the world about what they're doing because they cannot
get enough attention. This is a big, big event that

(01:14:51):
our friends will be doing. Can I introduce you here? Yes, yes, Okay,
So we have Lindy I mean, and I'm gonna use
first names and last names, soay home. This is, by
the way, Lindy and Bob. Real quick, I'm doing a
thing that I do on the show a lot, and
it's called Sam splaining. So this is where you'll see.
You'll see as I go, Oh, they're seeing it now,
they're seeing it right now. It's very obvious. I am

(01:15:14):
a police to introduce Lindy marcuson. I know where's Lindy?
And we have Bob hunt with us.

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
Bob, I Sam Hi, We'll let him lean into that microphone.

Speaker 9 (01:15:26):
And so they're in two different events several in fact,
both of them have qualified for for two world events
that they qualified through in Eugene, Oregon. And and by
the way, you know Tracktown, USA.

Speaker 2 (01:15:39):
You've heard of Eugene, right.

Speaker 9 (01:15:42):
He's seeing he's marveling the uh the Sam splaining right now, Tracktown, USA.
If you don't know what it is, it's it's it's
the home of track and field, quite literally, I mean,
this is where who was it?

Speaker 2 (01:15:52):
Well, you're nodding right now, pre Fonte, fine, I guess
I am spa.

Speaker 9 (01:15:56):
Sam'splaining, so pre as he's knowing there and uh and
So for the first time ever, Lindy, you were telling
about me about this as we were going in. For
the first time ever, we had the USA Track and
Field Championships here and for the first time a joint event.

Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
Can you tell me a little bit about that.

Speaker 10 (01:16:14):
Yeah, for the first time ever, they joined able bodied
and para together under one event, and it was a huge,
huge step.

Speaker 9 (01:16:24):
For para athletics, absolutely, because it's always been because there's
there's the Paralympics, right, which happened every four years, and
it will be you'll have the Olympics that held I
don't know, ten days, I don't know how long ago.
It seems to last forever because we've run them on
KHQ and then after that we have the Paralympics after

(01:16:44):
and now USA Track and Field together with parasports together
on the same stage at the same time. That that
must have you were you were you awestruck when you
were meeting these athletes.

Speaker 11 (01:16:55):
Oh gosh, Yeah, it was just so cool just to
see able body athletes intertwined with us, talking to us,
saying hi, just bringing us together as we are one.

Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
So that was a super cool part about that for.

Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Me at least.

Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
And then on the.

Speaker 11 (01:17:11):
Track, practicing with them, high fives, you know, like good
luck and just we are one of them.

Speaker 4 (01:17:18):
Is the best feeling.

Speaker 2 (01:17:19):
Yeah, that's super cool. And then tell everybody you guys
are going this is the world competition in New Delhi, India.

Speaker 10 (01:17:25):
Yeah, World Championships, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
And so, and tell everybody what events you guys are in.

Speaker 10 (01:17:33):
So I will be doing the hundred meters and long
JOm okay.

Speaker 11 (01:17:37):
And then I will be doing the one hundred meters
and the four hundred meters.

Speaker 2 (01:17:42):
And four hund meet okay. And you will lap around okay,
and you're in wheelchair.

Speaker 4 (01:17:47):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
And then Lindy you you what your you have one leg?
What's your?

Speaker 10 (01:17:54):
I have four legs technically, but I run with the
running blade.

Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
Running blade, Yeah, I don't. I don't know those you know? So,
and it's everybody is uh you obviously had you are
obviously the fastest in the United States then, and that's
how you get to go to the world competition.

Speaker 10 (01:18:13):
So based off of the event we had in Eugene Nationals,
they take the top performances and there was forty slots,
so Bob and I were the top in the top
forty athletes in the country in performances because Para Paris
selection is a little bit different than able bodied. We're
able bodied. If you're top three, you go Para. You

(01:18:33):
don't know who's on the team until everyone's done competing,
and they take the top performances because it's compared. Each
performance is compared to the A standard, which is the
third taken from third place in the world. So that's yeah,
So that's how it's a little bit different than able bodied.
You have to wait and see if you've made the team.

Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
How long have you been training. I've been doing.

Speaker 10 (01:18:57):
Track and field first a little over six years.

Speaker 11 (01:18:59):
Six years, okay, and then I've been doing it since,
you know, two thousand and eight. I started back in
ninety eight, but competitively two thousand and eight.

Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
So are there there's different kinds of competition. So you're
racing in your chair.

Speaker 11 (01:19:13):
Yes, I have a race shared is about five and
a half feet long with three wheels, which different than
my day chair that you'd see normally down the streets
or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:19:22):
Right, Well, we know from our friend Ken who's here
as well. We you know about all of his different
chairs and then all the things that go alomb We
got a real education when he had his accident. So
we've been kind of part of that world with Ken.
But he's got his date, he's got his day chair. Yes, right,
they have a power chair. Do you have a power
chairchair for you?

Speaker 11 (01:19:41):
My coach won't let me.

Speaker 2 (01:19:43):
No, not even just in your free time. I tried.

Speaker 3 (01:19:47):
You know, you wouldn't get lazy.

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
You're right, You're.

Speaker 3 (01:19:51):
Right, yeah? Really? So yeah, and she's here, this is
your coach. Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, so she's here, she's watching.
What are you drinking? Does that allowed to coffee? Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:20:07):
All right?

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
As lung as it's on the older regimen. How how
many hours do you train each day or week? What's
your schedule?

Speaker 11 (01:20:14):
So typically it's about hour and a half at the
most a day for us. I train between five to
six days a week during like probably in the summertime.
During the winter, it's definitely about four to five just
because it's off season. And then then we pick it
up towards when of the races are getting closer.

Speaker 2 (01:20:35):
So you're in the one and the four hundred meters? Yes,
how fast are you in the one hundred meter?

Speaker 11 (01:20:40):
So I hit about nineteen point five miles an hour
in one hundred meters and one hundred meters.

Speaker 2 (01:20:47):
Oh my god.

Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
So it's like a yes, wow, And how about you?
What's your speed?

Speaker 10 (01:20:54):
I don't know, we've never clocked it. But I currently
hold the America's record for and I'm the only America
and that has gone below fifteen seconds for women that
only have one knee. So I run it in fourteen.

Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
And that's one hundred. That's a hundred.

Speaker 10 (01:21:08):
Yeah, So fourteen ninety eight is the current America's record
I hold gosh.

Speaker 3 (01:21:15):
Man, And so let me ask you this. Were you
born with this or was this later in life? This
was later in life? Okay, so you had to adapt
and get used to all of this. And how old
were you? That was twenty one? Wow? So that's can
we ask what happened?

Speaker 10 (01:21:30):
I was in a car accident. I was hit by
fifty Oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (01:21:34):
So how long between your accident recovery do you go
to this sort of thing? And were you a track
and field before? I was a gymnast before, so really,
so you were athletic? I was athletic, yes, very very athletic.
Loved loved moving, loved working out. So it was just
like a what is it going to look? Like now right.

Speaker 10 (01:21:56):
And so I had a lot of injuries and so
it took a long time to recover. So I walked
into pair of sports Spokanes strength and conditioning on Tuesday
nights about a year a year and a half after
my accident, and I just kind of was like, this
is what I want to do, Like I want to run.
But I walked in on crutches, you know, because I
was having trouble with the prosthetic, and it was just like,

(01:22:19):
I this is what I want to do, and I
want to be the best I can be, and I'm
ready to put in the work. So you are, yeah, yeah,
come on the shoe. You just can't get rid of me.

Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
And how about you, Bob, when did you start training?
When did you where's your athletic background come from?

Speaker 11 (01:22:38):
So Teresa, which is my coach, she was my occupational
therapist in my elementary school. Okay, so she wow, yeah,
of okay, back in the nineties, no.

Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
Great days.

Speaker 11 (01:22:55):
She's like, well, do you want to go fast? And
I'm like yes, cause I'm just zooming through the hallway
on my day chair and like, yes, I want to
go fast.

Speaker 3 (01:23:02):
Of course I want to go fast.

Speaker 11 (01:23:04):
And then I've got that speed bug hit me and
it's never gone away yet. So but yep, so I
was born in my disability called calud regression, our sacredly
genesis just meaning my spine, I meansing half my spine,
basically my lower half, so nothing's connected to my pelvis.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
Okay, wow, you must have the strongest range ever, especially
for the first like fifty meters. I mean, if you're
getting up to nineteen miles an hour in a in
a I'm trying to do the math on this, the
one hundred meters, So the beginning of that, I mean,
that's incredible.

Speaker 11 (01:23:41):
Yeah, that's the hardest part is the very beginning. Yeah, yeah,
because that's where everyone's gone. And yeah, you see who
has the quickest start.

Speaker 2 (01:23:48):
Yeah, and you are the best in the world, one
of the.

Speaker 11 (01:23:51):
Best, one of the best getting there, gating there for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:23:54):
When do you leave for New Delhi Monday? Many of
you are going, just the two of you, so we have.

Speaker 11 (01:24:03):
One other athlete with us, had and spoken, and then
Teresa is one of the coaches for.

Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
She'll be there. She's she's going kids, Teresa is here.

Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 11 (01:24:16):
You gotta be good, Yes, I am.

Speaker 10 (01:24:17):
Yeah, and then Teresa's husband actually coaches me, and it's
also going.

Speaker 3 (01:24:22):
Okay, how what amazing? How long will you be gone?

Speaker 10 (01:24:25):
I think I'll be gone eleven days.

Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
Total, basically two weeks from me two all right? And
then you'll compete against people from all over the world,
all over the world.

Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Do you have a do you have a reference point of, like, oh,
we got to watch out for so and so from Sweden,
or like is there somebody on your radar that you
know that's going to be your toughest competition? Yeah?

Speaker 10 (01:24:48):
Absolutely, who is it? There's a really fast Italian and
there's a really really fast Swiss girl okay, and the Indonesia.

Speaker 2 (01:24:58):
And Britain okay, and they're probably talking about, well, there's.

Speaker 3 (01:25:03):
A really America.

Speaker 2 (01:25:06):
She's in Spokane. I think she's on the David Molly
Show right now. They're hearing it. They hurting us worldwide.
People are talking about you.

Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
How can people support you? I know Sam talked about
a big fundraiser, but just in general, if people want
to know, let's say they're listening and they're in your
situation and they're saying, you know what I want to
I want to give it a try. I want to
be an athlete. I want to go work out with
these people. How do you do that? So great question.

Speaker 11 (01:25:32):
So we have a website called Para Sportspokane dot org.
You can go to or you can just google Para
Sports Spokane and it'll take you straight to our website.
Click on our calendar and they'll give you all our
locations where we're going to be yet and what, oh
my gosh, events or competitions, competitions, practices, all that's on

(01:25:56):
the calendar, so anyone can show.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
Up and then for the big event that that Sam hosts.
What what is what is that? Is that a fundraiser?
Are the awards being given out from previous competitions?

Speaker 4 (01:26:09):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:26:09):
What is that?

Speaker 10 (01:26:11):
It is Paris Sports biggest fundraiser of the year.

Speaker 3 (01:26:14):
Okay, so that's it's a wine auction, so.

Speaker 10 (01:26:16):
Lots of good prizes, there's good food, a good program.

Speaker 3 (01:26:20):
It's fun.

Speaker 10 (01:26:21):
We'd love to have you.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
And Sam's a good host.

Speaker 3 (01:26:23):
Absolutely witnessed his hostory over the weekend with the cancer
can't He was very good and he owns his own talk,
So don't worry. Yeah, he's got his time, he'll be there.

Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Well, it's super cool.

Speaker 3 (01:26:38):
Yeah, it's so nice to meet you, and we want
to follow up, follow up, and we want to know
what happened. Yeah, when you get back.

Speaker 10 (01:26:47):
And we both post, we both post on our social
media's so.

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
Okay, where do we find you on social media or Instagram?

Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
Mainly?

Speaker 3 (01:26:56):
What's your handle?

Speaker 10 (01:26:57):
Why don't Glindy dot Marcus?

Speaker 3 (01:26:59):
And is mine?

Speaker 11 (01:27:00):
I believe mine's Bob dot hunt. Let me make sure quick.

Speaker 10 (01:27:05):
And then while he's looking at what his handle is,
I'm gonna para sports. We can't also post updates and
stuff of what's going on with the program, and so.

Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
I'm gonna follow you guys right now. I'm gonna do it. Yeah,
I'm I'm genuinely interested in this, and I think it's fantastic.
This is I mean for I mean, you're talking about
a worldwide event. Yeah, to the people were competing right here,
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
We were meeting them and you know you tell that
Italian chick. Sorry, Murcus, here is not happening. I'm gonna,
I'm gonna look it up to I'm gonna look it
up and I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:27:40):
Gonna I'm gonna look it up special It's.

Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
Spoke Spokane Parasports. Ye okay, Okay, that's gonna be a problem.
Then if I do it wrong, all right, I will
find it. Oh, here comes Sam displaying something.

Speaker 9 (01:27:57):
Hey, well, I mean, I mean I'm com scenes. I
want you folks to know when pairing with Parasport is
this year or next year technically January thirty first, and
we love to have you. You always reach out to
me or you can go straight to the Parasport website
we just mentioned, follow us on social media find out
all about it. It's amazing what I really love about
this event. Honestly, it reminds me of cancer. Can't It's

(01:28:19):
like you don't have to be a part of something
to understand something, right, And so when you go to
an event like this, maybe you're able bodied, maybe you
don't have anybody in your life that their life is
changed and been profoundly impacted by Parasport. And I see

(01:28:40):
how everybody's life changes because it's like it's super emotional
about this, because when something happens in your life sometimes
you feel like this is your this is the end
of the life as you know it. And for people
in Parasport, they know this is like the beginning. It's
a new life and it's a great life, and when
you go to something like this, when you go to
this specific event, they're not just there, They're like they're

(01:29:01):
going around your tables. You're meeting them, and just like
any other event where you get to know people, you
you get to meet these people on a meaningful level.
And that is so great because you'll really feel what
they're doing is super special and important and you will
want to do anything you can to make their dreams possible.

Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
So it's really cool.

Speaker 9 (01:29:22):
You get to know these people, all these people that
in parasports Spouquet and their families, their supporters, their loved ones,
their friends.

Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
It's an amazing event. And I guarantee you your money back.

Speaker 9 (01:29:32):
If you don't have a great time, Okay, and Teresa
will send you the money.

Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
Who's your co host?

Speaker 7 (01:29:39):
Do we have?

Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
Can do? We have the official co host this year?
All right? So Chelsea And Chelsea is a para athlete herself.

Speaker 11 (01:29:47):
Okay, yeah, so five time Palympians.

Speaker 9 (01:29:50):
Five time Paralympian by the way, Yeah, you know how
many how many titles I have won?

Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
Zero? But between combined to combined, Dave.

Speaker 5 (01:29:59):
We have.

Speaker 2 (01:30:02):
That's right, that's a little bit. All right, Well, that's
that's super cool, wonderful to meet you guys, and we
will be Monday. You're heading off to New Delhi and
then you know, when you guys come back, we would
have you back on and talk all about it, your

(01:30:22):
your victories.

Speaker 11 (01:30:23):
Yeah, yeah, most definitely.

Speaker 10 (01:30:25):
You know, world champions pretty cool start right, I love it?

Speaker 2 (01:30:33):
All right, thanks guys. All right, we'll take a break.
When we return, Ken will join us. We'll have that.
We have lots to get to on the program. Thanks
for being with us, everyone. The Dave and Molly Show
continues from the Numerica studios.

Speaker 1 (01:30:50):
We now return to The Dave and Molly Show live
from the Numerica Studio.

Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
Oh we're back, all right, and h kenn is here.
Hey you been here?

Speaker 5 (01:31:01):
I have been here, And what a what a cool segment.
What a bunch of cool people.

Speaker 3 (01:31:06):
They're your people?

Speaker 4 (01:31:07):
Can I rolled up and I said, hey, I found
my people.

Speaker 5 (01:31:12):
They were to talk to them before they came in,
and yeah, Lindy and Bob and coach Teresa.

Speaker 3 (01:31:19):
Yeah so she.

Speaker 5 (01:31:23):
Does.

Speaker 2 (01:31:24):
Yeah. I was telling her that. It's like, you know,
when Sam said, hey, I you don't like to have
these people on? What do you guys think? And I said,
you know, we're always say yeah, sure you're We're Sam
and we yeah, and then get them on. He's like,
these guys are fantastic. What a cool story. I'm glad
that we got to hear about it, and and I
do want to follow up with them that generated me.

Speaker 5 (01:31:43):
I want to talk to Yeah, I've I've was aware
of their pair of sports Spokene because uh, the Saint
Luke's activity and their their recreational team.

Speaker 4 (01:31:56):
They played basketball into all the sports.

Speaker 3 (01:31:59):
So if you had to pick at Parisport right now,
what would you pick? You got to start training tomorrow
for the Super Senior second.

Speaker 4 (01:32:07):
Probably maybe hand cycling.

Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:32:12):
Oh here's the thing.

Speaker 2 (01:32:15):
And I just talked to Bob on his way out.

Speaker 5 (01:32:17):
I said, I know you're an athlete because you don't
have your tip bars on your chair. I have my
training wheels on still, And he.

Speaker 2 (01:32:26):
Goes, hey, you'll get there.

Speaker 5 (01:32:29):
But then I told him, I said, you know, my
accident happened when I was fifty four.

Speaker 4 (01:32:33):
It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks.

Speaker 3 (01:32:37):
Yeah, he's been a chair his whole life.

Speaker 5 (01:32:39):
I know, I said, I said, my graduating class, I
call it it say looks all those guys are doing wheelies,
bumping upstairs and downstairs, and I'm like, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:32:51):
You like, now I'm going to show you my transfer moves.

Speaker 4 (01:32:54):
I'm going two miles an hour, not nineteen.

Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
My goodness, isn't that crazy when you think of the
idiotistics of that? Is so in one hundred meter race, right,
you're going.

Speaker 5 (01:33:06):
That almost twenty which is unbelow I mean on wheels,
but yeah, to get there short in that in that amount.

Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
Of time and then you got to stop.

Speaker 2 (01:33:17):
Yeah, then you do have to stop.

Speaker 3 (01:33:19):
Yeah, I would imagine too, if there's that many people
in wheelchair well, I'm sure they have enough lanes, but
then you think about running into each other, and especially
with the longer races as the.

Speaker 4 (01:33:29):
If you can get off kilter, you can do whatever. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33:33):
I was looking out at Lindy when she was here,
and I thought, man, that person is in good shape
because she was standing there. I'm like, geez. Then and
then she turns around and she got her blade and
then she's one of the athletes.

Speaker 5 (01:33:45):
But yeah, exactly, Yeah, I learned quite a bit about that.
I did ask her after the segment there. I said,
now you know you're qualifying as that based on your
level of injury. And she did explained, yeah, she competes
with anybody with an above knee injury, and there's there

(01:34:07):
can be She goes, there are people who look able body,
but they do have a leg that qualifies with whatever
they're distance.

Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
So it is because I'm a be an advantage if
it's if it's a lower you know, if your prosthetics
starts lower on your body, that you would be more
like able bodied than if it's a higher.

Speaker 4 (01:34:29):
Put those in divisions.

Speaker 5 (01:34:31):
And I did ask her about the blade she puts
on to run, and I said, how how long did
it take to get used to that? She goes quite
a bit and she said, you know, people think, well,
of course you can run fast, you're springing off this blade.
And she said, no, it only gives you what you
put into it, like you know, uh, it's not a

(01:34:55):
mechanical advantage at all.

Speaker 2 (01:34:57):
It's but I wonder Larry is on the blade, like
does she have more than one? That's I did not ask.

Speaker 3 (01:35:04):
She had four legs, three different things. Probably OK, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:35:12):
She said.

Speaker 5 (01:35:13):
She told me she also has her indoor crutches and
her outdoor crutches. Just to get around and stuff. Yeah,
we were and I was talking with Bob. I said,
I said, I'm a guy. I'm just I look at equipment.
I'm an equipment guy.

Speaker 3 (01:35:29):
Yeah, like you know at each other's we know.

Speaker 4 (01:35:32):
I said, yeah, my maintenance guy came two weeks ago.

Speaker 5 (01:35:34):
That was the biggest day of you know, biggest day
of the way, like going to the mechanic and get
your car back.

Speaker 4 (01:35:40):
You feel so good.

Speaker 2 (01:35:43):
So that was that was awesome.

Speaker 5 (01:35:46):
I learned a lot, kind of got hooked up, and following.

Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
We got some swag out of the joint.

Speaker 5 (01:35:53):
I have a sweatshirt falling, so we'll uh uh look
for them in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 4 (01:35:58):
That's a new Jose.

Speaker 3 (01:36:00):
That we could watch it somehow.

Speaker 5 (01:36:03):
I think it is a lot on live stream somewhere
and stream.

Speaker 4 (01:36:07):
And I'm sure you could just probably search that up.

Speaker 2 (01:36:11):
That would be good. Yeah. What's been the last week
since we last It was last Thursday, right, it was
last Thursday.

Speaker 4 (01:36:20):
In the last two weeks in our house, the Trician,
I haven't been to a wedding in several summers and.

Speaker 2 (01:36:28):
Then both bay.

Speaker 5 (01:36:30):
It's the tale of two weekends and the tale of
two different weddings I talked about the other one. We
went to Beautiful in town resident backyard, and I believe
that bride and Guram were introduced to a beautiful It
might have been a John Legend song something like that.

Speaker 4 (01:36:51):
This weekend we drove out to.

Speaker 5 (01:36:56):
A ranch near Springdale, Washington Tune, which I thought it
was a sky misplaced there.

Speaker 4 (01:37:04):
But Springdale and.

Speaker 5 (01:37:08):
Outdoors and you're basically kind of a pasture event area,
and the bride and groom did not come introduced to
John Legend. It was Motley Cruz Kickstart My Heart, and
there was cowboy boots, and there was and there was

(01:37:28):
people in I mean every type of dress, and it
was it was warm, but it was a beautiful breeze
and we had the most fun out there.

Speaker 2 (01:37:42):
One thing that.

Speaker 5 (01:37:44):
Usually I am always running late, and I had I
had everything in my calendar and the GPS because it's
outside area, and I told Trisha, I said, okay, it's
it's a two thirty.

Speaker 4 (01:38:01):
It'd be nice to get there at one. So I texted, oh, you.

Speaker 5 (01:38:06):
Nice to get up there and just drive around. So
we did arrive at one. We drove into the area
and could see there's a lot of cars here, and
actually the mother of the bride kind of came walking
because they were all kind of doing some other things.
And I realized that, no, it didn't start it too.

(01:38:28):
It starts at three thirty. So we were there at
one oh.

Speaker 3 (01:38:35):
Got there early, yes, And they're like, they're still doing
their preparation.

Speaker 5 (01:38:39):
So I acted like, no, we meant to get here
this early. Saw I rolled the window down. I just said,
I was just wondering when we return, is this a
good place to park?

Speaker 4 (01:38:50):
She said yes, and so we drove back out to.

Speaker 5 (01:38:55):
The little town of Springdale and drove down to tiny
little town and then to loom Lake and then you
can go to the Deer Park.

Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
Is not that far, okay, So that's not that.

Speaker 5 (01:39:08):
We went right to the McDonald's, just parked in the
shade and you have chatted. I had a cheeseburger, which
was the best thing effort.

Speaker 3 (01:39:21):
Just a regular cheeseburger, regularly, just a regular cheese.

Speaker 5 (01:39:24):
And probably fries and and something sha because really the
only thing I consumed after that it was in a can.

Speaker 3 (01:39:34):
And you get tanked again.

Speaker 4 (01:39:36):
I didn't get tanked, but my son and my.

Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
Last time you said you were getting Missedy eyed you
a little too much of it was making you emotional.

Speaker 2 (01:39:45):
You said you were going to go to the wedding drunk.
That was here drunk.

Speaker 4 (01:39:52):
Mean, here's the thing I said.

Speaker 5 (01:39:56):
I said, for the first weekend, what in the biggest
deal was one was gonna get missy eyed, which I did,
And I said, the biggest fear of the next wedding
was possibly getting drunk.

Speaker 2 (01:40:10):
Didn't get drunk.

Speaker 5 (01:40:12):
But I do have to say this, and I it
was just a fun It was almost like family reunion
from both sides and friends and so forth, and laughter
and everything in between. And then the only time that
I got misty eyed was when the groom, my son's

(01:40:35):
good friend hugged his mother.

Speaker 3 (01:40:37):
Oh there you go again.

Speaker 5 (01:40:41):
But it was just, you know, it was just a
mist It wasn't well in the breeze, you know, it
was something in your eye.

Speaker 2 (01:40:49):
It wasn't a down park.

Speaker 4 (01:40:50):
It was not a downpour.

Speaker 5 (01:40:52):
But then after the ceremony, man just the huge party
and dinner and.

Speaker 3 (01:41:00):
And this was the one that Dylan was in. And
they went up the day before and they opted for
a hotel rather than cant did they did.

Speaker 2 (01:41:06):
There was a lot of in this place.

Speaker 4 (01:41:09):
Is I guess.

Speaker 5 (01:41:09):
It's called the Moose Valley Ranch, and I think primarily
like hunters go there and stay overnight. Just gorgeous mountains
behind and and but it's a venue for events and
all that. So yeah, my son opted for Airbnb the

(01:41:30):
night before. When we got there, and you know, there
are all the grooms. There was eight attendance.

Speaker 4 (01:41:37):
On cheese and all standing up there and looking good.

Speaker 5 (01:41:42):
I could tell my son was just you can tell
by looking at your own child.

Speaker 4 (01:41:47):
I said, he's exhausted. Yeah, and it's a long day
and this and.

Speaker 5 (01:41:54):
That, and and we got to sit with his his
fairy good friend, his girlfriend, she sat with us. She
is good friends with the bride, and that's kind of
how those two groups even intercepted. And so she sat
with us and she told us last night during the rehearsal,

(01:42:19):
I had to tell I had to tell Dylan to
sittand up straight because he kept just kind of.

Speaker 4 (01:42:25):
He was like he was just wavering around.

Speaker 5 (01:42:30):
And then I could tell when everything was done and
he came over in his tucks and everything.

Speaker 4 (01:42:37):
He said, did I do a good job?

Speaker 5 (01:42:43):
It was very good, handsome wedding. His first time being
in a wedding, yeah, of course. And you know, just
meeting and greeting everybody, I do have to give a
shout out to and I wrote their names down because
they were so nice. A gal mat I saw a

(01:43:07):
gal just making a beeline to me and I, you know,
you're going in your ead?

Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
What did I do to her?

Speaker 2 (01:43:14):
She goes, you don't know me, but.

Speaker 5 (01:43:16):
I just want to say I listened to your show,
our show for years and years and years.

Speaker 4 (01:43:23):
And her name was Heather. Thank you very much, Heather.

Speaker 5 (01:43:27):
And then another gal came up and said, I am
a cousin of the groom and in the same story.

Speaker 3 (01:43:36):
As listener, and they listened to the new show too.

Speaker 2 (01:43:39):
Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:43:40):
I wonder if it's one of our we have, we
have several Heathers.

Speaker 2 (01:43:44):
Very well, could be.

Speaker 3 (01:43:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:43:45):
And just on the other total different tip of that,
Trisha went to her pick up some prescriptions yesterday and
the pharmacist said, can I ask you a question? Is
your's been ken? And she said yes. She goes, I
just want to tell you I listened to their show

(01:44:08):
since I was eleven.

Speaker 3 (01:44:09):
Oh my god, I think that's sixth grade.

Speaker 5 (01:44:12):
He's a pharmacist and he is very trist said, well,
they're still on and she he went on his phone
and stop and so thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:44:26):
They're out there.

Speaker 3 (01:44:27):
They're so nice. People are still finding us.

Speaker 4 (01:44:30):
Yes they are.

Speaker 3 (01:44:31):
You know, in two weeks from now, not next week
when you come in, but possibly the week after when
you come in, you'll come in and just stay downstairs.
No more elevator will be downstairs.

Speaker 2 (01:44:41):
New studio.

Speaker 5 (01:44:42):
I've seen your guys's teaser and I've rolled by the
actual thing, but I haven't ducked my.

Speaker 3 (01:44:48):
Head any Yeah, we need to put our heads in.

Speaker 2 (01:44:51):
That is going to be very cool.

Speaker 3 (01:44:53):
It's yeah, it's going to be a change. We're gonna
have to get used to it. But that's what we do.
We adapt.

Speaker 2 (01:44:57):
Yeah, we're adapts.

Speaker 3 (01:44:59):
We're doptors.

Speaker 4 (01:45:00):
Hey, I just want to say real quick, you guys
look really.

Speaker 3 (01:45:03):
Good and red Oh thanks, I know you guys.

Speaker 5 (01:45:06):
Yeah the fundraiser. Yeah, and I got a little bit
more to the story. Uh, when my son went to
pick up a tux and he ran there to Dave.

Speaker 2 (01:45:19):
And and my son.

Speaker 5 (01:45:20):
He's so he's so understated. He never it's just after
the fact. He said, you know, he ran into Dave
and he said, yeah, Dave said, I need a lot
of red.

Speaker 4 (01:45:33):
And then and then he said he.

Speaker 5 (01:45:36):
Heard the guy say okay, well let's see what's your
sizes and Dave said, oh god, I and and it
just tailed off, oh god, I don't. And then but
he would just come home and say that it's like
the King.

Speaker 2 (01:45:55):
It was like more to the story.

Speaker 5 (01:45:57):
Oh god, we don't know well that those.

Speaker 2 (01:46:03):
People are so good, the mister Tuxta and Kareem. You
know Kareem. Oh yeah, Kareem has been I believe he's
been there for like thirty years. Yeah. I can't believe
he's still there. And so you know, he's you've seen
the you know, progression, the progression, the growth, you know, right,
So that's why I was probably a little bit. I don't,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
Don't look at the last one you rented.

Speaker 4 (01:46:25):
Don't you have.

Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
It in the records.

Speaker 3 (01:46:28):
Somewhere in his mind he's saying, I know we have
the records, but there's differences. I'm just gonna casually pretend
I don't have any records.

Speaker 2 (01:46:38):
Right, Damn.

Speaker 3 (01:46:42):
That's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (01:46:43):
So that's yeah, and that ties it all together because
Sam was the host for the Cancer Can event and
then he's also the co host for the Spokan parasport boy.
He is busy. Yeah, he does a lot of those.
He's good to Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:47:00):
Hey, I firsthand, Uh got the same explaining, did you see?

Speaker 3 (01:47:06):
But I heard and he was down on his It
was it was he was crouched down on his knee
and his what he said when the parasport people came,
he said, I'll do a quick introduction and hand it
over to you. Sure, And so Dave and I were
laughing because it was five minutes maybe six into it,
we still hadn't heard from the sports people.

Speaker 6 (01:47:26):
He was still explaining, well set up, But I thought
I thought it worked to our advantage that he was
not in a chair and he was on one knees, Like, well,
he's going to get uncomfortable.

Speaker 2 (01:47:37):
He's going to want to move this along so he
can stand. Thought there because this this uh you know
this carpet, but underneath the carpet, I think it's cement.
I mean it's it's a hard surface A night, I
don't I mean my knee on that would hurt.

Speaker 3 (01:47:55):
Yeah, So he was squatting, popping a squat.

Speaker 4 (01:47:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:48:00):
I was also going to tell Sam real quick. Uh,
And I know he told this story probably two months ago.
I remember I too looked at I don't usually look
at my credit card bunch of my debit, and I
saw a charge on there for a dollar seventy six.

Speaker 4 (01:48:16):
I said, what the hell is this?

Speaker 2 (01:48:19):
And then I did turn out immediate mean realise.

Speaker 5 (01:48:24):
Almost two dollars I used to see in the Spotify
and all the stuff, and I go, what the And then.

Speaker 4 (01:48:32):
It turns out it was a strawberry pop tart.

Speaker 1 (01:48:35):
That I bought, the little stead thing.

Speaker 5 (01:48:38):
And it shows up with somewhere to drive, ask like
market something.

Speaker 3 (01:48:43):
You're like, I haven't been to Seattle.

Speaker 4 (01:48:45):
I didn't, I haven't been to Provo. What the Yeah?
So it was a strawberry pop tarkwn.

Speaker 2 (01:48:55):
And you got your you got your Mariner's lander on
your land, and uh, the streak was snapped last night.

Speaker 5 (01:49:02):
It was, but our friend mister Rawley is on fire,
hit a couple of more home runs and then what
did they half came out, but I came out.

Speaker 2 (01:49:13):
Now I think they can tie it.

Speaker 4 (01:49:14):
I don't think Houston plays right.

Speaker 2 (01:49:16):
The Houston's day off before the big series this week,
Oh I know, yeah, and we got we got Castillo.
In fact, the game starts here in a couple hours.

Speaker 4 (01:49:25):
I think it's like ten or something.

Speaker 2 (01:49:27):
And we never overlook an opponent. But well, after we
win today, then we get ready for the big series.

Speaker 3 (01:49:33):
Then the gave overlooked the opponent yesterday and that's what happened.

Speaker 5 (01:49:38):
I was really disappointed yesterday. But you know, very very tough.
That's in there, and I know, hey, we got football
back tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:49:51):
Will you come to our anniversary party on Wednesday night?
Next Wednesday?

Speaker 4 (01:49:55):
Next one? I'll have to put that.

Speaker 3 (01:49:57):
Oh it's Mary Hill.

Speaker 2 (01:49:59):
It's the year.

Speaker 3 (01:50:00):
Yeah, the day after there. So if you and Trish
wanted to come and hang out with.

Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
Us, it's anniversary week next week.

Speaker 4 (01:50:09):
Yeah, and we've got a couple of huge events we have.

Speaker 3 (01:50:12):
We're gonna be together Friday and Saturday night.

Speaker 4 (01:50:15):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:50:15):
Wait, you see all the safety Net stuff. We had
some good stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:50:19):
Really good.

Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:50:21):
And the last time we're all together, yeah, we gave
away forty five thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:50:26):
That's right, boy, we have we have oh yeah, three
days in a row, will be together.

Speaker 3 (01:50:34):
That's right, Friday, Saturday and Monday.

Speaker 2 (01:50:37):
Oh I guess not Sunday.

Speaker 3 (01:50:38):
Yeah, well unless we have a sleepover.

Speaker 4 (01:50:41):
Right, we have a fantasy football party or something.

Speaker 2 (01:50:47):
Football.

Speaker 3 (01:50:47):
That's going to be a lot of us. We better
get along. We better behave ourselves and get.

Speaker 2 (01:50:52):
Along quite a bit of us.

Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
Yeah, okay, all.

Speaker 2 (01:50:57):
Right, well we're gonna take a break. We'll do fun
for We're gonna do fun today since we didn't have
to do it yesterday. And it'll be fun to have
you in here because you you're a good fun fact detector.

Speaker 4 (01:51:06):
We can.

Speaker 2 (01:51:08):
Keep track of those, so we'll get to that. We'll
also have our hot topic segment coming up as well.
The David Molly Show continues with Ken, live from the
Numerica Studios.

Speaker 1 (01:51:22):
We now return to The Dave and Molly Show, Live
from the Numerica Studios.

Speaker 2 (01:51:27):
All right, we're back, and it's a we're gonna shift
gears here a little bit because usually Wednesdays we do
the fun facts. We ran a little late yesterday, so
we're moving fun facts to today. And it's perfect because
Ken's here, and I always remember when you two ye
were would team up against me and the fun facts
trying to decipher which one is fake fun fact were

(01:51:50):
very good. Like the judge's panel.

Speaker 3 (01:51:52):
Sniffy out a little better because then we bounce back
and forth. He also though he doesn't allow as many
questions as he used to. Put the clamp down. He's like, okay,
all right, we're moving.

Speaker 4 (01:52:03):
Yeah, and with the help from the texture, yeah, of course,
and all that.

Speaker 2 (01:52:08):
Last year, I think our last the last time we
did this, nobody on the text line got it either.

Speaker 3 (01:52:14):
That's right. The Dutch pros text line is five nine
four four eight three two three seven four eight three
two three seven. So if you're taking notes and then
you want to chime in, then we'll need.

Speaker 4 (01:52:26):
You at the right and almost do that in real time.

Speaker 2 (01:52:29):
Yeah, here's how fun facts works. I have a series
of true statements. Uh, they're all I don't know, they're
interesting facts. I mixed in one that I made up.
Your job is to identify at the end of the
segment which one was the fake fun fact. What's the
only rule for fun facts that there's only one fun

(01:52:51):
fact fake?

Speaker 3 (01:52:52):
The only rule is what googling? Oh sorry, I was like, whoa.

Speaker 2 (01:52:58):
Okay, it's not the game.

Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
If you true, If you were on the text line
and you know a fact, for sure, you're welcome to
say you know what, I know that one the money
just said about the fish or whatever. That's real. I
know that to be true. That helps us all as
a team.

Speaker 2 (01:53:12):
Sure, okay, that does Yeah, all right, verifies let's begin,
all right. Marilyn Monroe was born the same year as
Hugh Hefner. She was born June first, nineteen twenty six,
and he was born two months earlier, on April ninth,

(01:53:33):
the same year. Game of Thrones and Friends had roughly
the same budget, at ten million dollars per episode. Friends
cost that much even two decades earlier, because the cast's
salaries were so high.

Speaker 3 (01:53:52):
So ten million dollars was the budget for a Game
of Thrones per episode. Yes, that what you're saying, and
so is Friends because of their hef well, six million
dollars of that went to the cast, right, yeah, remember, Okay,
a couple of weeks ago, he said Game of Thrones
pilot was not accepted because what did you say? There
were multiple comedy comedic moments. No, there were comedic moments

(01:54:18):
in multiple multiple orgy scenes.

Speaker 5 (01:54:21):
Yes, oh and I.

Speaker 3 (01:54:26):
Multiple multiple orgy scenes. There are comedic moment, yeah, comedic moments.

Speaker 2 (01:54:32):
I was very proud of that one. It was very
happy with that. There are two songs in history that
spent ten weeks at number two on the Billboard chart
without ever making it to number one. Waiting for a
Girl Like You by Foreigner in nineteen eighty one and

(01:54:53):
Work It by Missy Elliott in two thousand and two.

Speaker 3 (01:55:00):
Work It Are worth it, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (01:55:04):
Yeah? Worth it is. They're thinking about it.

Speaker 3 (01:55:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:55:10):
The get out of jail Free card from Monopoly was
a real thing in England in fifteen sixty seven. There
was a lottery to raise money for the Navy, and
the winner got a get out of jail free card
to excuse them from everything but the most serious of crimes.

Speaker 5 (01:55:32):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:55:33):
Yeah, I've got my first circle people a little store
on that one. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:55:41):
When Sherwood Swartz was first given the pilot for Gilligan's Island,
there were eight castaways. A doctor was excluded from the show.
The writers thought it would be too hard to have
eight for various storylines.

Speaker 4 (01:55:58):
I think it was more because is the song.

Speaker 3 (01:56:01):
They just can make it whole doctor and Marianne.

Speaker 4 (01:56:05):
They already had to redo it twice.

Speaker 2 (01:56:07):
Yeah, the Professor and Marianne and the rest, plus the
doctor too. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:56:14):
Yeah, and look there is the doctor who came on
board last minute.

Speaker 2 (01:56:19):
Yeah, a doctor tour. Will Smith's part in Men in
Black was originally offered to David Schwimmer, but he turned
it down. There were sixty one million people using pagers

(01:56:39):
in nineteen ninety four. That number is now down to
two million, mostly in hospitals doctors.

Speaker 3 (01:56:48):
Oh, man, I remember that. I remember the page are
going off and I was waiting tables and it was
my pocket and then you'd see the number pop up, like, oh,
what's my agent? Oh I hope I have an audition. Yeah,
and it wouldn't be like your friend and papers were
I mean, that was the that was a way to connect.
It was pretty good with it was.

Speaker 4 (01:57:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:57:11):
The world record for most people on a commercial flight
is one thousand and eighty eight. That includes the number,
or that number includes two babies that were born on
the flight.

Speaker 3 (01:57:25):
Oh what kind of airplane was that? One thousand and
eighty eight people and two babies were born on the flight.

Speaker 4 (01:57:32):
You should know the flight.

Speaker 5 (01:57:34):
Yeah, it could have been trans continental flying.

Speaker 4 (01:57:37):
Could have been our friends are flying to New doll.

Speaker 3 (01:57:42):
But with one thousand people on board and two babies.

Speaker 2 (01:57:46):
Are born, could have been twins, could have been twins.

Speaker 4 (01:57:50):
I don't like I know anything about it.

Speaker 3 (01:57:54):
I would like to know the details of that. Okay, Okay,
I don't know kind of flame and how old I
may people.

Speaker 2 (01:58:02):
If you wanted to buy the parts in an iPhone
back in nineteen ninety one, it would have cost over
twelve million dollars. And that's not even including the camera
or a screen.

Speaker 3 (01:58:17):
Back when how long ago in the nineties.

Speaker 2 (01:58:19):
Nineteen ninety one. Okay, One out of every two million
lobsters is blue, one in thirty million is a yellow
orange color, and one in fifty million is a dual

(01:58:41):
dual colored split down the middle, and one in one
hundred lobsters is white or translucent.

Speaker 3 (01:58:52):
That's too many numbers to throw around. Yeah, there better
not be something hidden within there. Let's just call it
an interesting fact and move.

Speaker 2 (01:59:00):
About lobsters, about sures, and don't you got to have
a lobster fun fact to throw that in there?

Speaker 3 (01:59:08):
Okay, all right, moving on stir.

Speaker 2 (01:59:13):
One of the reasons the World Wildlife Fund went to
a panda bear for their logo is because it's black
and white, which saves money on printing costs.

Speaker 4 (01:59:28):
Actually makes sense, awesome, rather than.

Speaker 3 (01:59:32):
A peacock or something.

Speaker 2 (01:59:34):
Yes, yeh, yeah, peacock would because way more.

Speaker 3 (01:59:37):
Oh, yeah, ridiculous quite a few.

Speaker 2 (01:59:41):
Yes, over sixty two percent of Starbucks stores have another
one within one mile.

Speaker 3 (01:59:50):
I believe that.

Speaker 2 (01:59:51):
And the average store has three point six other stores
within one mile. Hmm.

Speaker 3 (02:00:00):
I don't know if it's exactly what you're saying, but
it sounds at least in the ballpark.

Speaker 2 (02:00:04):
Yeah, it's ballpark, ballpark, don't you do that?

Speaker 3 (02:00:08):
I don't know explaining.

Speaker 2 (02:00:11):
It takes over eight hundred gallons of water to produce
one gallon of wine.

Speaker 4 (02:00:19):
Ooho, one gallon.

Speaker 3 (02:00:23):
Next time I drink a gallon of wine, I'm gonna
say I really appreciate thank you eight hundred gallons for
providing me for this gallon of wine.

Speaker 2 (02:00:30):
Yes, it's a good trade off. Canada, California, and Tokyo
all have about the same populations. Canada's current population is
estimated at just over forty one million, Tokyo's metro area
has nearly forty one million people, and California has over

(02:00:54):
thirty nine million.

Speaker 3 (02:01:00):
Out a country and a state and a city with
all the same population.

Speaker 2 (02:01:06):
Yeah, Canada.

Speaker 3 (02:01:07):
That it's an interesting fun fact if it were true.

Speaker 2 (02:01:12):
Correcked Tom Brady was drafted by the Montreal Expos in
the eighteenth round of the Major League Baseball Draft in
nineteen ninety five, but he decided to stick with his
plan to go to the University of Michigan and play football.

Speaker 3 (02:01:29):
How'd that work out college?

Speaker 2 (02:01:32):
Not so well? Bro's pretty good, Pretty darn good.

Speaker 4 (02:01:36):
Yeah, that's odd.

Speaker 5 (02:01:37):
I had never heard that one about mister Brady, but
I could believe it.

Speaker 2 (02:01:42):
He's an athlete.

Speaker 3 (02:01:43):
Last time he last time he did a baseball one.
Last time it was about oh yes, it was two
weeks ago, and it was the singer. It was what's
his name who sings the Candyman? Yes, oh Sarah. He
said that he was drafted to a minor league team
and he played one season and he even gave a

(02:02:04):
batting average of like one thirty three or something. He
was really just floated by us and.

Speaker 4 (02:02:11):
Down, yeah too away.

Speaker 2 (02:02:17):
Until I formed the fake Remember the bird from the
old Twitter logo. It has a name Larry, as in
Larry Bird because the co founder of Twitter, Biz Stone,
grew up in the Boston area and he was a
huge Celtics fan.

Speaker 4 (02:02:39):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 2 (02:02:44):
After President James Garfield was shot in an assassination attempt,
he couldn't hold food down, so for the last month
of his life, his doctors fed him through his rectal cavity.

Speaker 3 (02:03:01):
They put food up his butt.

Speaker 4 (02:03:04):
Well, Mollie, well that's what he's saying. That is true.

Speaker 3 (02:03:09):
I'm time for your butt feeding, sir. Yep, but we're
wrapping this office. Okay, chores down. But there, what are you, turkey?
What do you want for?

Speaker 4 (02:03:23):
Not the st.

Speaker 2 (02:03:32):
Not the sunflower seeds with the shells, no.

Speaker 3 (02:03:37):
Lobster out.

Speaker 2 (02:03:38):
I told you I hate clontro.

Speaker 3 (02:03:45):
Entire orange.

Speaker 2 (02:03:52):
The US has the highest drinking age in North or
South America. The next closest to US is Raguay at
age twenty and the last of our fun facts. The
Guinness Book of World Records has discontinued some of its categories, including,

(02:04:18):
but not including, but you.

Speaker 3 (02:04:21):
Know, not limited to.

Speaker 2 (02:04:24):
Raw egg consumption, oh, heaviest pet and most beers consumed
in an hour.

Speaker 3 (02:04:32):
Well, the best to get rid.

Speaker 4 (02:04:35):
Of those safety issues.

Speaker 3 (02:04:38):
Safety first, okay, so.

Speaker 2 (02:04:42):
Quite a few.

Speaker 3 (02:04:45):
I have a few questions here.

Speaker 2 (02:04:48):
Only one of those is fake.

Speaker 3 (02:04:51):
Well, okay, I'm thinking that they get out of jail
free card, that kind of And then they got Gilligan
and the doctor, the flight thing. I don't know how
they put that many people on board, but there's gonna
be some weird thing where it was like an airlift.
I don't know. It's a commercial though.

Speaker 4 (02:05:10):
Do we think Ross really was in the running for
Minute Black?

Speaker 3 (02:05:14):
I don't know about that.

Speaker 2 (02:05:14):
He would have been filming friends.

Speaker 3 (02:05:16):
Would Yeah, and it is a silly role.

Speaker 5 (02:05:22):
Rachel, Yeah, I mean I mean something would have liked
that would have happened.

Speaker 2 (02:05:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:05:29):
Also, I worry about the panda thing. Just like you
don't decide on an animal to save money. I'm printing.
You don't be like, oh, that's gonna be the mascot
because we want to save some many on print.

Speaker 2 (02:05:39):
That could have been a byproduct.

Speaker 3 (02:05:41):
Could have been anything. See Jennifer says, I'm going to
guess Ross, what else? What are you thinking?

Speaker 4 (02:05:49):
Ken I?

Speaker 2 (02:05:51):
Trevor says, I'm thinking Gilligan is fake? Why have a
professor and a doctor?

Speaker 3 (02:05:58):
Well that's it didn't But.

Speaker 5 (02:06:01):
You know, you do the pilots that that iPhone parts thing, Oh.

Speaker 3 (02:06:06):
Yeah, that sounded a little.

Speaker 2 (02:06:08):
The original parts would cost that much.

Speaker 3 (02:06:12):
Yeah, that seemed a little high.

Speaker 5 (02:06:14):
And also a little disparity I believe on the Canada
Tokyo Pallifornia thing, but I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (02:06:25):
Well, there's think of how much of Canada doesn't have anybody,
the territories up north, there's just it's all right.

Speaker 5 (02:06:34):
Yeah, it is the low, wide open mm.

Speaker 2 (02:06:41):
Jesse says the Pandel logo is the fake. Carla says
Friends is fake. Molly says Gilligan's Island. Linda says the
iPhone is fake. Ah Regina says lobsters or butt feeding.

Speaker 4 (02:06:59):
Well rock feeding.

Speaker 2 (02:07:01):
Aaron says Twitter bird is fake.

Speaker 3 (02:07:03):
I don't. I think the bird's name is Larry. I
know that, but I don't know that it was named
after Larry bird. That might be where you're I think
I've heard that, have you. I know the bird's name
is Larry, but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:07:15):
Well it's it's a bird named Larry. I know Larry bird.

Speaker 3 (02:07:22):
Don't do that. Don't do that. Twitter Ryan lobster statistic
is fake.

Speaker 5 (02:07:29):
You know.

Speaker 3 (02:07:29):
I'm leaning towards the lobster too this whole. I think
that there are blue lobster. There are blue and I
don't think there's two tone. I don't. He said it
was right down the center, right down.

Speaker 2 (02:07:40):
There are there's a translucent one. I believe.

Speaker 3 (02:07:44):
Yeah, but there's no yeah, no, I mean.

Speaker 2 (02:07:49):
Yeah, Okay, Well, one more on the text line. Curtis
says Larry as the bird's name is fake. Sarah says,
I call on the lobster facts. Jessica says the Guinness
Book of World Records one is fake. Julie says the
lobster is fake. Paula says, friends, Ah, are you guys

(02:08:11):
locking in on one? We're gonna we'll call it right here.

Speaker 5 (02:08:14):
I'm gonna lock in, Okay, I'm locking in only because
I don't think Tokyo has that many people.

Speaker 3 (02:08:22):
Okay, Tokyo that.

Speaker 4 (02:08:26):
It is a massive city, but yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:08:29):
The same size as California and Canada. Right, that's where
I go.

Speaker 3 (02:08:34):
Oh, he look at him. I'm gonna go with the lobster.
I think you went one too far. I think that
there is there is one in a million, there's one
and blah blah blah. But there is no two tones
straight down the middle of lobster. So for those reasons, Dave,
I'm locking in on lobster.

Speaker 2 (02:08:51):
So we got lobster, we got Canada, California, Tokyo right
in the studio. Uh huh. The fake fun fact has
been identified. It has, but only on the text line.

Speaker 3 (02:09:07):
Really is it the bird thing?

Speaker 2 (02:09:10):
Is it the iPhone parts?

Speaker 3 (02:09:11):
No? Friends, Gilligan, it's too simple.

Speaker 2 (02:09:22):
Could have assumed.

Speaker 3 (02:09:27):
Better sports.

Speaker 2 (02:09:30):
Wow, Yeah, that one I made and the and I
made that one up as I was looking at our
archives stuff. And there's one that says Gilligan because the
thing where I said Gilligan was like the least sexy name.
You know, I'll make something about Gilligan's island.

Speaker 3 (02:09:46):
So anyway, I should have known better.

Speaker 2 (02:09:50):
But everything else, everything else was true. The whole lobster
thing is crazy numbers, but it's true.

Speaker 3 (02:09:56):
The whole a thousand people on one aircraft. Two babies
were born.

Speaker 2 (02:10:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:10:01):
Does it have any more information about that?

Speaker 5 (02:10:03):
Right?

Speaker 2 (02:10:04):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (02:10:05):
I guess it was a Spokanne Bonachi flight to which
is weird.

Speaker 2 (02:10:09):
That's crazy, my goodness. Yeah, the win in the labor yaxiway.

Speaker 3 (02:10:16):
Somewhere over spangled.

Speaker 2 (02:10:18):
I don't know beginning. Yeah, this is true. The world
record for the most people on a commercial flight one
thousand and eighty eight. That number includes two babies that
were born on the flight. That is Transford.

Speaker 3 (02:10:38):
Here's okay, all right, So here's this the Airbus three
D has eight hundred and fifty three passengers available, So
would you add crew in because they have a lot
of crew on those eight three It had to was
it nineteen ninety one? Did they?

Speaker 2 (02:10:55):
It doesn't. We don't have a year, just over one thousand.

Speaker 3 (02:10:57):
While that's crazy. Oh oh, here we go. Most passengers
on a single flight. It was an evacuation in nineteen
ninety one. One thousand and eighty eight people were transported
during the mission, and it was a seven forty seven.
I have a feeling that everybody had a seatbelt. Oh
it was an that's what I'm thinking. Yes, okay, that's crazy, man,

(02:11:20):
And that's why two people have babies because they didn't
think they were going to fly. They were getting evacuated
from somewhere. Oh so okay, because normally you don't even
get to fly when you're that far along. So that
all makes sense. Now, that's why you don't get to google,
you guys.

Speaker 2 (02:11:36):
That's a true one.

Speaker 4 (02:11:37):
You can't do that.

Speaker 3 (02:11:38):
Crazy. Well, nice job you got us, and I think
you got me on my turf ding it.

Speaker 5 (02:11:45):
And the next time you have a nice glass of wine.
It took eight hundred pounds of water.

Speaker 2 (02:11:51):
Actually, I haven't downgraded that because I think there is
an actual number. I think it's like eight forty two,
and I just said over eight hundred, just because.

Speaker 3 (02:11:58):
It's because all the irrigation and stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:12:01):
I heard a similar stat when we were getting a tour.

Speaker 3 (02:12:04):
A couple of weeks ago, when he was mistaken for
a wine expert at and treated.

Speaker 2 (02:12:11):
That's what it had. They rolled out the red carpet
and it's like, we're not worthy of this. We don't,
but I'm not going to say no. All right, after
a break, we'll come back with our hot topics and uh, yeah,
it's been a good day. I think it's been a
very good day. Great quick break back with hot topics.
