Speaker 1 (00:06):
Bye from the Numerica Studio and brought to you by
Northern Quest Resort and Casino.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
It's the Dave then Molly Show. This is a day
one of year two.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Oh my gosh, that's right.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
That's how we say it.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
And tonight, tonight is the anniversary party night one year anniversary.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
And you claim you're gonna get tanked.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Well you said that, Well that no.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
I'm down I'm downgrading my tankness.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
I am too.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I'm going to be pleasantly happy with everybody. I don't
think tanking is a good idea. I think we're short
a few men in our health department right now.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
But that's okay, that's right.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
On the other side of it, Yeah, it's gonna be fine.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Everything's fine, and there's still and there's you know, there's
tonight and then you know, personally for us, there's there's
things of the rest of the week.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
So oh, you know, we're going to pace ourselves.
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Of course, we're still going to go to you know,
a high tank level. Oh yeah, but we just can't
cross over because we don't want to pass away. That's right, Yeah,
neither one of us want to pass away.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
And yesterday I was right on the edge of passing away,
and then I remembered what somebody just said. They said,
if you pass away, don't worry, you can just rise again.
And then it was only two people I know of.
One well, it's Jesus. The other one was you. So
I thought, yeah, I thought, I can't do what Jesus
can do, but I can do what Dave can do.
(01:35):
If he can do it, I can do it well.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
And I will say that.
Speaker 4 (01:40):
My even yesterday, I probably the worst part of it
yesterday was probably around twelve thirty one o'clock. Yeah, and
I was like, oh boy, I'm in trouble. And then
I took a nap and took you know, I was
very very good to myself yesterday. But even at that
moment yesterday, yes, that there's no work close to the
(02:01):
time that I had passed away in the air.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
That was That's the sickest I've ever seen you. I've
never seen you miss work that many days.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
That was the worst I'd ever been. Yeah, I was
hospital right.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Right anyway, Well, I think I'm surprised that I feel
better today. I was worried that it was going to
get worse, but I just kind of went about my
normal situation, and it was yesterday. There was a moment
that when I was getting a lot of text and
phone calls and I had a throbbing headache, and I
just said, I'm quieting my phone. You guys, I can't,
(02:35):
I can't. I'm not going to make good decisions.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
I don't. You're on your own because this is crunch
time for our fundraisers. So there's a lot of little
you know, people are and they're very nice volunteers, and
you don't want to be like when somebody's volunteering their time,
you don't want to say, I can't talk to you
right now, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
I don't want to do that.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
So there's a lot of that list yesterday anyway, So
what did you do it your day?
Speaker 2 (03:01):
I got home and yeah, I was I struggled a bit.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Yeah, And then I told my daughter, I said, I
am heading upstairs. I said, I don't know how long
I'm going to sleep, but I'm not saying any alarm
or anything like that. And then of all the days
there was, we had a neighbor that came to the
door and then I had the first of two wine
deliveries while I was sleeping oh wow. So, I mean
(03:30):
I think I kind of woke up during part of it,
so there was activity, So it wasn't like, you know,
oh I got a nice long nap, you know. So
then I got up. I never left the house. I
never went outside. I thought, for sure, I will, I'll
get outside, I'll get some fresh air. I'll take Malli
for a walk or maybe even do some artwork. I
have an empty bin. There's nothing in the yard. Today's Wednesday.
(03:53):
It's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. Yeah,
terrible robbing you. Oh yeah, yeah, gosh, so so said no,
that was inside the whole time. I was trying to
find something on Netflix, and Tuesday's kind of the lost
day for football. I mean, they have all the recap stuff,
but it's like I already.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
I don't want this. I already know everything they're going
to tell me.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
I don't need you experts to tell me anything I
already need. So I didn't need the football shows. So
I go over to Netflix and they have this Mafia.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Did you watch it?
Speaker 2 (04:29):
The Canadian thing? Yeah? It was the Canadian It's like
who knew, Like who knew that there was like this
these two biggest mafia people in the world are in Canada.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
Yeah, so I did watch that. Yeah, but I was
kind of in and out, you know. Then I had
the Then another wine delivery showed up, so I had
two different wine delivery, you know, from and I really
got to thinking, as I'm trying to put all the
wine in the cupboard and it barely fits.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
When are you going to drink it all?
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Exactly? It's like, I think I need.
Speaker 3 (05:04):
To just you need to have a gathering, a wine gallery.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Yeah, maybe that's it.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Do you like a taste thing, it's fun blind taste thing.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Well, I'm going to do some kind of football thing
one of these weekends where it's just a you know,
everybody come over and you know. But but the second
wine delivery, the one that I actually had to sign for.
My daughter had to sign for the first one. But
the one that I signed for, that's the those are
all good ones, Like those are all well, it's good stuff.
(05:35):
I'm not sharing that with any of my friends.
Speaker 3 (05:38):
Do you have a good way to store it so
it won't go bad? And do you lay it on
it signs?
Speaker 4 (05:42):
It's it's in a it's in a cupboard, it's it's okay, so.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
It's good in case of you know what, in case
of armageddon or martial law, you'll have plenty of wine.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yes, don't worry, I'm ready.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
It'll be okay for martial law.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
The other thing, my dog dogs, of course, know when
you're not Oh yes, she was not leaving my side.
She was just right, Oh yeah, she was right there
with me, had her had her head all leg and
I think she kind of knew that I was not,
and it wasn't. And sometimes when she does that, it's
(06:19):
kind of like her way of saying, hey, come on,
let's go, right, take me outside.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I don't want to go. But it wasn't that at all.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
I could just tell she was just like, okay, you're
not doing well. I'll just hang out with you and
we'll watch TV together.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I like when they lower their expert expectations. You can
watch them do it because they're happy to see you,
and then they sort of see you and they're like, oh, okay,
all right, re read right. There's no walk there, and
you know they're taking it off. I'll probably still get
a treat. That's good, and I know they'll feed me,
but okay, no walk. But a lot of couch time
I get to cozy.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yeah, I had her snuggle right up against me. She
was she was the same thing. I just think they
feel your energy. They just know it's like you're no,
I'm fine, canceled being fine.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Yeah, that's what it was. So it was like just
a lot of the TV and then I switched over
to the Mariner game. You know, the Mariners are playing.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
The Rockies, one of the worst teams in all of baseball.
I think they maybe they are the worst team, and
they're trailing and it's like, you know, three to one,
it's in the eighth inning. I'm about ready to bail
on them, you know, just thinking maybe it's not to be.
And then they went ahead and scored three runs and
then they won. So everything's fine. Now they've clinched a
(07:34):
playoff spot. That part is done. But what we really
care about is winning the division. And the magic number
is now one.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
They just need to win one game.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
They win one.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Game, or the Disastros lose a game, and each team
has five games left, then the Mariners are the Champions
Division champions. And then I found this out, So when
they clinch, I can't I can't cash my tickets. The
season has to end, so the regular season then, so
(08:08):
Sunday night, well probably Monday is when I'll be able
to cash all my tickets.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
So if they, let's just say tomorrow are today the
Mariners win one, but then they lose the rest of
them and the Astros win the rest of their still
can't make it. This is it?
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Yeah, because they're for the Houston loss last night. So yeah,
so I was, well, the magic number is one, so
that's any combination of Mariner wins or Astro lose crosses.
So but yesterday, because of what happened, they have clinched.
So they're in the playoffs no matter what. So even
if they lose all the rest of their games and
(08:50):
the Astros win all the rest of their games.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
They'll at least be in as a wildcard. Okay, So
that was good.
Speaker 4 (08:58):
And as soon as the game was over, it was
like click, uh, go to sleep, went right right to sleep.
I wake up at two twenty two. Then I look
to make sure that the Sleep five is plugging. It
was still plugged in, and then I thought, oh good,
I should be falling asleep. Palm yeah, and then I
was out again so then and then the alarm was
(09:18):
when the alarm went off this morning, It's like, oh,
I hit this news a couple of times. I was
a little little late getting in this morning.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
But I'm rally in. I think I think I'm going
to be okay.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Yeah, I think I think I'll be okay too. I uh,
good news, bad news on yesterday. So so I left
here and where was I heading? I was heading up
to Magic Soup Land.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Oh that's the good news. Oh that's bad news.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
I didn't have any magic soup.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
They're at a magic suit and I didn't like.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
Their attitude about it, none of it. I got that
there's five soups and none of them are the jalapeno,
and so I had the choice of tortilla, which was creamy.
I knew I was going to do that, potato leak,
chicken kale. Then there's another one that's what I'm saying,
(10:07):
and one other one, and then they had chicken and
brown rice, and I thought, okay, well that's the closest
thing and I'll get a bowl of that. But I
was very highly disappointed highly So then I go over
to the cabinet. They have all this beautiful food there
and you know, just salads and stuff, and I thought, well,
I'll get something else for later so that I don't
(10:28):
have to worry about dinner or anything. And the gal says,
you know, I can I get you anything? And I
said no. I said, I'm so disappointed about there's no
helping your soup today. And instead of going, oh, I'm sorry,
she goes, yeah, they switch it up and I just
walked away. I was like, you don't understand, and I
don't know why I hurt my feelings. It's stupid, because
(10:49):
you know what you're sick. Do you know when you're
sick and you're just like you want sympathy.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
I'm sorry, I come on her side.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
I know, I know. I don't know. I was so
sensitive yesterday because I was, you know, you feel so
crappy and you just want but you also don't want
to be in public going I'm sick, because then people
pissed at you because you're out sick. So I was
trying to be really you know, considerate. So then nothing
looked good. And then there was a kind of a
hippie guy who was checking me out. He had a
(11:15):
mask on and he said, uh, something about oh, I
said the same thing. I said, I'm really disappointed that
there there's no Valipino soup, and he goes, yes, it's
very disappointing when you can't have the soup that you want.
And I thought, yes it is, and he goes, I
always look for the tortilla soup and I said, oh,
they've got it today. He said, but I can't have
(11:36):
it right now. I'm just finishing up with an illness
and cream wouldn't be good for me. And I was like,
look at the illness are you talking about. I don't
know if we need to know that. So anyway, I
grabbed some like a sushi roll thing for later and
(11:58):
my soup. So it was a little bummed about that.
But I got home and I ate my soup. I
ate like half of it and got on the couch
and the dog same thing. She was like, oh, and
we're back to bed. She was fine with it, you know,
but she did bark a couple of times, and I
forget that. At night she's great, she sleeps all the
way through the night. But if during the day it's
(12:18):
so active and she's at the window, and so I arrested.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Here's how MAUI did not. When we were sitting on
the couch, I'm watching that show. The guy came to
the wine delivery guy. Yeah, and Maui didn't even bark,
like it was you know, the ring thing goes off right,
you know, and then she kind of looks up and
I said, oh, oh, and I look and I could
see that it was the guy delivering wine, and so
I said, hey, we're good, We're good. And she never
(12:45):
even barks. She just she walked followed me to the door.
The guy actually when he handed me the box, you know,
he was petting Maui and Malie kind of walked out. Oh,
I don't Yeah, I think he called her a boy.
How you doing, buddy or something like that.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
They always do that, how dare you so?
Speaker 4 (13:04):
But yeah, so she was she she didn't even she
wasn't in bark mode yesterday.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
You're lucky because during the day. That's the only thing
I realized is that I used to be able to nap,
like really nap during the day, but not if she
Sometimes if I closed the bedroom door and put on
the AC so she can't hear stuff, she'll settle. But
it's you know, and when she goes off, it's loud,
it's there's you know, so, but I was watching the
(13:31):
Billy Jolte. I was finishing that and it was it's
really good, very interesting. He's been through a lot. And
also just when he stopped performing and I forgot, he
went out on tour with Elton john Off and on
for seventeen years. Yes, it's crazy because he was kind
of done performing and then well he was. Then there
(13:55):
was another time where he was done performing. After he
went to rehab once and back and forth, and then
the Sandy Hook thing. When Sandy Hook happened, he did
the concert to help raise money and he hadn't performed
in years in front of people, and that gave him
the feeling that there was a new generation of people
loving his music. And then he started the Madison Square
(14:17):
Garden standing thing. And so he's kind of been in
and out of and he got married for the fourth time.
Did you but all three of his wives, All of
his wives were on there. His first wife is she's
she's cool, she's the one who managed him, she's the.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
One that he wrote just the ways.
Speaker 3 (14:37):
Yes, and she's she looks beautiful too. She aged really
well and she had great stories and she loves him.
She had a son, so there's a step son. And
then Christy Brinkley was on there and she was really sweet.
I mean she said, I have nothing but love for him,
she said, but it didn't He was on the road
and he was obsessed with work and I was alone
(14:58):
with Alexa and I was bad. So but and then
she has daughter is gorgeous.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Yeah, she's a model.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Is that what she is? I think she's maybe. No,
Sailor is her daughter. That's Christie Brinkley. No, that's yeah,
that's Christy Brinkley's daughter, separate, different person. Alexa alexis or
Alexa Alexa I think is his daughter. And she I
think she sings, she's like, I think she may do
(15:26):
Broadway stuff. She's really beautiful. But Sailor is the one
who was on Dancing with the Stars. That's her daughter
from a different man.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
She has ties to hear too.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Christy Brinkley.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
No Sailor, Oh, Sailor, there's you know, she's been here
multiple times.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
Oh well. Then they had the next wife who was
really young and she's the one who made him go
to rehab the first time. And then his current wife,
who is younger than he is, but not as much.
So anyway, I watched that and then I had to
get up because I had to take Alex to karate.
And I didn't realize this was a lot time I
will ever take him to karate? Really yes, because I
(16:04):
and I thought about it and it got really sad.
I was like, I've been doing this for eight years
every Tuesday Thursday. And what happened was he has to
move to a different class because he's moved beyond this
and the class starts at seven thirty at night, and
you know, I was talking to his mom and she said,
I know that's you know, there was talk of him
having to go to the Valley one, which I was gonna.
(16:26):
I would have gone for that as long as I
get to see him, you know, and hang out with them.
But so now I said, maybe, well I'll do sometimes
is get him from school, bring him home, you know,
hang out with him, cook him dinner, and then drop
him off. But then I said, but eight thirty is
too late for me to be waiting for karate.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
She said, oh, I know, I know the same place.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Yes. So then I said, okay, well, at least I
have one last time on Thursday. She said oh, he's
got a doctor's what mean he has to miss Thursday?
And I said, this was my last time. I didn't
know it.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Hey yet there was no prep time.
Speaker 5 (16:58):
No.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Luckily I had a proper snacks. It was a good
It was a good send off for the snacks. And
I went and got in Panda. Here was the crazy thing.
So you know, it's four o'clock when I drop them off,
and then I so I need to go all the
way north and get the panda, come back and be there.
And I needed to go stop and get a few
things at the Dollar store. So I was thinking, Okay,
(17:18):
I better, I got to make this. Well, they're so quiet,
nobody in line at Raising Caine. I mean like like
a few cars, you know, just a normal amount, and
then literally nobody in line at Panda. I was the
first one, and there's always three or four cars and
they are always super slow. So now it's four twenty
eight and I've already gone to the Dollar Store and
(17:42):
I have the panda sitting here. I'm well, this is
bad timing. So then I just have time to wait,
you know, and you're kind of hoping to catch the
red lights, because what.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Are you going to do you know take some red
lights today if I can bathe yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
For another time. So and then I had the of
course the car smells like panda, and she wanted some too,
So then afterwards. That was the other thing that was
different is I dropped him off at her work. She
works for mattress firm. Remember mattress firm. We all got
our mattresses there. So she was working at the one
on Division and Queen. So then I just dropped him
off because and he had his flute with him. He
(18:16):
had a flute. I took it out of the thing
and I was trying to I was making the noise
with it, and he just looked at me, like put
it away, so we don't need to try to do
my flute thing. But so anyway, he was going to
hang out with her and do homework and stuff. So
it's kind of an end of an era. It was
sad and I just thought and he was. He was
okay with it. I mean, he knew. His thing is
that he likes the snacks and he likes being with
(18:40):
me because he gets to be on his phone, which
once he gets home then that's going to you know,
because of homework. So I thought he'd be sadder about it,
but he seemed fine, like, well, okay, that.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
Is tough when it's like you don't know that it's
your last one until it's already happened.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
No, I didn't. I would.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
Yeah, I kind of you if you would have done
anything different, but it was like you'd kind.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Of liked to you'd at least note it, yeah, and
prepare yourself for this is the last time I'm going
to do this. So I was. I was fine until
she said the Thursday thing, and then I said, well,
I you people I've been this is my conditioning. So
now I don't know. I don't know a world where
I don't have to be somewhere at three o'clock on
(19:24):
Tuesdays and Thursdays. It's weird. And then it used to be,
you know, working women's it was eighty percent of the time.
I had a Wednesday date too. So now I think
what I'll do is incorporate the girls and do different
things and you know, have different days. Maybe I'll just
hang out with them. But it was an appointment to
get to see them, and so now I have to
(19:45):
make sure that I can still do that but free
up the time and I was like, well, I can
really get into my exercise routine or.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
More gambling or casino.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
I know that's the thing. I usually have a hard out,
which is good for me. You don't just set me
free on Tuesday Thursday, because you know. Anyway, after I
dropped him off, I had I was on the phone
for probably an hour straight, one, two three, like all
these people computer work for the thing, and finally I said,
I'm out for the night. You guys, I can't make
(20:15):
any decisions. I'm I'm well. I was talking the morning,
so and I actually had a few more minutes of
the Billy Joel thing, so I finished that, and then
I had to do my research. I'd catch up on
some Brady Bunch. So I watched a couple episodes of
Brady So Excited November. Oh my gosh, so Stacy, Stacy
is all excited, and now we're trying to I'm thinking
(20:37):
of maybe taking that Friday off and leaving Thursday after
the show. You know, as long as I'm flying down there,
might as well have a full weekend, and probably cheaper
to fly on the Thursday too. So I'm really excited
to go to the Brady Bunch thing. Thanks for everybody
who sent me the link I did. I had four
different people send me the link because they knew i'd
be so excited. My mom was so excited for me
(21:00):
like this. She said, this is the kind of thing
that just yes, Bobby, good for you, Bobby. I love
that you're doing that and with your oldest friend, and
it'll be perfect. I think I was thinking we wouldn't
rent a car, but then I thought Stacey and I
haven't been in our neighborhood. It's right where we grew up.
It's right there, and so I think that we might
want to take the old route to Sound Monica where
(21:21):
we used to go to the beach and go to
the mall where we used to work and do all
the stuff together, because we haven't done that together. She
lived there so far, so much longer than I did,
because I haven't lived there in twenty eight years, where
she just moved away, you know, in twenty twenty. She'd
been living there all the way up until then, so
(21:42):
she's very familiar with it all still. But for me,
it doesn't look the same. I go home and I'm
confused and stuff. So I got to bed pretty early.
I had a horrible nightmare that absolutely seemed so real.
It was so scary, and I was so set with
the dog because the dog wasn't barking at the bad
(22:02):
guy and she was just looking at him, and he
was in my room and I was like, dude, this
is what you're here for. He's not but there's guy's
not supposed to be here. And I was you know,
in your dream you can't scream, you can't. And I'm
trying to down nine one one and I can't and
she's just looking at the guy. I thought, oh, this
is awful. But I went right back to sleep because
(22:23):
of sleep vibe. And then I got up and hear
him and I sound worse than I feel. I think
that's what.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
We're getting a lot of people to say they're having
issues with the.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
App yesterday that was the same thing.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
What is happening?
Speaker 3 (22:39):
I don't know. Did you check to see if we
were all?
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Yeah, we're on? Yeah, I checked before.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
Oh the Anne wants to know the show about the
mafia in Canada.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
I think it was. I think it's called Mafia Wars.
Speaker 4 (22:56):
It's the new thing on Netflix and it's just it's
three parts, yeah, and it's it's very interesting. Canada's got
some major problems because they have well they don't have
what they call rico laws there. So that's how they
(23:17):
get the mafia guys. You know, it's because they're they're
so insulated. You know, they have people that do all
the things right. Well, in Canada, they don't have a
racketeering charge, so if they can't pin the crime on
the exact person, then.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
There is no crime. So these these guys have walked
for fifty years. They've been running this crime family that
has so.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Other people get arrested in stuff, but they can never
get pinned with it.
Speaker 4 (23:48):
Right, and then they just get new people and then
they you know, and in some cases the people go
to jail for eight to nine years, right, and then
they come back and then they're right back in.
Speaker 3 (24:00):
So in this thing, is it that are they being
interviewed or is it a show about them?
Speaker 2 (24:09):
Both?
Speaker 4 (24:10):
There's they don't have interviews of the real of the
two main guys, but they have former people that worked
for them, hit men, and they're all you know, they
got their voices.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
Yeah, well I talk through.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Who leave the guy.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
And I couldn't get.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
We have gangsters with a Canadian acts it just doesn't match.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Yeah, but it was. It was very interesting.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
So I was kind of and you know, I had
never heard of these this this crime family, but they're huge.
And then they would show, you know, how they will
show old clips of news coverage of it.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
So there's like Dan Rather.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Talking about it, and you know, all the different news
anchors making news in the United States because but it
was a you know, worldwide thing. They had one deal
where it's like one hundred and fifty people killed in this.
I mean, it was a major thing that just I
don't know if I wasn't paying attention to the news
at that time or whatever, but obviously a huge story
(25:21):
and it reached into you know, southern Italy is where
there's one of the crime families, but the but the
Canadian you know, there's two guys that live in Toronto and.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Now they've built at Empire.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
So I did see that and says no issues for
her for this, Shanna say is the app keeps stopping,
but boy do the ads were just fine interesting. Regina says,
I'm losing you and I'm not listening to the commercials again.
(26:01):
Oh crap, huh app oh, Michelle not gonna oh Michelle's
family has COVID hitting family hard. Oh oh yeah, I
know it sounds congestive, but it's okay.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
You're feeling fine.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
Yeah, I mean I'm not. I don't feel great, but
I feel like I'm on the other end of it.
And I'm sorry that I sound so bad. Sorry, it
sounds a bad. Are people are gonna be afraid to
be near us tonight?
Speaker 2 (26:31):
No? Fine, everything's fine, We're gonna be okay everything.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Oh yeah, we're past. Here's the tricky thing about any
sickness is that once you you know you're you're always
contagious before you even know you're sick. That's the thing.
So we're at the point where it's fine, everything is.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Fine, right, Yes, So what you're saying is that.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
We were we were alreadytagious, but now we're not because
we're sick.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Yeah, I don't know. I do know. The way COVID
worked is that that's why it was so bad and
it spread so fast, because you, before you had symptoms,
were already like you know.
Speaker 4 (27:16):
So yeah, I'm just glad that I'm I'm I'm definitely
better than I was yesterday.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
Yeah, twenty four hours ago.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
On the comeback trail. Yeah, but I was super good
to myself. I had some of those airborne things.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
I had the emergency the you know, the vitamin C
packet things.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Yeah, and all my leftover cold drugs. Modern medicine last night.
Modern medicine is amazing because you know, and for me,
when you don't take anything for anything.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
It works. Really.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
When you do take something, it's like, oh my gosh,
this stuff really works. There's a reason why this company
makes millions of dollars with this product.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Yeah, if it makes you feel better.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Well, I was at Huckleberrys and I was looking for
a pain reliever and it's so funny because it's all
that's all homeopathic stuff. You're not going to find any
regular thing. But I just looked at it and it
was like beads that you have to put under your tongue,
and it was this, and it was that, and I thought, no,
I'm going to the real drug store. I'm going to
buy real drugs. That's crap that I put in my body.
(28:24):
And now I'm going to draw the line here and go,
oh no, I'm not gonna use Nike will no. No,
he was a homeopathic you know, delicious little droplets of things.
So I probably should have taken some drugs, but I
slept fine. The only reason I would ever take it
is if it was going to keep me awake, and
I slept just fines. I didn't take any of the stuff, and.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
The sleep is the that's the number one thing that
can help you. Oh my gosh, let your body recover. Yes, yes,
everything's fine. Oh yeah, all right, welcome to Midweek Wednesday.
It's our It's day one of year two of our program.
Speaker 3 (29:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yeah, yeah, we'll.
Speaker 4 (29:02):
Have a showdown coming up a little bit later on
in the show and then fun facts.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Last week we did it on Thursday with Ken being here.
But this time it's back to its normal normal.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Starts rightful, rightful place.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Did you know that today is National Punctuation Day? Yeah?
People need to know, and we're the ones to tell them.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Excellent. Is it punctuation? Like the punctuation marks?
Speaker 2 (29:27):
How do you use, how you use them?
Speaker 4 (29:28):
And which ones we're not using anymore and all that,
And then I have such a disagreement with this, but
we will present to you the best and worst airports, oh.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
In the country. This is a JD.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Powers Traveler's guide, right, and the first thing that I
looked for on the worst was Seattle, and it's not
on there.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
Therefore, I believe this is flawedless.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
They've never been to Seattle.
Speaker 2 (29:57):
Maybe that's it.
Speaker 3 (29:58):
Maybe that's it. They sing it.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
There's a lot of.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
Good things about Seattle, but their airport is not one
of Them's everybody, everybody that I've ever talked to it
all agrees that's a terrible airport.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Yeah. So yeah, we'll get to those another stories. It's
go time, everybody.
Speaker 4 (30:15):

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Let's check on some news items. Today's National Punctuation Day.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
Okay, ever been a better time to send a text
with full complete punctuation?
Speaker 3 (31:38):
Dot dot dot?
Speaker 2 (31:39):
What is it?
Speaker 3 (31:39):
Dot dot dot? What is that?
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Just give you space?
Speaker 3 (31:43):
No, I know, but those are just periods, period period, period, dot.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Dot dot ellipses. That's what I think.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Is that what they are?
Speaker 6 (31:52):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (31:52):
Okay, so just let's address this. People are having trouble
with the app. A lot of people are having trouble
with the app. It's just commercials and stuff. But what
I'm curious about people who say it's just fine. What
what's your carrier? Because I have a feeling it could
be some people are saying it's fine, and other people
are saying they're just getting kicked off.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
Oh there's a new person. Yeah, the app is not
working after commercial.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Yeah, Jesse can hear us? Yeah, I don't know so far,
the app is working for me. That's from Michelle number
fifty six. So I'm sorry. We're working on it. We
sent we sent an email to it after Dave was
(32:42):
able to determine what it was I was looking for
when I kept asking who are the people you send
things to when you're having trouble with your computer?
Speaker 2 (32:49):
And I said, customer service, No, it's not that is
tech support, TX support, No, it's not that it yes.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Finally I said, who's the guy that comes in and
says move when you have a problem with your computer?
And then you said, oh it.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Yeah, and that was it. That was your magic that
was my magic thing. Sorry people, anyway, we're yeah, they
have the top people are working on it, and I
know there's some frustration.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yes, I'm sorry, especially the day after our anniversary.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
Yeah. Do you use periods when you send text messages?
Speaker 3 (33:27):
Yes? Mostly I do.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
Yeah, most people do. But it's a shrinking number. Used
to be up in the seventies. Now it's only like
sixty percent run on sent Yeah, just that's what it is.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
If it's voiced. If it's voice to text, sometimes it'll
be a run on and if I'm just in a hurry,
it'll just.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
Right the rest of the breakdown. Fifty five percent of
people very often use commas, rarely do.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Question marks.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Twenty one percent of people rarely use question marks. I think,
I think you have to use a question mark that
just to you know, to give it, you know what it.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Means, you got to use that. What about exclamation points yet?
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Well, yes, oh, I love exclamation.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Yeah, and I don't think you I never just use one.
If you're going to use one.
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Use two?
Speaker 3 (34:26):
Why not use three?
Speaker 4 (34:28):
And I think that is great exclamation point exclamation point
exclamation point perfect.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
One doesn't do the trick. No.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
And the thing is is that it's so that's so
long to say. It would be much easier just to
go boom boom boom, But if you're voice texting, you
can't do that, so you have to say the whole thing.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
Parentheses Thirty nine percent of people rarely use parentheses. I
don't know how you can you do that through voice text?
Speaker 3 (34:57):
You mean, like, well, uh, parentheses, I don't know what
what is the what is it? If you so it's
like if you said, uh, I know you're all coming today,
and then there you say, Mary, I know you said
you'd be late. If it's in those things, if you
want to just put a note, what would you say
on either side of that? I don't know what are
(35:20):
those called?
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Well? Parentheses?
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Well I know, but do you say?
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Try? Yeah? Try?
Speaker 4 (35:28):
I've never I've never. I mean, I voiced text almost all.
That's all of my texting is a voice. I've never
used the parentheses.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Okay, okay, ready, Hey Dave, I know we're going to
see you tonight. Parentheses. I know one of the people
is going to be late. No, it just spelled it out.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
Oh see, No.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
It doesn't work. Maybe there's another word for it that
we don't know.
Speaker 2 (35:59):
What about dashes? Do you use dashes?
Speaker 3 (36:03):
No?
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Probably enough of people don't use dashes.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
Colons more than half don't use them, and semi colons
almost sixty percent never use them.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Well, isn't that a colon? Like the thing that goes
around the person?
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Is that a no colon? Is the two dots?
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Oh of course yeah, and then a semi colon? I
got okay, and then you got that, and then the
then there's the other one. That has the weird little
bracket thing. Yeah, those are fun.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
I think that's just called brackets.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Really if it's not parentheses parentheses are you know that's.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
The nine and the zero on here the night the parentheses, yes, yep,
right on the keyboard. And then the bracket. That is
a fun little thing, that bracket.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
Oh, Marci on the text line, she's despised. She despises
when people send multiple question marks.
Speaker 3 (36:57):
Oh, one is enough? Add punctuation. You could add punctuation points.
Just googled. I was having trouble. Just googled David Molly
KGQ and it came up that way work. You find
this way, not through the app. Okay, Devin says, now
(37:19):
it's working for me. David, all right, good, okay.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
Being close to being.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
Solved to add parentheses using voice to text say open parentheses. Oh,
and to add opening parentheses and clothes to add clothes
for example, if you say, okay, oh my gosh, that's
a lot.
Speaker 4 (37:43):
But I learned something and I don't use that very often,
but if i'll try, I'll try to remember when I
do do it. The number one type of writing Americans
do is text messages. That's the number one email is
a distant second, followed by work documents, then journal entries,
non fiction essays, and poetry or songs.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Poetry or song that's a very small group.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
Yeah, well I do mostly I guess email between email,
and it depends what's going on in the world. If
I'm working on projects, then it's a lot of emails.
If not, in my daily it's usually texts.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
That keeps us, keeps us writing.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Yeah, if you can call us that.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
What is something that's actually healthy despite most people thinking
thinking that it.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Is not wine, alcohol, cigarette?
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Well, boy, that was a quick response with.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
What else not working out?
Speaker 2 (38:46):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (38:46):
The number one is what daydreaming? Daydreaming is healthy, believe
it or not. Sure it can be a form of
focusing and meditation. Frozen vegetables, This is a lot of
people get a changer. Yeah, because you know the knock
on frozen vegetables always say, oh, well you lose all
(39:07):
the nutrients, blah.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Blah blah, wrong, wrong, wrong, Okay.
Speaker 4 (39:12):
A lot of vegetables are frozen within hours of being picked,
and that locks in their nutrients.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
Well, very good, and I think I could make an
argument for that there's less waste because it's sometimes you
buy vegetables with the intention of making them, and then
if you're sitting there, I have an egg plant, lost
an egg plant, you guys, I had the eggplant. I
bought it with every intention of making it, and I didn't.
(39:38):
And now it's sad. It's just sitting there in my
vegetable air. It is just sad. And we used to
have I used to take all the food over to
my son's chickens. So that made me feel better because
if I didn't get to something, it was at least
it's going to be they'll eat it. And now the
chickens are elsewhere. They were rehomed. Nobody was harmed in
the rehoming.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
But do you but one was lost.
Speaker 3 (40:01):
Well, that was early on. It was an early kill.
I'm surprised once a dog or something does something like that.
Usually they're going back for more. But didn't. Oh learned
it's less than I guess.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
I thought it was a raccoon that got the chicken.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
I think it was one of his dogs.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Thought it.
Speaker 3 (40:20):
Yeah, the raccoon's got all the kin's chickens and they're me.
They just take the heads off and then leave it.
They eat just a little part of their head. They
just like the brains, Dave, that's all they want. And
then they don't even it's a waste of chicken. And
if you knew ahead of time, you'd say, okay, listen, raccoon,
you got to read on the chicken. Can wetly share
the chicken? You do your thing and then let me
(40:41):
know and then we can you know, the rest of
it will get used. Meaning I think you know what
I mean.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
No, I don't want to hear anymore about it.
Speaker 4 (40:51):
Other things that are actually healthy despite people thinking that
they're not. Msg Oh, it's basically salt, a natural flavor
that's okay, salt and fat and sugar, especially when you're
cooking at home where you can control it and you
know that you aren't being slammed with hidden amounts.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
Yeah, I don't get enough sodium in my diet. I
had my cardiologist literally said you need more salt in
your diet because I was getting faint.
Speaker 4 (41:21):
Well, you know what it is that because you are
like me, we have low blood pressure. We're very lucky,
so that is one thing that we don't have to
worry about.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
But what was happening is when I was driving, I
was getting light headed, and he said it's because you're
sitting and your blood isn't flowing fast enough. But he
said also, he said, I don't usually say this to people.
You probably need a little sodium. So to have a
bag of popcorn or something in the car, you know
the smart pop that has some sodium in it. It's
a good thing.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
My doctor says, I'm not getting enough tar.
Speaker 3 (41:53):
Oh well, maybe go back and get some more, getting
cigarette icnd BARL.
Speaker 2 (41:57):
You just eat one.
Speaker 4 (42:01):
Eggs and anyone that says eggs are not good for you,
then they're not. They're not very smart because the you know,
the knock on eggs is the cholesterol, but the that's
not as bad as it's made out to be.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
There are way worse things, and the the the eggs
will give you so much more protein that you wouldn't
need the other things that do have more cholesterol. Right,
So that's that's one of the things that they say.
Speaker 4 (42:31):
People act like eating eggs is a daily cholesterol bomb,
but they're super nutrient dense.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
Yes, we had people say the most perfect food.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
When we were camping, this couple was loading up and
they handed can some eggs that they were left. But
they were home. You could tell they were from chickens
that they knew. And so I made a couple of
eggs and I didn't have any butter, so I did
olive oil in the pan. They were delicious. And that
fresh egg when you get that yolk just perfect. Yeah,
(43:03):
it was good.
Speaker 4 (43:04):
And potatoes potatoes another one. They get a bad rap
because they're usually prepared with a lot of oil and butter,
fried or processed into chips. But if you roast, bake,
air fry, or boil them, they're quite possibly the healthiest
starchy carb you can eat.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Well, how about about that for the potato potato no.
Speaker 2 (43:30):
Relation, Dave potato.
Speaker 4 (43:35):
Popcorn? You reference popcorn? Yeah, popcorn is good, has a
lot of benefits.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
A lot of fiber, except you can't eat it right
now because your tooth.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Yeah, you know, it's off the board for me for
a while.
Speaker 4 (43:47):
And then we get into some other things that are
not food related. Listen to this one arguing in relationships.
Oh now, not arguing constantly, that would be bad, of course,
but some arguing healthy. If you hold everything in, it
breeds resentment and that is the death of every relationship.
Speaker 2 (44:07):
So it says, right here, let it out these people
know playing video games.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
We learned that earlier. Playing video games not so bad.
It can be a problem like any other fun thing.
But for a lot of people it's a great outlet
casino gaming.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
But it does not say that.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
But I'm thinking of that. That's that's an outlet. Sure
it might be a bit more expensive.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
Or the other, or somebody pays you a lot of
money to sit there. Sometimes that happens and you just have.
Speaker 4 (44:36):
To think about all the you know, when you hit
the big one, it's like, well that that is the
recovery for all those other sessions. I think I'm doing. Okay,
what's the other one? Sleeping? Oh, sleeping according to your
body's needs, not according to societal norms.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
Right, yeah, I do. I know they recommend a certain
amount of sleep, but I do think certain people operate.
I operate better at like six hours, you know, than
I would constantly getting eight. And I know a lot
of people who would never be able to operate that way.
I've just always been able to operate with less sleep.
(45:20):
Just I don't. I mean, I even if I tried
to sleep in, I can't. Although over the weekend it
probably it was getting eight hours that's about max for me.
I just I just don't. I don't, I can't. You
slept ten hours over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
In most of ten hours, nine hours and forty minutes,
and I did that once the last back to back weekends.
I had one day in there where it was the
long long sleep. It's pretty crazy. Well, you got to
get you back to good, yes, all right? So here
we have This is from JD Power their Tracks Report.
(46:03):
It's their annual Airport Satisfaction survey, shows overall scores for
various airports across the country. They break these down into
what they call the mega airports and the large airports
and the medium airports. Okay, okay, So among the mega airports.
Speaker 3 (46:24):
Did you say Jesse, United States or do you say
the world?
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Just the United States?
Speaker 3 (46:29):
Of the mega and it's the best, the best, that's
the most efficient, YEP is Minneapolis on there.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
That is number one. Very good.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
Ok Yeah, I think that's a pretty good. It's big.
Speaker 2 (46:44):
Because there's always they're well not always, there can be
some weather issues there, but the airport itself I think
is pretty good. Yea. So that is their number one.
Number two is Detroit.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
I've never been through.
Speaker 2 (46:58):
And the Detroit Airport, I think is great.
Speaker 3 (47:00):
I need to make a trip to Detroit to see Millians.
Yeah you do, I should go see him Roar in person.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (47:08):
My experience is, of course, it's very short because it's
just flying into the airport then driving to ann Arbor,
which is twenty minutes away, which is crazy to me
that it's not close. Yeah, but yeah, the airport very efficient.
Everybody's incredibly friendly. And I think I told the story
the one of the times I went there. They could
(47:29):
have they could have screwed me over big time because
I was trying to get trying to get an uber
to get to the hotel.
Speaker 3 (47:38):
Oh right, and the.
Speaker 4 (47:39):
Guy, the taxi guy who could have made money from me. Yeah,
because oh that's why I couldn't get an uber, so
I had to get taxi. And he says, you know what,
there is a free shuttle right down I just just
want you to know.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
You just go down there.
Speaker 4 (47:51):
They'll give you a free shuttle and I'll save you, you know,
forty five bucks because that's the minimum I have to charge.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
And I said, well, that is very nice, thank you.
And then I went down there. The one shuttle guy
that I was supposed to get a ride from he
wasn't there, and there was another guy. We was so
slow and from a different hotel, and he says, I'll
just run you over there.
Speaker 2 (48:11):
That's no problem. Oh well, that's very great. So thank you. Detroit.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
Detroitians are nice?
Speaker 2 (48:17):
Is that what they are? I don't know.
Speaker 4 (48:20):
So Minneapolis, Detroit, And the next one Phoenix, Phoenix, that's.
Speaker 3 (48:25):
A mega Phoenix. That's a mega airport.
Speaker 2 (48:27):
Now it has become that.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
That's insane.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
Yeah, the growth in that area is off the chart.
Speaker 3 (48:33):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (48:35):
Then Dallas, Yes, and then another one I would agree
with the Vegas Airport.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
Vegas Airport's a good airport.
Speaker 2 (48:41):
It's a great airport. Yeah, very very efficient. So those
are those are the top five for what they call
the mega airports.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
I know one it might be under the small category
and I don't the San Jose Airport is fantastic, that
might be under small.
Speaker 2 (48:58):
Well, they only go to medium here, so they go
Omega large and then medium.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
How about Salt Lake City? They just rebuilt that. It's
one long strip and I don't know how efficient it
is now.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
They don't have that one on here.
Speaker 3 (49:13):
What's medium though? What is like midway considered a medium.
Speaker 2 (49:18):
No, that would be that would.
Speaker 3 (49:19):
Be the Omega.
Speaker 4 (49:20):
Yeah. Okay, So the rest of the top ten run
through JFK, Orlando, Miami, San Francisco, and Boston. Then that
the bottom, the very bottom Newark and Toronto Pearson International,
which is the only.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
Hey, I will say this, Yes, maybe the airport itself
is trash, but I promise you, if you're going to
New York, you are better off going to Newark and
taking the train in because JFK is an hour at
least an hour in a taxi and the train is
not as a fish, it's just and it's just and
(50:02):
a lot of commuters. You go right to Grand Central Station.
And so if I was flying into New York, I
would fly into Newark. So I mean, if I was
going there, yeah, unless you're going to the TWA hotel.
But JFK is just too far away from everything.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
Now, among the large airports, the best ones the John
Wayne Airport, that's Orange County, California, Tampa, Dallas love Field,
which is a big that's the one of the big
Southwest Yeah spots, Kansas City International, and Raleigh Durham. Okay,
(50:40):
then they say the worst in those categories Philadelphia or
in that at that you know size, and then for
the medium airports, the best Indianapolis, then Ontario International Airport.
In Southern California, yeah, Buffalo, Okay, Jacksonville, and Palm Beach.
(51:03):
They say the worst in the medium size is the
Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
Speaker 3 (51:08):
Oh. I wonder if Ken is going to be upset
about that because they.
Speaker 2 (51:11):
Put his name on it. I don't know why. I
don't know what category Seattle would fit into, at least
the large, but the fact that they don't say that
that's one of the worst. I questioned some of that.
I think they got the best one right though.
Speaker 4 (51:26):
I think I think Vegas, Phoenix, Minneapolis, those are all
I would put Denver in that category.
Speaker 2 (51:34):
The only problem with Denver is you're out in the
middle of nowhere. So yeah, the uber.
Speaker 4 (51:40):
Ride or a shuttle or whatever is forty five minutes, but.
Speaker 2 (51:44):
The airport itself is actually pretty good.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
Portland looks better now they've upgraded it. It's a stupid,
stupid airport. Whoever designed Portland Airport is needs to go
back to design school. It's stupid. Here's here's the thing.
If you have to fly and connect the San Jose
is the best. And here's why. It is a small
airport and it's really easy changing gates. The weather's not
(52:07):
such an issue because it's a little more inland sou
You go San Francisco and you're going to get fog.
And it's a really nice airport with really nice food
and everything. Palm Springs has a nice airport. But here's
the thing. They were where we were. They are overrun
and they cannot feed people. They cannot. I don't know
what parking's like there because I've never had a park,
(52:28):
but if you're going through Palm Springs, don't plan on
getting a meal there at all. I mean we went
one day, it was eleven o'clock. We wanted to get
a sandwich. They said it was a forty five minute
wait for a sandwich. They don't have enough food. They
have those vending machines where you can just get a
sandwich out of a vending machine. But there they have
like two restaurants, I think. But it's just overrun. And
(52:49):
I mean it's pretty, it's all outside, it's very pretty,
but it's not it's not efficient. So and I don't
mind the Oakland Airport to fly through Oakland. Yeah, it's easy.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
That's usually the one I end up at when I'm
going to Hawaii. That's usually the stop. And it's fine.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
I'm going to plan my trip down to Burbank and
I'm going to try to go through. I'm going to
try to go through the Santas Airport, just because I
turned my mom onto that, because she worries about changing planes,
and I said that, let me just set you up
this time going through there, and you'll see it's you're
off one, you're down two gates. There's a nice place
to have coffee. It's the easiest, and it's pretty there too.
(53:30):
So well, I think our Spokane airport I'll put out
against any airport in the country.
Speaker 2 (53:35):
I think our airport. Who was I talking to about this?
Speaker 4 (53:39):
Our airport is very similar to the Vegas situation because
Vegas was able to have an airport and knew there
was going to be growth, so they the growth was
played out very well and they handled it well. Obviously
on a much bigger scale. The problem with Seattle is
(54:01):
I just think that they I don't know if it
got too big too fast, where it's just all these
additions to things. Yeah, and it's terribly inefficient.
Speaker 3 (54:10):
Well, the one thing this is the most oppressing thing
when you get there and you go to eGate this
and this, and you see a bus parked out there,
like there's not even a plane here. I am under
the airport now, and there's a big, ugly bus that
we're all going to get on. Then we're going to
all go outside. It's pouring down rain, and we're gonna
go get on an airplane walking up the stairs.
Speaker 4 (54:34):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know what the I don't know
anything about airport renovation or anything, but it just seems
like over the last few decades, not yours, but decades,
they've missed opportunities to like, okay, we need to have
a whole new thing here to make it more fit.
It looks like it's just a series of additions that
have been added on, and it's clunky, and it's.
Speaker 3 (54:57):
Been under a construction forever. There's always a big area
that's now. I will say that the main I think
it's the a concourse or c that one big room
that is gorgeous and that I would put up against
any airport as far as just a big you know,
the room with all the windows ceiling to floor. They
have really nice shops there. Have you ever been in there?
(55:19):
And they're rocking chairs and you can sit and watch
the planes take off. That is beautiful. But if you're
not anywhere near that concourse, you're just like you you
you know, it's terrible that that is nice if you
have a long layover. But what are the people saying?
Speaker 2 (55:38):
Oh, oh, they put Atlanta. It's a good one. Okay,
It's been a while since I've been to the Atlanta airport, but.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
We were there. The only problem with that is that
you're just taxing forever. Dang it. People are having problems
with a yet got our best people on it.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
All right, we'll take a break. We'll get to the
entertainment news here in just a bit. Oh, Jimmy Kimmel
was back.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
Yeah, I'm I hout that workout?
Speaker 2 (56:14):
Well? He started crying again.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
He started crying.
Speaker 2 (56:17):
Yeah, he breaks down a lot.
Speaker 4 (56:19):
He but he was back, and I didn't hear about
any guests, So I don't know if he just did.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
I don't know how that worked. But the you know,
we have parts of the monologue that we were so,
so we'll get to that. We'll also have fun facts
and the showdown. If you want to play the trivia
competition that is scheduled for right around eight o'clock or so.
Speaker 4 (56:42):
So we'll look forward to all that and more. Don't
forget about the big event tonight. Yeah, Mary Hill Winery
is the place. Five o'clock is the time. It's the
Dave and Molly one year anniversary celebration.
Speaker 3 (56:52):
Yeah, five to seven ish, four thirty to seven thirty ish.
You know, we stay on either side, but we'll be
in the VIP room again where we were for the
firing party. We're gonna have some prizes to give away,
and so just combine, see us, have a glass of
wine and we'll have some appetizers out for everybody.
Speaker 2 (57:10):
Is Ken bringing the magic crackers?
Speaker 3 (57:12):
Uh? Ken? Are you bringing the magic crackers? Let's see.
Speaker 2 (57:17):
Maybe we don't call them magic crackers. We call them, Yeah,
there's special crackers. That's okay, just.
Speaker 3 (57:24):
Now making up. I haven't even turned on the show.
How do you feel, well, he hasn't even turned on
the show. How do you like that? I'm gonna say it.
Watch this.
Speaker 2 (57:35):
The first hour was the best thing.
Speaker 3 (57:36):
Yeah, I can't believe you missed the first hour of
the show. It's the best hour we've ever done. And
you will not even believe who our special guest was.
Oh my god, you have to go back and listen
to it.
Speaker 2 (57:55):
Well he just heard that.
Speaker 3 (57:57):
I don't think so. I don't think he's doing it.
He should be on my Facebook. All right, it's the
little Things entertainer.
Speaker 2 (58:10):
All right, we'll get to all that o more.
Speaker 4 (58:11):

Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
That sounds a little porn like, just just it a
little bit. I was gonna say I like it, but
it does sound like, ooh, what are David and Molly
doing that they're swinging? Friends are coming on by. It's
entertainingly say entertainment news. Yes we did.
Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Here's the news and here's the entertainment.
Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
Anyway, it's all for for for year two. We're on
the way.
Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
I love it. And yes, my boyfriend is very sweet.
He's been working very hard making all the little things
that all those archives and stuff that entertain you during
the all we are doing ran things. That's very nice.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
Now some Born music, So.
Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
The Jimmy Kimmel he's back, Well, he's back on some places.
Speaker 3 (01:01:15):
Right, but there's like twenty percent of I know it's
the Sinclair group and there's another group that aren't putting
him back in.
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
Right, I think net Star Star, Next Star Yeah, one
of those.
Speaker 4 (01:01:27):
Yeah, yeah, but who was not on in Seattle?
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
Oh? Is that right? Was he on here?
Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
I wonder if our local ABC affiliate did it. They
make pretty bad choices, so well, who knows what's better?
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Not very smart over there.
Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
But I don't know what they but but but he
know ABC, you know brown back from the suspension, whatever whatever.
But yesterday was the first show back. Some people saw it,
some people didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
Right, we will.
Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
Present to you now this was This was towards the
very beginning, and he got emotional talking about how he's back.
These are his opening comments from last night.
Speaker 9 (01:02:11):
I've been hearing a lot about what I need to
say and do tonight, and the truth is, I don't
think what I have to say is going to make
much of a difference. If you like me, you like me.
If you don't, you don't. I have no illusions about
changing anyone's mind. But I do want to make something
clear because it's important to me as a human, and
that is you understand that it was never my intention
to make light of the murder of a young man.
(01:02:33):
I don't think there's anything funny about it. I posted
a message on Instagram and the daves killed, sending love
to his family and asking for compassion, and I meant it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
I still do.
Speaker 9 (01:02:44):
Nor was it my intention to blame any specific group
for the actions of what it was obviously a deeply
disturbed individual. I don't think the murderer who shot Charlie
Kirk represents anyone. This was a sick person who believed
violence was solution and it isn't.
Speaker 3 (01:03:01):
Ever, he's very emotional. I just think, you know, somebody
was saying, you know, free speech, yes, but appropriate speech.
Just because you have free speech doesn't mean you should
always exercise your you know, things are appropriate. Timing is important,
all of that stuff. And you go to how if
(01:03:23):
you look at his what he said and his way
he presented it compared to now, it's quite a difference.
It's like, well, would you have had you not been suspended,
if you had just been going on, would you have
been that way? No, you would have just kept on that.
So I think it's good for all of us to
check in. Yeah, we do have free speech, but that
(01:03:44):
doesn't mean you always should have to say stuff like
just don't well, and it was.
Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
That whole thing was how do I say this in
the right way? But that.
Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
It started organically, you know he made his comments. Ye, well,
then it was a group of stations and these stations
are still you know, not with him. They they go
to ABC because they have large chunks of ABC affiliates, right,
and they say, hey, this we're you know, we're upset
by this. We're we're pulling off. Also had to do
(01:04:19):
with the ratings decline and all that. So then ABC says, well,
geez all, these station owners are pissed and so we've
got to do that.
Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
So then they suspend them.
Speaker 4 (01:04:31):
So that was you know, then it gets all blown
up into oh, they're trying to stop a person from
saying what they.
Speaker 3 (01:04:37):
Want to say.
Speaker 4 (01:04:37):
No, it all it's it began with ownership of stations,
which it's their right to do.
Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
They own the stations.
Speaker 4 (01:04:46):
And if they say, hey this this really bothered us,
and we're gonna send a message, we're gonna do what
we do. Right, he can still do what he wants
to do. And it wasn't like even if he never
came back to the show. H No one is silencing
his speech. He has fifteen hundred platforms to say whatever
he wants. So it's kind of the you know, but
(01:05:09):
it was it was good with that he you know
that he's back and he could say what he wants
and maybe a.
Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
Kinder gentler, kinder gentler.
Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
I think that that probably his approach to certain things
was what was hurting his ratings in the first place.
So because I think, you know, I think he's he
has good guess and he can be funny and stuff,
but I don't you don't want that from him. I
think that's the thing. It's like, you can have political
views and everything, certainly, but I don't think that's where
(01:05:40):
people were going to get that. So when you go
to Kimmel, you're going there to laugh and then you're
getting this and it didn't mix. And that's probably why.
Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
Well, and the interesting thing was that he and this
is all you know, document, this is true stuff, real data,
he had lost seventy five seventy two percent be accurate,
seventy two percent of the twenty five to fifty four audience.
Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
Oh my god, I mean that's I mean, no one
in media survives that.
Speaker 4 (01:06:11):
Yeah, And it wasn't It wasn't his comments that you know,
this has been over time, right, you know, where you're
losing that younger group of people. So something wasn't happening.
This may be you know, more people probably watched last night.
(01:06:31):
I don't have any ratings numbers from last night's show.
But I'm sure that it did very well.
Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
Yeah, because a lot of a lot of a lot
of hype about it so well.
Speaker 3 (01:06:42):
And I think a show like the Kobert Report, he
can be more of that because you're expecting it when
you get there. I think he's more clever about it,
and he's more thoughtful, and he's just smarter human. He
just knows more, I think in general. Right, that's the general.
And or if you're Jon Stewart, you know you're getting
into when you go to John Stewart, but that's why
(01:07:02):
you go there. I think Jimmy Kimmel is dabbling where
he didn't belong. I just think that's it. And and
you know a lot of people don't share his opinions.
Speaker 2 (01:07:12):
So yeah, it's a shrinking world. Yeah, that's the other thing.
If you if you.
Speaker 4 (01:07:18):
Have where demographics are important for you know, viewership, listenership,
that the world that we live in, if you are
on that steady steep decline where it's spent over time,
but oh Jesus, really going down, and then you're only
there's only a certain group of people that you can
(01:07:39):
even try to get because you know, you really kind
of put yourself in a box.
Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
Shrink your pot, Shrink your pot.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:07:48):
Well, anyway he did have this was kind of interesting.
He was talking about all the people that he had
heard from. Uh you know, it was only the days
that he was suspended. Yeah, and he talked talk about
you know, because he's an old radio guy.
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Right, so right there we go.
Speaker 9 (01:08:04):
I mean, I've heard from a lot of people over
the last six days. The guy who fired me from
my first radio job in Seattle where we are not
airing tonight by the way, Arlotte, Seattle. His name is Larry.
In nineteen eighty nine, Larry tried to force me to
do a bit called Jokes for Donuts, where people would
call in with a joke and I would give them donuts.
(01:08:24):
I refused to do it, and then I made a
lot of fun with Larry for suggesting it, and eventually
Larry fired me and I had to move back in
with my parents.
Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
But even he wrote in.
Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
That sounds about right. That's pretty funny. Where did he
do radio? Was he in lah Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
He was a start in Seattle and that he I
think he was in Vegas for a while. Oh.
Speaker 3 (01:08:48):
Then they did the Man's show, right, that was the
man's show with what was his sidekick guy because that
guy and he was a radio guy.
Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
Yeah, they're both radio guys.
Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
And then and then Jimmy Kimmel was this is our
connection to it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:09:01):
He he was the host of When Ben Stein's Money,
that's right.
Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
And so.
Speaker 4 (01:09:09):
Our you know, our version of that was a direct ripoff, right,
clearly admit that's what we Yeah, we came in with.
I thought, oh, that's a funny idea. Yeah, And so
I came in one morning with money in my pocket.
And then that's when Ken and I started that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:24):
That's when we used to have money in your pocket.
Those were good.
Speaker 4 (01:09:26):
Times, yeah, right, And I think the first couple of
weeks we did it, it was all kinds of it
was like, you know, twenty seven dollars or oh it's
a it's a bad day, only two dollars and eighty
five cents, and then then we worked our way into
you know, like a set amount each time. But it
(01:09:47):
was When Ben Stein's Money that was the bit, right.
And Jimmy Kimmel was.
Speaker 3 (01:09:53):
The host of the post.
Speaker 2 (01:09:54):
Yeah, and he.
Speaker 4 (01:09:55):
Had he had some deal with Comedy Central at that time. Yeah,
And then that than the Man Show, right thing, and
the Man Show, you know, was a man show.
Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
Girls jumping on trampoline.
Speaker 4 (01:10:07):
That was one of their daily bits they would do that.
They would have all kinds of different bits, but the
one constant was at the end of the show they
would have women jumping on trampolines.
Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
Yes, women in skirts usually so it'd be Catholic schoolish
skirts with a little crop top and then slow motion
jumping on trampolines. That's what they came up with. And
then and then he got his So yeah, I mean
he made a weird rise to having a late night show. Yeah, really,
(01:10:41):
I don't. I can't say honestly that I've really seen
his show very often. I used to watch Fallen all
the time.
Speaker 4 (01:10:49):
But Jimmy Fallon had a funny line last night. He
came out and said, Hey, for those of you are
just tuning in and you know, thinking, oh, he's back
from suspension again, I'm the other Jimmy Okay, not the
one that everybody's talking about. Yeah, I like I like
Fallon too, but the Kimmel I there were a couple
(01:11:14):
of episodes where, you know, he would always do the
bit about Gonzaga remember he's had the thing where Gonzaga
doesn't exist. It's not a real school that you know.
It was trying to get some publicity for that. So
I remember recording that to see that whole bit play out.
Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
Yeah, Brian Dee says that he was on here, they
had him on. He watched it his money in Spokane. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes,
Oh that actually doesn't see that one does Oh Shelly.
Speaker 2 (01:11:54):
Let's see what she says. Uh. I had watched The
Man Show with my husband regularly put up oh oh.
Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Oh the COVID thing was when it was done with him?
What is that? What was the COVID thing? What do
you do about COVID?
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
I don't know. Anyway, Hey, here's something, here's a show
that's coming back. You ready for this? Baywatch coming back?
What yep?
Speaker 3 (01:12:25):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (01:12:25):
Coming back in a very big way.
Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (01:12:28):
Fox announced yesterday that it will have a new version
of bay Watch.
Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:12:34):
It will premiere in the twenty six twenty seven season,
so basically a year from now. They're promising to quote
bring the California Dream to a whole new generation of
fans with fresh stories, rising stars, and all the spectacle
that will make the Baywatch franchise a global sensation.
Speaker 3 (01:12:57):
Now once again, Hey, here's my thought. You get Pam
Anderson on there to be the chief person. Don't put
her bathing suit, but she's like in charge of the crew. Right,
Hasslehofs around too. You could they could both be back.
Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
Bring back the Hoff.
Speaker 3 (01:13:12):
Yeah, bring back the Hof. Here's what I'm looking forward
to because I used to watch Baywatch sometimes. I liked it.
I love when they were underwater. Now, and to think
about the scenario, You're in the Pacific Ocean and it's
exactly where we went all the time to go bookiey boarding.
You are underwater, you've got your eyes open with no goggles,
(01:13:36):
and you can clearly see your victims. No, that's not happening.
You can't open your eyes in salt water and see things.
Speaker 4 (01:13:46):
It burns and it's probably murky, but.
Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
So nobody ever and and and it would be on
top of the water waves crashing, and underneath just complete
tranquil You could almost see like the aquarium style plants
that they had put in the sand, and it was
always super light where you could see. And obviously if
you go down deeper, So that part they need to fix.
(01:14:14):
Give them some I know they didn't like the look
of goggles, but I think it would have added something
to the reality of it if on their way running
they put on some goggles of some sort. Because I
wasn't buying it, and of course as a kid yet
to try it. Oh well, you can see under one
ouch ouch, you can't.
Speaker 4 (01:14:34):
Well see how this goes. I mean, that is a thing.
It is locked in and ready to go for next season.
The original Baywatch, an NBC show from nineteen eighty nine,
ran for one season there then it moved into syndication
for ten years. In pretty successful syndication. David Hasselhoff also
start in a two season spin off called Baywatch Nights.
Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Do you remember that show? Kind of yeah, something I guess.
Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
Paul just reminded us that Survivor starts tonight. Oh my god.
You know why I completely forgot because Ken was supposed
to work and he made a trade. I mean, we've
been looking at the date for a long time, so
I knew I wasn't going to get to watch it
the first night. Now I do because he made a trade.
So after we do our party tonight, we get to
watch Survivor. Boo, this is the best day. Ever. Yeah,
(01:15:26):
Well that's fun. I'm excited for you, Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
But when you get home, you're all tanked up.
Speaker 3 (01:15:32):
How you're going to be I'm not going to be
that tanked up. I'm not getting tanked.
Speaker 2 (01:15:36):
I mean limited tanking tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
I mean I'm not going to drive there because I
don't do that anyway I would know, but I am
not limited tanking. I can't afford a big tank.
Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
I can't come on, how about three glasses? Three? Come on?
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
I don't know what's going to happen. I think I'm
going to get some of that Rosan wine. It's a
white wine that I really like. I'm going to get
some of that, and then I'll see how I feel.
I might even do because you get the free glass
when you're a member. Might just start with that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:08):
Membership has his privileges.
Speaker 3 (01:16:09):
Yeah, and then Ken and I are both members, so
we each get our first glass free, and then I'll
buy a bottle of something for the people.
Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
But I don't know, and the people you mean me?
Speaker 3 (01:16:18):
I mean you, he would you like to come early
and just have a burger and get it out of
the way.
Speaker 4 (01:16:26):
Before I still have some someone I'll probably eat before
and then, and but I do like to have like
snacky type things with the wine.
Speaker 3 (01:16:34):
Sure, okay, we'll have a fun.
Speaker 2 (01:16:37):
Break there tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
There's a lot of good people that are coming out,
and I'm looking forward to seeing everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
Uh. Kevin Parker sent me a message.
Speaker 2 (01:16:45):
He's going to be there tonight. He's coming.
Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
He's also listening right now.
Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
The great Sam Adams is going to be there, he says.
Speaker 6 (01:16:50):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Simon Stacy, Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:16:54):
He says, I cannot confirm or deny that I may
be in the new Baywatch show. My god, that's funny.
That's funny. Okay, all right, Kevin, Well, we'll keep an
ear out.
Speaker 4 (01:17:12):
Famous for the phrase this body doesn't chisel itself what
he says, getting ready to do his exercise. All right,
we'll take a break. When we return, our friend Sam
Adams will be here. He'll be here with us now
and then he'll he'll join us tonight too. And I
(01:17:32):
think here's what we do. Hear me out when he
comes in. We make it sound like that he's got
to do a performance at the thing tonight. Oh make
a speech, yeah, just say well, and then course, remember Sam,
you're doing the thing. We've got seven minutes for you,
So however you want to use that if you want
to you know, we have a karaoke machine if you
want to sing, if you have a routine that you
(01:17:54):
want to do. But you'll have your seven minutes and
then we'll come back and then we'll follow up.
Speaker 3 (01:17:59):
Yeah, just see how that I think if we tell
him that we've picked him to do the toast, because
that'll be all Really, you guys picked me. Yeah, yeah,
we're putting it right at the top of this. So
what time will you be there so we know how
to you lock him into a time? Okay, right?
Speaker 2 (01:18:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
And and Cli is not going to show up. There's
no way she's doing a happy hour at her house.
There's just no way. Sorry to disappoint you, but I know, I.
Speaker 4 (01:18:25):
Mean, I'm not We have Sam and Cali has another event,
but I'm not. I say, it's probable that she will
not come, but it's not out.
Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
Of the question, Okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
And if there was a wager involved, I would I would.
Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
You wouldn't have any money, so well take odds. Okay,
what do they?
Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
I don't know. What do you say? What do you
what do you say?
Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
There is zero percent chance of her showing up tonight, just.
Speaker 4 (01:18:54):
Say one percent, Okay, Then I will bet you one
hundred to one. I'll put up a dollar. Okay, she shows,
I get one hundred dollars. If she doesn't, I give
you a dollar one odds.
Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
Okay, Well, then maybe I take a ten percent, because
then it's then the odds are then how much do
I have to give you? Well, ten ten dollars instead
of one hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:19:21):
But you're making it sound like there's no chance. You
said zero.
Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
Okay, then I'll take that back.
Speaker 2 (01:19:26):
One hundred, one hundred and one. I'm putting up one.
Speaker 3 (01:19:30):
No shenanigans from you, no going driving and kidnapping her
bring there, no sending mafia people out there to grab her.
If she comes with tape in her hands, it doesn't count.
Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
Nothing like that.
Speaker 3 (01:19:43):
Oh you're going to put the high pressure on her. Now.
I'm like, look, I got a hundred bucks on the line.
You better come.
Speaker 2 (01:19:48):
I will have no communication okay, Okay, okay.
Speaker 3 (01:19:52):
If I see her and be like coll what damn.
Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
It just lost a hundred bucks.
Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Yeah happen.
Speaker 4 (01:20:00):
But we have we have a really fun group that's
going to be there tonight. I know a lot of
the people in the text line are going to join us,
and we'd love to see everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:20:10):
Mary Hill Winery. Uh, we're going to officially start at five.
Speaker 3 (01:20:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:20:14):
I plan to be there a bit early and we'll
be there past seven.
Speaker 3 (01:20:18):
Yeah, I'll be there early. Get some food, cooking food,
well at lasts.
Speaker 4 (01:20:23):
All right, we're back after this break, The David Molly
Show continues live from the Numerica Studios.
Speaker 7 (01:20:34):
Happy anniversary to Molly Show, Happy anniversary, Happy one year anniversary.
Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
David Molly. The story still continues.
Speaker 1 (01:20:43):
We now return to The Dave and Molly Show live
from the nw America Studios.
Speaker 2 (01:20:49):
Just like that, we're back in. Look who's there. It's
our friend Sam Adams.
Speaker 3 (01:20:52):
Sam.
Speaker 2 (01:20:53):
Oh, you guys are the best. Clap for me too,
the star of tonight's anniversary park right, Yes, I'm not
gonna wait what.
Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
You're in charge of the toast, you're in charge of
the entertainment. I have my small microphone thing.
Speaker 2 (01:21:10):
And we've been debating on this because I think Molly said,
like fifteen minutes. I said no, it looks seven seven minutes,
seven to ten minutes.
Speaker 4 (01:21:19):
You'll have your like, uh, is there a teleprompter.
Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
That's our little bit, you know.
Speaker 10 (01:21:29):
It dawned on me though when I said I would
be there and I'd bring my wife. I was just
thinking as somebody supporting you, uh and the and the
year mark, and then I thought about it, go wait,
your your listeners are going to be here and your
supporters and your fans. And I've been a part of
the show for the last year and a lot of
the material is about me and my wife. Yeah, and
(01:21:50):
it doesn't paint me in a very flattering uh picture
at all. My wife is the hero and I'm the
villain and all these stories, and so the whole night
tonight is going to be us meeting everybody, and then
they'll blow right by me. They'll be like, oh Sam,
nice to meet you, Stacy, Oh my.
Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
You are so I know I'm going to be the
whipping board today. I know.
Speaker 4 (01:22:15):
No, people love you and they're they're gonna be very
excited that you're gonna be there.
Speaker 10 (01:22:20):
But it's always fun meeting your fans because it's amazing
that that, Like I I can't tell you how many
times now I get stopped by people in public, and
a good portion of the time they're like Oh my gosh,
I love you on the David Molly Show CALLI said.
Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
That yesterday too. That makes us really happy, me too,
because you provide entertainment for us, and it means people
are out there listening to.
Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
Us to It's a win win. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:22:41):
And we were on your program yesterday program.
Speaker 10 (01:22:44):
You were on our program, yeah special, Yeah you guys,
you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:22:50):
Just to let you know when you were on. I
didn't like it. I loved it. I want to you now.
That was pretty good. I was actually he reeled me
in and that's my bit, and I got reeled in
(01:23:10):
on the own bit.
Speaker 1 (01:23:11):
I know.
Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
You feel free to use that sometimes.
Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
Yes, I was the other one we gave him to use.
Oh yeah, well yay, who's we've been? I don't know.
That started a long time ago. He'd been calling ourselves yay,
who's that.
Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
It was fun having you on the other way around.
Speaker 10 (01:23:25):
It felt almost weird having you you two on beforehand
where you're getting ready, because then I felt like a
different person because the person that we're here, we can
let our guard down even more right, you know, I
don't have to like button up the ties loose and
I'm just hanging out and.
Speaker 4 (01:23:44):
Uh, when I was nervous yesterday, I was and like,
you know, we've done a million of those kinds of
things over the years, but for whatever reason, I was like.
Speaker 2 (01:23:51):
When I was standing there, was like, oh, they're they're
really huge. You know.
Speaker 3 (01:23:56):
I was more afraid I was going to say something,
mess you guys up because you are listening. You know
that you go to the package, sure, and they've shut
all the microphones there off, right, So I was afraid, well,
the package was going on and we're all standing there,
that if we said anything, what if it bled through
to the thing and that we mess you up?
Speaker 2 (01:24:13):
You guys are pros, we're pros. I don't know about that.
You're not ya. Who's no? Yeah? Who's I took that
from some friends that they used that term, and then
I just took it and started thinking he took.
Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
It from me.
Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
No.
Speaker 3 (01:24:28):
I came in one day and said, yay, who's yes? When, oh,
years ago it was years.
Speaker 2 (01:24:34):
And twenty years ago.
Speaker 10 (01:24:35):
Was this about the time that Yahoo's Serious was a
big deal the comedian Remember Yahoo's Serious?
Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
No, I remember Yakov Sparoff. Yeah, that's true. A lot
of country Yahoo Serious was like some comedian with Einstein
like hair, but it was red. Oh I don't remember.
He was a ya who anyway you remember him?
Speaker 3 (01:25:00):
I remember it from like ten years ago coming. I
think what happens is they all blend in, like somebody
brings it in and then all of a sudden it
becomes There are the canisms, though the canisms are different,
those are his, like he he always has really unique
I can't think of any now, well he.
Speaker 2 (01:25:18):
Had the second oh yeah yeah yeah, like who what else?
No one was going to take that. But when he
says that, it makes sense.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Yeah, well yeah, and scrap it a breach? Yeah, scrap
we don't. We don't.
Speaker 2 (01:25:32):
We don't, Sam, we don't.
Speaker 3 (01:25:35):
That's him.
Speaker 2 (01:25:38):
Yeah, he has some that are there the that was his.
Speaker 3 (01:25:42):
Yeah or totally his, and other things like hear me out.
Everybody can incorporate, but there's no taking scrap of a
breach from him. You'd be like, what are you doing that? No,
that doesn't make sense. It's different. It's different, Yeah you can't.
So what else have you picked up from us?
Speaker 10 (01:26:03):
I mean obviously the fist raising.
Speaker 2 (01:26:09):
The roof, you know another one. I don't know if
Dave shares this with you, but I really enjoy.
Speaker 10 (01:26:13):
One of my favorite things is is have you ever
you wonder like, Okay, there's a hamburger and you go, oh,
it's a hamburger, and it tastes great, But then you
don't know how the hamburger is made. Right, And sometimes
you don't want to know how the hamburger is made.
It's the sausage or the sausage is even worse.
Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
Yeah, Dave's posito text is much like that.
Speaker 10 (01:26:33):
So I'll get a text from from Dave, and can
I just read it. I'll just find out.
Speaker 2 (01:26:37):
Now I don't know what. No, I'll find something.
Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
I think you read one of his the other day. Yeah,
that you spelled out dot dot dot.
Speaker 2 (01:26:46):
So so he'll he'll write one.
Speaker 10 (01:26:50):
So I think we're uh, let's see here you go say,
I am absolutely ellipses maybe Thursday or Friday, question mark,
maybe right around nine o'clock if you can join for
that segment, that would be wonderful ellipses, which is three dots.
So so I've seen now Dave when he does these texts,
he'll be he'll be in the golf cart, he'll be
like this, He'll be all right. Now, now I'm going
(01:27:12):
to re enact it, Hey, Sam, double exclamation mark absolutely,
dot dot dot maybe Thursday or Friday, question mark maybe
right around nine o'clock. And if you can join for
that segment, Comma, that would be wonderful. Dot dot dot
And he'll read it out loud, and I'm doing he's
doing the voice to text.
Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
So now the running gag is I do it to Dave.
Speaker 10 (01:27:32):
But when I text him, Yes, I actually write the
dots out, so I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:27:36):
Do voice to text. So I go, Hi, Dave, dot
dot dot.
Speaker 10 (01:27:40):
Here are the colors Kali and Jenny are wearing today,
dot dot dot. I'll go navy suit with a tie
to match COLI dot dot dot. I don't know exactly
what golden Rod is. Question mark the word question mark,
I write it. It's basically everything is written out here.
Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
That's what.
Speaker 10 (01:27:58):
And then but here the big say where you're blue
and you'll look great. Exclamation mark times three, double fist,
pump in air, emoji, smiley face, fireworks.
Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
It's going to be great. Exclamation mark times five.
Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
Yes, you took the time to type all of that
out two twenty something in the morning, thirty in the morning,
great thinking.
Speaker 2 (01:28:23):
That's when I met my creator.
Speaker 10 (01:28:24):
If you think I'm fun now at eight o'clock in
the morning, Wait till you catch me at two thirty
two in the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
Like that was that was the first thing that I
saw yesterday morning. Yeah, I had to make an impression
on you. Oh yeah, it made an impression. Hite the impression.
Oh yes. Everybody used to tease me about the dot
dot dot, but now but everybody uses it. I love it,
I do it.
Speaker 3 (01:28:47):
I use dot dot too.
Speaker 2 (01:28:49):
Do you like it's an ellipses? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:28:52):
Is that what it's called? And ellipses when they're all
three together.
Speaker 10 (01:28:54):
Yeah, because they're in the land of the anchor. When
there's a teleprompter. Some people are pro ellipses, some people
are anti ellipses, and some people are somewhere in the middle.
Speaker 2 (01:29:06):
So so we get some script, how would you be anti?
Speaker 3 (01:29:09):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:29:09):
What? What? What? What's the well?
Speaker 10 (01:29:11):
Because some people, uh, and I'm not going to identify
anybody here, but there are some anchors that prefer ellipses
not to separate parts of the sentence, but to just
give room between words. Yes, so there are some anchors
in the teleprompter where it would go something along the
lines of meantime in dot dot dot Mexico City, dot
(01:29:36):
dot dot for people dot dot dot were injured, dot
dot dot and it and they there's no form or
function to it, and you're like looking at the script, going.
Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
That's just random.
Speaker 10 (01:29:47):
Yeah, nobody talks like this in a sentence.
Speaker 3 (01:29:53):
Oh some of you do, but some.
Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
Dude too much pausing.
Speaker 10 (01:30:01):
And so for me, the dot dot dot sometimes can
be to replace and again this is for the teleprompter
can be used to replace the common comma. So I'll
use it every once in a while, but really just
to either break up a sentence because it's just far
too long and I need a moment to just catch
my breath and then continue.
Speaker 3 (01:30:22):
When you first started, did you ever do the thing?
It's it happens in radio and television everywhere where. It's
hard to duplicate it, but it What the takeaway is
the person doesn't know what they're going to say next,
so they hold on to that word until they can
come up with the next one. Oh yeah, what is
that called? What do we call that? I don't know,
(01:30:44):
because there are people who've been on the radio forever
who still do it. You know, it's just the way
that they talk. And then you'll see it in the news.
Usually it's when people are first starting out.
Speaker 4 (01:30:55):
Yeah, well, but then the really really good interviewers to
the throwback. But Phil Donahue was the He was the
master of this where he would hold on to the
last word almost like he couldn't think of it, so
his the person he was interviewing, would would get there
(01:31:15):
before or at the same time that he would, and
it would help the interview process. He would be it'd
be something like, and this was a technique, I mean
it was really he did it for a reason. It
wasn't you know that he was trying to think of
a word.
Speaker 2 (01:31:29):
He'd be like, so, I'm trying to think of an example,
you know for the next game. Of course you'll be
playing the quarterback Cardinals, you know the team, and then
it would put that thought in that person's head and
so they could It was more of a was he
was very very good interviewer. So in an affair, you know, yes,
(01:31:55):
that would be like, that would be one of the
that would be his thing.
Speaker 3 (01:31:59):
Yeah, there are people who finish your sentence and you
don't want him to because that's not where you were
actually going, right, It's.
Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
Like a mad libs at that point we were in
a spaceship, come on a space foster.
Speaker 3 (01:32:12):
My ex husband used to say, you want to keep
guessing or can I just go ahead and finish this?
Speaker 2 (01:32:16):
Sense? Okay, Okay, I get it.
Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
I'm trying to figure out. He would get to the
point a little more slowly sometimes, so people would tend
to jump in because he was doing that.
Speaker 4 (01:32:27):
That's what happens to me sometimes. Yeah, a lot of times. Yeah,
people will.
Speaker 3 (01:32:31):
Because you're not finishing your thing because.
Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
I'm a little slow. Some of it is, you know,
I want to do that.
Speaker 4 (01:32:38):
Other times it's just because I've done so much I
think I talk clunky well. That that is the the
benefit of having a co host is like if you're
on the anchor desk by yourself and the words are
escaping you for a moment, you're on your own. There's
no like say, there's no safety belt, there's no life preserver,
Whereas with a co anchor, if you're just trying to
(01:33:00):
find the words and the other person, especially if you
are like simpatico, like you two and me and Cali,
she can come to the rescue, right, yeah, make you
look good now. On the flip side, sometimes they'll hang
out to they'll hang out to dry and honestly, like
you could be in a situation as as a as
an anchor, you could say something and it could be taken.
(01:33:23):
I'll argue this to my dying day that when you
are saying something on TV with somebody next to you,
that if something is to be interpreted one way or
the other, the viewer will always pay more attention to
the person next to them, the listener, and not the speaker,
because they want to hear and interpret the reaction and say,
(01:33:44):
is that okay what he just said?
Speaker 10 (01:33:46):
Or am I supposed to be offended or whatever. So
your anchor, your your wingman, your copilot, whatever you want
to call them, is so important.
Speaker 3 (01:33:55):
You could really mess somebody up too. If you're telling
a story about arrest, strong or whatever and you see
callide just start going, yeah, there's a brand new restaurant
opening in downtown Spokane, and you just see her just
a little.
Speaker 4 (01:34:11):
Or the surprise, like you know, well, and they're doing
incredible business, really really.
Speaker 3 (01:34:23):
Business. Do you ever finish your wife's story if you
both know the story. I have friends who will tell
story over each other, So then you're ping ponging back
and forth but then also if your partner knows the
story already, and especially if they encourage you to tell
the story to a group, then they come in and
(01:34:43):
and clip off your punchline. That is the worst.
Speaker 2 (01:34:47):
I don't like being told to tell a story.
Speaker 3 (01:34:49):
Yeah, that's tough.
Speaker 2 (01:34:51):
I'm tough. I mean I do it.
Speaker 10 (01:34:53):
I guess eight hours a day. I am a person
who does what I'm told. You know, so at home,
tell him that story about and I wanted to feel organic.
Speaker 3 (01:35:07):
My my uncle John is a big one for wanting
you to perform on cue. And then our family that's
our currency. Funny whatever, and gdo Elaine May and Mike Nichols.
Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
Are Mike Nichols.
Speaker 3 (01:35:17):
Nichols and May are like old school, very very very hilarious.
I mean, they're known for being some of the funniest
people on the planet. So my uncle introduces me to them.
And I can't say the punchline of this story because
you can't say it on the air. But let's just
say it's carrot. That's that and and if you know
(01:35:39):
that word, then it's going to ruin the story because
it has to come out later. He introduces me to
those two and he says This is my niece Molly.
She is the funniest person I know. Tell him the
Carrot story. I was like, okay, a that's a horrible
or not shit punchline, and that's the punchline. And so
they're looking at me, and I was like, and then
(01:36:00):
if I didn't do the story, though, he would have
been like, I can't believe you didn't do the story.
I cannot believe you didn't do the story. So you
had to work your way around it, and I think
left and it was a dirty It was dirty. Carrot
was not the punchline. It was a different punchline. But
that's a setup for disaster. You cannot like wait till
they tell you this story. Oh my god, you're gonna
love the story. No, no, it's so funny, it's so funny.
Tell him the story that's bad.
Speaker 10 (01:36:21):
Yeah, what you're supposed to say is like, actually, as
Sam met mean Gene Oakland in Alaska, and then then
the story happened, or and yeah, it turns out Sam,
you you actually took mean Gene Oakland bar hopping in
Anchorage when he was in town.
Speaker 2 (01:36:41):
And then like, well, that's the that's the setup. I
need to like tell you the story.
Speaker 3 (01:36:46):
Yeah, Ken does a good job of. If we're talking
about siblings, he'll say, oh, Molly's brother was a genius.
He did some stuff to her, and then he leads
that in and then I'll he doesn't give away which
story it is, or tell him about this. I mean
occasionally if you say, tell him about the swimming pool,
then you say, well, it's hard to get out of
swimming pool and roller skates, and then people go, oh
(01:37:07):
my god. So then that's enough of it.
Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
Yeah, it needs to do.
Speaker 3 (01:37:11):
You have to be a good partner.
Speaker 10 (01:37:12):
You do, you do, and there's good ones and there's
you appreciate the good ones when you don't have the
good ones.
Speaker 2 (01:37:17):
Right, yeah, yeah, we got good ones.
Speaker 3 (01:37:20):
Yeah. So what's your toast going to be like tonight?
Speaker 2 (01:37:24):
Now I'm starting to wonder is it?
Speaker 3 (01:37:28):
Will you just kind of.
Speaker 2 (01:37:29):
Here we go? Can I what do you need? I
need a glass and a fork?
Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
Oh what?
Speaker 10 (01:37:35):
Oh yeah, they get everybody's attention. Oh yeah, look if
I'm gonna do this thing, I gotta I gotta get
into character here.
Speaker 2 (01:37:41):
Oh everybody quiet quiet. I think that's Sam Adams. I
think he's going to say, so everybody quiet, thank you?
Would take them only, thank you the great Sam Adams.
Speaker 3 (01:37:52):
That'll be Dave, because they'll be tanked fifth in the air,
so expect that now go.
Speaker 10 (01:38:01):
Dave is my biggest athletic supporter, playing golf together.
Speaker 2 (01:38:07):
Be an athletics support supporter just like us.
Speaker 10 (01:38:10):
What can I say about Dave and Mollie that hasn't
already been said time and time again every single weekday,
Monday through Friday.
Speaker 2 (01:38:20):
That I'm going to repeat right now.
Speaker 10 (01:38:22):
Dave and Mollie, their story continues for one year, and
dare I say, many of you out there whispered quietly,
I give it six weeks, give it six weeks, and
here they are overcoming the odds. And I just want
to say, on a on a deeper meaningful level, I
(01:38:44):
really look forward to playing more golf and getting to
know Dave what he is, the fabric, the fiber of
his being, who he is, and that didn't happen.
Speaker 3 (01:38:58):
Or let's edit here. And then since I found out
the fiber, I realize we're not really a good match.
Speaker 10 (01:39:04):
So the girl then I started asking if she would
like to go golf with me.
Speaker 3 (01:39:11):
We're made up of different fibers. Turns out.
Speaker 2 (01:39:15):
High fiber diet one you don't want with day. Yeah,
I think it's gonna be great. Yeah, people look forward
to meeting you. So how is this party gonna work?
Putting this on yourself? Are you having a party for
yourself or somebody putting a party for you? It does,
It's just it's a it's a gathering, okay at Merry Hill.
(01:39:35):
Have you been to Marry Hill? The kinderyards Mary? I
don't think so.
Speaker 4 (01:39:39):
Yeah, really cool spot and should be nice weather. So
if people want to go out on the deck too.
Speaker 2 (01:39:44):
That'll be.
Speaker 3 (01:39:45):
They have a VIP room and it has a big,
beautiful bar, and so we're going to provide some food.
Speaker 10 (01:39:52):
Yeah, describe it in detail for me, because I want
to know what I'm missing.
Speaker 3 (01:39:55):
What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (01:39:56):
Well, I won't be a vi P you are for there?
Oh my gosh, I have to change my speech for you. Guys.
Speaker 3 (01:40:03):
We're members of Remembers of Terry Hill, and so when
you go there for tastings, you can sit in the
VIP room. But so they're giving it to us for
tonight and then so we'll have shark teutury and some
hummus and some flatbreads out while it lasts you know,
and then well, I think I will bring my little
microphone thing.
Speaker 2 (01:40:22):
Yeah, you guys know how to put on a party.
Speaker 3 (01:40:24):
Too, you know. And and so then people just I
think people will just drop in and we'll have prizes
to give away people. We could we could do it
like who knows the show kind of trivia thing for
we could be you know.
Speaker 10 (01:40:38):
And you're you're your listeners are awesome, Yes, they like
they really are. Like I can tell you again how
many times I've It's almost like I'm famous by knowing
you too. So when they're they're introducing a lot of
times like oh my gosh, I'm I'm so and so,
like this did happen outside of like Dick's Sporting Goods
once a couple of months ago. And then and then
(01:41:00):
she introduced herself and she goes, what is your She
goes like, I'm caller number one sixty eight, yeah, the
litener number. I'm listening number one sixty eight yeah, And
I'm like going, awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:41:11):
I don't know what that means, but that was that Hannah. Oh,
I don't know what the number and I can see.
Speaker 3 (01:41:17):
It right here. That was Hannah. Don't you don't use
Hannah's number in vain. Oh, Hannah's going, what the hell
I did not meet Sam?
Speaker 2 (01:41:25):
I know this off the top of your head. What
numbers are?
Speaker 3 (01:41:27):
We have a list right here.
Speaker 10 (01:41:28):
We knew something, we know something, but it was a
career number. So like, is that the one hundred and
sixty eighth listener you ever had?
Speaker 2 (01:41:35):
Is that? What the significance of the numbers?
Speaker 4 (01:41:36):
But we when we first started the show, the first
two hundred days that we did the show, we had
a listener of the day, so people would call in
and they were that show number listener.
Speaker 3 (01:41:45):
Now this makes sense so right, So for instance, let's
see Maria number one, twenty four. She's school bus driver
in post balls and her dad was in a band.
Speaker 2 (01:41:57):
Right, wow, yeah, she keeps notes on all these people. Yeah,
like a scouting report.
Speaker 3 (01:42:01):
So Debbie who's won twenty six, never called after all
after all these years. Kids cut out our pictures from
the paper, from the bloomsday cleaning houses stuff. You just
put little notes.
Speaker 4 (01:42:13):
We started when on the old show, we started it
and we were into I think we got up to
the thirty nine hundred, but only one per day, So
that you know, it gives you an idea of honey,
and we started it way late, and so then we
moved over here we started fresh with a brand new thing.
We got to two hundred. We called that the Power
two hundred today is actually our two hundred and fortieth show.
(01:42:35):
So then in this new thing. So we've been We've
done two hundred and thirty nine shows. This is the
two hundred and fortieth show, but we don't have a
new listener of the day.
Speaker 2 (01:42:45):
We stopped at two hundred. We called that the It's.
Speaker 3 (01:42:47):
Hard because of the time shifting that people do, so
it's hard for them to be on with us live.
You know, there's certain people who can't. And we always
did it in the nine o'clock hour.
Speaker 2 (01:42:58):
That's how many life listens.
Speaker 10 (01:42:59):
And that's actually how we we RSVP'd for this that
we I'm not that you need an RSVP, Remember I was.
I was saying, instead of taking a note and sending
a calendar invite, I'm just I said, Stacy, take notes,
we're being invited to the shindig. And sure enough, that day,
on her drive home from work around three o'clock in
the afternoon, it was there. And by the time she
(01:43:22):
walked through the door, the calendar invite was set and
we're ready to go.
Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
Now here's what's going to happen today? Is it on
her way home she's going to hear this stuff about
the toast. Is she's going to barge in and go Sam, No, No,
I don't know what you're planning. But no, I'm not
going with you.
Speaker 10 (01:43:38):
Unless unless I read pre prepared statement from my wife.
Speaker 4 (01:43:42):
Yeah, so now do you and Colie talk about your
your plans for like we we do, Molly and I do,
because that's part of the show. At the end of
the show, we say, Okay, here's here's what we're doing
the rest of the day. But like on your off time,
like you're you're down there and talking to Clyde, will
you guys say, hey, what are you doing tonight?
Speaker 10 (01:44:00):
Okay, every single day, whether it's a weekday or into
the weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:44:04):
So what are you go going on today?
Speaker 10 (01:44:05):
And to the point where like, okay, so how was
dinner with your parents yesterday? So we know, yeah, we're
very plugged into what she said about tonight. I didn't
get her plans yet for tonight. It's usually later on
in the morning when we start.
Speaker 4 (01:44:19):
Yeah, yeah, because she she's she's hosting a happy hour
thing at her house. Oh yes, with her tall friends.
Oh that's why she won't be here. Well, that's what
she says.
Speaker 2 (01:44:28):
She's not going to be there tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:44:30):
But but so what I what I believe is that
I think that I think she's going to show.
Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
I don't think so, Okay, that's right.
Speaker 3 (01:44:38):
He made me put odds on it, and then he
made me put money down. So said one hundred and one.
She's not coming. She's not coming, thank you.
Speaker 10 (01:44:46):
It's not on the north side, right, that's one, strike
one two. It's in the evening hour, strike two.
Speaker 3 (01:44:52):
And she's having a happy hour, so she's going to
have a cocktail. So she's not going to drive. That's
somebody drive her.
Speaker 2 (01:44:57):
So you guys will both give me one one on.
I'll ten to one. Tend to one and.
Speaker 3 (01:45:02):
I'll give you one hundred to one, and no shenanigans
behind the scenes, no going down there and like saying, hey,
you really got to do this.
Speaker 2 (01:45:11):
I's not the kind of person she is. True, Yeah,
I'll do it.
Speaker 3 (01:45:17):
She is anti coaxable, right right, Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:45:20):
No, there won't be any you know, no no foul play, cahoots,
no cahots, no cahots, no foul play, no foul play, Okay.
Speaker 10 (01:45:27):
And she's direct about it, like like if you ask me,
I'm like, oh, well that that sounds awesome. That sounds great. Yeah,
that sounds amazing. So we'll see, like, oh, you know,
we'll see you know I said that. Yes, she'll be like. No,
she says, I'll probably know.
Speaker 2 (01:45:43):
She says, yeah, that's what she said. And she says,
and aren't you glad that I said that as opposed
to well, I might be there knowing that I'm not
going to be Yeah, And so yeah, she's she's very
very direct, and that's good. Yeah, direct and to the point. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
That's why you guys will be so surprised.
Speaker 3 (01:46:03):
Right well here though, she might do it for the
fifty bucks if you share the bet with her, if
you said, look, I got I got one hundred bucks
coming if you show up, but I'll split it with you.
She likes, well, yeah, she likes. She likes. She likes
to have a little money.
Speaker 2 (01:46:19):
Who doesn't.
Speaker 3 (01:46:21):
Apparently, I don't. I'm willing to throw money at this thing,
this this one hundred to one odds deal. I feel
very confident. No, I have to give him one hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:46:31):
Nobody, you're going to get a dollar if you don't.
Speaker 3 (01:46:33):
He doesn't and he doesn't even have a dollar.
Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
So now, oh, okay, I won five dollars yesterday for real,
I still have it in my wallet. And that's why
I'm giving you ten to one. Yeah, well, and you'll
win a dollar. Oh and okay, yeah, I tend to
one on five dollars. How about that? Oh it's a
five dollar bet. Yeah, sure, so then I'll get fifty yes, oh,
(01:46:57):
I will take it.
Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
And how much you get? Five dollar bucks?
Speaker 2 (01:46:59):
Okay, okay, see look I'm already making more than you, Molly.
Speaker 3 (01:47:03):
Yeah, you're right, and you're losing more than way moresh
gets higher's where's your moving man?
Speaker 2 (01:47:09):
Here?
Speaker 3 (01:47:10):
Well, you know, in the gambling and this, I'm in
a clear disadvantage because I don't know how it all works.
So it's like when my brother would say, well, I'll
take your little teeny measley dime and I'm going to
give you this giant nickel, andthing happened to me. I'm
in I got a giant nickel and he has a
crappy little dime.
Speaker 10 (01:47:28):
That's how my lemonade stand went out of business. Stupid
nick Ttro across the street did that to me. I
was so smart and I was so naive.
Speaker 4 (01:47:37):
Do you ever do the thing where it's like, all right,
well we'll flip the coin heads, I wind tails, you lose. Okay,
ready here, if you say it real fast, that's funny.
Speaker 2 (01:47:50):
Three, it always works.
Speaker 3 (01:47:54):
Well, we're looking forward to seeing you there. And I
know they have you know, I know you don't drink
the wine, so they have barkling sodas and they have
different things, and then we'll have we'll have foods.
Speaker 10 (01:48:03):
I always appreciate that, by the way, you know, going
to public events where sometimes you go and it's like
there's just a full stocked bar and there's like micro
brews and wines and champagnes. And then if you don't
sometimes like and here's a uh, here's a sports cooler
of room temperature lemonade that looked like it just got
(01:48:25):
back from the the soccer fields in Spokane Valley, Like, uh,
come on, I love it when you when you punch
it up.
Speaker 3 (01:48:34):
Listen at the safety Net event, because you're at the
table right, are you going to the safety Net event?
You can you get Stacy, can come.
Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
We have extra We're gonna be there on Saturday night. Okay,
let me check.
Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
I thought maybe you were in the cage Qs maybe
in the.
Speaker 2 (01:48:48):
In the words of Cali, I'll probably not be there.
Speaker 3 (01:48:52):
I thought you were sitting at the cage Q table.
Speaker 2 (01:48:55):
No why I thought I was not invited.
Speaker 3 (01:48:57):
Well, if you want to come, but let me just
say this. We have we're how to wine and beer tastings,
but we're also doing mocktail tasting.
Speaker 2 (01:49:02):
I love mocktail.
Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
We have a couple of people on our board are
our thing who don't drink at all, and so there's that,
and we have I don't know if we did lemonadeor
Huckleberry lemonade, I think, and I think there's there's tea
coffee lemonade or cuckleberry. And then the mocktail tastings.
Speaker 10 (01:49:18):
Love it so ebicarian delight. I mean, sorry I got
to bring it up, but epicurean delight. Theyre mock tail
went around amazing. You should go sometime, well maybe this year. Yeah,
coming up.
Speaker 3 (01:49:30):
Because that was the first argument we ever had on
the air with you, guys, was the first disappointment because
you are so confident, and then there was a memo
that went around, please check in with Jen.
Speaker 2 (01:49:38):
Yeah. I felt bad about that. I felt awful. It's
always the first Friday in November. You know the date
better than I do, and I'm the one who always
goes to it. Yeah, don't you host it? Is that? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:49:50):
Yeah, you know what. I'm going to be gone? What
I think I'll be gone? Well? When's the first? Hang
on a second, did you I'm going to tell you
what I did? Sam? So exciting? The first Friday? Is
it the first Friday?
Speaker 2 (01:50:02):
Because the first Friday that.
Speaker 3 (01:50:03):
Would be the seventh? And where am I going to be?
Speaker 2 (01:50:05):
Oh? You're going to be in now House? I bought
just going to the Brady House. Yeah, wait, like the thing?
Speaker 3 (01:50:12):
It's it's it's a fundraiser and you pay to go
for an hour and a half block And three or
four people sent me the link yesterday, including my oldest
friend Stacy who's in Portland, and I bought the tickets
because they were going like hotcakes.
Speaker 2 (01:50:25):
You did it.
Speaker 3 (01:50:25):
I did it. I pulled a trigger. I'll worry about
the flight in the hotel later.
Speaker 2 (01:50:29):
Nice. So you got people there, You're fine?
Speaker 3 (01:50:32):
Yeah? I actually could stay with my cousins. If I want,
I might fly in a day or even maybe two
days early and go see them and then Stacy'll meet
me and then so you get an hour and a half.
And because they renovated on the HGTV thing and then
they were doing airbnb. So this is a fundraiser for
an animal sanctuary.
Speaker 2 (01:50:48):
Situation, fantastic.
Speaker 10 (01:50:51):
There's not a and I say this in complete candor
and honesty, there's not a more iconic home in entertainment
than the Brady House.
Speaker 3 (01:50:58):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (01:50:59):
I can see it in my mind's eye right now.
Speaker 3 (01:51:00):
Yes, and and the best like so the last night
I was watching the episode because I watched one every day.
It's the one where they're going to move They just
moved in together and then and they're going to sell
the house, and so the kids then are like, oh no,
we don't want to sell the house. So they pretend
it's haunted and so. But but when Mike is there
and he's the architect, you know, he's very proud of
(01:51:21):
the house, and they have somebody coming through to see
it and she's saying, oh, well, this is a fine house.
I'm thinking, is it Have you seen this house? I
mean for the time it was, but really it's you know,
it's tacky, it's so and everything Mike in the movie
the best thing was everything he builds looks just like
(01:51:42):
their house. So if he's designing a gas station or
or a building of any jury.
Speaker 2 (01:51:48):
Watched the movies.
Speaker 3 (01:51:49):
The movies are very funny, so funny.
Speaker 2 (01:51:52):
I have bad fashion and style.
Speaker 10 (01:51:54):
Then, because I was going to say that that home
has aged very well. Open floor plan, open floor plan,
you come in there right away.
Speaker 2 (01:52:04):
Mike was ahead of his time.
Speaker 3 (01:52:06):
Maybe the dining room being right there, and everything in
the living room, dining room, and then got concept.
Speaker 10 (01:52:11):
You got what we call a rancher that's actually expanded
right in California. Rancher good, good space management, kitchen dynamite.
Now I only tell you this because I was just thinking.
I just saw a clip yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:52:25):
I don't know why.
Speaker 10 (01:52:25):
Somehow on so I'm off Instagram, I'm off TikTok, I'm
off Facebook, I'm off x. The only thing I have
left is is Reddit. I'll check Reddit every once in
a while. And so somehow the algorithms trying to figure
me out, and somehow now it thinks I'm really into
growing Pains the show, the TV show, not the actual thing,
(01:52:45):
and so it shows a clip from the and I'm
gonna Sam's Plain Growing Pains nineteen eighty sitcom. Kirk Cameron
was the teen heart throb. Tracy Gold was the nerdy
teenager sister.
Speaker 2 (01:52:59):
They had been and.
Speaker 10 (01:53:00):
Who is boy? I don't know a lot about this show.
Ben was kind of cute young kid. And then the
two the husband and wife. I think one he ran
the He was a psychiatrist and he works out of
Allen Thick and he worked out of his house. And
then Joining Kerns was the wife.
Speaker 2 (01:53:15):
Yeah, And anyways, they showed a pilot where they had
recast Tracy Gold the sister.
Speaker 10 (01:53:22):
And so it was somebody else who was in that role. Anyways,
the thing that got me was I was watching it.
I had the sound off because what I do is
in the morning, I'm watching some I'm going through my feed,
but I don't want to wake up my wife because
it's two thirty in the morning. That's where the texts
come in. And that's why I can't read it out loud.
Speaker 2 (01:53:41):
Dave voice to texts, I have to actually physically type
dot dot dot double.
Speaker 10 (01:53:46):
Emoji of palm trees. So I noticed in the kitchen
for Growing Pains that the kitchen is completely cluttered. There's
so much stuff, there's just knickknacks all over the place
that it's it's an open cabinet concept, where's you every
single dish and it just like drapes everywhere, wallpaper everywhere.
(01:54:09):
And I was like, oh, that kitchen has not aged well.
And I had the thought going, I bet the I
bet the Brady kitchen looks pretty.
Speaker 2 (01:54:16):
Good right now.
Speaker 3 (01:54:16):
Well, they have all the same colored plates and they
and they put them up on the thing. What is
it growing I'm gonna look up Growing Pain.
Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:54:23):
I was not a fan at least in the pilot.
It was a very cluttered kitchen.
Speaker 2 (01:54:26):
See I saw that show. I mean I knew of it.
It's never realistic either the shows.
Speaker 10 (01:54:31):
There's never there's never any dishes in the sink ever,
and everything's always cleaned immediately.
Speaker 2 (01:54:36):
And if you go to any kitchen in America, there's
stuff there's.
Speaker 10 (01:54:40):
Like oh that that that that pot is gonna dry off,
or my teenager just hasn't put any of the dishes,
or just.
Speaker 4 (01:54:49):
The general clutter. Oh I brought the mail in. That's
still sitting on the counter. Oh, there's my coupons for
that one place. It's still here. Here's a power drill
that I just it's all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:54:59):
Yes, it's the That was a very eighties thing to
do though the open, you know. But more sand blasting.
That was when we moved into our house in eighty three.
My mom had everything sand blasted, so all the darkwood
was out from the seventies. And then you made it
that light. Everybody had light. When here's the thing I'm thinking,
(01:55:19):
So you get the bradies right, there's only three bedrooms
for all these people. Alice gets her own sweet downstairs.
She's got a bedroom and a bathroom and everything right.
And then Mike, he's using the whole office that he
works all the time. Why does he need an office
at home? Can't that be a playroom? I know they
have the den, but when Greg uses it for his bedroom,
(01:55:43):
they made a good point. Mike, you don't need to
take up the entire office. I know you're the man
of the house. Then I was thinking about it when
they all moved in. Who what were they using those bedrooms?
Did Greg have his own room? And Bobby and Peter
were bunking up.
Speaker 2 (01:56:00):
And girls moved in with the with the guy.
Speaker 3 (01:56:03):
Yeah, so good. So they get the room and then
you think, well, boy, one of them had to Greg
had to move back in because he had the separate
you know things, and whoever.
Speaker 2 (01:56:13):
It was probably Greg because he was the oldest. But
the backyard, he mowed the yard so well, I mean
it was always a perfect Yes, he must have the
lowest setting, the same height every single time, always green,
almost like fake.
Speaker 3 (01:56:30):
The best is when they would have an episode where
somebody had to go out and weed or cut things,
and so then they'd have to pretend that it was
real grass and real flowers and stuff. Oh it's so good.
Speaker 2 (01:56:42):
I'm happy. I'm so glad he booked that.
Speaker 3 (01:56:45):
Yeah, so excited. I think it's going to sell out fast.
Speaker 4 (01:56:48):
But Sam's really glad that you booked it because that's
one less person he has to worry about for epicure.
Speaker 10 (01:56:53):
Well, now, isn't going to be amazing If I get
Dave in. Oh my god, be much easier now, I'll
never live it down.
Speaker 2 (01:57:00):
Yeah, it's gonna be great, gonna be fantastic.
Speaker 3 (01:57:03):
All right, Well, we're happy you're going to be there tonight.
Sim and everybody's excited for the toast. I want to
know what time the toast is happening.
Speaker 4 (01:57:08):
And I think, just because you just totally off the
cuffee you started, I think you can go ten minutes
because we had originally said seven.
Speaker 2 (01:57:16):
But ten is Sam telling that joke, you know, that
really good one.
Speaker 4 (01:57:21):
Oh my god, tell them about the Alaska where you
took the guy a bar hopping.
Speaker 2 (01:57:28):
That story. That's gonna be great. Yeah, one year. Cheers
to you guys. Yeah, for real, it's pretty cool. Yeah,
so much fun.
Speaker 3 (01:57:38):
And pretty soon we'll be downstairs with you guys. It's
going to be We're going to do a tour after
the show of the new studio.
Speaker 2 (01:57:44):
Good today.
Speaker 10 (01:57:46):
We'll see And I know at least one person's bombed
that you're moving from the second floor down to the first.
Speaker 2 (01:57:52):
Yeah, he's bombed.
Speaker 3 (01:57:53):
Yeah, we have.
Speaker 2 (01:57:54):
Some friends, you salespeople.
Speaker 3 (01:57:55):
There's a bunch of people who you know, gave me
a hard time about switching from the the Vikings to
the Lions. So my favorite thing is to go out
when they're all talking. And then yesterday all I did
was am and they all looked over with okay, yes,
we know the Lions one. I said, I was just
clearing my throat. I don't know, I don't know what happened.
(01:58:16):
I like messy with them.
Speaker 2 (01:58:18):
That's the best.
Speaker 3 (01:58:19):
Yeah, because my allion.
Speaker 2 (01:58:21):
Football brings people together. It really doesn't never divide. Nope, no,
never at all.
Speaker 3 (01:58:26):
Hey, you're forty nine ers just barely squeaked by this weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:58:29):
Huh. It's the theme of the year.
Speaker 3 (01:58:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (01:58:32):
And they lost Nick Bosa for the year to an
a c L. I don't know if you heard that.
Top defensive player maybe in the.
Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
League they've got.
Speaker 10 (01:58:39):
Oh no, and the backup quarterback is now injured.
Speaker 2 (01:58:44):
Oh I didn't hear that. Yeah, back was injured. It
looks like the starting quarterback, brock Perty is going to
be back. I like that name. It's a great name.
Speaker 3 (01:58:52):
He's got the best name of.
Speaker 2 (01:58:54):
You know who has the best name? Is the new
quarterback for the Giants?
Speaker 3 (01:58:58):
Who's that?
Speaker 2 (01:58:58):
Jackson Dart? Yeah, Jackson is j A X Jackson. Dark
isn't the greatest name for a quarterback in Dark? We trust?
I think that's pretty And that puts Russell Wilson on
the bench. It sounds like a fake name. Yeah, it's
almost too good to be true. Yeah for a quarterback.
All right, it's like you're watching a film adaptation of
(01:59:21):
a football Yeah, the game, you know. And here comes
Jackson Dart into the game at a Biloxi, Mississippi. Jackson Dart.
Speaker 3 (01:59:31):
So what happens to your to your forty nine ers
this weekend? Do they do? They did? The Jaguars beat them?
I'm asking for a friend.
Speaker 2 (01:59:37):
There's three and oh is it on the road?
Speaker 3 (01:59:40):
No, it's at home?
Speaker 2 (01:59:41):
Okay, that that helps a lot. No. I think they can.
I think they can escape. You have you have Christian McCaffrey.
That's good.
Speaker 10 (01:59:46):
The defense actually, even after Bosa left before halftime, still
held up remarkably well.
Speaker 2 (01:59:53):
I think the team has what it takes. So forty
nine ers very well coached.
Speaker 4 (01:59:57):
They they are deep, but they got a ton of
injuries and they're they're an aging team.
Speaker 2 (02:00:01):
They are. But they also replenished a lot through the draft.
They had a ton of draft picks this past season,
so a lot of those players are playing already on
the defensive line and starting. I like their chances. Okay,
I think they're going to win the division. M M.
It's a long season.
Speaker 10 (02:00:17):
Let's let's see two big questions and and yes, we're
talking about football on a Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (02:00:24):
Yeah, but I got to put my picks in, so
I'm okay.
Speaker 10 (02:00:26):
So season wide, you're looking at when's Brandon are you
going to come back from his injury? Remember he's been out,
he's been the number one receiver. That is number one.
When's Juwan Jenning's going to be available at one hundred percent?
That's going to be question number two? And will he
be ready to play? Will he be psychologically ready to play?
Between the ears?
Speaker 2 (02:00:45):
Why?
Speaker 3 (02:00:46):
What's going on with him? Got some issues? The one
guy who fumbled the last few games. They said, he's
got to get out of his head. The guy from
the Ravens, you've got to get out of it's gonna
it's gonna.
Speaker 10 (02:00:58):
Be He even acknowledg Yeah, yeah, he said he doesn't
know what's going on.
Speaker 2 (02:01:02):
King Henry, Well, you.
Speaker 3 (02:01:04):
Know you have like a two hundred and fifty pounds
person coming and trying to knock a football out of
your hand. It's gonna happen once in a while. Well,
they're gonna get the better of you.
Speaker 2 (02:01:12):
Himself is like two hundred and fifty pounds.
Speaker 6 (02:01:14):
Yea.
Speaker 3 (02:01:15):
When you watch the way they did it, I mean,
you know, you come around like that. It's it's hard.
Speaker 2 (02:01:21):
They teach you that you have drills where you just
do that, You just whack, whack whack.
Speaker 3 (02:01:25):
What about the Eagles and the Buccaneers.
Speaker 2 (02:01:28):
They're both three, you know, and there are your Buccaneers.
Speaker 3 (02:01:30):
Right under my bucking hat. I just wish you'd pay
attention when I tell you every time, do you get it?
Speaker 2 (02:01:37):
I got it.
Speaker 10 (02:01:39):
I got it so much I didn't need to acknowledge it.
Speaker 3 (02:01:42):
But you didn't laugh.
Speaker 2 (02:01:43):
That's funny.
Speaker 3 (02:01:44):
The Buccaneers are all, oh, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:01:46):
It's so cool when people replace one word with buck.
Speaker 3 (02:01:50):
I saw a meme that was funny, and it was
a duck. It was a duck, and then it said,
dear auto correct, it's never duck. It's never duck.
Speaker 2 (02:01:59):
Yeah, it's ever heard duck because.
Speaker 3 (02:02:01):
It's always the upward.
Speaker 2 (02:02:04):
I get it. I didn't even need to put the
last part on there, but yeah, we get it. Yeah,
where's the game being played? I still like Philly. I
think they're starting to get an idea of the concept
offensively right, because they started kind of close concept a
little bit and open things up yet to get Hurts
(02:02:25):
more involved.
Speaker 4 (02:02:26):
I'm gonna go Philly. Yeah, I was telling Quinn this
back in my betting days. I'm still betting football, but
not like I used to do way back in the day.
But I had to put, uh, you know, restrictions on myself.
I had to be disciplined because there were some teams
that I just didn't get or didn't like, and obviously
and I was wrong. So therefore I just had to
(02:02:48):
just like, I can't put them in any bet, either
betting on them or against them. Philadelphia is one of
those teams for me. They're they're obviously very very good,
but I don't.
Speaker 2 (02:03:00):
I can't. I don't get it. No, you can't. Cowboys
same thing. You can't look at them. And I'm like,
I hate the cowboys so much I can't look at them.
What wait? What all for the cowboys? That's the word.
It's common knowledge.
Speaker 4 (02:03:16):
Everybody hates the cowboys except for the people that love them.
They are a huge, huge draw.
Speaker 3 (02:03:22):
We have a couple of listeners who show up in
all their cowboy gear when we're out and uh, we've
had a couple of different ones.
Speaker 2 (02:03:28):
But they are a disaster. They are you know, they
have Oh yeah, there's the point. We're supposed to feel
bad for you.
Speaker 4 (02:03:34):
They have the they're the most expensive franchise in the league,
like they're worth more than anybody else, but they can't.
They haven't played in an NFC championship game in thirty
some years and it's Dallas.
Speaker 2 (02:03:49):
How about them Cowboys? Yeah? Terrible, so terrible.
Speaker 3 (02:03:53):
Maybe they should change their Where are those Cowboys? Or
look at those cowboys? They suck something new? Not holp
aout them cowboys?
Speaker 2 (02:04:02):
Cowboys? What always?
Speaker 10 (02:04:03):
Jimmy Johnson, he said it that one year and that
was it. Just hung on for a year.
Speaker 2 (02:04:06):
That's the thing. Yeah, how about David Molly.
Speaker 3 (02:04:11):
What do that tonight? It'll be great.
Speaker 2 (02:04:14):
Oh yeah, and well you're two cowboy fans. They'll love it, like, hey,
I get that joke. Go cowboys. Oh.
Speaker 4 (02:04:22):
They want to know if Tart wants to know who
I'm picking in my elimination league. I don't know yet.
I'm in the elimination league. You know where you have
to pick it. He's gonna he's gonna stay explain, stay
stay alive. We're down to twenty eight teams, twenty or
twenty eight people.
Speaker 3 (02:04:39):
Okay, Yeah, start at forty forty two, I believe.
Speaker 2 (02:04:43):
And you probably used some heavy hitters right away, I
use Yeah, I used the probably the Chiefs have been
you know, didn't use the Chiefs. No, no, why.
Speaker 3 (02:04:51):
Don't you use my Lions?
Speaker 2 (02:04:52):
This week I might might use and they're playing the
Browns right yeah at Lion. Yeah, I'm probably use the Niners.
He's an opener. You probably used it.
Speaker 3 (02:05:02):
Use he is the Bills already.
Speaker 2 (02:05:04):
I used the Bills last week for the Thursday game.
But this week the Bills are a sixteen and a
half point favorite, the largest point spread in the NFL
in fifty years?
Speaker 7 (02:05:15):
What?
Speaker 2 (02:05:15):
Yeah, they're playing the Saints.
Speaker 3 (02:05:17):
What they're the spread? What all those years?
Speaker 2 (02:05:22):
What? People gamble? What? In New York? But so I can,
But I can't use Buffalo because I use them last week.
Speaker 3 (02:05:34):
So I say, used the Alliance. There's no way they're
going to let the Browns come in and hurt them,
No way.
Speaker 2 (02:05:41):
What do you got there?
Speaker 10 (02:05:42):
I was looking at the NFL headlines and then I
noticed the two last names they put right next to
each other for two quarterbacks?
Speaker 2 (02:05:49):
Are they trolling me right now? They?
Speaker 4 (02:05:52):
Maybe they know NFL Week four buzz what we're hearing
on Dart Pennix and the early tread date, trade.
Speaker 3 (02:05:59):
Deadline, talk your your phone listens to you.
Speaker 2 (02:06:03):
Jackson dark Jackson darks Jackson dark male quarterback, Jackson Dark
male quarterback. That was Frank Darvin, male prostitute. It was
SNL Yeah, Dana Ackroyd.
Speaker 4 (02:06:22):
When I used to do the prank phone calls way
back in the day, I would I would use the
name fred Garvin just because it was you know, it
was a funny name, and uh, you know, people that
were in on the joke would get it. If not,
it's just like, okay, he had to make up some name,
so it's a good name. Then it was Wallace Buckster
for a while. Wallace Buckster was that with an X
(02:06:42):
or C K K Okay, Yeah, then that's.
Speaker 2 (02:06:46):
That sounds real Buckster tell Buckster is online too. Uh
all right. We got to play the play the Showdown whatever.
Speaker 4 (02:06:57):
Showdown trivia competition question sixty second you should play sometime.
Speaker 2 (02:07:01):
I shouldn't be fun?
Speaker 3 (02:07:02):
He did?
Speaker 2 (02:07:03):
Played lost? I lost? Did you play me?
Speaker 10 (02:07:05):
Or there was one I was played as you you
were playing for your money and I represented you?
Speaker 3 (02:07:10):
So did you play against Quinn?
Speaker 2 (02:07:12):
No listener and he'd absolutely he's schooled.
Speaker 3 (02:07:16):
Oh that's right. It's actually and I.
Speaker 10 (02:07:18):
Met his family afterwards and reminded me how bad I
got crushed.
Speaker 3 (02:07:23):
Hang on a second, let me let me find it,
because it'll say it'll say, was it fred Garvin?
Speaker 2 (02:07:30):
Fred Garvin male prostitute.
Speaker 3 (02:07:33):
Let's see, Quinn and Ken played one time and that
didn't count. But where do we put? I know it
was when Dave was Dave was out when against Sam Adams,
it was Joe and it was on It was January
twenty eighth. So were you on vacation or were you sick?
Speaker 4 (02:07:53):
January twenty eighth been when you were sick? That might
have been when I was sick. Yeah, because you had just.
Speaker 2 (02:07:59):
Come back because you were here.
Speaker 3 (02:08:00):
You were here on the Monday and then we were there,
then you were gone the next You.
Speaker 2 (02:08:04):
Guys are like old married couple here. So January twenty
eight were you no? No? Because remember the time change happened,
and that's when I like to summer in trucky No
truck You know the cabin was closed on that date.
You know that? Well, we had the high school reunion
two weeks after that.
Speaker 3 (02:08:23):
I think I know no, because the Cadillac was down
and we had to borrow Jim's Cardigo.
Speaker 2 (02:08:29):
Anyways, it heard from Jim lately.
Speaker 3 (02:08:33):
What kind of shirt were you wearing?
Speaker 2 (02:08:35):
No, I remember, because I loved you in that shirt.
But then you gave it to good Will. You know
they're opening a new good Will down there on Trent.
They are a good Will will Trent.
Speaker 3 (02:08:49):
We do listen, we do have. So that day I
think here's what happened. You came into work, you were
feeling bad. Lee played you, but you beat him, okay,
and then you were gone. And then there was the
next day and then I made you play and you
you lost to Joe.
Speaker 2 (02:09:07):
Someday I would like Quinn and.
Speaker 3 (02:09:10):
Luke played against each other. And then the next the Thursday,
I said, we're not doing this anymore because you know
there's no Dave. It's called Dave's cast Showdown.
Speaker 2 (02:09:19):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 3 (02:09:20):
When it was the three of us, Ken would fill in,
and then a couple of times I filled it. But
then and then we didn't play at all.
Speaker 10 (02:09:27):
On the Friday, Could I call sometime and go in
the showdown against Dave?
Speaker 3 (02:09:30):
Yes, you could. You don't have to call. You can
do it right here. We'll make him leave. You want
to do it today? You used to do it right now?
Speaker 2 (02:09:37):
Do you want to call You don't have to call Sam,
you can just be in well, I want to. I
don't want special treatment. No, it's not specially special. I'll
make your treatment special.
Speaker 3 (02:09:49):
See if anybody wants to play, Nah, never mind, I
don't like it. Well, you can win money.
Speaker 2 (02:09:54):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (02:09:55):
You can win money. I always have. I always have
a special question that's worth five bucks. And if you
get that, if either of you get it, then you
get the five bucks.
Speaker 2 (02:10:04):
Can can we do it?
Speaker 3 (02:10:05):
Do you want?
Speaker 2 (02:10:06):
And I just want to be clear, so we have
we're a dollar.
Speaker 4 (02:10:10):
I'm risking a dollar to win one hundred with Mallel, yes,
and I'm risking five dollars to win fifty with s yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:10:16):
Can.
Speaker 2 (02:10:16):
I just't want this on the record. No kahoots from
either of us, No, no cahoots.
Speaker 10 (02:10:20):
No, no, I won't even send any subliminal messages to
collide downstairs.
Speaker 2 (02:10:26):
Nothing. Okay, Wait, you giving me a look like you're
gonna you're gonna coohoot. I won't kohoot. I will, I
mean I might just you know see what. No tampering,
no tamperary tampering, yes.
Speaker 3 (02:10:41):
And no no collusions no tampering.
Speaker 2 (02:10:44):
No, what am I going to do?
Speaker 3 (02:10:46):
Like?
Speaker 2 (02:10:46):
What what? What's you could give her half the pro
do you go like twenty five bucks? Call if you
show up, Actually seventy five dollars because you've got one
hundred bucks coming from Molly to.
Speaker 3 (02:10:58):
See. That's that's the only thing that he was going
to send a car for her yesterday.
Speaker 2 (02:11:02):
No, that got blown out of reports.
Speaker 3 (02:11:04):
He said, I'll uber you there.
Speaker 2 (02:11:07):
That is a car and it's sent to her.
Speaker 3 (02:11:09):
You would send a car, you have fifty dollars ride
from where she lives.
Speaker 2 (02:11:12):
I'll allow it. Judge Adams has ruled.
Speaker 3 (02:11:20):
So does somebody want to play the game or do
you want sand to play?
Speaker 2 (02:11:23):

a minute and answer ten. Dave comes in and answers
in again.
Speaker 1 (02:11:53):
If inferior and Davil range superior, it's time to play.
Speaker 2 (02:12:02):
Dave's Showdown.
Speaker 3 (02:12:04):
Yes it is. Are you sure you have enough time?
All right? I have marked one of these questions and
it's worth five dollars. If one or both of you
get that particular question, you instantly win five dollars.
Speaker 11 (02:12:16):
And I have it.
Speaker 3 (02:12:18):
I have the dollars left from the yard saleh I'm
like a stripper. I have a big wad of I
love it. Okay, you ready to throw down on the
show down?
Speaker 2 (02:12:25):

Speaker 3 (02:12:26):
And well I just get through all ten questions. We
don't have a timer anymore. Oh yeah, okay, all right,
you ready go down the showdown? All right? Here we go.
What is the alternate name or alternative name for scallions?
Speaker 2 (02:12:38):

Speaker 3 (02:12:41):
I don't know what rapper performs at Mitchellpalooza in the
movie Old School, you're just doing the old I can't
believe you're playing rapper. Yeah. Remember he hires the rapper
and he's there.
Speaker 2 (02:12:55):
I'm gonna save Limp Biscuit.
Speaker 3 (02:12:57):
That's not a rapper. You just watched that one Okay.
What is the name of the US President's official guesthouse?
Speaker 8 (02:13:05):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (02:13:06):
Is that the Lincoln Room?
Speaker 3 (02:13:09):
What is the guest house? It's a house separate, but
that's not cam David. Okay, no, no, it's a guest house.
Like if you go to the White House and they're like,
you can't stay in the White House. You can stay
in the guest house. We call it the something House. Okay.
What is a group of parrots called?
Speaker 2 (02:13:24):
Oh my gosh, I'm getting killed here, but I know
that's geese.
Speaker 3 (02:13:28):
What red stripe beer originated from? What island country, Jamaica? Okay?
On thet on what mountain? Does Moses speak to God
through a burning bush and receive the Ten Commandments?
Speaker 2 (02:13:42):
Oh? My gosh, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:13:44):
Oh right?
Speaker 2 (02:13:45):
What animals? I'm not doing well?
Speaker 3 (02:13:47):
What animal's tail? Tail hairs are traditionally used to make
a violin bow. Think of an animal? Very good? What
TV Family? He had a road manager named Ruben Kincaid.
Speaker 2 (02:14:03):
Say again, David's distraction.
Speaker 3 (02:14:05):
But TV Family had a road manager named Ruben Kincaid,
The Partridge Family. What viral dance craze took over the
internet in twenty twelve, featuring a horse riding dance move.
Speaker 2 (02:14:19):
Oh wait, she's gaged himself.
Speaker 3 (02:14:24):
Yes, and finally, what is the steaming bubbling bowl that
witches brew their spells in a cauldron? Okay, right, okay,
now he can come back. I can't believe. I can't
believe you missed the old school one. I'm shocked. Were
you were just doing the dart thing?
Speaker 2 (02:14:42):
There's a door, but there's a rapper in that.
Speaker 3 (02:14:46):
Yeah, he hires the rapper and he does a whole show.
Remember you'll know when I say it.
Speaker 2 (02:14:54):
Okay, Dave, I don't feel confident.
Speaker 3 (02:14:56):
He didn't get the five dollars I'll tell you that.
Speaker 2 (02:14:58):
Oh just a five dollar question.
Speaker 3 (02:14:59):
Yeah, there's five dollars question. And he did not identify that.
Speaker 2 (02:15:02):
All I saw there was dancing going on in here
you were, and I was gone for the normal amount
of time, So no.
Speaker 6 (02:15:10):
She was.
Speaker 10 (02:15:10):
That was after all the questions were done. Molly was
dancing in celebration of how awesome I did.
Speaker 2 (02:15:15):
She was.
Speaker 10 (02:15:15):
She she felt some people need to break out and
song and dance, and she broke out in a very
illustrative dance and celebration of how well I didn't, Right, Molly, Yes,
my thing was?
Speaker 2 (02:15:27):
It just seems like that he was given a lot
of time to answer the questions. Yeah he was, okay, but.
Speaker 3 (02:15:32):
So will you be all right?
Speaker 2 (02:15:33):
Fair enough?
Speaker 3 (02:15:33):
We always do it fair all right?
Speaker 2 (02:15:35):
I trying to play ten questions for me? Here we go.
Speaker 3 (02:15:37):
What is the alternate name of scallions? Uh?
Speaker 2 (02:15:44):
Pirate?
Speaker 3 (02:15:45):
What rapper performs at Mitchapalooza in the movie Old School?
Speaker 2 (02:15:53):
I don't know that either. Oh that was right up
your alley.
Speaker 3 (02:15:55):
Thought you would think. What as the name of the
US presidential's official guesthouse?
Speaker 2 (02:16:07):
What is happening here? I don't know any of these?
Speaker 3 (02:16:09):
What is a group of parrots called this is your
five dollars question? A flock red striped beer originated from
what island country, Jamaica? On what mountain does Moses speak
to God through the burning bush to receive the Ten Commandments?
Speaker 2 (02:16:26):
Mount SINAI?
Speaker 3 (02:16:30):
What animal hair tail hairs are typically used for making
violin bows? They're tail hairs. They're long. I gave him
this clue.
Speaker 2 (02:16:44):
They're long a horse.
Speaker 3 (02:16:47):
What TV family had a road manager named Reuben Kincaid?
The Partridge Family, which viral dance craze took over the
Internet in twenty twelve, featuring a horse riding.
Speaker 2 (02:16:58):
Oh that was a dingram style. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:17:00):
And what is the steaming bubbling bowl that brew? Which
is brew their spells in cauldron? Oh my goodness, you
guys matched up pretty well except for one.
Speaker 2 (02:17:12):
Those first three were crazy.
Speaker 3 (02:17:14):
I don't know they but when you hear them, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:17:19):
Dave, you and I were in the same boat there
really first.
Speaker 3 (02:17:22):
Yes, you guys missed the first four. Both of you
missed the first four. Final score Dave one six to five.
Speaker 2 (02:17:30):
Close, so close, we're shaking up.
Speaker 3 (02:17:35):
We were shaking out, very gentlemanly. I bet you other
people know. Okay, let's see, all right, Scallions are onions.
They're green onions.
Speaker 10 (02:17:43):
Oh and I know this because I actually cooked once
and as good. The recipe calls for scallions. What are
these and they're basically green onions?
Speaker 3 (02:17:50):
Green or spring onions or could?
Speaker 2 (02:17:55):
I didn't want to God didn't make little scallions.
Speaker 5 (02:17:58):
And don't your scallions board you're thinking of scalli Yes,
I was there a giant scallion if.
Speaker 3 (02:18:09):
That Mitchell blues it was Snoop dogg. Okay, Snoop Dog comes.
I just rewatched it. That's the only reason I know
the Blair House is the guest house.
Speaker 2 (02:18:18):
Yes, I did not know that.
Speaker 3 (02:18:19):
And the five dollars question today, My five dollars is safe. Oh,
Brian knew the Blair House. Green Onions, pandemonium A group
of pirates are a parrots are called a pandemonium.
Speaker 2 (02:18:32):
Pandemonium of parrots.
Speaker 3 (02:18:34):
Yes, I like to use that sort of fun. Dave
new Mount Sina, I'm very good. And then you both
got horse Partridge family, Gangham style and cauldron.
Speaker 2 (02:18:44):
We heat it up at the end. I feel like it.
Speaker 10 (02:18:46):
Just honestly, Molly, if I could give you some notes
on this, sure, I love it. You line up with
a confidence builder and.
Speaker 3 (02:18:54):
Did with Green Onion. One was a gimme, you guys,
that was an easy one.
Speaker 2 (02:18:57):
That was a gimme, not for us.
Speaker 3 (02:19:00):
How about the old school and you're the perfect.
Speaker 2 (02:19:02):
You were just talking about old school. I would have gone,
I have selective memory about movies. Yeah, yeah, only certain scenes.
Speaker 3 (02:19:09):
Yeah, boy, Shelley, Shelley got it. Green Onion, Snoop, Jamaica, Sinai,
horse Partridge, Gangham style, cauldron, nice.
Speaker 2 (02:19:17):
Job, nice work.
Speaker 3 (02:19:19):
Yeah, well yeah, this needs to be Sam splaye. Trevor's
asking you to Sam splaine. Oh, Dave one six to five?
Can you Sam splain that to us?
Speaker 5 (02:19:28):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (02:19:28):
So there were ten questions dress Trevor, this is the Trevor,
but anybody who happens to be listening right now. So
we ask a series of ten questions in order and
a we keep track of how many you get right,
and we compare them side to side. In this case,
Dave got six and I got five. So final score
(02:19:50):
Dave six to five.
Speaker 3 (02:19:53):
And apparently I need to give a warm up question
at the beginning to give people confidence.
Speaker 2 (02:19:57):
Yeah, just a little bit, because then we start sweaty.
Speaker 3 (02:20:01):
I didn't know that would be I figured, honestly, the
scallions I thought was but the Blairhouse, I thought. I
thought that was something that you would know. I wouldn't
know it, but it seemed like something I knew, the
pandemoni And that was an impossible one five dollars, like
I would.
Speaker 10 (02:20:17):
Think, like, where's the presidential retreat for times for reflection
or negotiations for international treaties? Yes, exactly, can't date named
after David's spaziito.
Speaker 3 (02:20:31):
Yeah, I did people know that?
Speaker 2 (02:20:32):
Well? I did. We're one to one, Yes, what do
we have for Sam? Just for playing the game.
Speaker 3 (02:20:38):
Oh my gosh, congratulations from our friends at America Credit Union,
proud sponsor of Dave's cash showdown.
Speaker 2 (02:20:43):
America Credit Union the only credit union that is actually
in the Blairhouse. Yeah, it's true.
Speaker 4 (02:20:48):
Not a lot of people know this, but in New
America was right there in the White House. In fact,
a lot of people are very you know, happy that
Numerica is part of America, the great country that we
live in. And that's knows no borders they go because
anyway they go everywhere and everywhere and uh and they
are the number one credit union of all parrots and true, Yeah,
(02:21:11):
they use their beaks to hit the button and it's
funny so they you know, they'll check in and they'll
get their money out. But they can use their their beak,
whether it's one parrot or a pandemonium of parrots. Either way,
Numerica Credit Union should be your credit union.
Speaker 10 (02:21:26):
And Dave, if I may add real quick, is it
true that perhaps the root word pandemonium was actually because
of Numerica's uh interactions with parrots, that they love their
service so much that there was absolute utter pandemonium.
Speaker 2 (02:21:40):
That is that is true, and not a lot of
people know that, but that that is true. So you've
been read up on five.
Speaker 3 (02:21:46):
Free cups of Dutch love from Spokane's Dutch Bros. I'm
going to hand you a Dutch Bros. Card before you
leave here.
Speaker 2 (02:21:53):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (02:21:54):
Yeah all right, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:21:55):
Well thank you thanks for having me. Okay, right, see
the party? Oh can I quote? Can I do an
Arnold Schwartzenegger impression that people will want to see what
the boys? All right, total recall.
Speaker 3 (02:22:13):
Okay, don't leave yet, we want to. I have to
get you your prize, so don't leave yet.
Speaker 2 (02:22:16):
We're going to sign off first, which should I stam
explaining the the party?
Speaker 4 (02:22:20):
Richter, All right, well we're back after this break. This
is the David Molly Show Live from the Numerica Studios.
Speaker 1 (02:22:32):
We now return to the Dave and Molly Show Live
from the Numerica Studios.
Speaker 2 (02:22:38):
Oh, we're back all right.
Speaker 4 (02:22:39):
Uh it's anniversary day, It's anniversary week. We have our
big event tonight at Maryhill Winery. We hope everybody can
come and say hello and be wonderful. Yes, five to
seven mary Hill in kinder Yards.
Speaker 3 (02:22:53):
Yes, be there or be square as the kids used
to say.
Speaker 4 (02:22:57):
Yep, we have entertainment We have hot topics coming up
here in just a bit. But first, yeah, ready for
fun facts? Yes, okay, here's how fun facts works. I
have a series of and there's a shorter segment today,
so your chances are better. I have a series of
true statements. I'll read them. I have mixed in a
(02:23:17):
fake fun fact. Your job, and the job for all
Texters that want to play, is to identify the fake
fun fact.
Speaker 2 (02:23:24):
What is the only rule for fun facts?
Speaker 3 (02:23:26):
No googling, right, don't cheat, no cheating. If there's something
you know to be true, then that's honest. Like if
you were just saying, hey, I know that that last
fun fact is for sure true. You can text that
in that helps us eliminate you. But be certain. But yeah,
no googling, please, right, please don't want that?
Speaker 4 (02:23:45):
Yeah, all right, let's begin the fun facts segment here.
All right, Marvin Gardens on the Monopoly board has always
been misspelled. The actual neighborhood in New Jersey is spelled
m r v E N, but in Monopoly it's m
(02:24:07):
r v I N. Yes, Parker Brothers apologize for the
mistake back in nineteen ninety five.
Speaker 3 (02:24:14):
That just left it anyway, Okay, just.
Speaker 4 (02:24:21):
Under two percent of Chinese women smoke tobacco, while over
forty four percent of Chinese men do.
Speaker 7 (02:24:29):
Ooh.
Speaker 4 (02:24:34):
Female armadillos almost always give birth to identical quadruplets. What
a full size NBA basketball court can easily fit inside
a soccer penalty box?
Speaker 3 (02:24:57):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (02:25:01):
Ping pong was trademarked by Parker Brothers, which enforced it
back in the nineteen twenties. So for the past fifty years,
the US mark has always been owned and licensed by
a sporting goods company called Escalade Sports. The generic term
that you're supposed to use for the game is table tennis.
Speaker 2 (02:25:24):
Oh, what.
Speaker 3 (02:25:29):
When they do the Olympics, what do they call it?
Speaker 2 (02:25:33):
Probably table tennis, do they?
Speaker 3 (02:25:36):
And now back to the table tennis quarterfinals? No, they
call it ping pong. Maybe I'm thinking Batman.
Speaker 4 (02:25:44):
Huey Lewis got a perfect score on the math portion
of the SAT What. Abraham Lincoln was the first historical
figure to appear on circular on a circulating US coin
when pennies were redesigned in nineteen oh nine in honor
(02:26:07):
of what would have been his one hundredth birthday.
Speaker 11 (02:26:11):
But I made it so no other birthdays were about
to happen. You have centibrated enough birthday, sir, I am
against everything you believe.
Speaker 3 (02:26:22):
Go ahead, watch the play. Just go ahead and watch it.
Speaker 11 (02:26:25):
Act as if nothing's about to happen at natur Oh,
I have to jump off of the balcony. Ouch, I've
broken my leg out. I'm hobbling off.
Speaker 2 (02:26:35):
John Wolkes Booth. The dates four four sixty six, eight, eight, ten, ten,
and twelve twelve.
Speaker 4 (02:26:45):
Yeah, all fall on the same day of the week
every year. This year they're all on a Friday. Next
year they'll all be on a Saturday.
Speaker 3 (02:26:55):
Four four sixty six, eight, eight, twelve.
Speaker 2 (02:26:57):
Twelve, eight, eight, ten, ten, twelve twelve.
Speaker 3 (02:27:00):
Oh, the evens except for two. I see you've left
that off. That's too hard to figure out.
Speaker 4 (02:27:09):
The chemical compounds that cause a skunk smell in old beer, yeah,
are the same compounds that actual skunks have in their spray.
Speaker 3 (02:27:28):
All right.
Speaker 4 (02:27:31):
People search for large boobs on porn Hub ten times
more than small boobs.
Speaker 3 (02:27:44):
Why would that be on there?
Speaker 2 (02:27:46):
We're all fun facts.
Speaker 3 (02:27:48):
That's an extra fun fact.
Speaker 4 (02:27:52):
There are at least three animals that have sex for
pleasure and not just to reproduce humans.
Speaker 3 (02:28:02):
Dolphosins and gorillas.
Speaker 2 (02:28:05):
Bonobos? Is that how you saying bonobos?
Speaker 3 (02:28:10):
Is that a type of gorilla?
Speaker 2 (02:28:11):
I think so. It's in the monkey family.
Speaker 3 (02:28:16):
Okay, I'm just going to believe that.
Speaker 2 (02:28:18):
Okay, good.
Speaker 4 (02:28:23):
There was an episode of Scrubs back in two thousand
and two where Zach Braff and Sarah Kulk's characters went
bungee jumping. They had stunt doubles do the jump. Their
stunt doubles met on the set that day and wound
up getting married. Based on the average life expectancy in
(02:28:51):
the US, if you are eighteen years old, you only
have about three thousand, one hundred and sixty weekends left
in your life.
Speaker 2 (02:29:02):
If you're forty, you have twenty one hundred and fifteen.
Speaker 3 (02:29:08):
Is that one where you're gonna go, No, you only
have two thousand and ten. That's not the fun fact, okay.
Speaker 4 (02:29:18):
Age Two actors from Better Call Saul appear in both
Spinal Tap movies, Michael McKeon and Ed Begley Junior. Ed
is in a flashback in the new Spinal Tap movie,
just like he was a flashback in the first one
(02:29:42):
and the last of our fun facts.
Speaker 3 (02:29:44):
Oh that is a shortlist today.
Speaker 4 (02:29:46):
Over two hundred people die from spider bites every year
in the United States, But last year six hundred and
seventeen people were killed by cows.
Speaker 3 (02:30:00):
Oh more cow, more cows than okay, than spiders. If
you are lame enough to get killed by a cow,
I mean, what are you doing? What are you doing
to the cow? It's probably like six one hundred.
Speaker 2 (02:30:16):
And fifteen people were lame according to you.
Speaker 3 (02:30:19):
Well, I'm saying I'm guessing this traffic incidents. They hit
a cow or something and that's how they I don't
think that many people are going up to a cow
going hey cow, Hey, hey cow, and then you're dead.
Speaker 2 (02:30:32):
That's quite a reenactment.
Speaker 3 (02:30:34):
Well, I mean, unless you're trying to tip them and
then they get pissed and then somebody else comes. I
can see you get trampled if you're out.
Speaker 2 (02:30:42):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (02:30:43):
That's a hard one. Okay.
Speaker 2 (02:30:45):
Let me look, only one of those is fake. Your
job is to identify the fake. Fun fact.
Speaker 4 (02:30:51):
I circled one the text line always opened, the Dutch Bros.
Text line five O nine four four eight three two
three seven. Your job an only one of those is fake?
Speaker 3 (02:31:04):
Okay. I have a couple of thoughts. The Huey Lewis
one sounds well, okay. The smoking one seems like you could.
That's one that you'd completely make it up and then
you'd just say, well, yeah, they put on there that
you know, forty five percent of people smoke in China,
(02:31:27):
and then I just added that it's only two percent
of women, because that's what I do. There's that. There's
also this Huey Lewis situation, a perfect score that seems
I'm unlikely, but it could happen. The skunk smell having
the same things chemical compounds, chemical compounds as the smell
(02:31:50):
of the skunk in the beer. No. And then this
bungee situation, so they're doing scrubs like we have to
go bude jumping. Oh are you the stunt double for
oh me too? Oh Hi? I like you want to
lay on me? Okay, let's be together forever.
Speaker 2 (02:32:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:32:10):
Those are the four that I have circled. Right now,
people are starting to wait in.
Speaker 2 (02:32:19):
Mollie's going with the age and weekends left.
Speaker 3 (02:32:22):
That sounds to uh.
Speaker 2 (02:32:24):
Trevor says he's going with Ping pong. Curtis says, spider
bit I think is a fake fun fact.
Speaker 3 (02:32:33):
Spider bite yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:32:35):
Or spider. Oh yeah, misspelling.
Speaker 4 (02:32:39):
Paul says, I say the smoking one is the fake
fun fact. Jesse says the stunt double being married is fake.
Regina says the beer and the skunk.
Speaker 3 (02:32:50):
Paula sends, that's a skunk emojikunk yeah uh oh is true.
Mouth wizard for a son, Molly says, and he knows
this to be true. Okay, Oh, Tammy, either the boob size,
(02:33:10):
because boobs are boobs regardless, or skunk smell, otherwise people
would be licking skunks. Yeah, I don't think that guys
think all boobs are boobs. I'm Tammy. I think we'd
like it as women feel that way. But I do
believe that they differentiate boobs are boobs much like we
(02:33:32):
do for them. So rest my case, right. Natasha says,
big hub uh oh boobs.
Speaker 2 (02:33:40):
I think.
Speaker 3 (02:33:43):
I think Oh, she said that the boobs when she
thinks that number is higher.
Speaker 2 (02:33:49):
Even higher than ten times more.
Speaker 3 (02:33:51):
We have scrubs from Jenna, spider bites from Hannah.
Speaker 2 (02:33:58):
Are you locking in?
Speaker 3 (02:33:59):
I'm locking in? Okay, I'm going with skunk beer skunk.
I don't think the skunk properties the the what did
you call them?
Speaker 2 (02:34:06):
Chemical compounds compounds.
Speaker 3 (02:34:09):
I don't think that's true. Anybody else went away in before.
Speaker 4 (02:34:17):
Let's see Jenna says the scrubs one. Hannah says, spider bite.
Speaker 2 (02:34:24):
We'll do one ten more seconds and we're going to
shut it down. The fake fun fact has has been identified, yes,
but only on the text line.
Speaker 3 (02:34:44):
Damn you is it the boobs?
Speaker 2 (02:34:45):
Nope, smoking, nope, stunt double nope.
Speaker 3 (02:34:52):
Because I said that one too.
Speaker 2 (02:34:54):
Spider bites, spider bites fake, fake, fake?
Speaker 3 (02:34:57):
Which part is it? The cow thing that I all
of it is fake?
Speaker 4 (02:35:02):
You h On average seven people die from spider bites
every year in the year in the United States. Seven Okay,
I said it was over two hundred and less than
one hundred people are killed by cows. And I said
that last year six hundred and seventeen people were killed
(02:35:24):
by cows.
Speaker 2 (02:35:26):
Because I had a real number and fake number.
Speaker 3 (02:35:28):
Yet fake.
Speaker 2 (02:35:31):
That's the only fake one. Everything else was real. Huey
Lewis did have a perfect score on the math portion
of the S A T.
Speaker 3 (02:35:37):
And there are chemical properties in the beer.
Speaker 4 (02:35:40):
Let me read it exactly as it sounds. Yeah, the
scrub stunt double thing. They ended up getting a divorce,
but they were married.
Speaker 2 (02:35:51):
Did you hear that? Moly, did you hear it?
Speaker 6 (02:35:57):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (02:35:57):
Shoot, anyway, trust me, that was Oh here it is.
The chemical compounds that cause a skunk smell in old
beer are the same compounds that actual skunks have in
their spray.
Speaker 2 (02:36:14):
True.
Speaker 3 (02:36:14):
Wow, Okay, all right, then I guess they stand corrected.
Speaker 2 (02:36:20):
And that's how we play fun facts. They were fun
in factual.
Speaker 3 (02:36:24):
Right, Yes, this is three weeks in a row. I
think that you've got me last, but this today.
Speaker 2 (02:36:31):
At least multiple people had it on the text line.
That's true, so it didn't fool everybody, no, but but
pretty good full fooled enough, I guess.
Speaker 3 (02:36:40):
Yes, nice work.
Speaker 4 (02:36:42):
All right, Well, in the nine o'clock hour, we'll have
our hot topic segment and a quick reminder to join
us at Maryhill Winery. Tonight is the night for the
one year anniversary celebration party. Yes, because yesterday was the
official one year anniversary. We started on September twenty third
of last year. But tonight it's kind of kind of
(02:37:02):
the middle of the week and it's anniversary week, so
let's go with a Wednesday. And Wednesdays also protect us
because if we did this on a Friday or Saturday.
You know it's just going to total debacle. Yeah, you know,
people going crazy and using their minds and getting tanked. Yes,
this will because it's the middle of the week. We
have to be good to ourselves. So there's not going
to be a high level of tankiness.
Speaker 3 (02:37:24):
Right, low tank factor, low tank We lowered the tank level,
we brought we rolled it back. You started the week
saying it was going to be a full on tanking.
You did. You said, Oh, I'll be a mess, I'm
going to be a wreck, I'm going to be this,
I'm going to be that. Then yesterday you fell ill
as I did. I think we kind of are in
the same boat where we're just feeling not completely.
Speaker 2 (02:37:45):
But I'm on a tremendous comeback. Okay, well maybe then,
but I'm still not going to go too crazy. Okay,
I'll get a good buzz going tonight.
Speaker 3 (02:37:52):
We'll see, well, i'll see. If I drink too much wine,
I will feel horrible just wine. Not I mean, I
can drink a lot of other stuff, but too much
of just the wine, I will feel terrible tomorrow. So
I have to be careful, be careful, be careful.
Speaker 4 (02:38:08):
Yes, all right, we'll get to all that and more
when we continue. The David Molly Show is live from
the Numerica Studios.
Speaker 7 (02:38:18):
Winning a new GMC Canyon at Northern Quest is not
without its drawbacks, like jealous neighbors, unsolicited questions about towing capacity,
and sudden requests to help move a couch really quick.
But something tells us you'll get over it. It's a
Northern Quest one hundred and sixty thousand dollars Grander Canyon giveaway.
Don't miss the grand prize drawing this Monday with Dave
(02:38:41):
Kennon Molly plus our Canyon Tailgate pre party with food
and drink specials starting at too only at Northern.
Speaker 1 (02:38:46):
Quest Hot Topics brought to you by Clark's Tire and
Automotive Center.
Speaker 2 (02:38:56):
Ready for Hot Topics. Before we have Hot Topics, you
have a major announcement.
Speaker 3 (02:39:00):
So when I say things, I mean I'm firm on
right and I have opinions and so on. Are the
some of the things like what do I hate Pepper?
Speaker 2 (02:39:10):
Right?
Speaker 3 (02:39:11):
That's never gonna change? What else did I not like?
But I softened on and came.
Speaker 2 (02:39:15):
Around the movie Kingpin?
Speaker 3 (02:39:18):
Yeah? And then the band the radiohead.
Speaker 2 (02:39:21):
Band alreadid right?
Speaker 3 (02:39:24):
So what's the song, what's my least favorite one of
my least favorite songs?
Speaker 2 (02:39:27):
Running up that Hill? Well?
Speaker 3 (02:39:29):
That and what did my boyfriend perform in front of
a huge audience.
Speaker 2 (02:39:34):
Oh uh huh yeah, so I have to say, oh
my gosh, this is gonna be good.
Speaker 3 (02:39:43):
You guys, I don't hate that song anymore. And here's
why I was watching the Billy Joel thing. And what
I realize is that when you go through all of
his albums that what he's trying to do as an
homage to fifties like and when when he says that
(02:40:04):
was sort of an homage to the who are the guys?
The Jersey boy guys?
Speaker 2 (02:40:10):
Four Seasons, Valley and Seasons Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:40:13):
And then I start thinking about the harmonies and all
the stuff, and then he and Christie Brinkley and that
he was so excited he couldn't believe that she was
his girlfriend and all of that. I came around a little.
Speaker 2 (02:40:25):
That is fantastic. That is the best news I've heard today.
Speaker 3 (02:40:29):
And the video when I realized she is so beautiful,
but she can't dance. She's not they're both not good dancers,
but because she's so tall, it's really obvious you know,
but she was look beautiful then thayings.
Speaker 4 (02:40:41):
She's still in a garage. Yeah, it was like a
car auto shop or something.
Speaker 3 (02:40:46):
Yeah, and she's in it. She's got a big hat
on and yeah and so. And he really did not
like making videos that but he became really good at it.
That became a thing. He had a partner who he
worked with. So I am here to announce on this
the twenty fourth day of September twenty twenty five that
I don't hate Reptown Girl anymore. Okay, Now, that does
(02:41:12):
not mean that my boyfriend has permission to sing it
in front of people enthusiastically when he's tanked. Not good
Reptown Girl. So there's my problemation.
Speaker 4 (02:41:27):
And I'm glad you said that because it was never
like one of my all time favorite songs.
Speaker 2 (02:41:32):
But I never like hated it hated it.
Speaker 5 (02:41:35):
No.
Speaker 2 (02:41:35):
I was thought, that's just kind of a fun song.
It was kind of a you know I put it.
Speaker 4 (02:41:40):
I don't put it in the same category as the
like the hallan Oats stuff, you know, right, No, it's different.
This is another conversation that got into a weekend or
so ago about Hall and Oates because they had these
incredibly great songs, and then they had this private eyes
They're watching you and all that, and.
Speaker 2 (02:42:01):
You're the kiss on my list.
Speaker 4 (02:42:04):
I just thought, you guys are ruining your thing because
it was overly done pop. You could say the same
for the Billy Joel and the Uptown Girl, but I
keep I'm putting those in separate categories.
Speaker 3 (02:42:18):
Well, and he had the same on that same album,
tell her you love her, you know, tell her about
it and all that. That was all that kind of music,
which is not my favorite of his. It's kind of
like Elton John with I'm Still Standing and I love
Elton John and I love his music. That song, I
just it's an outlier song.
Speaker 2 (02:42:39):
And with you on thathe yeah, I don't think that's
his best work.
Speaker 3 (02:42:42):
No, But then when you get into the world and
you're really watching how I mean. Billy Joel wrote the
lyrics to every single song he had on his albums.
It's amazing what he's been able to do. And then
he wrote not a symphony, but he was classically trained,
and he wrote it's called something an Illusions. It's an
(02:43:06):
all piano album, but he didn't play it. He got
a classically trained pianist, so even though he could write it,
he didn't have the chops to play it. And the
guys on the documentary he said, it's like, what did
he say? He said, it's like having a rapper do
country music or a country music do a rap. He said,
(02:43:26):
we're different kinds of artists. I'm a different kind of
piano player and my playing is more appropriate for this,
and so he he and Elton both are classically trained
and you know, can read, you do all that stuff.
So anyway, that's my statement to Okay, I'm glad you
made the statement. We have to grow and evolved, Dave,
and we have to admit when we're rure.
Speaker 4 (02:43:48):
I'm sorry, I didn't hear what you said. We're run
We're having a hard time saying that you're wrong. Yes,
birthdays today a Nia Vardolas remember her? This shoot my
big fat Greek wed. Oh of course she's sixty three today.
Speaker 3 (02:44:05):
Oh wow?
Speaker 2 (02:44:06):
Mean Joe Green still with us? Still with us? Oh?
Speaker 3 (02:44:09):
Remember when he got a coke? Yeah, it made him happy.
Speaker 4 (02:44:13):
He go through the jersey to the kid. Yeah, he
was a Pittsburgh Steeler legend in the Hall of Fame.
He's seventy nine today. Oh jeez, the late great Phil Hartman. Oh,
this would have been his birthday.
Speaker 3 (02:44:27):
That's so sad.
Speaker 4 (02:44:29):
Lynda McCartney, yes, would have been would have been. Yeah,
she passed away in nineteen eighty eight.
Speaker 2 (02:44:37):
And Jim Henson, the Muppet guy, Yeah, this would have
been his birthday.
Speaker 1 (02:44:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:44:43):
And he we we always tell his story about how
he died. He was, here's a workaholic, and he loved
what he did. He loved working with his muppets and
that was his thing. And he was you know, he
had pneumonia. He didn't realize it was pneumonia and thought
he could power through. And by the time he you know,
you don't mess around with pneumonia.
Speaker 3 (02:45:03):
I was just rewatching eight Mile and Brittany Murphy. Brittany
Murphy was in that. She's the one that was the
voice on She was in eight Mile and she was
the voice of on Propine and propiet accessories that.
Speaker 2 (02:45:20):
Oh Family or No King of the Hill.
Speaker 3 (02:45:23):
Yes, And she died of pneumonia two.
Speaker 2 (02:45:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:45:26):
They said there were other complicating factors with her maybe,
but that was the cause was pneumonia. That she same thing,
got really sick, didn't do anything about it. She was young,
she was really good. She was great. Inn eight mile. Yeah,
she was good in all this stuff. So that just
proves you got to take care of yourself.
Speaker 2 (02:45:46):
Yeap pneumonia.
Speaker 4 (02:45:48):
Yeah, two hundred and thirty six years ago. Today, the
year is seventeen eighty nine. The first Supreme Court was established, Oh,
with six.
Speaker 2 (02:45:59):
Justices.
Speaker 3 (02:46:00):
To make any sense that you're going to have the.
Speaker 4 (02:46:01):
Evener advertise, Yeah, they were all nominated by George Washington.
It wasn't until eighteen sixty nine that Congress set the
number of justices to nine, which is what we still
have today.
Speaker 3 (02:46:15):
Right, got to have an uneven number.
Speaker 4 (02:46:20):
And the more of the bad. I think nine is
actually perfect. Yeah, I think they got that right.
Speaker 3 (02:46:27):
I am very interested because they have leanings, you know,
and there's a little more conservative on the now than
there has been in the past. But when they do
what do they call them, not rebuttals, but they do oh.
Speaker 2 (02:46:41):
The losing I know what you mean for descent, the
minority thing.
Speaker 3 (02:46:47):
Yeah, I just I mean, these are people who have
been around this a long time. But when they dig
into the law and start stating their case from blah
blah blah, I'm away by it. And some of it
is hard to follow, but when it comes down to it,
they have made a really good argument, of course, for
(02:47:09):
their standings in it and what this might mean for
the future. They do it on both sides, but I
find an interests descending. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what
you're talking about.
Speaker 4 (02:47:19):
Yeah, I was fifty seven years ago today. The year
is nineteen sixty eight, the debut of sixty Minutes. Oh,
Harry Reisner and Mike Wallace.
Speaker 2 (02:47:31):
Nice, we're the co hosts.
Speaker 3 (02:47:34):
Those are good old school names, right there A reasoner.
So there I was. I was about six months old,
and I was looking out in the black and white
TV in my parents' apartment and saying, and they're sixty
minutes and I never had to live another day without
sixty minutes. That's right, and it's still here today. It
(02:48:01):
is weird when something starts on your in your birth year, Yeah,
because then you think you never never known the world. Yeah,
that's just always been.
Speaker 2 (02:48:09):
Here's something that I think you'll really like.
Speaker 4 (02:48:11):
Yeah, on this day in nineteen seventy seven, Yes, the
Love Boat premiere.
Speaker 3 (02:48:17):
Oh, and the world changed forever.
Speaker 2 (02:48:20):
I didn't realize it was.
Speaker 3 (02:48:21):
That late in the seventies.
Speaker 4 (02:48:23):
Yeah, I always remember coming home from like I would
be you know, out, I was a you know, high
school kid and stuff, and I remember being out and thinking,
you know, the Love Boat was on. I just always
assumed that it was on, But it must have started
right around that time.
Speaker 6 (02:48:36):
M h.
Speaker 3 (02:48:37):
We would watch it because we were.
Speaker 4 (02:48:38):
It was Friday night, right or was it Saturday night?
It was a weekend night for sure. I'm positive for that.
Speaker 3 (02:48:43):
Yeah, oh yeah, it was right before Fantasy Island.
Speaker 2 (02:48:47):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (02:48:47):
I think it was our Friday night viewing. But Charlie's
Angels was also Was that also a weekend o Friday night?
Charlie's Angel was a weeknight show, a weeknight. Yeah, that
was like a Tuesday or a Wednesday night.
Speaker 2 (02:49:00):
That I remember.
Speaker 3 (02:49:02):
We loved Charlie's Angels, oh, Stacy and I loved it.
And heart to heart I loved hard to heart.
Speaker 4 (02:49:09):
Thirty four years ago today, doctor Seuss passed away. He
went ahead and passed away at age eighty seven. Oh,
he had cancer. His real name was Theodore Seuss, Gizelle
or Geisel. He never had kids of his own.
Speaker 3 (02:49:28):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (02:49:28):
And his first book was rejected by over twenty different publishers.
Speaker 3 (02:49:34):
And then look what happened then turned out all.
Speaker 2 (02:49:36):
Right, didn't he?
Speaker 3 (02:49:37):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (02:49:39):
Thirty four years ago today, nineteen ninety one, Nirvana releases
never Mind.
Speaker 2 (02:49:47):
Can you name three of the four biggest hits from Nevermind?
Speaker 3 (02:49:53):
Smells like teen Spirit one, I don't know any other songs?
Speaker 2 (02:49:58):
Then come as You Are As you were as a friend,
and then Lithium.
Speaker 3 (02:50:06):
How's that go?
Speaker 4 (02:50:07):
Lithium? It's so great. It's one of those songs that
they that you you've heard it a million times.
Speaker 3 (02:50:15):
Hey, you didn't know it's called lithium.
Speaker 2 (02:50:17):
And then in Bloom those are the four.
Speaker 3 (02:50:21):
In Bloom, I'm a flower and bloom I'm in bloom,
right something like that?
Speaker 2 (02:50:31):
Oh well, yeah for sure, Yeah, something like that.
Speaker 4 (02:50:36):
And twenty years ago today this would have been their
twentieth anniversary. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were secretly married.
Did you hear that, Molly?
Speaker 3 (02:50:44):
I've never been secretly married. It's always been way in
the open.
Speaker 4 (02:50:50):
Two thousand and five when they got married. Then they
made it about six years. They split up in twenty eleven,
and then their divorce was finalized two years after that.
Speaker 3 (02:50:59):
Yeah, I think to me, Morris just living with I
don't know if she's living there, but with Bruce Willis
and his current wife and their kids. They're like all
together all the time because of his illness. Yeah, I
think they always stayed friends. Saturday Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Saturday, Oh.
Speaker 2 (02:51:19):
Is Saturday Night. We're getting confirmation.
Speaker 3 (02:51:22):
Yes and thank you. Charle Carl says, what Molly likes
Roptown Girl? What's next?
Speaker 2 (02:51:28):
Dave Matthews, No, what fair questions? No fair question no, no, oh.
Speaker 3 (02:51:39):
Doom. I was just looking through the text real quick.
People sending their there that they can't come tonight.
Speaker 2 (02:51:50):
Oh we need we need people to come.
Speaker 3 (02:51:52):
Yeah, well people will be there.
Speaker 4 (02:51:55):
Eighteen years ago today, Big Bang Theory, The Big Bang
Theory prepared on CBS twelve seasons. Jeez, and for a
while it was the top rated comedy or number one
rated comedy, highest rated comedy.
Speaker 3 (02:52:09):
Yeah, that's a good one. That's a good one.
Speaker 2 (02:52:13):
And this is all that.
Speaker 4 (02:52:13):
There's a lot of show premieres because it's late September.
That's when the new season starts.
Speaker 2 (02:52:18):
More on that in a bit.
Speaker 4 (02:52:20):
Fifteen years ago today, Blue Bloods ran on CBS. It
premiered on this day in twenty ten. How many years
did Blue.
Speaker 3 (02:52:28):
Bluds Go started in twenty ten. I think it just
ended two years ago, so fourteen years d Did I
get it right?
Speaker 2 (02:52:39):
Yes, you got it exactly right. Don't be mad because
I was like, I was thinking that ran for like
five or six years.
Speaker 3 (02:52:48):
Well, you weren't paying attention. I was not paying My
mom watched that show. So that's why I could do
the math on it. I know it just ended a
couple of years ago.
Speaker 2 (02:52:55):
Man, I would have never guessed that.
Speaker 3 (02:52:57):
Well, you would have been wrong.
Speaker 2 (02:52:59):
I would have been wrong. I am wrong. I admit
the wrongness of it. Uh Okay.
Speaker 4 (02:53:05):
Now, speaking of television, tonight's the night, as you already know,
the forty ninth season premiere of Survivor.
Speaker 2 (02:53:12):
Yeah, yeah, what's in store this year? What do you hear?
What's the word on the street.
Speaker 3 (02:53:16):
I don't. I have not honestly heard a whole lot
about it. Here's the only thing I do know is
that a couple of people got asked to leave and
alternates had to be put in. Oh, that was early on.
That was because they were talking before. I think they
have to go get them all settled in. They're in
Thailand or wherever they are, and so there's places that
(02:53:37):
they have to stay and they're not supposed to talk
to each other at all or meet or whatever. And
there were a couple of them that were doing that
and I think they got worn twice, so two of them,
if you think about it, and they never talk about this,
they have alternants there because once they want to start
a season, they got to start with their sixteen people,
and so sometimes they'll be a medically and then it
(02:54:00):
cuts it down. But if they don't start with their sixteen, they,
you know, they just have to. I don't know how
many alternatives alternates have been used over the years, but
this is kind of uncharted territory. I think unless they
just haven't told us, I should google that.
Speaker 4 (02:54:16):
And you you've said before that either you believe out
of the forty nine seasons, you've seen forty six of
them something like that.
Speaker 3 (02:54:24):
You said there was at least at least forty of them.
There was a time period. Remember they do two seasons
a year, So like the first five seasons I saw
for sure, and then there was a like, you know,
the ones I really missed was Boston Robb. I saw
maybe the first Boston rob but he came back and
then it was. I think he's been on it four
or five times. He was in the Enemies versus the
(02:54:45):
Good Guys and the Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna see
how many times has survivorver?
Speaker 2 (02:54:56):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:54:57):
What do I ask used used alternates? Why are they
giving him? How do you spell alternates? I can't. What
do I alternate? No? Do you spell it?
Speaker 2 (02:55:15):
There? Okay? All right, what's the what's the Google machine?
Say dad?
Speaker 3 (02:55:19):
By generating producers have used alternates to replace castaways who
dropped out of the game before filming began at least
nine different seasons. The most recent incident occurred in season
forty nine, where two alternates replaced with two regular cast
members twelve hours before filming. The alternate system involves flying
(02:55:43):
one male and one female backup castaway to the filming
location every season in case so I would, I wonder
how many claim to fames there were that I was
an alternate, and then how many times they did that
for the game show? When I got flown down to
lay people who there was one extra for each show
and one guy He's like, I've been an alternate five times,
(02:56:05):
but he lived in LA and they'd bring him in.
So yeah, Australia out Back season two eleven thirteen seventeen nineteen.
Boy oh, Tiffany Seely was brought in at the last
minute because of COVID And then wow, okay, this is
(02:56:25):
interesting because now I'm remembering these people.
Speaker 2 (02:56:28):
So will they acknowledge that on the episode tonight? Do
you think?
Speaker 3 (02:56:31):
Well, haven't before, but they might this one. Jason Trull
and Michelle mc something were alternants who joined the game
twelve hours before filming when the two original cast members
broke pregame rules. Two additional alternates from prior season stage
Nichols and such and so also participate in season forty nine,
making it the most alternate heavy season ever ever. And
(02:56:55):
that was forty eight.
Speaker 2 (02:56:55):
Yeah, hey, I listen to this.
Speaker 4 (02:56:57):
Trevor says he's seen every episodeisode of Survivor, Big Brother
and the amazing race.
Speaker 2 (02:57:04):
Wow, that's quite something.
Speaker 3 (02:57:06):
That's really good, man, that is really good.
Speaker 4 (02:57:13):
And then Brian Dee, I'm sorry, Bobby d has seen
forty eight Survivor seasons.
Speaker 3 (02:57:19):
Wow, that's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (02:57:22):
I've seen them all and you can watch it tonight,
sure night.
Speaker 3 (02:57:25):
Yeah, it's fun to go back and watch the first
one with Richard Hatch We watched the first couple episodes
just for fun on that when I saw every episode
of Yeah, but I kind of brought Ken into it.
I don't know that he watched earlier, but he loves it.
It's our one show we watched together. We love it.
Speaker 2 (02:57:44):
That's good.
Speaker 4 (02:57:46):
So if you're going to be watching that, then you
probably will not see the second season premiere of The
Golden Bachelor.
Speaker 3 (02:57:54):
Probably won't.
Speaker 4 (02:57:55):
He's back and this time he's older. That's eight o'clock
ABC TELEVISIH. There are probably some people that watch both shows.
Speaker 3 (02:58:05):
Oh yeah, probably yeah. It does it say how long
the Survivor? Is it a two hour show? Did you
just say that? It say because the problem is they
started making them so long that we can't just enjoy
a full episode.
Speaker 2 (02:58:21):
I almost think it's better to not see it live.
Don't you want to skip through it?
Speaker 3 (02:58:26):
We always do? Yeah.
Speaker 6 (02:58:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:58:30):
The fourth season premiere of the Floor that's on Fox.
Speaker 3 (02:58:33):
Have you ever watched The Floor?
Speaker 2 (02:58:35):
I saw the Floor?
Speaker 4 (02:58:36):
I think The Floor came on after the Super Bowl
or something, and I remember watching part of it and
then referencing it and then people saying, oh, yeah, we
saw the Floor.
Speaker 2 (02:58:44):
You know, we've seen it multiple times. To me, it
was all brand new. You know.
Speaker 3 (02:58:47):
Where I watched it was on an airplane and it
was because they had limited things you could watch, and
I got really into it. Rob Low's great on it.
It's a fun show. It's fun.
Speaker 4 (02:58:56):
Well, there's a new one starting tonight, series premiere. This
will be on after the Floor and they've been promoting
this like crazy during football. It's called ninety nine to Beat.
It's ken Jong, you know, and the you know, the
guy from Hangover that yes, and Aaron Andrews. They are
the hosts and they have one hundred contestants competing in
(02:59:19):
very very simple games. The grand prize is a million dollars.
But the but the catches. The little gimmick is you
just can't finish last in anything. Oh so there's like
one hundred people and then you know it's like who
can you know, I don't know, unscrew a top of
(02:59:40):
a bottle cap or something, and then whoever is last
they get kicked out.
Speaker 2 (02:59:45):
So you you just can't be last in anything.
Speaker 4 (02:59:48):
Yeah, doesn't matter, you know how many times you win
these things, it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (02:59:53):
Just don't be last. If your last, you're out.
Speaker 3 (02:59:55):
And then they go through one hundred people in one game,
or is it. I think it goes over like t
or something to get eliminated. That partly don't because you'd
have to do one hundred different tasks, yeah, to get right.
Speaker 2 (03:00:06):
And they show him on there and I can't.
Speaker 4 (03:00:08):
I can't think of him, but I have seen him
because they've run different promos and it's all during football,
so they're they're they're going for that competition type crowd.
I don't think it's a show for me, but I
think I like the idea of it.
Speaker 3 (03:00:24):
It's it's a British show. It was a British show,
so and now now at the US.
Speaker 2 (03:00:31):
He he he can be a lot for me, too
much for you.
Speaker 3 (03:00:35):
He's on the masked singer thing and they're always like,
what my mind is blown? Yeah, okay, all right, Well
let's see start with one hundred. Yeah they got it.
Speaker 4 (03:00:50):
That's a tough spot because you're going up against survivor.
Speaker 3 (03:00:55):
Yeah, I don't know, I don't know how many.
Speaker 2 (03:00:57):
And you're going up against the Golden Bachelor. I mean,
I think we'll watch that too.
Speaker 4 (03:01:01):
Yeah, all right, And then tonight is the night the
twentieth season finale of America's got talent.
Speaker 2 (03:01:07):
Somebody wins it.
Speaker 3 (03:01:08):
Tonight they're doing the finale right now, Tonight's night. Yeah,
not weird, it's that weird is Oh, it's like a
suthing and they move.
Speaker 2 (03:01:14):
On to another.
Speaker 4 (03:01:15):
Yeah, Late Night tonight, Jimmy Fallon has Mark Wahlberg, Jimmy
Kemmel who is back on the air.
Speaker 2 (03:01:21):
Now.
Speaker 4 (03:01:23):
They'll have Ethan Hawke, Senator Chris Murphy, and Laney Wilson
will be on with Stephen Colbert. Those are your late
night viewing choices.
Speaker 3 (03:01:33):
Okay, Yeah, we're good, We're good.
Speaker 2 (03:01:37):
We got it.
Speaker 4 (03:01:37):
We have a very busy day because we've got to
be ready for the big event tonight, the anniversary party.
Speaker 3 (03:01:43):
Yeah, we're all be there. Well, and that's okay. So
before that, we're going to get to see our new studio. Yep,
we're going to take a tour that I have to
go buy I believe eight cases of wine today.
Speaker 2 (03:01:56):
And then which just a normal thing for you the
week to get ready for the weekend.
Speaker 3 (03:02:00):
Sure, but I'm hoping that they'll hang on to it
for me because I need it to be picked up
on Friday. I'm trying to strategically buy the wine at
grocery outlet ten percent off on Wednesdays so we can
save money for safety Net, but then have it picked
up Friday. I don't know how that's gonna work out,
but I'll go try to do it.
Speaker 2 (03:02:18):
I have that amount much of the one you want.
Speaker 3 (03:02:22):
I made sure before I taste, had people tasted that
they had enough of it, so should be good. And
then I also still don't know what I'm gonna wear
for the party, the event, I mean the safety and events.
I'm looking too stuff. And I definitely will get a
nap today and then I will be down at mary
Hill by about four thirty.
Speaker 2 (03:02:41):
And tanked by seven ten.
Speaker 3 (03:02:43):
Well, it doesn't take much wine to get me on
the tank trained, so we'll see. Remember last time we
were there, I had only had a glass of wine.
I was like, I don't words, No, you guys had
to talk. And I will bring the microphone thing. Okay,
I think that'll be good. And I'll bring some prizes.
Got to have some prizes for the people.
Speaker 2 (03:03:04):
Yeah, yeah, I'll have some fun.
Speaker 4 (03:03:06):
Yeah, I hope everybody will turn out, and special guest
appearances by several famous.
Speaker 3 (03:03:11):

Speaker 2 (03:03:16):

tour of the new studio. Yeah, we'll do that, and
we'll finish our stuff up here. We'll go down and
do that.
Speaker 4 (03:03:27):
I think I'm pretty good. I should still be good
to myself, at least in the early part of the day.
I might take Malli for a walk. That's not going
to be too much. But I feel way better right
now than I did twenty four hours ago.
Speaker 3 (03:03:41):
I feel better than I did twenty four hours ago,
but worse than I did an hour ago. Oh no, yeah,
oh so I don't know what that's about. I don't
like that up and down. Yeah, yeah, it's okay, it's
everything fun.
Speaker 6 (03:03:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:03:54):
