That's a thirty minute long version hereon Deep Cuts, on this very special
edition of Dead tober on KX ninetythree five. That is from Europe seventy
two Volume two camera line. Whatdo you think of that track? It's
long. It is perfect for asoundtrack for people surfing, skiing, back,
(31:10):
you know, back music. Iwould be great for like working,
yeah, just doing stuff, justliving life. You know, That's what
I was thinking when you were tellingme, You're like, oh yeah,
the movies like twenty five minutes.I'm like, this is an hour and
forty minutes. Well, you know, they could be like do whatever they
want to. It's the soundtrack, and people expect to have the full length
(31:34):
of course, which you should, right, you know, I mean it
is. It is a Grateful Dead, uh you know film. And if
you aren't familiar with the film thatis in question that we are discussing,
it is called Fire on the Mountainand it is the very first film combining
extreme sports performances and Grateful Dead music. It is fully in Worston, back
(32:00):
by the Grateful Dead. The musicand soundtrack is curated by David Lemieux,
the individual that has the keys tothe Kingdom, if you will. Of
the Grateful Dead sounds throughout all time, you know, it's a fantastic film.
It's being shown for the very firsttime on the West Coast here in
(32:21):
Laguna Beach on the Coast Film Festival, Caroline. Where can people find out
information about the Coast Film Festival. So the Coast Film Festival's kicking off tonight.
It's the first annual and people canfind out more information on how to
get tickets at Coast Film Festival dotcom. And yeah, the film is
(32:44):
Fire on the Mountain and that itwill be screened two times tomorrow Friday night
and also Saturday night. And Iknow the Friday night tickets are almost sold
out, so you know, definitelygo on on the website and get your
tickets. And I want to alsosay that Titan Gravity Research UM is the
(33:08):
is the producers of the film, and they are known for their beautiful extreme
sports movies and this one is wayyou know up there, and it's visually
amazing and the the pro athletes areyou know, decked out in glow in
the dark skeletons and shredding on onthe hunsin in the oceans surfing. It's
(33:37):
a really cool movie. So comesout in December. So yeah, we're
really really excited to be able tobe the first West Coast um screening opportunity
for people deadheads and non Deadheads alike. And you know, there's like a
total synergy between action sports vibe andthe passion of the dead community. They
really do. I mean, Ilistened to The Grateful Dead when I was
(33:59):
in high school, when I wasskiing and narrated by by Bill Walton.
Yeah, it's narrated by Bill Walton, who's like the gigantic Deadhead figuratively and
literally hands up. I always endup sitting behind him, and I'm like
the shortest person. It's like sevenfeet tall, basketball legend, Fire on
(34:22):
the Mountain. But I have totell you, like, you know,
it was interesting when I was readingthe write up that you sent me that
was talking about how you know, for so many years, all these you
know, extreme sports athletes love listeningto The Grateful Dead. It's their soundtrack
of choice. So I'm like,of course, it is like it just
gets you in that zone. LikeWe're just sitting here, chit chatting while
you know the other one was playing, and all of a sudden we were
(34:44):
like, oh, what time isit? Like you know, it was
like a time warp, like wejust got totally dialed in. And that's
the beautiful thing about this music. It is an arc reactor, man,
it is a transportation vehicle. Itwill take you, take you out of
where you are and bring you toa different place. It'll bring you to
terrapin station, man, or whereveryou may be, you know, wherever
(35:05):
you may find yourself. And it'sso special, and that's why we celebrate
it here on Dead Tober, wherewe bring together the music and the culture
of the grateful Dead community for thebenefit of us all. And this is
not the only time you'll be hearingus. Of course. We'll be back
with you here in the new year, perhaps before then with another Dead Tober
(35:29):

want to share a little bit moremusic for you, but with you before
art Walking comes on board. They'vegot some fantastic guests of course this evening,
and they'll be sharing with you somefantastic music to get you excited to
go out and move around and walkaround the downtown and check out, you
(35:50):
know, all the fantastic happenings thatyour favorite art galleries are ones that maybe
you haven't ever even ventured into before. But you know, the beckoning of
live music in a in a nicecocktail, you know, always welcomes those
that might be a bit reluctant.Right, So Caroline, if people want
to catch fire on the Mountain atthe Coast Film Festival, where do they

out and enjoy it. And youknow, it's really a labor of love
and a passion. And the cofounders, I have to say are Luguna
Beach local Ben Warner and Ben Klassenand yeah, and Ena Harris. Those
(37:45):
are the three guys that have kindof brainchild of all three of them,
and we have an awesome team.I want to give a shout out to
Maigan and Miles and Kirsten who areworking really hard to all of us to
make this thing happen. Absolutely, that's so beautiful, man, I tell
